I love reading your asks like the morning paper. It made me start thinking about (I haven't read the Noel/Oscar fic(s) yet so I do apologize if I'm just repeating what's already been said) not only Noel and Oscar having to deal with not knowing where Arthur and John are or how they are and having to get through dealing with that with only each other, but also Arthur and John coming back all of a sudden and being so tired and beaten up that Arthur just like collapses and starts crying because they're both so happy to see Noel and Oscar and they immediately comfort Arthur and John and don't ask them anything yet because they're just so happy to see them again that they don't have time or want to be anything but concerned for them even though Arthur just fucked off somewhere with no explanation except "the horrors" sorry that wasn't a question and it's probably borderline incomprehensible, iv never used this before i just needed to write this down before I forgot honestly

A (slightly angsty) domestic zukka hc I’ve been thinking abt a lot: I think Zuko would have a sort of knee-jerk flinching reaction when anybody touches his scar (with katara he looks like he’s bracing himself and with mai his whole upper body is sort of being held in place by her) (which i definitely think mai did on purpose to make him feel more comfortable but anyways) I think Sokka would after the first time figure out Zuko flinches hard even when he sees it coming and he’s The Plan Guy so I think he would secretly experiment and find out Zuko doesn’t flinch when sokka drags his hand from a different part of him (like his hair) onto his face. So he just starts doing that and it takes Zuko a stupid long amount of time to realize “hey Sokka touches my face a lot and it doesn’t suck. I wonder why🤨” until one day he figures it out like Sokka you sneaky shit you were nice to me and I didn’t notice

Bc the whole “zuko lets Sokka touch his scar bc he trusts him and he’s super normal abt it” is nice but it doesn’t feel realistic? You can trust someone a whole lot and still have instinctive trauma reactions. I think it’s much sweeter if Sokka notices and figures out a way to make it better without being asked.

idk this is definitely because i had an interesting 2024, but something i adore about elementary’s sherlock holmes is that he really goes from hating group meetings and therapy to realizing hm actually there is a real place for it in his recovery. like. he went from actively hypnotizing himself during meetings to going to them and sharing his insecurities and his fears about his sobriety. he becomes a sponsor. he gets quite aggressive when he becomes a sponsor, even. he encourages his new protégée to go to group meetings. sherlock holmes went from being arrogant (“i’m better than everyone, so these programs won’t work on me”) to openly admitting that just like anyone else, he needs a support system, and that makes me so teary every time

I start rehearsals for the musical I’m doing this summer really soon, and I’m trying to figure out how to convince people that I’m normal about broadway, especially with the Tony’s coming up. Like if people bring up the Tony’s how do I act as tho I haven’t spent hours and hours and hours obsessing over all the nominated shows this year? If someone brings up the outsiders how do I act like I haven’t sobbed numerous times because I’m not gonna get to see it on broadway? If someone brings up merrily how do I stop myself from either incoherent screaming or endless ranting????? When i start talking about broadway I practically start shaking!!! How can I convince all these people that I feel normally about all of this, so that once they know me a bit better I can show them the actual chaos of my mind. Wish me luck.
