How popular do you think kiyotaka is or could have been. Cause I think about how he got top 10 in the character poll and then got 4th place on some poll question gay people which fictional character they would date. And just how popular/liked do you think taka is but due to the stigma around his family it's just not know.

That's a tough question! Just a warning that I' ll likely get heavily sidetracked here! But I think it would all come down to how his character is portrayed, both by the fandom and by DR itself. If things were to be altered and he became a survivor for example, that could probably completely change how liked he is by the fandom, especially considering he's already fairly well loved despite him not making it past chapter three. In the actual universe of DR... I don't think it's hard to find someone that doesn't like the guy. He's kinda got a bullseye painted on his back for people who do know who he is, and for people who don't. He says himself that because of how he is, he never really forms social connections (it's the tism). But I think that it would make Mondo befriending him, as well as just class 78 in general feel all the more special to him. I think he went into Hope's peak with no expectations, so when people were just genuinely nice to him from the get-go, I think it would've been SUCH tonal whiplash. I don't actually think that Mondo was his first friend in hope's peak! He was in the killing game, and I think that's because they became so close BEFORE then that the memory kinda managed to squeeze its way through completely subconsciously. I personally like the idea that his first actual friend was Sayaka! This is a shameless hc that comes ENTIRELY from her calling him nice in that relationship chart. It's also generally really funny to me because from a glance- like with mondo, they have practically NOTHING in common. But I think that Taka would be very quick to recognize and respect Sayaka and the work that goes into her profession. Here's a fun fact for you! At the very beginning of the game, we learn that there are online forums about hope's peak! Additionally through some introductions, we learn that many of these characters, including the ones that aren't outright famous, have fanbases! How odd! How creepy! I think that Taka's in-universe "fanbase" fucking SUCKS. It's not a fanbase as much as it is a cult following of people that obsessively hate-watch everything he does like you see with a lot of celebrities online. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have an online presence or celebrity status. If there's a will, there's a way, and they will not stop at finding a way. I think that sometime after Taka graduates, more specifically after a certain event that I'm yet to talk about in depth, Taka's fandom resurfaces. The old hatewatchers have mostly fizzled out, and now? NOW he is what one might call BASED. But among these fans there's a fairly large portion of people who are aware of what he went through for about 75% of his life, and use it to justify treating him like a child who doesn't know anything! They talk about him like a cuss word would kill him, or like he is completely unaware and oblivious to the concept of sex and how it's done. Now where have I heard that one before? Like I thought, this got INCREDIBLY sidetracked, but I wanted to try and cover a ton of ground, especially since I've been so late to all these asks lately. Sorry about that!

there’s a real serious issue in this fandom with not understanding what queer terminology actually means or implies, especially when applied to a fictional narrative.

i’m specifically talking about ‘coding’, here. (if i were in a more meme-y mood, i might have said ‘the atla fandom found out about the term “gay-coding” and haven’t shut up since’.)

to the people who say ‘zuko is gay-coded’, i have this to say: you keep using that word. i do not think it means what you think it means. because he isn’t. i’m sorry, but he’s not! and the fact that this is such a prevalent claim in this fandom is distressing, bc it says to me that none of y’all know what gay-coding is or when and how to apply it! please, i’m begging you, go and look up these terms and what they mean and when they should be used before actually trying to plug them into your critical analysis, because when you misuse them and then call other people delusional for disagreeing with you it casts a pall over the entire fandom and is, i think, the root of some of the worst toxicity this fandom has to offer.

and the thing is, there are cases where gay-coding would apply--for instance, a couple series that are famous for queerbaiting their audience by coding their main characters as being attracted to one another (sometimes even despite their openly stated sexualities) come to mind, but those shows bare no similarities at all to atla and how zuko was written and portrayed! (and it would be funny, if it weren’t so obnoxious and infuriatingly wide-spread throughout the fandom, because the only queer couple we actually seen on-screen in either show wasn’t even queer-coded in any respect, and they’re canonically bi! [yes, i’m shading korrasami, or more accurately i’m shading bryke for refusing to give ka the build-up and development they deserved].)

this absolutely isn’t to say that headcanoning zuko as gay is a bad thing or invalid in any respect. (although the tendency for zukka shippers to do this specifically to keep zuko away from katara and/or invalidate his canon relationship/attraction to girls is more than a little eyebrow raising. especially since sokka is usually allowed to be bi, bc fans have no problem letting sukka stay in the background bc it’s no real threat, while jetko shippers are happy to have both boys be bi. [possibly bc katara is less a threat to jetko bc jetkotara is every bit as valid as any single ship between the three, but zukka can’t exactly let katara join in, and if the potential exists for zuko to be attracted to her then canon giving them the far deeper emotional bond becomes a threat to zukka’s existence? idk for sure--you be the judge.]) i prefer to hc zuko as bi (and always have, long before the atla renaissance), bc i don’t think zuko being attracted to boys is outside the realm of possibility, and it isn’t a threat to my ship since zuko&katara had a deep and emotional bond in canon that is very easy to develop further into something that becomes explicitly romantic--but the headcanon itself isn’t really the problem (although what it’s often in service to can be).

it’s the strange insistence that this is the only way to read his character, bc he was coded that way and so anyone who doesn’t see it must be too straight to understand--and i really shouldn’t have to say why and how that is so incredibly fucking insulting. (the ‘hetero lenses’ comment wasn’t cute when it came from bryke six years ago, and the same sentiment being repackaged and delivered by zukka shippers ain’t cute now.)

calling zuko gay-coded not only demonstrates ignorance as to what the term actually means, and how to usefully apply it in critical analysis, but also validates the frankly bullshit insertion of institutionalized homophobia in the world of atla where it was neither needed, nor wanted, nor ever hinted at in canon. as a queer woman i’m still infuriated by one fucking comic panel shoving institutionalized and systemic homophobia into a world where it was entirely unnecessary (and doing this in the first installment of the franchise showcasing a queer relationship??? making korra and asami worried about ‘coming out’ when they could have just gone on to have cute adventures together and tell people ‘hey we’re dating’ and have everyone else be ‘that’s awesome =DDD’ [because it is, in fact, possible to just have a world without homophobia i promise!!!!!] double yikes, i’m still pissed at bryke about it), and i doubly hate that ‘zuko is gay coded’ has become so widespread that ‘ozai hates him bc he’s gay’ has become a staple in that part of the fandom.

not only does making zuko gay and implying (or outright stating) that ozai hated and abused him because of it completely undermine zuko’s character arc by making his abuse about his sexuality rather than ozai’s toxic pride and anger at seeing himself reflected in his ‘weak’ son, but it comes very close to outright stating that abuse and trauma are inherently gay experiences, and they aren’t!!! they really aren’t, i promise!!!

abuse and trauma narratives exist outside of ‘my dad hates me because i’m gay’. and, quite frankly, there are MORE THAN ENOUGH queer trauma narratives out in the world. we do not need to start trying to retroactively make them canon in a series where they didn’t exist! if you’re gay and see yourself in zuko and project your own experiences on him, that’s understandable and valid. that does not make zuko gay-coded. and honestly, the insistence that he is makes very little sense to me, because you’re essentially trying to give the show credit for work you put into interpreting the characters! why would you want to do that? why not own your own headcanons and take credit for them, rather than insisting they are canon and everyone else is wrong for not seeing them??? like, i’ve said before that i’ve always headcanoned zuko (and katara) as bi, and even support it with my interpretations of evidence from the show, but the difference between ‘i think zuko is bi’ and ‘zuko is definitely gay-coded’ is that i know that bi zuko is my interpretation of canon, and that it is work i’m putting into the show that wasn’t actually intended by the creators/writers, no matter how much sexual tension i read into the jetko swordfight.

and like, zuko’s character arc doesn’t actually parallel a queer one all that well to begin with. it’s easy enough to do the work and twist it sideways just enough to make the general points fit, but the fact is, zuko’s arc is not one of self-discovery. it’s not one of coming to understand something fundamental about himself that he can’t change, that he was hated for, and coming out to his father in a dramatic confrontation where he shows that he understands himself and doesn’t need his father’s acceptance to be fulfilled.

zuko’s arc is actually one of trauma and healing. and those can (and often are--like i said, there are more than enough queer trauma narratives in the world, atla really doesn’t need to be one of them) be part of queer narratives, for sure! but they aren’t uniquely queer. and zuko’s confrontation with ozai during the eclipse doesn’t read like a ‘coming out’ at all. (yes, i’ve seen that post. yes, i rolled my eyes and moved on, bc unlike some people, i’m capable of not clowning on correctly tagged posts i disagree with.) zuko is specifically confronting ozai over his abuse, because his arc wasn’t about discovering anything fundamental about himself (and therefore realizing that ozai was hating him for something he couldn’t change)--it was about realizing that he was not at fault for the way his father treated him. it was also about realizing that the fire nation was broken and corrupt at its core, and that his father was an aspect of that he needed to break away from so that he could help the world begin to heal.

he says it himself:

Zuko: No, I've learned everything! And I've had to learn it on my own! Growing up, we were taught that the Fire Nation was the greatest civilization in history. And somehow, the War was our way of sharing our greatness with the rest of the world. What an amazing lie that was. The people of the world are terrified by the Fire Nation. They don't see our greatness. They hate us! And we deserve it! We've created an era of fear in the world. And if we don't want the world to destroy itself, we need to replace it with an era of peace and kindness.

making this about zuko being gay and rejecting ozai’s homophobia, rather than zuko learning fundamental truths about the world and about his home and about how there was something deeply wrong with his nation that needed to be fixed in order for the world to heal (and, no, ‘homophobia’ is not the answer to ‘what is wrong with the fire nation’, i’m still fucking pissed at bryke about that), misses the entire point of his character arc. this is the culmination of zuko realizing that he should never have had to earn his father’s love, because that should have been unconditional from the start. this is zuko realizing that he was not at fault for his father’s abuse--that speaking out of turn in a war meeting in no way justified fighting a duel with a child.

is that first realization (that a parent’s love should be unconditional, and if it isn’t, then that is the parent’s fault and not the child’s) something that queer kids in homophobic households/families can relate to? of course it is. but it’s also something that every other abused kid, straight kids and even queer kids who were abused for other reasons before they even knew they were anything other than cishet, can relate to as well. in that respect, it is not a uniquely queer experience, nor is it a uniquely queer story, and zuko not being attracted to girls (which is what a lot of it seems to boil down to, at the end of the day--cutting down zuko’s potential ships so that only zukka and a few far more niche ships are left standing) is not necessary to his character arc. nor does it particularly make sense.

(and before anyone brings up his date with jin--a) he enjoyed it when she kissed him, and b) he was a traumatized, abused child going out on a first date. of course he was fucking awkward. have you ever met a teenage boy????)

anyway, uh, that was a lot of words, so have a tl;dr: zuko is not gay-coded. there is nothing uniquely gay (or even uniquely queer) about his character arc or characterization, and he was certainly not coded gay in an attempt to sneak a queer character past the censors. if anyone involved with atla was gonna try that, it would’ve been in lok, and as established, they didn’t even manage to queer-code the actual queer relationship before the last few minutes of the final episode. headcanoning zuko as gay is absolutely fine (though if it’s only done to keep him away from female characters he may otherwise be attracted to, that smells more like misogyny than anything else), but insisting that this reading is the only one that makes sense, and anyone who doesn’t agree must be straight (hello, queer woman here making this insanely long thinkpiece) is very much not.

ship what you like, but stop trying to invalidate other ships and other interpretations of characters just to make your ship seem more plausible. it’s really not a good look.

it’s also like Well Fine if the only plan for winston has always been & will continue to be [he’s a funny little guy] like yeah, he is, & that Is kind of fun in its own right sure, & obviously if they never do anything else with him then that’s what you have to take lol, and one can fill in blanks & interpret & hc things however, this that & the other thing is happening just out of frame, there’s so much that sure isn’t outright contradicted by canon b/c canon material for him is so fleeting & limited lol....but really it’s like. i mean just reflecting on how rian unlike winston was planned as a more Serious character to have more Prominence & it’s like good lord lmfao, i think winston is getting the better deal in this case even by having no character material or subplots. and of course even with better executed characters & threads, there’s a tradeoff with increased focus / material that affects or is affected by bigger plotlines more directly, since this is the show of having problems & eternal conflicts & clocking in at the sunk cost factory, any given character would be better off if they weren’t on it, so vibing tertiarily has it’s upsides lol, he's mostly hanging out, & if anyone was gonna defend him from the general insulting & rian being specifically dedicated to giving him shit, it’d presumably come at some additional cost since nobody’s been moved to try to improve such things for him just b/c they felt like it. also, really, society if there was actual material of rian & winston being friends normally, it was so promising lol & needlessly limiting that they Aren’t, as if like if rian did think he was fun & wasn’t out for his blood every day any moment, that nobody else would be pwning & insulting him, though ig nobody else is around him that much and taylor just doesn’t talk to him save for one scene one ep per season, & Someone’s got to do it....instead rian can have one connection and it’s a whatevership with taylor for the moment, are they friends? who can say. taylor could have a second employee, or personal something, or friend, but they have less potential material too for its being forbidden w/winston as this non character, or one too unserious and unsexy for the privilege of such material lol. yet for some reason they sure did posit in s6 that winston and rian are some kind of duo, except it’s so dominated by this bully/target dynamic lol and so little is glimpsed of friendlier moments b/w them that then are overridden by a return to the bullying that it’s like, i know friendship in billions is off the shits but if they’re supposed to be amicable beyond unilateral amicability from winston, i don’t know what you’re trying to show me here. however the fact that they have, maybe probably inadvertently as usual, shown us this incredibly An Autistic Character of all time, good god. and he is a funny little guy and i’ve carried him around since the fateful [all season three appearances] discovery day. and we’re kind of back to that zone in terms of limited expectations for his further material that we nevertheless know will exist lol after kind of gearing up like well i’m sure with all this recurring and the way other recurring tertiary funny little guys can be handled on this show and that now the actor isn’t busy w/a broadway show & look you introduced a friend and they immediately grab on to each other, it’s Winston Character Time i’m sure....and they were like haha what? and anyways. as a series of complaints, this has in actuality been like shaking Professional Appreciator thoughts out & stringing disjointed comments together into this post like pearls. tl;dr winston is a gem, who else is just like this. if nothing else, the particular Environment that is billions the series & the way it operates sure makes for an enriching execution of [woops, unknowingly writing an autistic person] lol, he can’t actually be too zany b/c the show isn’t overly solemn but has its limits and there’s already some other guys filling this niche of like being kinda more out there cartoony and weird, and he can’t be like, the ah. archetypical “this guy is so Impersonable but gosh darn it he’s a genius so you just gotta put up with him very much being an asshole on purpose” which is more serious (and prominent)........anyways: when you’re a quantnoisseur. literally me

You've gotten somewhat used to late nights without Bruno in the past few months. Work has been incredibly busy for him, and while you still have your own business to attend to, it never seems to come close to the amount of time that Bruno dedicates to his career. Like most nights, you get home, make yourself some tea, and sit down on the couch. Your apartment is beautiful, but without Bruno it sort of feels like it swallows you up. The walls seem closer than usual as you lean forward in your seat.

You had met Bruno when the mob was not new to him, but being a leader was. In fact, the first time you had ever met him was at Libeccio, a restaurant that the two of you now frequent; he had been with his two new employees, Pannacotta Fugo and Leone Abbacchio, when you stepped into the restaurant and met his somewhat frazzled gaze from across the room. You wound up having dinner with the three of them, and by the end of the night it was clear to you that you wanted to get to know the mysterious and oddly friendly Bruno Bucciarati a little better. After a few more dates, he divulged some of his life to you: he was involved in the mafia, which didn't come as too much of a surprise, and he was the new leader of a group of brand-new recruits. While you could tell that he was skilled at what he did, it was also pretty clear that he wasn't very confident in his ability to lead others. You can't quite remember exactly what you had said when he told you that he was nervous about being in charge of the lives of these recruits, but it was definitely something assuring. You could tell he had it in him.

It didn't take very long for Bruno to prove that. Over the next year or so, his team grew, and you've had the privilege of watching Bruno transform into a confident, powerful leader. He's always been vehement that you stay as far away from the mob as possible, so you haven't met any of his subordinates, but from the way he talks about them you can tell they love him. It's hard not to love Bruno, you've discovered; he makes you feel so comfortable, with his warm gaze and gentle voice.

That's why these past few months have been particularly hard on you. You suffer from insomnia that's worsened by feelings of anxiety, and not knowing whether Bruno is stuck at work filing papers or out risking his life doesn't help matters. You hold the mug in your hands close to your chest and you sigh, momentarily comforted by its warmth. You don't talk about your fears very often with Bruno, though you're sure he wouldn't mind, but right now you want nothing more than to wrap him up in your arms and hold him, away from the danger of of his work and anything that could cause him harm.

You stand up, too nervous to sit still, and you walk to the window. It looks down on the city of Naples, all blinking lights and fast cars speeding down the highways. It feels nice to take in such a large and busy city with a single glance. Wherever Bruno is you're sure he's fine.

But that doesn't quell the nagging thought that pulses at the forefront of your mind. Sometimes, on these lonely late nights, you wonder what happens when he leaves every morning. You've noticed the scars before; you've never actually seen him hurt, but you can't help but take note of the faded wounds spread across his body. You don't ask him about them, but you spend lots of time thinking about them - who did that to him? Had it been a close fight? Had he nearly been killed? You quickly drink some tea and turn away from the window, shutting your eyes. Wherever he is he's completely fine -

You jump and nearly drop the mug when the door opens. "I'm sorry!" Bruno says, eyes wide in surprise, and he quickly walks to your and takes the tea from your hands. "I didn't mean to startle you," he tells you, and he presses a kiss to your forehead.

You laugh breathlessly, leaning into his touch. "Don't worry about it."

When you part, Bruno looks at you and instantly notes your expression. "I'm sorry for being so late," he says softly, and when you start to shake your head he cuts you off. "No, I can see that you were worried. But you'll be happy to know that today was relatively uneventful - just sorting out the logistics of a mission later this week."

"Well that's good." You follow Bruno to the kitchen and watch as he sets your tea down and pours himself a glass of water. "How's everyone on the team?"

"They're fine. Fugo's been pissed off about something this week but he won't tell me what." Bruno smiles a little, looking up to meet your eyes. "I'm sure he'll talk eventually. Oh, and that Mista kid seems alright! I think you would like him, he's a funny guy."

"I bet I would like all of them," you say, and Bruno nods. You know you can't meet them, but you like to imagine that you'd all get along well. You haven't seen Abbacchio and Fugo since that dinner at Libeccio, but they seemed like good people. That's probably why they gravitated towards Bruno.

Bruno downs the rest of his water and sets down the glass. "Do you want to go to bed?" he asks, and you nod. Now that you're calmer, exhaustion is finally kicking in. "I'm sorry for worrying you," he says quietly as you follow him to the bedroom.

"Don't be sorry," you respond, reaching out and taking his hand gently in yours. "It's not your fault." He turns back and smiles at you, and you can feel the warmth of his love for you even through that single expression. You return the smile and head to the bathroom to wash up.

Once you're all finished, you trade places with Bruno and throw on your pajamas. Just having him with you, knowing that he's safe, has made you feel so much better. You love him so, so much, and you hope that he knows it. You get into bed and pull the blankets over yourself, bundling up and resting your head on your pillows. You wonder how many other people in Naples will be sleeping beside the love of their life tonight.

You hear Bruno enter the room and you feel him slide into bed next to you. You can feel his soft breaths on your neck, and you can't hold back your grateful smile. You turn around, meeting Bruno's surprised gaze, and you tell him, "I love you."

He's startled for a moment before the feeling fades and he's left with a smile, just as emotional, on his own face. "I love you too," he says, wrapping his arms around you. Your head rests against his neck as he holds you, and you can feel his voice as he speaks. "I love you so much." He kisses your head, holding you even closer, and you sigh. You hear him whisper one last thing: a small "thank you," before he quickly drifts off. Sleep comes easily to you now, in the arms of the man you love, and you finally rest in Bruno's embrace.

i dont know, i get why people didnt like the ending but its. .. . it makes more sense in the comicverse. bc the squad doesnt really. .. interact outside of jobs? i mean, think of the moon landing story in ttt. that was booker and joe and nicky doing a job and andy only showed up a for a couple minutes after it was done. or the brunch in the first issue of opening fire. the squad arent as tight in the comic, and andy often seems to do her own thing outside of work, so andy saying 'i dont want to do work anymore' and the squad being like 'alright bye then' makes more sense in this universe than the movie one

also i feel like greg was Trying to set up a thing where nile becomes the Leader of The Squad after andy dies but like. its not very well done since. . . i mean, nile hasnt spoken to booker since opening fire, (and she only knew him A Day). and shes known joe and nicky all that time, but there isnt really anything that indicates that they have any relationship at all, much less one that's grown. in all the comicverse the only time nile and nicky speak is in FM, and in that scene nicky tells nile about noriko. nile goes from someone who needs to be set aside to have background knowledge explained to her to being the Leader of the group with nothing in between. it kind of... comes out of nowhere.

on the other hand tho... i felt really bad for andy thru the whole thing. well, i always felt bad for andy, but in this one she seemed so miserable, especially since it really felt like none of the others actually.... cared about her. when noriko came back no one asked andy how she was doing (big question ik, but it wouldve showed they cared at least), nobody ever expressed any concern for her, no one even really seemed to want to be around her. in opening fire everyone was more distant than in the movie of course, but there were little moments where she would joke with joe, or nicky would try and comfort her, or stuff like that, but in FM it really felt like they just didnt really care about her. & in opening fire it felt a lot like andy's relationship with nile breathed some new life into her, but in FM it felt like all they did was argue. i get theyre not *as* close in the comics but it really felt like the only person who cared about andy at all was noriko (which was probably also how andy felt) but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. honestly i was reading and i was honestly agreeing with andy that she might just be better off if she did just die. opening fire, on the other hand, never make me feel that way

tho everyone made it sound like when the squad split up it was one of those cursed 'the found family leaves each other at the end of the journey' tropes. but guys i mean,,, this is the second installment out of three. that isnt the End. theyll come back in the third one and Dramatically Reunite to fight some baddies (probably those 'others' noriko mentioned). im guessing yitzhak fits into that too somehow.

anyways it wasnt That Bad but it made me kind of sad and the only Sweet Found Family vibes in it were when they saved booker. also they shouldve beefed up that nilemoose romance, it underwhelmed me. 6.5/10

None of them officially joined until they were a bit older but probably trained to eventually join the Vexos; in the mean time they probably worked for Hydron or something like that

Volt recruited at 11; Lync a year later and Mylene following not long after (respectively 13, 8, 12 when they’re all gathered)

My reasoning to why Volt is patient with Lync’s antics and Mylene less so but doesn’t lash out as badly as you think she would around annoying little kids; grew up tgt moment

Spectra probably forced his way into the Vexos like “hiiii i see you dont have any Vexos members <3″ bcs obv he wasn’t using royal scientist dad privelages (i think, bcs Clay seems horrified abt Spectra being a Vexos and well, being Spectra) 

Shadow had an advantage of being a nobleman (in terms of him being accepted into the Vexos’ ranks)

the Vexos and their set of rules magent-ed on the fridge door or something and every time they go over a page they have to staple/tape a new page on

[canon?] was going on a route to being an “idol brawler”, because that’s kind of what their brawls felt like, since it was all purely for show with some competition. it felt less like a sport and more spectacle.

I like the Gus needs glasses hc (shoutout to @marmeladebois ‘s post on that) 

The hc of him being half human and Runo’s half brother is so good 

Cooks well but refuses to help cook fr the Vexos (unless Spectra specifically asks) --> that job is usually left to Volt

Shadow Prove

inferiority complex or whatever, the only thing he bested his brother in was Bakugan

the Prove family being typical prim proper noble family and forcing Shadow to be repressed is something, but the Proves having the same kind of wavelength as Shadow but in different variations is funnier. They’re just Like That.

Probably not a military family, does work closely with the government still; um im thinking somewhere under the Fermins but not by much

Considered running away from home several times 

Unwillingly has knowledge on Vestal classic literature/ music

hard clutching a wall whenever he wants to join in on discussions about it bcs he knows this stuff but no way is he going to make himself look like a nerd + hes not actually that interested

has clowns > jesters debate with volt; obv he’s team clown, volt is team jester

Mylene Ferrow

While I like the idea of her being from a military family, I want to make her like Ling Wen (TGCF) in the sense she started from the bottom and climbed to the top... it fits her ambitious nature of grasping for more, she hasn’t reached what she considers the top just yet... 

[very Ling Wen specific but Mylene being put in jail fr crimes unknown to me and being recruited  by Hydron bcs she kicked serious ass is an entertaining thought] 

I like to think she’s closest to Shadow due to the fact he kind of forces his presence onto her so... not her choice in that matter. “annoying” to “endearingly annoying, you still aren’t getting special treatment though”

Ofc Volt and Lync are on the same level, but I think they all know when to give each other space so they’re more of a “we hold each other at a distance, but we’re aware of out closeness which is enough for us”

Then its Spectra and then Gus in the “closest to Mylene” scale; she just straight up hates Gus and it’s mutual

whoever made the “Mylene and Spectra were exes” hc I think it’s really funny so I’m adding it here 

terrible fashion, she’s the one who chose the outfits when she and Shadow went to earth; her fashionable armor look she usually has was designed with Volt’s help, she just voiced what she generally wanted 

Her red lipstick look was bcs she thought it’d make her look more serious/ intimidating (Volt and Lync approved, it rlly does work on her)

Shadow matches w/ her (via his red nails) after they get teamed up tgt several times bcs he thinks they’re basically the go-to duo matchup whenever they’re assigned work n it’d be cool

Very forthcoming about the fact she used to be considered a criminal and was from same rundown area Volt and Lync come from

She’s grateful she got out of jail but she still has no respect for Hydron and despite how much she tries to hide it she does make it pretty clear to him she doesn’t really like him

I wish I had more to say about her... but It’s all relationship esque, i think in general she’s enjoyable and good so what I want more out of her is character dynamics

Lync Volan

- Its two years after the whole Bonnie thing 

- Him and Alyssa dated for a while, but broke up due to separate personal problems. 

- Both of them needed a change 

- And to move on

- But neither could do that with the other

- He found a job and a flat and decided to try and start his life again

- Which is how he ended up meeting you 

- Its the first day of his new job

- And you’re training him

- Of course when you see him 

- You instantly recognize him

- So you’re only a lot little bit shocked when your boss says that this is who you’re going to be working with

he’s out of the country momentarily as a part of his school’s international trip

it’s just a week, but you both call each other every night

“you always say that, but i know you’re a picky eater, don’t lie to me” your little voice on the phone nags him and he wants to laugh

you’re always reminding him to eat all his vitamins and vegetables

no wonder his dads love you

“it’s probably late by you now, you should go to sleep” Sizhui tells you and he hears that whine that you always make before you both have to hang up

“but wanna keep talking to you,” you say back and Sizhui smiles

he feels the same way, but you’ll always be super tired in the morning if you sleep too late,

“i know, but you should sleep. i’ll call you tomorrow night and see you in two days,” Sizhui says, every night to you, like a countdown

it’s your favorite countdown

just the week apart has made him miss your face a lot

“hm...alright” 

Sizhui can tell from you lack of words that you’ve been holding off your sleepiness as best as you can in order to talk to him

he appreciates your efforts

“good night, y/n” he tells you

“hmm.. good night, i love you” you tell him, sleepily

Sizhui’s eyes widen at the words,

but when he check back the call had ended

he calls back immediately

by that he means a whole 20 minutes after

you pick up, a grouchy little greeting on your lips at being disturbed in your sleep

and you turn to him, a funny inquiring look on your face

he’d started saying this in high school when you guys first started dating

and he hadn’t stopped ever since

even though you’ve never said it back

but tonight

after 5 years of being together, the stars shining down on the city

you feel like it’s finally time

he’s holding your hand, so you immediately feel the difference when you respond

“okay just relax,” you assure Jin Ling as you help him put on his little blue blazer

it was an important day for him today

he was going on an interview for an internship that he really really really wanted

you’re already excited that he got through the other rounds

as for Jin Ling, he just wants to have all of it in the bag, 

as he likes to win with most things

but i digress

“you’ll be fine, it’ll be great” you assure him, when you see the way that he’s lingering by the threshold of your doorway

“i...let me check my bag one more time..to see if i have all the papers-”

“you already checked it like three times before, you have everything. start going before you’re late” you laugh at him

and Jin Ling wants to laugh with you too,

knows that he should be laughing and relaxing more, but 

his whole academic career path was riding on whether or not he was going to get into this internship cohort

and it was a lot

you sigh when you see the nervous, anxiety inducing face that he makes before anything important

and you lean in, pulling him into a warm hug

when your arms wrap around his torso, you pat his lower back, easing the tension that he was feeling thrumming in his body

in your arms, he feels all the anxiety leaving and hugs you back

when you both let go, you smile up at him, pushing him out of the door with the momentum of the hug that you gave him

“you’ll do great, i love you!” you tell him, a smile on your face

“i love you too” he replies as he turns away

and it takes him a few minutes

actually 15 minutes

when he’s at the bus stop, waiting for the correct bus to come

for him to realize that you both had just said ‘i love you’ to one another

the thought of your voice saying that to him colors his cheeks red

and the way that he easily said it back

like he knew those words belonged together

warms his heart with enough confidence to take anything on

even his interview

Ouyang Zizhen

he’s reading in bed, the lamplight on low as your leaning close to him

you’re each doing your own kind of work, but still being in the company of each other

which was absolutely the best feeling

and Zizhen appreciates when you’re close to him like this, because he can simply hold you and feel you beside him

which is why he knows right away that you’ve fallen asleep

he’s getting to the climax of the book when a part of his arm feels heavy

Zizhen turns to his side when he feels your hair tickle him just under his chin

he smiles at the way you’re sleeping, mini-notebook with notes in your hand and your laptop sprawled in your lap

when he glances at the clock, he thinks its time to call it a night as well

as quietly as he can, Zizhen begins to clear everything away from the bed, careful not to wake you up

you don’t really wake, not until he tries to pull your pencil and notebook away from you

and you whine a bit

but Zizhen has learned well how to coax you 

he finishes putting all your things aside and shuts the light off, helping you lay down beside him

when his arms come around you, you turn into his chest

he looks down at where you’re laying, overcome with such a...such a feeling

that even though he doesn’t think you’ll hear, 

“i love you,” he tells you

and watches you dig you face a big deeper into his chest

his heart is already full with your small actions of affections, but when he fully lies down next to you

hears you breath out,

“i love you too,” seconds later in the dark

and he feels so incredibly loved

he holds you close and sleeps

Martin Septim HC’s (PT.2)

So, y’all liked my first post and wanted more of our boy so here ya go! This time its separated into 4 parts: Farmer, Sanguine Cultist, Priest, and Parent headcanons. 

Part 1

Farmer

- Martin’s father was a farmer, which meant Martin had to help out with the crops a lot. They probably didn’t make a whole lot of money or anything like that, but they did make an honest living. It kept Martin and Papa Mar alive at least. 

- It is likely they grew “in-ground” crops like wheat and vegetables. They likely didn’t have room for animals and crops like tobacco that you have to dry. Papa Mar did know quite a bit about herbs though. 

- Papa Mar was also probably the local hookup, if ya know what I mean. Growing crops like canibus in behind his house and selling it to the locals. 

- Martin helped out with all the crops but his favorite thing to grow was flowers. He loved watching them grow through all the different seasons and watch them change. His favorite is the Chionodoxa because they grow just as spring begins. 

- Oh and his favorite fruit is an apple. His father’s biggest seller was the apples off of their huge apple tree and Martin grew up eating all kinds of apples. When he's feeling lonely or stressed he eats apples or anything apple flavored.  

Sanguine Cultist

- As a cultist, Martin was kind of awkward at first. A lot of the patrons actually knew him through his father so that made him “popular” already. 

- After he got settled in though, he really went wild. Drinking a lot, doing a lot of drugs, doin’ the ho ha, just partying like a madman.

- But, he never lost his kindness. He was always the person who had the painkillers or who would hold your hair back as you puked. He was definitely the “mom friend” of the cult. 

- I’d like to think Sanguine knew that Martin was the Emperor’s son. When you give Martin Sanguine’s staff, he implies that he once wielded it, which makes me think he was Sanguine’s Champion at one point and just decided to turn his life around. 

- In my last post, I said that Martin turned his life around because he kept having dreams and hallucinations about Akatosh and his whole “time” sphere. I think Akatosh was trying to get him on the right path and put him where he could become the next Emperor. 

- Once Martin does become Emperor, everyone in the cult who knew him back then was like: 

Priest 

- Once our boy decided to turn his life around he went to the church. Eventually, the dreams stopped the more he prayed and spread Akatosh’ word. 

- When Martin became a priest, he was very overachieving. Always down to stay late and clean or move boxes. Anything he could do to help, he did. The people of Kvatch really relied on him because he could do anything and do it right. 

- A lot of the time, the temptation to go back to the cult was strong. He didn’t have any responsibilities or worries. But he remembered how empty he felt and prayed and the urges went away. 

- Martin loved being a priest, but a lot of the jobs were hard. The worst part of the job was the funerals. He would sometimes be forced to preside over those and then just feel so horrible afterwards. Sometimes he would just go home and cry. 

- When he became Emperor, the first real thing he did was rebuild Kvatch, and restore the Temple of Akatosh. He also had a shrine made so he could keep it in his room and pray, because it often gave him a lot of comfort.

Parent

- Martin really is a great father all in all. When you first tell him you're pregnant, he’s absolutely ecstatic. Martin loves kids and they love him. Of course, when you do become pregnant he practically confines you to the bedroom. You can’t go anywhere without like 4 guards surrounding you. It's a nightmare really. 

- Now, instead of pregnancy let's talk adoption for yall who love him and can't have babies. Martin is likely the one to bring it up. When he was visiting a town or something he saw an orphaned kid and was like “gimme gimme” and kidnapped them. 

- When the kid is incredibly young, Martin won’t let them out of his sight. He is such a hover parent it's not even funny. Being Emperor, he has a lot of enemies, so he worries for his bab’s life a lot. 

- He cannot for the life of him figure out how to change a diaper. He just sits there kinda staring at them like “so...how are you?” while he struggles immensely. 

- But, he absolutely loves bath time. He finds them so cute surrounded by bubbles and their little toys, he just dies every time. (oh god not again Martin stop dying) 

- The kid is gonna be really smart. Like, they are gonna probably be one of the most intelligent people ever. They’ll also be pretty “battle smart” seeing as Martin and you are their parents. 

- Martin won’t force religion onto his kids, but he’d definitely encourage it. He’d also make doubly sure to keep his kid away from Daedra worship. He ain’t about to let his kiddo fall into that hole too. 

- The kid will absolutely, 100%, be spoiled. But, if they use it to only benefit themselves, hurt others, or look down on people because of it, they are gonna lose everything until they understand what it means. Martin has always been a morally upstanding guy, and won’t stand for that.

The party was elaborate to say the least... The crystal chandeliers illuminated the glass mansion where the party was being held.

 The marble floors sparkled. You had never seen somewhere more beautiful and you felt a bit out of place. You stood in the ball room with your boyfriend, in a f/c dress. The lace rabbit mask that covered your face was tied around your head with a black satin ribbon. Chrollo Lucifer, had his arm wrapped protectively around your waist. You looked up at him, laughing softly at his fox mask, “I’m sorry,” you said giggling, “it’s just that I wouldn’t have thought you would pick woodland creatures.” Chrollo’s eyes were hidden behind his mask but you watched his lips quirk up into a playful smile. “Oh? And what’s so funny about that?” he asked the grip on your waist tightening. “I-it’s just that, I figured you’d have chosen something a bit more ferocious than a fox...” He moved you in front of him as a caterer passed carrying a tray of champagne. Chrollo’s fingers dug into your hips and he breathed his words against your neck. “The fox is ferocious, to the rabbit,” he said and nipped softly at the skin of your neck. Your breath hitched in your throat. Why was he always teasing you like this? His fingers found their way to the leather band that was wrapped around your neck. “And you’re wearing your collar, such a good girl you are...” he kissed your cheek carefully, letting his lips linger. Your knees were weak, and you could feel your panties getting wet already. You wished he’d given you more time before introducing you to the very well known “art traders” and “personal assistants” and such. 

You knew virtually nothing about this party, except that it was an annual masquerade ball and that Chrollo was a... colleague, of the host. But you were discovering that this was a party for the most elite criminals, in the world. You sipped nervously at the champagne you had snagged off of a tray. You looked around to see all  of the faces gazing back. It was both dazzling and unsettling to be watched through the eye holes of different faces, devils, dogs, cats, spider web like designs, and birds. You brushed your hand over your collar wondering if it was so obvious to the others. A rabbit, collared by a fox. The thought itself had you squeezing your thighs together. You downed your glass of champagne and grabbed another from a glinting silver tray. 

“Pardon me, it’s just that you are so incredibly beautiful, it would have been wrong for me to not say anything.” You turned to see Chrollo eyeing you through his fox. “May I?” he asked as he reached for your hand.You nodded slowly, the lace rabbit ears bobbing. He took your hand and lead you to the dance floor. You swigged the rest of that champagne and placed the glass on the closest surface to you, before making it to the dance floor. He clasped your lace gloved hand in his. “Closer,” he said tugging you into him. He held onto you tight and slowly began to dance you around the room. “I feel like everyone is watching us,” you said noticing the wandering eyes of the different creature faces. “They probably are, you’re a beautiful dancer,” he said. As you danced around, the bubbles began to go to your head and you giggled softly in delight. Chrollo held you close against his chest and you placed your head against his breast pocket. You drew little circles on his tuxedo with your fingers. “Hey,” you said looking up at him. He glanced down at you, waiting for you to state your desire. But you didn't say anything, just bit your lip and trailed your wandering hand lower. “Be careful, are you sure you want to start this game, bunny?” You laughed deviously and then said with your most sincere tone, “I’m sure I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You couldn’t see him do it, but you were sure he raised an eyebrow at you. “Is that so?” You nodded assuredly then asked if you could take a break from dancing. Chrollo pulled out his pocket watch. It was 7:52pm, “dinner will be serves in 8 minutes but we can rest here.” He gestured to the chairs along the wall of the ball room. 

Chrollo was about to take his seat but before, he bowed to you and took your hand. “Thank you, for the dance,” he said and he pushed down the lace of your glove and planted a soft kiss to your wrist. He then sat in the chair and pulled you onto his lap. You straddled his legs with your own. “Move,” he commanded. “Move?” you asked softly worrying that even with the music someone might over hear your conversation. You were about to ask Chrollo if it was safe to eat, seeing as it looked like watered down blood, when he whispered in your ear. “Give me your panties.” You looked at him, wide eyed, through your rabbit face. “Go on,” he encouraged, “I thought rabbit’s liked to fuck.” You looked back to the badger woman, who looked back at you... How were you going to manage this? “Do you read?” you heard someone ask Chrollo. You knew then you would be ignored if you didn’t do as he asked. You checked again and no one seemed to be paying much attention to you. You took a spoonful of soup and then somehow managed to pull your thong below your ass without anyone seeing. -when bnha was first gaining traction on tumblr, it was all art of Tsuyu. I have no idea why. People were talking about the funky frog lesbian superhero anime. Maybe it was just the people I was following, maybe it was a general trend, but I LOVED her design!!! my fav color and frogs r super cute!!! And I already loved superhero media, so I was like. I’ll watch it. For Her. SO. FROPPY IS THE REASON I WATCHED/READ BNHA. I went in thinking she was the protag and I was sooo confused when Izuku was... tbh I still think it’d be more interesting if she was lmaooo aus where? ...seriously if anyone has good aus where this is the case send them LOL

-I don’t actually feel that bad abt what Shigaraki’s doing. I still feel bad for him. I’m this post. yes im an apologist. its not my fault hes sexy and has been running around shirtless. hes a lesbian icon like thor is. -HOW DID TOGA GET SO GOOD AT FIGHTING? We know she’s been on the run since middle school or so, but good enough to pin Deku down after he’s been formally trained at a ~hero school~ for a while? (she pinned him TWICE I think, once when his arms were messed up, but, the other time as Camie, so? AND THEN WAS ONE OF THE 100 PEOPLE TO GO THRU TO THE 2ND ROUND OF THAT? even tho she didn’t bc she had to leave) good enough to beat Aizawa in a fight and stab him? A professional hero and teacher for YEARS? Is that seriously just street training??? Can people acknowledge how amazing her combat skills and reflexes are??? More Toga appreciation when?? Also her backstory??? SO subversive and incredible, hate when people reduce her to just a ~typical anime yandere~ :/

-Tomura doing stuff with his hands/fingers to train his quirk!!! And to learn to be careful with it!! obv I’m a Big Fan of him playing piano to do this and video games are prob the canon answer, but like, guitar or any stringed instrument that requires Hands would work too. Or knitting/sewing? EMBROIDERING? ??? Please, let me give you the mental image of him knitting aggressively while mentally scheming, watching a twitch streamer or smth too while doing it. (Doing stuff with your hands is a great way to let your mind come up with creative stuff, that’s how I come up with writing/drawing ideas 70% of the time)

-Tomura actually PREFERS cutesty, relaxing games. I mean, he does fighting and bloody stuff irl, games are a way to relax...he’ll play shooters and gta type games with The Lads, but. on his own?? animal crossing. pokemon. kirby games. mario. zelda. BIG ZELDA FAN (not saying this bc I, personally, am biased, but,) slime rancher, stardew valley, funny simulator games... he really enjoys those :”) God forbid he has a kid bc they’re 100% getting named after a viddy game character unless someone can talk him out of it LOL. Toga and Tomura are that animal crossing /doom meme where she’d be asking for doom and him asking for animal crossing :”)

-Bits and pieces of Before are kinda stuck in Kurogiri’s brain, but like. mostly useless stuff the doctor didn’t care about removing. Like, types of clouds. So Tomura kinda picks up on stuff like that. He can just look at clouds and tell you what type they are because Kurogiri used to take him up to high places in the city and point them out to calm Tomura down from a panic attack when he was younger. He can tell you if the sky looks like it’ll rain with a 80% accuracy rate too. 

-Kurogiri left food out for kitties in the alley beside the bar. They weren’t allowed in for Health Reasons (it IS a bar with sanitation standards!!) And Tomura really wouldn’t stop it or encourage it either way so long as Kurogiri did his job, but occasionally would stand outside with Kurogiri and just watch the kitties from a distance. If any approached he’d go back in (lowkey afraid he’d hurt them by touching them :( ) They kinda kept that between them tho, bc they both Know AFO is a big bag of dicks and no fun

-people have pointed out how similar aizawa and tomura look. this was 100% the intention. tomura has a hatecrush on him. THIS IS SO FUNNY AND HORRIBLY AWKWARD FOR KUROGIRI LMAO

-Sako??? Mr. Dramatic?? Opera fan. Drama kid. Like, obviously, but. Really. He is. I feel like he can speak a dozen languages. I also feel like he used to be an overachiever but got too ambitious. He was def some kind of leader at one point of a diff Group or something that fell apart. I LOVE how creative he is with his quirk and the magician theme??? incredible. I don’t show him enough love but I Love Clowns :o)

-I don’t care what their canon heights are. Spinner and Dabi? short kings. My height hcs are (tallest to shortest) Kurogiri, Twice, Sako (who also has heels on his boots and a tall hat, keep in mind), Tomura, Magne (Tomura and Magne are about the same height imo) Toga, Spinner, Dabi. LISTEN. Dabi has short energy. Sorry. it’s true tho

-This is a semi-popular hc I think bc I KNOW I’ve seen it before, but Dabi having Terrible Vision and needing glasses is so so good. (seriously, with burns THAT close to his eyeballs, how could he not?) 

-he tries to be a tough loner coolguy. you’d think he’d smoke, but I hc his ‘weak constitution’ comes with weak lungs (esp from years of a flame quirk?? inhaling smoke over so much time is SO bad for you, most people who die in fires actually die of smoke inhalation...) so he’s got like, an inhaler, can’t smoke, actually gets carsick, needs glasses, overuses quirk to save friends constantly, likes napping, a little awkward and rude. Tomura put him in charge of the vanguard so he’s smart, and good with strategies too, like a nerd. this is the Dabi I wanna see, not the popular fandom version of him tbh also step on hawks one more time sir :”)

-I wish all the lov fics weren’t?? villain!deku like I said earlier, but also, chatfics? I have nothing against them but most of them are just a bombardment of Memes with NO PLOT!!! Listen. text/chatfics CAN have plot and be an interesting way to tell a story. I almost want to write one just to show what I mean...

after seeing dumpywoof’s post I was inspired to do a tier list of my own!!! and boy howdy do I have some hot takes of the century it turns out,,,

the seasons are more or less organized in descending order within the same row as well (e.g. MC 4 > MC 5). also, shamefully copying dumpywoof & putting a detailed & overly verbose explanation for each season:

S Tier

Terraria 3: For me, absolutely nothing compares to Terraria 3. No other season combines such perfect participant dynamics with such heart-wrenching drama—not to mention the existence of Team New Kids who make me cry on a daily basis, or the incredible fake twist ending. It would be a sin to put this season anywhere but alone at the very top. Also props for being the only (1 of 2) post-show that actually includes all of the cast.

 A Tier

Minecraft 4: This is the best season for shenanigans alone, hands-down. It’s largely just the participants shooting the shit together, especially in the latter half of the season when it gets down to just the four of them. & I have a huge soft spot for men being wholesomely foolish together I suppose, so here it goes fhdhfhd.

Minecraft 5: To be honest, I have not seen this season since it released, which is a crime, I know, I’m sorry :orb: But I remember it being very very good, & I cannot imagine my taste will have changed that dramatically in just a few years, so. in truth, this one might be actually better than MC 4, but as I have not seen it in many years I can’t say that for certain. Either way, though, it’s definitely one of the best seasons out there.

MineZ 1: To me, MineZ 1 is the reverse of MC 4: low on shenanigans & high on drama. It’s pre-Todd era, but the editing in this one is honestly Todd-level, I would say. It’s so incredibly tense, especially the scene with McJones & PBG trying to escape the caves, and I feel like the sheer stress of it all brought out a new side of a lot of the participants, most notably Dean—who sounded genuinely agonized at times. A very very quality season all around, IMO.

Terraria 2: This season probably objectively deserves to be B tier, but I am it giving A tier for personal bias. I just,,, love the dynamics okay. Jeff & McJones especially made for a killer duo. It was a rare instance of McJones being the funny man himself rather than being the straight man to someone else’s funny man; he was super uncharacteristically goofy & almost borderline flirtatious at times, it really made for some good moments fhdhfjd. Plus then you got McJones solo commentary at the end which I greatly enjoyed. Just,, a very enjoyable season, very mid-HC era, very light & easy to watch, all that good stuff.

Diablo II: Man,,,,this absolutely 100% does not deserve A tier, I know, I’m sorry, but I just can’t bring myself to put it lower. I have A tier love for it :orb: Admittedly, the game is horrendously ugly and confusing to watch, but the shenanigans + the cast dynamics win me over in the end. Paul especially was great in this, & I hope he makes a return someday. Loving fathers Paul & Jirard with their sorceress son McJones making their way through the end-game just cannot be beaten. (Anti-shoutouts to Ross though, I don’t know anything about him, I am sure he is a lovely man, but GOD. WHY DID HE KEEP RUNNING OFF ON HIS OWN & GETTING LOST BUT THEN FORCEFULLY REFUSING HELP,,, ROSS YOU ARE THE WORST DHDHFJDJD)

 B Tier

Minecraft 7: Boy,,, this is going to be a controversial take fhhfjdjf. I just don’t know how to explain it, but something about MC7 felt,,,, Very off. I don’t know what it was, just something about the season seemed very,,, almost like you could tell things were falling apart behind the scenes, & they were trying to pull it back together but weren’t quite succeeding. It’s not a bad season in any regards, of course, I just,, don’t enjoy it nearly as much as a lot of others,, it’s missing that crucial spark of life in my opinion,, also Dean leaving to go to work was kind of strange,, I get it, it’s probably difficult to work around his real-life job,, but it felt strange,, he got like temporary immunity. Nothing like that had ever happened before I don’t think. And also they never even explained why Dean wasn’t there for like three episodes fjdjfjhd,,

Minecraft 3: God I feel like I just keep digging myself into a deeper & deeper hole here fhsjfjd,,, but man, I did like MC3 to be honest. It wasn’t the best season, it kind of went nowhere, but I liked the cast & there was a lot of good funnymoments. Smooth & Shane were very good guests who I feel like really rounded out the season, & Jontron did not come off as terribly overbearing as I believe that he has in other seasons. Overall, pretty decent, I’d say.

 C Tier

Minecraft 2: MC 2 & MC 3 are very similar, but I think MC 2 is slightly worse, both in terms of entertainment & cast. NCS & Kyrak did not hit like Smooth & Shane did,,, and I feel like just everything that happened in this one was fairly forgettable. I was torn as to whether this should be a B or a C, but I put it here in the end just to drive home that I really don’t like it as much as MC 3, I don’t believe.

Minecraft 6: Oh lord, this is a nuclear take fhdjfjd. Again, this isn’t a bad season at all, it has its good moments, especially Chad & Dodger, they are angels & I love them & want them back. But boy,,, just. Many things went wrong here. None of the twists panned out like,, at all, which I know isn’t necessarily anyone’s fault, the concept of this twist & of twists in general is very good. But it fell so flat here, especially with the revival. There was,, no debate at all about what to do. They hyped it up like they had this big decision to make, but then nobody made any effort to dramatize it at all. It was basically just Dean deciding by himself and everyone just sitting back & letting him. For the record, I have no qualms with the fact that Dodger was revived, I fully agree that she deserved it over McJones, but it was not played well at all IMO,,,      I do have to admit, though, with a fair amount of sheepishness, that the thing that most sullies this season for me is McJones’s death. Just,,, his horrible, so so avoidable, insanely early death, coupled with his retirement shortly thereafter & him becoming so jaded with hc that he expressed borderline hostility & hatred towards it just,,, hurts. I kinda don’t wanna see the events of MC 6 now knowing the aftermath. I understand fully that this particular point is not something most people care about to say the least dhfhdjd, but,,, in all honesty, I really don’t have any desire to rewatch this one, as objectively good as it might be. It was a win but it felt like a loss, if that makes sense. Also the post-show lacked all three people I actually wanted to hear from fhdjfjd neither the two people who could’ve been revived nor the actual person who did the reviving were there to share their insight & perspectives on it :pensive: 

 D Tier

Starbound: man,,, starbound. This is a very mixed bag for me. On one hand, I disagree with people who say that it was boring or that nothing happened, I found it very tense, Todd’s editing had me on edge throughout every episode. But on the other hand,,, man. Very few memorable moments, what even happened in this one,, also I feel like the game mechanics/plot weren’t explained very well, I feel like I remember being vaguely confused all the time as to what was happening. Probably will not ever rewatch either.

 Have Not Seen

DayZ: I will not ever be watching this season both because I do not know anything about DayZ & because from what I’ve heard it was an absolute disaster, I’m just not interested in getting involved in that fhdhfjdk

Terraria 1: There’s not really a reason I haven’t watched this one. Just,, I haven’t made my way down to the earliest seasons yet. Although as mentioned before, I have seen a few clips of this season, & Jontron seems to be pretty obnoxious in this one, so I don’t how much I’ll enjoy the parts with him in it, but I definitely do want to watch it someday.

Minecraft 1: The same as Terraria 1, I just happen to not have seen this one by chance. But unlike T1, I am much more looking forward to actually watching it, it seems really good, I want to experience that legendary very first season at last dhdhfjd

MineZ 2: Man,,, many things about the behind-the-scenes of this season make me sort of uncomfortable honestly. Just,,, the visceral second-hand shame & embarrassment of someone in the hc fandom being so rude & bothersome to the cast,, somehow it makes me feel personally responsible even though I didn’t do anything fhdjfj,,, Also,, once again continuing with the trend of me being saddened by McJones expressing dislike for seasons fhdjfjd,, I do recall him saying, regarding this season, something like “I think it would’ve been better if we just never did this,” which,,, ow. That doesn’t make me particularly enthused to watch it fhdjfjd. I probably will end up watching this season someday to be honest, but I’m not looking forward to feeling the cast’s frustration & unhappiness with the situation,, (EDIT: I want to be clear that there is no actual drama surrounding minez 2!!! it is a perfectly fine season, there is nothing wrong with it, it just happens that I personally am bothered by the fact that there was a lot of like,,, frustration coming from the participants regarding the player who was stalking them. this in no way means that minez 2 is an objectively bad or problematic season!! if minez 2 is your favorite season I completely respect you, there is nothing wrong with that!! there is a lot to like about the season as a whole!!! I just personally care too much about mcjones having a bad time in seasons bc it’s what ultimately led to his retirement, & that makes me sad fjdhfjdjd. but it has come to my attention that my wording made it sound like there was drama about minez 2, which there never actually was, I am very very sorry for my unintentional yet poor choice of words.)
