Anyone else up thinking about Ratio's big, strong, secure arms and how warm and all-consuming they could be in a hug or embrace. :/ Anyway

I just wanted to draw them being cute and seizing a sliver of a moment where they could have some PDA silly time without actually having any eyes on them. They're public figures and working adults with very clear boundaries between public persona and private life (to varying degrees of "in a sad way"), so while it may be in Aventurine's nature to constantly blur lines for various agendas and self-preservation (read: play "the flirt" without an aligned goal), I believe that in an actual relationship they'd be fairly private.

It's kind of fun to break your own rules, though! Ratio would be more upset about the consequences, though. He's a little bit of a hypocrite, which is devastating for someone of such discipline, but nobody's perfect.

I'm of the mentality of, "If you're tired of working on it, then just post it!", so here are some fun peripherals that I didn't feel like adding:

Some staff in the background sweeping up to evoke a blended sense of fragile privacy and liminal time.

A laptop on the aquarium/bar/counter because there's something fascinating about seeing people on their work laptops in public.

Gotta feel bad for Epic The Musical Odysseus because he did NOT get warned about eating Helios’s cows and instead got a vague (if incredibly catchy sounding) prophecy song that made him spiral.

Why does everyone keep saying Telemachus is a teenager? That he’s just a kid??

I’m honestly?? Baffled?

The man is at least 20 years old??

All I can find on Telemachus’ age before Odysseus left for war is that he was an infant. Google’s shit though so maybe there’s an exact age listed somewhere that I’m just not finding in my cursory search. I did however see a few people claim he was two when Odysseus left and to be fair, “infant” is an unclear term. I personally wouldn’t assume an infant was two—I’d guess under a year old—but technically speaking “under the legal age of majority” is a valid definition.

Odysseus was gone about 20 years as stated in the original Odyssey and Epic the musical. Telemachus says so himself in Legendary that it’s been 20 years.

Telemachus, as stated previously, is around 20 years old, possibly older given the vagueness of “infant”.

Odysseus was king of Ithaca and headed off to war about that age. Telemachus is not a child.

I know Epic portrays Telemachus as being a kid, but he is a grown adult. In fact, a good chunk of the original story is about Telemachus searching for his father by going on his own voyage. Odysseus’ journey home is actually told as a story later on in the books by Odysseus after escaping Calypso.

You know, I see people say Odysseus sacrificed six men because if he hadn't they would've all died. I don't think that's true. Scylla had six heads, so six men were going to die regardless. Odysseus was just making sure he wouldn't be one of them.

Ok so like I know we are all talking about god games, but here is my personal take on apollos verse.

1. There is an origin of sirens that has them be the former friends of Persephone (who were nyphms) and were tuned into sirens for failing to protect her.

2. Apollo was a suitor of Persephone, and there is a chance he may have known some of the nymphs that Odysseus killed.

Basically I think Apollo kinda felt bad that they were cursed, for something they could have never reasonably done (fight hades). It’s easy for Athena to convince him because he never really would have known them, and Athena’s argument is sound.

On top of that, the Trojan war is a whole can of worms and I think that sticking to what we know has happened in the musical makes it’s easier to digest, a lot of people are having epic be their first viewing of the odyssey, so I think it makes it’s a better viewing experience.

Anyways I love Apollo, playing his part on repeat.
