my take on buck and eddie and bdsm is that buck a) has engaged in kinky stuff because whoever he was sleeping with liked it, b) has read up on a bunch of stuff during a reasearch binge and is therefore pretty knowledgeable on the topic and c) would never actually have a safeword or aftercare or hard limit or whatever of his own because he’s so focused on making other people happy and has the relative self worth of a teaspoon. meanwhile eddie has slept with maybe two people in his life and at the thought of some basic nun roleplay could no longer get it up. he probably thinks bdsm is silly internet speak and therefore has no clue what it is.

anyway my point is that yeah they engage in some kinky stuff of their own, but while buck is fully aware of like traffic light systems and kink compatibility lists he doesn’t bother bringing it up because it’s just him and eddie and they’re both having a good time so why bother? and for eddie everything falls just under the sex umbrella so it’s all fine it’s all good. and then at some point on a call they have to cut someone out of ropes after a scene gone wrong and eddie discovers some stuff and sits buck down going hey what the fuck maybe we should talk about this? and buck goes wait eddie has it not been good are you not having fun🥺 and eddie goes yeah good point let’s fuck. and that’s why they never talk about it.

Twilight’s mentor is a strange one. In a world of twilit planes forever shrouded in mystery, the older unicorn Lest and her adopted student Twilight are one in many common travelers, migrating the pitted wastelands and eeking survival within settlements that spring up around the glowing meteor shards. Despite living with Lest for the last four years, Twilight can’t help but seek answers to where her brother has gone— and in the process, perhaps dig a bit too deeply into the complexities of gods far older and dangerous then she can truly fathom.

On the otherhand, Celestia “Lest” Sol is having a terrible millenium. Her sister is no longer her sister, her student teleported herself halfway across the continent, and she got herself kidnapped by an old rival trying to attune with the elements of harmony to overthrow the current ruler of Equestria.

At least she gets a toxic yuri moment.

Meanwhile, Chrysalis is having a great time. She’s got kingdoms to conquer and people to feed and a waning god to taunt.

(The Selene Grace hates the sun monarch they deposed five centuries ago as they stay chained to their post, keeping the lunar and solar bodies from crashing into each other. Luna misses her sister, and the easier world where they haven’t hurt each other beyond reparation. Nightmare Moon misses their monstrosity, trapped in a host who’s grief has poisoned them with empathy.

Things are bound to tip. The celestial bodies are not bodies, but prisons, and the amalgamations we call alicorns the key. And something desperately wants to be freed…)

I think this is one of my favorite lines from the Wraith route because of (imo) how much the meaning changes depending on if you got there via Spectre or Nightmare. For Spectre, it honestly strikes me as a genuine question. Why are you doing this to her? If you're on the Spectre route, you presumably already know the Narrator can't really be trusted, since you had to reject his reward to get here. What are you hoping to gain from continuing to hurt her? For Nightmare, it honestly just makes me sad. As the Shifting Mound describes her, "She desires only companionship, but the only thing she knows is how to hurt." This line feels like a plea from someone who genuinely doesn't understand why you keep rejecting her. She wants to be with you, but she just can't understand how to do that in a way which doesn't hurt you.

I can barely begin to express how much the course of my life has been altered because of a 40 minute highlight video done by @jelloapocalypse and friends riffing over a 20 year old sky pirate game.

I made an off-handed comment after watching it together with two of my longtime friends, about how much I wish I had what Vyrsa had, and one of those friends STRAIGHT-UP TELLS ME that her and her wife have been crushing on me for a while.

The feeling was mutual, though I'd been of course hesitant to even hint at it.

Anyway now a few months later, we're a thruple, and we decided to honor the genesis of our relationship by cosplaying as the trio that made it a reality for my 30th birthday!
