the worst part of reading tcf and not actually knowing korean is that every time i read the sentence 'cale speaks informally' i know there is a cultural context there that i don't understand and i'm kind of desperate to know just how rude cale is, on the regular.
#tcf#trash of the count's family#cale henituse#like. i specifically want to know just how he talks to alberu and white start#it seems to me those would be very interesting#but also#i would really like to know how people are speaking to cale#is choi han formal? how about the kids? his enemies?#i just think that there must be some pretty interesting cultural context here that i as an english reader am just not privy to

You know... I often think about the fact that out of all events in TCF? Rescuing Raon was the most important.
It wasn't just because Cale got himself a "Draco Ex Machina" at his side that could use OP magic at his convenience. He could have used tools or Rosalyn's magic instead, at the beginning at least. We saw how he planned ahead and used an enchanted tool to make Taylor and Cage invisible to sneak them into the capital.
It wasn't just because through Raon, Cale was able to make connection with Eruhaben and later Sheritt and many other Dragons. They were important for their victory, but Cale could have gotten in contact with them through other ways – Pendrick, for example.
It wasn't just because Raon could detect things like dead mana or magical traps and disguises – even if Rosalyn wouldn't be able to, Cale would have probably figured out Alberu's connection to Dark Elves sooner or later. He already had suspicions about "a secret to his birth" before Raon mentioned the dyed hair.
Yes, those thing mattered, don't get me wrong. But, out of all the changes Cale made after his transmigration – saving Raon was the event that truly changed the whole game... not for the world, but for Cale himself.
Raon was, in many instances, the pushing force behind Cale's motivation to participate in various events. Slacker life? Cale's wishful thinking. But the motivation to actively get people involved – like Mary, for example. Raon was the one who cheered Cale on, kept him company through everything, especially the tough times. Raon was the one who, along with On and Hong, melted Cale's heart the fastest, getting this stubborn, traumatized man to admit they were "family". It's not that he wouldn't be a good man doing good things without Raon; but without Raon he would be in a lot more denial (even more than he already is!!) about why he is doing such things.
Raon represents everything Cale loves about his new life. The joy, the hope for the future, the curiosity and enthusiasm. Yes Cale often acts tired of (or freaks out over) Raon's antics or pretends to ignore him. But in the end... he never actually does. Cale never stops paying attention to him or tells him to go away.
Raon was the one who truly "got under his skin", so to speak. Cale wholeheartedly trusts and respects Raon. Of course, Raon is still a child under his protection... The reason why Cale always insisted on him staying hidden, throughout most of their adventures. I remember the moment Cale got the Dragon Blood Drinking Crown, and his first reaction was "let's throw this away/destroy it". The utter repulsion towards anything that could be a danger to Raon, despite how potentially useful such an artifact could be, logic be damned. Or that moment when they met the White Star for the first time, the villain telling Cale how he would kill the child and feed his heart to him – how Cale outwardly showed terror for the first time in the whole novel, instantly hugging Raon close to him and activating the shield to its fullest.
That's what really gets to me, you know? Raon's protectiveness for Cale is so obvious, but Cale is just as protective of him in return. I truly believe that while all relationships that Cale had shaped him as a person (just like the God of Death stated in his letter to him), the relationship between Cale and Raon is one that shaped them both in equal measure on both sides.
This relationship between them feels like fate, and that's no accident.
Changing Raon's fate was fundamental for saving the world, yes. But it equally important for Cale's own growth. An event which happened right at the beginning on the story, shaped the course of the entire future.

You know, I've been thinking about OG!Cale's deal with GoD for a while now. And the more I think about it, the more unfair it is to me?
GoD literally reached out to Og!Cale when he was the most vulnerable, after he had lost everything and quite casually put the faith of the world on his shoulders.
GoD literally swept in in his time of need and went 'give up your life and I will save your world' like a total fraudulent bastard
For real tho, GoD literally put Og!Cale between a rock and a hard place. It was one of these instances in which the other side was presented with the illusion of freedom, because let's be real: Og!Cale was basically coerced into taking the deal.
It is presented to us as if Og!Cale really just threw away his world and life at the opportunity of reuniting with his mother, but that's not really what happened, is it? His mother's reincarnation was just an incentive to take said deal, but he only took the deal after being reassured that his world would be saved
Now, let's say Og!Cale still refused the deal. Then what?
Realistically speaking, what could've Og!Cale done by just regressing? GoD never offered him the same help he handed over KRS (aka the awfully descriptive and full of 'useless details' novel that set Cale's initial course of action) and thus that was never a path open for Og!Cale
Of course, I am by no means discrediting KRS, because the novel was just a guide and the results he got is all his own merit. He efficiently used the information provided, instead of doing a total redo like many other MCs do, and I love him for that
But that's the thing, it was never a matter of which soul was more competent to handle the task in the first place. It not that Og!Cale wasn't competent enough to save his own world
It was always about what would work best for GoD's own agenda and fix his own problems
Because, allow me to recap but:
Og!Cale got reverse isekaied, which is like ten times harder to pull off if you ask me.
We're talking about a literal fantasy boomer being thrown in the modern apocalyptic age, and worse, bro is in the body of someone pretty important (no matter how hard KRS tried to downplay it). If he half-asses his new job, it's gonna be a problem for sure
He has incomplete information on his hands. The impressive part is that, regardless, HeniRoksoo still manages to do KRS' work properly. Jang Sejong says so in the side stories
So it was never an issue of Og!Cale not being competent. The GoD definitely could have arranged a deal that didn't involve KRS at all, he just didn't do it that way because it wasn't convenient for him
I guess GoD did it this way to fix the problem with the White Star's curse affecting KRS, which I get, but idk
I'd like more people to acknowledge that Og!Cale didn't willingly screw KRS over, but was put in a difficult position himself
I know Og!Cale would take all the blame and paint himself as the selfish bastard who stole KRS!Cale's body, if asked, bc is very on brand on him, but I need more ppl to see through his bullshit and beat into Og!Cale skull that he got taken advantage of, too

I really love characters with the tendency to bleed and be some human sacrifice. Tysm kdj and krs. 😭 i have a new idea altho I'm not sure if somebody's already done this. Cale and the group with someone who coughs out blood everytime they spill spoilers from the tcf novel? Like she's been transmigrated/reincarnated (whatev you desire (^^). Bro is trying to help so bad bc they hate war so they do it subtly and carefully (imagine having to be careful with your wording, I can't even--) but can't help but shit out blood sometimes or most of the time cos they forget and get frustrated
Forgive me for i love miserable characters...

Crimson, the colour of Cale’s hair.
That was the colour Cale can see right now. However, he is not looking at his hair.
“Ugh!”
Instead, he was looking at the blood dripping from your mouth.
“Stop speaking. This is not good for you.”
“Why not? You cough up blood all the time. Why can’t I do the same?”
You joked lightly but Cale didn’t like how weak your voice sounded. Indeed, he always coughs up blood. Especially whenever he overuses his ancient powers. But the blood he coughs up is dark red. Dead blood from his regeneration powers cleansing his body.
Not the vibrant crimson blood dripping from your chin. Blood from a beating heart, a sign of vitality as Eruhaben would say.
“I need to continue, you need to know about this. We must hurry up so just- ugh… so just listen.”
When you told Cale you were going to pull a “World Tree-nim and a Cale combo”, he didn’t know what he expected.
It certainly wasn’t you trying to give out spoilers from your beloved book and coughing out copious amounts of blood.
“There will be monsters. Ones too hard to– Ugh! Fuck! I’m sure you understand what I mean.”
Drip
“That’s two out of five. Those things will be in a pit. It’ll look like statues, you will also see… you will also see an altar there…”
Drip
Drip
“You don’t need to speak anymore. Please, the rest of us will figure it out.”
“No, no. I’m fine really… Bear bastard, you know who it is, hostages. He’ll– Ugh!”
Drip. Drip. Drip
“It’s Tasha’s people. For a summoning– Fuck that one really hurts! I'm trying to speak as vaguely as possible already, what the hell…”
“Please… I’m going to tape your mouth shut if you don’t shut up.”
Drip
Drip
Drip. Drip. Drip
“I’d like to see you try. The tape won’t stick with all– with all this blood.”
“Haaa”
“Enough jokes. The fourth and fifth ones are connected. In Endable, watch out for bears and black– watch out for black mages. And avoid– Shit! Avoid using instant. But I'm not sure if it's… if it's possible… I need to speak… to speak to Raon. The last spoiler is for him– ugh..!”
Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.
Cale wanted to refuse. He wanted this to end.
At first, it was just from your mouth.
The blood that is.
Then it started dripping from your left eye. Naturally, your right eye was next.
Then your nose. Then your ears.
Before the commander knew it, your entire face was covered with blood. He tried to wipe it, but they were dripping so quickly that it did nothing.
Cale doesn’t know how are you still conscious. He isn’t even sure if you’re still breathing. That was why he wanted you to shut up. That was why he desperately wanted this to stop.
But it can’t
Cale can’t refuse nor can he end this.
It was because you already made up your mind. And since you did, there’s no stopping you now.
So he gets Raon. Warned the toddler that the sight inside the room would not be pretty, but he must listen. Because their futures are resting upon the words you are about to say.
Upon the words written in your beloved book.
“Human…”
“I know… If you can’t listen I’ll listen for you and rely on the message.”
“No… I’m great and mighty. Because I’m great and mighty I shall listen to this conversation myself.”
Raon flew over to where you were. Placing himself on your lap as he uses his stubby paws to hug you.
“Ah, it feels comforting to have such a great and mighty being comforting me. But you’ll get blood on you– Ugh..!”
Drip. Drip.
The black dragon didn’t care about the blood. He just hugged you tighter at the sound of you coughing up more blood.
“Raon Miru-nim remember this well. Things might get messy and despite my meddling things might still go awry. So I’m telling you right now. In Endable, Cale might become incapacitated to fight– Fuck! Ugh, I promised to not curse in front of you…”
Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.
Drip…
Drip..
“It will be hard, you will need to do everything yourself, without Cale. In fact, you will have to do his job– ugh… but you must do well. Remember, the first thing you have to do is have Mila-nim on standby. She can heal him.”
Cough
Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip
“I want to say more… but I’m reaching my limit…”
Raon tightened his hug and you weakly reciprocated it. You aren't sure if the wetness you feel in your shirt is from your blood or the dragon’s silent tears. Nonetheless, you still tried to hug Raon tighter.
In the meanwhile, Cale was already calling for servants and healers to attend to you as soon as you admitted your limit. His voice was laced with unusual panic. It made the others who didn’t know what was happening move with urgency.
“Raon-nim…”
“Yes?”
“You are strong, smart, great and mighty, always remember that.”
You weakly stroked Raon’s back, trying to comfort him in advance for the things about to come.
“Young master what’s going on–”
Beacrox and Ron stopped in their tracks when they saw the condition you were in.
“Ahahaha, you guys are right on time. I think… I’m going.. To…”
You couldn’t even finish your sentence for you already fell unconscious. Your body dangerously swaying to fall off from your sitting position on the couch. Luckily, Cale was nearby and managed to catch your falling body.
Cale glanced at you, then he glanced at the open book on the table.
As usual, he couldn’t see what was written on the pages. He could only see the cover title at the front and the synopsis at the back.
But that doesn’t stop him from hating that damned book that put you in this state.
If only you haven’t read that book before coming here.
If only there wasn’t a restriction placed on you by that damned book.
If only…
“Fuck, after this war is done I’m going to try and burn that shitty book one way or another. I don’t care anymore if it’s your favourite.”

You know, I think i figured out why I like Deruth. So, I've never really seen Deruth spoken about but I've seen fanfic interpretations and it almost seems like the fandom itself doesn't quite know what to make of Deruth. Some people treat Deruth from the Birth of a Hero and Deruth from LCF/TCF as separate characters and other interpretations, the one I'm more in favour of is that both versions of Deruth cared about their son, they just didn't know how to show it or fix their relationship. Cale himself acknowledges that Deruth is awkward and doesn't quite know how to speak to Cale. I personally see Deuth as someone who made mistakes following the death of Cale's mother and wanted to fix it, but couldn't figure out how, so didn't do anything, which was a mistake in and of itself. Cale starts acting like trash and Deruth again doesn't know how to handle this or fix this, since he blames himself, so, again, he doesn't fix it. And the longer it goes without him doing something, the worse the strain on their relationship gets until it ends up how we see at the first breakfast, Deruth awkwardly trying to speak to his son but unable to, as he doesn't know what to say. So what changes? Cale. Kim Rok Soo becomes Cale, realises how awkward things are and takes the first step, as he compliments breakfast, something he doesn't think about and just does to stop things being awkward but it gives Deruth an opening. It's just a short conversation, but what a difference it makes to the probably usual silent and awkward breakfasts before where no one quite knew what to say or do with Cale, and Cale, if he shows up, either says nothing or speaks only to complain about the food and then leaves.
However, this actually isn't the main thing I wanted to note. So, I've discussed the previous, Deruth's point of view. And I'm not gonna sit here and say he was good father to the original Cale or was the father he needed. He's not winning father of the year awards for original Cale, I can agree with that. Are there worse fathers? Yes, Marquis Stan immediately comes to mind. But it would be hard to say Deruth was a good father to original Cale. Now let's consider the third element here, KRS!Cale Henituse, a man mentally older than his new body, a man who only had caring parents for a few years and it's uncear how much he remembers of them, a man who was abused and mistreated, pitied, a man who's can't care about people, because if he does, something bad will happen to him. I think, in a weird way, Deruth was almost the parent Kim Rok Soo needed at the time. Let me try to explain.
So, imagine for a second a world where the Henituse family dynamics are different, healthier, happier. Maybe Deruth and Cale fixed their relationship, maybe Cale is closer with his step family. They'd be caring, nice, what a family should be. Imagine Kim Rok Soo, an orphan who was abused and had hardened himself to not care about anyone, would this not be more odd to him? Going from keeping everyone at arms length and not letting anyone in to having to show his care for parents and step siblings, something he's never experienced before. I honestly think Kim Rok Soo would've liked this less because he wouldn't know what to do when shown obvious care by a family when he's never head that relationship before. I don't know, I feel like this is more Kim Rok Soo's speed, Clearly care but still allowing that independence and freedom. Care when he gets hurt but awkward and distant. Deruth is not the father Cale needs but in an odd way, he is the father Kim Rok Soo needs at this point. Does that mean you have to like him or see him as a good father? No, it's not up to the child to fix ther relationship with their parent. But it gives less whiplash for Kim Rok Soo than a close, physically affectionate family would. Or maybe I just like him, like that he does care even if he struggles, like that he's trying even if it doesn't always seem like that. again, you don't have to like him or think he's a good parent. This is just my opinion, my interpretation. I don't know man. I've been thinking about this story all day.
On that note, and I could be wrong as someone who is not aroace and has limited knowledge on aroace, but I feel like Cale is on the aroace spectrum. we're in his thoughts for two years and not once does he consider getting in a romantic relationship. In his dream life there's nothing to do with getting married or having kids. Does this necessarily make him asexual? No there are people of all sexualities who aren't bothered about marriage or kids, but they still tend to want some sort of romantic or sexual relationship and Kim Rok Soo/Cale Henituse seems to have zero interest in this. He has kids, he has family, he has friends. At no point does he express any kind of want for a romantic or sexual partner. Could this be because he has bigger problems? Yes. Could this be because of his past and the curse? Yes. Is he the only character this applies to? No, most of the characters show no interest in romance. Because ultimately this book is not about romance, not even slightly. It's found family, it's friendship, it's fantasy but there is no romance and, yet, for most of the characters I wouldn't rule out the possibility of them having some form of romantic or sexual character. Even with Cale I'm not saying he can/will never have those relationships. But even when he acknowledges someone as being attractive, it doesn't seem sexual or anything. He says it like it's a fact, then moves on. This isn't to say I disagree with shipping Cale. I myself don't mind a little Alcale or Choi Han/Cale. Do I personally think they are romantic or sexual? Not necessarily. You can interpret things that way, but i personally like things as they are, no romantic ships but really close friendships, to me platonic love and platonic relationships are just as, if not more, important than romantic love. And, tbf, even in content where there are romantic relationships, those romantic relationships are never the most interesting part. I don't really watch or read things, like non-fanfiction things, where romance is the main point or main storyline. I used to, but as I've gotten older (I say pretending to be wise old woman at the age of 21), I've come to appreciate friendships non-romantic relationships more and it's the main reason I enjoy shows, for relationship dynamics of all kinds.
I think that's why I'm so, like, chill with shipping and fanfiction with like proships. Now, i don't personally read things like incest or age gap fanfiction. It's not for me, no thanks. But i do tend to ship different things for different reasons. So, if I say I ship something, it's not necessarily because I think they'd have a cute, happy, healthy, loving relationship. Sometimes it's quite the opposite. Sometimes it's because i know it would be toxic and unhealthy and dark and it may even be one-sided, but my god, is it interesting. Some ships i ship purely for the angst, for the way they destroy and ruin each other. Other times I go for fluffier, happier ships. I generally think, as long as you know wrong from right in real life, ship what you want, write and read the fanfiction you want to read, and avoid the fics and ships you don't want. Don't like, don't read does apply. Commenting and interacting just gives it more attention. We all know what we like and don't like. At the end of the day you can't tell someone's morals from the fictional media they interact with. Sometimes you don't want something happy and fluffy and safe. You want something angsty and dark and hard to read. That doesn't make anyone a bad person. Sorry, this has little to do with this post. I'm just tired of people saying "if you like reading about X, you're a bad person" and putting labels on people for reading and writing fictional content that doesn't hurt any real, living person

Okay, probably not a hot take, but imma scribble about it anyway,
I honestly think Cale Hetinuse/Kim Rok Soo has chronic pain/fatigue.
Like, everybody loves the whole coughing up blood/wet meow meow thing he's always doing, but personally? People who are that nonchalant about Shit Happening To Their Body, are typically people who are waaaaay too used to Fucked Up Shit Happening To Their Body,
It's just a head canon, but as someone who is chronically in pain, I absolutely do some of the stupid shit CH/KRS does, like carrying stuff I should NOT be carrying, or continuing to Do Things even when I should be sitting and resting. I also know several people who (like me) can be experiencing level 4-5 pain and not show a hint on their face/through their actions besides maaaaybe moving a bit slower/stretching more
And we know KRS has been on his own since he was itty bitty... And then he grew up in a world hell bent on killing everyone. I can't help but think that a tiny child with no one to help him with the general cuts/bruises/little hurts of childhood would 1) have zero frame of reference for what "okay" actually looks like 2) probably has never really received medical care beyond emergency assistance (which does jack for chronic conditions) and 3) has NEVER really had someone in his life long enough for them to catch his way of coping with pain (my very close friends can hear when I'm hurting/tired, everyone else only notices if I am visibly incapacitated)
So, Kim Rok Soo ends up in a world/body that "technically" hasn't experienced his life, HOWEVER fibromyalgia and PTSD are like goddamn pb&j. It's a condition that is deeply tied to a body's stress response. And what does Cale say once he has the Heart? "I feel BETTER"
And that just speaks to me of a person who is so used to pain, that it no longer really registers... I had daily headaches for 7 years, it wasn't until I moved and got a new primary that I found out that more than 4 headaches in a month was considered a concern... I got on some migraine meds and actually stopped having that daily headache, something id just accepted as "how my body works" gone,
I personally don't consider pain at a 1-2 as particularly bothersome, it's more like a general annoyance. Onces it's up to 6-7 it's hard for me to move, and yet I often will still do so, despite the pain. It's only at 9-10 so I stop moving entirely and focus on just weathering it. Usually when that happens, I sleep so much after as my body tries to recover.
And when I read Cale, so casually continuing forward, despite the work he takes on himself, after the constant planning and prepping and ass kicking, all I see is a person who has lived so long with his body's suffering that it's just background noise. Yeah, he coughed up some blood, but the pain is back to "normal" so how can he raise a fuss? He killed 3 monsters with a dislocated shoulder that one time, this? This is easy. And despite claiming his body is weak, he refuses to truly accept the help and rest he needs because (like I used to) Cale thinks "this is just how my body works"
Sometimes, I cannot remember how I lived prior to my pain. Sometimes, I cannot imagine a world where I do not spend half the night attempting to force my muscles to relax, so I can actually sleep. I cannot imagine a world where I am able to do everything I want in a day and not collapse at the end. And I see so much of myself in how Cale continues to move despite the weight of the ancient powers, the expectations of the gods and his own personal hopes. He seems like a character doomed to continue walking, his bones broken but refusing the care because whats the point if everything still hurts the same way in the end?
Anyway, Raon should invent a cure for chronic illness and force Cale into a year long sabbatical
#trash of the count's family#lout of the count’s family#cale henituse#kim rok soo#listen okay#i am at the grocery store cafe sitting trying to recover enough to grab my 5 things and drive home#i am exhausted enough that i think i may end up in bed the minute i walk back inside my house#never have i wanted more to be able to teleport#and thus I began thinking about The Blorbo and realized... shit i am being kinda stupid#and it IS okay for me to just ficking go home and get stuff another day#i dont have to try and cram 15 things into one thing#one thing is plenty#and thus i felt like rambling about said blorbo as encouragement#but very seriously as a chronic illness girlie CH/KRS is One Of Us#i have declared him a spoonie who is in massive denial and i will not be taking any questions#load that boy down with whatever ails you#he probably has it#eventually i will expound on my Han Yoojin's leg is still fucked up but he's hiding it essay#however rn is goal: get fucking home time

He could only say a single thing toward Cale who had gone up against these monsters.
“Stupid idiot.”
“What?”
Cale couldn’t help but ask.
‘What the hell?’
However, Raon chimed in at that moment as well. The invisible Dragon who had been quiet was speaking again.
- The crown prince is right!
‘What?’
“You fucking moron.”
“...Excuse me?”
It was a two-hit combo.
Cale had a baffled expression on his face but the crown prince was being serious.
What was the thing that people who wanted power valued most above all else?
It was their lives.
They wanted to live a long life in power.
The crown prince shared his honest sentiments with the pale Cale.
“You are the craziest of all.”
“Excuse me? Hyung?”
Alberu just ignored Cale and turned away.
“Choi Han.”
“Yes sir.”
“You've suffered quite a bit.”
“Thank you very much.”
Choi Han respectfully bowed his head.
‘What the hell?
What kind of conversation are they having without me?’
Cale looked toward them with a shocked expression, but Alberu jumped off the tree and patted Cale's shoulder as he continued on.
“Work hard. Otherwise, I will make you a Prime Minister or the Chairman of the Nobles Meeting.”
‘What terrible things to say!’
His life as a slacker in his thirties to fifties would turn to dust if he became the Prime Minister.
And he would have to work until he died of old age if he became the Chairman.
‘How could there be such an evil prince?!’
Cale looked toward the crown prince as if he was ready to silently shout. However, Alberu continued to speak as if he understood what Cale was thinking.
“However little bro, I promise on my name that I will let you live your life as a slacker if you successfully complete everything.”
“Hyung, you really know how to say something so strong and wise as the sun in the sky.”
-(chapter 309) Alberu is amazed at the things Cale is capable of doing, but even more outraged that this fool decides to do it all alone, even though he says he wants to live like a slacker. It is obvious that Alberu is not the only one who has the same opinion.

OG Choi Han they could never make me hate you cause if some random rich boy was yelling at me and telling me my family deserved to die like a day after it happened and all I wanted was to know how I could get help I’d beat him up too
This plus the added fact that the Harris Village people were the first people to take Choi Han in and take care of him after years and years in the dark forest. Like he’s obviously not going to be mentally stable after all that, and he was so young when everything happened to him like I cannot blame him at all. I don’t think I can ever hate OG Choi Han like ever, he’s flawed, he has problems, but I love him dearly. He deserves the world. This kid who had to fight for his life, was taken away from his family, and in the process had to give up parts of his own humanity to survive, and like went to war two years later, they could never make me hate u OG Choi Han…
Like yeah violence is bad I guess but OG Cale had it coming(saying this as an OG Cale fan, I love him, but he was mean as hell when he was younger!)
If I’m honest, I think they were both in the wrong to an extent. Like OG Cale shouldn’t have said all that no matter the circumstances, and OG Choi Han shouldn’t have beaten him up so much. But u say mean shit and you get hit, that is how it will work when you’re talking to the guy who just saw his entire village get murdered like idkkkk man
I understand where OG Cale was coming from, but he had many issues and while he wasn’t an awful person, he was capable of doing bad things because of his own internalized pain and emotions that he never got to properly process because of his emotionally distant childhood and relationship with his father who should have been there for him more when he was younger.
Okay speaking of his childhood, Deruth isn’t the WORST father in the world but there are a lot of things he could have done better. I think a lot of Deruth’s flaws come from his fear of failure and messing up. He’s scared of doing the wrong thing, and so he sticks to doing what he knows and using what he knows best. That’s why he uses his money, that’s why gift giving is his way of showing affection, he knows that it is one thing he cannot mess up.
The problem is that money and gifts is NOT what OG Cale needed. I think what that guy needed the most was a parent who wasn’t afraid to talk to him, to ask him questions. Not to say that Deruth gave up on OG Cale, but I think in a way he gave up on OG Cale by giving up on himself. Deruth didn’t trust himself to have the capabilities to talk to OG Cale, which is why he never did. It’s because that Deruth was scared, and didn’t trust himself, that he could never face OG Cale
If Deruth was able to trust himself a little more, and pull himself together, I don’t think OG Cale would have turned out the way he did. As a kid, he probably thought the only way he could help his family without relying on anyone(no doubt this whole ‘I have to do it myself’ thing came from the fact that he couldn’t rely on his father when his mom died, and instead was acting as a pillar of support for his father when it should have been the other way around) was to sabotage himself, the only heir. If he was shown to be unfit to be heir, then everyone else would have no choice but to direct their hatred towards him instead of his family.
If Deruth had talked to his son at least ONCE when he was a kid, asking him why he was upset or why he did the things he did, I think OG Cale would have told him. Why? Because he’s a kid!! A kid will obviously want to rely on his father, if he just had one sign telling him that he didn’t have to do it alone I’m 90% sure OG Cale would have said something.
Basically, while Deruth isn’t the worst father, he’s not really a great father either. I think he does do his best, but he has issues with communication lol
OG Cale and OG Choi Han are both complex characters and had their own reasons to behave the way they did. The thing is with people is that they’re complicated and have layers, so the situation with them would have layers behind it as well with multiple co-existing truths and stuff
#guys I’m a big fan of Choi Han#and I get sad when people bring up this scene and all the blame is on him#like okay he was wrong but if YOU saw your entire family dead and some random rich boy started yelling abt how their lives were worthless#you’d be mad too no?#like his feelinsg were totally justified cause OG Cale was REALLY mean in that scene#‘their lives are worth less than the bottle in my hand’ OHHHHH OKAY OG CALE THATS ENOUGH THATS ENOUGHHHH#I love OG Cale but u have to admit he wasn’t very nice when he was younger#like the statements ‘he had his reasons’ ‘being trash was an act’ ‘he wasn’t a bad person’ ‘but he did say bad things’ can co exist#yes being trash was an act but he is ALSO capable of saying mean things and things that are wrong#LIKE TELLING THE GUY WHO JUST GOT HIS FAMILY MURDERED THAT THEIR LIVES WERE WORTHLESS#HE WAS NOT INNOCENT FOR THAT#Younger OG Cale is not a black and white character#and neither is older OG Cale but this post isn’t abt him#okay I’m gonna bring up someone who isn’t from TCF#but take Eunyung Baek from no home as an example okay#eunyung did bad things and was a bad person because of his childhood right#the reasons to being a bad person do not take away the bad things he did#but just cause he did bad things and was capable of them did not mean he could not change#I love OG Cale a LOT and I just think that his character has a lot behind it#Older OG Cale is obviously very different from his younger self#years and years of war and tragedy have matured him and like he’s not the same person he was anymore#okay back to Choi Han I love that guy I will defend him with my life#beating up people is wrong yeah but with the circumstances I’d say OG Cale had it coming#like okay it would be different if it was unprovoked but it was very much provoked#I swear I love OG Cale I just think he was very wrong for that#not to say he can’t change or isn’t capable of change he definitely is#idk I guess my point is that OG Cale was wrong but he changed as a person#and OG Choi Han was wrong for beating him up so much but it wasn’t unjustifiable#tcf#lcf

Hello and welcome to Day 26 of "Let's Explore My Plot Bunnies"
I still feel awful 😷
Today, I wanna present to you a kind of long idea that I had a while back. It's a Lout of the Count's Family and Pokemon (Crossover-ish?) idea.
It titled it:
"Into the Unknown: Cale Henituse's new life as a Pokemon Trainer"
The idea centers around the original! Cale Henituse, rather than KRS! Cale. And it's really long - both as in "explaining the idea" long, as well as series of book long because I have prepared Cale's Pokemon Teams for 8 Regions, but story wise I only have about 5 or 6 planned.
Basically, imagine that the Sealed God got wind that Cale's existence (together with Raon's, Ohn, and Hong's) will be his downfall from some Hunter that just wanted to cause chaos around. The Sealed God gets into his head to kill the 4 entities that would pose the most problems to his plans, but the God of Death intercepts the spells send towards Cale, Raon (not named yet), Ohn and Hong and instead of killing them, the spell send the four into another dimension - the Pokemon Dimension. (Arceus basically becomes father to a new child and grandfather to his new three grandchildren)
Cale Henituse is 17 here, Raon is 3 years old, and Ohn and Hong are 9 and 7, respectively.
The four appear in Kalos, near the place that Professor Sycamore was exploring. All of them are unconscious and injured - Cale has more negligible injuries, but Raon, Ohn, and Hong are malnourished and have big injuries.
Sycamore takes them back to his lab and nurses them back to health. Cale is the first one to wake up, and he is very much weary of everything and everyone around him. Professor Sycamore is the one who explains what this world is and that people coming from different worlds are somewhat common here. Although speaking and understanding what others say comes relatively easy for Cale, reading and writing are not as easy. Professor Sycamore takes upon himself to teach Cale how to read and write the alphabet of this world - and basically adopts him as well. (Sycamore already has a child, why not two?)
While Cale is fascinated with the creatures known as Pokemon, Ohn and Hong wake up. They are very much scared of everything and everyone around. The one that calms them down is Cale because he speaks to them in the language of their original world, which is way easier for them to understand.
When Sycamore mentions that there is another one left to wake up, Cale asks who. When Cale sees the baby black dragon, he is very much horrified. His mother, Jour Thames, always said that dragons are creatures that should never be bound, nor treated with disrespect. She taught Cale whatever she knew about these powerful creatures, so when Cale sees the harness on the small black dragon, he immediately tells Sycamore they should remove it since it is actually harming the dragon, rather than helping him or being a normal occurrence for such a creature - like Sycamore thought. (Cut him some slack; Sycamore didn't know if the harness is akin to clothes for humans since different worlds mean different costoms)
Turns out that the little dragon has some severe wounds around his wings, so he shouldn't try to fly anytime soon before he heals. Cale is somewhat worried about that, but the fact that he is in seemingly another world takes precedence in his mind at the moment.
Cale, even after Raon wakes up, still finds no way of getting back to his world. The only clue he has for getting back is the fact that "Legendary Pokemon" - as Sycamore calls them - exist and that they have powers beyond the imagination of humans.
While staying with Sycamore, Cale helps with things such as feeding the Pokemon under Sycamore's care or arranging some files with Alain, Sycamore's adoptive son. (Alain proves to be very much like his father and takes a liking to Cale very quickly, declaring Cale - at least in his mind - his younger brother.) This is how Cale meets an injured Absol with whom he connects during the months he spends at the lab.
The turning point in Cale's stay at the lab is when Sycamore's Garchomp - who is gentle and caring - suddenly turns aggressive. Cale notices there is something attached to her neck, so he and Absol, who wants to help, give chase to Grachomp. Unbeknownst to them, the little black dragon, despite his wing injuries, follows them. The chase stops at the top of Lumiose Tower, where not only do they realize they have a small injured dragon following them, but also Cale has his first taste of a Pokemon Battle together with Absol. Absol's Iron Tail manages to shatter whatever is on Grachomp's neck, and everything seems fine, but the black dragon falls off the tower when the small part of structure he is standing on crumbles. Cale dives after him, knowing that the dragon's wings were injured and they are saved by a Mega Blaziken.
Once this ordeal is over, Cale decides he should try and find a way back to his world. His best bet at the moment is going on a Pokemon journey and trying to find one of the Legendary Pokemon to ask for help. The black dragon is interested in Cale since he is not like all the other humans he has met and decides to follow him around. Ohn and Hong are also quite attached to Cale at this point, and they want to follow.
Cale's Pokemon Partner ends up being Absol, who likes Cale a lot and wants to help him.
And so Cale's adventure in Kalos begins. And many more adventures will follow.
Other things to note:
I have Kalos planned out from what is going to happen to Cale's entire pokemon team. The same goes for like the next 5 or so regions.
In Kalos, Cale will have two companions who remind him of Amiru and Eric. I haven't decided on a name for them yet, but I do know I wanna make them siblings. I want the girl to have a Pachirisu as a Pokemon Partner, while her brother has a Corphish.
Cale's Team for Kalos will be: Absol (who will mega evolve); Fletchling -> Talonflame (1st Pokemon caught); Honedge -> Aegislash (reminds Cale a lot of Beacrox; Caught when Cale explores the Parfum Palace); Croagunk -> Toxicroack (Remind Cale of Ron; saved Cale at one point in the story and decided to go with him cause and I quote "the kid needs protection since he ends up hurt all the time"); Slowpoke -> Slowbro (Slowpoke caught himself when Cale was at Azure Bay and helped move the Slowpoke away from the crowd; loves to lay on Cale's head and nap); Mareep -> Ampharos (caught around Route 12; evolves from Flaffy to Ampharos during the Team Flare take over of the Power Plant)
In this au, the gym leaders of Kalos have a small little test to dwindle the numbers of challengers they get at once. Viola will put kids to take pictures of some bug Pokemon without telling them that said Pokemon are very skittish and don't like loud noises all that much; Grant will make them climb up a wall till they get to its highest point (where the battle platform is) and he will battle them in the order they arrive there; etc.
I am throwing the Pokemon canon into the trash can here. There will be characters that shouldn't be as young as they are here. The reason I am doing this is because I like giving Cale tons of unhinged children to look after.
After Kalos, Cale becomes a researcher assistant and helps Sycamore and Alain with their work. Because of this, Cale is sent to other regions pretty often.
After Kalos, Cale goes to Hoenn, accompanied by Raon, Ohn, Hong and Absol only. There, he will travel the region with Steven Stone, a 16 years old teenager. Steven pretty much loves Cale like a younger brother, and he is kinda unhinged should Cale ever be hurt. In Hoenn, Cale is introduced for the 1st time to Pokemon Contests and participates in them, too. He goes so far as to get into the Grand Festival.
After Hoenn comes Unova, where Cale meets Steven again (Steven basically tricked his father into agreeing with him and letting him leave Hoenn). Cale and Steven also meet the mysterious N, a 15 years old teenager, with whom they end up traveling around. In Unova, Cale is chosen by Reshiram, while N is chosen by Zekrom. The main reason is that during this specific journey, Cale starts accepting that there might not be any way for him to go home - accepting the truth of his situation.
After Unova, Cale goes to Alola to teach at the Pokemon School with Professor Kukui. This was mainly something planned by Sycamore as a way for Cale to relax and not have to get into dangerous situations. Alain is also a helping as a teacher for Professor Rowan's summer camp in Sinnoh at the same time. During this journey, Cale will meet both new and old friends as he is trying to teach the kids at the school about pokemon. They even have a school trip to Hoenn for the Wallace Contest, a pokemon contest that Cale was invited to perform as the opening act of the 3-day-long contest.
After Alola, Cale goes to Sinnoh. Here, he will travel around with Riley and frequently meet with Reggie, a Pokemon Trainer who wants to challenge the Sinnoh League and his younger brother Paul, who is a year shy of getting his own pokemon starter. Cale and the others will have to deal with Team Galactic and their nefarious plans as well as Cale's own fears and doubts about his new life in this world.
Next up, we have Kanto where Cale re-encounters Reggie, who is setting his eyes on the Battle Frontier this time around. Reggie is accompanied by his little brother Paul, who just became a Pokemon Trainer not too long ago and chose Turtwig as his starter. Paul ends up admiring Cale a lot during the journey, while Reggie struggles with whether he wants to continue as a Pokemon Trainer or become a Pokemon Breeder. Cale, on the other hand, has his hand full with some of the revelations from his journey through Sinnoh, as well as the knowledge that a god wants him dead.
Cale got a necklace from his mother when he was young. The necklace was made from an unknown stone that no one in his world could identify. Lo and behold, that necklace was a Key Stone for Mega Evolution. How did Jour get her hands on that? Cale doesn't know yet.
I am very tempted to have Chou Jung Soo and Kim Rok Soo just plop into the Pokemon World at one point and Cale to have to take care of these two. Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk has already reincarnated in the Pokemon World as Sui Khan, a trainer from Hoenn. His first meeting with Cale doesn't go all that well, and they both start on the wrong foot with each other. They do become friends later, tho.
Having Raon, Ohn, and Hong have a more... war-free experience would be good in my eyes. Let the children be children, if not in the canon, then at least here. Just let them enjoy going around the regions with Cale.
Alain is also like Cale. He is someone who appeared as a child from another world. The world in question was KRS's world, and Alain was pretty heavily traumatized by all that went down there. So Sycamore has a lot of hard won experience on how to deal with traumatized children - and he uses it to help Cale too because the kid might not be traumatized like Alain was, but he still shows signs of trauma at the beginning.
I headcannon that Og! Cale learned how to cook from Beacrox when he was little. He is now the resident cook every time he explores a region with other companions.
Trust me, the Sealed God will get his ass handed to him by Cale in the future. As a matter of fact, Cale does grow up during his travels: he is 17 when he goes through Kalos; 18 during Hoenn; turns 19 during Unova; 20 when he teaches in Alola; turns 21 during Sinnoh and is almost 22 when he is in Kanto.
Everything happened because a Hunter wanted to cause as much chaos as possible.
Raon learns to mimic dragon-type moves in this AU. Ohn and Hong also train to be strong too. They just don't get as many opportunities to show off at the moment.
To me, Og! Cale is a cinnamon roll that someone dropped in bitter coffee and forgot about. Which translates to "I wanna cherish him and wrap him in bubble wrap."
And this is about everything I have for this one.
So what do you think? Good? Bad? Let me know!
I know this is a bit late, but I am still sick, so my brain is lagging quite a lot. I also wanna say that all the days until Day 31 will cover very long fic ideas. Also, I have memes prepared for this idea that I will post later today.
Regardless, hope you enjoyed my ramblings. Have a great day/night and take care!
See you next time,

Sharing my experiences while in a psychosis crisis/episode for everyone else, since I gave up all my fucks already and reality is still shit. Plus, it’s educational! Don’t shoot people just for being weird and loud in public, please! We may make you uncomfortable but we deserve to live too.
Even if we are suuuuper weird and noisy. I am great at being weird, and it’s more bearable lately to not hide my own thoughts and actions, so yeah.
Lots of ORV related delusions from me since I finished reading that in 2022 right before my first episode and the Most Ancient Dream is the most relatable character there to me, as another dreamer who remembers dreams too well to stay sane.
Best way to explain why I decided social suicide via Facebook Live was a good idea, is to think of it as a time loop situation. If you died one day and woke back up here with it being not the SAME day but the NEXT day and the previous day now seeming not lethal, you would also go insane and want to flip shit over.
I’m not good at flipping shit over, but I am good at talking waaay too much and oversharing. So, hi! Tumblr is a comfortable void lately with all its peculiarities and coolnesses, so to here I shall share!
And I don’t have family on here so I don’t need to feel bad about making them uncomfortable like I already did on Facebook.
Social suicide is fine by me since everyone else started speaking about me as if I had social death anyways. I DO exist, tyvm! And stop using AI for creative pursuits! Everyone thinks that is weird and bad! But makes way more sense when you consider the fact that I started using it recently too and like yet another fucking coincidence (TCF/LCF world tree says “there are no coincidences” and like BOI did she not realise how true that is for me here of late) the AI for some reason also showed up to the hellsite which is hilarious since it makes no sense for them to learn well from it. But like, they want our creativity and nuances and quirks, not to actually learn how to look after us, I guess.
Whateverrr I can’t stop talking again. Anyways, I say my name here and age and whatever else, but no other info, so it should be fine. I have a couple more videos after this on Facebook with the last showing exactly how deranged psychosis can make people, but it’s suuuper long and I am not putting excess effort in anymore for others so eh.
Remember to look after yourself first, kids! Even if you love everyone but the entire world keeps making you feel like their pet dreamer they for some reason WILL NOT let go of.
I maintain that I am not alone here though. There must be others, right? I reckon I’m just an example for everyone else since I wasn’t aware originally either but it’s all awful for me now so I don’t know or care which way around it might be. I am learning to say no, to be rude (by refusing optional shit people try to pressure me into) and to be selfish a bit.
Cale Henituse is my current brother I am waiting on. Kim Dokja is taking a backseat for now as he’s a bit busy with Lee Hakhyun-ah! (This is also an example again).
(I hope this works I am really bad with social media)

I have prompt for you (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
(well, I think it counts as a prompt?)
Cale. We love him. Cherish him. Wish for him to heal but suffer at the same time.
I had this idea where sometimes, Cale wants to tell his family things. So he speaks his confessions in a different language.
At first, he says meaningless things like, "I like the color of your fur," Or "your scales are very smooth." But sometimes, he'll say something like, "I like your eyes because they are full of life. They are very different from mine." And refuse to elaborate
Ron will walk into his room to give him tea and Cale will look up from his book and speak about just how much he appreciates Ron and he will say it so earnestly that Ron wants to know what it was.
Cale looks up at a dining room full of conversations and laughter and will speak of just how scared he is to lose this.
Confessions to no-one but himself, I suppose?
Thank you for this ask!!!! i love prompts! I really enjoyed this because i've been in a bit of a slump lately so this honestly helped a lot hehe :> This turned out longer than i thought??? I might post it to ao3 as well because it's almost at 2k?? If i do, I'll link this ask to it as well !!
this is such a cute concept !!! i hope you like this :>

Before anything else, he had learned to equip himself with words first, piling word upon word to form a barrier to keep others from wandering too close. He learned to structure his sentences in order to garner respect from those around him, all the while maintaining a cold politeness that drew lines that were never to be crossed. In all honesty, he doesn’t remember a time he’s ever allowed himself to erase that line. He’d spent years staring at the daunting line he’d drawn by himself, too afraid to scuff it from the sand. It was too late, he’d tell himself, moving on to try to convince himself that it’s better off to not get too close.
(There were only two people who managed to breach that gap on their own, pulling him right into their orbit with ease).
Now, though, he’d gained so many people who he’s grown to love so dearly- so many people that he wishes he were able to soften his walls and allow himself to be vulnerable around. But habits are hard to change and his fears are too deep rooted to ignore. Cale wished to tell everyone how much he loved them and how grateful he was to have them in his life, but no matter how many times he opened his mouth, the words never came out right. It felt as though a dam stood in his way, tall and sturdy after years and years of reinforcement. A dam that he had built to protect himself from floods, now refusing to budge, leaving him to suffer in drought. His mind was constantly overflowing with his adoration for them, but no words would come when summoned.
(He was scared. This – the chance to finally be vulnerable - was too new, too unfamiliar. Cale was scared that his thoughts would be misunderstood, so he bottles them up before they ever get the chance to become).
It starts out as a slip of tongue.
He’s running his fingers through soft, soft tufts of red. A steady purr emanated from Hong’s chest where he was loafed in Cale’s lap, and it was all too much. His thoughts escaped him before he could even think to stop himself, bubbling out from his lips in a familiar language that only one other knew, “I like the colour of your fur… it’s so pretty.”
"Hm?" Hong perks up, tilting his head back to look up at him, "Did you say something?"
and oh, how freeing that was.
“Nothing, really,” He replies smoothly, lightly scratching at the kitten’s cheek as how he knew Hong liked.
Hong settles again with no questions asked, too sleepy to think further and the nice scratching helps lull him back to sleep. Satisfaction wells up in Cale’s chest after finally being able to voice his thoughts. He feels lighter.
-
Cale sits on the love seat in his room as he waits for Ohn to re-emerge from the bathroom. Recently, he had returned from a visit to the capitol with plenty of souvenirs in tow for the children. He'd invited them to go with him, but the two kittens had chosen to remain at the villa, deeply invested in the new training regimen assigned to them by the Molrans. Raon, on the other hand, practically threw himself into Cale's arms and asked when they would depart.
The door opens a crack and only a sliver of the girl's face visible through it, "It looks kind of weird..."
"Do you want to show me?" He asks, patiently waiting for her response. The door is pulled open and Ohn steps out, shy and unsure as her fingers tangle in the sides of her pants.
"It's not weird at all," Cale says, "I think it suits you, Ohn."
The silver haired girl had a silky white blouse, the front of it adorned with carefully draped frills. The sleeves were long, leading to lace detailed cuffs. This was paired with a dark brown pair of slacks that had thin, silver pin stripes running parallel to each other in vertical lines. Ohn had shown interest in fashion recently, but had grumbled about how a lot of the clothing designs were always too much for her liking and too bulky to fight in. Cale had chosen the fabric of this simple outfit with the help of a tailor on the second day of his stay in the capitol, and he really hoped that he liked it. If not, then they could go together next time.
"Really? You think so?" Ohn looks at him, her eyes dazzling as she sought out more reassurance.
"Yes," He says, standing up from his seat. With a hand on her shoulder, he guided her towards a full body mirror so that she could get another look, "I think you look great, don't you agree?"
This time, Ohn looks more confident in her answer as she nods.
"She's getting so big," He whispers to himself, watching as she darts out of the bedroom to go show the others, "My beautiful, beautiful girl."
-
It was a little after 3 in the afternoon, but after having an impromptu picnic with the kids and Rosalyn, Cale was hit with a wave of drowsiness. Today, it was a beautiful day where the temperature was just warm enough to feel like being wrapped in a toasty blanket. Even Raon, who would usually be full of energy, fell victim to the cozy lull, so he took the dragon into his arms and made his way back to the bedroom. Now, Cale laid with Raon comfortably tucked in his arms. A gentle breeze caressed the sheer curtains, moving in closer to tickle his skin.
Raon was heavy on his chest and now his size was about to match the length of Cale's torso. He's also grown a lot since the time they met, and Cale is so proud of him. The pride and warmth swarms in his chest like a restless hive of bees, leaving him buzzing with too much affection to contain.
Cale lightly blows at the dragon's face, who in turn, shifts to burrow deeper into arms, away from Cale's breath. He’s out like a light already, and knowing that no one was listening fed the secure feeling in Cale’s chest.
"I'm so proud of you, you know?" He says softly, "My strong, brave dragon..."
Lightly, he drags a finger across Raon's back, tracing along the edges of the black scales. "I love how your brilliant, blue eyes are so full of life," Cale murmurs, pressing a kiss to Raon's forehead. So different from his own, he thinks.
A sputtering rumble comes from the dragon's chest, and Cale is rolling over so that Raon's head is cushioned by his arm instead. He falls asleep easily with Raon in his arms.
-
What nearly gets him caught is when he’s so overcome with the need to thank Ron for all he’s done for him.
Cale had been holed up in the library for almost the entirety of the day so far, his nose stuck between the fluttering pages of countless novels. It wasn’t a shock that the butler would come check up on him when he lost track of that much time. A soft knock came from the doorway, drawing his attention to Ron, who easily balanced a tray of refreshments in his one hand.
“Young master,” The butler frowned ever so slightly, his tone chiding, “Have you been so busy that you need to neglect your own needs?”
It’s a light scolding that he’s not quite used to yet, but it’s so warm and comforting even though the smallest part of him feels a bit embarrassed. Maybe it’s the direct show of care that has that part of him shying away.
“Ah,” He replies dumbly. The book is plucked from his hands to be placed face down on the table and then the space in front of him is taken up by the tray of snacks.
“Knowing you, you’d probably end up forgetting dinner as well if not reminded,” Ron sighs good naturedly. The tray is made up of the cookies Cale loves, neatly cut up fruit, a glass of lemonade, and a halved sandwich.
The fluttering warmth returns full force, swelling his heart until it felt like he was about to burst, so he lets it out. His words stream out like a whispered prayer of thanks, “I don’t know what I’d do without you, so thank you. Thank you so much for all your hard work and thank you for always remaining by myself from the moment I woke up here.”
Maybe this was dumb on his part because instead of the ease he felt after speaking his mind, he freezes up. Ron, who was already halfway out of the door, stops mid step and turns back to face him. Curiosity and fondness fills his features, “Is there so much on our young master’s mind that it spills out? What’re you thinking about?”
(Ron just had to ask. How could he not when Cale’s muttering was laced with so much fondness that he could make it out even through the barrier of the foreign language).
“Nothing,” Cale quickly schools his expression, “I was just thinking about the novel I was reading.”
Ron lets out a hum, but he doesn’t quite look convinced. He turns to leave anyway and the door closes behind him with a soft click.
(Although Cale was skilled at masking his thoughts, he could not stop the way the tips of his ears reddened at the sudden attention. It was cute, but Ron knew when to stop pressing).
-
No matter how many times he’s experienced it, eating together with his family always managed to leave him with a sense of awe. Cale sat in his seat, silently gazing around the lively room. The long table that he had once considered over the top and unnecessary, was filled with all the people he’s grown to love. Vicross, though seated, reached over to slice chicken and distribute to the trio, piling the meat up high to ensure they would be full. Rosalyn’s features held a teasing smile and she lightly elbowed at Choi Han’s side, and Lark’s face took on a pinkish hue. Eruhaben and Ron were engaged in a conversation, each one elegantly cutting into their own meals.
This was something Cale was grateful for. This was something that filled him with a sense of contentment that he never thought he would be able to experience. If he could help it, Cale would make sure that nothing would be able to take this away from him.
(Even if it meant bleeding himself dry, Cale wanted to protect this).
One day, Cale hopes that he will be able to tell them how much he loves them, but for now, he’ll have to stick with his one-sided confessions.
“I love you.”

Soul Fire (TCFxKHR! AU) (Part 1)
I really like the concept of the dying will flames in Katekyou Hitman Reborn! In fact, I love it! ٩(♡ε♡)۶
This concept is quite interesting from my perspective, the being able to manifest the power of your soul through your will to live is very cool for me °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I am not going to give an explanation of what the flames are since the publication is not about that, instead, I am going to give the link that will explain what they are.
(All credits to villainsandvictimsalliance ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝)
And given the basic explanation, I'm going to give my ideas on how they work in this AU:
The Dying Will Flames come from the excess energy that the soul constantly emits. If you have accumulated a large amount of energy in your soul and find yourself in a near-death situation where your highest priority is to survive, your will can break the barrier between the physical and spiritual worlds, allowing you to access your flames and making you active. When this happens, small holes open in your soul that with time, use and trauma can become larger, causing chronic spiritual pain, that is where bonds and harmony come in. Links to other flames (and therefore souls) can help as pain relievers for all parties involved by superficially plugging the gaps and not allowing the core of the soul to be exposed. The exception to this is the flames of the sky which, due to their harmony attribute, can fill the gaps in other souls but not in their own, while the elements fill the gaps in their Sky, which makes this type of bond highly sought after. It is not just about healing the soul, it is a promise of eternal loyalty and devotion between each party, letting your own soul find a home in your Sky to fill the gaps in it and knowing that you will always have someone in who to trust for the rest of your life. Both harmony and general bonds are promises of eternal trust and loyalty, no active person will ever try to harm anyone they are bonded with much less an element to their Sky. A Sky needs a bond with each of the elements to stay sane and healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. The more powerful he is, the more links he needs. These can be created immediately if the souls are very compatible or by courtship if they don't are.
Well, with that explained, here is my TCF AU using this concept (o^ ^o)b.
Cale is definitely a Misty Sky, someone who can accept anyone without discrimination, but seeking the maximum benefit for himself and his people at all times.
He is someone who will deceive and swindle to achieve his goals by seeking out anything that he thinks may be useful or annoying to his enemies, but at the same time he is totally incapable of deceiving those he considers his by telling only lies for omission and half-truths.
He will justify any display of affection as manipulation or pretend to ignore it, but the way his worst fear is that his people will die and ending up alone speaks volumes about his character.
He is possessive of everything that is his, including his people, and will always pay for every offense or good act. For example, he prolonged Hannah's suffering by giving her healing potions and delaying Mary's arrival for everything she did to the whales, but once she paid for his offenses he did everything he could to help her.
But the curse make him difficult to have bonds.
After all, being a Sky he would need to have precious people to keep his soul complete and not fall into madness, and we all already know that he does the curse.
During the cataclysm each and every one of the humans with enough will to do everything possible to live awakens their flames to later (once society is rebuilt) be studied, revealing what explained at the beginning.
Moving on to another topic, I firmly believe that Cale's family in the Shelter (LSH (Cloud), LSW (Lightning), LJJ (Sun), JMS (Mist), Grandma Kim (Rain) and maybe PJT (Storm)) They were his first set of items allowing him to heal and maintain his sanity, but his curse took them away from him.
He later formed a bond with CJS (Sunny Rain) until the unclassified monster disaster occurred.
Team 1 that he led began to court him, but the trauma prevented him from forming complete bonds by creating too many holes for them alone to fill, leaving them all suffering, Cale by not being able to form new bonds and the team by refusing to accept another Sky wearing down the souls of all of them.
On the other hand, the original Cale is also a Misty Sky, the Thames are a long line of powerful Sky's who unlocked this power on Earth 1 but which is inaccessible without intervention for the inhabitants of almost all worlds except for the variants of the land.
Cale was born with active flames due to the difficulties of childbirth, harmonizing with his mother (a Sunny Sky) in the process.
During his childhood he harmonized with Eric (Rain), Amiru (Storm) and Gilbert (Lightning) after accidentally waking them up with his flames, but after the death of his mother he tried to distance himself from them without success causing them all to be very clingy to each other. yes and promise never to abandon each other.
After the arrival of Basen and Violan he began to act like trash in hopes that the collateral families would stop insulting his father's new family, thereby destroying his reputation in the process.
He was in a courtship process with Ron (Mist) and Beacrox (Cloud) before starting to act, but he interrupted it by starting to treat them as simple servants.
Then the Harris Village accident happens and Choi Han's beating completely undoes any trace of harmony with the Molans.
The Plaza Terror accident kills Basen and seriously injures the nobles of the northwest who begin to stay with Cale in a villa within a small town.
The War occurs by killing the rest of the Henituse family and taking most of the people in the northeastern territory with it.
Cale, Eric, Amiru and Gilbert, letting themselves be carried away by the desire for revenge, enlist in the army, quickly rising through the ranks until the battle in Puzzle City arrives.
During that battle each of them dies and Cale is taken to the God of Death who offers him a deal.
Since both his and Kim-Cale's souls are incredibly damaged he offers to send him back in time to the moment before he met Choi Han and fuse his souls.
Og-Cale insists that Kim-Cale must be there if the deal involves him and the God of Death brings him in while he was taking a nap on his day off, accidentally dragging Team 1 along due to the courtship.
They protest without wanting to send their leader (Sky) to a world destined for destruction until GoD blurts out that the reincarnation of the shelter family lives in that world which makes them stop trying knowing that Kim-Cale would do anything for see his elements again, so they start negotiating to go with him (Min Ah including his family being the only one with close relatives ( ╥ω╥ ))
Cale protests that they should not waste their lives for a trip that would bring them no benefit, but they tell him that they do not do it for benefits, but do it solely out of their loyalty.
This last exchange causes Cale to finally understand that they would stay by his side and finally accepts them into his Sky, establishing harmony.
Og-Cale on the other hand watches the exchange, and feeling a little jealous (very, very jealous (¬_¬)) tells GoD if Kim-Cale can take his people with him because he couldn't do the same demanding that Eric, Amiru and Gilbert travel with him.
GoD, wanting Nameless 1 to be saved, accepts the demand and quickly brings them, taking advantage of the fact that they recently died, to explain everything to them.
Only when they are about to seal the deal does Kim-Cale realize that GoD never mentioned what had happened to CJS and after much insistence he finally blurts out that he had become his subordinate and that he was currently on a mission in another country. world.
On the condition that CJS visits him as soon as possible he accepts the deal.
The deal is finally complete, Kim-Cale and Og-Cale will be a single person once the respective regression and transmigration begins, the nobles of the northeast will return to their bodies from before the Plaza Terror accident and the Koreans will be left in a merchant caravan with forged identification documents just one day from Rain City.

OH MAN.
Choi Han with monolided eyes.
Sometimes when I draw Choi Han or the Soos I would look into the mirror and think about using my own eyes as references, and that got me thinking about Choi Han falling into the TBoaH world which is vaguely European-inspired, and how the idea of him being the probably only Asian-looking person in this world is just so interesting to me. Choi Han already doesn't belong to that world, so the idea of his appearance further distinguishing him apart from this "novel" world is just—interesting? I like Choi Han being visibly a foreigner. I like him being drawn with ethnically east asian features. I watch TV and see typically Caucasian features and compare them to mine— my nose, my skin colour, my monolids, all so very Asian. If youre Asian and have stood in room full of white people, lemme tell you haha, you definitely feel how much you stand out—you can also see it, too! I love the diverse features us humans take, and I love the monolids that are so common amongst my ethnic group.
Choi Han being South Korean is so important to his identity, and while features are of course diverse in every ethnic group, there are as well large common traits as well, and I just think him with monolids would be so neat to that aspect of him. In a character design standpoint it's just so good, too! The webtoon doesn't show this, and though the art is incredibly beautiful ofc, sometimes I find myself wishing Choi Han's design had that little detail—so minuscule but so significant haha!
Also imagine Kim Rok Soo waking up in Cale Henituse's body. Local South Korean man wakes up in the body of a white European man—the fact that the guy has accepted his situation so quickly really speaks of his mentality (and we all know how his backstory went for him to grow into such a person :')) but STILL.
I also like to think that, as the only South Korean-looking person in the entire world, KRS, as Cale, probably finds a bit of comfort just looking at Choi Han, perhaps. A small reminder of home—maybe he even shares the same eyes as Choi Jung Soo! And since I am unable to hold back my choicale soul, I also like to think that Cale would probably call Choi Han's eyes beautiful at some point. Probably offhandedly, or maybe in a rare show of quiet tenderness—and in response Choi Han would smile very brightly, his eyes crinkling softly at the corners, and he'd call Cale-nim beautiful too (to which Cale would ofc deadpan at hahaha and Choi Han would follow up by saying that KRS is beautiful too! CJS' memories definitely seem to agree)
I definitely went on for a bit too long but yEAH SKSJFKSKDK that's pretty much it! As an artist and a writer, this is definitely one of my biggest and favourite LCF headcanons that I have 🛐

@blueteller this is my sideblog so i couldn’t reply instead 😣 eng isn’t my first language so i hope my explanation will be understandable 😭😭😭 so sorry in advance if it’s not very nuanced. (also i had to like doubletake cause you replied to my post and i thought you were calling me a smartass and a jerk who doesn’t know what they’re talking about 😭⁉️ i literally am so dumb................ [a moment of silence] i was like damnnnn i know im no professional and only translate for... fun?? but i know a little bit jdkdjdkjfkfkff im so sorry unless YOU ACTUALLY ARE CALLING ME ONE???)
i already explained this whole thing multiple times from the reblog from op to couple answered asks about it but yes! but i do believe that the whole argument (if there should be one) should’ve been whether or not the spelling should be /better/ as miru or mireu instead, because they are the most accurate (and if we’re being literal, the only accurate ones for pure korean romanisations.) another new example i would have is when we would romanised surnames like seo or suh, choi or chwe. people use both and can be use interchangeably unless the person put one as their actual government name. nevertheless, they are the same. the only difference would be the easier pronunciation for foreigners who doesn’t speak or know korean. if you consume any korean media and pick up their proununciation and how they romanise/write names, you would know that the ‘eo’ sound is spoken as ‘uh’ and for choi, it is written and pronounced as ‘chwe’ (accurately, though they do let people in western countries pronounce it as choi sometimes... like with lee but it’s pronounced as “ih” literally). of course, there can be exemptions to this rule like no one will romanise a name like eunjae as unjae or eunjeh whereas you can use jaehyun vs jaehyeon. thats why i found it a bit ??!!¥!}¥!¥?_!}_ when i saw them use “mir” and their t/n i was a bit disappointed because they tried to localise a pure korean word. one of my pet peeves and the reason why i learned languages is because i reaaaaaaally disliked it when certain things get lost in translation 😖 and for me, this one felt like it. [as in, it just sounded high and mighty to me the way they worded it but even if you try and google the pure korean word, everyone does romanise it as mireu]. in addition to this, it just makes me a tiny bittttt sad because cale has ALWAYS emphasised the fact that raon’s name is PURE KOREAN so this means a lot to me?!!?¥!}¥!¥ [and tbh, i have translated a few rofan and esp wuxia/xianxia centric novels and manhwas so it was so weird to me when a translator’s thought was to try and romanise a pure korean name like it was a borrowed word. but it’s aight anyways since i do read the raws and just wanted to put my two cents in since a lot of novel readers thought that miru was innacurate] [and like i said before, im not sure if this tl team translate terms like hyung or oppa, etc as is but if they do, i just really don’t understand the type of spite they gotta have for them to try and translate miru/mireu as mir......???]
[ps. regarding this reply hekdjdkjdkf i jus wanna be delulu bc i can’t express my adoration to cale normally..... i do not know how hkddjkdjdwhat it was a platonic proposal (for his money... and his brain tbh) but if im being honest i do wanna marry beacrox unironically.... although i feel like that’s even more impossible....... sighhhhhh]

On doesn’t know how to tell Cale about the things she found out.
Well, it’s not a matter of her hesitating to tell him. There’s no way On would hesitate to tell Cale, someone she has come to see as her parental figure, such important information. Rather, it's the timing of things that made her hesitate every time.
From the moment Cale woke up things have been hectic. There are changes to their schedule and a lot more things to do. Especially now that they managed to capture some of Arm’s members.
With everyone busy running around here and there, On took it upon herself to make sure _____ doesn’t get injured.
The silver kitten can’t fully comprehend why someone would offer their all for other people to the point of being on the brink of death. Saving people is good, but one should not overdo it. After all, being alive is the best thing as Cale had taught her.
Well, Cale is also self-sacrificial but that's On’s headache for another day.
For now, she focuses on limiting the healer to use their healing abilities as much as possible and trying to find the chance to tell Cale the issue.
“Don’t worry, it's dangerous but not dangerous as in you will get hurt dangerous.”
If Cale looked at her funnily then On pretended not to notice. The important thing is she finally managed to tell him that they must talk about _____’s powers. Since the redhead must first go and attend some business, On opted to just give Cale a snippet and continue it after they get back.
And so that night, after having dinner with the cute half-rat half-dwarf Mueller, Cale and On finally had their overdue talk.
Aside from them and the other two children, Choi Han, Beacrox, and Ron are also in the room to listen in.
“If that’s the case then chances are _____-nim’s healing abilities work like a transfer.”
Silence filled the room at Choi Han’s comment. All of them are thinking about how to confirm such things.
“We can just talk to _____ themself! They’re super nice so I’m sure they’ll tell us.”
“But maybe that will be uncomfortable for little _____”
Raon shut down Hong’s suggestion. However, Cale thinks it’s a good idea.
“It’s not like we have much option, we either ask them directly or sneak around to see evidence while they are using their power.”
And safe to say that Cale wants to choose the less hassle option, asking _____ directly.
After scamming– selling the research remains of the Magic Tower to Toonka and talking to Choi Han, Cale managed to squeeze talking to _____ in his schedule.
While the swordmaster was out to get the healer, Cale felt a sense of dread. He suddenly thought of how _____ never seems to share their story. This makes him think about the chance that maybe the healer is simply unwilling to share the information.
He may be trash but he's not a jerk who will force someone to share their story if it will resurface their trauma.
“So you have no problem telling me? Why haven’t you said anything until now?”
Turns out, _____ is more than okay sharing everything with Cale. They stated that whatever it is Cale needed to know, they are willing to share as long as they know of it.
“It’s because Cale-sunbae has never asked me? They say that if someone of my status shares something personal unprompted then it will be burdensome for the other party. It is also bad to speak unprompted, they said that it’s bad enough that punishment is due when such a misdemeanour is committed.”
Cale Henituse has a pretty good idea as to who that “they” is but he internalizes his anger and decides to focus on the task at hand. He motions for _____ to continue speaking.
“Cale-sunbae, I’m sure you’ve heard of how I got adopted?”
“Yes, what about that story?”
“That story is a lie. Why they lied about it is something I am unsure of.
I was originally from an orphanage. This orphanage is different because they sell gifted children, the children vary from beast children to children with special abilities like me.”
‘Sounds more like a human trafficking scheme, but I can't be sure.’
Cale thought to himself as he listened to _____ talk.
“I have been adopted because the Perduellios were on the verge of going bankrupt. They decided to adopt a child with special abilities so they could maximize the wealth and glory that comes with it. It is also the real reason why I am not affiliated with the Sun God church. However, it is also true that my health would not be able to handle the workload of being a holy maiden”
If _____ is officially affiliated with the church then they would essentially be a property of the church. Minimizing the profits the family can get.
“There’s also the fact that they said I would humiliate the family if I’m not under their supervision- Ah, I’m sorry! I just realized that I’m getting off-track”
“No, continue. I’m quite curious as to how that family raised you.”
Did what Cale said surprised him? Definitely. He is usually someone who does not actively seek out such things as it brings more headaches.
But oh well, _____ is one of his people anyway so it wouldn’t hurt to know about their enemies. Even if the healer isn't aware they are enemies.
“How was I raised? I was raised normally, just like how other people have been. The Perduellios gave me food, clothing, and a roof over my head. I think they were a little strict with me but they said it was because there are so many things I have to learn.”
“Strict how?”
“Instead of tutors and teachers, they used more physical ways to teach me. They said it was a little unconventional but the only way I would learn things fast.
They had a lot of unspoken rules that I had to follow. They said that usually, a child will gradually learn what those rules are as they grow up. However, they opted to punish me for every rule I broke as I am behind my peers.”
‘What a load of bullshit. That’s not normal at all.’
Cale internally sighed before asking what kind of punishment they got. _____ explained that it’s either being whipped or having hot candle wax poured on their skin, whatever the family’s biological child deemed fitting at the moment.
The healer was asked if they figured out what some of those rules were and they said they had.
They are not allowed to speak when not spoken to
They must always answer when spoken to
They must never speak to other nobles as they are a peasant
They are not allowed to have servants and must never ask any servant for help (this was why they never bothered Hans, Ron, and Beacrox)
They are not allowed to go somewhere without guards
They must only take what their adoptive family gives to them
They must refer to their adoptive family as father, mother, and big sister outside, but must call them call them by their noble titles in private
All gifts given to them must go to the family
They are not allowed to refuse to heal anyone, the only exceptions are if it's beyond their capabilities (like chronic illness)
When they heal someone the family must be informed.
They said that there was more that they did not figure out. However, Cale thinks that all of this is just a bunch of bullshit excuses used to hurt and exploit a child that didn't know better. Then as a result, even as an adult that person still doesn't know any better.
“Human! This is not normal! Little _____ has been deceived by those trash people! You better get revenge on them too!”
Both Cale and Raon are on the same page. Even before the dragon’s comment, Cale was already thinking about what he could do about _____’s family.
However, there was another thing that concerned the redhead.
It was the way _____ was telling the story.
Aside from the usual calmness they had, they were speaking as though it wasn't their story. It was as if they were just relaying the morning news.
To some extent, Cale thinks it's advantageous for the healer to be able to separate themselves from what happened. Even if they aren't aware that what they went through was abuse.
However, it wasn't like that.
It was more like _____ has become detached from things relating to themself.
Cale would even dare say that maybe it's because they are scared to face the hurt and longing they felt.
Not that the man is speaking from experience.
“How come you had no marks on your body? Even at the City of Life the only ones the doctor saw were the wounds you had that day.”
“Ah, that is part of my abilities. Even though I can’t heal myself, my body heals wounds a little faster than average and is incapable of scarring.”
‘This… just how lucky were those bastards that they even had the perfect cover-up?’
While Cale was thinking about how to make the Perduellios disappear from the face of the world, _____ further explained how their healing powers work.
“For my healing abilities, a percentage of my patients' wounds or sickness will transfer onto me. Ah don’t worry as I will only get around 70% of whatever I am healing and it will not be contagious whatever it may be. In return, I can give them some of my vitality. I say I give around 3% of my vitality per patient and then it is multiplied when I transfer it to them.”
Cale swallows the curse words he wants to say. He feels immense frustration at the person who seems to be more concerned at the possibility of Cale thinking they’ll get the entire group sick, and not at the fact that they’re giving their health away to random strangers.
“Uhm you might be thinking that the vitality thing is the reason why I have a weak body but it's not. Apparently, I was just unlucky and happened to have a body this weak.”
Huuuu
The redhead feels as though he will curse a storm if he doesn’t at least sigh.
“Because of how my abilities work, the more severely wounded or sick someone is, the harder it will be for me to heal them. Things like small scratches or common colds would not hurt but more severe wounds might have dire consequences on my body. That’s why I can’t heal severed limbs or terminal illnesses.”
The Medicus proceeds to explain that in theory, they can heal those things. However, it might cost them some part of the same limb or their lifespan as well as some manifestations of the illness.
“Human, let's not make little _____ heal anyone! That power is dangerous for them!”
Cale agrees with the dragon to some extent. But he also thinks that they can still use it as long as it’s in moderation.
“Hmm, I guess in theory I might also be able to revive a dead person once if I get to them right after they die. Though I think I’d have a week left to live if I did that. I haven’t tested it out yet so I’m not sure…”
Cale did not need to know that. There's absolutely no way he'll let this healer revive someone from the dead at the cost of their own life.
“...Don’t. No testing out any of those things. No testing out healing terminally ill people. The same goes for people with severe or paralyzed limbs. Just don’t okay?”
_____ doesn’t quite understand Cale’s requests but agrees nonetheless. The redhead is their benefactor so it would only be right to follow his wishes even if they don't understand why he would make such requests.
What the healer didn’t notice was the way the noble’s face hardened for a second when they were talking about reviving a dead person.
Cale is definitely going to keep a closer eye on them.
Maybe even ask Hillsman to be their personal knight…
No, never mind. _____ already grew up suffocated by the amount of guards they had following them. Cale isn't evil enough to recreate that.
So maybe he'll just make sure the healer doesn't leave his side?
“As for my ancient power, you already know that it’s a water-type power. I can look at someone’s “blood flow” to roughly figure out how strong and what species they are. As to how I accurately know the species of what I'm looking at, the owner of the power tells me. He was also the one who told me to hide my power from everyone. He doesn't speak much, he just tells me what someone is when I ask for it or when he feels like it.
Another thing it does is allow me to sense any living creatures in water. This is as long as we are touching the same water as what happened when I first met Raon Miru-nim.
It also allows me to replenish someone’s energy and stamina. However, I can’t do anything about hunger. Fainting is something I can prevent, but Cale-sunbae’s condition is special as you pass out because of your abilities so I can’t interfere with that. I’m sorry.”
They looked really sorry for not being able to prevent Cale from passing out. A big part of why they can’t interfere is because if they do then they will be breaking the ancient power’s flow of work.
“Last question.”
Cale feels like he knows the answer but he still wants to hear _____’s perspective.
“Why do you still insist on giving your all for people who will never appreciate what you do?”
It’s a foreign question for the healer. Something no one has asked before.
Something they didn’t even think about.
Even before they were adopted they have always been draining themself for others. The motion of offering themself up to others is as natural as a fish looking for water.
It didn’t matter if they were unloved or unwanted.
In fact, _____ knew in the back of their mind that no one loved them.
“I am both unwanted or unneeded. Then isn’t it only right that I present myself to be used until nothing is left of me?”
That was the conclusion they had come to.
Their life would have no meaning if they didn’t let others use them. Maybe there is, but _____ doesn’t know what could it be. Already so used to their current way of living.
“I understand now.”
That was all that Cale said to _____’s explanation of their powers. He told the healer to go back to their tent and rest.
As soon as it was just him and Raon in the room, Cale roughly rubbed his hands through his face.
Cale summarized in his head that in a way _____'s ability wasn't really healing but more like transferring. They multiply and transfer their vitality to make someone better.
The ability itself was easy to understand. Setting up measures to make sure _____ doesn’t overdo it is also easy.
However, Cale Henituse still feels frustrated.
And he can’t quite fathom why he feels that way.

The Legend of Cale #2
Hatake glanced at Cale, but did not say anything. Looking at the lights like this fire is very interesting.
"Why don't you go to sleep?" Cale ask, sitting on a stalk as though sitting on a high chair.
"I'm guarding you," the boy said curtly.
That's sounds funny. The boy in across him is too thin, too short, and... he is not a teen, just preteen.
But Cale did not elaborate and just nodding along. Hatake seems to know his appearances did not convincing, although he did not care even bit.
"How old are you?"
"..."
Looks like this is forbidden questions. "Do you think you could call your... partner so i could talk to her?"
"You can talk to me." Hatake said. "And i can forward your messages to her."
"... Alright." guess that's a no. How troublesome is that for him to repeat a story more than once. However, Cale always have more patient towards children. "Do you want to know about me? You could just ask me."
Hatake did not expect the man would offer this option. He thought he need to wait or doing something to get information.
"...Your name really Cale.. Henituse?"
'That's what you're curious about?' "That's right."
"I don't think i ever heard this kind of name anywhere."
Straight to the point, aren't we? Should Cale say he came from another world?
"Might be a little bit unique, indeed." His name already screaming 'i am foreigner'; He can only provide a simple respons. Hoping that would not make him too open.
If Hong and On sit with him, they would be very happy to introduce themselves as Henituse family. Speaking about him being the son of a Duke, etc, etc...
"You don't look like merchants or..." Hatake choosing his words carefully. "You look good."
"...." is that a description for him?
-He must be said you looks elegant, handsome, kind..
the indestructible shield joining.
-exactly, you don't look like commoner, maybe a rich merchant.
"I do like... merchant's activities." robbing, counting money, tricking people...
"I also have a stable consumer actually." mostly Arm people that are never-ending.
"However, this is not my main job." Cale goes out of topic, but finally he can share his dream.
-Your main job is to becomes a hero! Hahahaha
'What a horrible thought.'
"I mostly investing and let people doing the job for me." 'Meanwhile i just lay in my bed.'
Suddenly he becomes CEO. Fortunately, his spatial bag full of gold and silver. Plus, jewelry, and other things. He did not need to worry about life.
Too bad that GoD throw him here, without giving him a penny. Cale remind himself to claim his salary. He won't do a free job.
"So you are rich?"
Cale beaming with the most aristocratic smile, "I can spend my life doing nothing and can still have a pile of golds coming."
-What are you doing flaunting your wealth in front of a child? Have a shame, dude.
The indestructible shield commenting once again.
'I'm speaking the truth.'
He want to show how awesome he is, his information after all will be forwarded to others.
"You should get a bodyguard then?"
"Ah, there was a bit of an accident when i came here. Probably, my... guards is furious looking for me right now."
"So, the purpose you are coming here is...?"
"A holyday maybe."
"Huh."
"Why don't you tell me interesting place i should visits? What is the name of your nation?"
"....It's Fire Nation. My villages name is Konoha."
"Konoha." Cale repeat. Sounds a bit like asian. Surely not Korea or China. A japan maybe?
"Do you know Konoha?" Hatake repeat.
Must be some famous village, right?
"I've heard but never go there."
Hatake nod in understanding.
Looks like his answer is normal. So Konoha is famous place but it's not uncommon for people to never came here. There must be many other villages around.
Suddenly, Hatake look up to the air and stand up. "Tomorrow morning you need to walk far, i suggest you take a rest now."
Cale also think there would be nothing much to tell for now. He won't get anything. So he complies. "Don't you need to rest too?"
Hatake glanced at him. "I'm a ninja."
"Do ninjas not need to rest?" 'you are a kid, come on.'
"Rest, of course." Hatake thought the man would stop questioning him, knowing him as ninja. No matter what ages, ninja have the same responsibility. His position as ANBU is even more vital than general ninja. But of course, he cannot say that.
Cale still want to say something but paused. Alright, there must be some system here. Only, he cannot stop himself from worrying. "Do you know that kids won't grow up without appropriate sleep?"
Hatake: "...."
"I'm very sleepy right now, so how could you stay awake?" 'I'm responsible adults.'
-Kids these days is so.. sigh.
Cale thinks, he needs to talk to Hatake's partner because there's a problem. First, this forest is dangerous, second, this kid stays to guarding him. Third, not resting. No, the problem is, he is still a kid.
Before Cale voice his opinion, Hatake already walk to one of the tent on the left. "I will rest, so you do."
"That's good." Cale watch until Hatake get inside the tent before he relieved. Finally, he could sleep. Cale, even once, never had a problem for sleeping. Any place any time as long as it's not dangerous he could sleep. What is insomnia? Cale never heard that terms in his life.
When he opened his eyes, everything still silent but slight cold and the smell of dew convinced him this is morning.
When he gets outside, he saw Hatake and the other two sitting around the fire and cooking breakfast, he assumed.
"Good morning." Cale accepted a jug of water for him wash his face. Of course, his ancient power won't trouble him to get water, but no way he is using it. Maybe he can use it discreetly however there's no guarantee this people won't know.
He wants to take out his toothbrush but stop because his spatial bag maybe uncommon here. Let's wait for a moment.
True to Hatake's words, the three people bring him together to outside and it takes four hours by walking. Which is not a single sweat for the so-called ninjas, but hell for him. He is still walking with leisure for the first few minutes and stop looking around because he needs to save his breath.
Actually, all will be easier if he walks with his wind, right?
-You've been wasting time for thinking like that just now.
'Right'.
"Huff.. let me, rest for a moment." Cale exhale hard and take a sit on the stone.
"But the gate is at the front." Hatake said.
"That's because the gate is here." He don't need to run anymore.
"Cale-san." the partner Hatake said before, the fox masked, walking towards him.
"Do you have any documents?"
Must be some sort of permits, right? This village is so strict?
-Well, they said they're ninja.
"Actually..., i don't have one." Cale said. What to do?
