Don't tell the other babies but Olive is my favorite out of the bunch, she's so silly, loves to sit with me, or staring at me and judging me, and omg she's already so good at flying! She flew about 8-10 feet yesterday, from the brooder box to a table to check out what was going on.

They're all really good babies, they like to sit on the lid and edge of the brooder box and just hang out and play, they aren't scared of the dog and the dog reacts well to them. I just love em so much 🥹

tbh at first i was like, a lil confused that javier didn't go up to check on lloyd esp since javier is so willing to do anything to protect lloyd. its clear too that he knows abt lloyd's heart freezing,,, though i suppose at the same time, javier trusts lloyd's word so much that when the noble says he'll be fine, javier accepts it as he always has,,, either way his desire to run to protect lloyd and his willingness to trust that lloyd will be okay are both very sweet,,, the mutual trust always makes me so happy,,,,,,, ohhh javier ilysm,,,,,,

i am glad then that alicia went up to go check on him and that javier is reassured by this!!! look at his smile ooohhh hehehee

i think choosing to have javier trust his queen instead of sowing conflict btwn the two is rlly nice, tho mostly bc i am biased bc i tend to prefer sweet reliability over infighting,,, he trusts her to take care of lloyd the way javier would take care of lloyd,,, (is this alillovier propaganda? perchance,,, /lh)

though smth to note here, i am quite confused as to why javier's mana is suddenly rejected when he tries to absorb it? but alicia's works just fine? and javier has shared mana with lloyd before, my mutual reminded me of the namaran wall arc where siluria and javier both help lloyd with absorbing the hell knight,,, however the fact that javier's mana components have yet to break the law of causality during this arc, aka he wasnt a grandmaster yet. maybe bc of his status as a grandmaster now, where he has the same otherworldy mana lloyd does, that makes it not possible to properly absorb the mana?

alternatively, javier technically is never fated to die/be transformed in the original story, whereas lloyd should be dead and alicia should be tainted with dark magic, so bc the two of them have warped their fates at the moment, it works? and javier's doesnt bc he's technically not? idk if that makes any sense,,, i was told by my mutual that javier has shared mana with lloyd a lot in the novel before, so i'm not sure why they made this change! i hope they expand on it a lil in the future,,,

also, while i'm yapping here, i like that alicia is straightforward abt what she likes abt lloyd, but i wish they got to have a longer conversation than this,,, like this is a good start but it didn't really go anywhere (besides some really wonderful panels of lloyd but i mean like, narrative-wise lol)

as i mentioned in my last liveblog, alicia and suho share a lot more common experiences than they probably realize! and i think if they got a chance to talk about that, talking about their past circumstances, how they became who they are now, and just more in general on what led alicia to fall for lloyd besides what he's capable of,,, this ship would actually sail pretty well, yknow?

unfortunately though with the pacing of the manhwa and i guess just their episode length requirements in general, it makes sense that they couldn't get to that,,, i just wish it happened,,, maybe in snippets in future episodes? but seeing as we're getting pretty close to the end afaik, the chances are slim

i mainly love llovier but i also really love alilloyd, and i think alilloyd as a whole would have a much better leg to stand on if they actually talked about their experiences and had more instances of saving each other, of supporting each other, the way javier does with lloyd. it's too few and too far between for alicia and lloyd, so it feels like it's flatter than what it could be, y'know?

a part of me hopes that they did get to do that in the novel, but from what i recall hearing, alilloyd didn't have a strong leg in the novel either,,, i distantly recall someone telling me that the manhwa is actually doing alilloyd stronger justice than the novel did (i may be misremembering tho so don't quote me on that lol), and seeing as the manhwa's interpretation of alilloyd is so few and far between as is,,,, it makes me worried that the novel never actually got to touch upon how their relationship evolves (if im wrong, please correct me!!!)

one last thing to mention is just that,,, it seems like theres a mage messing w the weather conditions up in the mountains and i aaaam a lil worried that itll kickstart fate for alicia,,,, esp considering we,,, havent seen worthroad in a while. whatever that guys name was,,, what if its him and he's gonna fuck everything up!?? im really worried for them,,, please be okay,,,

and that's all for this week! i really REALLY enjoyed this episode,,, the panels and art were so so good, and while there were some things i wished would happen i think it was still really good overall, it gave me a lot to talk about! the gags were balanced and their interactions were so fun,,, yay!

And Joel is bloodthirsty sure, but Grian is just as much.It was why they worked so well as reds in last life. And grian kills on green for goodness sake, and he loves the chaos. I once read someone say along the lines of Grian loves the consequences Joel loves the thrill and it's so true. Joel has no self preservation, he would willingly lose himself to the chaos if it meant he felt something. He kills to see his victims' fear so he can feel some semblance of power.

Grian’s the opposite of joel in this regard. Grian will always be his first priority. he's selfish. And he kills not for pleasure but for the sake of it. He kills so he can destroy. but he hates risking himself for it.

ultimately they both want to create chaos, because it is the only thing they know to do. It's the only thing they want to do.

Propaganda Under Cut

Allura

Lots of people (myself included tbh) ship klance (Keith and Lance). In s8 the creators made Allura/Lance canon (but then they killed her off and left the ending ambiguous it was weird). Anyway the fandom treats her like she's the most terrible bitchy woman ever but all she wants to do is end the war and avenge her destroyed home planet. Yeah she wasn't always the nicest or always the best, but you could argue some other characters in the show aren't either and they aren't treated near as bad as allura. people really just hate her bc Lance liked her. I don't think allura/lance are good together, but I still liked her as a character and thought she was interesting and had a lot of growth during the show. she DEF is not evil like some people portray her as in fic or talk about her in captions on posts. I've seen people say that they HATE her and that she's the worst and I'm like ??? let her live (well sort of ig she is dead now). lots of fic writers use her as the villain which is so interesting to me bc the show literally has villains like use them. anyway allura so perfectly fits the bracket description she deserves better.

I hate to acknowledge my time in this fandom but I hate the way the fandom treated her more. Allura was treated like shit no matter what side of the Great Ship War you were on because she was always a threat to the biggest ships (klance and sheith). At best she got put into Background Lesbian or Consolation Prize Shallura (Space Mom-zoned) (She was not a motherly figure btw. She was just Black). At worst she was violently demonized for being ~racist~ (kinda not cool with the alien race that blew up her planet for a few episodes), complete with misogynistic language hurled at her (she got called a bitch sooo much). Allura was a good and cool character and the show did her dirty but the fandom was somehow worse.

i apologise for speaking the dark magicks, but amidst the voltron fandoms many, many transgressions, there were a particular subset of people who just hated this girl. the infamous klance wars of the 2010s kept this perfectly fine childrens cartoon character in the sights of shippers everywhere, and she (and her voice actress im sure) were subjected to years of petty squabble blown up to global perportions. ive seen hate, ive seen rants, ive seen fanfics that made her homophobic. girls been through the ringer, and even though voltron was never the show its fandom wanted it to be, i believe allura deserved better

Kayano Kaede

shes genuinely a really tragic character who had potential for a really compelling, effective arc concerning grief, identity, healing, and finding trust again all while going through the inherent ordeal of being 15 years old….if she werent a female character in a shonen anime 😭😭 instead she gets sidelined during the show up until her big plot twist reveal after which shes immediately sidelined again. whatever i still love her and know her to be a character of all time who has suffered more than jesus. in my experience shes perhaps the female character who like. ive seen most *obsessively* hated due to her “getting in the way” of the ship b/w the male protagonist + deuteragonist (bc of her proximity to the both of them) u woild think shes the devil incarnate and not just. 15 and traumatised 

She had a crush on Nagisa and they kissed and a lot of fans ship him with Karma so theyre mad that Kaede is there. She is super silly and nice but the fandom hates her for standing in the way of karmagisa.

she's a sweet person that was an actor and loves her sister. she is the main love interest of the main character but doesn't interact with him more than most of the other characters for a majority of the story. Often I have seen them removed from the story only to become some homophobic jerk that's desperate for the main characters love instead of letting her keep the good friendship that her and the main character had before the romance.

1. i think my favorite oc to draw changes every now & again, right now its lenarr ÷) i think for the Longest time it was tix but ive been having weird issues drawing him lately for some reason

2. lenarr is Also my favorite design ive ever made….indie is probably my 2nd best. also i know lenarrs design is good bc in like the 8-9yrs ive had him his design has changed exactly Once and it was pretty minor

3. THIS ONES RLLY FUN…theres a couple i wish were real SO BAD. i think my personal favorite episode is either “the curious case of the computer caper” (funny detective cliche episode) OR “carpe diem” (silly bodyswap cliche episode). for actually plot relevant ones i think “piranha (pt 1&2)” is my favorite its pretty good. s2 in general is some of my best work in my personal opinion.. ALSO. “yours mine & mine” is pretty good too its Definitely important especially regarding tixs character + how he thinks. “the letter” is also one i do think abt a decent amount bc i lovie my cutiepoo boyfailure LOL

4. I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP at least plotwise is probably lenarr & tix. its REALLY complex especially in s4. its like. it starts out as kind of like a reluctant mentorship but as the story progresses & they both get to know each other better the relationship gets much more involved and way closer, almost to the point that tix almost cares for lenarr like a “son(??)” even if he's too proud to admit it. ofc this changes temporarily when lenarr realizes tixs Actual motives obviously he feels EXTREMELY betrayed & has to work up to trusting him again. also tix & zachs relationship even before theyre dating is really good…

5. for sibling dynamics i think the most interesting one is indie & her brother…its really complicated especially on indies end bc as much as she Wants to be close with her brother again she cant really forgive him for leaving (this wasnt really anyones fault, it was a really hard situation but indie copes with it by just blaming pèpîne). i think my favorite sibling/family dynamic is either tix & daffy (i have a post somewhere explaining why way more in depth here) or griff and his sisters (i didnt put them on the chart bc i just ran out of room LOL, also theyre only in 2 or 3 episodes). i think lenarr & ruben or tix & daffy are definitely the most important plotwise tho

6. DAFFY IS AWESOME i didnt make her my bff did i think in like 2020 or 2021?? i just like tweaked it a bit to match the artstyle. so huge props to him for the idea & the original design (i have pics of his 1st concepts of her ill post them on here 4 u), shes basically the fucking cornerstone of s5…basically shes hydro & merediths daughter & tixs half-sister. tix does NOT like her at first, its basically the same as how a jealous 7 y/o only child feels when they get a new sibling. although he has his reasons to think that, thats explained in the post i linked. on her dads side she has a close like pseudo-familial relationship with his henchmen, and its similar on her moms side too w/ the castle staff but probably to a lesser extent since its a more “professional” environment. shes very sweet & is basically a 4ft tall puppydoggie..also she & tiabi have a more sibling-like relationship despite daffy technically being tiabis aunt. also i think shed look more similar to her mumma when she grows up…

You weren't entirely sure how Heavy found out, but considering how perceptive he could be, it was no surprise. Maybe he overheard you babbling to yourself? Or he saw the way your eyes lit up over childish things?

Regardless, he knew, but he never approached you about it

However, you didn't miss the way he would check in on you more often. He'd ask if you had eaten, if you'd slept alright - things he didn't normally do.

Eventually, you confronted him, told him about your regression. He listened intently, so much so that you almost thought he was judging you. But at the end of your explanation, he gave you a gentle smile and told you he was glad that you trust him.

Next, for Medic, you didn't exactly plan to tell him. You figured you shouldn't talk to Medic so much when regressed, as sometime he tends to be curious to a fault. You worried he might just sit you down and ask questions you didn't want to answer.

But one day you ended up having no choice to talk with him. It was after you got a scrape on your knee, when Scout accidentally played a little too rough with you. He was really sorry, rushing you to the medbay even though it was just a little scrape.

You were a little stressed on the way there, as you realised you'd probably have to pretend to be big.

When you got there, you tried your hardest to hide that you were regressed, but Medic saw right through it. He looked over at Scout, who seemed way too worried for a little scrape.

"Schatz, you are younger now, are you not?"

You were a little taken aback, but you nodded sheepishly

"I see. Well, don't worry about that, your little scrape will be gone in no time."

He was very sweet as he tended to your injury, telling you how everything will be okay and praising you for how you handled it.

You figured that maybe Heavy told him. Those two seemed very close after all, so much so that there was a rumour they were dating!

After this, you weren't nervous to talk to him when regressed, and he'd do his best to entertain your silly conversation starters.

But after his doves started taking a liking to you?

You were really starting to grow on him.

One night, you were having dinner with the other mercs. Most of them had finished eating or just took their food to eat somewhere else, leaving you at a table alone with Heavy and Medic.

You had something to say, but chose to wait for Medic to finish what he was talking about.

He was talking.

And talking.

And talking.

When eventually, you decided to speak up and get his attention.

"Mom?"

They both turned to you, confused.

You paused, realising what you said, before scrambling to correct yourself.

"MEDIC. Medic. I meant Medic-"

Fortunately, Medic and Heavy seemed to find it rather amusing.

"Yes, mein Täubchen?"

Heavy didnt say anything, but he was smiling.

Parent moment part 2

Another day you were regressed and fumbling as you tried to open a bottle, but it just wouldn't budge !

Medic approached you and gave you a warm smile. "Let Mama help you with that."

You stared at him confused and surprised, but in a good way.

He sorta just held his chin in thought, going, "hmm, ok actually, I'd prefer to be Papa. Wait but- Heavy is already Papa."

You were so confused. "What do you mean, Medic?"

He ended up just coming clean and telling you that he and Heavy had considered a child in the distant future. So if you were ok with it, they'd be happy to take care of you when you were little.

He seemed a little nervous, he was scared you'd say no and he'd just made a fool of himself.

But you were so happy and hugged him !! You told him that, yes, you'd be okay with it !

He was so excited and had to stop himself from immediately running off to tell Heavy.

Anyways Heavy and Medic are your dads now. Later, Medic said that Heavy could be Papa, and he could be Paps!

Sleepytime

One night, you felt all restless. Knowing you needed company, you pondered.

Paps was usually always up late, but it felt like he always had some work or another to do. In that case, he might not be free to give you cuddles.

But Papa ? Maybe he could give you big warm bear cuddles to put you to sleep.

So your little feet took you as far as they would carry you, all the way into Heavy's room. You knocked, not waiting for a response before walking in.

"Papa," you mumbled.

You saw a big Heavy-shaped lump under the covers, and a smaller one beside him.

"Paps?"

You watched as the bigger lump shifted as Heavy sat up a little. He rubbed his eyes as he looked at you, his voice low with grogginess. "You cannot sleep?"

"Mhm." You twiddled your thumbs nervously, realising you forgot to bring your plushie.

Heavy laid back down and shifted backwards a little, so there was space between him and Medic. He patted the empty space. "Come."

Relieved, you eagerly joined them, making yourself comfortable in the warm space between them. You felt yourself sinking into the bed, having your Papa and Paps close helping you feel safe.

From behind you, Medic's warm arm gave you a big hug, as if you were a little sized plushy!

Heavy let you hold onto his hand, as if to make up for the stuffie you left in your room.

Uppies

Sometimes Medic just scoops you up out of nowhere because you're too adorable!

When he carries you, he likes to pick you up with one arm supporting your back, and the other supporting your bum. Like his arms are a chair!

Sometimes his doves come and land on your head and on his shoulders, and now there's a little dove party.

Heavy on the other hand likes to hold you like a baby, with his upper arm supporting the back of your head. He'll rock you a little and its surprisingly calming.

He's perceptive of how you feel, so when you're upset he might just pick you up without a word and start rocking you. He might even sing little songs for you while he's at it.

Both of them are quite strong and could carry you just fine !

Playing Doctor

You were with Medic in the medbay as he worked away at paperwork. The room was silent apart from the sound of pen on paper, as well as the ticking of the clock and occasional noises of his doves.

You peeked over at him. "Paps?"

He continued to scribble away, only sparing you a glance. "Not now, mein Täubchen, Paps is busy."

You pouted, marching away to search for things to do. You watched as Archimedes flew by over your head, before landing on a coathanger. His feet were perched comfortably on Medic's lab coat, almost like he was trying to tell you an idea.

You scurried over to Archimedes, getting on your tippy toes to take the coat off the hanger and putting it on with a giggle. Archimedes landed on your shoulder and cooed at you.

Medic's voice chimed in again from his table, his eyes still locked on the papers. "Ya, Archimedes, keep my little one company until I'm done, ok?"

Archimedes replied by flying over to a drawer on the other side of the room and perching on the handle. Curiously, you followed him and opened it, and you were met with a pouch. With a zip, you opened it up and saw a stethoscope. You glanced over at Medic, figuring he wouldn't mind, before putting the buds in your ear and holding up the diaphragm to Archimedes. You could clearly hear the ba-thump, ba-thump, ba-thump of his little bird heart, causing you to stare in awe and amazement.

You eventually put the stethoscope back into the bag and closed the drawer, walking around for something else to do. You turned the corner, and your eyes found the medigun.

You ran back to look at Medic. "Paps, can-"

"Ya, alright." He hadn't looked up still.

But you figured, he said yes! You ran back to the medigun, Archimedes following curiously. You carefully tried picking up the medigun, but it was much much heavier than it looked! Medic made it look so light! You wrapped your arms around it, barely managing to lift it up, before tumbling backward !

But your back was not met with cold, hard floor, but it was met with a big and warm arm. The hand took the medigun from you, and without even looking at the person's face, could recognize who it was immediately. "Papa!"

Heavy put the medigun back where it belonged, putting a hand on your back. You realised you must've been very focused to not notice him come in. "Are you ok?"

You nodded. "Mhm."

"Good. Be more careful next time."

Medic's voice called from around the corner. "Heavy?"

"Yes, Doctor." Heavy turned to you, smiling. "You look good in Doctor's coat."

You beamed, puffing your chest out proudly.

"Come, we show Medic."

You both walked over to him, finally managing to get his attention as he gave you a heartfelt grin at the sight of you wearing his coat.

It was clearly way too big for you. He glanced at his papers again, letting out a sigh as he couldn't help himself from getting up so he could pick you up and spin you.

Goodnight Kisses

You were clinging to Heavy like a koala as he tried to put you into bed. "M wanna stay with Papa!"

"Papa is busy," Heavy stated simply, giving you a kiss on the forehead, "you must rest now."

this is entirely possible i did get inspired by asks (my memory is terrible lmao) but a lot of the asks do get me thinking more deeply about certain aspects of the fic that help me down interesting paths in the story. tbh i needed pete to be caught dressed as tankhun by the russians for the future parts to unfold later and when i started thinking a bit more about korn and kan's upbringing and if there might have been things they were jealous of/ fighting with each other over the original ring just became a part of that. esp since theres themes of generational trauma in this fic so it was easy to imagine their father being kind of a dick as much as they now are to their own children, so of course he would have intentionally denied them the ring and made it into such a big deal that they decided to make their own copies instead out of spite- but still never measuring up to his expectations lol irony.

yeah nah i get that vibe it does seem almost silly to put such importance into the rings as status symbols because theyre not doing that much otherwise. omg vegas being so embarrassing and trying to flaunt pete around at the club in front of all of his exes and the people who know him and hate him and then also at the same time being super jealous when they hit on him lmao. hes like i got me a baddie dont even try to steal him from me. yes it is a little heartbreaking that scene tbh because we've seen them flirt of course but we haven't seen very much of them being truly playful with one another. so it especially sucks that the arrival of the russians ruined that for them- and omg yeah so embarrassing for pete to be caught doing that since he's a pretty reserved kind of person in comparison to vegas.

yesssssssss they are really figuring it out together now!!! they are starting to grow into a couple and are having the kind of normal conversations now where they try and learn more about each other. things have really gotten so much better after they've built a foundation of trust first. things were never going to get off the ground without that- even with pete still being in denial/ hesitant to fully give himself over to vegas. but this chap is so good with showing how comfortable and domestic they are with each other now its wild. and yes their connection is growing deeper and deeper- to the point that pete isnt going to be able to hide what this is from himself for much longer. we are seeing all the cracks starting to show from that already because pete is slowly falling in love!!!!

oh don't be nervous about that!!! tbh this fic is entirely driven by all of the interpersonal drama of their relationship-like the plot is there of course but the focus is in the day to day of their interactions and how theyre beginning to cross that divide from prisoner/ jailer to committed and generous lovers. theres going to be a bit of tension in their relationship before they figure it out but theyre not at risk of destroying everything- because that's not the point of the story. like i have no intention of unnecessary angst or killing one of them off or anything like that- they are going to get that happy ending even if it kills me lmao so dont be too worried about what could go wrong!! eyes youre so right they will defs be unstoppable in future!!

the plot was… odd. every actor was amazing, the visuals were amazing, the jokes were hilarious, every episode was extremely enjoyable to watch… but it just felt a little half-baked to me. every scene was tight and again, really fun, but the overarching plot was kind of…??? i’m not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination but i’m allowed to have an opinion, and my opinion is pretty damn mixed when it comes to the season arc. there’s obviously going to be a season 3 (i say, literally begging neil gaiman on my knees while screaming and sobbing) and so i think season 2 felt so slow and uneventful because it’s supposed to be a kind of bridge between big plotlines. because so much interesting stuff was picked up and then simply put down again. or kind of just… left to float aimlessly in the air and make me confused as to why and how some of it even happened. but honestly i trust neil and the other writers and creatives so… season 3 here we come! overall i really enjoyed it a lot, but the (modern day) plot was just a bit of a weird one for me
