in light of recent canon academic conversations, riz adaine gorgug study sessions have never been more real to me. gorgug helps riz + adaine get out of their own heads when they’re overworking themselves, riz + adaine help gorgug with alternative studying methods because he learns best through visuals + experience. fabian’s there occasionally when he has a particularly difficult assignment/test but he makes them all swear never to speak of it in order to protect his “image.” kristen has shown up exactly twice: once for advice on a group project that was two months overdue & once to just lay on the floor and relax for an hour before leaving. fig didn’t know the study sessions were happening until sophomore year & now keeps getting monthly bans because every time she shows up she ends up accidentally distracting riz + adaine. also, sometimes after/in the middle of really long study sessions riz adaine & gorgug go to basrar’s together to unwind but fabian kristen & fig Are Not Invited (they do still text to ask if anyone wants something brought back from basrar’s. they’re not heartless, after all).

SMG4 itself is like over one thousand episodes including movies but the Puzzlevision arc honestly isn't that long... maybe... I skipped the intervals tbh jgfjdglkdsg. If you can take the initially more dominant style of humor (which I believe is the standard, and it just isn't for me so I had a hard time getting through some episodes in the beginning) then it's alright :3

If nothing else it's definitely worth it for Brendan Blaber's vocal performance because he honestly blows the character out of the park. I love the passion and the raging and the playful moments as well, really makes him sound like a fun quirky fella who might also burn your house down

So are the Big Bads of Junior Year going to be the Rat Grinders? AKA kids who leveled up 'the normal way' by doing a bunch of quests, grinding, taking on any enemy to get more powerful, but because of the 'luck' and 'opportunities' given to other kids (ie the Bad Kids) aren't being lauded or appreciated like they expected so they're taking it out on the Bad Kids, have taken advantage of it the summer they were gone, and are doing what they can to punish them for 'being rewarded despite failing at what's expected of them, despite actually saving the world'.

I wonder if all the members of Rat Grinders have classes that reflect those of the Bad Kids? We already know they have a rogue and a bard...

#d20 #dimension 20 #fantasy high #fantasy high junior year #this makes perfect sense to me story wise in terms of the past 2 seasons we had heightened tension and drama in the villains faced #from kalvaxas to the nightmare king to the night yorb at the beginning of this season #some pvp (even if the other ps is the dm) makes sense for a stripped back season focused more on relationship building #plus we've been missing the high school rival aspect of fantasy high this is a good focus for junior year #when you are now realizing you are in direct 'competition' with other kids for opps and positions in colleges and unis #and the rat grinders probably see the bad kids as having a leg up on everyone because they were able to save the world multiple times #and could parlay that into bright futures in any college they want like brennan hinted at in ep 3 #this season the rat grinders will try and separate the bad kids and put ultimate stress on them to break them apart or get them kicked out #getting rid of gilear to install a principal more aligned with their views #and yes i absolutely think those four yorkshire terriers in a sweatervest made it so gilear won a cruise #it's a very tracey glick thing to do

I HAVE ANOTHER VISION AND YES IT'S ALSO ABOUT GRAVITY FALLS BECAUSE THIS SILLY LITTLE SHOW HAS TAKEN OVER MY LIFE AND I'M GOING THROUGH THE HYPERFIXATION I DIDN'T GO AS A KID. Ok, so since Gravity Falls is a Disney show and Marvel is owned by Disney, that means a crossover could TECHNICALLY be cannon, right? Especially with all that multiverse stuff that happens in both. So, imagine Ford in an alternate universe finding the cave in Gravity Falls and finds the writing and goes like "wow, this is warning me that I shouldn't say this incantation aloud. Who am I to question such an ominous warning?" And then TVA kidnaps him because "that wasn't supposed to happen, you were supposed to say that incantation" so they send him in the Void. He spends the next 30-40 years there and becomes part of the team against Cassandra. I imagine he'd be one of the longest residents of the Void that have managed to survive and that he would have crossed paths with Cassandra more than once due to that. Maybe he's even come across the Lokis.

I've been studying more 3d painting/shading techniques and It is still quite a bit messier than I would like.

#playing doa dimensions #after playing hours of doa 4 #the first game takes place in 2011 #is all about cloning #also fame douglas was trying to “guide the human consciousness through a fighting tournament”#also they have some of the best fighting outfits ive seen #the only reason i was thinking about this was thinking about the hand to hand combat #in both prototype and assassins creed #and they weren't fleshed out but in Alex's case a lot of his fighting relies on hand to hand #and it suffered from not having a fluid combat system when a lot of the fighting in prototype relies on position and what ur using #ie the musclemass the hammerhands the whip the claws sword #even throwing things #also the tag in/out system was great especially with throwing and grabbing in doa which is a mechanic both prototype and assassins creed #like if i were to say the biggest mechanics shared by prototype and ac is the parkour movement fighting in wide open areas and how to evade #doa fighting mechanic would add some serious polish #maybe with sword mechanics from soul cal?#the up and down movement would lend well to 1v1 encounters and could be expanded to close to what the og games have now #when facing more than 3 enemies #idk just spitballing #the mechanics.....
