Josha the Malotologist

A short comic abt Josha and her cute little test subject Malice :] (Dialogue undercut!)

Page 1 -

I am Josha and I am an aspiring Malotologist. I created this new field as I want to study this fascinating parasite, and to teach and show others to not be afraid of it.

I was born a year after the attack occurred, while I wasn't really directly affected by it. In a way, me and other children have to deal with the aftermath of The Calamity.

Page 2 -

What fascinated me of this "monster" was how it was possible to corrupt all the technology done by the ancient Sheikah, including the Divine Beasts.

The day I found out that Malice has a form of sentience, I show it to my teacher Purah and Robbie.

However, they seemed far from thrilled.

I would ask simple "yes" or "no" questions and Malice would go to each side to answer.

I would reward it by giving it a small piece of meat, I shouldn't do this as I can see it is gradually growing from it's tank.

But I wanted answers and it seemed like such a rare opportunity to have to speak to one of the sources.

One day, I woke up and headed to my lab and realized that the Malice that I was testing on grew a mouth filled with teeth.

"Do you understand me?"

'Yes...'

"How were you able to grow a mouth?"

'Meat...'

Ah. Guess that's my own fault. I decided to press on

"I have a question, how were you able to corrode and corrupt the Guardians and Divine Beasts?"

'Low...Guard...Pathetic.'

It did not gave me a cohesive answer that I--

I put Malice back into its smaller jar.

I didn't tell anyone about this. For the first time working with this parasite I've felt true genuine fear.

I leave my lab more often than before, I'm afraid that one day it will catch me by surprise.

I wanted to discard of that jar...but it knows. It always knows.

Was very close with Kanu, and was devastated when he decided he wanted to leave to look for Kinoga, Trito, and Agara, insisting that it was better for them to stay behind and wait for them. The only one of the original squad that stayed behind in the domes, military superiors brushing the rest of them off as defective, and demoting Denchu to civilian communications. The Pines (Graphic Novel) - Chapter One

Hi! Loaf here with some housekeeping!

First order of business, there are 3 more chapters coming! (consider following me if you wanna read them KOFFF KOFF)

Secondly, this is not an original story! This is an adaptation of Docofthedark's amazing fic The Pines which you should totally read because holy smokes it's amazing and to get the things I couldn't include here and also because I love the way she writes characters and-

I wish to present you:

My attempt to draw Determined Clover (I am not an artist so if things seem out of proportion that is why)

I decided to give them Zenith Martlet's wings and Ceroba/Kanako's mask as a face design to reference the final bosses that they befriend in Pacifist. (Also since Zenith Martlet's wings are (possibly) black on the outside, that's why their black in the colored version.)

I had a lot of fun making this because the drawing you made of Determined Clover vs. No Mercy Clover was very cool and I wanted to try and make it into an actual Undertale Battle Scene (everything in this has been drawn by hand). Enjoy :)

WHHHAAATTT THIS LOOOKS SO COOLLLL!!!! the battle UI looks amazing for it all by hand?!?! and the wings and cerobas mask markings are so bigbrained, i might have to steal those elements for their official design (/lh)
