I had not noticed at ALL how low his voice goes here but I am obsessed with the idea that a) Alastor is pitching his voice WAY up when he normally speaks like, more then it even appears b) All of the other laughing we hear from him is ALSO put on, since it’s also in that higher register c) The only time he truly really laughs in the show is when he’s ‘face to face’ with Vox for the first time 😭😭??

I rlly loved your answer to an ask abt Kayleigh being Irish and how that fit into her creating exy, cos I am also Irish and I think abt it all! The! Time!!! There's not enough Irish fans in this fandom I stg, I need more discussion abt the similarities between exy and hurling/camogie. My personal hc is that Kayleigh was a true Feminist Icon ™ who hated the way hurling and camogie are so divided by gender, and who saw exy as a means to change that. I'm also constantly wondering if Nora was aware of the parallels between exy and hurling when she wrote the books, I don't keep up with her blog so I've no idea if she's ever spoken on it but like there's no way that can all be a coincidence right??? But also I've never heard of her mentioning it so idkkk. Anyways this is really long so just to finish it off I love your twitter AUs, your character analyses are always so strong and well thought through, and scrolling through your blog is one of my new favourite hobbies!! I would pay an honestly absurd amount of money to see one of Eddie’s friends that Chris knows & likes (whether that’s Tommy since everybody wants him to be an MC, or a good friend from the army or Texas) come over & hang around them, and for Chris to be excited & greet them like, “Uncle Tommy!” (Or whether their name is.)

Especially if Buck is there & gets worried like, “he’s never called me Uncle, am I not as important to this kid as I thought I was?”

Force them both to really look at the role Buck plays in Christopher’s life vs how the rest of their friends act/treat Chris, bc even if Buddie doesn’t get together, I’d love to see it acknowledged canonically just how fatherly Buck acts with Chris.

(Obviously in my dream world & in the fic I’ll probably write, this will be what kickstarts Buck & Eddie figuring their shit out and getting together but that’s just me)

Ok stupid rant, but I’m sick of looking up a game and only being able to find guides and wikis made by people who obviously hate the game they’re writing information about.

I was looking for guides for the hedge maze portion of Castlevania 64 because I was stuck in it and couldn’t visualize what the layout of maze looks like (turns out, it’s not technically a traditional maze, aka one route to the exit, which helps a lot) and the only guide I can find is one on gamefaqs or something where the person cannot contain themselves from constantly interjecting to say how much they don’t like Malus cause “ugh overdramatic cutscene, his parents are dead who cares, he looks like a girl” or how they hate the game cause it’s too hard and annoying and “oh boy as if this game couldn’t get worse”.

And like dude! Sincerely! Shut up! I don’t care! I just want to know what I’m supposed to do! You are allowed to dislike the game and express your opinions, just please keep those to a little ending opinion section or a review!!! Stop breaking up actual instructions I can’t keep track of what you’re telling me to do!!!!!!!!!!!

And I saw something similar happen on a different smaller wiki-ish sort of website (it might have been the Castlevania Dungeon, I’m not sure. Definitely not Fandom tho.) on the Castlevania: The Adventure page when I was looking for some facts. Again, the person writing was constantly being all “not that this game is important anyway” and like! I literally don’t care if you don’t like the game that’s not what I’m here for!!! Heck the website even had some misinformation on the page too saying that Christopher was Simon’s grandson in that “or whatever, it doesn’t matter” kind of tone! Like!!!!! Shut up!!!!!!!!!!!! I am here for factual information! Not a review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

solidus’ line has always really confused me because:

mgs2 takes place on april 29th-30th 2009, making it 220 years after george washington became president, not 200.

so why is this line incorrect in such a pivotal moment in the game? this couldn’t have been an oversight by the devs because if you ask any caring american when george washington took office they’d be able to tell you. it just really confuses me.

is it meant to be some patriot jab where what! george washington actually took office in 1809?! 10 years after he died!? and the patriots kept this a massive secret?!!!! if anyone knows why the fuck kojumbo left such a grave error in the game please say so because i am going to go nuclear if i don’t find out soon
