✯ EVERYWHERE ✯

Summary: Sirius has a new found hatred for the new girl at hogwarts, or in other words…you.
Warnings: cursing, not many, it’s mostly just sirius being annoying😭
Author’s Note: might make this a series, I’m not sure yet…but there will definitely be a part two. If you couldn’t tell, I adore Hogwarts legacy and I thought it would be cute to add that into this fic. If the timeline doesn’t make sense don’t come for me, this is just for fun!!😭 also side note, anything not in italics is narration, the italics are flashbacks which tell the story.
—✯
Sirius Black had been far too lucky as of late. He wasn’t sure when it started, this twist of luck he had acquired, but he was sure the start had something to do with y/n Sallow, and her arrival at Hogwarts. That was two years ago, and somehow all of the troubles he used to feel had slipped from his shoulder with the gentle breeze she brought onto campus. She had transferred from the basic education school she attended in Wales in their 5th year of school, quickly catching everyone’s attention with her talent and wit. Having lived with her Grandfather half her life, and in a girls home the other half, both her and the boys were pleasantly surprised with her arrival late into their Hogwarts education. Since she missed so many years of magic, she was assigned a magic tutor from her class, which of course had to be the top of the class from the previous year; Remus Lupin.
—✯
“Oh come on mate, this is ridiculous!” Sirius grumbled, trailing behind Remus as brunette rolled his eyes, making his way through the school while trying to ignore his raven haired counter part. “You’re gonna miss our entire study hall. James and I were gonna make a poly juice potion and tell Snape he had to retake Care for Magical Creatures. Remember when that Puffskein stuck it’s tongue up his nose?” Sirius chuckled. “He made Madam Pomfrey flush his slug nose twice before trying to drop the class.”
Remus couldn’t help but chuckle at the memory, shaking his head.
“That was good. But hey I mean you guys can do it on your own. McGonagall said this could give me extra credit.”
“Oh posh, what extra credit do you need. You want a one hundred and ten in Transfiguration?”
“Her names y/n Sallow, and Professor Dumbledore even gave her full access to the room of requirements for extra practice. This could be good for me, maybe you could even join. Teach you and extra thing or two from when you’re throwing whizz-bangs in class.”
“Whatever mate. No broad is worth the time away from your friends.”
—✯
It started as a rivalry. Sirius had decided that he hated y/n l/n. Not only did she take Remus away from their prancing time, but she had exclude access to the Room of requirement. Not like she needed it. The second Sirius found out about the new girl in school, he made it his mission to find out any and all secrets she might have. She couldn’t be trusted, of course Sirius knew this, which is why he followed her footsteps closely on the Marauders Map. The first time he had found her in an unauthorized underground location, it took him a few days to build up the confidence to follow her footsteps.
—✯
“Inferio!” Y/n shouted, a blast of bright red light shooting from her wand, as the torch hanging from the ceiling light up in fire. Inferio? Now, sirius May had been aloof during charms as of late, but he sure didn’t remember learning that one.
“Damnit!” She cursed, quickly firing another charm to quickly extinguish the fire that was growing in the far corner. Sirius’ eyes widened as he crept into the room. He was lucky to have slipped in behind her, stealing James’ invisibility cloak so he could do so. She mumbled some sort of code under her breath before making her way down into the hidden room.
“Bloody hell?” Sirius mumbled, quickly covering his mouth as y/n snapped her head around.
“Hello? Who’s there?” She yelled, holding up her wand to brace herself.
“Shit shit shit,” Sirius cursed, trying to hurry towards the exit. Now, it would probably have benefited him to somehow clip the cloak in place, to prevent what was about to happen from happening, but Sirius couldn’t be bothered to do so.
“Sirius?” Y/n called, surprised by the boys presence. Sirius whipped his head around, the bottom half of his body hidden under the cloak, only his head floating around. Y/n chuckled, looking Sirius up and down. His face turned bright red, as he glanced down to see his body was gone. He rolled his eyes.
“It’s not funny.” He grumbled, and she kept laughing.
“It kinda is.”
He scoffed, pulling the cloak fully off. He huffed in annoyance as he picked it up and turned to leave.
“You followed me down here?” She called, making Sirius turn around and glare at her, holding up the marauders map that was rolled up in his hand.
“You were going off grid on the map.”
“So you stalked me?” She raised an eyebrow at him. “A little strange don’t you think?” She asked, causing Sirius to scoff again, stomping his foot on the ground.
“So, what, okay, a hidden underground room isn’t?” he whined.
“Undercroft.” She said shortly, Sirius furrowing his eyebrows as his eyes narrowed in on her.
“What’d you just call me?” He asked, making her let out a frustrated huff, gesturing around the room.
“It’s called, the Undercroft. My great grandfather found it years ago. It’s been in the family since, no one else knows of it.”
“Ha. I do I know.” Sirius teased, making y/n roll her eyes at him.
“Congrats, do you want a medal?” She asked sarcastically, and he huffed agrily.
“What are you even doing here?”
“It’s a good spot to practice my magic. Considering it’s been lost from me most of my life. The code to get in is Sallow-Gaunt.” Sirius was about to say something again, before y/n interrupted him. “And don’t try Alohomora, it won’t work.”
He raised his eyebrows, looking at her with confusion as she turned to keep practicing her spells.
“You’re telling me the code, and exactly how to get in?”
“I didn’t tell you anything.” She teased as she turned to face him, making Sirius even more confused than he had been.
“But you just…”
“And if you tell anyone else, I use that spell you watched me preform 3 times.” She raised an eyebrow at him, as he pointed at the door, confused as to how she was aware of his presence.
“How’d you know I was here that long?”
“There’s a reason why this place doesn’t show up on the map.” She said, ignoring his question. He come up to her, shaking his head as he grew more frustrated.
“But everything’s on the map, it’s a flawless system.” He explained, waving said flawless system angrily in his hands. She shook her head.
“Not the Undercroft.”
—✯
There were 4 times Sirius aproached the clock-the entrance to the Undercroft- and only once did he actually go inside. First and for most, Sirius was almost positive the code y/n gave him was false information; he was a master pranker, he’s given false codes before in his life. The first time was a quick come and go. He came up to the clock, looking around to be sure no one saw him, and waved his wand twice to try and unlock the door. “Alohamora won’t work,” Rang in his head like bells. He had heard her correctly, but he wanted to prove her wrong. Low and behold, it didn’t in fact work, and instead Sirius recieved a few dirty looks for trying to unlock a clock on the wall, and decided to quickly leave with his tail tucked behind his legs.
The second time Sirius visited the clock, he couldn’t seem to remember the code he was told. Sallow he remembered, it was her name so that part was easy. But the second line, a name he’s never heard before. He tried everything, Glum, Geltum, he even said Potter a few times shamelessly in hopes it would eventually work. It didn’t-to no surprise-and for the second time Sirius fled the scene with a scowl on his face.
Now the third time he stayed the longest. He had brought both James and Remus with him, after pestering the boys with talk of the Undercroft, and secret codes. The three boys followed the map all night, but there was still no sign of the secret room Sirius spoke. The other Marauders thought he must had lost his mind; certainly his hatred for this new girl was reaching new heights.
—✯
“Because I tutor the girl Sirius, that’s how I know.” Remus grumbled in response to Sirius’ nagging. He had been os entirely convinced that this new girl must have been bad news. In the past few weeks since he had been tutoring her, Remus Lupin had grown quite fond of y/n Sallow. They had a special kind of connection; both having been split from their families and put in childrens homes. Remus found y/n to be a nice break from the craziness that came with the marauders boys, and quite frankly, Sirius’ hatred for the girl bothered him.
“I’m telling you moony, she’s dangerous. She knows these spells that I’ve never even heard of before, I’m sure it’s dark magic.” He ranted, making James look over confused. He had been zoning out, which he usually did when Sirius went off on a tangent, but dark magic seemed to snap him back in.
“Dark magic? That’s a serious accusation pads are you sure about that one?” James asked, causing Sirius to jump up with anticipation.
“Yes! She spoke some curse and suddenly fire was shooting from her wand!”
“You mean Inferio?” Remus asked, having recognized the fire spell from when he read ahead on charms.
“Yes! Inferio!” Sirius shouted, pointing excitedly at Remus.
“Huh, impressive.” Remus said to himself, earning a nod from James as Sirius looked around shocked.
“Impressive!? It’s dangerous, she’s dangerous.”
“We aren’t even supposed to learn Inferio until 7th year. She’s ahead of the game.” James nudged Remus. “She should be tutoring you Moons.” Both boys laughed as Sirius continued to jump up and down, slapping a hand on both boys shoulders to catch their attention.
“Boys you aren’t listening to me! This room, it’s not even on the map.”
“Our map?” James asked, never having seen a room off grid besides The Room of Requirements.
“Yes, our map of the entire campus of Hogwarts, and more. Nowhere does it show this Undercroft she speaks of.” Sirius rambled, causing Remus to scrunch up his face with confusion.
“Are you sure this was some underground room, I mean…maybe she was in the room of requirements and you mixed up the location.”
“No, I’m telling you.” Sirius shouted, shaking Remus aggressively. “Come on, I’ll show you.” He grabbed both boys' wrists, pulling them to the clock.
“Here. Right here, it was this clock right here.” Sirius shouted, causing James and Remus to share a confused look.
“This old thing? This clock has been here since the 1800s, it doesn’t even work anymore.”
“Exactly, now isn’t that a little strange that they kept a clock in here that doesn’t work?”
“From what I heard it’s a gift from one of the Hogwarts families. A, Versilius Gaunt. According to History of Magic he was a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin.” James explained, examining the clock to find not a single thing out of place.
“Gauntt…that’s it!” Sirius said to himself, remembering the code now to the door.
“Yeah, his portraits hung up in the Slytherin Common Room. Alongside the rest of the family.” James said, shuddering at the thought of the Slytherin common room. Sirius froze, looking at the clock as he grew quieter then before.
“You alright Padss…Sirius?” Remus asked, patting a hand on his shoulder as Sirius nodded.
“Yeah, I’m alright. Why don’t you boys get to transfiguration. I’ll meet you there.” Sirius explained, waving the boys away. They both looked at each other then back to Sirius with concern.
“Minnie’s gonna kill you for being late?” James said, chuckling to himself as Sirius scoffed.
“Yeah, how many times is that now, 8?” Sirius asked, making James shove him.
“Exactly, now she’ll have to kill you nine times. You're a dog Pads, not a cat.” Now Sirius shoved him back, making both boys chuckle.
“Haha very funny. Get to class.”
“We’ll meet you there.” Remus said, smiling as the two walked away.
“See ya.” Sirius called out, before turning back to the clock.
The name repeated in his head. Gaunt gaunt gaunt gaunt. Sallow-Gaunt. He contemplated walking in, spoke the beginning name and then froze. He said Sallow six times before he gave up trying to follow through. He wasn’t sure why, but something inside him was keeping him away. Not enough to stop trying, but enough to keep him out. Maybe because there was a chance that she could be inside, and well, there’s no way in Sirius’ mind that that instance would go down well. So he stood, and stared at the unchanging hands on the clock, and then he left. Professor McGongall informed Sirius he was now up to ten times killed for missing class.

ੈ✩‧₊˚ 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ in which no girl has even looked his way so what makes him think you will. he's just not getting the hint that you want him to have little taste of your love
❈ warning: f!reader, college au, mutual & m!masterbation, fingering, praise, pet names, hair pulling?, teasing, he's like kinda subby at first then dom teehee, porn with plot. wc: 3.5k
❈ notes: i changed the concept oops, idk maybe ill write a fratboy!gojo fic later, idk my friend was talking about how they dislike a playboy gojo so shoulder shrug. likes and reblogs r much appreciated mwahh anyway please enjoy my official first piece !
its not like he was hated, not at all. its just he never stood out and was never labeled anything more than basic. he just wanted to get through his college life peacefully. he didn't need those parties that lasted till 2am or those saturday night hookups which would leave him heart broken. sure he's had friends talk to him here and there, but he would never get super personal with anyone, ever.
it was a study hall in a library where there should’ve been just silent but instead, there would be students gossiping or making out in such a public place. how vulgar. he wasn't a nerd either, just an average guy honestly. he was finishing up notes that he could use for his next unit test, until the aroma of warm vanilla and marshmallows filled his nose, he usually wouldn't look, but he couldn't help it since it was right next to him. you were right next to him.
he slowly turned towards you and was met with such a winning smile with your head tilted and hand under your chin. your eyes were staring right at him like you were trying to see through his own eyes. you had the cutest cheeks he's ever planted his eyes on, they were just a little rosy and rose just a bit when you smiled at him. and your lips, they were beautifully plump with a little shine from your gloss and it was moving–shit you were talking and soon he was convinced. he's never had a taste of love like this before or ever.
“hello? i asked if we had biology together?” there was a concern look on your face, he snapped out of his thoughts and looked anywhere else besides your face. “uh i’m not to sure..” he responds with his hand reaching to the back of his neck, god you must think he's such a big loser cause of course he wouldn't know, all he does is keep his eyes down at his paper or at the floor.
a sign of nervousness. how cute you thought. you knew satoru was in your class, of course you did, ever since you transferred all you wanted was a new start and to live out your life so you did that, went to any party possible and made as many friends as you could while sticking with old ones. but there's one thing you wouldn't do and that was to let just any guy to have a taste of your love, you were gonna be in the one to control who you want to love and such and you chose him. gojo satoru.
“gojo right? i’ve definitely seen you around, you feed those cute cats behind the building!” you exclaimed, way louder than he would've liked and loud enough to make his ears red. “uhm yeah..look are you following me around for fun or something because there are more entertaining things to do.” he suddenly felt discouraged like he wants to cry or never find someone attractive again.
“no no no, of course not! that was just by coincidence and since then i kinda told myself ‘i have to get to know such a cute and sweet guy.’” you said smiling ever so sweetly. what did you just say? cute? sweet? he's never seen himself in such way nor has anybody else, maybe when he helps the old ladies open the door or when his friends sees adorable baby photos of him, but he's never felt these kinds of butterflies about it before.
“you-you think im cute?” he turned towards you again to see if there was any sign of jokingly behavior, but no, you were being genuine. “yeah i do. i’m y/n, i think i need to be caught up on stuff in biology and you seem pretty smart so maybe if you wanna stop by my dorm sometime and help out i would totally appreciate it, im in room 318 in wing c.” you informed, you were starting to feel a little nervous now cause what if he thought you were just messing with him or gave him stalker vibes, you didn't want that at all.
yes. a million times yes. he thought, he got so excited that he all of sudden stood up, giving you quite a shock, but made you giggle a little and he found his favorite sound ever. “yes i will..i mean i will take you up on that offer. is there a certain time or day you'd like me to go over?” he asked, he didn't think you guys were gonna be at that point where he could just go into your room anytime soon. “hmm doesn't matter to me, i’m never really busy.” you shrugged and now he's thinking of showing up tomorrow morning, but soon he’s interrupted by an alarm on your phone.
“shit! i’ve got lessons, here,” you grabbed a pen off of his notebook and wrote your number in the corner with a little heart. “now you should contact me whenever. i’ll see you around.” you smiled and wave then left the library while adjusting your tote bag on your shoulder. gojo put your number in his phone as soon as he could, in case he forgot of course, but how could he? you've made his day maybe his whole week–hell his entire month. he gathered up his stuff and walked to his dorm quickly.
he searched for his keys in this bag which were usually hung on his tiny key chain that geto gave him, he likes to deny him and gets undying friendship, in reality he was his best friend and almost brother, but gojo denies it all. he opens the door and expects to see geto laying on the couch with a bag of chips on the couch and a Red Bull on the little coffee table, but no there was a small post, which geto stole from satorus room of course, it on the fridge saying ‘heyy im out to go bang a super hot chick from wing b, she's so hot and let me tell you when her boobs were bigger than my hands, i had to get in on that lmaoooo see ya tmrw - super hot playboy sugaru’ gojo had to blink of couple times until he reacted to it, he gagged with disgust and rolled his eyes, ripped off the note and threw it in the trash.
geto was almost the opposite of gojo, get had plenty of people follow him, guys he played sports with and some who just thought he was cool and wanted to tag along, there were girls too and they had the smallest articles of clothing and would throw themselves onto geto, it was almost like geto was some kind of cult leader. gojo chuckled at the thought, no way. what makes geto different is that he was kind and acknowledged everyone around him.
gojo opened the door, turned on the lights and set his glasses on the table, grabbed some clothes that looked comfy and made his way to the bathroom to take a shower early since he ended sweating lots more than he usually would. after a half hot half cold shower since college bathing is shit he decided he would order some KFC knowing geto wouldn't be here to steal everything in the bag. gojo knew it was gonna take a while so he went into his room, closed door and lights off. some him time after a long day of classes.
soon satoru got curious, he was thinking back on gets note, did you know him?hes quite popular so maybe, but you were new so he was conflicted. gojo opened his instagram that he barely uses and only got it cause geto forced him to, but he logged onto his account with only 14 followers and got to searching, he went to gets that he has around 10 times more followers than gojo, but he doesn't mind since he doesn't even post anything. he went to search for your name in getos follower list and there you were, gojo felt his heart leap out of his chest of what? he doesn't know just yet. he's excited he found your account even if its a bit stalkerish, but you followed geto so were you using him to get with his roommate. he hopes not, he prays not.
with trembling fingers he pressed your account, he examined your account. your profile picture was a cute mirror picture with a white sweater on and studying something and you used a table mirror to take the picture, it was so cute, he moved onto to your recent post and he felt his heart drop even farther down and his eyes slightly widen. its you, of course, in a tiny blue swimsuit a two piece to be specific.
there's three different photos, one of them is you closing your eyes with your knees bent onto the sand and hands cupping your own face and squishing your breast together, it must be unintentional, it has to be because gojo wouldn't know what to do with himself if it was on purpose almost like you knew he was gonna see this and get the hardest boner he's ever received in his life, he swiped to the left, not to exit but to look at the next picture. you're by the shore now and it looks like you're walking with a hand out and another holding your hat to cover your face and finally the last one. youre in the water just above thigh length and you're facing the sunset and your ass is on full display.
gojo couldn't do it anymore, either he was to go throw his phone away and take another cold shower or die because you were just so breathtaking, he scrolled to the first one and he didn't mean to look at your breast, but he didn't and then getos note came into mind again, damn geto, could his hands fit over your boobs? he had to do something about his problem. with his phone in one hand and his other snaking down to pull down his sweatpants, his dick was already leaked with precut ever since he found your account.
he used his thumb to spread the precut around tip to down to the base then back up. his mind was racing and imagining how would you play with his cock. would you make him beg for it? edge him over and over again until there's tears pooling in his eyes? or maybe you would make his sit on his knees like how are in that first pic and make him eat you out without any hands as you play with his cock and just use him as you please. all these fantasies has made his hand speed up and his groans louder now becoming words as he gets lost into wanting you so badly. “f-fuck..wanna cum inside you, baby.” he threw his head back and soon dropped his phone not even caring if it broke. his other hand ran through his hair then moved it down to his chest where he played with his nipples over his shirt, he's never masterbaited like this before, never with this much emotion.
he was so close, pants and boxers by his ankles and the ends of his shirt caught in between his teeth. he wasn't taking it slow anymore, he just wanted to cum and the shlick slapping noises have just gotten wetter and almost heavier. he was pinching and pulling on his nipples now, they're both red and swollen, but it only adds to his pleasure. his face was red with blush and sweat built up on his forehead while moaning and whimpering your name over and over again like a prayer. would you moan his name like this? imagine you getting lost into so much pleasure where your toes are curled and eyes are crossed and screaming his name with moans followed right after, oh to make you feel that good. it got him painting his hand white and your name on his tongue. he felt his breath staggering back to normal as he cleaned up and when he completely snapped back into reality he wondered how was he supposed to face you.
its been 2 weeks, 5 days, 6 hours, and 27 minutes since gojo spoke to you. of course you've tried to say something to him, but he gets all flustered and leave or ignore you if he must. its really throwing you off so you text him. “hey gojo! could u come over and help me over this unit, but if ur busy that's ok, i don't wanna bother u. just lmk! <3” and sent, you hope your words can convince him to stop whatever phase he is in to talk to you.
gojo is sitting on his bed with his glasses off and hands on his face. what was he supposed to do? you sounded so distressed and he wants to help you, he truly does, but how can he face you when he's done something so lewd. ok fuck it, he has a plan he’ll result to pointing and yes and nos that's easy enough. he grabbed his textbooks and shoved them in his bag and rushed out the door and storming over to your room.
around 20 minutes later he's appeared in front of your door with three quick and panicked knocks. when you open the door you can see his face flushed with red from speed walking his way here and his breath is heavy. you say something first “i didn't know you were coming, i would've changed.” you joked, maybe lighting the mood would make him feel better, but all he did was scan you from your brown slippers to your biker shorts and at your black bra and he gulped “would you like to come in?” you asked him and he nodded.
this was getting quite annoying. you didn't really need to study since you were pretty smart anyway, but your love for gojo hasn't left at all, you still find him the sweetest guy ever and really adorable and you thought inviting him over would settle things, but the tension only grew. until you stood up and asserted your dominance.
“okay satoru, i don't know what's been going on with you or why you won't talk to me at all, but if i did something im sorry and if i didn't then what the fuck! i feel like im putting all this effort to be with you and you all of sudden don't give a shit about me!” you shouted almost on the verge of tears. it wasn't your first round of rejection, but to be ignored and humiliated like this was a first and you hated it and felt strong urges to just punch his face if he continued to portray this silent treatment.
“i..i uh” he stutters, god you can feel tears dripping down your face. “do you hate me or something?!” you asked, not even caring if the neighbors next door are listening in. “no! i don't, its just..i really like you and i don't want be a loser in front of you and i was stalked your instagram and ended up jerking off to one of your photos and im sorry!” he confessed with a panicked expression. why did he admit that? his confession was also lame as fuck? was he in middle school? gojo felt so light headed suddenly and closed his eyes shut and braced himself for a punch anywhere on his body and he held his face.
he's never felt such way for someone before and this time it was his fault that they were gonna walk away. he hates himself so much right now and wishes he wasn't some weird loser kid and wishes he was someone more popular, more social, more like geto.
when he peered through his fingers he saw your face and you were..laughing? why? he just told you the most shameful things he's done in his life and you laugh. “sorry sorry, you know because its you i don't mind.” you blush a little while wiping your tears. “and i like you too if you couldn't tell..” you mumbled, finally gaining eye contact with him. he's looking down and playing with his fingers, he's confessed to girls before, but for someone else to want him first. it makes his self confidence sky rocket honestly.
“im still sorry for what i did, but can i ask you for something?” he asked, you nodded slowly, truly having no idea on what it is, “can i kiss you?” he asked shyly and you didn't even responded, you couldn't tell what was moving faster, your mind racing a million times per hour or feet rushing to put your lips on his. it was nowhere close to shy or calm. it was kiss full of madness, want, lust, and love. with noses colliding teeth clashing with one another, and tongues only making the kiss less collective and messy.
you grabbed his hand and led him into your bedroom without breaking off the kiss, you locked the doors and turned off the lights only leaving your little yellow lamp on your table as a light source. “off. i wanna see you.” he said his voice hoarse from being breathless while trying to rush you, you worked as quick as you could only for satoru to help you as you shoved your pants off he got your top and latched his mouth onto one of perky nips and playing with the other, he closed his eyes and moaned loudly without any shame which caused vibrations through your body adding to the pleasure. “satoru, baby lemme make you feel good too, please.” you moaned softly while trying to get his pants off, anything to return this favor of lust, he pulled off for a split second just to take his shirt off and as soon as that was off he continued ti mark your body with big red splotches that will soon turn people in due time and all over your neck and finally his pants came out and before you could make a move on him, he grabbed your hands
“show me. right now how you play with yourself. put a show on come on.” he encouraged, letting your hands go then peeling off his boxers, slowly moving his wrists up and down his leaking dick. while watching him it felt like your mind was on autopilot, you slipped off your panties and gathered some wetness that has been developed from the kissing and such. you didn't care that you making a mess everywhere, spreading your juices all over your already drenched until you stick a finger in, moaning so light almost with a relief cause the sensation was just so good. then another one, but it wasn't enough your fingers couldn't reach into the deep spots your toys usually could, but why do you need it when you have one right in front of you. with his mouth agape and his abdomen flexing and a flush covering his entire body, to the tip of his cock to the blades of his shoulder. “t-toru s’not enough. want your dick now.” you whined, wording slurring as your brain turned into mush.
his eyes traveled down to your messy cunt and there was a faint smirk on his face. “oh needy little thing, you want me to help you out, sweetheart. you gotta open those cute legs of yours further then.” he said letting go of his crimsoned tip cock and taking the fingers that were in your pussy to spread them farther and when he saw the sight, he felt the wind knocked out of his chest. all he could do was stare. “stop looking, ‘s embarrassing” you mumbled looking away, honestly the fire in the bottom of your stomach only grew as he continued to play with your pretty little pussy.
he moved your fingers away as he plunged his own right in without an ounce of hesitation. he wasn't being gentle at in nor nice. he wasn't your toy, you were his and he loved it like that. “ill look if i wanna, ‘s mine now isn't it? tell me, pretty girl, who's your cute lil pussy gushing all over for?” he was merciless and he didn't hold back, not at all. “you! satoru! its yours, ‘m all yours, please wanna cum!” you were so close, moans only got louder and higher in octaves at that point, “’s lucky you're so cute, cum for me, baby.” he says leaning in to kiss you and your swollen lips from deep heavy kisses and from biting on it to keep quiet, though it didn't work in the slightest. he moved his head down back to your neck, he loves this taste of you and he’ll never ever get enough.

Pairings: James Patrick March x Female!Reader
Warnings: Blood. Knives. Violence. Death. Alcohol. Smoking. Bondage. Sexual harassment. James Patrick March.
Summary: Y/N got killed by Mr. March. Oops.
A/N: First time writing here. Open for requests. English is not my first language, so there must be some mistakes. It is probably not worth reading, but I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you want something particular next time. <3
Death. The smell that appeared disturbing and exciting at the same time. Death was in the walls, in beds, in the air. Palace of Hell. A place for Sin. Home for Lost Souls. Torture chambers. The Great Hotel Cortez.
It was about 5 pm when I checked in. Mesmerizing sunset. The harbinger of night.
“It’s your first time here, isn’t it, dear?” The receptionist lady looked at me head to toe and smiled.
“Yes, you are right.”
“Wonderful, I hope you will like it here. Let me show you your room.”
We walked toward the elevator and arrived at the 7th floor. Dimly lighted halls with red carpets kept secrets and I almost felt their mystery on my skin. The air was heavy, filled with the sins of this place.
“Room 68, dear. - she gave me the keys.”
“Thank you, Mrs…”
“Taylor. Liz Taylor” She smiled. “You can call me Liz dear.”
I nodded and inserted the key into the door lock.
“Oh, by the way,” Liz stopped and turned to me again. “I hope to see you at the bar later, I make exquisite filthy martinis.”
“You can rely on me.” I smiled.
She walked away and the echo of her shoes was haunting my ears for past half an hour. The room was cozy, almost luxurious. Looked like the style of the Roaring 20s with all dark and gold colors and Art Deco furniture. I unpacked my suitcase and looked at the clock. 7 pm. I fixed my makeup and got dressed in a red club dress with a black leather jacket. I was tired, bored, and uninspired. I haven’t written a word for a week and this writer’s block really got me in a chokehold. So I left the room with a certain goal. To get drunk and have fun.
I decided to explore my floor a bit. The massive window at the end of the hall had no view. Well, the view to an abandoned building and a dirty valley. Cute. I wandered through the halls and felt the power of these walls. I felt the danger, the alluring atmosphere. I thought that I was smelling the metallic sense of blood.
“My, my.” I gasped at the sound of the male voice behind me. “Perhaps you are lost, my dear”
He looked oddly handsome. Tall. Dark hair. Perfect black suit. Pencil moustache. Dark piercing eyes.
“I am not. Thank you. Just… walking around.”
He studied me. Watched me intently, like a predator hunting down its prey.
“Well, I could take you on a tour if… if you want, of course.” He smiled charmingly. “Such a beautiful lady like yourself shouldn’t walk in the evening hours alone.”
“I don’t even know you.”
“Where are my manners? Accept my apologies darling, my name is James Patrick March.” He kissed my hand gently. “I am the owner of this fine establishment.” He knocked on the nearest wall.
“The owner? How… convenient.” I turned to him, looking him up and down.
He chuckled. God, his deep voice. He walked me toward the elevator slowly.
“Can I ask your name, dear?”
“Y/N. Y/N Y/S.”
“Y/N.” He murmured. “Beautiful name for a beautiful lady.”
He stopped as we reached the elevator.
“So,? Would you consider my offer, to show you around, Mrs. Y/S?”
“Thank you, Mr. March. But I’m afraid I have to decline.”
“Well, I’m always there, if you need me, dear.” He kissed my hand and waited until I entered the elevator cabin. “Have a good evening, Mrs. Y/N.”
The cabin doors closed and I sighed in relief. That man was hot as hell, but his “gentleman” attitude and hungry gaze got me the heebie-jeebies. Well, maybe it was my paranoia. Probably he is a good guy. Devilishly handsome good guy.
I quickly walked to the bar counter and took a seat. Liz was behind the bar, rearranging some bottles and after a few minutes, she noticed me.
“I’m glad you came, dear. Mind a drink?”
“I’d like to try your martinis.”
I was surprised by how quickly she made it. Liz fixed her dress and after giving me a glass, leaned on the counter with her elbows.
“ Thanks.” I smiled.
“Dear, I wonder, what such a young pretty creature like you is doing in a place like this, hm?”
I chuckled while sipping my martini.
“It is a lovely hotel. I mean, of course, it has a sort of reputation, but… It’s an interesting place, I find it inspiring.”
“Do you do some sort of creative work?”
“I’m a writer.”
“How interesting. You know I have always gotten along well with creative people.” She took a pack of cigarette out of her pocket and lighted it. “As I see, you are single, aren’t you? Because I’m telling you, if you are thinking about meeting someone in this place forget about it. Only freaks and coke-heads stay here.”
“Sounds like fun working here, huh?” I chuckled. “I actually have already met… someone.”
“Who?”
“Mr. March. We accidentally met in the hallway”.
Liz’s smile disappeared from her face.
“Dear, believe me, you don’t want to know this man.”
“Why is that?” I studied her expression closely.
She looked around and leaned closer.
“Bad things are happening in Cortez, very bad.” She whispered. “Just promise me that you will not-”
“Gossipping, Lizy?”
I turned to the voice. It was a tall woman, dressed in a cheetah print coat over a velvet purple mini-dress. She sat at the next chair to me and lighted up her cigarette.
“What do you want, Sally?” Liz asked watching her.
“Bloody Mary. Thanks, babe.”
Liz sighed and started making the cocktail. Sally watched me closely.
“I’m Sally.” She took my hand to shake it. “They call me Hypodermic Sally.”
“I’m Y/N.”
She exhaled smoke in my face and chuckled.
“There are three reasons people come to Cortez. To fuck. To do drugs. Or to kill. Sometimes all three.” She leaned closer. “So why are you here, angel?”
I looked her in the eyes and sipped my drink.
“Neither of these. Just traveling.”
“You better not be a cop.”
“I’m not a cop, Sally.”
Liz put her glass in front of her and said:
“Sally, dear, just be nice, please.”
“I am nice.”
“Everything is fine,” I said with a smile. “I like Sally.”
Sally turned to me again studying my features.
“Be careful, Missy. This place will eat you alive like it has eaten everyone else.”
By that time I finished my drink and after thanking Liz, decided to go back to my room. It was disturbingly quiet on the 7th floor and almost pitch black. I wasn’t drunk, but one martini on an empty stomach got me a bit light-headed.
“Oh, Mrs. Y/S, I wasn’t planning to see you again today. Looks like it’s fate, don’t you think?” There he was. Mr. March at his white gloves and his sexy accent. I shivered a bit at the sound of his voice but tried to remain calm.
“If I was more paranoid, I would have thought you were watching me.” I chuckled, but after this sentence rolled out of my tongue I felt fear crawling up my back.
“My, my, you aren’t scared, are you?” He stepped closer smiling at me charmingly.
“Should I be?”
He laughed, circling me. His moves were hypnotizing.
“Mrs. Y/S, you are an interesting woman. Sharp minded. I like it.”
“I would like to go to my room if you let me.”
March walked to me from behind and I felt his breath on my neck.
“You are saying it like I am keeping you by force, dear.” He chuckled darkly and it sent shivers down my spine. “You can go whenever you like… But do you really want to?” He gently placed his hands on my shoulders and inhaled my scent. I felt numb. I stepped away from him and prevented his hypothetical attacks from behind.
“I’m not a hooker.”
“Oh, darling, you offended me. I would never assume that you are. I’ve seen thousands of female faces and it always is very noticeable when a woman is selling herself. You are not like that.”
I took another step away from him, creating more distance between us.
“Then why are you paying so much attention to me?”
March chuckled, his hands in his pockets, his gaze fixed on me.
“Perhaps I find you intriguing.”
I raised an eyebrow, not convinced by his answer.
“I’m not naive, Mr. March.”
He chuckled again, circling me like a lion ready to attack. He came up very close to my face. I felt his breath again. My heartbeat increased. We were so close that I could see his perfect teeth.
“Of course, you are not.”
March stepped closer, standing very close, his eyes locked with mine.
“You are trembling, dear.” He observed. “And your cheeks flushed. Your heart is beating so fast. I can practically hear it.”
“I’m tired.” He looked me in the eyes and it became difficult to breathe.
March chuckled, amused by my response. He slowly walked closer, trapping me against the wall.
“Such fear. And yet, I sense no resistance. Tell me, Y/N, are you afraid of me?”
“No.”
He reached out and traced a finger over my collarbone, making me shiver.
“No?” He leaned closer, his lips hovering near my ear. “I don’t believe you, my dear. You are shaking like a leaf. Your body is betraying you.”
March chuckled again, his breath tickling my skin. He tilted my chin, forcing me to look at him.
“What do you want from me?”
“That’s the question you should have asked before you got trapped.” He chuckled sinisterly and before I had a chance to say something, he covered my mouth with a handkerchief and pressed me to the wall. My eyes widened in fear. I tried to push him away, to fight back. But March’s strength was overwhelming, his body pressed firmly against mine, his scent filling my senses.
“No, no dear. Don’t fight it.” He whispered in my ear, his voice smooth as velvet. “Just relax. Let yourself go.”
The realization hit me like a punch in the gut. The handkerchief must have been soaked in something, a strong sedative or a drug because I rapidly lost consciousness.
The world faded away into a black void.
Darkness shrouded my mind, blocking my thoughts. My body hung limp, and I slowly began to lose awareness of my surroundings.
Suddenly everything plunged into darkness.
✦✦✦
When I opened my eyes again, I could see nothing. I tried to move, but it was like my body weighed a ton. My limbs were unresponsive and my mind felt clouded by a thick fog.
I couldn’t tell how much time had passed, or even if I was awake or still sleeping. It was as if I was stuck in a state of semi-consciousness, aware enough to be terrified but too weak to do anything about it.
Panic began to set in as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. Darkness pressed in from all sides, making me feel confined and trapped. I needed a few minutes to understand that I was tied up. The realization hit me like a freight train, causing my heart to skip a beat.
I was trapped. Bound tightly, unable to move my wrists or ankles. Panic and fear rushed through me as the reality of my situation sank in.
“No, no, no…” I muttered, struggling against the restraints, but they held firmly, biting into my skin.
My heart pounded in my chest as the sound of his voice echoed through the dark room.
“Awake already, are we?”
I could picture his sinister smile in my mind, despite the darkness surrounding me.
“What the fuck do you want from me?” I cried, trying not to burst in tears.
“Such language. So feisty.” He chuckled again.
I heard his footsteps nearing me, his shoes tapping slowly against the floor.
“What I want from you, my dear, is simple. I want to see what’s hiding behind this sharp tongue and these defiant eyes of yours. I want to hear your last breath.”
“Please…” I whispered.
He chuckled darkly again, his breath near my ear.
“Oh?” He stepped closer. I felt his touch on my knee. “Is that a please I hear? No more fiery retorts? No more threats from that naughty mouth?” He leaned closer and I finally saw his face. It was the face of The Devil. His features were twisted into a sinister smile, his eyes glowing with an almost demonic glint. He crouched in front of me, studying my face intently.
“There it is.” He said, his voice low and dangerous. “The fear. It’s like a perfume on you. You smell exquisite, my dear.”
I felt a cold metal pressing my collarbone. My heart sank deep into my stomach at the touch of the blade to my skin. A cold chill ran down my spine. I Instinctively tried to break free, but ropes were too tight.
“Don’t move.” he warned, his voice a sinister whisper. “I have a sharp edge here. And I don’t want to ruin your pretty face that quickly.” My heart pounded against my ribs as the cold metal rested on my cheek. The sharp edge stung slightly, a hint of pain that made me shiver. Tears dropped quietly from my eyes.
March chuckled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. “So beautiful. And so fragile.”
“So… fragile.” He repeated, practically purring, his lips almost brushing against mine.
His proximity was overwhelming. His breath, hot against my skin. I could feel my heart racing harder, drumming against my ribcage.
A sense of dread and excitement mixed together, my stomach twisting with a strange sensation. His hot breath fanned over my face, sending shivers all over my body. I felt his lips on mine. A mix of fear and desire rushed through me as his tongue traced the outline of my lips, demanding me to open my mouth for him. His lips hungrily claiming mine as his own. I felt his tongue exploring my mouth, his grip on my face firm. Fear. Pleasure.
“Ah, almost too pretty to kill.” He whispered and in a second he stuck a knife in my stomach. The combination of fear, pleasure and the effects of the sedative overwhelmed me. He kept stabbing me and i felt blood poured out of my mouth.
“No…” I breathed out, not being able to talk anymore. Everything got dark again. The pain was unbearable and the world blurred.
“Shh,” He smiled. “See you soon, my precious hummingbird.”
Thank you for reading, have a great day, darling <3

What’s In a Name?
18+ || MDNI || Content Warnings: tooth rotting fluff hope you brushed ur teeth, maybe abrupt ending I’m so so sorry
Word Count: 1270 exact again
Poppy Sweeting x f!MC
A/N: Happy Pride Month!!! To ensure I get to keep my gay card or else @ellivenollivander would confiscate it until next June, I had to get this out. I've also had this idea for MONTHS now. The hardest part was feeling obligated to name all the beasts. I took a lil screenshot of the spreadsheet I made for it at the bottom of the fic because I am not listing all the names in the fic, that would get real old real fast. Some of these I stole from one of my games, and the rest I crowdsourced. Love you bunches @kaviary-blog
“MC, where are we going?”
“Don’t you trust me, Poppy? When have I ever led you into something dangerous? That’s always been you,” she teased her girlfriend as she pulled her up the stairs. “I told you, it’s a surprise. You should be patient.”
The shorter girl simply groaned in response, but she allowed herself to be dragged along nonetheless.
“The tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy? What’s so special about this?”
MC chuckled, checking the hall for any other students before shaking her head.
“Not the tapestry, but what’s across from it.”
With the coast all clear, MC pictured the room of requirement how she had built it for her own use. She thought of how she needed to show her girlfriend what was inside. The witch knew it had worked when she heard the sound of stone and metal moving and a soft gasp from Poppy.
“What is this?”
“It’s called the Room of Requirement. Professor Weasley showed it to me last year so I could have somewhere to work on my studies. Come on.”
With that she pulled Poppy in, giving her the grand tour of the main areas and introducing her to Deek.
“The real reason I brought you here is the vivariums. I’ve got quite the collection of beasts and I thought you may want to see them.”
“Of course I’d want to see them! What are you waiting for?”
With that open invitation, MC laughed and gestured at the greenhouse looking building on the main level to allow Poppy to lead the way. Nothing truly could’ve prepared the Hufflepuff for what was waiting for her inside.
They stood in the first vivarium and Poppy couldn’t seem to get enough as the beasts swarmed them, recognizing their main source of attention and affection.
“Oh. My. GODS! Look at them! Hello. Oh hello loves.”
The other witch chuckled as her girlfriend’s voice shifted from her normal tone to the one she always used when talking to beasts in class or at Brood and Peck. She watched as Poppy started to groom all of them one by one, taking the time to give each one affection as the brush did what it was charmed to do.
“Oh, you haven’t introduced me to any of them. What are their names?”
“I uh. Haven’t really named them. Unless they had a name when I found them. Like that one over there,” she pointed to the teal niffler running amok since he had already received his brushing. “That’s The Irondale Pilferer. Stole a family heirloom from a shopkeep in Irondale. Caught him when I went looking for it and decided to keep him because he’s cute.”
“What? How do you greet them then?”
She shrugged, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. “I just uh say hello? They don’t seem to mind too much.”
“Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.”
Poppy started looking around and her eyes landed on a puffskein rolling around. She watched him roll into a rock and she immediately pointed at him. “Sebastian.”
MC couldn’t stop the burst of laughter that bubbled up from her chest. Having spent all of last year running around with the Slytherin, and Poppy had the last five years with him, she could agree naming the creature after their mutual friend was a good choice.
They stayed in the forest vivarium for what felt like hours as Poppy tried to observe each of the beasts and tried to name them based on the personality they showed her. It took a while since Poppy did insist on naming each niffler, puffskein, and mooncalf that resided in this habitat. MC found it adorable when her girlfriend decided to expand the nifflers to just be a family of thieves and what they loved stealing. The Irondale Pilferer had a mate named Plunder, a son named Bandit, and a daughter named Goldie.
“Alright, my love. Have they all gotten their names?” She questioned before pressing a sweet kiss to Poppy’s cheek. “I have three more vivariums to show you.”
The joy she felt seeing the Hufflepuff’s face light up in excitement at the prospect of getting to name even more beasts made her feel better than any Pepperup Potion ever could. She took her hand and led her back out into the Room of Requirement.
The next vivarium she pulled Poppy into was the swamp. The pair were quickly swarmed by kneazles, giant purple toads, and diricrawls. After letting Poppy fawn over Gwyneira and telling her the story of how that specific bird ended up in her possession, the brunette once again got to work naming all the creatures that still needed names. She was most proud of the kneazles she named, giving the adults the names Simba and Nala, and their children Kovu and Kavi.
~~~~~
“Alright, my love. I saved the best for last. This one is a sea coast.”
“Are there another twelve in here?”
“There are, but only eight of them need names. There are four that came with names. I think we’ll be here the longest regardless.”
MC couldn’t fight the smirk at her girlfriend’s confused face as she led her into the coastal vivarium.
“I’ve got my graphorns, thestrals, and hippogriffs in here.”
Poppy’s eyes widened and she looked over at MC before she took off down the sand towards the beasts. The smirk that MC was wearing as they walked in morphed to a face splitting grin as a specific hippogriff saw the witch charging the beach.
“Highwing! Oh I knew she saved you from Harlow but she never told me where,” she crooned, stroking her old friend’s face as the creature chirped happily.
The reunion was interrupted by a bump to Poppy’s waist and she looked over to see a baby hippogriff. She looked between the baby and Highwing as her mouth dropped.
“And you’ve had a baby!”
Another squawk drew Poppy’s attention as she was greeted by the twin of the small creature beside her.
“You had two babies! Oh congratulations! And I bet she didn’t name either of them for you, did she?”
“She’s your hippogriff, darling. Why should I be the one to name your grandchildren?” MC wasn’t even fazed as her girlfriend talked shit about her right in front of her face.
It took Poppy roughly half an hour to name the beasts in this vivarium, deciding that the entire brood of graphorns should be named similarly to the patriarch. The Lord of the Shore’s mate received the name of Lady, and their children were promptly named Duke and Duchess.
MC was only certain night had fallen when the two witches started yawning. They hadn’t left the coastal vivarium since they had entered, and they were both wide awake then. It had to have been very late if both of them were getting tired.
“Come on, my love. I’ll conjure a bed and we can spend the night in here. You can help me care for the beasts in the morning before we head down for breakfast.”
Reluctantly, Poppy allowed herself to be pulled away. The Room graciously provided a wardrobe so the pair didn’t have to sleep in their uniforms and the pair got changed before settling into the bed that had been conjured for them haphazardly in the middle of the room.
The taller witch let out a content sigh as she pulled Poppy closer to her, pressing a sweet kiss to her forehead.
“Goodnight, my love. I’m glad you enjoyed your surprise.”
“Best date ever.”
Poppy wiggled closer, settling her head on her girlfriend’s chest before the pair dozed off.
Hiya! Unable to add a gif but if you want to and there’s not too many others with him, it’s my man Javier Peña with “you’re my regret” OR “get out of here! NOW!” Thank you! 🧡🧡
Oooh! I like this! 💕💕💕
“You’re my regret…” under the cut! (830 words)
Everything I write is for grown folks. If you're under 18 GTFO, do not click below, shoo, get out!
The late Friday sun slanted through the blinds, striping your paperwork gold and warming the skin on your arms. You sighed and looked at the pad of paper next to your typewriter… just a few more pages to go. What you wouldn’t give for a back rub and a cold drink right about now, but there wasn’t anyone who could do that for you, not since Peña had run off.
Lord only knows what had scared him off. It’s not like you had pushed him for commitment, or gave him the big moony eyes whenever he was around. You had been available but not clingy. Businesslike but not cold. You thought you had struck the perfect balance between being casual and being warm, but Javier had given you six weeks of fun, and then he was gone. He hit the field for a big operation that lasted over a week, and when he came back, he suddenly wouldn’t look at you. You had spent the past four months trying to figure it out.
Today, though, you had no patience for that puzzle. You had work to finish and laundry to do, errands to run and books to read. The space that you had available in your heart and your mind for the mystery of Agent Peña had shrunk, and your patience was worn thinner than the government-issue toilet paper in the DEA restrooms.
Maybe this weekend you could hit up the bar in your neighborhood that was popular with the DEA newbies and the graduate students from the university. Maybe there would be a cute little distraction, like a grad student studying poetry who had liquid eyes and a lilting tongue, or a freshly-buzzed baby-faced MILSEC guy who wouldn’t mind giving you a roll in the hay… maybe.
You heard the sound of footsteps approaching, and it suddenly hit you how late it was, and how the measured steps echoed against the silence of the nearly empty building. You wondered who could possibly be coming back to this office suite so late-
Javier froze when he saw you. You wanted to twitch a smile at the way he was obviously taken aback, the way he clearly hadn’t anticipated running into you alone, this late, in this corner of the building. He tapped the file folder he was holding into his palm, two, three, four times. He composed his face and wiped any trace of unease from it.
“Oh,” he cleared his throat. “I didn’t know anyone was back here… isn’t your office on the other end of the hall?”
“It was.” You enjoyed his discomfort perhaps more than you should have. “I moved over here two weeks ago.”
You held your hand out for the file, crisp, no time to waste on this man. He approached you gingerly, as though you might bite.
You glanced at the file and then tucked it into your drawer for your boss to sign on Monday. A glance at your watch showed the time well past quitting, and you decided to close up shop and leave the rest of the typing for Monday as well.
You stood and began to put things away, placing the plastic cover over your typewriter, retrieving your purse from its drawer, putting papers away and locking up your desk. You made a show of ignoring Peña, and when you were done, you raised one eyebrow at him.
“Will there be anything else, Agent?”
He just stared at you, and you made no bones about letting the irritation you felt seep through to the surface. You made your way past him to leave, feeling good about giving him your back, resisting the urge to look back over your shoulder to see if he was watching you.
His baritone voice stopped the world.
“Do you have any regrets?”
You halted mid-stride, not sure of how to respond. Was he asking about your relationship in particular? Life in general?
You turned and fixed him with a steely eye.
“Yes. I regret not leaving on time today, otherwise we could have skipped this little charade, Agent Peña. Would you like to explain why you’ve been avoiding me instead of simply treating me like a grown-up and just saying that you wanted to end things?”
He looked at his shoes, and as he opened his mouth, you cut him off.
“It’s too late, I’m not interested any more. So unless you have a sincere apology for me, you can write an interoffice memo.”
His brown eyes met yours, and his voice was so soft you weren’t sure you heard him at first.
“You’re my regret.”
Your next snarky remark was wiped from your brain, and you hoped against hope that he meant it.
You stepped closer to Peña, watching his eyes for any sign of trickery, but all you saw was pain.
You closed the distance, breathless and wanting and completely forgiving the past few months altogether, and you hoped this wasn’t a mistake. You stepped into his arms and kissed him.
autumn outside the post office - jin x reader
chapter one table of content masterlist
≪ how long will beautiful things last? ≫
summary: it wasn't your fault that dr. kim was the most beautiful man you've ever seen. falling for him was entirely your fault, however. first semester at college and you're already dreaming of a student/professor relationship- so naughty and against the code of conduct. you like the thrill, though.
tags/warnings: smut, teacher!jin, college au, cute yet forbidden romance, daddy dom!jin, love triangles, frat boys jungkook and taehyung, age regression, age play, ddlg, spanking, eating disorders, mental health, first love, exhibitionism, lots of blowjobs, age gap
"I shouldn't be here. I'm not cut out to be an adult."
You fiddled with the neck of your shirt nervously. Today was your first day of college classes, and you were beyond stressed. You only had two classes today, thankfully, but no one prepared you for over 90-minute long classes. That was unheard of in high school.
"You'll be fine. The bus stressed you out as well, but you managed to do that!" Your roommate, Jennie, tried her best to cheer you on and lift your confidence. She sat across from you on a picnic table, the two of you taking a moment to appreciate the late summer weather. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and it was perfect t-shirt and shorts weather. You took a deep breath, trying to let the beauty of your surroundings calm you down.
All your life, you had been anxious. From school to social events, even to casual conversations, you constantly had an internal panic attack whenever someone else even perceived you. Your parents hoped going away to college would bring you out of your shell, and it did in a small way. You made friends quicker than you thought you would- of course, you had to live with said friend in a tiny dorm room, but the two of you got on easily.
"Ah, it's five to 11, I should go to class," you said, standing up from the picnic table. You quickly excused yourself and entered the closest building- Hanson Hall, the location of your Korean Literature class.
Frantically, you walked through the halls trying to find room 128. The halls were full of people leaving classrooms and trying to enter others- it was truly chaotic. You tried to keep up with the flow of traffic in the narrow hall while keeping an eye out for your classroom.
The classroom was void of all people when you finally stumbled across it. You put your backpack down on the front row table confused, before poking your head out of the door. Room 128, Hanson Hall, 11 am. Everything lined up, but you still worried that you were in the wrong room. Grabbing your bag, you moved to the far corner of the classroom near the large windows. Granted it wasn't a large room, with only three rows of tables, but the emptiness of the room made it feel huge. You sat down in a chair, and sat patiently, hoping someone else would show.
Bodies slowly began to fill the classroom until about twelve students total sat alongside you. Thankfully no one sat at your table with you- you quite liked having the space to yourself. You could see the clock tower outside strike 11 am, indicating that class should be starting.
After the fifth chime, a young man dressed in a tan suit strolled into the room, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and his briefcase in another. He smiled at the students and gave a small bow before sitting down at the desk in front of the chalkboard.
"Good morning, class. I'm Dr. Kim Seokjin. Welcome to Korean Literature!" Dr. Kim carried himself in a very professional manner- he sat up straight, had a killer smile, and fluffy blonde hair...
Okay, maybe you stared too deeply at your professor.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm from Seoul, South Korea, and I'm the head of the Korean department here at Bangtan University. I originally studied to be an actor... things didn't pan out." Chuckles could be heard around the room as Dr. Kim joked about his failed acting career. He definitely had the looks and voice to be an actor, you thought. You mentally scolded yourself, wondering what exactly had gotten into you. Never once have you ever thought of someone this way.
Other students were soon called on to introduce themselves as Dr. Kim read off the roster. You gulped as you realize this was more than a typical 'name, major, one fun fact about yourself' exercise. Dr. Kim was asking intricate questions about each student, and all questions varied and stemmed from the student's answer.
"y/n? That's a nice name." You froze as he got to your name. He reminded you to stand up and introduce yourself, and you shakily rose out of your seat.
"H-hi. I'm y/n, I'm a first-year theatre major."
"Theatre? Good girl! What do you do?"
You felt the blood rush to your face at his words. You stumbled on your own words at first, until finally, you figured out what to say.
"I do front-of-house stuff, like lights and sound. I quite like the tech aspects of it all."
"You don't like the spotlight much, do you?" You shook your head. You would much rather be six feet under than be center stage.
The next student was called as you took your seat. Slowly your nerves began to settle as Dr. Kim began going over the syllabus and required readings. You did your best to follow along, but your thoughts kept wandering elsewhere.
Students began to pack up as the clock neared 11:50, but your attention remained glued to Dr. Kim. You wanted to take in every second of the beautiful man that you possibly could.
"Oh, I guess that's time. I'll see you all on Wednesday!" Everyone started to file out of the classroom. After placing your laptop, notebook, and papers into your backpack, you stood up to leave. Dr. Kim called you back.
"Hey, theatre kid. Come here for a second," he said, waving you over to the desk. Shaking, you inched towards him. It's as if he could sense your nerves, and gave you a reassuring smile. "What productions are you working on this semester? I've been meaning to come watch them in the past, but they always slip my mind."
In all honesty, you weren't entirely sure of what this semester would entail. During orientation, your department professors gave you the lowdown on what would be happening that semester, how you could be involved, and how your classes fit into the major productions.
"Um, our big productions are Eurydice and She Kills Monsters this semester," you replied. For the past hour you looked nowhere else but at your professor's beautiful face, but now you struggled to speak to him while looking him in the eye.
The older man chuckled. "Well, let me know when tickets go on sale. I can't wait to see what beautiful things you create."
—————
90-minute classes weren't designed for syllabus day, you quickly learned. You sat in an all-black dance studio at a folding table, listening carefully as your sound and lighting technology instructor slowly went through every little aspect of the class. The only thing you could think about was Dr. Kim.
It felt so wrong- the man was at least a decade older than you, not to mention your professor. But yet, you couldn't help but think of all the student-teacher relationships you've seen on television, and imagine yourself in that position.
You don't know why you've caught these feelings out of the blue- you've never had a crush on anyone before this. Maybe it wasn't just the physical characteristics of him that you found attractive. The power imbalance turned you on, how much older and more powerful he is than you.
As you were lost in thought, your peers began to pack up and leave. You looked at the time- it had only been a half hour. Mentally you cheered as that meant you'd be done early for the day. After all of this, you deserved a nice nap.
One of the big things you liked about Bangtan University was how small and cozy the campus felt. You could easily walk through the main campus in under ten minutes and have beautiful views of flowers, ponds, and the river the campus was located on. What you didn't like, however, was having your dorm so far off the main campus. You sat at the bus stop listening to music, waiting for your bus to arrive.
"Hey," a girl's voice drew your attention away from your phone. "You're in Korean Lit, right?"
You nodded, turning down the volume of your music slightly. The girl was a very attractive blonde- tall, slender, and had long, wavy hair that was tied back in a messy ponytail. She reminded you of Barbie in a way. The girl smiled and sat down next to you on the bench.
"Isn't Dr. Kim so hot? I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. He's the only reason why I'm taking that class!" You mindlessly nodded along, not entirely sure what to say. Thankfully for you, your bus had arrived.
"Oh, is this the red line?" The blonde asked the bus driver.
"Nope. That's the 3:15 bus, sweetie," the bus driver replied.
You awkwardly shuffled onto the bus before taking a seat near the front. Turning your music back up, you leaned your head against the cool window and closed your eyes.
The dorm hall felt like a prison center. It was a perfectly square building with a courtyard in the middle, and your window just so happened to look right into the girl's corner bathroom. The windows in there were frosted, so you couldn't make out faces, but the heinous light that shone in at all times of day was miserable.
You lay in your lofted bed, a pillow over your face to block out the intruding light. A headache had formed during the bus ride, and by the time you got to your room, it was nearly a migraine. Sleep was just about to overcome you when your phone pinged with a notification. You groaned and turned to see who was trying to contact you.
Dr. Kim sent out an email- you didn't bother to open it. Laying back down, you cursed yourself for looking. Now he was the only thing on your mind yet again.
My Favourite What If (Chapter 1)
Falling in love with your brother’s best friend is a big no-no, but that’s not why I’m panicking right now.
I’m panicking because not only is Kyle Johnson my brother’s best friend, but he’s also my new boss. I look down at my phone in my hands, feeling like I might faint if I don’t sit down.
It had never been a problem, my crush on Kyle. Of course, it made it awkward hanging out with my brother if he was there too, and it did lead to some embarrassing moments when I would get flustered seeing him shirtless when he stayed over, but those were small things.
The message is from my brother, Andy, who I love, but sometimes he gets me in trouble when I could do without it. Andy is away right now, at university studying to become a dentist. Unlike him, I hadn’t wanted to do any other schooling after I graduated. Which he somehow thought I needed help with, since I hadn’t been able to get a job for the past few months.
Hey Hanna, Kyle said he has a position as his secretary…
Why does he always have to do this? I skim my eyes over the rest of the message, and it’s even worse than I thought. He actually told Kyle I needed the job, and that I would be happy to do it. Well, I guess I’m screwed. I don’t bother answering him; he can’t be stuck in left on read jail, and I instead open my messages with Kyle. Or lack thereof.
I nibble my lip and look at our bare message history. The exchanges we have had were along the lines of talking about Andy or asking for the wifi password. I’m only two years younger, but we don’t talk. Maybe if we had, this wouldn’t be so awkward.
I decided to bite the bullet and send him a message. It’s 8 AM on a Sunday, so I’m not sure if I’ll get a response anytime soon. I put my phone on silent and finish my bowl of soggy cereal. Mum has already left for her job at the daycare down the road, so really I can just lounge around all day.
I check my phone, and my heart drops. No response from Kyle, and it’s been ten minutes. I can lounge around all day, maybe watch some TV, but I can’t. Instead, I shower and dress in a comfy sundress, tying my brown hair into a bun. I start in the kitchen and work my way out until four hours later, the house is clean.
I grab myself a cold glass of pink lemonade and flop onto the couch. It’s only then that I remember Kyle, and I check my phone. My heart skips a beat when I see his text.
***
I hadn’t had a job before, but my mother made sure I was prepared to go to interviews.
I walk into the glass doors of the tall building, dressed in a slim pencil skirt, a dark pink blouse, and professional but still cute flats. I look the part, if only I could feel it. I swallow around the scream that wants to escape my throat and walk up to the front desk. A lady is seated behind it, maybe a few years older than me. When she sees me, she smiles, and I feel myself break into a sweat. I don’t know if I can do this, work underneath him.
Kyle isn’t the owner of Liceno Hills Paper, but his father is. If I do anything wrong, if I get fired from this job, not only will I burn a bridge with Kyle, but I will with one of the most important people in Liceno Hills. No pressure, right?
“Hi, I’m here for my first day? Hanna Jones.” The words don’t sound right coming from my mouth, and she shoots me a sympathetic smile. So it’s not just me feeling like I’m dropping the ball on this, am I? She writes on a sticky note the floor, and tells me it’s the door at the end of the hall. Kyle’s office, where I’ll meet him and he’ll talk me over my job. Surely being a secretary won’t be too difficult, right?
I fold the note and tuck it in my purse, and thank her. The elevators are on the left, and I hop inside. I press the third floor. I didn’t need the paper, but it’s nice to have anyway. The ride up isn’t long enough to get rid of all my nerves, but it helps to get rid of most. The hall that the elevator door opens on is short and void of any doors besides the one at the end. I frown and think back on the receptionist’s instructions. I hope I don’t look as helpless as I apparently seem, especially in front of Kyle.
I walk down the hall, feeling myself tremble a little, and knock on the thick, oak door. At first, there’s nothing, and I check my watch. 9 AM on the dot, and from Kyle’s messages, even a little after 9 was fine on my first day, in case I had gotten lost. I knock again, and this time, there’s an answer. The door swings open, and in the doorway, dressed in a suit and tie stands Kyle. I’ve only ever seen him in sweats and loose tees, and years ago in a school uniform. Seeing him in a well-fitted suit, with his hair combed back and face clean-shaven, it’s almost impossible not to swoon. I get myself under control and smile up at him.
Be professional, he is helping you out.
“Hi, Hanna.” He steps out of the door and waves me in. His office is large enough for two desks and a few comfortable-looking chairs against the wall, but other than that, it’s bare. Even Kyle’s desk is bare, with only a monitor on top. No picture frame, no bit of personality. I flick my eyes back to my brother’s best friend and feel myself color as I catch his eyes, already staring at me. Being professional is going to be a lot harder than I thought.
I can hardly concentrate on what Kyle, Mr. Johnson, tells me, but I get the gist of it. For today, answer calls, answer emails, and rearrange his work calendar around said emails. Later on, he says as he leans over my shoulder and types something on my new keyboard, I’ll have a hand in the harder stuff. I breathe in his cologne, and dangerous thoughts fill my head.
I turn to him, and he’s so close that I can count the smattering of freckles over his nose. He goes to say something, and I wait for it. He looks away, and then must decide on something else. Standing straight, Kyle moves out of my space and back over to his desk. I miss his warmth, but I’m also thankful that I didn’t make a fool out of myself.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Johnson.” I give him a shaky smile and toy with the edge of my pencil skirt. There’s a moment of silence between us before he nods and sits down.
I blow out a slow sigh and turn to start reading emails.
So I just saw your post about ThunderBay location and I just wanted to add a silly thought. So Im from Canada (Quebec, Montreal more specifically). I think you should look at the map of Montreal, it'll be easier for you to see a bit more clearly where Thunderbay could be in the US. Montreal is an island (surrounded by a body of water), but still within the province of Quebec, it reminds me of Meridian City. The closest town to Montreal is Laval, which is a smaller town (20 min drive from Montreal), it reminds me of the distance between Thunderbay and Meridian. In Corrupt they could go back and forth between the two locations really "quickly". It's basically the same for Montreal and Laval. There are about 4 million people living in Montreal. Laval is not really a small town (about 49,000), but the distance between the two always reminded me of Thunderbay and Meridian City.
There's also this neighborhood in Montreal, named Westmount. Basically, all of the really wealthy people on the island live there. About 20,000 people, which is still a lot for Thunderbay, but the aesthetic of Thunderbay always screamed Westmount when I was reading the series.
Anyway just a thought, and your blog is amazing
Love you
Ahh, thank you. Happy you’re enjoying the blog!
This is the exact type of response I was hoping for. I didn’t even think to expand outside of New England. Since people often ask where I think Thunder Bay would be located, I was trying to figure it out geographically.
Aesthetically is another matter.
Montreal fits exactly how I imagined Meridian. I still think Thunder Bay is probably farther, since in Corrupt when they burned Rika’s home down, and she was racing back to see if her mom was okay, it took her a little over an hour. Other times, they note it took them just under an hour. With this, I estimate the travel time to be at least 45 minutes with good traffic.
However, the way Montreal and Laval are situated remind me of Meridian and Whitehall. I know technically Whitehall is just a neighborhood within Meridian, but Kai notes it's on the other side of the river that cuts through Meridian and the way Michael and the others talk is as if Kai is farther away than would be normal, so a twenty-minute drive from where the rest of them live makes sense.
And I’ve gone to google maps to bop around Westmount for a while. It is gorgeous! No matter where I dropped, it was stunning! I love all the red brick and stone. That’s one thing I was missing with the towns in Maine. Brick and stone weren’t materials that were used often in that area. But there’s something about Thunder Bay that says old stone buildings, but maybe that’s just me. Still, I can see why this area works for Thunder Bay though.
Honestly, Victoria Hall is sort of how I pictured TBP, whether that makes sense or not. But I guess either The Study or the one of Mt. Pleasant Ave work too (when I say I'm easily influenced not picky, I mean it).
I’m in conflict here, though. Because while I picture stone and brick – old, historic buildings – I also picture the little seaside village main streets I’ve seeing. It’s not one consistent image in my head.
Personally, This is how I pictured Thunder Bay when reading. Lots of space, green during the spring and summer, colors in the fall. The larger houses spread out, ocean views from just about everywhere.
Above, we can see on the right side those larger houses right on the coastline, but they're still really close to the town. That's sort of how I pictured it. This is Bar Harbor, ME. It's the one that has the cute little gazebo in the right on main street and I could really picture the burning scene as well as the one where Emmy watches Will go into Sticks, since there's a bar/restaurant right across the street.
But I don’t know. I think it’s great that we all have different ideas about what it would look like for them.
It wasn't very far from the station they'd disembarked at to Yoruichi's apartment; she'd chosen it specifically for that reason, after all. She had to admit that the Fronts seemed to have been laid out just as logically as most of the colonies were back where she was from—it seemed like human engineering and planning weren't really much different between the two realities. (Maybe that was why both had come up with similar ideas in the Gundams too...) Sometimes she could almost forget... almost.
Now wasn't one of those times. Although keenly focused on Miorine's answers, she had the sense that at long last she was finally starting to take the first steps back home. Soon enough she'd have cover and fuel for the Hi-Nu and ALICE, and...
She blinked once at the admission about phone games, though that was her only visible reaction. Inside she smiled and laughed a little at the idea of this oh so serious young lady playing cute puzzle games or something like that. She wasn't terribly surprised at the piano having been a thing given Miorine's background.
There wasn't really any time to comment before she was asked about her own hobbies. She had to laugh at that and stretched! "Oh... a little bit of everything," she mused, almost making it sound like that was the extent of her answer.
It wasn't, of course. "In addition to professional development and review to properly grade coursework, I also do a fair amount of study on my own time, mostly on things related to mobile suits." She wasn't really a teacher, but she didn't slack at the job, even if she thought of it as more like a review of military intelligence.
"I usually listen to music while doing that—mostly classic stuff, though not as old as the piano pieces you probably know; 20th and 21st century—and while doing chores and working out. I exercise a pretty good amount every day." It was kind of hard to tell through her teacher's uniform, but she did fill it out, especially in the trousers.
"I spend a decent amount of time in the school's simulators and workshops too—though I'm not really a proper engineer—and it's a little hard to manage around here but I also try and do marksmanship training weekly." Of course, being near Asticassia, one could only get hold of simulated weapons—basically airsoft and paintball guns. "Besides that, I like karaoke and play games too! I mostly like competitive ones that test the reflexes—ah, this is it!"
She pointed at the building they were coming up on, and would lead Miorine inside to an elevator, then down a hall to her apartment. But as they were just heading inside, she grinned at her compatriot a little.
"What kind of games do you play? I doubt they're the same, but maybe that's something we can do together too!"
Admitting to someone that the plants and tomatoes she takes care of are due to her mother shouldn't exactly be a secret, or even embarrassing for that matter. She should feel proud of being able to keep her mother's legacy going, even if it was something like this.
She needed something that belonged to her mother in this world. What was unexpected though was to hear Yoruichi's rather in-depth response to her question. Miorine was curious given the Aerial being part of their ranks, and the fact that Suletta is immune to the so called curse, something that even Suletta didn't bother to question her mother about. Given this woman was still willing to join and help them out despite all of that, Miorine had a feeling that she may not have any strong opinions about it, and that seemed to be the case with her answer.
She had a point though, that this could very well be a thing due to human error, so would that mean that Suletta wasn't making any errors, hence why she wasn't ever hurt? She was a fantastic pilot, that much was certain, it just seemed odd that would be the cause of her not being hurt.
Regardless, it was clear the woman knew exactly what she was talking about, and Miorine had no room to doubt it. Picking up on the fact that she never used the term 'Gundam' itself, Miorine chuckled. "Well, it's nice to know where you stand, at least."
She finally responded as she followed the woman off the train and towards their main destination. This questioning did feel like there was an ulterior motive behind them all, somehow gaining knowledge for something else or her curiosity truly was that high. But Miorine didn't believe that, she figured every question had a reason, even something as asking about her hobbies.
"Well, yes, normally I would be gardening and taking care of the greenhouse. That's my primary time of peace. However, I do indulge in playing games on my phone...sometimes." Most of the time it was when she was upset and just needed to get her anger out, but they were still fun games.
"...I also used to play the piano, and if I had time, I would do so again."
But given she barely had time to even take care of her greenhouse and had to rely on Suletta for it, Miorine doubted she would have any sort of time for that.
"Despite having less time, and not playing anymore, I still listen to various piano pieces." It was also another thing to help calm her down, both options helping her in different ways.
"What do you do for fun?"
1. The Neighbor
Masterlist
Steven Grant x Fem!Reader x Jake Lockley
Warnings: 18+ soft smut, just some making out (for now hehe, the whole I wanna be yours series will be NSFW 18+ so beware)
Summary: Your new cute and sweet neighbor Steven has you… intrigued.
Words: 1.3k
Notes: At the end of the chapter ↴
Next chapter
There are three people you know in the building. Two of them are friends with you, kind of. The first you met was your landlord whose flat is precisely underneath yours and he has complained already twice about how much noise your footsteps make in the afternoon, twice in the whole month you have rented it to him. So definitely not a friend. Your actual friend is the old lady who lives on the same floor, at the beginning of the hall, Miss Claire. The same day you were moving in she knocked on your door with a fruit basket as a welcome gift. You returned the gesture with an apple crumble. Since then she has shared her wisdom about the cheapest markets nearby, guidance on the fastest ways to get to your new job, book recommendations, and crochet tips over a warm and homey tea date at her place.
And there is Steven. Steven with a v, he had said. Your cute neighbor with messy hair, baggy clothes, and a gentle smile, whose door is in front of yours.
He was nice the first time he saw you, making time to introduce himself and having small talk even when he was running late for work. There you learned he worked in the gift shop at the London museum, that he was late because he had a sleep-walking problem and that he fought it by trying to stay awake but had slept at the last minute, that he was very into Ancient Egypt and spent a great part of his time studying the culture, that he had a goldfish named Gus and even offered to give you a tour around the best libraries and book shops around the neighborhood when you told him you worked as a translator and book editor. All of that in a cute rapid babble that got you smiling while he walked backwards through the hall to the elevator. Laters gators, he had screamed waving his hand before the doors closed in front of him.
That was the very best first impression of all the people you had met in London. The nicest and sweetest one. You were definitely interested on get to know him better.
But, of course, you weren’t in a place to call him a friend yet. More of an occasionally friendly-like person. Because a few days later, when you bumped into him in the elevator, it took you a moment to recognize him. But when you finally greeted him he just stared at you for a few seconds, nodded, and stormed out as soon as the doors opened.
That’s why you were even more intrigued by him a few days later when he showed up at your door.
“I came to honor my word, you know. The book shops I told you about last time we saw each other? Remember? I thought we could set a date. Since I’m a regular they often give me discounts so maybe if they see us together they’ll give you discounts too. Or I could just buy them for you. And I thought maybe I can show you my favorite coffee shop, bloody amazing tea… and coffee. I don’t know which one you prefer but uh—All this if you are still interested, of course. There’s no problem if you’re not. And if you are not busy because I guess you might—”.
His rambling makes you giggle, but some of it confuses you. “Yeah, I remember, Steven. And I would love to. But that’s not the last time we saw each other tho”.
“…What do you mean?” He asked, puzzled.
“That time in the elevator at night?”. That got you no reaction. “You were wearing a dark jacket, with a raised collar and a hat. I greeted you but you didn’t seem to remember me”.
This makes him giggle in return. “How could I forget about you? You must have confused me with someone else”.
And even when you are almost certain that it was him in the elevator you let it pass because you get distracted by the way he’s smiling at you, how good he smells —a mix between a woody floral fragrance and freshly washed clothes—, how his whole body seems to vibrate with contained energy, and how cheerful his brown eyes look when you both finally set a date.
He’s not the only one who gets thrilled though. As the day of the date approaches, you get more and more excited. A nervous know forms in your belly and a soft giggle escapes your mouth every time you remember your cute neighbor.
You even bake an apple crumble for him the previous day to share before you two go on your bookshop tour. Since Miss Claire called it an absolute delicacy. Her words.
But then you wait and wait, and wait.
He doesn’t show up. Neither the next day nor the day after that. Nor the week after that.
Days and weeks passed and you didn't get any news from him till the point you actually started to get worried about him.
So you were concerned, disappointed… and intrigued. Your slippery neighbor frequently coming to your mind. Thinking about the first time you met him in the hall, that time in the elevator when he just stared at you without saying a word, the intensity of his eyes in contrast with the way he looked at you a few days later when he came to you to set a date. All of it running around in your mind.
Until one night you wake up to strong knocks on your door.
And there he is. Steven.
But not the cheerful and energetic Steven you had talked to. No, in front of you was that one you had met in the elevator. The controlled and silent one. He’s just looking at you, but this time there’s a fervor in his eyes that leave goosebumps all over your skin.
And when you open your mouth to ask him what is he doing here, what has happened to him all this time he’s kissing you. His hands suddenly on your hips and your lower back, leading you inside your flat, holding you by your naked thighs and pressing you against the closed door.
You try to push away to breathe, to try to think. But now his lips are on your neck, on your collarbone. And you need to hold into something, so your hand finds his way to the curls of his head, his hat falling to the floor in the process. But he doesn’t seem to care. Because he’s taking you to your bed. His mouth finding its way back to yours.
He takes a moment to admire you, once he has placed you onto the mattress. You open your mouth for the second time, trying to make any sense of what’s happening. But he just shakes his head before you say anything, his eyes fixed on the way his hands are lifting up your shirt. Revealing little by little more of your body.
And you don’t even feel like asking any more questions as long as he keeps touching you like this. Because now his mouth is making its way over your thigh while his hand caresses your ribcage under your shirt.
And every second he gets closer and closer to where you want him the most—
But then, again, almost like a deja-vu, you wake up to gentle knocks on your door.
And there he is, just like you would’ve summoned him with your steamy dream, your —sort of—friendly neighbor Steven with what seems to be a souvenir of the pyramid of Giza in his hands.
Notes:
Hi! This fanfic will be NSFW and contain smut so please 18+ readers only. Until the moment, I have planned ten chapters for this fic. This one, the first, starts with the Steven from the first episode. The one who doesn’t know about Marc yet, that’s when he and the reader meet for the first time. Those three or so weeks he spends away comprehends the whole Moon Knight Series timeline, so when he comes back to the reader he’s already gone through all. He’s been in Egypt, has a good relationship with Marc, and doesn’t know yet about Jake. Lastly, even when I love her I’m going to take a creative license and erase Layla from my fiction world. Not completely, I think she and Marc were married and divorced, and that’s it. There’s not any hate intended, just it would be easier for me to do it this way. This is the way hehe.
And yes, Miss Claire is the friend of the old lady scared of Steven in that elevator scene in episode one.
That’s all I wanted to say, thanks for reading <3
yandere! creepypasta.
I had such a MASSIVE creepypasta fixation when I was like 13/14, and a lot of creepypasta playlists have been on my YouTube feed so I decided to write a little something!
JEFF THE KILLER.
Insane cackles rang throught the old building, your loud footspets echoed in the dusty halls of the unkown hallway. You were running out of breath, your lungs screamed at you to please stop, take a break and breathe but your body knew better - if you became weak now it was going to be all over for you. He was going to catch you, he was going to kill you! You could see his shadow creeping up closer and closer, he was catching up, you knew he was. His loud, non stop laughter made you sick to your stomach, you could taste the putrid vomit at the back of your tounge but you did not falter in your step, not even for a second. Analyzing your surroundings you came to the conclusion that you had no idea where you were and your chances of escaping were slim, at the very best. Giving up was not an option though, you refused to fall into the hands of some deranged lunatic.
...you were really cute when you were so lost in your thoughts, pity he never told you that.
Jeff liked to act tough, to be the big bad wolf that hunted his prey and killed it in cold blood, savoring the hunt as long as he could. Due to his flashy nature people would often assume that he was not the sharpest tool in the box but that would always be the downfall to most of his victims. Jeff was indeed clever, he just preferred to let his actions do all of the talking for him.
HOMICIDAL LIU.
Left or right, up or down, to kill or not to kill, these were some of the questions Liu would often find himself being lost in, espacially if Sully decided to mess with him and his decisions. He stalks you but you don’t notice him, thank God. He does do some little things for you, invisible things but they mean a lot to him, especially if he catches you smiling. He usually either places the dishes back where they’re supposed to be, or maybe cleans your room, if he’s feeling cheeky he might even leave you a teeny tiny note! The notes themselves are adorable, your friends often gush about them and ask who the sender could be but you could never answer their questions because you also did not know.
Liu enjoyed having this certain level of anonymity, it allowed him to do some things that he wouldn’t allow himself to do.
You were like fresh air to him, a real sight for sore eyes, so cute, so sweet. Someone like him really had no business following you around, keeping watch and making sure you stay the way you are. You were his secret, his precious treasure that no one in the world was allowed to have.
EYELESS JACK.
Ink black gloves traced the softness of your flesh as you lay in your bed, deep slumber had consumed you ages ago. He kept a close eye on the clock and made sure to be delicate with his movements, he didn’t want to wake you up after all. This was his nightly routine for months now and he took great pleasure in the fact that he was disturbing your day to day life with his presence. He would only ever show you glimpses of himself, but only if he was in the mood for it. He would follow you everywhere, the smell of your blood tempted him to sink his sharp teeth into your delicate flesh. His mind would become hazy with all the things he wanted to do you, how badly he wanted to push you to your breaking point and only then would he come to devour you. However, patience was a virtue and Jack lived by those words. He took his time to study you, your life, your interests, your friends and family, he had all sorts of mental notes stored deep in his mind and he often liked to double check things, just to be sure y’know? He had big plans for you, and it was only a matter of time when he was finally going to take action.
TICCI TOBY.
If pain was a colour, it would be white. Nothing in the world could be compared to sheer might he forced upon you and your body, his strength was unreal. How he managed to swing those axes with such ease was a mystery to you. Standing high above you was the madman you feared, the man that was going to end you without hesitation. Thick ropes of crimson blood oozed out of your leg, the leg itself was almost like a hunk of useless meat by this point. Even with the darkness that engulfed the forest you could still feel his horrid eyes peering down at you, his ragged breath coming out as small clouds of puff. He was smiling, you could tell even with the mask. For weeks now there was a killer that plauged your town and everyone was on edge because of him, but never did you imagine to find yourself in this sort of situation. Looking back you really should have just listened to your gut and ran off, leaving the stranger to himself. Foolishly you helped him by calling the ambulance because you were worried for his bad condition. He had wounds all over, deep cuts decorated his deep grey skin and his clothes reeked of blood and dirt. Despite his unnerving looks and strange ticks, he was oddly sweet, thanking you non stop. He clung onto you and asked you all sorts of questions, all of which you begrudgingly answered with half truths and insecure looks. The ambulance really took its sweet time too, leaving the two of you all alone near the woods where no other living soul was in site. By the time you spotted the red and blue lights you really were thinking to just run for it, the entire energy he gave off made your blood run ice cold. As they were loading him in the truck he shouted out his name to you, and it was Toby.
You forgot about that incident soon enough, life went on. Toby was just another crazy person, crazy people do crazy things right?
Well sweetie, he’ll show you crazy.
word count: 21k
angst, fluff, smut
when your teacher asked you to tutor in the beginning of the school year, you were hesitant even then.
you knew that it meant your lunch period and one study hall for the day were gonna be completely booked, helping younger kids grasp the basic idea that the mitochondria was the powerhouse of the cell.
but then you met one young girl desperate to pass her first test in october and knew your teacher had gotten you, sending a small, defeated smile her way as you gave her the okay to put your name on the list.
you didn’t expect to come back from winter break with the news that the next student you’d be tutoring wasn’t a sweet 7th grade girl but none other than choi yeonjun.
the overwhelmingly attractive but horribly intimidating boy who was a year older than you and had, quite possibly, one of the worst reputations the school has ever seen.
if he wasn’t getting suspended for fighting or smoking on school grounds, you’d attempt to block out the mindless gossip about him and all the college girls he’d frequently fraternize with.
he was in your lunch period when you were a sophomore and he was a junior and you couldn’t help but be fascinated by how handsome he was. how he carried himself and how everyone else seemed to be fascinated by him too.
he was always wearing some variation of black, like his closet was just an empty void of black leather, dark cotton and chains. if he didn’t have on a beanie or hat, his then blue hair was a mess of waves that always made you look a few seconds too long.
you’ll never forget the day that he caught you, your nose in a textbook as you studied for a midterm before a loud shout of his name caught your attention.
you looked up and watched one of his friends playfully punch him in the arm, something about him hooking up with the older girl he had his eye on first and yeonjun only smirking at him devilishly.
he didn’t look apologetic or regretful in the slightest, more so like he’d do again just because he could and just because he knew the girl would be eager to have another go with him.
your breath caught in your throat when his deep brown eyes met yours, his head cocked as he held your gaze with all the confidence and smugness you could never have.
it took his lips quirking into a cocky smile for you to snap out of it, cheeks warming and stomach churning at getting caught before you dropped your gaze right back down to your book.
it was a quick and thorough reminder that this is where you feel comfortable and this is where you belong - with your nose in a book and your mind on your studies.
you’ve always intended to just get through high school with good grades and minimal distractions, a small (almost non-existent) friend group that left you able to make straight a’s and work a small, part-time job.
you’d done a pretty good job of that thus far, no bad boys covered in all black and sliver chains to show you that, maybe, getting out of your comfort zone isn’t such a bad thing after all.
you met yeonjun during your 7th period study hall a week later than intended, him not showing up to either of the periods your teacher informed you both last week.
you weren’t surprised in the slightest but also wouldn’t dare tattle on him, simply dodging the questions from your teacher or giving her a polite smile and cryptic answer.
but you couldn’t even stop the way your eyes widened when the library door opened and he was making his way toward you, black beanie placed on his head along with a dark shirt tight across his chest paired with gray sweatpants that made you bite down on your lip.
his hair was pink now, long with a slight wave to it that looked all too soft and inviting to touch; the color probably shouldn’t work on anyone but, of course, it works on him.
devastatingly attractive in a way that doesn’t seem fair nor human.
he hasn’t said a word to you, he wasn’t even within six feet of you yet, but you were already scared shitless. you already didn’t trust yourself to be around him and not make a bumbling fool of yourself.
a pretty smirk crossed his face when he stood in front of you, looking down at you with a playful look in his eye that was far too mocking and sinister.
“hey. y/n, right?”
you never would’ve pictured this man saying (or even knowing) your name, nor him looking at you so willingly and intensely, but you have to quickly snap yourself out of it.
this was as professional a relationship could be between two students and you really had to get it together.
“hi, yes... that’s me,” you say softly.
so softly that you’re not even sure he can hear it but you can, unfortunately, hear the tremor in your own voice and it’s nothing but absolute embarrassment.
he happens to like it though, if the way his eyes light up and his smirk widens tells you anything.
“i’m yeonjun.”
“i know.”
you say the statement far too quickly and it causes your face to warm, your mouth hanging open as the amusement continues to build behind his eyes; you can see with your own that the boy is too handsome for his own good but something tells you he’s probably far too charming as well.
“i mean... we were supposed to meet last week,” you attempt to clarify.
it seems like a good save, something to make, both, your embarrassment lessen slightly and for him to know you’re aware that he missed the two sessions last week.
but it doesn’t seem to work, the boy sitting down across from you with all the confidence and smoothness in the world. he leans in closer and you hold your breath, horribly lonely and touch-starved heart fluttering in your chest.
“i know, sorry about that,” he says, a genuineness in his voice that you can’t help but question. “i was busy with some things.”
you don’t know what to say so you don’t say anything, not even wanting to think about what kind of things keeps a man like him busy.
your teeth sinks into your bottom lip nervously and you can just feel his eyes burning into you, moving across your pink face and down to your soft white sweater; it makes you look every bit as innocent as he’s presumed you to be and he can’t say it doesn’t make him smile.
“and yet, the teacher didn’t say anything to me about missing.”
you meet his eyes at his questioning tone, so scrutinizing and intense that you feel very grateful about your decision not to blow up his spot; you don’t even wanna know what he looks like when he’s angry.
or maybe you do, some darker and suppressed part of yourself thinks.
“that’s because i didn’t tell her,” you say quietly, a lump forming in your throat that you’re trying desperately to push down. “i didn’t wanna....”
you almost say tattle and you think your face wold turn an unnatural shade of red if that silly word left your mouth in front of him.
so you meekly and sweetly decide on, “i didn’t wanna get you in trouble,” a smile gracing his face that almost makes you feel like you’d done a good job or something.
and how ridiculous does that sound? you did a good job for the older, delinquent boy - you don’t know what’s gotten into you.
maybe his smile and his eyes and just the way he’s looking at you is making you feel as if you’re actually something to look at - you’ve never really been observed the way he’s observing you.
a deep, melodic chuckle leaving his mouth causes you to swallow nervously, watching him with a blank expression because you’re not sure if he’s laughing at you or with you.
your heart stutters when he leans back to stretch, his arm squeezing at the back of his neck; it takes everything in you not to watch his arm flex.
“how’d i know you were a good girl, hm?”
your eyes widen at his words, stomach swooping in a way that’s only ever happened when you watch couples on tv or read about a romance in books.
because it’s not only his words, it’s the way he carries himself. the way he’s looking at you and speaking to you, the way you never thought anyone would - let alone him.
he must mistake your utter...shock and fascination for confusion, eyes wide and cheeks flushed and he suddenly wants to place his hand on your cheek.
see if it’s as warm and soft as it appears to be in this very moment.
“you were in my lunch last year, no?” he hums, looking directly at you with zero ounce of fear and ever bit of confidence. “always with a textbook or writing something.”
he doesn’t remember all the girls that gawk at him but he remembered you immediately.
caught your gaze early last year and saw something flicker in your eyes, a soft and innocent fascination he wasn’t used to seeing but immediately made him wanna ruin you - he wanted to ruin you and he didn’t even know you.
he just knew that he’d watch you sometimes, discreetly and quickly, but enough to get his fix.
when he entered the cafeteria and made sure you were sitting there with your your face buried in a book.
when you’d get up to buy lunch or a bottle of water, pull down your skirt or adjust your hair in a way that made him wanna touch you in a similar fashion.
when you’d leave five minutes early (in what he fantasized was so you wouldn’t be late) and send him one last glance. feel your soft, hesitant gaze on his face and meet it carelessly at the very last second.
just enough to watch you get shy and see the blush so similar to now cross your cheeks.
he didn’t know your name and he, truthfully, never intended on learning it. because as much as he wanted to truly ruin you, he knew that’s all it was - a dark, twisted fantasy that someone like him shouldn’t act on.
but then when he walked in and saw you here, the tutor he was dreading to meet in such a familiar position, he knew immediately that you were her.
the cute girl from his lunch he wasn’t sure was an angel he wanted to protect or someone he wanted to fuck the shit out of.
you weren’t sure what to think right now, not wanting to get your hopes up or think too much into his question - you were in my lunch last year, no?
think that you were special and he remembers you for reasons far too fantastical so you only nod, figuring he could be taking a guess; there’s only three lunch periods after all.
“yeah. your hair was blue.”
a smirk crosses his face, chest warming at the fact you remembered him (even though the cocky, confident part inside of him knew you would).
“yes it was,” he confirms, smiling down at you in a way that makes your heart jump and pound even more. ”i was hoping you’d remember. because i knew i recognized you from somewhere.”
you don’t know how you’re gonna do this. you can barely look at him, how are you supposed to talk to him and teach him twice a week and actually-
“i do wanna ask you something else though.”
your eyebrows pull together at the slight change in his voice, cocking your head to the side as you look at him.
he’s leaning in a little closer now, tiny pink strands hanging from his beanie as his brown eyes bore into yours. there’s still some amusement twinged in his eyes but it all looks very deceptive, unnerving a part of you that your stupid little heart is ignoring.
he doesn’t allow you to ask him what before he starts talking again.
“how about we keep these sessions the way they’ve been?”
your eyebrow raises as confusion continues to plague you; your sessions haven’t even started?
you haven’t even taught him anything, what could he possibly- but it’s the moment he opens his mouth to speak again, you realize that’s exactly the point.
“you tell the teacher i’m coming to these and i’ll tell her what a good job you’re doing. how much i’m learning from you and shit.”
a smirk crosses his face when he peers into your eyes, catching the nervous, unsure look in them that only makes his smirk widen - you really are too cute.
you, on the other hand, don’t know how you feel about his suggestion; you just know how you feel about lying.
it doesn’t sit well with you and you don’t wanna get in trouble.
the teacher has a class during this period so it’s not like she’d come down and check but it still makes you incredibly queasy.
and if he needed tutoring in the first place, he obviously needs help. he’s a senior and needs to keep his grades up so he can graduate. it’d be your fault if he didn’t pass and you’d hate to be the reason he gets-
movement in front of you causes your thoughts to immediately stop, body freezing as you watch him lift his arm and bring his hand to your head.
he moves a strand of hair from your face before smoothing out the slight crease in your forehead, biting down on his lip when he feels your skin is just as soft and smooth as he suspected.
“what are you thinking so hard about?”
the deep, low tone of his voice and inquisitive look on his face is dangerous, almost as dangerous as the frantic beating of your heart and the way it’s about to pound out of your chest.
it’s like he has electric sparks shooting from his hand, making you feel extremely exposed and vulnerable even though his touch is quite gentle and innocent.
“i.... it’s just....” you stutter out, taking a deep breath because you know you need to get it together fast. “you’ve been having trouble, right? that’s... why you needed tutoring in the first place.”
his eyebrow quirks up at your comment and for a split second, you think you’ve offended him.
“i don’t want you to fail, yeonjun.”
he doesn’t allow himself to dwell on your words, realize that no one has so openly and sweetly said that to him before. or even cared enough to tell him that they don’t want him to fail.
he knows the teachers and counselors get him help because it’s their job.
he knows his parents bitch and complain about it because they don’t want him repeating high school or wasting their money.
he knows anyone who says anything to him about it is just doing it to make themselves look like a good person or friend.
but you just so openly and sweetly said it, a deep concern in your eyes that he knows he can’t dwell on or his similar feelings are gonna arise from last year’s lunch.
where he’s about to throw caution to the wind and do anything and everything he wants to someone as innocent and sweet as you; but he can’t do that and he knows it, he knows that’s why these session can’t happen - on top of the fact that it’s not only you.
he smokes during lunch and into this period.
and there’s just no fucking way he’s spending that time suppressing his predatory attraction to you while learning about shit he doesn’t understand and being high as a kite.
“you don’t gotta worry about me, angel,” he hums lowly, the name falling so naturally and smoothly from his mouth, he doesn’t even realize. “just do that for me, yeah? then you’ll have 7th free.”
you don’t hear much after he calls you angel, just that he’s asking you to do something for him and you’re blindly and dumbly nodding because he just called you that.
and it’s not until he smiles and thanks you deeply, looking over your face once more before saying that he’ll see you around that you realize you’re alone.
sitting there as you watch yeonjun walk out the door without a glance back and come to terms with the fact you just agreed to lie to your teacher for him.
for almost a month, you were able to keep it up.
it was terrifying and debilitating and it almost sent you into a full blown identity crisis, but you’d somehow managed to do it.
that was until this afternoon, when your teacher cut through the cafeteria during lunch with a cup of coffee in hand and suspicion in the pit of her stomach.
she saw you sitting there alone, your own books sprawled out around you as you wrote down notes before her short call of your name had your head snapping up.
her eyes watching you quizzically made your own widen, stomach sinking and heart starting to pound as he she made her way over to you.
“hi, y/n. where’s yeonjun today? it’s wednesday.”
the period only began ten minutes ago so it wouldn’t be weird for you to say that he wasn’t here yet. that he got held up after class and would be on his way shortly.
but you were just nervous and so bad at lying that you blurted out that he left to go to the bathroom, her eyes roaming the table in what you could only assume was for his books.
“he took his backpack with him,” you tell her quietly, smiling softly in an effort to hide your guilt and distress. she only hums softly before nodding her head, taking your word for it because why wouldn’t she?
you’re good and studious and wouldn’t ever lie to a teacher.
but then when she comes down to the library next week during 7th period with her class, catching you at the table by yourself, you do it again.
look her in the face and panic, make a scene of collecting your books as you tell her you forgot you guys were meeting in the cafeteria today - placing the blame on yourself.
you spent the rest of the period in the bathroom, collecting your thoughts and attempting to calm yourself down because you can’t keep lying.
you haven’t even talked to yeonjun since the first time you met in the library, only seeing him in passing in the hallway or after school.
he’ll send you a nod paired with his signature smirk and you’ll send him a small smile back, dipping your head before your cheeks flush at the mere sight of his eyes.
you wish you hadn’t agree to this.
you wish he didn’t effect you so much and you wish you could tell him you either need to actually help him or tell the teacher he doesn’t want to, because you’re losing your mind.
you’re anxious and upset and not feeling good about yourself, barely able to look your teacher in the face these days.
it’s on a friday before lunch, the bell ringing ready to dismiss you from her class, that it all comes crashing down.
she asked you to stay behind for a moment, everything about her face calm and neutral as you made your way over to her desk.
you were anything but calm as you stood before her, that familiar feeling of dread and guilt rushing in your stomach as you smiled softly at her and asked if everything was okay.
“yes, i just wanted to say what a great job you’re doing with yeonjun.”
you don’t even know what your face looks like but you know it’s probably the face of someone incredibly guilty, being praised for something you haven’t been doing and taking credit for it even though you know it’s wrong.
the feeling in your stomach confirms all of those feelings, tight and fluttery and buzzing with upset.
“o-oh?”
“yeah,” she smiles tightly, looking over your face before speaking again. “we just took our third test and he did great. in the low 90s.”
a part of you desperately hopes that to be true, that maybe he started applying himself and somehow started to grasp the material all on his own. you smile at the thought that that’s the case, nodding your head as you, against your better judgment, keep up the facade.
“i’m happy for him. he’s been working very hard. w-we studied at our last session for it, actually, and he really seemed to be understanding it.”
the contemplative look she gave you should’ve been the first sign that she knew you were full of shit, a quiet hum leaving her mouth. she holds your gaze until the moment you drop it, looking down at your white sneakers until she calls your name softly.
“y/n... why have you been lying to me?”
your lips press together as tears prick your eyes, all of the guilt and shame rushing through you at once.
“he failed his test and i know you guys haven’t been meeting.”
she knows that because you can’t lie. she knows that because yeonjun still doesn’t know anything and all of the students she’s recommended to you have passed with flying colors.
she knows because when you look up at her, your lip is trembling and it looks like you’re about to burst into tears.
“i... i’m so sorry.”
but even then, even after this moment right here, you’re still not gonna tell on yeonjun. because you don’t want him getting in trouble and you’re not gonna try to excuse your own behavior by admitting you agreed to it.
you’re just as at fault as the older boy and you’re not gonna pretend you’re not.
“why have you been lying? you could’ve just told me if you didn’t feel comfortable tutoring him or it wasn’t working out.”
because she knows yeonjun’s reputation. she knows he’s a year older and that you’re one of the shyer students in her class. she was hesitant at first to even put you two together but thought you’d be able to get through to him.
and because you don’t know what to say, how to make up an excuse that puts neither of you at fault, you don’t say anything. just continue to apologize with teary eyes and a shaky voice before she eventually lets out a sigh.
“take the next few days to figure it out. try to work on it with him or come to me and be honest that it’s not gonna work. but you didn’t have to lie to me, y/n. i’m a little disappointed in you.”
those words hit you harder than you care to admit, more tears building as you nod your head and quickly leave the room.
you knew from the beginning that it was wrong.
you never felt good about it and you knew it was bad but you still took part in it. she has every right to be disappointed in you and it feels like everything you worked so hard for has been ruined.
now you look like a liar who can’t be trusted.
now any time you tell her about another fellow student you’re working with, like the 7th grader you got through to or the 9th grader you helped get an a on their test, she’s gonna wonder if you really did that.
if you really helped them or if you’re just lying about that, too. telling them the answers to their homework or lazily explaining the concepts to them like you don’t work hard with each and every one of them.
you’re surprised to see yeonjun when you make it to lunch a few moments later, your stomach still in knots and left over tears in your eyes.
you don’t even realize you’re standing in front of his table until you hear one of his friend’s deep voices, a brash “who are you?” not even filling you with fear.
you’re only looking at yeonjun pathetically, wide teary eyes and pouty lips in an effort to hold back more tears.
yeonjun’s dressed in his usual attire but you can’t even focus on that, his pink hair flawless against his black shirt and chain hanging around his neck as he adjusts it carelessly.
soobin’s words catch his attention before your appearance does, looking at the front of the table and taking in the sight of wide, teary eyes and pouty lips; it pulls at something in his chest more than he cares to admit.
“yeonjun, can i talk to you for a second?”
your voice is wobbly and timid and everything about it so incredibly embarrassing, the tears in your eyes obvious to all the young men around the table.
you probably look like some girl he slept with and then left on read, begging him for another chance because your heart can’t take not being with him. because you got attached and now it feels like you need him.
but, really, you just need him to let you tutor him.
you can’t disappoint the teacher anymore and you had a job to do with him; you should’ve never told him that lying would be okay.
“who’s this?” his friend asks with a smirk, his hair a bright shade of purple that looks striking next to yeonjun’s.
“no one,” yeonjun’s quick to snap, looking at you before quickly getting up and guiding you out of the cafeteria by the small of your back.
he walks down a secluded hallway and out to the garden of the school, looking at the tears in your eyes and feeling himself frown.
“what happened?”
“i... she found out we haven’t been meeting,” you mumble, feeling silly and childish for crying in front of him about something like this; but you can’t help how you feel, you can’t help feeling sad and guilty about all of this.
your heart drops when he actually smirks at you, looking over your face with a gaze that’s just as soft as it is amused.
you’re almost positive he’s about to laugh at you, call you a loser for crying over something as juvenile as getting caught in a silly lie and hurt your feelings even more.
but then you’re quickly stiffening when his hand reaches up, gently brushing at your tears and marveling in just how soft your skin is.
“that’s why you’re crying?”
you’re embarrassed to say the least, any words you’d use to justify your reaction caught in your throat - and the smirk on his face isn’t helping either.
“you’re too pretty to cry over stupid shit like that, y/n.”
“it’s not stupid,” you respond, voice shaky and demeanor meek but still able to talk back.
because it’s not stupid to you. wanting to be nice and studious and a good person isn’t stupid. not wanting to be a liar or someone who goes back on their word isn’t stupid.
“she trusted me to help you and i lied to her.”
“we lied to her,” he says, voice and eyes teasing as he bends down to be on your level. you think he’s trying to make you feel better, a soft playfulness on his face that does anything but.
because you aren’t like him.
you aren’t cool and feared and you can’t not care about how you effect other people.
“why didn’t you just tell her it was my idea?” he asks suddenly, his eyes roaming your face in such a gentle but curious way. “she probably already knows that.”
“i... i didn’t want you to get in trouble.”
he rises to his full height as a small smile crosses his face, your soft voice and sweet words again effecting him far too much. he shouldn’t feel this way toward you and he shouldn’t want to be tutored now.
he shouldn’t be reaching out to touch the smooth skin of your cheek, a few stray tears making his lips fall into the smallest of frowns as you hear his voice the softest it’s ever been.
“i wouldn’t get in trouble, angel.”
and there’s that word again. making your wet eyes widen and stomach to flutter, wondering how and why that simple word sounds so nice leaving his mouth.
maybe because you’ve never been called that before.
could only imagine being called that by someone, let alone him, in such a way. or maybe it’s because it is him, the boy you watched for months on end, forever fascinated by the way he carried himself.
or maybe it’s because-
“but even if i did, how’s that your problem? why would you care?”
it’s a fair question you suppose but it doesn’t stop you from licking at your lips nervously, an all too familiar (and embarrassing) blush warming your cheeks.
“i mean... it’s not,” you mutter shyly, not sure if you’re more intimidated by him calling you out or the look on his face.
but even with those feelings, you’re still able to meet his gaze.
take in the deep, dark intensity staring back at you in his brown eyes. they’re softer than one would expect, almost soft enough to make you forget what you were wanting to say.
“but it’s just as much my fault as it is yours. so it didn’t seem fair.”
he smirks so he doesn’t say anything too brash, looking over the blush on your cheeks. his hand itches to move your hair behind your ear, a move he’d always do because he knew it was charming.
knew it’d get him laid and get a girl’s heart fluttering.
but now he wants to do it just to touch you, feel your hair and skin and watch the blush on your cheeks deepen; but before he can do anything, he’s surprised to hear you speak anything.
“but it’s also not fair to keep lying,” you say softly, a broken little smile crossing your face as you look at him. “i actually really hated the lying... so if you don’t wanna do the sessions, i’m gonna tell her it’s not gonna work for us. but if you change your mind, i’m still free during those periods.”
at that moment, he had every intention of telling you no.
he didn’t wanna give up his free time and energy to learn about things he’s absolutely sure he’s never gonna need to know after this.
he didn’t wanna sit through the sessions high or not get high at all, the only way he’s able to cope with the last period of the school day knowing that he could roll a joint in his car with soobin.
he didn’t wanna resist his obvious attraction and borderline fascination with you, act on it in a way he knows you’re not ready for and in a way he shouldn’t.
but when he walked in the library on monday, the time he told you he’d get back to you, you looked up and smiled at him. it was such a small, quick smile but everything about it called to him.
the twinge in your eyes and the way your hair fell, how even though your smile was small, it lit up your face and made you the prettiest girl he’d ever seen in his life.
at that moment, you were positive he was about to tell you no.
that thanks but no thanks, he’s absolutely not gonna spend his free period being tutored by a younger student who only stutters and blushes in his presence.
but when he sat down in front of you, a smirk on his face and eyebrow quirked, you couldn’t even hold back your look of surprise.
a deep chuckle left his mouth when he caught your expression, the sound one of the best noises you’ve ever heard.
“what? did you think i wasn’t coming back, angel?”
it took you a month to see yeonjun was just as confident and just as much trouble as you’d expected.
he was far too charming and attractive and funny, a sarcasm and wit in him that made you muffle your giggles like a middle school girl.
you weren’t used to talking playfully with the people you tutored, always so focused on getting the work done and making sure you were doing a good job explaining the material for them.
but yeonjun always made sure to delay it, attempt to get to know you before you could even discuss his homework or review sheet; and even though it hasn’t been easy, he’s been persistent in breaking down that wall you put up.
“did the flashcards help or do you think you’re more of a-”
“why don’t you ever go out?”
you suppress the urge to let out a sigh as you turn to look at him, his expressive eyes looking over your face.
you’ve gotten used to the feel of his gaze on you, almost like it was burning into your skin and leaving you exposed to the bone, but it didn’t help when you made eye contact.
looked into his eyes and saw him looking back at you so confidently and so easily, you couldn’t help but feel flustered.
“what do you mean?”
you know exactly what he means but it’s the only thing you could think to say.
you know more than anyone how much time you spend alone in your room, watching tv series and reading books and reorganizing until you don’t even recognize your own space.
but it’s not that you’re bothered by it, that’s what you like going. not going out isn’t something you find bad or upsetting.
“i mean i see people from your grade at our parties a lot,” he hums lowly, his eyes leaving yours only to look at the soft, pastel pink material of your sweater.
“but you’re never there,” he continues, looking at you and cocking his head to the side questioningly. “why’s that?”
“well, i’m not...invited, i guess,” you mumble out, ignoring the way your cheeks warm even more. “i like sticking to myself. and staying home.”
the words and your tone bring a pout to his face, your eyebrow raising at the sight. why is looking at you like that?
“well now you have an invite,” he says, a teasing smile crossing his face. “come to my friend’s party tonight. soobin, do you know him? he has the purple hair?”
his voice is far too sweet and soft compared to the look in his eye, teasing and flirty and reminding you of just how dangerous he is. how he’s capable of having so many different sides, he nearly gives you whiplash.
he’s the bad boy everyone thinks of him to be, skipping class and getting high and ditching tutoring lessons by smiling too kindly at a mousy little tutor.
he’s the play boy you see come out when he looks at you a second too long, bringing a blush to your cheeks and stirring something very unfamiliar in the pit of your stomach.
but then he has a softer side you see sometimes, like when he decided to do these lessons in the first place because you cried to him and made yourself look even more pathetic.
“i’m happy you decided to do these,” you say to him quietly.
it was only your second session but you wanted him to know you were supportive of his decision. that, even if your word meant nothing (because, really, who are you to him?), you were proud of him.
it’s not easy for a senior to give up a period or two to learn about things they don’t understand; you probably wouldn’t wanna do it either, if school and learning didn’t come naturally to you.
but for whatever reason, he agreed to do it.
“oh?” he hums, the trademark smirk on his face causing your cheeks to warm.
“yeah,” you smile softly, nodding your head before looking down at your clasped fingers. “i just... wanted you to know that. i understand why you didn’t want to but i think it’ll be good for-”
“why do you think i didn’t want to?”
you look at him and for a split second you’re scared that you offended him. you suppose you don’t really know him well enough to make an assumption about him but you just assumed he-
“or, you know what, no,” he says, shaking his head as he pushes his chair closer to yours.
he leans over the desk the same way he did during your first meeting last month, bringing your faces closer until you can smell cologne and the faint stench of cigarettes.
“i wanna hear why you think i changed my mind?”
you quirk an eyebrow as you look at him, staring blankly until you realize he just plans on doing the same.
“well... i guess it’s because you wanted to do good, right?” you ask meekly, unsure why he changed his mind but knowing that you were happy he did. “and maybe you didn’t wanna disappoint the teacher.”
a deep chuckle leaves his mouth that has butterflies erupting in your stomach, watching as he shakes his head and meets your gaze again.
“is that no it?” you ask bravely, your wide eyes and confused look causing his own stomach to do flips. “what’s so funny?”
but he’s quick to push it down, reach over to ruffle your hair in a way that makes your eyebrows pull together.
“nothing, angel,” he mumbles, his eyes roaming yours. you see the exact moment there’s s witch behind them, a flirty and darker front he puts up melting into a soft, vulnerable look.
“but thank you for telling me that. because i’m happy i’m doing them, too.”
he has yet to tell you the reason all these weeks later, probably because you wouldn’t dare ask again, but whatever it was, must’ve greatly inspired him.
because over these weeks, he’s really been putting in the work. writing notes and listening to you and asking questions when he’s not making you blush or inviting you out just for you to decline.
“so...?” he asks, a charismatic smile stretching across his face as he looks at you awaitingly. “what do you say? you wanna come?”
“no, thank you,” you smile politely, feeling bad for downright denying it but the offer feeling far too similiar to cliche movies you’ve watched. where the popular boy invites the nerd to a party and everyone laughs at her, questions why the hell she’s here and pulls some stupid, immature prank on her.
but this isn’t a movie and you don’t think you even have the capacity to show your face there, nor would anyone care that much to target you.
dismissing him is easier than really considering you hanging out with him outside of this library. seeing him in a different setting and allowing him to see a different side of you.
not you looking at him pleadingly, your eyes moving to the paper in front of him as you ask him to do the next question.
“i’ll do it if you come tomorrow night,” he says, a sigh leaving your mouth as you look at him in frustration.
“yeonjun...”
because if there’s another thing you’ve learned about yeonjun, it’s that he knows you have trouble saying no to him. it could because he sees the naivety in you, seeing something good in him at times and thinking you’ll really be able to help him.
but maybe he hopes you can help him, too. be a person he can lean on and know 100% is gonna be there for him.
“c’mon, y/n, don’t you wanna have a little fun?”
“i don’t think i’d find it fun,” you mutter honestly, a pout forming on your lips that has him swearing he’s never wanted to kiss someone as much as he wants to kiss you in this moment.
just brush his lips gently against yours, hear the little sounds and see your reactions that he knows will be the best thing he’s ever had. hold your waist and feel your skin against his that while it’s juvenile to him would be so much to you.
“you don’t know until you try, y/n,” he mutters lowly, looking up at him and seeing his gaze is, as usual, unrelenting. “have you ever been to a party before?”
of course you’ve been to parties before; birthday parties, graduation parties, wedding parties - but you’ve never been to a high school house party.
and are you about to tell him that? absolutely not.
“of course i have,” you mumble, a smirk on his lips because he can tell by the way you avert eye contact that you’re lying. “but it’s just... especially with kids from school who i don’t know? i don’t think it’d be fun, yeonjun.”
“but i’d be there?” he whines, something very uncharacteristic of someone who is known to be a bad boy. “isn’t that fun enough?”
you let out a groan as you frown again, tapping the notebook in front of you lightly as you meet his close gaze.
“your test is next week, yeonjun. can you please focus on that right now?”
it’s not until the next session that he thinks to use that to his advantage, supposing he can stand one more party without your presence as he smiles over at you.
“let’s make a deal, angel.”
you know when he calls you that that you’re not about to talk about school or his test, looking over at him with a raised eyebrow.
“if i get 100 on my test next week, you come to one of soobin’s party.”
you have to suppress a groan at the way he’s not letting up on this damn party, biting down on your lip as you do your best to give him a serious look.
“you should get the 100 because you want to, not because you’re trying to-”
his finger on your lips is the next thing you’re only able to focus on.
not the pounding of your heart or increasing anxiety at the thought of a party or the fact that there’s more people in the library than usual today.
you’re only aware of him touching you, a quiet “sh,” leaving his mouth that has your stomach fluttering far more than you care to admit.
he meets your wide-eyed gaze and smirks at the look on your face. his finger presses down on your bottom lip gently, dragging it slowly and watching as it pops back up.
there’s an almost pained look in his eyes that you can’t make out, his eyes never moving from your lips before meeting your gaze again.
“i want a lot of things, y/n,” he says, his voice deep and gruff and making your heart pound even more as he looks to your mouth again.
you feel your lower stomach swoop at the way he bites down on his bottom lip, his other hand ghosting over to rest of your knee.
your uniform skirt comes just above your knees, becoming higher when you sit and perfectly exposing your tight covered legs. his large hand rests on your knee like it completely belongs there, like he’s gonna dare anyone to tell him it doesn’t belong there and to take his hands off you.
“things i probably shouldn’t tell you yet so your pretty little face doesn’t become beat red,” he mumbles in your ear, his warm breath fanning onto your skin and making a shaky, embarrassing sigh leave your mouth.
but just him realizing that makes your cheeks flush. everything about his closeness and his words and the way he’s just saying these things to you right in the middle of the library.
the way his hand is slipping inside of your knee, fingers resting on the inside of your thigh that has some dirty, repressed part of you desperate to spread your legs just a little bit more for him.
feel more of his skin on you and heighten the feeling building in your lower half.
“but i can assure you, none of them are an on my test. but if that means getting you to spend time with me outside of this fucking hellhole, i’m gonna do it.”
just as fast as his hand was on your thigh, it’s gone and cupping your face. holding on to your jaw as he makes you look at him and has a look of softness and amusement but also darkness and arousal.
it probably has every bit to do with the fact you let out a tiny squeal when he did so, your eyes widening and legs now spreading apart ever so slightly.
“do you understand now?”
you should have the power here being his tutor but you don’t. you’re the cat and he’s the mouse, you’re the prey and he’s the predator and you’re not about to do anything to stop it.
“ye-yes yeonjun,” you say, a groan almost leaving his mouth at you how compliant you are already.
and it’s that reaction right there that has him skipping the party on friday and spending his weekend doing something he never thought he’d do his senior year - making flashcards and studying his ass off.
you remember being incredibly proud when, two weeks later, yeonjun came to your session with his graded test paper in hand.
he looked happy and accomplished and ready to take on the world, a warm feeling blooming in your chest at the look on his face.
“how’d you do?” you smiled up at him, your eyes soft and expression excited.
when he flipped the test over to reveal his 100% test, your first instinct was to raise your hand for a high five. it’s what you always did with the younger kids, praising them and sharing their excitement over a test that they worked incredibly hard on.
so when you did the same thing to him, quickly realizing he’s not one of your 7th grade students but an absurdly attractive man, your cheeks flushed and you stuttered out a “sorry.”
but he only chuckled lightly and high-fived you immediately, lacing your fingers from across the table before you could pull away. the action caught you off guard more than your nerdy high-five, eyes looking down to your conjoined hands before you gave him an incredulous look.
“what are you doing?” you squeak out, fearing that your hand’s about to get clammy and your heart may explode.
“don’t tell me you don’t remember our deal?”
you realized before you even entered soobin’s house that you made a grave mistake.
music was pounding through the open windows of the house and a few people were littered across the lawn. a drunken couple sloppily making out while another one fought about someone dancing with a stranger all before ten p.m.
you truly intended on never coming, telling yeonjun you seriously could not go through with this and had to flake out on your deal.
but he’d been so proud of his test. not just because it meant you were coming but because it showed him he was actually capable - or at least, that was the story he told you.
and whether you were silly and naive to believe him was on you since now, you’re walking into a party looking like someone’s holding a weapon to your back.
“so i’ll see you tonight, right?”
you were still hesitant even during 7th period this afternoon, looking at yeonjun with a pained expression.
“yeonjun... i really don’t know if i can do it.”
“why not? i’m gonna be there, just for you.”
you swallow down a bold, sassy remark that he’s gonna be there anyway, probably to remind your fluttering heart not to think too much into his comment.
but is him being there enough to make you go? or is that scaring you more? seeing him outside of school, around his friends, in an environment where he can be even more bold and daring.
after all, being in the school library didn’t stop him from creeping his hand up your inner thigh.
“i don’t just wanna follow you around all night and bother you like a lost puppy,” you whine quietly, knowing this was part of the deal but seeing just how impossible it is.
“how could you think you’d bother me?” he asks, his head cocked to the side just as the bell ringing interrupts you.
you let out a sigh as you stand to gather your books. you can feel his watchful eyes on you, attempting to ignore it as you silently get ready to go to next period.
he mistakes you walking away from the table to throw out a stray sheet of paper as you leaving, quickly rising from his feet and pulling you back into him. your body collides with his before he presses you against the table, the library nearly empty as the loud chatter of students can be heard from the hallways.
“were you gonna leave without answering me?”
his voice is deep and has a certain dominating darkness behind it, your eyes raising to his just in time to see him cock an eyebrow up.
“i... i was gonna throw this out,” you answer dumbly, raising the crumpled up paper behind your back.
he hums thoughtfully before taking it from your hand, crumbling it up and tossing it in the nearest garbage can. he misses but makes no attempt to pick it up, keeping you pinned between him and the table with no qualms about it.
“you missed,” you point out obviously.
a smirk crosses his lips as he lets out a hum, bringing his hand up to smooth out a piece of your hair.
“i’m gonna ask again,” he mumbles lowly in your ear, his large body and deep voice quickly making your breaths quicken.
“how could you think you’d bother me when i spent my entire weekend studying for that test?” he asks, his hands snaking down your body before gently resting onto your hips.
him pulling you closer causes another shaky sigh to leave you, your low, warning mumble of his name only making him smirk. he shouldn’t like this so much, how you sound so sweet and flustered and are allowing him have you like this.
“that was all for you, angel. not for me or the teacher or my parents or anyone else. just you. because i wanna hang out with you.”
you swallow the nervous lump in your throat as you raise your eyes to meet his, the playfulness that was in them turning the slightest bit dark. something in them making you lick over your lips as you try to calm your racing heart.
“you won’t even know when i’m there. how am i gonna find you?”
it’s the worst excuse you could have ever thought of but you’re not surprised since yeonjun was pressed against your body and breathing down your neck the way he was.
he chuckled lowly like he also knew it was the worst excuse you could’ve thought of, taking your phone from the table. he slides it open and looks to you, his eyebrow raised when you just continue to stare at him blankly.
then you remember, like every other teenager in the world, you have a lock on your phone.
“0319.”
he smirks at how easily you give it up, tapping a few buttons on the screen before handing it back to you.
“i put my number in there. text me when you’re there,
so even with a pit in your stomach and anxiety coursing through your veins, you go to his new contact name and type out “i’m here.”
you’re faintly aware of the fighting couple’s voices growing louder, his deep groans mixed with her higher pitched whines causing you to look over.
“i saw you touch her waist!” the girl yelps, her hands on her hips with a very obvious look of distaste. “so obviously you didn’t mind! maybe you should dance with her the rest of the night!”
“maybe i will, since you’re so god damn annoying,” he yells back, your lips falling into a frown.
the girl meets your gaze and it’s then you recognize her as a girl in your grade. she’s from the popular group but is one of the nicer ones, always smiling politely at other students and listening to teachers during their lessons.
she almost looks embarrassed to be caught in this scenario, a broken smile crossing her face before her boyfriend notices your gaze; you don’t recognize him, so you think he must be in yeonjun’s grade.
“what the fuck are you looking at?”
your cheeks flush as you immediately snap your head away, quickly becoming scared and uncomfortable. you can hear her chastising him but just want to be away as soon as possible, the prospect of this drunk man cursing at you somehow worse than a house full of strangers.
yeonjun hasn’t answered your text but you still take a deep breath as you walk toward the front door, immediately hit with the scent of alcohol, b.o. and weed. there’s loud music blaring from the speakers and making the house vibrate, bodies littered throughout the house as they all talk loudly and dance.
your eyes scan the room for his pink hair, stomach sinking when you see no sign of him.
is he even here yet? he told you he was coming at nine but could he be running late? or did he forget entirely, ignore your text as a joke and now you have to-
“hey. how do i know you?”
the first thing you see is purple hair and you’re immediately thrown back into the crowded cafeteria all those months ago. when you so boldly went up to yeonjun with tears in your eyes and he was quick to pull you away.
you remember the boy in front of you asking who you were, the same curiosity in his eyes now as you stand in his house looking extremely uncomfortable and out of place.
“i... my name’s y/n,” you begin quietly, the boy barely able to hear you over the music and loud chatter. “i had to talk to yeonjun during lunch once so i went up to your table and-”
“well shit, so you’re her.”
there’s a smirk on his face and gleam in his eye, like he knows something you don’t. you cock your head to the side in confusion, watching as his smirk widens and he nods his head approvingly.
“his tutor, right? he told me about you.”
“oh... yeah,” you say quietly, because yeah, that would make sense - his friends probably wonder where he goes during his free period now; there’s a few beats of awkward silence before he speaks up again.
“so what are you doing here?”
your cheeks flush and you wish you could blame the stuffiness of his house, looking to him as you stutter out that yeonjun invited you.
“did he now,” he hums, his eyes roaming your face and stopping on your cheeks. he doesn’t know what exactly yeonjun wants from a girl like you but he has to be honest in saying he sees the appeal.
“follow me then, sweetheart. you want a drink?”
you shake your head before following behind him, making eye contact with one too many intimidating boys and girls before landing on your feet. everyone’s in pretty heeled boots and crop tops, dancing and singing and grinding like they don’t have any cares in the world.
like they’re not terrified and dreading being here, even with the knowledge that the attractive boy they may or may not have developed a crush on is lingering around.
“oh, yeonjunnie,” you hear soonbin whine sarcastically, your eyes shooting up just in time to see his familiar black attire. his pink hair is poking out of his black beanie, the chain around his neck hanging low as he turns to look at his friend.
“i found someone for you,” the boy says before yeonjun can respond, bringing you around to the front.
you’re in the middle of both boys who tower over you and you’re not sure if you’ve ever felt more threatened; especially because when yeonjun looks at you, you’d think he didn’t know your name.
because he doesn’t give you a hi or a smile or even a flicker of recognition in his gaze.
he looks at you and simply says, “well, shit, i didn’t think you’d actually come,” with such a handsomely conniving smirk, you’re not sure what to think in that moment.
because it seems as if all your silly, irrational fears are coming true in this moment. very much like the movies you’ve seen and scenarios you’ve pictured where you’re humiliated at a party or by the popular boy.
but his smile and his words seemed so genuine. he’s seemed so genuine getting to know you these past few months, how could he have faked it so well?
the way your face drops and cheeks warm cause his heart to break a little, still all too aware of the questioning eyes and lingering looks thrown your way.
“didn’t you invite her?” soobin questions, looking between you and him and noting how embarrassed you look.
“i did,” is all yeonjun responds. no rhyme or reason or answer as to why he did. just that he did. so it could very well be a joke.
“well then, welcome, y/n,” soobin responds, reaching his hand out to you. “i’m soobin, in case we weren’t formally introduced.”
you give him a tight smile, yeonjun’s piercing gaze on yours as you take soobin’s large hand in yours.
“nice to meet you.”
your voice is soft and shaky and brings more heat to your cheeks, wanting to die when soobin rips up one of his friends for you to sit on the couch.
“i don’t mind standing,” you insist, shaking your head and offering a small smile to the other boy.
“no, no, pretty girls shouldn’t stand,” soobin says with a smirk, catching the way yeonjun’s eyes roll and jaw clenches; it all goes unnoticed to you, though, too busy sitting down and looking at your hands nervously folded into one another.
“so y/n,” soobin says, sitting down across from you and leaning forward the same way yeonjun does during his tutoring sessions. “what’s it like to tutor this idiot?”
his words are laced with affection, as are his actions as he ruffles yeonjun’s beanie playfully, but they still make you frown. still make you wanna defend him in front of others and ensure that he’s not an idiot.
“he’s great actually,” you say softly, lips pulled up in a soft smile. “very smart and learns fast. definitely not an idiot.”
you look to the boy to see him staring blankly at you, heart sinking in your chest; you’re becoming increasingly uncomfortable in this environment and a big part of it as to do with his attitude.
you weren’t expecting him to be overly excited, kiss your feet upon seeing you arrive or proclaim an irrational excitement. but it kind of seems as if, right now, he could care less that you’re here.
“ahh, that’s cool then,” soobin smiles. “you’re a year younger than us, right?”
you can only hum a small “mhm,” yeonjun’s gaze burning into your face causing you to look at him.
it’s the same soft, wide-eyed look you give him during your sessions but right now, it’s making him feel far too unsettled. like people seeing him with you are gonna show them a different side to him he has yet to acknowledge.
“why’d you decide to come?” he asks, not being able to stop the words; he already knows the answer, he basically begged you too.
and because you’ve been nothing but sweet and soft to him, he’s not surprised when you don’t throw it in his face that he’s the one who enforced this. that he studied for nights to pass that test so you’d feel inclined to come.
“i thought it’d be fun,” you say sweetly, i thought we’d be able to have fun outside of school like you claimed to have wanted. “i don’t really come to parties a lot.”
“i can’t imagine why, you seem really sweet and funny,” soobin says, a flirty smile on his face that makes a blush creep up on your cheeks; he’s so bold and confident, you don’t know both of them do it. “you should come to more.”
seeing that shade of pink on your cheeks from someone else angers yeonjun more than he cares to admit, throwing his friend a dirty look before growling at him to shut up.
“why? she’s sweet, isn’t she? maybe i need to be tutored too,” soobin says, throwing a smile your way as he plops down in the spot next to you. “what periods are you free? maybe we can go out for lunch and have a session.”
“i... i’m not allowed to leave for lunch.”
that’s a school rule - only seniors are allowed to leave for lunch. but with the way soobin laughs and yeonjun hold back a smirk, the other people littered around also letting out soft chuckles, it appears that’s something not many people follow.
“you can with me,” soobin assures, patting your knee softly as he sends another charming smile your way. “i’ll make sure you don’t get in trouble.”
you smile in an effort to downplay your embarrassment and discomfort, an annoyed sigh leaving yeonjun as he rises from his seat. he looks even more big and broad surrounded by these people for some reason, in his element where he fits in like a glove.
it’s even more evident that you don’t fit in here - at least in the library, that’s a place you belong. the quiet, the smell of books, the solidarity, a keen sense of-
“i’m getting another drink.”
yeonjun’s words are short and deep as he quickly gets up, hauling ass to the kitchen before anyone can even respond to him. his friend must see the look on your face too, a small pout on your lips that has the boy frowning next to you.
“don’t worry about him, he’s grouchy tonight,” soonbin says reassuringly, wrapping his arm around you affectionately. “some girl stood him up.”
the first thing you feel is a blow to your chest, an unfamiliar pain right in the center as you register soobin’s words; he begged you to come tonight but was waiting for another girl.
probably one of the many college girls, who are prettier and funnier and more charismatic than you.
so, really, you can’t be surprised. you were silly to think he liked you in the way you thought, in the way you’ve come to discover you like him because he makes you smile and laugh and feel warm inside.
but even so, you’re hurt.
you’re hurt and embarrassed and feel humiliated even though no one knows the real reason you came here and stepped way out of your comfort zone. thank god for that, you think, because it’d be even more horrible if people knew you came for yeonjun, all while he was waiting for someone else.
“oh,” you manage to squeak out, a soft look on your face despite the pain and embarrassment inside of you. “that’s too bad.”
“yeah,” soobin says, looking at you with sympathetic eyes you know you can’t trust. “he’ll be good, though.”
you bet he will, you think, because that’s just who choi yeonjun is. he doesn’t care who he strings along or makes believe is special - he’s gonna do what he wants when he wants it with no regard for how it effects other.
even a sweet little meek tutor he was able to get under his thumb the first day he met her.
when yeonjun returns, he can tell immediately that something is wrong with you. your hands are clasped together and you’re biting the inside of your cheek, fiddling nervously as you listen in on the conversation around you.
you meet his gaze and he’s quick to look away, one because he got caught and two because he doesn’t know if he can handle the look in your eye right now.
you’re always almost about to make him crack, break down into being someone worthy of you, and he doesn’t wanna do that tonight. doesn’t wanna show everyone here that, if he wants to, he can be a worthy person.
you’re a second away from breaking before soobin asks if you wanna dance, a tight smile on your face as you shake your head.
“i... i’m actually gonna go outside for a sec,” you say, knowing full well you’re gonna book it to your car and never return. “it’s hot in here. i need some air.”
“there’s plenty of air in here, angel,” soobin remarks, your eyes widening at the term.
it sounds different coming from his mouth, not as deep and melodic and it doesn’t let off a bunch of butterflies in your stomach. you’re too busy giggling softly as you shake your head that you don’t hear the deep, low noise of distaste leave yeonjun’s mouth.
you only see him grab soobin’s arm when he tries to get up to follow you, a lowly growled “let her go,” that makes your eyebrows pull together; you don’t know if he’s trying to hurt your feelings on purpose but he’s certainly doing it a lot tonight.
it feels like you can finally take a deep breath when you get outside, no one around except the chilly air and starry sky. it makes you feel a bit better, sinking down on the stairs and humming contently when your hands meet the cold concrete.
you passed by the dancing people and laughing, smiley couples inside and felt silly for coming here. silly for thinking yeonjun wanted you in his life without him getting something out of it.
what would he want from you anyway? what could you possibly give him when he’s already had so much better?
tears prick your eyes and you bury your face in your hands, taking deep calming breaths so the harsh winter air doesn’t feel like it’s burning you.
you avoided boys and feelings like this for so long and with good reason; you’re too sensitive and naive and always try to see the good in people.
you’ll put your feelings aside in order to spare someone else - you saw it in the beginning, pushing down your qualms about lying to the teacher to further appease a boy you found cute.
and when you put it like that, it sounds really fucking stupid. it sounds like, maybe, you’re just-
“didn’t i tell you you’re too pretty to cry over stupid things?”
your first instinct is to turn around when you hear his voice, his tall, dark figure looming behind you.
you should probably smile shyly or say that you’re not crying but you can only stay silent, turning back around to avoid his intense gaze and your own humiliation.
the same way he should probably go inside and carry on with his night the way he usually would. drinking and flirting and dancing before he probably brought someone home or into the bathroom.
when he moves behind you, that’s what you think he’s about to do.
but then he’s walking around your sitting frame and bending down to you, looking up at you from his crouched position. his hand reaches out to touch your face, forcing it up so you can only stare at him with teary eyes and flushed cheeks.
there’s a frown on his face as he runs his thumb across your cold cheek, his gentle touch a shocking contrast to his harsher appearance.
“what happened?”
what happened? you think, not used to feeling so snarky and hurt. what happened was that he got your hopes up, was nice to you and invited you and kept making you feel special, just for them to come crashing down.
but then the more you think about it, the silence between you getting longer and longer, the guiltier you feel - because your feelings aren’t his fault.
you taking his looks and kindness and lingering touches for something deeper was a mistake. you know the kind of boy he is and have still been foolish enough to fall for him.
“nothing,” you grumble, a wet, humorless laugh leaving you as you shake your head. “i’m just being silly.”
but you can’t look up from your feet, your eyes roaming the cracks in the concrete, and that’s how he knows you’re lying; that, and because he knows he was being a fucking dick.
but seeing you in this environment was weird for him. seeing people look at you and look at him, specifically soobin who got it out of him that he might like you, was unfamiliar for him.
the same way this was unfamiliar for you - which is why he wants you to talk to him.
“what happened, y/n?” he asks, voice a tad bit harsher and deeper as he cranes his neck down. he hears your harsh, nervous intake of breath and resists the urge to reach out and touch you.
you need to answer him before he can touch you.
but you never do. not after ten seconds and not after a minute, prompting him to let out a sigh and pop his neck to the side. your face pulls into a grimace at the crack that sounds through the air.
his cold hand touching your face causes you to jump, your eyes meeting and a lump forming in your throat; his eyes fool you too much and that’s exactly the problem here.
“talk to me, angel, c’mon.”
your eyes start to burn when a harsh wind passes, tears stinging your eyes and coldness rushing over your face. why does he have to keep calling you that? why does his voice have to sound so sincere and why does he have to look at you the way he is right now?
like he cares so much and hopes those tears aren’t because you’re sad.
“there’s nothing to talk about, yeonjun,” you blurt out, anger and humiliation seep into your tone before you can stop it. you let out a sigh as you try to get it together, taking a few calming breaths before shaking your head.
“just go back inside, okay? i’m going home. t-thank you for inviting me but i-”
“i don’t want you to go.”
he blurts the words so loud and fast, it even sounds a little awkward to your ears. but he sounds and looks almost desperate, your eyebrows pulling together and heart sinking as you take a deep breath.
because you know you can’t stop the next words from tumbling out of your mouth.
“well, it doesn’t seem like you want me here.”
your words are soft and quiet but they still physically pain his chest, his eyes roaming your face as he brings them to your cold cheeks. he wipes under your eye when wetness forms, the cold biting wind rushing around you both.
“i want you,” he reassures quietly, his voice just as low and gravely as he speaks hushly to you; he thinks it’s the most honest and true thing he’s ever said to someone. “i want you more than you know.”
“then why are you acting like that?” you question sweetly, the pout on your lips nearly making him groan and cover them with his. “you were being... mean. i felt like... you didn’t want me here at all. or didn’t want people to know you invited me.”
your words break his heart but he also knows they’re true, his fingers caressing your face gently. he notices then how freezing and red it is, looking you over and rising from his feet.
you look disappointed that he’s gonna leave, your face falling and eyebrows furrowing before he reaches his hand down to you.
“let’s talk in my car,” he clarifies, nodding his head toward his vehicle. “it’s freezing out here.”
you bite down on your lip, contemplating it for a few seconds before another harsh gust of wind passes. you let out a sigh as you take his hand, grateful to enter his car the moment you sit down.
he turns it on and the engine roars to life, his fingers reaching out to turn on your heated seat.
the next few moments only consist of the car’s engine warming up as you wait for the heat to kick on, you and yeonjun stealing glances back and forth at each other; you both miss the others gaze by a few seconds and if anyone were to be watching, it’d be obvious you both were nervous right now.
dancing along the line you’re both nervous to cross for entirely different reasons - you because you somehow don’t think he reciprocates those feelings and him because he knows you deserve more.
but in this moment, he decides he has to be selfish. watching you with a flush in your cheeks and your lip drawn into your mouth.
“i like you, y/n. that’s why i wanted you here,” his voice says, breaking the silence in a way that almost seems more terrifying. “but that’s also why i didn’t... want people knowing.”
your eyebrows pull together and immediately your mind goes to him being embarrassed. embarrassed that you’re younger and quiet and that no one really knows who the hell you are.
he’s infamous and cool and a senior, obviously he should be with someone similiar. like a popular girl in his grade or a college girl or maybe even a the girl who stood him up.
“not because of you, angel, but because of...”
“you?” you interrupt, a snark in your tone neither of you except; but you’ve heard this line one too many times, not expecting to ever ever hear it real life, let alone toward you.
“it’s not you, it’s me?” you ask, a gentle, faux smile on your face as you shake your head at him. “is that what you’re about to say?”
he clenches his jaw so he doesn’t smirk, resisting the urge to laugh as he looks you over carefully. it’s obvious your smile’s fake because it doesn’t meet your eyes, the teary glint in them every bit sad as they are frustrated.
but of course, you’re too sweet to treat him as he deserves.
his hand reaches out to grab your chin, his thumb and pointer finger on either side as he forces your gaze to his. his smirk comes through when he hears your sharp intake of breath, tongue peeking out to lick at his lips.
“if you let me talk, angel, you’d know what i was about to say,” he hums quietly, his breath fanning into your face at his closeness. it smells of mint and beer, it should probably be gross but surprisingly isn’t.
his words successfully stir you into silence, partially from fear and partially because the look in his eye has caused you to grow warm all over; and once he sees that, he begins to speak again.
“i didn’t want people knowing because i didn’t want anyone fucking with you, y/n. because if they did, i’d have to ruin them and then everyone would see it.”
“see what?” you ask quietly, the air between you thick and buzzing as you hold his gaze.
hold it so adamantly and intensely, you’re barely able to register him leaning closer. inch by inch by inch, until his lips are pressed against yours and you’re kissing choi yeonjun in the front seat of his car.
you’re stiff and awkward and don’t really know what to do but it’s fine because he laces his fingers in your hair and pulls you closer. parts your lips with his tongue which causes you to kiss him back with a slow, unsure pace.
but it only causes him to smile, retracting his tongue and keeping it sweet before he pulls back and rests his head on your forehead.
“why i decided to spend my free period during senior year getting fucking tutored, angel,” he chuckles lowly, his hand running through your hair gently.
the soft look in his eye causes you to swallow nervously, words caught in your throat as you stare at him wide-eyed.
“i... i thought you... you said it was...” you let out a shaky breath as you try to get your thoughts together, completely unable to remember your conversation from weeks ago. when he cryptically asked you your thoughts about just why he agreed to stop lying to the teacher and do the sessions;
so instead, your cheeks warm and you’re hit with the reminder that you just had your first kiss with him. and that you were probably absolutely terrible at it.
“that was my first kiss. i... i’m sorry if it was bad.”
a small smile crosses yeonjun’s face as he shakes his head at you, thumb dragging down your cheek gently to feel the warm, smooth skin of your cheek.
“it was perfect, angel, you’re perfect.” he mumbles, your eyes widening and heart stuttering as a ball forms in your throat. “so perfect that i thought you stood me up and weren’t coming. so let’s go on date. a real date, this time.”
in the beginning of the school year, you would’ve never imagined your study sessions with yeonjun would be turning into dinner dates; but as you sit in your room and get ready, your heart pounding and palms sweaty, that’s exactly what’s happened.
it’s the fourth date you guys are going on and you can officially say that you really, really have feelings for yeonjun. you’re still shy and nervous around him but it’s only because he’s more comfortable with you too.
he takes your hand with ease and laces your fingers together that he was meant to do that.
he’ll shamelessly peck a kiss to your lips and deepen it at any given time, your cheeks burning and embarrassed voice telling him to stop when he did it in the middle of the bowling alley last week.
he’ll watch you and smile at you and just touch you with the softest of intentions, you almost can’t believe this is the bad boy everyone claims is so mean and heartless.
you say almost because you still don’t do it in school. it’s still a somewhat... secret fondness you have for one another. he’ll play with your fingers under the table during sessions and wink at you in the hallway but that’s about it.
he’d probably never kiss you in the hallway or cafeteria but you also wouldn’t want that. it would draw way too much attention and probably leave your face with a permanent, embarrassing flush.
“are you going out?” you hear your mom ask, her head peeking in before a smile brightens her face. “aw, you look beautiful, y/n. yeonjun must be coming soon.”
the topic of dating had been undeniably embarrassing with your parents, mostly because they couldn’t believe you were showing an interest. but they welcomed yeonjun with open arms, insisting to meet him at the front door to ensure he was a nice boy.
and oh had he really showed you just how charming he could be.
“mom,” you whine in embarrassment, her laugh echoing in your room as he throws her arms up defensively.
“you guys be careful. it’s supposed to rain soon.”
you nod your head as you finish getting ready, smoothing over your hair once more before your phone vibrates against your desk. he texted you that he was on his way with a smiley face and heart, sending one back before looking at yourself in the mirror.
you don’t know what the hell he sees you or why he likes you but you know if you dwell on it, you’ll talk yourself out of everything. convince yourself that this is all a joke and he’s gonna turn around and say he pities you.
even though, when you brought this up to him, he was quick to calm those worries.
“c-can i ask you something, yeonjun?”
you were walking home from the movies with your hands intertwined.
the cold, harsh winter had blossomed into spring, the night air growing less frigid; there was a still a bit of a chill but it was nothing a jacket and yeonjun’s warm body couldn’t fix.
“of course, angel,” he mumbles lowly, a small smile on his face as you stop in your tracks. he’s quick to follow, eyebrow raising and body turning so he can look down at you.
he cocks his head to the side when you don’t speak for a few seconds, his lips falling into a pout as his hand tightens in yours.
“you okay?” he asks quietly, thumb tracing small circles into your skin.
you lick over your lips nervously, feeling silly for the need to ask this question but it’s one you can’t help. it wracks your mind over and over again and it feels like you’re about to-
“why do you like me?” you blurt out, unaware you even said the words until you notice yeonjun’s face morph into one of surprise.
his mouth opens and closes for a moment, brows pulled together as he tries to make sense of your words.
“i mean, what’s not to like?” he asks softly, taking you by the hips and pulling you closer to him.
you’re in the middle of the sidewalk but there’s no one around, the sky dark and streets desolate as you both meet each others gazes - yours full of doubt and his full of confusion.
“i... i don’t know,” you mumble sheepishly, looking down at your intertwined hands. “i just... it doesn’t really make sense.”
“why? because i’m older? because you’re smart and i’m not?” he teases, your panicked eyes immediately meeting his.
“no! more like the exact opposite,” you clarify as you shake your head. “because you’re popular and attractive and charming and i’m just.... not.”
his eyes roam your face and his heart sinks when he sees the doubt and nerves continue to grow. how you really feel this way about yourself and are pondering the idea that someone like him would want someone like you, when really, it should be the opposite.
“y/n, i’m lucky that you’re settling for me,” the pink-haired boy laughs out, squeezing your hips reassuringly. “you’re good and sweet and so fucking beautiful. i wanted you the second i saw you, you know, but knew i shouldn’t.”
your eyes widen at his words, shock behind them that has a laugh bubbling from his chest.
“in lunch. i noticed you the first day and thought you were an angel,” he says, the nickname he always calls you particularly getting the butterflies going tonight.
“i could tell that you were good. you just have this.. aura, y/n, and i knew that i would taint it. i knew you deserved someone way better. because i’m not good like you.”
"yes you are,” you respond immediately, a frown appearing on your face as you shake your head. “you pretend not to be, but you are, yeonjun. i can see it.”
“you can see it because i wanna be good around you, baby. i wanna be someone good for you.”
tears prick your eyes as a lump forms in your throat, overwhelmed and unsure of how to respond to that. he smiles softly as he takes in your face, leaning forward to press his lips against your forehead.
he inhales your sweet, vanilla smell while you take in his cologne and faint scent of cigarettes, swallowing down the lump and praying you don’t burst into tears on the spot.
“don’t doubt yourself, angel,” yeonjun mumbles against your head, puling you closer until your flush against his warm, broad body. “i’m the one who got lucky here.”
even though it meant wasting away in the fucking library.
“the library isn’t that bad, yeonjun,” you whine ten minutes later in his car, heat blasting and music low as he drives to the restaurant. one hand’s on the steering wheel while the other’s laced with yours, your body turned in his black leather seat to look over and chastise him.
he confessed to you that your sessions were the first time he’d ever stepped foot in that library; he hadn’t even been positive that school had a library until he walked through the door that day.
“it smells like dust and the librarian’s a bitch.”
“she is not!” you squeal, smacking his arm lightly as you throw him a chastising look. “she’s just a little... misunderstood. people don’t respect her space.”
even you can admit sometimes she does go a little overboard; you saw her once lecture a younger student for a half hour because they mistakenly put a book on the wrong shelf.
“you’re too nice, baby. maybe even a little biased, since you’re the only one she seems to tolerate.”
“probably because i’m there every day,” you tease lightly, your eyes widening playfully before a loud crack of thunder causes you to jump in your seat.
your mom hadn’t been kidding when she said there was gonna be a storm tonight. you’d ran to yeonjun’s car shielding the top of your head, rain pelting down and wind howling as your mom’s “be careful!” got drowned out.
and right now, it only seemed to be getting worse.
“you scared of thunder?”
you hear the smirk in yeonjun’s voice and resist the urge to stick your tongue out, not about to admit that, yes, you’re nearly an adult but still terrified of rain and thunder.
“no, of-of course not,” you grumble, snatching your hand away from his. “it just surprised me.”
yeonjun looks over at you and sees the nervousness all your face, not commenting as he silently snatches your hand back. he intertwines your fingers as he raises your hand to his mouth, pressing his lips against it while he drives through the rain.
it’s getting considerably heavier by every second, his foot pressing off the gas every time he drives past a puddle.
“i used to be scared of the rain, you know.”
you look over at him and see him looking peacefully at the road, pink strands of hair hanging in his face.
“oh, yeah? when you were like five?”
“twelve,” he corrects with a smile, doing his best to distract you from the chaos outside. “i used to wake up crying, sometimes. i know that’s hard to believe now. because i’m so cool and what not.”
“oh please,” you giggle out, the sweet sound filling the car also distracting him from the pounding of rain and crackling of thunder; he’s outgrown his fear of storms but even he can admit this one is a little bit scary right now.
“what, you don’t think? i’ll have you know-”
the skidding of his tires mixed with your frightened screams is the next thing he hears, a strangled “yeonjun!” in the background as he attempts to take control of his car.
there’s the boom of thunder and lightning and loud blares of horns before everything goes still, his body acting on auto pilot as he safely pulls off on the side of the highway.
his first concern isn’t damage to his car or the heightening storm outside - it’s you in his passenger seat, eyes closed tight and tears on your face.
“are you okay?” yeonjun’s voice frantically asks, barely able to feel the sensation of his his warm hands on your face. your heart’s pounding and your hands are shaking and for a moment, you thought you were about to die.
your eyes pop open to meet his and the concern in them only makes your eyes water more, bottom lip trembling as you nod your head.
but even though you’re nodding he sees you’re not. he sees you trying to catch your breath and your eyes looking back and forth nervously outside.
“hey, hey, angel. it’s okay. i’m here,” he hums lowly, his thumbs running over your face soothingly. “i’m here and you’re okay.”
you attempt to catch and slow your breaths as your eyes never leave his, his only leaving you to quickly assess you for injuries.
“i know that was scary. i’m sorry. i should’ve been more careful.”
“it wasn’t your fault,” you squeak out, swallowing the knot in your throat as you shake your head. your eyes roam his and you pout when there’s guilt and sorrow in his eyes, your own hand snaking down to hold his hand.
“are you okay?”
his eyes soften as he cups your face and brings you to closer to him, a quiet “yes, baby,” leaving his mouth before he places his lips on your forehead.
you breathe in his scent and he breathes in yours, not allowing himself to pull away until he feels you relax under him.
“i’m gonna drive us to my house, okay?” he says, his eyes back on you looking cautious. “we can order food. i just don’t want us driving in this if it’s gonna get worse.”
you nod your head before reaching down to grasp one of his hands tightly, his small smile meeting you before he carefully pulls back onto the highway.
the storm gets substantially worse as he makes his way to his house, hand grasping yours tightly as he drives slow and steady.
he’s flooded with relief when he finally pulls in his driveway, running around the passenger side door to help you out. his hand doesn’t leave the small of your back until you’re in his room, a big space with white walls and black furniture that doesn’t surprise you in the slightest.
contrary to most teenage boy’s rooms, his smells really good. like a mix of his cologne, laundry detergent and a distinct smell you’ve just deemed as his natural scent.
it’s comforting and makes you feel at ease, licking over your lips nervously as you realize this is the first time you’ve been in a boy’s room.
“you want anything to drink?”
“i...i’m good,” you say, sitting on his bed as you look around.
there’s no decor on the walls except for a large flat screen tv across from his bed and above his dresser, a pile of clothes off to the side.
“sorry, i didn’t expect to have anyone over so it’s a little messy.”
you look over at him sitting beside you, a sheepish smile on his face. you think it’s the first time he’s ever sounded somewhat... nervous and out of his comfort zone.
maybe because he knows you’ve never been in this situation before.
“it’s okay, i like your room,” you smile, spreading your fingers out across his soft, dark comforter. “it’s very fitting.”
“oh yeah?” he smirks, inching closer to you and making your heart speed up. “and why’s that?”
there’s that dark playfulness you’re so used to seeing swarming behind his eyes, just as teasing as it is intense that makes you hold back a squeak. he quirks his eyebrow as he moves closer, pink tongue peeking out to roll over his lips.
you can’t help when your eyes fall to them, missing the feel of them on yours.
you two haven’t gone past making out, a clash of tongues and teeth that have you quietly moaning into his mouth. but when your body acts on its own accord, pushing yourself closer to him or grasping at the bottom of his shirt, he always stops you.
“what are you doin’ baby?”
you were in his car after a tutoring session, the parking lot of the school completely deserted. your cheeks flush and you immediately draw your hands back, lowering your head slightly as embarrassment took over.
“i...i thought that was...don’t you wanna...”
because clothes come off, that’s how it starts - you know that much.
and you can feel how much he wants to go further, the hardness under you that scared you at first now the thing begging you to go further.
you feel wanted and desired and even though you’re scared, you want to go further.
“we don’t have to do anything, baby. this is fine,” he says softly, his hand reaching up to cup your cheek.
“but i want to,” you mumble, not even sure if he can hear your words because of how quiet you are.
you know he must though because he draws his fingers under your chin to lift your face, eyes heavy of fondness and arousal making your stomach flutter more.
your first instinct is to assume he doesn’t want you - why else would he stop you? but you can see in his eyes that he does...right? because it really does look like that.
what other reason would he have to stop you though? maybe he just doesn’t-
“whatever you’re thinking is probably wrong,” yeonjun mutters, tightening his hold on you and bringing you closer to him. “i don’t wanna go further with you while we’re in the car, angel. you deserve more than that.”
“hm?” you hear him hum, ripping you from your memories.
you look from his lips to his eyes watching you with lust, the beginnings of your nonsense words cut off when he kisses you.
your heart flutters and stomach swoops immediately, kissing back with an embarrassing amount of fervor. he smirks against your lips as he pulls you on his lap, your arms circling around his shoulders.
his tongue traces your bottom lip before you feel it in your mouth, daringly meeting his back in a way you’d never done before. it causes him to bring his hands to your hips, squeezing and massaging them with his large hands.
“look at you,” he mutters almost condescendingly, falling back onto his bed and causing you to squeal. you’re holding yourself above him and his eyebrow is quirked, red lips puffy and pink hair messy causing your heart to flutter mercilessly.
“if i didn’t know any better, baby, i’d think you’re real eager tonight.”
you bite down on your lip as you adjust yourself on him, your hips straddling his and brushing over him. your building heat is right under him and it takes everything in you not to moan at just the thought, his hands strong and firm.
and just as you’re about to answer, tell him that, yes, even though you’re not familiar with.... any of this, you’re eager and ready, your stomach growls and ruins the moment.
it causes a smile to light up his face, a deep chuckle leaving him before he flips you over. he’s hovering above you now, no parts of your bodies touching except for his hand a few inches away from your head.
“or you’re hunger, my mistake, angel,” he says with a smirk, pressing a peck to your nose sweetly. “what do you want?”
you spend the next hour laying in his bed waiting for the pizza, the storm just as wild outside as it was when you were in the car. you bit down on a squeal threatening to leave your mouth every time there was a terrifying boom, your body shimming closer to yeonjun’s.
he smiled against your head and welcomed your body closer, bringing your head to his chest.
“you’re cute,” you hear him mumble, the swooping in your stomach causing you to feel warm.
you look up at him and smile shyly, tucking your head closer into his chest. you have to hide your growing smile when you feel his lips brush your head, deep content hums leaving his chest.
the doorbell ringing rips you two apart, his mumbled “i’ll be right back,’ causing you to sit up. you brush your fingers through your hair as you sit up, looking around his dark room and feeling something brewing in your stomach.
you feel every bit as nervous as you do excited and eager in his room with him right now.
it’s still scary because you’re new to this. because you’ve never done anything like this before and you know you don’t know what you’re doing.
but a part of you wants to kiss him on his bed. go further than he’s allowed you to because if he only didn’t want to be with you in the car, this should solve that problem, right?
you’ve never felt as desired and warm as you have with him these past months. no one’s ever looked at you the way he does or have made you feel the way he does.
you’re usually too scared or uneasy to talk to people or form a connection; but from the moment you met him, you were able to do that. a part of you just felt inclined to help him, be a person that he knows would be there for him even if it meant in the form of helping him study or motivate him.
you never would’ve expected for him to reciprocate your feelings. nor would you have expected to be in this current situation, want and need bubbling in your stomach at the thought of yeonjun doing-
“pizza’s here,” yeonjun says, popping his head through the door holding a box of pizza.
you smile upon seeing it, your stomach growling at the smell; if he hears it, he doesn’t say anything. just walks over and places the box on his bed, offering you a slice that you take immediately.
“thank you,” you squeak, bringing the food to your mouth.
he watches you for a few seconds, suddenly all too aware of him looking at you. you raise an eyebrow as you chew, a shy look coming over your face that causes him to smile.
“what?”
“nothing,” he says, shaking his head as he takes out his own slice. “my mom called me and said they can’t come home tonight because of the storm.”
you take the time to chew your food as you take in his words, the fluttering in your stomach a mix of nerves and excitement.
“oh.”
“yeah...” he hums, his eyes roaming your face; he doesn’t want his next suggestion to make you uncomfortable but he also thinks it would be best. for both of you.
“and i don’t know if i should drive you home, angel. it’s supposed to get really bad. do you... wanna stay over?”
there’s a lump in your throat for all the reasons there shouldn’t be.
not because this is your first time sleeping over a boy’s house or the fact that his parents aren’t home. or because you’re gonna have to call your mom and say you’re sleeping over a friend’s house.
or even because you don’t know what to expect tonight.
it’s only there because you know, in a new form of acting on your deeper desires and not suppressing yourself to just being some innocent girl, you wanna get railed.
“i... i guess i can do that,” you say, some nervousness still behind your voice because when it comes down to it, you’re unfamiliar with this situation.
“well yeah, but do you want to, baby?” he asks with a small smirk, his hand reaching up to toy with your hair.
his long fingers run through the strands before tucking them behind your ear, his hand slinking down to rest on your neck.
“if you don’t feel comfortable, i’ll take you home later,” he says, thumb running across your skin slowly. breath catches in your throat when he leans closer to you, his lingering scent and broadness causing you to bite down on your lip.
“i just thought it’d be nice to lay with you tonight. or wake up with you.”
“or let us go further since we’re not in the car.”
you don’t know who’s more shocked by your words but you know you’re definitely more embarrassed, a rampant blush crossing your cheeks as you attempt to hide in his shoulder.
he’s quick to pull you away with a small “tsk,” the smirk on his lips quickly widening despite the soft look in his eyes.
you bite back the noise threatening to leave your mouth when he wraps his hand around you hair, the slightest of stings ripping through your scalp when he pulls you forward.
“go further?” he asks lowly, his eyes peering down at you only making you feel more warm and flustered.
words are caught in your mouth and you can’t find it in you to say anything. not only because you’re too embarrassed but you don’t even know what to say.
you know you want more than kissing and that there’s always a building pressure between your legs when he pulls you on his lap.
you know on more than one occasion, you’ve wanted his hands that’d rest on your hips to go just a little further down. slip in the waistband of your pants and meet the wetness and heat through your underwear.
you’ve wanted to see his pink hair between your legs as you experience getting eaten out of the first time, holding back moans in the crease of your elbow as his tongue explores every inch of you.
you know you want to look up at him with tears in your eyes and a heaving chest, ask if you can please suck him off because you’ve also never done that before.
he can see the arousal and lust clouding your eyes the more the silence elapses, his cock quickly hardening as he takes in the sight of you on his bed ready for him to take you.
it’s just a matter of how and when he’s gonna. how and when you tell him like the good girl he knows you are.
“how much further are you thinking, angel?” his deep voice finally asks, successfully breaking the silence and building the thick tension.
you let out a breathy exhale when he pushes you on your back, the knot in your stomach tightening as he looks down at your body.
“what do you want me to do, huh?” he asks, the smirk and feeling in his chest growing when he sees you start to breathe heavily on his bed. your legs are nearly shaking from the build up in pressure, your tongue licking over your dry lips.
“i... yeonjun...”
he bites back the groan threatening to leave his mouth at you moaning his name, holding himself above your body as he hand spays out against your stomach.
“why are you moaning my name baby? i haven’t even done anything.”
“but... but i want you to. so bad.”
your voice is whiny and pathetic but it’s all it takes for him to snap, his hand moving from your stomach to between your legs.
he can feel the heat and pulse of your pussy and has to suppress his own groan again, completely getting off on the feeling that you, the innocent little tutor he’s been wanting to ruin since he saw you last year, is laid out on his bed and dripping just for him.
“please, yeonjun,” you whine again, completely out of your mind with lust when you feel his hand on you.
he bites down on his lip before he starts gently running his hand over you, barely putting any pressure on you. he’s just relishing in the how only that makes you spread your legs immediately, hips bucking up closer to his hand.
he pulls his hand away and pins your hips to the bed, his face hovering above yours before you can even whine again.
“be patient, angel. or this isn’t gonna work,” he growls lowly, his thumbs running over your pants gently.
“i- i’m sorry,” you gasp out, tears pricking your eyes because this feeling is so new and foreign and overwhelming. “i just... i’m so...”
“you’re so what?”
“i want you,” you say immediately, thinking back to your conversation with him outside of soobin’s house. when the words you’re telling him now are the same ones he told you. “i want you more than you know.”
a scoff leaves his mouth when you say that, remembering those words leaving his own mouth that night.
but the difference here is, he thinks, is that you really didn’t know that.
you didn’t know how just sitting there and smiling at him and talking to him so sweetly was making him want you. your soft smiles and vanilla scent and the wide-eyed look you’d always innocently give him.
but he’s aware of how much you want him, in this moment. he can feel it, smell it, see it. he knows just how much you want him because he wants you the same way.
your pants and underwear are off in one shot, a gasp leaving your mouth when you realize you’re completely bare in front of him.
he’s quick to look at your face to see if you’re okay, that teary wide-eyed look and teeth sinking in your lip greeting him; another whiney and mumbled “touch me,” leaves your mouth before he can ask.
a smile lights up his face that makes your heart jump even through this all, a teasing look in his eye even through the arousal and painful hardness in his pants.
“say please, angel.”
“please touch me, yeonjun. please.”
his fingers are on your clit right after the words leave you, your mouth hanging open and legs spreading when you’re immediately filed with a sense of some relief.
“you’re so wet for me, angel. how long have you wanted this, huh?”
you babble out something you can’t even hear through your pounding ears but it must be something good and polite enough because you feel a finger enter you a few seconds later.
he hisses at the tightness around his finger and has to remember to be gentle with you, fingering you slowly and sweetly as he toys at your clit.
“you’re doing so good, baby. so good for me.”
you cry out a moan that has his fingers moving quicker, curling them just right before you scream out his name; you’ve never ever felt anything like this before.
“yeonjun, oh, my god.”
“i know, baby, it’s okay,” he says, allowing his fingers to work over you and in you for a few seconds before he forces himself to remove them. your head shoots up and the sight almost makes him smile, a frustrated look in your teary eyes that has him cocking his head.
“why did you-”
the fingers just inside you are below your chin, the slickness of his fingers on your skin making you widen your eyes. is that... is he about to make you...
you hold back another moan when you watch him raise his fingers to his own mouth, his eyes rolling back when he tastes you. you don’t know if you’re a little grossed out or even more turned on but you think it must be the latter if the way your legs start to shake again and your lower stomach tightens.
“you taste so fucking sweet, angel. can i eat your pussy?”
he could tell how scared you were when you first got here, not seeing a hint of that fear now but still needing to check before he pulls you on his face and has his way with you.
“y-yes, please, yeonjun, oh my-”
you can’t even get the words out before his hands are taking off your shirt, removing the straps of your bra and pushing them down until your boobs pop out.
perky nipples spring into the air and he can’t stop the groan that leaves him, circling his tongue around each of them before he tells you to unhook it. your eyes meet his for just a few seconds before you reach out to take it off, quickly throwing it on the floor before you, without thinking, cover yourself.
his eyes flash and he immediately snaps out of his trance, placing his hands on your arms but not attempting to move them.
“what are you doing, angel?”
and it’s at this moment, something as silly as him seeing your chest completely naked, that you’re feeling insecure.
you know he’s been with girls before this, college girls who definitely have bigger boobs than you and know what they’re doing. girls who are prettier and sexier and don’t blush or whine at the slightest hint of his touch of them.
“i... i know you’ve been with prettier girls before. an-and i don’t think they’re that nice.”
“angel, i don’t know if i’ve gotten this across enough but you’re the most beautiful girl i’ve ever met,” he says, the sweetest words to ever leave his mouth not even making him blink.
because he needs you to know in this moment that you are. he can’t stand the insecure, fearful look in your eye that he’s not gonna find you desirable because you’re comparing yourself to other people.
“that’s a lie,” you weakly mumble out, tears stinging your eyes because this is so stupid. now you’re ruining the moment and he’s not gonna wanna do this with you. you’re proving just how inexperienced and unfamiliar you are with-
“i don’t lie.”
your eyebrow raises and he can’t help but smirk, the realization that your whole relationship started off lying to your teacher making him let out a deep chuckle.
“i mean i don’t lie to you, angel, i would never lie to you,” he says, reaching down to press a long kiss on your lips. it’s the most intimate kiss you’ve ever had with him, mouths parting on one another like you’re trying to get all your worries and reassurances out on one another.
him that you’re just as desirable as he knows you are and you that you really don’t know what you’re doing but you wanna do this with him.
“you’re beautiful, baby, and if anyone’s not worthy of the other, it’s me.”
his words make your eyebrows pull together, the look in his eye one you’ve never seen before. probably the most vulnerable and honest you’ve seen him look at you.
“but i’m gonna do my best to be, angel, so please... don’t think that,” he says, pulling your arms away from your chest.
he feels relief flood through him when you allow him to do say, his head dipping again to place small pecks on your chest before taking another nipple in his mouth.
he moans around you at the same time you do, throwing your head back against his pillow. your fingers lace through the back of his pink hair and you feel your pussy clenching around nothing, moaning out his name when his tongue carefully and slowly licks around the other neglected one.
“you also have the sweetest pussy i’ve ever tasted,” he mumbles around your nipple, swirling his tongue around it one more time before grabbing your hips and throwing himself on his back.
“so sit on my face, angel. now.”
you have no time to feel hesitant or insecure because, one, he pulls you up before you can do anything else and two, you’re far too eager to feel this for the first time.
his tongue latching onto your clit causes you to moan out his name, trying your best to not buck your hips against his face. but his tongue feels like it’s everywhere, flicking at it your clit and up inside you and quickly making your legs shake around him.
your hazy eyes look down and you see his own looking up at you, a hot arousal in them as you cover the rest of his face with your body. pink strands stick to his forehead and you bite down on your lip so you don’t scream, your eyes rolling back when he eats you out like a man starved.
he’s moaning against you and pulling you closer to his face, your hips bucking into his mouth as you whine out his name over and over.
you’re so out of it and dazed with arousal and need that you don’t even think twice when an idea pops into your head.
you buck your hips a tad harder than usual that he disconnects his mouth from you, about to ask if he hurt you somehow before you flip over on his face. your body leans over his stomach until your mouth is by the tight groin of his sweatpants, clumsily slipping down his boxers until his cock springs free.
it’s hard and red and looks completely neglected, screaming to be relieved by you.
so even though you have no idea what you’re doing, only guided by works of fiction and things you hear in the hallway, you wrap your mouth around the head of his cock.
you hear him growl at your name but only continue to suck him off, your tongue circling around him as your mouth moves up and down. you smile when he moans against your pussy just so moan around his a few seconds later, like he knew you were smiling against him at hearing that noise leave him.
he didn’t think he could get any harder than he already was but you continue to impress him and prove him wrong, his mouth working quicker on you to aid in his growing arousal.
a loud moan of your name leaves his mouth when you deep throat him, a growled “fuck,” against your wetness that makes you whine against him.
“i wanna fuck your mouth so badly,” he growls against you, wrapping his tongue around your clit just as you let out a strangled “please.” but he only shakes his head and continues his vigorous assault, sticking two fingers inside you that causes your scream to be muffled around his cock.
“you’re gonna come first, angel. i want you to come on my fucking face.”
and even though he already seemed to know it from the moment he met you, he sees that what he wants from you, he’s always gonna get.
your lower stomach tightens before a feeling of euphoria consumes you, your legs shaking and hips bucking before an orgasm rips right through you. your head is leant against his head as you try to catch your breath, whining slightly when he pulls you off of him.
he lays you down gently on the bed before placing a kiss to your cheek.
“you did so good, angel. how do you feel?”
“mmm.. that was the best thing i’ve ever felt.”
a deep laugh leaves him at your sleepy, dazed look, taking his shirt off so he can dab at your wet legs. you wince a little at the sensitivity and he mumbles an apology, laying on his back and opening his arms to you.
“lay with me, baby.”
a small smile crosses your face as you fall into his bare chest, sighing contently with your head resting over his chest. you can hear his heartbeat against your ear and feel his lips against your head, his fingers running over your arm slowly.
you’ve never been more comfortable and at ease than you are in this moment. even with the storm raging outside and the unknown parts of your relationship still coming, you feel happy.
happy and safe and so stupidly content.
“angel?”
you look up at him when you hear his voice break the silence, your chin against his chest as you meet his gaze.
he smiles upon seeing you, his hand coming up to pat down your messy hair.
“i like you. a lot.”
you bite down on your lip to hide your growing smile, daringly taking the first move to press a sweet peck on his lips.
“i like you, too. a lot, a lot,” you giggle out, the pink on your cheeks making his heart squeeze in his chest. “but i think you already knew that.”
“i was hoping,” he hums lowly, bringing you back into his chest. you smile against him as you inhale his scent, moving your body closer to him until you feel your leg hit a hard, fleshy piece of skin.
your eyes widen and pulse quickens when you see he’s still hard and aching, the content look on his face completely disregarding it.
“yeonjun...” you mumble, shamelessly staring at his dick a few inches from your leg.
he peeks an eye open and sees you staring down at it, a sheepish smile crossing his face; he looks a tad embarrassed and you shouldn’t find it as endearing as you do.
“sorry. it’ll go down eventually.”
eventually being when he gets up to go to the bathroom and jerks himself off. because there’s no way in hell he’s gonna go flaccid with you all naked and cuddled against him.
“you mean you’re not gonna fuck me?”
his eyes widen and cock twitches when those words leave your mouth, his hand falling to your jaw so you can look at him. his eyes roam your face when he sees the heavy desire building in your wide-eyed gaze, the perfect contrast of sweet and lustful that has him holding back a groan.
“where did you learn to talk like this?” he hums lowly in your ear.
you smirk against him before you bring your hand up to his mouth, his eyes searching yours. but you’re only staring back just as intensely, rubbing yourself against his leaking cock laying between you.
“spit on it, please.”
he can’t even stop his groan from leaving him this time, painfully hard and ready to bust. you learned so fast what he likes and that’s when you’re both polite and eager.
“baby girl,” he moans, bringing his face down to place a messy, dominating kiss on yours. he pulls your mouths apart after allowing his tongue to explore your mouth, a string of spit connecting your lips.
his eyes fall to your mouth before he’s tipping your head back, your hand clutching onto his shoulder and tightening when, suddenly, he spits in your mouth.
your eyes widen but he smirks before you can say anything, wordlessly bringing your hand to his mouth and spitting on it as you so requested. you let out a shaky sigh, eyeing him warily before he gives you a nod.
it’s only then that you wrap your hand around his cock, watching as his eyes flutter shut and he leans his head back.
“there u go, angel,” he hums lowly, your hand twisting over the tip before exploring down.
he can feel your hesitance and unsureness but it only makes it that much more enjoyable for him, knowing this is the first time you’ve done this - although he does wonder how you knew to spit on it first.
his words spur you on and you wet your hand again, twisting and turning on every ridge of his cock. his moans of your name cause wetness to gather between your legs, your eyes meeting his to see them right on you.
“please fuck me, yeonjun.”
you didn’t have to ask him twice before he pushed you on your back. he fumbled to take his sweatpants off fully, discarding them on the floor before pulling you toward the end of bed.
you look down at him with furrowed eyebrows before a loud gasp leaves you, his mouth back on your pussy before he slides two fingers in. he preps you again until you’re coming around him, his mouth hot around you while his fingers are curled and relentless.
“p-please, yeonjun. i wanna- feel you.”
“and you will, angel, i promise,” he says, pressing one last kiss to your swollen, wet clit before going up to your face. “you’ve never done this before, right?”
he knows it and you know it but he still needs to ask. needs to know he’s gonna be the first person to take you and ruin you.
“no,” you immediately respond, shaking your head as tears well up in your eyes.
he responds by smiling, placing one last long kiss on your mouth before cupping your face gently.
“it might hurt, okay? i’ll go as slow as you need.”
you nod your head as you relax on your back, looking down to see him positioning himself between your legs. he swirls the tip of his dick around your wet clit and opening, watching as your dripping hole tries to suck him in.
“holy fuck,” he growls out, “you’re so wet, baby. it’s gonna feel so fucking good.”
you whine unintelligible words but he knows to just soothe you. bring his hand to your waist and rub slowly as he promises to be in you soon.
the stretch at first in painful and unfamiliar, your face pulled into a grimace despite the deep groan leaving him.
“oh, angel,” he growls lowly, his dark eyes meeting yours to see your face twisted in pain. “are you okay? does it hurt?”
“y-yes, but it’s okay. just... slow,” you say quietly, nodding your head reassuringly.
he hovers over your face as he inches himself in further and further, your breaths shaky and body tense as the pain worsens.
“i’m sorry, baby, you’re doing so good.”
you nod your head and he kisses away the tears, a sigh of relief leaving you when he stops moving. he’s still inside you for a few seconds, allowing your tight walls to adjust around him before he starts moving.
it takes a few thrusts for the burning pain to subside, replaced by a full, warm feeling that had you moaning quietly into the air.
“does it feel good now, baby?” you hear yeonjun ask, his thrusts speeding up as his body lays over you. “do you like my cock in you?”
“y-yes,” you mumble out, throwing your legs around his waist.
he growls lowly as he starts fucking into you, keeping his pace steady and just hard enough to make you lose your mind; because he doesn’t wanna hurt you but you also feel so good, he can’t help but chase after his orgasm.
“tell me you’re mine.”
“i-i’m yours, yeonjun,” you whimper out, his hand coming down to your clit making you cry out again. “i’m yours. yours, yours, yours,” you repeat dumbly, having no sense of control over yourself as an immense pleasure builds inside you.
he thrusts into you hitting a certain spot that has a scream leaving your mouth, a sadistic smirk on his face.
“that’s right, angel. you’re mine. you’ve been mine ever since i saw you last year,” he growls lowly, remembering the first time he saw you and knew you were gonna somehow effect him like this.
“i wanted to ruin you then, baby, because i knew you’d be mine.”
“yeonjun,” you whine, thrusting your hips into him at his words. remembering all the times he caught you staring at him. all the times you’d watch him and thought about how handsome he was.
how someone like him would never want someone like you.
but he wants you and you want him and it’s still something you can’t quite believe. you know you’re both different but it seems to be something that works, him bringing you out of your comfort zone and you making him wanna be someone better.
“i’m gonna come, angel,” he grunts out, “i’m gonna fucking come. come with me.”
you feel the knot in your stomach unravel before you’re both moaning each other’s names, chests heaving and his breathing harsh as he holds himself lazily above you.
he drops his head into the crook of your neck, attempting to catch his breath despite the feeling of your post orgasm spazzing around him.
the pounding takes a few seconds to subside, a final moan leaving him before he pulls out of you.
he’s quick to collapse onto his back, hanging his arm off the bed lazily as he searches for his shirt.
he cleans you up a few moments later, watching you with a small smile before he pulls you down onto him again.
“how was that?” he mumbles quietly, his eyes closed and head resting atop yours.
“really good,” you mumble back, your own eyes closed as you attempt to catch your breath. you still feel a little sticky but it’s not something you mind in this moment, your post orgasm daze leaving you content.
it could be the post orgasm daze making you say the next words that leave your mouth. on such a high of emotions and endorphins and utter contentment that the warm feeling in your chest if confused.
or maybe it’s the months of getting to know the boy beside you who had such a bad reputation. who you were terrified of at first and thought was mean an scary, thought for sure he was gonna find you weird and nerdy.
but you’ve never felt more wanted or desired by another person. no one’s ever looked at you the way he’s looked at you before or made you feel the way he’s made you feel.
“i... i think i love you, yeonjun.”
love had always scared yeonjun and especially hearing a confession like that after sex - it had always been his worst nightmare and, truthfully, an embarrassing moment.
but he’s never felt as listened to and comforted by someone else ever in his life before. someone who, from the second he met them, trusted him and thought of him to be good and smart and capable.
he didn’t know why and he didn’t know what he did for you to think of him that way but he knows he’s never gonna take it for granted. because from the second he saw you, he really did know you were gonna be his.
“i think i might love you, too, angel.”
You Didn't Need Us Then, We Don't Need You Now
Requested by this anon: "Okay I thought of this idea during Fundy's stream. Quackity and reader were engaged to Karl and Sapnap, but they left because of Karl losing his memory and Sapnap paying more attention to him. Quackity and reader then created Las Navadas to try and cope with everything that's happened to them. They created a little wedding area where they planned to get married with Sap and Karl. Flash forward to a year or two later, Karl and Sap stumble across Las Navadas and their two former fiancees. And they see everything they've done, including the little wedding area. which is perfectly designed as to how they wanted their wedding together. That's is as far as I got to the imagine in my head. If you could make a fic out of it that would be cool. If not at least you have this cute imagine in your head! 😊"
{Okay, so- so man feels, so many ideas. I haven't seen all of the Los Nevadas streams yet because I've got a lot of school stuff going on, but, I think I have a pretty good idea of what's going on. [also Slime from The Ground my beloved]}
Quackity x reader; Past: Sapnap x Karl x Quackity x reader
trigger warnings: maybe some swearing, slight descriptions of a panic attack, slight drinking
premise: After L'manburg was destroyed, two of your fiancées seemed to disappear. With just Sapnap left, you had been scared, but he assured you that the right thing to do was split up to try and find Quackity and Karl. And, well, you found Quackity, but when He found Karl.... something else had taken over, and suddenly Kinoko Kingdom was more important than finding you and quackity again. But thats fine. You and Quackity had been together in the begining, so what did you need from the other two? Las Nevadas could fill the void they left,,, and it did, until they happened to come knocking, right as you were finally moving on.
{Also, parental unit for everyone in Las Nevadas, I love it, brain is going brr so hard}
{also also, purpled is the forgotten eldest child of the server and no the ufo does not get blown up}
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It's gone, (y/n) it's all gone," You said with disbelief, staring over the barren, ashy place that had once been L'manburg and El Rapids, "We couldn't stop him."
Sapnap took in a shaky breath, wrapping an arm around your shoulders, "We were never could have. Even if the supplies weren't destroyed."
The remaining people had already cleared out, but you had only now come to see the damage, having been forced away from the battle by your fiancées.
"I could have helped." You fell to your knees, still staring at the wreckage.
Sapnap could only sigh at the broken look on your face. You had lost the only home you'd ever known, but what had he lost? Well, for one thing, Karl.
Karl was still no where to be found, and now it seemed that Quackity had disappeared.
He fiddled with the purple band that circled one of his fingers, "Look- we- we need to find Quackity and Karl. Q looked pretty bad the last time I saw him, and Karl-"
Resolutely you nodded, dragging yourself to stand, "Karl is Karl. He'll be happy that his statue missed being blown up. I think its Q we should be worried about. This place- El Rapids- that was everything to him."
"Well- how about you go find Quackity, and I go find Karl. We're bound to find them eventually if we split up." He offered.
You studied the look on his face, "You're covering for him. What's going on?"
Sapnap only shook his head.
Crossing your arms you turned toward the hill, and what was left of the prime path, "Quackity has the deed to some land. North of Spawn. Meet us there once you kind K, alright?"
"Okay." He said softly, leaning over to press a soft kiss on your cheek.
"Be safe." You advised, already starting away.
~~
It didn't take you very long to track down your Fiancé, in all the time you'd known him (much longer than you'd known the others), he hadn't changed too much.
So, when you made your way through the twisted paths near Pogtopia, he was up on the ridge, sitting on the rock that had for so long, doubled as a bench.
"It's good to see you're safe." You hugged your arms to your body, trying to keep your voice from shaking.
As soon as you were sitting next to him, he was leaning on you, "He destroyed everything- all that work- El Rapids-"
"I know." You wrapped your arms around him, finally letting your own tears fall, "I know."
"What are we gonna do? I just wanted a place for us- I just- I wanted to make a place for us- all we asked for was recognition- and now the only place that saw was recognizing us is gone."
It had taken a while for Quackity to stop talking about everything that had been destroyed. Even then he kept asking, "But- Just wanted to make a place for you guys, how are we gonna do that now?"
"We can still make a place," You assured him, even as you yourself were unsure, "We'll make our own little country. So far out where no one will be able to blow it up."
He seemed to take to the idea quickly, and that night, as the two of you sat together in the camp that had been made within the caverns of Pogtopia, he talked feverently of the country you two would make.
He talked of buildings, of businesses, and of wedding venues. The plans he made up that night, they were almost enough to make you forget about what had happened to your home.
"What about that land north of spawn?" You suggested, letting your head rest back on his shoulder.
Quackity thought about it for a moment, "I mean- its just some desert, but I think we could make it work."
"Good, I told Sap to meet us there once he found Karl."
He nodded, "We'll head up there, and start getting everything ready, and then when they're ready they can come up."
~~ This was how three months came to pass, with the busyness of planning the new city, the beginning of construction, the meetings with Sam to plan for the new economic system that the new country would spread through the lands.
Yet you still felt off. It had been that long and Karl and Sapnap had never returned, something must have gone horribly, horribly wrong. It nagged at you, constantly, Drove you sick with anxiety somedays.
"(y/n)."
You looked up from the designs for the next casino you had been going over, "Sam! I didn't know you were visiting today! What can I do for you?"
"Uhhh, I wasn't planning on it, you better come out here- it's Quackity, we had been discussing- some things. I don't know what happened but when he passed back through-" The creeper hybrid trailed off.
You quickly stood, rushing passed him and through the hall to the courtyard where Sam had left him, gasping for breath and tugging at his hair.
In an instant you were kneeling beside him, "Breath baby, breath."
"They- he- George- Kinoko- Sap- left- on purpose-" He blubbered.
"Hey, Q," You took his hands as gently as you could, "look at me. Breath, breath with me. Come on, breath."
Slowly, he began to calm down, and by the time Sam was long gone he slowly began to explain what happened.
"I was heading back from talking with Sam, I saw George outside the prison. He kept talking about something- about- Kinoko Kingdom..." He sighed.
"Kinoko- what?" You asked, confused.
He let his head drop into his hands, "Karl and Sapnap.... started another country- called Kinoko Kingdom... they didn't even wait for us."
You felt your heart drop, if you hadn't been holding his hands yours would've been shaking, "What-"
Quackity could only nod shakily as he pulled you into his arms.
"I told him to come back here- I told- why didn't they-" You muttered absently.
The only noise in the courtyard was from the fountains, and the small sniffles from the two of you.
You were still in a state of semi-shock and sadness when you felt his arms tighten around you.
"We don't need them anyway. Las Nevada's can prosper without them."
~~ "Purpled? You want to get him in on this?" Quackity frowned.
You shrugged, "He's a mercenary, he could be of some help around here."
Your fiancé studied your face for a moment, "No, that's not it. Why do you really want him here?"
"Look, he's-" You sighed, "The kids been through a lot. He doesn't really have anything anymore, he needs somewhere, someone at least. We owe that too him at least."
After a moment, he nodded, "I haven't spoken to him since I paid him for his help with that egg mess. He- didn't seem to like me being around."
"I'll try to find him, he'd talk to me, I'm sure of it." You stood up from your seat at the table.
"You're going now?" He asked, following you across to the coat room.
You nodded, tugging on your boots, "If I want to make it through to the Greater SMP before it gets dark. I'll see if Eret will let me stay the night, then I'll head out again."
"Be careful." Quackity advised once you were ready.
You pecked at his lips, "I always am."
The journey to the Greater SMP went quickly, and after a nights stay in Eret's castle, you had made your way to the UFO, disappointed to find it seemingly abandoned.
"How the hell am I supposed to find him if the one place he ever seems to be is empty." You muttered, glancing around the base of the UFO.
You shrugged off your knapsack, dropping it to the side, followed by the sword that had been at your hip, and then you began to climb.
Even the inside of the UFO was completely empty, devoid of any chests, crafting tables, or furnaces.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
You jumped, turning to find Purpled, in full netherite, sword gripped tight in his hand.
"I- We've been looking for you." You fumbled for an explanation, holding up your hands in a sort of surrender.
He scoffed, "I already did a job for you people, I'm busy now."
"Not for a job Purpled!" You couldn't help but exclaim, "Some people actually try to find you for more than just that."
"Then what do you want?" He snapped.
"Did Q tell you about Nevadas?"
Purpled frowned, "Yeah, he mentioned it."
"Well, I think you should join. Come in on the project."
"Why the hell would I do that?"
You sighed, "Look, Purpled, you- everyone here, in this smp, they don't care, they don't bother to know you. You- you don't really have a place here-"
"You think I don't know that?" Purpled's grip on his sword tightened.
"So, If you come with us, join Las Nevadas, you can have a place- have people who care. You need people, Purpled."
"I don't Need anyone." He insisted.
You sighed, "Someday your going to have to see that that's not true. Please consider joining Las Nevadas, no one here cares, but we do."
"That's not true," He said bitterly, "You just need me to do another god damned job."
With a shake of your head you turned, preparing for the climb back down, "Purpled, this smp isn't kind to children, but I think it's been the most unfair to you. Out here your being forgotten, but you might not be if you join us."
~~
At the base of the UFO you were surprised to find a strange, slimly looking boy digging through your bag.
"Hey!" You yelled, "Don't touch that! It's not yours!"
He looked up and froze, realizing he'd been caught.
You snatched your things away from him, quickly unsheathing your sword, "Who are you?"
"Uhhhh, I'm a meat person- same as you!" He offered.
"You- you're- uh-" You sputtered for a moment confused, "Why were you touching my things?"
"Uhhhhh, Dap me up!" He said avoiding the question.
You stared at him for a moment, "I don't have time for this."
As you started back toward the prime path you heard him call, "Nice to meet you (y/n) from Las Nevadas!"
"How do you know my name?" You demanded, whirling around.
"Oh, I know a lot of things." He laughed, "I see lots 'a stuff."
You frowned, "Uh huh. I'm gonna- walk away now."
~~ A week had passed, and there was still no signs of Purpled, nor Fundy or Foolish, (both of whom Quackity had gone to speak to whilst you were away), coming to Las Nevadas.
You were sure that Purpled would come around eventually, but had no faith that anyone else would join Las Nevadas, until you had heard a strange noise in the night.
It had been a cross between a clang and a yell, and then almost like something being dragged.
You had been going over some of the contracts you had been preparing for if anyone ever did show up when you'd heard it, and your fiancé seem to be gone from his own office, and your bedroom even, so quickly you armed yourself with your sword before hurrying out after the noise.
The streets of Las Nevadas were still partially lit by street lamps as you hurried along, it didn't take you long to find your fiancé, just outside of city limits, pacing In front of a strange looking hole.
"What the hell are you doing?" You hissed.
"Hey! It's (y/n) from Las Nevadas!"
You jumped at the voice, turning to see that no, the hole wasn't green, that the same slime boy from before was sitting in it.
"You! What are you doing here?!" You exclaimed.
"Quackity from Las Nevadas put me in this hole!" He said cheerfully.
Quackity grabbed your shoulder, turning you away from Slime and the hole, "You know him?"
"He was trying to look through my stuff after I talked to Purpled," You explained, glancing back over at the hole, "Said he sees just about everything, uhh, as far as I can tell, he's like the hybrids- but- weirder."
"Nope! I'm just a totally goopless guy! I'm bones and stuff!" He called from the hole.
"Oh god we have crazy people here." Quackity muttered scrubbing a hand over his face.
You moved to crouch next to the hole, "What- uh- What are you doing here buddy?"
"Oh I'm just oozing around. Dap me up!"
Confused, you complied, nervously laughing as he grinned at the handshake.
"I found him spying in the restaurant." Quackity sighed.
"What's spying?" The boy in the hole asked, "I just listen."
"Yeah well tell me exactly what you heard or I'll ill you right now!" Quackity threatened, pulling out his sword.
He hummed, "Well, I saw you, and I saw (y/n) from Las Nevadas. And there was a green guy, and a purple guy. I know of a Red guy, dead guy but he's not dead anymore-"
Your breath hitched, "Dead guy?"
"Yeah, looked real ashy- maybe even ...sooty?..." He confirmed.
Quackity glanced back at you, "And he's not dead anymore?"
"No. He's weird now. Got gray hair instead of grey skin. Used to run a country- got blown up though."
"How much have you seen man?" You asked, incredulous.
He shrugged, "I mean, I move slow but I've seen a lot. Lately a lot of conversations about taking advantage of the ever so fragile human psyche through gambling."
"Holy shit." you muttered.
Quackity glared up into the night sky, almost looking for an answer.
Shifting closer too look at the boy you frowned, "What's all that green stuff?"
"Oh- those are just- my totally normal- human parts! I'm a person!" He grinned.
You sighed, "Uhh, look, what's your name? Like how I'm (y/n) from Las Nevadas, who are you?"
"Oh, I'm goop from the ground!" He smiled for a moment before realizing his mistake, "I mean- I'm a meat person!"
Quackity still seemed to be praying to the sky, not paying any attention.
"Goop from the ground," You muttered, slowly connecting the dots, "Well, uhh, goop, how bout I give you a regular person name?"
"A person name? Oh boy!" He laughed.
You thought for a moment longer, "How about- Charlie?"
Charlie grinned, somehow even wider than before, "Woah! I have a real human name! Like any other regular human meat person!"
"Yep, you do." You chuckled.
"And, to be clear, I definitely am one of those, and not a piece of goop, that's slowly come to the surface, hiding as a person!"
As you continued to talk with Charlie, Quackity seemed to come to a realization, "He's like an accidental spy!"
And, when you helped him out of the hole Quackity was quick to say, "Well, this- this- was- was uh a formal greeting! Yeah that's what we call them!"
"Wow!" Charlie mused.
The walk back to Las Nevadas was quiet, until Charlie turned to you, "(y/n) from Las Nevadas, if I'm Charlie- where- where?"
You smiled, "Do you want to be Charlie from Las Nevadas?"
~~
By the end of the same week, after having gotten Charlie fully on board, and slight agreement from Foolish, word finally came from Purpled.
You'd been working on the next phase of the whole Nevadas Project when Charlie rushed in, "(y/n) from Las Nevadas! There's someone here!"
You frowned, "Who?"
"Purpled from UFO!" He practically yelled.
Standing, you tucked your papers away, "That's perfect Charlie, thank you. Do you want to come with to help show him around?"
He nodded, following you out of your office.
Outside, you found Purpled, along with his dog, looking up at the casino in awe.
"Purpled! You came!" You called cheerfully.
The boy turned, a strange expression you couldn't read on his face, "What? No 'I told you so'? No 'I knew you'd come around eventually'?"
You shrugged, "I'm just glad you finally came."
He sighed, "It's not like they needed me anywhere else."
You put a hand on his shoulder, "That's alright, We need you here."
"They- I went to tell Ponk I was leaving," Purpled sounded too broken, too tired, "He said he was too busy to talk to me."
Before you could say anything, he continued, "I had a house, near L'Manhole. I- I uh blew it up, to see what would happen," His shoulders began to shake, ever so slightly, as he finished in a whisper, "No one even noticed."
In one quick move you wrapped an arm around his shoulder and pulled him into a hug, "It's okay Kid, it'll be okay now."
That was how your fiancé found you, standing outside the main casino, a teen all but sobbing into your shirt, Charlie looking on confused.
~~
And so, the time passed, Las Nevadas grew, and you and your new little family did along with it.
Quackity found it funny, really, your ability to bring people onto your side be connecting with them emotionally, and as he put it, all but adopting them.
Charlie still took up a room in the apartments you and Quackity staid in above the offices. Purpled would come over when things around the country weren't so busy, and you'd talk for hours, Foolish joining in some of the time.
Fundy, on his first night in the city, had broken down to you, the same as Purpled, but you'd helped him put himself together. Though Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo didn't have official places in Las Nevadas, it seemed a chunk of their time was spent there.
Yep, that was your new strange family. You, Your fiancé and the kids but not really young enough to still be kids you accidently adopted.
Now, you reflected on this quietly, from the top of the needle.
"You okay?" Quackity asked softly, looking over at you.
You chuckled softly, "Can you believe that it's been two years?"
"No, can you?"
You shook your head, "You know, I've been thinking. A long time ago, you told me we were better off with out Karl and Sapnap."
He watched silently, as you pulled the other two rings that you had kept, holding them up by the chain they were strung on.
"Maybe- you were right- and maybe it's finally time to get married. Just us. We didn't need them to get here, we won't need them for anything else."
A small smile slipped onto Quackity's lips, "Would you marry me?"
"You already know the answer to that." You chuckled.
"So it's a yes?"
"Obviously." You scoffed.
"When should we have the ceremony then?" He asked.
"Right now," You mused, "We opened that wedding hall for a reason, right? We could get married proper, right now. It's already decorated the way Tubbo originally planed."
He laughed, "Let's do it tomorrow that way we have time to get like, notices out and shit."
You smiled, "Of course."
The sun had begun to set during this discussion, and you looked out over the peaceful landscape with a soft sigh, yes, this, this was home.
And even as you heard Charlie tripping and crashing his way up the stairs, the thought still filled your head.
"Quackity and (y/n) from Las Nevadas!" He exclaimed, "Purpled from Las Nevadas found some people by the border!"
In an instant, both you and Quackity were standing, "What were they doing?"
"Looking around, real weird like. Fundy From Las Nevadas said they might be here to attack us! I hope they aren't."
You followed Quackity past him and back down from the tower, drawing your sword as Charlie called out where he had left Purpled and the mystery people.
What you found was not what you expected.
Purpled stood, sword drawn and pointed at the men you least expected to see now.
Karl looked scared, tucked back behind Sapnap who was moving to draw his own sword.
Not another move!" You barked, moving to stand in line with Purpled.
Karl's face light up upon seeing you, "(y/n)! Quackity! I missed you!"
"Did you?" Quackity spit.
"Sapnap drop your sword." You commanded, not paying attention to the strange look on their faces, no one, and I mean no, pulled a sword on your family.
He frowned, "Wh- (y/n) don't be like that. I get it- but- why..."
"What are your intentions? Why have you come here?" You asked.
"We wanted to find you!" Karl said, "We missed you (y/n)."
"Uhh, that's (y/n) from Las Nevadas to you." Charlie said.
Quackity sighed, grabbing Charlie by the collar and pulling him back, "Sorry- he's been learning sass and sarcasm lately."
"Still, what are you doing here?" You pushed.
"We wanted to find you! You've been gone so long, we thought we'd go looking." Sapnap explained.
"We've been gone?" You scoffed, "You were the ones who disappeared."
Karl moved forward, grabbing your left hand, and Quackity's right, "We just wanted to come back, to finally get married."
You pulled away, slowly sheathing your sword, "You can't be serious?"
"What do you mean?" Karl asked, the smile just beginning to drip off his face.
"You fucking left us- We were just trying to make a place for the four of us to be safe and you left us! And now you want back? Out of the blue?" Your voice steadily grew louder, "You cannot show up here after abandoning us like that!"
Quackity gently took your hand, murmuring, "(y/n)..."
"No. They don't get to do this!" You turned to him, watching his face change upon seeing the mix of anger and sadness in your eyes.
"W- We'll talk about this tomorrow, away from the kids," He asserted, for once not earning any protest about age from Purpled or Fundy, "Charlie, you think you can take these guys on a tour of the place?"
He nodded eagerly, "This way this way!"
As Sapnap, Karl, Purpled and FUndy began to trudge after him, Quackity turned to you, "(y/n)?"
You just shook your head, pulling your hand out of his and starting away.
~~ Purpled had followed the tour party quietly, taking a page from Charlie's book and watching, observing everything.
He had seen the pain in your face at the suggestion of marriage, and the anger in Quackity's just upon seeing them.
So, he followed the men warily, watching the way Karl exclaimed about how he had built an Effile tower just like the one in the city in Manberg, and the way that Sapnap mentioned fondly how the décor at the wedding hall matched the ones you two had always spoken about.
Hearing it nearly drove him mad. Did they not realize that it had all been for them? That dreams of them arriving were the only thing that had ruled Your and Quackity's minds?
When Charlie had directed the group, which by now included some of the other tourists, past one of the bars, he stopped.
Inside, Quackity was slumped at the bar, a bottle of whiskey in hand.
"Drinking away your problems won't solve them." Purpled sighed, pulling the bottle away from him.
"We were doing so good without them. You know that Purp. But here they are, back and ready to fuck things up again. That's how it's always been." He muttered.
The boy shook his head, "They don't realize how destructive they are? Do they?"
"Never have." He sighed.
"Lets get you back home."
Quackity allowed himself to be manhandled into standing, and then led out of the bar, back toward the offices, and toward the apartment.
"(y/n) will figure it out. They always do." Purpled assured him, pulling open the apartment door and ushering him in.
"But they shouldn't have too," He sighed, running a hand through his hair, not bothered by the way his beanie fell to the floor, "They've dealt with so much without help. Yet they're always the ones to help us."
~~
Once he had wrangled Quackity into the bedroom, Purpled headed back out, finding Fundy at the base of the Needle, "They up there?"
"Yeah," The hybrid sighed, "Quackity?"
"Got drunk. He's- painfully coherent though." He winced.
Fundy ran a hand through his hair, "It's hard to believe one of the nicest people around is the one to fuck them up like this."
"Makes perfect sense to me," Purpled said as they began to make their way toward the stairs, "My first night here- I was having a hard time, because- the whole server acted like I didn't exist. (y/n) told me about how Sapnap and Karl had abandoned them."
"Did it seem this bad though?" Fundy asked.
"No- but that was before they turned up again talking about marriage."
By now they had reached the top of the tower, and Purpled could see where you sat by the ledge, feet dangling over. Quietly, they both sat down on either side of you.
"How's Q?" You asked quietly after a moment.
"Drunk, but back at your apartment, well supplied with water." Purpled reported.
You nodded, "And K and- Karl and Sapnap?"
"Waaay to blissfully ignorant." Fundy said.
Quiet held you three in silence for a moment, until at last Purpled sighed, asking, almost bitterly, "So- are you gonna marry them? You were going to once."
"Even if I did it wouldn't change anything here." You mumbled.
"Sapnap was talking about how cool it would be to come back and visit from Kinoko after the honeymoon." Fundy admitted.
Before you could say anything Purpled drew one of his knees to his chest, "I- don't- it feels like they'd be taking you away from us- I like it the way it is. Things are nice, and they're just fucking it up."
Fundy nodded, "As much as I hate to say it, he's right. If you people all get married nothing will be the same. I kind of liked having parental figures, I don't want them messing that up."
"They won't." You promised softly.
By god, if you hadn't already made up your mind, their words would've swayed you.
~~ After a while, you stood, "Let's go home."
They followed you tiredly, Charlie joining the mini procession at one intersection, telling you that Sapnap and Karl had gone to get a hotel room.
At the apartment, Quackity was sitting on the couch, already seeming more sober than Purpled had told you. When you sat next to him, his arms were quick to wrap around you, holding you like a lifeline.
Charlie took his place on the other side of the couch, Purpled curled up in the armchair, and Fundy dug around until he found one of the old projectors he'd left there, queuing up a movie.
"Hey, just like on Nightmare's days!" Charlie laughed, referring to the infamous 16th, where, just about every month it seemed you, Fundy, Quackity and sometime Purpled would have nightmares of the Manburg Pogtopia war, and everyone would congregate in the living room to watch one of Fundy's movies.
"Sure as hell feels like one." Quackity muttered.
And so you watched the movie, though your thoughts drifted, thinking of how you would deal with your reappearing ex-fiancés.
As you thought, you created a mini script in your head. Exactly what you would say came you.
"You didn't need us then, and we don't need you now."
Yes, you thought, leaning more into Quackity's side, thats what you'd say, after you talked about your new family.
(and the next day, you did just that)
Hi! So, I absolutely love your series where the MC is the kid of Lucifer, and I was wondering if I could request that with Diavolo and Barbatos? •v•
:0 you definitely can! Right now I’m just doing Diavolo, but Barb’s will be up sometime soon!
MC is Half Demon and Oh Shit They’re Diavolo’s Kid-
Diavolo wasn’t exactly what one would expect of the prince of Hell, I mean, he was suppressing the urge to bounce in his seat from pure excitement. I mean, his exchange program was starting! Humans, demons, and angels, all together, his dream was coming true.
All that was left was for the student to arrive, the portal opened, and the human fell flat on their back. Oof, maybe Diavolo should have set up some kind of landing zone filled with pillows. No matter! The human was-
…
What peculiar eyes this human had…
Oh… oh dear…
Dad-volo
The MC was his child, no question about it. This was… very unexpected. Well, the entire assembly hall was completely quiet, and the kid looked like they were getting impatient.
“HEY! Mind telling me what the hell is going on?!”
After that, Diavolo launches into his explanation, also the explanation that he’s definitely this kid’s dad. Kid was not impressed, they tried to square up with Diavolo and Lucifer had never been more confused as to what to do.
Well, the moment MC sprouted wings and launched themselves at Diavolo, Dia caught them with one hand and continued speaking like nothing happened.
MC, please calm down… Diavolo didn’t know they existed, let him make it up to them! They’re going to stay at the Demon Lord’s Castle! Dia’s going to be a good dad!
“This feels like the plot to the world’s most messed up fairytale.” MC jammed their hands into their pockets and grumbled. “I get sucked into hell and find out I’m royalty there. Great.”
Diavolo managed to smile and awkwardly reach out to give them a pat on the head, then retracted his hand after the kid shot him a glare. “Well, it’s not a very traditional fairytale, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time here.”
“Mm, sure.” MC mumbled.
Okay, so his child wasn’t that enthusiastic about the exchange program, but Diavolo was sure they’d come around.
Dia tried everything he could possibly think of to get his kid to both like him and enjoy their time as an exchange student. A lot of things had… mixed results.
Also, legally recognizing MC as his child and legitimizing them caused a big stink amongst the nobles who were opposed to the exchange program to begin with. So MC then had to deal with a few assassins. Wonderful. Fantastic. Show stopping. Dia, be a good dad and comfort your angsty murder target- I MEAN preteen.
They do manage to build a good relationship fairly quickly despite their less than stellar first impressions, and Diavolo made them a promise that he knew he wouldn’t ever break: he would let them live as normal a childhood as possible.
This means that MC gets to do all the normal kid stuff that Diavolo wasn’t allowed to do. It honestly works out great for everyone. MC gets to live their life, Diavolo gets the satisfaction of knowing that his kid’s having fun, and Barbatos doesn’t need to worry about MC causing chaos in the castle.
Man… does this kid’s magic potential scare the shit out of everyone though…
Tired Uncle Lucifer
No. This has to be a violation of his worker rights. It cannot be legal for him to be this stressed.
He knew this exchange program was a bad idea. LUCIFER FUCKING KNEW IT. This kid was judging him. Why did he suddenly feel self conscious about every single one of his features? This child was picking him apart and they hadn’t even said anything!
He confiscated Asmo’s phone immediately, this was a matter of national security! Satan’s too! Beel as- oh shit Lucifer may have to give Beel the heimlich maneuver, then take his phone.
When all the brothers eventually got back to the HOL, they were greeted with Mammon getting shaken down by Levi.
“Lucifer! Ya won’t believe this! Levi- what’s wrong with you?” “The exchange student is Diavolo’s child.” “What..?” “*pops the cork off a bottle of Demonus* the exchange student’s Diavolo’s child.”
The worst part about this kid was that they took to the privileges of being royalty like a fish to water. MC went out and did whatever the fuck they wanted, and Lucifer needed to make sure a state of national emergency wasn’t called just because MC picked a fight at RAD.
It didn’t help that MC was just so unimpressed with Lucifer. Anytime Lucifer would tell them not to do something they would just raise their eyebrows and challenge his authority without saying a word.
What the fuck.jpg
The things he does for his prince boyfriend…
Cool Uncle Mammon
Huh, so this little pipsqueak is Lord Diavolo‘s kid? Hm, do ya think they’d let him into the royal treasury? No? Okay… lame.
Mammon then decides this kid would be just perfect for scamming people! Who is going to say no to the Crown Prince’s kid? A suicidal person, that’s who!
And the kid is… up for it? Wow, Mammon didn’t even have to grovel! Awesome!
It’s such a shame that Lucifer came in and promptly removed MC from Mammon’s presence. Tsk, killjoy…
Mammon and MC do get along swimmingly after MC stops angsting. Whenever they hang out it’s pure chaos.
And they would have gotten away with it too- wait, they do get away with it. Because who’s going to question the Crown Prince’s kid? >:)
Reclusive Uncle Leviathan
Levi was in the middle of throttling Mammon for his money back when Lucifer burst through the door looking like he had spent over 1000 Grimm on a gacha game only to not get the card he wanted.
And where was that human he said would be staying with them? Huh? The human’s HUH????!!!!
… wack. Maybe he shouldn’t have skipped out on that Student Council Meeting…
Either way, ew, new person he needed to talk to. NO THANKS. Well, no thanks until MC started to visit the HOL to hang out with Mammon. Of course those two normies decided to bug him. OF COURSE.
Levi finally snapped when MC loudly proclaimed that they could totally beat Levi in Mario Kart. Haha, NO. Levi challenged the little runt to a 1 v 1 race on Rainbow Road.
Kid lost. Obviously. Rainbow Road is rigged.
Honestly, kid’s alright. Still a total normie, but not completely terrible.
Cat Uncle Satan
Huh, a half human child of the soon to be demon king, how very interesting.
Oh, and just look at Lucifer’s face. :D priceless. Satan wished he was fast enough to get his DDD out to snap a picture, but he wasn’t able to…
But back to MC, oh how very intriguing. How much power do they have in comparison to Diavolo? Will using that power rip their fragile little body apart? Would they learn to control it? Satan was just dying to find out.
His feelings on the child themselves were mixed at best. They were clearly unhappy with the situation and Satan could sympathize, being thrust into a completely new world and then being told you can’t leave and are also royalty? That has to be hard. But this kid was still being an unreasonable little shit.
Satan continued to try and study MC from afar until the kid themselves walked right up to him and half demanded half pleaded for his help in studying for a test.
Not being one to avoid an opportunity to flex how smart he is, Satan agreed to help out. (Nerrrrd)
And honestly, it went well. When the kid wasn’t being a little shit, they were actually quite pleasant to be around.
Overly Affectionate Uncle Asmo
…wut
Listen, when Asmo asked Lucifer to pick a cute human, he didn’t mean cute as in CHILD.
This kid was DIAVOLO’S?! What lucky human had gotten to have the experience of [Jesus Fucking Christ, Asmo I’m not writing what he said for the sake of the nation]
Anyhoo~ little MC just made his heart go “SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SO CUTE!” They were so cute Asmo could just eat them up!
But they were so mean! That scowl they always had on was going to give them wrinkles and ruin their perfectly cute face!
Sigh, oh well. He can’t manually rearrange people’s expressions. What he can do is take this child shopping. Poor Diavolo was constantly in his RAD uniform, this poor innocent baby shouldn’t have to suffer the same fate.
The kid continued to scowl at everything, but at the same time, their little quips were very entertaining. This little kid spitting verbal venom at anyone who displeased them reminded Asmo of someone… he just couldn’t place who, but they definitely had amazing hair and a cute face :3
Hungry Uncle Beel
Where’s the takeout- I mean human? What’s happening? …are all humans this small? Dang, that’s barely enough for a snack.
So the human’s not going to live with us because they’re not fully human and Diavolo’s kid? Huh. Wild. Anyway, what’s for dinner?
Beel’s not too invested in this drama, he misses Belphie too much to be that interested…
The kid’s weirdly interested in how cool and strong Beel is though. MC tails him to the gym pretty often.
Diavolo and Beel already being gym buddies send tweet-
Since this benevolent little shit likes Beel so much, they decided to take it upon themselves to help with the family drama.
Beel finds that very sweet 🥺
Murder sleepy Uncle Belphie
Oh man… if you thought Belphie was being unfair to L!MC due to their parentage… hoo boy…
When this kid waltzed up the attic steps like they ran the place, Belphie needed to hold himself back from trying to break down the door and throttle this kid.
Pff, of course Diavolo would have a half human kid. Of course.
…kid beat the shit out of him when he tried to kill them. We stan this MC.
After all is said and done, Belphie still isn’t overly fond of MC. They’re brash and rude and only funny 40% of the time. They don’t even like napping 😒
But Beel likes the little runt, so Belphie and MC put up with each other.
Bonus! Your Angelic Uncle Simeon’s Chihuahua
:0 friend!
MC: *speaks*
Take a Chance | college!au | (pt.3)
Peter Parker x reader
Part one Part two
Masterlist
Summary: You have a routine. It may seem boring to some, but you like it. Until, some honey-eyed boy comes along to mess it all up, but maybe you like him too. Maybe.
Word count: ~5.2k - these just keep getting longer lol
Warnings: Awkwardness? Reader finally confronts their feelings! Some cute moments with Peter <3
A/N: This chapter is a bit more focused on the reader and their roommate, but it’s pretty cute and I loved writing it. Thank you as always for reading!
You two make your way across campus, your steps feeling slow and in sync with his, and unknowingly, he’s begun unraveling your carefully crafted routine one thread at a time. Maybe you could get used to it, and used to his lopsided grin that makes it seem okay.
You end up letting Peter buy your drink at the coffee shop today, mostly because you’re sure him will bring up that embarrassing moment earlier if you protest. But you won’t let him do it again. You find yourself biting the inside of your mouth to hide a smile at the thought of “again.”
Peter asks about your plans for the week during the walk. You tell him about celebrating Lilly’s birthday tomorrow. “I’m picking up her cake from that bakery right across the street from campus. But I have no idea where I can hide a cake in our tiny dorm room until tomorrow,” you say.
“In the closet? Under your bed?” he suggests, twisting his mouth as he thinks.
“Peter, there is no way I’m putting her birthday cake under a dorm bed. You know there are so many bugs in our residence hall.” You shiver just thinking about how many spiders have crawled across your things. The closet idea doesn’t seem so bad though…maybe you can tie it in a couple of plastic bags and hide it high on a shelf.
You ask Peter about his plans, most of them revolving around studying for another knowledge bowl coming up in a couple of weeks and completing this English essay. He suggests working on it together after revealing he has yet to start it. You’re quick to agree, knowing you haven’t done much of it either. Despite the need to get started on it, you opt for going the long way to the library today, planning to show him your secret path that you’re sure can’t be that much of a secret on a college campus.
There’s a small grassy area surrounded by trees next to the science building. It has a little rock path running through it and some benches, but all of the college students scattered throughout are laying on the grass. You’re all soaking up the last of semi-warm days not suffocated by snow.
You both walk along the path, but you veer off of it towards a break in the trees. There’s a sort of dirt path that leads you through birches and maples. The branches stretch across each other, creating a canopy over the two of you. You always stop for a moment to take in this magical view as you walk through. You turn to Peter, expecting him to be admiring it as well; but you lock eyes with him for just a heartbeat before he looks up to the fiery leaves swaying above.
“Do you walk this path often?” he asks you, still shifting his eyes away from you. It could be the cold weather, but you notice his red cheeks and don’t mind him being the flustered one again.
“Only when I have the time, really. Though I wonder sometimes if it should be the opposite way, you know? When I’m busy and my brain is completely scattered, taking a break like this would probably help a lot,” you answer, mostly musing aloud.
You see him turn back towards you out of the corner of your eye. He says, “If I’m being honest, I was pretty surprised that you asked me about the book for English. With how busy you are and how often you’re doing homework, I would’ve assumed you didn’t need help from a guy taking this class to meet general education requirements.”
He said he was surprised, but you’re the one at a loss for words for a couple moments. You two continue walking through the trees, nearing the end of them. The path wraps around to a sidewalk by the back of the library. You’re thankful for the silence he lets rest between you two, the sound of crunching leaves and a bird here and there singing in your ears.
Usually, you would run through all the thoughts Peter just brought up over and over in your head, but you feel okay just thinking out loud to him. You sigh. “Well, if we’re both being honest, I don’t really need that much help. I just haven’t been too focused on this class lately,” you say, which is the truth. He just doesn’t need to know why you can’t focus right now. “Besides required group projects with people that don’t actually care, I don’t get to talk about these ideas with anyone. And the ideas you wrote in my book–”
“Sorry again about that.”
“–it’s okay. I really liked discussing them with you, even if you’re not that into this class. Guess you’ve nudged me a bit to engage with this class again, so thank you.”
Peter lets out an unsure “You’re welcome?” as he opens the door to the library. You let it close quietly this time, determined to at least subconsciously teach him to be a little bit less disruptive.
As you walk towards the back of the library, you’re not confident in how much you’ll actually get done today. While you told Peter that he’s made you refocus on this class more, it’s starting to feel more like just focusing on him. He lets out a sudden gasp, breaking you out of your thoughts.
“Oh no, I totally forgot. I’m tutoring today, and I’m late,” he says in one quick breath. With a weak smile, he says, “I’m sorry, I won’t be able to write the essay along with you. We’ll at least be at a nearby table, but still…”
You tell him it’s okay as he sends a last wave in your direction. He sits next to a guy you recognize from the last tutoring session. You worry about Peter’s memory, or lack thereof, for a brief moment, but as you settle into a seat at the table behind theirs, you’re a little unsure of how truthful you were about being okay with this sudden change.
You plug in your headphones, determined to at least complete the rest of your routine. An increasingly familiar pang rings in your chest, maybe from disappointment of not being with Peter or maybe from another unexpected switch in your plans. As you work through every pressing assignment, subtlety mouthing along to every lyric, your fingers fidget less and your leg isn’t bouncing quite as fast.
You had nearly wanted to curse the wrenches Peter throws into your plans, but as you sit back in your seat, routine back on track, you take a deep breath. It wasn’t really his fault for you feeling this way, it’s just that the curveballs he throws in your routine feel easier, less painful, to cope with when he’s there to keep you from stumbling.
The last assignment to work on is your essay, but you’ve been procrastinating it. There always seem to be more interesting things about your English class to keep your attention…
You glance at Peter, his back still towards you, and feel your face soften a little bit. The rays of sunshine coming in through the library windows have shifted, the light surrounding him in a warm glow.
You can see someone sitting next to him, though it’s a different student than before. Did he change tutoring students and you didn’t notice? Maybe it’s a good thing — that you’re not letting this Peter virus completely take over. But not all bacteria are bad, right? But that’s different from a virus–
You shake your head, forcing your eyes back to the screen. You had typed out a rough outline of your major talking points, but it is going to need a lot more work. Using your notes and the ideas scribbled down from talking with [the boy who must not be named until you’re done with this outline], you flesh out each bullet point with supporting textual evidence and adding details here and there.
After some time, though you can never really tell how long when you’re focusing like this, the outline has basically become a rough draft. You let out a sigh, feeling better about it. And him. Maybe this easiness you feel is just readiness to have this essay off your shoulders soon, you’re sure that’s it.
You pack up your things, ready to rest for the day after getting Lilly’s cake. As you pack up your things and walk towards the library exit, you catch Peter’s eye this time, giving him a quick smile as he gives a short wave. On your way out, you think you hear someone loudly clearing their coming from their direction.
A gust of wind blows against you as you step outside, the chill of it curling around any exposed skin. You hurry your steps across the street to the small bakery. You had sent the order in yesterday, a small chocolate fudge cake with even more chocolate on top — her favorite — and it was ready to pick up.
A tiny bell rings as you open the door. Wafting smells of sugar, bread, and delicious pastries hit your nose in an instant. The warm bakery feels cozy and comforting against the wind howling outside. You don’t see anyone in the store as you walk to the counter, until an older woman shuffles in from a back door.
“Hello dear, what can I get you today?” she asks as she cleans the counters, barely looking up at you in the midst of her hurried organizing.
“I ordered a chocolate cake yesterday, and you called today letting me know it’s ready,” you tell her, your fingernails picking at the stitches on your coat.
“Ah! Yes, here you go,” she says while grabbing the boxed-up cake from the back counter. “It’s one of my better ones I think.”
She grins at you as you grab the box from her and pay. The wrinkles adorning her dark skin stretch along her cheeks. You haven’t even looked at or tasted the cake, but you feel sure you’d come back for the smells and her smile alone.
You take a look at her old-school name tag pinned on her apron. It reads “Pat” in swooping handwriting. “Thank you, Pat. She’s gonna love it.”
She nods her head and tells you to come back anytime, and you plan to. You make your way back to your dorm, making sure to keep the cake balanced and upright. Looking through the little plastic window on top of the cake box, you can see the decorations Pat put on it. She dotted the edges of the cake with waves of chocolate frosting and added colorful flowers around the light pink letters of “Happy Birthday Lilly!”
As you approach your dorm, you begin realizing that you don’t actually have a plan for sneaking the cake into the room. You end up trying to hide it against your body, sort of under your open jacket. You’re not impressed as you look down at the barely covered cake. All you can do is hope she’s in the bathroom or heavily distracted when you enter.
You breathe out a silent sigh when you creak the door open. Her desk lamp is on, but she’s not in her chair. You quickly walk to the closet and rip a stray plastic bag from a pile of bags (why are there always so many bags stuffed into another bag?) to wrap the cake in. You grab your desk chair to set it on a high shelf, hiding it behind other miscellaneous boxes and next to the small present you got for her. Just as you step off the chair and shut the closet door, the sound of the squeaky doorknob turning makes you jump.
Lilly walks into the room, her head down in her phone. You try to nonchalantly push your chair back in its place, pretending to be straightening up the pens and notebooks lying on your desk.
When she finally looks up, she says, “Oh, hey. How’s your day been?”
You initially want to tell her about how cute the bakery is across the street, but you can’t. You then want to talk about showing Peter that “secret” path, but you’re not sure about telling Lilly about all of that yet. What if it turns about to be nothing? You know she’d be there for you, but it’d still hurt.
Instead, you opt for your usual response. “Fine, had classes, went to the cafe, studied at the library. The cafeteria lunch today was actually pretty good for once. How about you?” you ask her as you flop onto your bed, resting your head on your hand.
She lets out a pfft, “You look just like Rose from The Titanic right now. I could totally draw you like one of my French girls,” she laughs out. “But it’s been good, besides this one group project.”
“For which class?” “My forensic science class, the one with the lab. One guy isn’t doing anything while another guy thinks he knows everything, but he doesn’t. So he tries to do everything but he’s doing them wrong. I’d cut him some slack if he didn’t cut me off all the time or talk down to the rest of the group,” she explains. She groans, slumping down into her chair.
“Do you want me to fight him? Cause I’ll go fight him right now if you’d like,” you say with a smile. You’re not serious — maybe — but it makes her laugh, and that’s enough. “Are you all done with homework? Let’s just watch a movie and forget about him.”
She agrees in an instant, setting up her laptop and already grabbing popcorn to put in the microwave. You grab a blanket and sit down, ready to scroll through some legal (and some illegal) sites for new movies. Lilly opens the bag of popcorn and settles in next to you. You two end up on watching Clueless, the night filled with buttery hands and full belly laughs.
Tomorrow morning, you leave a colorful message of “Happy Birthday!!” taped to the inside of the dorm door before quietly leaving for the day. You want to tell her in person, but her long snores made sure there was no way that was happening.
You step outside, ready for a quick breakfast (a smashed granola bar at the bottom of a backpack counts, right?) and your first class of the day — history. The streams of sunlight peaking over the buildings make the calm walk worth the early morning cold surrounding you. You’re accompanied on the path to the main campus building by the sound of fluttering leaves and bird songs — you’re not sure what kind of birds, but it sounds like the ones that cooed in the mornings before elementary school.
The nostalgia warms your heart a bit as you go inside, making your way to the classroom. The lecture passes by relatively quickly until your teacher assigns a lengthy essay due next week. You inwardly groan at the amount of writing this school is making you do. The degree is worth it, the degree is worth it… you repeat in your head.
You’re not quite sure you believe it as you’re handed the packet of information on the essay and how it will be graded. Stuffing it into a folder, you promise yourself that you’ll read it later, when you’ve mustered up the willpower.
The rest of your day follows your usual routine. As you sit at your regular table in the back of the library, drink in hand, you find yourself pausing before getting started on homework. You can’t quite bring yourself to open up your planner or that Great Gatsby document again. You almost think about how it’d be much better to have a study partner here to motivate you. Almost.
As your phone buzzes, you wonder if the universe is reading your mind or just looking out for you. You’re quick to pick it up, but you put it down in an instant when you see who it’s from. You cringe at the loud noise it makes in the quiet building, the sound only intensifying the uneasiness starting to swarm in your stomach.
With cautious fingers, you pick up your phone again to read the text.
Peter: “Hey! How’d your roommate like the birthday cake? Did you keep it under your bug-infested bed??”
You let out a breathless laugh, followed by a sigh. You’re not sure why your leg is shaking faster or why your palms feel sweatier. This is just some guy from English class. You’re not even sure how you feel about him, like his lopsided grin and contagious laugh, so why should texting him be a problem?
You: “It’s safe and sound in my closet, bug free! And Lilly-free since she probably still hasn’t woken up yet”
Before you can get lost in overthinking your response, your phone buzzes again. You freeze, eyes wide staring at your phone. How does he text so fast? You can bring yourself to look at it, you got this. Obviously.
Peter: “What was the name of that bakery again? Can’t resist anything chocolate-related. We could go together! :E”
“I meant :D **!! :E looks evil”
You laugh at his scrambling, then take a moment after reading and rereading his words, and reading it once more to make sure it says what you think it says. Is that a date? No, it’s just about going to the bakery. Who doesn’t like baked goods? You type out a text to him trying to be funny, not sure if you should take him seriously or not.
You type back: “Peter you can just tell me if you don’t actually want to go together…or that you’re a three-fanged vampire apparently”
Peter: “I guess I have to come clean about being a very unique vampire then, because that’s a lot more likely than your other guess :)”
Oh. You smile down at your phone, feeling your cheeks slowly warm. Your homework now long-forgotten, you barely notice any time passing with your face buried in your texts back and forth with Peter.
You finally see some people leaving the library, and you look at the clock. Your jaw drops a little as you realize you’ve spent almost an hour talking with him… If Peter is going to become a regular part of your day, you need to figure out how to change your routine around. You pause for a second, never thinking the day you change your routine for a boy would ever come.
You’re nearly certain this time that someone is looking out for you as your phone buzzes again from an email sent by your English professor. Skimming through it, you read that some students have asked for an extension on the essay, so she’s now made it due Friday for the whole class. You can’t be sure that the jock is one of those students, but you secretly thank him for this.
You pass the news on to Peter, both of you excited to have another day to write…or another chance at writing this essay together. You have other assignments to do before tomorrow, like bringing yourself to reading that history essay guidelines, so you text Peter that you have to focus and that you’ll see him tomorrow in class. He sends a gif of a cute dog waving its paw. When you put your phone down, you let out a sigh louder than usual. This boy is going to be the death of you.
You walk back to the dorm with thoughts bouncing around your head at lightning speed. You obviously don’t want to pull the “What are we?” on him because nothing’s even happened yet. But does he at least like you? Or is he this interested in everyone like this?
You want to word vomit all of this to Lilly as soon as you get back into the dorm, but you don’t want to make her birthday celebration about you. You promise to tell her later, when the time is right.
As you open the door to your dorm room, Lilly’s at her desk. She turns her head towards you as soon as you look at her, a smile spreading wide across her face. Before she can say anything, you yell “happy birthday!!” and rush to the closet.
You make her stay at her desk, knowing she would peer over your shoulder and ruin the surprise if you didn’t. You grab the cake along with her gift. “Okay, which one first?”
She scrunches up her mouth as she thinks before pointing to the present. “I know I’ll get frosting everywhere, and I really don’t want to ruin your hard work with my mess,” she laughs out.
You set the cake down on your desk and hand her the box wrapped in a mediocre wrapping job. As she starts ripping it open at light speed, you tell her, “It’s not much, but I hope you like it. I saw you looking at something similar a while ago and–”
“Stop.”
You look at her in surprise. She’s holding the gift in her hands. It’s a semi-nice art kit with some paints, pencils, and pens.
A small smile grows across her face until it practically reaches her ears. “I love it. No one’s given me one before, and my parents never wanted me to do art and…” she trails off, her eyes glued to the kit.
“There’s even a packet in there showing you different techniques. Maybe I could borrow it to improve on my Bob Ross skills,” you say, trying to keep the mood light for her sake.
“I’m not sure there’s a packet long enough to help with that.”
“Hey!”
“You know it’s true. I love this so much, I’m literally going to use it every day,” she says. Snapping out of her faraway look, she says, “Anyway, let me see that cake!” while clapping her hands together.
You take the cake out of its box and bring it to her. You pause for a second, unsure of how you are going to eat this without a knife to cut it. Lilly instantly reaches towards her pencil holder, which is actually a mug full of broken pencils and pens, and grabs out two forks sitting in it. How didn’t you notice those before?
“I stole them from the dining hall,” she explains. When you raise your eyebrow at her, she says, “Don’t judge. And I cleaned them, so let’s eat!”
You two dig into the cake, and it is some of the best cake you’ve ever had. You tell her about the cute bakery and Pat, finally. As you eat, Lilly says, “Thank you, for all of this. It’s probably my favorite birthday.”
You point your chocolate-covered fork at her, “Your favorite birthday so far.”
She laughs. “ I don’t know how you’re going to one-up this. The only thing to make this better would be if you tell me why you’ve been so different lately.”
Your eyes widen as you cough. You’re glad you hadn’t taken a bite when she said that. “What are you talking about?”
“Oh, come on. You’re coming home later from the library. You didn’t even finish all of your homework that one night. And I know I was distracted, but you were definitely hiding something that night I asked what you did while I was doing my group project. And you look like you’re gazing at nothing half the time, just thinking about something. I mean, this is weird for you,” she says.
You open your mouth to answer, trying to form words. You hadn’t expected to talk to her about this just yet. “Hey, it’s your birthday. Aren’t we supposed to be focused on you?”
A snort escapes her throat. “Nice try, now fess up. Is it a boy? Girl? Trouble with the mafia? I know a guy who knows a guy.”
“Lilly, stop,” you say in between laughs. “You’re ridiculous. If you’re really going to make me say it…it’s a boy.”
Her mouth and eyes go wide. “Oh my god!! This is the best birthday present ever. There’s no way you’re topping this,” she squeals, almost knocking off the cake when she goes in for a hug.
Once she sits back down, and you can breathe again, she brings her hands to her face, to your hands, and back to her face. “Okay, what’s his name? Where does he live? Does he go to this school? When’s his birthday?”
She’s practically out of breath after asking the questions so fast. You interrupt her, saying, “Would you like to know his social security number too? Anyway, it’s Peter, Crawford Hall, yes, and I don’t know.”
“Damn, I wanted to know his sign. He better not be a Gemini.”
“Okay, but it’s nothing serious Lilly. He’s just some guy in my class that I’ve talked to about our assigned reading…” you say.
She gives you a disbelieving look, eyebrows raised to say she doesn’t believe you. “It sure doesn’t seem like nothing… spill it.”
You fidget with your hands and your teeth press in to your bottom lip. How do you explain this? You take a breath and say, “Okay, well we have talked about more than just The Great Gatsby.”
“How scandalous!”
You continue, “It’s just, you know I like having a schedule, doing the same things every day. I feel comfortable in it. And he’s been changing that. But I can’t say that I completely hate it?” You say, trailing off in your thoughts. You’re not sure what else to say, so you end with, “He’s a bio major, but he’s actually great with any subject it seems.”
Lilly is nodding along, knowing how you appreciate academic commitment or whatever, but she seems impatient for you to get to the good stuff. “Yeah, yeah. I’m glad he’s very smart. But how does he make you feel?”
She gives you the biggest grin when you can’t hide your own smile from just thinking about it. “I don’t know. We haven’t interacted that much really, but I like talking to him. He makes me happy, and not so worried all the time. But, I mean, it’s nothing serious. He just gave me his number last week–”
“He gave you his number?!” she nearly screams, her hands squeezing yours.
“–But we’ve been texting kinda often, so…does that mean he likes me?”
“Wait, wait, wait. He gave you his number last week and you didn’t tell me? That’s a roomie sin. But you’ve had his number for just a couple of days and you two are texting each other all the time?” She asks with raised eyebrows, to which you give a small nod. “So he’s really smart, and I know you’re smart. So how can both of you be so dense?”
You burst out laughing at her question, relieved that this feeling for Peter isn’t just in your head. The relief quickly goes away though when Lilly suggests hanging out with him sometime this week.
“Oh no, I couldn’t be the one to ask him to hang out. And it doesn’t matter anyway. We’ve got our big essay due on Friday, and I think he mentioned going out with friends that night to celebrate doing so well at the knowledge bowl,” you ramble on.
“Of course he does academic trivia,” she laughs out. “Well if your essay is due Friday, just work on it together tomorrow! And wait, is he just hanging with friends or is it a party? Did he invite you?”
“Um, I think he said I could join if I want. It’s at that house on Lake Street next to campus. He said you could come too, but I told him I wasn’t sure. You know parties aren’t always my thing,” you say. You hope that’s the end of it, but you can see her already scheming.
She stands up, starting to pace as she thinks. She finally turns to you and says, “Okay, it’s decided. We’re going tomorrow, and I’ll be the best wing-woman ever. You’re welcome.” When you start to protest, she interrupts you, saying, “I will hear no but’s to this. It’s my birthday, so you have to go to the party with me.”
“Lilly, your birthday is today and the party is tomorrow. That’s not how this works,” you tell her with a grin. You hope it conveys ‘I’m kind of kidding, but please don’t make me do this.’
It doesn’t seem to have worked because she declares, “That’s exactly how it works. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. Come on, take a chance. Text him and tell him we’re going!” She lays her hands on your shoulders and shakes you a little bit; it looks like excitement is actively buzzing through her.
You sigh, knowing you won’t be able to change her mind. She’s your best friend, and you know she wouldn’t push you to do something if you really didn’t want to or thought it wouldn’t work out. She must be pretty hopeful about how this party is going to turn out for you and Peter. “Fine, we’ll go. But I’ll tell him tomorrow after class. Tonight is still your birthday, what do you want to do?” you ask, hoping she’ll be done with this for the night. You didn’t mean for a lot of the night to turn into talking about Peter, but that seems to be typical for your life lately.
Lilly places her finger on her chin, tapping it as she pretends to be in deep thought. “Hmm…how about a Legally Blonde double feature!”
She’s already running to set up the movies before you can answer. She’s seen it enough times to recite it line-by-line. You’re worried about starting two movies at this time, especially with your sudden new plans the next day. But you fall asleep halfway through the first movie, waking up during the credits to find Lilly with her head resting on your shoulder fast asleep and hand still laying in the bowl of popcorn on her lap.
You let out a small laugh and quietly wake her up, whispering, “C’mon, we gotta go to bed.” You shut off the movie and start getting ready for sleep, switching off the many fairy lights around the room as you go.
Lilly reluctantly gets up, her eyes barely open. She flops unceremoniously onto her bed, snuggling into the covers as you climb under your sheets. You whisper a good night after shutting off the last light. When she doesn’t respond right away, you assume she’s already fallen back asleep. But then you hear a small, “Thank you” from the other side of the room followed by shallow snoring.
You smile, thankful to have her. You envy her ability to fall asleep so quickly, but thoughts of Peter and going to his party keep you up later than you would have liked. What is this boy doing to your quiet, simple life?
Your nervous thoughts cycle around and around in your head. But what if it went well? You tried hiding your squirming in excitement the butterflies in your stomach are causing. This was Peter, the guy who’s never been anything but kind and sometimes awkward. You could handle that. After tossing and turning for a while, you begin to drift off to sleep with thoughts of his dumb jokes that always made you laugh and his less-dumb eyes and even less-dumb smile.
