Stationed near the closed doors of the building were the two of you, in which you are a Fatui rookie, and another fellow Fatuus, who was also nice enough to befriend you. Your small conversations brought up the question of which Harbinger was leading the mission tonight, and he could only chuckle nervously.

“I just hope it’s not Lord Scaramouche.”

Suddenly, your colleague nearly yelps as you both hear the door practically bang open. The perpetrator takes in the sweet sound of deafening silence before he draws in, the familiar jingles of his hat ornaments echoing across the room. At the same time the doors swung open, you didn’t dare to see the authority figure who was stepping into the hallway. His two unfortunate subordinates know better than to test him with a look.

The whole world stops spinning once the Harbinger halts at your feet. You inwardly fight with your curiosity to not raise your head, boring your eyes at his feet instead.

Your newfound friend beside you starts, “Lord Harbinger, we are-“

The said figure strikes his face in one swift motion with a slap, wasting no time in shutting his subordinate up.

You couldn’t help but jump, staring and cowering at the sight of your unquestionable leader in front of you donning an expression of fury, his hand high in the air as if he was preparing to start beating up the poor guy senseless in the next few minutes. Yet, Scaramouche lowers his arm, smirking at the shaking underling beneath him.

After he hisses orders at the figure (who basically ran off to the next room immediately), he quickly turns, prowling towards you, the adornments of his hat sounding an alarm as you freeze at the anticipation of whatever else he was going to do.

However, the same smugness, that was once directed at your coworker, falls at the prolonged sight of you. Your Lord Harbinger simply huffs in annoyance, not sparing any apology as he bumps into your shoulders, trudging past you.

You could only thank the Archons that he spared you instead.

About your language brainrot. I see your "Reader's writing can't match tyvat's long and flowery writing" and bring you "Tyvat isn't used to books over 50 pages long so a short story to the Reader is a whole dictionary to tyvat readers".

Seriously, have you seen how thin the books are? They don't wrote novels, they write short chapters formatted in the way really old stories are. As in, summarizing all the events down into one smooth story then adding a few quotes. Fanfiction writers are insane. They will willingly sit down and write hundreds of words at a time. To them, a proper modern day story of maybe, oh 10k words or so, would probably be like the Oddessy itself.

If we were to combine the two headcanons. It would end up as many historians being intimidated by this insanely long written scripture in the language of the forgotten.

I'm going to take this a step further and say that if the creator asked some people to proofread their things, it would establish a hiarchy of who is able to actually finish the book the creator read and who isn't.

The bus stops at the bustling town square and you gather your things to leave. Once you got out, you didn't wait but to hurry your way up to the library across of you on the other side of the road. It's a bright day, sunny but warm. It's not too hot nor too cold so you are able to dress lightly. The library situate in between two coffee shops so you decided to get yourself a drink before you begin your study session.

You get your drink and enter the spacious building. A woman dressed in formal dress greet you by the counter. You write your name on a book like usual and goes to a vacant table. You wouldn't want to waste any of your time leisuring so you quickly take out your laptop, notebook and your textbooks to begin your study.

Too engrossed on your study, you failed to notice a person taking a seat beside you. Only when you stretch your arms wide did you noticed him because your elbow accidentally hit his face "Oh, my God- I'm so sorry!" You frantically apologized until you notice it was Isagi "Yeah, what a nice way to greet me..." He adjusted his nose, hoping you didn't break it. You look at him, now eyebrows furrowing "What're you doing here?" You questioned him and he lift his bag, "I was gonna study as well."

You stare at him as he take out his stuff to study alongside you. You prop one hand, the corner of your eyes crease ever-so slightly as you smile at him "Your parents nag you with chores too?" He huff, taking out his pen and shake his head "I tend to be distracted when I study at home..."

You've been with him nearly two months and that's a news to you. He turn his head at you, laughing quietly as to not get kick out right off the moment he just came "Study, Y/n." You scoff, looking away from him and grumbled a soft "whatever". However, when you finally fixate on your laptop before you, it was Isagi's turn to look, grin when you look so focus yet troubled. Your brows creased and mindlessly, he caress the creasing spot to ease your brow. You didn't say anything, just stare back at him with prominent blush start to appear all over your face.

Once you recontinue, Isagi went to mess with your attention again "Your nails..." You look at him, then at your nails "What about it?" He lets out a sheepish grin "They're shiny, you put on a nail polish or sum?" You retreat your hand from his grasp and examine them yourself "No...? I did buffed them a little bit last night." He grin, taking your hand once more to speculate.

"Pretty," You snort, very loudly but accidentally and that earns you a quick glare from the old, wrinkling librarian. Isagi turn to you, face funny "What?" He deadpanned and you laugh "You're so cute!" He jolt from his seat and fell the ground. As if that was not enough, his foot knock over your drink and the whole table is wet.

The old librarian storm over you both "Pack your stuffs and leave, now." Everyone's staring and you won't lie, this is very much more embarrassing than times you had to cross roads.

"Your fault we get kicked out." He look at you, pretended to be hurt and pouting "It's okay, we can go again next time." You hit his arm "And you almost crash my laptop!" He look at your wet bag consisting your laptop "Almost, not entirely." You smack his arm again and this time, he winced "Okay fine, I'm sorry...!"

"To make it up to you, I'll buy you snacks, okay?" He smile, picking your hand and grasp it before dragging you far from the town square to a much secluded area filled with tranquility. He even got you snacks, lot of them, as promised. It's safe to say you've become not too haunted by the embarrassing accidents in the library earlier.

i remember conjuring about four ideas for the dbn halloween event before ultimately settling on yet another demon au TT like there was a cultish monster hunter au, a fallen angel reincarnation au, and a zombie apocalypse au... i honestly didn't know if i would make it or not lol and i had @justalildumpling proofing while i wrote the ending haha i can't say if i'm completely satisfied with it, but i can say that i think my world building and plot building skills have def improved, and you can see it in that fic

tbh i thought this fic was gonna be a flop at first bc it wasn't until maybe a day after i posted it that it started to get traction? i also had the idea for it haunting my brain for MONTHS and i was so glad to finally get it out into words haha suffice to say, i am still so surprised by how well it did, but pleasantly so!

i could talk about this fic, this series, this CHARACTER for DAYS. at this point, nt!changmin is a completely different entity to the changmin you think you know LOL creature is my self-indulgent character study of a demonic being who loves a person so much that he doesn't know what to do with himself

pretty self-explanatory — i honestly have no idea how i wrote over 300k last year, but i'm still pretty happy with how much i was able to write this year! i took a lot more breaks, and more time to write, and this def doesn't encompass just how many words i've written that are still in drafting stages and not published :')

to my friends, mutuals, and readers, thank you so much for being by my side this year! it's been brutal out here, not gonna lie, and i wish i had been able to post and write more this year. alas, life happens. i also find that writing longer fics that are more fleshed out just satisfy my creative needs a lot better—meaning that i will likely not produce as many fics, quantity-wise, as i used to.

on that note, i hope to at least give you some idea of what you can look forward to in the new year! i have several ideas for my superhero collab, including (but not limited to): mutant angel!jeonghan, scarlet witch!minghao, and venom!changmin. i'm also actively plotting out ventures with our sebongs, particularly a dokyeom knight fic and a fake dating dino fic! as for my current ongoing wips, i am hoping to get more finished for terra nova (high sci-fi/fantasy ateez fic), birds of prey (mafia hongjoong), and other secret projects 😌
