I know this is a topic that most of the fandom especially on tumblr doesn’t give a fuck about.

But as an adult collector of the sets i absolutely despise other adult collectors of the ninjago sets.

Like imagine spending all your time complaining about how the CHILDRENS TOY meant for CHILDREN TO PLAY WITH doesn’t look like an adult level collector display set like. Yea no shit the designers are going to put functionality and fun mechanics above the design itself it’s almost like these aren’t designed to be on shelves 24/7.

And then when the finally DO get an adult display set (Cole’s new mech) THEY STILL COMPLAIN BC IT ONLY HAS ONE FIG LIKE OH MY GOD PICK A SIDE.

Istg these ppl r the only side of the ninjago fandom I would actually called entitled bc the amount of bullshit they demand for AND THEN STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT is ridiculous.

but whoever these ppl are onscreen doing goddamn gardening and hating bracelets are not five and lila and they are not in love. five and lila have had so much more chemistry the entire show (like generally not necessarily romantically) than they did in season 4 bc!! bitch thats not five and lila! five loving lila would not look like GARDENING, and abandoning his family. it HAS ALREADY LOOKED like accepting her as part of his family, putting aside all his issues w her and liking her cuz diego does, despite the fact she gets on his fucking nerves. five loving lila romantically should’ve looked like that too; then making snide remarks and lovingly bickering (kinda like lila does w diego that’s crazy) joking abt how they’re probably making a terrible mistake but super don’t care bc they are both insanely destructive ppl, that’s a five x lila i wouldve at least accepted as remotely realistic, and then we can all go on just debating the ship itself.

bc i truly do believe if five actually fell for lila she would be moved up on his ‘family i would die for list’ and he’d probably fuck over diego w/o a second thought. but again, this is not five in love, and this is not lila in love

relistening to the figley ending for the first time in forever at work (the wait was mainly because i had been meaning to replay it myself but never made time to do so) and ive only just realized the string of instances where the game uses memories as a form of escapism. and specifically thinking more on how that plays into its concept of choice. escapism in the form of remembering despite the parable essentially being a domain that is constantly divisive in what occurs within it. there's just something about the way that things simultaneously happen but also do not happen at all. because everything restarts again to its beginning before any choice has been made. and yet, memories are used as a device for the narrator to reminisce and bond over with stanley/us (the demo ending, the memory zone, and the figley ending specifically).

It is additionally interesting to note the memories the narrator recalls that were never present in any other aspect of the game. The essential false memories (the apple room in the figley ending, the various memories shown in the demo ending). But with this thinking, that things have and have not occurred simultaneously, it makes the memories we know to not happen be questionable in nature. Specifically in that there isn't a way to prove they didn’t happen outside of it being something we/stanley did not personally go through or see. But if memories are divisive in nature, in the way we recall things differently, there isn’t a way to call it false or fake. Not when the parable is already a domain built on restarting. Basically, it seems to be a notion to inform us that things can happen in the parable that we do not know have happened.

sorry, i'm not really going anywhere with this, i just think it is interesting in how memories are utilized. a preface for its setting, a mode of bonding, and seemingly its own tiny aspect that probably has no deeper meaning at all. On a different note, it is also very heartwarming hearing the narrator talk about stanley in such a heartfelt way and the way the figley ending itself ends with the way the game begins. the end is never the end and whatnot.

the way the dmlx 3hopes supports end makes me scream and cry etc. like it’s crazy that they ended w The Carrying Scene in the first place but actually for real it is Crazy that it LITERALLY ended w felix carrying dimitri. like that is THE perfect end to their support arc here. felix reaches out to him over & over the entire game trying to help/get through to him………

and then of course the king awakens cutscene where felix is the one to actually physically reach out to dimitri in fhirdiad. esp in that scene DIMITRI is the one to turn away—literally every time felix reaches out to him he just does not get what he’s saying & turns him down bc he thinks he’s responsible for fixing everything alone. so for their support chain to end with dimitri ALLOWING felix to literally physically carry him to bed is just so so so so so good and significant and perfect it makes me unwell
