Random - I was so inspired by you that I thought about making a blog about my fics recs but I don't even know where to begin. It's too overwhelming!! How do you even do it 😭😭
Hey Nonny!
Ooof, don't have a life is my suggestion LOL 🙃
Seriously though, I'm honoured that I have inspired you and I hope that you find the time to create your own fic rec blog!! The secret for me, anyway, is that I generally don't really have a life outside of work, so I spend a lot of time on my blog, AND I also have a compulsive disorder that actually benefits in the sense that I have an obsessive need to file and organize things, and in turn it benefits you guys, LOL.
I've written several posts in the past that you can reference back to:
I want to start a fic rec blog, but I’m insecure about it
I want to start a fic rec blog in another fandom, any advice?? (Long post with links to my other informative posts... Essentially a masterpost and the best one to read)
I also want to start a fic rec blog, any advice?
How do you go about collecting your fics?
How do you keep track of and organize fics
Have you thought of keeping an excel sheet
I want to make fic recs, may I use your formatting for mine?
How Do I Go About Collecting Fics for Fic Recs
Those hopefully will answer all your questions :)
But yeah, some starter tips:
Come up with a method right away on how you're going to file fics. Mine took 4 years, and I STILL am revising it. By this I mean, are you going to rec only fics you've read, or stuff you find? Will you be an interactive blog (which again eats up time). Have a system in place. Mine did well initially because I usually ONLY rec fics I've read. Now people like it here because they feel like they're a PART of the blog, because I add their recs to my posts, and will rec fics suggested to me. It's how I've lasted a long time here.
That's another thing, allow yourself to evolve with "what needs to be filled". There was a gap in the fandom for recs, I just started doing it and then suddenly I became THE rec blog. It just HAPPENED. I never intended on it, but I enjoy it.
Don't let fic recs comsume all your free time. Running this blog is a LOT of work, and most of my evenings AFTER my full-time job, and weekends were consumed with blogging. I struggle a lot with my mental health because I constantly feel like I have to have something always for y'all. Nowadays I let myself have most of my weekends to myself, and I'm doing a bit better because of it.
People will criticize you for what you rec. It will bother the shit out of you, but also understand that they don't KNOW how much work running a fic-rec blog is. Just... let it roll over you and continue with what you like.
Take breaks. I'm overdue for a Blog Break™.
Add fics to lists AS you're recced them. It saves a lot of time.
Have a tagging system. It's ALSO saved me a LOT of time.
Do your lists offline, and copy-paste into Tumblr after. I make each rec post on a Tumblr draft, copy-paste it into notes, and make my list from there. That way the formatting is consistent throughout.
And finally, DON'T let yourself get overwhelmed!!! That's when it feels like more of a chore than a fun-time. Seriously, just take a break and go back to it.
I hope all these tips help, Nonny! And when you do start your blog, let me know, and I'll rec it for you! 💜🖤
Have a great day Nonny!! 💜🖤

We know what it wasn't a big secret to the cult of Bhaal what their Chosen (Durge) is a lil (a lot) obsessed with the Chosen of Bane.
Orin def told everyone who would listen about it, as Balthazar's note on "Prayer for Forgiveness" might imply.
But have we thought about the other side of this?
How many of Bane's servants present at Gortash's coronation saw Durge and went "Ugh, not them again. ANYONE but them. Dark Lord Bane, we serve you well and do not deserve this".
How many of banites had to watch their Chosen act like a lovesick fool at his own coronation and tried very hard not to cringe?
Like bhaalists were not pleased with their Chosen's affections, but I bet Gortash was INSUFFERABLE with Durge by his side.

idk thinking about the birthday party today and just . when ramon first brought up fits birthday ages ago i don’t remember exactly what stream it was but he told ramon that he would be happy with it being just the two of them . it took him a while to agree with ramon about inviting pac .
thinking about how today and how so many people showed up - like bad and phil weren’t even streaming, luzu was going to come but had to leave early, and pac left him a fucking trident of all things when he couldn’t make it . literally everyone online and their eggs showed up . dapper logged in after the party had started to show up !
i genuinely don’t think fit understood until today how much the others on the island actually cared about him . he STILL probably doesn’t fully understand . like he was even telling ramon that they don’t need to take up anyone’s time because they were planning on doing a dungeon (which was actually his party butttt he didn’t know that) DURING it .
idk and i KNOW there were some extremely emotional letters but empanada’s hit hard . thank you for protecting me but let us protect you sometimes too . i hope you feel as loved as you are .

"Uh...something's wrong..."
Kou-kun groaned as he stared down at the pot.
"Should I help after all?"
"Eve, you mustn't get involved...okay? Just quietly watch over us."
Even though he said that, an increasingly terrible smell was spreading throughout the kitchen. Despite being told not to interfere, I was starting to get a bit worried.
"Maybe it needs some sugar-chan!?"
"Ah!!"
Before I could stop him, Yuma-kun dumped several sugar cubes into the pot, filling the room with a foul stench. I felt a sense of despair.
The whole mess had started when Ruki-kun injured his hand.
"Ruki-kun always cooks for us, so let's all pitch in today!"
And so, Kou-kun's plan of making dinner ended up as disastrously as I had feared.
"...This is...?"
"Well... It's supposed to be curry..."
Kou-kun glanced at me as if pleading for help. When I looked at Yuma-kun and Azusa-kun, they averted their eyes. In short, something horrible had been created. Its color was... to put it nicely, pitch black. After tasting it, Yuma-kun commented nonsensically that it was "bittersweetsalty". Dubbed "Mukami Brothers' Style Curry" it had transformed into a mysterious substance resembling anything but curry. Just by looking at it, anyone would instantly recognize it as inedible.
Yet, Ruki-kun was peering at the plates lined up on the table with a happy look on his face.
"Maybe it's better if we don't eat this..."
In spite of Kou-kun's uneasiness, Ruki-kun scooped up the substance with a spoon and brought it to his mouth.
". . ."
"It's disgusting."
We all shared the same fear. That even though he's immortal, Ruki-kun might die from this.
Despite his words, Ruki-kun's expression suddenly relaxed. We stared at him in amazement.
"R-Ruki-kun...!!"
"Ruki..."
"Ruki...! Damn it! Yer such a...!"
The three brothers, seemingly drained, collapsed to their knees on the spot. Ruki-kun simply watched them in silence as he continued to eat.
And then, afterwards—Ruki-kun was bedridden for three days and nights. Even though Vampires aren't supposed to get sick...
Seeing this, his brothers made a firm vow to themselves. They would never try to cook again.
