Since you have the best takes ever: why do you like Jimmy and Tango as characters?

Oh gosh uh, I never really thought about that within their characters rather than why they’re my favorite creators.

They’re two of my favorite creators because of their silly energy and how well they bounce off of other people. I enjoy solo content a lot, but they make group content just as amazing and not overstimulating (Jimmy has done this a few times on stream where if the people he’s playing with get really loud in voice chat he’ll back off). I just really love the silly dorkiness they both bring to the table, even as much as I joke that I hate when Jimmy talks brainrot, it’s endearing. They also have some of the best and welcoming experiences with the community. Jimmy is really active with the fandom in twitter, and he always has a segment at the start of stream where he says hello to chat and reads names out. Jimmy also dedicated a portion of stream to scrolling through the reddit and reading what people have to say, compliment their art, and look at memes. Likewise, Tango is always saying hello and goodbye to people in chat when they come and go and It really feels like they actually recognize names in the community. A lot of streamers don’t read chat like that if really at all / the real big streamers tend to only read donations or recognize donators.

I obviously really like their characters because I am so infatuated with the creators themselves, but I think the main reason their characters are also my two favorites is because of their character development throughout the series.

Jimmy is bullied by almost the entire server, some of his own teammates don’t take him seriously, and they’ll go behind his back. He has a streak of dying first, but despite it he has really improved and grown. It’s not just about his placement or how many kills he has but his interactions with others. He’s really started putting his foot down and trying not to let himself be used as a verbal and physical punching bag. He’s always been a survivor and someone who does better on the defensive rather than offensive, and I’m glad we got to see him go crazy with some kills this season.

Tango is someone who sticks with what he knows. He’s never known stability, but the one thing that is constant is who he teams up with- even if it’s not in his best interest. He was playing both all sides in 3rd life, betrayed by his team in last life, and then in double life he had found someone who’s kind of like him that he could trust and actually hold on to. Then in limited life he was ready to sacrifice himself to make sure his time went to his team. He decided that, and I really think “For TIES!” was just the beginning of him putting his foot down. I think he learned to let go, not forgive or forget. He actually felt disappointed this season when he saw Bdubs was chasing him down trying to kill him. He knew from the very start that their team wasn’t a “real team”, and that it would only lead to a betrayal or “kill me if Bdubs needs it later.” He didn’t really accept what their team was, but he came to terms with what it entailed and it wasn’t even Bdubs who was going after him but Grian’s mimicking ability. I’m never getting over that moment…

There’s probably more moments and other things I could mention about their character developments, but I haven’t rewatched any of the series recently except for Double Life, so it’s been a while, and I have goldfish brain…

hi um. i’d like to ask you for some advice, since it seems like a lot of people come to you when they need it. i’m a trans girl who’s been taking estrogen for 2.5 years but. i’m just so disappointed and unhappy with what hrt has done for me. i feel like i’ve been completely taken over by doomerism from me constantly comparing myself to other transfems both online and irl, and from spending too much time on trans reddit (i’m sending you this ask instead of writing another vent post on r/mtf). through this i’ve convinced myself that i will never be happy with my body, or that i’ll never have real boobs or a feminine body at all. i really really don’t want to give up hope, but it just seems so far out of reach, and i’m stuck down here in this inky abyss. what do you do in dark times when you need to regain hope, but you can’t do it yourself?

first of all, i wanted to say i'm sorry that you're feeling this way. medical transition is a very finicky thing. there is no way to predict what will happen and when, so it's okay to feel just. completely bummed the hell out when you're not seeing the changes you hoped for yet. i definitely see how it can be crushing, especially when you know your body needs to look a different way for you to be happy. it's important to consider people look a lot different irl than they do in photos and videos. camera lenses can only capture so much. pictures and videos can be edited. it's hard to compare yourself to something like that

& i did want to say that you're definitely not alone! there are a lot of girls in your exact situation. with everyone responding to HRT differently, you'll see girls who get changes right away, and girls where it takes a long time. changes with HRT generally happen very slowly, way slower than the eye can perceive, so it's okay if you feel like nothing is happening. your body just may need more time to adjust

have you ever increased your dose? if not, that is totally an option! you may also want to look into progesterone if you find that you're not happy with your breast growth after some time. it's best to look into progesterone first to make sure it's right for you, as it will affect more than just breast growth, but i wanted to throw it out there as an option! if you're not on an androgen blocker, this could also potentially help you

for both estrogen and testosterone HRT, it can take a minimum of 5 years for people to begin seeing the effects they were desiring. 5 years, minimum! that's a very long time, comparatively, you are very early on in your journey. the effects you want to see may just come along further on down the road. i know it's easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. it's good to remind yourself that they are not you, they do not share your genetics. they look like them. you look like you. it's okay that you don't look like those people- they're not you.

it doesn't make you any less of a woman just because you haven't seen these changes yet. there are plenty of women who look just like you, cis, intersex, trans, genderqueer, and otherwise. there are many cis and intersex women who don't "pass", and it doesn't make them any less of a woman: the same applies to you, and every trans girl. dysphoria can be a real pain in the ass and make things harder than it needs to be. it's okay to not be content with where you're at now. it's okay to be frustrated that you're not seeing the changes you want to right now. many, many trans people feel just the same way you do.

you may feel awkward and uncomfortable right now because you're literally in a transitional phase. think about when teenagers go through puberty, about how awkward they look and feel. cracking voices, bodies that are "in the middle" and not fully developed. that's what you're going through at the moment, and its okay. it just takes time for things to fully settle in.

what i would suggest is trying to find ways to do some self care that affirm your gender that don't involve your appearance. validating yourself in other ways is extremely important. building yourself up takes time. if you feel insecure about how you look, it's okay. you can start building your confidence in your identity and gender in other areas of yourself, first, then move on to your appearance. try to spend time with people who respect you for who you are, no matter how you look. try to surround yourself with people and things that affirm you

Some thoughts on Annabeth’s Character Arc

Before I begin, just want to say sorry about not being online much. I’m in a very busy period of my life and haven’t had the mental capacity to address all the responses I’ve gotten on posts and such. Will do that in the future.

That being said, I still enjoy writing, so today, I’m going to write a post sharing my thoughts on Annabeth’s character arc in the original PJO series.

For context, someone posted on Reddit that TTC was their favourite book in the original series because of Annabeth’s absence. The comment resulted in a discussion about why people didn’t like Annabeth’s character. I shared the extremely unpopular opinion that Annabeth’s character peaked in Sea of Monsters for me, and I didn’t really love what was done with her character from TTC onwards. Here’s why:

In general:

• ⁠I feel like her perspective towards Luke lacked a lot of nuance. I’m fine with her not thinking he’s completely evil, but it would have been nice to see her also consider all the harmful things Luke had done before the incident with Silena in TLO. It just felt like her POV was sweeping a lot of those things under the rug even though I know that wasn’t necessarily the intent.

• ⁠The Perachel thing would have been fine if there was an on-page apology. But the fact that there is none and it seemingly took Rachel becoming the Oracle and not being allowed to date Percy for Annabeth to finally stop hating her seems like a missed opportunity to have Annabeth address her pride and the way she acts towards others.

• ⁠On that same note, I have mixed feelings about Annabeth’s overall character arc in PJO. While I feel like her relationships with other characters in the story changed over time, I don’t always feel like she truly changed as a person. I mean, she ended up being right about Luke in the end, so it’s not like she had any major motivation to shift her perspective of the world, change her way of thinking, or work on her personality flaws. Given that her fatal flaw is hubris, I would have loved to see a character arc where her pride gets her in deep trouble and she has to confront it head-on by actively learning humility in different ways. She did that well in the first two books, which is why she peaked for me as a character in SoM, but it feels like TTC lost the rhythm and never picked it back up. I would have liked to see her acknowledge being wrong about the way she treated Rachel, and walking away from the war with a different perspective on Luke other than just “I was right all along”. It would have also been nice to see more people actually call Annabeth out on her BS. Someone other than Percy should have said something to her about her behavior. I feel like Chiron could have done it in a “loving dad who wants the best for you” kind of way. Thalia could have also done it.

Or maybe Annabeth gets a visit from Athena after BoTL, where they talk about the quest, the battle, and the stuff on Daedalus’ laptop, but Athena also expresses disappointment in Annabeth for acting petty and not recognizing Rachel as a useful addition to the quest. Maybe Athena reiterates that she doesn’t approve of Percabeth’s friendship, especially because it seems like Annabeth is letting her feelings cloud her judgement. Annabeth’s arc could have been about learning what true wisdom is. Wisdom and knowledge aren’t the same thing, and wisdom is so much more than just knowing facts and battle plans. Wisdom is about maturity, exercising well-informed judgement, and recognizing the truth about things, including yourself. Humility is a huge aspect of gaining wisdom and I think it could have been a great arc for Annabeth, given her fatal flaw. Her overall arc in HoO could have been a continuation of this, especially with what happens in BoO with Piper in that temple.

• ⁠I don’t really like the way her arc with her dad was resolved. The way the story is written in TTC, it seems to imply that Annabeth was to blame for assuming the worst of her dad/stepmom (which I know was probably not the intent, but it has that vibe). I think there was a better way to acknowledge that Annabeth’s parents do in fact care about her, but didn’t do the best job of showing it when she really needed it and made her feel like she needed to run away.

• ⁠There are tiny things that Rick adds into the way he writes Annabeth that make Annabeth seem kind of inconsiderate, like all the little moments of aggression , the fact that she keeps teasing Percy about Rachel even after everyone else has moved on, or in Crown of Ptolemy where Percy said that he “has a healthy fear of Annabeth because she’s kicked his butt plenty of times” and doesn’t feel like he’s allowed to disagree with her. I know it’s mostly supposed to be amusing, but it’s a little uncomfortable to read at times. It sucks because Annabeth is obviously supposed to be a kind person and in many ways, she is, but these moments don’t always make her look nice.

Whew. Sorry that this was long.

I chalk much of my complaints with Annabeth up to not having much of her POV in the original series. Then again, even if Rick decides to delve deeper into Annabeth’s story in the Disney series, I feel like he’s just generally not that great at writing female characters, so I don’t know how much he’ll be able to improve this. In addition, it feels like Rick has generally been losing sight of his characters and they feel less and less like themselves with every addition to his franchise. I’m genuinely nervous for Chalice of the Gods because I don’t know what he’s going to do with Annabeth’s character and I don’t know how much I trust him, lol.

Okay, so ‘Spider-Man Reign Two’ just featured a pink-hair-highlighted non-powered Gwen Stacy as Miles Morales’ dead ex-wife, with their adoptive daughter Kat Stacy as the future Black Cat.

It has made it into one (alternate continuity) comic now, where before it was just those three animated media and the occasional variant cover.

I was already questioning why a Reign 2 existed when it's sole contribution to comicbook history is memes about Peter's radioactive semen, but now I'm even more disappointed.

You know she’d let herself ‘die’ in an AU to further the story, especially when a Future Miles was involved.

A) No she wouldn't. Gwenpool absolutely would not let herself die to tell a story, especially not Reign 2. We have literally seen her fight the natural progression of a story to save herself or prevent herself becoming something she didn't want to be.

B) It's clearly Gwen Stacy. The black headband is Stacy-exclusive, as is the Turquoise Converse.

Okay, apparently ‘Fortnite’ got the pink hair association back to Gwen for a a lot of people, since I am seeing people on Threads, Twitter, and Reddit be surprised about Gwen Poole being this Miles’ dead ex-wife.

I don’t hate the logic they’re using actually — it’d make for a fun fanfic, and Reign-era Dark Gwen would slap.

Like I said, it's clearly Stacy. The pink highlights are so washed out as to be nearly unnoticeable, anyway.

And I would rather any version of Spider-Man Reign stay away from Gwenpool.

i’m also thinking of creating a masterdoc of all the stores anyone can think of and specific tips. the old ones are super dead and i think it would be helpful seeing the influx of newbies lately!

RESEARCH THE STORES YOU L1FT AT.

honestly if you’re not going to read all of this just read this. google, reddit (not as much quora) are your best friends. look up what certain PA announcements mean. look up what LP wears at that store. look at what people are saying on subreddits about shopl1fting and how LP works to prevent it. so many store associates will post and comment on reddit about their experiences with shopl1fters. learn from them and use the information they give. some locations might use fake cameras. some might be low staffed. one might be trying out some new loss prevention tech. do your research and stay up to date!!!

2. don’t be searching for cameras in a super obvious way/act normal

no normal shopper is constantly looking at the ceiling or jumping whenever anyone walks by, if you need to look for cameras something i like to do is go to the nail polish section grab any polish shake it up and hold it up to the light as if you want to see the color, then look around for cameras. i’ve seen lots of normal shoppers do this so it isn’t suspicious. when store associates ask you if you need help sometimes it doesn’t hurt to say you’re looking for xyz and let them help you, or name a product you know they don’t have in stock/available. this way you can act all disappointed and say you’ll just browse for a bit instead!

honestly the biggest tip is just know yourself and be aware of your surroundings. don’t go crazy and don’t brag about it to your friends. anyways have fun and stay safe!!!!

Life is strange but I like it.

A new game of Life is Strange franchise was a big surprise. I love first game so much (played it 3 times and never could change my final choice). This game is definitely different and I’ll try to write about its pros and cons.

Let’s start with something positive. The first things you notice (since first trailers I’m sure) are graphics and facial animations. Characters look like real people; you can see when they are puzzled or surprised, and it’s amazing! Voice actors and actresses did a great job; you feel this chemistry between characters when listen to them (Max and Vinh are just brilliant).

The list of negative things will be definitely longer and I’m upset writing that.

The greatest problem is the plot. Probably I shouldn’t have bought an early access because after finishing Chapter 2 I had some high expectations and also read some stupid spoilers on reddit (which I definitely wasn’t looking for). So my high expectations and some cool ideas which appeared in my head played a cruel joke on me. Probably Chapters 3 and 4 were kind of good but Chapter 5… and ending was so disappointing. I had a feeling like a scriptwriter just gave up right in the middle of the story, and even didn’t try to make it a bit complicated. Come on, gamers aren’t stupid, we like good stories, cool twists and heartbreaking endings. But it’s not about LiS:DE.

The second problem – characters. Some of them are just good or bad, there is nothing in the middle. Amanda is cute, hard-working and has a big family. That’s all I can tell about her. You even can’t understand why Max like her. She is just an ordinary girl, a typical green flag for Max and it’s cool to have relationship with some good person in real life but such characters in games are just super boring.

That’s why I like Vinh (yeah I like him), because he seems real, he did something stupid in the past and he isn’t proud about it, and it makes him real.

Tbh I don’t know what to say about Safi without spoilers, so maybe it’s better to skip this part.

The rest of characters are like a background for the main story, not sure if you remember any of them in a week or so.

And the third part – length of the story. Yeah, when you play it for the first time you are too curious and just want to move further and further. But even when you start playing the second time and you look for all photos and other collectables, chapters are still so short.

I wish we all got some cool DLC which isn’t about cat or extra clothes. But dreams, sweet dream. Deck 9, plz, can you guys make something really funny for fans, maybe a date for Max (she deserves it).

And the last problem – there is no Chloe. She was annoying in the first game but she is a person Max needs and in my game Max sacrificed Arcadia Bay for her. I just can’t believe Chloe could leave her so easily. Btw Max’s trauma after these events is shown really well, and it helps to see how deep her character is. Sad that’s other characters aren’t so well-written.  

In conclusion I still want to recommend this game. No matter if you are the fan or not, it worth playing and it won’t take lots of time to finish it. Max is still Max even being 28 she can say some cringy stuff and that’s why I like her.

Why was this one of the worst books I have ever read? It's definitely the worst series finale. I’m too disappointed to even be mad. I’m being so generous with the rating.

I think this whole series is a perfect example of when an author has one good character that they really like, but doesn’t know what to do with them.

I’ve said in other reviews how much Jacks has stood out as a character in Garber’s books all the way back to Legendary. He’s an interesting character and was consistently more developed than any of the other characters. That isn’t enough to carry a whole three book series, though.

I read all the spoilers and discussions on this book before I finished it because it was just dragging on and we were given more questions than answers. I skimmed a lot of this and pretty much only read the dialogue because half of this book was just a recap of the previous two books. I can see why that might not be that jarring if you’d been waiting a year for this to come out, but I’ve been reading this series back to back. Someone on Reddit mentioned that all the recaps might have been to get the word count up and I think that’s very accurate, especially considering how short this was overall.

Apparently Garber turned off her insta comments at some point because of all the criticism? It would have been a DNF if I wasn’t still hoping for a glimpse of the Jacks we knew in Caraval. I also thought maybe it would be worth it when they got together but that was disappointing, too. We got like five pages.

I knew there was no hope when in the last quarter of the book, she introduced the storyline of Jacks giving up his heart. That’s not a storyline you should throw in at the end of a book. It was so incredibly rushed and then Aurora turns up saying Jacks beat her up and stole his heart back. That should have been a much bigger plotline. As I have said about a lot of recent books, how did this make it past an editor??? What’s going on in the publishing industry right now?

And where is Luc? Marisol?? Was there not more to Evangeline’s parents’ death? Is Castor going to keep going on killing sprees? Is Jacks now mortal since he’s in love? Where has Aurora gone off to? Why were the apples different colours? So many unanswered questions. This was all most likely set up for a spin-off series, but I will no longer be investing my time in an author who was happy to publish such a lazy book after knowing how big of a fanbase she had.

I really don’t get the point of the Valors. If this series was just set up for the Valors to get their own series in the future, it barely did a good job at that. I also feel like Apollo kept being forced into the series. It’s not like this is a TV show where the actor for Jacks had other commitments and they had to fill up screen time with Apollo. There was fully no need for him to have such a big part in this book. I can't imagine many people who read the first two books thinking 'I would really love the third book to focus on Appollo and his POV' so why was that even a thing? Evangeline was so unnaturally attached to him just to keep him a part of the plot. It got very tiring. He has barely any depth. Why was he in so much of this book? The author knows we’re mostly all reading this series for Evangeline and Jacks so why would she make the final book focus so much on Apollo and barely on any parts with Jacks? It was very lazy overall. Maybe because she knew that since the anticipation was so high for this final book, it would sell regardless? I guess you can go out with a bang or just go out with bank.

And to add to that, if it just wasn’t the right time for her to write it, then maybe don’t write it until you’re ready. She had this great legacy with her previous books and then we get this. Does anyone remember Michelle Hodkin, the author of the Mara Dyer books? She never released the last book of the sequel series and just disappeared off the internet. I don’t know if that was perhaps a better option than writing a lazy book like this.

So....the KFP4 plot huh? WHEW! I really needed DAYS to process all this & uh...I think I’m finally ready to talk about it?

Also before I start saying anything please note that I may share few more EXTRA details. Where did I get the details? Welllll? I may have cheated & decided to spoil myself a bit to get more stuff out. Although I promise I’m not gonna share any images & go deep to spoil movie. To be honest I myself only managed to get like only 5% extra details. Also reason I had to spoil myself to dig this deep by talking with the person who got this stuff personally from CinemaCon is that I’ve seen a lot posts saying most of you all have GIVEN UP on the franchise after the plot news was out. Granted some of the plot is not making sense. I myself had to read like 100x to process all in. But giving up on the franchise? I still can’t do that. KFP has a special place in my heart. I’m not saying I’m here to rescue by giving you guys hope. Instead I’d highly suggest you all to keep the expectations low....LIKE REAL LOW! The higher we’re setting the bar the more disappointing results we’re gonna get. Some things so far I found does give us a little hope of light & some are well....meh?

So first let’s just start with the villain herself. The Chameleon. Turns Kate Mckinnon is voicing the villain & her design so far is actually not bad? So far it actually looks good. Only way I could describe her looks is that she’s giving me a bit Shen mixed with bit of Viper vibes. Elegance is the only word I can describe her. Since its only a storyboard image sadly. Its not even a concept art image. 

As for her abilities/powers! Ooooh I hate Dreamworks here for baiting us saying this Chameleon can ‘summon’ the old villains. I know they’re doing this for keeping this a surprise or something idk but whatever the CinemaCon fans saw are completely different from the whole summoning idea. Apparently turns out she IS THE ONE HERSELF who can turn into TAI LUNG, SHEN & KAI. SHE’S A SHAPESHIFTER! Which is no surprise since she is a Chameleon & they’re known for changing colors. So I really don’t see the point why Dreamworks made movie news blogs & reports saying & using the word “SUMMON” which is completely different from “Shapeshifting”? Another thing this is gonna disappoint a lot of Tia Lung, Shen & Kai fans because i’ve seen a lot over excited fans who are waiting for a rematch Especially a Po vs Tai Lung. I’m so sorry guys but these guys are not coming back. They originals are dead DEAD!

She’s also gonna shift into one of Po’s biggest challenger yet too. I’m not mentioning this one this is worth saving it for the movie or the trailer. I hope they save this surprise of the MOVIE ONLY

So far for me the villain actually does sound & look promising. Whoever came up with Chameleon shapeshifting idea is actually pretty darn smart. My only concern is that she doesn’t become one of jokester type villains since its Kate Mckinnon who’s voicing. So yeah...that’s the villain info

Now for the fox character Chen?Zhen?Zhan?Chan? LMAO y’all have no idea how many different spellings I had to come across to get this character info! The funny part is people are even changing the fox’s gender in some articles which is really weird because its Awkwafina who is gonna voice her. So far we only know that she’s gonna be shown as a thief first? And later as Po’s student? Her design? No idea. For now. 

Judging by Awkwafina’s past animated characters like Sisu & Ms Tarantula I’m assuming the character might be some playful, sneaky, childish, cunning type of a fox character since the fox is gonna be introduced first as thief? idk this is just my thoughts? Bonus if she turns out to be some annoying teenager or young adult who would try to get on Po’s nerves during their adventure.Kinda to give Po taste of his own medicine & realize how difficult it is for Shifu & Tigress who has to deal with Po’s shenanigans. 

Also I won’t be surprised if the Fox too has some very similar backstory like Po or Tigress. I’m really getting a feeling the story is gonna be about misunderstood fox who most likely could be either an orphan or abandon by family/villagers or something

Okay so now comes the plot. We all know that Po is gonna get promoted to higher master position & he has to find new Dragon Warrior...yaddy-yaddy-yadda!  Apparently their gonna show Po finding Chen/Zhen/Zhan/Chan (SOMEONE PLEASE CONFIRM WHAT’S HER REAL SPELLING!) in the museum where Po is....patrolling? (i’ll be honest this info is a little confusing because I really don’t see why Po of all people is patrolling at the museum especially since now he’s in a bigger position....like why?) So after he finds her & catches her & stuff & she tells about Chameleon & later go on this adventure (Oop! Dragon Knight plot?) to city where the Chameleon resides & here comes the typical Mike Mitchell writing. Take a wild guess what the city is gonna filled with? We had got Wolves for the Gongmen City right? Now what could be MORE DANGEROUS THAN WOLVES? Hmmmmm? Well.....

LADIES & GENTLEMEN! WE’RE GONNA GET CUTE EVIL BUNNIES! WHEW....LET. THAT. SINK. IN 

This really reminds me of one episode in LoA where Po had to deal with his past bully which was also a BUNNY! Funny part of that episode was that even Tigress had hard time believing Po couldn’t fight his bully bunny enemy & constantly reminded Po how tiny the bunny is which pissed & offended Mantis off. Anyways back to the main topic.

Now I’m not gonna sugar coat this one. The plot STILL very much does sound very off & very animated series level of writing. Also the person has confirmed this movie is gonna have more of comedy BUT (here’s the hopeful part or at least I’m hoping) the thing is all this info is just like 10 or 20% of the plot. There could be chances that we could still get some emotional stuff since Dreamworks is known for hiding & saving the emotional stuff strictly only for the movie. Remember Puss In Boots? The trailer gives us more of action & the idea of the plot meanwhile the scenes like Puss feeling guilty about not attending his own wedding, the anxiety scene, Goldie’s wish scene & Perrito’s back story all this was saved for the movie. So yeah I am still keeping 5% hope we do get some heavy stuff especially if this movie really does turn out to be the FINAL CHAPTER. Who knows that those storyboards were only the main stuff just to give idea & furious five too MIGHT be there during the adventure but their all split up or something? Idk man I’m just saying.

Where is Shifu? Furious Five? Po’s dads? The Other Pandas? OKAY....uh...so far uh....sadly I’ve no freaking idea where the hell are Po’s dads or the pandas? I’m just gonna assume all the pandas have settled down in Valley of Peace & living regular lives. Po’s dads I’m assuming running the restaurant? There’s sadly no info on this one. Although I really wished his dads would’ve played important role in this one since its gonna be lot difficult for Po to take in his new position & to pass his Dragon Warrior title. 

As for Shifu & the Five. We are gonna get them but we’re told they’re NOT gonna be part of the adventure or what so far the storyboards was shown at Cinema Con din’t have much of them. I am still like 3% hopeful for this one since the guy mentioned these were only the boards which were shown there could be chances the changes can be made. But if the movie really is only focusing on Po, the fox & the Chameleon than I’m assuming we might get very few cut scenes of Furious Five & Shifu. Back & forth scenes like they did in KFP3. Either that or the Furious Five are having some other separate mission & hence that’s why Po decides to go solo with the fox. 

THIS IS WHY!!! THIS IS WHY WE NEED A WHOLE SEPARATE FURIOUS FIVE SPIN OFF MOVIE

Now for the big question; Why isn’t Po giving his Dragon Warrior title to any from the Furious Five? Especially to Tigress?! OH BOY! When I came across the articles saying Po is gonna have to find new Dragon Warrior replacement my mind too immediately went on Tigress! HECK! EVEN MY MOM SAID THIS! Also I had the whole KFP1 movie flashed in front of my eyes Especially the scene of Tai Lung screaming at Shifu telling him about how he filled Tai Lung's head with Dragon Warrior dreams & trained him hard till his bones cracked & Shifu & The Furious Five being sour & bitter towards Po in beginning...I understand now...I FREAKING UNDERSTAND THE PAIN THEY WERE GOING THROUGH TO PROCESS THE FACT THAT THEY ALL TRAINED THE HELL OUT OF THEMSELVES FOR THIS DAMN TITLE EVEN GOING TO EXTEND THE GET THEIR BONES CRACKED & END UP GETTING NOTHING & instead some random noodle folk panda fell from the sky with no whatsoever kung fu skills gets the title...YUP I UNDERSTAND THE RAGE NOW. AND THIS SHIT IS HAPPENING ALL OVER AGAIN I SWEAR TO GOD THIS DRAGON WARRIOR TITLE IS SUCH A FREAKING CURSE!! GODDAMN OOGWAY!!

BUT...BUT...Here's the thing what we also see is that Five...ESPECIALLY TIGRESS never had that desperate goal for Dragon Warrior title in the first place. We all know at this point well aware that Tigress only wanted to get the Dragon Warrior title is because she wanted to make Shifu proud but after seeing Shifu finally being more compassionate and the older playful self again thanks to Po. Tigress doesn't hold that grudge or jealousy anymore towards Po. Which same goes for the five since they were already warming up towards Po before Shifu & Tigress.  

I know most of us & myself deep down all wanted Tigress to get the title since she has gone through hell the most right from her Bao Gu days but Tigress has made it very much clear that she's moved on from the whole wanting Dragon Warrior title and she's become her own warrior

Now in Tai Lung's case. Even though Tai Lung says he did all that training to make Shifu proud but it was clear that Tai Lung was already blinded & thirsty for the Dragon Warrior power the most (Thanks to Shifu). Heck! Shifu himself admits this that his pride blinded him so badly he turned Tai Lung into a monster.

So yeah I know right now we're all disappointed that Po isn't giving his title to any of the furious five but to some random fox (who is a thief...wow..nice choice Po) but let's not forget that's how even Po's story started & we'll just have to wait & watch to see Po taking Shifu's role as master & trains this fox character. 

Also I’ll make a separate post on how Chen?Zhen?Zhan?Chan? (I SERIOUSLY STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HER REAL SPELLING IS) on how she could earn the Dragon Warrior title. That’s not gonna be a spoiler post that is just gonna be an analyzing post or how I can see it happening

And lastly can we trust Mike Mitchell?...OOOOOH BOY! Judging by his past projects I would say it’s a little concerning but lets not forget even Joel Crawford had made some not so very successful projects in the past as well & years later Puss In Boots 2 became one of his best & successful projects yet. I’m not so concern of Mike my main concern is what exactly happen to Jennifer Yuh Nelson for not being part of this so sudden? I remember in interview she had mentioned if she really decided to make all 6 chapters like Jeffrey Katzenberg suggested she really wanted to make a complete beautiful necklace franchise for Po’s journey! Heck to be honest the third movie itself WAS ENOUGH AS A PERFECT END TO THE CHAPTER! It really did give us a perfect trilogy I honestly don’t know why or what made them to give us fourth. This whole retiring thing & passing on torch has been a very common plot trend in most animated/anime/comic medias lately. Anyways. Too late now. Lets see how this chapter turns out.

So....uh..yeah I guess that's it? I tried my best to keep this post with some positive stuff just to you know...lighten up? The thing is we can't say much anything right now because the movie is still in beginning/mid (storyboarding) stage. Its still too early. Changes still can happen hence we cant say much yet. Jack himself mentions that its too early for the trailer. So yeah its very common at times last moments some ideas could have changes.

Only word of advice to the pandom I'm gonna give is be a little more patient. I myself needed DAYS to process & break it down. If we have waited this long we just going to have to wait a little longer. My guess on getting the first teaser we could most likely get it in... August or September (this year)? I'm calculating according to how we got Puss In Boots trailer. The trailer was released in June & the movie was released in December.

We just gonna have to play the waiting game a little long & PRAY!! LOTS & LOTS OF PRAYERS (& INNER PEACE) THIS MOVIE DOESN'T RUIN THE FRANCHISE!! That is all for now. Feel free to share your thoughts or can private DM me!

JoJos playing minecraft headcanons (I hope you enjoy it!!)

Jonathan- tried playing with a keyboard but his fingers are too big so he uses a controller. Refuses to kill the iron golems in villages and loves trading with villagers, even though he wishes they had dialogue. Killed a pig because he was on the verge of starvation and then decided to stock up on bread and potatoes right after because he felt so bad. Cannot figure out redstone for the life of him; can only work a lever and button. He prefers sleeping through the night because he doesn't want to deal with the zombies but can somehow deal with the skeletons and creepers. Jonathan likes to play on easy mode to explore and find pottery sherds to make at least a few pots to decorate his house. Has yet to get into the nether or enter the end. Has not started a raid and does not plan on ever doing so. 

Joseph- plays with the keyboard and has almost broken it multiple times due to how hard he accidentally presses on the keys. Can only do simple redstone and even then, he somehow messes it up to the point it works out in the end (he doesn’t know how he did it but pretends he knew what he was doing like always) Likes trading with the villagers and has made a mini villager trading hall so he doesn’t have to run to catch any villagers or worry about them dying in a raid. Yes, he had died a few times because he was not prepared for them. Would like to try mods but he can’t figure out how to install them properly. Once he went into a server and figured out how to get a multiple diamond glitch but got banned once the other players found out how he had so many diamonds without ever being in a cave. He’s still mad about it. Once died in a wooden mansion and got so mad he didn’t place down a bed in it to save his progress, he quit and almost deleted the game.

Jotaro- didn’t care about the game and only knew the basics until he heard about the aquatic update. Looked up everything that would be included in the update and tried to play it on the keyboard so he could figure out how the game works. Prefers the controller over the keyboard. Knows how to do some redstone but barely makes anything using it. He had accidentally made a fishing pole while crafting; immediately went to find the nearest ocean or river to use it. Gets disappointed when the fish he pulls out are dead and looks up how to keep them alive. Uses the last few iron ingots he had to make a bucket and capture a fish. Makes a temporary pond until he makes a huge aquarium that connects to the ocean so the fish are all free to swim along with the other sea creatures. Has named at least one of each sea creature with the name tags. Once played for almost 6 hours straight due to being super focused on building something and didn’t realize it until he looked over at the clock. 

Josuke- uses the controller instead of the keyboard. Only plays on multiplayer or different servers but has a few testing worlds so he won’t mess up as much (like his father, he does mess up quite a lot, even after perfecting whatever he’s working on in his testing worlds, but it always works out in the end) he loathes the skeletons to the point where he was searching for a mod on reddit and other sites at 2am to get rid of the skeletons in the game. Knows alot about redstone and has many redstone builds in his testing worlds. Has killed almost every turtle he sees in the game by pure accident and feels guilty everytime, even with his fear of them. He is the player to go afk and have dinner while he leaves one of his farms to fill up his chests. He almost died to a skeleton doing this but managed to save himself; that was the night he went hunting for a mod to get rid of the skeletons. Has named his pet cat and dog after his best friends; has also named every spider after another person (I’m sure we all know who we’re talking about) He has a custom skin and surprisingly, people like his skin. Starts raids so he can get totems, but has not realized he can turn it into a farm to make it easier; no one has told him yet.

Giorno- likes using a controller but can play on the keyboard as well. Made a huge animal farm for every animal he could get. Loves using the bonemeal to gather more flowers and make it look nice around his house. Can do some complex redstone but likes keeping it simple. He owns a server and had banned a player for using a multi diamond glitch; he probably would have allowed them to keep using it in private as long as he got a few out of it, but he and a few others had caught him using it when they went to surprise him with a bunch of food when they heard they didn’t have much food. Died a few times because he forgets he’s not in creative mode. Makes a ton of cookies and shares them with everyone once a week because he always makes too much. Has no weapon preference. Can never find a village without someone’s help. 

Jolyne- started playing once she found out about the nether and the end. Prefers the end because it’s easy for her to kill the ender dragon. Loves getting gold for her golden apples since she has amazing luck when it comes to finding resources. Once made a nether portal before getting iron armor and hasn’t been able to do it since. Really good at using the bow. Loves playing multiplayer with her friends and being stupid late at night until early morning. Watches playthroughs of the game during dinner at home (she’s so me haha) and uses any tips from said playthrough into her own worlds. The one to go to if it involves the ocean monuments; she has a strategy that she uses almost every time she needs to enter one. Really good at complex redstone and uses it for her hidden base in a server she has with her friends. Loves making the cookies and cakes since she always liked how they look; sometimes has to go grab a snack to feel immersed within the game.

very disappointed, but as we know matty is usually quite active on twitter/reddit (and at certain times tumblr) so i hope he realizes this is more then a silly little incident and two literal predators hurting your unsuspecting underage female fans. reddit has two (?) post up about it that are getting a lot of traction, with some level headed people recommending what could be done so hopefully the more people that know the closer we will get to something happening.

hi love, i’m kind of putting myself on blast here, i never ask questions publicly but since you have kept the anon thing off i was holding off from asking you this for the longest time. Maybe my previous anonymous asks (over time) seemed like venting or you get a lot of asks, i’m going to state my problem first. My preferred method is awake method, i like to meditate or clear my thoughts and affirm w the theta waves you shared or slade’s shifting brew. I get symptoms, crazy symptoms and i persist for over an hour but don’t tap in. It feels like only the not hearing part is missing (if i were to speak about symptoms) i have seen people talk about this issue on reddit as well.

Another method i like: I love the way you tapped in! I get into SP with the video you shared and when i affirm and persist i am still stuck at the symptoms part. I don’t understand what’s not letting me tap in and i think it’s unfair to some point to be asking you, a stranger, for advice when you know nothing about me. I see that i put you on the spot and i’m sorry but since you have spent a lot of your time researching on the void, i think i’d really appreciate your advice.

I follow your blog so i actually do all the things you mention. I let LOA guide me through things. I am caught up with neville and edward. I have done it all. I know i’m not doing anything wrong. Deadlines have arrived and passed by. Loa kept me sane through it all, saved me time and again. I have manifested a lot of things. I put all my faith in the law, i know it’s so real. But i have been here for over two years. I know that if there’s a wish, there’s a will and when there’s a will, there’s a way. This is my sole reason for not giving up on the void. I am not going to stop until i tap in. But at the same time, it’s tiring cause i see days turn to months and eventually years. Seasons change. But i’m still here. As much as i change my state to i already have it all, i too have like certain scenes i play in my head (sort of what moonbakeries mentioned in her success story) but it’s still disappointing when every attempt (even the really close ones) lead me nowhere. There’s so much determination and motivation in me. It almost seems like i’m being pranked cause there’s absolutely no way i am still here, talking about this. I am so far from being lazy. I have had so many “this is it, i am tapping in tonight and stay up all night attempting for the void” moments (where i see so many people succeed) but i can’t join the club (yet) I don’t know what’s not clicking. I don’t know what to do.

Hi love! I completely sympathize with your situation as I've been there and I think most people on my page understand it as well. You understand manifestation and have manifested before but are unable to manifest the void, which tells me that you have some blockages within you regarding the void. I really recommend reading this post. I feel like the second method is what you need right now. It would just wake you up in the void state guaranteed. However, if you aren't able to do it, then we have to overcome your blockages regarding the void which is the purpose of the first method. I hope this helps love and good luck! 💗

So, SO, this post has been a long time coming. It’s my post about Tedbecca and the finale and all of the fallout. It’s gonna be long. It’s gonna be rambly. It may not make sense. It may be a mess. There may be no order to my musings. And I will probably be changing my mind on things even as I write them cause this is word vomit at it's best. Also I know a lot of what I'm about to say has already been said, probably more articulately but I just have so many thoughts bubbling away and it’s finally time for them to come out. Oh and fair warning, this is gonna be LOOOOOOOOOOONG. If you make it through, I’ll be seriously impressed. And if you don’t, that’s okay, this is mostly for me anyway.

Where to begin? Well, I guess firstly I really want to talk about Brendan Hunt’s comments in the reddit Q&A. I want to preface this by saying I don’t want this to be a personal attack against Brendan, that’s not cool. But his comments did hurt me and a lot of others, I know this was unintentional but they did and I kinda wanna unpick them. I just want it to be clear that my doing so isn’t an attack against him, I appreciate that sometimes it’s lose-lose in these kind of interview/Q&A situations and that it’s very easy to say the wrong thing. But anyway, I need to talk about it. It’s how I process and I’m someone who likes to understand WHY. Especially when it comes to stories and writing.

Firstly, the comment about people taking things personally. Really not good, but I think it was probably just very poorly phrased. Or at least I hope so. It’s not lost on me, the irony of me taking a comment about taking things personally, personally. I also know us getting upset about it only fuels the fire for those people who think we’re ‘throwing tantrums’ and have ‘no media literacy’ (more on that later) and that it perhaps only strengthens the point Brendan was trying to make. And I hope that point was, that it surprised him that people took their writing decisions as a personal attack against them, like they’d been doing it to deliberately hurt us. I can see why that would be surprising, if that's how fan reactions came across. The trouble is, Brendan's comment and others he made came across poorly. Paired with some writing decisions, it showed a real misunderstanding of how invested we were as fans. From a Tedbecca standpoint for example, the kitchen fakeout at the beginning of the finale. They say it was supposed to be an affectionate nod, which now I know, I appreciate. It's nice to know they weren’t doing it just to wind us up. So I can see why they’d then be surprised that we were so upset. BUT, again, it showed a real misunderstanding.

What they didn’t think about, what they didn’t see, is us investing everything into every episode and building things up to the point of driving ourselves mad. Wishing, hoping, praying, questioning ourselves, defending ourselves, analysing and over analysing everything, clinging on til the very end, BELIEVING (!) and TRUSTING THE WRITERS. This was our mantra. This was our faith. So when that finale opened and we saw that scene, it was like all of our wildest dreams had come true, it was relief beyond comprehension, it was vindication, it was incandescent joy, it was the ultimate payoff…only for it to then be a joke… The fall from that was the most painful fucking thing. To be built up to that level and then to crash down like that. Soul destroying. And then to have the airport scene at the end as a further fakeout, again with all of that build up. Man. The disappointment was and remains, beyond words. It would have been so much easier on all of us to just not have those fakeouts, we would have been disappointed sure. But to seemingly be given everything we’d hoped for and then to have the rug pulled out from under us. Oof. Fucking brutal.

The same can be said of the matchbook, which is actually even worse because I still don't understand why? WHY? I'm not trying to be an arsehole here, I'm not 'kicking off because I didn't get my own way'. I genuinely would just love to chat to the writers and hear them explain why this and other details were put in. I can only imagine their answer would come back to the soulmates thing. Which is fine, totally support platonic soulmates, but they just made it so confusing. The matchbook was linked to Rebecca looking for love, wasn't it? I suppose it could have been linked to looking for meaning and happiness and you could say Ted was trying to do the same. And perhaps the 'it shows you what was right in front of you all along' was meant to indicate the club for Rebecca and going home for Ted? Look, that doesn't add up completely to me, but I'm trying to make sense of it. This is why I would do anything to have a proper discourse with the writers because without a full explanation, their execution of whatever story they were trying to tell with Ted and Rebecca just feels confused and unfulfilled.

And look, I know the writers don't owe me or any of us an explanation. I know they had their story and their vision and that's up to them and it made sense to them and what they saw, but I wish they would stop insinuating (or outright saying) that we saw what we wanted to and made this up in our heads. Because if you are gonna tell us that, please be clear in explaining your reasoning and writing decisions to us. Please be clear in your writing and the story. And really, would it kill you to just say, "Everyone interprets things differently and that's wonderful. This isn’t what we were aiming for, but we love that people enjoyed it that way.”

One of the things that frustrates me most now that we've heard they were firm in Tedbecca not happening from the beginning is the wasted potential of Ted and Rebecca's friendship. Platonic soulmates is a beautiful concept and we would have loved it! If it had been explored properly and given the proper ending it deserved. It also would have allowed us to move on and focus on the show. But the constant in between with the fakeouts, a total headfuck. And to have it be a headfuck right up until the final minutes, whyyyyyy.

It’s not that we can’t understand or appreciate platonic relationships. We love those too! They’re beautiful! And I absolutely agree that they're aren't enough of them represented. But this one didn’t land right. Maybe Brendan meant his socially conditioned comment as an explanation. Like, media socially conditions people so we wanted to challenge that because this show was all about subverting expectations. Maybe that's why they referenced When Harry Met Sally so much, to make the point, actually, men and women can be friends. I mean, obviously, we all know that! (I actually think WHMS knows it too although I see why people think it sends that message.) But again, in that case, why didn't we see more of this beautiful platonic relationship? Especially in season 3! I have wondered if Ted and Rebecca's lack of screen time in season 3 was a deliberate move to deter people from the ship but have also considered that the writers may well have just wanted to focus on other characters and stories with the cast expanding so much and that less screen time for these two was a natural consequence. I also have felt retrospectively that Ted taking a step back was deliberate to show that these characters could thrive without him once he left. But still, more friendship please!

Now look, I appreciate that we obsess HARD. I appreciate we get carried away sometimes. And I 100% think the writers should stay true to what they want and their vision (well for the most part, more on that later) so I’m not saying the writers should be thinking about what the fans want here. What I’m saying is, it was poor judgement. Moments that were supposed to be affectionate came across as cruel. And then to be bewildered that we took it personally…total misjudgement of how much this meant to us.

Now Tedbecca as a romantic pairing aside, there was also misjudgment of how much these characters and their happiness meant to us and also a misunderstanding of why we were upset. We weren’t just upset about the pairing. We were upset that these characters didn’t get the endings we felt they deserved. And that goes way beyond Ted and Rebecca but this post is about them so that's who I'll focus on. Ted going home, though I am mostly reconciled to this now, still felt so sad and unexplored. @melliemd did a wonderful post (https://www.tumblr.com/melliemd/719859828851408896/one-thing-that-would-have-helped-the-finale-leave) about it not being that Ted went home being the problem but that he seemingly then disappeared from the lives of people in Richmond? Bizarre. Rebecca deciding she could travel and do whatever she wanted with her life and get to know herself, only to then decide to stay at Richmond without a scene to bridge the gap of that decision. Bizarre! For the record, I think she does belong at Richmond. But I truly felt she deserved some 'Drink, Sleep, Fuck' adventures round the world first. And to be paired off with essentially some random dude last minute? The fuck? And to have the whole suggestion that she's a Mother to the club only to then make her an actual Mother to some random child, frustrating! I thought that message of her being a Mother in a different way was so beautiful. And look, I appreciate that when it comes to women having children or not having children, there's always criticism and I 100% think her character wanted children and deserved to find that happiness buuuttt it just felt confusing. These endings were not satisfying. And regardless of platonic or romantic, you cannot tell me Ted's lack of proper goodbye to Rebecca was okay, it was just bizarre. So yes, we took this personally, because we were (and are) deeply invested in these characters and their happiness and them having the ending they deserved.

Now back to the ship, I’ve been thinking a lot about Brendan’s answer about Tedbecca being considered but never with enthusiasm. The thing is, the question was, ‘was Tedbecca endgame’ considered. Now if we’re looking at the confines of the show and we know that they were always firm in Ted going back to Kansas, then perhaps it never made sense to them for these two to have a happy ending. Perhaps the fixed point of Ted leaving negated any possibility for these two to end up together. Or at least I was thinking along these lines before Hannah said Jason was adamant that they were mates in the platonic sense!

I think the problem came in the determination that it had to be one or the other. And I know that sounds silly, how can people be platonic if they ever have romance. But the thing is, relationships change. The possibility that their friendship could grow and evolve into something more doesn’t erase the beautiful friendship they had before it changed. Does that make sense? I’m thinking about other shows and representations here. For example, you guessed it, my old favourite, Ugly Betty. Betty and Daniel have a 100% platonic friendship for most of the show and it is BEAUTIFUL. At the end of the show, it’s fairly open ended, although strongly implied that it’s heading towards romance. Now firstly, the open ending works beautifully and is what Tedbecca should have got (more of that below) but also the idea of romance doesn’t change or diminish the beautiful friendship Daniel and Betty had. It just indicated that after years of being friends, in a gorgeous platonic representation, they had become the most important person in one another’s lives and that their relationship had a beautiful foundation of friendship that could grow into something more if they wanted. The romance wasn’t because they were a man and a woman and HAD to get together. It just made sense that they probably would by the end of it given the journey their characters had been on and how their relationship had grown. I've seen a lot of people mention Monica and Chandler as another great example. They were genuinely platonic friends who become more, but that was never a given. We don’t love the 'friends to lovers' trope because ‘man must end up with woman’, we love it because the idea of two people building something from a strong foundation and knowing each other better than anyone else and supporting and bringing out the best in one another through thick and thin is GORGEOUS.

And on that point, let’s talk more about Brendan’s comment about people being socially conditioned to think a man and a woman should end up together in response to a Tedbecca question. This one hurt the most and was the most poorly thought out IMO. Well actually I’m not sure it was thought out at all. I’ve already said it in another post but I’ll say it again now, I ship characters based on who they are, their chemistry and usually their suitability for each other, not based on their gender. It’s mad to suggest otherwise and came across as incredibly condescending. It also again, showed a complete misunderstanding of the fans. I’m not naive enough that I can’t see what he meant, obviously the large majority of media is unfortunately still heteronormative and unconscious bias does exist, I appreciate that. And obviously I say this having already admitted that I thought the show featured a romance between these two before I watched it (based on scenes I’d seen on tumblr.) So I know I went in with pre-conceived notions. But this wasn't based on man and woman. This was based on, two people with matching baggage, supporting each other, helping each other grow, becoming best friends and being soulmates. And if you’re gonna blame me following a trope before I watched the show, blame enemies to friends to lovers, don’t blame man and woman. It was never about that.

As I said before, I totally get where Tedpendent shippers were coming from, it wasn’t my ship of choice but I could see Ted and Trent had chemistry and could work and be very cute together. That wasn’t my ship of choice, but only because for me, the characters of Ted and Rebecca (tropes aside) matched as people, regardless of gender, given their baggage and the growth of their relationship. And when I say baggage I don’t even mean the cosmic, soulmate, 1991, matchbook etc. stuff, beautiful as it was. I mean the fact that they have both just been through divorce, they understand each other like no-one else can, challenge each other, help each other grow, make each other laugh, are there for each other, have seen each other at their worst, their best and everything in between, the list is endless. They would make each other so happy! @lauranthalasahlasah did an incredible post about this (https://www.tumblr.com/lauranthalasah/718039664194387968/i-dont-want-ted-and-rebecca-to-end-up-alone-i) that I keep thinking about that says it better than I could.

I can’t imagine how hard it is to be a writer on a show like this and to have fans dissatisfied no matter what. But you know what, being a fan isn’t easy either. We’re often told we’re delusional no matter who we ship. And we’re made to feel like it’s our fault for wanting two people who would make each other so happy to end up together. Like we’re ridiculous for thinking it. Again, would it have been that hard to say, “I can see why people wanted that, it’s not the direction we wanted but it’s nice that everyone interprets things differently.” And yes, I appreciate they must have been EXHAUSTED with those questions by the end, they had them constantly, but please PLEASE stop implying that we're mad for even suggesting it. (Especially when you constantly and heavily refer to romcoms!) Wanting two characters you deeply care about to be happy (with someone perfectly matched for them) doesn't come from social conditioning, it comes from love. (And as Hannah Waddingham said, hope.)

Again, I understand why they wanted it to be platonic. And again, I respect that the writers wanted to stay true to their vision BUT I don't think the vision for a story should come at the cost of something that would have made a lot of sense for the characters. What I mean by that is, when I've written in the past, I've found it hard to let go of things I was firm on keeping in the beginning, but if they suddenly don't fit in the story, or if the story evolves past them, they have to go. And I want to be clear, I'm not comparing myself to these guys, I'm an amateur, they are professionals and they are sensational. And I'm not even saying Tedbecca had to happen, but what I'm saying is, being so determined that Ted and Rebecca could never happen, that they could only ever be platonic, because you wanted the show to subvert expectations, is where it went wrong. Being so firm in this decision you made so early on before the show started and grew and developed, that you won't even acknowledge the POSSIBILITY that these two characters - with all of their baggage and the evolution of their characters and their relationship (and Jason and Hannah's chemistry!) - could grow into something more, that's a mistake. It didn't have to happen, but an open ending would have made so much sense! Or if not even that, then outside of the show, just acknowledging that this could happen, would that be so hard? Stop being so headstrong in the platonic message that you ignore everything else about these characters and their relationship and the potential they could have had if that platonic relationship had evolved.

And being so firm in the platonic message, decided from the beginning, that you pair one of your main characters off with some random dude, how is that better? I'm not saying Rebecca can never end up with anyone and doesn't deserve to be happy. I'm not even saying that she wouldn't be happy with Dutch guy. She absolutely deserved to find love and her character genuinely wanted that. What I'm trying to say, is that pairing her off just for the sake of it and in such a rushed way, just felt wrong. Her character deserved better. You know who I would have loved to see Rebecca see outside of the airport? Keeley and Higgins. Her found family! I'm not saying it''s not okay that she ended up with a guy, that doesn’t lessen what a boss ass bitch she is or anything, but I think throwing someone in last minute which made it feel like it was for the sake of it and then at the same time telling us we're socially conditioned, is just a little bit hard to get your head around! All of that being said, Hannah Waddingham did say in an interview recently that she loved that Dutch guy didn't know Rebecca, so she could be old Rebecca without any of the baggage and be with someone not already involved in her life and all of her messy past. I did like that perspective. But I still think being with someone who knows you better than anyone else and has supported you through your trauma and has loved and been there for you through thick and thin, and who also happens to be your cosmic soulmate, is better.

But what do I know? I'm just a silly, socially conditioned, hysterical, media illiterate fan! 🤣

And on that final point, to all of those people out there who have deliberately been nasty or laughed at us or gone out of their way to tag Tedbecca in a shitpost - I feel sorry for you. If you feel the need to take time out of your day just to be nasty to people, that’s pretty sad. Especially in this fandom. You can laugh at us all you want but you know what? We didn’t get our ship, fine. But it’s still real to us, it’s not less because it didn’t play out how we wanted. And you know what else? We gained beautiful friendships through this ship. We formed a community full of hope and love and kindness. And nothing you say will change or spoil that. And for anyone upset, annoyed or offended by our posts because you were happy with the show, I am sorry...but you know what I do when I find continuous posts like that that I don’t like seeing? I unfollow the person. Simple as that. I don't go out of my way to personally have a go at them. Please try to do better people, it's genuinely pitiful in any fandom, but in a fandom for this show, about love and kindness, it's genuinely embarrassing.

I saw the movie last night and I have a lot of thoughts and I just wanted to get them out. There will be spoilers below the cut - read at your own risk

I really liked the opening and enjoyed the twist of unmasking the ghostface, only for that ghostface to be killed by the main ghostfaces of the film

Sam’s arc in the movie is a highlight and I liked her a lot more in this compared to Scream 5

Sam’s therapy session is hilarious - when she said “i stabbed him 22 times and slit his throat” the therapist’s reaction was hilarious

I found it unintentionally hilarious when Sam was looking at Billy’s robe in the glass case with her hand to the glass like she was ready to be possessed by his spirit of something 🙃

Gale dodging Sam’s punch only to be hit by Tara is a highlight

Some people might think that Gale still writing about the Woodsboro murders that happened is a regression in character but honestly it feels true to Gale imo

Like that they mentioned Sidney - honestly don’t mind her not being in these films because it means she got her happy ending which she deserves

Meta commentary was weak and they didn’t have much to say (“we’re in a franchise now” - mindy pls this is the sixth installment 😭)

Very glad to say Gale and Kirby survived - I thought for sure Gale was a goner and mentally prepared myself for it to happen

Liked that the kills are a bit more intense/violent compared to other films in the franchise

Certain scenes feel like they serve no purpose other than to mislead the audience and make little logical sense to me (e.g. Ethan helping Mindy off the subway - why not just let her die or finish her off? nobody on the subway even noticed her. It is just in there to throw suspicion off of him. Det. Bailey calling the FBI to ask about Kirby only exists to make his assertion that she snapped more believable to the viewer)

Seeing two ghostfaces kill together and do a simultaneous knife wipe was so cool

I had gotten the feeling from language used in interviews that there were three killers pretty early on before the film so wasn’t too shocked by that reveal

Detective Bailey and Quinn are the most obvious killers in the franchise in my opinion - faked death is always a big red flag in this franchise

I didn’t guess Ethan because honestly I forgot about him dsjflkajdlk

The super secret cameo that had been hyped up being Richie is super disappointing for me

The scene where Kirby and Mindy are geeking out over horror movies is cute (but do people REALLY like both Candyman movies equally... I for one don’t)

Gale scrolling the Stab reddit sent me for some reason

Gale’s first ghostface call... it’s been a long time coming and ghostface taunting her about dewey nearly killed me

Also is it just me or is it dumb how Gale shoots like 5 shots at the door?

I find it kinda amusing that this movie marketed this ghostface as ‘something different’ yet so many of his victims miraculously survive

In a way I’m happy that all the returning characters survived as I like them all, but it does make the stakes feel a lot lower (esp Chad, he was stabbed so many times smh)

This movie feels like the requel version of scream 2 but scream 2 is so much better

The killer family angle is kinda weak in my opinion and this was probably one of my least favourite killer reveals

You can really tell they’re Richie’s family cos they’re so lame

Chad and Tara are kinda cute

Danny had literally no role besides just standing around lmao

Love the nods to previous films with the shrines and the way that the killer’s masks were being left at the crimescenes
