#i want to know Yor's past so bad

This lovely art from @aerequets really aligned with one of my HCs about how Yor's past will be revealed to us:

The three of them unexpectedly meet at one mission. Maybe Twilight was trying to find information, Yor was doing her mission, and Yuri was suspecting something fishy at the SSS higher ups. Or something like that

After the first commotion, which somehow resolved quickly because the three of them coorperate, Yuri aim his gun towards Twilight, full with hatred because this man bertrayed his sister. Twilight was full with guilt. And Yor felt her world crumble because the two most important men in her world were not what she think they were.

Nevertheless, Yor tried to separate them. And yet both men were so stubborn.

They were so focused into their fight that they didn't realized reinforcement came, until Yor step up in front of them and was severely injured protecting them.

Both men finally direct their anger towards the reinforcement whose goals was to eliminate any eye witness.

Fierce battle ensues, but of course our heroes managed to survive (barely, in Yor's case).

Twilight and Yuri then cooperate and rush to help the most important woman in their life.

Twilight told Yuri to find transportation, while he tried his best to stop his wife's profuse bleeding.

Yor gently held his hand, and whispered, "Don't abandon Anya..." which Twilight's responded with, "No. I will never." And in his desperation he told her that he will finally took a holiday from his job, and they will go to the apple festival at neighbour town (or any other family activity), which Yor responded with, "I'd love that."

Twilight smiled and warned his wife to take a deep breath cause his next action would hurt like hell.

And indeed it was.

The bleeding slowed down but enduring the pain was too much for weakened Yor and she passed out.

Twilight bit his lips to stop himself from crying, when he hugged and covered his wife with his jacket, whispering, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry....I'm sorry...."

Yuri came with functional vehicle and all of them rushed to medical facility.

At the hospital / hidden medical facility (maybe WISE's), Twilight was sitting, waiting with 'dead look' on his face. (For once he cannot do anything. For once all he can do was sit and wait.)

Yuri shoved a cup of hot coffee in front of his face, and said "My sister is strong. She managed to survive injury this severe back then, of course she will survive again this time."

Twilight was shocked to hear that. And we get a bit of Yor's flashback via Yuri's POV.

Little Yuri was sitting at the side of his sister's hospital bed. At that time he was told that Yor got an accident during her job/being mugged etc. And little Yuri cried his tears of joy when Yor finally opened her eyes. He took care of her. And after she finally able to stand back on her feet, Yuri studied extra hard, and got accepted at the Uni at 14 y.o.

Twilight was surprised to hear the story.

The doctor came out and tell the men that Yor has survived her surgery, and will be closely monitored at the ICU.

Just when Twilight want to see her, Handler came and asked him to finish the interrupted mission. So he went with several WISE agents.

He succeed in finishing the mission, and returned to the hospital.

Upon entering Yor's room, he saw Yuri snoring at the sofa. Anya curled at Yor's side. And his wife was sleeping with so many monitor cables, IV lines, oxygen mask attached to her.

He carefully held her hand and whispered, "Yor, please come back to us. To me."

Yor was dreaming about her past. When she was living happily during childhood, Yuri's birth, her parent's death. Her survival during her first years after her parent's death. Her meeting Garden. Her harsh training. Her first kill. (All of these will make our heart shatters without a doubt 😭💔💔)

And during her harshest days, she will always remembered her father's words, "Remember the warmth of your family. Your home."

Her father's words still echoing when Yor finally opened her eyes.

She looked around and deduced that apparently she was still alive. Especially since she can feel the warmth around her.

At the sofa, Yuri was sleeping soundly. Curled right next to her was Anya. And the one holding her hand was her husband.

She smiled, and with all the power she had at the time, she carressed her husband's hand with her thumb.

Loid jolted awake. And in his disoriented state, his eyes widen, and come close to his wife, whispered, "Yor?"

Yor rasped, "I'm..... home...."

Loid cried out of happines, and kissed her saying, "Welcome home." (And we will be bawling hard over this panel for sure 😭😭😭😭)

Do you know that kind of people who...

...ask newly married couples: "When are you having a baby?" Or if you already have a kid, "when are you having a second one?"

The kind of people that say: "You should kiss your wife more! I never see you two kiss. I kiss my wife all the time!"

You know...the kind of people who would make a fake marriage nervous 😏 ...

Somehow Anya's grandparents make me think of these kind of people.

But only time will tell...

I'm so happy Anya has more people to support her and protect her. She's slowly getting a whole family! She has a mom and dad, a pup, two uncles, one godmother (Handler) and now grandparents. Good for her! (Maybe a baby brother or sister one day? 👶)

So about the Authens...

They seem to be the real deal; meaning not spies, but a real couple, who have gone through tick and thin together. My view is that in this SxF universe, the Authens may represent the truth.

And what does truth do to lies? It exposes it!

It's not a coincidence that the Authens are an old couple. It makes sense: they have seen a great deal, they know the world, they have experienced it, so they also probably know a lot.

The fact that Mr. Authen has memory problems is typical of someone his age, but it's also a metaphor of the truth: With time (age) it gets murky, truth starts to be forgotten, humans get a "bad memory" of past events and are doomed to repeat them. Sounds familiar?

Now, going back to the dynamic of the Authens with our dear Forgers. My guess is that this elderly couple is going to see right through them. After living for so long, they probably know people do crazy things to stay safe from authoritarian regimes like the one Ostania is living in. That includes entering a fake marriage.

Nevertheless, just like they could probably figure out Loid and Yor are a fake couple, they will also see that the love and care between them is real. Hence all the uncomfortable questions that could or could not happen.

It's all part of exposing the truth and the truth is that even though those two are not together for real (for now) they do love each other.

I can't wait to see Twilight and Yor getting extremely uncomfortable!

Also, since neither Twilight nor Yor grew up in a family with a healthy marriage (we don't know anything about Yor's parents and Twilight's parents didn't get along), the Authens can be that example for them.

It'll be nice for them to know what a good marriage looks like, how nice is to have someone who supports you, loves you and is with you through thick and thin. And this could be the way Mr. Authen pays back Yor and Anya: by helping them keep their family.

If we enter specifics (and since a public display of affection was shown in the last panel), Yor could see that physical affection is not something to feel embarrassed about, but something to cherish and to show love to her spouse. Twilight, on the other hand can learn it's okay to let your guard down with the person you love and that it's okay to lean on Yor. Look at all the Forgers already learning from this lovey dovey couple 😆

One more thing, SxF is full of foils and I believe this old couple is a foil of what Twilight and Yor could be in the future (if they do things right). After living a long life together, they still love each other. Wouldn't it be nice for them to see themselves reflected in the Authens? Wouldn't it be nice for them to start wanting exactly that?

After having a night to think about it, I don't like the direction this is going with Twilight being Melinda's therapist.

First because Twilight isn't a therapist. He's a spy. He's not trained in therapeutic techniques. I mean, even if he was, he shouldn't be handling the personal friend of his wife, that's a conflict of interest. But Twilight not only isn't a therapist, he has ulterior motives as an agent of WISE.

With his past therapy sessions, like with Anya's teacher, he could give advice with no ulterior motive because WISE didn't care if Anya's teacher has a happy marriage. But WISE has a very vested interest in Melinda and her marriage. How can Loid help her, if WISE is telling Twilight what he needs to do? What if Melinda tells Loid that she and her children are being abused, but WISE decides it's better to keep Melinda with Donovan as a source of information? What if WISE decides it's a better strategy to destabilize Melinda even further?

I think Loid and Sylvia would both want to help an abused mother, but I don't trust WISE's upper management. Melinda is basically a bomb that was dropped into their lap, only it's one that can be easily reprogrammed and lobbed right back into the lion's den.

This story is about war and people who do bad things that they think are right. Twilight having to grapple with seeing an abuse victim in front of him--someone who (just like his mother) is abused by her husband, someone who (JUST LIKE HIS MOTHER) has her own children she is trying to protect--and then being told that he has to manipulate her for his mission. No matter how WISE dresses it up, he will 100% be told to encourage her to stay with Donovan so they can get more info. There's no way they'd let him help her escape.

Twilight would come home to his wife and daughter and have to look Yor in the eye while knowing that her best (maybe only) friend--who Yor TRUSTED him with--is being used and manipulated by him. And even if Anya knows her Papa is a liar, if she peeks into his mind and sees him using a vulnerable Melinda for his organization's benefit... Just like Project Apple was doing to her.

I could see Yor forgiving Twilight for being an enemy spy if he manages to convince her that they're both working towards peace between the countries. But this would be a harder betrayal to swallow, post reveal.

HRGAH. I am gnawing at my arm like a wolf stuck in a bear trap.

I'm not that worried about Twilight not being a certified therapist because he has shown to actually understand his role, so he probably studied and is aware of what he can and cannot say, he might be even better than other therapists considering his observation skills.

Now the fact that Melinda might be used by WISE, now that worries me.

I feel this upcoming situation is gonna be a test of character for Twilight. He might be ordered to use Melinda to help further WISE plans to prevent war, but if he'll follow through is another thing. Hell, he might even help her and when WISE questions why he didn't manipulate her he can bullshit them about how she was too unstable and wouldn't be a trustworthy asset or how since she and Donovan don't even have a close relationship she can't provide anything useful for them. He is their best spy, they trust his judgment since he never put personal feelings before the mission so far.

I think we'll see what Twilight truly wants to fight for. It will be the same situation with Anya in the first chapter. Yeah he could've abandoned her when she got caught and went for another kid, it was the safest thing to do for the mission. But he didn't. Because he wants to protect others.

I trust him in that aspect. He has shown quite a lot of times he is not willing to hurt others for the sake of the mission. He didn't abandon Anya, he protected her from that professor who made her cry, when Donovan talked shit to Damian he subtly but decisively stood by Damian's side, and more recently, he didn't kill Yuri. Even though it was the safest course of action, even though nobody would ever know, he didn't do it.

Because it would make Yor sad.

Because he's here to save others, not hurt them.

So, I bet that he might start thinking about how he can use Melinda, but when he gets to know the state she's at, and how Yor wants to help her, he will come to his senses and do whatever he can for her.

Also, I don't think it is a conflict of interests because she's not family. She is his wife's friend, but since he himself is not her friend, he can still treat her, he just needs to keep both the professional as well as personal sides separated.

Oof, finals week is always a doozy :( you've got this bb, I'm hoping that you got wonderful scores!!

You've been studying for weeks. Hours upon hours spent poring over your notes and text books, making flashcards and begging Law to help you review them, make sure that your grasp of the content was solid.

Highlighter stained fingers and paragraph after paragraph ㅡ burning the midnight oil until you can't keep your eyes open any longer. Law helps where he can, both in studying (he even drags out some of his old notes) and in making sure that you don't turn this into a detriment to your health.

("I'm not just your boyfriend," he intones as he more or less pushes you towards the bed, "I'm also a doctor. And I don't want you to pass out, so bed. Now.")

And ultimately, you have a good feeling that all of your hardwork will pay off ㅡ you're a good student, you pay attention, you ask questions when you need to.

It feels like a slap to the face when your score doesn't reflect that. At first you think you've read it wrong, trace it with a finger and mouth it to yourself ㅡ and then disappointment slams into you like a lead weight.

With yourself, with the material, even your professor (who, oddly enough, is one of the sweeter people you've had for a class) ㅡ it isn't fair.

You tried. You tried so hard ㅡ and it still isn't enough.

Law's first warning that things aren't okay is the fact that you don't answer your cellphone when he tries to call and ask what you want for dinner. The second is that the lights are off in your shared apartment, something that never happens (both of you have odd sleep schedules even when things are normal and there is almost always a light on somewhere) ㅡ and that he can't find you.

Your shoes are at the door, jacket hung up, along with your keys ㅡ you're home, but where is the question.

With limited space, there is only a handful of places you can be and when he sees you're not in the room that doubles as both a study and his office, he checks the bedroom.

Yor back is to him and were it not for the tremble of your shoulders, he'd think you were asleep. But you're not, you're crying and his heart sinks.

"[Name]," he says as he approaches, coaxing you up and into his arms, "why are you crying?"

It takes a minute or two for you to answer, sniffling as you take a shuddering breath. "Got the results of the exam back."

Law frowns. "And?" He prompts gently, wiping at your face, tear tracks cooling on your skin. He watches you, the tremble of your lips as you tell him your score, and his frown deepens. "That isn't that bad," he says, "that's only a couple points off."

"But I studied my ass off, Law!" Frustration colors your tone. "I worked so hard to ace that exam and it doesn't feel like I did enough."

Law understands the need for perfection, for everything to have a place and for nothing to be subpar ㅡ but he also knows how detrimental that can be for both your self-esteem and your overall health.

"You didn't do anything wrong," Law says, cradling your face gently. "You're still on the higher end of score for that exam, [Name]. And you can always ask your professor where she docked points and why."

Law has a point, and you sniffle before you press into him, sighing as he rubs your back. "You're right. I'm sorry for crying, that's stupid."

"No, it isn't." Law chides gently. "But these past few weeks have been stressful for you. I brought home dinner, and I can start a bath for you after, if you'd like."

You press a soft kiss to his shoulder. "Can we cuddle after?"

"Of course."

You hum, letting yourself cling to your boyfriend a little longer. "Sounds perfect."

How ironic was it? You always thought that Minho was cold, not even having any emotions, and extremely grumpy. But after he brought you home, you wasn't sure anymore. Well, he could have just let you walk through the cold rain but he ran to you and helped you not getting completely soaked. He even gave you his jacket.

It seemed like he cared. He does have emotions but he just doesn't show them to everyone. And that made it even more precious to you that he showed you that side.

The next day after Minho had brought you to your home, you wanted to finish the project because you must present your results on monday. You contacted him via his number he gave you in the library. Since it was weekend, you two decided to meet at a local café in the afternoon and not in the college.

Honestly, you were a little bit nervous to meet him there. Would it look like a date? What should you wear?

An hour later, you arrived at the small café and saw Minho already sitting at a table. With a shy smile you approached him and sat in front of him. His facial expressions cold like always. Maybe you were wrong and he was indeed always closed off. But yesterday he was so caring for you. Maybe you just need to patient.

While Minho had his expression under control, in him was a storm. Since you walked in with that cute smile, his inner wolf acted crazy. It drove him insane. And gosh. You were so pretty in your common look, a sweater and black jeans.

His wolf wanted to appear on the surface and he did everything he could to stop him. Just this one meeting with you and then he could hold his distance again. Before he couldn't hold himself back to fall for you.

"Shall we start?" You said and he just nodded, opening his books.

After hours of silently working next to eachother, only talking a small amount, it was finally done. You just need to present it and then you were done.

Minho confused you.

During the whole time he was distant and only spoke when he must. But you saw that sometimes his eyes turned a little bit brighter and his expressions softened only to become cold once again. It seemed like he was in an inner conflict.

You packed everything back into your backpack and payed for your coffee that you drank during your time there. It was already dark outside, so you wanted to get home as soon as you could. You said goodbye to each other and started your walk home.

You were nearly home when you saw two men coming towards you. You held your head down and sped up. As you went past them, you could feel their eyes on you and one calls out to you. "Hey Sweetie, wanna join us?"

The other one laughs and yor breath hitches. You nearly ran away from them but you heard their fast footsteps behind you. "Why are you running away, darling? Don't you wanna have some fun?" They said and cornered you.

You tried to flee but there was no chance. You shook as you heard another person coming in your direction.

"Leave her alone." A low voice growled animalistic. Literally. Like a wolf or a dog. At first you didn't remember his voice. But as his face was lighted by the streetlight, you didn't believe your eyes. It was Minho.

His eyes seemed bright. The brown colour was now golden, you could swear. But maybe it was just the bad light and the fear to see things that aren't reality.

"Yeah? And what are you? Her saviour in shining armour?" One of these men joked and turned to you again. His smell reached your nose and you scrunched it because his breath smelled like alcohol.

"I said. Let her alone now" Minho snarled with a calm voice but there was definitely a threat behind it.

As the man wanted to touch your hair, Minho grabbed his hand at a unnatural pace and turned it hurtful. Minho punched him in the face and let him stumble backwards. Both men didn't risk anything and ran away staggering.

Immediately, Minho turned to you. A careful look on his face as he searched for any wounds. Just then your legs gave out and you sank together.

He was already by your side and let you bury your head against his chest while the tears wet his sweater. "It's okay, y/n. I'm here. I'll protect you" he mumbled.

Fortunately, he had found you. After leaving the café, his inner wolf was nervous. He didn't want to leave your side. It was hard to control it, especially when the full moon was this week and his wolf became stronger and stronger these days.

After five minutes, his wolf side went suddenly berserk. Without knowing he swirled around and ran in the direction where your apartment was.

As he saw you in that corner with these two idiots nearly all over you. Something in him switched. Maybe it was his mate bond but a possessiveness took over and the sudden urge to protect you.

He closed his arms around you and he layed his head on top of yours while instinctively rubbing his chin over it. Without even noticing, he scented you not only to leave his smell on you so that every other wolf knew that you belonged to him but also to calm himself and his inner wolf.

He wouldn't believe it but he heard his inner wolf purr at the physical touch with his mate. He never purred before.

After some time, you calmed down. "Come, Y/n. I bring you home" he said and helped you up. It was only a two minutes walk where both of you were silent. You still tried to process what just happened and Minho could literally see your thoughts swirling in your head. But he didn't say anything, not wanting to interrupt you.

In front of your door, he stopped. " Thanks Minho. You saved me from these guys. I owe you something" you said while your voice was still sore from all the crying. "It's alright Y/n. Rest well." He reassured and said goodbye.

Since that day, Minho was always on your mind. You wanted to thank him for saving you from these crazy boys. So, after a successful presentation, you asked him if you could buy him lunch this evening.

Minho didn't expect that. He still doesn't want you as a mate. That wouldn't change. Right? He tried to find a lame excuse but you managed to get him agreeing.

The rest of his day, he was nervous. Constantly thinking about your meal together after his last class at 4:30 pm.

You already waited for him outside the classroom, talking to a guy he often saw you with. And then it hit him. Maybe you had a boyfriend. That never came up to his mind. Was that your boyfriend?

But the more important question was: why didn't he like this thought of you being in love? He wasn't interested in you. Yeah, you were a simple friend, a normal classmate and nothing more. Even if you were his mate. He doesn't need you.

As you saw Minho walking towards you, you bid goodbye to the other boy and smiled at the wolf in front of you. "Your boyfriend?" He asked with knitted brows and cold expressions on his face. You snorted and your smile grew wider.

"No, ew. He is like a brother to me".

He exhaled the air he didn't notice he held. "Alright. What do you want to eat?"

He didn't need to think about that. There was that beautiful restaurant near the campus where the food was great. With his pack, he ate there every once in a while.

So, he guided you to that restaurant. During your walk, you didn't talk that much but it was a comfortable silence between you. You just enjoyed each others presence.

He held the door open for you and followed you to a table for two. He already knew what he wanted to eat, so he could admire his view. You being the view.

Your hair was messy like always after long classes but it was rather sweet. They looked just puffy and like they couldn't be tamed. Like you, he thought.

As the waiter took your orders, you two held an easy conversation and chatted about everything and anything. It was like Minho was the same man in the rain or on the street that evening. There was the loving and caring side of him but also the cold one where he would hide his emotions behind a facade. You liked both sides. Both of them belonged to him and made him so much more interesting and individual.

And you loved every smile that he gave you. When you told him something funny about your childhood, he giggled and you liked that sound. It made you fell safe. Like coming home. And that confused you. You barely knew him but it felt like you two have known each other for over a decade.

The dinner was perfect and he walked you home. You were still angry at him because he didn't let you pay for it. It should be a 'thank you' for him but instead he pulled his card out and gave it to the waiter before you even noticed that the waiter came to you. Of course you felt bad because you were supposed to pay for it.

But he was stubborn. Even after he paid, you wanted to give him the money he spend but he refused with a small smirk and you pouting.

You talked so much in that time and you only realised once more that you liked Minho. With every second he was with you, you admired him more and more. You didn't want to admit it but maybe, just maybe, you had a little crush on that sweet boy next to you.

The walk back to your apartment was short, to short for your liking and soon you two stood in front of your door. Nervous, you played with your fingers. You didn't know what to say. Should you invite him in? No, that was too much. You just kept looking at him and he kept looking at you.

His eyes wandered all around your face, once in a while stopping at your mouth but only for a second or two. Without even noticing he slowly leaned forward, hypnotized by how you wet your lips with your tongue.

Your eyes were on his perfect lips and you also reduced the small distance between you. Your breath hitched and you already felt his warm breath on your lips.

You overcame the last few centimetres that separated you from each other and crashed your lips against his. Slowly, you moved your lips in a rhythm and you slipped a hand into Minho's soft hair, pushing you two more together.

In that moment, Minho felt just joy and desire for you. You were just a girl and he a simple boy that fell for you. Without a mate bond and being a werewolf. Your smell was wrapped around him, making him wanting to smell nothing but you, just you. He leaned more into your passionate kiss, turning it into a heated one.

His inner wolf purred because he loved to be this intimate with his mate. It was like pure heaven.

But suddenly everything came back all at once. You weren't just a girl, no, you were his mate. The mate that he never wanted. He hated you. He was just attracted to you because of the mate bond. Yes, that was it. Nothing more.

He pulled back harshly, making you stumble before you catched yourself. You looked confused at the boy in front of you while you still tried to catch your breath. The loving expression was nowhere to be seen. Instead there was that cold one again. The walls that you started to torn down where already pulled up once more.

" Minho, is everything alright?" You asked with a thin voice. "Yeah, no. I-uhm. I will go home now" He said uninterested like you didn't kiss a few seconds ago. You already expected a rejection because of his facial expressions afterwards but really hearing it pained your heart.

Yet, he was nearly running away from you. "Minho!" You yelled and followed him. "I'm so sorry that I kissed you. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable around me."

He kept avoiding your gaze and just nodded before he continued to walk away, leaving you at your porch.

Fuck. He fucked up royally. He should have himself under control. That kiss was something that should not have happened. Now it will be even more difficult to ignore and avoid you. He opens the door to the pack house and slammed it shut behind him.

As he walked through the living room to walk up the stairs to his room, he was stopped by Han.

"And? How was your first date with Y/n?" Han asked as he wiggled with his eyebrows. "It wasn't a date, Han. She just thanked me for helping her"

"Definitely. Come on, did you kiss?"

"How comes that you even know about our meeting?" Minho snarled as he wanted to change the topic.

"Well, I saw you walking away with her. Like a lovesick puppy following his owner" Han answered, ignoring the annoyed tone of his best friend.

"I'm not a lovesick puppy!" Minho called out. He just felt emotionally drained and wanted nothing more than this day to be over.

"Yeah, anyway. Did you kiss?" His best friend asked once again. Apparently Minho found his fingers way more interesting than Han.

Immediately, Han knew what was going on. "You really kissed her! I'm so happy for you" He grinned widely but stopped as he saw his unhappy expressions.

"Minho, isn't that a good thing? Are you not happy?"

"No! Obliviously not! I don't like her. It's just because of the bond that I fell a pull towards her." The wolf shouted and sat on the couch, rubbing his eyes.

"Is that really the reason why you deny it? You think it's only the mate bond?"

"Of course it is!"

Han sighed and shook his head. His best friend can be so stubborn sometimes.

The following days, Minho avoided you. Wherever you are he would bring so much distance between you as possible. In class, he sat on the other corner of the room and as soon as the class was over, he stormed out without looking back.

It hurt you, definitely. Maybe you shouldn't have kissed him. It was a terrible idea. Maybe it was too soon for bringing this intimacy in your relationship. It definitely wasn't your intention to chase him away. It just felt right in that moment and now you couldn't believe how dumb you were. He just saw you as a friend and you interpreted it terribly wrong.You are ashamed from your own actions.

And the worst is that you don't know how you should interact with him now.

You just checked where your next class was, when you suddenly bumped into someone. You quickly apologised and collected the papers from the ground that must have fallen down.

"I'm so sorry. I-" you stopped mid sentence as you realised who you walked into.

You nodded and let go of his jacket. "I-uhm I need to go to my next class. So bye" you answered quickly and ran to the next classroom.

Minho just watched you leave. His inner wolf growled at him for ignoring his mate that way. But he couldn't care less. The less you were around him the better. The better he could force himself not to like you.

Weeks passed like that. Just small conversations here and there. You realised that you need to forget about your feelings for him. Shutting them out and throw away the key. In the meantime you met new friends in college.

Weeks ago you had met Wooyoung in the library. You will never forget how he just placed himself next to and gave you the biggest smile you had ever seen. He introduced himself as Wooyoung and immediately started talking about his homeworks. You just smiled while focusing back on your book. Since then, he literally followed you everywhere just like a sweet, but confident, puppy with so much energy. But you liked it.

One day, he introduced you to his friend group and now they seem to have adopted you. They were like one big family and chaotic as hell. You loved their silly nature.

Still, you spend the most time with Woo as he was like a best friend to you. At first, his love giving character scared you but you became used to the man that was literally glued to your hip.

Minho on the other hand didn't like your relationship with that boy. He and his friends were another bunch of werewolves and hated that Wooyoung was so clingy. Whenever Minho was in your near, your smell was almost completely suppressed by the other wolf's scent. It drove him insane.

His instincts nearly forced him to bring you closer to him, scent you and to mark you as his. But that would mean that he would accept you as mate.

After the mark, that would forever be on your skin, you two were bound together till death. It's like a marriage but it lasts for the eternity.

Right now, you sat on you favourite place in the library with Woo glued to your side while you studied for the upcoming exam. You just smiled as he cuddled closer to you, leaning his head on your should.

"What's up with that guy?" He said as he looked around. You looked up and Woo nodded to the left where Minho read calmly in a book.

"Oh, that's Lee Minho. You might know him. We have some classes together. Why?" You asked and turned your attention back to your work.

Woo moved closer to your ear. "Because he keeps staring at us. And doesn't look like he enjoyed his view." "Really?" You questioned and knitted your brows.

"Would looks kill then I will be six feet under right know. I think he is jealous" Woo stated and that confused you more.

"Why should he be jealous?" You spoke your thoughts out loud while glancing to the left.

"We'll see" Before you could ask what Wooyoung meant with that he placed his lips against your cheek and kissed it. Instantly, you turned red with wide eyes. But Woo just smirked and watched Minho's reaction.

Minho clenched his fists. It should be him next to you. Him. Not that puppy that touched something that isn't his. Minho swallowed a snarl and quickly packed all his things to sprint out of the library. His inner wolf was wild.

He couldn't spend any more seconds in that hell. He felt sick. Why did he push you away that night? Why? Just because he was afraid that you just loved him because of the bond? Yeah he was dump back then. But now Wooyoung replaced him, just because he neglected you. And the worst thing is that he couldn't blame you. He himself would have given up a long time ago.

"He definitely is jealous, sweetie." Woo stated with a smirk. "Yeah and extremely angry. I should look after him" You said and ran after him. "Go get him, sweetie!" Your best friend yelled and laughed. Instantly, he was scolded for being too loud.

You sprinted through the hallway and kept looking for the man you loved.

And there he was, walking with hastily steps to the entrance. "Minho!" You yelled and catched up to him. Your breath was uneven from not being used to running. Maybe you should go to the gym more. You placed your hand on his arm to get him to stop. His whole body was tense and in his eyes was that storm and fire but also hurt.

"Minho I-" Before you could even finish that sentence he cupped your cheeks with his warm hands and pressed his soft lips against yours. The kiss was hard and full of unspoken feelings. Your hands sneaked around his waist to pull him even closer.

After some time you broke your kiss to breath again. He layed his forehead against yours and looked you deep into the eyes while his brown hair tickled you.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry that I didn't realised it before" He whispered against your lips and caressed your skin with his thumbs.

"It's okay" You said and leaned in to get another kiss.

Something a bit more important than fandom, give it a read please. It is an issue that has been bothering me to the point of serious emotional distress for years.

Not related to ER but since I have hundreds of people following me here, I thought I'd share an article that is about the moral cost of cats in regards to birds. Much like other social media sites, tumblr also treats cats in a cult-like way, so I think reading something like this is essential for everyone. It is an excellently written article about a scientist and their fight against birds constantly going extinct BECAUSE of cats and irresponsible owners.

I am also sad about constantly seeing that every time someone brings this topic up, cat owners who can behave like they are part of a cult, immediately start acting vile and throwing death threats. So imagine thinking you, as a cat owner, are the victim when birds and small mammals are losing this fight every single day with a lot of species going extinct as we speak because of the very people who don't want to hear the truth. It baffles me that they say they like animals so much, especially cats, but at the same time, when other people who see the whole picture and are actually animal lovers who love more than just cats and dogs are suddenly their main enemies? How does that make sense? Once again I wish I could express myself better but English is not my mother tongue.

I can bring my own experience into this as well, I live in a country where cats outside are in such amounts that is is straight up just a pest issue - cats being the pests. I see how in the last 10 years, a booming blackbird population where I live went down to basically seeing one blackbird a year. I live next to a huge lake that is supposedly a national park type deal where birds are protected, and yet, on the street I live in that is right next to the lake, there are at least 3 outdoors cats per house, doing irreversible harm to the birds in the lake area. There is one person who owns 17 outdoors cats whose cats not only hunt for birds all day, but also baby chickens in neighbours' yards. When confronted, the owner said he doesn't care. Don't forget that cats kill for fun and sport! And there are no laws or anything to fight this, and I feel completely helpless because birds are essential.

I would make it mandatory for everyone to care for an injured bird that was hurt by a cat. And try to nurse them back to life, just to put things into perspective. I've been doing just that almost every summer in the past several years. It's heartbreaking. And I don't have options because the only bird hospital is across the country from where I live. So I have to rely on myself and the short training I had in bird emergency.

And knowing that a lot of cat (and dog) owning for the most part comes down to people being emotially stunted and refusing to see how harmful their pets are is just incredibly sad and also infuriating. Because that is the truth of it. The hypocrisy is wild. And it is a losing battle, especially since social media has been a thing for the past decade or so. It's much worse now. So if you like birds, please read the article. If you are a diehard cat owner who thinks everyone else is wrong, also read the article. Maybe you will see where the scientists and people who care for more animals than cats are coming from.

Also, I am really bad at confrontation and fights generally, so I will not tolerate any vile comment or addition on this post that will start to pick a fight. The energy you would use to fight me would have better use if use used it to keep yor outdoors cats inside. And maybe if it was used to actually help animals instead of hoarding them. This post for now is also for my followers only, so no reblogs. But even if 2 people read this post and the article, that's good news for me.

And also just to try to describe how I (and other people who love birds) feel: imagine this made-up scenario where the birds are the cats. You love cats more than anything, they have been going steadily extinct because of an animal that is a popular pet. You love cats but this other animal that is a popular pet is killing cats for fun. And the owners of this other popular pet think it is super cute how their pets are killing your favourite animals that are going extinct. And you can't bring up this topic ever, because the popular pet type that has been killing your fave animal is so so popular that people will gank you via comments and real life for it, no matter what. Now THAT is what fighting for birds and small mammals feels like when we try to bring this topic up with cat owners.

And if you unfollow me for this, good riddance. Just know that before you think you are the victim for people pointing out how harmful cats are, you are actively harming the environment and are responsible for birds and small mammals going extinct - because you are responsible for your cat. Cats by themselves wouldn't be an issue if it was a natural setting, without the human part, but it isn't. Humans are hoarding cats, so their ratio compared to birds is outlandishly big and unnatural. In no natural setting would cats be this rampant without the hoarding aspect. Humans hoarding cats and being irresponsible are the issue. And you can marinate in that after you unfollowed me.

For the rest of you who I reached with this post, thank you for reading. And I know this is not a fandom topic, but it is extremely important to me. And it should be extremely important to way more people. It is a global issue. It is always wild to see the lengths so called environmentalist go into to fight people about recycling and veganism, but hoarding killing machines somehow is acceptable to these very same people. Extend that cat (and dog) loving to other animals as well. Also, hoarding animals will not fix your emotional / psychological problems. It will only distract. There are less environmentally harmful ways for distraction.

I did read the recent SxF chapter, I’m glad it’s mention Yuri again but seems like the plot didn’t want to 🥲 but interesting it’s focus on studying motivation.

I don’t know if chapter 92 parallel to chapter 26 and 27. But the “study motivation” has been bringing up before. And Yuri has been trying to giving Anya study motivation (by explaining his past) from “knowledge is power” to “ knowledge is chihuahua”. And this parallel to grandpa want to earn more knowledge,too.

Chapter 26/27 is my most favorite because Anya could not used her mind reading power and was using her actual efforts to passed her test without cheating. Although she didn’t get high scores, but this is the small 1st step for her development.

Chapter 26 is the main reason I love Yuri character and actually change my mind about him. He has always introduced as antagonist before,but his study motivation is proving he’s not a bad person. Just sadly was brainwashed by government. ( I have been making a thread of why Yuri was brainwashed by government before )

And he did actually motivate Anya too.

However just like Loid,Yuri also doesn’t know to have fun as a kid. Yuri never playing’going out with kids in his ages and just focus on studying so that he would never waste Yor effort to raising him. And Loid has to face the “world” by preparing his knowledge after the trauma.

I think it will starting to center Anya origins soon so the grandparents characters will have some involved, especially the classic language. I’m sorry to keep rambling about Yuri but with lacking of his bonding chapter with Anya recently I just want to see him tutor her again🥲

Also want to point out that Yuri can actually read Anya handwritings since chapter 26 ( and it’s mention again in lightnovel) I don’t know it will be mentioned again in manga but I hope it can be an important part later 🤔

Spy X Family: Code White spoilers under the cut

I loved it when Loid walked past the two guys who kidnapped Anya and beat them up. He was on his way to her and they were going in the opposite direction, not standing in his way. He didn't need to do that. That was very much a father getting revenge for his daughter. That was very much an emotional choice he made in that moment. That was like Liam Neeson in Taken vibes. That was passionate anger for the wrongs that had been done to his daughter. That had nothing to do with furthering the "mission". When is he going to realize that this is his real family and he has real fatherly love for Anya?

Also the almost kiss in the ferris wheel and Yor slapping him out of the capsule!!!! They animated that so perfectly for it to be a shock slap! I thought they were going to kiss!!! And I thought I wanted that, but no. That was Loid acting sauve and smoothing things over as a spy for operation Strix. They need to kiss when it catches him off guard too. I feel like this will only happen when their true identities are revealed to each other and Loid realizes he doesn't want to lose her despite them being on opposite sides. It needs to be vulnerable, and it needs to happen when their identities are laid bare with each other. It needs to be a conscious choice outside of any mission.

Or idk I could be wrong bc a slow burn, as they're slowly falling into love, leading eventually to a kiss while still "acting" as a couple would be good too. Loid already does little things sometimes like small touches or acts of sweetness, and sometimes they're so out of the blue and not as an attempt to smooth anything over, so they might be sincere. If this is a progression where eventually Loid kisses her I would be fine with that too, but it has to be because he just wants to kiss her, not to smooth anything over or save the mission. Maybe he'll think it was to save the mission, but we know better.

AND ANYA'S POOP GOD VISION. Oh my gosh. I haven't laughed that hard in YEARS. My stomach hurt so bad and I couldn't breathe. Everyone else in the theater (only four other people but that's besides the point) were also laughing their heads off that whole time. It was the best. I also love how the poop god in her mind looks like Professor Henderson lol

Please may I have a Spy x family headcanons platonic of being the biological son of Yor Briar and his name is Yukio Briar and then Yukio Forger age 8..Yukio means "Snow boy" in Japanese and Yor was 18 when she realised that she was pregnant with her son when she lost her boyfriend in an accident. Yukio Briar is an assassin but he uses less bloody methods and one of them is poisoning his targets food by lacing it with a highly toxic chemical which has immediate effects or he kills them from afar with his guns or he does kill them with the same methods as his mother if neither of his other options work and his nickname is "the Poison Rose" by the "gardener". He joined the Eden academy in sake of helping Loid complete his mission and hopefully befriend Damian with no issues. He was certainly not a weak child and considering how he had hospitalised his uncle Yuri for several months after breaking his ribs and ruptured several of his internal organs and breaking both of his legs..it took a while for Yuri to recover.

Personality:

He always had top grades in every class as he did study properly and he can cook properly and does do better at it with no issues and no. He doesn't poison the family..only his targets. He is a good actor as he showed a innocent naivety and gullible facade when he ran into his targets so they didn't know his intentions and he does catch them off guard. He is greatly immune to poisons as he had eaten his mother's nasty cooking in the past and he had eaten so many that he didn't really care anymore. He is genuinely a nice kid and he is a lovely little boy with a kind-hearted nature and it is rare for him to actually shout or get angry as he is level-headed but once was frightening enough..when a mother loudly criticised his mother's parenting skills to her friends and he naturally lost his temper and stood up for his mother when he insulted this lady about her weight, her friends, her hair and her entire existence and the vicious insults and the colourful words kept on flowing and he could not stop himself and then he said "you are a mean lady if you think that insulting my mother boosts your ego..no wonder why your son wanted to live with his Dad instead!" Was his words..the lady actually got up crying and left. He can be scary when he was being intimidating and his scary assassin gaze matches his mother's. He did have poor art-skills as it was not his strong point and it looks like a toddler had done it and he was bad at it anyway or he had the ability to give people nightmares with his unsettling drawings. He was empathetic though in a way and he tried to help Anya with her homework to make it easier for her.

Skills:

He is highly intelligent and he had a 6th Sense when it comes to danger as he is a skillful fighter with the ability to fight with no issues..Loid even struggled to keep up. Yukio is capable of breaking bones and killing people if so inclined. He had inhuman strength in a way and considering how he is able to split a brick in half..don't pick a fight with him or play football with him. He is immune to poisons of different kinds and he is a good cook and he can frighten the absolute hell out of his targets when he says "wanna play?" Which was the exact opposite of his mother politely saying "can you do me the honour of taking your life?"..but Yukio does try to be careful with his strength off-duty and he may be a kid but he was certainly a skillful assassin

Apparance: *Exactly like in the photograph and he did have to wear glasses due to poor eyesight * and he doesn't look like his mom..he looks like his late father with his moles and blue eyes. He mostly wore a red cardigan with a black t-shirt underneath with black shorts and brown patient shoes off-duty. He wore similar clothing to his mother on duty.

Okay so I wanna talk about an anime I’ll probably never talk about again here but it’s been in the back of my mind and I need to get it off.

I love Spy x Family with all my heart, this anime seriously is so healing and nice I could go for five whole seasons and not get sick of it.

And of course I’m one hell of a Loid simp, love him and would very much get married to him if I had the occasion, BUT there’s something about him that I just can’t get past and ignore, and I think it’s something that is very important to his development so I’ll go over it.

I’ll start by talking about Yor to have an element of comparison that’s gonna be important after. She’s a very simple woman, we all know that much, she’s not the best at hiding her emotions and thoughts and easily acts on it. The only thing she’s good at hiding is her second job and I mean nice it’s good.

Now what I wanna go over is how Yor acts and thinks towards the Family, so towards Loid, Anya and Bond. She honestly love them so much it’s adorable, she takes her time and energy to take care of them, to please them and make sure they’re happy and content. She’s an amazing wife, even though she’s super clumsy, can’t cook shit and well yeah, not the smartest she’s still a great addition to the family and a very sweet mom/wife.

Now Loid. The problem with him is how he perceive the family. Contrarily to Yor, who sees the family as more or less of a real one in which she can flourish, gain experience and spend nice moment with people she appreciates and care for Loid sees the family as a mean to an end.

It’s especially obvious in the first episode of season 2 that I watched like two days ago, it kinda threw me off. In this episode Yor was shot but can’t talk about it because it’s related to her mercenary job, so in Loid’s eyes she’s hella grumpy and just in a very very bad mood. So he decides to take her on a date, but it’s not because he wants Yor as a person to feel better and to spend time with her, it’s so the wedding wouldn’t fail.

Now I KNOW Loid’s mission is super fucking important, peace in the world depends on it and it’s super pressuring and everything, i truly know and acknowledge that, but would it kill him to just, care about Yor as a person ? To treat Anya like the kid she is and not a school machine ?

Loid is truly a good person and I know his past was very difficult and ended up making him the person he is today, but he needs development. It would do him so great to finally see them as a family with who he can spend a good time, have little dates and laugh.

His trust issues just threw me off, I’m surprising myself to say that a red flag in an anime character actually throws me off but yeah we’re here. He doesn’t trust Yor a bit, he thought just because Yor was in a bad mood the mariage would be over, i mean come on Loid, you know that Yor is a very simple woman and would never ruin a mariage she also needed just because she had a bad day. Same for the episode in which he put a mini microphone on her because he didn’t trust her, like man yeah ok she’s a mercenary but still other than that, which he has NO IDEA about, there’s no reason for him to doubt her.

Anyway this all, i really wanted to share that and I hope with my whole heart that something will happen and make Loid realize the importance of the family, not as a mean to an end but as people he cares for.

Also, I’m not saying Loid has no feelings and is a robot or something, he does, it’s just that sometimes he sabotages things himself by not trusting the most honest people and man, just open your damn eyes you’re frustrating me.

I don't think we're even halfway through the series, so there's still plenty of mysteries to solve. Here are the biggest mysteries in the series:

Yor's background story: Just like we learned why Twilight cares so much about his mission and we saw him as a kid and later as a soldier, we also need to know how Yor got started as an assassin.

How was she recruited? How were those first 'customers' for her?

There's also theories that say her parents may have been linked to the Garden.

The Garden: How does the Garden work? We have a fairly good knowledge about WISE and what it stands for, but we know very little about the Garden. Are they part of the government? Are they a vigilante organization? Are there other assassins? (That would be cool to see 😃)

And most importantly, if Yor chooses to leave, will they let her?

Donovan Desmond: He's the reason why Operation Strix started, yet, we know so little about him. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Is he planning a conflict with Westalis? Does he hate his children? Why is he a recluse? And what are those strange scars on his head?

So many questions, so little answers!

Leonardo Happon: Who is this mysterious figure? And will he be relevant in the story? Some theories say he's one of the scientists that experimented on Anya; others that he's Twilight's childhood friend.

Anya's past and biological parents: Anya's origin is probably one of the biggest mystery in the series and I suspect we won't know about her past until the last arc of the story. Are Anya's biological parents still alive? And what does her name mean? See all the theories about her name here.

Project Apple: What's the link between Project Apple and Donovan Desmond? Even though we don't know much about it, we can guess it's linked to Anya. What's its purpose? Who is running it?

Twilight's real name: This mystery needs no explanation. Many of us are dying to learn what's Twilight's real name, but will Endo choose to reveal it?

Melinda Desmond: One of the most mysterious characters in the series. Why is she estranged from her husband? Is she against him? Is she trying to take advantage of Yor or really trying to be friends? And why did she act that way towards Damian?

spy x family roleswap: Future Sight (Freelance) Yor, Assassin (in training) Anya, Telepath (Informant) Loid and Spy (unretired) Bond

i want to fully write this so bad but here have the premise + some ideas.

This starts with Yor. She was friends with the Garden, not officially an assassin. Her future sight was good for digging through rubble for people and supplies. Later it's good for dodging the SS and anyone she's avoiding. She ran smaller missions, researched targets, cleaned up, was partly but not fully trained like canon Yor.

McMahon picked up Anya. There was a splinter cell and they were training child assassins. This was considered unacceptable - any killing should be done by people who choose it, not ones raised with no choice but to follow orders. Never mind that they do this to keep vulnerable people out of harm, not use them as cannon fodder.

Yor could help because she was the only one who could dodge Anya's knives. It takes time but they get into a rhythm as mother and daughter. There are still Garden traitors out there but as long as Yor breathes she will not let Anya come to harm.

Anya doesn't really understand; Mama Yor does exercise with her, gently, enough that she can still feel good after they stop, that she doesn't collapse. She gets to sleep, and gets naps if she wants, she's woken softly. Anya gets to read and learn from books and ask Mama so many questions! Even if Yor doesn't know they go to the library and find out! And she gets to see kids and be nice to them instead of.instead of..instead!

The Shopkeeper finds this arrangement an opportunity, to grow fruit within a flower garden. "While beauty is needed, even valuable at points, it does not always sustain us."

Yor will infiltrate Eden academy as a mother, and get in with Melinda Desmond, the ex-prime minister's wife. She could get intel on their movements, if they would continue the war or not. Eden also has excellent security - it could trip up the Garden traitors that would try to steal Anya back from school.

Everything was going well - but now she needs a husband for the school interview! Where will she find one on such short notice! That wouldn't be suspicious of her and her daughter?

Enter Loid and his dog, Ozmund.

Loid was dug out of the rubble of his hometown and experimented on. He escaped as a teenager, tried to get back to his mother but she was dead when he made it to his extended families house. They were practically strangers to him, but encouraged him to enlist in the Army to "make something of himself" and "avenge her".

Loid couldn't stomach hearing the thoughts of people in a firefight. They all sounded the same, Westalian, Ostanian, they all wanted to survive. So he dodged the draft as well as he could. He got a scholarship and studied hard so he wouldn't be a foot soldier. Learned how to leverage blackmail to get supplies to where they were needed most, get messages to civilians for them to leave in time. Loid was considered for Secret Service training but he purposely failed some tests. For the past few years, he's been working as a trauma therapist and specializes in mute/deaf/other patients who are difficult to normally communicate with.

Fiona is his secretary, a WISE plant keeping an eye on a man with significant ability to get supplies and information from seemingly out to nowhere. She still has the same crush as canon Loid knows about her affection and is very much not interested. But since she doesn't say it ever outright he can't outright deny it so they're just stuck.

WISE knows about Loid, Loid knows about WISE. They're at an impasse, because he could blow the operation, but he chooses not to as long as he's not roped into full service. Loid takes on a few spies as his patients as well as allows himself to be used as an alibi - all to prevent another War, of course.

Franky was a soldier who ended up with a prosthetic leg and deaf in one ear. Loid helped him out of a depression and Franky works for WISE now as a top spy/equipment engineer. They work on a sign language together in their spare time.

Sylvia uncovered a secret dog training facility. Bond was nearly set to die, but Franky took him to Loid. Bond is named Ozmund, after the Wizard of Oz books. He's a therapy dog that's taken into the office a few days a week to work with the patients.

Then tons of WISE spies get taken out of commission, and suddenly Oz is needed for missions. The dog gets a combat outfit with pouches.

The outfit gets torn up and Loid has to take it to a tailor that won't ask questions. Yor is there, getting Anya's school clothes. Oz picks up that shes going to Eden Academy. The dog immediately puts together that if the child goes to Eden, they have a chance to meet with Donovan Desmond, a recluse that only goes to his children's school events.

Ozmund approaches Anya, and Anya reflexively smacks the dog's snout. Due to his spy training, Oz doesn't flinch. Anya apologizes, patting him softer, like Mama told her.

Loid sees it, hears from Yor's thoughts that she needs a husband for the Eden Academy interview. That Anya is great, but she can't help her alone. Loid can't ignore their thoughts, their worries and hopes about protecting each other.

Loid and Yor enter a fake marriage, juggling raising a child, their missions, and the slow, certain steps towards making a true family.

Misc:

Ozmund gets a new name, "Bond", after Anya's favorite show. Yor also wanted to pick a name, so now his full name is now Bond Ozmund Rudolf Forger. BORF.

Anya has a favorite knife that she keeps on her person. Loid and Yor were able to modify Mr. Chimera to have a secret pouch for her to store it. Anya also keeps peanuts in there.

Yor's future sight is a genetic gift. Her mother and grandmother had it and always warned her never to tell anyone. If she concentrates she can focus on events for one person and replay the vision. But she generally has 1 chance so she's very good at picking up small details at first glance.

Yor wears a different colored bracelet or ring for each day of the week. It's to help her figure out when her future vision happens. When Loid picks up on it he wears a matching tie or shirt.

Loid has a little more "edge" to him. More likely to stir the pot for fun, make gossip and push people into big reactions. Being able to hear all the hot gossip made him jaded and bored of people. Yor and Anya are more honest and open than what he's used to, and he's slowly starting to respond to their genuine feelings.

Loid's powers have developed enough for him to "speak" to others in their minds. It bypasses deafness and the language barrier as long as he's being clear. He explains it as some "ventriloquist tricks" to catch people off guard. He says he has a limited range of 30 feet (and leads WISE and the SS to believe the same) but his range goes up to 50 and if he focuses on a single person he can track to 75 feet.

Fiona believes that because Loid doesn't react to her declarations of love it means that she's immune to his telepathy and they are destined to be partners. Loid just has a very good poker face.

Possible side plot where Desmond was also experimented on by the same people that took Loid - he's a little older, probably volunteered and covered it up after to boot. I'm not sure if he's actually got powers or he didn't get powers and thus considered it a failure, feeding into his "people can never truly understand each other" philosophy.

Anya is being treated to a regimen of poisons to make her immune. The Garden splinter cell sneaks them into her kids snacks. It's why she likes peanuts so much. They taste the same no matter where she goes.

Loid being very up to date with fashion trends and helping Yor with her hair and makeup so that she can "fit in" with the Desmonds. Giving her a bit of polish to her natural style. Actually having a "girls styling day" where he disguises himself as a woman and they go shopping around town. (he says its for a psychological social study about how "women are perceived" but...nah he just thought it would be fun, and it was.)

When the roles are swapped like this, there's actually a psychological horror angle from Yor's POV about Loid.

(you know that your husband has secrets. To protect himself and this stitched up family. But every time it comes down to the wire he keeps saying the same lie: that he's a telepath. But why does he insist on it and try to prove it even when she doesn't ask? Why does he say that he knows about Anya he can't know he would have run if he really knew and wants to help them? No one helps, not without a price. She won't know the truth until it's too late to do anything. She can't trust him until he stops telling her that massive, insane lie.

A scream echoes through the silent apartment causing Loid and Yor to shoot up instantly awake— a reflex from their days of past. With a turn and a knowing look, they each jump out of bed and run to the source ready to do battle with any evil spy or boogie man in the closet. From the glow of the starlight globe on the nightstand, they see the raised outline of something sitting up under the covers and hear the wet sobbing of a child’s tears. Loid flicks on the light as Yor beelines it for the bed.

“Anya?” Yor questions in a soothing voice as she sits along the edge. With Loid standing by along with an anxious Bond, she peels back the blanket until it reveals the shivering little girl. “Did you have a nightmare?”

The child nods with tears still dripping down her cheeks.

“Was it the one about the lab?” Loid confirms.

Again, Anya nods. Her green eyes full of moisture and surrounded in a white sea of red squiggles are like a peridot gem being born from an erupting volcano. It’s evident that tonight’s dream is an especially bad one. This brings a frown to Loid’s face, a bit of guilt…

“Awww,” Yor scoops Anya up into a tight hug bundled on her lap. “I’m so sorry Anya!” She coos assuringly. “Wanna sleep with us tonight?”

“Yes!” Anya sniffles and wraps tightly to Yor’s neck. “Don’ wanna be awone,” she whimpers.

“Of course,” Loid confers with a smile, “you can sleep with us. Here,” he gestures to Yor, “I’ll carry her.” But as Yor is about to pass Anya up to Loid, Bond cuts between them grumbling. Loid chuckles, “I think he wants to be your trusted steed tonight Anya.”

“He does,” Anya confirms, which also brings back her smile.

Yor places Anya onto Bond’s back, then she and Loid follow behind as he trots to the master bedroom. Bond stops next to the bed so Anya can climb onto it. Once she’s off, he goes to the foot of the bed and lays down while Loid and Yor climb in, sandwiching her between them.

“Momma, will you sing me something?” Anya asks politely. “Pweeze?”

“Sure,” Yor kisses Anya’s forehead, who settles in and closes her eyes with a smile.

The couple face inward, Loid laying his right arm over and hand coming to rest on Yor’s waist to bundle them close. He too closes his eyes and relaxes to the sound of his wife’s beautiful voice. It isn’t often that he gets to hear it, he chuckles inside his head at the thought of feigning a nightmare of his own so she’ll sing to him too.

After a moment, Yor hums briefly to find her pitch and begins. “Late at night when all the world is sleeping, I stay up and think of you. And I wish on a star, that somewhere you are thinking of me too...”

Loid can’t help the genuine uptick of his lips as he zones into Yor’s voice. Just two years ago, he never would have believed of a scene like this being anything more than a fictional scene from a drama on television. When he signed up with WISE, he swore off normalcy, swore off family all together let alone having his own. Relationships were just a means to an end and children a prop in an operation. But Loids brows furrow again as he remembers their role in Anya’s nightmare, which is no nightmare but a memory of the laboratory that created her. Because he made a mistake, they kidnapped her and took her back to that awful place. Thankfully with Yor and Yuri’s help they were able to get her back, but not before they put her through a few more painful experiments.

“…I just wanna hold you close, but so far, all I have are dreams of you. So I wait for the day and the courage to say how much I love you. Yes, I do! I’ll be dreaming of you tonight. ‘Til tomorrow, I’ll be holding you tight. And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be…”

Yor’s voice is slowly trailing off, so Loid opens his eyes too and sees she falling asleep. He brushes some stray hairs away from her face, causing her to relax even more and stop completely. This makes him smile. They make him smile. It’s times like this that makes him feel lucky to have met them both. Eventually the nightmares too will become a distant memory for Anya replaced by nights like tonight and her mother’s beautiful voice. All the pain they went through gave them this gift of a family, and there’s definitely nowhere else in the world better to be in.

“I love you too.” Loid leans over and kisses Anya first, then Yor on the forehead, before settling back in and closing his eyes. He keeps his voice soft and serene as he completes the lullaby. “Now I’m dreaming with you tonight. ‘Till tomorrow and for all of my life. And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be, than here in my room dreaming with you... Good night, my loves.”

This is an alternate ending of chapter 62 in the Spy x Family manga. So Spoilers! (But not that much really)

Synopsis-Loid Forger wakes up from a nightmare crying...in front of Yor and Anya.

After Loid has passed out Yor placed a freshly washed blanket over him, just like she used to with Yuri. She sat down in the chair next to him and began to read. After awhile Loid tossed and turned in his sleep. Yor glanced at him, she had gotten distracted by the book she was reading. 

"Maybe I should wake him? Hopefully that wouldn't be butting in- although -" 

Before she could finish her thought Loid jolted up in a panic. He could smell gun power?

Very dazed he looked around "What the? Where am I? ... oh right "Loid's" house" 

He hadn't realized but he had tears in his eyes. Real tears. Of course he has "cried" as an act in many of his missions, but Agent Twilight hadn't cried real tears in years. He used to be a real softie, but things changed in training he learned to push those feelings deep inside. 

When he awoke he looked around again, there was Anya and Yor staring at him startled. He wondered why for a second when he put his hands to his face. He felt the tears streaming down his face and looked at his hand.

"What was he dreaming about?!" Yor thought, she had never seen him like this.

Anya was able to read a little of his mind. Dreams are pretty hard to read, especially when a person is groggy from waking up. All she could really decipher was that it was a very bad dream, it felt real, and that papa was sad. 

The room was very quiet. 

Loid turned bright red, and was mad with himself, spy's don't show their true emotions.

"Loid are-are you okay?"

"Is Papa sad?" 

In the past Twilight had visited the memories from his old, dead life he abandoned. He had come to terms with what had happened. Well so he thought. As a pyciatist he knew it didn't exactly work like that. The remembrance of loss could cause the body to panic even if the mind isn't. Loid knew he was okay, he was safe, in the security of his own home and family. Scratch that. Fake family. But if it was a pretend made up family, why did it feel so so very real?

"I'm alright thank you. Please excuse me" Loid got up and rushed toward his room, bright red he felt so dejected.

"When did I even pass out like that?! Crying like a baby in front of your wife and daughter." He thought. 

Yor got up from the chair and stretched out her hand. 

"Loid wait! It's okay, I promise." 

Loid turned around swiftly he had a flustered, embarrassed face, bright red as he stared into Yor's garnet red eyes. 

Yor slowly walking towards him "Oh I'm sorry, if you want to go to your room that's perfectly fine...but I just wanted to assure you. It-it's okay."

Loid wiped away tears from his eyes, they just came streaming down. As smart as he was he didn't know why. He thought he was smarter than this. 

"DAMN IT TWILIGHT pull yourself together" that head of his was loud.

The lines between who his true self was were getting blurrier and blurrier.

" I'm not Loid and I'm not *name has been redacted* I am Twilight." He thought to himself.

 Anya stared at both of them. Yor walked closer to him. She wasn't exactly sure what to do, but this felt right. She looked him in the eyes, those crystal blue eyes staring back at her. She stretched out her arms and hugged him. Loid didn't know how to react at first his arms floating around her torso. But eventually, melted into it. They hadn't been that close before, sober at least. He left himself indulge for just a moment. If he truly wasn't Loid Forger, why did it feel so good. 

"I'm sorry, I'm better than this" he whispered with a shaken voice.

"Please, don't apologize it's alright. I promise" she said softly

Anya slowly got up and went to Mama and Papa.

Yor let go, but still had an arm wrapped around Loid. Yor raised Anya with the other arm close to Loid. 

"You're a good papa" Anya said encouraging-ly 

The tears were starting to slow down. 

Loid looked at Anya and smiled, "Thank you peanut"

" and a good husband"

Loid took a sharp breath, and his ears got red.

 "thank you Yor"

 Little by little they were more of a family than any of them had ever had. They stayed there in the moment. The 3 embracing each other. Wanting to stay forever.

What's your take on Fiona Frost?

Quick reminder that I don't read the manga so all my views here are only from what the anime has shown! Which, considering she's only been in like, 3 and a half episodes, it's a lot. (I also don't want spoilers for what happens next!)

I enjoy her presence in the story purely for the dynamic she brings in. I don't like her character, I don't like how she treats others (even with Twilight whom she supposedly cares for, her adoration is completely unhealthy for both of them) but I like how, because of her obsession with Twilight and how actually good at her job she is, we get to see a side of Twilight we weren't allowed before. I like that she's not a mere romantic rival to bring tension and an always unnecessary love triangle (love triangles are stupid fight me on this). First of all, I don't think anyone's naive enough to think she poses any threat to twiyor, so she barely even counts as a "rival", but she's also not as shallow-written as most such rival characters are.

She is delusional about Twilight's feelings for her (or his potential to grow feelings for her), she is obsessed and willing to throw others under the bus to get what she wants, but she's calculating and perceptive in parts that make her an interesting part of the story. If she were less obsessed and perceptive, she wouldn't have noticed the truth behind Twilight's smile in episode 21 (that scene is an entire changing point of the family dynamic you cannot change my mind). If she were less ambitious and confident that Twilight could become her partner, she wouldn't have pointed out that truth in the smile because it wouldn't have hit her as hard. In her mind, it's a given that she'll end up with him, there is absolutely no question about that. And it's exactly because of that that she's able to notice and confirm to the audience what we've been sussing all along; that he's slipping and falling in love.

Now, you'll tell me, you enjoy a female character's existence in the story only because she promotes a man's story? Well, here's the thing, Nightfall has something most such characters don't have; surprisingly honest methods. While she's fully willing to step on others to promote herself, she doesn't use deception. She doesn't make herself look better, nor try to make someone look worse than they are. Her intentions with Yor are to expose any weak spots Yor may have that would make her a bad asset in Operation Strix. And as for Twilight, she wants him to see the real her. She wants him to admire her for her true strengths and skills and achievements. And that's honestly quite rare for romantic rivals - usually they're depicted as sly snakes that will use any means necessary, first and foremost lies and deception. But Nightfall actually strives for honesty. She knows that a good relationship needs honesty, she craves for Twilight to respect her for who she is (and is confident enough about who she is that she doesn't seem to give a shit about what other spies say about her behind her back, pretty much to the detriment of her romantic plans), and she is unwilling to make up false weaknesses about her enemies.

With all that, she's pretty fucking interesting and I hope that down the line we get to see more of her, that her place in the story grows past the "plot device to prove to the audience that Twilight is actually growing FeelingsTM" and that her dynamic grows past her "notice me senpai" thing. I'd like to know her backstory and what inspired her to become a spy (we know that having Twilight as a mentor inspired her to work hard but I'd like to know how she got into that line of work in the first place) and I'd like to see her grow into a person whose happiness doesn't depend on a single person noticing her, who can define herself outside from how that person perceives her, and who will stay the fuck away from Yor and Anya until she learns to control herself XD I think just from her short appearance in the anime there was enough given from her that such a progression can be justified. Maybe I'm a little too hopeful, but Endo's writing seems so conscious and well-informed that I can't help it XD
