WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)?

I don’t really have one, ngl! Warhammer isn’t really a community where OTPs happen and since’s the source material is a crapsack world with crapsack people, it’s very hard to like. Ship anything (not that people don’t!). Skarbrand isn’t a super shippy muse and there’s very few characters in the canon he has any kind of normal chemistry with let alone romantic/sexual lmao

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

Skarbrand is an eons old daemon of rage; if he’s shipping with another daemon, this isn’t really a problem (daemons manifest fully mature and don’t really ‘grow up’ so much as than they become more autonomous from the god animating them personality wise. Unless you’re like a nurgling or something then yeah, das a baby daemon).

I HC Skarbrand to be rather mature, in his 40-50s, so I probably wouldn’t ship him with someone in like their teens/twenties. He himself would likely not be interested in someone like that either lol. This is to say nothing of the actual, chronological years.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

I don’t know about my partner, but it’s just one of those things you ‘feel out’ I suppose? Most of the time I write Fade-To-Black or gloss over the details of any smutty stuff. My interest in nsfw has definitely dipped (I think that just comes with age/mellowing out as a mid-late twenty y/o person) and so my desire to write it is similarly lower than before.

Idk, maybe when the heavy petting starts? Lol

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

I don’t think so? I let my muse do the talking and Skarbrand is selective in that he isn’t interested in the first place. I suppose my selectivity comes in when I’m trying to sus out someones vibe and see if it’s compatible with my own. So kinda, I suppose?

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?

Currently, Skarbrand has A Relationship Of Sorts with @alphabitchnkari​ / N’kari. I’m not super arsed about labelling it and Skarbrand definitely isn’t lmao. He has no comparable relationships with any other muses.

Khaz and Khax have no partners and are likely to remain that way, especially with Khax and his...hangups.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?

I like natural character-to-character chemistry (mun chemistry doesn’t hurt either), so asking is off the table. If I sense someone is angling for a ship ooc and not just playing to their muses’ tendencies, this will breed a solid disinterest in shipping to me and I may even cease future interactions.

Like I said before, I ain’t here to ship. I’ve always found the term ‘ship obsessed’ to be kind of cringe too, ngl. But if ships happen, I will cultivate them dutifully like a gardener :3c

Nothing personal, I just have limited spoons and can’t really manage a bunch of people at once? Especially since shipping usually involves much more mun-to-mun communication than normal, in my experience. Too much of it would overwhelm me, as that’s several gardens I have to tend to instead just a few ya know?

it’s your third year at shiratorizawa and you somehow get roped in to attending some party over summer break

the musics too loud, too many of your classmates are here and you can think of about a million other things to be doing than watching rich kids suck down cheap booze

thankfully one of your friends has been stuck by your side the whole time, the two of you talking and laughing hiding in a corner

but as fate would have it your friend sees the person they like

you reassure them you’ll be perfectly fine and that they shouldn’t miss the opportunity to talk to their crush

“so you go to shiratorizawa?” you turn your head away as the guy leans in, scrunching your nose as the smell of alcohol wafts past your nose. you shift slightly as he continues to box you into the corner and you’re wondering if a good shove will save you from this situation.

“yeah, what of it?” you’re eyes scan across the room trying to find a familiar face, someone you can call out to as to distract this drunken idiot.

“that’s sooo fuckin hot, rich babes like you are sooo hot.” the way each slur of his words is punctuated with his wandering eyes makes you feel a little sick. you decide your best bet is to shove him as hard as you can and make a break for it.

“shall i throw this one out the window y/l/n?” the drunk guy looks back, exposing tendou looming over him with a wicked smile.

“tendou,” you breathe out in relief at the familiar face, “always a pleasure.”

“i know i know, i’m a beauty, so whaddya say? toss him out the window or into the trash?”

“hey! im-”

“not worth it, help me out though,” you gesture with a nod of your head towards the guy trapping you against the wall, tendou grabs the guys shoulder and pushes him aside, making a way for you to walk past him, “can’t have one of our star volleball players getting into a fight at party for lil ol’ me.”

“now now y/l/n~ i would happily throw several drunk guys for you, any day of the week.” he slings an arm around your shoulders and you smile up at him.

“yeesh tendou if you’re gonna keep defending my honor like that at least take me dinner to first.”

“how about ice cream? there’s a place still open down the block.” he taps a finger against his chin and leans more of his weight onto you.

“you sure do know the finer sides of romance.” you wiggle out from under his arm and grab his hand, dragging him towards the front door.

“heyyyy sweetheart, looking for sssome company?” you roll your eyes as some guy settles next to you at the bar, he’s way too close for comfort and the glassy look in his eyes makes you wonder how he’s still standing.

“not at all.” your tone is clipped and you take a long sip of your drink, ignoring the slight burn in your throat.

“y-you are waay to sssexy to be here by yourself.” you feel a hand run down your back and you stifle a gag, you shrug him off, rolling your eyes again at his exaggerated frown.

“he’s right, you’re way too hot to be here, you got a boyfriend or something?” you bite your lip as your boyfriend’s voice cuts through the loud music, you turn to look at him and flutter your lashes.

“and if i do?”

“he’s a real lucky guy.” matsukawa makes a show of running his eyes up and down your body, you try your hardest not to squirm under his gaze.

“hey mannn i saw this cutie first!” the two of you look back at the drunk guy, both of your gazes passive and uninterested. matsukawa moves to put his hands on either side of you and you spin around on the barstool to face him, he leans in close.

“so anyway this boyfriend of yours, is he hot?” you tilt your head as you take in his expression, dilated pupils, lips parted, cheeks flushed slightly from the combination of alcohol and being in a hot club. you send him a confident smirk and relish in the way his eyes focus in on your lips.

“he’s super hot, just so tall and fit,” you press your index finger to his chest, dragging it down slowly, “and he’s packing.”

“what a lucky bastard,” he tilts his head forward, his nose just barely touching yours, “wanna go fuck in the gross club bathroom?”

“you know i do baby.”

you had been looking foward to the food festival that would be taking place over the weekend

i mean!! sm good food to be had plus there might be a cutie to be seen!

your friends had already put together the perfect plan, everyone would go to the food booths they wanted to try the most then yall would meet back at a bench just a little outside of the festival

the perfect plan! you know until you get back first and some drunk guy has to come bother you

“aren’t you a real cute one?” you look up from your ice cream to raise a brow at the man standing over you, swaying slightly as he leers at you. you eat another spoonful as you try to look around the man to see if any of your friends have arrived to your meeting spot yet. you’re wondering if ignoring the man will make him lose interest and move on or just become more persistent.

“hey hey i’m talking to you, be more polite and respond.” you hold back on rolling your eyes, continuing to eat your ice cream and looking around now starting to get a little desperate for one of your friends to appear.

“my dear kouhai, fancy meeting you here.” your head whips over to see futakuchi pull himself over the back of the bench to settle next to you.

“ah futakuchi-senpai hello, are you enjoying the festival?”

“i was, until koganegawa decided to start following me around,” you smile as he slaps his hand against his forehead, “the kid’s nice but god does he give me a headache.”

“koganegawa-kun sure is a big ball of energy.” you laugh.

“what the fuck you’ll talk to this guy but not me?” you and futakuchi look up at the guy, who’s now pointing a finger at you and looks ready to fall over at any second.

“tch, you’re still here?” futakuchi’s voice rings out next to you, and you’re not sure what kind of face he’s making, but it sends the drunk man stumbling back with his face blanching.

“w-whatever.” the man turns around, tripping over his feet and heads back towards the festival.

“what a dumbass,” you turn back towards futakuchi and smile softly as he sighs and leans his head back, “you didn’t wanna tell him to just fuck off?”

“i don’t have a scary face like you senpai.” you giggle at the indignant squawk that leaves futakuchi’s mouth. he pouts at you and you let out another soft laugh. “sorry it’s a nice face though.”

“gah if it’s so nice then come with me to get some takoyaki, stupid koganegawa started chasing me around before i could get any.” he stands up and reaches a hand towards you, you hesitate for a just a second before taking it and he pulls you along with him. you see your friends as futakuchi pulls you into the crows, sending them a sheepish wave as you pass by, knowing you’ll have some serious explaining to do.

Hi. I've always been curious. I didn't read the mdzs novel, just the drama adaptation, so i do not know how the ah-cheng/xichen pairing came to be. I asked someone this before but idk if they answered, and about a year to this fandom, i still don't understand how it started. I love the ship tho. 10/10 on-board of it. But the live action mostly just showed JGY and Xichen's interaction. Or maybe I just missed the hints? I just want to know the history. Thank you in advance if you'll answer.❤️

Anon I will always happily answer any questions about this show! However I must confess that I, like yourself, am a CQL only fan.

That said, honestly if there is one thing I've learnt about fandom in my decade and a half playing about in it it is that people can (and will, and do) try out any and all pairings to see what works, with very limited exceptions (you dont, for example, really see fics breaking up WangXian because, well, canon gave us something pretty much perfect why would we mess with that?). That's one of my favourite things about being in fandom. I do think sometimes all it takes for a ship to become The Fanon Ship™️ for particular side characters is for that one author/artist to write/draw something that grabs the rest of us so hard and wrings such a delighted collective squee! out of us we collectively kind of agree to forget it's not canon?

Now, why XiCheng in particular? Well, from what I know of novel/donghua timelines JC stayed behind at Cloud Recesses after WWX got booted for punching JZX. From what I gather a lot of fics that start the relationship early put it here; one young Sect Leader taking a future Sect Leader under his wing, which turns into something more.

The time skip period generally features a lot of LXC helping JC through the rebuilding post the deaths of JYL and WWX as one of the closest Sect Leaders geographically but also someone JC knows and trusts. The flip side is JC helping LXC deal with LWJ's punishment and isolation.

Post-canon fics tend to play on their parallels and shared grief, the 'I know what it's like to lose a beloved sibling (NMJ/JYL) because of the actions of another beloved sibling (JGY/WWX) and to be responsible for their (JGY/WWX) death. Basically, XiCheng is an interesting dynamic to play with for lots of reasons. Narrative wise both have pretty bad parental examples of love, become sect leaders too young, have their secta burnt down and their beloved brothers go missing. Personality wise there's a bit of opposites attract; JC would do well with someone who was gentle and unrelentingly kind and LXC could do with someone who will get angry on his behalf. Who doesn't love it when the grumpy character is soft for the sunshine character, and the sunshine character only? Heck maybe people just think those are two jawlines that deserve each other?

But I have also seen XiCheng described as a bit of an exercise in "pair the spares" which, uh, I honestly don't get at all because, uh, everyone apart from WangXian is kind of a spare? Discounting XuanLi and the CQL-only almost (but never really) ChengQing there's no canonical romantic relationships to be seen amongst the main protaganists' generation we're not calling JGY/QS a romatic relationship because on this blog we're living in our MianMian and QS ran away together and live as cultivation partners far far away from Jin Lin Tai happy bubble which, again, give the fandom a sandbox ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Personally, I see just as much NieLan and SangCheng as I do XiCheng, and you're right that XiYao has some strong in-text support and is pretty popular (perhaps more so with CQL fans? Lingering public hand touches anybody?). Heck I've even read and thoroughly enjoyed some really good fics with MingXiCheng and ChengYu. I've seen (aged up) XiYu. NingCheng, SangYu, and SangYao aren't super rare, 3zun is everywhere. I've even seen cute ChengYao hcs about them being the most awkward co-parents to ever co-parent one bratty jin heir.

Leaving ALL of that (which is admittedly a lot) aside my own top peronal hc for JC is that he's somewhere on the aro/ace spectrum with a sex-postive leaning because I am invested way too heavily in dad!cheng with two dozen adopted and biological children and only he knows which are which leave me alone.

I just realised I didn't really properly address the point you made about XiYao having more textual support in CQL. Oops, sorry! I guess I would tend to agree. As to why there isn't then more XiYao than XiCheng? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Might be that the XiYao crowd is torn between NieYao, NieLan, 3zun, and XiYao? Might be that people don't want to ship JGY with LXC because they think he doesn't "deserve" to get what he wants? Might just be that the novel/donghua didn't give XiYao that much chemistry and the CQL fandom haven't had time to tip the scales? Short answer, I just don't know.

Did that in any way answer your question anon? I have no idea! Probably not? I apparently have more feelings about the fleets sailing these waters than I thought I did. But hopefully it helped somewhat? If anyone else has anything more concrete please chime in!

How strictly do you follow canon?

OG Canon, By default, up until Zack’s canonical death, I follow canon very muchly. (That doesn’t mean I’m not open to earlier plotted divergence though!) If the overall plot ends with death, then I’m alright with that, I love the handing on of the torch from Angeal to Zack to Cloud. My goal is to never minimize that. But for interactions beyond the end of Crisis Core, I have two particular verses that I absolutely adore based on already established lore and my own head-canons for how Zack would continue.

OG Canon Remake Canon, while it’s nice for options and I don’t mind it, on a technical front I think it weakens the ongoing plot for other characters who then wouldn’t have been forced to grow so much themselves. I enjoyed the remake, but regarding Zack it’s not my cup of tea. I’ll write remake by request, but it’s not my default.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutual.

His genuine care for those around him with unrelenting selflessness is both heartwarming -and heart-wrenching.

Zack’s journey from naivety about the world and events around him to recognizing the harm of the organization he’s been directly a part of. He grows in both substance and maturity as he’s increasingly forced to reckon with reality.

Chasing after an idea which is realized but not how he once imagined it. 

While Zack is strong, he’s most certainly not the strongest. I enjoy playing with weakness.

Almost relentless optimism. How he pushes onward to continue trying to pick up the pieces. Additionally as such a genuine character and I hope that love comes through in my portrayal.

But on a personal my muse front, despite my love for him I love putting him in situations where I get to break him down to build back up again because that’s his strength as a character.

What inspired you to rp your muse?  

Have you ever had a time when you’re watching or playing something and there’s just a character you really identify with like, not just ‘oh, me’ - but beyond that in an almost scary way? For where I was in life and what I was going through, Zack was exactly that for me, and I fell in love with how kept pushing through.

So that was four years ago, and I RP’d him privately within friend groups. Said friends of course moved on from the fandom and I just quietly always wanted to come back to him, there were so many things I’d come up with that I hadn’t gotten to using yet in writing.

So late last year when a friend decided to get into FF7 I made my blog(s) to join them. :3 I did go on hiatus when 7R came out to avoid spoilers as I didn’t have access to a console through the lockdown in my country to play, but I’ve finally returned. (And now you have like a million blogs shgjfjkasghfd.)

What keeps your inspiration going?

On a personal note, Zack’s been an intrinsic part of my life for the past four years. Even when friend groups moved on from the fandom in waves coming and going, he’s never really gone from my life because I live in a fairly small country and he’s one of two cosplays I’m known for here in con/geek circles. (I’ve even Cosplayed him for an official event! <3)

On a writing front, honestly, as I said before, I love the way he keeps on keeping on no matter what’s thrown at him. I don’t want his journey to end. I want him to fall again and again but also to conquer those shortcomings and rise stronger.

That doesn’t have to make him the strongest in body, but in mind that makes him a personal hero for me at least so he’s forever an inspiration. Despite the labels applied to his dream, (See my URL) the pursuit as such defines him admirably.

Unsolicited criticism sucks. That’s not what I’m here for, nor many of us I expect. Miss me with that anxiety spike. I’ve done study in writing for films. I know a lot of technical stuff. But I also enjoy switching that off and allowing things to happen. I’m also a performer, and the the improvisational and spontaneous reactionary side is just as important as the plotted. I’m here for fun to explore what I want with other like minded people. Not for criticism.

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why? 

Unless it’s something that clashes between our two muses like a death or lack-thereof, or important shared-background things that needs discussing, I don’t think there’s much reason for it to be brought up. My headcanons exist for the general purpose of ‘without outside influence, this is my default.’ - that’s it. Sometimes they just aren’t relevant.

If it’s simply ‘I don’t like this this idea’ see the next answer.

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?

If someone does, please don’t tell me. You can go write him yourself or find another closer to how you perceive him. My portrayal is my own, and I don’t need to conform to your idea of what Zack would do or say. Neither of us need to waste energy on this.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?

If it’s my muse, fine. But don’t get aggressive at me about it. I’m also a Genesis mun, so I get the rivalry. But cool your jets.

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  

Sure. In fact please. Honestly, @ RP partners, I don’t mind if you quietly fix em yourself. Dyslexia’s an uphill battle. I’ll often edit posts after the fact if I notice my own mistakes, so sure. But @ Readers, please don’t get at my RP partners grammar. This is consent for my writing, not theirs. Though also don’t be a pick-apart grammar police just to get to me. Have some sense about it. ;)

I can be very talkative. Honestly if that surprises you despite my choice of muses with Zack and Gen then gaia help you. So uh, heads up on that. If I haven’t talked to you yet, the key word is ‘yet’ - I’m just working out where to start or for something to react to.

I headcanon them both as the reasonably-jealous type, I’d say - not an unhealthy amount of it, but still jealous now and again. It’s born mostly from the fact that I hc them as not necessarily being popular to the point of having people often hit on them? The general status-quo is that the only person actively interested in Bakugou is Kirishima and the only person actively interested in Kirishima is Bakugou, so usually they’re pretty chill about jealousy and stuff because they don’t have to be jealous. It does mean that it’s all the more irking to them when someone shows interest in the other, since they’re not used to feeling “threatened” like that, but they tell each other how much they love each other often enough that they don’t really have any reason to be worried anyway.

It’s like, yeah they don’t like it when people get touchy with thir bf, but they trust each other enough to not be actually worried about it. To be honest with you aside from very specific scenarios more than jealous/possessive I prefer my krbks as the protective sort 💕

I don’t… actually think they would fight? For them to get in a serious fight it’d take either a serious misunderstanding of sort or a situation in which both of them are stressed for other reasons and it comes all out with them taking it out on each other. Aside from that, the most probable thing I can see them fighting over is anger fueled by worry for each other’s well being tbh - Kirishima doing something extremely risky and Bakugou turning his fear and worry into anger, and Kirishima being angry right back because they’re heroes, Bakugou can’t be angry at him for acting as an hero should, and Bakugou’s anger getting even worse because Kirishima isn’t valuing his life as much as Bakugou values it, for example. Or Kirishima being worried about Bakugou and for one reason or another pushing it too far and having Bakugou get on the defensive as he does and it all just turning into a fight of “I don’t need you treating me like I can’t take care of myself” and “why must you always be so uselessly stubborn” and so on.

But all of these wouldn’t actually be about them being angry with each other, it’s all stuff that comes from love? From them loving each other so much that their care can turn into something ugly too, that is. At least, that’s the way I see it

Hm, what a question. Overall, I’m pretty indifferent to Uraraka as a whole? I like her design and she’s fun to draw because she’s easy to draw, so that’s part of it. I’m incrdibly unhappy with how Horikoshi is writing her, because he’s given her a lot of potentially very cool traits just to make literally nothing of any of them, and that’s just disappointing. As she is in the manga right now, whether she’s there or not doesn’t change anything for me because A, she’s barely there ever anyway and B, she doesn’t really have any sort of relationship with my faves so my attention doesn’t gravitate much towards her all in all. She’s said a couple of things in the past I’m not much happy about, but I realize they were mostly things said to move along the plot so I made peace with it. I’m not much of a fan of her fanon characterization? So I generally prefer it if she isn’t part of the fancontent I cosume, but that’s on the fandom and not on Horikoshi. 

All in all, lots of wasted potential, but she’s cute I guess? She hasn’t done anything worth notice since the sports fest lbr so I’m very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about her as a whole

Not very. It’s fun and cute and all, but I care a whole lot more about “clicking” with people and having fun writing with them.

Ehhh, depends on my mood. I lean towards female muses in general ( definitely got a bigger chunk of ladies on my list, for sure for sure ) but I love my boys.

Uhhhh, when I first started was long enough ago and the community was so different a lot of those lessons no longer apply. I wish when I finally jumped over to Tumblr I’d realized quicker how the new like....basic ways of meeting people and posting and all worked, which was mostly just a “calm down and go with the flow more, let go of your stupid rigid old habits” lmaooo.

But ummm, not usually. No. Most of my drama has been either A) me posting the very very softest, most diluted version of barely-touching on my politics and my real goddamn life and people being fuckin butthurt as hell about or B) cutting people who were toxic and draining out of my life. So.

Yeah. Once I actually did — when I started college I just didn’t have the time, so I peaced from the larger community to just write with close friends for a while. I’ve also considered leaving the T.umblr RPC a few times, but really only because of long bad depressive episodes. Coming back and “not wanting to literally die irl ha Ha” and catching up with my drafts gets me back on track lmao. 

14. Do you think rp has had a positive or negative affect on your life or you as a person?

Positive! Sometimes I worry that I spend too much time wrapped up in fiction and miss my real life, but I’ve learned to keep my time more separate so now it’s just good to have a healthy hobby that makes me happy. Also I’m definitely a much better writer for it, and there a lot of networking skills I think translate to real workplace skills so it’s 👌

15. How has rp changed you personally?

See above, tbh. And it gives me a lot of good outlets for writing ideas that would otherwise stew in my head until I hated myself for never ever writing any lmao. It’s good.

Ehh. Not really. Sometimes I’ll follow a friend of a friend despite lack of interest just because, like.... My friends are smart and good, maybe I’m just not getting the right “vibe” from their blog as who really they are. Sometimes that just means we never click and I unfollow them later. Or sometimes @rumdaydreams​ drags me straight to mutual hell and we write 20,000 unfinished bullshit and meet irl and she actually talks me into wholeass new blogs and muses. So, you know. Mix bag.

22. What would make you block someone?

Red flags for manipulation and lowgrade emotional a.buse, especially ones I viscerally feel in my stomach from previous experiences. Obvious r.ight-leaning politics ( Weirdly, I’m not particularly comfortable around people who don’t think I or my friends deserve to be treated like human beings! A character quirk, haha! )

Also ngl sometimes I block people just to remind myself I’ve followed them before and I don’t wanna re-follow them six times and look like I’m trying to intentionally harass them. My memory is bad but the block button always knows, lmao. 😅

23. Have you ever stolen something from someone else?

Not intentionally — I try very hard not to steal hc from duplicates or take plots without asking. But, y’know, sometimes an idea sticks in your head and you eventually just forget where it originally came from.

Absolutely, for the most part! I like seeing other perspectives, and especially since @thewrongsorts​ is such a bigass multi it lowkey just makes my life easier.

There are a few exceptions — less because they’re duplicates and more because there are hc/fanon I just......dislike enough I don’t wanna write with them. Not a feeling that’s limited to duplicates tbh.

Ehhh. It’s like not a great thing, but I get the appeal. I tend to unfollow if someone posts a lot of it because then they’re just passive-aggressive as a person, but the occasional vagueblog I don’t mind. Sometimes you gotta get shit off your chest but you don’t wanna make it a wholeass call-out, I get it.

Generally I unfollow. I’m here to write, if we’re not interacting it’s clogging my dash. ( Honestly I unfollow mutuals eventually if we never write.... ) But very occasionally someone’s got such good #takes and hc that I stick around just bc I stan.

how did the parents choose the kid? okay okay bear with me - but my hc is that laurent & damen make it their mission to help all of the kids who were in slavery/abused by the regent/generally in need. the prerequisite for adoption is literally just: need a home. that’s it. if they want to adopt dozens of children, they’re the kings, they can fucking do that. nikandros thinks damen has lost his mind, but he doesn’t really care.

how old was the child when the parents adopted them? the kids are all ages, obviously. in a perfect world (aka, in the fic i’m writing), nicaise lived & he’s the first kid they take in. but some of the others are far younger. some are legit babies. yes, i know i’m doing this meme wrong by not focusing on just one kid, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

did the parents specifically want a boy or a girl? again, it doesn’t matter to them whatsoever.

how long did the parents have to wait? lol they’re the rulers, & adoption isn’t like? an organized thing in their kingdom? 

did the parents adopt inside their own country or outside of it? inside

were they worried about the biological parents? most of kids are orphans, so nope.

how easy was it for the parents to bond with the child? did one parent find it harder than the other? laurent is the fucking baby whisperer. seriously. both of them bond pretty well with all of the kids, but the veretian kids obviously prefer laurent at the beginning & vice versa for any akielon kids with damen. but laurent has more luck getting the kids to nap/stop crying/etc. damen is jealous.

if the child was older when they were adopted, how well did they get along with their parents? the older kids have… been through some shit. laurent gets along with them a little better than damen, if only because he gets it. they understand each other - the way he is with nicaise, really. the older kids also have more of a prejudice against vere/akielos than the younger ones do, but they come to the conclusion pretty quickly that their dads are giant softies. 

did they discuss the decision to adopt with the rest of the family or just with each other? lol what family

how easy was it for the parents’ families to accept the adopted child? nikandros is basically the fun uncle who teaches the kids to wrestle & shit, so he accepts them p easily. he thinks damen has gone a little overboard with all the kids. but he’s learned to take things in stride. 

why did the biological parents give them up? do the parents know? do they tell the child? a lot of their parents are dead. so.

what was the child’s life was like before they were adopted? we all know that it wasn’t great.
