i’m gonna be the optimistic port in the storm rn, i’m not surprised horner is putting the fault in the car instead of checo, but i don’t necessarily think it means ricbull is over. all of this honestly fits with MY chosen narrative that they could be gearing up for checo retirement announcement, seems like everyone (max included) is trying to paint him in as positive a light as possible which yes could certainly be because of $$$ but then you have to also apply that theory to max being uncharacteristically complementary about checo’s very clearly lackluster performance, which to put it bluntly i do not think he would be doing if he wasn’t specifically told to do so. this is solely based on vibes and gut feeling but i wonder if checo and his moneybags have made some sort of agreement that he gets to go out this year on his terms, which would explain why rbr seems to be acting like checo hasn’t been underperforming through any fault if his own when it’s… pretty obvious from even a non-biased view that he is most definitely the problem
