now knowing there are 3 versions of cassius (MINIMUM) that exist is so fucking dangerous. like i know the nature of comics is that the character's don't need to stay STRICTLY consistant but i feel like... for the fun, i need to make the 3 different versions of him i know solidly exist substantial, but because i'm me (and there's something wrong with me) i'm like getting way too deep into the metatextual nature of 'okay well how would this era of comic books handle cassius spare' and not only is 'the era of comic books' in any time period AN EXTREMELY BROAD AND VAST TOPIC FOR EXPLORATION, BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW I'M HANDLING HIM... BECAUSE I HAVEN'T EVEN READ MOST OF THE SOURCE MATERIAL I'M ATTEMPTING TO REFERENCE. which like the obvious answer is 'i have a lot of reading to so' but the answer i'm gravitating to is 'fuck it we ball' because i feel like i need to get SOMETHING out of me.... BUT THAT MAKES THE PROCESS UNSATISFYING TO ME. I LOVE THIS THING I DO TO RELIEVE STRESS THAT I ADD COUNTLESS STESSERS ONTO. ARENT I HAVING FUN

i would love to know ur dickhelena thoughts that might be controversial actually… i recently finished a bunch of huntress reading so she’s been on my mind a lot
Idk maybe the most controversial thing is how much I care about the two of them as a pair. I think their friendship is more compelling than Dick and Babs as a relationship or Helena and Babs (whatever tf you’d call what they have going on). And I just wish that we’d gotten more of Dick and Helena together, I feel like their dynamic had so much meat to it. There was so much to dig into that was never full explored. And I think leaning into it would have been good for the development of BOTH of them as characters.
I’m not saying I think they should be a couple, but it makes me sad that nobody seems to care about them as a pair. There are so many Dick Grayson fans and I feel like a large portion of them barely know who Helena is. And Helena fans generally don’t seem to give a fuck about Dick (correct me if I’m wrong, that’s just based on my observations… also fair enough). But they make such interesting foils and you could do so many different stories with the two of them and their opposing viewpoints. And it’s always more interesting than pairing Helena up with Batman because Dick and Helena actually seem to care about each other on a human level and they have this unnamable tension between them that I think works so so so well.
Tumblr media
The dynamic I’m talking about is pretty contained to the 90s through to 2011. Dick and Helena’s dynamic in Grayson is fun but it also feels like both of them (but especially Helena) are completely different characters there. And to be completely honest I don’t know a lot about what their relationship looks like since Rebirth.
What I wanted from them was for their relationship/friendship/working partnership to get the breathing room to stretch and grow. I wanted it to be painful and sweet and difficult. I wanted their chemistry, their similarities, and their camaraderie to MEAN SOMETHING!! And it was pushed aside by people like Chuck Dixon who were very very keen on pushing Dick and Barbara as a power couple (Nothing against Babs, I absolutely adore her. Really don’t like DickBabs tho) I also think a lot of writers at the time disliked Helena so they did their best to make it seem like she meant nothing to their precious Nightwing.
I think they work better as friends than as a couple. They’re both quite uncompromising characters with core values that don’t line up. It could be interesting to explore a romantic relationship between them, but anytime that’s been done it just feels… off to me. I don’t mind the sometimes sexual aspect of their relationship, it works for me sometimes, but at other times I do think it feels a little bit forced (Devin Grayson why is Helena randomly shoving her tongue down his throat). Anyway.
Dick can’t love certain parts of her, (her willingness to kill bad people). Helena can’t love certain parts of him (his rigidity, to put it lightly). And I think what they both need is a kind of freedom they’ll never be able to find in each other. It’s crazy because both of these characters have a sort of wild and free personality at times but neither of them are free. Helena is bound by the memory of the slaughter of her family, her old mob ties, her guilt, her compassion and hatred in equal measures, her religion, Batman and Gotham. Dick is bound by his love for Bruce, the shoes he has to fill, the version of himself he needs to live up to, the version of himself Bruce imagines is real, the weight of all the people who rely on him etc.
There’s this dedication and commitment and fervor at the core of both of them and they’re both orphans and they’ve both experienced so much violence and they both have a chip on their shoulder about Batman and yet they have so much to argue over it’s GREAT!!!!
Anyways love them a lot ok byeee!

If you had to use one word to describe each of skz’s dorm mates dynamic living together what would it be? I feel like some of them would be super chaotic and others super chill (Felix and seungmin lol)
Used the 3rd Eye Tarot. I didn't do the one word thing cuz I'm too lazy to get my creative juices going so i just did a short reading on it:)
*For entertainment purposes only!
Tumblr media
SKZ Dorm Pair Dynamics
Chan + I.N - Knight of Cups, 10 of Pentacles, 5 of Swords
They keep their interactions at surface level. As long as they do that their co living goes well. Since they have quite different visions on the world and just overall. They don't see eye to eye and never will - as in u will never see the world the same way your grandma will right, cuz both of u are from different generations. U still love her tho:) as long as y'all don't go into too much depth. Same goes for those two.
I think if they spend too much time together and go to deep in their interactions they'll get pretty pissed at each other pretty quickly😅
I'm also seeing some love stuff going on in there so someone might be inviting their love interest over there.
Lee Know + Han - 6 of Wands, 2 of Wands, Ace of Wands
Very active dorm.
Both of them interact a lot with each other and have plans for places they'll go visit, food they'll try, hobbies they'll do together etc.
Changbin + Hyunjin - 4 of Cups, King of Wands, Death
A funny mood overall.
But actual jokes and fun actually just happen on occasion. Not all the time.
This is a bit difficult to decipher to be honest cuz im not picking up on a consistent energy.
Thats why i think they have like phases (?) they go through. So if they have a lighthearted phase they joke and have fun together.
But then they go back to their hermit mood and each one goes into his own world and hivernate for a while and have their own small rebirth, and then when they're done with that they go out of it and have fun and interract again.
I think thats not something they really are conscious if. If you were to ask them i think they would tell you they're constantly together and having a blast. Cuz those hibernation phases they have, tho long, i think for them feel like one afternoon or something like that. So for them it feel like they're constantly having fun together cuz its like the hibernation phase doesn't count, its like sleeping😂
Felix + Seungmin - The Devil, The Tower, 7 of Pentacles
Honestly seeing those cards scared me a bit, i thought this dorm was gonna be the most lighthearted one but it seems like the heaviest most strained one.
I think each one's in their own world and they have little to no interactions. Each of them works in themselves and their own stuff.
Idk if its something between them that has happened, or one of them had a really nasty experience that they are preoccupied with.
I think one's just minding his own buisenss, not engaging whatsoever in the drama of the other.
While the other is sunken deep into his own suffering and filth and despair.
Its giving victim complex tbh.
Im seeing strong mental health issues. And toxic ways of handling himself and the situation. With every step he tales he sinks more and more into it.
And the whole tragedy thing - i don't think it really exist(?) its more like in his head than in reality. And he brought it on himself (thats why the other one doesn't seem to care that much, im getting the vibe of putting his hands in the air cuz he thinks the other one's just a hopeless case and he should learn to deal with it by himself), from lack of boundaries.
I wasn't planing on saying who it is cuz its none of my business but ya'll already know I think it's Felix so I'll clarify that based on this current energy, and the energy I've sensed from felix before i assume its him. I haven't specifically read about that/ confirmed it with the cards. And i don't intend to do it, cuz i just think we shouldn't stick our noses everywhere. I think the cards just give out enough energy/info for us, and i pick on just as much as i should. If something isn't confirmed by itself, i don't like pestering the poor guys and harassing them to tell us.

How do you think Tim and Cass would get along?
Which is the better sibling pair: Tim and Cass or Steph and Jason - WHY?
plz just give me fluffy Tim and Cass working together okay I have read exactly two (2) comics and I have watched SOME young Justice and I have read so many angst fics all I want is for these children to be happy
Sorry it's taken so long to answer this, I got carried away and kept rambling haha.
Tim and Cass in canon is so interesting because it starts out with Tim being Tim, more than a little wary and judgemental because of Cass's past. But he actually owns up to this, apologises for his biases, and asks Cass if they can be friends. And they are! Fresh blood is where they're front and center, and in batgirl volume 2 he's the one most supportive of her, along with being the one in the family to reach out to her after Bruce dies and the one she clearly is closest to in Gates of Gotham. But what really makes Tim and Cass for me are all the little moments in canon where they're Batgirl and Robin and they're not even the main focus of the story, but their sibling twin menace energy is off the charts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just little moments of their teamwork really cemented their bond for me. To me it's like... More than any other batgirl and robin duo these two should be almost creepily in sync. Batman says "Team assemble." and they drop down from their various hideyholes in the roof with perfect timing. They could be having a fight that very day and not a single criminal would know if from the way they bounce off each other in combat.
But as well as that, they've seen each other at some of the lowest points in their lives, and been there for each other. The loss of Steph, Tim's dad, Cass getting brainwashed by Slade, Bruce's death. They never had to be the first priority for each other to still end up on the list of people to take care of and I kind of love that. The reassurance that no matter what happens with all the other important relationships in your life, batgirl and robin will always have each other's backs, in whatever way they can.
For me, they're the better sibling pair to Steph and Jason because Tim and Cass do actually have a solid arc you can trace through comics, even despite editorial having it out for Cass at certain points. There are comics and storylines you can pick up and see them acting like siblings even before Cass was adopted.
Whereas with Steph and Jason it was all about the potential, and still kind of is tbh. It's about Bruce projecting Jason on Steph and Steph dying as a result, it's about both of them being familiar with taking care of an addict parent, it's about both of them knowing how much a loaf of bread costs, it's about how they were let down by people they trusted and how Bruce (thanks to the writers) puts both of them down to uplift Tim, it's about their attitude to killing and to criminals and how death changed both their perspectives permanently but in very different directions.
But the issue is that they started interacting during the new 52 where all of Steph's history had been erased and Jason had been defanged off screen into a batfam member. And then from rebirth onwards they suffer from a similar issue a lot of batfam relationships do, where instead of developing the bond the writers just go yeah this is how they interact now. How did they get close? How come they trust each other? Idk, it just happened.
And this is not unique at all to Jason and Steph nor does it stop me from enjoying their interactions, but it does put Cass and Tim on top for me.
And now, for more fun Cass and Tim panels from Red Robin, featuring Cass vs technology:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(OK the last one doesn't look fluffy but you gotta understand fake murdering each other is their favourite form of enrichment)
Tumblr media
They're unhinged your honor.
Thanks for the ask!

3 CHAPTERS BACK TO BACK?? BRO CHILL I DIDNT EVEN SEE THIS GET UPLOADED HOLLON-
idk if this was intentional but I find it cool to think plastic surgery is like the human equivalent of a vampires rebirth. yknow how when someone gets turned they have to adapt to a whole new body, I think quinns visits to plastic surgeons is him taking "playing a character" to a new extreme. he stalks people beforehand so he knows exactly how to act to get his hooks in them. and ofc ofc changing his appearance to keep authorities of hiss trail BUT LIKE HES SO FUCKING GRIMY IM FREAKING OUT
and him coming from a wealthy family was really unexpected but it works well with his sense of entitlement, and the money coming from a company that sells shit to slow aging💀💀 LIKE THE VAMPIRE PARALLELS ARE EATINGGGGG
and again!! ben coming in was really unexpected!!! but in the best way, I love how you tie all of these characters together it makes the space feels so alive. but like I'm trying to figure out bens motive here, is he doing it out of fear of quinn? telling all of this to sweetheart knowing it's all for nothing and they've got no shot of catching him, which is why he showed them his scars? or did he show them because deep down he was rooting for them and hoping that, even with his limited information, they would still succeed AAAAAAA IM SO EXCITED TO SEE HOW THIS UNFOLDSSSSSS
"you knew what it felt like to be stabbed" me too bestie I happen to be a fan of tumblr user us3rnam3-r3dact3d and his evil little stories
AND YEAH HE TOOK THE TASER LIKE IT WAS NOTHING BECAUSE WHY NOT, GIVE HIM A BUCKSHOT TO THE CHEST I BET HE'LL LIVE
hey stop making me like colm a little bit
so do I loooook likeee hiiiiiiiiiiimm
GREEGGG!!!!!!!! I AM JUMPING UP AND DOWN WITH JOY!!!!! i love how you're giving every character their moment
we are, in fact, really in it now and i am sooo ready but I also want this to go on forever
10/10
-🦀
I have been powering through these chapters the last we days! I live in the south and we got snow so my work has been out for most of the week. Plus, I think my self imposed week of no writing really got the juices flowing again!
CRAB ANON YOU SEE THE VISION!! I find the like delaying aging and staying young forever by never being in the sun and going into cryo chambers and doing crazy stuff like that very creepy. The pursuit of youth at all costs is just... wild to me.
YES Quinn's plastic surgery IS a forensic counter measure!!! Omg I'm so glad you picked up on that!! It's also a vanity thing, am appeal to his ego to remove every imperfection he sees in himself, and a way to appeal to a wide variety of victims. It's all SO SLIMY!!
Ben was a spur of the moment choice that I'm really happy with!! We'll hear a bit more from him later on, but suffice it to say that his motive is definitely out of fear. He wants Quinn put away, but he's disillusioned at this point at the likelihood of it. He's seen him get away with a lot of heinous shit. And he knows what happens to people who get too close to catching Quinn, and he knows what Quinn does to people who betray him.
Happy to be here stabbing you guys! It's fun as hell.
Yeah, Quinn's crazy pain tolerance and pain kink come to save him again. I got my info on tasers from a cursory google search, so it might not be accurate 100%, but it works for the content of this world. SOMEBODY shoot Quinn point blank I'm begging at this point.
Oh Colm!!! Listen, Colm is not 100% a good guy. He still deeply struggles with his addiction. But he loves his kid, and he loves Sweetheart. We're actually going to dig into his relationship with Milo in the next chapter!!!
Greg!!! I love him. I know we've heard from him one entire time but UGH I love him. He'll probably make an appearance a little later on. Fun fact, Ansel is an Internal Affairs agent and he heard Colm's call over the radio. He called Greg right away and Greg, who is the fire captain of the 7-30, decided to tag along personally with his ambulance crew to make sure everything was okay. Since all firefighters are required to be paramedics in California, he's perfectly qualified!
There's plenty more to come! Hopefully I can keep you guys on your toes!

what is your personal rating rebirth so far out of 10? (at the chapter you’re currently on)
Well, I'm only about 10% into chapter 3 in the mines and tbh so far I'm not impressed.
The graphics aren't that remarkable when you think about all the games produced now. FFXVI had stunning scenery too and more detailed rendering.
I think the thing that's grabbing all these reviewers is the comparison to OG. Which is stupid because that's a nearly 30 year old game. Ofc Remake is better looking.
The combat is good, but tbh they're starting to put too much into it. We've got blocking to activate synergies, but only some of them because the others are through the menu and you have to stop to see if you can use them rather than go through short cuts. Then there's the regular abilities and then you've got magic, limit breaks and so on. It's got cluttered. It's like they wanted to do combos but didn't want to put them in the regular ability list. The way Yuffie and Sonon did it was better.
Then you've got transmuting shit you pick up on the road, which is boring and I hate it. There's sp and weapon adjustments which is pointless and makes no sense after Remake had a better version. And the skill tree just sucks. Aesthetically it's ugly and messy, and the way it works is just awful. Idk who made that, but it's bad. I hope they don't use it in part three.
There was too much filler to do in the grasslands, and saying we can go back whenever doesn't negate that point. There's just too much boring filler shit to do at the start of the game. The sidequests were fun, but all that activating towers and following birds was boring AF. It was just a way to fill in the map.
The story is fine, but as I said I'm down a mine, so I haven't got far.
Tbh so far I'd only give it a 6/10 and most of that is because Tifa's in it 😂

Hey there
Hi, this is my reintroduction to tumblr (kinda).
I go by May on the internet, it's some weird nickname I made of my real name and goes back to my first gamer tag on minecraft...
I'm currently 22 years of age, which sometimes makes me feel incredibly old on the internet? At the same time I seem to come across many other people my age who go through very similar struggles as me lol
I curretnly work fulltime as a waitress. I'm European so I get paid a proper wage there, and the work with my coworkers is very fun and comforting. I'm not always the biggest fan of other people, but being a people pleaser and having the ability to hide my true personality behind a "nice" facade makes my job possible and bearable. (jk aside, I really like my job)
Hobbies include:
reading (I always say that, but I barely ever pick up a book. Just spent most of my early teen years absolutely ramming through a shit ton of books. I still really enjoy reading, but I barely find the time to do it. My tbr list is endless)
gaming (I'll dip my toes into anything that's not an ego-shooter, my PS5 is one of my most treasured possessions)
watching movies (last year I dragges either my sister or one of my friends to the theaters at least once a month. Doesn't mean I'm a movie critic or anything, but I really like watching movies and I might just share some takes on it on here)
anime (just a select few, the most famous ones. Life's busy when you have a fulltime job and still have other hobbies, but I'm currently on my first watchthrough of One Piece! Will definitely post about this from time to time)
listening to music (realizing I have very basic hobbies bc my parents never urged me to pursue anything specific when I was a child, but anyway: I will listen to almost a bit of anything, but Taylor Swift and Ghost were amongst my most streamed artists on Spotify last year. Do with that info what you will)
writing. I did start with writing fanfiction, first harry potter, then boybands, then kpop, then anime. Most important to me was always my original idea though. I know many people have things like this. A few years ago I thought I'd actually go with trying to publish something. Now I have revised and rethought the whole thing. I barely write, but it's still in the back of my head all the damn time. I always think about writing, but doing the actual thing rn seems impossible.
As I'm writing this I realize how pathetic I feel doing this, beacuse I have this awful feeling no one is gonna respond and I'll end up regretting this so much that I'll delete it. Thank God the internet gives me the opportunity to be anonymous.
Anyway, the previously mentioned hobbies lead to my (current) interests that I'll most likely post about, so if you're into one or more of these things as well, let's chat!
in terms of games: Currently playing through Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and generally FF7 is probably a huge hyperfixation of mine and has been for years. I've just arrived in Gongaga on my playthrough and I'm loving all of it. The game caters to all the expectations and interests I have in games. It's just so insanely beautiful and makes me tear up every couple hours idk
on this note I'd like to mention that I dipped my toes into FF14 but since I only play on Playstaion now, all the commands are overwhelming to me. I'm definitely planning on playing FF15 and FF16
Kinda cringe but I swear I'm normal: Genshin Impact. Have been playing since early 2021, once had a pretty unhealthy relationship to this game, but I was mentally not doing well during that time. Having a fulltime job changed my perspective on the game. Now I'm a casual enjoyer bc I love the open world and characters, and I love to get into the lore, so I might post a few theories and stuff on here
On that note: Honkai Star Rail. Same company, but it took me way longer to get into the game. Really enjoying it now though, although I am struggling with a bunch of battles. Save to say, I am NOT playing the game for the meta lol
One Piece! As mentioned, I started my watch of it last year in summer just before the Netflix live action came out (work bestie talked me into it). I'm quite literally at episode 500 rn. Had to stop for a while at around Thriller Bark bc the first few episodes didn't quite do it for me. Now I try to watch a few episodes before sleep everyday :)
Other anime that I am different levels of unhinged about: Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Bungou Stray Dogs, Demon Slayer. The basics, I know. Just don't have the time to watch a lot while other life stuff happens, you know. OP is the main thing rn, and until I am kinda up-to-date with that, everything else will have to wait lol
In terms of book stuff I must admit I keep going back to communities and fandoms I was a part of when I was a teen lol. This largely refers to stuff like Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugho, The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and All for the Game by Nora Sakavic
Right now though I am more interested in reading some classics and other stuff. Read Britney Spears' biography last year (within the span of one day, I wanna add), currently I'm reading a chapter of Crime and Punishment once in a blue moon. I'd like to read more stuff like that in the future, but everything at it's time ig
Other fictional universes I was once quite unhinged about: Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. Both communities are kinda dead atm though. I'm still in the process of reading the books (which means I last picked them up over a year ago. But believe me, I'll get there, eventually.... someday)
In terms of music as I said I listen to almost anything. Not a lot of rap and techno, though. I like stuff with lyrics I can sing along to and feel deep within my bones. I wouldn't call myself a "fan" of any particular artist, I was very unhinged about musicians as a teen and I have learned my lesson. Now I just listen to the music without caring too much about the artist themselves. I used to really like 5 Seconds of Summer as a teen, then I moved to Kpop. Now I barely keep up with either but just listen to the stuff I did back then
I think that's basically it for now? The most important parts about myself. Stuff I like to talk about, so if you like some of this too, maybe come talk to me? I wanna get to know people here after all, and I have learned this is probably the best way to start.
I don't have many conditions for friends tbh. I'm 22, so anything between like 19 and 26 or so is fine as long as the vibes are good :) I don't care about genders and all that, personally going by she/her. I'm a Taurus, in case someone wants to know. Last time i took the test I was an infp-t (still think it's pretty accurate but it's been a few years nd I heard that test isn't as accurate? idk)
Other things you should maybe know is that English is not my native language, so excuse any mistakes you might come across lol. I dropped out of university. My profile picture kinda captures my most basic features.
Anyway, feel free to hit me up, I love talking to people on the internet and I really look forward to this reinvention of my account here and actually talking about my interests and reposting stuff I like :)
If you have any questions, just ask!
Until then,
May

Playstation State of Play 9/14/23
So, back on 9/14/23, Nintendo was not the only big time gaming company to have a showcase, no, Playstation followed suit with a State of Play. Got say, as much as I don't have a PS4 or PS5 and don't plan on getting one, this showcase was far better than the Nintendo Direct that took place on the same day. Here are the games that got mentioned in the State of Play:
Baby Steps: A very weird looking comedic kind of game seemingly about a guy that has trouble walking for some reason? Idk, looks stupid to me but an interesting idea none the less. Fairly certain this one will be on PC and Xbox also.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord-A pretty interesting a fun looking game for the PSVR2. Again, not something I care about personally but, not something I had seen or heard about before this showcase. Will be on PC and Xbox as well.
Resident Evil 4 VR Mode: If I had the RE4 remake and a VR headset I would totally try playing the game that way as it looks really fun. I know for a fact this will also be on PC.
Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways-A DLC for a remake of game? I mean, I guess if they want to but, that seems a little bit odd to me. This was not apart of the original RE4 but whatever. Looks fun and interesting either way and I'd play it if I owned the RE4 remake but, I don't have it yet. Yes, this will also be on PC and Xbox.
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora-I have yet to see the second Avatar movie and I saw the first so many years ago but damn, from what they showed, this game looks pretty awesome. I know it'll be on PC and Xbox and I may wishlist it when it does come to Steam.
Ghostrunner II: I have yet to play the first one but, this looks like a pretty cool game to me. Maybe sometime I'll pickup the first one and give it a try. This will also be on PC and Xbox.
Helldivers 2: I have never played the first one but, from the pictures and videos of the game on its Steam page, the first one was a top down shooter so it's interesting to see that this one is a 3rd person shooter. Tbh though, this one doesn't really interest me all that much. Will be on PC and Xbox also.
Marvel's Spider-Man II: This one looks so awesome. I know that it'll be exclusive to the PS5 upon release but, hopefully like the previous two Spider-Man games, this one will eventually work its way to PC because I'd love to play it.
Tales Of Arise: Beyond The Dawn-I have never played a Tales of Arise and therefore I do not personally care about this game. It will be on PC and Xbox as well.
Honkai Starrail: Yeah, another one that I personally do not give a crap about. Just an announcement that this is coming to PS5 since I believe it is already on everything else.
Foamstars: To me, this looks a lot like Splatoon and yeah, I don't really care about this one. But, this will only be on PS4 and PS5.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Yes, the closed their showcase with the second half of the Final Fantasy 7 remake. But, personally, never played an FF game and I couldn't care less about this one. Will also be on PC and Xbox as well.
Now, I know what you're thinking. I grilled Nintendo for only have seven first party games in their direct compared to the 19 3rd party games and that I am going to grill Playstation for only having two 1st party games but, you'd be wrong. Like, outside of Honkai Starrail, I had not really heard or seen anything on most of these games until this showcase so I don't mind that a lot of them are not specific to Playstation consoles. But, again, I think that this showcase was far better than Nintendo's and that Nintendo could learn something from how Playstation does their State of Play showcases.

100 acre wood (chain of memories Sora): A tier, I actually quite like the balloon minigame, the rest are alright I guess
Hollow bastion (chain of memories Sora): C tier, it’s cooler than the Disney worlds.
Twilight town (chain of memories Sora): A tier, GODDAMN this might be the coolest world in the game I love how it’s drawn not from Sora’s memories but from Roxas’ I love how the party go “well we can’t remember it but that’s probably just castle oblivion being castle oblivion I wish I could’ve been a fly on the wall of a kingdom hearts fan playing through com for the first time and entering twilight town and losing their mind.
Destiny islands (chain of memories Sora): A tier, this was when the gameplay actually started being fun, the piano cover of the destiny islands theme is beautiful, and makes you just on edge enough to feel like something is wrong.
Castle oblivion (chain of memories Sora): I want to put this in S tier so badly. It’s the most fun area to actually play, it’s challenging, it’s a 13 (ish) room gauntlet, the atmosphere is the best in the game and the blocky aesthetic actually works unlike all the other worlds because that’s just how castle oblivion is, but I think the boss fight only being axel just slightly bumps it down to A. It is still a chain of memories world, so it’d have to be perfect in every other way to get into S. But I was really hyping myself up to fight marluxia then it was Axel and I had to wait to fight Marluxia. And then I was just dumped back into the level? I saved but there aren’t any other special rooms so do I just… find marluxia? Idk. Technically I haven’t finished it but I think A tier is what I’ll give it.
Chain of memories wrap up post tomorrow, then I can FINALLY start reverse rebirth. I think I’ll enjoy it more as the deck building was kinda my least favourite part of CoM (I started having fun once my deck was solidified and I could just whale on things). I didn’t actually watch the cutscenes for it unlike sora’s story so it’ll be all new content for me! Excited!!
I should start doing a tier list of kingdom hearts worlds across the series
So far:
S-tier: Traverse town (KH1) (one of my favourite worlds in the whole series, it feels like home)
A-tier: Destiny islands (KH1) (I love destiny islands but they aren’t really an actual world… more the tutorial. Very good tutorial! But still), wonderland (very good world!!)
B-tier: agrabah (KH1) (would be A-tier but half of its bosses are awful (genie jafar and pot scorpion are two of my least favourite bosses in the whole game) and the others are just alright)
C-tier: deep jungle (not a bad world, but not a good world either. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t enjoy my time there)
I haven’t beaten Olympus (KH1) but it’s either A or S tier. Mainly just deciding whether to include the cups or not. The world alone? A-tier. With cups? S-tier. I also haven’t beaten 100 acre wood (KH1) yet but it’s easy S-tier, maybe even S+? Idk I’ll think about it.
Projected rankings for kingdom hearts 1:
Halloween town: S
Monstro: B
Atlantica: A
Neverland: A
Hollow bastion: S
End of the world: A or S. leaning towards S.

so wtf is up w obito's height?
Tumblr media
(aka how tf is that a 1 cm height difference, kishi?)
(aka just working out the inconsequential detail that is Obito's vertical reach, compared to which perhaps only the Narutoverse continuity is more elusive...)
(just putting it out there for other obito simps to stress & mull over i guess lol)
so i randomly recalled some funny posts from ppl who hc Obito as the Tallest Uchiha™, being a whopping 6'3" while the other men of his clan are around 180 cm
and at first it seemed like just another canon?-what-canon? hc bc per the databooks he's 175-182 cm (whatever that hyphen means...)
and sasuke's adult height is also 182 cm, while madara is 179 cm (basically the same?), so
so much for "tall obito" hcs?
but... what if we doubt the databooks?
(wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong compared to canon manga content...)
let's say 175 cm is Obito's height at age 14 / 15, which turns out is quite normal for an Asian teen male, and would make sense because when he faced off with Minato, who is 179.2 cm, they seemed about the same height
let's say he uses henge (transformation jutsu) to keep appearing this height, even as he grew taller—bc he was supposed to be fully grown Madara and not a kid with the longest cosplay gig, going through puberty while managing a criminal organization and all that
(it's sorta a running joke by now: "pain & konan not noticing obito getting taller is a plot hole"—but maybe obito simply used henge, hence, no plot hole after all?)
so is that the reason for the hyphen? obito pretends to be 175 cm tall even into adulthood while his real height is 182 cm? (6ft tho, not 6'3")
but then i thought of that nigh-iconic panel of Obito & Kakashi, where they are drawn clearly from head to toe, standing side by side
(this was the only panel i could think of off the top of my head that you can use to compare obito's height)
now, Kakashi's height is 181 cm; this is purportedly consistent in the databooks, through parts I & II (makes sense since he's introduced as an barely functioning adult and has no reason to hide his height, unlike obito)
so obito should be, as far as we can see, practically the same height as kakashi.
(who can even detect a 1 cm height difference?)
if anything, thanks to kakashi's floofy hair, kakashi should appear taller than obito
but in this panel, obito seems to be taller than kakashi—by more than just 1 cm.
in dumblingo (only language i speak rly), i'd say he's about... a forehead taller?
Naruto - Chapter #666
aka srsly, how is this a 1 cm height difference, kishi?
Tumblr media
yellow lines: obito's head
red lines: kakashi's head
you can see that the top of kakashi's head (ignoring his epic floofly hair) only reaches the base of obito's forehead
(thanks to black zetsu we also clearly see the top of obito's head without (spiky) hair length muddying things up)
and kakashi's chin is just above obito's shoulders / clavicle
blue line: kakashi's shoulder
you can see that the line of kakashi's shoulders are lower than obito's—they're practically at obito's pecks
(i went by kakashi's left shoulder but you can see his right one also doesn't reach obito's, and it's worth noting: kakashi there is wearing a pretty thick protective vest / flak jacket, while obito is completely shirtless)
green line: their feet
aight idk how to calculate angles / perspectives n all but it should be fine to just go by their heels where you can see their foot flat (horizontally) on the ground right?
anyways...
it would make sense for obito in this panel to show his real height (as opposed to when he's method acting as madara or sth), because, to name just one reason:
he's had the jūbi ripped out of him & been forced to perform rinne rebirth (among other fun things, like losing his heart and having his throat slashed)—basically surpassing everyone in the Narutoverse survival olympics
so at this point, he should be way past wasting chakra for a henge, hence, this panel should be the most accurate reference for obito's height
and, based on this canon manga panel, he should be well above 181 cm—certainly more than the databooks' 182 cm
Tumblr media
left: obito's tallest possible height per the databooks
middle: kakashi's height
right: what obito's canon height is more likely to be, based on that panel of obito & kakashi in chapter #666
in conclusion:
canon obito should be closer to 6'3" or 190 cm (6'3" is apparently 190.5 cm) than the databooks' reported max height of 182 cm
and since manga canon trumps side content like the databooks, lemme validate the hc crowd and say...
those hcs of obito being 6'3" are more accurate / canon compliant than the databooks' 182 cm
(or maybe i need better glasses, idk)

Empires Worldbuilding
The Empires brainrot is real lately, so here, have some worldbuilding that came to me when I was trying to make angst:
The Empires world is filled with a bunch of different types of nature spirits. These spirits tend to stay in certain areas and tend to do their own thing for the most part, but they are willing to help the people living in the world with certain things if it benefits them in some way. I don't really have any specific ideas for Joel, Pearl, Joey, and Gem, but I have ideas for the rest that I'll go through in some detail. Idk much for the jungle yet, and I'll have to see how Joey's series progresses, but the jungle is full of life, full of growth and death and rebirth, which is why spawn is there, why it still has the bones of an old civilization that is once again starting to be populated by people.
(this one is kinda iffy imo but) the ocean spirits are generally happy with the ocean as it is, but they also kinda desire the ability to change and grow and adapt. When Lizzie comes along and starts setting up the beginnings of her kingdom, the ocean spirits see the opportunity available. They can use the infrastructure that Lizzie has put together to grow and change, in return offering Lizzie citizens to fill her realm and warriors to protect it (the villagers, the axolotl golem, her axolotl knights).
I'm thinking that the spirits can also change people over time too, so as the ocean spirits get closer to Lizzie and help her expand her kingdom, she begins to take on some of the same appearance as her citizens, the ocean spirits sometimes deliberately helping it happen so she can more effectively rule her realm (axolotl Lizzie go brrr). The main spirit in the flower forest is the Overgrown (or maybe it's more a collection of spirits that exists and acts as one being). Katherine settles in the area and is called by the spring, a slightly lesser spirit, to protect the Overgrown and help it prosper. in return, she is able to use some of the bountiful life that springs from the Overgrown, using it to make her kingdom look more beautiful and to forge and maintain peace with the lands around her.
As time goes on and Katherine becomes more familiar with the overgrown, the animals and plants become almost attuned to her. She tends to have flowers and vines woven through her clothes and hair, and it isn't unusual to see her surrounded by various animals while tending to her lands. (I also want to incorporate some sort of faerie type lore into Katherine's area but I'm still working on that)
(warning for mentions of death in the next paragraph or two, for any who want to avoid it. nothing specific, and it's not any of the empires members)
(adapting some ideas a friend had here) The swamp doesn't really have any major spirits inhabiting it, and I'm still figuring out what the ones that do live there are like, but it is full of the spirits of the dead. All of these spirits died at different times and for different reasons, but they were all drawn to the swamp and reside there long after any trace of their previous homes is gone. These spirits don't want much, mainly just company and peace for as much of their eternal lives as possible. When Jimmy first settles in the swamp, it seems to be empty of any sentient life, but as time goes on he begins to see the ghostly forms of people long dead and he begins to be able to hear their voices. The first spirits he's able to fully see are a group of children playing in the water with the cod. As more and more spirits appear to him and he gets to know them, he starts working to help them. He does his best to stay on peaceful or friendly terms with the other kingdoms so his land and the people in it can live in peace.
As time goes on, Jimmy starts to look like part of the swamp in a way. It isn't unusual to see him covered in slime and seaweed after playing with the children in the water, and sometimes he has vines woven into his hair, or a crown made of sticks and mud atop his head.
The spirits of the desert are quiet and unmoving, happy to stay where they are and watch the world change around them. Pix is one of these spirits, though he took a more human form long ago because he was curious about the people living in his land and watching from afar wasn't enough. Now, the people he used to be a part of are long gone, and he's left alone in the remains of their once great empire, watching over the world as it changes and keeping vigil over the other empires, still occasionally venturing out to get a closer look at the surrounding lands, and bringing goods to help them when he does.
Now, Pix is also a dragon (because dragons are fun), and though he exists in his human form more often than not now, he still occasionally stretches his wings to fly over the desert, stirring up sandstorms in his wake. He still burrows under the sand sometimes, looking to nap in the warm dunes, and he still hoards copper and emerald ore, using them to ornament his buildings when he isn't able to ornament himself with the treasures as he once did.
(I gave Scott a bit of a corruption arc because they're fun I guess idk) The mountains tend to be populated by wind spirits, forever moving and forever free. Their main desire is for more land to fly over and explore, and they see a way to achieve that though Scott. They offer him the freedom of the wild mountaintops, away from people and connections that could tie him down and cause him pain. As time goes on and Scott starts to hear them more clearly, they begin to tell him that having too many connections would be bad. According to the spirits, alliances are good, since they would mean that other empires wouldn't encroach on the mountains, but actual close friendships would just trap Scott in obligations and promises and do nothing but hurt him down the road. They tell him to expand the borders of his empire and give himself more space to roam free and do as he wished, as well as provide a buffer between him and the people who could hurt him. (I'm thinking that 3rd life ties into this, and after loosing Jimmy in that series, he's afraid of being hurt in that way again, which is why he listens to the spirits)
As time goes on, Scott becomes more cold, both in personality and physically. He extends nothing more than basic pleasantries to the people around him, maintaining alliances but that's it. His skin grows paler and cold to the touch, and his hair grows lighter, starting to look more like frosted ice than the rich cyan it had been before. His fingers and ears also grow kinda blue at the tips and he finds he's sometimes able to manipulate the flurries of snow falling around him or ride the winds across his growing empire.
Fwhip settles in a plains biome and not long after, he comes across the spirits of the stone and darkness, who tempt him with glowing redstone and promise him all the riches held underground and the power that could come with them. Fwhip, having spent most of his recent time alone in a hardcore world, is maybe a tad bit paranoid, and takes these spirits up on their offer, thinking he can use the riches underground to build himself and his people a beautiful city, and to make armor and weapons and trade offers and alliances to protect himself. However, in agreeing to the deal, he gave the spirits a connection to work with and they began corrupting him, making him treasure the dark deepslate and shining redstone even more, convincing him that the heads he mounted around his base were his citizens and friends, that he had to expand his empire and gain more power, or it would all be taken from him. Over time, the corruption starts to take a physical form, and not just in the land that grows darker as redstone-laced spires emerge from the ground, deepslate making it's way through the grass. Fwhip's eyes begin to take on a red tinge, glowing slightly like the redstone he cherishes so much, and his skin starts to appear grey in patches, matching the darkstone consuming his land.
So yeah, worldbuilding
Feel free to add on or whatever if you want I guess

Dream SMP Species headcanons!
The kind of Species I make the dsmp people in aus, some have multiple I tend to switch between! :D  (more info about hybrid types at the bottom) Dream- Nothing but a human with a god complex (Tho sometimes Dream currently is not in his body, and a Dreamon is wearing him like a cheap suit)
DreamXD- He’s a god of the server that took a similar shape to Dream, and is tied in with Dream’s admin powers. Exactly what or who he is is unclear but he’s… there.
Sapnap- Half Demon, some kinda fire or nether related mob hybrid, sometimes a Blaze!
George- Brown Mooshroom hybrid! Sometimes either a witch hybrid or a nymph as well
Awesamdude- Creeper Hybrid
Sam Nook- It's actually just Sam, the mask he wears malfunctioned when he started to work with Tommy and it was both so hilarious and brought Tommy such joy, it became a bit between them. Nowadays it's like, an unspoken thing they don't acknowledge the fact they both know it's Sam. It's a way for them to pretend everything is okay and for Sam to ignore his guilt over his actions while he ‘looks’ after Tommy :)
Ponk- Human
BadBoyHalo- Demon
TommyInnit- Latent hyrbid. Normally some kind of Bird Hybrid of some kind (going between some kind of normal bird of prey not chosen as of now, a Thunderbird, or Phoenix!) But I'm also very fond of Fox, Wolf, and Ferret hybrid Tommy too!
Tubbo- Ram hybrid, though Bee hybrid is very cute too!
Fundy- Fox shifter and half nature spirit/demigod (depending on what Sally was!), which is why he aged so strangely.
Punz- Human
Purpled- Human
Wilbur Soot- Human! Though iv made him a fish/mer/siren hybrid before but i think fox or even a wolf hybrid would fit too
Jschlatt- Ram Hybrid Shifter (his full form is his little Ram dude. His hair color is actually naturally white like Puffy’s but he dyes it brown, when it grows out it makes it look like he has silver hairs)
Skeppy- Diamond hybrid (I imagine he’s some kinda like, diamond gemling or golem? Idk lol)
Eret- He’s either a reincarnation of Herobrine, a descendent/child of Herobrine, or a Herobrine hybrid (making herobrine a race sounds fun), also wither hybrid is neat!
Jack Manifold- Human/Demon? (after his death?)
Nihachu- Human!
Quackity- Duck hybrid (though, iv saw a very cool hc where he can shape shift via magic magical masks and I am looking)
Karl Jacobs- Human
HBomb94- Human
Technoblade- Piglin Brute hybrid Shifter, the brute part is one of the reasons he’s so violent.
Antfrost- Cat hybrid (shifter? perhaps!)
Philza- Bird Hybrid, specifically a Eurasian Hobby (but Crow philza is pog too!), Semi-god of Death/Death god’s champion
ConnorEatsPants-?̸̠̘̯̠̥̙̘͈̽̽̽͆̓̈̏̉ͅw̸̱̟̱̅ĥ̸̯͕̞̬͌̉͒͝͝ͅa̸͚̲̋̇̈́̒̏͆̃͠t̸̳̀̊̐̌͂̾͑ ̷̯̒̈̈́̀͐̑̅ĭ̵̩̻̭̯͍̓̿̿̊̚ṡ̴̥̠̹̩͖̋ ̴̜̙̈̑̽́̚ḥ̶̡̖̙̗͖̝͑̍͋̎͊́͘ė̴͕̟̩̰̝͕͔͍̫̽͊͒̋͊̎͌?̷̱̗͕͓̠̳̼̘̂̄
CaptainPuffy- Sheep Hybrid
Ranboo- So Ranboo, for me, is a human, enderman, AND shulker hybrid! (50% Human, 33.3% Enderman, and 16.7% Shulker.) and because percentage doesn't really matter to how much someone presents or looks like their hybrid, that's why he looks so enderman and barely any shulker traits are shown. (Also fun fact, Ranboo’s human side is albino!)
Foolish Gamers- Was a Shark and Totem Hybrid (the Totem part was because of a family curse he suffered before being turned into a Semi-God of the Ocean) (note, is not a god of death, or life, he’s only sensitive to rebirth and resurrection because of his Totem-ness)
HannahxxRose- Rose Nymph
Slimecicle- Slime Hybrid ~ Latent Hybrids are mob Hybrids who’s hybrid genes are suppressed and dont show ANY SIGN of being a hybrid whatsoever unless a either very stressful or life threatening thing happens, so their body unlocks and unsuppressed the genes in an attempt to survive. This causes the player to rapidly grow said attributes of their hybrid side to match their actual age (so they wont have baby features like small ears or tails or wings when they are a full adult). Latent hybrids can go their entire lives not knowing they have the potential to be hybrids. Hybrid shifters are hybrids that, instead of being a physicals mix between their mob and other side (of which they can look like more then one or the other, or a perfect half and half), they are able to shift between the full mob form, full their other part (human or otherwise depending) and a form in-between (or even multiple in-between forms!). Hybrid Shifters are very rare. *note 1; mob hybrids include both animal mobs and monster mobs as well. *note 2; most hybrids are part human part mob, but other species (like demons, angles, vampires, sirens, orcs, ect ect) can also be part mob and thus hybrids as well.

Note
hello do you mind explaining all the amazons?
All of them????
Okay uh I'll break down the ones i at least know about anyone who's deeper into the WonderFam please jump in I don't really interact with them that much.
But we've got
Diana Prince: Wonder Woman
Our Golden Age Princess of the Amazons. During the Golden and Silver ages she came from Paradise Island. She was truly animated clay here and several hundred years old by the time of WWII. During the Golden Age Diana married Steve Trevor and they had a daughter named Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor. (My break down of Lyta would be an essay in itself and she's not really an Amazon so). Diana was a member of the JSA here.
During the Silver Age Diana also married Steve but no kids. She rescued Donna Troy from a fire and sent her to Paradise Island to be raised by Hippolyta making Donna and Diana sisters. This is the first timeline to mention Ares is her grandfather technically as he made Hippolyta. Diana lost her powers at some point. She got really really good at martial arts and then two years later got her powers back. She supposedly died during Infinite Crisis but then you know didn't. During Convergence she killed a vampire Joker. That was fun. In this timeline Diana was a founding member of the JLA.
Okay and post crisis New Earth Diana is the first one to say Diana is from Themyscira. It was still called Paradise Island sometimes. She was molded from clay. Diana in this time was not a founding member of the JLA but came to America after it was founded. (I think Infinite Crisis retconned her to be a founding member but idk) Diana has become a member of the Trinity alongside Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Superman (Clark Kent).
The Prime Earth Diana is the one from Flashpoint and onwards. She’s now the daughter of Zeus. In New52 if I recall right she was made much much younger like in her 20s and explored mankind in the modern era. The Doomsday clock thing reestablished her WWII origins. She was also said again to have been born during probably the Hellenistic Period (they said classical antiquity and that’s you know just a few thousand years) She just helped out in Death Metals and is now doing something with Infinite Frontier unclear I don’t really know what Prime Earth Diana has been up to lately.
So on Earth-Two, Earth-One, and New Earth Diana was the granddaughter of Ares and as such her life span was greatly extended. On Prime Earth as the direct daughter of Zeus she is immortal.
Donna Troy: Troia/Wonder Girl
Donna is a tricky one. She was introduced real quick to fill the girl role on the Teen Titans cause the boys were getting a little too gay. So started Silver Age Earth 1. Okay so basically her origin kept changing but the one that’s ‘canon’ is she was created to be a playmate for Diana but was abducted and kept being cursed to live tragic lives in New Cronus. Right around the Titans era okay Donna was rescued by Diana and brought back to Earth. Donna was the one to suggest the Teen Titans name. Donna is a member of the Fab Five along with Robin/Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Aqualad/Tempest (Garth of Shayaris), Kid Flash/Flash (Wally West), and Speedy/Arsenal (Roy Harper)
Donna married Terry Long when she was 19 and they had Robert, got divorced, they died in a car crash.
After Crisis on Infinite Earth Donna sorta realized all those ‘lives’ she led were other version of her which she was all of now. And also Donna was believed to be the Goddess of the Moon. She had to stop a sun-eater or whatever but failed (Hal came in with a clutch it it’s cool)
Donna also had to fix some shit during Infinite Crisis and ended up on a Universe Hopping road trip with Kyle Rayner and Jason Todd to find Ray Palmer for Final Crisis or something. She was killed by a Superman Android during the Teen Titans/Young Justice Crossover. (Edit thanks to that anon for this I legit couldn’t remember how she died)
And Prime Earth Donna was made to destroy Diana. She you know didn’t.
Look I’ll be real I know next to nothing about what the New52 tried to do with Donna. I just go by her original origins of being Diana’s sister.
On Earth-One and New Earth Donna’s life span was greatly extended and on Prime Earth she is stated to be Immortal as on Prime Earth Amazonian’s on Themyscira were granted immortality.
Nubia:
She is like Diana’s twin made from darker clay on Earth-One which is the silver age Earth. Nubia was actually slightly older than Diana but she was stolen as a baby by Ares who was going by Mars. Mars/Ares is Nubia’s grandfather and he wanted her help in taking down the Amazons. Nubia was raised on Floating Island (or slaughter island as Mars/Ares called it). Nubia fought Diana and hesitated to kill her leading to a draw. Nubia returned to Floating Island and at some point Supergirl had to save her life from poison of some sort.
On New Earth she went by Nu’Bia and was just a random Amazon, her job was to guard the Doom’s Doorway which is an entrance to the River Styx. She was not Diana’s sister.
On Prime Earth Nubia is the daughter of Hippolyta and the half-sister of Diana not her twin. Nubia went undercover pretending to work with Darkseid before Themyscira could recover and rally to fight. Nubia is currently the Queen of the Amazons. She was given the crown by her mother, Hippolyta during the Dark Metals event.
As with Donna on Earth-One and New Earth Nubia had a greatly extended lifespan and on Prime Earth Amazons are immortal.
Cassie Sandsmark: Wonder Girl
She is a New Earth entry who was for the new Young Justice team. She is the daughter of Zeus and Dr. Helena Sandsmark. Here as Ares is Cassie’s half-brother and technically the father of the Amazon’s this means Cassie is Diana’s great-aunt.
Cassie as a girl was able to request a Boon of Zeus who she didn’t know was her father at the time I believe and demanded real superpowers. Her mother Helena was able to turn off Cassie’s superpowers at the start as well. Cassie was trained by Artemis for awhile. Cassie became Wonder Girl in honor of Donna Troy who handed over her old suit. Cassie joined Young Justice as a teenager and would later be on the Teen Titans. Cassie has become a part of the Core Four for Young Justice alongside Robin/Red Robin (Tim Drake), Superboy (Kon-El/Conner Kent), and Impulse (Bart Allen).
Cassie’s best friends outside of the core four are Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) and Cissie King-Jones (Arrowette). Cassie and Conner Kent used to date as well and she was in love with him before he died during Infinite Crisis.
On Prime Earth Cassie is the daughter of Lennox and the granddaughter of Zeus. In this version Diana is Cassie’s aunt not the other way around. Cassie is still a member of the Young Justice team here. I don’t exactly remember what was happening during the New52. She was still Cassie unlike Kon and Bart who’d been replaced. But during Rebirth she went with the other members of Young Justice to rescue Conner Kent from Gemworld. She is currently still a member of the Titans.
On New Earth as the daughter of Zeus, Cassie is an immortal who would not age further once she reached her prime age (like 27 or so). On Prime Earth as the granddaughter of Zeus and the daughter of Lennox Cassie’s life is extremely extended.
Artemis Grace:
Artemis of Bana-Mighdall comes from a separate group of Amazons not on Themyscira or Paradise Island. Bana-Mighdall is a tribe of Amazons in Egypt who left Greece millennia ago.
On New Earth Artemis left her home at 14 and wound up working for Ra’s Al Ghul before returning to her home. There was a competition to see who would be the next Wonder Woman as Hippolyta foresaw Wonder Woman die and wished to spare her daughter the fate. Hippolyta ensured Artemis won the competition. Artemis was shunned by most of the world including the Justice League who refused to see her as the true Wonder Woman. Artemis was also thought to be too violent. Artemis would later die in a battle with a demon fulfilling the prophecy of Wonder Woman dying.
Artemis got out of hell eventually and was given the job of training Cassie Sandsmark by Diana and would later train Supergirl in combat as well.
On Prime Earth Artemis was raised being told she would be Queen of the Amazons. She was desperate to prove herself and wanted to be the Shim’Tar of the Bana Amazons. Artemis’ best friend and lover Akila was chosen instead. Without Akila by her side Artemis felt her home had nothing left to offer and set out on her own. She helped stop an invasion of Qurac into Bana as well.
Artemis then joined the Outlaws and worked with Red Hood (Jason Todd) and Bizarro, a botched clone of Superman.
On New Earth Artemis had a greatly extended life span. On Prime Earth he Amazons were gifted immortality but those who left for Bana-Mighdall lost this gift so it is most likely that Artemis has the same extended lifespan from New Earth.
Grace Choi:
Grace on New Earth comes from the same group as Artemis in Bana-Mighdall. Grace’s mother is an Amazon but her father was a Korean American. Grace grew up in America in the foster care system. She ran away at 9 but was kidnapped and sold into a child prostitution ring. She managed to escape at age 12 after her powers kicked in. Grace began fightining both for pay and for fun and worked as a bouncer at a meta club in Metropolis.
Grace worked for the Outsiders for awhile at the request of Roy Harper an ex-fling and good friend of hers. She helped rescue Lian from the same child protsition ring she was in as a child and generally had lots of adventures with the Outsiders.
Later it was revealed she had Bana roots but Grace refused to join them as they were currently you know sieging down the US. Batman was briefly worried about her loyalties but Grace proved she had no loyalty or ties to the Bana Amazons.
Grace has returned to the Prime Earth in Infinite Frontier and in Festival of Heroes and it seems like nothing has changed with her so far.
Grace has increased longevity of her life. She is listed as half-amazon because only her mother is a Bana Amazon but all Amazons only have their mother who are Amazons so I don’t really see why she isn’t a full Amazon. Anyways increased life span.
Jason:
He is Diana’s twin on Prime Earth. He was sent away cause you know no men on Themyscira. Jason was raised by Glaucus who was a member of the Argonauts crew and worked under the original Jason of Greek Myth. Who Jason was named for.
Jason was raised on the Aegean Coast by Glaucus and became a Fisherman. Jason was trained in his youth by his half-brother Hercules.
Jason worked briefly with Diana but wasn’t sure how to be a hero. There was a period where Darksied’s daughter tricked him but Diana talked him down. And Jason saved Diana’s life during the Dark Metals event.
He is currently in the Dark Mutliverse living with a boyfriend on the Aegean Coast.
As the son of Zeus, Jason is an immortal.
⚔️ Also for fun the Weapons:⚔️
Lasso of Truth: Wielded by Diana Prince
Originally imbued with it’s power by Aphrodite and Athena later after crisis forged by Hephaestus and powered by Hestia, this lasso forces the truth from whoever it has ensnared. It is indestructible.
Lasso of Persuasion: Wielded by Donna Troy
This Lasso forces someone to do what the wielder demands. This requires Donna’s or whoever wields the lasso to have a stronger will then who they’re using the lasso on. It is indestructible.
Lasso of Lightning: Wielded by Cassie Sandsmark
This lasso was created by Ares and gifted to his half-sister Cassie Sandsmark on New Earth. This lasso channels Zeus’ lightning and can make someone experience intense rage if they are caught by the lasso. The power of the lasso is directly correlated to Cassie’s rage levels.
Lasso of Submission: Wielded by Artemis Grace
Originally from Earth-3 this lasso has the ability to make someone obey any commands even those to inspire false love. After Superwoman (Lois Lane) of Earth-3 was killed Diana took the lasso and gifted it to Artemis.
Bow of Ra: Wielded by Artemis Grace
The Bow of Ra was a gift from the Egyptian sun god, Ra to the Bana-Midghall Amazons. This bow goes to the Shim’Tar and forges a special bond with them. Those who are not the Shim’Tar cannot wield the bow and further if you are not a candidate to be a Shim’Tar the bow will harm or even kill you. The bow requires intense willpower to use or it can drive the wielder mad. Akila was driven mad with the power of the bow and had to be killed by Diana and Artemis. It is said to have the power to destroy stars so this bow is incredibly dangerous and powerful if not wielded by the right person.
(Bonus Donna used to use a lasso that was golden but held no specific magical properties.)

i ain’t done anything for @tolkienocweek yet, mostly because my covid-induced neet-dom has decoupled me from any association with sidereal time and thus there’s no way i could guarantee getting something out on its specific day. still, i do have one character that could potentially qualify for day 3 (background characters) or day 4 (self-inserts), sorta. i’d like to introduce you all to the proprietor of the fëanorian ethics department, the as-yet-nameless fed elf
fed elf is a... moderately idealised self-insert of mine, though she’s taking on a life of her own
she’s also a noldo. of course she is
her Noldorin Craft™ is, as i’ve said before, arguing. she has very strong opinions about almost everything and will debate them at length
she’s moderately infamous for it in tirion
she’s especially fond of philosophy, in the ancient-greek asking-a-million-rhetorical questions style. what should we do? why do we do the things we do? why do the valar get to tell us what to do?
... you can probably tell which side of the fëanor/fingolfin debate she landed on, if it wasn’t already obvious
she’s not particularly close to any of the future capital-H House, but she is in their rough orbit. one of the miscellaneous guild trolls that form the rank-and-file of their initial expeditionary force
idk if she’s ~devoted to the cause enough to go to formenos, but when the trees get eaten and fëanor rolls up into tirion with the solution to all their spider problems, she is all for it
she’s a passing acquaintance of maedhros from those times when he’d show up in her guild hall for debate night, so she probably ends up with his crew, at least initially
... there’s a very good chance her first attempts at crafting a new noldorin ethical system happen on that horrible night aboard the blood-stained swanships of alqualondë
in any case, she gets good enough at murder to not die before the brothers hellspawn are divvying up east beleriand, and the formerly reasonably undelineated fëanorian host is splitting up into its various garrisons
most people stay with whoever they’re already riding with, but there are exceptions. she is one of them, as soon as she hears about caranthir’s Plans she immediately switches allegiance to the future lord of thargelion
he’s deliberately trying to set up on the trade routes! they’re gonna make contact with the dwarves! there are apparently trails leading over the blue mountains, links to communities of elves unlike she’s ever seen!
so many new people to argue with!!!!!!
so she heads up to lake helevorn, and helps with setting up the city. she winds up filling some middling role in east beleriand’s military bureaucracy, when she’s not on orc-killing duty
but her true passion is *~ethics~*
there is actually a practical component to this. due to Certain Events the noldor (especially the fëanorians) aren’t as-well suited to their pre-darkening moral codes as they might have once been
they need a new one, with contingencies for, like, murder, and all the other new situations they’ll encounter in this new world! the questions of what’s right and wrong have been blown right open, and fed elf is possibly the happiest she’s been in her life. they’re building everything else from first principles, why not this?
and the fëanorian host in aggregate does actually care about morality, even though outsiders never believe that. it’s what separates them from the orcs (in their minds at least); they’re doing everything for a Cause, not for destruction’s sake alone. say what you want about the fëanorians, their problem was never a lack of ideals
she gets people coming in sometimes, wanting to know what the right thing to do in a situation is. either that, or they think she’s wrong about something and want to explain why in depth, which is almost as fun
soon enough, there’s a small shop just off the main streets of lake helevorn called the fëanorian ethics department
(she’s the only one with a shop, but she’s not the only member of the host with Opinions. the guy on the other side of the market district whose system is fairly similar in the broad strokes but completely different in the details is her personal archnemesis)
for most of the first age, fed elf has it pretty good. by her standards, at least, and she’ll happily exposit at length as to why they’re the only ones that matter
the work on the system of ethics never quite stops, but it does slow down. she’s less prescriptivist than most noldor, so she does a lot of observation and interviewing and stuff, and also new things keep happening for her to cover, but she does manage to nail down the basics!
she does consultation, in varying levels of official capacity, but she’ll also just. answer anyone who comes in with a question. or asks one within earshot
it’s mostly noldorin fëanorians she has debates with, the sindar and atani generally prefer to ask her whatever they want to know with minimum fuss, but whenever she gets a real fight going they all join the crowd. watching fed elf argue with people is one of lake helevorn’s municipal spectator sports
she also has conversations with travellers! these usually start when some newcomer is staring in befuddlement at the sign outside her shop and she takes the opportunity to pounce
she asks them detailed questions about their own ethical systems, which she files away for potential future incorporation/argument ammunition. they fairly frequently ask questions of their own, most often variations on ‘you guys seriously have morals?’
sometimes this even turns into a proper ethical debate! these aren’t usually as well-argued or intense as the ones she has with other fëanorians, particularly if she’s not talking to a noldo, but when she meets someone who’s a proper match for her it is the highlight of her year
running the shop does generate a fair bit of paperwork she tends to be too emotionally invested in to deal with properly, so she hires help now and then. one recurring underling is a clumsy perpetually-ill atan who is nevertheless really good with the filing and holds fierce opinions of their own, even if they hide under the table whenever anyone so much as raises their voice
(that atan is me. much less idealised self insert)
like every other elf in the host, fed elf is still under arms. she has a unit, she’s part of the orc patrol rotas, when caranthir needs to do a battle she pulls her broadsword out from under her desk and reports for the muster. east beleriand is just a pretty violent place in general, and her most impassioned arguments frequently shade into all-out duels. east beleriand, where even especially the philosophers will knife you
but just like fëanor promised on tirion upon túna so long ago, she’s built a place where she can be the best version of herself, and she couldn’t be happier (marketplace douche notwithstanding)
like so much of the host, she has big plans for when they topple angband and reclaim the silmarils. it’s just, well
i am not entirely sure what fed elf’s fate is after the fall of thargelion. most likely she died at some point, because so do most of her peers and also because she has an aversion to cutting her losses that’s definitely gonna backfire sooner or later
it’s either that, or she abandons everything she ever worked out to flee over the blue mountains, or she sticks with the host long enough to see all their ideals and dreams burn to ash. out of all of them death is probably her kindest fate
if she does die - she’s definitely a kinslayer at least one time over, she is staying in the halls for a While. the local maiar completely stonewall her every time she tries to argue her way out, she has plenty of time to sit around and think
because yeah, the host’s century-long self-immolation has given her a lot to think about. she was wrong, it turns out, in several important ways, and from the outside she can see how much the ethical system she put her heart and soul into was bent towards destruction
if she ever gets out, it’ll be after a lot of self-reflection, a massive dose of humility, and her accepting her own small-but-not-insignificant role in the nightmare they created
the fëanorians as get let out of the halls of mandos are without fail less violent, more self-aware, and just generally more conscious of their actions than they were when they went in. fed elf is no exception to this
she’s also no exception to the rule that their time in elf afterlife therapy generally fails to lower their volume at all. soon after her rebirth, after some time spent rethinking her personal moral code, fed elf puts out a thesis as to why elwing’s refusal to give up the silmaril was perfectly justifiable under fëanorian ethical mores
this pisses off a measurable proportion of aman’s sapient population. soon the furious letters of rebuke are pouring in nightly
exactly. as. planned

3, 15, 19, 30, 36, 48 for the salty asks!!!
3) Who is your most hated comics writer? GEOFF JOHNS! The Parallax retcon alone is enough for me to hate him, let alone the mess he made of the Flash lore. Add in the fact he's genuinely a shit person and he's on my hit list. I also would kill Scott Lobdell and Tom Taylor in a heartbeat. 15) Tell me about a plotline that could've been interesting if anyone else wrote it. If Geoff Johns hadn't written Mick Rory's return to crime after his second time going straight, we could've gotten to dig into the way our society doesn't allow true reform for felons and the way the prison system ultimately pushes people back into a life of crime once they're released. Between the work already established by Infantino back in Flash (1959) about how nobody trusts Mick when he's genuinely trying to reform and Kesel CLEARLY showing the kind of bullshit Mick gets from heroes when he's just trying to help, I think there's a lot to work with! The way Guardian in particular talks to and about Mick while they work together is just awful! For Geoff Johns to look at all the material there is here and then just handwave away Mick's decision to quit the Rogues as just Roscoe fucking around in his head literally fills me with rage. Like? Why not go into how the Rogues are the only family Mick has ever had after his family's death? Why not go into the financial struggles felons have to deal with? WHY NOT GO INTO HOW MICK WENT TO LITERAL HELL AND THAT'S WHY HE DECIDED TO QUIT?! LIKE HOW AWFUL DOES CIVILIAN LIFE HAVE TO BE FOR HIM TO DECIDE THAT THE THING THAT GOT HIM SENT TO HELL SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA?! THERE'S A LOT TO WORK WITH HERE ABOUT THE AMERICAN PRISON SYSTEM BUT JOHNS SUCKS SO WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE ANY OF IT! 19) Rant about a change they made to a character of your choice. Okay this is gonna be a long one sad;lfkdsasda I've got a lot to say about the Rogues in general Leonard: When they stopped making him a hot mess of a person and instead started leaning into "oh he's calm and collected and he's always got a plan" they lost a lot of what makes him so fun. Like this dude is a hot mess of a person. He's impulsive and selfish. He goes back and forth between pushing away the people he cares about or being so overbearing and controlling they leave on their own anyway. He drinks too much and blows all his money. He really is just a regular degular deeply traumatized person with a cool weapon and a knack for engineering. That's the fucking point. (Also the way they just keep making him darker and grittier is killing me. What happened to his no killing rule? In what world would he be okay with hundreds of civilians dying so he can take over Central City? Idk who this bitch in Rebirth is but it sure ain't Len) Mick: See previous question. Lisa: LET HER BE UNHINGED AND VIOLENT AGAIN!
Tumblr media
LIKE WHERE IS THIS ENERGY NOW?! Give me back the Lisa who kept giving her boyfriends cold gun technology and calling them by the same stupid name. I miss her so much. Stop making her the voice of reason or whatever, it's more fun when the Rogues don't have one. Digger: Free my man from the Suicide Squad and give him back to his team. He's alright with the Suicide Squad, but he's way more fun playing off the Rogues. Mark: They didn't need to change his name to Marco in order to racebend him, the fact that they did so is just weird. Also racebending him and then changing his entire backstory so his brother was a drug lord instead of a scientist is just blatantly racist. Sam: I love the guy but I think bringing him back to life was a cop out. Evan had a more interesting backstory and a more interesting dynamic with the team at large. 30) What side character do you hate? My opinion might change when I get around to reading New Gods (1989) but just based off of her first appearance in New Gods (1971) #9 I cannot STAND Eve Donner asfj;lksdsad The way she talked about Orion was so fucking weird. I know part of that is that Jack Kirby wasn't great with female side characters sometimes (at least based on what I've read of New Gods and The Demon) but like, this one was a doozy lmao 36) What's the most uninteresting fact you've learned about a character?
Barry Allen has been meta-aware at least twice. 48) [X] should've stayed dead, let me explain. I think this one is a tie for me between Barry Allen and Bruce Wayne. Barry should've stayed dead because it literally makes zero sense for him to come back. If he wasn't Geoff Johns' golden boy, they never would've revived him. Barry dying during Crisis on Infinite Earths made sense both in universe and metatextually. Earth One started with his introduction and ended with his death, you can't get any more poetic than that. And now that he's back they don't even know what to do with him! They just keep giving him Wally's powers, personality, and friends (Like? Why are Hartley and Barry friends?!)! Just use Wally then! And Bruce should've actually died during Final Crisis and stayed dead because I'm sick of him <3

i would love to hear ab u and ur gfs theory of how termina works!!!!!
okay so a relatively common reading of majora's mask is that it is an allegory reflecting link's process of grief and personal growth. the impending demise of a world is reflective of link's experiences in hyrule after spending seven years in the sacred realm, the recurring theme of grief and loss mirrors link's grief over the time and people he lost, the horrific transformations are similar to link's identity struggles and his sudden transformation into an adult, etc. I really enjoy this theory personally because it makes the game and link's character feel extremely relatable to me. it also makes the more nightmarish and surreal elements of the game carry a lot more conceptual weight. trauma is horrific, especially if you are a child who has had to grow up way too fast, and it can make the world feel nonsensical and hostile as you attempt to process everything that has happened to you.
in this reading, termina is often taken as a dream realm. it's something that is thought to exist only within the confines of link's mind, and disappears once the dream ends, similarly to kholint from link's awakening. while dream worlds are a pretty well-established setting for allegorical character growth to occur, I find that idea a bit uninteresting. dream worlds are played-out at this point. you know what is interesting? the idea that termina IS a real world that happens to operate on very specific dreamlike logic.
we know termina is a world in decay. there is a history there, a weight of rot that has been generations in the making. the dead king of ikana sits on his throne. the turtle in the bay sleeps, blind to the zora's problems. the giants that once roamed this world walk no more. long before a skull child stole a demon's mask and a young hero tripped his way into another world, the land has been dying. even if the young hero is able to stave off the world's decay for a while, it's not unreasonable to assume the rot has progressed past repair. there may be an ending that not even link can delay for long.
and in the manga backstory for the origin of majora's mask, there is a monster that lives in the great desert of an unmoving world. time had stopped for it, but the world was not dead, not yet. a traveller is drawn into this strange world. he makes time move again. the desires of all the dead whom the monster had eaten are laid to rest. satisfied, the monster dies on the fourth day, and the world crumbles alongside him. it's a story we already know, perhaps. a cycle slightly changed.
and the skull kid is such a clear and obvious parallel to link. a boy from the forest, grieving his separation from his friends. according to navi, skullchildren may have been kokiri before they were lost and transformed into something else. he had a past, most likely. people he knew before his body was turned into something strange. he's from link's world, but seems to have visited termina before, long, long ago. did he have a reason for visiting it? or did he arrive by chance, the same way link did?
and we know termina is a land of masks. masks thag hold identity, secrets, self. the wishes of the dead and the living. link dons a mask and transforms into something unrecognizable again and again. the inhabitants of termina, who look so similar to the people link already knows, are said to don masks for the three days that span the carnival of time. it's tradition, they say. something important to them. yet link's one of the only characters who visibly wears masks. have the terminians forfeited their tradition?
or are the terminians already wearing masks that aren't obvious to link?
I think there's a cycle, one beyond the three-day cycle of the moon falling and rewinding. one much more cosmic. I think termina is a land populated by ghosts, a land constantly disappearing and reappearing. I think it readies itself for a newcomer. I think the inhabitants don masks - identities, even - to remind the traveler of whatever people they may have lost. i think the land itself wants to help them move on, and will create what it needs in service of that goal. it holds the travelers for a brief time, the span of a three day festival, and then lets them go. it'll draw the same traveler in again and again for other festivals if that's what it takes.
we have three implied stories. three travelers from hyrule.
we see those five children on the moon, the ones who look like the mask salesman beneath their masks. they live in an idyllic world, a world populated only by them, their masks of the giants, and majora's mask. children who aspire to be mask salesmen. perhaps that's how it was when the mask salesman first came to termina, when the land was far younger. he only needed reflections of himself to move past whatever he grieved back then. he moved on. the ghosts of his grief stayed begind.
the skull kid came to termina later. he befriended the four giants, the protectors of this strange land. but his grief had not settled. and so when the giants left him, a hint from the land signaling that he needed to move on, he rebelled, wreaking chaos. the giants cast him out when his time was up. the skull kid didn't understand, and was troubled by the seeming rejection. the land would draw him back in when the time was right.
there were probably other travelers. enough that their collected grief was enough to populate the land with ghosts. enough that the grief spilled over and filled the world with decay. the number doesn't matter. hopefully, the travelers were mostly able to move on.
then, link comes. he plays out the story we all know. he learns what he needs to learn, he grows as he needs to grow, and his story ends.
soon after, termina does too.
it's been too long. as said before, the decay has set in. no moon falls, but the ghosts disappear, one by one. with them gone, the set dressing collapses. the town, the wildlife, the plants, the land itself disappear. there is nothing but a flat void.
but we know the story of the traveler and the monster. the dead flesh of a world can become something new and powerful. the only thing that changes is the form. termina is a land of cycles, remember. this has happened before and will happen again. the land has worn many masks through its life. death and rebirth will force it to wear even more new ones.
death has always been just another stop in the cycle.
anyway that's my absolutely unhinged self indulgent rant with very little basis in canon <3 it's a fun theory to think about though so idk please enjoy it
