HAPPY GIANT SALAMANDER DAY TUMBLR!

Text from Kyoto's official Facebook Page: "Kyoto Aquarium has designated September 9th as "Japanese Giant Salamander Day" in order to share the fascinating ecology and charm of these animals. This year, related events will be organized by the aquarium in the following days:

September 7th (Sat) - A talk event by a researcher of giant salamanders will be held together with a paper craft workshop.

September 8th (Sun) - A giant salamander float will be pulled around Umekoji Park.

September 9th (Mon) - Annual public measurement of the giant salamanders kept at the aquarium.

In addition, around 100 stuffed plush toys in the shape of giant salamanders will appear in random places around the streets of Kyoto from September 7th. Some may even appear in the passenger seat of taxis."

Imagine how scary it would be to not only be kidnapped by a plushie that was given to you, but to be taken to a monster who doesn’t even speak the same language as you 😭 like I would be so confused tbh. Tristalis can still get it tho

It was just a silly yellow thing.

You remember the stupid plush exactly how he was given to you. A rather large but very charming yellow demonoid, with dotted white, red and blue patterns on its horns and bifurcated tail. Those salmon cross eyes and that teal smile bore right into your heart. It was so cute and so silly that you ignored everything else.

Ignored the fact that a three-headed stranger had just sat beside you on the bus and awkwardly tried to incite conversation in spite of a glaringly obvious language barrier. He kept... Well, one of his heads kept staring at you. You didn't even know what kind of monster he was, it was meant to be a quick trip, people never usually bothered you on the bus. You just tried pretending to get up and call someone, when he grabbed you by the forearm.

You were going to scream.

If he hadn't put that plush in your hands.

You begrudgingly fished for your wallet, just wanting it all to be over, when the strange monster stopped you.

" Nuh-uh. " " No. " " Yours. "

" Pretty doll- " " -for- " " -pretty girl. "

The stranger stressed, the most successful communication attempt thus far, as well as the first flirt that actually kind of landed.

And God damn you. Free plushies are hard to resist.

You're no fool, however. As soon as the two of you had parted ways, you searched the thing up and down. Jostling the crocheted doll revealed no odd noises or suspicious weight. It was sewn well, didn't exude smells- You even checked for a possible camera on its little collar. Nothing. Part of you was tempted to open it, just to be sure, but you wouldn't be able to close it on your own afterwards.

Point is, throughout the days that you had kept this doll, nothing seemed amiss. You've rewinded, time and time again, all the moments you've had it, and there was never any indication that the plushie was anything other than just that.

So how?

How are you currently being held hostage by a creature that looks exactly like a giant, monstrous version of it?! In your own home, no less!

The stupid thing doesn't even understand you!

Everytime you scream at their doughy yellow face, all they do is pat your hair and offer you different belongings around your bedroom, as if you're some bored toddler throwing a tantrum.

Given enough gesturing, they understand things like needing to eat and take care of other necessities, but everything else is either willfully ignored or simply met with a vacant stare.

The plush kept carrying you like a safely secured baby as they stared out every which window in your home, seeming lost and vaguely stressed at times. You get the strange feeling it wants to take you somewhere but doesn't feel confident enough. Maybe because it's plain daylight, and a scene would surely be guaranteed.

At some point, against all better judgement, you tired of trying to escape from the hold of the yarn creature and dozed off in their soft arms.

The language barrier persists, but when you wake enough to see a three-headed, star man looming by your doorway, you think he understands you're cussing him out all the same.

You met him at a coffee shop. You wore the prettiest outfit and you had him stuttering over his words as he took your order.

After he gave you your drink, he asked if he could have your number. Obviously you are going to say yes, because Aizetsu is a pretty boy and so sweet.

So you gave him your number and you guys started talking every day. Aizetsu tried to flirt with you. He went to Karaku and Urogi for tips. It was very bad but you thought it was cute. It just made you like him even more.

After a few months of talking and being friends, you both clearly had an attraction to each other. You ended up going on a date with him. He went to pay for the meal and was surprised that you took out your card and you had a BLACK CARD?!

The insecurities started sinking in. What if you leave him because he is poor? What if you find some other guy who is richer and a lot better than him? How is he going to spoil you if you are probably used to getting designer things?!

“I’ll pay, Zetsu! Next date, I might let you pay.” Your sweet voice and soft smile snapped him out of it.

“Uhm, (Y/N), next date? Also shouldn’t I be paying? I’m the guy after all…” You can hear the tremble in his voice as he looks at you with those soft blue eyes. God, those eyes could make you melt.

“Zetsu! I want to pay for you! I have too much money just sitting around! I finally have someone to spend it on.” You reassure him, reaching over and holding onto his hand. His skin was soft and bore no calluses.

Aizetsu melted at the physical touch, not bothering to protest as you pay. You two made it offical after that date.

His brothers were staring at him. Aizetsu had about 10 bags filled with clothes and other stuff that you bought him. No matter how much he insisted for you not to buy him things, you did it anyways.

“Can she be my sugar mommy?” Karaku grins, looking through the bags.

“Mine too!” Urogi is happy that Aizetsu has a girlfriend. And one that spoils him too.

Sekido just stared in awe. He never thought Aizetsu would land such a caring and wealthy girlfriend since he always seems to chose the bad ones.

“What the fuck?” Zohakuten came out of his room to see the living room filled with bags.

“(Y/N) is coming over.” Aizetsu finally tells his brothers who all freeze. They all looked at each other before running to clean up and look presentable.

Aizetsu watched them run away before bringing his clothes to his room. He had gotten a lot of bunny stuff. You didn’t judge him for liking bunnies, in fact, you encouraged it.

His room was stuffed with presents and gifts you have gave him. His favorite one was the giant bunny plushie that you insisted on buying him.

Aizetsu never thought he was worthy of such things.

He thought he was worthless and a pathetic excuse of a man, but you made him feel different.

You embraced his sensitive nature, his love for bunnies, his insecurities. You loved every bit of him and spoiled him rotten.

He wasn’t used to such things. His ex-girlfriend had belittled him so much to the point, he thought it was normal to be that way in relationships. So imagine his surprise when you didn’t call him childish for liking bunnies.

The house was clean and his brothers were presentable, waiting for you to show up.

A knock on the door told them that you were here and Sekido opened the door for you, only to immediately freeze.

Aizetsu came around the corner, “What’s up?” He went to go see why Sekido wasn’t letting you in.

“Aizetsu! My darling! Look at what I got you!” You pushed through Sekido and hurried to Aizetsu. You had a bunny in your arms.

Aizetsu froze as you walked over, putting the soft baby bunny in his arms. “Darling, look! Isn’t she cute? I got her just for you. I think this is the greatest gift I’ve ever gotten you!” Aizetsu felt his bottom lip start to tremble.

“(Y/N)…” He couldn’t muster up the words as he started to break. Your eyes had adoration in them. You truly adored him and loved him. You spoiled him with gifts and cherished him.

He couldn’t give you back anything. He felt terrible. Aizetsu felt the tears flowing as he started to cry loudly. “I’m so sorry! I can’t give you anything in return. I’m such a terrible boyfriend!”

“Zetsu! Don’t say that! I don’t need anything back.” You hug him tightly, being mindful of the bunny in his arms. “I just want you to feel loved, my bunny. Don’t worry about giving me things!”

You stroke his hair while hugging him. He eventually calmed down and played with the bunny. Karaku and Urogi played with it too. Zohakuten even joined in.

“I guess we got a bunny now.” Karaku hums, looking over at you and Aizetsu. Aizetsu’s head was in your lap while he had the tiny bunny on his chest.

Sekido was still frozen with shock.

He definitely won’t be too happy once he realizes that they got a bunny now.

My Thoughts on Wish 💫💜🌳🐐🫧

⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️

FUCK I’M SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG

First of all, this review is dedicated to that one Wish stan on Twitter who said I have "no media literacy" when I tried to say that Magnifico wasn’t really threatening, but wasn’t trying to start off a big fight or anything.

I hope that person is having a wonderful day, and I hope this review proves that I do actually have media literacy 🥰🥰

Now, back to the film:

I really wanted to like this movies guys. A film about the origins of the wishing star sounded amazing!

And after I saw the film TWICE in theaters, I was in love. I thought surely my opinion wouldn’t change.

But…the more I thought about the movie, the worst it got.

For example, the songs. I don’t think I need to explain to you guys why "I let you live for free and I don’t even charge you rent" and "throw caution to every warning sign" and "watch out world here I are" DO NOT WORK.

I don’t blame the songwriters for this, because I’m sure they are very talented people.

But they were clearly not the people who should have been in charge of the music.

Not to mention the fact that Julia Michaels was given TWO WEEKS to write “This Wish”….

The Characters

Asha 💜

I like Asha’s design enough, like her braids. But her personality is as bland as a scoop of vanilla ice cream (jk, vanilla ice cream is goated).

Lots of people have complained that the “adorkable” leading lady trope has worn out its welcome.

I used to disagree since those “quirky” characters were some of my favorites (Like Rapunzel, Mirabel, and Moana), but Asha has definitely reached my limit with them.

Rapunzel, Anna, Moana, and Mirabel all feel like distinct characters from each other (yeah stfu ModernGurlz), but Asha feels like an imitation of them, like the cheap Walmart version.

And she’s not really interesting either, she has a passion for art, but the film doesn’t do anything with it. In fact, nothing about her feels genuine. She feels so hollow and like she only has two personality traits: Quirky and the protagonist.

Like, during “This Wish” (which is probably the worst Disney “I want” song ever) I never felt connected with her. It just felt like, oh this is the Disney “I want” song because this is a Disney movie.

I didn’t understand what Asha wanted, “something more for us than this”? Okay…what about you? What do you want?

With all the other Disney “I want” songs, I could feel a connection and what the character wanted.

So yeah, Asha is probably the worst protagonist in the modern era of Disney. At least in terms of writing.

And while I did say I like her design, I prefer her concept arts.

King Magnifico 🫧

Chris Pine seems like he is having a blast in the recording booth, and I gotta say his performance was pretty good. But it wasn’t enough to save this character :/

So, the main problem with his character is that I can kinda agree with him on the whole wishes thing. But, I also barely found him threatening.

The most threatening things he does in this movie is crush a bunch of balls (that’s what she said) that make people feel sad and chain everyone to the ground.

Not only that, Magnifico’s use of his magic is SO LAME! Another major reason I was never intimated by him is because he never did anything really scary or threatening with his magic, all he could do was create giant hands and chain people up. Like…ok? Is that all you got? Really? 😑

Also, I don’t think I need to tell you that his villain song SUCKS ASS. You know it, everyone knows it. I’m not getting into it. Go listen to a real villain song like "Hellfire" or “Friends on the other side" instead.

As for the other characters, I don’t have much to say about them unlike Asha and Magnifico.

Star ⭐️

The Star was really really cute, even tho they were just a Luma/marketable plushie. And also REALLY reminds me of a squish mallow, am I the only one who sees that?

I should definitely mention how he was originally gonna be a StarBoy, but we’ll get to that later don’t you worry. That is a VERY important element in our discussion.

The Other Characters This Movie Has

Amaya is so BORING! She barely has a character outside of being the queen and Magnifico’s wife, she was just…there. You could remove her from the movie with very little tweaking and nothing would change.

I would’ve preferred it if she was also a villain like Magnifico, which WAS originally in the script. But like StarBoy, that is something we will get to later.

The Teens are fine, but really forgettable. I like how they are all based off the Seven Dwarves, that’s cute. But it feels like they didn’t have any character outside of that.

Yeah, Dahlia is Asha’s bestie, but there wasn’t enough scenes between them to show me their dynamic to make me feel like their friendship was genuine.

Simon ended up snitching out on Asha and betraying the Teens in the middle, but I literally couldn’t have cared less because what do we know about this guy other than he’s sleepy and gave his wish to Magnifico?

As for the other Teens, just like Amaya, they could’ve been removed from the script and barely anything would change. The grumpy one had some sassy moments, and he’s voiced by Harvey Guillén (Perrito’s VA) so that’s something I guess. The shy one had this one gag that had comedic potential, but wasn’t really expanded.

And as for the other Teens…uh…I can’t remember a single thing they did honestly.

And then there’s Valentino…fuck that goat man. 😑 I love Alan Tudyk and his roles in other (better) Disney movies, but yeah Valentino is definitely my least favorite role he’s ever done.

All of his jokes were unfunny, and were mostly butt jokes. Which is probably my least favorite form of comedy ever that I cannot stand for the life of me.

Speaking of which, this movie just was not funny. None of the jokes made me laugh or chuckle or even smile.

Raya and the Last Dragon is a Disney movie that I really don’t like, but there were some jokes that got a chuckle or smile out of me. Wish didn’t even have ONE good joke.

Uhh…Asha’s grandpa was build up as someone important but he just peaces out in the middle of the movie with Asha’s mom, who did not do a single thing other than a ball getting shattered making her sad.

And that’s all the characters in this movie.

Legacy Nods, why they do not work

Alright, what else is there to talk about?

Maybe the endless amount of Disney references? I get it’s the 100th anniversary film and all and Disney has had Hidden Gems like that in their films. But the difference is the ones in previous films were subtle and hidden in the background, and it would probably take you a rewatch to see it.

But in Wish? They all feel shoved down your throat. It’s like: “HEY REMEMBER THIS MOVIE??" “REMEMBER THAT??” “DON’T YOU WANNA WATCH THAT MOVIE???” It’s so exhausting.

When I heard the movie was gonna have “legacy nods” as they liked to call it, I was excited and thought it would be so much fun to point them all out and to pay closer attention to the background.

But instead every nod was thrown at my face and was heavily obvious. Disappointing 😔

The Animation

Let’s get to the animation now. It’s probably (one of) the most discussed things about this movie, especially when the teaser first dropped last year.

Lots of people were complaining it looks like a Disney Junior show or Ai and said it looks unfinished. Even one of my best friends who was just as excited for this movie as I was admitted it looked weird.

At first, I loved this art style and thought it was beautiful. And I was determined it would look even more beautiful on the big screen.

And now? I…actually still like it. I definitely don’t hate it, and thinks it gets some getting used to. I think it’s actually kinda pretty.

Apparently it’s supposed to be watercolor and combined with 2D animation, which is neat.

But compared to the films like the Spider Verse films or Puss In Boots 2, yeah it’s not the best.

I personally would’ve preferred it if the film was in 2D, Disney’s 100th anniversary would’ve been a PERFECT time to return 2D animation! But, nope 😒

Yeah it’s bad, but…

I know I’m making it seem like I hate this movie, but I really don’t. I’m disappointed in it more than anything.

If anything, I’m thankful this movie was still made.

Why?

Well, easy.

It allowed many people to be able to tell their own version of the story.

I’m sure we’ve all heard of StarBoy and the cut Evil Amaya.

And yeah, these concepts could’ve made this movie 1000x better.

But because of these concepts, so many amazing people have been given the opportunity to rewrite the movie and give amazing stories.

I have read so many wonderful Wish rewrites, which are so much better than the film.

At the end of the today, Wish is a bad movie.

But, I’m glad it exists.

Without it, we wouldn’t have gotten so many amazing stories.

I’m gonna give Wish a 4/10, still bad, but I appreciate its existence for the rewrites alone.

I'd say, in the context of the story, probably not possible! But that's mostly bc he is in a secret location, constantly monitored and restricted with who he interacts with - and I don't think he would appreciate someone messing with MY property~!

Huh?

But just for fun! Chickpea Trust Gaining 101!!!

Firstly, just treat him like a person! Yes he is a gigantic, doughy apex predator that could probably crush you with his pinkie, but clones were mostly made to look and act human, respect him as you would any other person

So like visit/talk with him often, respect his boundaries, give him a little gift sometimes, y'know how one assumedly normally makes friends with others!

But more specific things: Chickpea has a very strict routine, and he can get very upset if it interrupted in some way - so probably schedule visits during his enrichment time! That's when he gets to play and do fun puzzles, so you could join in too! Or help Soda wash him, he enjoys getting clean for the most part

Don't overstimulate him! So no need to shout! He's huge, but he can hear a pin drop from across the room - he can more than clearly hear you at a normal and calm speaking level! And probably don't run around or climb over him or sneak up on him - he's kinda like a truck, if you can't see the rearview mirrors (his eyes), he can't see you! He can still hear and smell you tho, but it's also kinda like being behind a horse - as in don't do that or get kicked

This also means no bellyrubs, since he is very sensitive there and hates being touched more than he needs to be - if you want to give him affection (and he lets you ofc), scratches under the chin, around the cheeks, ears and neck are the best! - Since those are spots where his muzzle and collar rubs against him and leaves him itchy

He also has a particular itchy spot in between his shoulders where a lot of his folds are - claw caps are not good for satisfying scratches - he loves to be scritched there! Just watch out for his deafening purr and getting flung off by his skin twitching (like y'know when you poke a cat and their whole body kinda ripples? It's like that but on a giant scale)

He's pretty sensitive to smells, and will be calmer with familiar scents, mostly bc most of the people he sees on a day-to-day are scented plushie clones kldfkfd - so scents he likes are lavender (Dr Lavender), chamomile (Nurse Chamomile), vanilla (Nilla), vaguely banana pudding (Nana Foster) and I guess it would be baby powder (Soda)

Ironically, the smell of pizza makes him nervous bc Bruno smells like pizza, so maybe avoid having pizza near him

Chickpea is also very food motivated, so giving him a tasty treat is a good way for him to warm up to ya! His favourite treats are soft-boiled eggs, plain/mildly flavoured yoghurts and meatsss - he's not huge on sweet stuff, but he'll eat pretty much anything

He is also very praise motivated, even if he does not show it much in his expression, so give him the occasional 'good job!' when he solves a puzzle, or a 'well done!' when he has his shots, and he'll be happy - he's not super into like y'know baby-puppy talk like 'who's a good boy? whos's a good boy? you are! yes you aree!' unless you are super close to him, so again, just respect him like a grown adult and not a baby or ouppy-dog

💜 This is Yeonie's favorite pair of jammies!! Often, he refuses to wear anything else!! You even had to buy multiple pairs of Spider-Man jammies because he wanted to wear them every single night!!

💜What puts Yeonjun to sleep? Rubbing your hand comfortingly on his back until he falls asleep works every time though it has to be firm since he can get a little ticklish.

💜 Needs at least two bedtime stories tho (he will beg for more) they help him have happy dreams.Thats if you can can pull him away from the tv in the evenings.

💜 Baby moves around a lot in his sleep and so he ends up kicking the bed sheets off accidentally! So you have to make sure to tuck him in bed extra tightly!!

Soobin

Age: 5 years old

💙 If Binnie wasn't such a good boy, he'd do just about anything to get out of wearing clothes to sleep. BUT- since he has to, he prefers giant sweaters and shirts that nearly cover his shorts that he wears to be each night. Think sweater paws with his pale yellow shorts and giant sky blue sweater!! Your giant bunny baby boy loves to feel tiny.

💙 Since he hates wearing clothes so much, he sometimes tries to kick them off in his sleep. But he doesn't do it on purpose! He promises!

💙 Binnie prefers firm pats on his back over rubs.

💙 He also like to be sang to sleep while patting his back rhythmically to endearing lullabies like "You are my sunshine". It makes him feel safe and warm so he can fall asleep peacefully.

💖 Like Binnie, Beomie hates wearing clothes. But unlike Binnie, he's not afraid to be an absolute brat about it.

💖 Beomie has to be chased around after bathtime in order to get him into his jammies. The only thing you managed to convince Gyu to wear are the prettiest pink nightgowns. Reason why “girly” nightgowns.

💖 If he's restless, all the pats, rubs and rocking will be useless to get him down for the night. But if he had to choose, rubs would be his favorite.

💖 He's a sleepy boy but never when he's supposed to be, he's absolutely full of energy during bedtime! Read Hide and Sleep for more!!

Anyways, the wall posters and stickers thing? Yeah Freddy can absolutely relate to that. The man has a couple of drawings kids gave him and some photos of himself on the wall in his room. He’d be more than willing to share his space so you could personalize his walls more with your posters and stickers. It would make him feel…homey whenever he would come in.

Freddy also relates to the collection of teddy bears and plushies. Have you seen his floors? His couch is half taken by a giant plush of his. He wants to very badly invite your plushies over but is afraid he’d get overrun and drown in a sea of plushies.

Listen, I know Freddy says a lot of praise and a lot of verbal communication but I feel as if his strongest area is physical affection and reassurance. He’d absolutely be a KING at cuddling and being warm, since we all know he’s warm due to him being heated so he can always give the warmest bear hugs to guests and loved ones and good news; you’re the latter so you always get to feel those nice bear hugs!

Freddy, with the help of a maintenance man, has been able to tone the lights of his room down and up with a little switch in his room so you won’t be overstimulated by the brightness of his room contrasting with the bright oranges.

Freddy honestly dislikes bugs but for you? He will tolerate them in front of him just so you can give him those cute smiles and those twinkly eyes. Freddy does this thing where he likes to pretend to be a bit gloomy so you can pepper him with smooches and snuggle up with him against the couch. Freddy absolutely gives you free Fazbear merch and it maybe or maybe not be again company policy to give anything for free but hey, what employee would snitch on Freddy like that? ...I had an idea last night that I wanted to talk about so bad, reader playing security breach and chooses to have Gregory stay in the daycare so reader can 'play' with Sun as best as the game would let them to, then something goes super wrong, a freak accident, a black out, Reader's TV screen may have gone out but something very odd is going on unnoticed by reader, reader can't see it but the 'game' is still going, Gregory shut off the light, Moon came out then Moon sees some very strange. He has time since the generator wires aren't colored like the update had them be to make the daycare event easier. He goes up on his wire to take a look and sees just...

A large free floating giant rectangle in the air, tho it's not large enough for him go through, he justs pauses for a moment goes up and looks in it, sees a confused reader who doesn't even see him somehow despite the red glare of his eyes staring right at them in this a room he doesn't recognize, he is also confused when he tries to look at the other side and this thing is flat(like it's a portal), goes back to observing reader who he can hear muttering about a dang blackout, notices the battery powered digital clock on the wall when reader moves and is surprised to see the time is different, it's only around 6:00pm, close to what he knows is a standard bedtime of 8pm because he's heard a lot of adults say 8pm is bedtime.

But it's past bedtime where Moon is though, he also sees this person is in their pajamas so obviously going to go to bed soon, he heard them mutter about a black out so the definitely didn't turn out and lights, but they're technically in the daycare but still now, they haven't technically broken any rules because the inside of the rectangle is not part of the daycare, then he notices something interesting.

Multiple plushies in different styles but not a single one of the main cast but they all plushies of him and Sun, for every Sun plush there's a matching one of Moon. So whoever this adult is knows about them and is a fan of them unlike the usual adults that insult them.

These plushies are in reach, he could fit his arm through this rectangle if he wanted to, reader however is not within grabbing range and Reader could totally fit through it, out of curiosity he tries to see if he can reach through and grab/steal one of the plushies. He can and he takes it, Moon is like... maybe I can lure them closer to get a better look at them. So he just steals plushies and drops them on the ground till reader having lit a candle notices all their plushies are suddenly missing..

So they walk over to where the plushies once were and Moon gets a better look, the look of absolute confusion on their face is cute...aaaannnd since the daycare has been closed for a very, very long time now it wouldn't hurt to have some company besides Sun who is currently freaking out because nothing explains this sort of thing besides magic so that means magic is real. But is also freaking out because Moon is thinking about kidnaping a random stranger that may be from another dimension because they don't have any plushies like those because people can't make any of their own because Fazbear would sue them if people were making and selling them because of copyright and it's rather obvious due to the various style of plushies they were bought by them rather than made.

Moon decides he'll steal reader too, reader gets frightened seeing this huge clawed robotic hand attached to nothing just grabs the back of reader's head and the first thing reader sees is sharp teeth that are wide open and they can see the straight to the back of it because of the illuminated segmented tongue as their head is shove in, Moon quickly scarfs reader down to keep out of the way as he gets back to trying to catch Gregory with his artificial stomach that's visibly squirming and muffle screams coming from it, which terrifies Gregory into making a mistake, he accidentally breaks a generator. The lights are not going to come back on in the playroom unless they are fixed.

However lucky for Gregory Moon's decision to steal reader cost him some mobility, he tries to climb up the slide but it's slow going due the the weight and his bulging stomach is making it hard to climb through them because of how tight the slides and the tubes are due to nomming reader. So Gregory had a chance to escape still, then he pulls what someone people did in some YouTube videos. Climbed up the top of the slide to the top of the play structures and just hops through the gap between the wall and the ceiling net.

So Moon now annoyed has to wait for the rest of the lights to turn off before he can chase the rule breaker. Reader is like holy shit holy shit, because they know from his voice lines and him chasing Gregory that they are.in.Moon's.stomach. he shouldn't even have one! Reader is shaking, holding themselves and curled up. they're absolutely terrified because Moon broke into reader's dimension and pulled them through into his to eat them and who knows what he's going to do to them now.

Moon gets to chasing Gregory again but heads back to the daycare before the lights outside the play area turn back on. The he just stands there in the dark tapping his fingers on his now not really struggling but still squirming just a little stomach while he thinks about what he can do to pass the time so he doesn't get bored while he waits, sure the human in his gut squirm feels great but then he eyes the pile of reader's Sun and Moon plushies and he gets an idea for something just as fun, reader can feel him moving around alot.

After fifteen minutes Moon spits a wide eyed reader up, reader's staring at Moon in fear which Moon thinks is perfect for what he has planned, he's going to play a game with them, the goal is for reader to find all the places Moon has hidden their plushies before he catches them, they'll have two rounds, about two hours to play this game of his, they will need to place all the ones they find in the center of the daycare. This does infact help pass the time because reader had a lot of plushies. Reader thinks that sort of thing would be impossible to do because of how dark it is.

Moon had taken that into consideration, crouches down, there is no flashlight because Gregory stole it, but what does he have for them? He holds out an unactivated glow stick. Says the game starts now then vanishes into the darkness using his wire. Reader has no choice but to crack it, is surprised to see that it's one that's attached to a cord you can wear around your neck so he is being fair, he'll be able to see reader because of their glow stick and reader could see him because of his glowing red eyes, if he can use all his limbs then they should be able to as well. It's more fun if they play fair, only rule breakers cheat at games in the daycare.

He take his time tho, when it get close to the turn of the hour he stops playing around and catches them from behind when they come out of a play structure, arms wrapping around their waist before yoinking them into the air and deposits them into his and Sun's room. Which surprises reader because they thought he was gonna kill them if they lost.(also doesn't know about the two rounds). Then he goes out grabs the plushies reader has already found and brings them up into the room, tells reader to stay here than goes off to chase Gregory again.

Reader does as he said because damn it, it's safer I'm hear rather than out there with murder robots and a couple murder rabbits, he's rather happy about it when he sees they still in their room, then they play his game again but this second time since the two hours and after he comes back this next time, he burritos them so they can't move, piles the found plushies on them, then he goes out retrieves the rest, piles those on reader too. Reader's like okay, so not dying yet, Moon is literally just putting them to bed.

Lucky for reader this is not one of the fire endings. Unlucky for reader Vanny is still on the loose. Unfortunately finds them and when Moon tries to get her to leave his stuff alone she attempts to use the virus in Moon to make him attack reader...but it doesn't work the way she wanted it to. He noms reader again. Vanny tries it again but Moon doesn't like that, the virus had.. mutated so to speak. This ends up being an entirely new ending thanks to reader's presence. No more Vanny, Gregory gets out and she won't be coming after him, but he still has that fazwatch, still thinks Freddy was like a dad and felt actually cared for and comes back because he ends up missing the fatherly bear. But that same night that Gregory escapes it's lights out for Afton as well because Moon knows where he is and knows the fucker might come after reader too once he manages to climb out of that damn hole. Best to get rid of him now.

The lights are still off for quite a few days, reader manages for find Vanny control remote, shuts down the virus, but because of the 'mutation' (which was unfortunately caused by Sun attempting to get the virus to stop making Moon do bad things and pulling at it's code because he wanted everything it was doing to JUST STOP making it not the same virus as before.) It wouldn't make the virus delete itself in Moon, but did alter it so kids are fine to be around him and naptime could come back, but dangerous for any adult but reader because of him still being stuck in security mode and moon was the one who brought them into the daycare in the first place because he wanted reader there.

Management doesn't know how reader got in, they do know that reader doesn't exist, there's no records of them anywhere and are rather nervous about what Moon could do if they take reader away so instead they just kinda, make reader an employee who lives in the Plex for convenience sake, even going through the work of forging reader an identity so no one ever finds out about reader because stuck there thanks to Moon. Reader's not too mad about it though, they have their plushies and can always replace the items in their house that they lost due to said kidnapping.

They're allow to order themselves stuff that's sent to the Plex but Moon gets it for them because they're not allowed in the maintenance tunnels.This is because the one time they got super lost at night and one of the main cast ( that is Roxy or Monty) not knowing reader lives in the daycare(they never got opened the memo about the daycare having a new staff member, saw the words daycare attendant and deleted it), but it was time for Moon's patrol and reader had been gone for far too long.

Thanks to reader's fazwatch Moon could easily see them going in circles in the tunnel. Then the a concerning sudden stop then moving much much slower. Gets there to see naughty animatronic causing a bruise to readers arm, called them a naughty (animatronic species) saying that it's against the rules to attack daycare staff then breaks them, noms reader and sends in a security report of "(Roxy or Monty) having a malfunction and harming a human staff member" so did his job of security and protected said staff. Despite being extremely hostile to adults other than reader still takes the security part of his job seriously.

Anyways he noms reader so he has his hands free, picks up their package that goes back to the daycare. Puts the package up in their room(which is also Sun and Moon's room, this is way after the security breach incident so Sun is now accustomed to reader living there and is like "Roomie!" Toward reader and is glad reader is chill about the whole being kidnapped by Moon thing after Moon had protected them from Vanny and Afton who he tore apart and crushed multiple times in the trash compactor. He basically used it, went down to where the trash chute goes, grabbed the pieces and brought them up to throw in the trash compactor again, till Afton was too mangled to ever be put together again. Like, coin thin and broken into more pieces anyways)

But yeah that little incident in the tunnels is why reader is not allowed to pick up their own packages anymore.

So basically that was the whole idea. sometimes brain go wild.

it was fs nishinoya and tanaka’s idea to set one up after school in the gym where they tell everyone to pretend to forget your birthday just to add that special element of surprise

but then again, guys like tsukishima and kageyama don’t need to pretend they didn’t know your birthday because they truly didn’t until hinata brought it up to them (don’t take it too personally tho lmao)

speaking of which, hinata almost spoiled the surprise for you if yachi wasn’t there to distract you 💀

despite being the second year’s idea to throw this surprise party for you, it’s primarily the third years doing all the work since tanaka and nishinoya don’t know how to organize a party for shit

poor kiyoko is actually doing all the work while daichi and asahi are putting up decorations with the help of the first years (tsukishima had to be forced tho smh)

yamaguchi and yachi seem like the types to overthink what to get you for a birthday present, probably going all out while kageyama would just buy you your favorite drink and snack from the vending machine near the gym literally five minutes before the surprise

the third years and first years as mentioned before were setting up decorations, hanging up streamers, setting out balloons, and handing out party poppers

with kiyoko, takeda-sensei, and ukai set out a table for sugawara to place the cake he made for you (which it almost fell cause ennoshita bumped into him)

hinata was also on the lookout if you and yachi were nearby

and when you were, he shout so loudly that even you heard down the hall

finishing up any last minute details, the team sets out their presents for you with their party poppers in hand before shouting, “SURPRISE!!”

how about two; watercolor and fursuiting. i think watercolor’s gorgeous but its something i could not possibly abide doing myself; its too imprecise and relies on timing and you can’t edit it midway or think too hard about it and it also uses a brush.

fursuiting fascinates me as an art but i definitely appreciate it most from a “oh my god giant stuffed animal” perspective LMAO. i want miniature ones as plushies. i love the styles people develop with em

- you suddenly stop like time had stopped and totally lost control of your movements

Chapter 3

To a World Stage and Memories

The sun is rising again in Wonderworld, with its light shining. Ghost was very active this morning ever since she 'interacted' with Clocktower Kid. Sending mail after mail was great, thanks to Cloud who's been helping out by giving Clocktower Kid the mail from stage to stage.

It was a nice moment for Ghost, Clocktower Kid with Pensive Perriot came to her stage more frequently that day. It starts from a simple letter passing until a planned meeting by her stage. She was nervous to show herself to them since she has never socialized with anyone unless it's Lance, and usually hides in the covers.

Ghost is in her room, sitting next to her desk as she is writing in her journal about her experience for the but she stayed in her room more than usual.

"Journal #34"

"It's been good today, I feel quite refreshed after opening up to Perriot and Clocktower Kid days ago.

Now they got to show me their stages, it was amazing! A giant clock tower showing up in the distance as I walk by from Clocktower Kid's stage.

While for Pierrot's stage?

Amazing with the rides and playing at the carnival stall games.

We won some of the games, half of these are rigged and hate it so much.

We had a good laugh, we got some plushies too!

Many kinds of plushies that we get, giraffes, parrots, and- "

She froze for a second and frowned at the words she wrote. She shivered back at that memory as the cold gust of it just flowed in her room. She looks outside to see the dark sky illuminated by the beautiful stars sparkled through.

~Flashback~

    “Yeah that was fun!” Giggled Clocktower Kid as she steps off the spinning teacups with Perriot and Ghost by her side. “Yeah Clocktower Kid,” he smiled as he held his stomach from that ride. “You.. Kinda spinned it too fast..” Commented Ghost, as she stands near a light post for support.

She then slowly walked to Perriot and whispered, “Thanks for stopping the ride Perriot,” he looked at her and said, “Your welcome Ghost, good thing Lance told me about changing the stage a bit, or else we would never ride those.” He smiled and shook his head a bit as his stomach ache slowly fades away.

The sound of laughter now slowly faded as they now finally rested from the thrill.

“Hey Ghost,” said Clocktower Kid.

“Yeah?” Ghost leaned to the side to get a good look at her.

“Do you really not want to meet the others?” Clocktower questioned her, “They are really amazing people that you’ll love to know more about!”

She looked at her eagerly.

Ghost nervously sweats, “I think it’s not really a good time for me, I mean yeah! They sound great but…” She trails off to the side.

‘I just don’t want to….’

Pensive Perriot thought to himself, ‘Well maybe-’’

“Hey look over there!”

Grabbing his attention to Ghost, seeing her looking over to the direction the game stalls. “Oh the game stalls? Interested?” Perriot questioned her.

“Oh- yeah actually,” she kindly smiled at him.

“Then what are we waiting for?” Clocktower Kid questioned them, “Let’s go!” She jogged off to where the game stalls are. As a bunch of Negati are following her to the stall games not too far from it with Ghost and Pensive Perriot following her.

The list of stalls in front of them are Get the Duck, Balloon Poppers, Apple Dive, Dart Toss, and Ball Throw.

“Oh! These look nice!” Ghost commented, “Yeah these are very fun to do!” said Clocktower Kid. “Would you like to take a shot?” Perriot questioned her as he walked near to a game stand, “Me and Clocktower played this so many times so you should enjoy it too!” He looked at her as he is now on the Balloon Poppers game stand. “Wanna try this game?”

She looked at the game, "I guess I'll try," she then picked up the dart and threw it at the balloons. It managed to hit the ones below.

Ghost smiled, enjoying the game. "Nice shot Ghost!" Complimented Clocktower Kid. "Well thanks! Well I did my best, it isn't much tho"

Looking to her side as she sees Perriot set up the Duck stand. "Hey Clocktower Kid, wanna catch some ducks?" He questioned, "Sure thing!" She responded as she went to him. They then enjoy their game, Perriot decides to make the game more challenging, he shakes the sides of the table that's holding a little pool filled with rubber ducks, "Hey Perriot! That's cheating!" She whined at him and whacked him with a stick of her fishing pole. "Woah! Hey hey! Stop that!" He then defended himself, "I was trying to make it more interesting", he added. "You could've just told me!" She pouted and gave him the look, "Whoa hey I'm sorry Tower," he apologized.

Ghost was amused and enjoyed a bit of their quarrel. She let out a small giggle, "Pfft- hahaha!" Thinking about how long this will go, 'Man.. I think it's better to stop them,' she thought.

"Woah hey guys! Ya need to cut that out!" She yelled to get their attention as she got closer, "These toys don't win themselves ya know," she added. 

Clocktower Kid and Pensive Perriot looked at each other, "Yeah I guess you're right," replied Perriot. "Sorry I didn't tell ya, I just love surprises!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry too," she smiled at him. They then went back to play the game.

"Oh and Perriot?" She called to him, "Yes?"

"Would you mind if I explore around a bit? I really like to know more about this place personally, is it ok?" She questioned him. "Yeah! It's ok, I don't mind that. Just don't go too far ok? Also you can take anything you like here," he answered.

"Thank you, and don't worry. It won't take long!" She replied as she left.

Leaving those two alone she explored the park. There were a lot of Negati scavenging in the shops as she then circles around the castle attraction. She notices a lot of food stalls and rides that are really familiar to her. Yet she can't put her finger on it.

She then hears a bunch of noises by the corner of the building, a Negati that's in the trash can struggling. "Oh! Just a Negati," she commented, as she was about to go the other way. The noises from the trashcan became louder, "Hmm?" She looked at the trash can again as she cautiously approached the Negati. "Ya stuck?" She inspected it, as it's little legs and tail began to wag furiously making the trash can shake violently. "Yup… Ya stuck," she then gets a hold on the Negati, lifting it up, and carefully shaking it. It then shakes furiously and now falls down with a plop.

She then took a good look at the Negati, "Ya good?" She looked at it carefully and inspected what kind of Negati but it pounced on her.

"Woah woah woah- hey!" Falling down from the attack, she underestimated the small Negati, "Woah hey- leave me alone! I was trying to help!" Rolling from side to side so she can get away a bit from the creature. "Ow ow ow ow! Now you are munching me!" She desperately swats it away as it munches her hip as she then stands up to look at it. 

Now standing away from the small beast, it's a Gawgaw, it has some markings and stripes all over its body, it stands on all fours and has a waggy tail and finally, a mask with pointy ears.

It growls at her and barks, staying in it's usual spot. She puts her hand on her right hip where the Negati bit her, feeling something rough in her pant pocket. 

Pulling it out reveals a small bundle of Drops.

"Oh? You want this?" She questioned the Gawgaw. "Bark! Bark!" It joyously wags its tail as it looks at the Drops.

 "You want it boy?" It jumped higher with joy as she swung the Drops around, "Then go get 'em," tossing it to the side, the Gawgaw rushed in and ate the Drops with its jaws, crushing it to bits with it's jaws.

"Man.. That hurt," she muttered as she worried about her hip. Looking back at the trashcan that looks very clean, she sees something white. Taking a step closer to the object, it was a white cat plushie with gray stripes and looks like it is in a good condition.

"Huh? Why would someone throw this away?" Ghost wondered to herself, looking back in the trash can was a bundle of fresh, clean cat themed items.

"What the?? There are so many!" She pulled out a couple of cat ear headbands and jackets. "These look cute but why would but why?" Putting the headband and jacket back in the trash can, she looked around to find a place to properly put the items on. Holding the trash can, she saw a bench next to a small fountain.

Carrying the bin, she walked off to the bench and placed the bin by the side. She analyzed the items before her, "These are pretty clean, why would Attilio throw these?" She wondered, "Maybe it's best to ask Pensive Perriot," Ghost thought about that, she then picked up the things that she could carry and left.

She then went back to the game stalls with the items she had to show to her friends. Looking around to see where Perriot and Clocktower Kid went, she saw them at the cotton candy machine. That's not far from the game stalls, she saw them casually eating cotton candy.

"Yum! This apple flavored cotton candy is really tasty," commented Clocktower Kid, "Yeah, but Clocktower Kid don't eat too much or you'll have a stomachache." Perriot told her as he eats the cherry flavored cotton candy.

"Hey guys!" Ghost called out to them. "Oh hey Ghost! That was quick," said Perriot, "Where did you go, Ghost?" Questioned Clocktower Kid.

"Well I was just strolling around the large building over there," she then pointed to the building she was talking about, "Then I heard a noise, just to see a Negati stuck in the trash can."

"Awww.. Are they ok?" Clocktower Kid questioned her, "Oh don’t worry it’s ok tho,” she reassured her, “but I found this!”

She shows the two a cat plushie, not realizing the shocked look on Clocktower Kid's face.

Things went downhill after that very moment.

~Flashback End~

'I'm sorry Clocktower Kid… I didn't mean to..'

She now finishes writing in her journal after that train of thought. Remembering Clocktower Kid's horror of seeing that plushie. She didn't know what to do, regretting about what happened, she kept quiet and didn't interact with them for a few days. Just to give them space once in a while.

Suddenly she heard a distant knock, immediately closed her notebook and hid it in her drawer. Looking out in the window was Lance himself. "Oh it's Lance," she muttered as she quickly fixed herself up and went downstairs.

Reaching the porch she opens the door, "Oh hey Lance," she happily greets him, "What's up?" She questions him. "Oh I'm just visiting here for a moment when going, just want to see how you are doing?" he said calmly with a smile.

"Oh just doing absolutely nothing actually, just vibing!" She replied as she opened the door fully, 

"So where were you headed actually?" Ghost questions him, "Well this is actually a personal matter for this time of hour," he answered as he looked to the side, looking out in the buildings for something.

"Ok I see," she said as they awkwardly stood by the porch. Ghost not knowing how to continue the conversation, but then a memory just popped up in her head. "Oh Lance before you go, I have to ask you this one thing that's been bothering me," scratching her head out of nervousness. "Sure thing Ghost, what is it that's been bothering you the most?" He rhymed. "Well this sounds stupid but..." Trailing off from her words as she speaks.

"I'm seeing some things that are never there," she said as she nervously tried to explain to Lance, "Really? I've got a feeling this isn't silly," he commented.

 "I saw someone running in the flower field as I was feeding the Negati a few days ago, and they were really not happy about this stranger, and later on. I got these weird images flashing through my head and I'm really frightened by it. There were these people looking at me disappointed and angry at me." she starts having goosebumps from that thought. "And… I don't even know them yet. I feel an amount of dread and pain like… I failed them..." Ghost tries to hold back the tears.

Lance then puts his hand on her shoulder, "Calm down Ghost, if it really frightens you like that, then just don't speak about it such as that."

"No!"

She yelled, making the Negati around the stage go quiet.

"It really feels important! I just gotta tell you!" She added, shocking Lance from the outburst.

"There is this one thing that scares me from that," she continues, "There is this one strange figure, very tall actually." She added.

"Really?" Said Lance, who got interested in the description. "Yes really," she closed her eyes trying to remember what that figure looks like. "Well it looks like you, I think, with the clothes." She said as he slowly looked at him. "He wears a huge tophat that doubles as a mask, yellow glowing eyes, has a big smile and has some dreadlocks."

She finished her description to him, not noticing Lance's gaze got darkened.

'He's really persistent huh?' He thought, then looking back at Ghost, "Don't worry Ghost. That thing won't get near because I am here." He then calms her down, "Thank you Lance," Ghost happily looks at him.

"Promise me.. That you'll be there for me right?" Ghost questioned him. Silence only occurs between them as they look at each other.

"It's a promise Ghost, I'll be there when you need me the most," the Maestro promised.

"Looks like I better go now," he said as he bowed to her as he made his exit casting a portal.

"Goodbye Lance!" Ghost said as she happily waves and now goes to close the door.

"Ciao!" He waved back as he disappeared through the portal.

~Later somewhere else~

"Looks like Balan and his pawn is still ongoing huh?" Said Lance as he stands still on a floating debris, gazing through the parts of Wonderworld. "Chirp chirp!" Tweeted the Sutasuta, a birdlike Negati standing by his side.

Lance took notice of the Negati, kneeling down and stretching out his hand towards the creature. Telling it to hop on his palm, and it did.

Standing up he pulled out a Drop which the Sutasuta happily ate. He smiled as the Negati enjoyed its meal.

"He doesn't know he'll just make it worse for them or even himself," he sighed as the Negati finished the Drop and flew away through the sky.

Lance then gazes through Wonderworld as time goes on.

Oh buddy. Ohhhh buddy. Thank you for this ask, and sorry in advance for the essay. I ship Courfius so much. I follow their ao3 tag so religiously that I can tell you that the last thing posted to it was on February 26 2021. I ship them platonically, romantically, angstily, fluffily, canon era, modern era, and every AU in between. They are so versatile.

I’m gonna be real tho, it was one of those things that started as a “haha what if” ship because of the lines like ‘come home with me’ and ‘i have come to sleep with you’ in the brick, and the fact that Courfeyrac gives Marius his old coat (a trope I cannot get enough of, I am so weak, oh my god,) and they were roommates. Oh my god they were roommates.

Marius falls under my all-time favourite character category of high intelligence, low wisdom. He is literally such a disaster of a human that I feel like the only person who could handle him is someone he can develop a close personal relationship to before he falls in love with them (i.e. Courfeyrac), so that the change is slow and gradual. This man cannot handle sudden change. Like at all. And then when he realizes he has feelings he’s shy about them.

Courfeyrac in my mind is someone who is a bit shallow when it comes to taste in people (and Marius is, unfortunately, Hot) and enjoys the pursuit of a relationship more than a relationship itself. He could flirt all he wanted but Marius is an oblivious dumbass about anyone’s feelings other than his own. That’s one hell of a pursuit. It’d be such a long game that he’d have time to develop Actual Feelings in the process.

So now you have a recipe for a pining disaster. They’re absolutely peak idiots friends-to-lovers, and I think the way it would happen is that they gradually push the boundaries of plausible deniability until one day they realize they’ve been dating for a while, now. You know. In the grand tradition of the slow burn.

-A fluffy concept with this as the groundwork: they move in together out of necessity as in canon, they become friends, they start sharing things. They make their plans around each other. They do that thing that longtime roommates do where they buy stuff for the house rather than themselves. They realize both their sleeping situations would be more comfortable with their two mattresses stacked back together like they’re supposed to be, and hey, it’s big enough for the two of them. Literally everyone else assumes they’re partners by now, and it takes someone casually dropping that fact in conversation for them to realize it themselves.

-Angstiness comes entirely from canon era and Courfeyrac dying on the barricade. And there are Options. If Marius falls in love with Courfeyrac and not with Cosette, he never meets Valjean and thus they both die on the barricade. If Marius falls in love with Cosette and not Courfeyrac (i.e. the canon timeline), Courfeyrac’s feelings go unrequited, and Marius either finds out way too late or not at all. If Marius falls in love with Courfeyrac and Cosette, Valjean still saves Marius, but doesn’t know about Courfeyrac and Marius has to keep living in the knowledge of what he had a chance at.

-I had this whole campy modern AU idea in which Courfeyrac and les amis are theatre actors in the musical Napoleon (a real show) with Courfeyrac playing the titular character, and Marius simps for Napoleon in the way that some Hamilton fans did for the founding fathers. He stage-doors at a show and tells them like, “you made me realize the brilliance of the real man!” or something and Courfeyrac is like “I do not condone this guy’s actions in the slightest but I love that for you?” cue a modern version of Marius’ post-être libre crisis. They fall in love and stuff too but I really haven’t figured that part out yet.

Idk if I’ll have time to write that last one (currently working on a completely different Courfius AU for the banguette) but it, along with the very concept of this ship, exists in my mind rent-free.

Anyway, TL;DR I’m love them.
