i think i remember your pandora symptoms fic was in general, canon compliant to ITWALL and tbh i have been curious, has phil ever been "sucked in" into one of dreams nightmares like techno was?? (if the "dreamon chapter is even canon to itwall of course lol)
i forgot about this headcanon! i imagined it as a part of his admin powers that he hasn't mastered yet-- a way to communicate quickly with the players on his server. i think philza would recognize it.
----------
/dsmp /rp
Dream dropped himself into the kitchen chair, letting it creak loudly under his weight. Phil didn't even know he was awake already.
The arctic had settled into a slow, soft routine; Philza was usually first to wake, and he'd start breakfast as Dream and Technoblade joined him at their own pace. This morning, he had deep pockets of purple under his eyes and he seemed unable to hold himself up. His head drifted into his hands as he sat at the time. His hair was a mess.
Philza chuckled at him. The old man hadn't slept too well, either, but he was chipper as always as he tried to make food quickly. He put a kettle on the stove to get Dream's tea started. "Mornin', mate," he said, "I guess Techno really wore you out yesterday, yeah?"
"Mm."
"I'm surprised you didn't sleep in more."
"Couldn't sleep," Dream said as he rubbed a hand groggily across his face. "I'm so sore. I don't wanna look at firewood ever again."
"Ah, nothing a warm bath and some pain meds can't fix. You must've pushed yourself too hard."
Phil continued with breakfast. He opted for bagels that morning-- it was quick and easy, and made up for lost time since he was moving slowly. He also had apples on the stove for some homemade applesauce, and it made the whole cabin smell absolutely lovely. He mixed them occasionally, checked on the bagels, and peaked over his shoulder at Dream. The poor boy was nearly falling asleep again.
He jumped when the kettle started to whistle. Phil prepared an English Breakfast tea for him in his favorite mug, with milk and sugar.
"Thanks," Dream croaked, his thin fingers wrapping around the mug, cradling it delicately in both hands. Phil watched as he raised it to his face, sniffed at the air, and moved his hair aside so he could blow cool air on the surface.
"You didn't tell me that Sam poisoned you," Philza said.
Dream froze, green eyes darting to Phil's face.
"How did you know that?"
Phil turned his attention back to the apples, turning his back. "I had an odd dream last night."
Dream put the mug down, his back straightening. "Tell me what you saw."
"A part of the prison I didn't recognize, with chairs. I saw scraps of food on a table-- all potatoes, I think, but maybe not-- and I heard Sam asking questions. About Tommy. But I-- you-- felt so sick, the room was spinning. Could barely understand the questions at all. Dream, I asked you if Quackity did all of the damage, and you said yes." "And I didn't lie. Sam didn't-- Sam didn't hurt me. Not really. None of these scars are from him." Before Philza could voice a protest, Dream continued, "Listen, I-- I'm sorry. I don't know why I keep doing this. I did it to Techno, too, I-- sometimes I can control dreams on purpose, but more often I just... force people to witness random things that I don't even want them to see. I'm really sorry, Phil. I'll try to stop."
"No, no," Phil started, "I think this explains a lot. I've seen something like this before." "You have?"
"Mm-hmm. You projected a memory to me. If you can harness this, I think you'd be able to communicate to people even when they're awake. Sounds convenient, yeah?"
A way to communicate privately. Dream liked the idea.
Phil continued, "I'm angry about what I saw, don't get me wrong. Pissed off, really. But I'm glad to have discovered this. We can work on it."
Dream ran his fingertips along the handle of the mug. The glaze was smooth and cold, and it fit inside his palms neatly. He saw Phil watching him, waiting to find out if he would drink.
He drank.

Phil and bagi hcs?
YOU HAVE JUST ENABLED A MONSTER.
I AM SO ABNORMAL ABOUT THESE TWO.
Also these will apply to AMFMN!! Because SURPRISE, if no one has checked the fic tags, her name is listed as a main character. ;) She'll be arriving in Chapter 6!! :D
I cannot fucking WAIT to expand upon their dynamic, which is funny because by the time Bagi shows up, Phil is possessed so it won't be exploration through direct interactions until the recovery period waaay later in the fic. Nonetheless it'll be hype! :D
qPhil headcanons masterlist
Phil is a member of the "Bagi can do whatever she wants forever" club. He supports her rights and wrongs and fully believes she could kick his ass no matter how unbalanced of a fight it'd be in his favor (disclaimer I don't actually know Bagi's exact pvp skill level 🤔)
Bagi is a member of the "God I want Phil to take me on a flight some day, I am so sad his wings are fucked up" club. (She would probably be terrified /pos)
I don't know what it is about their friendship but I feel like Bagi is so much more attuned to the way Phil thinks than the average islander. I guess I'd say it's because of how perceptive she is in general, especially with how she's a detective? Whatever it is, Bagi just has this talent for reading Phil like a damn book. And she won't hesitate to call him on his bullshit either. She's much like Fit in that regard. Crow man can't hide SHIT
Like fr if Phil ever gave Bagi reason to be concerned the first thing she'd do is start cornering those closest to him and either ask what's up or be like "hey Phil's on some shit rn, we gotta go force him to confess whatever stupid shit he's shouldering on his own and bottling up"
Phil has definitely been whacked with the frying pan for not venting and acting like he has to brave the horrors alone btw. Bagi's the type of friend that'll kick your fucking ass if you're not self-caring or being mean to yourself. (I am projecting LMAO)
Bagi isn't as Holy Shit We Could Die Any Second about things as Phil, but they're both very protective people, which can manifest in very volatile ways when they're hurt or angered by something (ie: Feds). I would not want to experience their individual wraths simultaneously.
Bagi is one of the top people Phil shows his gift giving love language to. Be it resources she needs, pictures he's taken of her/Em/Tina or of weird island shit, the means to complete cookie tasks, etc. She's one of the first in mind.
GOD Phil wants her to teach him how to wield a frying pan so badly. He's an excellent swordsman and bowman, but PAN?? The enjoyment he'd get out of it would be infinite, he'd love to be kicking ass while getting a laugh out of it bc pan go BONG when it hits a motherfucker.
If one needs something the other says yes no hesitation. They might ask each other a couple questions, but as soon as they have 100% clarity, they trust each other with the rest and know that if something goes wrong, whoever is present at the time will unleash hell on the person or monster that caused it.
I've somewhat already hinted at it but GOD the mutual admiration they have for each other!! Their wits and way with words, their natural sense of leadership, their determination to defend what they believe in, what they think is right, and the people they love, their specific expertise, the list goes on. They just think the other is so fucking cool and brilliant.
Tbh I think in the right circumstances they'd teach each other some lowkey fucked up tricks they have up their sleeves. Like Bagi giving Phil insight on manipulating people into giving the answers you're looking for by asking the right carefully worded questions, or Phil teaching Bagi the best spots to hit/hurt a person/mob to really do some damage just purely as a "hey if you ever find yourself in a Situation, here's a tip" thing
I don't know how better to show this without explicitly saying it: These two are not the other's fucking caretaker. Phil is not Bagi's father figure and Bagi is not Phil's mother figure. Yes, they can scold each other when the other is doing something dumb (cough, 7 hcs ago, cough). Friends do that. They support each other and call each other on their bs. That is not parenting, that's being a good friend. And they are to each other.
On that note, it hasn't come up too much yet but when shit sucks (like when the eggs were lost or lost lives), they're good at distracting each other. But like without halting the process of dealing with their emotions. If they're sad, they'll be sad together, but they're good at picking the right conversation topics to lighten the mood. If they're mad, they'll be mad together, and they'll plan what to do about it with each other.
I think I've sorta demonstrated it well enough in a couple of these hcs already but AUGH, they're just. So on the same page with each other almost all the time. And when they aren't, they're so good at giving each other perspectives they didn't think of before. Which, I don't mean to compare Bagi to her brother here, but is also how Phil and Cellbit can be with each other too; though they've somewhat fallen out of that sync post-Purgatory. The way the Mystery Siblings are so on the same wavelength as Phil makes me so *slams fist on desk*
Phil is normally a very Just Vibin' kinda guy but Bagi can get him into some really deep intellectual conversations sometimes and it's so 🍿🍿🍿 to watch

Miscommunication kidnapping my beloved
TW: angst (I guess?), dark Phil, usual dsbi shit tbh you know what to expect, like 200 words? 300? I’m on my phone so I can’t check lmao
Playing with an idea where Technos getting forced out of a server or something and he doesn’t want Phil to get sad so he lies and says he wants to go.
I’m thinking maybe Phil’s like “Ok! I’ll pack and join you :D” but Techno is all angsty and thinks Phil’s juts being nice and tells him to stay and not follow him. Maybe a fight because of the confusion where Techno outright pushes him away?
Phil is obviously very hurt by this and is possessive as fuck and just doesn’t get why Techno, his absolute bestie, is leaving him and telling him not to follow. Like he thinks this is Techno trying to end the entire friendship.
Meanwhile Techno is really sad because he had a fight with Phil and now he’s never gonna see him again because even though the dudes his best friend and is super nice, he surely can’t be worth all that effort.
I’m not sure about the in between, probably just Phil progressively getting more dark and deciding to yoink Techno while Tech is all sad and packing his bags and stuff.
Either way Techno gets nabbed and when he sees Phil hovering over him he just hugs him because he was so scared he wouldn’t see him again.
Phil would obviously be pretty confused but he’d hug him back and tell him that he’d never let Techno leave him and Techs just really happy and relieved and maybe explains everything.
I’m thinking just a soft confession about everything that’s been going on and how scared he was meanwhile Phil’s just like “ohhh maybe kidnapping was a bit of an overreaction… oh well.”
Anyway it obviously ends in Techno staying with Phil and them being very happy :) sure Techno doesn’t know that he can’t leave but ignorance is bliss and he’s just happy to have his bestie back
Honestly this could probably work super well with the roles reversed but I’m nothing if not a Techno suffering enjoyer

Oh shit I thought I would have more time for the Glass analysis, I say like I haven’t gone days without doing them. Anyway, guess I’m going to speed run this last bit and accept I won’t get around to doing the rest of this. (Also, full disclosure, I will probably analysis the new fic first, 1. Because I’m very excited about it, and 2. Because it’s only the start of the fic so there’s less to analysis whereas Glass now has end of Stars vibes where it feels like I could analyse every line and see how much growth has happened.)
Anyway, where was I? Right, so Phil gives Wilbur the choice to tell him except he doesn’t want Wilbur to tell him unless he wants to. Which is the word that trips Wilbur up because he never really wants to talk about the visions, and he can’t say or admit that he wants to tell Phil, because he does want to be rid of that responsibility, he does want to tell him, he made that decision, but not for the reasons Phil wants it to be.
So in true Glass!Wilbur fashion, he pushes past the opportunity for growth, aka the thing that makes him uncomfortable, to tell Phil anyway, which the man isn’t happy about but he drops the topic anyway. And Phil not only listened to the vision, he asked what Wilbur’s opinion was [“Do you think we should back out then?”] and Wilbur expects it to be some kind of joke or jab at his fear like Schlatt would have done, but no, Phil is genuine. And I’d like to think there’s a high chance he would back out if Wilbur said yes (getting a bad vision from the Pythia would probably be enough to get Eret to lay off too).
But the thing is, Wilbur doesn’t say yes, because he’s so out of practice giving his own opinion that he doesn’t know what to do, hadn’t thought about it. He wanted to tell Phil to be rid of that responsibility. Tell someone else about the vision and they’ll know what to do. But then he actually gets listened to and asked for his opinion like he always should have been (and boy that contrast must be kind of healing) and he has no opinion to give because he didn’t think to formulate one.
And Phil still kinda assumes Wilbur is against it, or is maybe more fishing for his opinion with the above question, testing how far his locality goes because they already have that plan to send him back and they need to know if they can trust him, they need to know if his loyalty will stick in a situation like that. And now that I think about it, Phil’s side of the conversation feels very different when you know what he wants to ask of Wilbur. He you know what he ‘needs’ him for, not that he’s really intending to take advantage of him, it’s just that they need him for the plan to work, or that it would be easier that any alternatives.
Wilbur can say no, which actually now that ‘want’ conversation makes sense because Phil doesn’t want him to say yes to a plan he feels uncomfortable with just because he feels like he owes it to them. He doesn’t want Wilbur to say yes out of obligation. But he does want him to say yes, he’d just prefer it if it was because he WANTS to. So he’s trying to push him into admitting/confirming that, either to test Wilbur’s mindset and know how he would respond to being asked to be part of that plan, or to see if he can even ask at all, or maybe for his own conscious to feel less bad about having to ask this of him.
(1/?)

finally have time to answer this lets gooooo
that's perfectly understandable if you wanna do analysis on the new fic first once you get around to it and tbh I'm so excited to hear peoples thoughts I'm certainly not gonna be complaining either way
yupp that one word, want, is what trips wilbur up the most. because his responsibility is to share his visions, and from there he's used to it being taken out of his hands. schlatt never listened to his advice anyway, so he's not used to being outright asked for it. and he doesn't know what to do in the wake of a vision like that, hence why he wanted phil to just decide.
not to mention, he's in such an insecure place with his relationship with clara and his own experience as pythia, he's not trusting his ability to interpret visions correctly anymore. he can't make a decision about what to do regarding the vision because he doesn't know if he's interpreting anything the right way anymore, since no matter what he does it never seems to help.
oh yeah the convo is meant to read a bit different once you know what phil's thinking about the entire time. he's not trying to take advantage of him, but also... it's a tricky situation and phil knows full well he has the advantage given wilbur's current emotional state. like, phil wants to make sure it's something wilbur wants to do, but he's not doing it in a completely moral way and he knows it.

Song you listened to most recently: I Don't Know Why I Like You But I Do by The Wombats, phone just moved onto Butchered Tongue by Hozier
Single most underrated band you listen to: Stornoway (obviously, as if my relentless posting about them wasn't the clue you needed)
Song that you listen to if you need a pick me up: Magnificent (She Says) by Elbow
Favourite and/or most listened to podcast: Elis James and John Robins (again that's an obvious one whoops) although I binged all of Midnight Burger lately and it's so good
Song lyric you'd rewind a song for (specifically because of the words): "Home's only a feeling you get in your mind, from the people you live and you travel beside" from Fuel Up by Stornoway or "my liver may be fucked but my heart is honest" from Things That Stop You Dreaming by Passenger, "how the mouth must be emplyed in every corner of itself" from Butchered tongue by Hozier
Song lyric you'd rewind a song for (specifically because of how it's sung): I have an entire doc compiling lyrics like this but the bit in Orange Juice by Noah Kahan where he sings "and filled you with anger", the bit in I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie where they sing "catholic school, as vicious as roman rule" and for Hozier songs, "Hold me like water or christ hold me like a knife" from Who We Are and "the first time that you kissed me I drank dry the river Lethe" from First Time.
Favourite album: Beachcomber's Windowsill by Stornoway has been my favourite for 15 years so I'd probably have to pick that, but Hozier, The Wombats, Maisie Peters and Death Cab For Cutie are all very very close behind.
Favourite album released in the last year: I'm cheating and picking one for 2025 and one for the last full year, so Oh! The Ocean by the Wombats for this year, Unreal Unearth: Unending for last year.
Food you're craving right now: I am craving literally no food and this is a PROBLEM, I'd eat a sorbet if I had some nearby though
Favourite type of weather: Warm in the sun but cool in the shade, enough breeze that you aren't too warm but not too cold if you're sitting still, t shirt and jeans ideally.
Ideal time to sleep and wake up: 2:30am and between 11:30 and 12:30
Dream job: I always say I'd like to be an academic with some pastoral role, which is true but ideally I'd do that most of the time and then an author the rest of the time.
Dream music collab: Stornoway and Hozier, this blog would be fucking incomprehensible.
One piece of advice for your past or future self: Just because an experience didn't go the way you wanted or expected, doesn't mean it wasn't worth it.
no pressure tags: @horneboy @consideratesea @sillycartoonhozier @gonnalivedespitetheevils @hellkitepriest @nojglisrenaissance @angelheon @quillinhand @bellaa-boos @luvwitheverystranger @lifemod17
plus anyone else who wants to do it - sorry to the few mutuals tumblr jsut refused to let me tag for some damn reason

Fanfic I’ve been sitting on for a long time. (SBI)
So I have a fanfic idea, that I haven’t touched upon? I guess? I’ve pondered it, and haven’t told friends yet, because I know they would push me to actually make it, then I would and only make like 4 or 5 chapters before giving up, because... idk
So I’m gonna put it here, and see what happens! :D
It’s an SBI fic (Sleepy Boys Inc) but ends up extending to the others in the DSMP as the story goes on.
(I realize it got kind of long, so I put a “Keep Reading” thing for those who just want to skip it)
It starts with Phil, being an immoral being that dictates what gods and beings be “Summoned” to that world. As in the Gods can die, and the only way for them to come back is via being summoned by their followers. Now, most of the stronger Gods have to be summoned on specific years, and Phil’s job is to stop that.
Of Course Phil works for his wife the Goddess of Death! She herself cannot be fully summoned to this world, but she does stop by sometimes, dropping off their two kids of course! “Two Kids?” I hear you say “Don’t they have 3?” Yes, but Techno is the Blood God, so like... Shoosh, just wait. Now Wil and Tommy are like bird boiz. Wil is normal, when he get’s to the age of 16, his wings will grow in. But Tommy’s wings where there when he was born, so they are just really small for now. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t try to fly. (And fail) Phil, Wil and Tommy all live in a “Temple” of sorts on top of a mountain, over looking a town. This town takes care of them mainly because they know Phil is Immortal, and Phil keeps them safe. (They do have guards down there, via Captain Puffy and a few others)
Now. The Summonings. For some of the lesser Gods, they can be tried to be summoned once every other year (Phil normally stops those, because some are kinda bad, others he lets them stay around, and sometimes he fails to stop them) Other Gods are either “Currently Gone” or “Wandering the World” others could be ruling. Phil checks in on them at least once a month. (The Normal Gods could be tried to be summoned once every 5 or 10 years) (Ps if a god is already in the world, they cannot be re summoned) then the Stronger Gods can only be summoned once every 50 to 100 years (Normally a specific date) (Side note, every summoned version of them is slightly different in personality, but they are the same person)
So, The Blood God. Normally when the Blood God is summoned, it means there will be wars and not good stuff, so Phil normally has to stop that. (He doesn’t want his wife to have to work over time tbh) But Doesn’t mean he isn’t friends with him, they worked together back in the day. But the previous Blood God had gone and killed millions in a crusade across the world. Went a little crazy- (The voices got too strong) So Phil has been dreading the next time they try to summon him. (ps the voices are those who where killed in the name of the Blood god, so at first it’s quiet, but over time...) Phil had stopped it for the past 300 years. Normally when they summon him, they sacrifice like a stupid amount of people to jumpstart the bloodshed. That being said, Phil normally knows where this happens because... Angle of Death and stuff. So he can normally find his way there to stop it right when it starts. And NORMALLY, they kill the most around where they summon him. (This has been happening for hundreds of thousands of years, Phil got the pattern.) BUT THIS TIME- they decide to do that in another town to throw Phil off.
How to summon the blood god- Blood- A Pig- an alter and ritual.
Ironically I thought that even though Phil is an Immortal, he still has mortal friends. One of them is a lone potato farmer- WHO HAS A PET PIG- now, idk how he and Phil are friends, but I think it was along the lines of him helping Phil stop an annoying minor god from being summoned, then after Phil just kept stopping by and bugging him.
Anyways, this guy gets attacked, and his best friend pig Techno gets taken from him! During this time, Phil knows the blood god is going to be summoned soon, so he is off and about to the place he is sensing the most death. This turns out to be the wrong place, and when he realizes that this was the wrong place, he started heading back to the correct place, which is near his friends farm, putting two and two together, his realization is cut short as the Summoning is successful. Phil does end up meeting up with his friend and together they end up saving the lil pig.
Now I’m thinking the pig was pretty young, so we get small bean Techno (Who looks like a baby piglin, but is very much a pig) I planned on this taking them years to get to the actual fic, this is all set up, keep that in mind. But Techno and the Farmer are really close, and Phil kind of just... Lets them stay together for a bit, but the Farmer is old, so by the time Techno is 12, he ends up moving in with Phil. (Tommy 9 and Wil 15)
Last thing! Masks! Masks would be important to the gods. They could be in their godly form, but if they wish to take a human form, they would have a mask. The only way to turn back is via putting the most back on. But if the mask stays off for too long, they get a headache, the longer it’s off the worse the headache. (And more bad things could happen) they can learn to have the mask off longer over time, but at the beginning it’s very hard to leave it.
I think for the beginning it would be pretty wholesome, but like an actual problem would happen, and it would have some angst. I would plan to also add Dream to the mix of things (He would live in town with Puffy and Foolish (Foolish is also a God))
wtf do I call this au? ;-;
Should I actually write it? This was all backstory and set up, and it wasn’t even everything...
#fanfic I haven't written yet#sbi#dreamsmp#dsmp#sleepy boys inc#philza#Philza minecraft#wilbursoot#tommyinnit#technoblade#techno#tommy#wil#i dont know how long it would be...#wtf do i call this au?

A List of Increasingly Improbable Baby Names for Nathan + Nurie
Ridiculous baby names are one of my favorite hobbies. Nathan and Nurie have committed to a theme, and by golly I’m going to speculate! They haven’t outright said they’re using biblical names, but the fact that they chose Nehemiah for their first is pretty telling. (For the record, I like Nehemiah. Sue me.)
Obvious Next Moves
Noah. This was my top guess for N1. It’s different enough from Nehemiah that I could see them using it for N2 without any confusion.
Nicolas. New Testament names tend to be more chill. People might not even know you’re Christian if you name your kid Nicolas.
Nathaniel. They could honor Nathan without doing the whole “Jr” thing.
Nathan Jr. I always find it weird when people use “Jr” for anyone other than their first kid. I also wouldn’t put it past Nurthan to use both Nathan AND Nathaniel, as they are distinct figures in the Bible. Call one “Nate” and the other “Neil,” and you’re all set.
Naomi. The most obvious biblical girl N name out there. I’ll be shooketh if they don’t use it right away.
Noelle. There is no person named “Noelle” in the Bible, but it’s a name associated with Christmas and all that jazz.
Norah. It’s not ~technically~ biblical, but it does come from the Latin Honora, or honor, which feels nice and significant. And I think it has some roots in Hebrew.
Neveah. It’s heaven backwards. That’s biblical, right? (TBH the “heaven backwards” thing reminds me of the Satanic Panic and people freaking out that playing metal albums backwards would trick your kids into worshipping Satan. And yet the same pearl-clutchers love this name.)
A Little More Weird
Nicodemus. If Nicolas is too secular for you, here’s an alternative. Nico would be a cute nn.
Nimrod. Before Bugs Bunny convinced us all “nimrod” meant “idiot,” it was a reference to a super great hunter. Look out, Orion, Archer, and Hunter. Nimrod could be the next big thing.
Nemuel. It’s not a well-known biblical name, but it’s not implausible, either. I could see this working.
Nahum. It’s weird, yeah. But it’s not Spurgeon.
Nazareth. Apparently this isn’t an unheard of name choice in some parts of the world, used for boys and girls alike. I could see Zara or Zari as a nn.
Noa. If they don’t use Noah for a boy, I can see them using it for a girl.
Noadiah. Not sure if it’s pronounced NO-uh-DIE-uh or no-AH-dee-uh. (Now that I’m saying it in my southern drawl, it sounds almost exactly like “no idea.”) The latter pronunciation is different enough from Noah/Noa that they could theoretically use both.
Nekoda. Same vibes as the trendy Dakota, but ~biblical~.
Naamah. She’s the 4th woman named in the Bible, the sister of Tubal-Cain, IIRC. In some traditions, Naamah is considered a worship leader... but that might be too heretical for the IFB.
Secular Names Because We Ran Out of Biblical Ones
Nolan. I believe Jill Rodrigues used this name for one of her lost pregnancies. It could be a way for Nurie to honor her mother.
Nixon. He was a Republican, so maybe they like him?
Nestor. A good classical Greek name.
Natalie. It could be an honor name for Nathan without being too same-y.
Nova. It’s pretty and trendy, but it’s so far out from “Nehemiah” that I’m not sure they’ll go for it.
Nerys. I saw this on a list of awful baby names recently and I love it. YES I am a Deep Space 9 nerd, and it’s not the worst name you could pick from the show. (Though Kira would be a far, far better choice.)
Nymeria. I love this name, and I think Nurie is sheltered enough from the world that it being from A Song of Ice and Fire wouldn’t mean anything to her.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, NURIE
Naphtali. Though this one is originally a man’s name, I could see it working for a girl.
Nebuchadnezzar. NN Chad. (OK I know that you usually pronounce the “ch” more like “k,” but... the name Chad is literally sitting right there.)
Nephilim. NN Phil, in honor of Nurie’s brother. Also a great conversation starter--angels had babies with human women??? Genesis is NUTS, man.
Nisan.
Nun.
Nod.
Nymphas.
Narcissus.
The letter N doesn’t look like a real letter anymore.

- Sam just like gets really fuccn energetic in a thunderstorm... like just hyperactive but also like v strong..... also immune to electrocution :)
- He’s also like all creepers are, shit terrified of cats which is v funny considering he’s sorta friends with ant
- Even funnier if u want to take the ‘canon’ fact of ant being a whole ass 20 feet tall
- Speaking of ant and this absolutely isn’t a hc but I just find it very funny that people draw humanoid versions of all of the non human characters EXCEPT for ant who I have only ever seen drawn as a cat ghgh
- Bads skin colour is deadass vantablack like if he holds his hand in front of his face it just seemingly vanishes and you can’t pick out where his hand ends and face begins
- I want him to look terrifying.... like absolutely massive a complete unit of a man, sharp ass teeth, sharp spikes and horns, sharp claws, white glowing eyes........... but he’s just like “owo” at all times ghgh
- Skeppy has chronic pain from the diamonds growing inside his body and out of his skin... sometimes he ramps up how cheerful he is to try and hide how much pain he’s in that day
- Ranboo’s body is longer on his enderman side and so he physically can’t stand up straight unless his shorter leg is on a slope
- He’s half silverfish... mainly cause I think that’s funny like hehe both those and endermen are linked to the end/stronghold and can break blocks
- This does also mean he joins bad and skeppy in the ‘help I am v spiky’ club tho
- Also also like absolutely none of his clothes fit cause his limbs are so disproportionately long so rip his ankles in the tundra I guess
- Shortza supremacy
- Sapnap... blaze boy..... I want him to steam when he angy...... v warm to the touch and all of the dteam lay on top of him when it’s cold lmao
- George is like some weird ass mushroom man.... like he looks completely human for the most part but he’s not he just never tells anyone cause he has the mentality of ‘well no one ever asked?’ Or ‘it didn’t seem important’
- When he’s in danger the surrounding plants try to help him (like lmao there’s a war goin on? Nah just take a nap and miss out so you won’t get hurt :) )
- Imagine how much funnier the lmanberg saga would be if schlatt just looked like his profile icon rather than his mc skin.... just cute tiny sheep man in a sweater... I think it’d be like that one gif of the teddy bear slamming its head onto the table to acquire angy eyebrows
- Dreams has symmetrical white patches down the front of skin... kinda like vitiligo but not? Like deadass pure white
- I also kinda just imagine him having creepy solid black eyes ghgh (haha it’s cause he’s possessed)
- He’s immortal and kinda just snapped tbh like half the reason his actions are so manipulative, selfish and drastic are both because he’s so desperate to have control over things in his life and because low-key he kinda hopes that people will find a way to kill him off or get rid of the thing possessing him (I just want a happy ending :( make him not evil pls my poor heart can’t take a non happy for everyone ending//)
- Puffy is fluffy :) I will not elaborate further
- Revived people have creepy blacked out maybe kinda glowing eyes.... paler skin.... scars and phantom pains from their injuries....
- Phil just deadass found Wilbur hiding inside a fridge and took him home with him... wil just assumed the fridge was his mom and Phil found it too funny to correct him
- Tubbo is a moobloom hybrid and all the bees love him ok 💛
- I think it would be funny if dream just deadass can’t see shit through his mask rap considering all the feats he has done
- Phil is v old and ‘wise’ but is also fairly detached from reality as a result cause he can’t really remember what earlier parts of his life were like to understand how other people act
- I also think it’d be hilarious if he ironically had like 0 life skills... cooking? He’s shit at it. Sleep schedule? Never heard of it. Taxes? Isn’t that a state?
- The floors in the tundra trios homes are constantly being ruined by techno having hooves and Phil and maybe ranboo having claws... like u no how u can like dent and scrape a wooden floor with heels? Kinda like that
- Speaking of those three I also think it’d be very funny if they all collectively became useless or started fighting in the presence of a gold block cause like 👀 ‘oo gold/hehe shiny/hold block’ mentality
- Quackity can shapeshift.... but he’s like a ditto and always has the :] face.... mmm also maybe keeps any scars he has
- His ability to control this decreases the more he dies
- So like u could he talking to him and just suddenly he looks like someone else or like a weird mishmash of people and just hasn’t noticed lmao totally not freaky at all
- Literally non of the tundra trio are equipped for the weather like u have someone from the hot af nether, bird man who’d realistically be prone to hypothermia and someone who’s allergic to water like lmao why do yall live here what is wrong with you
- I want niki to just be very exasperated by this fact
- I want her to bake goods for her friends... tailored to their tastes.... cheer up food :)
- Also i forget when she changed her skin but I think it’d be very funny if she dyed her hair pink as an intimidation factor to tommy cause she knows he dislikes techno
- Puffy ily but I do not trust you with Tommy after the disaster that was bbh and skeppys relationship counselling
- The concept of the totems being foolish’s children is very funny to me like just the implication that he just leaves his kids in random chests for people to steal and that when they witness someone die they just explode with revive energy or something like w h a t
- Ghostbur either isn’t actually Wilbur and is just some entity pretending to be him hence the ‘poor memory’ OR him and limbo Wilbur are two halves of one entity
- I just find it v sus that he’s the only ghost that’s ever shown up... and regularly at that
- mmm tubbo hard of hearing.... relies on reading lips the best he can when to help clarify what people are saying but he can hear people well enough if they raise their voice quite loud
- cursed hc but what if ash and Zachary were somehow michael decendants and they like porkums cause he’s either originally a family friend or he just reminds them of stuff
- Ok half of these aren’t even hcs anymore and is just me rambling but who let Karl be in charge of the time travel he has such strong himbo energy
- That being said villain Karl when 👀//
- Why is tubbo like one of the smartest most accomplished people on the sever... he’s like 17..... like my man has been president, developed a new form of fast travel, has a family, developed a nuclear weapons program by himself, launched a man into space, developed a whole town and more .... like who let him have this much power he can barely read//
- I think it’d be funny if techno was just really bad at strategy games..... like ok technically he’s not bad at them but like he just spends 4 days analysing every last minute detail every round to optimise his chances of winning//
- I feel like people don’t give Jack enough credit for the fact he cheated death using nothing but spite

Feel free to ignore, if you don't feel like answering! But I'm so interested in your thoughts on the newest Wilbur-stream and what it revealed about his character. I'd love to hear your insights (if you have any particular insights, that is!) Always appreciate your analyses!
Aww thank you!
Tbh I have a lot of thoughts but nothing properly sorted yet. (Also idk how original any of my thoughts are because I’ve barely been reading other people’s thoughts. I’m just kinda dealing with some minor health issues rn, it’s draining all my energy.)
I guess the clearest part is that this confirmed a lot of things about past-Wilbur, that he did in fact lie to Phil (I mean I didn't doubt that but it helps to hear it) and that it likely was because he didn't want Phil to worry/be disappointed in him which is basically what I assumed.
Also that L'Manburg really wasn't as serious for him as he used to imply, although I think part of that might also be that it's been 13 years since he cared about it and being trapped in limbo would probably make anyone re-evaluate their priorities and maybe realise that the specific country wasn't as important as what that country represented for him. Which is a healthy conclusion to come to. I don't think it's all about the re-evaluation though, I've always read Wilbur's relationship to L'Manburg as less noble than what he wanted others to believe. A tool to "stick it to the man" kind of makes sense. What he didn't say explicitly, but what I think was pretty heavily implied, was also that it was a tool to gain power for himself, to benefit from division on the server. (See also the very last scene with Quackity's letter.) He’s an opportunist and L’Manburg was an opportunity for him. I think he did get invested in it along the way, though, I don’t think all of that was fake.
The way he manipulates Tommy is also pretty similar to how he originally got Tommy on board with his potion scheme and later L'Manburg. The difference is that Tommy is much more aware of it this time so we'll see how it goes. Right now he seems to be falling right back to his role as Wilbur’s... idk, sidekick I guess, but he’s also at least somewhat aware of the fact that it’s happening.
Other stuff is more complicated.
I think the most relatable part of Wilbur's character now is just how happy he is to be alive and to meet other people again, which makes a lot of sense. And for all that he made fun of Ranboo, he seems to be starting out trying to have good connections with everyone, he basically apologised or otherwise reconciled with everyone he met, or at least tried to be somewhat diplomatic. I think that's basically him trying to start over and get a sense of where everyone is at right now, for future plans. My guess is that both in character and out of character Wilbur knows that allegiances might be very different this time around. Although he still wants to include Tommy. I'm curious to see whether that's going to happen or not, Tommy is so wary of Wilbur but then again I know the two of them like to stream together so they might actually end up having their characters team up despite everything and hooooo boy....
That said I hope it won't be too much like the Pogtopia arc, I hope Tommy will have a bit more plot agency and not mainly just exist to criticise Wilbur and to try to convince him not to do what he's planning to do. (I was always really disappointed that the Tubbo, Tommy, Niki team up never happened after the Red Festival. IMO it was built up and then it just went nowhere, idk if it had something to do with irl issues or if it just didn't fit the plot outline but in any case it was a missed opportunity.)
Wilbur living with Phil is kinda... I have mixed feelings because I'd love to see them interact more but I'm pretty sure it won't end well and I don't know which bad ending is going to be the one that happens. I just care about Phil's character a lot. And oh god the Syndicate...
I have NO IDEA how Wilbur is supposed to know about the Syndicate and I'm not a fan, honestly. There better be a really good explanation for it because Wilbur didn't just know vaguely that there was some kind of anarchist society that had formed which could be common knowledge what with how unsubtle those nerds are, but he even knew what it was called, which implies that either somebody snitched or there's something weird going on.
I'm kinda worried because I wanted the Syndicate to actually get to have SOME development before it had to face a crisis.
Also damn you Wilbur for that "government" comment, I don't have the spoons to go through those debates again. I don't particularly care what his intent was, it's painful either way.
I guess overall I'm both excited and worried because I do like Wilbur's content and his character (well, except when I don't) and I genuinely love his style of storytelling which was already a huge breath of fresh air, but I hope it won't end up sidelining other plots. Quackity has barely even gotten started and the Egg arc hasn't yet had a full conclusion. I hope they'll all be tied together, rather than just happen awkwardly in parallel. (I know Dream promised plotlines would be tied together but Dream has promised a lot of things that turned out to be misleading, I don't trust him lol)
(I mean I personally don’t even care that much about the Egg plot, it’s really just not my thing, but it’s there and it would just make it even less satisfying if it basically just ended with the Banquet. It was built up as such an existential threat and it really hasn’t been that at all. Something that ominous kinda needed to actually take over the entire server, or at least cause a proper bloodbath, otherwise it just loses its menace.)
I don't know, we'll see. What I'm hoping is that Wilbur's first plan is to break Dream out because that's been a long time coming and would be more interesting than just "Wilbur starts a new scheme with Tommy". I mean he's obviously going to start a new scheme, but I just want the prison break plot first. And I'm guessing now that Wil lives with Phil, Techno might also be involved which would FINALLY resolve the "favour" which has just been hanging in the air for ages, and hopefully also some of the tension between Techno and Dream's characters which goes back even further. And Techno's character, as an anarchist, just should be anti-prison in general.
Idk, like I said, I lots of thoughts, nothing properly sorted yet.

Character Motivations on the DreamSMP
I know I’m an ARG Wilbur account, but analyzing the DreamSMP has always been super interesting to me, so I’m gonna take a crack at it. Here are, from my perspective, the motivations and interests of each plot-relevant character. (PS: analyzing the DreamSMP is just like analyzing the ARG, except a lot less frustrating because we actually know things.)
Tommy: His motivations have always, always, been his friends, most notably Wilbur. Throughout everything, he never left Wilbur’s side despite everything Wil did. He followed L’Manberg because it was Wilbur’s dream, not his. He allows himself to be thrown around a little bit (”When I said you’re never gonna be president..,” The pit) to keep his friendships/his friends safe. Now, his motivation isn’t keeping L’Manberg safe, it’s staying with Tubbo Another interesting view of Tommy’s motivations is his hero complex- He just wants to be seen as the hero, and does everything in his power to do that. Either way, I feel like his motivations are going to be severely tested in the coming days.
Tubbo: I think Tubbo’s motivations are really interesting because there’s two. It used to be Tommy- which makes sense because they’re best friends- but it’s slowly warped to be L’Manberg. I think this mostly changed when Wilbur and Tommy were exiled and Tubbo was left in the Schlatt administration, and he realized that he needs to fight for L’Manberg in order to keep Tommy safe. This then shifted further to just protection of L’Manberg, to the point that now he’s willing to exile Tommy from the country to keep it safe from Dream.
Wilbur: One thing: Power. Everything he’s done has been to get, or keep, power. The Revolution was to have power over Dream in the form of their own country. He tried to rig the election in his favor by preventing everyone else from running to keep power, and when he was exiled he fought for L’Manberg so he could be President again. Even in the end, he blew up L’Manberg because he realized it would never be his again. This is where the “When I said you’re never gonna be President, I meant it.” quote comes back- Wilbur would do everything in his power to keep power over L’Manberg and its citizens- no matter who, or what, he hurts.
Techno: These are some of the most simply motivations on the SMP. Techno wants anarchy. He hates governments and wants to end them all. He joined Wilbur and Tommy because he wanted to take down the government, and ultimately betrayed Tommy in an attempt to end L’Manberg’s government. His motivations might be shifting towards Philza, but I’m not sure.
Philza: I think it’s a bit too early to tell these but I have two ideas. First, safety. Phil wants safety for him, his kids, and his friends. He goes out of his way to rescue people (See: him travelling hundreds of blocks to rescue Ranboo from lava) and performs rash actions to protect people/keep his kids happy (killing Wilbur..?). Another potential motivation is just his kids. He killed Wilbur to keep Wil happy, and wants to bring Wilbur back to life. His whole thing with Ghostbur and with Techno fits into this. His friendship with Fundy kind of does, too. Again, it’s way too early and there’s too little RP with Phil involved to truly tell his motivations.
Dream: Every single war has been caused by Dream. He wants chaos and control. He was the one behind the revolution, the disc wars, and every betrayal of L’Manberg, He even caused the election drama by allowing Schlatt back on the server, and provoked fighting by giving Tommy and Techno gear. Dream wants to be the one who causes chaos, in order to give himself full control over everyone. This recent arc is gonna build on- and potentially destroy- this motivation, as Dream is probably going to lose all of the support of his friends, and Tommy has realized that Dream doesn’t care and just wants to fuck with him.
Sapnap: I would definitely say that at the moment Sapnap is an anarchist with no true side. He has dual citizenship in L’Manberg and the SMP, and, though he might be willing to do things for both of them, he just wants to cause problems and kill peoples pets. Sapnap is literally the cause for the first war when he burned down Ponk’s lemon tree- he literally just wants to cause problems.
George: There are few motivations for George. He just wants peace, honestly, but won’t do anything to stop wars, so he just leaves. At first, he was a loyal, right-hand man to Dream, but became disillusioned with that when he became Quackity’s running-mate, and just stopped caring about anything. He just wants to live peacefully in his cottagecore mushroom house, but he keeps being dragged into things. I think that George just doesn’t really enjoy RPing but they keep writing him in, lol, but I am going to say that his motivations are that he wants to live a quiet life.
Schlatt: He just wanted what he believed is best for Manberg. IMO, he was never really the villain, and was rightfully elected, but no one realized that until Wilbur did. He realized that Wilbur and Tommy were pretty much war criminals who tried to rig the election, so he exiled them because that was what was best for the people, and then gave Tubbo a job so that he didn’t have to worry about leaving. Even the taxes were to improve Manberg. His policies and laws were not always the best, but he was doing everything he could (in his mind) to improve Manberg.
Quackity: Wilbur said that Quackity just wants a kinder, more peaceful world, and that’s definitely true. I tried not to base too much of this on Wilbur’s perceptions but this one is 100% accurate. Quackity ran for President to create a kinder world, and ended up leaving Schlatt to join Tommy and Niki after Vilbur happened. I think Mexican L’Manberg might end up changing this one, but I’m not sure.
Fundy: He just wants a dad. Everything he’s done has been for this, pretty much. Obviously, he followed Wilbur into the Revolution when he was a kid, and then wanted to be like him so he ran for President. After Wilbur’s exile, Fundy saw Schlatt as a kind-of father figure, but still spied for Manberg. The explosion was a wake-up call that made Fundy realize how shitty his dad was, and how much Wil doesn’t care about him. Fundy is unwilling to form a relationship with Ghostbur, instead attempting to be adopted by Eret and getting closer to his Grandfather. He’s realized that Ghostbur does not really remember Fundy for who he was, just that he was Wilbur’s son and Ghostbur should care about him because of that, so Fundy seeks out other people to be his father figures.
Eret: They had a huge swap in their motivation like.. halfway through the story. For the first half, Eret wanted power- so she betrayed L’Manberg. Dream promised him kingship in exchange for the betrayal, and that was all Eret really wanted- until Dream took it away from him. At this point, Eret realized that she really misses her friends, which is when she joined them in Pogtopia. TBH- I don’t really like these motivations and I think Eret’s character would be stronger if they stuck to one side, and at some points I think it was just to be involved in the RP again, but it kind of makes sense I guess.
Niki: First, she cared about Wilbur, joining him in L’Manberg and wanting to stay in Pogtopia with them. However, when Vilbur started, she realized that what she really cares about is L’Manberg, not Wilbur. The big shift could’ve also been when she saw the flag being burned. Either way, she realized that L’Manberg means more to her than Wilbur.
BadBoyHalo: Bad’s motivations are my favorite. He wants chaos, just like Dream, but he’s planning to do it from the inside. He wants the Badlands to ally with everyone, only to spark infighting and create wars. This is why Sam is always the one to help people- he wants to gain everyones trust so the Badlands can incite chaos. This is an incredible arc and I really hope they go through with it because- unlike Dream- its not expected that they’ll be villains. Also, the speech where Bad explained this was so scary, he’s a great actor and I want to see him and the rest of the Badlands in RPs more.

Well, this is it boys. My final character analysis. Dream, Techno, and Tommy. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be skirting the word count here. Thank you to all of you who have been reblogging and liking the posts, it means a lot. That being said, because of the characters I’m going to be talking about and the weird split between Techno and Tommy viewers, I want to remind everyone that below are my own opinions and analyses. You are entitled to your own opinion. Well, let’s get this show on the road!
Dream:
One of the best things about the server is that there are no black and white characters. There are no good or evil, but verying degrees of gray. That said, Dream’s pretty close to black; he’s the closest we get to a main villain throughout the story. Dream’s been the underlying antagonist for a while, but I feel he’s taken a bigger role in this season. As far as I can tell, Dream’s got two motives: bringing the server together as one big family with no factions who he definitely doesn’t control, and prolonging the conflict with Tommy. Tommy is entertainment to him. Dream doesn’t want to give up the disks because then the story, Tommy’s story will end. I’m in the camp of beleiveing that if the disks return to Tommy, the plot line will essentially be over. Dream doesn’t want to part with his plaything just yet, but he can’t kill him either. After all, what happy family goes around killing its members? Horrible punishments? No! But emotional manipulation, is fine. That doesn’t just apply to Tommy: Dream manipulated Tubbo, Eret, Techno (to an extent. There’s a favor floating around still) among others. I think, if Tommy wins, Dream will be forced to either find a new plaything (I personally think Tubbo. L’Manburg is kind of Tubbo’s ‘disks’ in a way. Oh, I’m sorry, Snowchester) or he will have to kill Tommy. My speculation for tomorrow is that Tommy and Tubbo will defeat Dream, but Dream will snap and either call on Techno’s favor to in prison Tommy, or will just pull a god thing and kill Tommy outright. But that’s just a theory, a GAM-
Techno:
I’m very much a middle of the road sort of person. I pretty much watched or partially watched everyone’s perspective (from except Phil’s sorry) on Doomsday, and since then I try to catch both Techno’s and Tommy’s when they are streaming. Why do I say this? Well, you’re going to notice that I am not going to make a clear decision on who I support. I’ll try my best to keep these last two as unbiased as possible...
I’ll start by saying that Techno is... strange to me. I can’t tell if I really like his character, or hate it. I’ll begin with the negatives, I think. I don’t like how Techno points to everyone betraying him instantly. Tommy did use him for supplies and shelter and what have you, but something I find people don’t consider is that Techno used Tommy too. Tommy said over and over he wasn’t going to blow up L’Manburg, and time and time again Techno brushed Tommy aside. Techno forced Tommy to choose between a lifelong friend who’d made a mistake and been manipulated, and someone who barely deigned themselves to respect him. I saw people were really surprised by Tommy choosing Tubbo, but... was it all that unexpected. That’s not to say Techno was unjustified. He did extend his hand to Tommy, only for it to be batted away, and maybe he meant well, but he was kind of an ass to Tommy. It wasn’t manipulation like Dream did, but he did use Tommy to help him gather supplies and get into L’Manburg and what have you. I guess the real thing that defines the dislike side of things is that Techno really doesn’t try to see from other’s perspectives. He tends to take a ‘my way or the high way’ approach. Also... I don’t really know how to feel about the syndicate. I can’t tell as of yet if it is truly as open as Techno made it out to be.
Alright, Techno’s good things. A lot of Techno’s actions were justified. I feel like L’Manburg waaaaay overreacted, and Techno’s anger was extremely justified. L’Manburg, for all of its good intentions, was corrupt. It needed to fall. (The builder in me would have just preferred a coup or disbandment or something, not a chunk error, but I guess what happens happens not like you can fix anything now.) I still think Technos story will continue beyond this season. He’s still got people he needs to take down. I don’t think Tommy’s on that list actually. I mean... he didn’t kill him on sight today, and he let Tommy say goodbye so...? Either way, there are still people that need to be taken down. I feel kind of bad for Eret tbh. It’s gonna be a bumpy road for him, even if he means well. Techno also was right to be angry at Tommy. They betrayed each other, in a way. Their alliance was as doomed as L’Manburg.
Tommy:
Our protagonist. Our ‘hero.’
Like Techno, I feel there are good and bad things to be said about Tommy’s character. Unlike Techno, Tommy’s character both changed and didn’t change at the same time. I noticed a lot of people saying that ‘Tommy is so immature,’ or ‘why doesn’t he just give up the disks he didn’t change at all,’ or whatnot. My response to this is: Tommy did not have a chance to develop. He spent the season being tormented by Dream, then dragged into the anarchists where he didn’t really have a say. Why did he ‘betray’ Techno? It was all Tommy knew. He’d been betrayed over and over again himself. Tommy, for so, so long, did not experience any sort of support. Tubbo exiled him, Dream nearly destroyed him, Techno didn’t listen, and Tommy? Tommy didn’t know what to think because not once did anyone care about what he had to say, until it was much too late.
For of all his stagnation though... Tommy did change. And it all comes down to one line. “The disks are more important then you ever were.” I’m that moment, Tommy realized that somewhere in exile, or somewhere in the tundra, he’d lost some sort of humanity. In the same way that Quackity realized how much like Schlatt he was, Tommy realized how blind he’d been by his want of the disks. He was willing to give up his own best friend for material wealth. He betrayed Techno because he realized that Tubbo was more important. Ever since then, Tommy has been a bit more attentive to other people. He apologizes to Tubbo and Connor. He offers IOU’s to people, which doesn’t seem like a big deal, but would old Tommy have done that? But then, why continue to go after the disks? Well, something changed in that motive to. Before, Tommy wanted the disks back because, “The disks were mine and he stole them from me.” He wanted them back because having them stolen was an insult that needed repaying. Now though, I think Tommy wants them back because he truly believes that it would solve conflict. He doesn’t want them back for himself anymore, he wants them back because that’s the only way to achieve peace. Whether that is true or not, I can’t say. I also saw a lot of people wondering ‘why the disks. Why were they so important to him in the first place?’ The disks represent the good old days. When it was just a server playing Minecraft. Before L’Manburg and Techno and Wilbur and hto dog vans and exiles, before everything. That’s why they are so important to him. They represent memories. Peace. Happiness Tommy hasn’t felt since then. It’s why it’s so hard for him to let them go. Letting them go would be letting the memories go; letting the people attached to those memories go. Tommy is trapped in the past. I by no means support the obsession, nor do I find it justifiable... but it is understandable.
Let’s see... I already touched on why Tommy left Techno... so let’s finish off with some interesting things that Tommy has learned. As awful as Dream was to him, Tommy learned somthing very important from him. Sentiment is a weapon and a bargaining chip. He secures Sapnap’s Loyalty by returning Mars, Sapnap’s ‘disks’, an item of sentiment to him. I also think of the pair, Tommy is better equipped to let L’Manburg fade then Tubbo. If Tommy succeeds, I wonder what will happen. And does loosing mean dying. Tommy thinks it does, but loosing to Dream could mean many different things. The battle tomorrow will not be so straightforward as Tommy seems to think. We wait with bated breath. For some dark levity at the end of it all. If Tommy wins, Niki’s gonna off ‘im anyway so...
Thanks for reading! If you made it all the way down here, kudos. I hope you enjoyed. I hope to post more in the future, not only DreamSMP, but other fandoms as well. I’ll see you all later!

okay i think it was you that said you didnt like erin manning and. anyways mini rant/question OKAY so she said that suzuki is thriving under a team that trusts him (true enough) and kk is gonna have that one day but the team wont be the habs. im a big kk girl so going into his rfa year im very scared and was just wondering if you thought that he might not want to play here because of ducharme/other reasons. sorry if this is stupid lol
yes i don’t like her at all haha.
okay there are two things that m*nning is banging on about here:
kk not wanting to stay with the habs
whether the team would trade him
with regard to the first, kk’s rfa year doesn’t really mean anything. the whole point of a restricted free agent is that the team retains their rights until unrestricted free agency (which is age 27 or seven seasons played, whichever comes first so in kk’s case it’s probably gonna be seven seasons). but for the meantime, he is still the habs’ to sign unless someone gives him a qualifying offer. and tbh considering his point production recently (not that i think he’s been playing badly or that this is mostly his fault) AND the flat cap, i don’t think another team would do that. when it comes to his options as a ufa i guess that’s an entirely different story, but given the way he talks about the team and his teammates and the fact that he’s like learning french and seems to genuinely enjoy montreal who knows. the point is he doesn’t have a lot of options as an rfa and a LOT can happen in four seasons.
whether the team would get rid of him. this is where my dislike of m*nning comes into play because like. my dudes. she has been watching hockey for maybe a year? and as a person who loves to write and also loves hockey, i can understand the fondness for Narrative. however, the narratives she picks are honestly kind of bizarre and not entirely founded in reality. she has constructed this whole victim story for kk where the team hates him and the front office doesn’t value him and the coaching staff is purposely sabotaging his development.
like does dom’s deployment puzzle me? yes. does it make me scratch my head when he plays an injured eric staal over kk? yes. does it make sense to me that nick is getting double shifted and playing 22 min while kk plays 9? i guess you could say that they wanted to win that game and clinch, but do you need to exhaust one of your top players when the player you’re benching isn’t playing badly badly? idk. but like... this is where the coaching staff does sometimes know stuff we don’t. dom’s said stuff about both kk and romanov to the effect that sometimes giving a kid who’s struggling more will make him regress more. so like whether you agree with that or not, the point is that the coaching staff is clearly working with him and doing what they think is gonna be best for him at this point in time.
whether the front office values him? i think they clearly do. everyone was shocked when kk was picked third. he played his way into the lineup in his first camp. there’s definitely an argument to be made that he should have spent another couple of years either in finland or in the ahl to get stronger and more confident, but they didn’t do that. what’s done is done. still, he is a third overall pick, he is a center, and he is only twenty. i think if he’s still struggling this much next year, in a normal season, there might be some cause for concern, but right now i think a lot of his rotating carousel of linemates is solely due to this weird season, injury, and the fact that the team doesn’t have time to practice and dom is desperately trying to find anything that works. i think that’s the same reason eric staal was bought in. as insurance, because we saw what happened in that one game where phil hurt his wrist. the other centers struggled. and as i will point out to you, our organizational center depth......... is not fantastic, which is another reason why i don’t think kk is going to be traded anywhere.
so at the nhl level right now, you have, other than kk:
phil danault - our shutdown center, arguably the 1c when healthy, defensive metrics darling but not lighting up the scoreboard anytime soon. i really hope we re-sign him because i think what he provides to the team right now is incredibly valuable both on the ice and off, but who knows. we won’t until the offseason i think.
nick suzuki - arguably the 1c for stretches even when danault is healthy, although he’s played up and down the lineup this year. i think he is our future 1c without a doubt, although depending on whether kk gets his confidence back i’d be very happy considering them both a 1a/1b situation. he’s not going anywhere.
eric staal - hoping that his numbers this year have been due to injury because yikes. (sorry isbah.) i don’t think he will be back next year.
jake evans - he’s fantastic and i love him. i think depending on how the roster shakes out he could either be a 3c or a 4c. he’s a hard tryer and hard worker and he’s fast! he’s so fast. who knew! i think he has a long future with the habs and i’m very happy about it.
at the ahl level right now, you have, in alphabetical order:
joseph blandisi - he’s 26 years old. he’s one of the rocket’s best centers, but if he hasn’t cracked an nhl lineup at this point, you can’t really expect him to. he could fill in for a callup in case of injury but he’s not gonna be one of your regular lineup guys.
laurent dauphin - same as above, even down to being 26 years old.
liam hawel - never signed by the team that drafted him in 2017. he’s only 22, but he’s on an ahl-only contract for a reason. he’s not going to be knocking down any doors, but look what happened to jake evans. (i still don’t think he’s really a threat).
cam hillis - only 20; eotp considered him their 19/25 player/prospect under 25 in the organization so...... like, he’s okay. not great, especially with small spaces, positioning, and awareness. probably career ahl.
jan myšák - also a pretty young guy. eotp had him 18/25. he’s intelligent, but not as much of a playmaker, and his skating is an issue. i think he was a pleasant surprise in the ahl this year, with a few years of development, i think he could crack an nhl roster. but i dont think it’s necessarily going to be in the top six.
ryan poehling - i definitely think that before his wrist injury, he was gonna make the roster next season. he’s been amazing in laval this year after many wrote him off as a bust. i think his ceiling is probably a 3c. we’ll see how his shot is after surgery (this legit worries me considering what happened to jo). but he’s probably the “best” center on this list right now except jordan weal.
lukas vejdemo - he’s 25. eotp had him 17/25, but considering his age, what you see is basically what you get with him. he’s a defensive-minded center who’s not gonna throw up huge numbers. he’s been a 3rd/4th liner a lot in laval this year. probably not gonna be super impactful in the nhl if he makes it back on the roster again.
jordan weal - ah, jordan. :( he’s 29, he’s a 4th liner when he’s in the nhl and he’s too good for the ahl. i love him as a personality and an incredibly hard worker and good mentor for the younger guys, and i’m really sad he’s probably gonna be in the khl next year.
so in this list, it’s...... not that great. you have one guy who’s definitely nhl-ready depending on his health. you have one guy who IS a proven nhl’er, but can’t crack the lineup anymore and is probably signing elsewhere next year. you have a few guys who could crack the roster but probably are middle/bottom six at best.
and then you have kk, who has already played three seasons in the nhl, has a high ceiling and the pedigree of being a 3OA. so no i don’t think the habs are looking to trade him, especially given that almost all of the other centers on this list are older than he is. center i think is a lot harder than wing, and there are gonna be bumps and setbacks, i think the organization understands that. kk is only 20 and far from a bust.
also regarding his play, i do think that getting shuffled around a lot probably has had an affect, but given the nature of the season i don’t think there were a whole lot of other options. for example when he was moved to wing with danault and tatar, it was because they trusted him to take that position on the top line. i think he’s probably suffering from low confidence right now, but i think that’s more because he can’t score. nick even said it at a press conference. he’s just gotta get one, and then it will start to put itself back together. kk is a hard worker and a competitive person, and he rose to the occasion in the playoffs last year after a rough year and i have confidence he can do it again.
but please keep in mind that m*nning is cuckoo for cocoa puffs. she doesn’t understand how injuries impact the lineup, she cherry picks the stats she uses to make her points, and she completely ignores dissenting opinions even when they show their work because HER favorite is being ~treated badly~. which like, i understand the urge to be defensive. but if you actually look at the rosters, the history, and the facts, it’s very unlikely that kk is going anywhere anytime soon.

TPN S02E10+E11 Initial Thoughts (anime-only)
Sorry for posting this so late (it was finished in my drafts for like a month why did I NOT POST???). since i dont have a lot to say for either, I’ll combine ep10 and ep11 into one post.
.
Season Thoughts overall
Overall: not a lot of hype or feelings. I don’t really want to say I don’t care but I was more invested in singular elements than actually seeing it unravel in front of me. I personally like that better than hating it (which I’m glad I don’t particularly feel betrayed or anything), though I guess based on the angle you could argue that anger often comes from a place of caring in those situations so-- maybe it’s a bad sign, but either way, I prefer it this way. the time when it was just stressful hurt.
Though it also hurts to know it’s truly over now (well, there’s the manga, but knowing that I waited for... little payoff haha) -- especially when they kind of teased how it could continue. I respect wanting to wrap it up but tbh just cutting it when they stay behind would have done it too pff-
maybe this will change upon rewatch but for now, here’s my “hype”/investment chart for tpn over the weeks:
I don’t want to call it “quality” because I’m not sure I’m being fair to that at all. I can tell its faults and at this point, I don’t care that much, but that is how I felt each week. active discontent is worse than being neutral for me.
I do think a 12th episode would have help not rush the Ratri exposition as much and maybe have some more of a through line to their quest. Even if it's more slideshow i would have liked a bit more context personally.
.
EPISODE 10
that was truly a doctor stone moment where they just built something super impressive (the balloons) out of.... somewhat nowhere haha.
I'm so glad Vincent stuff was just a classic CW cliffhanger-force pfff- I mean why it exists is questionable but I’m glad they didn’t force a conflict into it so late.
Mujika and Sonju went brrr on converting all those civillians haha
Will Emma ever get an epic action shot again, probably not.
Week 4 of wondering if the hideout Cislo or Vincent referenced will come back. at this point probably not but I guess if everyone is basically on their side already, they have the time to go collect every human in the world. [future tori: sadly the show did not] - or Mujika may help collect other humans and bring them to safety! I think I would have preferred a grey ending a la "we go over but who knows what happens" there but I'm still curious how it'll pan out specifically.
When Emma spoke to everyone over the farm speakers I was big emotional--
Somehow all the moms are instantly on their side despite being brainwashed all their lives? I guess maybe Isabella planted the seeds all this time and that’s the implication. It fell a little flat though
Also it implies that the sister/mom that urged Phil to get ready actually knew of the plan right? WHY IS EVERYONE SO OMINOUS pfff-
MICHELLE THOUGH!!! Its herrrrr. that’s a nice nod.
i liked how the tunnels of Sonju and Mujika came back around plot-wise :)
.
EPISODE 11
they didnt forget the kids from the mass production farms hazahhh (?) :D
it is kind of hard to unthink that none of the GF kids have reacted to Norman being alive lmao
i would have accepted a cut after the gate closed too tbh, but on the other hand it was rly nice to see the kids in the human world and see some of the frames of the demon world quest
in particular the one on water because it's also in the ratri exposition so I like that it's not completely random.
it is however very random and while I love to put some pieces together myself, I feel like there’s WAY TOO LESS to go off of in this case.
If you're gonna do a charlotte at least give them the 12th episode to work with but oh well
I feel like they could have done the slideshow over the ending but I guess saving effort wherever possible is a goal here sadly.
it's just.... the minimal runtime really hurts it - like a lot of it isn’t downright bad but it’s just so short-lived that it falls flat
as someone who's written very time-jumpy stuff too, I also sympathize because it's kind of hard to do a quick time "overview" right without just throwing in random moments.
I don't mind the slideshow for the exposition, it had a nice astethic and I don't have anything against it inherently bc you can't really quickly show moments after each other if it's not still images. like if its animated its kinda jarring bc stuff moves and its also just on screen for a short moment so i personally dont have anything against the slideshow itself
I do like the general ideas and concepts but it just felt like "okay that happened"
Because it feels like they are building on something with like that standing on water creature in the Ratri exposition and then in the time skip frames, but stuff around a lot of it and other things are just missing and that's why it falls kind of flat. Idk if that made sense. I'm not really angry or upset anymore, which I'm glad about. The elements i like i like and that's that. Though of course. I'll miss the anime. Even the mess of s2 haha because it still had those elements and I could see how it could have worked. Episode 9 however was insulting pff.
I would have also liked some info about how and where they live now tbh
like that weird on water dragon and the demon in front of it appearing during the ratri expostion and then with Emma - maybe he's like..... the promise manager? "hello we would like to apply for a promise slot. thank you"
it's funny they were fine in the human world immediately when it was set up as "maybe unwelcome". and where did they even get out?? is there just a big ass gate at the ocean haha
I guess the gate just stays open and they can visit Mujika and Sonju from time to time or something? :D Or did they close it? NOBODY KNOWS bc everything is vague
The last episode (ep10) left me wanting nothing.
This episode at least left me wanting more. More of their quest getting all the children. More of the trio in the human world. Just more... And I think that’s better than not caring at all.

hi hello wow it’s been nearly 2 weeks since ch 20 of stars dropped and I am still brainrotting about it on the daily. IN PARTICULAR the bit I can’t let go of is where Wilbur thinks that his being moved to to the personal wing has got to be either a power play to intimidate him, or a sign of fatherly [static noises as his brain shorts out].
(1) Wilbur is still clinging to the idea that if Phil has any political agenda whatsoever, then all of his kindness is entirely fake and manipulative. Which tbh is pretty understandable, like if Philza grabbed MY face and said “I always get what I want,” I would not trust him for another 500 years either. But also I’m increasingly convinced that Phil is somebody with inherently mixed motives, and the answer to “is this a power play or an honest attempt at emotional connection” is always gonna be “yes.” Idk, we’ll see.
(2) Wilbur, buddy,,,, this is definitely a power play but I do not think it’s aimed at you. I’m both cackling and crying at once, because of course Wilbur “I am worthless and also it’s all about me” Sóti would not consider that it could be remotely intimidating for Tommy to see Emperor Philza going “mine now” all over his only brother/advisor/ally. Again, I don’t think that’s the only thing Phil is doing, but it’s gotta be part of his political/interpersonal calculus, and ohhhhh I just yearn to know what’s going through Tommy’s head right now. He’s finally in charge of the negotiating, but at what cost??
Back to the topic of Phil’s motives (again)….tbh I spent a lot of this fic actively hoping that Phil would turn out to have an evil plot just so that Wilbur could get the sweet sweet validation of being correct. However, at this point I think my boy needs a hug more than he needs to be right, so I guess I’m once again hoping for Dadza? Insofar as this Phil is capable of being fatherly, which, I’m not at all sure about. I remain convinced that those early interactions really were cold blooded mind games, and I do think he has genuinely caught feelings by this point, but when did he start being genuine? How much of his interactions with Wilbur are *still* political maneuvering? At this point I’m no longer worried that Phil doesn’t care about Wilbur, but I’m terrified that he doesn’t care *enough* and that it’s all gonna fall apart under the stress of whatever disasters happen in act 4.
"sign of fatherly [static noises]" is literally the best way to describe wilbur's aversion to thinking too hard about phil's behavior towards him. he literally just shuts off that train of thought it's so funny
yeah wilbur does have pretty valid reason to still distrust phil given how, ahem, intense he was earlier in the story. but while I won't confirm or deny anything, I do think you'll want to pay attention to the chapter coming out tomorrow. it's definitely relevant to your theory :)
2. GOD LITERALLY he's so stupid and self-centered he does not even consider how all this shit has to come across to tommy. it's very sad almost, but just goes to show how damaging a mindset like wilbur's can be. also, uh, tommy's not having a fun time. that'll all you'll know for now.
again I can't confirm or deny anything, but I will reiterate my prior point for 1. pay attention to next chapter. there's a bit with wilbur and phil that I think will definitely help flesh out your theory a bit more. also, yeah, wilbur really does not need to be right at this point. tbh if he's proven right that might just break him more. he needs therapy more than anything jesus christ
anyway tysm for this ask it's a really good analysis and it made me very excited to read :D

Are you normal or do u sometimes go "IVE BEEN SCARED OF SLEEPING WITH THE LIGHTS ON(off? Idk its hard to decipher)"/lyrics -curious anon
me: oh boy, can't wait to try and make a tumblr blog! Before i do i should research it- *what in the hecking heck is an xkit*
djskdjsk i had no idea what an xkit was until yesterday and when i got it i got too confused and uninstalled it - dw curious anon i don’t use it either i just vibe and do whatever i guess. if you tag correctly and make good posts things should work out, can’t wait to see your acc around!
I got some sad-ist merch :DDD!!
yooo!! that’s so pog for you! it’s probably pretty comfy :D
me standing ominously in your askbox waiting to rec my fav fics:
fjsjdjsk i literally just finished passerine i still have 80 more (some of which are like 300k words long) on my to-read but uh if they have c!dream mischaracterized i’ll not be reading them anyways so it’s very hit-or-miss, will probably get through some of them quicker-
After many moons spent under the dsmp, seeing discourse and analysis alike, i have come to the conclusion i simply do not have the energy to care about any lore outside of c!tubbo and c!tommy's and will only defend them. And that is ok. It is ok to not watch or care about all dsmp or want to discourse about them or analyze. Idk man was thinking deep thoughts today
it’s ok to watch entertainment and enjoy it the way you want to! it’s great to want to enjoy or talk about your fav character!
the problems come up when you attack other people for their perspectives on the medium or spread misinformation about different characters based on only watching the perspective you like, but you know - if you’re not doing analysis, you really don’t need to look that deep into it.
it’s ok to just chill. your feelings about characters are valid! :D so yeah i agree with you! let people with different opinions exist if they’re also being respectful (e. g. tagging correctly).
Hey ik u worked with animgician's newest vid and i found a not-crit (i rlly think) little thought on it if u wanna see it
yoo feel free to send it in!!
No one: me: *shuffles around* wanna hear about my cool warden c!tommy au?
may i interest u in a little bit of my writing? If not that is ok i just wanna see if my writing is any good before working on a fic lol
Anyways if i am not in the askbox for a little it is because i am now writing a proper fic thing out. Wish me luck o7 -curious anon (i have three different lyrics i am going to be incorporating and a little analysis and just a smidgen of projection)
Ruby do u wanna read a little something i wrote? *does the little fingers thing* its really short just a headcanon with a little prose
i sure do! that sounds rlly cool - are you sure you don't wanna make a post about that on your own account though? i don't mind seeing it at all but i think the c!tommy tag would be able to appreciate that au better than my followers. you've gotta find the right target audience, y'know? /lh
though of course i'd love to see your writing, i'm sure it's great! looking forward to it :]
Ayo i remembered u talking about how punitive punishment doesn't work the other day so i want to discuss. What would u consider to be a fitting "punishment" for c!dream's canonic killing of mexican dream?/gen
i mean... we're not trying to - being against punitive justice is about the fact punishment is wrong, not just certain types of it. asking me what a "fitting punishment" would be is sort of very not getting the point.
hurting people further is not going to teach them anything and it’s not going to help anyone, why is it necessary?
so the answer is: none. he shouldn’t be punished, actually! he should learn on his own that what he did wasn’t right, and that’s about it. that’s the thing about transformative justice. him becoming a better person who Wouldn’t Do That again because it goes against who he is.
however, there’s also restorative justice, which is working to “make it up” to the victims. to which i propose; dream has the revival book and could literally bring him back once he is out of the prison. give him some powder maybe. md would probably be chill w/ that.
Yknow. In all my time in dsmpblr i can confidently say that the main differnece between c!dream apologist/enthusiants and c!wilbur/sam ones is that the c!wilbur/c!sam ones want their fav to have a breakdown and c!dream ones want theirs to get positive reinforcement /hj /lh
i’m pretty sure the sam and wil ones also want them to get better/get redeemed, at least deep down, but i get what you mean! you’re *glances at the 🟩⛏ gc where all we do 24/7 is write angst about c!dream being terribly hurt and then we cry about it* 100% correct. no angsters who like the pain here *nervously laughs* we all just want him to heal and be happy for the rest of his life with no heart-shattering breakdowns whatsoever! /s /lh
Hope ur having a great day m8 :]] -curious anon (also i have a new canon fact i wanna share. In quackity's alt lore stream yesterday he said (to the best of my memory) that "no law/juridsiction exists on the dream smp to prevent one from building anywhere" so i guess that clears up the big debate on wheather or not c!dream had a right to enforce rules (or basically the arguement that he owned the server by divine rule)
no i’m - i’m pretty sure that’s just how it works. dream still owns the smp, but he himself has said wayy back at the beginning “everyone can build and go wherever they want” and that was that. it was one of his rules on the smp, it was his main problem with l’manberg. being able to build anywhere were the rules that he “had the right” to enforce. and he did, not because he was a god, but because it was his smp, his home that he claimed for his friends. wouldn’t call it a big debate, it’s really that simple.
.AGONY. HURT EVEN. THIS IS HOW IT IS FOR CURIOUS ANON. I LAUGH, I CRY, I FIND AN ANIMATED GIF ON TWITTER THAT SQUEEZES MY C!TOMMY ENJOYER HEART INTO OBLIVION. (i am being dramatic btw for the funnies just so ya know) I AM NOT GOING TO FINANICALLY RECOVER FROM THIS. AAAAAAAAAAA UEEEEEEE
OK THAT FREAKING
O U C H-
also for the old phil ask. Hes a bad dad because of how he treated ghostbur. I will elaborate if u want
didn’t ghostbur just say “i’m not wilbur” and philza said “you’re not my son” and they went on with their day? weren’t they actually in agreement that he wasn’t the same as wil when he was alive? i don’t remember him really treating him badly tbh other than disowning him which seems fair to me, because ghostbur was a literal stranger to phil at that point?
wish you a nice day, curious anon! (i’ll be back on my essays and answering other asks now, so i might not reply right away :])
