- every once in a while he'll stay in lucifers room while lucifer is doing paperwork. he'll just lay down on his bed, watch and play games and even fall asleep

Branch from Trolls has PTSD, paranoia, depression, and anxiety and you can't change my mind! (Part 1: Trolls) (SPOILERS FOR A MOVIE THAT CAME OUT 8 YEARS AGO BUT JUST IN CASE 😅)

(This entire three-part analysis was SUPPOSED to be completed in its entirety by the end of May since it's for mental health awareness month, buuuut...I couldn't finish it in time (had to take a break and take care of myself because my PTSD has relapsed lately...AGAIN... I've been getting triggered really easily by just about anything and I hate it so much 😑), but at least the FIRST part is ready in time...so here we go!

Branch is my favorite character in DreamWorks' Trolls franchise, and for many reasons. One of them being that he is very relatable. As someone with PTSD, paranoia, depression, and anxiety myself, I find it easy to put myself in Branch's tiny Troll feet and feel how he feels. (I also headcanon him as autistic, which I also am, but that's a post for another day). With this series of posts I will be analyzing his character journey and how his mental struggles affect him and his life. I will only be going over the three theatrical films in the franchise in these analysis posts, because, while his mental struggles are ABSOLUTELY present in the TV shows, I haven't seen every episode of the TV shows and I have a lot to discuss with just the three movies because I love Branch and relate to him so much.

So, to start this analysis, let's take a look at the first Trolls film. When Branch is first introduced, he is a grumpy, depressed, pessimistic gray Troll, and the only Troll in the village who doesn't sing, dance, hug, or party.

He instead chooses to spend all his time working on gathering supplies and rations for his, as he says "highly camouflaged, heavily fortified, Bergen-proof survival bunker." He lives in the bunker and has enough provisions to last him ten years…eleven if he's willing to store and drink his own sweat…which he is (gross).

Branch always feels the need to be crazy over-prepared for everything (so do I), no matter how crazy it drives the others (same here). The other Trolls all say that he ruins everything by interrupting their fun and panicking that "The Bergens are coming!" when in reality there's no Bergen in sight and there hasn't been for 20 years by that point and he's just paranoid. To them, he's basically like the boy who cried wolf…or in this case, the Troll who cried Bergen.

When Poppy invites Branch to her party, Branch immediately declines, saying that he "wouldn't be caught dead at her party" before adding that all the others "will be caught and dead" because of how big, loud, and crazy it's going to be. Branch frustratedly declares that Poppy's party is just gonna lead the Bergens right to the Trolls, and they all just brush his warning off because they haven't had to worry about Bergens in 20 years. That night, during the party, Branch is out collecting more provisions and he looks at the party from afar, scoffing at the others and their carefree attitudes before retreating back to his bunker. Before he knows it though, Poppy is banging on his door because a Bergen attacked the party and took all her friends. Branch, in his paranoia and anxiety, drags Poppy inside the bunker with him and sets up all his traps as they sit and wait in silence before Poppy tells him the Bergen is gone.

Branch, still paranoid, doesn't believe her and says that it could still be out there "watching…waiting…listening…" He clearly feels like he can never let his guard down, always on hyper-alert, checking for any danger. This is a common symptom of PTSD - hyper-vigilance (I have this symptom myself), and it can contribute to paranoia, making it even worse (it definitely does for me, and it looks like it's the same for Branch).

When Poppy asks him to go to Bergen Town with her to save everyone, Branch, with no hesitation, says no, that they're not his friends, they're Poppy's friends, and that he's staying in his bunker because his bunker is safe. He takes her down to the lower levels of the bunker, and this is where we see some obvious evidence of his mental state. There is frantic fear writing ALL OVER THE WALLS, and it says things like, "Run", "Danger", "Bergens eat us", "Teeth in the night", among many other things that are hastily scribbled and illegible (though Branch has bad writing in general, so it's already hard to read, but my point stands). He's even got multiple papers with horrifying drawings of the Bergens hung up on that wall as well. I have never really seen anyone else in this fandom talk about the writing all over Branch's walls, so I'm gonna talk about it myself. It makes it look like the poor guy spiraled, lost control, and had a manic episode…or eleven.

(Seriously, just LOOK at all this!!! This man is NOT okay!!!)

He's clearly TERRIFIED of Bergens, and wants to do everything in his power to avoid ever encountering one (which, fair, they do wanna EAT the Trolls, so that's a valid fear). Branch's fear of Bergens though, is not a normal fear, it seems to be a phobia, which would explain the paranoia. Obviously there's something going on inside his head involving Bergens that will definitely be revealed later. (foreshadowing)

Poppy completely disrespects Branch's needs, wishes, and privacy by letting all the other Trolls into the bunker while she goes to save her friends that got taken. This kinda made me upset because Branch clearly didn't give her permission to invade his personal space like that and make his own home suddenly feel unsafe with everyone there going through his stuff all at once. He freaks out when it's "Hug Time" because he doesn't want to be touched, especially not by all these Trolls he doesn't trust, so he packs a backpack and goes after Poppy, saving her from some spiders.

(This is honestly really upsetting to watch, she totally disrespects and ignores his boundaries here and it hurts to see him freak out over Hug Time because I also hate being touched, which means I also dislike hugs as a result of that...I only willingly hug my grandparents, that's it, no one else, not even my own parents.)

The whole way to Bergen Town, Branch is gloomy, brooding, and irritable. He tells Poppy that the world isn't all "cupcakes and rainbows" when she asks what happened to him to make him the way he is.

Poppy and her constant singing get on his nerves, the worst instance of this being when she starts singing at night when he's trying to sleep, making him angry enough to throw her ukulele into the campfire, burning it.

(This scene always gets a laugh out of me, the way it's animated is just perfect comedy XD)

Singing is clearly triggering for him, which we find out why later on when he adamantly refuses to sing with the others when they're trying to help Bridget get a date with King Gristle by giving her a makeover. Poppy asks him why he won't sing and he responds with (probably) the most iconic line in the entire film (and not one that people seem to be able to take seriously…but I take it as seriously as can be): "BECAUSE SINGING KILLED MY GRANDMA, OKAY?!"

(His facial expressions here as he tells the story of what happened to his grandma are just...DreamWorks nailed it, and also the knee hugging pose...he's just like me for real 🥺)

We then see a flashback of a young Branch, happy and colorful, singing his heart out, but the Chef Bergen comes for him and he's so lost in song he doesn't notice, or hear his grandma warning him.

This causes his grandma to push him out of the way, and get taken instead.

Branch is so distraught by his grandma's sacrifice, that he loses all his happiness and becomes depressed, turning gray in the process, and vowing to never sing again.

(This poor child had to witness his grandma meet her untimely demise...and he blames himself for it...that's really depressing in my opinion, I seriously don't understand why people find this scene funny, it triggered my own PTSD really BAD the first time I watched it...I'm used to it now so I don't have my PTSD triggered by it anymore but it still hurts to watch.)

Now the bigger picture is clear. He's got PTSD and paranoia involving the Bergens because of what happened with his grandma as a child. His grandma's sacrifice also started his severe depressive state, as evidenced by him turning gray immediately after she got taken. When the flashback ends, Branch is staring silently and sadly out the window, looking like he's trying not to cry, his depression getting a hold of him once again.

(Again, DreamWorks really nailed the facial expressions here...he looks so broken 🥺)

I understand how he's feeling in that scene, my grandma is my LIFELINE, the person I feel the safest with…seriously I confide in her and tell her more things than I tell my own mom because I trust my grandma more…I even stayed at her house for a while a few years back during my worst mental crisis ever just so I could have the feeling of constant safety and less nightmares…so if something ever happened to her I wouldn't be able to live with myself. Singing is a trigger for him, and so are Bergens in general…which makes me upset at the others, AGAIN, when they sing the song that Branch was singing during that time…my thoughts were like, "Come ON guys, that song is probably the most triggering song for him…" As you can probably tell, I get upset with the others quite a few times whenever I watch this film, because of how they treat Branch. Eventually the entirety of Troll Village is thrown in a pot, ready to be served for Trollstice, and it's here where Branch's character development really becomes apparent. Poppy turns gray, quickly followed by all the other Trolls, and Branch looks around at everyone turning gray, like him, and, desperate to do something about it and help the girl he's now grown to love, he finally breaks his 20-year-long "no singing" vow as he begins to sing "True Colors" in what is probably the most beautiful scene in the entire film (I know it's my personal favorite scene).

(There they all go...turning gray...and Branch is just looking around at everyone, clearly upset by this.)

(His expressions here...you can tell he's thinking, "I've gotta do something!" And he does, and it's beautiful 🥺)

Thanks to Branch, Poppy and the other Trolls are able to regain their colors, and thanks to Poppy, Branch FINALLY regains his colors after 20 years!

(He's getting his colors back! I always feel so happy when I watch the True Colors scene, it's just so beautiful and satisfying 😌👍)

(They're so cute, look at them dance together 🥺! Broppy is best Trolls ship and no one can convince me otherwise, these two are PERFECT for each other 😌)

He thanks Poppy for showing him how to be happy, stating that "happiness is inside of all of us, sometimes you just need someone to help you find it", quoting one of Poppy's lines from earlier in the film. Branch now feels comfortable singing and dancing with Poppy and the other Trolls as they teach the Bergens that same lesson by singing "Can't Stop The Feeling", which helps the Trolls finally make peace with the Bergens after many many years of fearing being eaten by them.

Poppy is crowned queen, Branch finally asks for (and gets) a hug from her even though it's not Hug Time, and the movie ends.

This is not the end of Branch's journey though, there's still two more movies to cover! I'll be covering the second movie hopefully soon, so I hope you look forward to that, and I hope you enjoyed this character analysis on Branch in the first movie! I sometimes miss things especially with relatable characters because sometimes there are aspects that trigger me so I try to forget about those aspects, and sometimes the character as a whole just hits too close to home and writing analyses on them is too overwhelming because of that (Branch is one of those characters, so it took me ages to write this and gather all the GIFs and images...and also this entire analysis was written ENTIRELY from my memory of the events in the first movie, so there's that part too). Also please excuse the potato quality images and GIFs...I tried my best to find good ones but most of them I found are just REALLY bad quality so...sorry about that 😅

On June 9, 1934, Donald Duck made his first appearance in a classic short called "The Wise Little Hen" by Silly Symphony and invented by Walt Disney to be reimagined and modernized by Carl Barks, Al Taliaferro, Jack King and Jack Hannah and other authors. In the beginning, a duck with a long beak and excellent trolling, but then he became a grumpy and jerk duck, and later a very family and friendly duck. Yes, Donald Duck describes each and every one of us here, because we all share similar personalities to Donald Duck. Donald Duck has appeared in many cartoons, comics, video games, at Disney parks, in books, as toys, and in many other various ways. Since there are so many versions, I decided to just draw my favorite and most important ones that shaped Donald as we know him today.

Yes, Donald Duck from Mickey Mouse Cartoons by Paul Rudish is holding a piece of cake, along with the first version of Donald Duck from "The Wise Little Hen" which is actually the first version of him. Whoo, Trolls movies. Lots of stuff to say about them. I saw the first one when it came out. It wasn't at the cinema tho. Once my dad said "hey I put a movie downstairs) and it was Trolls. Now, it wasn't the best conditions to watch it. I enjoyed it, I found it very fun and entertaining, but for some reason my step-mother was watching with me and seemed to NOT enjoy the movie at all, she'd ask me if I was really interested and stuff, and it made me kinda nervous ? Anyway. I liked it and that's what matters. However it was a long time ago and I don't remember all the details.

When the second movie came out, I wasn't too interested and didn't go to the theatre to watch it. I thought it would be a shitty sequel, much like many more of its kind. After the third movie came out, I found out that a LOT of people enjoyed the last wto movies, and that there was an entire comlunity behind them. So, out of curiousity, I watched the second movie. And oh boy, I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it that much !

First of all, I love how the different troll species were handled. Worldbuilding ? Hell yeah. Then, the actual story. It was good ! It's about accepting others etc... I think it was a metaphor for racism ? Maybe, I'm not good at analyzing stuff. I really liked the new characters, of course the rock trolls are super cool, but I think my favorite new characters are Hickory and Chaz.

I watched the third movie the day after. It introduced Branch's and Poppy's long-lost siblings, which was surprising to say the least. I also loved Velvet and Veneer, this movies villains. I loved them as in I hated them, but they were cool being evil. I liked how they were both prortrayed, Veneer being pressured by his sister to keep on draining Floyd's energy. I have sympathy for Veneer, but not Velvet.

In conclusion, I'd say that these three movies have surprisingly deep themes and meanings, and that they only get better, the second and third being the best in my opinion.

It's always fun to do anything with these three, but Christmas w/ them definitely feels more special and fun

Sapnap ans George are the ones who wake you up first thing in the morning, cause it's Christmas lol, while you and Dream try to get some more sleep in

They go to Dream first, so they can annoy him to no end, then they decide to gang up on you

Screaming, tickling, pillows thrown at you, anything you can imagine them doing to wake you up lmao

After waking up, and openings presents you brought eachother, you all decide to start cooking for lunch

George and Sapnap are in charge of the appetizers and desert

You and Dream get the rest, because Dream doesn't trust George or Sapnap with cooking

Even while eating you three will keep on a very good conversation, filled with laughs and jokes

One of you probably ends up spitting some food out from laughing, definetly not pointing fingers at a certain someone

Then the rest of the day is spent playing random games or watching movies, ending the night with a good 'ol cuddle pile on the couch

Skephalo: A Virtual Christmas

Since these two absolutely refuse to meet up, more like Bad refuses to take an airplane while you and Skeppy have been begging him for years now, you decide to have a virtual Christmas on discord

You three spent the whole day on discord togheter doing what you usually would do on Christmas day

Beforehand you brought and sent eachother gifts, so you'd take the time to open them on call

Skeppy's gifts sometimes being trolls or things about himself

Like I imagine Skeppy gifting you and Bad plushies with his face on them, so "I can always be with you" he says

You play Minecraft, without filming for once, among other multiplayer games

You played Mario Kart, bad idea, cause Bad kept on losing and got salty

Online Uno was the next, but Skeppy kept on giving Bad "+2's" and +4's"

Golf with Friends was another one you played, but you kept on pushing the other two off track yet somehow still winning

But, no matter how much you bickered over these stupid games, you three had one of the most fun Christmases ever

Karlity & Himbros: A Snowy Christmas

Quackity came to visit America for a while, so you and the other four decided to just spend Christmas togheter

I imagine the day of Christmas being a very snowy day, so much that you 5 decided to go out and "play" a little

Karl and Foolish kept on putting snow in the other three's coats, which would just end up with a chasing game

Punz and you randomly decided to make a snow fort and start a snowball battle against the other three

You two obviously won

Then you made a snow man and named him Antonio Banderas, you even gave him a little goatee and all

After tiring yourself out, you proceeded to go inside and make hot choco for everyone

In the end you all attached yourself to Foolish, cause man's jacked and therefore has more body heat

SBI: A Memorable Christmas

You five met up the day after Christmas actually, wanting to spend the actual day with your family and/or loved one(s)

So you brought whatever food you could from the previous day and all met up at Phil's house

Most of the day was spent talking, playing and getting annoyed by Tommy and his loud nature

Tristin had, so kindly, brought all of you sweaters with your name initial in the front and "SBI" written on the back

You all took many pictures and took little funny videos like you were modeling new merch

All of you, including Tristin, also took family style Christmas pictures that you all got framed to remember this amazing day

Tommy and you also took advantage of the situation to film some tik toks with the other three

You tried your best to get Techno to do one dance, he mostly refused, until you somehow managed to make him do one

Wilbur, on the other hand, was happy to do a silly little dance with you even if it wasn't perfect

At one point you decided to make ginger bread cookies, and try to create eachother

Which didn't end well because Wilbur and Tommy started throwing icing around and it turned into a food fight

Phil and Tristin just watched from the side as you and Tommy were mixing flower into Wilbur and Techno's hair

Viva la Vida (a Trolls fanfic)

Branch didn’t know that a simple bunch of flowers could throw some Trolls into a frenzy.

Flowers grew everywhere and anywhere in all the kingdoms, all unique. Some were big, some were small. Some had colorful florets, others were more plantlike. Some even had faces and could talk. But in the end, they were just flowers.

But, that’s not what the Trolls at the wedding were making it seem like.

They were making it seem like the simple but beautiful bunch of flowers that Poppy had been holding were made out of gold, or the rarest glitter of some kind. He guessed that they were pretty nice, but as he’d learned, in accordance with wedding tradition, it was custom for the bride to throw flowers and have the guests attempt to catch them. Why? Supposedly, it was a surefire indicator of who was to be wed next.

Branch scrunched his nose. He didn’t think he needed a flower of all things to predict his future. Still though, he supposed it was a fun game of sorts. He watched, amused, at all the Trolls who’d gathered behind Poppy, knees bent and arms out, ready to take action.

“Ready, guys?” the Queen asked. Then, in a sly manner, she made sure to turn away from Branch so that she could wink at the group. The Trolls understood what she meant by that wink, and some confirmed their understanding with a small nod. Poppy giggled to herself. The plan she had was going to go perfectly!

“Alright then! On the count of three! Three…”

The crowd got into position.

“... Two…”

Fingers twitched.

“... ONE!”

At that last number, the Queen threw the bunch out from behind her as hard as she could. For a heart stopping moment, the flower bunch hovered in the air high above everyone’s heads, and then it finally fell down, smack in the middle of all the Trolls. However, they made sure to allow one Troll among them to obtain the flower bunch in her grasp. And, thankfully, she was unsuspecting of this purposeful occurrence. 

“Woo-hooo! Yeah! I got it!” Viva cried, hosting the flower bunch high into the air and dancing around with it. “YES!” She loved these types of games, and had always wanted to participate. She hadn’t actually anticipating catching the flower bouquet though. This was exciting!

But Viva’s excitement began to dwindle down when she noticed the looks that the Trolls around her were giving her awfully knowing looks, as if they understood what this meant now that she caught it. And that’s when she remembered, too.

“Oh!” she gasped to herself, whirling around and happening to come face-to-face with none other than her right-hand man, Clay.

He was blushing, as was she.

“You um… caught it,” he said bashfully.

“Y-yeah, I know…” she replied, stuttering a little. Why did she feel so warm all of a sudden?

Branch glanced at Poppy and crossed his arms. “You planned this out and had everyone else in on it, didn’t you?” he asked, smirking.

Poppy nodded,  giggling at how shy the two Trolls had become, ande already making plans for what would become her sister’s future wedding. “You think it could work out?” she asked Branch.

Branch eyed his brother and Viva skeptically, and shrugged. “Eh. I give em a week at most.”

Poppy gasped. “Branch!”

“Alright, alright, maybe it could work out for a bit longer,” he chuckled.

- How old were you when you were first introduced to LOTR? I was nine when my mum took me to the cinema (I think I'd read and loved The Hobbit by then) to watch the movie. I did not like it at all! 😂 We didn't know what it was about and had no idea it was part one in a trilogy, which came as a nasty surprise after three hours of horrible movie lol. I loved the beginning, but like: the troll terrified me to my core and for a long time afterwards I was scared it would somehow come after me, Gandalf died, I thought Boromir had a suspicious face from the start and didn't mind that he died (cue 20+ years later and I'm writing the most important fic in my life so far about him) but his death was still traumatic, and I just wanted my comfort hobbits to get a happy ending and instead they were crying and resigning themselves to more misery. I didn't even watch the other two movies when they came out I was so disgusted with the whole thing lol. Read the books and watched the movies as an older teen and loved them all.

- Favourite LOTR character? Probably Aragorn, but also the hobbits (they're a unit). The entire Fellowship is so dear to me though. And Boromir is my blorbo.

- Books or Movies? Books! The movies are cool and all, but the books are where Tolkien is.

- Which location in Middle Earth would you want to visit? If I had to choose only one it'd probably be Rivendell, but also the Shire, the Old Forest, Rohan, Dol Amroth, Gondor... and the Great River, just because of my fic. <3

- Favourite Movie? Not sure, perhaps The Fellowship, ironically enough.

- Favourite scene? I'm so bad at remembering movie scenes! Maybe the Council of Elrond? There are so many amazing ones with such beautiful music so I'm not sure. Love Gandalf charging at the Nazgûl with Pippin in tow <3

- Favourite quote? “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”

- What Middle Earth race would you like to be? I'm usually a Hobbit in every online quiz, but it'd be fun to see what being an Elf is like.

- Favourite LOTR ship: This is going to sound weird because I'm writing a long, shippy, Canon Character/OC fic at the moment, but I'm not really into LOTR for the ships so I kind of don't have one? I adore Aragorn/Arwen and Faramir/Éowyn as much as the next person and Sam and Rosie are precious, but I'm not really fussed.

Frozen memories #002

My Frozen story - Part 2

"But, isn't that just a kids movie about some reindeer?"

My dear mother had no idea what her 22-year-old son was getting into on November 20th 2014 😅 Following my introduction to Frozen via ABC's Once upon a time-series, I was eager to find out what all the fuzz about the original movie was about.

I still lived at home at the time (in the countryside) and I had asked my parents to see if the movie was available at the local library. I can’t remember if I watched it the same day I got it or not. Probably a few days later (on my old Philips not-even-full-HD monitor 😅).

Prior to watching it, I had learned a few things about the plot and it sounded unlike any other movie I had previously seen. In addition to that, I had watched the Let it go-scene which was very captivating and I was very much in love with the song and the animation!

Seeing the movie for the first time was a bit of an otherworldly experience. I’m not sure how to describe it. I think everything about the characters, the story and the setting just clicked for me. Even though I don’t even have a sibling, I was awestruck and very touched by the tragic story of Anna and Elsa. And the theme of isolation and feeling of being an outcast was something I could relate to, always having been the introverted quiet one with very niche interests. I think I saw a lot more of me in Elsa than I even realised at the time. I think I watched the movie three times in just a couple of days.

From the first day of experiencing it “properly”, I was very much in love with Anna and Elsa and their world of Arendelle, which seemed so familia to me, being from Norway's neighbour Sweden and having experienced the wilderness of this real-life Disney-like nation just around the corner. I still vividly remembered going there on vacation some 8 years earlier. So, it wasn’t just the characters and the story that made it feel like it was “my movie”. The landscape, the art, the culture and the folklore (trolls) also felt so close to home!

I had not expected to get pulled into a fandom the way I was because I usually never do and this is still true till this day - I haven't found anything else that I enjoy as much as Frozen. But this movie was just… I couldn’t get it out of my head! All the songs were so incredibly catchy! I think I spent most of winter 2014/15 just replaying them constantly in my head (and on my phone). I also couldn’t get rid of the feeling of how incredible it would be to get to see Anna and Elsa in real life. I guess this was really the first time I got to experience something like this 😊

And so, my journey into the Frozenverse had begun. I was thrilled when I learned there was a new Frozen short film coming out in 2015 (along with some Cinderella remake that I wasn’t really interested in) and I even brought my mother with me to see it in theatres. She had no clue at this time what Frozen was! She probably liked Cinderella better but I was a blessed Frozen fan! Funny enough, it was my mother who told me Disney had just announced they were gonna make a Frozen II…

MC: “Leon, you don’t have to come with me to Trick or Treating. You’ve been invited to your basket ball team’s party.”

Leon: “Aww 🥺, but what’s the fun of a party without my best friend there?!”

MC: (Damn, you have a point there)

Leon: “Besides, your brother and I can finally show off our costumes!”

Leon wags his werewolf tail as well as his ears.

Newt, walking to a neighboring house, flaunts his Beetlejuice outfit he spent a hot minute on to the neighbor. The neighbor then gave him two pieces of candy for his costume.

Leon: “Hey, by the way, where’s your costume?”

MC: “Oh, I don’t have one, I was just out to accompany my brother since his friends were at a party. I’m too old for this.”

Leon: “What?! You’re never too old for Trick or Treating. Just look at these adults in costumes!”

MC: “But Leon, they have children, the kinda have to.”

Leon: “If you’re going out, then I’m getting a costume for you! I’ll be right back!” He said, running off before MC could say something back.

MC just takes a look a Newt, having a blast. The last time he went Trick or Treating was back when he was 15, only to have a classmate giving out candy laugh at him because “He’s too old for this”. Well Deborah, not everybody’s fortunate enough to be invited to a party.

It was only 15 minutes, but he already saw Leon charging at him like a bull holding a (cymethoid) costume.

Oh God, I have to wear That?!

Leon just huffed and puffed, holding out the costume.

Leon: “here…. I got… this… I made…. Two years ago.”

MC: “Leon, you made this!”

Leon: “Yeah, last year’s robot costume broke, and the stores were all either closed or packed, so I got this! Here! It even has its own mask if you’re embarrassed of showing yourself.”

MC: “Oh, he thought about that 🥺.” He said, looking at the handmade costume.

MC the puts steps into the costume like a jumpsuit, and looks at the creepy helmet, debating on whether to put it on or not.

MC puts in on, and Leon smiles.

Leon: “There! Now we can both go Trick or Treating!”

The two then walked towards Newt, only to see that he was 6 houses ahead of them.

When the Newt sees the two, he’s flabbergasted by MC’s costume for a moment, before he laughs.

Newt: “Wow Big Bro, I didn’t know you wanted to join, let’s alone craft costumes in 20 minutes.”

Leon: “Actually, I made it.”

Newt: “Cool! Anyways, let’s go down that busy neighborhood there! I heard they have the best candy!”

Leon: “Yeah!”

MC then smiled a little seeing the two so happy, he hasn’t felt this much excitement in Halloween since he was 14.

MC: “Hey, wait for me!” He said, excitingly running towards them.

The three then filled their baskets to the brim with a butt-load of candy, they were getting both sugar rushes and crashes tonight!

~~~

Newt: “Alright Everybody! Let’s see our loads!” He said, dumping the contents of his basket onto the floor.

Leon and MC then dumped their contents to the floor as well, and they all sorted out candy they want and didn’t like.

MC: “Dang, we only have two sugar pops?! I love those!”

Newt: “We could have had more if you just entered the haunted house. Leon was willing to protect you like he did with those trolls at the other houses.”

MC: “But I hate jumpscares in closed spaces! Not even Leon’s protection would stop me from jumped at even the slightest sound!”

Leon: “It’s alright, you didn’t have to go in if you didn’t want to.”

MC then looked at Leon and layed his head on his shoulder.

MC: “Thanks! I had fun tonight.”

Leon: “Ah! Well, you’re welcome!” He said, looking away to hide the pink on his face.

Newt: “Hey! We have enough candy to last us an entire Halloween movie!” He said, debating between choosing The Corpse Groom or Creek and Friends: The Haunted Pumpkin”

Leon: “Ooh! Let choose the Corpse Groom! I love that movie!”

MC: “Yeah, let’s watch that!”

Newt: “Alright! He said playing the movie”

And the three sat down together on the couch.

MC: Oh my Goodness, of course they just BOTH had to be here on Halloween!

Vincent: “Hey! My Honey and I were about to go pulling Pranks tonight!”

Leon: “And I got here first! He’s going trick or treating with me!”

Newt: “LADIES! LADIES!! CALM DOWN!!! Yeesh! I know you both want to hang out with Big Bro, but you don’t have to ruin his night by fighting.”

Vincent: “Ah, sorry, we’re working on it.”

Leon: “Sorry. 😞”

MC: “You two can join us.”

Both boys agreed without excitement, and just silently distanced from each other.

When they came up to their first house, Vincent suddenly gave MC some eggs and toilet paper.

Vincent: “psst, hey, Honey, let’s prank this house.”

MC: “w-why?! That’s so mean! Besides, we’ll get in trouble.”

Vincent: “serves them right, they’re one of the two faced liars who use to be my so-called ‘friends’.” he said in a bitter tone.

Leon: “Vincent, we shouldn’t be egging other people’s houses, even if we do have history with them.”

Vincent: “What?! It’s call Trick or Treat for a reason.”

Newt: “Vincent, Don’t.” He said, knocking on the door.

The person opened the door, and scoffed at the sight of Vincent.

Newt: “Trick or Treat!”

“Friend”: “Oh, nice costume, I see you’ve joined your brother on sucking on his new Sugar daddy’s d**k.” They said, throwing a single black licorish candy into Newt’s basket and slamming the door.

MC: “damn, this may be video game writing, but that’s just cold…”

Newt: “Vincent, we’re egging this f**kers house.”

Vincent: “That’s what I like to hear!” He said, gladly giving him the supplies.

The 4 threw eggs, toilet paper, and spray paint all over the house before scurrying away.

Leon: “Ok, no more houses of enemies. I only joined because they deserved it after what they said to us.”

Vincent: “Suuureeee, say that to yourself to supress you inner demon.”

Leon: “I’m serious! No more pranks, even if we have to avoid half the houses here!”

Vincent: “Fiiiiinneeee… here, this house doesn’t belong to anybody I hate.” He said, pointing to a small green house in the shadows.

When they all when up to it, they saw an old couple outside waiting, their bowl full of candy.

Old Woman: “Ah, finally! Welcome!”

Old Man: “We’ve been waiting all night for Trick or Treaters, thank you for coming here.”

Old Woman: “And such lovely costumes you have.”

Leon: “Aww, thank you!” He said, grabbing some candy.

The rest join in.

MC: “So, why doesn’t anybody come here?”

Old Man: “Some group of boys were mad that we ran out of candy one year when they came by, so they spread rumors of us spitting into the candy.”

MC: oh…

Newt: “Welp, I’m glad we dropped by, are these Newman’ Os, I love those!”

Vincent: “Newman’ Os, what?!!”

Newt: “They’re offbrand.”

Leon: “Anyways, thanks for letting us stop by!”

Old Woman: “And thank you for visiting, come back next year.”

Leon: “We will!”

When the group finishes their Trick or Treating, they all put their buckets of candy on the table to sort out for later, and start decorating the cookies with the frosting they left in the fridge while they were out.

Vincent: “I bet I can make a better cookie of Honey.”

Leon: “Oh no you won’t!” Mines will be way better than yours, watch!”

The two boys ended up creating two cookies of MC manifested into a blob monster. Meanwhile, the brothers finished their decorating.

Leon: “Hey, we need you to decide which one is better.”

The two then shamefully hold out the two cookies, MC flabbergasted at both of them.

MC: “Oh, wow, that’s…”

Vincent: “C’mon honey, my cookie has less frosting smudges.”

Leon: “-And my cookie actually got the colors right.”

MC: “They’re, umm.”

Newt: He grabs the cookies and eats them both. “They both have waaay to much frosting and dye.”

MC: Saved! Thank you little bro for the 100th time.

Newt: You’re Welcome!

MC: Wait, did you just read my-

Newt: “Anyways, scary movie time!”

The boys just look disappointed for the lack of a clear winner as they take all the cookies to the living room.

MC: “Oohh! Night of the Fleas! I love that movie! It’s so gorey!”

Newt: “Don’t you hate that movie Because of the gore?”

MC: “I-umm, can change my tastes…”

Vincent: “Yeah!”

Leon: “Vincent, this movie literally has a guy’s head explode with fleas.”

Vincent: “oh, Nevermind… for once my honey’s tastes are terrible.”

MC: “What was that?”

Vincent: “Nothing honey!”

Leon: “Naaah, I’m pretty sure he said your tastes were trash.”

Vincent: “No I didn’t-”

MC: “HEY! Look! It’s Pumpkin Busters! Let’s watch that instead!”

Newt: “Finally, a movie we all don’t hate.”

Vincent: “acutally.”

All three of them just look at Vincent with angry eyes.

Vincent: “Nevermind, Pumpkin Busters it is.”

Trolls AU - John Dory's Best Friend

AKA, my idea to give Branch someone to raise and love him no matter what and stay somewhat near cannon.

I was thinking in a twist of cannon one of John Dory's best friends is a female troll named Lily he has known since they had hatched. The two have always been together as their mothers were best friends as well, so whenever the adult would meet or need someone to watch the kids they would be stuck together. So over the years she started helping him out with being the oldest and the other brothers love her, going to her more often than John.

When they are teens and the Band is a thing, Lily is supportive but keeps trying to keep John grounded. Reminding him that yes he's the leader of the band but he is also their older brother and to take it easier on them. We all know that he does not listen to that advice so she tries to take care of the fall out from his words and actions.

One of the things they do is keep watch for bergens together, sitting near the top of the troll tree. It is one of the times JD fully starts to relax knowing that she has no expectations for him. It is in one of these sessions that life takes a turn and they touch enough to make an egg. JD doesn't remember it and Lily does not press him about it, deciding the discussion about the egg can wait until after the big tour with Bitty B.

The day after the disastrous opening show and the band abandoning Branch and their grandmother Lily comes by to see if she can help. Hearing the situation she is torn between comforting the baby and immediately marching out to drag the idiot of the eldest back by the ear. But the baby's need won out and she moved into the pod to help until the brothers came back.

When Grandma Rosiepuff got eaten, Lily was visiting another pod and came back to a distraught Branch. The egg had hatched by this time and the trolling was sleeping in her hair as usual, when she picked up the sad little grey troll reassuring him again that she would never leave him.

Though the next twenty years Lily always kept that promise, changing things for him and helping him build the bunker for the three of them to live in. Staying behind in the first two movies to make sure that things at the village were safe and running smoothly with Branch taking the turn to promise he would come back. And when JD crashes Bridget and Gristel's wedding you can bet that Lily has an earful waiting for him. He is not getting near the boy that SHE raised.

Hi, hello! You can call me Stellastra. This is my new-ish art blog, but I've been on tumblr since 2014 on my personal blog.

To tell you a bit about me: I like to draw, play video games, take photos, work out, and collect historical fashion books.

I'm admittedly a fairly shy and private person, so my posts will almost strictly be related to art and/or my OCs. I'm half-Filipina (Igorot, specifically Kalinga) and half-white (apparently of mostly British ancestry, according to a 23andMe test my dad did).

I was born and raised in the the southeast USA.

Unfortunately, I can only speak English (+ some rusty high school-level French). I want to learn Tagalog or Ilocano (my mom's native language) someday.

I have pet cats.

I can safely say that I really started drawing when I was around 10 years old, when I was doodling in the margins of my schoolwork in the fourth grade.

I love watching 'so bad, it's good' movies like The Room, Troll 2, Samurai Cop, Neil Breen movies, etc.

I have an unhealthy collection of historical fashion books. Most of my collection is 19th century European stuff, but I'm always looking for books of an earlier time or even non-European cultures.

Living with his brothers is strange after all these years. They hadn't seen each other since they were kids and now suddenly they were all under the same roof again. Bruce didn't mind the quiet. Over these past few decades he'd gotten used to the loud hustle and bustle of work and the chaos of a home full of kids. It's been nice getting to wind down and it felt good knowing that Brandy was fully behind him in his decision to stick around for a bit longer. He had to admit that he missed his kids and he longed for his loving wife every day but there's a different kind of happiness nestled deep in his very bones when he watches his little brothers laugh around the dining table.

Getting along with John Dory has been a bit more of a challenge but not impossible. Even now they clashed like they did when they were kids, old resentments sparked back to life and their vastly different priorities making it difficult to find common ground sometimes. Still, even then, it was really nice to see him again too.

They're gathered now in Branch's small kitchen, awkwardly trying to stay out of their youngest brother's way while he goes about making lunch while all being equally unwilling to leave. Branch grumbles as he easily twists and steps around them but makes no move to tell them to get out. It makes Bruce smile and Branch very blatantly ignores him. Branch sighs for the umpteenth time as he grabs a pan from a low cabinet and spins around Clay to get to the stove. It was nothing fancy, just a few sandwiches to keep them running until dinner, and Bruce was proud to see that it wasn't the sweets he's sure Queen Poppy would've offered.

Branch grabs the butter dish from his counter and drops a dollop into the heating pan before bending over to open another cabinet. He curses under his breath and swiftly curses again. "Damn it," Branch huffs, eyes flitting around the small space one more time before he lets the doors fall shut with a heavy thud.

"What's up?" Clay prods, curiously looking between Branch and the disappointing cabinet like he could piece together the issue off that alone.

"I thought I'd restocked," Branch sighs, running a stressed hand over his hair absentmindedly. He crosses his arms and frowns, tapping his foot while he thinks in a way that Bruce finds adorable but would never dare say out loud. Or rather, not until it was the right moment. "Hey, Bruce, you know where the carrots are?"

Bruce startles when he's singled out but nods quickly, offering a thumbs up and a lazy smile, "Yep! Want me to go grab some for you?" He guesses, already peeling himself away from the table to head off towards the towering shelves lined up on the lower floor.

Branch sags a bit with gratitude and returns the smile hesitantly, "That'd be great, thank you." It's interesting, Bruce thinks, the war that appears to constantly be waging inside of his grown baby brother. He's far from the little bundle of nervous, excited energy he'd been back when he was a baby but there still seems to be some kind of uncertainty that never leaves him. Branch always looks like he's caught between throwing himself back into the family and keeping them all at a safe distance. Admittedly, ashamedly, Bruce thinks that had he reunited with his brothers only a few years ago he'd have been bitter about it. One of his kids, Brandon, was an anxious kid. Even though his siblings had always been welcoming and encouraging he was still hesitant to ask for what he needed or say no when his siblings pushed a boundary he hadn't communicated yet. Brandon had taught Bruce a lot about how fundamentally different people could be and that some were introverted and wary even around people they loved. He can't begin to imagine what was going on in Branch's head after all these years, experiencing who knows what on top of Grandma's death and the apparent Rock Apocalypse. Bruce was more than happy to offer up a little patience in return. The last thing he wanted now after everything was to push Branch away.

"You got it, little bro!" Bruce beams, stretching an arm around Clay to ruffle Branch's hair just to see his brother's face scrunch up in annoyance as he bats his hand away. He doesn't stick around to face Branch's wrath, whether that be in the form of a disgruntled glare or a few sharp words, and instead spins on his heel and makes for the hall.

"Don't eat all the rations!" John Dory calls teasingly just as Bruce slides into the hallway and slips out of sight. Bruce freezes. He knows it's a joke. None of his brothers had been anything but kind after seeing that he'd lost his iconic figure and John sounded nothing but fond. On top of that, Bruce has never been happier since he's given up on those strict diets and workout routines! Still, despite that, there's a spike of anxiety that shoots through his chest hearing those words. John Dory has said similar things to him plenty of times when they were younger, pushing Bruce to keep up the grueling work lest he disappoint the fans. Disappointing the fans always meant disappointing his brother and when he was a boy that had been crushing. Anything to keep that perfect image. It had tainted Bruce's love for fitness and twisted it into something that could break him. If he didn't do enough sit-ups would the band lose its fame? If he ate too much would they lose popularity? Would his family resent him?

It's been a long, long time since Bruce had felt any sort of discomfort about his body. Nearly fifteen years now since he'd shed those insecurities and found love and acceptance in Brandy who'd helped him more than he could ever hope to express to her. He loves who he is now and the man he's become. Yet somehow he still feels that telltale hurt stir up inside of him. He feels more resentment towards those feelings themselves than he does John Dory. He wishes it didn't bother him at all.  

He has half a mind to storm back in there and tell John Dory off but he reminds himself that starting a fight while he's angry would never go well, especially when it came to his older brother. A skill that parenting has given him is an almost unnatural level of patience and calm combined with a self-awareness that lets him know that he should cool down before he does something he'd regret. He takes a deep breath and squares his shoulders, letting the tension bleed from his body as he raises his head up high. He takes a few more steps down the hall towards the elevator but he's once again stopped in his place. This time by Branch.

"What the hell was that?" Branch hisses, seething with a simmering fire that Bruce was starting to associate him with.

"What was what?" John Dory asks, sounding genuinely confused and instinctively on the defensive.

"That was kind of uncool, man," Clay pipes up. He's wary. Rightfully so, Bruce thinks. Both Branch and John Dory were forces to be reckoned with and stepping between the two was dangerous. Bruce thinks Branch has snapped at all of them at least once since they've moved in and it wasn't at all what he had ever imagined his sweet little brother would grow up to be. He figures that was what happened when you had to raise yourself though. It only serves to highlight his regrets when he thinks about it.

"What?" John scoffs, his defensive tone overtaking his initial confusion. Bruce can sense a fight brewing but he still can't seem to unglue himself from that spot. He wants to know where this will go.

"You already gave him one eating disorder, you want to give him another one?" Branch snarls. He sounds more like he's facing a threat than talking to his brother and the tone itself is enough to send chills down Bruce's spine. It takes a few seconds for the words themselves to register but when they do Bruce's whole body tenses right back up. What? 

"..what?" John Dory echoes Bruce's thoughts. He's starting to sound like a broken record but his voice is something weak and shocked now. The mask John had been raising was knocked aside with ease. Had he really not known? Had little Branch, maybe only four at the time, really seen something that John Dory hadn't? Had their eldest brother really been so blind?

"What? You think nagging someone every damn day about their body wouldn't make them hyperaware of it? I was the one who would sit in the dining room waiting for Bruce to finish eating, you know. Sometimes it took hours." Branch snaps, entirely unimpressed by John Dory's sudden meekness. Bruce remembers those days too. There had been times, way back when he was a teenager, when he'd been stuck at the dinner table pushing his food around trying to convince himself to clear the plate. Grandma had always had a rule about not leaving their seats until they'd finished their dinner and for a few years Bruce had greatly struggled to do so. He hadn't known that little Branch had lingered so often because he was waiting on Bruce. He had been so focused on trying to get the courage to just put the food into his mouth that he'd thought maybe Branch had just wanted to stick around. Kids could be weird. He thought it was just one of Branch's little quirks that he'd be able to tease him about when they were older. You were always just sitting around in the kitchen, he would say, you were so weird. He'd never known it had been for him. "Maybe, instead of being an ass, you could just-- oh, shit--" The smell of something burning reached Bruce's nose and he took that as his sign to make a break for it. He finally makes it to the elevator in time to hear the loud clangs of the pan being thrown into the sink.

He doesn't know what he'd expected. His brows furrow and his hand feels heavy where it pushes down the lever. He doesn't know why he just assumed that his other brothers would've brushed off John Dory's comment or even laughed along with him. He thinks, maybe, that he had some residual insecurity lingering in his head somewhere that he never had a reason to address before. The idea doesn't weigh on him. Instead he feels lighter than he had when he'd left. They stood up for him. Branch had gotten angry on his behalf and told John Dory off without hesitation and Clay had backed him up without much thought. He could even perfectly picture the disapproving expression that might have crossed Floyd's features.

The elevator rumbles to a stop on the lowest floor and he swiftly steps off and makes a beeline for the shelves holding most of Branch's food storage. He didn't want to take too much longer if he could avoid it, he doesn't know what he'd say if anyone asked him why he took so long. He knows they probably knew he stayed back, especially since the elevator itself wasn't exactly silent, but he wanted to have plausible deniability at least.

It doesn't take him too long to find the crates of carrots tucked away and he quickly hefts one into his arms before someone clears their throat. He admittedly startles at the sudden sound, nearly dropping the crate before he barely manages to regain his grip. He whips around to see Branch leaning up against the wall, arms crossed, and watching him carefully. Branch must've taken the stairs down but damn was he fast. Bruce didn't think he had lingered too long but maybe he'd been a bit more lost in his head than he thought.

"What's up?" Bruce asks after a few beats of silence when Branch makes it clear that he isn't going to start. "Was I taking too long for you?" He jokes, wiggling the crate still held in his arms to prove he'd completed his task.

Branch's eyes narrow just so and he hums noncommittally. He clearly finds whatever it is he's looking for because he pushes off the wall and strides up to Bruce, reaching out to place a comforting hand on his shoulder, and says "You don't need to change yourself for us." Warmth thrums through Bruce's veins, amazed by Branch's kindness despite his prickly exterior. Branch seems to hesitate for a brief moment, a blink-and-you-miss-it sort of thing, before he visibly steels himself. "We love you." He assures. A dopey smile spreads across Bruce's face.

Branch is scurrying off before Bruce can really get a word in but that doesn't stop him from brightly calling after him, "I love you too!" and he takes a sick pleasure in seeing the tips of Branch's ears turn a dark blue before he disappears around a corner.

Bruce still carries the carrots up to the empty kitchen and places them into the cabinet that Branch had been looking for them in earlier. He sees the pan still in the sink, a few drips of butter turned black pooled at the lip, and grimaces. They end up going out for lunch suspiciously devoid of Branch. John Dory pays for their meals.

WHEN WILL TEDBECCA COME BACK FROM THE WAR

however, i found this episode immensely enjoyable, my tedbecca agenda aside. it was really charming and full of good and moving stuff!

i can in all honesty say i simply didn’t expect that from the red string. who among us could?????? (so happy that roy was so happy!) now i will always read that part of jane eyre just a little different.

sammmmmmmm!!!! sam’s dad!!!!!!!!!!! sam naming his restaurant after his dad!!!!!!!! sam and simi!!!!!!!!

you know my austen nerd brain was instantly like “JACK IS THE WILLOUGHBY AND ROY IS THE COLONEL BRANDON”. also, i love that keeley loves the book but loves the movie more, because honestly ……………… same.

i loved seeing nate in romcom mode, omggggggg!!!!!! such a joyful storyline. i’d like it if we could get to know jade more as a character – she’s such an enigma! – but i get that this show has like nine million characters already.

i really wish rebecca had been involved in the team stuff this week. :( i just really missed her in that space, and would have liked to see her more involved and invested in the new coaching approach, etc. i miss her feeling like part of the team family. (i get that she started their singalong at the end of last episode, but you know what i mean!)

although, her explaining love bombing and doing that love bomb gesture was delightful.

i want a spinoff about barbara. she fascinates and enchants me. (sidenote: i’m picky about who could date beard but i think barbara has the exact right weird vibe.)

did anyone else go “ted was wearing a red t-shirt at the beginning of the episode and rebecca was wearing a red shirt at the end in the RED STRING EPISODE (never mind that the red string was tied to genitals)” or am i just that far gone mentally and emotionally?

with that being said, however: i don’t want to spend the entirety of the final season feeling like the show is a troll at a bridge and i must solve its riddles three to cross! i just want to watch the two characters whose relationship i love spend time together and enjoy each other’s company, damn it, and time is running out!!!!!! even if they don’t have a romantic thing going, i’d rather just watch them have a good time together and be friends!

i feel a lot like lorelai when she and luke break up in season five and she doesn’t want to miss her middle with luke. she doesn’t want to have just an ending with luke! i don’t want to have just an ending with tedbecca! WHERE’S OUR MIDDLE???? I WANT OUR MIDDLE! (we’re not getting our middle, are we.)

will getting way too into being beard, hahahahaha!

also, there was not enough higgins in this episode, but his one little scene was perfection. but also heartbreak. not his cuppa!

i feel like we don’t have enough time left this season to cover all the ground we need to cover, especially if it’s the last season! (i’m getting pretty worried about the pacing of a roy/keeley reunion, weary sigh.) i already feel like they need to decide to have a fourth season as well because this ain’t the final season as it’s meant to be. aghhhhhhhhh! STRESS!

next week sounds like it is gonna bring the DRAMAAAAAAAAA! the pure emotional sloppiness of the ted + michelle + dr. jacob situation really thrills me. BRING IT!

Let’s talk about Kung Fu Panda 4

Okay, so we finally got some updates on KFP4, the plot, the director and what to expect to see in the film. My reaction to this is….mix.

On one hand, I’m so happy we got something! But on the other hand, I’m just really nervous and I don’t like this deflated feeling. So I’m writing this out to share my thoughts and wanting to hear what the fandom thinks. I’ll try not to make this too long or sound like a rant, I’m going straight to the point and talk about the good and bad about KFP4.

So first let’s talk about the director: Mike Mitchell

……Oh boy.

Ok I’m not gonna give the guy any crap, I’m willing enough to give him a chance. Yes I know he directed Trolls, but he also directed Shrek Forever After. I looked back at that movie after The Last Wish and it’s not really that bad. It was actually sweet and serious in some parts. And that’s what I hope this director will do, have the 4th film at least serious in some parts and don’t make it too goofy or jokey where it feels awkward.    

Now on to the story and this is the best way I can summarize this from a few articles I’ve read:

“ Po is getting promoted to be the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, but he has to choose someone to take his place as the new Dragon Warrior. He catches a theft fox who he could see potential in their skills but they don’t get along. But Then a Chinese sorcerer known as ‘The Chameleon’, has summon Po’s past villains from the dead. Now Po and his (student?) must journey together and stop this new villain. ”  

So judging by the information that we got, it sounds like many years have passed since the third movie. Po becoming leader actually worries me because it’s probably hinting that Master Shifu may pass away and now Po has to take his responsibilities (This is just a guess so sorry Shifu fans!).  

There is also this fox character they have mention in the articles which they can’t seem to get the name right and they keep flipping their gender. First it was misspelled as Shen, then it was Chen and Zhen so I’m just gonna call them Fox for now on.

I wonder what kind of story arc will they give Fox. What’s their backstory? What kind of lessons they must learn? Does Po see himself in them or are they both different with different views? These are some questions I hope they answer. Giving Po a student to teach was a direction I theorized DreamWorks will go down and I’m glad they did. The trilogy had Po as a student, now taking the role of masterful teacher, it make sense to passed down those experiences to someone. I can really image the funny shenanigans they can get in to, along with the Furious Five. I think it would have been awesome if they each had a student too and they all come together fighting the villains with the skills they were taught. If there’s one thing I’m really worried about is the Five getting pushed aside for this new character or Fox ending up being a perfect character. Have Fox be flawed, have them be a kid we can relate and root for and something that the kids will like too.

Now let’s talk about my most favorite thing of all: THE VILLAINS!!!

OH MY GOD MY FANGIRL IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER! TAI LUNG, SHEN AND KAI ARE COMING BACK!! AND I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS A GOOD OR BAD THING!!??

I am shock, like I never expected they go down this route. Story wise, I understand why the three shouldn’t come back as they served their purpose as villains, but no, they are bringing them all back. A actual animation studio is listening and giving the fans what they wanted??

DreamWorks must be watching their fandoms, that’s the only explanation I can think of. They must have saw all of our fanarts and fanfics and went like “Oh damn, they really love are villains…you know what, let’s bring them back.”

So how will this affect the story? I honestly don’t know, maybe Fox has to learn all body, mind, and spirit in order to help Po and the Five.

Now what I’m really surprised is they choose a chameleon to be the forth villain. I did some research this morning, and there’s not that many species that look intimidating. But if they could make a peacock threatening, I’m sure they can make a chameleon threatening too. I even looked up about sorcerers in China and I think they meant shamans. Chinese shamans are known to be wizards or spirit mediums, this could mean the Chameleon may have some connection to the spirit realm, which I hope they explored more on. I read some of this under Wikipedia, its very interesting.

And that’s all I have to say for Kung Fu Panda 4. I am a little worry for this film but I’m not gonna get worked up about it, I’m gonna stay positive that it will work and I’m sure it will. The only thing that could save this film is the animation. I think KFP is perfect for that hybrid spiderverse animation.
