nifty is one of those ppl in the wc fandom i’ve always rly admired bc u can tell how much effort and hard work she’s put into her art over the years, to the point where now she’s one of the most well liked and respected artists in the wc fandom. like i remember watching her speedpaints and fourth apprentice episodes back in what, 2012-13ish?? and the amount of hard work and dedication she’s put into her artwork and animation over the past 10 years is genuinely inspiring to me + her design abilities are soooo so good. the talent is just incredible to witness grow over all this time

So…we know that Pluto wanted to go to Paris to see the lights, with him hating being in Blackpool, calling it a shoddy painted-up town and wanting to see the real thing. With Duke, asides from him obviously being French, his coin being a French coin shows us that he spent some of his life in France.

Maybe I did this to myself but it does irk me when people see me knitting and they ask who it’s for and I say it’s for me and the immediate reaction is “you should sell it” yeah… let me spend at least a week’s worth of my free time making an item I like, want, and would wear just to sell it on etsy, making at most a £2 profit on materials and not being compensated for my time whatsoever 👍🏻

Just a reminder that fanfiction is free and something that authors do in their spare time purely for the love of the fandom so poking at them for updates chastising them for taking “too long” or giving a backhanded compliment (if you could even call it that) about how the next update will take even longer is not having the effect that you think it’s having.

There are ways to see if an author is still active as well as ways to motivate someone who could possibly be in a slump or just busy, but those things I mentioned above are not it.

Fandom interactions are already at an all time low in general and especially for the character that I write for since the hype has largely worn off. Something as simple as “I enjoy this story” a heart emoji or “can’t wait for the next chapter” is good enough.

Not “update?” “Too bad this is abandoned” “oh now we will probably have to wait another year for the next chapter.”

You don’t have to create to be part of a fandom, but if all you do is consume, the least you can do is be a little nicer to the people who keep the embers from completely dying out.
