Have you played MOUSE GUARD ?
By Luke Crane and David Peterson
Become cloaked, sword-wielding mice going on adventures. Very Redwall-series vibes.
(Not to be confused with Mausritter)
#OKAY LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MOUSE GUARD#the rpg club i helped run at Uni had a copy and we played it for a one shot#and omg this book has the WORST FORMATTING we've ever seen in a rpg core book#think 'choose your own adventure' kind of thing where you have to jump forwards and backwards constantly through the book#also none of us wanted to play mice. you could be any rodent or rodent adjacent critter#i was a chipmunk and my friend was a rabbit#the rabbit player decided to put points into the 'boat building' stat which we thought was funny and useless#until we had to cross a roaring river and then who had the last laugh!?!?!#for real though... the book is shit but the setting is fun. you could play a mouse version of dnd and get the same thing but better#mouse guard has become an in-joke with my rpg group now#like 'this book is bad but at least it's not mouse guard bad'

Rabbit and Rabbot
During a lunch together in Spiral Hill village, Vanilla's learned that Bunnie's not really got any parents of her own; she had just shown up one day when she was little and was raised at an orphanage. So naturally, she decides to fix this herself - if Bunnie's not got a rabbit mom of her own, SHE will be the rabbit mom! Of course, picking her up and walking off with her is just a bit of a playful tease; meanwhile, Bunnie's husband Antoine is inspecting a shiny sword that a traveling crow is offering up for sale, and Sally's getting the village tour from Tangle and Whisper! Just wanted to draw a cute interaction between Vanilla and Bunnie initially, but the picture ended up getting a biiiit bigger than that in the end!

Schoolyard Crush
[This is originally posted to twt as threads, but I'm posting the parts here as a full bit and will update as it updates]
Preschool teacher Steve/Single Dad Eddie
Threads: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
[Part 1]
Steve knows he's not allowed to play favorites. All of his kids are amazing (except Daniel, that kid is a rabid chipmunk in a human suit). But most of them are fantastic.
Minnie, though. She's probably his favorite. Big eyes and thousand-watt smile every time Steve comes in the building. He's only been at the job a few months, but every day reminds him why he took the job in the first place. Especially with kids like Minnie, who always grabs "Mr. Steve's" hand and drags him over to do puzzles or read one of the Dr. Seuss books in the little corner library.
As Mother's Day approaches, the other teachers in his pod get the kids set up to make hand-flower bouquets for their mother-figures. Some do it for their grandmother, others for older siblings, some do two for both mom's.
Minnie tugs on Steve's pant leg while he's helping Braden with his hand prints.
"What's up, Minnie-moo?"
"How do I spell 'daddy'?" she asks, a D and A already written on her vase. She's always been so smart.
Steve helps her spell it out, not even questioning it.
He doesn't know a lot about her home life, but maybe she has a dad she considers a mom as well. Kids are always figuring things out as much as their limited experiences can help them understand.
He's not entirely incorrect. At some point, Minnie wants to show off her dad, grabbing Steve by the hand and taking him over to the wall of family photos in the room that he hasn't actually looked at too closely before.
"That's my daddy!" Minnie says excitedly, pointing to a picture of a curly-haired blast-from-the-past smiling at the camera, Minnie clutched in his arms. Steve's not sure how he didn't put two and two together before. Minnie's hair is the same wild curly brown, her eyes too big in an adorable doll-like way, and her clothes a mix of baby band t-shirts and tutus.
"That's your dad?" he asks to clarify.
"Yep!" Minnie says proudly before walking away, leaving Steve staring at the smiling face of his high school crush like it's not the revelation it really is.
Eddie Munson, notorious metalhead shit-stirrer — who Steve was pretty sure was as gay as he is — is the father of his favorite kid. Somehow, that figures. Steve's always had poor judgement.
It's not until a couple of days later that Steve gets the reality check.
It's recess, Minnie running around the playground with her friends when Eddie shows up, in the flesh. He doesn't stop Steve right away, leaning against the gate to watch his daughter screech and giggle with her friends. He looks good, because of course he does, he always has. But it's been 8 years since Steve's seen him and he's a man now, not the awkward, table-top-rant nerd he was in high school.
Steve takes a chance.
"Mr. Munson," he greets with faux happiness, his heart rabbiting in his chest. He keeps his body turned toward the playground, as per protocol, but mostly so he doesn't have to look in Eddie's stupidly beautiful eyes. He wants to look, but he fights it.
It doesn't matter, though, because as soon as Eddie mutters a shocked but quiet, "Steve?" he knows he's done for.
[Part 2]
Before Steve can respond, Minnie comes running up to the gate screeching excitedly.
“Daddy! Daddy! This is Mr. Steve!”
Steve watches Eddie’s eyes soften so quickly at the presence of his daughter that it makes Steve’s teeth ache.
“I know, sweetie,” Eddie says, turning those same soft eyes on Steve now. “I’ve known Mr. Steve a very long time.”
Minnie’s head tilts like a puppy and Steve has the sudden urge to squeeze her until she pops. “What? But Mr. Steve is new here. And you’re too old for him to be your teacher.”
Steve slaps a hand over his mouth to cut off the cackle that nearly escapes. Yep, that’s Eddie’s kid alright.
Eddie, meanwhile, has gone ruby in the face, sputtering at his daughter’s lack of a social filter.
Steve takes pity on him, though he’s still snickering a little as he swings Minnie up into his arms. She giggles delightedly and boops Steve on the nose.
“I wasn’t your daddy’s teacher, Minnie-moo. I was his classmate. Kind of like how you have classmates here,” he explains.
Minnie’s eyes go wide at that. “Were you best friends like me and Grace?!”
Now it’s Steve’s turn to blush. He looks at Eddie for help, finding his own confusion about how to answer her reflected back at him.
“Uh, not exactly,” Steve starts. “But maybe… we could be?”
The last part is said directly to Eddie, who looks a little shocked at the question.
“Oh, uh. Yeah.” Eddie nods, curls bouncing. “Best friends who… maybe get dinner together? Friday?”
Steve can feel his blush deepen. He hasn’t seen heads or tails of Eddie in 8 years and the man is just… asking him out on a date? While Steve’s holding his child? How does Eddie even know Steve might be into that?
Then, Eddie’s eyes dart down to Steve’s work polo, and Steve puts it together. Eddie’s eying the rainbow pin there. Steve’s suddenly grateful for his boss that lets him wear it. The kids just think it’s pretty, but it’s really coming in handy right now.
“Yeah, Friday,” Steve agrees.
“Seven?”
“Seven is perfect.”
Suddenly, Minnie makes an indignant noise, a pout on her lips. “But I’ll be with Grampa on Friday.”
‘Grampa’ must be the older gentleman that normally picks Minnie up, Steve supposes.
“That’s the idea, kiddo. Time to go,” Eddie says, shooting a subtle wink Steve’s way.
Steve gets her passed off to the front office girl, still standing near the gate as Eddie and Minnie take their leave. Eddie stops by the gate once more, Minnie’s head resting on his shoulder while she fiddles with a band pin on his jacket, still looking put out.
“Seven on Friday.”
“Seven on Friday,” Steve confirms. Then, much lower: “You can tell me how you became a daddy.”
Eddie’s smile turns a little wicked, a flash of high-school Eddie rushing to the front of Steve’s mind.
“Well, Mr. Steve, if we’re 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 friends, I can show you as well.”
Steve inhales sharply, listening to Eddie’s responding cackle as he starts walking away.
Friday it is.
[Part 3]
Steve's not sure he's ever been so nervous for a date before. Which is ridiculous because he knows Eddie. He's known Eddie since he was 15. Surely that has to count for something? But no, the moment he sees Eddie at the table, everything Steve knows leaves his brain in a rush.
Dinner is nice. Great food, better company, but the biggest question is still harping on him.
"Go ahead," Eddie prompts after a time, "Ask."
Steve blushes, knowing he's been clocked. "Sure, yeah. Um... so... Minnie."
Eddie snorts, clearing his throat with a drink of his wine, like he's lubricating his throat for the answer.
Okay, bad thought.
DOWN BOY.
"Minnie is mine, in case you're wondering."
Steve blinks, taken aback.
"Yeah, clearly. Same—" he gestures to Eddie, "everything."
Eddie grins, nodding. "Yeah, clearly. Her other dad is..." Eddie pauses, visibly recalibrating several explanations. "His IUD failed," he settles on. "We weren't dating, just casual, but he got pregnant anyway. And I'm the idiot who didn't wrap it before I tapped it."
Steve waits on baited breath, knowing there's more.
"He wanted to... terminate," Eddie continues. "Even made a couple of appointments, but never went through with them. He never wanted kids and I respected that! It's not my body, ya know? But I think part of me always hoped. And then he made me a deal: he would go through with the pregnancy in exchange for relinquishing all parental rights. No child support, no contact, total single parent life."
Eddie shrugs, like that's just the way the cookie crumbles and not like it was a drastic life decision.
"And I got Minnie out of it," he says, pride clear in his voice. Steve melts, seeing the obvious love in Eddie's voice. "And I wouldn't change a thing about it."
Steve nods, not getting it personally, but empathetic nonetheless. "She's a fantastic person. You've done an amazing job raising her," he says, reaching across to take Eddie's hand. It feels over-familiar, but Eddie doesn't pull away, just turns his hand to interlace their fingers together.
"And you've taught her so much since you started. Every day she comes home and it's 'Mr. Steve' this and
'Mr. Steve' that. I swear, I don't know how I didn't put it together sooner." Steve chuckles despite the way his face heats at the praise. He takes another drink, just to steel himself before he says, "Well, now you've told me how you became a daddy... Still up to show me?"
[Part 4]
They barely make it back to Steve's fully clothed. Eddie had offered up his place, but Steve didn't want the first time he's in Eddie and Minnie's house to be marked by sex they're apparently both eager to engage in.
Plus he really hopes this isn't the only time this will happen, or be the only date they go on, so he can wait to see the more domestic parts of Eddie's life until they have the "what are we?" talk.
Steve nearly leaves his cardigan in the Uber after it was yanked off by Eddie who apparently has no qualms about exhibitionism (Steve leaves a hefty tip in apology), but they managed to stumble into his apartment still mostly in-tact.
Eddie backs him against the front door the moment they're inside, his lips planted against Steve's throat.
"Tell me what you want, sweet boy," Eddie murmurs, seemingly careful not to leave any damning marks on him. Steve would let him if he knew it wouldn't subject him to a world of shit at work on Monday. His coworkers are nosey, and the kids are likely to ask how he got a bruise on his neck without realizing what it is.
"I already told you what I wanted," Steve groans, his hands fisted in Eddie's shirt, contemplating the merits of ripping it off entirely.
Eddie chuckles, a dark thing, and pulls back to look at Steve with dangerous clarity. His thigh is wedged between Steve's, right up against his rapidly growing erection, and Steve's practically vibrating with need.
"Remind me again what that was, sweetheart," Eddie prompts, grinding his hips forward and his thigh up, knocking a shaky moan from Steve's panting lips.
"Ah! Want- want you to show me—" he chokes out, rutting down against Eddie's leg, cursing the layers between them.
"Gonna have to be more specific," Eddie teases, even though he's already working on the buttons of Steve's shirt.
Steve's brain is already fuzzy, rutting mindlessly against Eddie's thigh while Eddie works his shirt open enough to attach his lips to his collarbone. There he finally sucks a mark in the safe zone, the first of many, Steve hopes.
“I w-want you to show me how you became a daddy,” Steve stutters out, fully yanking on Eddie’s shirt at this point. He needs him naked and inside him yesterday.
“Good boy.”
It’s a flurry of rushed movements after that. Clothes go flying, Steve trips on his way to the bedroom like he doesn’t know where he’s going, and Eddie’s laugh lights him up inside.
Eddie pins him to the bed, staring down with stars in his eyes.
“You want me to be your daddy, baby?” he asks, running his hands up Steve’s sides in a way that’s too ticklish for the words he’s saying. “Fuck you raw and keep you full ‘til it takes?”
Steve whimpers, reaching for Eddie’s arms to tug him down.
“Yes, daddy. Please,” Steve pants. Eddie’s cock brushes against his own every time Steve’s hips jump, needing to feel him. “Want it. Want your baby. Give your daughter a sibling.”
Eddie groans and captures his mouth in a filthy kiss before reaching for the lube.
Steve’s mind — and mouth — run through all kinds of scenarios while Eddie opens him up. If only he could get pregnant. Steve’s always wanted kids, a big family, a partner to love and kids to spoil. Maybe 𝘌𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘦 could do that for him. It’s way too soon, but —
“Fuck, 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦,” Eddie moans, sucking another mark into the crease where’s Steves hip meets his thigh, three-fingers deep already. “You gotta shut up before I tie you down and keep you forever.”
“Want it, want it,” Steve repeats, past the point of caring that he’s a pathetic begging mess. “Please, daddy. Give it to me!”
And he does. Eddie’s careful when he finally presses in, but Steve’s having none of it. He wants this fast and dirty. They can make love later. He needs Eddie to breed him over and over until nature and the universe rewrites itself.
Eddie’s hammering at his insides, one hand jerking Steve off, the other holding himself up as he sucks another mark right over Steve’s heart.
"𝘋𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘺!" is all the warning Steve gets out before he’s cumming hard, back bowing and blood boiling.
“Steve, baby, 𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬!" Eddie grunts, finding his own end deep inside Steve.
It won’t take, but Steve can pretend it does. He can hold Eddie close like they’ve been doing this all their life and will keep doing it forever.
“God, I hope so, baby,” Eddie breathes against his neck.
Oops, apparently Steve was thinking out loud again.
“Me too, daddy,” he says nonsensically.
Eddie snorts and kisses the side of his sweaty throat. He leaves his face buried there while they attempt to come back down, just breathing together.
After a moment, Eddie mumbles, almost too quietly for Steve’s ears to pick up: “How many dates do I have to take you on until we can tell Minnie?”
Steve’s heart stops and restarts. Eddie wants to do that? Roleplaying was one thing, but he actually wants his daughter to know they’re… what? Dating? Officially together? Trying to get pregnant even though that’s not going to work?
Okay, maybe not the last part. She’s only 4.
“Um,” Steve hesitates, swallowing around a dry lump. “It’s your call, Eddie. You already know I love her.”
Eddie nods against his shoulder and tucks in tighter against him.
They don’t have to figure it out yet. They have time.
[Part 5]
Steve’s pretty sure he has a perpetual blush every time he sees Minnie now. Never mind that his coworkers seem to know exactly how close he is with her dad just by looking at him. It’s like he has “Daddy’s Boy” written across his forehead now.
The Friday before Father’s day, Steve and his co-teachers are helping the children make hand-print awards that say things like “# 1 dad” or “# 1 papa”.
“Mr. Steve,” Minnie says from across the little table that he and several of her classmates are sitting around.
It takes all of his self control not to keep her plastered to his side at all times. Eddie desperately wants to tell her about them, but Steve’s worried about confusing her.
He’s also worried that Eddie will change his mind, but he’s terrified to say that out loud, like it’ll manifest immediately if he gives it breath. The fact Eddie is so adamant means the world to him, but his own history with flighty parents means he doesn’t want to risk being that in Minnie’s life. She means as much to him as Eddie does, possibly more because she’s such an angel and he would be lucky to be there for her, however Eddie wants him to be.
So when she says his name in her little voice, his heart flutters and his focus is 100% on her -- a dangerous task when he has Daniel next to him with paint all over his hands.
“Yes, Minnie-moo?” Steve asks, the nickname still making her giggle.
“How do you spell rockstar?” she asks. She has her pencil poised and ready to let him list off the letters. Steve does, doing his best to not let Daniel run amok with gold fingers while helping Minnie create a # 1 Rockstar award for her dad.
“Thank you!” Minnie says excitedly before grabbing her art and running over to Robin. Steve just knows Eddie’s going to cry when he sees it. Hell, Steve can feel the burning of tears behind his own eyes as he thinks about the two of them. They’re a perfect family, and the fact that Eddie wants him to be part of that, even so soon, is something Steve still can’t wrap his head around.
Instead, he tries to refocus on helping the other kids who are making gifts for their parents, and probably doing a terrible job at pretending he’s not always half-watching Minnie.
At the end of the day, while Steve’s chasing the kids around during recess, a gorgeous swath of dark curls catches his eye. He spins toward the gate, spotting Eddie among the other eager parents waiting for their children.
“Happy Father’s day,” Steve says when he approaches the gate, once again keeping his attention mostly on the children playing.
“Thank you again, sweetheart,” Eddie murmurs, sending him a wink.
Again, meaning after Steve texted him first thing that morning. Steve feels his entire face heat up because what he actually told him that morning was “happy father’s day daddy.”
“Minnie has a gift for you,” he deflects.
“I’ll grab it!” Robin pipes up, nearly scaring the shit out of Steve in the process.
“Oh! Uh… thank you, Ms. Robin,” Steve stammers, before dropping low to scoop a giggly Minnie into his arms. “You ready to give your daddy a happy father’s day?”
“We made cards!” she tells him, proud as anything.
“Yeah?” Eddie chuckles. “Is it gonna make me cry?”
“Probably,” she states, suddenly very serious. Steve and Eddie both glance at each other, nervous smiles on their faces.
As Robin reappears from the classroom, arms held behind her back, Minnie wiggles in Steve’s arms. “Ms. Robin, I can give them to them, right?”
“Of course you can, Minnie,” Robin replies with a megawatt smile.
“Mr. Steve, can you put me down please?”
Steve blinks a few times, thoroughly confused. “Oh! Sure, of course, Miss Minnie.”
He sets her on the ground, looking over to find the overly fond look on Eddie’s face at the entire interaction.
“Thank you,” Minnie chimes, smoothing her My Little Pony dress out immediately.
“You can walk her out, dingus,” Robin mutters as Minnie walks toward the door to the office.
“But--” he starts, cut off by his boss who opens the door and waves him inside. Steve hesitates only for a moment before chasing after Minnie, scooping her back into his arms before carrying her out to the parking lot. Eddie has moved toward the front door, already waiting for them both with open arms. Steve just steps into them, melting immediately into a group hug with two of his favorite people.
“I missed you both so much,” Eddie coos, planting a smacking kiss to Minnie’s cheek while surreptitiously squeezing Steve’s hip.
Minnie kisses him back before turning dangerously in Steve’s grasp to call out: “Ms. Robin! My awards!”
“Of course, Minnie, darling,” Robin says with over-inflated grandeur, bowing and then holding several pieces of paper between the bars. Steve shuffles them close enough for Minnie to grab, confused as to why there’s more than one.
“Here,” Minnie says, immediately holding them out for Eddie to take without explanation. Eddie’s eyebrows raise as he accepts them, turning them over to see.
The first is the one Steve helped her with, her hand the centerpiece of an award with # 1 Rockstar written on a would-be plaque.
“Oh, Minnie,” Eddie whispers, tears gathering in his eyes. Steve wants to gather him back up in his arms, but refrains in public.
“There’s more,” Minnie states proudly, and Steve watches Eddie shuffle the top award to the back.
The second says “# 1 grampa” spelled exactly as she pronounces it. Steve’s eyes burn and he’s not able to wipe away the tear that escapes since he has his arms full of the thoughtful 4-year-old.
“It’s for Grampa Wayne,” she explains, like Eddie might be confused.
Eddie sniffles, pressing the award stack to his chest as he says, “He’s gonna love it, sweet pea.”
Minnie looks proud, which makes Steve feel proud too, even if he knows Robin helped her with it. He’s so proud of Minnie for being the amazing little girl she is, but also so proud of Eddie for being the incredible father that she needs.
Eddie moves in to wrap them both back in a hug when Minnie cries: “Wait there’s one more!”
“Oh! Of course, I’m sorry,” Eddie says, his voice a little strained despite the breathtaking smile on his face.
He shuffles the pages once more, freezing when the last one is revealed.
Steve only helped with the first one; he had no idea she made three of them.
He stands there with Minnie in his arms, watching Eddie’s eyebrows draw together and then up, the tears in his eyes pooling even more. It’s all incredibly worrying because Steve’s never seen Eddie cry this much, and now he’s terrified about what the final one says.
“Is everything okay?” Steve asks after a moment, glancing at Robin for a second, who looks on the verge of tears herself despite the smile on her face.
“Yeah, sweetheart,” Eddie whispers, and then turns the pages over for Steve to see.
There, on the would-be plaque under Minnie’s tiny hand print, says “#1 Steve.”
Steve gasps, eyes raking over the scribbly handwriting again and again.
“Oh no,” Minnie mumbles, her smile falling and big brown eyes tearing up, “It makes you sad.”
Steve chuckles around a sob and holds Minnie tighter, burying his face in her familiar curly hair. “No, baby girl. I’m so happy.”
“Happy tears?” she asks when he pulls back.
“Very happy tears. My number one Minnie,” he replies. Her face lights up once more as she throws her arms around Steve’s neck and attempts to squeeze the life out of him.
Steve looks to Eddie, making sure everything about this is okay. The man looks elated, tears flowing freely. Steve almost forgets they’re standing in the parking lot of his job.
“Now?” Eddie mouths. Steve, blinking back more tears, nods definitively. “Hey Minnie-moo,” Eddie says, running his fingers through his daughter’s hair to get her attention. “What do you think of Mr. Steve being around outside of school? Like, as daddy’s boyfriend?”

I am cross-posting this on Archive and Wattpad. Please reblog! If you know anyone that would like this or future fics but they aren't on here my name and icon are exactly the same on the other sites. Happy reading!
"Your favorite color is red, right?" Felix asked out of nowhere. Jisung looked over at him, then back to the screen. An odd thing to ask while gaming…He was now curious and paused the game, setting the controller down.
"Why?"
"It is right?" Felix asked again and Jisung nodded, suspicious. Felix hummed and typed something into his phone that lay on the couch out of view of the other.
"Why?" He reiterated.
"I needed to tell (Y/N) what color to get." Is all Felix said.
"Why?" Jisung repeated. Felix was asking casually…too casually. When Felix didn't answer, Jisung lunged over him to grab his phone and the other guy yelled in protest, trying to wrestle him away. Unfortunately for your boyfriend, Jisung was stronger and managed to get away with the phone. Felix flopped onto the couch, glaring at the other as he scrolled through the phone.
☀️: They have animals, but I don't think anyone anywhere makes a Quokka set. 🐤: Is there like a chipmunk or a squirrel? ☀️: No...There is a set of mouse ears but they got with a Minnie Mouse set. 🐤: What do they have? ☀️: Fox, Dog, Cat, Rabbit, Horse, Cow... 🐤: Seriously, they have a cow set? 🐤: Okay. Do they have anything normal there or do you have to go to a different store? ☀️: No I can find something here...
Jisung scowled at the conversation and kept reading.
☀️: No I can find something here... ☀️: What's his favorite color? 🐤: Red
Three little dots bounced as you typed, and he waited nervously for what you might be saying.
🐤: Red ☀️: Red is popular. There is silk, lace, fishnet, leather...
What? Jisung was starting to put pieces together but was still confused. It didn't make sense.
"What the fuck is this?" Jisung held Felix's phone up to him and your boyfriend scrambled off the couch to grab the device. He looked at your newest message.
You were looking over the choices, feeling the different materials of the different sets. You glanced back at your phone, the dots popping up to show Felix was typing.
🐤: Pictures?
You huffed and snuck a pic of the display. Luckily the store was sorted by color, so the whole display was just lingerie sets in red.
"What is happening?" Jisung mumbled and opened his mouth to shout, and Felix waved his hand to call him over. He did so hesitantly, and your boyfriend showed him the picture you set. His face blossomed red, and he gaped.
"W-what?"
"Which do you like, on her?" Felix asked and his friend flinched back.
"What, why?"
"She picked you for a threesome." Felix shrugged. He wasn't dumb, he knew his friend would most likely agree. On the off chance he didn't, Felix could pick instead.
"A threesome!?" Jisung nearly screamed and the other man shushed him.
"Yeah. You in?"
"WHAT!?" The other man was trying to wrap his head around what was happening.
"You. In?"
"OF COURSE. Give me the phone!" Jisung shouted and yoinked the device from Felix, looking at the picture.
"Tell her to get the one on the top rack, second to last." He shoved the phone back to his friend who laughed and relayed the message.
🐤: Pictures? ☀️: Attachment Loading 🔄 ☀️: Attachment Sent 🔗 🐤: ✅ 🐤: He's in 🐤: Get the one with the black
You looked at your phone and smiled, feeling giddy. Unfortunately for you though you could not reach the one he picked so you had to signal to an employee. She stood on her tips toes and got it down for you and you held it up to make sure it was the right size.
"You need to try it on?" The worker asked and you shook your head.
"No, I've gotten this brand, so I know it’s right." You hooked the hanger on your arm and went to look at the thigh-highs and garters. You looked at the tag and it gave you the set number and you picked out the matching accessories.
"Your man sure is lucky." The worker cooed as you put the items on the counter to pay. You pulled out the card from your bag, it actually had Felix's name on it.
"Oh, he gave you his card?" She teased and you shook your head.
"Just for this. He's getting his friend to pay him back after." You realized what you let slip but tried to play it off.
"His friend, hm?" She just smirked, not pressing and you were grateful. You left the establishment and started back to your apartment. By the time you got home and had gotten all ready, the boys should be arriving.
True to your estimate, as you were straightening the thigh-highs you had on, the door dinged as Felix keyed in the code.
"You were all ready for this before I agreed?" You heard Jisung as they walked in.
"I knew you would." You could hear Felix too and knew he shrugged with his statement. You adjusted your headband; it was round black ears with red ribbons. Closest you could get to a Quokka. The actual lingerie was a red bra with black frills and the panties were crotchless, also with black frills. The thigh highs were black tight fishnet with red bows hiding the little lines of rubber that held them up. Your nails were painted every other red and black to match. Felix told you to wear the red liquid lipstick he got, but you were worried about getting it off since it was advertised to last 48 hours. A little ridiculous, who would need it on that long? The final touch was the butt plug you had to slide in yourself. There wasn't a matching tail to go with your set to add to the silicone plug, so you just got a simple black tail similar to a cat's. The only piece you already had was the black silk choker Felix got you some time back, a tag hanging off of it with his name on it. They were both giddy to see you all dressed up, Jisung even more so. He was still buzzing with the thrill of learning his friend's girlfriend wanted to fuck him too. For some reason, it made it even better that Felix was involved too. That was something to think about later.
"Love?"
"Ready!" you called back and bounced a bit on your toes, waiting for them both to come in. You were a bit shocked when Jisung came in first, expecting Felix to lead the way.
"Fuck, sweetheart~" He groaned. He still had his coat on even, and he very quickly shed it, throwing it to the ground. He was…eager, to say the least. Every item of clothing he removed he did so aggressively. You were too busy watching him to see Felix come in behind him. He snuck past him against the wall and his fingers brushed over your lower back as he passed, heading to the nightstand. The original plan was for you to start by helping Jisung undress, but he was moving fast. He untied his scarf, nearly choking himself in the process of taking it off. A button popped off his shirt as he nearly ripped it open, and your mouth watered when he got his tank top off as well. His tiny little waist and broad shoulders matched with his muscular arms and defined veins were delicious. He looked so good; you had made a good choice.
"J-Ji-" You tried to slow him down, coming forward to lay your hands on him. When you got close enough, he pulled you to him and you yelped. Your bare stomach pressed to his, and you could feel his hard cock straining against his jeans. Before you could say another word, his lips sealed over yours, swallowing your squeak. Felix didn't say anything, or move to stop him, so you relaxed. His hands wandered your form, and he groaned as his hand rubbed over your butt, and lightly tugged at the tail of your plug. You squeaked again and stumbled, resting your hands on the waist band of his pants to steady yourself.
"Slow down, Ji." Felix came up behind you and you pulled back, gasping for breath and Jisung stared you down. His eyes were practically on fire, and you jumped, startled when Felix's cold hands came to rest on your waist above where Jisung was fondling the flesh of your butt. Your boyfriend started to kiss along the side of your neck and over your shoulder. You whimpered, trying to tilt your head to allow him better access, but the other man descended to the other side and laid searing kisses there himself. Jisung's were rougher and he nibbled and sucked, Felix was licking your skin more.
"Felix? The rules?" You prompted and he grunted, grinding his own hard on into the cleft of your ass, pressing against the plug. You huffed and Jisung's hands moved from your butt, one going to the back of your head, pulling you back into a kiss. You felt his arm brush your side, and he hooked his finger into the belt loop of Felix's jeans and pulled him to grind into you again. As Jisung wrestled his tongue with yours, Felix's hand buried under your panties and stroked two fingers through your slick folds. The speed and intensity were already making your head swim, you had to steady yourself again with your hand on Jisung's chest. You whined when he pulled away and he let you go, stepping back so he could remove his pants. Your hand went behind you to palm Felix's bulge as he fucked two of his fingers into you, pressing against your back wall to nudge the plug. Your focus went back to the other man as his pants fell and he smirked as you watched intently. His fingers slowly hooked in the waist band of his tight black boxer briefs, pulled it up and over the tip of himself and let the garment fall. You nearly gasped. He was the same length as your boyfriend, but thicker. Your mouth watered and your cunt clenched around Felix's fingers. He smirked against your neck and as he removed his digits, he swirled them around your clit.
"Go." He lightly smacked your butt, and you scurried forward to kneel before Jisung. You marveled at his dick; he was so pretty in so many ways. As you reached to wrap your hand around him, he noticed Felix fiddling with his phone and you yiped when the toy flared to life, buzzing inside you. Felix still had not stated the rules, and you thought he might have mentioned them earlier to Jisung. Though, since the other man immediately shoved his tongue in your mouth, you weren't sure.
"Don't worry, love. I won't let him do anything you don't like." Felix assured and you nodded back at him, looking up at Jisung nervously. You knew the two were close, but there was something else flittering in the air. You were used to cute, soft little Jisung, a sweet smiling Quokka. This was almost a different man, there was a dark blaze in his eyes and an extremely cocky grin spread over his face.
"Open up, sweetheart." His thumb stroked your bottom lip, and you removed your hand from the base of his cock, your fingers couldn't even touch.
"F-Felix?" you called out, still looking up at Jisung.
"I'm okay with it, love." He answered and so you opened your mouth wide, tongue out. The man before you huffed, smug, then his hand dug into your hair and he fucked his fat cock into your hot, wet mouth, and down your throat. You keened as your nose hit his groin. He smirked down at you, your eyes already watering and looking up at him wide.
"Here, 'Lix." He motioned to your boyfriend who sidled up to you both and you felt him kneel behind you. One hand wrapped softly around your throat; it was bulging with his friends length buried in it. He could tell you were needing air and nodded to Jisung who pulled his hips back, and you sucked in air harshly through your nose when you finally could.
"That's her limit." Felix told Jisung who hummed and then he started to fuck your face. You tried not to moan too much, but your jaw ached in the best way. Felix grinded his still covered hard-on into your backside, holding your head in place for Jisung, his other hand rubbing over your stomach.
"Good girl, love." He cooed in your ear and a tear flowed over your cheek, face red. He allowed you to breathe every so often, but your vision still spotted, more from ecstasy than lack of air. You weren't sure why your normally, still soft, dominant boyfriend was letting his friend take control. You were far from complaining, however.
"I'm gonna cum, sweetheart." Jisung grunted and he pulled out further and you sucked in air and Felix nodded for him to go head, so he buried his cock as deep as he could and came. You swallowed over and over, gagging slightly as he pumped the hot and thick substance into you. Your cunt clenched, and Felix smiled to himself that you didn't cum yourself. You always did with him. When the other man pulled out, you fell back into your boyfriend, panting. Jisung's dick was still half-hard, drool and cum dripping from him and down your chin.
"Hm, so good, (Y/N)." He smirked and you flinched a bit when Felix's hand on your throat moved to wipe the fluid from your bottom lip. You were even more shocked when he sucked it off his thumb himself.
"You like Ji's cock, love?" You nodded in response, and you stood up at your boyfriend's prompting. Jisung snapped his fingers and Felix pulled something from his pocket and tossed it to him. It was a green lubrication bottle, melon flavored. He looked over the label and you shuffled nervously before Felix led you to the bed. Instead of having you lay on your back at the end of the bed, Jisung followed and laid on his back in the middle of the bed. Felix had you lean over, and you whined as he pulled the still buzzing plug out.
"Come here, sweetheart." Jisung called. Looking at your boyfriend, he nodded, and went to literally sit on his face. Facing toward Felix still, Jisung smirked and squeezed a glob of gel straight onto your pucker, rubbing it around then into you. It made you mewl, and he tossed the bottle down the bed, then his hands grabbed your hips, arms around your upper thighs.
"Ah!" You squealed when he pulled you down on him, his tongue thrusting into your hole. His tongue was even more dexterous than Felix's and longer too. You whimpered when he moved your hips himself, letting his tongue flick over your clit. He licked through your folds, then his tongue slid into your cunt, before going back to your ass. You finally looked up at your boyfriend. He had finally removed his pants and was standing at the end of the bed, stroking his cock. When your eyes met, he joined you two on the bed, then stood on the mattress so your face was level with his cock. You whined and obediently opened your mouth so Felix could slide in. Your eyes rolled at the familiar taste, and he smirked and started thrusting. With Jisung's tongue in your ass and Felix's cock in your mouth, your poor little pussy was feeling quite empty. When your boyfriend pulled back, you whimpered, and he huffed a laugh.
"Move down, sweetheart." Jisung got you off his face and you shuffled down as Felix sat on the bed himself. He shifted and settled himself between Jisung's legs, their cocks nearly brushing each other so they were in the right spots. You saw where it was heading and were a bit nervous. You were used to Felix inside your ass, and Jisung was thicker by a good bit. It was hard for you to wrap your head around what you saw as a submissive move on Felix's part to Jisung.
"Can you take both at the same time?" Felix asked and you nodded nervously, willing to try though.
"Good girl, sweetheart." Jisung cooed and wrapped his hands around your upper waist, your boyfriend’s on your lower hips. They helped you adjust, Felix kissing over your upper chest and the other man sucking hickeys over your shoulder blades. Your skin was on fire already, so when the heads of their cocks both pressed at both your entrances, it was like falling in lava. You let out a high-pitched moan, nearly squealing as they filled you, inch by inch. They were about the same length, but Jisung's thicker cock spreading you at the same time as your boyfriend's cock filled your cunt. They let you adjust after burying to the hilt, each one had a leg draped over the other's hip to be close enough for the position to work. Because you were shorter than them both, you were all about level and you shivered, trying to get used to being so incredibly full. Jisung shifted and you squeaked, his hand sneaking past your peripheral sight. You thought he was going to wrap his hand around your throat, pull you to him, but it instead went to the back of Felix's head. You blinked and gasped when Felix moved at Jisung's behest. Your boyfriend thrusted into you, and you fell forward onto his chest. You tipped your head to watch as Jisung pulled Felix closer, then sealed his lips to the other man's. Your walls clenched at the sight, kind of in shock. Felix was a bit surprised as well, but he just rolled with it. You wondered if your boyfriend was like this with any of the other boys, or just Jisung. When the one behind you let Felix go, he nipped the other's lower lip. Felix panted, burying his head in your neck, moaning softly. He had never been so submissive before and you both gasped when Jisung jumped his hips up, thrusting into you hard.
"Kay, 'Lix." He nodded and laid back more so he could leverage off the bed with his back pressed into the mattress. Felix's hips were forced up along with Jisung's with each trust, and he more grinded into you than anything, letting his friend do more of the work. Without both of them holding you, you would have fallen, your body shaking and weak as they fucked the sense out of you. Everything burned in the best way, and you felt tears flow down your cheeks as you whimpered over and over.
"J-Jisung!" Felix grunted and you could feel his cock twitch, signifying he was close.
"Hold on, 'Lix." His friend groaned, his hips pumping harder, and you hiccupped, trying to catch your breath.
"Okay, cum." Jisung ordered, and you weren't sure if he was talking to Felix or you, but all three of you fell apart together. Your insides filled with heat, so much that it spurted around the edge of where their cocks met you, making a sticky mess. Both you and Felix fell, boneless, him on the bed and you on top of him. Jisung chuckled, sitting up and you keened as he withdrew from you. He smiled at the sight of you two and Felix stroked your hair as you panted on top of him.
"Didn't know you were so rough, Ji~" You mewled as he got off the bed. He huffed amused and Felix mumbled into your ear, "neither did I.”

Jeffrey Dahmer and the relationship with animals
Unlike other serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer never found interest on harming or torturing animals. In fact, abusing animals since childhood it’s an important factor which may link to future violence towards humans. However, hurting animals wasn’t under Jeffrey Dahmer’s radar.
“We’d go out and play in the fields, run around, she was a good dog to have.” -Jeffrey Dahmer
Childhood:
Since he was a kid he showed interest in animals, having a goldfish and a turtle as pets at only 18-months-old. The mother, Joyce, remembered those moments with affection, affirming the kind relationship his boy had with the animals: “Jeff was so very gentle with the turtle”.
He also had a cat, Buffy, during the time the family was living at Pammel Court. Unfortunately, due to the father’s job, The Dahmers had to move in Bath, Ohio, and they had to be sell Buffy. It was at that time, at age 7, that Dahmer was given a puppy to help distract him from the recent move. He named the puppy Frisky, she was a lovely black and white dog, and Jeffrey was very close to her.
Also around that time Jeffrey’s brother, David , was born. He loved his brother, yet he loved his dog more, as Joyce recalled: “…More adjusting for Jeff, but he loves Davy and is good to him. Frisky comes first in his heart, though. They really romp and play”. Jeffrey spent time playing and running out the camps with the dog.
Jeffrey Dahmer and a cat, possibly Buffy
Around age two or three, a curious fact had happened. His father was riding his bicycle with Jeffrey seated on the handlebars, when Jeffrey spotted what looked like a ball of dust (in the eyes of Lionel). Curious and pointing at it, Jeffrey encouraged the father to come closer, when Lionel noticed it was a baby nighthawk which had fallen from the nest. With Jeffrey’s urging, Lionel took the little bird at home and raised it with Jeffrey on his side. At the beginning they nursed it feeding it a mixture of milk and corn syrup, to switch with solid food later once the bird became strong enough. It almost became a pet, and a name was given: “Dusty”. “It was almost like a pet. It would come back when you called it, eat out of your hand and stuff like that.” Joyce said. When the bird grew and became stronger, it was ready to be released. It was Lionel who cradled it and took it outside, and when he opened the hand the bird flew away. It was a delightful moment, and all the three members of the family were happy.
Around age seven or eight instead, the first violent act of the child showed up. Jeffrey developed a certain fondness for the assistant teacher at school, and so he decided to give her a present. It was an innocent child gesture, a naive gift, but significant for little Jeffrey. He caught a bowl of tadpoles in a stream nearby a school where the family was used to go, to give them to the teacher as a sign of affection. Unfortunately after some time he would’ve found out the bowl was given to his friend Lee. He felt betrayed and as a sign of revenge he sneaked into Lee’s house garage (where the tadpoles were kept) and killed the animals pouring motor oil into their water.
“It stood about as tall as this table, short fur, looked like a Doberman, real friendly dog. My dog was chasing it into the street and this car came by and both dogs were together, right next to each other, and that car slammed into the big dog and just missed mine by that much. Boy, did I feel lucky.”
Dahmer remembering an episode with Frisky and the dog of his neighbours
Adolescence:
During adolescence he focused on his single hobby, started years before. At first he began watching and starring animals, such as snakes, toads, crabs, turtles, fish and wild rabbits. When living in Bath, Ohio, Jeffrey spent a great amount of time in a hut next to the house, collecting rests of animals. There was a skeletons collection, with the rests of squirrels, birds and chipmunks, and there was a jars collection with insects inside in formaldehyde. He even had a graveyard outside where he buried the dead animals.
However, his interest grew more and more, and it evolved in road-kills interest: he picked up dead animals in the streets, which were invested by cars, bringing them home. He was interested on the “mechanics” of the inside, and he wanted to know how it “worked”. He cut them open down the front, exposing the innards. Still, none of the animals were alive during the process, as he picked up dead creatures specifically. He usually found foxes, opossums, cats, raccoons and dogs. One of the dogs he found was very large, and after he brought it home as his usual, he waited for the skin to rot off to collect the bones later then. Another one was a Beagle, and after examining the insides, he grabbed the skull of the creature, putting it on a pole. Curiously, another time again, a chilling fact occurred, when he kidnapped a dog of a neighbour with the intent of killing it. He didn’t find the courage to do so after watching at the dog, and so he freed it. There’s also been one time in school where he stole the feral pig from the biology laboratory, taking it home and once in the garage, he removed the skin and flesh and kept the skull of the pig.
When in highschool, Jeffrey Dahmer shared a friendship with a certain Jeff Six, another student of the Revere High School. The friendship wasn’t deep at all, and it required no specific commitment. It was with him that Jeffrey spent some time in his car. Unfortunately, Six had a weird sadistic habit which Jeffrey didn’t like at all. While on the road, if a dog was spotted, Six would speed up to hit the animal. “His big thrill was to find a dog that was walking in the road and speed up real fast and hit it. It just amazed me. In one day he went through four dogs. How many dogs just walked into the road in front of him . . . He’d speed up real fast and just tick them off.” Dahmer said subsequently. One time in particular marked Dahmer quite a lot, when Six hit a little puppy, and when the latter looked back and Dahmer noticed his terrified eyes, he insisted to stop the car so he could go away, sickened by these acts.
The dog’s skull on a pole
Jeffrey Dahmer never killed an animal himself. It is frequently the case that people who grow into multiple murderers have evolved from sadistic children, and cruelty to animals in childhood is a common characteristic shared among them. Dahmer’s case is different in this regard as in most others. He displayed no cruelty, and was not interested in watching an animal suffer or react to pain.

Adult life:
When living with his grandmother in West Allis, Wisconsin, he took care of the grandma’s cat, Jody, who liked. Jeffrey expressed his love for cats even with his neighbours, Vernell and Pamela Bass, when he saw their cat on their apartment. “He was very impressed when he saw our cat walk out of the bedroom picking her up and saying he liked cats a lot.” Vernell explained. Douglas Jackson, downstairs neighbor, also stated he was used to see Dahmer in the backyard smoking cigarettes or drinking beers surrounded by cats, which followed him wherever he went.
As he moved in his own apartment in Milwaukee, Apt 213 at 924 North 25th Street, he allowed himself to get a fish tank. It was a 30-gallon aquarium bought from The Fish Factory, a fish shop where he would usually wander around admiring the variety of fishes there, from their colours to their shapes. He was so fascinated indeed, so much that when he got caught they found books about fish care in his apartment. “It was nice, with African cichlids and tiger barbs in it and live plants, it was a beautifully kept fish tank, very clean . . . I used to like to just sit there and watch them swim around, basically. I used to enjoy the planning of the set-up, the filtration, read about how to keep the nitrate and ammonia down to safe levels and just the whole spectrum of fish-keeping interested me.” Dahmer said. He was so enthusiastic about trigger fish and puffer fish as well. He reminded the time when he saw the puffer fish in the store with enthusiasm: “I once saw some puffer fish in the store. It’s a round fish, and the only ones I ever saw with both eyes in front, like a person’s eyes, and they would come right up to the front of the glass and their eyes would be crystal blue, like a person’s, real cute.”. This was a very precious hobby for Dahmer, and after his arrest he would recall his aquarium moments with nostalgia, missing them.
Jeffrey and Jody at grandmother’s house in 1990.
“The cat's doing fine. She always wants to be brushed."
Jeff nodded.
"You know how she likes that."
"Yeah."
"She's always trying to be brushed," I said. "Remember how you used to do it?"
He stared at me silently.

I Was Enchanted To Meet You: Part One
A/N: Happy @elucienweekofficial lovelies! I'm super excited to share this fic with you all! I'll be posting a new part every day for the remainder of Elucien Week! Now, when I last watched Disney's Enchanted, it was so clear that Elain IS Giselle and Lucien IS Robert (and Cassian is absolutely the himbo prince and Nesta is Idina Menzel), and nothing says Magic, today's prompt, like that movie, right? So, hopefully, everyone agrees and everyone enjoys :)
Read on AO3 // Chapter Masterlist // Next Part
Elain
The music is light and melodic as it floats around her. It twists around her limbs like a warm, summer’s breeze, like sunlight, filling her chest with a blooming warmth that digs its roots deep between her ribs. Elain follows the steps with ease, gliding across the floor and twirling around with each swell of the song.
But it’s the hand at the small of her back, the other one that’s equally warm and steady clasped with her own, that truly draws Elain’s attention. There’s something so familiar yet unfamiliar in the feel of them against her body, in the way they curl around her fingers. Something that settles deep in her veins, that leaves her feeling safe, that has her feeling like home.
She twirls around again, and a face comes swimming into view, and those eyes…
Elain wakes with a quiet gasp, her eyes snapping open. She blinks a few times, her heart still fluttering away in her chest, before her surroundings come back into focus. Sunlight spills in through the open windows and into her cottage, long golden streaks bouncing off the wood, leaving shimmering spotlights across the blankets on her bed. Just outside she can hear the sweet songs of the birds of the forest, ready to start their morning.
“Elain?”
Elain glances to her right and smiles when she finds that Pip has climbed up onto her bed. The chipmunk tilts his head in concern, wide eyes blinking up at her.
“Oh, Pip,” Elain sighs longingly, holding her hands to her chest like she can still feel those hands curled around her fingers. “I had the most wondrous dream. There was a prince and we were dancing to a beautiful melody.”
“A prince?” Pip asks, hopping across the mattress to follow Elain when she gets up from the bed.
“Yes, and he had these eyes…” Elain’s steps pause in the middle of the room, that final image of her dream flashing across her mind like a swirling mist she can’t quite grasp onto. “He was my true love. I’m sure of it.”
“Well, we’ll just have to find him then. What did he look like?”
Elain hums consideringly, settling her hands on her hips. She tries to think how best to describe her prince, how to paint a perfect picture of everything that he was, but her mind keeps coming up blank. There simply aren’t the right words when it comes to that face, to that feeling that had washed over her so surely and taken up roots between her ribs even still now that she’s awake. He was everything, but that doesn’t really help or answer Pip’s question. But then an idea strikes her.
“We’re going to need some help,” Elain declares, striding over to the window of her cottage.
Cupping her hand to her mouth, Elain leans out the window and sings a tune, the forest around her quick to answer the melody back to her. She steps back just as her forest friends begin to crowd around the cottage and to clamber in through the window. Rabbits and squirrels and deer and bluebirds and foxes all flood into the space, peering up at her with wide eyes and wide smiles, clearly all happy to see her and excited to help. It has light warmth swelling and pitter pattering away between her ribs, so lucky to have so many forest friends.
“Oh, I’m so glad that you all can help,” Elain tells the animals gathered, making sure to smile at each and every one. “We’ll need to gather all the supplies we can to help recreate my true love.”
“Alright alright,” Pip claps his paws together, having climbed up onto Elain’s table. “Let’s get to work, people! We need to build this true love while it’s still ingrained in her subcranium.”
Pip continues to clap his paws together to get everyone moving, but it works, all of Elain’s forest friends jumping into action. The bluebirds fly to grab the fabric near Elain’s spinning wheel while the rabbits push over her dress form. Elain takes the fabric with a quiet thanks, draping it across the shoulders of the dress form like a jacket. She stands back to admire her work and adjusts the fabric until it’s to her liking, but then a nudge against her hand draws her attention. She glances down to find her deer friends, each with a bundle of white wildflowers in their mouth.
“Thank you so much,” Elain tells them, taking the wildflowers and arranging them so they act as trimming along the makeshift jacket she’s created for her prince.
“How’s this, Elain?” the owl asks, place long, autumn leaves on the head of the dress form so they drape like hair along the shoulders.
Elain smiles widely as she admires the color, almost a perfect match for the shade she remembers from her dream. “Just perfect.”
“And these for the eyes?” one of the rabbits questions, holding up two acorns.
Elain gasps quietly, plucking both the acorns from the rabbit’s paws and holding them up. “How did you know? The color practically burns just like his.” She settles the acorns securely in the makeshift face she’s created atop the dress form, stepping back once more and letting out a happy sigh. “There. He’s perfect.”
“Is he finished?” Pip asks. “Let's see this prince then.”
“Now presenting… my one true love,” Elain announces, turning the dress form around so all her forest friends can see. All the animals gathered ooo and ah, and Elain’s smile grows at their reaction. She turns her own attention back to the recreation of her prince, but then her eyes widen and she frowns. “Oh, no. I forgot to give him lips.”
One of the deer tilts its head confusedly. “Does he have to have lips?”
“Of course he does. How else are we meant to share true love’s kiss?” Elain explains gently before spinning back toward her recreated prince and curling her arms around the dress form. “I’ve been dreaming of a true love’s kiss and a prince I’m hoping comes with this. That's what brings ever-aftering so happy.” She twirls around with her prince, a mirror to the way they had danced in her dream, as she continues to sing, “and that's the reason we need lips so much, for lips are the only things that touch. So, to spend a life of endless—”
Elain’s singing stutters to an abruptive stop when she realizes that none of her forest friends are even looking at her anymore. Instead, each of her friends’ gaze is all but glued toward the window of her cottage, each pair of eyes wide and fearful. Some of the rabbits are even pointing frantically behind Elain, toward that very same window.
It has all of the hairs on the back of Elain’s neck standing up, trepidation flooding through her veins like ice water. Swallowing hard, Elain turns around slowly, coming face to face with what appears to be a giant eyeball.
“I’ve been dreaming of a true love’s kiss,” a deep voice rumbles, Elain’s entire cottage seeming to shake with the reverberations.
A troll.
There’s a troll outside of Elain’s cottage and peering in at her. Her heart pounds away even as it lodges itself firmly in her throat. All of her forest friends quickly flee, and Elain frantically turns in place, trying desperately to decide the best way for her to escape. The loud, crashing sound of splintering wood echoes around her and is her only warning before the large, green hand of the troll breaks through the window and wall of her cottage and reaches inside. Elain just barely dances out of the reach of those grasping fingers and runs for the door, clambering out of her cottage and up the tree it’s built into.
She climbs higher and higher amongst the branches, but one glance over her shoulder and she finds the troll following just behind her. She quickens her pace, racing onto another branch, but as she gets closer to the end, she realizes she has nowhere left to go, even worse when the troll climbs onto the very same branch and the combined weight sends the branch dipping dangerously.
That green hand reaches for her again, and Elain lets out an alarmed cry and squeezes her eyes shut, accepting her fate and waiting for those fingers to curl around her, but it never comes. Confused, Elain slowly opens her eyes again and peers over her shoulder. The troll is still there, his hand still half outstretched toward her, but there’s a sword now lodged into the wood of the branch, pinning the troll’s hand in place.
“Fear not, fair maiden,” a voice comes from below. “I have come to rescue you.”
Elain looks toward the ground and finds a prince astride a horse. Her prince. He’s come to rescue her. Elain’s heart flutters, and she tries to offer her prince a smile in thanks, but the branch beneath her gives a terrifying groan, still unsteady beneath the weight of her and the troll. She’s not sure how much longer it will hold them, so with a yelp, Elain jumps for the closest branch of the next tree. Her fingers just barely close around the bark, and relief washes over Elain as the loss of her weight sends the troll flying through the sky in the opposite direction.
The relief is short-lived, though, as Elain’s grip on the tree branch starts to slip. She tries to curl her fingers tighter, tries to pull herself up and more firmly onto the branch, but it seems to be futile.
“Pip,” Elain calls out desperately.
“Don’t worry, honey. I’ve got you,” Pip tells her, hopping over to the branch and grabbing at Elain’s fingers with his hands.
But it’s not enough. Despite Pip’s and her own best effort, Elain’s fingers finally slip. She lets out a scream as she goes hurtling toward the ground, her whole body tensing up in anticipation, in fear. And yet, the ground never comes up to meet her. Instead, it’s strong arms that wrap around Elain’s body, holding her secure, holding her safe.
Elain blinks her eyes open in surprise and is greeted by bright, hazel eyes peering down at her. Soft, dark curls fall along the prince’s temples and cheeks to his shoulders, and when their gazes meet, a wide smile pulls its way across the prince’s face until a dimple pops in his left cheek, almost a mirror to the scar running through his right eyebrow.
“Are you alright, fair maiden?” the prince asks.
“I am now,” Elain assures him, tucking a strand of hair back behind her ear. “And please. Call me Elain.”
“Oh, Elain. We shall be married in the morning,” the prince declares, taking both her hands in his. “You’re the fairest maid I’ve ever met. You were made…”
“To finish your duet.”
~ * * * ~
Prince Cassian was right. They were to be married in the morning, which is how Elain finds herself clambering out of a carriage in front of the Andalasia castle. She barely has time to admire the gorgeous white stone, the vines and flowers curling up and around the turrets, the bright blue waterfall that sends water cascading down the side of one of the walls. Instead, Elain hurriedly smoothes out the white fabric of her dress, rushing up the front steps of the castle.
“Wait up, Elain,” Pip cries out behind her. “We’re not finished with you yet.”
But Elain doesn’t have time. She’s already running terribly late, and she can’t leave Prince Cassian waiting a moment longer. She doesn’t want to wait another moment either. She’s to marry her true love today. A moment she’s been dreaming about for forever. Two of her bluebird friends fly over her, gently placing a tiara into her hair as she continues to hurry forward.
“Oh, thank you so much,” Elain tells them, pushing open the large double doors that lead into the castle.
Elain is just crossing over the bridge, the church in sight just ahead, when an old woman pops up in front of her. Elain lets out a soft cry of surprise, nearing tumbling backwards as her steps stutter to such an abrupt stop. The woman smiles up at Elain, the gesture showing off her crooked teeth, and Elain can see strands of gray hair tucked beneath the hood of the cloak the woman is wearing.
“What a pretty bride,” the woman says, her dark eyes dancing over Elain’s dress.
“That’s very kind of you,” Elain tells her, trying to side step around the woman. “But I really must—”
“No, wait!” the woman exclaims, grabbing onto Elain’s wrist. “I have a wedding gift for you, my dear.”
Elain tries to pull her arm free, tries to find the right words to say to politely explain that she simply does not have time, but it doesn’t seem to deter the old woman. She continues to lead Elain further away, and Elain can do nothing but stare forlornly at the church, at her prince waiting for her there.
“It’s a wishing well,” the old woman explains, leading Elain to a waterfall of glittering water.
“But I’m going to be late,” Elain tries to offer again. “And all my wishes are already coming true.”
“But a wish on your wedding day is the most magical of all,” the old woman argues, continuing to tug at Elain until they’re standing right in front of that sparkling water. “Just close your eyes and make a wish.”
Elain hesitates for a moment, once again glancing over her shoulder and toward the church, but the old woman’s hand curls around her shoulder, nudging her attention back to the wishing well. She supposes there really is no harm in making a wish, and as the woman said, it would be especially magical to make one on her wedding day. This way she could ensure she and Prince Cassian really do have everything they both want. That they really do live happily ever after. So, with a soft sigh, Elain closes her eyes and clasps her hands together. She allows all her warmth, all her happiness and love and positive thoughts to bloom deep in her chest. Allows that feeling to bleed into her veins and flood all the way down to her toes. Allows that feeling to fill her mind with every dream she’s ever had of true love and happily ever after.
“I wish…”
But before Elain can finish speaking, she falls forward, tumbling down and down into the darkness below.
~ * * * ~
Lucien
“You never cared about Gordie the way I do!”
Lucien sighs softly, rubbing his fingers against his temples and the throbbing that’s begun to take up home there. It has him starting to wonder if he should have ever taken this case in the first place. He had sworn to Eris that he could handle it, that it would be a walk in the park. And now they're arguing over hockey trading cards. Already, he can imagine how his brother must be laughing at him.
“Mr. Vanserra?” Lucien looks up at the sound of his name, finding Vassa sticking her head through the door, the redhead offering him a sympathetic smile when their gazes meet. “It’s time.”
With a nod, Lucien turns back to the other lawyer sitting across from him, raising his voice so he can be heard over the still arguing couple. “I have to go pick up my daughter. Continue at nine tomorrow morning?”
Once the other lawyer agrees, Lucien gathers up his papers and files, shoving them all into his portfolio and standing up from the table. He meets Vassa at the door, and she hands over his work briefcase, both of them rushing toward the front doors of the office.
“I can’t believe after all that you still want to get married,” Vassa comments, her eyes flickering back toward the door and the voices still carrying from within the room.
“It’s different with me and Nesta,” Lucien tells her, taking his jacket next and tugging it on. “We understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We know we’re building something strong.”
Vassa snorts amusedly. “Are you proposing marriage or a business deal?”
“Yeah, sure. Laugh it up,” Lucien remarks dryly with a roll of his eyes. “But when our marriage is a success because there's no unrealistic expectations, you'll be jealous.”
“You’re just such a romantic,” Vassa quips back sarcastically as Lucien pushes through the glass doors that lead to and from the firm.
“Of course I am.”
~ * * * ~
Thankfully, Willow isn’t the last child still in the aftercare program when Lucien arrives at the school. She smiles widely when she spots him walking through the doors, quickly grabbing her backpack while he signs her out. He hears the jingle of the keychains she keeps on her backpack before a weight crashes into his legs, little hands curling around his knees, and Lucien has to bite back his own smile.
“Daddy. Daddy. Look what I drew today,” Willow tells him excitedly, and Lucien looks down to see her holding up a picture of her in a bright pink princess dress.
“That’s beautiful, but it’s been raining outside, so let’s put this away for now until we get home, okay?”
Willow nods her head and spins around, so Lucien plucks the paper from between her fingers, kneeling down so he can unzip her backpack and tuck the drawing inside. She grabs his hand in hers when he’s finished, and then they’re heading out of the school and toward his car. He helps buckle Willow into her seat before sliding into the driver’s seat, following the familiar roads that will lead them back home.
“So, other than your princess drawing, how was school today?” Lucien asks, glancing back toward Willow in the rearview mirror.
“It was good,” Willow tells him, her eyes glued out the window and the buildings passing them by.
“Tomorrow, Nesta is going to pick you up and take you to school, okay? The two of you can have some grown up girl bonding time.”
Willow frowns at that, tilting her head in an adorable show of confusion. “But I’m only six.”
“I know, but…” Lucien pauses, taking a moment to swallow hard and tighten his grip on the steering wheel. He still hasn't quite figured out the perfect way to tell her yet, the timing never quite right, but now he's running out of time. Perhaps a band-aid approach is the way to go. “But I’m going to ask Nesta to marry me.”
“What?” Willow asks, her voice filled with shock.
“You like her, don’t you?” Lucien continues, pulling the car to a stop at a redlight and keeping his attention on Willow’s reflection in the rearview mirror. “We all get along, and I—”
“Daddy, look! There’s a princess!”
Lucien frowns at being cut off so abruptly, but he turns his head out the window to see what snagged Willow’s attention. He spots a billboard all lit up with a castle on it, big block letters promoting the local casino. And standing in front of the castle is some sort of animatronic princess in a large, puffy, white dress.
“It’s a real princess,” Willow continues excitedly, and before Lucien can correct her, she’s unbuckling herself and flinging the car door open to clamber right out into the street.
“Willow!” Lucien exclaims, throwing the car into park and wrenching his own door open to chase her down. He catches her around the shoulders, pulling her back against him and to a stop. “Don’t ever do that again.”
“But Daddy look,” Willow argues, pointing up toward the billboard.
With a barely contained sigh, Lucien looks back up toward the billboard, but he has to blink a few times to make sure his eyes aren’t deceiving him. Because there’s simply no way. It’s no animatronic on that billboard, but an actual woman. Her honeyed curls are wet from the rain where they’re piled atop her head in some sort of elaborate updo, and the large hoop skirt of her dress seems to sway with her movements.
“Hello?” the woman’s voice floats down to him. “Won’t you please let me in. Do you know Cassian?”
“Hey, miss,” Lucien shouts up to her. “Are you alright?”
At the sound of his voice, the woman turns around. “Oh, hello, I was just wondering if—”
Before the woman can finish speaking, she loses her footing, wobbling dangerously on the small platform in front of the billboard. In an instant, Lucien rushes forward, holding his arms out like that’s somehow going to help. The woman continues to teeter, the weight of her hoop skirt clearly not helping, before she goes tumbling over the edge with a shout. Lucien’s heart lurches suddenly at the sight of her falling, but luckily, the woman’s hands grab onto the edge.
“Just hang on,” Lucien calls out, eyes darting around for anything that might help.
He spots the ladder that leads up to the billboard, and his attention dances back to the woman, trying to gauge how much time he has to climb up and get to her, but the answer is clearly no time at all. Already, he can see the woman’s grip beginning to slip, the metal platform of the billboard slick from the rain. She’s going to go plummeting to the ground, and Lucien has seconds to try and figure out what he’s going to do.
“Catch her, Daddy!” Willow cries out from behind him, just as the woman finally loses her hold.
Lucien keeps his eyes pinned on the falling woman, rushing to make sure he’s standing just beneath her, his arms outstretched and ready. He gets a mouthful of white, frilly fabric, and then they’re both crashing into the ground. Lucien winces at the pain that flares across his arms, in his knees from where they collided with the pavement, and he splutters around the dress as he shifts until he can finally take in the woman’s face.
He’s greeted by warm, wide brown eyes blinking up at him. Those honeyed curls are a bit of a mess around her face, but her expression is still all soft, pretty angles, a dusting of freckles littered across the apples of her cheeks.
“Thank you,” the woman tells him, offering a kind smile.
“Yeah, sure,” Lucien dismisses with a shrug, clambering back to his feet and helping the woman to hers. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, I’m fine.”
“Do you need me to call someone for you?”
The woman frowns in confusion at that, tilting her head and sending more hair cascading down her shoulder. “I don’t think they’d hear you from here.”
Lucien blinks a few times. “What?” Before he can finish with that line of questioning, a loud clap of thunder echoes overhead, promising another lashing of rain. “Listen… I’m sorry. What did you say your name was?”
“Elain.”
“Listen, Elain. We live just around the corner. You can come inside and dry off and then I can order you a car to take you wherever it is you’re trying to go, okay?”
“That’s so very kind of you. Thank you.”
With a nod, Lucien ushers both Elain and Willow back toward the car, making sure his daughter is buckled back in before returning to the driver’s seat. He takes a deep breath as he throws the car back into drive, daring to glance toward the backseat through the rearview mirror. He’s sure this is the craziest—definitely the stupidest—thing he’s ever done. It’s not like him to go around helping strangers, especially in the city, but there’s just something about this Elain. Something in those glittering brown eyes. He just hopes it's a decision he doesn't come to regret.
And besides, he’s only helping to call her a car anyways.
“And what is your name?” Elain asks, her attention entirely on Willow.
“Willow Vanserra. And Daddy’s name is Lucien. Are you a real princess?”
“Not yet, but I will be once I marry Prince Cassian. Today was actually meant to be our wedding day.”
Willow gasps at that, leaning in closer. “What happened?”
“Well, there was this old woman, and she brought me to a wishing well, and I must have looked too far because I fell and fell and then I ended up here.”
“Is that a habit of yours, then?” Lucien teases, pulling into their assigned spot in the parking garage of their building. “Falling off things?”
“Usually, someone catches me,” Elain informs her, her voice almost haughty, as she gets out of the car.
The change in tone takes Lucien by such surprise that he has to press his lips together firmly to bite back a smile. He goes around to the other side of the car, helping Willow out and taking her hand in his, leading all three of them inside and up to their floor.
“But it’s no matter,” Elain continues as they walk down the hallway of their floor. “Because I’m sure that Cassian is already looking for me to take me away from this awful land. And when he finds me, we will finally be wed and share in true love’s kiss.”
Lucien can’t stop the amused snort that tears free. “True love’s kiss?”
“It’s the most powerful thing in the world.”
“Sure it is,” Lucien mutters, unlocking their apartment door and ushering everyone inside. He walks over to their linen closet, grabbing a fresh towel and holding it out toward Elain. “You can dry off, and I’ll call you a car, okay?”
Elain takes the towel with a quiet thanks, using it to press the water from her hair, so Lucien heads for his office. He roots around the papers in his desk drawer until he finds the business card he’s looking for. Diggin his phone out of his pocket, he starts to type in the phone number.
“Daddy, she’s really sleepy,” Willow says, stepping into the doorway to his office.
“What…” Lucien starts before he glances over Willow’s shoulder, noticing Elain now asleep on their sofa. “Oh, no. Absolutely not.”
Lucien rushes past Willow and back into the living room of their apartment, his frustration beginning to flare at the sleeping woman in their home. This is clearly what he gets for trying to do the right thing, for trying to help.
“But Daddy, you can’t make her leave now. She’s a real princess,” Willow argues, hot on his heels.
“She’s not a real princess,” Lucien informs her, trying to keep his voice calm. “Now, will you please go get ready for bed while I handle this?”
Willow lets out a long, withering sigh, but she stomps off toward her bedroom. Lucien waits until the door clicks shut behind her before turning his attention back to Elain. He finishes dialing the car service and tucks the phone against his shoulder while it rings, reaching out with his hand to try and rouse Elain gently. But instead, Elain merely snuffles quietly and curls deeper into herself as she continues to sleep.
Lucien hates how much that small gesture tugs at his heart strings. He hates how much this woman he’s known less than an hour is already having such an effect on him. He hates how something about her seems to spark deep within his soul, urging him to protect, to help, like some long forgotten ancient beast finally waking from slumber.
With a quiet, resigned huff, Lucien ends the call on his phone and grabs a blanket instead, carefully draping it over Elain’s frame. One night can’t hurt, and in the morning, he’ll get her where she needs to go, and that will be that. That will be the end of whatever this is, and he'll send Elain on her way, never to be seen again. He’s sure of it.

Pride Month 2024 Sonic Sketches
Second pic made in Procreate, kinda excited about it
Made a few sketches for pride month, kind of started out with a comic were Silver comes out to his mom as bisexual along with a pic of Blaze after telling her dad then decided to draw everyone at a pride parade & showing their pride
Everyone here is kind of based on my own ideas for the characters especially Mephiles since anything involving him has to do with the version I made for him for post-06 reboot. Also some stuff is in color(Blaze's forehead gem, Cosmo's necklace, Amy's headband, Sonic's hair clip, ghost aura stuff) cause it seemed fitting due to the meanings behind the colors on the pride flag.(Like purple for soul)
Middle row
Like the text says Blaze told her dad & he made her a frog hat to support her. He's a nice/friendly guy that cares a lot, it's unfortunate that Blaze's late mom was so terrible & left with Blaze for her own intentions.
Rouge & Knuckles at pride, I was a little worried about how well I got Rouge's bisexual flag makeup. I eventually fixed up the lipstick & added matching earrings. Knuckles unintentionally looks like a pirate cause I can't draw his hat at angles. So yeah my version of Knuckles & Rouge are bi, Knuckles use to date Sonic(in my ver) & Rouge has some interest in women in the past.(Especially Topaz at one point)
Here's Blaze & Silver, Silver has a bi flag cardigan. Pretty much at some point the two realized together they're bi. They eventually told their parents(well Blaze's mom is gone so she only told her dad) & they luckily have supportive families.
Surge isn't in my Lost Prince stuff but I thought she & Amy were cute together in the fanart people made. I also think Metal was interesting with Amy, at some point gets with her in the future in my Lost Prince AU. Metal at some point stops working for Eggman & tries to make their own identity after a talk with Sonic especially since they were becoming more sentient. Metal wasn't sure what he wanted but eventually figured things out.
Right row
The context of the sign is that this is meant to be Tails, Cosmo(revived as a plant/mobian chipmunk hybrid) & Cream when they're older & in their teens or later. The time skip is mostly cause at the moment Cream is pretty young in present day, Tails is too but he's slightly older. I guess you could say Tails & Cosmo had a puppy love or something then things got serious when they were older when Cosmo returned then later Cream joined them.
Cream is pretty accepting of who she's into, I dunno what Cosmo is into(I guess technically bi since she's dating Tails & later Cream when Cream joined the couple), Tails I think maybe straight but I dunno. At the very least Tails is supportive of his friends & brother.
Context for this is just I wanted to add Vanilla & her late spouse so them from the future. Added Vector cause him & Vanilla are kinda cute so he's her relationship from the future. So Vanilla's late partner is my OC Cake who despite willing to be called a dad by their kids(Cream & at some point Sonic cause I like the idea of the rabbits adopting him) & only them, Cake was nonbinary. The rabbit family is pretty accepting of people.
Decided to bring in Gadget & Zero/Infinite, the guy in the corner is Zero's late dad who I'll explain at a late point
And then there's these three. I'm not entirely sure what my thoughts on Shadow & Mephiles are, at some point I think I realized demisexual felt right for Shadow. Like I said before any of my thoughts on Mephiles are specifically for the version I made of him for post-reboot in Sonic 06. I was originally thinking of giving him the male gay pride flag but given what I've done with him in Lost Prince AU I kinda realized he fits in with demisexual too. While my version of Sonic identifies as male he likes dressing in whatever he wants & isn't exactly gender-conforming.
Sonic mostly dressed up for pride & tied a pride flag to his neck like a cape. For some reason Mephiles is the only one I tried making designs for on his outfit.
Here's a cropped version of the comic. Pretty much Silver & Blaze realized they were bisexual, at some point Silver got the courage to tell his mom & later his dads.*
For some context Silver's mom is male & in a relationship with men*, he's pretty accepting so Silver doesn't need to worry much. However his worries are understandable because of being around Blaze a lot & seeing how her mom treated her. Blaze's mom was strict & caused a lot of issues that Blaze is still recovering from. Blaze left with Silver & Venice at some point leading to meeting her dad & becoming estranged from her mom. Her mom is gone now but as said Blaze is still recovering. Silver's family(along with Blaze's dad) understand & reassure Silver, Venice & Blaze that the three are accepted/safe.
*I dunno if the marriage is legal at best I know Silver's dad & his mom's marriage is legal. Venice's(Venice is Silver's half brother) dad went missing for a few years(Eggman was behind it) & ended up joining the relationship after being rescued/talking things out. Venice's dad was able to be part of the wedding as another groom but I dunno if this counts as official/legal by human standards.(I guess technically official by Mobian standards)
Thought I'd make a version without the color for everyone to see. The text about the frog hat is missing because it was connected to the frame I made for the comic involving Silver & his mom.

My Kpop MCU DR💖🌠
Inspired by the lore in their MV's.
Stray Kids-
They are still a Kpop group, Bang Chan is still the leader because he brought them together but Changbin manifested them in that reality.
Felix accidently shifted there, and is now "stuck." Has powers of his own, like the blue flames.
Felix has a sword similar to Renji from Bleach. It can reach long distances & unleashes a blue flame. (I had a dream about it)
Felix controls his powers through his pulse. Is unknowingly part angel/demon.
Everyone thinks he created Stray Kids but it was actually Changbin.
Changbin also has lightning & god like powers which he can use on other groups like Itzy.
Changbin knows about parallel universes & alternate realities. They all do now but Binnie is the one who scripted Twice, Itzy & NMIXX's powers.
Changbin also has energy manipulation.
Han has telekinesis.
Seungmin can freeze & turn back time but not change it.
Lee Know can time travel & go to other planets & universes.
Hyunjin can shape shift (only into other humans) & has super speed (like his speed mirage)
I.N. can duplicate & clone himself. Is an alien as is Han.
Only Bang Chan knows. Bang Chan is also a Werewolf.
Dr Strange has helped Felix control his powers but keeps an eye on Lee & Changbin because of what they can do.
They all can teleport
My other dr self Lilianne, Deadpool & Wolverine are fans.
They can transform into their respective animals...👇
Felix- Yellow Bird (as well as mythical ones) 🐦🔥
Changbin- Pig & Warthog 🐽🐗
Han- Beaver, Chipmunk & Squirrel 🐿️🦫
Hyunjin- Ferret & any rodent 🐹🐁
Lee- Rabbit & Cat 🐈⬛🐇🐅
I.N.- Fox 🦊
Bang Chan- Wolf 🐺
Seungmin- Dog 🐶🐕
TxT
Together by Tomorrow is also in this DR. All the boys have super agility & know martial arts.
They are also descendants of Fallen Angels.
Yeonjun, the leader, can leap large distances, has solar powers & demon horns (Which he uses glamour to hide) Yeonjun's power color is blue.
Beomgyu has super strength, as well as can grow spikes along his body. Knows magic, is able to see & communicate with spirits. His color is green.
Soobin knows pyromancy. Has demonic features like large pointed ears, connected to The Fae. His color is red.
Taehyun has ice powers & demon eyes. His color is purple.
Kai has wings & can fly. Is most connected to their angel/demon/fae lives. Kai's color is yellow.
All of them time travel & portal jump. Thanks to Beomgyu's spell book. (Given to him by Hecate & Cernunnos) Dr Strange is watching them all closely.
My DR Self
Another version of me in my MCU dr is Michiru. I also have the same one (without abilities & in different relationships) in my other Kpop drs so I won't be explaining my background here other than I'm in NMIXX (replacing Sullyoon) and aware I shift.
I am the "Tech Girl" (Similar to Daisy Johnson aka Quake) and like I.N., knows what is going on in that universe. Especially with the clones and androids.
I have an app that can control or stop them.
Friends with Itzy & Twice.
All of NMIXX can traverse realms & are aware of shifting.
Came from the same post apocalyptic world as Stray Kids & Ateez (But Ateez, despite being space pirates, did not shift to the MCU)
I can also see spirits & through realms. I use music to concentrate.
I am in a relationship with Yeonjun & Bang Chan. (Possibly other members as well)
Polyamoures.
I have mini shifted a bunch of times and had a couple ungrounded shifts as well, that I will talk about in another post!

The Strange Neighbors: Kanetsugu (Kanetsugu X Reader)
(A/N): Another experimental piece since it’s been in revisions hell far too long for my liking. Enjoy!
Prologue:
The aspiring fashion designer who just moved into town was having a really rough time. Firstly, her brand was getting little to no recognition, and secondly, she was in a new area all by her lonesome for work. She just got here and she already felt so terribly alone: How was she going to make friends here?
After finally putting away the very last box of her stuff, she was exhausted, and decided to take a breather outside in her backyard. It was a nice, warm day, and the refreshing breeze would be just what the poor woman needed after having to put so much stuff away. Moving was never easy, especially with no companions in an area that was foreign for the time being.
She needed to keep her head up. This was a fresh new start for her, and she was surely going to find friends here.
However, the friends she expected to meet were not what she exactly had in mind…
When the tired fashion designer was enjoying the fresh air in her backyard, having lounged in her chair, she noticed something… peculiar in the bushes.
At first she had mistaken it for a chipmunk, but when she stared at it for a bit longer, she noticed that it was a hamster.
“What in the?…” She questioned, going to slowly get up from her chair to inch closer to the rodent. What was a hamster doing by its lonesome? Was it some kid’s pet that got loose?
Upon her getting closer, the hamster, which was silver with wisteria eyes, seemed to glare at her, letting out an aggressive sounding chitter, as it hid itself deeper within the foliage.
“Hey, come back! You shouldn’t be out here, little guy!” She called out to the creature, only for it to pop up from some leaves to stare at her, still holding that narrowed gaze on her. What was this hamster’s problem? She never knew a hamster could have such an attitude problem!
“I don’t know why you seem so feisty, but I can help you!” She told the hamster.
Upon her words, the bushes seemed to rustle again, with the furball then bringing something to her attention, that made her gasp in shock.
It was a trap… And a very feisty blond rabbit was gnawing at the cage, letting out all sorts of angry sounding squeaks.
As crazy as it seemed, it looked to her as if this intelligent hamster was trying to free the rabbit.
“Your rodent friend is trapped… How awful…” She frowned, leaning down to note how the hamster tried to pry the cage open with its tiny hands.
“I got you, little fella.” She smiled softly at the two rodents, with ease opening up the cage for the rabbit, who dashed as quickly as lightning upon being freed, while the other hamster stood behind to stand up and look up at her, it’s harsh look seeming to soften from the kind gesture she just did. It chattered softly to her, before scurrying off into the foliage.
To say this event was very bizarre would be an understatement, but she knew by the look of those two animals that they were no ordinary rodents. They seemed… different from the usual variety.
Besides that very odd occurrence, she spent the rest of her day as usual, thinking up ideas to bring to life in her clothing.
The very next day, the fashion designer would be in the middle of snacking when her doorbell would ring.
“Hm? A moment!” She called out, in a hurry to chew and swallow her snack before she rushed to the door. She was not expecting company. Perhaps it was the mailman?…
When she answered her door, a tall, slender man was there, holding a parcel in his hands, his face as cool as a winter’s day. He looked like what the manifestation of the very season would look like, and look at her, getting distracted by this attractive stranger! He was here for a reason, and she was pretty sure it was not to woo her! Not that she was imagining him doing that!
“Greetings. I have heard you just moved in. I am Kanetsugu Naoe, and I am one of your neighbors.” He told her in a rather formal fashion, going to bow his head as he held out the parcel. “This is a welcome to the neighbor gift. Take it.” He told her, as the woman took the parcel with a bright smile. This was such a sweet gesture on the part of her new handsome neighbor.
She then mentally told herself off. It was just a friendly gesture from a neighbor! Nothing more, nothing less, the fashion designer told herself, not wanting to make this awkward.
“T-Thank you.” She smiled, going to introduce herself to Kanetsugu as she put the package aside for the moment.
“So you are a fashion designer? It is quite unusual for fashion designers to choose to live outside the big cities.” He noted, before the tall man let out a soft sigh. “I admit… Coming here was just a pretext to also thank you for saving Ke- the rabbit.” He told her in a softer voice, which definitely caught her attention. So he knew the feisty rabbit.
“Well, you’re welcome, though how did you know?” She asked him curiously, causing him to grit his teeth. “I saw it. That rabbit is a very important resident, so thank you.” He told her, bowing his head once again, before he was quickly walking away.
She couldn’t help but snicker. A rabbit, an important resident? That was awfully cute, although…
Something strange was going on, the fashion designer just knew it. Just like Kanetsugu, those rodents weren’t ordinary. They had colorations she has never seen before, and the hamster seemed to have understood every word she was telling it.
Either she has a gift she was not aware about, or something unexplained was going on…
The very next day, while making breakfast, the groggy woman spotted the hamster on her windowsill, seeming to be staring at her making breakfast, before it was staring at one particular thing.
“Hm? What is it?” She questioned, going to follow the periwinkled gaze of the rodent, before gasping as she saw she had the fire way too high for her breakfast! “U-Uh, this is unusual for me.” She stammered at the rodent, feeling embarrassed at this display as she went to turn the fire down, while the rodent shook its head softly, and squeezed through the little opening of the window, scurrying over to the kitchen.
“H-Hey, wait a minute! We are not exactly on roommate terms here! You are not supposed to be in here!” She started to panic a bit, while the rodent paid her no mind, and started to scurry into the sink… Before starting to clean her dirty dishes from yesterday.
Beyond amazed at the rodent’s intelligence, the woman merely watched the hamster, with meticulous little hands, clean her dishes, before using its furry body to push and pull them to the rack, before it looked up at her, and started to softly chatter.
It was like the hamster was scolding her for her lack of cleanliness.
“H-Hey, I had a long day yesterday!” She excused herself, which only made the hamster scold her more with soft chatters.
“Who is your owner, anyway? There is no way you are a wild hamster. I do not think wild hamsters are even a thing…” The lady looked on with suspicion, going to slowly place her hand over the hamster’s head, which made it stiffen. “Are you the neighbor’s?… Kanetsugu, was it?…” She hummed, as the hamster seemed to have completely froze up, as if trying not to draw anymore attention to itself.
It melted completely when feeling her soft hand starting to pet its fluffy head. Her touch was warm and comforting…
It almost felt wrong to enjoy being treated like this when this was a curse that happened to him… That happened to Kanetsugu every other day.
After enjoying her petting for a bit too long, he then suddenly darted back out the window, plopping his furball self through the small space and back into the foliage. The less she knew about him, in either form, the better they all would be.
The very next day, the fashion designer decided to take it upon herself to learn more about this strange neighborhood and their intelligent rodent problem. Kanetsugu claimed to have seen her free the rabbit, which meant that his property had to be within eyesight of it, and there was only one house that could have gotten such a good view of the event.
From the welcome gift that Kanetsugu gave her, which consisted of some decorations for her house as well as some books for light reading, there was his business card with his number. Curious, she decided to give him a ring, wondering if he would pick up. She had a few questions to ask him, so if it was possible, she was thinking of setting up some time where they can just have a nice, neighborly conversation about the rodents. After all, one of them was an important resident, according to him.
“Kanetsugu Naoe at your service. What do you need?” He immediately answered, which made her squeak neevously. Maybe this was better planned out in her head than in actual execution, like a lot of her fashion pieces… She was going through a dry spell, and this happened to every artist!
“Hello?” Kanetsugu answered again, which made her clear her throat as she tried again to answer him back. “Y-Yes, it’s me, your new neighbor. If you have time, I’d like to talk with you about… the hamster and the rabbit.” She told him in almost a whisper, her nerves now getting to her. Yes, this was way better planned out in her head.
After a pause, Kanetsugu finally responded back to her. “Alright. You can come over after I am done here. My house is the one right next door, the one with the lamp.” He told her, before continuing. “Is there anything else that you need?” He asked.
“No, that’s all. Bye!” She answered, before promptly hanging up. That took far more courage than she had anticipated… And the plan was slightly flipped now. Instead of him coming to her house, she was coming to his!
She had to remind herself that they would just be having a casually conversation. It wasn’t like he was going to flirt with her or anything, he didn’t seem like the type to do that.
Later on, the two met on Kanetsugu’s porch to discuss the rodents.
“So, you told me that the rabbit was an important resident…” The fashion designer began, to which Kanetsugu nodded. “He is. That rabbit is… he belongs to my boss.” Kanetsugu told her, seeming to be very careful with how he tells her this.
After all, if someone else outside of his personal circle found out about the curse that affected all of them, Kenshin had made it clear that he would kill them, no questions asked.
“I see… And the hamster?“ She questioned, to which he stiffened with a grimace. “He’s… mine. He likes to hide around a lot, so you probably wouldn’t see him much.” He told her, to which she looked at him with a smile.
“So, you taught your hamster how to clean dishes? You must be quite the owner.” She giggled softly, which made him frown. “Cleanliness is the next thing to godliness. Of course my hamster knows how to maintain his hygiene.”
“But I never knew hamsters were capable of so much.” She grinned, before another question appeared in her head.
“When I first saw your hamster, he was trying to help your boss’ rabbit out of a cage. Do we have hunters around here?“ She asked, to which Kanetsugu scoffed. “You could say that…” He murmured, not meeting her in the eyes.
“Hunters”, or rather their mutual friend, Sasuke, who set out a whole course for Kenshin to keep fit with since the man loved to train. On that particular day, Kenshin missed the hidden trap, and got caught in it. She just so happened to catch them at the wrong time.
Now that she was well aware of the hamster’s existence, he thought he might as well get her used to his presence.
There was nothing more to it than that.

How did you come up with the idea of the puppets and why did you make the ones that you did?
The general how of the idea is I had made my persona and then wanted to give it some friends and it spiralled from there.
As for the specifics, this was late 2021 when my fox hyperfixation was at a peak so I made Sweetie first. She was always meant to be the smallest and I'm glad that part in my story planning hasn't changed. I love my tiny girl ^^
Zero was kind of the most random, just wanting to draw a rabbit and then they came from that. Despite that, they've always been one of my favourites to draw!!
The story behind Yay-Yay has been told time and time again but they're based off of my cousin's old toy chipmunk who was very very floppy. I used that to make them have personality.
And then Ren. Ren was a last minute addition to the group, having asked a friend for an animal for it to be. And the little pig guy we know and love was the absolute perfect choice tbh. I adore drawing him sm, I love the overalls and the pink and yellow look of him.
So yeah mostly they were random and meant to be friends for my now-persona, but they have so much more life than they were ever supposed to and I love that for them <3

I’m on a roll this week
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The slumber party was loud. There was blaring pop music as well as the other girls speaking amongst each other. Flaky couldn’t help but feel outcased for some reason. They were quiet until Giggles looked up at Flaky and took a long sip so her soda. “So, Flaky,” the chipmunk speaks up “what are you up to nowadays? You seem so robotic when you’re not around your friends.” Flaky’s eyes widen. ‘Robotic?’ Flaky thought to themself. “I’ve been busy, that’s all.”
“Busy with what?” Lammy asked innocently. Flaky didn’t expect them to be in his business like this. “Hm, it’s personal, I can’t tell you all.” Petunia frowns and attempts to scoot her hand closer to Flaky’s. Flaky, not knowing, moves their hand away to get some candy. “Um, Flaky? Are you going on that trip to tree town?” The skunk asked curiously. This question seemed to get all the girl’s’ attention. “Yeah, of course I’m going. I have to make sure Cuddles and Toothy stay out of trouble.”
Giggles crossed her legs as she sat on the bed. She rolls her eyes at the mention of Cuddles and Toothy. “Why do you hang out with them? You’re like, more mature than them both. I’d say Toothy maybe matches your energy but he also does dumb things. You should really hang with us instead.” Flaky sighs and shrugs. “They just understand me.” Flaky smiles when talking about their partners in crime. “We can do anything with each other and feel like god while doing so. No matter what, I know they have my back.” The room was quiet with the loud music filling the empty noise.
Flaky starts to chuckle at some memories of their friends. “I just know Mr. Disco hates them both but it’s fun to have them around, they’re like family to me…” they trail off as they speak. Petunia can’t help but smile at Flaky’s voice. They can listen to them speak all day if they could. “So, about the Tiger Town trip, so you have a partner yet?” Petunia asks. “Giggles is going with Lammy and I’m assuming that Cuddles is taking Toothy.” Flaky raises their eyebrow in curiousity. The way Flaky looks at Petunia makes her stutter a bit. “And I was wondering if you’d like to be my partner in the buddy system.”
Flaky shrugs and takes another long swig of their soda. “Sure, I don’t see why not.” Petunia smiles widely and hugs them. She immediately backed away when Flaky’s quils pierced her skin from Flaky’s shock.
“Shit!” Flaky cursed with some nervousness in their voice. “Fuck, I’m sorry I didn’t know you were gonna do that!” Flaky began to try and remove the quills from her hair. They knew she didn’t being messy. Petunia, however, didn’t mind being a bit messy for once if it was because of Flaky.
————
The kids in the bus talked amongst each other. Flaky sat next to Cuddles and Toothy. “Alright gang, what’s the plan?” Toothy asks eagerly. “The plan,” Cuddles smirks and crosses his arms. “There is no plan! we just go in raw!” Toothy looked at Cuddles unamused and sighed to himself. The porcupine looked out the window then quickly remembered the idol they had found. “Hey, gang. Lookit.” Flaky pulled out the Idol doll from their bag. Cuddles didn’t hesitate in taking it and snatched it up quickly. “Gimme that!” The rabbit was shocked when he almost dropped the idol from how heavy it was. “Jesus! How heavy is this damn thing?” Toothy can’t help but giggle at Cuddles’ ‘bravery.’
“Where’d you find this anyway?” Cuddles asks. “Hm, that’s the thing. I don’t know. It found me, yknow?”
Toothy put the idol back in Flaky’s “let’s put it back for now. It could come into some use later.” Cuddles nods. “Plus, we can figure it out later!” The group of teenagers walk into the hotel and check in.
“Everyone get into their partners!” The admin shouts to get their attention. As predicted, Toothy and Cuddles are together and so are Lammy and Giggles. They left Flaky with Petunia. “Isn’t this exciting, Flaky?” Petunia asked happily. Flaky wasn’t paying attention, all they could do was look at the Tiger military bases.
“Flaky?” Petunia asked with a bit of sadness in their voice. The porcupine quickly turned their attention to the skunk. “Huh? O-oh yeah. This is…exciting…” The two mammals walk to their hotel room. It’s a deep shade of blue with two beds. It had your typical suite items. “Wait! Before we do anything,” Petunia pulls out some cleaning supplies and a mask. “This place looks weird, we’re cleaning up.”
Flaky tilted their head.
“We-“
“We.”
Petunia says sternly as she tosses Flaky some cleaning supplies. “How strong is your immune system?” The skunk gave the closet a deep clean as she spoke. “Um…it’s alright I guess. I don't get sick a lot.”
Flaky thinks about how if they don’t clean, Petunia would most likely kick them out until she was done cleaning, which could take hours. They sighed and decided that since the weather was going to be cold, it would be very bad if they were stuck outside. They picked up a vacuum and cleaned the floor.
After about roughly an hour of cleaning, Petunia nods at Flaky. “We’re finished!” She happily plots on her bed. Flaky unpacks their bag and puts it in their drawers.
Brrrng
Brrrrng
Flaky looked at Petunia. “Go on now, pick it up.” Petunia suggested as she looked at the phone. Flaky was never the best at answering phone calls.
Click
“Hello?”
“This is the front desk, is this Flaky or Petunia?”
“This is Flaky, yes.”
“Great, we’ve called to ask what you two want for dinner.”
Flaky looked at Petunia. “Hmm…some tea and burgers!” The porcupine nods.
“Burgers and sweet tea.”
“Great. Any allergies?”
“Peanuts, that’s all”
The conversation goes on until Flaky eventually hangs up and lays down on the bed. Maybe it was the chemicals of the cleaning supplies but Flaky’s head was pounding.
Flaky…
Flaky…
That damn voice again.
Creating digital fan art has always been one of my favourite creative outlets, and today I’m excited to share a new piece from one of my all-time favourite cartoons: Butterbean’s Café. The series has a special place in my heart, not only because of its charming characters but also due to its positive messages about teamwork, creativity, and kindness. In my latest artwork, I decided to focus on Butterbean herself, the café’s owner and the fairy leader of the Bean Team.
As I sat down to work on this art, I reflected on why I love Butterbean’s Café so much. It’s a cartoon filled with life, magic, and food—a combination that’s comforting and inspiring. Butterbean, the protagonist, is a 12-year-old fairy chef with an unwavering passion for running her café alongside her friends. The show itself is a delightful mix of animated food, whimsical adventures, and a strong sense of community. It's set in the magical land of Puddlebrook, home to anthropomorphic chipmunks, rabbits, and other creatures who enjoy the delicious creations made by the Bean Team.
My fan art captures Butterbean at her best: mid-action, with her signature whisk in hand, ready to whip up something delicious. When I started sketching, I wanted to focus on her vibrant personality and appearance. Butterbean has a very distinct look that stands out, even in a world filled with fairies and talking animals. She has these big, bright blue eyes that seem to sparkle with enthusiasm, and her brown hair is styled so neatly, with a small braid on one side. Her fairy wings are truly something special—they resemble cookies covered in blue icing and sprinkles, a design that fits her role as a chef perfectly.
In the cartoon, Butterbean's style is a blend of practicality and whimsy. She wears a white chef's jacket adorned with pink details and bean-shaped buttons. The jacket's sleek design is balanced by the bright colours that represent her playful side. I spent a lot of time trying to replicate the tiny details on her outfit, like the pink bean-shaped pocket on her jacket and the cute, glittery bean symbols on her sleeves. Her skirt, a frilly yellow and white piece, adds a burst of colour and matches the general cheerful tone of the show. Underneath the jacket, she has a simple pink T-shirt with a white collar and more bean symbols—small touches that make her outfit unique to her character. I love how everything about Butterbean is themed around her café and the food she creates.
But beyond her appearance, Butterbean’s personality was what I wanted to highlight in my artwork. She's known as the “fairy best boss,” not just because she’s good at running a café, but because of her leadership style. She’s caring, encouraging, and never afraid to try something new, especially when it comes to creating recipes. Watching her work with her friends and little sister, Cricket, always brings a smile to my face. The show has this light-hearted feel to it, but the lessons it imparts are meaningful, particularly about teamwork and perseverance.
One of the reasons I was drawn to creating fan art of Butterbean this week was because I was thinking about how she never lets challenges bring her down. There’s a sense of optimism in every episode that makes the world of Butterbean’s Café feel so inviting. In my piece, I wanted to capture her mid-action, ready to take on a new recipe with her whisk—a magical item that she uses to create her wonderful dishes. Her whisk is also her fairy wand, which adds a bit of magic to her cooking, and it was such a fun detail to include in the art.
I worked hard to make her expression as lively as possible, as she’s a character who’s always smiling or laughing, radiating joy and energy. In my artwork, her brown hair frames her face perfectly, with the braid on the side adding a cute, detailed touch. Her hairstyle never changes throughout the series—it’s as if it’s as constant as her cheerful personality, smooth and shiny even after a long day of cooking. The bright colours I used for her outfit and background help to emphasize her vibrant personality, making her stand out in the artwork. The overall composition captures the essence of her character, bringing to life the joy and magic she exudes in every episode of the series.
While working on this piece, I couldn’t help but think of the episodes where Butterbean demonstrates her cooking skills. She’s always inventing new dishes, and they’re as creative and colourful as she is. Her food reflects the magic of her world. It’s not just food—it’s art, a way of bringing people together. And that’s something I tried to emulate with this fan art. Butterbean is the kind of character who, even at 12 years old, has the wisdom and compassion of someone far beyond her years. She’s patient, kind, and never gets angry, except in one memorable moment when she briefly gets mad at her sister Cricket for messing up a dress. But even then, her forgiveness came quickly, reminding us that mistakes are just a part of learning and growing.
Drawing Butterbean’s fairy wings was one of the most enjoyable parts of the process. Her wings are shaped like cookies, a brilliant design that ties her love of food to her very identity as a fairy. They’re topped with blue icing and colourful sprinkles, making them look good enough to eat! I wanted the wings to pop out in the artwork, so I used vibrant colours to highlight their playful, whimsical nature. The wings are an extension of her personality—sweet, magical, and full of life.
The background in my fan art mirrors the setting of Puddlebrook, the magical land where Butterbean and her friends live and work. I kept the background somewhat blurred to draw attention to Butterbean, but I added hints of the colourful and vibrant world she inhabits. In the series, Puddlebrook is filled with rolling green hills, bright flowers, and bustling creatures. It’s a place where adventure and magic are always just around the corner, and I wanted my art to reflect that same sense of wonder.
Butterbean isn’t alone in her café adventures. Along with her younger sister, Cricket, she has a team of friends who help run the café: Poppy, Dazzle, and Jasper. Together, they make the perfect team, each bringing their unique talents to the café. Butterbean, however, stands out as the leader, always guiding her friends and coming up with new ideas. She’s also the one who most embodies the spirit of the show—its heart. Through her leadership, she teaches the importance of creativity, collaboration, and kindness. In Butterbean’s Café, food is a way of bringing people together, and Butterbean’s role as chef and leader showcases that beautifully.
Working on this fan art gave me a deeper appreciation for the character of Butterbean and what she represents. She’s more than just a fairy who runs a café—she’s a symbol of positivity and resilience. Even when things don’t go as planned, Butterbean always finds a way to solve problems, whether it's coming up with a new recipe or helping a friend in need. That’s why Butterbean’s Café resonates with so many viewers, young and old alike. It’s not just about food or fairies; it’s about the values of friendship, creativity, and kindness.
Creating this fan art was not only a way for me to pay tribute to a character I admire but also a chance to reflect on the joy that shows like Butterbean’s Café bring into the world. As I look at the finished piece, I’m reminded of how art, whether it’s digital fan art or a magical dish made by a fairy chef, has the power to bring people together and make the world a little brighter. It serves as a reminder of the positive impact that wholesome and heart-warming content can have on individuals, sparking creativity and spreading happiness. The vibrant colours and playful themes in Butterbean's Café fan art capture the essence of what makes the show so beloved by its audience.
In conclusion, this artwork of Butterbean is a celebration of her spirit—the joy she brings to her friends, her café, and her fans. Every detail, from her cookie-shaped wings to her bright blue eyes, represents the creativity and magic of her character. As a fairy chef, Butterbean is always thinking of others, and through this artwork, I hope to share some of the same positivity and light that she spreads in her world. For me, Butterbean is more than just a character in a cartoon; she’s a reminder of the power of kindness, teamwork, and the joy that comes from sharing what you love with others.
SLEEPING BEAUTY
LIVING BEAUTY
Long ago in France there lived a King and Queen. More than anything, they longed for a child. At last, to their great happiness, the Queen gave birth to a little girl. All the bells in the land were rung with joy.
The king and Queen invited all the fairies in the kingdom to the Naming Party for the baby. And what a party it was! Plates and silverware of pure gold were set with care before each guest. But one fairy, Maleficent, who had left 50 years before and had not been seen in all that time, showed up at the door. Quickly the King and Queen found a place setting for the new guest. But alas, the plate and the silverware were not of pure gold. This made the old fairy very angry. Soon it was time for each Fairy to give her blessing to the baby. When it came to Maleficent’s turn, she stood up and pointed her long finger at the sleeping baby girl in the cradle.“I declare, before all of you,” Maleficent called out, “that this child, on her 16th birthday, shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, and die!”
With a woosh of smoke, the evil fairy vanished. Everyone cried out with alarm, as you can imagine. But one fairy had not yet given her blessing. The King and Queen asked this fairy, whose name was Merryweather, to reverse the curse. Merryweather shook her head sadly,and said that was not possible. But she could soften the curse. “On her 16th birthday,” she said, “when the princess pricks her finger on the spinning wheel, instead of dying she will fall asleep for 100 years.” “One hundred years!” said the Queen. “After our daughter turns 16, we will not know her anymore!”The King ordered every spinning wheel in the kingdom to be brought to the palace and burned. To be extra sure the princess would not be anywhere near a spinning wheel, he also ordered the fairy Merryweather, along with two other fairies, Flora and Fauna, to take the baby far away.
The faries would raise the child in a cottage, deep in the woods. There, they would keep her safe until after her 16th birthday. After that day it would be safe to bring back the princess, who had been named Aurora, to the castle. Aurora grew up knowing no others than the three fairies, whom she knew as her aunts. The animals of the forest were her friends.
The birds and the deer, the chipmunks and the rabbits, followed her around as she fed them treats and cooed to them.
From the time she was little, Aurora was told she must stay inside the hills that surrounded them. She did not mind that in the least. The woods were wide and deep inside the hills, and there was plenty of room for her to play. One day, Aurora came home to the cottage to find her three aunts preparing for a party. “What’s going on?” she said.
“Tonight we will celebrate your 16th birthday!” said Flora. “It is?” said Aurora. “That means tomorrow I go back to the castle!” “Yes!” said Merryweather. “We have kept you safe from that spinning wheel for 16 years. Soon it will be time for you to take up your royal life as a princess.” “And the first thing for you will be to get married,” said Fauna.
Married?, already?” said Aurora. “Do you know who I’m supposed to marry?”
“We do,” said Fauna with a wave of her hand, “but there’s no need to worry about that. Even if he’s a bit strange, some might say a bit horrid, you won’t have to spend much time with him, after all.” “And he does come from a fine family,” Flora added with a quick smile. “Wait a minute!” said Aurora, pulling back. “Why do you say he’s a bit horrid?”
“It’s best not focus on such things, dear,” said Merryweather.
“Just do everything your husband tells you to do,” said Flora, “and you will be fine.”
“This is not turning out like I thought!” cried Aurora. “How long do I have to stay married?”
“no,no. this is all wrong!” cried Aurora. She turned away, then said in a firm voice, “I would rather prick my finger on a spinning wheel and fall asleep for 100 years than have to marry someone I don't want to marry! Maybe by the time I wake up, people won’t have to get married if they don’t want to!” And she ran out the door.
Aurora ran away with her animal friends deep into the forest. Soon aurora came to a road. In the distance was a carriage, coming closer to her. As the rider approached, her animal friends scattered. “Hail!” said the stranger. “I’m afraid my carriage scared away your pets. May I give you a lift?”
This stranger was a very handsome man. She had never seen a man before. She felt a sort of connection with this man the second she laid eyes on him. They introduced themselves and Aurura explained her entire situation to him. This man was a prince of the neighbouring kingdom. His name was Charles. Charles then felt sorry that this spell was casted on Aurora.
He then told Aurora that they would together do whatever it takes to find a sorceress
Who could undo the spell casted by the Maleficent 16 years ago. They both had only a few hours left to find the sorceress before she turned 16. After visiting almost 6 castles, they couldn’t find any help.
On their way to their 6th castle, in the forest a path led her to a mystical glade bathed in the soft glow of moonlight. In the center stood a mysterious figure, cloaked in a shimmering veil of starlight. It was the guardian of the forest, a wise and ancient sorceress named Seraphina.
Seraphina sensed Aurora's inner turmoil and greeted her with a kind smile. "Child of the kingdom, your destiny need not be written in stone. The power to shape your own fate lies within you," she whispered. Aurora, intrigued by the prospect of taking control of her own life, sought after Seraphina for guidance. The wise sorceress revealed the existence of a long-forgotten spell, hidden deep within the heart of the forest. This spell, if cast with pure intent, could break the chains of fate that bound Aurora by Maleficent.
Determined to change her destiny, Aurora embarked on a quest alongside Charles. Together, they encountered trials and challenges, all while Aurora honed her innate magical abilities. As she grew stronger, so did her resolve to defy the expectations imposed upon her.The journey led Aurora to the mythical Spindle of Destiny, an ancient artifact that could rewrite the threads of fate. Guided by the whispers of the enchanted forest, she harnessed her newfound powers and cast a spell to reshape her destiny
Aurora hurried ecstatic back to her own kingdom, to tell her parents the news. That she overcame the spell of Maleficent. She also introduced Charles the handsome Prince to her parents saying this is the man who helped me, this is the man I want to marry. Her parents were thrilled upon hearing the news and forgot about the horid man she was supposed to get married to. They then declared a celebration for the entire kingdom that night at the castle. At the celebration, aurora shared her story with everyone. "I choose my own path," declared Aurora, breaking free from the predetermined curse. "I will not be confined by outdated traditions and forced unions. Love should be a choice, not an obligation." And so, in the heart of the enchanted forest, Aurora's story transformed into a timeless saga of courage, resilience, and the triumph of personal choice over the constraints of fate.
In my modified version of “sleeping beauty”, where Aurora doesn’t fall asleep for one hundred years and instead fights her way and confronts the imposed destiny that was laid on her, the reason I changed the story this was to emphasize the theme of determination and empowerment. I was inspired by the quote by Walter White from the show Breaking bad , “Never give up control, live life on your own terms”. This quote helped me think through and shape my alternate version of the Sleeping Beauty where Aurora could live a life on her own terms and not by the spell casted by Maleficent.
