I give interviews sometimes, and I want to clarify something -- because the above graphic is absolutely a great little primer in interview questions/good kinds of answers, but I feel like it... Sort of makes it sound like these questions are cruel tricks a (presumably nt) interviewer plays on the interviewee... Which, is probably sometimes the case :p BUT not always, and it's probably not super helpful to think of them that way.

I consider interviewing kind of like DMing.... My job is to help the candidate present themselves as good as possible - for the technical question section of an interview that is pretty self explanatory; I've got some list of technical skills I want to see them demonstrate and some sort of puzzle that should let them do that. (Which is why talking out loud 100% of the time you are working on an interview problem is so important -- it gives the interviewer the maximum possible opportunity to see you at least gesture towards one of the skills they're looking for) ((also dont be afraid to explicitly ask what skills your interviewer is focusing on -- don't spend a bunch of time on fiddly technical details if they want to see broad design work, or vice versa))

BUT the 'soft' portion of the interview is also really important! Arguably more important. Technical skills are pretty much pass/fail, you either have the minimum required skills or you don't... But the personal questions is what let's your interviewer make judgements about things like -'is this person going to join our team for a month just to get a foot in the door, and then jump ship leaving us with a hole to fill (again)?' or 'is this person going to absolutely fall apart the first time they have to interact with a customer/a rookie/an asshole old guard type guy?'

All of those vague 'tell me about yourself'/'what drew you to the position' type questions where the correct answer is to say something from the job description/company website isn't (just) interviewers selecting for kiss-ups/reading comprehension--- these questions are where you let the interviewer know that you have some sort of personal interest in the job - people who hate their job and are bored by it do badly, and then quit.... Which is not good for anybody! (If you personally are fine with hating/being bored by your job that is absolutely fine... But keep it in the dl from your employer because that isn't true for most people ... Performing at least mild interest in your work signals to people that you are putting in the effort to do a good job, if you come across like you don't care.... People will assume you don't care enough to do it well)

This is why it is so, so important to ask some sort of question - if not about the specific role, then 'what does your standard day look like' is a great option - it signals to the interviewer that you are actually seriously interested in the position, and not just 'shopping around'... The more specific and genuine your questions the better this works - if you start with the generic question about their day, make sure to engage with them and ask follow ups - respond positively to the things that you like, etc (ie "well we have a daily meeting at 9 and then spend all day doing bluh", "oh that's great, I love having a daily check-in, makes it much easier to stay on track.... How long do your daily meetings tend to go? How many people attend?")

And all of the anecdote type stories are about giving you an opportunity to 'demonstrate' some sort of necessary soft skills -- ie compromising with assholes, or planning things ahead of time, or splitting up work between multiple people ... Again this is one where you can definitely ask if they are looking for any specific types of scenarios - tho they might be looking more for what kinds of things *you* consider significant. I always prepare at least 2 anecdotes before interviewing -- a 'time things went well' story and a 'time things went poorly' story; but be prepared to switch it up on the fly, if they ask for an example of a specific thing (ie focusing on the customer, or appreciating diversity, etc) then actually focus on that topic dont just tell a story that makes you look good thats maybe tangentially related -- the story can be about a time when you failed or did poorly so long as you frame it as a lesson learned (and maybe conclude with a very short 'and then a few weeks later I had a situation where that skill came up again and I didn't fuck it up that time's)

Also make sure to throw in concrete details to your anecdote -- most people sound like they're bullshitting during interviews at least a little bit, so you don't really need to worry too much about that - but concrete details are what separate the 'sounds like they're stretching things a bit because it's an interview and that's what you do, and at least they demonstrate an understanding of what we want to see' from the 'hmm this person is just straight up lying'

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. The big orange dipshit came in and gutted the party of everyone who wasn't a loyalist, which left it full of nasty little gremlins who have gaping voids where charisma and human decency is supposed to go.

They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.

So that's what we're gonna fucking do. We're gonna break these fucking fash. They will crash upon us and we're gonna break their fucking necks. When they come for us they will lose because they're fucking losers and we have each other's backs which is something they fundamentally are incapable of comprehending.

Something de-ages danny, not a clue what exactly, but it does. BUT, danny had already had a good reveal with his parents, so he goes home and they see him de-aged and immediately get to work figuring out how to get him back to normal.

Life goes on as normal, its just that danny's body is about ten years younger. He still has to go to school (with a story that the thing that de-aged danny was aimed at fenton and phantom jumped in to take the hit but it got both of them - or open secret au, take your pick), still has chores, still has to deal with the ghosts that cause problems.

With barely a pause to question 'is that still danny?' everyone continues as normal.

Thing is, there's the typical information firewall we like to invoke to explain why the justice league doesnt know about amity. It blocks ghosts, Phantom, infinite realms, liminality and ecto-contamination, you name it.

What it doesnt block? Baby Hero.

As in, now that Phantom is tiny, everyone and their dog is taking pics and recording phantom to coo all over him on social media. Everyone is enjoying how adorable he is while it lasts. Even the rogues are playing nicer to soak it all up.

The justice league is concerned. Apparently there's some new hero (phantom has been active for over a year by now, minimum) operating in the midwest, and he is literally preschool age. Even the Robins didn't start that young! Who is raising this kid? What are they thinking?!

Its frustratingly hard to get any more intel about phantom (because the firewall is still catching everything else about him), so theyre gonna have to send someone in blind to scope out the situation.

Who do they send? You can decide, but i vote they put together a team: batman (wfa characterization) because he knows how to handle child vigilantes, wonder woman because everyone loves wonder woman and she's a good voice of reason, and zatanna (NOT constantine! Zatanna is more child friendly) to cover magical bases in case this is something like a captain marvel situation.

I remember when they first introduced infinite scroll on tumblr (the first place I saw it) I was SO HAPPY to be able to turn it off and paginate again. And when I thought about doing that again just a couple days ago I, again, felt this incredible sensation of joy. Almost as though my brain knows the awful things infinite scroll does to it.
