True Love's Kiss
Feat. Idia, Azul, Vil
Synopsis: You've fallen under a mysterious sleeping spell. Who can wake you up but your true love?

"ME?!"
Idia's shriek resounded through the infirmary before he was hushed by one of the nurses. He shrunk back in his embarrassment and turned back to the cheeky cat that was standing on the infirmary bed next to your sleeping form.
"Yes, you, shut-in. What have you got brimstone on your ears?" Grim scowled at the blue-haired boy who's hair was becoming quite pink with embarrassment. "Who else would kiss my henchman awake?"
"Literally anyone else, maybe?" Idia argued, hiding his face behind the collar of his jacket. "It's always Prince Charming in the stories. I'm about the farthest thing you could find."
"I think you're plenty charming, Idia!" Ortho chimed in with what would have been a smile if he didn't have his mask on. "Who's to say you won't break the spell?"
"I say," Idia groaned, his voice muffled by his jacket. "Aren't there any other cures? I thought Professor Crewel was working on an antidote."
Before Grim could open his mouth, Ortho interrupted.
"Nope! No other cure!" Ortho beamed with glee uncharacteristic for delivering grave news. "I already scanned and if my databases say there's no other cure than there's no other cure and you have to kiss them!"
Idia whined in mortification and buried himself further in his jacket, now almost entirely engulfed by the fabric, except for the tufts of flaming hair sticking out the top.
Grim tapped his paw impatiently, quite fed up with Idia's reservations. Every second you were asleep was a second that your poor, poor kitty boss went without tuna (he couldn't reach the cabinet where you put the cans).
"I could always go get Leona. He's a prince, so it's close enough, yeah?"
"No!" Idia shot up, his hair flared up in red, startling Grim so bad, Ortho had to catch him before he fell off the bed. Idia took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair until it returned to its regular electric blue.
"Don't even joke about that," Idia muttered through gritted teeth. "Makes my skin crawl to think of that grubby jock getting his slimy lips anywhere near Y/N."
"Fine, if you don't want anyone else to do it, then what's the issue?" Grim put his paws on his hips and shot Idia an impatient look. "You like them, they like you, they probably want to kiss you anyway so just hop to it! I'm starving over here!"
Idia snapped up in shock at Grim's words.
"Y/N... likes me?"
Grim scoffed in ridicule and rolled his eyes.
"Duh! What, have you been living under a rock? Oh, wait, you have, haven't you?"
Ortho immediately began protesting Grim's insult. Idia himself might've been offended if he wasn't preoccupied with his overheating brain.
Why in Wonderland would you like him? I mean that was just a ridiculous claim even though both Grim and Ortho seemed to believe it. Not many people even liked being around him much... but then again, you weren't other people.
You were the one who messaged him to go to sleep at midnight after gaming for too long. You brought him snacks and sat in comfortable silence in his dorm while he played video games. You never expected more from him and without realizing it, he has gotten used to having you next to him. It even happened sometimes that he would turn to say something to you while he was gaming, only to find you weren't there. It baffled him how you made your way into his daily routine almost without notice.
"Do they really?" Idia asked softly, catching the attention of both Grim and Ortho who had been exchanging some heated words of childlike manner. "Like me, I mean."
Ortho giggled at his brother's bashfulness.
"Of course they do! They never shut up about you!" Grim huffed, recalling the countless times he'd heard you practically gushing about the vitamin D deficient geek. "No clue why though. Guess Y/N likes 'em pale and sickly."
"I'm not- whatever," Idia didn't really have the fight in him to argue with Grim's impression of him. He took a deep breath and looked at Ortho. "Do you really think it would work?"
"Only one way to find out!" the little robot responded cheerily.
"What if..." Idia gulped. "What if it doesn't work and I just kiss them for nothing? What if..."
"Shut up and pucker up, dracula! I'm wasting away without my henchman!"
That earned Grim a pair of yellow-eyed glares.
Idia collected himself with a deep breath and leaned towards you.
"Nope, nope, nope, this is a bad idea, I can't do this," he panicked, standing up and waving his hands around in anxiety. Grim rolled his eyes and jumped onto Idia's shoulders, pushing him onto you with all the momentum the little creature could muster.
It was effective. Idia toppled forward onto the infirmary bed, catching himself just in time to not crush you, but not before his lips brushed yours.
Idia jumped back, crashing to the floor quite devoid of grace. He, Ortho, and Grim all held their breath, waiting for something to happen.
"Aw, man, our first kiss, and I wasn't even awake for it!"
Idia brightened at the sound of your voice. He jumped back to his feet to see your drowsy eyes locked on him.
"Hi, Charming," you lazily smiled at the blue-haired boy. "Thanks for rescuing me."
Idia's face went slack with shock and his face turned so red you were afraid he might explode.
"Perfect! Now that you're awake, get me tuna, human!"

"This is such a bad idea."
Deuce echoed for the nth time since Ace had come up with his little scheme.
"I know but just think," Ace smirked at your sleeping body, which the two were carrying through the Octavinelle dorm, Ace supporting your arms, Deuce carrying your legs, like they were carrying a dead body. "Imagine the look on the prefect's face when they wake up and see Azul They'll probably think they're dreaming."
"Yeah, I think they've had that dream before," Grim scowled from where he rode atop your belly. "Wouldn't be surprised with how down-bad they are for that slimy little junior mafia boss."
"It'll be fine, I'm sure," Ace dismissed, ignoring Deuce's concerned look. "And if anything bad happens, it'll probably be the prefect ending up with a contract, not us."
"That's kind of a terrible thing to say about a cursed person," Deuce pointed out matter-of-factly.
"Pssh, where'd your moral compass come from, huh?"
"From my mom," Deuce spat defensively. Ace was about to respond when they were both startled by a looming figure standing menacingly behind Deuce.
"Well, well, well, what have we here?"
Both first years gulped in fear at the sound of the eel's unison voices.
"Is our poor prefect injured?" Jade frowned though his eyes held a devious sparkle.
"Sort of..." Grim started but jumped back when Floyd grinned at him menacingly.
"We can't have Shrimpy being hurt, now can we?" he flashed his sharp teeth at the sleeping prefect. "We'll take 'em off your hands, fix 'em up real nice."
"Will we get them back?" Ace asked, fearing the answer. Jade responded with a squinty smile.
"That remains to be seen."
"Hey, wait a minute-!" Deuce tried to protest but was cut off when Floyd lifted your limp body with two hands and flung you over his shoulder.
"Careful, Floyd," Jade warned. "We can't have damaged goods."
The unfortunate trio was left to watch as you were hefted into the Mostro Lounge, wondering if they would ever see you again.
Meanwhile, in the Mostro Lounge, Azul was peacefully tallying profits in his office when his door was kicked down.
"What the-" he shrieked. Azul stared in horror as Floyd barged into the room with a body flung over his shoulder. "Did you... Did you actually kill someone this time?"
"Not this time," Floyd responded cheerfully. Azul managed to stand up from his chair right before Jade swept everything off of the polished mahogany desk in front of him.
"What are you doing?!" Azul yelled but was quickly silenced when Floyd set your limp body down on the now-empty desk. "Is that Y/N?"
"Yup!" Floyd said, popping the "p" with a sly smile.
"Are they...?" Azul asked hesitantly.
"Just sleeping, fortunately," Jade responded with a similar grin. "But I'm afraid it's the work of magic. They won't wake until..."
At this point Azul was very concerned. His crush was unconscious on his desk and his business associates were far too smug to have good intentions.
"Until what? Seven's sake, just tell me why you brought them here!"
"Very well," Jade bowed his head in respect that felt more mocking than anything. "The prefect will remain asleep until they are woken up by true love's kiss. It is the belief of myself as well as Y/N own friends that you may be able to fulfill this requirement."
It must have been at least a full minute before Azul spoke again.
Jade waited patiently with a smile as Azul stared in shock and confusion, the gears behind his eyes obviously turning at superhuman speeds.
Azul finally snapped back into his regular businessman persona.
"Well, of course, I am obviously the most qualified candidate to undertake his task," Azul said nonchalantly, though both eels could easily tell it was a front.
"We'll leave you two alone then!" Floyd winked suggestively at Azul, the octopus' calm facade cracking ever so slightly.
Jade and Floyd shut the door to Azul's office and he could hear their laughter through the wood.
Azul took a deep breath and looked at your sleeping form. You looked so peaceful, your forehead free from worried wrinkles and lips devoid of any kind of scowl. Azul was used to being on the receiving end of some of these scowls/ incredulous looks. He couldn't deny he might have deserved some of the scrutiny you gave him, given that he did attempt to trick your friends into contracts so you would have to come visit him to save them. Perhaps if you wanted him to stop, you should stop wearing that adorable pout when you confront him!
You took a breath and Azul stood up so fast it scared him.
"Sevens," Azul muttered, running a hand through his hair. "When did I get this jumpy?"
He looked at you once more, taking in every still detail about you.
"Might as well stare, since you'll never be this calm around me again," he whispered as if he was afraid you would hear him through your enchantment. He sighed contentedly as he stared at your sleeping face.
After only a few seconds, he snapped himself back out of it.
"Stop it, Azul, that's creepy," he scolded himself, taking to pacing around his room. "Though to be fair, kissing someone who is under an enchanted sleep is far more creepy than just looking at them."
He peered at you again. Though it was easy to admire your serene expression, it was uncanny to see your face motionless, without a laugh or groan or yell behind it. Azul took a deep breath and steeled his nerves.
"Even if they hate me forever, it's worth a shot," he quietly hyped himself up. "But isn't it just true love's kiss? There's no way I'm their true love, that would be impossible. They dislike me far too much. But I would never forgive myself if I could have saved them..."
Azul grappled with his inner thoughts for who knows how long, before landing on the conclusion that he should just go for it and kiss you.
"If they do wake up, I'll apologize profusely until they forgive me for kissing them and then possibly draft a marriage contract...?" Azul hit himself in the head to snap himself out of it. "Stop it. Now's not the time to be thinking about that."
Azul took a sharp inhale and turned back to you.
"Oh, screw it!"
He exclaimed and rushed back to his desk, pressing his lips to yours before he could rethink it. It was the slightest kiss, barely even a kiss. Azul wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he had truly taken advantage of you.
He turned away faster than even the brief kiss. He held his breath, trying to notice tiny details about his walls to distract himself from the tension.
"What is... Where am I?"
Azul spun around, eyes wide with genuine shock. Upon seeing you groggily looking around, he straightened and cleared his throat.
When you turned toward the noise, you saw Azul, the absolute picture of perfection he always was. You would never have known he was feeling anything akin to anxiety if it weren't for the nervous tapping of his custom-tailored leather shoes.
"Azul?" You narrowed your eyes, taking in your environment. You were laying on a table, alone in a small room with Azul. "What is this? Don't tell me you finally got the tweels to drug me."
Azul opened his mouth to protest, a bit concerned that you were so used to stuff like that that you just sounded tired instead of worried, but he remembered his gentlemanly guise and rethought his next words.
"Honestly, Y/N, do you really think me so cruel?" Azul smirked, praying to the Seven for an excuse you would buy so he wouldn't have to explain the real situation. "I was not the one who brought you here. You were merely... dumped on my doorstep, shall we say."
"I just remember Ace and Grim screwing around in alchemy and they dropped some dumb potion..." You put together vague pieces of your memory before it clicked. "Ooooh, sleeping potion. I was knocked out, wasn't I? Bit stupid of those idiots to bring me here, but isn't that how they always are."
You jumped off the table as if you hadn't just been passed out. Azul was honestly surprised by your chipperness. You sighed and turned to him.
"So what did you do? What do I owe you?" You looked at Azul expectantly. He blinked a couple times before he felt embarrassing heat rise on his neck.
"I didn't- well I- that is to say-" Azul stared, scrambling for words. Nobody but you could make him this inarticulate. He took a deep breath and collected himself. "You don't owe me. If anything, I should be paying you for recompense."
You furrowed your eyebrows, very skeptical of any supposed kindness coming from NRC's resident schemer.
"What do you mean recompense? What happened?"
"I may have-" Azul coughed, trying to brush off what was so clearly bothering him. "This particular enchantment required-" Another cough. "I believe the particular wording was a true love's kiss. I provided a kiss of such manner. Because of the impropriety of this particular cure, I feel a certain responsibility to compensate you for such lack of consent."
You stared for a long time. Azul imagined that must have been what he looked like when Jade first told him about your condition.
"True love's kiss..." You trailed off, subconsciously bringing your fingers to your lips.
"Yes and I will be happy to provide compensation for emotional or physical damages or- or other."
You looked at Azul incredulously.
"You just told me you're my true love and you think I want money?!"
Azul was quite confused now.
"Do you not want money?"
"Well, I could always use it but at the particular moment, what I really want is for this dumb octopus to come and give me a real kiss."

It had been a few hours since you had been unceremoniously dumped on Pomefiore's doorstep. Apparently, some alchemical accident had happened, leaving you magically asleep with no known cure. Crowley had dropped your limp body at Pomefiore and offered extra credit to anyone who could fix you. It only made sense. After all, the Fairest Queen was quite proficient at potions, and so Vil prided himself on the same.
No one else had dared touch you once he spotted your body and glared at them. He had Rook carry you to the makeshift potions lab next to Vil's room. Rook, ever the drama queen, took every step to ensure your comfort while in your enchanted sleep. He set you up on a table with plush pillows and a lacy blanket. Vil thought the flowers Rook had arranged in your hands were a bit excessive but he was more preoccupied with finding a cure.
Vil told himself he was doing it for the extra credit, but really, anyone who knew him knew he didn't need it. Some part of him didn't like seeing you cursed.
For the past two hours, Vil had been rifling through every potion book he had, trying multiple recipes and feeling a little more disheartened every time it didn't work. One of the elixirs he whipped up burned right through his potted fern. He elected not to test that one on you.
Eventually, Vil came upon a book about curse-breaking.
"Can't believe I didn't see this before," he muttered to himself, flipping open the table of contents.
There was only one page on sleep spells. Vil ran his finger over the passage as he read it.
"The only way a sleep spells can be reversed is thought true love's..." Vil interrupted himself with a scoff. "That's ridiculous, that can't be the only way."
He looked over at your sleeping form, clutching your bouquet of flowers. The color was drained from your face and even the shade of your clothes looked grayer. Vil felt a pang of emotion, like a hand squeezing his heart at the sight of you so lifeless.
You were usually so full of life, bringing joy to those close to you. You stayed just out of the limelight, content to support your friends in their shenanigans but having your own fun outside of the public eye. Oftentimes, you took Vil along with you, giving him a taste of what it's like to be treated like a normal person.
It disturbed him so see you devoid of a smile or eye-roll or any sort of emotion that you wore on your sleeve.
No matter what it took, he would find a cure.
"You've already found a cure," Vil imagined you saying to him. "You're just too scared to use it."
"What do you know?" Vil grumbled quietly. Had he really fallen so far he was talking to himself? He wished you were really talking to him, really showing signs of life, even if it was to scold him. "There must be another cure somewhere. I don't care how long it takes me to find it."
"You know true love's kiss is the most powerful thing in the world," Vil's imaginary you said. "There isn't another way. And besides, would you rather me be awake now instead of in the 6 months it takes you to find something else?"
Vil huffed, more annoyed by the fact that he really didn't want to wait than what you were saying.
"Then why don't you tell me how to find your true love, hm? That'll take me longer than 6 months."
His imaginary you just stared at him, blinking pointedly. He stared back, trying to decipher what his psyche was trying to tell him.
"You don't think..." His face fell when he realized what that look meant. "It's not me, believe me."
"Well, some part of you obviously thinks it could be, because I think it could be you and I'm just in your head," you shrugged.
"I refuse," he immediately declared, turning away from where your real self laid. "If you were real, you would not agree. And by the way, who am I to kiss you while you're asleep?"
Vil looked over at your peaceful face and he swore he could see incredulity in your motionless expression.
"Stop looking at me like that, potato. I refuse to kiss you without proper consent."
Imaginary you stared at Vil again, unsettling him more.
"Come now, I don't need this from both of you," he picked up a potion book, pretending to read it.
"You could save me," imaginary you offered, your voice solemn in a way he couldn't imagine perfectly. He'd never heard you that serious. Guilt suddenly hit him in the chest, drawing his attention back to you.
Vil stared at you longingly for much longer than he would have allowed himself if you were conscious. He groaned and walked towards you.
"I want to save you, Y/N," Vil declared wistfully as he stood over you. "I do know if I can be your true love, but Seven, I'm out of ideas."
Vil leaned closer to you and brushed a hair out of your face.
"Maybe I'll be able to do this right one day."
Vil brought his lips to yours gently, barely touching them before he pulled away. He watched your face for any signs of movement. When you stayed stationary, he turned away, trying to shut out his disappointment.
"Honestly, when did I get so delusional?" Vil scoffed, desperately trying to push down his feelings. "In what sort of foolish fantasy do I count as Y/N's true love?"
"Mine, probably."
Vil whirled around, his usual grace abandoned in his shock at hearing your voice in his ears in lieu of his head.
You groaned as you sat up, a bit confused as you examined the flowers you were holding.
"Sorry, that was probably a dumb thing to say," you laughed, shocking Vil with how easily you adjusted to your surroundings. "Though I guess you really are my true love. You can't try to deny it, I've got the receipts."
Vil's lip quirked up at your instant snap back to teasing.
"My word against yours, potato."

A/n: not much to say except enjoy ! I hope this is good :) (it's kinda bad I'm sorry ☹) @omwtfybbbbb
Warnings: none really ! She comforts you
Masterlist
You didn't want to be here. But yet you were forced by your friends. Claiming, "You never got out of your house." - "You're a scardy cat Y/n." - "Loosen up, Y/n." So ofcourse you wanted to prove that wrong. But you were failing. Terribly. So terribly whenever a scare actor would come anywhere near you, you'd hang onto your friends arm for dear life. Was it stupid? Maybe, but you couldn't help the fact you got scared easily. Maybe it was down to childhood trauma so when stuff like this happens it triggers you. It couldn't get worse, surely.
Yup. It does.
You were walking around and for a good amount of time, you thought you were alright. No one had come up to you. Which is why this hurt really bad. One of them, a girl. Comes up behind you grabbing your shoulders briefly and making a loud growl. Your body sinks to the floor curling up into itself as you scream. Billie had faced many people with bad reactions. But not this bad. Not one she'd truly feel sorry for. Your friends tug you up. "Come on, it's fine." But it truly wasn't, you look back at the actor. Tears brimming your eyes slightly.
Her mood changes and her heart aches. She loved her job but not at that price. Sure she loved scaring people but not to the point of tears. This hurt her deeply, and all she wanted was to comfort you. But you were sadly out of sight.
Your friends continue to drag you along until one of them realizes your tears. "Ok, guys maybe we should call it quits for tonight." One of them furrows her brows. "Oh come on, Y/n needs to toughen up a bit." Their voices become distant as they argue. You couldn't take it, standing up and walking off. "Some friends." You mutter, walking along when all of a sudden you feel a hand on your shoulder again. You screech but they shh you calmingly. You turn to face them warily. "Hey its ok. It's just me from earlier." The woman says, taking off her mask. She was gorgeous.
"Oh.." you shy away. "I was going to say it wasn't my intention to scare you but- that's literally my job. I mean-" She sighs. "I just didn't mean to scare you to the point of literal tears." You blink at her. "Are you ok?" Your shoulders just shrug. "I'm so incredibly sorry-" But your tears come again. "I- I didn't even want to come here but my so called friends made me, making me feel like I was pathetic and I just wanted to prove them wrong but I didn't because I truly am pathetic, getting scared over people pretending all because of what happened when i was younger." You sob.
All the sentences were shakily said. She softens her look, going to carefully bring you into a hug. You tightly wrap your arms around her, needing that comfort right now. "They are certainly not friends. Nowhere near that title." Her hands smooth out your hair softly. Your breathing coming back to normal. "Shhh." She gently says. Your eyes close. "You're not pathetic, I promise you angel. I'm scared of alot of things too." You pull away to look at her. "Really? But it can't be anything like this? And I doubt it's silly like mine." "Water."
You stare at her for a second. "Water?" She nods. It honestly made you feel better. "Not so silly now huh?" You give her a faint smile. "You have a beautiful smile, keep it on more." Your cheeks heat up at the compliment. "Thank you for coming back to see me." She smiles, nodding. "It hurt when I saw you were crying I had to make sure you were ok." It was sweet to you. The reassuring nature of this girl was a huge comfort.
"Hey, what do you say we give those 'friends' a run for their money. Literally." She says.
"Great idea."

"Its quite simple my dear…. We play the game of give and take. Cat and mouse. Push…"
Your cries echoed carelessly in your bedroom chamber, hips thrashing from the immense pressure building in your pelvic area. You were nearing your second orgasm, body on the brink of collapsing into the sheets at any moment, but he continued to please you. His eager member taking hold of your insides, kissing each hidden crevice inch by inch.
"And pull," he pressed his lips to yours, that accomplished smile never leaving his face as he watched yours twist and contort into an animalistic pleasure he grew to love so well.
"Isn't that right, Y/N?"
You were poorly trying to catch your breath as you came down from your high. Fingers trembling against the muscles in his back, beads of sweat pooling into your belly button. You thought you were in the clear, that this would just be a usual night of nothingness. It was late in the night and the whole castle was asleep.
Or so you thought.
"Ah! Hmmmm, that fucking stings!" You hastily popped your finger in your mouth, blood from your cut quickly staining the whites of your gloves. You told Baldroy that you were not skilled in the kitchen but with him, and Sebastian's praises, you were stuck prepping the vegetables for tonight's dinner: Lamb Roast and slow-simmered potatoes over a fancy French beef broth. You weren't even halfway through dicing the onions till you felt a stinging sensation  at the tip of your fingers. Shortly after, the blood began to seep and stain your clothes.
"Oy!" Baldroy shouted, his hands showing a mind of their own as they effortlessly peeled and sliced the potatoes into fine, even square chunks. He wasn't even looking as his burning blue eyes bore a hole into your back.
"Why're you stopping? Sebastian won't be ha-"
"To hell with Sebastian, Baldroy!" you spat back, holding your bleeding finger high in the air. "I cut myself on these stupid onions!" Baldroy sighed, shaking his head. He stopped his task, wiped his hands, and stomped your way with a cloth.
He pulled you hand first, causing you to stumble forward. His eyes concentrated on the cloth, pressing down with enough pressure to accelerate the clotting process. You said nothing to him and him to you, the only noise coming from between you two being the sounds of his toothpick tapping against his teeth as he twirled it around.
"I don't know why I can't be in the garden with Finny, I'm better off-"
"Finny don't need extra hands. He's particular."
"Well? Let me clean with Mei R-"
Baldroy couldn't hold in his scoff at the mere mention of your suggestion.
"You wouldn't be able to keep up wit'er."
"Oh?" you were starting to take offense at his disbelief in your capabilities. "Then why does Sebastian put me here with you since I'm so incapable anywhere else?"
Baldroy shrugged, dabbing your finger clean to make sure the blood stopped.
"Feh! If you ask me, Sebastian-"
"Quiet now!" Baldroy shushed you, shaking his head in declination.
"The bleeding isn't stopping. Time for option two-"
"Option two-" you tried to pull your hand back, only to be met by Baldroy's instinctual motion to suck your finger till the blood clotted.
"Ah! Baldroy!" You twisted your hand around, attempting to pull it free. "Let go!"
"What are you doing! Sebastian will-"
"What is it about Sebastian that I keep hearing?" both you and Baldroy's eyes darted to the entryway of the kitchen. And there he stood.
His facial expression showed to be pensive, his arms crossed over the other with an eyebrow raised to the ceiling. This looked really, really bad. Baldroy, with your finger still in his mouth, straightened his posture like a soldier, pulling you his direction at such an abrupt fashion, that it threw Baldroy off balance, sending you both toppling over a barrel of fresh Atlantic Sea Bass.
Some were still flapping around, hoping for one final chance at life. You watched one flap a few times in your lap, hand on your head in full-ridden embarrassment.
You really did it now.
Baldroy was headfirst in the barrel, thrashing around attempting to get free. Sebastian, with his present frown still embedded in his angular face, grabbed Baldroy by the waist, effortlessly pulling him out of the barrel. He pinched his nose and darted his eyes at Baldroy.
"Baldroy, I don't think I need to tell you what to do to fix this?" the fishy smell was starting to linger in the room, making your stomach twist and turn.
"Aye, Sebastian! I'll have this cleaned up in a jiffy!" with a nervous laugh, he stomped away, mumbling something incoherent under his breath. One stomp too hard, and he managed to slip on the fish juice that spilled on the floor as well.
"Woo!" was all Baldroy managed to say before his entire body was coated in the sticky substance.
"Sigh…." Sebastian shook his head in slow motions. You felt you were going to have the slightest tinge of sympathy from Sebastian, but you were wrong. He glided across the room to stand in front of you. Before bending at the waist to meet your gaze, he glowered down at you, his face neutral yet analytic. It made you squirm under your dress, unconsciously pushing your legs together as if he could see right through you.
"Y/N." he spoke out, still looking down at you as you sat on the floor. Why did he have to be this close to you? Couldn't he just go-
"When you're finished here on the floor," he continued, ignoring your subtle blush littered across your face.
"Baldroy will take over. You seem to be unwell, so your services will not be needed for the next two days. See to it that you rest accordingly." without awaiting a rebuttal from you, he sauntered past you, leaving as mysteriously as he came.
Two days?! Your eyes bugged at his request. You turned your head in Baldroy's direction to meet his curious gaze. He yelped, turning his back to you, continuing to pretend to be hard at work.
"Dammit." you groaned, helping yourself off the floor. You didn't even stay to hear Baldroy's questions, you've done enough to embarrass yourself for the day.
//
You stayed hidden in your chambers all day, only emerging to use the restroom. You were so embarrassed! And that… that look that Sebastian gave you wouldn't leave your mind for anything. So much, that you would find yourself having an intermediate flashback of it at random during the day. You tried to even beat the side of your head with your palm to push the memory out but it wasn't going anywhere!
"To hell with this," you huffed.
"I'm going to the library."
at the library
You had books on top of books littered in front of you; poetry, literature, even…
"Huh?" You held up an exceptionally distinguished book in front of you. Its spine was a bit worn but the front cover looked to be well maintained. The language on the cover was one that you weren't familiar with, and you weren't sure, but the more you held this book the more mystified you felt to open it. A bookmark rested in the center of the book that you took note of for later. Tucking it in your satchel, you made a note to crack this open tonight when nobody was around.
You sat there, tapping your pouty bottom lip with a random pen you found lying around. Letting your mind wander, you began to write your thoughts down, subtly giving your mind a break from the monotony of being a maid.
Then, you started to notice your words circulated around a particular person.
I can’t stand it when you look at me, but then I don’t want you to stop. I see you from a distance, and take you in piece by piece. You move as if you’re not of this world. That you’re merely visiting. And my heart worries if you’ll return home.
It’s been so long since I’ve had the company of a man… so much that I wonder if your professionalism will withstand—
Disgusted with yourself, you crumpled the paper in your hand, stuffing it in your bra to burn later this evening.
later that night..
You finally felt free to let your hair down and relax. You hid yourself away in your room, even ignoring the plates of food that was left at your front door. You didn't care who it was that left it, you were too ashamed to show yourself after all the trouble that you put Baldroy and Sebastian through. You were frustrated that Sebastian was so hard on you. To the point you quickly associated his behavior with schoolyard hazing!
But, in secret, you paid extra attention to Sebastian the more and more you remained a resident at the castle. It was subtle, but you would catch yourself staring a few seconds too long at him without him knowing.
"Feh!" You scoffed aloud, aggressively blowing a tuft of bubbles out of your palm. It was then you remembered the book! Your satchel was propped next to the tub you were in, and with eager hands you fished inside for the mystery book you found in the manor's library. Once the book was in your hand, you noticed the candle lighting your way in the bathroom flickering madly. You watched it rapidly whisk back and forth until it settled seconds later. Odd, you thought. There wasn't an open window in my room and there's no open ventilation in here either. You could especially hint at that by the obnoxious amounts of humidity drops scattering across your dampened skin.
"Now, lets see…." you carefully opened the book to its bookmarked page, its pages fine and practically translucent. It might have been a bad idea to bring such a delicate book inside of a pool of water but you were already there. Might as well.
The pictures were that of a woman and a shadow figure wrapping around her. She looked to be.. asleep? There were words underlined next to the photo but it appeared to be in latin. You were rusty, but with a furrowed brow you gave it a shot.
"Hmm… I think it says.."
Advoco ut carnalia desideria adimpleas. Venite ad me, o daemon, et esto cum corpore meo per mediam horam. (I summon you to fulfill my fleshly desires. Come to me, Oh demon, and be with my body for the midnight hour.)
"Huh? What is this book? And who would actually believe that-" woosh! The candle blew itself out, making you yelp in fright.
"What was that?! Oh, dammit, now I have to get u-" Before you could place the book back down, the candle flickered back to life, and with something additional. There stood Sebastian, in the bathroom, peering down at you with his ever present stoic expression.
“Wha-?! Sebastian, what- what are you doing?!” You dropped your torso in the tub water, your cheeks blazen to the touch. Things weren’t making much sense to you. You read a passage to summon a supposed demon and there Sebastian stood?
“I had my door locked, how did you get in?” You quizzed.
He didn’t respond but instead fetched in his jacket pocket for something. In his hands revealed a large key, its hook mimicking the shape of a skeleton head.
“You left large amounts of today's dinner in the hallway. I'm not too sure how you conducted things at your previous establishment," ouch  "But here, we dispose of things we do and don’t consume."
You weren't sure why those words struck you in the way that it did, but it made your head slowly turn away from his stare.
"Why are you here?" you asked again. He could hint at the small bit of annoyance in your voice.
Sebastian's eyes wandered around the room, his crimson iris' darting from wall to wall. Why was he here? The walls were the same, basin still porcelain white with you inside, so what was it that- ?!
He didn't say much to you, which irritated you to no end. Instead, his cool and calculated steps motioned towards your satchel, which instinctively made you block his hand with yours. Upon reflex, he blocked your hand, pushing it away to further dig in your, now damp, satchel. You grew flustered. Who did he think he was!? You pushed back, grabbing his wrist this time.
"What are you doing! Have you no manners? A man is to never go into a woman's-" he was near his point with you. When you attempted to force his hand away, he grabbed you at the wrist with his opposite hand, pulling you to the edge of the tub and peering deep into your eyes. Sebastian has never been this close to you and it made your heart race. What was he about to do?
"Y/N, as much as you want to guilt me into digging into things that don't belong to me," you could see under the faint candlelight that Sebastian's eyes flickered from a pigmented brown, to red, and faintly to purple. Goosepimples littered your arms and up your neck. Something was wrong, but something also kept you there, wanting to lift up Pandora's Box.
"There's a distinct reason that I'm here."
"You have to admit to dabbling in things that you don't understand at all." He tilted his head downwards at the book. Your eyes cautiously wandered down to the book you took with you to the bath and then back up at Sebastian. When the realization flashed across your face, a satisfied smile spread across his face.
"You're-"
"I am. And I was summoned here in the middle of my nightly patrols. Luckily, it was me-" he leaned closer to you, inhaling the lavender fragrance emitting off the nape of your neck.
"Young women like you often get the burliest of demons to come and take advantage of such supple flesh."
"And such a shame," Your breath trembled at how close he was to you. You shut your eyes, avoiding his gaze at all costs. You didn't realize that his hand drifted into the water till subtle splashes echoed around you. "I don't like to be yanked away from my nightly duties to appease the beckoning of a yearning woman. Again."
"No matter. The fact of the conversation is: you summoned me," his slender, firm hands stroked the inner parts of your thighs underneath the water. He could feel your trembling, but he could also note your lack of protest. Even to his surprise, he kept note of how your legs subtly opened underneath the water for him. Almost welcoming him in for a more… humble, stay. You didn't know why your body moved on its own accord, then the flash of your memory graced the back of your mind. There had been plenty of nights in the crevices of your loneliness that you imagined Sebastian, sometimes alone and sometimes accompanied by another. Your most recent memory being one with Baldroy himself.
You swore to yourself you'd never reveal the fantasies that included him and a baby carrot.
"Nobody has to know how naive you were, divulging in foreign bodies of water without knowing full well how deep the waters can get."
He leaned closer to you, a fanged smile spreading across his face as he watched you, prideful, yet willing to his advances.
"But I do have one unpresuming question."
His gloved finger cupped your sex, teasingly rotating the palm of his hand around your sensitive clit.
"How long has it been since someone has, truly, satisfied you?"
"How long?" your mouth moved faster than your mind, catching you by surprise.
"Yes." You could have been mistaken, but his emphasis at the end mimicked that of a hissing snake. Your breath hitched, quivering at the helm as he took in your scent once more.
"Ah- Its-" your mind melted and pooled to the floor as he, subtly, began to rub your sex. The slips of water flickered off his hand as it pressed against your clit, the friction of his glove and the cooling sensation of the waves catching you by an intermediate surprise every passing second.
"Its?" he repeated your words, encouraging you to continue despite his actions. A sly smile spread across his face at the sight of you turning into a bumbling mess. Your wetness could be differentiated underneath the water, and Sebastian wasted no time determining how wet and ready you were.
"Answer the question, my dear." His warm lips pressed against your collarbone, sending butterfly kisses along the sides of your neck and along your jawline. You tried to open your mouth, finding the words to say, but they were quickly overshadowed by his long, prodding fingers. His slender fingers softly prodded the entrance, navigating itself to your begging honeypot. As easily as it was to find your entrance, it was even easier for him to navigate a second finger inside. Your begging lovenest quickly clamped down on his fingers, pulling him deeper and deeper inside of you.
He couldn't help but smile. Hearing your whines and deep, satisfying breaths echo across the walls in the bathroom made him want to pump faster. He pushed further inside of you, using his other hand to rest on the small of your back, pulling you forward against the edge of the tub, encouraging you to wrap your arms around his neck.
"Ah! Fuh- Sebastian!"
"That's it, my lady. That's the noise I was waiting for." The sleeve of his jacket grew more and more drenched, but he didn't seem to mind. You could feel his muscles flex and relax underneath his clothes the harder you held onto him. Water splashed around and outside of the tub, pooling onto the floor and at Sebastian's feet, but it didn't stop his rhythm,
"Sebastian!" You cried out, your hips vibrating on its own accord. You were near your peak, and Sebastian could feel it. But he didn't stop. Instead, he instinctively pulled his fingers out of you, shaking his hand free of your essence before standing straight to adjust his, now soaked, jacket sleeve.
"Wha-?" Confused, you leaned closer to the tub, no doubt a pout etched across your face. "What's the meaning of ths?" You asked, brows furrowing in frustration.
"You can't just come here and stop what you started, Sebast-"
"Oh, but I can. As you probably don't know, Y/N, our kind rely on the negotiation of contracts. Otherwise, we are free to indulge and… disengage, as we please."
"Then-" you huffed aloud, embarrassed at the constant, begging throb emanating between your legs.
"Let's make a contract."
Sebastian openly showed his amusement. Shaking his head with a suck of his teeth. Even he had to admit your naive nature made you quite arousing in the moment.
"I'm afraid I must decline." He pulled off his glove with his teeth, revealing an intricate emblem embedded in his palm.
"I'm already spoken for." the frowan on your face must have been more apparent than you thought by the tone of his voice. "However, a short-term contract can be arranged."
"Short term?" You never heard of a short-term contract with a demon. Did this mean-
"Yes. We can make a short-term contract, that way I don't upset the ones I have to report to." the ones he reports to? Does he mean Ciel?
"So… What are  the terms?"
Sebastian's eyes gleefully flashed red at your curiosity. "Something simple, my dear." it was as if the idea was already marinating in his head.
"I fulfill your fleshly wishes for three days. And in return you are to allow me access to you at any moment of the day. Within reason, of course. But, one being such as myself have ways to even make the most inconspicuous of areas fully obtainable, if need be." He ended his terms with a smile. That same charming smile he would bear to great guests! How cheeky!
With a pout, you took a deep sigh. This moment may never come to you in this lifetime again. And him leaving you in such a disarray turned your logical reasoning down to a mute.
"Fine," you agreed, making his eyes slowly peel open in amusement. LIke that of a cat playing with a fresh ball of yarn.
"I'll agree to your terms. Three days you say?"
He nodded, holding up three solitary fingers.
"The first day starts when we bind the contract."
"Okay…" You looked around, confused. "Do I need a pen?"
He couldn't hold in his chuckle this time. Without words, there was a whisk of a shadow in front you, and Sebastian was gone yet again!
"What?" before you could even muster an emotion, your chin was pulled forward, there was Sebastian, his butler jacket removed, in the tub with you. He sat up on his knees, slightly towering over you, but in his eyes felt such an intensity that it made you squirm instantly/
"Sebastian.. What- What are you doing?"
He tilted your chin to the side, exposing your neck to him. His hungry stare focused on your skin, making you realize that this was, in fact, the bind.
"Just drying the ink, my dear." before you could say much else, he pried his teeth, nipping down at your neck just enough to break skin. You tried your hardest to fight him off, but his strength pushed you back onto the tub, leaving your legs wide open with Sebastian in-between.
You could feel the crimson substance pooling around your collarbone, diluting itself with the damp droplets already littered across your skin, disappearing in pale pink streaks as soon as it hit your bath water.
Your intial whines and shifts of protest softened into deep sighs and moans the more Sebastian remained at your neck. The burning pain soon nulled into a pressure that sensitized your body all over. Your erect nipples grazed against his collared shirt, making you purr at the chill it sent across your body. Sebastian smiled to himself, softly kissing at the bruised space on your skin.
"Isn't it better when you don't resist the devil, Y/N?" he reached down between your legs, fingering the slit of your garden. He took his thumb and circled your clit in slow, concentric motions. Your breath hitched and his pace increased, flicking your love button back and forth, his intentions made clear that your orgasm was going to come first. No negotations.
Still toying with your clit, he positioned two fingers at your tunnel. You invited him in, slyly shifting your hips forward to signal your approval. His deep voice hummed in your ear at the sensation of your wetness. How slick, sticky, and warm your insides were. So much so, that he pulled his fingers out of the water, suckled each one with a taunting smile, and stuck them back inside without ever looking in your eyes. It didn't take long for him to figure out your weak spots, and with that he proceeded to poke and prode at your sensitive areas.
The water splashed around you two but neither of you protested. He wrapped his hand around the back of your neck, tilting it upwards so he could trace his tonge across the entireity of your flesh. Even in the warm water, your flesh grew sweaty, damp, and sensitive to his touch. Your moans increased in pitch as his fingers moved up and down inside of you, kissing your flesh with a devilish kiss.
"Oh- God- Sebastian!" Your hips thrusted forward again, the spasms building in your pelvic area. You were close, and he could feel it. When you clamped down on his fingers, he let out a growl, his bulging manhood begging for an escape through his trousers.
"I'm going to-" you couldn't even get the sentance out. Instead, you clenched his forearm, thrashing your head back and forth as the waves of pleasure took over your entire body. He didn't stop, instead he first kissed your forehead, then looked deep in your eyes. His brown eyes were now a glowing red, filled with lust and excitiement.
"There's nothing wrong with a woman letting her hair down and tapping into her true nature." kiss.
"Release, my dear. Let it all go."
Your mind turned to mush. You tilted your head back, releasing an animal-like whine as your essence coated Sebastian's hands. He took your nipple in his mouth, suckling at its erect stature with hungered care. He flicked his tongue back and forth, nipping down just enough to make you cry out. When he felt your grasp on his fingers loosen up, he pulled his fingers out, swirling them around in the tub to clean them thoroughly.
"So," you breathed, "What now?" He never removed his shirt or his pants despite them being drenched. You were confused but all the more intrigued. He smiled charmingly once more, like he didn't fully pluck you from the garden of purity and made you feel… alive, actually.
He shifted in the tub, leaning forward to move your elbows in an upward motion.
"Wrap your arms around me," he whispered, already palming your hips under the water. You didn't protest, instead you closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his neck. You felt like a feather in his arms! You could feel yourself lift from the tub and, almost like magic, you were in your bed. Even as you touched your skin, you were dry!
"Wha-" you peered your eyes open to see Sebastian between your legs, loosening his tie. He looked down at you curiously, never missing a motion to unravel his tie and hold the ends in his hands.
"Something the matter, miss?" His eyes wandered across your body, taking in your supple skin, beautiful figure and vulnerable expression. Even when you caught him lingering a little too long in certain areas, you didn't stop him. You grew aroused at the sight of Sebastian, and you were sure he could smell it off you.
"No-" you finally said, looking away in a blush.
"Nothing's wrong. I'm assuming this is your turn for our first night?"
"Now now," he climbed in the bed, his clothes now seemingly dry again, and opened your legs with his knees, propping them up so your feet were on the bed and your knees were bent.
"I wouldn't say it exactly like that, but the stipulations do apply," he leaned over you, taking both of your arms over your head and tying your wrists together with the same tie he had in his hand.
Returning back to his original position over you, he looked down at your exposed opening first, licking his lips as he slithered his gaze back to you. You squirmed under your restraints, looking away as best as you could.
"Don't be shy, Y/N. You have such a beautiful figure underneath those frumy maid clothes." no kidding. "Its a shame you didn't ignorantly make a sexual contract with a demon sooner."
"If I would have known you were a demon I wouldn't have even dabbled in said contract…" you murmured under your breath. Sebastian's eyebrow twitched, an amused smirk across his face.
"Hmm." he unzipped his pants, exposing his more than ready member in front of you. You took note of the faint trickle of pre-cum that coated the tip. You felt your mouth salivate at the sight in front of you. You didn't even notice that he was watching your reaction. He took his member in his hand, stroking it to full attention right in front of you. It didn't take much for you to realize not only was he long, but he was wide and a little crooked at the end. You instantly felt your insides moisten at the thought of him taking place in your begging honeypot.
He smirked at you as he continued to stroke. The both of your eyes met, making him let out a groan of satisfaction. He was ready, and so were you.
He climbed over you, guiding his engorged member inside of you. It didn't take long for you to adjust to his thickness, but each introductory inch that made contact with your pussy made you arch your back into the air. It felt like it was never going to stop, but you didn't want it to.
He rubbed your chin, kissing it gently as he let you adjust to him. Once he felt you were ready, he began to motion his hips back and forth, pumping into you in slow, calculated motions. Your body rocked up and down with him, legs wrapping around his waist to keep him in his rightful place. When he felt your invitaton growing louder, he pumped harder. His body rocked you with such strength that he had to hold your hips to keep you from sliding forward. His hips slammed against you, coating his pole completely with your sticky potion. You were on the brink of losing your mind, whining and moaning interchangeably the harder he fucked you.
His eyes looked deep into you, unfolding the burrows of your soul as he continued to pump inside of you. Your juices slicked downwards, staining the sheets with your cream. You couldn't stop yourself from moaning, the waves of pleasure hitting your cervix over and over again.
"Does it feel good, Y/N?" He asked, reaching up to squeeze one of your breasts. His jaw continued to clench, stifling his signals on how delectable you felt inside. You were tight, you were wet, you were pulling him in and he had to concentrate otherwise he would fall into the deep end far too soon.
"Yes, Sebastian." You moaned, biting your lip up at him. "You make a woman feel so good, by the heavens you do."
"Heh, Oh, Y/N, you should know by now," He was close and so were you. He had to halt his thrusts to stop himself from coming inside of you, but it was getting harder and harder the wetter you were becoming. He leaned down to your ear, licking the rim with a smile.
"The way your body is talking wouldn't have a single inch of room in heaven. Now, come for me."
"Sebastian- I can't"
"Yes you can." He pushed deeper inside of you, grazing against your sweet spot yet again, refusing to motion back and forth."
"Don't tease me,Sebastian. Stop taunting me and move, please~"
"Hmmm,' he pulled your hips forward, putting your legs on his shoulders effortlessly.
"As the lady wishes." he rubbed your outer thighs with care as his hips revved back to life again. He bit his lip in concentraton, slapping his hips against yours to make sure you felt all of him deep inside of your tunnel. He gritted his teeth, moaning under his breath between deep breaths.
"Sh- Sebastian! Please don't stop!" You clenched and unclenched your hands under your restraints, feeling your orgasm build in your stomach once again. You clenched on him, making him moan aloud. His smooth, velvety voice growled aloud, pulling you closer to intensify his thrusts.
"Yes! Sebastian, yes!" You whined, flexing your toes in the air as he continued to ram in you. A pulsating feeling rummaged through you and onto Sebastian, causing him to lose his restraints inside of you. You could feel his hot milk coat your insides bit by bit, pulsing up and down against your wetness.
When he pulled out, his hot fluid leaked out of you, mixing with your nectar to create an opaque substance that spilled onto the sheets. With shaky breaths, you opened your legs, welcoming him between you again to kiss your neck, chin, and eventually your lips. He lingered a little longer, breaking said kiss with a smile.
"Well then, this is a successful first night if I'd say. Don't you agree, Y/N?"
Without a word, you sleepily nodded your head, lulling off to sleep almost instantly. Before you dozed off completely, you felt your body shift and the wrist restraints loosen around you. Sebastian chuckled, pulling your hips into the air and arching your back down to the bed.
"My, you're still more than ready even after all you've given me? Tsk, this just won't do."
"But that's the beenfit of going into a contract with a demon."
"We don't sleep, so the nights traditionally don't end in the same length as you humans."
He pushed himself inside of you, waking you back up as he continued to motion back and forth. You wanted to fight, but you were feeling too good, and he knew.
"Its okay, Y/N. You still are under bedrest for the next two days. So nobody will know how much of a lustful demon you've turned into during that time."

Master Chef ― Silver Version ~Let's Make Beef Stew 1~
Silver: Beef stew… A dish needing to be boiled in a pot, of all things. I'm hoping I don't mess this up.
Ghost Chef: "Of all things"? Is there something worrying you?
Silver: Well…I actually have a bad habit where I find myself abruptly falling asleep.
Silver: Waiting for food to cook is no exception… I've fallen asleep while cooking before, leading to many failed dishes.
Ghost Chef: I had briefly glanced at what you wrote in your reasons for taking this class, but I see you were telling the truth about falling asleep easily.
Riddle: It's rather dangerous to fall asleep while cooking. Has it ever resulted in a fire?
Silver: In Briar Valley, we generally prepare our food using magic. This means that even our flames for cooking are produced via our own magical abilities.
Silver: If I were to fall asleep, my magic would also be cut off and the fire would disappear, so even I haven't had to deal with a fire hazard as such.
Ghost Chef: Hahaha. So it was like you had a built-in automatic shut-off function.
Silver: As it was, back when I couldn't use magic, my father would light the flames for me.
Silver: This meant that even when I dozed off, my father would tend to the fire and he'd adjust… I mean, finish up the dish.
Silver: However, as a child I hadn't realized just how much my father had been trying to keep me from danger.
Silver: That's why I had believed that there would be no issues if I attempted to cook by myself…
Silver: One time, while my father was away, I attempted to cook over a wood fire.
Silver: The morning had been particularly cold that day… So I thought I would make a pot-au-feu for my father.
Silver: I was able to chop the ingredients, throw them in a pot, and season everything with no issues…
Silver: But perhaps that is where I let down my guard. I dozed off while the pot was still on the flame.
Riddle: Ah, but that was quite dangerous! It wasn't fire borne from magic, yes?
Riddle: What happened next?
Silver: I somehow woke up before any fire hazard took place. However, by that point, all the water had boiled away…
Silver: So, I added water to the pot in haste, which only served to turn the whole soup black as the charred bits dissolved into the liquid.
Silver: The dish was a failure. The whole house smelled like char. Just as I was at my wit's end, my father returned home.
Riddle: …Did he scold you?
Silver: Not at all. He just laughed, relieved that I hadn't hurt myself.
Silver: He also said that failure was a stepping stone to improvement for next time.
Silver: Furthermore, he scooped up a bowl of that black and burnt pot-au-feu and ate it without any hesitation.
Silver: My father said that it had a distinctive flavor even as it was, but… There was no way it was anywhere near edible.
Riddle: …He seems to be a very kind father.
Silver: He is, I'm glad to have him.
Riddle: Did you ever have the opportunity to learn how to cook from him?
Silver: He is an adept swordsman and mage, but… When it comes to cooking, both the ingredients he would use and the way he would cook constantly changed on a whim.
Silver: And he could never season anything the same way twice… In short, I never found my father's cooking style to be worth referencing.
Silver: That is why I consider myself self-taught. That being said, I always considered a dish good enough if it was edible.
Silver: All I can really do is chop up meat and vegetables and toss them in salt and pepper, or sometimes take leftovers to make risotto.
Riddle: It is fine enough that you are self-taught. I myself have never prepared anything by my lonesome.
Ghost Chef: Okay now, you two! Get to work, don't just chatter away!
Silver: Ah, right, my apologies… I should chop up the vegetables first.
Silver: I'll peel the carrots.
[peels carrots]
Ghost Chef: Oho~ You've got skills.
Silver: Blades are somewhat of a specialty of mine.
Silver: Next are the onions.
[peels onions]
Riddle: Silver, I am in need of an onion as well. Will you teach me how to peel them?
Ghost Chef/Silver: …?
Riddle: Wh-Why are both of you staring at me strangely!? Was my question that bizarre…?
Silver: It can be peeled by hand.
Riddle: I was not asking for the method of peeling, exactly… Rather, I can't seem to grasp where the peel ends specifically.
Silver: Oh, that's what you meant. The peel is the thin, brown layer on top. The white part is what's edible.
Ghost Chef: If there are any areas that seem to be discolored brown, you can just cut it out.
Riddle: I should cut out the discolored spots…? It's a little disconcerting to create random divots like that.
Ghost Chef: Hmm, Riddle-kun, you're very thorough!
Silver: Don't worry too much. At worst, even if some of the peel were to remain, it would just stick to the inside of your mouth. It is still edible.
Ghost Chef: And on the other hand, Silver-kun, you're much too loose-minded!
Tumblr media
Silver: Alright, I've finished chopping up the vegetables and meat. Now, we melt butter in a hot pan…
Silver: And brown the meat.
[sizzle]
Silver: It's almost time to add the vegetables. …Ordinarily, I would just salt and pepper it here and consider it done.
Ghost Chef: That would be a fine dish if it were with a regular sirloin steak. However, shank and tendon taste much better stewed~
Silver: So different cuts of meat are cooked differently, I see. I'd never really thought about that before.
Silver: …Chef, the onions are starting to become translucent, are they sauteed enough?
Ghost Chef: Oh yes, it looks good! Now add water and bring it to a boil.
Silver: It seems we've finally come to the dreaded moment of boiling the stew. I worry I may nod off…
Ghost Chef: Hehehe… Have I got just the thing for you to keep your mind off your worries.
Silver: What is it?

Master Chef ― Silver Version ~Let's Make Beef Stew 2~
Ghost Chef: Let me introduce you to this… Ta-da! An electric pressure cooker!
Tumblr media
Silver: An electric pressure cooker…?
Silver: I think I get it. If I use a pressure cooker, that would decrease the amount of time the stew needs to boil.
Silver: Plus, since it's electric, there's a timer function. Even if I were to fall asleep, the ingredients shouldn't char.
Ghost Chef: Yeah… That's basically it. You got it in one before I could even explain it.
Silver: This will be my first time using an electronic appliance to cook.
Riddle: Huh, your first time!? I have limited experience with cooking, and even I have used an electronic appliance like a microwave.
Silver: Of course I know of their existence, at the very least…
Silver: But I hadn't had the chance to use one since I enrolled here because I would just dine in the cafeteria.
Silver: In Briar Valley, most of the homes don't have electricity, let alone appliances like microwaves.
Riddle: Truly, it is a prerequisite to be able to use magic there, I see… It's a life I could not even begin to fathom.
Riddle: Although, I do believe that my magic would improve greatly if I were to live there.
Silver: With your magical prowess and competence, I'm sure you would have no issues living there.
Ghost Chef: Alright, Silver-kun. Throw all the ingredients into the electric pressure cooker.
Ghost Chef: Select the button on the menu panel that says "Beef Stew" and then press start!
[click]
Silver: It says… 20 minutes remaining.
Ghost Chef: Now you're all set. We just need to wait for it to cook.
Silver: Do we not have to keep watch over the pot? Will it need to be stirred midway through?
Ghost Chef: Don't worry, it'll come out fine. In fact, it'll be more prone to failure if we keep poking at it.
Ghost Chef: Leave the pressure cooker be for now, and instead, let's start on the demi-glace sauce!
Tumblr media
Silver: It didn't take as long as I expected to make the sauce. I guess I should wash the dirtied pot and knife.
Silver: …I need to… wash the pot…
Ghost Chef: Oh! Hey, hey, Silver-kun!
Silver: Ah! That was close, I almost fell asleep. I can't let my guard down for even a moment.
Silver: I have no earthly idea why.
Ghost Chef: Well, since you stole my thunder a bit earlier, let me try to show you how the electric pressure cooker can be used.
Silver: Yes, please.
Ghost Chef: A handy pressure cooker is capable of crating any number of dishes, but it doesn't mean you have to follow a recipe to the letter.
Ghost Chef: If you swap out ingredients or seasonings, you can make a dish that is more aligned with your personal tastes.
Ghost Chef: For example, you know the ingredients we're using for today's stew?
Ghost Chef: If you chose to substitute tomato juice for the demi-glace sauce, you could make a tomato stew instead.
Silver: …My father loves tomato juice.
Silver: If I substituted tomato juice for the sauce… Maybe my father would gladly eat it up.
~~♪
Silver: What's that noise…? Oh, it's done cooking.
Ghost Chef: Go ahead and open up the lid to the pressure cooker. Take care not to burn yourself when you do.
Silver: Yes, sir.
[opens pot]
Silver: Wow…
Silver: Both the vegetables and meat are cooked to perfection. I would have never guessed that they'd get this tender in only 20 minutes.
Ghost Chef: Yes, yes, and now it's time for the finishing touches.
Silver: Now we add the demi-glace and a tad bit of ketchup to taste. That should be about good.
Silver: Mm, delicious!
Silver: Next, plate it and add boiled broccoli for garnish.
Silver: …Good, it's finished.
Ghost Chef: Not bad! Take the plate and head on out to the judging venue.
Silver: Right. No matter how difficult the judge may be, I'll definitely emerge the victor…!
Ghost Chef: Wait, hold on, you're not going into battle.
Tumblr media
[Cafeteria – Judging Venue]
???: Ah, so you're my chef today, Silver.
Silver: Jamil. I've heard from Kalim that you're very proficient at cooking.
Silver: Within the school body, you're probably the most competent at cooking… Urk, am I even a viable opponent for someone like you?
Jamil: What kind of fight are you even trying to gear up for right now? Well, whatever. I'll dig in now.
Tumblr media
[chomp]
Jamil: Hmm… It tastes okay.
Silver: Just okay, hm…
Jamil: However…
Jamil: I'll give you that the ingredients are cooked through pretty well. The meat is so tender it falls apart in my mouth almost instantly.
Jamil: This must have taken you some time, didn’t it? I would have thought you'd be in danger of falling asleep midway through…
Silver: Yeah, I was also worried about that. In fact, while I was waiting for it to stew, I could feel myself getting drowsy.
Silver: The reason this dish was a success was all thanks to the Chef allowing me to use a pressure cooker.
Silver: Since it only stewed for a short while, I was able to push through without drowsing off.
Jamil: That's surprising. I thought the Master Chef program was designed with a focus on improving your cooking abilities…
Jamil: But it seems they provide assistive tools for those who may be lacking in techniques or aptitude.  Good to know.
Silver: That's right, they gave me a good way to compensate for my lack of experience.
Silver: Even if I were to fall asleep, I can simply set a timer and the dish won't burn.
Silver: Also, when the timer goes off, it makes a noise, so it would wake me up… Or at least, it should.
Jamil: How did it ever come to your mind to use a pressure cooker as an alarm clock in the first place…?
Silver: I shouldn't constantly rely on outside tools… But I think it's something that I currently have a need for.
Tumblr media
Jamil: Thank you for the food.
Jamil: I'm not sure how much of this can be said was of your own skills, but I'll say it was edible.
Silver: Well, it wasn't a flawless victory, but I suppose at least it wasn't an abject failure… I'll continue to work at it.
Ghost Chef: Well done! Looks like you made it through to the end without falling asleep.
Silver: Ah… That reminds me.
Silver: I started to think of how I'd like to make for my father the tomato stew and cabbage rolls that you mentioned…
Silver: Perhaps it's because that was on my mind that I was able to keep the drowsiness at bay.
Ghost Chef: That's because we can't help but try to put forth our best effort whenever we imagine how happy people would look eating our food.
Silver: I see… I guess your state of mind is rather important when it comes to cooking.

p1
Tumblr media
Being back at Outer Banks after three years brings back the good and bad memories. It wasn't just a stroll down memory lane; it was a strong plunge into the depths of shared history. The salt air greeted me, it carried whispers of laughter and echoes of heartache.
My return wasnt purely for nostalgia, I had to be here on a work obligation. One of my clients live here, and apparently needed me here for the whole december.
Figure Eight was decorated with festive christmas lights, the holiday spirit clashing with my uncertainty that lingers in the air. I've debated with myself over and over again, that going back was a bad idea, yet I can't turn down my clients.
Unfortunately, the only hotel by figure eight is fully booked and I have nowhere else left to stay. I thought about Rafe's sister, Sarah, but I don't even know where she is now. We've fallen apart since then and I don't know anyone here, but him.
Taking a deep breath, I swallow my pride and went to the Cameron estate. I repeat 'it's for work' in my head as if it's a mantra.
The place I used to call home, the place where Rafe and I share all kinds of memories. It looked sad, it was the only house around the neighborhood that had no christmas decorations, yet it was still clean.
I compose myself, and knocked on the door three times. I hear shuffling and a slightly muffled "hold on" from the inside. I can recognize his voice anywhere, I only now felt the anxiety rushing back to me.
He opened the door, his hair damp and messy. He was in a navy blue polo shirt, with black shorts and his scent wrapped around me. Rafe smelled fresh and citrusy, my body felt comfort and resentment at the same time.
I muster up a small smile, you can barely even see it. Rafe looks shocked, his eyes were wide and his mouth slightly agape. Time had etched its mark on his face, a complex canvas of emotions hidden behind those familiar blue eyes. "You're back," he stated, his voice a mixture of surprise and a vulnerability he couldn't quite conceal. He looked as if he just saw a ghost.
I give him a curt nod. "Yes, for a work thing. The only hotel near here is fully booked, and this was the only place I could think of. I can find something else, if you mind."
Rafe shook his head and opened the door wider. "You can stay, it's just me, anyway." He said, the shock still evident in his voice. I gave him a quiet thank you, smiling at him as I walked in.
The inside felt cold, the ghost of our past danced around every corner of this place. It looked fine, it was obvious Rafe re-decorated and made it more- him.
"Thank you, really, for letting me stay. I didn't know figure eight was such a tourist spot at Christmas." I said, a slight hint of humor in my tone in attempt to lighten up the mood.
He gives a half-hearted chuckle, yet I could sense his guarded demeanor. "Uh, yeah. Ever since I finally took over, I made a few tweaks and this place became a tourist attraction." He said, scratching the back of his neck.
God, he looked so good.
I smile, trying to contain my thoughts. "You're doing really well, Rafe."
He smiles and thanks me. "Anyway, I have to excuse myself. You can take Sarah's old room for the time, you know where it is." He says, grabbing his keys, wallet, and phone, before walking to the door.
"I'm glad you're back, y/n." And with that, he left.
I felt my cheeks getting warm and I sure as hell looked red as a tomato. I think I'm gonna be sick, He looks so good and it's so hard not to miss him. In those three long years, all I could think about was if he was doing well. And I'm glad that he is.
--
Over days that blurred into nights, work obligations mingled with the tentative reconnection between us. Small talk and shared glances became the thread by which we delicately wove our way through unresolved emotions. Rafe's eyes held an unspoken plea, a desire to mend what had been broken.
It has been 14 days since I've been back, and it was already starting to get cold, only 10 days away from christmas. It was midnight at the Cameron estate as I went down to the kitchen to make some hot cocoa. I've been working all day figuring out new designs for this "gala" thing my client is asking for.
I prepared my ingredients, reaching for a mug when I was interrupted by a deep "Hey" from Rafe.
I gasped and held onto my chest. "Jesus, Rafe, don't sneak up on me like that!"
He smiles sheepishly, and mutters a soft sorry. "Sorry, can't sleep. What are you making?"
"Hot cocoa, you want one?"
He replies "sure" and sat by the kitchen island. It's been like this lately, small conversations with tension lingering in the air. It felt like something heavy was being put above our heads, threatening to fall down in a second.
Rafe looks deep in thought as I made his cocoa and mine. His eyebrows always go upward when he's thinking and he gets fidgety with his hands. Until today, I have all his mannerisms memorized. He wasn't someone I could ever forget.
"Y/n, look. I owe you an apology." He says, quietly as he still fidgets with his heirloom ring. His blue eyes carried a mix of regret and sincerity. "You didn't deserve that. My fear pushed away the one thing that mattered the most."
My heart ached, I felt like it was beating a thousand times a minute. "Rafe-" I started, yet he cuts me off
"I wasn't done, sorry. I just want you to hear me first." He says, giving me a pleading smile. I whisper an okay and handed him my special cocoa.
"I knew I would mess it up. Hell, I feel like I really messed up back then. Fear took over me and I thought that it would protect you, but it only hurt you. " He said, his gaze switching from me and the old christmas mugs I bought that he still kept.
"Rafe, it's in the past. We've both grown up and I forgive you, I can never stay mad at you forever." I say, giving him a warm smile and held his hand for a second. He eyed my hand before giving me a half hearted smile.
"In the three years I was alone, I had time to reflect and I realized that some risks are worth taking. " He pauses, standing up next to me.
Rafe was tall, and he towered over me. "I'm sorry for not giving you what you deserved, for being to scared to accept the love you had to offer." He admitted, his blue eyes finally meeting mine. We were less than a meter away and I could basically feel his warmth radiating off of him. and his scent engulfed me like a hug.
"I want to show you I've changed, y/n. I'm willing to do anything, an whatever it takes, to make it right with us." He says, his hand reaching for mine and immediately met warmth. "Come home to me, y/n."
His apology hung in the air, and I stared at him, blinking. I was shocked at how he expressed his feelings, it wasn't something he was open about before and maybe now, he's really doing better.
"Rafe, I accept your apology. But you really did hurt me rafe, and it's gonna take a lot more than this for me to come home. " I say, giving him a tight lipped smile.
What surprised me was the smirk on his face as he looked at me.
"I understand." He says, a smile on his face before getting closer to me. I felt my blood rush to my cheeks at our closeness. The mood definitely changed from emotional to frisky really quick.
"There's ten days left before Christmas, think I can win you back by then?" he says proudly, smirking at me as he maintains eye contact.
I chuckle, "Sure preppy boy. I'd like to see you try."

Good News
Tumblr media
Media The Artful Dodger
Character Jack Dawkins
Couple Jack X Reader
Rating Flirty
Requested: can you also do one where yns father sold her off to Jack
I hummed to myself as I worked in my little patch of the garden, digging and planting little flowers. I saw my father approach and almost immediately I had a bad feeling about this.
"Good News!" He gleamed,
"Ohh?" I glared,
"I have very good news for you dear."
"Oh? am I being shipped back to England?"
"Better."
"You're killing me?"
"Don't talk like that dear, it's good news."
"I stand by what I said."
"I have found you a husband."
"This is terrible news." I sighed returning to my flowers,
"Ohh for-" he sighed picking me up from the dirt and forcing me back to the house "You are to have a bath, wash and brush your hair, and put on your prettiest dress to meet your new husband."
"And what if I refuse him?" I asked as he threw me back into my room,
"You will not refuse him, it's already been agreed your dowry paid." he said "Clean. Now," he demanded shutting my door,
"What happened to me having a choice!" I yelled,
"You turn away ten suitors, you give me no choice you're marrying him."
"UUuuuughhhhhh!" I yelled in frustration, I had a quick back and fixed my hair to the minimum my father would allow putting on my dull blue dress, nowhere near my best dress but I highly doubt this is anywhere near the best man.
I went out and met with my father outside as he wore his good suit, I held my fan in my hand trying to both fan myself and hide myself from this whole situation.
"Straight." He demanded forcing my back straight, "And smile."
I rolled my eyes and forced a smile for him,
"That's a good girl" he smiled kissing my head "Where is he?" he muttered,
Luckily at that moment, the carriage came into view, I noticed immediately it was our carriage meaning Father sent it to pick him up rather than him coming to get me, well that's a red flag.
Once the carriage stopped my mind ran through with who on earth my father could ever convince to marry me. And then he stepped out.
My eyes went wide, as I saw The Dr Jack Dawkins step out.
He hadn't even dressed up, in his usual attire hell he even still had blood on his sleeves!
He was the new surgeon in town, we hadn't met yet I had just heard of him in passing and such,
I glared at my father and he just smiled back.
"Miss Y/l/n" He smiled at me,
"No." I snapped turning to go inside but my father stopped me and forced me back to my place,
"Do excuse her Dr Dawkins, overcome with emotion."
"Yes ange-" I began but my father slapped my hand silencing me,
"Shall we retire to the parlour for the celebratory drink?" he asked,
"That sounds lovely" He smiled,
My father then forced me to walk with them.
I sat in my chair pouting as they discussed me as if I wasn't here.
laughing and drinking between themselves,
"I'll leave you two to... get acquainted." My father smirked before he left the room leaving us alone,
"So? We're going to get married."
"It appears we are."
"I take it... you're not thrilled about this?" Dr. Dawkins asked,
"Should I be?"
"I thought every little girl dreamt of her wedding?"
"Not me."
"Alright,"
"What are your intentions?"
"... to marry you, oldy enough."
"Why?"
"Why not? you're cheaper than a maid"
"How dare you!"
"Look, you're a maid, I don't have to pay, live in my house, and I can fuck. This is a win-win for me"
"I will make your life a living hell."
"So would every other woman."
"So you're just fine with marrying an unwilling woman?"
"I'm unwilling, your unwilling, most we can do is make the best of it."
"And what am I meant to get out of this?"
"You'll be married so your father will stop bothering you, you get out of this house, bragging rights of having a well-renowned surgeon and doctor as your husband and given I work so much I'll barely be home so you can just... do whatever you want."
"Fine." I sighed I wasn't happy about this but he had a point, my father would stop bugging me and as a doctor, he wouldn't really be around that much. "So you're a doctor?"
"Surgeon yes."
"Let me guess military?"
"Ex-Navy"
"That'll be why father likes you," I sighed, "So you'll be working at the hospital?"
"Six to ten most days." He nods "Eleven to five is all for you."
"Fine, you get days off?"
"If I'm not busy yes."
"time with friends?"
"Friday night down the cat and bagpipes"
"I'll allow it so long as you don't come home drunk enough to be hung over Saturday morning"
"...Alright." He nods
"Do you expect children from me?"
"Four."
"One."
"Three?"
"One."
"Two?"
"I'll allow two."
"Good, one needs to be a boy."
"I'll see what I can do." I sighed, "One boy one girl?"
"I can find that agreeable." He nods, "social events?"
"Avoid at all costs."
"Well we agree on something." He smirked "You dance?"
"No."
"Thank god neither do I." he smiled "You cook? clean? laundry?"
"I'll cook and do laundry, you do dishes and handy work."
"Ohh no handy work is gonna be your forte."
"I meant fixing things."
"Ohh. Fine Anything you insist on in our home?"
"Give me a garden and I'll stay quiet."
"I can agree to that." He nodded getting up and coming over stroking my face, "Once we are married shall we start working on our baby?"
"I can agree to that Dr Dawkins."
"Just jack buttercup" he cooed giving my lips a soft sweet kiss, "Pleasure to meet you."
"Pleasure to meet you too" I smiled

Ashlyn Spider-woman AUs are genuinely so funny because this girl would hate it so much.
She already has to deal with sensitive hearing now she has to worry about super strength, spider senses and sticky hands that only relax when she's calm which is like never because how on Earth is she supposed to calm down when she can punch through walls without breaking her arms and can practically sense everything within a mile-radius?!
The sensory overload would be painful as hell too.
If it was set in the canon universe, I think she'd tell her parents and they would all work together to figure out her powers. They'd probably use all the junk in the bus graveyard to gauge how much she could carry and how strong she was overall.
Over time, she'd probably get used to her powers, maybe even find some of them fun. Sticking to the ceiling and just chilling there for hours without all the blood rushing to her head was kinda nice and seeing her dad's reaction to her sticking to the ceiling for the first was entertaining. Plus, the powers made her even more flexible and she's into ballet. This girl would love being able to jump super high.
Tumblr media
But she only really uses her powers at home where she feels like she doesn't need to hide it anymore. I don't think she'd feel the need to ever become a spider-woman. They'd managed just fine without her before and Alto was a pretty boring town. She wasn't a superhero anyway. I don't think her parents would ever want her to put herself in danger like that either. Plus, they don't their daughter to get attention from any unsavoury people or the government. They were both in the military after all. They knew how corrupt and messed up the government could be and they didn't want Ashlyn anywhere near it.
But then the new school year starts and there's a weird new kid that makes her senses prickle with unease. In fact, almost everything about her first day back at school makes her uneasy. The new kid. The shoe that almost took her head off. The new teacher. The field trip. The new kid.
Aiden just won't leave her alone and it was irritating. He was loud and talked too much as well. Still, her dad wanted her to give it a shot and it couldn't be that bad. It was just a field trip, she'd been to plenty of those.
Although the last field trip she went on was the reason she ended up with her superpowers... She really didn't want to go. Especially with Aiden constantly pestering her about it. Agreeing to go felt like losing. Urgh.
She ends up going and at first, it's not bad. All until a woman offers to give them a free tour of a 'haunted' house. Ashlyn doesn't want to go. Something about the whole situation was making her uneasy. But the others all wanted to go so she went with them. The uneasy feeling along with the phantom noises that kept getting louder made it even worse, sweat collecting in her palms and the urge to flee only getting stronger.
So when she sees that creature and the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end, she doesn't catch her reaction fast enough, hastily taking a few steps back.
"Ash?" Aiden said and there was a hint of concern in his voice. The others were all staring at her with varying looks on their faces, from concern to irritation. It wasn't real. She needed to calm down. It was just a hallucination. It wasn't real. It wasn't real.
But what if it was, the paranoid voice in her mind whispered. She had superpowers, who's to say that demons or ghosts couldn't be real?
She shook the thought away, tearing her eyes away from the creature and taking a deep breath before turning back to her classmates. She was being ridiculous. "Sorry, I thought I saw some-"
She was paralyzed in place when she saw them staring past her with terrified expressions, senses blaring with warning as a cold, slippery hand wrapped around her arm.
It was real.
And it was right behind her.

Demi Demon || Alastor x Reader, A2 part 30
Synopsis: It’s been over a year since we were brought under Alastor’s watchful eye. We’ve unlocked our Demonic powers, discovered our own talents, and began building the Safe Haven with Charlie and co. Alastor seems increasingly interested in the power we hold as one and intends to use it properly.
Previous part
Part 30: gone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke the next morning to an empty bed. Alastor's presence wasn't near but the bed still felt warm where he had been. He must've left in a hurry but for what? Normally I would've just went back to sleep and asked him about it later.
But something was off about this, something wasn't right.
I quickly jumped out of bed, falling harshly on my knees from my still lack of energy, and went to my room. I changed as quickly as I was able and went into the haven. The morning sun was coming over the treetops and the first few set of workers were already up and about. I made a beeline for Angel's hut where I know Husker should be. I felt his presence and pushed on it, at the same time knocking on the door. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long as he came padding quickly to the door.
"What is--"
"Alastor's gone."
His tiredness faded. "What do you mean he's gone?"
"I mean he's gone. Our connection it's...it's like before. I don't really...feel it." I was struggling with ways to describe it.
"Where have you checked for him so far?" he asked next.
"Just the house and down here. I'm going to check with Rosie but maybe you can ask Charlie? I have a really bad feeling about this."
He let out a sigh and fixed the strap that had fallen off his shoulders. "Alright. I'll go over and ask. He's probably fine."
"Why does everyone keep discounting what I'm saying?" I half mumbled as I spun away. I melted with Alcine and ran up to the back of the house. I stood over the symbol and teleported myself into Hell, right outside Rosie's store.
Her store was closed but I did the exact same thing I did with Husker, impatiently waiting at the back door. When I explained everything to her, a look of worry finally came across someone's face.
For the next several days, I looked for him. His radio broadcast remained ever silent and our connection remained thin. It was impossible for me to reach him like I had before with Blackwater. He wasn't anywhere in Hell or on the surface. He was just...
Gone.
My panic over Alastor possibly being in the hands of any Angels was somewhat soothed by a conversation with Lucifer. He told me that Angels didn't have power to hold souls in purgatory - that was essentially his job in a way. He also revealed a conversation he had with Heaven. Well, with Adam.
Apparently, Heaven has been upset with how rampant Demons have been on the surface, a place where they naturally didn't belong. They've been arguing for years but nothing was ever done about it. Angel refused to let people know they existed because only their high father could control such events.
It didn't make sense to me.
Regardless, Alastor wasn't in danger with the Angels. That meant he must be somewhere else. Yet there were only two realms. So where was he?
Husker told me that it wasn't uncommon for Alastor to go missing every once in awhile. Apparently he did this right before he helped Charlie with her hotel. The only issue with him disappearing for some time was that he didn't tell me. Considering how we had been the night before he vanished, I had thought he would tell me he would do such a thing, or at least leave a note of some kind.
Perhaps I was wrong.
For the first year, I kept radios in every room tuned to his channel and a single one tuned to random channels. Maybe he would give me a sign through them. Maybe this was something he couldn't tell me for safety reasons. Surely he would want to give me a sign of some sort, a sign that told me I wasn't being abandoned. The only clarity I had of the situation was that he was alive since I was still alive.
The second year I turned some of the radios off and left one on for each floor. I still slept in his bed, wishing and dreaming that he would magically be there when I woke up the next day. Each morning was a disappointment. It was around this time that the hallucinations of him began.
By the third year, everyone had known that the great scary Radio Demon had disappeared. Our location had been leaked by one of Blackwater's men so Humankind and Demonkind alike came after our haven. While the remaining surface Overlords, or anyone wanting new territory up here, tried to attack and disband Blackwater's empire, I was focused on keeping the haven safe. At first it wasn't hard since it was relatively small groups that bit off more than they could chew, however, as time went on, people started bringing in huge groups and powerful Demons.
By the fourth year, I had truely pieced myself back together as a new woman and established myself as the guardian of the haven. I killed enemies, struck deals with new allies, and taught newcomers a thing or two about fighting. The hallucinations came to a near stop.
By the fifth year, the haven had expanded even more. Arleen, who was our lovely architecture and seamstress, was never seen resting. She had gorgeous red wings that mimicked a butterfly's and her personality was as sweet as nectar. She designed a new layout for the rest of the town—though, now it could really be considered a small city. We had multiple teachers, Vivian remaining as the head of them all, several healer apprentices for Althea, a few seamstress assistants for Arleen, an open pasture for cattle, plenty of fishers, many more guards, and so much more.
With the haven expanding and having new things, I also wanted to change my own living place. I painted the outside of the house a more vibrant maroon and fixed the shingles so they didn't look so tattered. I knew the house had belonged to Alastor's mother so I didn't want to change it too much should he return at some point. Reagan and Lucas occupied Husker's old room since Husker and Angel moved to their own secluded apartment in the haven.
My old room was now occupied by two siblings: Nym and Thatcher. They were a rambunctious pair with a thirst for adventure. Nym was six and Thatcher was five when they first came to the haven. They were also children of the ring fights and found it increasingly difficult to make the transition from the ring to the schoolroom. I began working closely with the pair since all other resources had been exhausted, and soon found myself feeling attached like I was with Reagan. Vivian and the others insisted I adopt them, mostly in an attempt to fill the empty house and gaping hole in my heart. So I did.
By the sixth year, I had completely forgotten about Alastor. I would go weeks without thinking of him. I had so much I was focusing on, so much I was keeping myself busy with, that I would fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Occasionally I would think of him and it would hit me hard. When that happened, I tried not to be around anyone for the whole day. It left me annoyed and snappy at everyone, even Husker and Reagan. Fortunately, Nym and Thatcher were now able to attend school without attempting murder on any of the children, leaving me with more time on my hands.
By the seventh year, things had fallen into a routine. I was still the sole protector of the haven and mother to now three children. As things became mundane, I decided to assist the other Overlords in banishing the lasting traces of Blackwater. There was still one large factory hidden somewhere and I would be the one to find it. My reputation had shifted around in the past few years but this would solidify it for good.
I had grown a lot. It was time to show everyone.
♡ Veronia Bondage ♡
Tumblr media
Veronia had warn you about a million times that when her heat started she couldn't have you running away, she wouldn't be able to control her instincts if she saw you trying to leave her, that the moment you even got a foot out of the cave she'd mount you without even a single thought, she knew you didn't want to be with her yet and so if you wanted to not be defiled by her completely then you needed to remain in the cave and allow her to hold you close, despite her multiple warning the month leading up to it though, you made a run for it literally the day before, something she'd prepared for the possibility of and so she hogtied you with some fine silk that she'd obtained just so you wouldn't hurt your hands but still be unable to escape. She just need to make sure you didn't squirm and trigger her instincts to ravage you, she really did want to be patient and wait for you to like her before she mated you for the first time but you were making it very difficult and so tying you up was the only thing she could think of.
"Dearest mate, this is for your own good, my heat is already beginning and if you start running during it, I won't be able to control myself." You glared at her as she carried you over to your bed together in the cave, which she did find somewhat endearing though she had to make herself look away because the pout on your face made her want to kiss you and this close to her heat she was afraid she wouldn't be able to control herself if she did that. You just looked too cute and princess like tied up in those silks.
"Let's go to sleep now dearest mate, forgive me but I will have to hold you." She couldn't lie, she was actually very pleased about getting to hold you for once since you almost never came anywhere near her in the cave, while it did disappoint her it had to be while you were tied up she reminded herself that humans just need more time, with time you would like her.
She really did want to be good at patient, she wanted to just fall asleep with you and ignore her instincts to mate with you but instead she woke up to you trying to squirm away from her in the strongst part of her heat and while part of her screamed at her to not do it and that she should be good to earn your love, the other part was screaming to mate you so you would love her and be unable to leave her, the dragon part of her brain won.
"V-vero?" She stripped off her pants as she watched you try to inch yourself away from her, part of seeing you so helpless to her was making her feel feral. "No wait wait, I'm sorry, I won't run again!" You squeaked seeing that she'd removed her pants and both her cocks were completely hard, her claws starting to shred your clothing so she could get to you while you were all tied up, her cocks pressing against your hole eager to finally have what she wanted for so long.
"Dearest mate..." She growled as you tried to back away from her, though there wasn't much you could do to back away from her when you were tied up like that.
"Wait! If you do that, I'll hate you forever!" She paused for a second before proceeding to press her cocks in anyways.
"I'll just have to keep my dearest mate tied up, like a princess then." That thought delighted her, if you couldn't stop yourself from running from her then she would just to have to be the big bad dragon who chained up her poor princess.
Could you do—Garten of Banban Characters reacting to WereGator!Reader going through the games events to find their nieces? (Same principle as a Werewolf, just with them being able to turn into an alligator. They can semi-shift sharper claws or more menacing eyes.)
Monsters are secretly intermingled with normal society. They just tend to stay out of sight or hide their otherness to blend in. Cause humans are crazy population wise to them, seriously eight billion?! No lone species wants to get that many humans ticked off/scared of them. Reader was really wary of letting their sister-in-law leave her daughters at the daycare. Sure, it catered to monster kids but something was always a bit off… Weregators have strong nurturing instincts when it comes to their or any family member’s kids. The worry was just brushed away as that being in overdrive…
Reader goes through the various puzzles a bit aggressively (never destroying anything outright but Banban can see them barely controlling their strength/shifts).
Oh I love this!! I'll just be doing 4 characters
.......
Banban
You had your suspicions about letting your nieces get dropped off at the kindergarten during "Bring-A-Friend Day".
Your sister-in-law didn't see the problem. Sure, the place was apparently creating living, breathing mascots and likely violating all moral/ethical codes in doing so...but she thought it was fine.
Lab-bred monsters interacting with the natural monsterkind living quietly in the outside world? Surely nothing could go wrong...
Until it did and you found yourself going to this place to find your two nieces.
They weren't even your own children, though as a weregator your nurturing instincts went into overdrive the moment you heard of their disappearance.
And it's for that reason you'd be....quite aggressive and direct in how you solved the strange puzzles throughout the facility.
Nothing pissed you off more than the drone--as sometimes it refused to cooperate.
You came close to smashing the controller numerous times.
You meet Banban after he tries knocking you out, but he's stunned when you barely flinch and tackle him, eyes turning reptilian, alligator claws growing on your hands, and patches of your skin turning to scales.
And you growl angrily, threatening his very existence.
But since he shares Untham's fascination with monsterkind, he just stares at you like you're some spectacle, totally fearless.
"My, what big claws you have....sorry, bad joke-"
"Shut it, "Banban"." You snarl. "Where are my nieces?! I swear if you did anything to them-"
"I've done nothing to them. In fact, I feel terrible about what's been going on here. And that's why I want to help you find them."
"You do..?" You blink. "Then why did you attack me?"
"It's hard to explain. Sometimes I lose control over myself...I truly am sorry about that. Now could you let me go? I think doing that will benefit both of us."
"...how?"
"I promise I'll help you the whole way. Believe me, I've tried helping others before you, but...they were humans. Held back by fear and lack of physical endurance. You, however, stand a chance. But you'll need some guidance. This place is huge, after all."
You were surprised by his offer, albeit cautious of his intentions.
In the end, you let him go as killing him wasn't gonna bring you anywhere closer to your nieces.
He oversees your journey and helps where he can, although he cringes when you damn near shatter the glass panels when solving certain puzzles or fully shift into your gator form when you're trying to fight of Nabnab....
Or when Banban turns into his "hellish" form and tries attacking you, with you leaving some pretty deep scratches on his skin.
Once he snaps out of it, he's like "omg you're just like me fr, we both have trouble taming the beasts within ourselves-"
You take full offense to that and remind him that you're both nothing alike.
Opila Bird Up
She basically fucked around and found out when she first confronted you.
Her screeches of intimidation turned to shrieks of fear the second you shifted into your gator form, causing her to stumble and fall into the abyss where the ball pit once was.
So for the most part..she left you alone after that.
Even Banban was impressed.
When you put her babies back into their nest, she's at first terrified that you were going to eat them....yet you had no intentions of doing so as you calmly greet her before leaving.
Even though she's been aggressive and instigated your transformation in the first place, you saw her younglings as you would your own.
You'd never think to harm them even though everything here so far has tried to harm you.
And soon a shaky alliance was formed, but only because you two shared the common instinct to protect your kin.
The turning point was when you saved Tarta and Opila from being crushed by Jumbo Josh--you literally held up his fist in your gator form so the couple could flee the fight.
Even he was shocked
That's when Opila knew you were someone who could be trusted to the fullest.
Ya'll know how some species of wading birds have gators as their "bodyguards"?
This is where you and her family are at right now. You'll fight tooth and nail to defend them.
She trusts you with her chicks and knows they're in good hands (or claws, rather).
Your end goal was still finding your nieces, but you'll save whatever children you could along the way. Human or monster or both.
Banbaleena
You weren't inclined to sit in some uncomfortable plastic chair and get schooled by this "teacher".
First she saved you from Opila Bird and now she's basically holding you hostage, confiscating your drone.
At this point you're over it. You're wasting precious time here when your nieces could be in serious trouble.
When Banbaleena threatened to tear you into pieces the next time you're "late", you snap right back at her with "how about I tear you into pieces instead?"
As you say this, you show your claws, scales, and reptilian eyes so she knew exactly what she was dealing with.
Suddenly her strict demeanor goes away and she puts you at the "mean kids" table right away.
You suspected her donor feared monsterkind, a trait that was transferred directly to her, as she keeps stuttering when giving the next lesson and deciding you're correct even if you pressed the "wrong" answer.
She can't even look you in the eye and shakily asks you to be gentle with the tape recorders.
Yet she still calls you a "bad student" for leaving and attempts to give chase, but it doesn't last long and she gives up rather quickly.
She hasn't dealt with anyone who stood up to her and lived to tell the tale.
Especially a weregator.
Bittergiggle
He's not intimidated by you in the slightest.
You could partially-shift or even fully shift into your weregator form and this jester will find ways to make jokes out of it.
Besides stopping you from interfering with his plans to make the queen laugh, his goal is to make you laugh, too.
He knows killing you by himself is no longer feasible so he's gonna be an annoying mf who stalls you with bad jokes.
"What do you call an alligator examining a crime scene? An investi-gator!!"
"What's the difference between a crocodile and an alligator? You'll see one in a while, and you'll see the other later!"
When you don't laugh, it just irritates him a lot and he storms away.
He sets Kittysaurus upon you and is shocked when you manage to subdue her with ease.
Not by letting her ram into the walls over and over, but by throwing her into those walls/buttons yourself.
Never did you think you'd wind up in this situation when all you wanted was answers as to where your nieces went....
But you'll be damned if you let some clown and dino-cat hybrid stop you from finding them.
It's actually quite funny when you come back to the kingdom's throne room and see Bittergiggle throwing an absolute FIT because you once again stopped him from telling his joke to the queen.
And I mean stomping, waving his arms, hitting the floor, etc. Just a full-blown tantrum.
"Wow, even my nieces are more mature than you smh"
Something The Cat Dragged In
A badly written COMEDY oneshot. (I have no clue how to write 11 or amy im sorry) No smut.
Posted: July 31st 2024.
Words: ~7,900
Ships: The Ponds, River/11/Simm
Prompt: The Doctor and River are trying to domesticate a feral Master with clicker training, and it's going about as well as you'd think.
This fic includes: Jealous 11, SFW worshiping kink, Horrible cat puns, Bondage, Amy being a freak, Pet play, Degrading, an Oblivious 11, and Mentions of Cheetah Virus changing a bored master's deoxyribonucleic structure. Consider that your trigger warning.
Tumblr media
“Are you sure this is safe?” The ginger man asked, hesitant about the scrappy man that the raggedy doctor had brought on board the TARDIS.
“Absolutely!” He chimed, the smile on his face clearly larger than how much trust he had in this situation being anywhere near ‘safe’.
He knew that smile. That was the ‘I'm lying because I don't want to tell the truth’ smile. The one you had to watch out for. So nervous that fibber was..
“Oh, Amy's going to kill you…”
“I'm sure she will! As for now-” Rory watched as the Doctor jumped around the TARDIS a bit, hitting buttons, pulling levers, twisting dials. The usual. What wasn't so usual though was the fact a half blonde man with about half an inch of dark roots was standing there, Glaring at him. Swallowing, He stepped to the left, and then more towards the Doctor, being tracked by his eyes. Something about the way he smirked with such wide teeth made a shiver run up his spine.
Look, He's met a lot of odd aliens and crazies at the hospital but this guy looked at him as if he'd eat him whole in one bite.
“Doctor-”
“Not now Rory! Busy!” Coming around, He seemed to have this be the entire plan, getting the drop on him as he spun behind him, clamping a thick metal bracelet around his wrist, holding it as he quickly clamped the other. “Hey!
“There we go! That's better!”
Huffing, the man began to try to take off the bracelet only to emit a small red light and a beeping noise. “Take this off of me! Right now!”
“Uhhhh…No.”
“Yes! Take it off or i'll-”
“You'll what? Hm? Still in the habit of telling me your plans are we? God you've always been like that. So clever and yet.. so dull..”
“I am NOT dull! You're stupid bowtie is dull!”
“Hey! Bowties are cool. Now then, Rory this is-... er.”
“Say it.”
“..er..”
“Go on. Say it!”
Taking a breath, The Doctor knew that no matter what he said would be bad. If he introduced him as Koschei, He'd not rest until he at least stabbed him in one of his stomachs.
“Rory, Master. Master, Rory.”
With a great sense of pride, The Master grins ear to ear, Putting his hands out and bowing as if he had just introduced someone extremely important. Perhaps an old friend that once held such great respect but now it seems both of their minds have gone a bit off their rockers. More so the other's, but they both thought this.
“... should I be worried?”
“Oh, Yes.”
“No!”
“Don't lie to them, Doctor! You and I both know what happens when I'm hungry..”
“Doctor? What's he mean by that?” Giving a look of concern, he backed away just slightly enough to trip over a loose wire. This fear seemed to please the blonde while the Doctor rolled his eyes. “Oh you are fine, I just fed you.”
“He's on a feeding schedule? Like… some kind of pet?”
“Do not speak of me like I am nothing but a pet!! I'm far beyond Your comprehensive abilities! Use your tongue to call me anything below your Master and It will surely be a mistake!”
“Yeah, About that, You're in charge of not letting me forget to feed him, okay? Jolly good, alright, Now! I do have to apologize, Your old room was destroyed but we have bunk beds! Cool right?” He rambled.
“Why do I have to make sure you remember?” Rory asks, scrunching his nose as he took another step forward.
“Do you want to find out?” The Master beamed, quite excited about teasing and gaining authority over the Doctor's fellow companions. If anything, They were pets. Not him.
“I wouldn't recommend that! Lets just say, You don't want to find out. Anywho! Back to what I was saying!” For a third time he turns to his old friend, new traveling buddy, hands clapped together politely.
“Your old room is busted. Gonzo! So you'll have to make a new one. Any requests?”
“Wait wait wait-”
“Good god, Rory what now? You're being quite rude!”
“You can't just bring someone aboard who's going to eat me and fly on by!”
“I thought we already established this. Keep up!”
“Yeah, keep up!” The Master shouted, egging the man on. “And if you can't, get off the ship! Do us all a favor and jump overboard.”
At this, he was met with a cross look and his ear being pulled. “Aye stop that! Now you're the one being rude!”
The days that followed weren't so simple. Between the Master trying to get out the front door, snapping at them, insulting everyone he met, refusing to eat certain things, and both Rory and Amy losing sleep with how much they argued, you could say that things were in fact not going well. The Doctor on the other hand said differently, claiming that it took time to get used to TARDIS living arrangements.
The thing that really got him rowdy though was his vaccines. Between scratching, cursing and kicking, it was a wonder how the Doctor was able to manage him at all, even if his methods weren't exactly filled with the most logic, some being closely related to rewards.
When the Master DID finally escape, his punishment was to wear a bell. That's it. A normal bell. Quite a large one though. Suited more for a large dog then a cat.
When he purposely shoved all the trinkets and containers off of the top of the fridge in order to sit on top of it, The Doctor made him a loft to lay on with his own window.
This seemed to have worked for a while, watching the stars as they floated by. But then when the problem arose of him not eating, The Doctor gave him a bean bag chair hoping having his own special spot would make him feel better.
But it didn't. If anything he only ripped it up, purposely destroying it. Coming back to the TARDIS to that kind of mess was enough for Amy to suggest getting rid of him or perhaps caging him up when they left but the Doctor was just in awe at how relaxed he was, snoring ever so softly while lounging on his loft as if he were purring from curing his boredom for the day.
“Aww Amy.. I couldn't. Look how happy he is.”
“He trashed the TARDIS! I thought you said you were going to take care of him?”
“I am! It's just… oh what's that word?”
“Hard?”
“Impossible?”
“Nothing is impossible.” He says, shaking his head.
“But you said that tons of times..”
“And yet none of them were true!” He says, wagging a finger. “I just have to think.”
So he thought. What else could he do? The Master was bound to rebel. That's been proven already.
“Well you better do it soon or else he's going to rip up your fez next..” this gave him an idea.. quite a large one at that.
“Oh Rory!! Wonderful Rory!” He says, grabbing his face as he holds him tight with that excited but manic glint.
“That's just what he needs!”
The two watched as the Doctor ran off to the console, trying to jump over the billions of beads only to slip, Falling for only a moment, popping back up over on the other side.
“A .. fez??”
“No!- well. Yes. But no. You'll see! Now go on. Don't you have erm-” he waved his hand at them, his brain doing that thing where his words were all jumbled up inside, making it difficult to speak. “Kissing to do? Or something? Don't worry about me I got a lot of cleaning up to do and- OH yes! Amy, are you finished playing that game with the rope? You know, the one you told me about?”
The ginger man's eyes widened greatly as he gave his wife a look of terror. The kind you only get when your head was screaming ‘WHY WOULD YOU TELL HIM THAT?!’
The woman now blushed, Crossing her arms as she returned the look to her husband, implying that she had everything under control. “You mean that one where we pretend to be Fenrir and see how long it takes to get untied?”
“Yes!” He snapped his fingers. “That one! Quite a loud game is it not? Anywho- Can I have the rope back? I'm glad you two wish to practice kidnapping safety but I'm afraid In this era people are going more with handcuffs then rope.”
Amy's eyes became brighter, the kind that scared her husband to death.
“Handcuffs you say?”
“It seems in most situations they're used more often than rope nowadays.”
“Is that so?”
“..Why are you asking like that?”
“I was just wondering…What if we practiced getting out of handcuffs instead then? It would make a lot more sense to practice with modern tools then-”
“Oh will you SHUT up!? Get a room will you?! God. It's bad enough I'm stuck here with you two. I don't want to hear that either!”
Glancing up, the Doctor grinned seeing the Master awake and his same cranky self.
“Oh, be nice! They do have a room!...Still don't know why you'd ever want me to take out the bunk beds though…” he muttered this last part, rubbing his chin.
“Soooo….Doctor? Cuffs?” Amy started, rocking back on her heels.
“Oh yes! Here you are.” Tapping a button on the console, a small drawer popped out as he tossed two sets at the red head, Tapping another as a door in the wall opened up, revealing cleaning supplies. “Now, if you excuse me. I have work to do. And you mister! You're going to help me!” He shouts, only to be given a lazy bird and a “No i'm not.”
Sighing, the Doctor made a face of disappointment but wasn't surprised.
“I suppose you're not… Got it..”
It's been about 2 months since the Master joined their voyages. So far he's only had about 30 true crimes, and by that I mean he caught one of the homes they visted on fire.
About 53 “naughty” days. The Last week though? It's been secretly excellent. The Doctor thought that things were going great.
He's found that by giving the Master MORE freedom, he's actually learned how to behave quite a bit. It seems that separating him from the tasks of everyday life made him feel unwanted and untrusted (for obvious reason).
Hell, even he was shocked when told he was allowed to do important things.
Not only did he now have free range of the TARDIS but he was allowed to do mostly everything. He's even tried his luck at pushing buttons by sniffing around the other companions' rooms, knocking over and purposely misplacing things. All of which were met with a short talk and sometimes a hug.
This confused him greatly. He just broke something, why was he being forcibly hugged and then scolded? The Doctor would tell him to clean it up and if he didn't would get locked in the room (so he couldn't make another mess) forced to observe as the Doctor cleaned it himself.
He still had the bio bracelets so that he couldn't fully man the TARDIS but the Doctor began asking him to pull levers and asking his opinion on things. But why would the Doctor want his advice? He was a mere prisoner… usually captains of a ship didn't ask the people in the cellar for advice.
His bell had been kept on for safety reasons, mainly because he thought it was funny to chase Rory around until Amy came to spoil the fun by spraying him with a water pistol holding a liquid he couldn't quite place. Sometimes it stunk.
Once he opened his mouth to hiss at her and it went straight down his throat, cutting off the noise as he growled, only to realize it was sweeter than regular water. What was that? Sugar water?? No if it was sugar water it wouldn't stink like that..
Looking out his window, he was content as he watched the stars pass by, not entirely sure of what planet they were at but had a close enough idea of which solar system they were in. He could feel that they were extremely far from earth, further then that pathetic planet pluto, further than alpha centauri, and even further than Estello Aqualo, a planet full of nothing but water inhabitants.
Oh how he hated water planets. He much preferred reddish orange planets like Mars, Jupiter And Saturn. They reminded him of home… and the fact that blue was SO Last millenia-
While laying up here, up on his metal loft, He was mindlessly thinking, something he couldn't often do because of the constant thumping in his head but he's found that these bracelets dimmed the sound into a small tap rather than a thump of a hammer against his skull. He still heard it, oh yes he definitely could but it was much softer. Almost like a lullaby.
Lazily tossing the Doctor's ridiculous fez up and down, he wondered if the Doctor would be able to ever take it away… Rassilon only knew just how threaded the beat been woven into his life. And as much pain as it has caused him… He couldn't help but wonder…
What would he be without it?
Would he go back to being who he was before? An innocent child hoping, praying, Waiting until the day he received his Time Robes and was given his own TARDIS 60? Until he was gifted the honor of having his own team to command?
A team of his friends?
Until he was on the same team as Theta…?
No.
He could never stand with the Doctor. Never fully on the same team but yet- He sat up. They reminded him of those cartoons he watched when on earth.
Wile E Coyote and the Roadrunner.
Iron Man and Captain America.
Batman and Joker.
The Master looked at the hat in his hands, pondering if he should put it on.. or perhaps throw it out the window! Or…
“Has anyone seen my Fez? I seem to have misplaced it.”
“Have you checked your room?”
“I've checked my bunk, yes. I've also checked the clothing closet and storage rooms.”
Listening from above, he let out a deep sigh, hoping down with a clattering of the TARDIS grate underneath. Being glanced at, He took a few steps forward, handing him the hat.
“Wha- Oh! Thank you!” Taking the fez he smiled, putting it on as if he seemed incomplete without it only to quickly hug him before bouncing off to what ever nonsense he was up to now.
Returning the hug, He didn't seem to notice until Rory stood there, Staring at him with an open mouth.
“What?” He grunted.
“...You..”
“Spit it out you ape.”
“..You returned his hat..”
“Congratulations. You have eyes.”
“No no no, I mean… you returned his hat.. and hugged him..”
“He hugs all of us all the time, whats your point? If you say something stupid like friendship im going to stab you.”
“But today you hugged back. You never hug back.”
“And? so Wh- Oohh ….” Now freezing, He blinked. He did do that.. didn't he? Why did he do that?!
Why did he give it to him so easily? He didn't even ask for it back and he just.. handed it to him? And not only the hat but he returned his hug too?
….Why did I do that?
Now the two stared at each other, both worried and concerned on different levels for opposite things. One worried if he was getting soft, or possibly being brainwashed, the other concerned that he was about to lose an arm.
The silence only broke when he looked at his hands and muttered “Am I sick?? Don't answer that!”
Opening his mouth to reply, Rory immediately shut it, Nodding softly in understanding. While he was quite a brave man, he was smart enough to know that the Master WOULD in fact eat him. And the Doctor couldn't save him forever…
For the next couple of days, he thought about this heavily, deciding that next time he would rip up the hat on purpose. Yeah that'll show him! As for now, He had been standing by the control console, looking at the destination only to scrunch up his nose.
Oh great. Earth. 44 BCE. Just what they needed. More interactions with uncivilized humans fighting over politics… at least this would be entertaining. Assassinations always were when they succeeded.
Coming up to the console, The Doctor clicked a few things, Petting part of the tubing with a happy hum. The hum was slow and sounded like something he'd heard many many years ago. Something of taste. Yawning, He listened to the humming until the Doctor walked off to do something else before unconsciously bee lining for his room.
Climbing into the top bunk (The Doctor had the bottom one whenever he did decide to sleep so it was barely used.) The Master pulled the blankets up around him. Tugging his pillow close, closing his eyes. It didn't take long until he started making rhymed breaths, a rumbling in his chest and throat starting to form from the amount of comfort under the thick blanket.
He got cold easily, as most Gallifreyans did due to the natural heat that they grew up with. Even during his time as Prime Minister he wore layers. Lots of them, blankets in the Limos and curling up to Lucy in an attempt to steal what little warmth humans had. Why the Doctor favored London, a cold, rainy and cloudy place? He'd never know. He prefered somewhere warm. Usually the warmer, the more interesting beasts to see scare small children.
A few moments later he stopped the purring, opening his eyes with a confused “Wait a minute..” look. Why was he sleeping? He wasn't even tired and it was 1 in the afternoon. His regular nap time wasn't until 4.
What in all things unholy was going on?? Did the Doctor do this? A curse perhaps? Was it these?
Rolling over, he looked at the metal on his wrists and for the 14th time he began to gnaw on the bracelets, growling in frustration. What was going on!? Whatever it was, he didn't like it… Mmh…Oh well. He was already there.
The next day, a certain clattering of pans made him perk up. He was swinging in his rope hammock, batting at the decorations that the Doctor specifically told him not to mess with, climbing on them, tugging them, kicking them, biting them, etc.
Anything to try and ruin it but it was proving to be quite difficult to do and not be caught seeing as it was thick enough to not break easily.
Sure, he could just rip them down with the strength he had but that would be no fun. It would cut the fun by 78% actually. He'd already done the math. Whenever someone could come in, He'd instantly stop and pretend to be innocently snoozing.
The pang of pans though? That was enough to bring him down. Climbing out of his swing, the Master followed the noise, coming to the kitchen as he sat at the table, the chair specifically to the left side, separated from the others. A nice pillow on his chair as well.
Honestly he was quite proud of this one. The Master had thrown a fit for hours straight until the Doctor gave him a special chair and now he sat in it like a king peering over his subjects (when in truth, It's just because everyone else was too scared to sit next to him while he ate, afraid they'd get snapped at or bitten if the Master thought they wanted his food)
Sitting here, he waited. Patiently at first but his patience was quickly running out when seeing no one else was coming. Hadn't they heard? Were they not hungry? Well good. He'd simply have it all then. There was no waste on this ship. None at all thanks to him, except when it came to pickles or cucumbers. He hated them. They looked and smelled foul enough for him to hiss, gag, and vomit all at once.
Eventually, his patience grew tired as he looked to the redheaded woman who dropped these pans everyday. For some reason, the Doctor kept these pans up high and getting them down was a nightmare, even for him.
You had to move the pans in order to get the plates behind them. Honestly, the kitchen's arrangement system made him think of the time the Doctor used to store his robes with his socks and his shirts with his underwear.
Who did that??
“Where is everyone?” He asked her, in which turn she turned to glance at him, having heard the jingling of his bell already.
“What do you mean?”
“It's time for a meal…yes?”
“No?? it's 3 pm. Why would you think it's time for dinner already?” She asked.
The Master paused.. Why did he think it was time? Wait, why did he come in here in the first place?
Oh yes! The pans.
“You.. dropped the pans.” It was said with a questioning tone at the end more than a statement.
“Yeah? I drop them every time because this kitchen is an utter mess.”
“riiighht…”
As much as he didn't want to admit it, Amy was right. This place was a disaster. If he didn't enjoy the chaos of watching the humans try to figure out the unorganized kitchen he'd say screw it and fix it himself. But what fun would that be?
“What do you want anyway?” She grumbled.
“What?”
“You heard me. What do you want? What stupid little plan do you have now? Come to remind me how dumb I am for dropping everything? Going to threaten to eat me? ...Again?”
The master blinked, tilting his head.
“Well… No I-” Wait.. How dare she speak to him like that! But.. yeah.. why did he come to the sound of the pans? It was odd. Even For him. Perhaps he got his hours mixed up?- No. It was something more than that. Something he wasn't able to figure out.
Seeing the confusion on his face, Amy frowned, now feeling a little bad. “Oh… Are you hungry? Do you want a snack or..something?”
“Huh?”
“It's just that.. you ran in here like a cat hearing a can of tuna being opened.”
“What!? I did not!”
“Oh you SO did. Here, I'll ask the Doctor where he keeps the snacks for you, okay?”
“What do I look like a dog?”
“He mentioned something about buffalo lungs the other day.”
As if hearing a magic word, He smiled at her widely, the kind he only did when actually excited. “He did? Where?”
“But I dont know if they're yours or his… he eats some pretty weird stuff.”
“Aye! Are you insulting our culture?”
“Maybe I am. What are you going to do about it, bellboy? He's not going to give you a treat if you keep misbehaving.”
Glaring, his arms crossed. “...You're the one being rude.. the Doctor says I'M not allowed to be rude so why can you? God he was always a hypocrite..”
“Look just-” But before she could continue, he heard a different noise. A known squeak of an in-need-of-oil door. Turning away, he ignored her, taking off towards the door.
“Typical..” she sighed, figuring she might as well go see if the Doctor would share his snacks or not, just incase he came back.
Running through the TARDIS Involved jumping over a couple of things and coming to a stop as he saw that curly headed woman standing in the doorway holding a box.
Stepping deeper into the TARDIS, Her heels tapped, No- Clicked against the tile, humming as she spun around what looked to be a set of keys on a colorful keychain. She was sporting a sun hat and far less clothing than he remembered her from last time. His nose scrunched at the smell of sun lotion.
Peering out the door, he seen tons of reddish tinted sand and a sky of orange, yellow, pink. A sea of red. A large pink moon, visible in the sky from where he stood. Where were they? When did they land?
“Ah ah ah- Not so fast Kitty. Where do you think you're going?” She asks, smirking with that type of affection that the Doctor would give him at times before snapping the door closed. It was so annoying..
Beginning to glare from the nickname, a quiet growl rose in his throat. She called him this because of the bell around his neck and the fact that she had caught him “purring” in his sleep, when OBVIOUSLY it was snoring. Duh.
“Why are you here?”
“I could ask you the same thing, pumpkin.”
His nose scrunched further, Tilting his head like a confused puppy, the way the Doctor does at times. “Why are you calling me a squash?”
“It's a form of endearment! I er- I think?”
Turning, He rolled his eyes. Oh great. Someone else who was annoying- Though… He looked.. different today. His hair was pushed back and shiney, probably with gel. He had that hideous footwear on again too, but now he was wearing a half opened blue palm tree shirt with parrots and coconuts on it. For a moment he was going to question why his shirt was half undone but saw him quickly trying to finish buttoning it up.
“Hello, Sweetie.”
“H-hi” His friend stuttered, trying to stay focused on his buttons and not the fact River was in a two piece and a small cover up tied around her waist.
“What's the rush? You act like you don't want me seeing you.”
“Oh n-No! Nothing like that! Not at all I just thought-”
River leaned in close to his face, that same smirk plastered onto her lips.
“You thought you wanted to make me work for it… Didn't you? Want me to rip it off with my teeth? You naughty boy.”
“I-..” The Doctor swallowed, looking as if he malfunctioned, like a restarting cellphone.
The Master made a fake gagging noise, rolling his eyes even harder as he pointed into his mouth.
“I thought I told you not to be rude?” Was the first thing the restarted phone said once it finished rebooting. Being scolded felt nice. All eyes in the room on him.
“What? I didn't even say anything this time.” He teased.
River smiled wider, fondly shaking her head as she handed him the small Rainbow clicky key chain. It was shaped like a slug and when you shook it, it made noise and moved in a slithering motion.
“You open that box, and it's yours, sweetie.”
“Why are you calling him sweetie?” He asked, stepping forward as If wanting attention too but she ignored him for now. She watched with a pleased grin as he took the box, looking at it, shaking it next to his ear.
“What is it?”
“Spoilers.”
“.. I hate when you say that..”
“I know. I've been having some trouble with it. The box I mean” She explains, her boyfriend now cocking a brow, pouting that the Master was getting more attention then him. If he knew one thing about River, it's that his dear Melody would never give a box to a man if she had trouble opening it. She'd just blow the lock off with one of her fancy guns.
“No you're no-”
She kissed him, grabbing his bow tie and staining his lips that bright red that she wore often. During their kiss, one of his once flat hairs stuck up, flopping over into his face.
Pulling away, he took a breath, baffled at what in the world was going on.
Completely ignoring this, as this was common whenever River came by, The Master was sitting on the floor, shoving One of the dozen keys into the hole, jiggling them around, cursing under his breath whenever they didn't work. Blinking, The Doctor smiled seeing how entertained he was, leaning in close to the woman. “What actually is in that box, River?”
“Oh you two are so much alike. Too curious for your own good.”
“What? No. We're nothing alike.”
“Yes we are. I've been saying this for eons.” the man on the floor muttered, Putting his arms up in triumph as he got the right key out of the dozen.
“What is it?” The Doctor asks, trying to peer over his shoulder.
“It's mine, that's what!” He says, taking out a box all taped up in clear cellophane but he could see the label, grinning widely to himself, keeping it close so the Doctor couldn't see. He knew he'd want to take it away. River was always bringing him treats. As many times as she made him gag, he always knew that her heels meant something good.
Glancing at River with those big puppy eyes, she giggled, taking his arm as she whispered to him. “It's a knife.”
“A what?! Why would you give him that!? You know he's-”
“Ooh hush. Let him have some fun.”
“If by fun you mean killing your parents and possibly me then sure- River why would you-”
She kissed him again.
“Mh- Thank you but you can't just keep-”
And again.
“River!” He whined
And another.
By now, he's learned not to speak or else she'd kiss him a fourth time just to shut him up. Not like it was a bad thing but he really was concerned.
“There's a good boy. Now. Is operation cat-astrophe still happening?”
For a moment or two, he seemed confused until she put her head towards the Master in which he gasped, nodding. “Oh Yes!”
“I see that Door is a check.” She mumbles, remembering how quickly he came when the door was opened.
“We're working on that. Clicky treats is a go I suppose?”
“Mmmhm. You should have seen how happy he was to see me.”
“Good good.. Just wished you would've chosen a different gift..”
“Just watch And see, sweetheart. Goodness so impatient.” She whispered.
During this conversation, nothing else mattered to the Master except biting and tearing through these 10 layers of tape. Growling, he was becoming a bit frustrated, but it only seemed to make him work harder at it, sticking out his tongue for maximum brain operation.
“Oh I love when he makes that face.”
“What face??”
“With his tongue? It's like you and your glasses.”
“What? No-”
“Yes.”
“AHA!!” He had finally ripped open the box, giggling to himself as he took his prize, quickly running off, probably to go attempt a murder.
“Hm. Well that lasted about 5 minutes…”
“How long do you think until he realizes it's bio locked?” She whispered, smirking like ever.
Staring at her, The Doctors grin grew. “Aahh I see.. you..”
“Mhm.”
“So that-”
“Yes.”
“And now?”
“Yup.. aannnd here he comes.” She could hear the incoming jingling from his bell serving it's purpose.
Coming back to them both, he was pissed. He had just tried to stab Amy and nothing happened, The blade just went inside like one of those cheap toys from the supermarket. He felt the blade. It was real, not plastic, So why wasn't it working? It wasn't fair.
“What did you do to my knife!?”
“Whatever do you mean, Pumpkin?”
“Stop calling me a squash you witch! I can't stab anybody! What kind of present is that!?”
“Did you try stabbing… Things?” River says, raising her brows in a pleased, smugness.
“Things?” Pausing for a few seconds, He soon got the biggest shit eating grin, Running away a second time. Moments later, they heard a crash, laughing, and a loud “Hey!!”
The Doctor blinked. “...He just broke your mothers vase..”
“It was a hideous vase.”
“River!”
“What? Now come on. We have some more training to do.”
Later, after the Master destroyed exactly 3 ceramic things, stabbed the table to death, ripped up all Rory's pillows, and used his new toy to cut up some cheese as a snack, He now was curious about the door again.
Sneaking towards it and looking outside like a cat that wanted to go out but was nervous he'd get scolded, he watched as the Doctor set up lounge chairs and towels on the beach.
Again the heels. Part of him became excited. He liked that clicking- But why? Since when did he like River?? He didn't. He didn't like anyone on this damned ship that he was prisoner to.
“Hi cupcake. You wanna go outside sweetpea?”
His eyebrows scrunched. “I'm not a baked goods… Or a flower. Are you insulting me?”
“Terms of endearment, dear. Remember? Anyway, Let's say you and me go outside hm?”
He looked at her with hesitance. She was being suspicious… He wasn't allowed outside. What was this? Some sort of test? Fine. He'd play their game.
“No… I'm not allowed outside.”
“Aww why not?”
“Cause..??” Was she stupid? Prisoners weren't allowed to leave. That's the whole point of his cuffs And collar. Kept on an invisible, metaphorical leash at all times.
“Well… The Doctor and I are going to sit on the beach. Do you want to come?”
The light in his eyes alone was enough to make River want to hug him to bits. Why were Time Lords so cute? Was it some sort of defense mechanism? Or was it the Feline Virus thing the Doctor told her about lingering in his genetic code?
Starting to nod, he quickly stopped, now playing with his hands. “no.. I'll get in trouble..” and just like that, that light died so soon. So short lived. Frowning, she almost felt pitiful for him. “That is true… but wait! Have you ever tried.. you know.. asking?”
“A-asking to go outside..?”
“Yes.”
“He'll just say no. Every time I get out, I get in trouble.”
“But did you ask?”
Poking his fingers together, he made a sound that sounded uncertain. It broke her heart. Now she was going to scold her husband.
“Alright.. well.. if you want to come join us outside, All you have to do is ask. Mkay?”
And she took off her heels, setting them up on the TARDIS dash only to walk out barefoot, the red sands making footprints as she went.
Standing at the door, now he was really unsure. This felt like a trap.. why would she tease him with freedom like that? Why would she give him a knife? And for the love of god- Why did he get excited when he heard her heels clicking on the TARDIS floor?
Slowly, he peeks his head out of the TARDIS, looking around the planet, The sky, the waves, the footprints she left.
“Hey!” Becoming startled, he jumped a bit, ducking back into the blue box. He wasn't entirely sure if these cuffs would electrocute him if he left or not.. even though Amy joked about them being shock bracelets… The Doctor couldn't do that..
Right?
“Do you want a Jelly worm?!” This was shouted from about 50 feet away by a man with his shirt half unbuttoned, holding a bag of candies while River slathered sunscreen all over him.
“I think theyre called Gummy worms, dear.” She mumbled.
“I'm certain they're called jelly worms.”
“Oh yeah? Read the package.”
Looking at the pack, He pouted. “Jelly worms sound cooler.”
Blinking, The Master wondered if he was talking to him or someone else.
“Me?”
“Yeah! You want a ‘Gummy worm'?!”
“What’s a gummy worm?! Can... I come outside?” This was asked in speaking tone rather then a shout.
“What!?”
“What's a gum-! You know what.. nevermind.” he mumbled, frowning as he stepped a foot on the sand, wincing, expecting his wrists to send electromagnetic shocks through his arms. But nothing happened.
Discovering this, he ran out of the TARDIS, circling round it before coming towards the other two, grinning.
“What's a gummy worm?”
“Its a jelly worm.”
“Oh! Yeah. Gummy Worm sounds stupid.”
He mumbled, being given a few of the candies. Glancing at River, The Doctor had a smug look, wiggling his eyebrows at her as she rolled her eyes, smiling.
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah.” He shoved one in his mouth. “I think-” another “-they're called jelly worms.” A third one.
“That's what I said! See?”
“Everyone else calls them Gummy worms because they're made with xanthan gum.”
“Like Xanax?”
“What!? No!” She laughed. “Goodness. You had some fun as Prime Minister didn't you?”
“What's Xanax?? Is that a fancy drink?” The Doctor asked, shoving some worms in his mouth as the two looked at each other as if mentally playing rock paper scissors to see which unlucky soul got to teach the Doctor about recreational drugs.
“Seeya-” He said, taking off.
“Ah you gotta be kitten me.” She smirks and the Doctor gives her a look as if to say ‘Really?’ Only to giggle too.
“That's just claw-ful!”
River gave a chuckle before sighing.
“Well.. looks like it's just you and me, sweetheart..”
“Fur-ever?” He held out his pinky, smirking as he raised his eyebrows a few times. River giggled, rolling her eyes only to take the pinky, bringing the intertwined fingers up to her lips.
“Fur-ever. Till the end?”
“Until the end of time and more, my darling.” He would never be able to forget her.. not ever. How could he?
A few times, The Master would run away, doing circles, Zoomies as river called it but never seemed to get too far from the TARDIS, returning when offered more Jelly worms, each time recieving a praise and a snack for coming back to them.
Now he was becoming bored of the laps, even going as far as putting his toes curiously into the ocean, realizing that it was warm. Like a water bottle left out in the sun. This displeased him. He was already hot from his laps around the beach, he didn't want hot water all over his body. Hot was an understatement. If it were hot like the baths he'd not mind but it was the gross kind of warm. The kind that felt yucky on your skin. God he hated water..
It was then he realized that outside of the TARDIS he had free will, coming over to lift the Doctor's chair, dumping him over only to run away, manically laughing, giggling almost.
“What the-!?”
“Catch me if you dare!” He yelled, Dashing off, further and further away. A rush of adrenaline and freedom taking over him. This seemed like the start of a fun game… that was until he had run so far that he was panting and the TARDIS looked like a tiny dot from here.
Where was everyone on this planet anyway? He'd come all this way and not seen a single person. Not a hint of a town, and definitely not a city. Part of him cursed the Doctor for taking him to a deserted solar system with no one to play with- and on top of that, For not chasing after him. He knew how this game worked, didn't he? One ran, the other chased. It's been like this for thousands of years.
So why not now? Was it because of that woman? The daughter of Amelia Pond? This still confused him greatly. He understood the concept of time travel, duh, but what confused him is why her parents would let her marry A dingus like the Doctor. I mean really? Why did she lower her standards?*
Eventually, curiosity killed the cat. He ran as far as he could, trying to find any forms of life, only finding himself alone. Completely and utterly abandoned it seemed. This puzzled him. Why would the Doctor want to come here? There was nothing but a waste land of sand.
Later, When he came back into the TARDIS painting, sweating, and whining from all that walking and running. He shut the door, collapsing on the floor as he laid there, feeling her cool air coming up from the grates and her cold metal against his skin.
Just because Gallifreyans were resistant to heat didn't mean that going out in the blazing sun with a black hoodie was a good idea. Especially not when there wasn't anywhere to go. Not even a tree in sight.
“Well well well. Look what the cat dragged in.” The curly haired woman says, Smiling as she sat next to the Doctor on the torn up sofa that they apparently had moved into the TARDIS control room. (For whatever reason)
They probably had just finished kissing (or got interrupted) seeing as there was lipstick smeared over the Doctors lips and he doubted heavily that the doctor applied it himself… He wasn't THAT much of an idiot… He knew how to appropriately apply lipstick.. even he knew that.
“Why didn't you tell me there wasn't anything out there!?”
“We figured you'd find out for yourself sooner or later” The Doctor says, Scooting over, Trying to wipe the lipstick off of him only to smear it onto his hand and cuff.
“Who's we? Come're baabbyyy” River coed, putting her arms out to him.
Without a second to think about it, he began to scramble over to her only, crawling the few feet only to stop dead in his tracks. What the fuck was he doing? And why?
Sure he's laid between them multiple times to purposely frustrate them, but now it seemed as if they were welcoming him with literal open arms. Why? Cocking a brow, He himself was now frustrated, why were they being so… Kind.. to him? For what? His thinking soon sufficed when called for again.
“Come on. Come to mommy. What did that mean man do to you, hm?” She coed.
“I am not! He's just… bad!”
“Oh he's not bad! He's bored.”
"Yeah! There's a difference!" He awnsered And just like that, in her lap he went, being sure to push the Doctor away from her with his feet, trying to be a menace as much as possible, laying his head in her lap as he stared up at her. Petting his head, she giggled, talking to him further to make him feel pampered and praised. If there was one thing she knew, The Master adored being worshipped and given attention. Ignoring him made things 10 times worse, so she's learned that if she petted him long enough he would go to sleep and she could talk to her dear husband some more before the little gremlin woke up.
“What did he do, hm?? So cruel. Leaving you out there all alone?” River smirked as he already was droopy lidded, nodding softly along with the words.
“I did not. It's his fault for running off.”
“Oooh he's done nothing wrong.”
“... It's really hard to teach him when you keep enabling him, love..”
“That's why it's called Paw-sitive reinforcement, Doctor.” She said this in a sing-songy voice, Letting him get comfy as he turned over, Subconsciously nuzzling up to her hands and stomach.
Truth be told, he could care less what they were talking about right now. He was far too tired to listen to them bicker, using it as white noise, hoping it would drown out the drums that pounded in his head every waking moment of existence.
While they were faint, they were still there. At the back of his mind, like trying to smash through a 2 foot thick wall of ice, bound to break eventually, but right now, they gave him comfort. A constant reminder of who he was and that if anything was real? It was the pounding.
The warmth of her hands also gave him comfort, running her pointed red nails through his bleached blonde and trailing up and down his back through his hoodie.
A few minutes pass and the Doctor is now staring at them with a fond look, a shallow pang of jealousy but he wasn't sure about who. He was jealous of River for being able to get HIS best friend so cuddly and he was jealous of the master for cuddling up to HIS wife. It made him want to take him from her, put him on his lap and let him sleep there instead, but also shove him off the couch and take his place. God this was so difficult. How did humans do this relationship thing? It was so… annoying yet.. wonderful! He wouldn't change it for the world. He was so sleepy and… beautiful.
“You're staring sweetie..”
The voice echoed through his brain once, then twice before he looked up. “Huh?”
“You're staring again… Don't worry. You'll get your turn.”
“When?”
“Oooh so impatient.”
“No I mean- I.. When can I hold him?”
Her eyes widened, not aware that she had been hogging, let alone that he would want a turn at all. “Well… You can have him now if you'd like.”
“I..” Man this was embarrassing. “I think I'd like that.”
Carefully, They moved him from one lap to another, Which at first led to a protest of whining and gentle clawing**, Assuming he was falling off the couch.
“Shh shh shh. No honey. You're okay. You're just fine.” She whispered, pulling his hands away, trying to keep him from sitting up by putting her hand up under the thick sweater, scratching his back ever so gently the way he enjoyed before.
Letting out a sigh of relief, His shoulders dropped, curling up the way he liked in the Doctor's lap instead, a deep rumbling beginning from him. “.. He's so tired..”
“From all that running around, probably.” She whispered, enjoying his purring.
“No.. He's exhausted. His last regeneration went a bit..wonky. I don't even know if….If..” He trailed off, the way he did when he wanted to stop talking about something instead of when he forgot what he was saying.
“What? Cat got your tongue?”
Snickering, He shook his head. “No... I just.. even Time Lords can only take so much and..”
River knew. He watched him die. He burnt his body. He gave him a proper death ***ceremony- well.. about as proper as you could without others knowing.
“So it's a good thing you're taking care of him. Isn't it?”
“That's the thing. It's not that he can't do it himself, it's just that.. He's reckless..”
“Oh and I suppose we aren't?”
“River.. I don't.. I thought I was the last one for so long. I..” He took a breath, swallowing. She could see the pain and fear in his eyes.
“I can't go back to that.. Hell. For the last few months, I've been spraying him with-”
“Doctor..” She muttered a warning, noticing that the purring had stopped, but he continued.
“Catmint tea just so he'd calm down enough to-”
“You've been spraying me WITH TEA!? THIS ENTIRE TIME?!”
The woman smiled innocently, seeing the murderous glares.
“Whoops! Cats out of the bag.”
“River-! Not now!”
*just wait until he finds out she married Jack Harkness while he had the doctor caged up LOL
Being new wasn't an easy deal. It didn't matter whether you were new in school, work, company or anywhere else. In any case there would be side-eyes, whispers and a lot of interest on you.
You weren't exactly used to the attention. You were from small, quiet city where something loud happened obviously, but it was only from time to time. And still your family decided that you should try it out there, in bigger town, with more opportunities. You didn't oppose to that, but it was something completely new. You had to redo your whole lifestyle practically.
You parked your car near the school and sighed. It would be okay. It would be alright. You could do that. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. You should at least try. There was always an option to return back to your family after all. Finally you gathered your thoughts and left the car.
On your way to school you met with couple of strange looks, but tried your hardest to dismiss them. You met with the teacher that was assigned to show you around and it turned out fine, you almost remembered everything. The last stop was your first class. While teacher was introducing you, you looked at your new classmates. Couple of them caught your eye, but you still didn't let your gaze linger on them for long. Even if they were pretty. Even if one especially hot brunette returned your look, and then turned away to whisper something to his more giddy blonde friend.
But the lesson was normal. Everything was pretty much normal. It scared you to some extent. Normal... wasn't your thing. You were paranoid and you started to overthink that these silent looks were holding something behind them.
So you decided to calm yourself down and distance yourself from all the noise. Noone had introduced themselves to you yet, so you could sit alone without awkward interactions. On the lunch break you went out of the building, sitting under the tree. Sandwich in one hand, book in the other one, you finally managed to calm yourself down.
"Hey there!" You jumped in surprise, looking at the girl in front of you. There were two of them actually, but the one who greeted you, stood a little bit closer to you. Blonde one with wide smile and bright clothes. "I'm Tatum. Mind if we sit?"
"Uhm... No, not at all." You smiled sheepishly, coughing from the sandwich that got stuck in your throat. The girl with dark hair passed you the bottle of water.
"Sorry if we scared you. I'm Sidney." She offered you a small smile.
"Y/N. It's fine, I was too invested in the book." You shook your head, forcing yourself to relax a bit. You were ought to have at least couple of conversations, you just had to not look freaky during those.
"What is that?" Tatum asked, biting an apple. You smiled, closing the book.
"Poetry. My elder brother gave it to me before I came here, so I decided I should give it a try." They looked cool and easy-going. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard fitting in here and all you worries were up for nothing.
"That's boring!" You jumped in surprise once again, when tall blonde guy from your first class that day plopped on the grass near Tatum.
"If you can't read, Stu, that doesn't mean that it's not interesting for everybody else." Tatum scoffed and looked at you. "Don't mind Stu, he can be a lot sometimes."
"I have a lot of something, if you know what I mean." He wiggled his eyebrows, looking at you with a smirk.
"I have never heard lamer pickup line... " You mumbled to yourself. But the company heard you pretty well, Sidney giggled, while Tatum loudly laughed.
"You are gonna fit just fine. But don't worry. He barks, but not bites." She winked at you. You smiled a bit in response, distracting yourself with more sandwich.
"I am deeply wounded." Stu playfully put his hand to the forehead, pretending to be hurt. You couldn't lie, he was cute. And funny to some extent. But he was too much, you weren't used to that. Oh well, another new thing for you.
"Can I look? Or is it too personal?" Sidney asked, motioning to your book. You moved it closer to your side, shaking your head. There were so much notes from your brother, most of it were filled with your inside jokes or personal things. You didn't want anyone to even get a glimpse of it.
"Sorry, no." You smiled awkwardly and quickly changed the theme. "I meant to ask, I am still bad with directions here, as I am obviously new. I have biology next, maybe you could help me to get there?"
"I can!" Stu grinned, excitedly raising his arm, as if he was volunteering at something. "We have the same class!"
"Lord, have mercy on your soul." Sidney joked, making you smile a bit.
You sat there a little longer, the girls making sure to know you a bit more and vice versa, as you gave each other bits of your personal life. You didn't want to spill it all, you were closed person, and your family wasn't a simple one, but still you told them that you liked poetry, movies and rock music. Stu occasionally insert his opinion, making the atmosphere lighter and even leading the talk into completely other direction.
"Finally, we are alone." Macher smirked, when you both parted your ways with the girls. You smiled awkwardly.
"You are way too flirty for someone with a girlfriend." In the past fifteen minutes you learned that this was just how Stu was, now you getting used to it was just the matter of time. The boy scoffed.
"There is no fun in being sad and serious all the time, you know?" He was light, almost jumping with every step. You smiled at this, trying to remember the way to the class at the same time. None of the people you knew before had the same lightness to them. "So how is our citadel of boring knowledge? Different from your past one?"
"I... I was home-schooled, so... I honestly can't make comparison." You admitted shyly. Stu suddenly gasped and stopped right in front of you, looking at you with wide eyes. You stopped with him.
"No way! You have never been to school before?!" You shrugged, not understanding his excitement.
"Yeah... We... I am from small town, our school wasn't big enough, so I was at home." Macher laughed excitedly, grabbing your shoulders.
"You are so lucky!!! Tell me more about it. Who was your teacher? Your mom?" You shivered, anxiety slowly crawling back into your soul, as the loud boy definitely drew attention to you and standing in the middle of corridor wasn't the best place for flashbacks. But before you could say anything else, someone suddenly smacked Stu on the back of his head.
"You are annoyingly loud, dude." You looked to the side and saw a brunette, that caught your eye from earlier. He looked you up and down. "I hope he didn't scare you."
"No... Just... Too much. First day and everything." You breathed out with a nervous smile. The boy nodded.
"I know the feeling. Billy. Billy Loomis. And you are Y/N. I remember the introduction." Strange, but you felt more at ease with his presence. Stu got quieter, rubbing his head and letting you go, looking between you and Billy, but he didn't try to be loud anymore. That sudden change of character was a bit weird, but... You set the thought aside.
"Good to meet you. Uhm... I think the class is starting soon."
"Yeah, let's go, we don't want to be late because of someone's never shutting mouth." Billy glared at Stu. They exchanged looks and suddenly Macher went back to being his loud, overreacting himself, bickering with his more calm and silent friend back and forth, as you were following them to the class. Something here was fishy. They were strange, even if you couldn't explain what it was exactly. But that was definitely better than quiet normallness of this place.
***
"What the hell did you do with it?" You straightened up, looking at Stu. He was too busy whispering something to Tatum. Probably something lewd, knowing him. "Hey, earth to Stu!" The boy raised his eyes to look at you.
"Huh? Yes, my lovely mechanic?" He smiled widely at you, probably being concentrated on Tatum in his arms still.
"What the hell did you do to your car that it's so broken, but still running?" You looked at him exhasperatedly. You were regretting the decision to tell the guys that you know your ways around cars. The minute Macher heard about that, he asked you to take a look at his car. And it was awful.
"Magic fingers." He smirked, wiggling his fingers. You rolled your eyes, turning back to the car. What did you expect from him? Serious answer? It had been couple of weeks of you in this town, you should have get used to his persona.
"You are really good with it." Sidney noticed, sitting in the chair, warming under the sun. The garage door was open to let the warm air in, and music was playing, but she spoke loud and clear for you to hear her. "I mean, car stuff." You scoffed.
"My brother is... Kinda a mechanic. He usually took me with him to the repair shop, when I was younger. And I picked a thing or two... How in the living hell this is connected?!" You groaned, disconnecting the wrong tube. If your brother was here, he would be so angry at Stu for doing this to his car. Thankfully, you weren't your brother. Only tiny bit like him.
You were too concentrated on your work, figuring out what was wrong here and what to do to fix it. Even if Stu could drive just fine, it would still be easier if the car would be repaired. You could almost hear his whistles and screams, when the drive would be fast and smooth. And honestly, you couldn't wait to see him excited like that.
"Y/N, maybe you should..."
"Fuck off while I'm busy!" You cursed at the sudden interruption and pushed someone who came closer to you before you could realise what you were doing. And when you did understood what just happened, you raised the eyes to see Billy. With an empty glass. And wet t-shirt. "Oh my god, I am so sorry. I got so into work I forgot everything. That was so rude of me."
"It's... Fine." He muttered, looking at your face. Something in his eyes made you shiver. Something that was too familiar, but still unpredictable. Something that almost made you check the garage for ways around. "Just thought you got overheated and needed a break."
"Yeah... You are probably right." His face softened, but the glint of something you saw in his eyes stayed somewhere in his face. You just knew it. You could almost feel it. "I will fix your t-shirt, so sorry again."
"Wow, someone wants to see Billy without his shirt." Stu whistled, breaking your strange eye contact. You looked at him, noticing his too satisfied smirk. Like he was enjoying the situation. These two from the start were the only ones who didn't look normal to you. To others - maybe. But you knew all to well to look behind the scene.
"If I wanted to look at the man, who's taken, I would search movies with Tom Cruise." You blurted out without thinking. In a second the garage was filled with laughter and Tatum's discussion on the theme of hot actors, and the feeling of something weird in the air disappeared. But when you went back to the car, you could feel eyes on the back of your head and on your hands.
"Who's Casey?" You asked Tatum, as you were walking to the school. The whole town it seemed, was full of talks and whispers. And the more information there was, the harder it was for you to understand what was really going on.
"The girl Sidney was sitting in English with. And her boyfriend was the captain of football team." She answered, watching Prescott joining you both. "They say that they both were gutted, like from side to side."
"They say a lot of things, but what is the truth?" You sighed, walking with them, mind filled with thoughts. You didn't know that your move here would result in you finding yourself in this events.
"Who knows? Police won't tell us the truth. But if you are curious, I can bribe Dewey."
"Don't... All of it is clearly enough to get the basic idea." You shook your head, somehow feeling sick to your stomach. Your mind was convinced that you were smelling sweet, rotten scent in the air. Hotness rolled of your skin, like you were in a stuff place or near candles. Your mind wondered somewhere else. Suddenly there was rough voice in your head telling you to follow the rules, so you wouldn't get hurt, to stay back and don't interfere.
"...just imagine." You shivered, realising you were in the classroom already. You were too gone in your own head to remember how you got to your desk. Stu was turned to you, grinning like crazy. Like always. He probably was mumbling about something for quite some time.
"Sorry... What?" You asked him, looking at him puzzled, trying to gather your thoughts.
"I said, imagine yourself on her place. It must be awful." He giggled. Horror fanatic. You shook your head absent-mindedly. You knew the rules of surviving. You knew how to not attract the attention and live through this. You shouldn't be worried about it, but you couldn't help it.
"I have a knife from my brother." You answered quietly, looking away from him. Stu whistled, licking his lips, his eyes are burning with genuine interest.
"Don't tell cops that." Billy scoffed, sitting at desk in front of you with a huff. "They asked me if I was a hunter." He added.
"Come on, Billy, it couldn't be our Y/N. Look at them. They can't hurt a fly." Stu put a hand on your shoulder, shaking you a bit.
"Yes. I have never killed a person. I can't kill." You scoffed nervously, too deep in your thoughts again, not noticing the glare from both of the boys.
***
"Why the fuck this dick wasn't at his home." Breathed out Stu. Billy shushed him, adjusting the gloves.
"It doesn't matter. Jason will get what's coming to him. But his girlfriend should go down tonight." He whispered, checking the voice changer and going over every detail of their plan for today one more time. They were near the house of one of the most rudest bitches Billy had ever met. And he wanted to teach all the town a lesson. Even if it would be through hands of Stu. Loomis would gladly just watch the scene go down. He called the number, they both were ready to start.
"Yeah?" Loomis froze for a second. That was definitely not Britney's voice in the phone. But he was sure that she would be alone, he and Stu learned all about her day beforehand.
"Can I hear Brit?" He still asked with changer near his mouth. If there was only two of them, there shouldn't have been any problems.
"Oh, no, she's busy. Bye." He could swear he heard a giggle, before the phone died. And not like someone just hung up on him, but like something happened to the phone itself.
"Dude? What is it?" Stu looked at him nervously. He couldn't just sit there and wait. He was ready to pounce at any moment, but Loomis was concerned and shook his head.
"There's something wrong. Come on, let's get a closer look inside..."
There were three victims already. Two of them died on the same night. There were too much talks. Too much noise. And it was never-ending. After failed attack on Sidney and Billy's arrest and quick freeing of him you only grew more nervous. With the situation, with yourself... Besides, family on the other side of the rare phonecalls you had with them, weren't pleased to learn that you or even them could be in danger. You had to talk with them for a long time to convince them to let you stay there, as you didn't want to go back to old and small town. Yet. But also you had to find the way to get all of your emotions out and not just in chit-chat with Tatum. You had to find the exit to your anger, home-sickness and anxiety. It was just...
"...too much, you know?" You said quietly, rocking in the kitchen chair. "I am used to one lifestyle. And then I moved. And got used to quietness here. And then this. I'm just going crazy, do you understand?"
"I can't..." The girl before you whimpered. You sighed, that was called an ungrateful listener. Billy would have listened and even answer something or give an advice. But he was too pretty and had a lot on his plate to talk with him like that.
"Look, all I am saying that even if I missed this... Adrenaline rush, screams and blood and tension, I never expected someone to be so absorbed with one theme for days. It is tiring to hear about murders and never getting a rest from it, you know?"
"You did all of that!" She suddenly screamed. You rolled your eyes tiredly. Even Stu listened better, and he had an attention span of a toothpick.
"Damn, I get that you are blonde, but I don't think that you are that dumb. And last time I checked you weren't deaf." You stood up, noticing how she immediately tensed up. It was surprisingly nice - feeling such kind of power over people. You made two slow steps to her. "Casey, her boyfriend and that boy from two days ago - aren't my victims. I don't kill people. I don't kill them at all, that is the rule."
"You killed Jason!" You laughed at her face in response and looked at the lifeless body between you two, bending to it.
"No. You did." You answered with a laugh, shaking your head. "I just hurt him, wounded him with a knife. He could have made it with quick medical assistance, if you didn't pull the knife out so roughly."
"You sick fucker..." She whimpered, sobbing. Tainted with blood on her hands, face and blonde hair, she almost looked pretty. You guessed you could see now where your brother was taking inspiration from.
"Aren't we all?" You licked your lips, enjoying the emotional relief maybe a little bit too much.
"I will tell everyone."
"No, you won't." You scoffed, stepping away from the girl, as you straightened your posture. "Firstly, you won't live long enough to tell the story, you will kill yourself. Secondly, everyone will think that this was Ghostface doing, not mine. No one will think about two killers at the same time at the same space, there isn't even such cliche in horror movies. Thirdly..."
She suddenly launched herself forward. Grabbing the bloody knife from the counter, she raised her hand for a strike, but... You stepped back, hiding behind the table. In attempt to chase you, Britney ran after you, but... She stumbled in the slippery pool of blood. Trying to soften the fall, the girl instinctively put her hands before her, forgetting about the knife. She fell on the floor with a loud thud. With her face on the blade.
"Great. Why the hell they never listen?" You laughed out tiredly. You weren't lying to her one bit. You didn't kill a soul. Always playing the luring role, always on the background, while others were doing their work. But you knew how victims were. How they behaved and what they did in situations like that. It didn't change one bit. Never did.
You sighed, looking at the now lifeless body, going around the table. You had to turn the girl on the back to take out the knife from her head. After all it was handmade by your brother. More so, if you were using the cover of Ghostface... He had never left the weapon behind.
Now it was your time to go. There was always a timer in your head, when you should show up, what should you say and when you should hide.
You stopped at the door though. You could swear you were being watched. But it felt almost like you were back at home. You weren't in danger. Just someone was overwatching you. Still, you were tense by this, making you remember all of the other rules. So many mixed signals...
You shook your head, going out and closing the door behind yourself, only then taking off your gloves. All that mattered was that now you knew how to let all of your emotions out. You snickered to yourself, walking away from the property. You really took after your family.
"Oh my god... Did you see that?" Stu laughed, hysterically and excitedly at the same time, closing his mouth with his hand.
"Yes, and I heard most of that, you ask me this for the fifth time." Answered Billy, watching from the open window of the kitchen, how you walked out of the house and went away, like nothing happened. They hid near it almost for entire ordeal, not entirely believing what was unraveling before them.
"We definitely have to pay them a visit, dude. For shits and giggles, for scares, I don't know. I just want them." Stu rarely got this excited, even if he was giddy all the time. But this whole scene made him all more interested in you. It made him look at you from the other perspective and rethink all of the strange moments with you. You were pretty, funny, with silver tongue and witty comebacks. He knew there was something more, and he was right. And Billy felt it too. And they both wanted the same thing now. Loomis smirked, and his wicked grin resembled one on Stu's face.
"Of course we visit them... I want to see what else our dearest Y/N Sinclair is capable of..."
stuck with you | peter parker
summary: you love him, but you hate him. maybe you'll be able to love him a little bit more if it's really just the two of you.
"we're lost." you declared.
"no, we aren't."
"yes, we are!"
"fine, then, mr. navigator, where are we?"
"um... er, we are— we are right here."
you rolled your eyes, along with a string of curses.
peter sighed, "this is my life now. i have climbed this hill, and will die upon it."
"shut it. we've only been walking for 20 minutes. in the direction you said to go," you threw you hands up in frustration. yes, walking for 20 minutes, but stranded for maybe around 3 hours, you'd guess.
the plan, at first, was to wait for your father, tony, and the rest of the team to find you, but it'd had become quite evident after a while that they weren't coming for you.
"just because i have spider-sense, doesn't mean i have common sense!"
"well, i know that now!" after a moment, you pinched the bridge of your nose. "look, us stupidly arguing isn't gonna get us anywhere, okay?"
peter sighed, half-heartedly shrugging. you went back to fiddling with your ear comm, hoping to get it back online. for a moment, you heard static, and you squealed.
"what? what?"
and then it went back to silence. "goddamnit." you were very, very close to chucking it off a cliff. "aren't you, like, a tech genius or something? can't you do something with this?"
"i already tried. all i got was radio silence. we're completely off the grid, dumb-ass."
"you don't think i know that? god, why did i get stuck with the spider-kid?" you mumbled the second part under your breath.
"hey!"
oops. forgot about the spider-hearing.
"okay, well— at least— at least my powers don't consist of freaking levitation!"
"it's not levitation!"
"my bad, telekinesis."
"psychokinesis!"
"same thing. who cares?"
you scowled and used your mental concentration to lift him a good 20 feet into the air.
"don't—" he yelped, "put me down!"
"don't put you down?"
"no! put. me. down!"
"can't hear you up there."
"you actual piece of— drop me! wait, no, not—"
you weren't doing anything bad. just what he told you to do. peter landed on the ground with a loud thud. that had to hurt, you thought.
"because all i can do is levitate things," you mocked, "how dumb. at least i don't shoot webs out of my ass-crack."
"i don't—"
but by then, you'd already tuned him out. one of your headaches was coming on, because you normally didn't lift heavy things in the air, or really, not most things. you were still figuring out how to use them.
it wasn't something you regretted though, it was very worth it.
"—and you know, i'm sure that—"
how was he still going?
"—because you haven't even started—"
i might chuck him off a cliff instead.
"—crazy, since—"
you gritted your teeth, massaging your temple, "please stop talking."
"hah! i'm sure you'd love— y/n? are you good?"
"yes," you waved his concern off (along with the butterflies in your stomach), "i'm fine."
"regret that yet?"
"no," you grinned. "never."
peter flopped down, sitting up against a tree. "i'm sure."
you joined him, taking a seat beside peter. in complete exhaustion, you dropped your head on his shoulder, quietly inhaling the smell of him. pinewood, aftershave, and a tinge of sweat.
he flinched slightly at the action, but looped an arm around you.
moments like this made being near peter actually nice. for once, you enjoyed his company. but the feeling didn't last long, because the reality of being stranded in a giant forrest/jungle/whatever other word for this place hit hard after a second.
"jeez, are we ever gonna get home?"
"yes. maybe. i mean, probably." he stammered.
"this is definitely worst case scenario. stuck on an alien planet, lost in— in whatever this was. were these even trees? were trees purple with yellow studs sticking out of them?
you didn't know. you just wanted to go home. granted, peter's presence was making this slightly better, but still.
"it's okay," you heard him say. "you can sleep. i got you, y/n." peter kissed the top of your head, and you subconciously smiled.
"you know," you murmured, "i'm glad that if i'm stuck with anyone here, i'm stuck with you."
and then you were falling, falling, into a deep, dreamless sleep, with pitch black envloping you entirely.
Regale You With A Gourd-geous Tale
Tumblr media
Alec Hardy x GN!Reader
Summary: You and Alec partake in the annual Broadchurch Pumpkin Carving Contest, but things go rather sideways.
Soundtrack: Pumpkin Cowboy by Brian David Gilbert
Requests: Open!
Warnings: Alec is not a basic white girl.
You had thought that convincing the Broadchurch DI to enter the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest would be fun, help him integrate into the community better, and meet people in a context that did not involve crime.
You had been wrong.
Sure, the actual contest had gone swimmingly up to a point. You didn't win, but it was fun. Until it wasn't.
First, one of the local pub owners had gotten too drunk and caused a scene. Then, one of the village kids had gone missing (he was found an hour later eating a candy apple as if nothing had happened). Then, someone had injured themselves with the carving tools (how? you were unsure).
Overall, it was just hard to really focus on the activity at hand.
Also, your pumpkins sucked.
You blamed the multiple distractions.
You did get a consolation prize of a free drink ticket, which you used for a pint of Guinness, so at least there was that.
"I'm sorry," Alec said as you walked home. "I know you really wanted me to be normal today."
You sighed. "It's not your fault." He had his arm around your shoulder, making it easy to lightly bump against him as you walked. "I know it's hard for you to shut work off... especially when it just keeps coming at you like that."
"It really did," he groused, rubbing at his eyes with his free hand. "Just one thing after another, all day."
The two of you walked in silence for a stretch after that, until Alec brought you to a halt outside a coffee shop. "Would you like something?" he asked, tossing his head towards the cafe. "Something to make up for today."
"You don't have to do that," you said, smiling. "But, sure. Large pumpkin spice latte, please."
"Y'ken," he said as he parted from you, "I've never had a pumpkin spice latte."
He did not give you the opportunity to respond. He was gone in an instant, stepping inside to order your drinks. You waited outside for him to come back, your stunned expression never leaving you.
He eventually returned, handing you your drink. It took him a minute to notice your shocked look.
"What is it?" he asked, and you could tell he was totally oblivious.
"You've never had a pumpkin spice latte?" you finally asked.
"... No," he answered unsurely, blinking. "Should I've?"
"Well... I mean... probably? Maybe? It's just that, like, everyone's had at least one by now."
"Except me."
"See, that's where you're wrong, because I have a pumpkin spice latte right here, and you're going to try it." You plucked his coffee out of his hand, replacing it with your latte.
He stared dumbfounded at it for a moment.
"You're supposed to drink it," you said in amusement, watching him. "It won't bite, Alec."
Hesitantly, he took a sip. The expression he made afterward was not entirely pleased, but it wasn't completely disgusted. In terms of Alec's reactions, that wasn't a terrible sign.
He handed the latte back to you and took his own coffee back in one swift move, then took a palette-cleansing sip of his drink. "I never want to taste that again," he said, motioning to your latte.
"Oh, come on, it's not that bad!"
"Is this because we lost the pumpkin carving contest? Are you punishing me?" he asked jokingly, turning to look at you. "I did say I was sorry."
"It's not that!" you whined, shoving at his shoulder playfully. You were met with a chuckle. "Do you really not like it?"
"It's... fine," he answered honestly. "I'm not gonna go orderin' it but it's not the worst thing I've ever had, either."
Well, for Alec, that was a win.
"I'll get you," you said jovially with a smirk. "One of these days, you'll like pumpkin spice."
What he couldn't bear to tell you, was that he'd hated it. Could not stand the taste of it. And the idea of having to ever have that terrible flavor anywhere near his mouth ever again terrified him.
But, the idea of "converting" him made you happy, so he played along, hoping for his own sake that he did end up liking the stuff through sheer force of will.
And, he still felt bad about the pumpkin carving contest. While you were still asleep in the early hours of the morning, he snuck out of bed and ran to the shops, picking up two pumpkins and a carving kit for the two of you to enjoy alone at home.
When you woke up and saw his gift, not only were you pleased as punch, but you insisted on carving them right away.
The previous day had had some bad spots, but that day was perfect.
Gifted Drabble - NewAgeAU - Consequences
Hey @spotaus I got the thing!! :D
This is for after the main story of NewAge I believe. like two ish year. And there is some backstory to it.
For those who don't follow Spotaus and my back and forth messages.
In short: It is about dustedafterdeath (Dust X Geno X Reaper) but the start to their relationship isn't the best or healthiest. Geno wasn't as much interested in Dust for him but just wanted to know how Dust's magic works. meaning Geno had been faking interest and attraction just to grow closer to learn more. Dust saw through it and as you can assume it blew up in all their faces and there was aftermath (Reaper is an innocent in this all. He was trying to sweetly and nicely court Dust only to suddenly not be allowed near anymore. He was confused until he learned what happened.)
with the background out of the way. this is about Geno dealing with realising the damage he did and having to admit some things to himself.
Warning: Mentions of; past manupilation, unhealthy relationships, power disbalance, pushing and forcing past boundaries, and just emotional manupilation.
Oh also no beta or edits :D
*----------------------------------*
Geno lays on the bed in the guest room. Alone with his thoughts.
It still hurts that he isn't allowed in the meeting room anymore. Worse is the fact that neither Error or Reaper defended him to say it was fine.
Geno sighs and rolls to his side. It is fine. He messed stuff up and reaper is desperately trying to do damage control.
Damage he caused.
Geno sighs as he sits up and starts to pace the space in the room.
It isn't as if it is uncomfortable. the space is large and gorgeous as always and there are comfortable couches and chairs and there is a delicious meal. He can call a maid or servant to ask for more and the view is beautiful.
He just isn't allowed to leave the room unsupervised anymore.
Which sucks as he used to just be allowed to go anywhere he wanted. But his rights for that had been revoked.
Geno sighs as he sits on the chair near the window. looking outside. He searches the area but can't spot anyone interesting-
Geno groans as he hits his skull against the window "stop thinking like that." because that is the fucking core of the problem. Geno's inability to just see everyone as interesting people. He keeps mentally either calling people interesting or just unimportant and like they don't matter.
Something has to be broken in him. and Geno has no idea how to fix it. He didn't at first even believe it needed fixing.
One of his old spells and marks activates and Geno shoots upright with a grin. Dust is back at the castle. He has to concentrate and reach. Come on...
The stables? Why would he even go there? Aren't there stable hands around this place to do horses stuff and-
wait... didn't he like horses?
Geno frowns as he triest o remember. He wants to kick himself and hit his skull against the wall. This is so stupid! He knows he asked these things before. Why didn't he just listen? Why didn't he pay attention to things he liked and stuff he did?! Geno spoke with him about it. He knows he asked him because Geno had been trying to get Dust to trust him to ask the burning magical questions that Dust didn't seem to want to talk about!
Geno frowns and grins. Right! Killer told him before! Dust adores horses and works with the horses. Trains them and everything!
Geno feels bad about not knowing these things through Dust... maybe once he fixed his mistake he can try again? ask things and try to listen? Instead of first just zoning out and not paying attention at all to later only listening to the sound of his voice.
Dust doens't speak a lot... it felt nice to just listen to the sound later on.
Geno grins as he goes towards the door. It will be easy! He will just happen to be near the stables. He will just act as if he doesn't notice Dust and ask one of the stable hands if he can try riding a horse.
He will fall off, which Geno knows for sure will happen because he can't ride a horse. Then that will break the ice and tension as Dust will no doubt see and then Geno will look more like just another guy! Geno will laugh off his blunder and ask Dust for any horse riding tips.
Easy! Geno will only talk about the horses. a safe topic as Dust likes that! And maybe that will make them be on friendlier terms and make them able to move past this whole thing and problem Geno created.
Geno throws the door open only to see one of the knights across the hall. A lion mask.
Horror it seems.
Horror just looks at him. Right in the eye. Red eye light glowing with discontent "Is something wrong?"
Geno stands frozen. Right. No free movement anymore. It is okay! He just needs to get a tiny moment to make a break to the right spot! think!
"I euh... wanted to... go for a walk." there! easy! He will go for a walk. and just happen across the stables and get the idea for a horse ride and he is golden.
Hroror nods "Inner courtyard is nice. We will go there." he he waits as he pointedly looks in one direction.
Geno grins easily "It is fine. I know the way."
Horror just continues to stare him down as he waits.
Geno pouts but starts walking. may as well go through with it and go for his stupid walk.
Horror follows him as a silent giant.
Geno is once again reminded of the fact that it used to feel so much more comfortable before. Even when Reaper and him visited for the first time. It had felt more welcoming. Sure they were watched but it was being watched over.
Now ever single movement that he does it watched and monitorred. Even those cats seem to stalk him even more before rushing off as soon as he takes another step closer. That was another thing he had been curious about but now he is terrified of even asking what the deal with the cats is.
He moves through the castle and it feels cold. but they get to the gardena dn geno actually relaxes a bit. it is good to be outside. He grins at Horror "The garden is beautiful."
Horror just continues to stare at him. like a stone wall. Right... minimal contact wiht the knights now.
This is so annoying. Geno almost wishes Killer was here. Killer used to be his go to when ti came to Dust as Killer was always happy to talk about Dust and hype him up. Obviously Killer had been trying to help Dust or them by setting them up.
At least Killer had been useful and made it able for geno to actually get anything. Instead he got stuck with Horror who didn't say a word beyond what was needed and so useless to him-
Fucking hell he is doing it again!
Geno finsihes his walk through the garden and mutters about being done. Horror doesn't say a word, he doesn't even emote anything towards him. But he walks him back to his room. Geno goes inside and the door closes behind him.
He groans as he just walks over to the bed and lets himself fall in it face first.
Maybe it is better that he didn't get to him... Geno had after all once again been planning on manupilate the situation in his favour. to once again use things the other liked to get what Geno wanted.
Why can't he just look at relationships like a normal monster?! Why can't...
He knew it wasn't fine fine. Once he realised how he felt and what he was doing. But he figured it wasn't that bad. After all. Dust liked him... he now also liked Dust. and Reaper always adored him.
All Geno had to do was slowly nudge the relationship into more... actual relationships things. instead of just Geno teasing and pushing the right buttons to get his answers.
Geno figured he could have just shifted the focus! Instead of just the magic it was about being near Dust. He just... stuck to the topic magic because that is something Geno knew. it was a safe area. Geno knows his magic and Dust knows things too. it was something they could ahve bonded over!
aparently not because Geno messed up. Or maybe Dust had always known what Geno had been doing... and let it go on because of who Geno was.
Because as Reaper had pointed out. Geno didn't offer him an out. Geno had just assumed Dust would tell him to stop. When Geno was a royal mage.
Not even just that. the royal mage and mate of the very king of a country that Dust's own king had a treaty with. A very strong treaty and multiple trade routes that were helping this very country.
Why the fuck did Geno think Dust would just say no or tell him to fuck off if Geno pushed too far.
Even when he pushed too far all dust did was distance himself. He didn't evne tell anyone.
If Geno hadn't told Error about it no one would have known... That Geno pretty much kept harrassing Dust to get answers to pushier and pushier questions.
Would he even have said no? If Geno tried to progress the relationship that had been growing? If Geno had kept searching him out and tried to actually do the relationship parts....
Geno doesn't like thinking about it.
Geno groans as he covers his face "This sucks..."
This is what he deserves isn't it? For treating others this way. for not being honest.
Reaper told him as much. That if they get the chance to even speak to Dsut again that Geno needs to be honest. He had stressed it and that Geno had to think about it if he can do that. Dust deserves gEno being honest about what he had been doing.
But Geno can't do that! He doesn't just. Do honest and vulnerable.
The only people he could do that with were his brothers and Reaper.
Adn the only reason he managed that with Reaper is because Error had gone missing and he just hadn't been able to keep up the mask!
Reaper is different. reaper didn't use his moment of weakness and vulnerability to hurt him. To get what he wanted from him.
The very things Geno does to others...
He had wanted to look... cool and controlled. capable. And he always did this to show up like that. He did it with Reaper and Reaper had been fine with it.
Whcih Geno had pointed out to Reaper. And Reaper had just looked so sad as he held his hand. he had explained that they had a more equal relationship. Reaper is a king. He is the ruler. If Geno messed up he would have been pushed back and no one would look at Reaper with any less respect because people would sooner see it was Geno trying to just having a crush and Reaper respectfully putting a stop to it.
They don't have this grace area with Dust. Dust may have been intrested before. And fuck it had hurt to hear that in the past tense. But Dust never made a move. he never was anything but respectful and silent. He had been trying to keep it professional. They both moved to start something with him.
And Dust saying no could have had consequences. Geno felt even worse because Reaper would never. Reaper would never use his power or title like that. But too much had been counting on keeping them happy and Dust just... didn't stop any of it.
Geno groans as he covers his face. It doens't matter now. It doens't matter he had been planning on easing Dust into seeing Geno being more open or vulnerable. Only after they spend time together. After they started something. Geno had wanted him to see him in a certain way...
Well it doenst matter now. Dust figured out who Geno actually was.
And Dust hated him.
Geno groans as he looks at his bag.
He really shouldn't... But it isn't breaking any rules...
He goes towards his bag and searches it. Geno smiles as he finds a small crystal ball.
He pulls it out and rolls up in the bed. Blanket encasing him and the little tool.
He needs to concentrate his magic and really focus. It isn't a hard spell but it just isn't his best.
Dust's magic had been so wild... Wilder than Error's ever was. Dust's magic reacted completely to his wishes and emotions and he hadn't been able to do actual spell work. It had fascinated him so much...
Geno had just... wanted to know how it worked. What could have happened to cause his magic to work on such a fundamental different way. Was it just no schooling? but then how is his magic as strong as it was? Four magical dampers to stop it? That is insane!
The crystal ball finally glows and Geno grins as he concentrates. He doens't want the past or future. just the present. Please.. please show him.
The crystal ball needs a moment but the spell and tool work together well and he can suddenly see the stables and ranch. He sees about twenty horses easily. All relaxing and walking around. Dust is with only one horse. apart form the others in another pen.
The horse his huffing and keeps standing on its backlegs. Dust is calm as he just. makes weird movements and keeps stepping closer before backing off again. The whole time. It is mesmorising to watch. Geno has no idea what the other is doing but doesn't feel it is a good idea to let Dust be alone with an aggressive horse.
What about his shoulder? Geno knows he never truly recovered from that injury...
Just another point where Geno knows one of his weaknesses that he could have easily exploided if Dust denied him. Hell he even used it as he stayed on that side to lean into his space and area.
Dust seems to be confident however. Moving slowly before making another unusual movement.
Eventually the horse seems to just be watching him. less likely to get aggressive. The horse actually goes clsoer to dust and Dust starts to lead the horse.
Geno notices that the horse doesn't have any of the normal rider things. No saddle or reins or anything. Just dust and the horse.
Dust starts to lead the horse through the pen. slow movement and walking first before dust starts to speed up. The horse follows the set tempo and seems to pick up speed. The horse is now galloping around the pen with Dust sprinting to keep up before Dust just sets off and jumps on the back of the horse. The horse stands on his back legs but Dust manages to stay on and calm it again.
then Dust just nudges the horse with just his body to get it moving again.
How the hell did he do that? How... how?
Geno knows dust works with horses through killer. and geno assumed he liked horses...but this? this is insane!
Geno keeps watching him just do his thing.
He isn't sure how to fix this... How to make things right...
Geno just hopes that Reaper can fix this. That he can at least make things right with Dust...
Geno just doesn't want Dust to hate him anymore.
OOUWT x TNMN - P3, "Camp Cramp"
"Grq'w jr jhqwoh lqwr wkdw jrrgqljkw."
"Udjh rq djdlqvw wkh gblqj oljkw."
There was silence following the woman's announcement before Glenn stood up. "Camp? Oh God no." "T-There must be some mistake," Arlene stuttered, removing herself from the pile. "We weren't…this wasn't where we were supposed to get off at."
The woman's grin widened. "Of course it was! That's the only place this bus goes to!"
"Excuse me?" Stephanie asked standing up and dusting herself off. Everyone else began to stand up and stare at the woman skeptically. "I-I'll just..get back on the bu- Martin turned around to watch the bus zoom off, stopping him in his tracks. "Oh….Well, nevermind.."
"Alright then, any questions?"
"Uh, yes, when must we be able to depart? I do not enjoy being outside in the disgusting wooded areas." Sylvestre muttered. "At the end of the summer." The woman answered bluntly. Sylvestre spluttered. "The end of the SUMMER??" She grinned. "Yep! Any other questions?"
Everyone fell silent again, not really sure if they wanted to hear the answers. "Alright then! My name's Chelsea Triton and I'll be your camp counselor! Shall I show you all inside?"
"At this point, I don't think we have anywhere else to be." Albertine said under her breath as she crossed her arms. "Speak for yourself." Sylvestre retorted.
"I was speaking for myself."
Chelsea led the confused campers inside of the camp grounds, pointing and ranting about various things. Stephanie did find herself enjoying the view just a bit, it was serene after all, but considering she wasn't here upon her own will, she couldn't be too relaxed about it.
"Alright, you all will split up into groups of 2 or 3 and choose a cabin to sleep in." Chelsea announced, getting everyone's attention. Stephanie, however, was distracted by how she was going to explain this to her parents when she returned. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt someone throw their arms around her.
"How's about you me an' Abby take that cabin over there?" Fiona asked, pointing towards a decent sized cabin in front of them. Stephanie glanced at the cabin for a second before nodding. "Sure. I'm tired of holding these damn bags anyway."
The trio made their way to the cabin and opened its doors. Stephanie was secretly relieved that this place looked somewhat decent and was all cleaned up, at least she wouldn't have to be swatting away bugs and rodents in her sleep. She watched as Abby took the bed nearest to the back of the cabin and Fiona took the one nearest to the door. Stephanie bunked the one in the middle, throwing herself down in a starfish position.
"Someone's tired." Fiona teased, scooting closer to her. Stephanie pushed her face away, chuckling a bit. "As if. I don't trust myself to sleep even an hour in this place."
"I agree. Homegirl seemed wayyy too happy to see us here. She seems to have known we were coming ahead of time." Abby stated, digging into her bag.
Fiona nodded. "She didn't even seem to question anything and seemed totally fine with bringing a bunch of adults to a remote area. Something is going on here, something I'm not sticking around to find out."
Martin seemed to be less than lucky today as his head was still reeling with pain. Donovan and Winnie seemed to notice him taking a seat near the wooden tables. Before they were able to help him though, Chelsea came over with a bottle of water and handed it to him.
"I guess she isn't all, that bad." Donovan whispered, eyeing her closely. "Still wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole, though."Winnie nodded in agreement, staring down the woman.
Chris assisted Helga towards the cabin they would be spending the night in. Helga after being pushed off of the bus by an unseen force was not having a good time, as she was shaking like a leaf. Chris helped her lay down. "I'm sure we'll be fine for now. As long as nothing else like that happens."
Helga smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Thanks, Chris." After a few more moments, she finally fell asleep. Chris rubbed her hands together. "Perfect." She snuck out of the cabin, being sure to not disturb Helga's slumber before quickly closing the door.
"What do ya mean? Are ya gonna try an' escape tonight or somethin'?" Stephanie asked, looking at Fiona incredulously. "Yep. I'm not staying here for any longer than a few hours. Once everyone's sleeping, I'm walking home, and I don't care how long it takes. You coming with?"
Stephanie nodded. "Yeah..I think I will…"
Meanwhile, near the pond area, Sylvestre and Elois were walking and chatting about how absolutely disgusting this place was. This was unfortunately right when Michael jumped into the pond, splashing them both along with Donovan as well. Sylvestre gasped. "My beautiful clothes! Do you even know how much this costs, you average American looking cretin?!"
Michael didn't respond, which only infuriated him more. Sylvestre probably would've given the man a piece of his mind, but Elois spoke up. "Don't bother, Syl." Donovan nodded. "Yeah, let's go see if we can ask Chelsea for some new clothes." Sylvestre sighed, realizing he'd rather be in warm and dry attire anyway. "Sure, let's go."
Chelsea lifted up an unconscious Martin while everyone was occupied and took him to her cabin. This didn't go unnoticed by Agnes, who watched him fall ill after being given the water bottle. "Hm." She hummed, feeling a familiar feeling creep up her body.
She had the feeling this would be the last any of them saw of him alive. As much as she wanted to spark some drama and tension by exposing her, she felt it wasn't the time and decided to keep her mouth shut. For now.
