It's actually so sad that Nesta isn't a POC because I could've been such a good Nesta. Edit: I'd actually make a fire Elide Lochan too. If she was a little less pale and taller. But hell just put a giant man besides me and I'll look tiny anyway. I've got the tits for it and I have that innocent look to pull it off.

Okay. So I’ve been reading your Trollhunter au and I was wondering, what’s gonna happen with the gaggletech?
Has jim been faking a life long iron allergy??
Like how is he gonna play this out?
Also, any funny head cannons or just bits of information about the characters and their relationships that you like and aren’t plot relevant but are super fun?
Don't want to give too much away but here's some spoilers and tidbits.
Let's just say that a Gaggletack is only a Gaggletack if it's made of "pure" iron, without it you probably couldn't tell it any different from any old horse shoe.
Now for some headcanons and tidbits:
1. Jotnar is Gunmars youngest son and technically has no second patent, given he was born from the remains of a "true" Ice-Troll and Gunmars life energy.
2. Jotnar is Bular younger brother, since Bular is heir Jotnar was expected to grow up and take orders from him. But honestly, he still annoys him like any little brother does.
3. Aaaarrrgh and Jotnar were....close back before the battle of Killahead, the troll was both trainer and like a second parent to Jotnar. So after Aaaarrrgh left you could say Jotnar developed some abandonment issues.
4. Jotnar was a difficult Changeling and child to Barbara and James Sr., being unable to accept having to act like a human and family to the Lakes. But when James left it finally forced him to see that his actions had consequences and made him incredibly guilty about how he treated Barbara. He vows to protect her, even if it means the rest of the world burned.
5. Stricklander calls Jotnar his and the Janus Orders "Changeling Prince", a title of pristige among a species that's ridiculed. His hope is that I'd Jotnar could accept being a Changeling he could perhaps garner favor from his father to give their species the respect and power they deserve along with protecting them from Bular. Jotnar knows Stricklerlanders probably just using him but appreciates his help and support. He has a habit of becoming attached to his mentors and Stricklander is no different.

i'm cry laughing some people on twitter are now saying "izzy bashing" needs to be tagged in fics. how did these people ever survive watching this show where izzy is the CANON ANTAGONIST i'll never know
benefit of the doubt but i think most of them have gotten to this point gradually. when they first watched the show they were not attached to izzy the way they are now. i know for a lot of people it was blorbo at first sight with izzy but i've also seen izzy enjoyers say they didn't like him at first, and then fandom made them care about him.
like i'm pretty sure for a lot of ppl it started off with isolating themselves from ppl who made posts that they didnt like, like ppl who criticized ofmd for being based on two real people with direct connections to actual real-world slave trade (which is an incredibly valid thing to criticize abt ofmd).
another one that i think funneled a lot of fans towards being so delusionally attached to izzy was people pointing out or complaining about the disproportionate amount of fan content for izzy compared to prominent characters of color—which is a consistent issue in fandom no matter what the media, and is also a very easy one for people to be uncomfortable with whenever they see it get pointed out. people venting that "fans care too much abt this white man" often make fans who care abt that white man very defensive right off the bat, and then rather than engage with why they feel defensive or question if maybe their enjoyment of this character is fueled by implicit bias (which it might not be, to be clear! im not saying—and i have never said—that everyone who enjoyes izzy likes him for racist reasons), they stop listening to the conversation abt white favoritism and continue blorboposting as much as they want. it's incredibly easy for fans to brush off this convo as "just starting drama" and avoid the topic altogether because "fandom is for fun!" and they dont want to think abt difficult topics like racism and implicit bias, they just want to enjoy their blorbos in peace.
so they kept narrowing the takes they were seeing until they were in an echo chamber that kept moving more and more towards complete woobification of izzy hands. these people are now looking at the show entirely through izzy's pov, making posts abt how sad it is that none of the other characters are ever nice to him, how frustrating the show is from his perspective, how it feels to be deeply in love with someone who doesn't love you back. they've stared at gifs of con's micro-expressions and read angsty fanfiction and looked at endless izzy fanart and their entire ofmd fandom experience revolves around empathizing with this one character even tho the show itself continually makes him the butt of the joke.
at this point, telling these people to rewatch the show doesn't even matter. they've spent so much time over-analyzing every single one of izzy's scenes to the point where the emotional responses they get from these scenes are not the emotional responses anyone would have watching the show for the first time. they've warped the entire first season to fit their version of the show and are forgetting how often the show itself bashes izzy.
and the icing on the cake is the trolling. there's like, one or two people on here who go around sending anon hate and leaving nasty comments on instagram posts and harassing people on twitter for... like, i would say "for liking izzy" or even "for saying positive things about izzy" but like. i've gotten these messages, and the most sympathetic i've ever been to izzy was the post i made like "maybe he's mean bc he has chronic IBS. i'd actually understand him more if that were the case." so when i get these messages it's easier for me to just laugh them off bc it's so obviously just someone trying to make me upset, but people who do care about izzy (a lot of them being the same people who avoided engaging with the "why does fandom care so much abt white characters" convo) get these absolutely horrible messages about how they deserve to get hate crimed and they should kill themselves. and these fans who didn't want to even see vaguely negative posts abt izzy bc they just want to enjoy fandom in peace are now like "im targeted for just liking a character!"
so that's how we get to people saying that "izzy bashing" needs to be tagged. never mind that their definition of "bashing" almost certainly includes things that are not bashing but are just things that contradict the way they headcannnon him.
#ask#anon#mine#txt#og#izzy critical#izzy hands#ofmd fandom crit#if this post is in the izcourse tag no it isnt u just dont know how to use tumblr#obligatory Not All Izzy Fans disclaimer#also btw in case anyone tries to come at me with “it's stupid to tell people to pay attention to different characters”:#noticing the disappointing trend of fandom to fixate on white side characters ≠ telling people to stop making izzy content#im not telling individual izzy hands enjoyers to stop paying attention to izzy. there are a lot of reasons why ppl might like izzy#if i interact w someone whose ofmd contribution is primarily pro-izzy my thought is “oh they like antagonists”#not “oh they don't care about characters of color bc they're racist” ok im not gonna jump there without a reason#but on a fandom-wide scale this is a Trend that has happened over and over again in fandom after fandom after fandom#like We Live In A Society bro we can't just pretend white men are always the faves in fandoms just by coincidence#but also tbh if you think im saying that You Personally need to make content for characters of color? and you're getting MAD at me for it??#then ur probs not someone i want making content for those characters lmao. u keep izzyposting to ur heart's content <3 have fun bestie

I just finished playing Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, so! here are some of my favorite quotes/Convos:
(They range from silly and fun to poetic)
(They are arange as I got them in game, so if you feel like they are out of place they weren't for me.)
"The present will pass by if you live in the past. Neither should you wait too long for the future to find you." - Khalid (Said by Jaheira)
"If you didn't want to be cooked, then why did you apply for the job? I think you'll make a tasty snack! Boys! Get'em!" - Troll Cook
"Now walk away and see to your little rescue effort. Take your time. Enjoy life. You have much to face." - Farkraag
"Now you are speaking the language of Minsc! Next we must get you a hamster! Or perhaps an ice weasel, whatever your taste." - Minsc
" I keep casting spells because that is who I am. If I stopped I wouldn't know myself anymore. I'd be a fish without fins. a bird without---uhh..., [...] I'm sorry, Aerie! Gods! My foot's so far in my mouth I'm chewing on my ankle! It tastes terrible! Don't cry! I am so sorry. I didn't mean to-" - Neera
"Relax, [Charname], I will not be gone long. Please, I will explain when I return. I... I do not wish to be apart from you too long. I will return when I can." - Jaheira
"As a child of Bhaal, have you... violent thoughts?" - Galvery
"Can you sign my shirt?" - Neeber
"If your parents don't buy you a [...] stick they don't love you!" - Random voice on background in Trademeet.
" You are not 'The Harper in my midst,' you are Jaheira by my side." - Dialogue option
"With natures love and Mine, Jaheira." - Jaheira (Said in the note given to you by ''Terminsel'')
"Why is your friend pointing a hamster at me?" - Pirate Lord
"The madness fades, and the essence within retreats, but if this continues, you will lose not only yourself, but also everything you hold dear." - Narrator
"No! No collar! I will not be collared by the smelly fishmen! My warrior spirit will not bear such a thing!" - Minsc
"Yippee!" - Beholder
"[Charname], what are we doing in the slums? Have you gotten us lost again? Hey, I heard Volo was compiling a dictionary, I sent him a sketch of your face for his entry on 'Hopeless'" - Imoen (Mod)
And that's it! I love this game! It's all I think, dream and fantasize about lol
I just started ToB! we'll see where the story takes me <3
Also I really recommend going into it kinda blind, I had no previous knowledge of DnD or BG in any capacity and honestly that discovery of the aspects of the game made it so much more fun.
(I started to read the first BG game since it's famously bad, It's on Internet Archive!)
~Bye!
#bg2#bg2 spoilers#baldur's gate 2#Imoen#Jaheira bg2#Minsc bg2#Neera bg2#I do have some found feelings with the almost black and white thinking of the games but idk 😐

The State of Questlines
As a big quest liker one update I always like to see is a continuation of a classic unresolved questline. There are a few continuations that would be easy backports but i also think just as many backports would be big missed opportunities. TIME TO EXAMINE THESE QUESTLINES FOR THEIR VALUE AND WHERE TO TAKE THEM.
Cave Goblins/Chosen Commander
This one is pretty easy to accept backport, the cave goblin line is a fan favorite and Chosen Commander is pretty well liked. However I personally like cave goblins SO MUCH that I hope to see Chosen Commander expanded to see additions to Dorgesh-Kaan, nothing too crazy, maybe a slayer monster with a decent drop added to the caves. Chosen Commander also needs some rewrites, the plot point that Bandos makes Zanik murder a racist REALLY HARD and that's bad actually is dumb. Kill Sigmund's ass queen. God forbid a woman do anything.
It's just very 2000's Marvel movie ass writing, I'd put up with it but I think we could do better. Have Grubfoot get possessed instead, seeing him kill someone WOULD be out of character and alarming.
Glouphrie/Arposandra
Path of Glouphrie was literally 2 weeks from being in the 07 backup. But perhaps its a good thing it's not in osrs because it's honestly not very good which is a shame because the story surrounding it and Arposandra has intrigued me since I was a kid. A hostile gnome faction outside of just the rogue Glouph could be used as a launch platform for more quests, bosses, challenging content, and areas. As an added bonus it would be unique to osrs, since rs3 has also only eluded to the area with the last relevant quest being Prisoner of Glouphrie in 2011. I honestly think this would be a great thread to pick up with a continued questline.
Fremennik
Fremennik Exiles was a 10/10 quest and it's time we got a sequel and I know just where to go. I think we're close to finishing off the Fremennik storyline but it's not time for the Grandmaster quite yet, so what I'm suggesting is a two part finale; Ragnarok 1 and 2.
In part 1 we head to a new area; Acheron, the long teased frozen wasteland. This area would be ruled by an empire of Ice Trolls, patrolled by dangerous Penguins, populated with imposing mammoths, and covered with unique skilling opportunities. Plenty of people have already suggested adding this area and my ideas aren't unique from theirs but I think a new "hostile" region similar to morytania or the desert could be a cool.
Then in part 2 we get the Grandmaster conclusion to the story, I don't have anything specifically in mind for this.
Fairy Tale
Zanaris is a pretty iconic part of osrs to me but I aside from the great tools they unlock the fairy tale quests themselves have always been sort of minor. I think one last Master quest to tie up this storyline would be nice, but that's all I want. I do think it'd be cool if we got to see more Fairy Dragons though, maybe they can drop Dragon Battlestaves.
Dwarf Questline
We need the Hand Cannon in osrs now more than ever, a weapon that performs off of Firemaking would be such a good fun addition.
Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf would honestly probably work as a backport if any files of it exist in osrs but I just don't really think the dwarf questline needs 3 more quests like in rs3. I like seeing old questlines but I prefer to see them get wrapped up rather than stretched out, so few quests get added these days that I don't really wanna wait on more than 2. One thing I do wanna see get tied up though is Between a Rock, that quest is a favorite and the weird matter demon we meet is never really brought up again, I wanna know more about that so badly.
Cold War
Cold War is a very good, funny, 2000's internet ass quest and I wanna see a follow up so bad. I think Hunt for Red Raktober could receive a backport but after that I think it should receive a close out quest after you complete after Ragnarok part 1.
Desert/Menaphos
This one has just started up again recently and I'm pretty pleased with all the lore and character progression surrounding it. I don't think we'll see more of this questline for a bit though, the next quest in the questline is shaping up to be a "Sins of the Father" sized introduction to Menaphos and I really hope that Menaphos is a big rich city with lots of detail and stuff to do similar to Priffdinas.
Kourend
Obviously there's not much to reference here since it's completely osrs original and it's a questline I hope they carry on for a while. Kingdom Divided teased the introduction of Valimore so I think the next few quests in the questline will begin to introduce that kingdom. I hope we get to see Zeah populated with some more Twisted Tales before we go to the next big step in the story.
White Knights/Sea Slug
This is a questline we could probably leave running forever since It doesn't exactly have a defined end of any kind. One thing that I would like to see concluded in a sequel quest however would be the Sea Slug questline, even just an intermediate follow up would sate my curiosity. Something I would like to see brought back to the storyline would be more Black Knights, maybe after Slug Strikes Back Camelot and Temple Knights can team up for a big Black Knight Master Quest.
Myreque
This questline is basically just waiting around for its Grandmaster finale anyday. I don't think Morytania really needs any new content so I think the next quest should just be one last big face off with drakan.
Pirate
I really like the Pirate quests and hope to see a sequel to Great Brain Robbery. Rocking Out could be a pretty easy backport but I don't have much in mind here after that. The pirate story doesn't need a big Grandmaster quest but the south east sea could probably use a few more cool islands with puffins.

1: What is your favorite trope to write?
Enemies to lover, Porn without plot, Porn with plot, Crack treated Seriously, In Vino Veritas
2: What is your least favorite trope to write?
Crossovers of any kind, Hanahaki, Mpreg, Love Triangle
3: What is the main program you use for writing (google docs, the ao3 writing text box, etc.)
Microsoft Word, though I have been known to use Google Docs as well.
4: What is the main site you publish/write on?
I pretty much exclusively publish on AO3. I used to crosspost to AO3 and Fanfic.net, but I have not posted to FF.net in a number of years and don't know if I plan to again.
5: The fic you’re most proud of writing?
Making Love on the Edge of a Knife (Wednesday 2022)
6: The fic you’re least proud of writing?
That Was Then, This Is Dumb (Daria), it was too rushed and unedited. It could have been done better, but I wrote it so long ago, I have no interest in revisiting it.
7: Favorite ship to write?
Wednesday Addams x Xavier Thorpe (Wenvier) and Yuri Plisetsky x Otabek Altin (Otayuri) I have some Otayuri works that have been rotting in my WIPs folders.
8: Least favorite ship to write?
Jimmy Jr. Pesto x Tina Belcher (Tinnimy - I'm sorry!)
9: Biggest pet peeve while writing?
When I feel like my writing isn't concise enough and I struggle with corrections in the editing process or when I think something makes sense as I'm writing it and when I go back over it during editing I find myself wondering what the hell I was thinking.
10: Best/funniest comment you’ve ever gotten on a fic?
Funniest (to me, because I thrive on trolling and chaos) - a commenter once told me my story was perfect until they got to the part where the male character fingered themselves. They told me I should have been more specific with my tags.
11: Do you prefer writing angst, crack, or fluff?
Crack (treated seriously), though I feel I usually write angst without meaning to.
12: First ever fic written?
Here's to Belcher Growing Up (Bob's Burgers)
13: Latest fic written/latest WIP?
I'm working on an Otayuri fanfic for the Yuri On Ice fandom.
14: First fandom you ever wrote fanfiction for?
Bob's Burgers
15: Fandom you wrote the most fanfiction for?
It's currently an even split between the Wednesday (2022) fandom and Bob's Burgers fandom.
16: Do you prefer co-writing something or just working on it by yourself?
I'd love the opportunity to co-write with more fic writers, but I work on my own stuff. I have had a few collaborations in the Wednesday fandom that I've enjoyed.
17: Favorite AU to write?
I steer clear of AUs, but I did a Wednesday stalker AU writer project with a group of other writers and I loved how it turned out. My favorite fanfic I've ever written came to fruition as a result.
18: Most words/chapters ever written for one fic or oneshot?
Oneshot: 17,412 words - Making Love on the Edge of a Knife; Wednesday
Multichapter: 86,720 word, 15 Chapters - Here's to Belcher Growing Up; Bob's Burgers
19: Have you ever created an OC for a fic?
No. I try my hardest to use characters that already exist.
20: Hardest character to write/get the characterization correct for?
I have a very hard time writing Tina Belcher and feeling like I've captured the essence of her character. I also have a hard time writing Viktor Nikiforov from Yuri on Ice!!! and feeling like I've done him justice. There are a handful of others, but those two are my main ones.
This was fun and I've always wanted to do one of these so thank you to @small-tragedies for tagging me!
I want to tag a few others because I would like to see their responses:

Hi I was wondering if you have any goalies you'd recommend who are super fun/interesting to watch? I've been looking at some, but you're a Goalie Person and I've only just gotten into hockey so I thought I'd ask an expert
Oh my GOD you have come to the right place, I'm cackling maniacally right now. Buckle up, my love, this may get long (it'll be worth it, I promise)
First up, obviously, is He Who Reigns Supreme in My Heart, Marc-Andre Fleury, aka Flower, aka You Little Shit. This man is the ultimate troll. He's a prankster known for his trickery and hijinks, but the best part is he's never mean-spirited about them. All his pranks are harmless and silly, like taping former teammates' sleeves inside out or moving all the furniture out of a teammate's hotel room so he comes back to a completely empty space, or zipping himself up inside an equipment bag and popping out when his teammate opened it.
He's also pretty damn good at the whole hockey thing and he's never lost his joy at playing the game, which makes him SO much fun to watch.
He's also pretty much universally beloved. Even Flyers fans rarely have anything negative to say about him, despite him being a Penguin for the bulk of his career. Here are some of my favorite examples of him being a menace:
The time he pretended not to know how to skate and literally flipped over a wall because of his commitment to the bit
A video I took myself, the one time I was able to see him play (still one of my best memories), and he tried to assassinate an Avs player in cold blood (his stick to Donskoi's skate - he's just trying to overbalance him so he's not in position for the upcoming to play)
He's the sweetest guy in the world but he will not put up with intruders on his crease
He kisses his goalposts and thanks them in both French and English when they make a save for him
The ice-cream truck story (also a great example of why his wife is perfect for him)
Shooting a puck at himself so he could stop it during warmups
Okay we're gonna be here all night if I don't stop myself now, so I'll end my treatise on why you should accept Flower into your heart with one final offering. For backstory, mans really wants two things in his NHL career. To get in a fight, and to score a goal. The problem with the fighting is his team adores him so much that they absolutely won't allow any harm to come to him, so the second he tries something, they will dogpile him to keep him safe.
Watch what he does with Matthew Tkachuk's helmet (at 19 seconds) and his team's reaction to Chucky's aggression Gotta be one of my very favorite videos of him.
Okay, the rest under the cut
Next up, Elvis Merzlikins. Not only is he a ray of sunshine and the sweetest boy in Columbus (now that Panarin is gone) but he's also pretty as hell
He's incredibly athletic
Tattoos 👀
He's SO classy
His reaction to his wife going into labor (he's from Latvia)
When Nick Foligno was on the team, this was how he and Elvis celebrated wins:
This happened after Nick left and I cried
So fans stepped up to hug him
Another of his and Nick's hugs
When I say he's classy I mean he's really a great guy
He has an adorable dog named Koby
He's funny
And uhhh flexible *sweats*
Moving on before I combust—next we have Thatcher Demko! Goalie for the Canucks, he recently earned the starter position but he captured my heart a long time ago. My tag for him is 'welcome to donut' and you'll see why
He loves his teammates
He's never heard of toxic masculinity, thanks
He gives great hugs
He almost never gets angry, so it's always startling when he does
Welcome to donut
He's super silly
SO silly
And he can't dance (but that doesn't stop him)
He's legendary for the college story
And here's the video of it
This picture
And finally, the video that made me fall in love with him
Okay, LAST ONE. Igor Shesterkin of the New York Rangers is not only one of the best goalies in the world (he just won the Vezina this year) but he's also delightful. He's very quiet, shy and introverted, but when he's comfortable with people, he's an absolute troll and it's SO funny
He and Panarin are really good friends
Panarin's very much a jokester and Igor's loosened up from being around him
This was me when I first saw him play
His teammates love him a lot
He's got no time for Brad Marchand
He wears headbands!! Under his helmet!! They were "cheap deal from Amazon" according to him
He cut his hair himself
He doesn't speak much English but he understands a lot more than he can speak, and once teased his translator for forgetting what he was saying
And he looks like this out of his gear
There you go, my top fave goalies chosen for their personalities. They're all worth following, although sometimes their teams... not so much
#Marc Andre Fleury#Thatcher Demko#Elvis Merzlikins#Igor Shesterkin#hockey#goalies#sorry this took so long but it's been a month of a week#Igor also trolled the Penguins once after a win and it was very funny#(he waved goodbye as they left the ice)#and the funniest part was how insane it made Pens fans#like swearing instant hatred for life on the basis of a wave#hockey fans are something else man#anyway I hope you enjoy my goalie primer and also that I don't break Tumblr by posting this

More Frozen 3 Stuff
So, my basic idea for the Bad Guys side plot of my hypothetical Frozen 3/Frozen TV show is this:
The old soldier Voland is seeking to unlock something held with a magic mirror, currently protected by enchantment laid with the help of the previous 5th Spirit (who I'll explain more about in the next part where I do the Heroes storyline) and the four Elemental Spirit Gaurdians.
In order to break their enchntments, Voland needs to obtain four magical items capable of binding the Spirits. For this purpose he has gathered four people with special skills and connections that can help him gain the items, and who are desperate enough to bidn themsleves to him.
The four itmes he seeks are an ancient lantern crafted to hold the hottest Fire, a silver bridle string enough to tame even the rolling raging Sea, a bag gifted to hold the wildest Wind and a bell that rings deep enough to rock the foundations of the Earth.
Each of these items would correspond to an Elemental Spirit Gaurdian, each of whom will be encountered by Elsa on her journey to discover what it mean to be the 5th Spirit (yes its basically kinda Avatar but when youre working with an Elemental Magic system you run that risk).
Elsa's main guide on this journey will be Vand, the Spirit of Water, who we've already met in his horse form as the Nokk (credit to @im-fairly-whitty who created his human form and name based off of Scandinavian folklore where the Nokk had the human form of a man playing a violin).
Everyone has a an element they're most linked to, and Elsa's is Water, always deeper then you think, and linked to eternal transformation. Thus Vand will be her spirit guide on her journey.
Dovregubben is the Mountain King, lord of all the Earth spirits, suck as the rock giants and the trolls. He dwells within Miner's Mountain beyond Elsa's Ice Palace.
Then there's Tuuletar, the true name of Gale the Wind Spirit, who prefers to tak the form of a woman outlined in leaves when they deign to take human form.
And finally there is Norrsken, the eldest of the Salamnaders who's flame is the echo Northern Lights itself.
For fun here's a size comparison of them all worh Vand in human form/size for scale.( Both Wind and Water are able to change their size as needed )
Since this is a passion project for fun I get to make it the movie/show I'd want, and I wnt some actual Disney crossovers. So my idea for the heist plot the Bad Guys are on is this. First, they have to travel to Glowerhaven, home of Princess Ida, where the journal of one Herz deSonne of Corona has washed up and is in the process of being transcribed and restored before being returned to Corona. The book has the locations of the other items they need, and Hans, with his knowledge of court and ways of twisting people, is sent in to gain it, where he runs into the far too perseptive Princess Ida, who's insight into his psychology rattles him, and is what begins the first crack that launches his eventually Redemption Arc.
Each location afterwards would focus on learning more about the other members of the group and slowly building up the mystery of Voland and his ultimate goals as well as the slow burn of Han's Redemption as he both has informative exprinces as he helps steal each item, and realizes just how much like Voland he could turn out if he continuesto follow this path, and how little he truly wants that (also his slow burn enemies to friends to lovers relationship with Karen).
The Lantern is the Spire which Rapunzel once discovered in her own series, and would be a Hans centric episode, and might have a cameo with a now married with children Rapunzel and Eugene.
The Bell is located in the Kingdom of Peltinore, where we'd learn more about the sadisitic Inge and how her cruelty landed her in the Dark Realm, which she only escaped with Voland's help, as well as meeting a young Prince Charming, pre-Cinderella.
The Bridle is located in the Kingdom of Equis, ruled by the boorish King Trevor, where we'd also learn more about Skyggen and hia tragic backstory of how his magical experiments ended up with hia own shadow stealing his life and his desperation to regain it with Voland's help.
Finally, the Bag of Winds (as seen before in my Canon Descendants Little Mermaid story) is located in the kingdom of Tirulia, where Hans and Karen must face the questions, riddles ( and knife )of a strange statue, and we learn of Karen's story as a lonely young orphan who only wanted to be pretty as the young Princess Ida, and foolishly accepted a pair of red dancing shoes given to her by an old soldier, that she's never been able to get free of since.
The Mirror of course is to be found in Atohallan, where the final battle between Elsa and her family and Voland and his minions will take place...

¸¸♬·¯·♩¸¸♪·¯·♫¸¸¸¸♫·¯·♪¸¸♩·¯·♬¸¸
1. book you’ve reread the most times?
honestly i never really reread books completely, i just go back to the parts i really liked. i think the books i did that most with were the harry potter books, they were a huge part of my childhood and even tho i haven't touched them in a while i still know like. everything about them lmao
2. top 5 books of all time?
bUCKLE UP ALRIIIGHT-
1. my favorite book of all time is the secret garden, even tho it's a rather old children's book it's so adorable and it has beautiful messages and some sort of magic without being really fantasy
2. i. love. the first law by joe abercrombie. not even one single book, just all of them. joe abercrombie is the best author i ever read in my life and i'm begging you to check him out if you like fantasy, abercrombie is basically like game of thrones but a lot better (coming from a game of thrones fan)
3. it's really not the kind of book i'd read usually but i did and i'm glad: fangirl by rainbow rowell touched me and i think it was first time i was really able to connect to a main character, it was so great honestly, it was such a beautiful romance and i think every fic author who was really lonely at some point can feel with cath
4. it was the first book i read entirely in english and i loved it - lost boy by christina henry was really good and a really interesting look at the story of peter pan which is very interesting either way, it was just so much fun to read
5. oh my god. okay so. i only read this book because i had seen a trailer for the movie adaptation and ben barnes was in it. (i love ben barnes like. i'm straight for ben barnes) anyways the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde is so good and so weird and so beautiful and so aesthetic and so gross and aaaah it's amazing please go and read it!! (funfact i still haven't seen the movie)
3. what is your favourite genre?
fantasy. hands down fantasy. i'm open to most genres, there are very few genres that i don't like at all, but i've read fantasy all my life. harry potter by j. k. rowling, the hobbit by j.r.r. tolkien, sea of trolls by nancy farmer, jig the goblin by jim c. hines, a song of ice and fire by george r.r. martin, the first law by joe abercrombie, the demom cycle by peter v. brett, fablehaven by brandon mull, shattered sea also by joe abercrombie (i am BEGGING you to check out joe abercrombie if you haven't already) and so many more, so yeah it's fantasy lmao
7. is there a series/book that got you into reading?
not really, i've always been reading, like when i was a little kid i would be invited to a birthday party and just sit in the corner and read when i was done with the other kids. i think really actively reading series and books by myself... the first one must've been harry potter, i started to read that at age 6 and it kinda got me into fantasy as a genre and was the first thing i read which didn't have pictures in it lmao

Olivia Reads Fate/Stay Night ~Fate~ Route (Blind Readthrough) Part 1: Intro Sequence and Rin!
Before we begin with this readthrough I'd like to personally thank anyone and everyone who has come here to listen (or read I suppose) my maddened ramblings. You truly make it worth it. Now on to the readthrough. Intro Sequence By now this intro scene is engrained even into my mind and there’s not really much to say about it. As this is a blind review however here’s a basic summary of the events: Shirou, in a state of desperation, summons perhaps one of the most famous characters in the franchise to fend off an unknown attacker. The King of Knights stands before him and asks the iconic line: “I ask of you, are you my master?”. She then states that their fates (heh) are now entwined before the scene fades to white leading into the Rin prologue. On the more technical end; the music in the Realta Nua version is phenomenal. as is Ayako Kasumi’s performance as Saber even this early on in what would be a long career
What I think the anime (Unlimited Blade Works in particular) doesn’t quite convey is Shirou’s mystique and awe in the face of the King of Knights, nor his poetic heart. He’s clearly much much more intelligent and thoughtful than quite a few people give him credit for.
By all accounts this is true in a both a literal and meta-sense. 17 years later people are still discussing the franchise with nearly the same vigor as larger properties like One Piece or Dragon Ball. As for the literal, well, we all know Shirou’s dark fate. On the topic of darkness, I love how they portray Arturia. Awash in the light of the moon while Shirou is cowering in the dark. The contrast is beautiful and highlights just how important of a role she’d play in the would-be-hero’s future. What I find to be fascinating is how much imagery is loaded into these first few moments. That, coupled with Shirou’s prose, makes for a gorgeous introduction. My only issue with it is the whiplash bait-and-switch from Shirou’s perspective to Rin’s; especially with the knowledge that we’ll need to essentially re-read that part to begin with. It weakens some of the dramatic tension and choreography. Prologue: Day 1 (Part 1) And so the Rin prologue begins, in bed, with traumatic memories and regrets. So an ordinary morning for this reviewer. It’s also the first mention of the Holy Grail War that took place during the events of Fate/Zero. Rin’s final memories of her father do pull at my heart-strings however. Wanting to make someone laugh before you see them off is, in my opinion, a noble pursuit. Given what I know of Tokiomi from the events of Fate/Zero I can also agree that his character was perhaps one of the finer among the mages. At least compared to Kiritsugu “Sign a magical contract, can’t shoot, hire someone else to first for me” Emiya, Kirei “My religious views make my sadism and hedonism weird for me” Kotomine, and Lord El Melloi “Old Money, Old Magecraft” Archibald. -Only for the lovely siren song of the world’s most annoying alarm clock to start ringing.
I agree with you there Rin, I feel like I’m being attacked as well. Terrible assault on the ears aside, we learn that Rin has been up late at night studying her Father’s will. A hobby that not even I would recommend. After struggling to get out of bed in time for class (Rin really is my spirit animal), she promptly complains about the coldness of her home. As someone who lives in Boston and has never heard of Central Air, this is painfully relatable. Have you had to sit on a toilet seat with ice in the bowl? I don’t recommend it. After the most uncomfortable scene of someone humble-bragging about their rich (literally in this case) background (likely because she can’t to anyone else), she explains that she is in fact a mage and what that entails. Persecution, isolation, and regular communion with forces beyond what most can comprehend. She also goes on to reference the 5 magics (familiar if you’ve played Melty Blood or read Tsukihime, something I’m sure to cover at some point).
What I find to be interesting here is that she fundamentally separates herself from the rest of humanity, treating herself as an outsider despite living what she’d consider ‘an ordinary life’. She shows longing and desire for the things that everyone else has access to and seems to disdain magic on it’s own. But to paraphrase Rin: “Let’s put off difficult discussions, they can wait till they’re old.” As Rin heads out she grabs a rather suspicious (and important) pendant that she managed to find after decoding Tokiomi’s will. It makes me wonder, did he lock up the Tohsaka family heirlooms in various vaults; hoping that someday his heir or maybe one of hers would be able to open them? Was he trolling his daughter? Or am I reading too much into this? Besides her finding the mystical cure-a-spear-to-the-heart jewel, Rin goes on to explain how Tohsaka family magic works. Essentially by slowly storing magic in jewels to draw upon at a later date. I’m reminded of Stormlight and its use of spheres, but that’s besides the point. There’s also a brief discussion of magic crests and how they’re essentially all the magical experiences of her predecessors engraved into her arm. Fun. Rin then goes on to finally leave her house after nearly thirty minutes of getting ready and shows a remarkable knowledge of German. Something that even I haven’t quite managed to master. There’s some brief world building with this area of Fuyuki being a blend of Eastern and Western architecture (as an architect myself this is fascinating to me) and draws a line of parallel between Rin and Shirou. Rin lives in a fancy Western-style mansion and longs for the future, while Shirou lives in the Eastern-style Emiya Residence and yearns for ideals that don’t quite exist anymore. As Rin hurries off to school, a sense of eeriness and unease washes over us, only for us to learn the most terrible and terrifying fact of all. She got up early and so her early morning panic was wasted. Oh and we also meet Ayako who is as exhaustingly energetic as usual. Somehow Rin’s clocks were all an hour fast. She suspects Tokiomi’s work, but I doubt the Tohsaka family Patriarch was one for pranks. Ayako drags Rin off the almost exorbitantly fancy Archery range and they begin to discuss their mutual search for a partner. Have I said that Rin is my spirit animal? I’m sure I must have by now.
This is the first glimpse we get at Rin’s competitive side. Ayako may have been the one to initiate the relationship, but any strong rivalry requires mutual input from both parties. A solid example of this can be seen in the relationship between Sanji and Zoro in One Piece. If I were less astute, I’d prop Ayako as up a potential antagonist later on during the route. As for the contest itself, it’s petty in the most realistic of ways. Attempting to get a boyfriend or girlfriend just to rub it in the face of your rival? I’ve definitely experienced that in my (admittedly brief) lifetime. Well we’ll have to find out another time as I’ve come to realize just how long this document is getting. Join me next week and we’ll continue along with the Rin prologue and hope we get to her summoning of Archer. This has been a fascinating look at the series I’ve adored for so long, just seeing the characters thoughts on the most simple of matters has been an eye-widening experience. This is Olivia Reviews and I can’t wait to see you next time.

******Trigger Warning For Anyone Offended at Fat/Thick/BBW Girls Hiking********
If you're going to judge, ridicule, be negative, troll, creep, insult or otherwise showcase your severe insecurities, lack of self esteem, and project your own unhappiness through inappropriate comments, move on, find a therapist who can help and start working on yourself.....this post is unapologetic.
Okay, now that I've gotten that out of the way 😅 I wanted to change up my normal blog for a hot minute. 🔥
For clarity purposes, I'm going to use the word fat. F. A. T.
If this bothers you, take a minute to reflect on why.
See, society has taught us that "fat" as an adjective is bad, negative and insulting. So we hesitate to use it, or we make other terms that sound more socially acceptable.
I'm not fat. I have fat. A little more than than average individual and I know it's not healthy (for me). But if I met another person, same age/height/weight I don't get to assume that they're unhealthy....I don't get to body shame or tell them what their body should be like.
Fat has a biological reason for survival. Too much can lead to health issues, including death. Too little can lead to health issues, including death.
Yet we as society continue to body shame. Every decade sides are chosen. In the 90s and fordt part of the 2000s, thin was in. Then 2010 happened....and curves, wider hips, thick thighs and full faces were the new rage.
The reality is the only person who should have an opinion about body types is the person who owns the body....not anyone else.
A few months ago I posted in a hiking FB group, asking for gear/clothing recommendations for larger/thicker hikers...specifically women. While 90% of the comments were supportive and helpful. A few were not. One group member took it upon themselves to DM me and told me "to stop eating and save some for the rest of us". Followed by name calling and using certain slurs I refuse to re type here.
A few years ago, this would have cases a major panic attack, with a depression episode to follow (I battle with PTSD, anxiety, depression).
But the more I've pushed myself on trail, the greater my own self esteem and self confidence has grown.....which has resulted in my ability to see the pain and insecurities behind people who fat shame and body shame, instead of exhausting my energy with debating and self hate.
I'm 5'6 and weigh 230lbs. Some days it's 235lbs.
Can I run a marathon? Hell no! But neither can my friend who's the same height and weighs 140lbs. Because it's not about the weight. It's about the training and conditioning.
Do I eat crappy cereal? Sometimes....I personally hate carbs and not because of a diet or fad....but because I think bread is gross (don't act like you don't have things you think are gross lol).
I'm a protein and veggie person (except celery....too hard and the taste is ewwwww).
But I also like sugar. Like a lot.
I try to make the best choices when I can but I'm not perfect. Food is fuel.
And sometimes you put fuel in your car for survival - like going to work.
Annnnnnnd.....other times you put fuel in your car to drive 3hrs NW towards Pie Town, NM on 3/14 because eating pie on National Pie Day is fun.
Sometimes I eat a spinach kale salad with pumpkin seeds, cranberries, feta and balsamic vinegarette....
And other times I eat a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream because it's the best (not up for debate). 🤣
And that's OK.
I like hiking. Most recently I've discovered thru-hiking and backpacking. I was scared at first. Living up to societies expectations, I always figured that the people who backpack and hike have to look like most REI and North Face models (calm down...up until 2020, neither company was pro-thick girl accommodating for gear...🥳 and yay.....they're starting to get on board).
I thought since I had extra fat on my body, I couldn't sleep on a 2 inch thick sleep pad, having thighs that touch (and not due to muscle) mustve ment no long hikes, and certainly eating dehydrated foods wouldn't be filling.
Thanks society for fostering a lack of self esteem and drive for exploring nature. *sarcasm*
So many people scream at people who are overweight to "go outside and move!"
Yet when we try to, we get scrutinized, judged, laughed, cyber bullied, and have to jump hurdles designed for horses.
We can't even walk into a REI and buy some freaking base layers....we have to "order online".
I'd like to meet the marketing reps for these companies and have a conversation about why only offering "plus sizes" online only continues to hurt us and isn't at all helpful.
Unlike *most* standard sizes....if I'm a size 20 at Torrid, I'm not at Lane Bryant. I'm a 22 at Target, but trying to order soemthing online is laughable because ummmmmm.....my thighs, waist, bust and hips are one-size-fits-all.
So without the ability to try on clothes at the actual store, I'm going to end up returning half of what I ordered....and feel like a reject.
Why can't outdoor stores also keep "plus sizes" on stock, in store? Don't tell me it's because there's not enough "bigger people" who want to hike.
Maybe we don't hike because we have almost 0 options when it comes to gear. And yes, Osprey, I'm talking to you!
My hips are wide and my booty is round and sound! Let's develope packs that are curvy friendly without costing $50-$80 more than a standard size. And no....it's not costing you that much more to make them, it's because most corporations profit heavily on their "plus size" products.
I can do a 10 mile, 2500ft elevation gain hike. I want to be prepared and safe. I want to have the same options as any other hiker/backpacker would.
My extra fat doesn't define my ability to enjoy and explore the world, but the lack of options and social constructs about fat does.
My wife and I are adventure buddies. We push eachother when on trail. We encourage one another to continue and not turn back. We have gone to Glacier, Yellowstone, Olympic, Carlsbad, White Sands, Rainier, Rocky Mountain's and other National Parks.

Tbh if you're willing to talk more ab moomin I'd love to hear 👀 BUT ALSO THIS IS ME BULLYING YOU INTO SHARING YOUR AMAZING IDEAS
nooooooo I don’t wanna be bullied this is a no place for hate campus noooooo 😭😭😭😭
LDJSSKDJSJAKSKS but seriously thank u exi!! Okay here’s my lil half-baked moomin au
BASICALLY everyone is just a species from the moomin series.... they’re not ninja, there’s no big bad evil, they just truly vibe as all Moominvalley creatures do..
Kai- joxter through and through. Everything fits so perfectly! Dubious feral cat man lays around wherever he pleases... instead of stealing signs and simply breaking the law, he burns the signs and commits petty arson... as a treat. Just 4 fun... he still raised nya tho cause parents in Moominvalley be like “we r out lol 🤪✌️”... maybe he was invisible at one point as a child... hmmmmm...
Nya- a mymble with joxter characteristics (tail.. nose.. funky eyes..) and those cool mymble snail antennae’s! She lives near the sea and perhaps is a bathhouse caretake... finding invisible children and bringing them back to health like she wished someone had done for her brother back when they were young.. hmm.. maybe spends a lot of time with mermaids.. conversing with them, telling grand tales... maybe enlists the mermaids to help bring the newly able-to-be-seen children to safer, warmer locations where they can live out their lives without fear that they will be unseen yet again! :)
Zane- okay since magic is very much a real thing in the moomin universe, I’m thinking that Zane was built as an automaton! And he was enchanted with magic from the lady of the cold! And that ice magic was used to bring him to life! He knows what it is like to be so cold, so he travels around in winter with a warm lantern with him always... offering sanctuary to all who need it.. even grokes! He is cold to the touch but he has a warm heart inside :)
Lloyd- I am thinking.... forgive me... Lloyd is a troll! A soft, warm fuzzy little blond ball with bright green eyes! Maybe he is part Snork so he can turn shades of green depending on his emotions? Perhaps they all come together to raise him... baby baby. He’s a little mischievous boy tho. Gets into trouble, plays pranks, steals candy and sweets. They always have to take turns keeping an eye on him. 🥺
Cole- okay so for Cole I am thinking just a regular troll, no color changing snork genes. BUT he is HUGE with long black fur! Takes after his mom, so he cannot dance like his father. He doesn’t want to be tied down and forced to dance! He wants to go to the far off mountains and live his life among the jagged peaks, climbing and running and doing whatever he pleases.
Jay- idk I’m just rlly feeling a muddler for him... it just fits.. he tinkers a lot a lot and collects a ton of things to make a sorts of contraptions. Maybe he tried to make a flying hang glider type thing like snork always does! He studies the weather and keeps charts of it all. Ed and Edna still adopt him but they are kindly old moomintrolls, not muddlers, so he kinda figured it out much earlier tho lol.
LDJSLDKSJLAKA THIS IS SO STUPID BUT IM PROBABLY GONNA MAKE ART FOR THIS BECAUSE..... I love.... 🥺🥺🥺
#this was so much longer than i anticipated#so sorry i went off on da moomins 😔👊#i just... want 2 hold them..#hope u like! ask me more abt them... if u want...#jk... unless...?#😳👉👈#flskdklaka seriously thank u tho for the ask it was so nice to think these up#ninjago au#ninjago#moomin#moomin au#ask#morris.txt#🥺💞💞
