i think i hate that election time is this day specifically because it’s really weird to be simultaneously grappling with all the feelings of having an abortion a year ago and the terror of that right being taken away

#mourning the potential loss of the most traumatic thing to ever happen to me #odd feeling #i was told once #by my best friend after she pulled me out of bed after my abortion while i was skipping work #that doing the only thing i could possibly manage to keep my baby safe makes me a mom even if it didn’t result in a baby #and man #man #that’s a weird concept #that even though there’s no baby by my own volition i could still be considered a mom #also weirdly validating #because even though it was my choice it still feels like the first anniversary of my moms death #it’s extremely sucks that i can’t talk about how much this hurt me because i chose it #even though there is a large part of me that wishes it had just died on its own #because i loved that thing more than anything i have ever loved #i felt it from the moment they had me in that dimmed room and the tiniest little dot appeared on the wall #and suddenly my entire world was the size of a little teensy orange seed #and it will forever feel wrong once i have a baby in front of me #to call it my first #because how can i forget that month where my entire universe revolved around a different baby #because the thing is it’s not a baby #it for all intents and purposes is not but for me and a lot of women it is #because women don’t want abortions like they want a porsche or a fancy purse!#they want abortions like an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg!!#they want abortions because they would bring a child into a world with an abusive father who would never let them know a moments peace #they want abortions because they love this stupid tiny blur on a black and white picture so much it causes them genuine gut wrenching terror #to imagine the life their dad would subject them to for what? like 60 years?#my first lesson in motherhood. i want you more than life itself but that would make you miserable #so i have to stop your pain before it ever stops even if that hurts me more than i can ever say

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Every superhero and vigilante has has a costume like that at some point, something daring or a bit ridiculous that in hindsight that they just couldn't make work for whatever reason. Nightwing? The pretty motherfucker not only made it work, he slayed in that outfit. It looks ridiculous by itself on display in the batcave but not when Nightwing puts it on

The only reason Dick doesn't know this is because all his siblings have collectively gaslit him into thinking that it's his worst costume to date.

Namely that we really should have ended the flashback when WWX fell.#And then gone back to present time for a bit - or even go to a different flashback.#The sense of time passing isn't as strong as it *could* be.#We get *told* three months pass and that they've been looking for WWX. But to the audience it's been...15 min.#Less than seven minutes if you count the flute playing.#This guy when through a whole aesthetic and persona shift in less time than it takes to walk through a corn field.#Guy who listened to less than half an emo album and dyed all his clothes black. And jorted all his jeans.#Timeskips can be sudden and work out just fine! I personally feel like this one would be stronger with better pacing.#Feel free to disagree with me!#In case anyone is wondering why JC and LWJ are still holding hands: 1) Haunted house episode.#2) I needed to practice drawing hand holding at some point. Might as well get the rough and sloppy ones out with these two.
