So I mentioned that I got fired in December but I found a new job in February, yay! Unfortunately, my car payment suffered and I need to bring it fully current by Monday or it will get repossessed.

I’m about $100 short, but what I do have is 20 autographed copies of Goalie Tandem!

You are so sweet!! I actually JUST got a new job—it took two months but I’m loving it so far, and I’m excited about my future with the company! My old boss nearly ruined hockey for me but I do still watch games with my daughter and root for our teams.

I’m working on one last hockey book but after that, I think I might dip my toes in another genre or two. We shall see! 😊

one of my favorite things to do in limited perspective is write sentences about the things someone doesn't do. he doesn't open his eyes. he doesn't reach out. i LOVE sentences like that. if it's describing the narrator, it's a reflection of their desires, something they're holding themselves back from. there's a tension between urge and action. it makes you ask why they wanted or felt compelled to do that, and also why they ultimately didn't. and if it's describing someone else, it tells you about the narrator's expectations. how they perceive that other person or their relationship. what they thought the other person was going to do, or thought the other person should have done, but failed to. negative action sentences are everything.

I, for one, am very excited that you are working on something new. The other day I was panicked b/c I thought I didn’t finish Goalie Tandem, then I remembered that I did. lol

Oh, I'm a mess. But I also knew it was coming and I've been ready for a while. I'm applying everywhere I can think of and I figure, in the meantime, I'll take my suddenly free schedule and put it to good use

It's actually a departure for me, not my "brand" or whatever, but it's what I want to write so I hope you guys will want to read it <3
