Shiny | Twisted Wonderland Animatic | Scarabia 🐍☀️

After literal months of work, finally, my biggest project yet is finished. I'm tired and proud, and I'm very glad to finally be done with this thing. Thank you @SkellyStar for helping me a ton, and I hope everyone will enjoy!

What else but Scarabia would I dedicate this much time to? I wanted this animatic to be fun, with a sad undertone. Overblot Jamil is having the time of his life, thriving, singing and really leaning into that unhinged vibe he gives off, while making Kalim's life miserable. I thought this song kinda fit OB Jamil, though then again, almost any self -congratulatory villain song does.

Hello! May I know what software you use to make your animatics? I'm thinking of trying to make some myself but most video editing software seems expensive (hello adobe) so I thought I'd ask around for what other people are using before committing to one. Thank you!

Hello! I use Clip Studio Paint to draw, and Davinci Resolve (free version) to edit. Don’t even bother with adobe, really, and if you want a free drawing alternative I recommend Krita! If you’re on tablet I recommend Procreate or HiPaint.

Davinci Resolve is a bit difficult to get into, but if I did it so can you! Krita is free and easy for beginners to use, while Clip Studio Paint is more of a professional program that’s less beginner friendly, and it also costs money.

Good luck with making animatics! It’s difficult but very rewarding :)

I got a new tablet and I’m trying it out, so if this looks a bit different from my usual stuff it’s because I’m still getting used to drawing on it..
