Scam warning

Hello guys (/n), I'm going to tell you a little story about how I almost got scammed today. THANKFULLY, I'm extremely skeptical about people and don't make rash decisions, but more to that in a second.

So, the story begins with an instagram request for a commission by a private account (with a name where a few letters had been replaced with numbers). Or rather, whether or not I do take requests. Now, it wasn't the first time I've received one, but it was the first time I thought: You know what? Why not try it out for once? In hindsight, these may already have been scam accounts who simply gave up once I shut them down at first contact. (Instagram has loads of scammers.) At that point, I was, of course, already aware that scams are a thing, so I was wary from the very beginning but naive and curious enough to try. I don't HAVE a business account on paypal or anything, I made it clear to the user that it's the first time I've ever tried this, so I ask for patience to bear with me trying to figure out how it works. For that reason alone I stated fairly low prices and what not. But I also made clear that I would charge for my work and payment via paypal.

The first thing that seemed... OFF to me, was that I was sent a reference picture and a 'can you draw this'. I expected ... more. Like, a prompt, a certain style or something specific like a tattoo design (to which I would have declined). Nothing came, they just agreed on the highest price range I offered. So, I figured they wanted a full on colored picture. I assumed that this person may have paid for commissions before and was therefore kind of used to these exchanges and didn't wish to bother me, the artist, too much. As I mentioned above, I do not have a business account on paypal. I never upgraded and paypal TELLS me, I need to give in a firm address. And since I live in Germany, I KNOW there are tons of restrictions for these. I'd have to have official paperwork and everything to do this, but I didn't want to risk publishing my parents' address and so on. NEITHER did I feel comfortable even sharing my private E-Mail. And here is where I was smart for once, because this E-mail was set up running about max. an hour before I responded to the Instagram request. Now, after all the necessary precautions were done, they told me they already sent me the money on paypal. Which... odd? I expected some reluctance and mistrust on their part. But again, I assumed it had to do with their experience. So I looked and found that I had received nothing. I checked again, nothing. What I did receive, was an Email from what appeared to be Paypal.

It looked official at first glance... And here is where my mind went cray cray. Because, okay, here me out, I'm easy to fool and don't like bothering people with my shit. I actually believed that this instagram user would have to pay 300$ to have me have a business account. And I thought, hold on, this doesn't make sense. If there is a fee to pay, why do THEY have to pay it, and why do they get it refunded? What's the purpose of these 300$ that appear and disappear out of and into nowhere? But I was fooled enough to believe it. Or at least assume it was a coincidence and that if this email was scam I did not suspect the instagram user.

Although, I did think, if this was a scam, it would make sense. Because they'd be playing me to believe they were the ones being fooled and I'd offer to pay them their money back out of my own pocket. Which I had early decided would be the last, LAST resort. Or in this case, none at all. Because I would have simply finished the drawing, sent it to them and then lived without the profit. They would have paid, I would have done the work, the payment would simply have been lost at sea and I'd feel like crap about how it all went, but without making a minus. But of course, as a morally just person, I could not let them pay that money to paypal for no reason, so I told them to wait, I would try to open a business account manually, because that should have fixed the problem, right? And I would find these requirements somewhere on the app, and likely in the process of opening a business account, right? There should be no such thing as automatically upgrading to business paypal without extra steps. That's why this seemed weird in the first place. But of course, there have been Loads of AGB changes without my notice, so what do I know? So, I tried. It didn't work and it didn't add up with the mail. The user told me, they would pay the fee, I told them to wait until I figured out more. I couldn't find anything about this, so of course, I grew more skeptical. Because I do not like when I don't understand how something works and how it's all connected, so I refused to give up just yet. (kinda weird how I assumed they would be just as mistrusting of such a money demanding email as I was. They didn't seem to be, but I didn't trust it.) I then told them that paypal usually allows you a refund if you didn't get what you asked for, but they said they tried and it didn't work, and that I would have to send THEM the initial fee back. I hesitated. Because at this point, it was beginning to feel ... weird. And surreal. Because I assumed they would focus more on receiving the art, but the focus wasn't on that at all. They didn't even ask me how long I'd need to do it. They didn't seem worried or stressed, they were calmer than me, and I was holding myself together remarkably well for my own temper. And I told them as much.

I asked them to wait again, as I would ask a friend of mine who DOES have a paypal business account and who knows these things. They asked me why we can't do it alone. So, I told them as follows:

It's obvious, isn't it? I KNOW my friend personally, I know what they know, what they can do, etc. I do not know you, the stranger over instagram and you don't know me, so I don't expect there to be THAT level of trust between us. They may as well expect that I'm the scammer, right?

And I guess that's when my suspicion slowly hardened, because wouldn't people NORMALLY be glad if I knew someone who could help? Why keep this between us, who have no clue what's going on? Of course, I thought, it could simply be pride. But then why let ME handle it all, instead of insisting they know what to do?

My next course of action was then to text that friend, while I already readied myself to respond to the paypal mail. Because how DARE they expect random people to pay 300$ for someone else's account? (Told you, I'm a naive fool.) But then... in the middle of typing, I paused. Because as I mentioned, Germany has a ton of restrictions. And ONE of these restrictions is that in Emails, they have to link an Impressum. Contact data and stuff. The email seemed... too short, so I went and looked up the email address. At first, I couldn't find anything. Which was even weirder, because if this was officially paypal, it SHOULD be linked somewhere, right? So, I tried looking again. And this time, there was one meager result. And THIS was it:

The email was fishy, because it had an onmail. ending. I cross examined it by googling the official paypal mail and.... BABAM. That one has a dozen results on google. At this point, I was honestly, more impressed than upset. And maybe a little proud that even my moral justice and naivety hadn't completely betrayed me. And you know? I would have felt bad to assume that the instagram user was at fault for this, and this wasn't just a coincidence... If it weren't for the fact that my intended business email had existed for less than an hour, therefore nearly impossible to have been open for data leaks or what not, and THEY were the first person I sent it to. It was the third mail in total I got, next to the "welcome to gmail" and "Your account has been linked to paypal" mail. So, finally, I could be sure. I reported and blocked the instagram user and I do hope that they get taken down. Check the email-addresses that want to send you stuff. Never trust people you've never met, ask for a second opinion if you're unsure and cross examine everything. I hope that by reading this little story, you guys will find the red flags that the idiot I am refused to see at first glance. I've highlighted them in bolt letters to make sure you see how MANY there are. Everything that's bolt are where my mind went: hold on a second. You can tell... it's quite a LOT I ignored before I reported them, isn't it? Don't be like me. Make sure you block them before this happens.

Leverage Redemption Log: The Card Game Job

Ok, time for the show to try and justify its use of playing-cards in the leader i guess? (still waiting for the timebomb) --- Ah, a beautiful establishing shot of a riverside, then a shot of a toppled tree. Nice to see a place get shown rather then hidden behind infinity-point font.

Kids dad is running out of money for their medication, its gotten to the point they need to sell their truck. (Fuck) kid dies within 1 minute of taking the medicine. --- Look I know this guy is scum, but lets not use the "he's pleading the fifth and listening to his lawyer and therefore must be evil" propaganda bullshit, allright? He's evil because he's holding sick childrens lives hostage, not because he's pleading the fifth.

hedge fund primarily made up of his own money? That sounds like a lie. --- Poor Lucy, Not only did she get fucking kidnapped, not only does she have to watch workplace harassment seminar videos but also IT looked into her browsing history? Poor Lucy.

Suck-up is gonna be the achiles heel. (Suck up is also the true mastermind behind the price-gauging) Breanna is placing office bugs.

Guy got second in a TCG once years ago and is still pissed about it. Initial prediction: Sell him a Black Lotus? --- Back from commercials, Breanna is loredumping. Apparently there is a rare and unique card in the castle somewhere. (no one knows what the finder gets outside the card. Im betting its Willy Wonka rules and the finder gets the company) --- They've taken the bait and now legitimately think the company might be for sale.

redirected his e-mail server. Honestly a lot more we could be doing with that. (you know what happens when a hedgefund CEO type doesnt have access to his own e-mail for a day? What can happen if you can send e-mails from his server in his name? I sure as heck dont know but am afraid of the answer)

Ok, either he is actually selling or we're getting counter-conned. (yeah, number 2 is definitly the real power here. We're scamming the wrong mark) --- and we're doing a national-treasure cluehunt. (its gonna suck, cause all the riddles are gonna be clueless riddles about a fictional cardgame we as an audience cant solve.)

Why the slo-mo on the walkout of the theatre? This scene does not ask for that. --- Sad Breanna is sad that Parker wont accept their help. (Parker is acting a bit OOC here, she knows better then to refuse a booklet of passwords)

Harry is here to unionise the securityguards.

Breanna has bought Parker time by attacking his pride and re-focussing him into "proving himself" by playing the actual game (he knows he cant lie about the riddles) Big Thug is off to find Sophie (dont worry, Elliot is with her)

Elliot is not happy that he's being volunteered for a Joust. (weird, i know he likes horses) --- Cordozar is wearing secret Clark Kent glasses to cheat. (When is team leverage gonna catch on that they're conning the wrong mark) --- And "Rage" has killed Elliot's dragon. Ah the classic "its all part of the show" fightscene. Love myself one of those.

Ok its the lake-pond. Nice little thing with harry signing to take the earbuds out for a private talk. --- "you have to be a killer" breanna says one thing he doesnt like and he imediatly calls for a time-out. Look for anyone who wasnt paying attention, obviously this all ends with Mr. Poet not selling his company because his passion has been re-ignited, and may even end with him getting his castle back. But I just want to note how charming it is to see Sophie con a man, not because she is after anything he owns but because she just needs him to be happy and distracted for a bit. --- What do you mean it took Breanna this long to realise she could hack his glasses/earbud thingy or his assistants cardgame-supercomputer... I guess she is new at this like Harry is so it sort of makes sense for her to miss that... --- Climatic "place to belong" community-speech is a bit on the nose and overdone but its a cliche that is overdone for a reason. (guess what, most cliche's are cliche because they work. saying something is cliche is a statement of fact not an insult)

"guess im not that good", nice line. 8.9/10 --- "lets just say the new owners are happy, and even happier to avoid a class action lawsuit". Game night at the theatre. --- Unfortunately this episode did not assist in justifying the sequel series bond-based trailer.

WARNING TO ALL FANS REGARDING SCAMMERS POSING AS SAM HEUGHAN (Info Directly From Some Of The Victims)

I'm doing a post about this because, over the last year or so, I was approached by at least 4 women who were scammed by Fake Sam and I thought it was important to let fans know the extent of these scams. I want to warn people and hopefully, prevent others from suffering the same fate.

Click on Keep reading for the rest of my post. It's super long because I provide a lot of the details I was told--I think it's valuable info to have.

Soooo, we've all seen Sam periodically post these warnings letting fans know to be careful of scammers posing as him or someone associated with him. And being clear he DOES NOT, WILL NEVER message fans, including on other platforms, such as Google Hangouts or WhatsApp

And a little while ago, there was even an article that addressed this. It talked in detail about a few fans who had gotten scammed out of money by a Fake Sam, and also one woman thought she was in a romantic relationship with Sam. Sadly, they were being fooled. 👇

So, you may have read the article above and thought to yourself, "How could these women believe that was Sam, how could they fall for it? That would never happen to me, I know better." Well, you'd be surprised how sophisticated and manipulative these con artists are.

Here is the experience I had with some fans who DMed me about what happened to them. I'm posting this because it seemed to happen more often than I thought and it happened to women who are intelligent and have life experience. I'm not going to post any identifying info or give too much away about who they are. My main point is to let people know the extent of these con jobs and how far they go, so people can be more vigilant.

A few of the women were approached on Google Hangouts, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc., and were convinced by Fake Sam that it was him. I won't get too into those details because I want to focus on two cases that are very disturbing and these two are much more intricate. And I do think even people who look for red flags could fall for this one type of scam. Let me tell you about it.

These two women in particular were victims of what I call "the long con." Some of these scammers are able to reel people in for years because they have multiple people they're scamming at once, therefore, they can take their time, and make more money that way. While they wait for one victim to fall for the scam, they have several others they are already scamming.

These two women had similar stories. But they don't know each other. They each DMed me to let me know that they met Sam at an Outlander fan convention and at an Outlander fan meet and greet a couple of years ago. They gave Sam something with their name on it, ie. business card, social media account name, something they made for him, or they directly told him their name. Fake Sam later contacted them online to thank them. The account looked just like Sam's verified social media accounts with the same profile pic and with the verified blue check! (As an aside, now that Twitter lets anyone pay a fee and get a blue check verified account, these types of impostors will be even more rampant).

Anyway, after Fake Sam contacted them on his fake "verified" account, he asked them to create an e-mail solely for communicating with him and he would do the same. He said this was necessary because if he continued to communicate on his "verified" account, sometimes his team would have access to it, and they may see the messages. Of course, this was all part of the ruse to make it more believable and create a special secret bond with the victims.

The women believed it was the real Sam because he knew details about what had happened at the convention/meet and greet and described what the women looked like and what they were wearing at the convention/meet and greet! Fake Sam then started communicating with them regularly, all platonic and friendly at first. He won their trust over time, telling them supposed "insider" tidbits that they believed only real Sam would know. The truth was that everything Fake Sam told them were things already out in the fandom or things that anyone could find out if they did a deep data mine, or things certain fan groups were privy to. More on that later...

After months and months of communicating with them, Fake Sam started to reveal that he had developed romantic feelings for them, he made them feel special. He told them despite all his fame and fortune, he was "lonely," and didn't actually have too many close friends. He told them that the women he dated were casual and he didn't have real feelings for them, and that the victims were the only ones who truly understood him. That all his other relationships with younger women, that he realized the women were immature, and he was coming to terms with how much he valued women who were more mature. Imagine how heady that would be for someone, let's just say over 40 aka a mature woman, to hear from someone as gorgeous and sexy as Sam. Very hard to resist. To be clear, Real Sam never said any of the above. This was all Fake Sam.

After over about ONE YEAR of communicating this way, when Fake Sam had good and well won these women's trust and made them feel like he had real romantic feelings for them. And that they knew his secrets, and they had a special bond, Fake Sam suddenly had...you guessed it--"financial troubles" and began asking for money.

Fake Sam made up stories that seemed plausible. He used the special bond he'd cultivated for so long to his advantage. He told them that he couldn't ask family or friends for the money because he was in legal trouble and was "too embarrassed," and didn't want his family or friends to know. But, that since he trusted the victims and he knew "you would never reveal my secrets," that they were "the only person I can turn to for help." Again, all very seductive and hard to resist. Once he established how desperate for help he was, Fake Sam gave even more credence to the story by involving "contacts" he had in the US and the UK. Supposed "management" or his "team" that "people didn't know about" because they took care of his finances behind the scenes. This Fake Management then started to communicate with the victims directly and give info on how to either wire money or directly route to a bank. It all seemed legit and on the up and up if it involved an actual bank.

At this point, most people would ask to talk to Sam on the phone or Facetime, or talk to his supposed management, right? Well, these women did just that. And guess what happened? They actually were given cell phone numbers to call these "managers" and they did talk to them on the phone! Some of the "managers" were female and some were male. And they either had an American accent or an English accent. But, doing their due diligence, the victims asked to talk directly to Sam. One woman thought she was talking to Sam, she said the person sounded "just like Sam." And the other woman insisted on a video call with Sam. And she thought she was talking to real Sam. Well, guess what? For those who are not aware, there is now technology that can fake someone's voice. And even technology that can fake Facetime calls. Google "deepfakes" of celebrities and you will see the scary truth. So, these scammers used advanced technology to literally fake Sam's voice and even his face! The fake videos can only "talk" for so long and can only "say" limited things, so the scammers would find some excuse why the video call dropped, but still it was convincing enough.

So, now that for over a year or more, Fake Sam haddeveloped a relationship with these women, bonded with them, won their trust, he and his "management" asked for the "special" help that only the victims could give. And thus, began the multiple money requests. Lots of money, but only a little at a time, so it wouldn't seem so bad. The scammers explained that Fake Sam was in trouble and if they didn't help him he could face legal problems, "including prison." No one wants to see Sam in prison if they have the means to prevent it, right? The Fake Managers and Fake Sam continued to communicate regularly with the victims and continued to rob them of their hard earned money. Both cases went on for two years!

Eventually, Fake Sam stopped communicating and now the Fake Managers started to align with the victims against Fake Sam by complaining that they weren't getting paid by Sam. Fake Sam promised the victims he would pay them back and also promised to meet them in person. When the scammers had milked the victims of as much money as they knew they could get, they started to back off, communication trickled in. But they didn't want the victims to figure out it was all a lie, so they now made it like Sam was not paying them either and they were going to quit. In the end, Fake Sam stopped communicating and the Fake Managers "quit" for non payment of salaries by Fake Sam.

Even though, Sam is a millionaire, with plenty of rich and famous friends who could help him out if need be, Fake Sam convinced the victims that he couldn't ask those he knew for help because he was "embarrassed" to and because he was "in legal trouble." Devastatingly, one victim lost over $100,000 and another almost $200,000. Yes, you read that right. It's heartbreaking.

I posted this to let people know these scams are real and they continue to happen. And also, to give you my theory on WHO is behind these particular ones, in order to WARN OUTLANDER FANS. The main thing that "hooked" the victims into believing this was real Sam was that he gave them very specific details about their time with him at the conventions and meet and greets AND that he described what the they looked like, including what they were wearing. WHO ELSE but real Sam would know that? Um, OTHER OUTLANDER FANS who were also nearby watching and listening at these conventions and meet and greets! I know, I have goosebumps too. Scarily, my friends, I think these scams are an INSIDE FANDOM JOB. The scammers had to have been there to know details about the victims. In addition, all the insider Sam and fandom info they gave the victims are only things long time fans would know. Soooo, please be very careful at future conventions and meet and greets...and if "Sam" or his "management" happens to contact you afterwards--JUST SAY NO.

And, yes, Sam is well aware. That's why he keeps posting warnings. And the fans talking to Fake Sams continue to think the warnings don't apply to them. Trust me, they do. I'm not going to say more as to not jeopardize anything that's being done to stop these scammers.

PS. Please no victim bashing in the comments. Let's practice compassion for those who have already suffered enough.

It's better not to smoke but he doesn't think it's a good idea to take cigarettes away from the ppl who do smoke. As long as it's in moderation, doesn't cause trouble for others and we're considerate, he thinks it's fine 🚬

Whether it's about ordinary cigarettes or e-cigarettes, he doesn't know the circumstances of the situation, but he think each person has their own reasons for it

≫ Furuba:

Again, Furuba probably had the shortest rehearsals he's ever had in his entire acting career so far

There were some scenes that were cut apparently

He wishes he could talk about them but he's not gonna get into it since he doesn't want to stream too late into the night on a weekday

… he says, but still talks about it lol

It seems he drew the short straw among whose character's scene to cut since they had to fit as much content as possible into that 3 hour run-time 😭

≫ Tensura:

It's been two and a half months so he doesn't remember it as much, he's been working on such different works and meeting so many different ppl since

Although it was the first time he and Miyashita Yuya co-starred, they got along the best

He really liked him and they had alot of drinks together

He thinks they had very similar personalities and ways of thinking, and that's why they got along so well - he clarifies that this is all one-sided though

I think he said seikaku (性格; personality) but someone in the chat wrote they thought he said seiyoku (性欲; sexual desires)???

"Wouldn't it be weird if we had the same sexual desires? I don't know about Yuya's sexual desires"

He's the type of senpai who he doesn't have to be so considerate of because they get along well even when they talk in an unofficial setting

The chat is gaslighting him into believing he actually said seiyoku

"How many times am I gonna say 'sexual desire'? This is gonna be in the archives so I gotta be careful. There's probably an army of people out there who are gonna take advantage of this" ww This man doesn't want to be caught in 4K 😂

His bunny ears keep being out of frame

It's been a long time since he saw Mahiro (he's doing Osomatsu on Stage rn)

Hiroki also wanted to be in Osomatsu but he was told it was impossible due to his age 😭

Su~su~su~su~sumairu~

Apparently the choreographer for the Tensura closing theme was the same one as the one in SekaNeko!

He thought it was gonna be difficult for Benimaru and Souei to fit the last dance part but it was alot of fun in the end

The make-up departments for Tensura/Suehiro/Furuba and their routines were all completely different; even if they all had the same base (his face), he thinks they were completely different

The wig and make-up artists all belong to the same team

He particularly liked the red tear drop for Benimaru's make-up 🩸 Maybe it should have been a bit more red though

The line was very fine and every day it looked a bit different

It was fun wearing hakama and wielding an ōdachi 🤗 He thinks having a sword is like having a friend ww

It wasn't difficult to wear the hakama - that is, if you learn the correct way to walk while wearing it

Benimaru's hakama is double layered after all and the haori (?) on top

The chat mentions how his sandals flew in one performance and the scabbard in another performance

It seems he ripped the hakama at two different occasions (as seen in senshūraku, but then also during the final battle scene with the Orc Disaster?)

He's grateful to Ogi Hana's performance 👏

omg apparently Hakurou's hair came off in one performance too?? He grabbed it mid-fight and let it hang off the sword as a charm

≫ Furuba:

Keeping the theme of mishaps, there was also the incident during Furuba where the juzu beads got scattered on stage (I'm assuming from Kyo's bracelet when Kazuma ripped it off in the beginning?)

Apparently they were torn two days in a row (thankfully no one tripped on them). Perhaps they acted as a substitute for protecting him 📿

Although Aya did trip backwards in the second to last performance (when he bumped into one of the ensemble members) 😭

It seems he had gotten the OK for from the producers beforehand to reference the title of the song

He's unsure if he did the correct lyrics tho

Apparently Sashihara Rino (producer of =LOVE, previous member of AKB48) came to see the play that day! (Souma Isuzu's actress Nogiuchi Iori is part of =LOVE. Additionally, Honda Tooru's actress Yoshida Ayano Christie is also part of Nogizaka46 which is the official rival group of AKB48 🫢)

Someone asks him how long it took to make the Aya doll but first, as for the "Yuki-chan who loves his brother 100%" cardboard standee, he drew it all by himself after everyone had left the performance hall for the day

He stuck around until closing hour

Since he had about an hour off-stage for each day's performance, he had alot of thinking time

Then the cardboard standee was destroyed in an instant lol

He thought it would've been nice if it had been destroyed by Yuki himself but Kyo is Kyo after all

"The cardboard was then thrown apart without further discussion"

He was shocked since the cardboard was actually pretty hard

He went to Tokyu Hands by himself to buy the cardboard specifically, then he hired a car to have it delivered (!!) because there was no way he was bringing 180cm cardboard on the train or in a taxi - and he paid it all by himself

It wasn't Aya who fell to his knees on stage, it was all Hiroki 😂

They would pay it if he asked them to, but he did it because he wanted to

He thinks it'd be uncool to have the others pay for every single thing

It might have been better if he spent his money on other props since it was finished off with a single blow, but as long as that moment leaves a lasting impression on alot of people, he thinks it's worth the time and money spent

He's been questioning himself alot for a long time; "what am I doing?"

As for the scene where he held the kabutomushi (Japanese rhinoceros beetle), he doesn't even remember how it came to be

It had only been a few days since they had gotten to the rehearsals (they hadn't even gone through the rehearsals or practiced yet) and on the second day, they were already in costume

He's never done anything in that condition before

They gave him free rein to do pretty much whatever he wanted

He's not sure why he came out with the beetle in that really moving scene but it received lots of laughter during rehearsals

Hiroki himself barely even realizes that he held a beetle, he just wanted to convey that specific line

It was actually a stag beetle apparently - it might have been because Tooru called it a stag beetle in another scene. Maybe Ayame had picked it up first then let it escape

Needless to say, none of this was in the script lol

At one of the performances, there was a man in the audience who did a snorting laugh so Hiroki almost lost his composure

(Note: snort laughing is butappana (ぶたっぱな/豚鼻) which uses the characters for 'pig' and 'nose')

The spotlight had only just hit him but he hadn't said any lines yet

He was happy to receive that response even though it wasn't the right timing

"If I'd laughed in that scene, I wouldn't be a professional anymore"

In that sense, they're really making the performances together with the audience, it's different every time

≫ Tensura and Suehiro:

He mentions snort laughing senpais like Shunri and Yuya - and Yuya truly is a pig nose ww

At the very end in Tensura when Geld begs for forgiveness from the Ogre clan, apparently Yuya found it very funny that his pig nose was basically pressed into the ground 🐽

He seemed to have been struggling quite alot with that nose (not to mention they had to get rid of the tusks before the performances had even begun)

B*z*n and Ts*r*m*r* had the same make-up artist for Suehirogari 🤫

Unless their make-up sessions didn't fall within the same timeslots, he doesn't know who had their make-up done together with who

Someone asks "what about Michu-niki?" and he thinks they meant Murata Mitsu since they said -niki (from aniki; older brother) but they actually meant Hayashi Mitsuaki (Onimaru's actor)

He's not sure if he should say this but he can't help but think Mitsuaki looks like Menjo Kentaro (!!)

He thinks they're both wild, old-fashioned, a bit clumsy, close in age (Mitsu is born in 1990/10 and Menjo is 1990/11), and have similar face structure

He's unsure if he should say things like these but since he's not saying anything bad, moreover he thinks it's positive, it doesn't have to be a secret - everyone go tweet it 👌

He hasn't seen Menjo in a while and he misses him 🥺

If he's completely super honest though, he does not remember names. If one's icon and face matches though, he'll remember

He would like more of us Chaba to have our faces as icons

He might remember if for example, you say your name and show your icon while taking cheki together

He might remember some by their no-face icons though but not all - he will not tell lies

Naturally, he will not remember the faces of first-time event visitors

For his next event, he'd like to be able to have physical contact

For the Osaka evening cheki, he had assigned one of the poses as "good heart" (search for グッドハートポーズ) where one does half a heart and the other gives a thumbs up (kind of like a rejection), but because there was a confusion of who would do which pose, it pretty much just ended up like a full heart most of the time 🫶

Many of the Chaba thought they weren't allowed to touch the partition screen or they were too embarrassed to touch it

He wanted to break down the partition screen

Everyone were touching all over with the handcuffs tho

"The handcuffs were great. I liked the handcuffs, personally I liked them alot. It felt like we were connected. The other [poses] were also good, but I thought the handcuffs were really good"

Since he's not with an agency anymore, he hasn't been receiving many fan letters recently (he looks so sad and lonely as he says this 🥺)

I think a lot of ppl need to really understand that if you’re Donating money to an individual person online, you have no control over that money once you’ve given it + aren’t owed anything from that person.

Someone saying ‘hey, can anyone spare some cash for my transition fund/food/to afford a motel room so I’m not on the streets/etc’ isn’t setting up some kind of kickstarter where you give 20 bucks and are mailed a return prize of Their Life or w/e. You aren’t making an investment in something, you aren’t supporting some kind of nonprofit that is supposed to be distributing the money to specific people for a specific purpose-someone is asking you for a few bucks, and you’re choosing to part with them.

And like yeah, I think it’s a classist stigma that poor & homeless people are ‘just asking for money to spend on drugs’, a good percentage of the time that isn’t the case. But sometimes it is! or sometimes it’s other things-maybe someone asked for PayPal donations for their HRT, & then spent it on McDonald’s. Maybe they’re a homeless teen couch surfing w a friend and they use some of the money they got to save up for a new place to buy a squishmallow or something from spirit Halloween instead. It doesn’t mean they’re ‘scamming’ you.

People don’t always make the decisions with money that you want them to make-but once you’ve given them that money, it is no longer your money to control. More than that, you’ve made the informed decision to give money to a person you don’t know without the promise of a return-don’t pretend to be comfortable with doing that if you aren’t! Just as they don’t owe anything to you, you didn’t owe anything to them-as an adult you’re able decide for yourself if you’re willing and able to donate money to someone, and many people assess their situation and say ‘no, I can’t give anything right now.’. It isn’t burglary, no one is forcing you to donate even if some people are guilt trippy about it-so if you do give them money, you need to take responsibility for that decision and act like an adult about it rather than demanding they provide receipts or enter into some sort of quasi-christian charity type emotional debt to you.

While checking up on the scam list I found that one of the accounts, sweatymoontimemachine, now redirects to sostudentbarbarian.

(meaning they repurposed one scam blog to run a different scam)

This account was previously part of a group of scam accounts running the 'my nose freezes' scam under the usernames @sublimedestinybird (now blank) > @sweatymoontimemachine > @magicalhottubvoid. (all banned)

I was made aware last night by @goodnightbinx that this scammer is sending people who send them donations additional requests for money via paypal once they have your paypal e-mail/name.

If you are unfamiliar with PayPal, you may think the scammer is sending you money to thank you.

But no, they are asking you for MORE money.

Okay i haven't read everything bc it's a lot but i have to talk about this

I worked on a huge YouTube channel here in brazil for a few months and although i don't think they're as deranged as MrBeast, it was still weird as fuck

First of all, the e-mail advertising the positions they were looking for was extremely unprofessional, to the point that if it hadn’t been vetted by my uni I'd think it was a scam or something. They're a children's channel so they used very informal language, and I kid you not, one of the questions on the application form was "what’s your favorite movie?"

I mean, it doesn’t fucking matter??? I'm gonna do my job regardless of the project being similar to my favorite movie/genre or not. This shouldn’t be a deciding factor.

And then pay vs job. The position was advertised as an internship, and i thought I would be mentored by someone, which ended up not being true. Someone would give me the assignments but I'd have to figure out on my own how to do them. I was okay with that because of the pay, which was a bit more than most internships, but it also made me raise an eyebrow.

Well, in the end my concern became reality: it wasn't an internship. They just advertised it as such so they could hire students. They ended up firing a friend and I because we couldn’t work 8 hours a day (because of uni) and they hired someone to do my job but 8 hours a day FOR THE SAME PAYMENT.

This was their plan all along, keep us there until they found a sucker that would work more than us for the same payment.

Also in the first meeting they said they were looking for people who "would give their everything until they became a part of the family" which just irked me sooo bad, and they did end up requiring some whacky shit from us.

And then the job itself.

We were supposed to get all the scripts for the following week on friday, so we could get there on monday already aware of what we had to do/buy, cause monday was the day we went shopping for supplies (let’s ignore us having to do the reading during our off time). Except this never happened in the 5 months i worked there. Not a single time were they delivered on time, sometimes they would get there on WEDNESDAY of the following week (so 5 days late) and we had to scramble to get shit done on time.

Also, they were sooo averse to the organization used in movies, they were against any kind of organization, we asked for a certain document in our first week and they gave us a document, we said that wasn't it, the one we were asking for was supposed to be a lot more detailed, so the person got mad and told us that was all they had and we had to make it work.

Whenever we tried to show them a document and be like "this is really helpful! It would make everyo one's lives easier!" they would immediately shut us down with "we don't do that here".

OH ANOTHER THING I JUST REMEBERED!!

They hired us as if each of us was a "company" instead of a person (which is fine and legal here), EXCEPT that means we shouldn’t have fixed working hours. This model of hiring you get paid for doing the job (for example: 5 props for a video) so it doesn’t matter if i took 30 minutes or 3 weeks to do the job yk, it’s like, instead of perks like paid health insurance and everything as an employee you get flexible working hours and home office.

BUT THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN!!! I HAD FIXED HOURS!!! IN PERSON!!! WHICH WAS ILLEGAL!!!

IF YOU DON'T WANNA GIVE ME EMPLOYEE PERKS YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO REQUIRE I WORK ON AN EMPLOYEE SCHEDULE!!!

And one day i had to paint a wooden box. Easy enough right, just paint it plain red? Well, it would be if we had any kind of paint. We had ran out of spray paint and acrylic paint a few weeks before and even though i had requested more to be bought, they hadn't. So i went to my boss, who just told me to "figure a way to do it and get it done" and not to bother the Boss (aka the YouTuber and owner of everything).

I found some red cardboard and decided to line the box with it, and it actually turned out quite nicely. Well, the next day i discovered my boss didn’t agree with me and yelled at me to hell and back about ir, saying it looked disgusting and asking why i hadn’t talked to her about the paints. When i told her i had and she had dismissed me, she just said "well it doesn’t matter, you shouldn’t have done this garbage."

One day they sent my friend to buy some peppers, he asked how much and they just told him "however much he thought was needed" and then yelled a lot at him when the amount he brought wasn't enough.

Another day he was tasked to send the costumes they used to be dry cleaned. When he told them he couldn’t because he had a court hearing that day they flipped out. He was literally about to face his abuser in court and these people were more worried about shitty costumes.

Anyways, i just wanted y'all to know this isn’t just a MrBeast thing, it’s a big youtubers' thing. People whose earnings come from YouTube are a fucking nightmare to work with and I hope i never work with any of them ever again

Hi I'm that person who made the original post about "no doesn mean no" when a small bit of the mr beast company document was leaked, well, now we have the full document (thanks rosanna) so I'm going to go over it. Please note I am not a lawyer or a business man, I'm in college for psychology, so I might misunderstand some things or make the wrong conclusion. However, if this is a document made for the average mr. beast employee, if I cannot understand it properly, then im sure some employees also struggled

First of all, the opening paragraph. Like I get it's supposed to be like, to put people at ease, but

This is so strange? Like, first of all, this is your EMPLOYEE MANUAL, you should have run it through like, a spell check? Or had someone edit it? This is already incredibly unprofessional. Also the promising of a thousand dollars if you pass a quiz on it? It's bizarre and I'd love to see if it's an actual quiz.

Jimmy, hun, please god get an editor for this you're already trying my patience.

YOU SHOULD, you genuinely should, while interconnected these are all COMPLETELY different jobs, if you think you could write a separate manual for each branch you SHOULD

I'm sure I'm about to get an answer but what the fuck is the best YOUTUBE video then? If it's not comedy, its not production, its not quality, its not look, then what the hell is left? (monetization, it's monetization)

First of all, Jimmy, why are you using internet lingo in this, it's not a text message, this is not a place for, idc, and lol, and not capitalizing your headers correctly??? Also like I said, he's chasing trends for monetization, and also he's just wrong, there are plenty of hollywood level shows and the like on youtube. You fully admit you do not care about trends and actively rush things?

This is just fucked??? Like of COURSE IT MATTERS??? Results based company is bullshit, your employees that worked for five weeks and failed aren't "lesser" then James, it's a structural failure! They still worked for HOURS to try and succeed?? That shows merit and loyalty??? What the fuck???

Rosanna covers this one in her video but it's worth restating that this is FUCKED??? It's clear overwork "your job is your family" culture. Especially the use of the word obsessive? If you do not OBSESS over your work, you are considered poisonous. NO WONDER we have so many reports of employees doing things they feel is dangerous or unsafe, if they don't they're considered POISON to the company.

The formatting in this doc continues to fucking kill me, what are you DOING man GET AN EDITOR

This feels like such an easy fix of just...make the thumbnail after the fact? Or only make a rough draft of one first? Like if production makes a red bouncy castle instead of a yellow one, that feels like an easy fix to the thumbnail OR a communication error, and again, that's on management

A lot of the next stuff is like analytics stuff that for the most part I can't really speak on as someone who does not do any of this stuff. There are a few things though

Which like???? what??? a lull??? what do you mean "watching a video without even realizing they are watching a video??" That doesn't scream good or even mediocre content to me. If I'm actively tuning out as I watch a video, that's bad. Especially because there have been plenty of times I've been like half way through a video i go "hey this sucks actually" and click off. They actively want their audience to not be paying attention to the video so it runs all the way through, that's kinda pathetic.

I don't actually know if this is common or not in this industry, but as an outsider this seems INCREDIBLY micromanaging to me, to an immense degree.

Jimmy why are you putting swears in your employee manual?? sir??? and also something about this whole thing icks me out, I don't quite have the words but the whole emphasis on "im different im special no one else can be me" just reeks of something kind of manipulative

Why is production changing so much Jimmy??? Infinite growth is the mindset of a cancer cell Jimmy! This is incredibly unstable working conditions! Also again with the word obsession, if you take time out of your own day on your own time to watch hulu, that's seen as not being obsessed enough for the company. This is nonsensical!

Again, this is INSANELY micromanaging, and also so fucking unhinged??? "God himself couldn't stop you from making this video on time" is NOT a healthy work mindset, things HAPPEN!!!

In this segment he's actually talking normal things but I did just want to highlight his use of "freaken" who the hell puts that in an EMPLOYEE MANUEL

Again with the micromanaging, and the immense pressure on employees for problems OTHER people do. While he's not fully wrong that you should be in more contact with the contractor then the example, this is too much in the other direction. How much time in the day does he think people have?!

My kingdom for a fucking paragraph break dude, my fucking eyes. Also this is a lot of "im so great and do everything and you should do more for me and if i dont know something that's your fault" for something titled "I am not always right"

I'm getting lazy with my highlighting, but again, the micromanaging? If you're SOOO busy, the first question should be the ideal? it's quick and makes a quick decision, while the second one meanders and meanders

Again, Jimmy is pushing blame for HIS mistakes on OTHER PEOPLE. For again, a section called "i am not always right" hes taking NO accountability for that and just making the SAME excuses he's berating in other places.

SECOND of all the fact he thinks its okay to go "hey if the studio is literally on fire around you and you stop working to get the Lamborghini, you're not doing good enough" even if he claims it as a joke is NOT OKAY what the FUCK

We've covered this before, but to reiterate this segment is named after a sexual assault reference when it could have been named ANYTHING ELSE and harasses employees and pressures them to break rules, don't do that.

I'm not an editor, so maybe this is normal, but as someone from the outside it seems strange to put this much emphasis on dividing focus between so many videos at once.

First of all it's really funny seeing all the red lines pop up, second of all this insistent blurring of everyone's job seems so strange? Again maybe this is normal, but it really feels like Jimmy wants everyone working every job, instead on focusing on what they are actually hired to do.

"this is youtube and there are constraints. You know the video can’t be a minute so you’re obviously going to need a story to hold the viewers and there are rules to storytelling. Our audience is massive and because of that you have to be simple, for 50 million people to understand something it must be simple. Content can be anything but there is structure and rules that we must mold it into that I want to teach you about, because virality doesn’t just happen. Every frame of our videos will be seen by 10s of millions of people"

Mr Beast is completely aware of his demographic and puts screen shots of it, he is very aware his stuff is aimed at kids, even when its about gambling or hiring people not around near minors

More favoritism
