'The Equestrian NightMares' Album Update #2
Hey Everyone! I know it's been a hot minute since I talked about my new heavy metal album 'The Equestrian NightMares' I've been making since '22. '23 was a shit year for me and didn't write a single thing for the album. I just didn't want to give this album high hopes and rush it and make it badly so I'll be taking my swell time with album so don't expect this year (maybe next???). But I finally got this piece done by @apollos-daydream last month and it looks so GOOOOOOOOOD. Thank my girlfriend for idea on how the album art should be (Yes she will be co-producing the album with me on it. She will help with writing lyrics and make sure the album stays on track cause my adhd will want something else) I have had made some major changes to the album direction since this post. I know @luvtonique made LMR public domain and I don't blame them for doing so. They deserve to move on to other things and let someone else carry the torch that will be willing to be putting more time into the story. But that's not gonna keep me from making this album. Another change I made for this is I wanted Murdershy on this cover art but my girlfriend @noxs-mun & @chromaslip gave me feedback and said it might be too cliché for this album. I might have another piece done and have her in it. It's up in the air. You let me know your feedback. Adding AmnesiaShy to the art has given a more scary feeling to the atmosphere of the album. For those who don't know, This album will be a heavy metal album so if that genre isn't your thing then you can just ignore this. But if it is, then hey small world lol. This album will be heavily inspired and have the band called 'Ice Nine Kills' vibe to it where they take horror and make metal songs from it. (i.e. movies, literature etc etc) but with this album it's with grimdark ponies that I spent waaaaaayyy too much time watching these YouTube dubs of them This album will also be an 8-Track and if it does well then I'll make multiple volumes of them but let's not jump too far ahead. I'm just projecting cause I have a lot of ideas for new album but not a lot of money to make it happen. I haven't even got my featured artists lined up yet. I'll be in Delaware at Dewy Beach with Nox on vacation in May and maybe while we're chilling we might do some writing for the album. In the meantime, I have some family things and jury duty to deal with next month. I wanted to update you all on this and not think I gave up on it. Til Next Time ~Flare Flare The Rock Pegasus

This is just a list of music I think Patrick might listen to and some that l listen and think fit him. This is my first head cannon post but I want to start writing oneshots and fanfiction so we’ll see if I do this again. If there's anyone you'd like me to do let me know (: Warnings: Explicit music mentioned. Also INK has gory references and stories FYI.
Modernish music I think Patrick Bateman would listen to:
Lady Gaga- especially her Monster album. I think the possesive, sexual, devouring, themes he'd really like. I think songs that'd appeal the most to him would be Goverment Hooker, Bad Romance, Teeth, and Judas.
Ice Nine Kills- I.e. Patrick's horror movie obsession. If you don't know this band they base their songs off of horror movies and books, ( Hip to be Scared is based on American Psycho and is definitely one of my favorites(: ). I think this would be good workout music for him if his TV ever broke.
Imagine Dragons- Demon and Believer seem to fit with the (identity crisis?), he goes through the film and I think he'd like their music too.
Hozier- I think he ever got into a relationship with someone seriously, and they knew everything about him and still stayed, Take Me to Church would be their theme song. Also the overall band’s vibes seem to fit him.
I don't think he'd listen to these next two but I cannot listen to them without thinking of him so they're included.
City of Angels by Em Beihold - I think this song would be so perfect for a childhood friend who knew more of who he really was and how he felt about the people he worked with and they see him again years later and he's that shallow persona he hated.
Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons- This song reaks of his vibes. If you've never heard it, you got to. I think of him saying this to his inner child or something, it's just perfect. It's just the sort of Indie folk music I don't think he'd like.
Thanks for reading this! If you liked it let me know who I should do next(:

yennaia + gamer au
This was supposed to be three sentences and definitely not crack but I just had to... sksjsjssksjjs.
Yennaia prompt: Gamer AU.
LINK TO ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN IN THE REPLIES.
Word count: 1.8k+ Pairing: Yennaia. Rating: T.
Tissaia really had no idea why she was doing this. Perhaps to appease Rita. Perhaps because her addiction to nicotine had worsened over the course of one year of a bloody Continent-wide pandemic and she was loath to use her credit card every time she needed a new pack of cigarettes. Perhaps she was going through a midlife crisis to cope with the fact that being the Chancellor of Aretuza College was already stressful enough without half the generations there trying to fool her subordinates into thinking cardboard replicas or even mannequins counted as attendance or simply because the rest of the Board of Governors (Stregobor) couldn't differentiate between what could be said through an email and what required her to clean her entire house so the background of her call was pristine.
Her controller vibrated in her hands, (Why, for the love of the Gods, couldn't that setting be turned off?) her knuckles turning white from gripping it so strongly. "Oh, for fu- heaven's sake." There, she had been ambushed. Again. A funny and wholly unexpected thing happened, though, one of the users turned on her companions, offing the lot of them with clean headshots the brunette definitely couldn't pull off in the span of twenty seconds.
"Uhh..." What does one say when your virtual saviour just betrayed her entire party on a whim and was being cursed at obnoxiously loudly and vulgarly for it?
Yennefer ignored Sabrina calling her names that absolutely applied to her and her hormonal reaction to a lovely blue-eyed MILF the likes of which she had only seen in her dreams. "No thanks needed, love. I was getting tired of seeing you frown like someone had keyed your car every time you got killed. A pretty thing like you should only have cause to smile." Oh, Gods, now she sounded like a creepy old man that lived in his mum's basement. Great. Good job. Her Social Studies major was an absolute hit. Fuck her life. Fuck Oxenfurt College. And fuck Sabrina's witch-like cackling while she was at it. "Name’s Yennefer." She choked out miserably.
Tissaia scowled at her laptop. Hackers. Amazing. This was the best day of her new normal life. "Mind telling me how you broke through the most expensive antivirus in the Continent, dear? Because now I really need a refund." Now she also needed to contact Aretuza’s IT team on a Saturday night, because she was not about to mess any further with these blasphemous machines, thank you very much.
Wait, what? "That wasn't me... You left your camera on." The woman legitimately squealed at that, her oversized jumper sliding down her left shoulder and exposing just a glimpse of her collarbone as she pinned up her hair into a bun with... were those pens fashioned as swords? Oh, bugger, this was so not the time to get turned on! "Are you alright?" Mercifully Sabrina, Renfri and Phillipa were already accosting someone else, else she was sure the brunette would've completely lost it, more than she already was doing, anyways. "Hello?" No answer.
Tissaia was fishing for her boots when she started ranting, “Oh, don’t you worry! I’m fine! Just dandy! This is exactly how I wanted my life to go.” She motioned with her hand to the space around her. “I wished for nothing more than dealing with complete morons from nine to six, five days a week, whilst trying to make sure my sanity doesn't desert me.” Biting her lower lip for a moment she began checking that the ends of the laces were the same length when she pulled them up. “Running right after to my local grocery store to buy more instant meals that are probably going to give me cancer in five years if the bullshit articles my mother keeps sending me-”
Yennefer had told herself she wasn’t going to allow this wasn’t going to get any creepier than her misguided comment but she still had a gift code for that nice liquor store which conveniently had retailers popping up every six blocks everywhere for the last few months, especially in Thanned isle, only Gods knew why. “This bloody succubus of a twat that is my best friend has been forcing me to constantly use this cursed game by changing the password for my email and then Aretuza’s server and then-” Bingo. One text to Philippa and they had her IP address, with a mortified Triss already calling Jaskier since she was the only one that had managed to get a decent scholarship at that posh college.
This was her future wife who was about to jump from a bridge from the looks of her and they just had to do humanity a great service by saving her from herself and from sobriety.
“Can you believe that tosser? I am a lesbian! I spent my teenage years clad in flannel until my girlfriends staged an intervention kind of lesbian! Yes, Vilgefortz, I will sue you for harassment in the workplace and I will blacklist you. No, Vilgefortz, I don’t want to break quarantine to go on a date with you and I definitely do not want your disgusting cologne anywhere near my-” Tissaia’s head shot up, her doorbell was ringing and she pinched the bridge of her nose, reaching for a new, disposable, mask.
“You stay right there.” She threatened the girl, who had the most beautiful violet… Perhaps she really ought to let Coral get her a therapist. It rang again. “Gods-damn-it.” She thought.
Her plan was going marvellously. She would only have to sleep with a knife under her pillow for a few weeks for blackmailing Sabrina (Who honestly hadn’t the slightest talent to pass off plagiarism as a sudden stroke of genius in her final project without her aid.) into going along with this. The blonde was lighting the candles around the monitor without trying to burn her hair off and had given away her best bottle of cheap but still good wine for the cause. Thanks to Renfri and her frankly psychotic, owl obsessed, girlfriend she already knew what she would be replacing her trauma-ridden last name with! Splendid!
The brunette shut the door on Jaskier’s face after taking the brown paper bag from his hands, spraying the bottle of vodka inside it with so much disinfectant that it dripped down onto her carpet. Taking off her gloves and disposing of them, she grabbed a knife from the counter and ignoring the annoying blue light that came from the kitchen table, “Oh, shit. You’re soulmates. I’ll tell the rest of the girls we’re all fucked.” Tissaia cut off the upper part of the glass in one smooth hit, like Calanthe had taught her when the then teacher could still be considered fun by her groups of friends.
“Shut up, tiddybug!” She heard Yennefer sing-song.
Feeling like being crass the blue-eyed woman took a rather large swing directly from the bottle. Sitting back down, she sighed. Yennefer took a dignified sip from her wine; she could do balanced when her significant other to-be needed to let loose. “Did you like the bottle? It has good reviews from… wait a minute… apparently several alcoholics who don’t know what a budget is.”
Tissaia’s face paled. “I thought you weren’t a hacker.” The woman muttered. She didn’t fancy getting kidnapped and… No, no, no. Fucking Rita. What was the cost of moving, again? If she slept four hours less a day and split her cleaning time in two she could probably trade this house for Stregobor's in-
“I am not!” Yennefer cried. Bloody hell. “You just mentioned that you worked at Aretuza and-” Sabrina had probably started a group call and Phillipa was indeed hacking into her computer to save her arse. The Redanian was currently writing a script for her to follow. “Your username in the game is your surname. My friends and I tried to get into that school a few years back and I do remember that the Chancellor is a woman and that her last name is de Vries.” Her username wasn’t her last name, it was actually something that suggested she was an Ice Queen of the highest order. Queen Elsa from the movie Frozen would be intimidated kind of Ice Queen.
“Everyone is aware the highest-ranking members of the faculty live in chalets near the castle, pardon, the building.” True. According to Triss, that was a part of their contract that if unfulfilled prohibited them from working there ever again. To Yennefer that seemed borderline cruel, forcing them to be available at all hours like circus animals for juniors that didn’t deserve their spots.
“My best friend is a student there and she knows which one is your home because she wants to eventually be a teacher.” Partially true. Until that day came, Triss, like any rational individual, avoided the Chapter’s Village like the plague lingered inside, and wouldn’t be caught dead there unless she had to stop Sabrina from doing something stupid because of the anarchist phase she was going through. Jaskier was an acquaintance of hers of sorts because Triss had tutored his boyfriend Geralt in Biology and being daddy’s boy, he knew which one was Tissaia’s house because he had almost gotten expelled like fifteen times.
“I honestly just wanted to do something nice for you, you sounded like you needed it and… I know quarantine hasn’t been lifted once in Temeria since it all started.” Philippa wrote then that she would probably make for a decent actor without flashing her breasts to the audience every five minutes. She pursed her lips and replied in the mock post-it note to fuck off.
“I… I… Thank you. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have assumed- I’m sorry, darling.” Her pale cheeks flushed at the term of endearment that slipped her tongue and Tissaia bowed down her head, red-painted nails caressing the glass bottle almost reverently. “Say, why don’t you tell me what your email address is and I send you my mobile via chat? The explosions in the background aren’t that, uhm, comforting to listen to when I’d much rather be hearing your voice.” Should she have looked up she would have seen the smile that threatened to split Yennefer’s face. “Only if you want to, of course! I- what am I even saying? Never mi-”
“No! Wait!” She placated. Sabrina squeezed her shoulder as she went to retrieve her phone charger, offering her a genuine smile. “I’d love to.”
“Okay.” Said Tissaia, an awed sound leaving her throat when blue finally meet with lilac. Gods, she was drop-dead gorgeous. Rita could have whichever bottle, all the liquor she wanted from the school’s cellar for indirectly enabling this.
Was one week a proper enough courting period to then buy the engagement ring? Or should she just have Philippa get her the best, costliest one from that jewellery eshop they all liked through some minor fraud that would take her like half an hour at most, today? “Good.” Yennefer de Vries had such a nice ring to it.

18) “We all had our connections, but it’s not the details themselves that matter, it’s the feeling behind them. There are a million coming-of-age tales. Lady Bird’s secret sauce is how deeply its creator gave a shit. The older I get, the less I care about anything but the sense of a filmmaker’s personal connection to the material. It doesn’t matter what it’s about, what genre it is, or whether it’s genre at all. I only really care that it feels like something the filmmaker had to tell me, and that it was that filmmaker in particular who had to tell it. It has to answer the ‘why are you telling me this’ question, and not just why are you telling me, but why are you telling me.
Lady Bird is a movie that feels like only Greta Gerwig could’ve made. And it’s only because it’s so specific to her that it can be so meaningful to so many people.” - Vince Mancini

It yanks you out of your body and your mind and throws you against the wall. I have the feeling that drinking is a form of suicide where you're allowed to return to life and begin all over the next day. It's like killing yourself, and then you're reborn. I guess I've lived about ten or fifteen thousand lives now.” - Charles Bukowski
22) “You shouldn’t have to hear a band to know if they’re good or not” - Josiah Hughes
23) “I was raised by OGs. Some of you were raised by IG. I understand.” - Ice-T

24) “There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.” - Vladimir Lenin
25) "Taken together, this is a massive failure in leadership that stems from a massive defect in character. Trump is such a habitual liar that he is incapable of being honest, even when being honest would serve his interests. He is so impulsive, shortsighted, and undisciplined that he is unable to plan or even think beyond the moment. He is such a divisive and polarizing figure that he long ago lost the ability to unite the nation under any circumstances and for any cause. And he is so narcissistic and unreflective that he is completely incapable of learning from his mistakes. The president’s disordered personality makes him as ill-equipped to deal with a crisis as any president has ever been. With few exceptions, what Trump has said is not just useless; it is downright injurious." - Peter Wehner
26) "Epidemics have a way of revealing underlying truths about the societies they impact." - Anne Applebaum

32) “It’s like a power outage, but we still have power” - Ryen Russillo, on the pandemic
33) “Whenever Sox baseball returns, it’ll be weird to not have Farmer on the call any more. The relationship between a fan and longtime announcer is always built in the little moments. One afternoon, he’s the soundtrack as you clean the garage. On another night, he’s your bookmark for the game as you stand in line for churros or walk down the ramps at Sox Park to try for better seats in the 100 level. A voice like Farmer’s becomes so familiar that you only really notice when it’s no longer there.” - Kevin Kaduk, on the passing of Ed Farmer

My friend being and absolute angel and lending me a spare digital drawing pad for indefinite time so i can draw crappy things again
My vampire obsession slowly creeping back into the back of my mind and i’m so hapy about it
big lessons learnt in 2020:
I’m disturbingly unaffected in the long run for being almost completely alone for half a year, social distancing and keeping the corona-related curfew and other rules
My ADHD is definitely worse when my flatmate isn’t here to keep me in line
I’m still procrastinating way too recklessly and it should bite me in the arse soon enough
I’m way too much more of an asshole than i’d actually like to be so i really should work on that more than i already do
The past years i became more and more impatient and i have to work on that too
what you’re looking forward to in 2021:
Finally getting rid of universitiy for the rest of my life
Maybe being able to go to theatres again
Maybe being able to go to concerts again
ToA Rise of the Titans
Finally going home for a bit after half a year (in addition: maybe..maybe being able to meet my brother again later this year)
Tagging: aaaah i don’t know if anyone would want to do it? Maybe @isawhisperer , @nikibogwater and @littlerainsworld ? But no obligations as per usual of course! Or if any of you want to do this, feel free to @me because if i’d know you want to do it, i’d tag you!

You skipped into Natasha’s room with a smile on your face. You felt like you were on top of the world. Almost like you were on cloud nine. You were sure nothing could get you into a bad mood.
Natasha laid in her bed, flipping through a magazine. She watched as you passed her vanity, fingers brushing over her makeup brushes, her perfumes, and nail polish, as you crossed to the other side of the room and laid beside her, softly humming to yourself.
For a moment, she thought you were drunk. You always got lost in your own little world and forgot that people were in the room when you were drunk. Not to mention you were always extremely happy as you were now.
She ignored you and continued to flip through her magazine wondering if she should buy that coat she saw two pages back. That coat would really make her outfit she was planning on wearing for her birthday two months from now.
“Aren’t you going to ask why I’m so happy?” You turned your head to look at her and smiled. You grabbed one of her velvet pillows and hugged it your chest. You were still smiling as you laid on your side to face her.
She let out a fake annoyed sigh and you shoved her for it. She dropped the magazine onto her nightstand and turned on her side to face you as well. “Why are you so happy, Miss Y/N?”
You giggled and talked in a hushed tone as if it were a secret. “Well, Miss Natasha, it’s about Bucky-” before you could continue, Natasha groaned. She couldn’t wait until the day that you and Bucky finally get together. All she heard was Bucky this and Bucky that and from Steve who told her Y/N this and Y/N that from Bucky. The two have been trying to convince the both of you to just admit your feelings. “No listen, in the mission that we went to with Sam, we had like two extra days to kill since we finished it early and the jet wouldn’t pick us up until two days later so the three of us were just hanging out and somehow we’re friends again? I don’t know, but he wasn’t being a complete jerk like he has been the last couple of weeks. But anyway, we’re going to hang out tonight!”
Natasha nodded and mirrored your smile. She was glad you were no longer trailing after her like a lost puppy. Natasha loved you, you were like her little sister, but she was relieved to have this Friday night to herself. “So, what’s on the agenda for tonight?”
You shrugged and got comfortable in her bed. You threw the blanket over your body and sighed. “Maybe a movie? He mentioned wanting to go see this new movie that just came out. Maybe we’ll bother Sam a little too.”
Natasha stifled a laugh. Messing with Sam was like yours and Bucky’s favorite past time. Well, it was mostly Bucky doing more of the bothering and you would giggle and only seemed to encourage him more (much to Sam's dismay). “So like a date?”
You shook your head and rolled your eyes. You were trying to dismiss her words but Natasha didn’t miss how you blush and smiled softly. “No, not a date. Just hanging out. Like we always do.”
Natasha nodded with her eyebrows raised and a teasing smile. “Whatever helps you sleep at night, Miss Y/N,” she replied and turned around, her back to you. She pulled the blanket off your body in the process and wrapped it around herself, “Now get the hell out of my room, I’m taking a nap.”
You laughed and shoved her shoulder a little, “Alrighty, Miss Natasha, see ya later.” You got off the bed and took her velvet pillow with you, she already too many pillows anyway and you walked out of the room leaving her to nap.
****
Natasha sang along to the song playing on the speaker. She had the whole floor that she shared with you and Wanda to herself. So she took this rare moment to her advantage. The music was on full volume as she danced around the kitchen on your floor.
She had her whole evening planned out. She was going to watch some movies, maybe make a face mask, definitely take a nice bubble bath, and steal that new nail polish Wanda bought last week.
She was going to full advantage of this night. She had a mission next Tuesday, a dinner party tomorrow for someone’s birthday in SHIELD, and for Sunday, Wanda asked her to go shopping with her.
As the popcorn popped in the microwave, she could have sworn she heard a door open and close but over all the noise she was making, she thought she was just hearing things. Wanda was going out with Vision and you were with Bucky - she didn’t expect neither of you to return until way past midnight, like you both usually do.
So she kept on dancing along to the songs playing on her speaker. She bobbed her head along and grabbed a cutting board, a knife, and some fruit. She did not plan on leaving her room until the next morning so she was all kinds of drinks and snacks into her bedroom, never once considering the stomach ache she would suffer through tomorrow morning.
As she prepared her snacks and drinks, she set them on a tray one by one. She disconnected her phone from the Bluetooth speaker and made her way to her bedroom. She has been planning a day like this for a while now. Originally you and Wanda were a part of this plan but since the two of you were going out, she decided to have a night to herself.
But as she entered her bedroom, her evening plans flew out the window. Her heart dropped when she saw you laying her bed, tears threatening to fall, and your head laying on the velvet pillow. You gave her a sad smile and your eyes fell onto the tray in her hands. “Mind if I join?” You said just above a whisper.
“Please,” Natasha replied and set the tray on the nightstand and sat beside you against the headboard. You didn’t hesitate in abandoning the pillow and laying your head on her lap. “Want to tell me what’s wrong?”
“Boys are dumb,” you mumbled and tried not to cry. You felt her fingers begin to run through your hair, the sensation relaxing you in a way. She shifted underneath you and when you looked up, she handed you a Red Vine which you took with a soft smile. “I’m swearing off men.”
“Date gone wro-”
“It wasn’t a date!” You cut her off and took a bite of the Red Vine and choked back a sob. “Bucky Barnes is canceled.”
Natasha pinched the bridge of her nose with her free hand before taking a deep breath and asking what’s wrong. She swore to herself she was going to kick that man’s ass after tonight for making you cry and then yours for pining after the wrong man. “We made plans, Nat! He picked the movie we were going to watch so then I chose where we were going to eat after and he promised me we’d go buy ice cream at the park after.”
Natasha nodded along, “So far so good. . . Go on.” She continued to run her fingers through your hair as you chewed on the piece of candy and stared at the wall.
“Well, I was getting ready and everything and then I was going to the lobby with Wanda and Vision and after they left, I waited like maybe ten minutes before Sam came in through the front door. And he told me Bucky went on a date,” you choked at the last part. “How did he get a date so fast? He had sent you a text just two hours before you were supposed to meet up.”
Natasha sighed and pushed your hair out of your face. She really was going to kick his ass now. “Boys suck,” Natasha tried to reason but the truth is, she didn’t know what to tell you to help make you feel better. She hasn’t been heartbroken before, or at least, not in the way you were right now.
You laughed softly and wiped at your tears, “Easy for you to say.” You lifted your head from her lap and looked at her nightstand. You arched a brow and looked at Natasha, “Is that Wanda’s nail polish?”
Natasha looked at the lavender colored nail polish and shrugged, knowing that Wanda was going to be annoyed by Natasha taking her stuff without asking. “So, what are you going to do about Barnes?”
You shrugged sadly and leaned against the headboard beside her. “Two could play his game,” you replied and pulled the velvet pillow back onto your lap. How you were going to give him a taste of his own medicine was beyond you.

Game of Thrones: The Verdict
I really liked it
The last season…sucked
I’m now a little less fed up with the comparisons of Black Sails to GOT. Obviously Black Sails is superior to GOT and also every other show in the world, but the reason they get compared isn’t just that they’re both dark-’n’-edgy shows with lots of sex set in an old-timey world. Well, maybe that is the main reason people compare them, but it’s not the only reason to compare them. They actually have a lot of the same themes. How do you change society? Is it even possible? How much bloodshed is acceptable in the service of a good cause? How does injustice get upheld? How and why does society vilify inconvenient people? What’s the point of stories? I kinda want to do some comparison gifsets one day…
More on this later probably, but I feel like the terrible writing of Daenerys’ arc mirrors the terrible writing of Morgana’s arc on Merlin.
I’m positively reeling from how many main characters were killed off in the last season. I would guess that the first seven seasons averaged maybe…four main character deaths per season? Five? But in the six episodes of season eight, we lose nine main characters: Jaime, Cersei, Daenerys, Jorah, Missandei, Varys, Theon, Melisandre, and the Hound. It’s like the writers had too many characters to deal with and figured the easiest way to deal with having to wrap up so many characters’ arcs was to kill as many as possible.
Watching the finale was super interesting because I had actually seen it already. I watched it when it first aired, despite not having seen the rest of the show except the first couple episodes back in 2011. The thing that stood out to me most the first time was that the finale was a lot happier than I expected. Which I still think is great! It’s great to end on a not-entirely-bleak note! It’s nice that almost every main character who survives gets some kind of comfort in the end. (Basically everyone but Grey Worm. Which is not a great look.) But it doesn’t feel very satisfying when it comes at the end of so much that sucked. Sam announcing that the chronicle of the wars is called “A Song of Ice and Fire”? Taken by itself, that’s cute and fun! But in context, I see why some people rolled their eyes. It only worked in LOTR because all three LOTR movies were actually good. In GOT, it’s an attempt at fanservice that fails because it wasn’t earned.
(You know what attempt fanservice didn’t fail? Podrick becoming a knight. THAT was earned.)
I think the thing is that despite the superficial happiness of most of the surviving characters…it’s just that. Superficial. Thematically, the show is pretty bleak, what with all the characters who don’t get to rise above their struggles and forge their own story (Jaime, Grey Worm, Daenerys, the Hound). How are we supposed to break the wheel if we can’t even break out of our own worst tendencies? :/
Oh, the other thing that stood out to me about the finale when I first watched it was that Bran won the game of thrones when I had assumed he died long ago because I never heard fandom talk about him. It was honestly pretty hilarious to hear Tyrion say that Bran had the best story out of everybody when I couldn’t think of a single thing I’d heard about that story after the first season. I wondered what Tyrion was referring to…and now, having watched the whole show, I’m still wondering. I mean, I know Tyrion was referring to Bran being the Three-Eyed Raven, but…that’s so BORING! Bran, by his own admission, isn’t Bran anymore! Why should I care about a magical seer more than characters who are actually interesting as people? What kind of leadership skills has the 3ER shown, anyway? The thing is, I really liked Bran back when he was himself! But I don’t know him anymore :(
(Also, what on earth was the point of christening him “Bran the Broken”?! If Bran himself used that name, I would get it. It would go back to the advice Tyrion gave Jon back in s1: proudly claim the aspect of your identity that society disparages, such as being a bastard or a dwarf. But, uh, Bran never called himself broken. It’s like D&D wrote the finale and then were like “hmm, this isn’t offensive enough.)
On the positive side, I’ve never seen a show or movie that does battle scenes as well as GOT. Battle scenes can get boring once the excitement of people hacking at each other wears off, but the GOT episodes that were all or mostly battle sequences, like Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards, were some of the most compelling episodes of the show. They didn’t just provide action, they provided plot.
Favorite Character: Jon, followed closely by Sansa. I love characters who are extremely angsty and always want to do the right thing but have a lot of regrets because they live in a world where it’s often nearly impossible to determine what’s right.
Best performance: Alfie Allen, who invented acting in the scene in I think s4 where “Reek” has to “pretend” to be “Theon.”
Overall grade: Yeah there were a lot of things that sucked, but like, still, A-. I know that looks weird given all the negativity in this post, but it’s easier to explain what I disliked than what I liked.

The Way We Fell - Fan Chengcheng
[a/n: i’ll get around to writing all of this for nine percent one day] / masterlist
[cxk, cln, fcc, hmh, lyj, zzt, wzy, wlk, yzj]
God, what had you done in your past life to deserve him?
Fan Chengcheng, the music that name brought to your ears.
He was another kind of human. The two of you always bickered right down each other’s throats until Zhengting and Wenjun would try to separate you two. But, it never lasted long as you squirmed from their grips and back into each others’ arms, a heap on the floor laughing, pinching, giggling and happy.
You’re not sure how the two of you had met or when. You just knew that there were too many mutual friends that you shared with him.
And maybe it’s just his personality but you always thought that Fan Chengcheng was a definite grade A asshole. Even more so, the earliest memory you have with him ended with you throwing a drink in his face and stalking out of whatever bar Zeren had dragged you out to. And yet, despite being blinded by a shot of vodka to the eyes, he still stumbled out of the bar and gripped your wrist, dragging your screaming body to come back in so Zeren could take you home. “If you ended up dead or something, it would be my fault. Now stop being a bitch and wait for your babysitter.”
To this day, he refuses to get drunk around you. The two of you have had too many arguments and fights that he’s afraid you might actually stab him or something.
That’s why the one time he does get drunk around you, he’s flushed red with blood to find out the two of you had kissed rather than killed each other.
“At least the sexual tension is resolved,” Justin shrugs, whining when Chengcheng smacks his back. “Hey! That’s not nice!” he pouts. Chengcheng rolls his eyes and stalks out of the room to see you still asleep on his bed.
He flips the sheets and watches you tumble to the floor. He curses at you, yells a bit, gently shoves your arm then pins you to the floor and kisses you into oblivion.
Xinchun says he saw it coming as he collects a fat wad of money from the kitchen counter. He smiles and splits it with Quanzhe, inhaling the scent of the fresh dollar bills obnoxiously. Chengcheng curses them all as giggles fall from his gege’s mouths, his younger brothers biting back their smiles.
Yet, despite the fact that you make Chengcheng want to rip his hair out, he finds himself missing you a little too much when you’re away. It doesn’t take long before a dresser becomes half of his closet. He doesn’t mind. It means more time to spend teasing you.
You two still tease each other often. Sometimes, the lengths you two go to leaves the younger ones with wavering eyes. But in the end, Fan Chengcheng was an asshole but at least he was your asshole and to him, you were just as much.
He liked it. After growing up the way he did, he was happy to find someone to be real with him. He liked how you told him his shirt was ugly or that the way he did his hair looked like he just rolled out of bed (and not even the good kind). He liked when you told him he was getting too cocky. He liked when you pointed out all of his bad qualities.
Zhengting and Wenjun quietly watch him change over the next year. They watch him become a better version of himself because of you. He’s more grounded now. It makes everyone smile when they find the two of you swaying quietly in the kitchen to some song he was playing from his phone. They like how brightly his eyes shine now. They like you. You have his back in a way none of them could ever. He listens to you. He opens up to you. He loves you.
It takes him a while to admit it. You guys have dated for more than a year already. After a late night conversation with Zeren, he gets the younger one to admit his feelings. Chengcheng finds himself breaking out into a grin as he tests the new like out on his tongue. “I love you, YN,” he repeats to himself as Zeren chuckles.
He thinks that maybe he should tell you in some extravagant way. Maybe he’ll set up a whole dinner complete with lights and candles and your favorite dish that he’ll make himself. Maybe he’ll set out balloons and streamers and write you a song.
But when you come home today and bring home his favorite food without asking if he’s hungry, he just stares at you. He watches you move around him. He watches you catch up on his favorite show while the two of you eat. He lets you pull him into the shower and smiles as you kiss him in all of his favorite places. He sees that you’ve changed your shampoo too into his favorite scent and you belt out the words to his favorite song.
The two of you are laying int he darkness, your back pressed flush to him as his hand sneaks it’s way under your shirt. The two of you fall into a fit of giggles and grunts.
When you finish, he carefully cleans you up before settling back next to you again, a dazed look on your face.
“I love you,” he whispers, cupping your cheek. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.”
And he doesn’t think he’s ever heard words sweeter than this.
You guys share another trip around the sun. It’s hard for Chengcheng sometimes. He doesn’t like bickering as much as he used to and it annoys him when you smack him with a pillow during every argument. But he wants to be with you. He pieces you back together after every fight and pins you against the floor until your lips are bruised and swollen.
He knows you find it hard sometimes too. With him being away for tours and all, having to keep this relationship a secret, not being able to go out on proper dates. But you survive it because at the end of the day, Chengcheng is yours and you are his.
You guys are pushing into two and a half years when he tells you that the company wants him to start fake dating one of the other girls. He watches your face break and hears the pieces of your heart crumble to the floor. You want to yell at his company. You want to ask why he couldn’t go public with you but he could go public with her. And he explains it as bluntly as you would.
“She’s famous. You’re not.”
You frown and let him hold you as you cry. He promises that she’ll be nothing more than a coworker and that this is for the benefit of the band. It’s show business and this happens more times than you may think.
When your hot tears finally run dry, he pins you down once more and fills you up, promising that it will always be you.
The fake dating starts a month later. The two of them have to pretend that they’re sneaking around for a while which means more nights than not, Chengcheng will slip into bed at an ungodly hour.
The news articles slowly start to pop up and before you know it, the company comfirms the relationship. NEX7 becomes the trending topic on all social media platforms for the next week.
Chengcheng realizes that since he has to spend a lot more time with her, he might as well get to know her.
She’s nothing like you, he notes. The exact opposite actually. She never tried to pick fights with him. She was nice and pretty funny too. He always had a good time when the two of them hung out.
You find yourself crying at all the pictures they post together on social media. They look like an actual couple. Justin finds you a mess on the kitchen floor and tries his best to comfort you the best he can but it doesn’t work because in the end, Justin is Justin. He’s not Chengcheng. Chengcheng is out at some fancy dinner with her and you’re trapped in this house with nothing to stare at except the pictures on the wall.
But the little one still tries his best as he pulls some ice cream from the freezer. He goes on a whole rant about how the girl seems a little sketchy and that he and Quanzhe have mutually agreed that you’re the better one of the two. When you ask about what the others think, he explains that they’ve already brought it up to their managers that they don’t want her around here. Chengcheng can go to her place but she can’t come here. They all love you too much for that to happen.
Justin makes you laugh and shares some stories with you before he takes your hand and brings you to the living room. He calls Zeren and Xinchun down and the four of you watch movie after movie until you finally drift to sleep.
You only wake up to someone laying on top of you an try to hold back your tears when you realize he doesn’t smell like himself. He smells like her.
Chengcheng spends less time with you and more time with her now a days. Sometimes, when you cut the corner of the halls too fast, you can hear Zhengting scolding someone on the phone. You want to ask who he’s speaking with but he tells you that it’s no one every time.
You’re growing tired of this. You rant over the phone to Ziyi, someone you had grown close to when Chengcheng still hung around his former Nine Percent members. He tells you that if you want to get away, he’ll come get you and you can stay with him and Xukun for a while. You tell him there’s no need just as a tipsy Chengcheng walks through the door. You hang up, get Chengcheng cleaned up and then try your best to ignore the red bruise that taunts you as you lay on his chest to rest.
It starts to head south after you bring it up to Chengcheng. He says it was from you but it most definitely wasn’t from you. You two scream at each other, arguing and throwing things around the room until Wenjun and Zhengting come and pull you apart. You two don’t look for each other after that.
You endure this sort of thing for another month until one day, Ziyi unexpectedly calls you. It’s almost three in the morning and he tells you that Xukun had a dream about you and wants him to check up on you. You end up falling to the floor sobbing. Ziyi and Xukun arrive the next day unannounced and pack your things for you. Chengcheng watches blankly from the door and you’re not sure what breaks you more: the fact that he doesn’t try to stop you from leaving or the fact that it’s his members begging not to go.
“She’s good for you,” you tell him as he stands in front of the house. “You and I...we had a good run.”
“But I still love you,” his voice cracks.
You shake your head. “It’s impossible to love two people at once.”
Quanzhe and Justin are on their knees sobbing, begging you not to go. “Who will take care of us? Who will take care of Chengcheng?” they ask you.
You tell them that they will find a way. That traces of you will slowly become a faint memory. Wenjun, Zeren, Zhengting and Xinchun quietly wipe their tears. They won’t stop you. They know you’ve been suffering for far too long.
As Xukun opens the door for you, Justin screams at Chengcheng. “How could you?!” he yells, punching him pathetically in the chest. “The one person who rode it out for you through thick and thin! And you’re just going to let them go like this?!”
Chengcheng stares at the little one as Zhengting ushers him away. He’s still screaming at the top of his lungs for you to stay. And you almost do. But Xukun reminds you that you shouldn’t. It’s not good for you to live here so miserably. You’ve lost weight, you’re pale. Being with Chengcheng had literally made you sick. He and Ziyi want whats best for you.
Right before Xukun can shut the door, Chengcheng catches it. They exhange a look before Xukun mutters that they have a flight to catch and slides into the front seat.
“I’m sorry,” he says.
“That’s just life, isn’t it?” you smile sadly. He nods, resting his forehead against yours and sighing.
“What an honor it was to fall in love with you,” he says. “To have been able to become the person I am today because of you.”
“Don’t break her heart the way you did mine,” you tell him. He nods, opening his eyes to look at you. “Take care of yourself, Fan Chengcheng.”
He leans forward, lips centimeters away from yours. You wait for the impact to come but it never does. He pulls away, wiping a tear from the side of his eyes and nods again. He shuts the door and leaves back into the house without one spare look. The others quietly wave, watching you from the steps.
You go two months without contact to any of them.
You like staying with Xukun and Ziyi. Since retiring from the limelight because they wanted to be together, you realized that maybe, if Chengcheng really loved you the way he said he did, he’d choose the same path as them.
They feed you well and get you a job at a local animal shelter down the street from their house. The three of you adopt a small dog and Ziyi says they should name it Zhangjing when the boy comes to visit.
Life keeps on moving. The sun still rises. The moon still falls. And you realize that maybe, you had put too much effort into your relationship with Chengcheng. Or maybe you noticed that he didn’t put enough in. You slowly forget about the days at the NEX7 house though members do take the time to check up on you. Hell, Justin even came to stay with you for two weeks when he finally had a break.
He tells you quietly that Chengcheng is engaged now. He asks if you want to come to the wedding but tells you that you don’t have to for obvious reasons. You tell him that your job won’t allow you to take such time off. He tells you two days isn’t a lot and says it’s okay to say that it still hurts to look at Chengcheng. You smile at how smart he is, at how much he’s grown. You two fall asleep on the couch to a movie marathon after gobbling down a whole tub of ice cream together.
The day of the wedding comes and goes and life still goes on. The moon is still falling. The sun is still rising.
You eventually move out of Ziyi and Xukun’s home. Your apartment is about a ten minute walk from them and it’s nice and cozy. You hang pictures of Ziyi, Xukun, even Justin has a small frame that sits on your bedside table.
After a month of living there, you check your mail and flip through it. There’s the usual junk and bills but one thing catches your eyes. You leave it sitting on your counter for a month.
Since moving into your apartment, you have met with someone new. His name is Yanchen and he’s sweeter than candy. He kisses you gently and never raises his voice. He takes you around town and shows you the bookstore he works in.
You find yourself wanting to tell him you love him the night you remember the envelope that sits on your counter. After chugging half a bottle of wine, you open it up. The words blur together but you know it’s from him.
He says he’s lived a life full of regrets and that you, you will never be one of them. He tells you he’s getting married soon and doesn’t expect you to be there. He tells you that he probably won’t even send this out in time but he hopes that one day, it’ll get to you. He still thinks about you, if you’re well or healthy. He hopes that you still don’t carry around the same hate for him. He says he understands why you left him. He was very undeserving of you. You probably saw the way Ziyi and Xukun left fame and wondered why he couldn’t too. He wants you to find someone who will always put you first the way you did for him. He rambles on and on for two pages before signing off “yours, and forever yours, Xixi.”
The way you had fallen for Chengcheng may had been too fast. You learned that much from him. With Yanchen, you’ll put your feelings before his and express your likes and dislikes in a calmer manner. You hope that the way you fall for Yanchen will be different from the way you fell with Chengcheng.
And it was.
So, on your wedding night, you write back to Chengcheng.
You explain why you never reached an invitation out to him and how Justin said that you have a kid running around now. You hope he’s happy and that he’s putting himself first. You hope he remembers to breathe and that the world will still turn so he shouldn’t get upset over little things anymore. You ramble for only a paragraph before writing one last thing.
“I hope that you can give all of yourself to her. Loving two people is impossible, Fan Chengcheng. Give her your all the way you never did for me. Fall in love with her the way I’ve fallen for Yanchen. Only then, will you be able to write me back without tear stained sheets. Until then, farewell. -Yanchen’s and forever Yanchen’s, YN”
He doesn’t write you back.

I really need to finish up some work, but I'm too busy thinking about what my Halloween costume is going to be. Kind of want to do something related to Ice Nine Kills this year. I love that band. I think their take on the genre is interesting, plus, y'know, they're writing songs about horror movies. Obviously, I'm just a tad biased.
If I go with something else, though, I think creating an original monster or killer character would be fun. I've been wanting to make more masks lately, but I either didn't have the inspiration or I didn't have the energy. Maybe I should start planning some character designs.

imma try and ask you to answer all questions? Or like at least five of your choice because all of them are interesting
God, I love you. Thank you for this. I answered all the ones I hadn’t already.1. Do you prefer writing with black or blue pen? Black2. Would you prefer to live in the country or the city? The city; the country is beautiful and I love the sunrise, but the bugs…I have a phobia of ticks and I would NOT survive out there.3. If you could learn a new skill, what would it be? Piloting a plane, for sure. Its on my bucket list.4. Do you drink your tea or coffee with sugar? Tea, sometimes, coffee, always. I’ve been told that I’ve only ever had bad coffee if I need sugar to drink it, but goddammit, I’m just addicted to sugar.5. What was your favourite book as a child? Really liked the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but also the Mortal Instruments and other teeny bopper novels.6. Do you prefer baths or showers? Love baths, but only once in a while, as a bittersweet treat. Definitely prefer showers.7. If you could be a mythical creature, which would you choose? MERMAID. MERMAIDMERMAIDMERMAID8. Do you prefer reading paper or electronic books? Paper. It’s less convenient, but there’s nothing else like it.9. What is your favourite item of clothing? Actually, it’s a tie between two of my dresses. One of them was $10 at the family dollar, and the other was clearanced at Target!11. Who is a mentor to you? My dad, hands down.12. Would you ever want to be famous? If so, what for? Sure! Perhaps for writing; if my book is good enough or I write a kickass screenplay that magically gets purchased by a triple A Hollywood studio, I get it made into a movie, then I can make sure Josh Brolin is cast in it…and Adam Driver…and Rami Malek…and Ilana Glazer…and all the other actors I have crushes on that I can’t currently remember right now…13. Are you a restless sleeper? Very sound one, actually. 15. Which element best represents you? I want to think water or earth. Or, alternatively, iron or magnesium.16. Who do you want to be closer to? Everybody! Specifically, a few of my coworkers, a couple of my friends, plenty of my family friends.17. Do you miss someone at the moment? Ironically, my roommate. Even though there’s been so much strife in our apartment lately due to the people she’s been seeing, I don’t blame her, and I miss her because of it. We live together but its been months since we really hung out the way I wish we could. It’s partially my fault, of course, but we won’t get into that.18. Tell us about an early childhood memory. I’m a writer, you should know better than to tell a story. It’s not a specific one, but a common one. Waking up, the sun shining through my window, getting up at my leisure, coming downstairs, and seeing my dad making pancakes in the kitchen. Our griddle was excessively smoky, so it was always hazier and the beams of sunlight were more visible. It smelled like batter and smoke and summer. I was always the first one up after my dad, so I’d help set the table, get all the syrup and butter set out. Then he’d wake up my sister, and I’d wake up my mom, and we’d all sit down for a nice breakfast together. He used a little bit of vanilla in his recipe, so the pancakes would taste a little extra cake like. I miss that shit; I’m excited to move away from this city, so that when I have to come back home for the holidays, I can stay with my parents, and come downstairs to them making food again.20. What can you see outside your bedroom window? A courtyard/garden, and an alley. 21. What are you most thankful for? My family, and myself.22. Do you like spicy food? YESSS I love it!!!23. Have you ever met someone famous? I met Grizz from 30 Rock, does that count? I also met a few YouTubers, but their famousness is more subjective than a tv star’s.24. Do you keep a diary or journal? A few, scattered around. I snapchat myself like a diary, I do free association diaries on an old Google account, I have a private Instagram where I post updates on my personal life. Depends on which details I want to share, where. Nothing physical, though.25. Do you prefer to use pen or pencil? I hate to choose between the two; pen is so permanent, distinct, but pencil is good for the ideas you aren’t sure about yet. I carry both with me at all times.26. What is your star sign? I’m a Sagittarius sun (Taurus moon, Libra ascendant, if you care about those things)27. Do you like your cereal crunchy or soggy? CRUNCHY! I don’t give a shit if Cap’n Crunch shreds the roof of my mouth, the CRUNCH is what I need28. What would you want your legacy to be? I want to be the best friggin Hufflepuff I can be, tbh29. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read? I love it, but I usually only end up doing it on vacations. The last book I read was ‘IT’, months ago, but the last thing I read was probably fanfiction (maybe even my own, lmao, I love rereading and learning from my past writing choices).30. How do you show someone you love them? I’m actually tied in three ways for my top love language; I show my love any way I can, apparently. Gifts, vocal affirmations, physical touch, quality time, the whole nine yards. If I love you, you’ll know.31. Do you like ice in your drinks? Nope. Too coldy for my teethies.34. Do you address older people by their first or last name? I address people how they want to be addressed? I’m not sure how to answer this; I suppose in general I default to ‘sir’ or ‘ma’am’ a lot, rather than saying actual names. Displays my playful spirit and a casual but sincere respect all at once.35. If money was not a factor, how would you live your life? On the road, coming home every few months. I want to live everywhere, for a little while. On the beach, in the mountains, in the forest, the desert. I wanna go everywhere and learn everything.36. Do you prefer swimming in pools or in the ocean? Pools, but only because of my love/hate relationship with the ocean. Thing’s massive and intrigues me so much, but I know better than to fuck with it for too long.37. What would you do if you found $50 on the ground? If it had been there a while, I’d keep it. If someone had just dropped it, I’d return it. I’m probably save it, maybe put it on my student loans, who knows.38. Have you ever seen a shooting star? Did you make a wish? I have! The first one I ever ‘saw’ I made up because my sister saw one before I did and I wanted to seem cool (I was seven, I think). But the first real one I saw was in a parking lot with a friend in high school. Felt magical, made a wish. Doubt it came true; it was probably a wish for a boyfriend lmao dumbass39. What is one thing you would want to teach your children? Patience. I know it can’t be taught, but I’d try my darnedest to see if I could at least give them a little bit of mine.41. What can you hear right now? I’m listening to my songs on shuffle, and currently its my favorite band Gorillaz’s song ‘Rhinestone Eyes’. There’s a dog panting on the floor, fan running on the ceiling, the A/C is quietly humming.42. Where do you feel the safest? The house I grew up in. You can’t fuck with me there, it’s like the Asgard to my Hela, I get all my power from it.43. What is one thing you want to overcome/conquer? I want to conquer my GD writer’s block so I can write some good original shit.44. If you could travel back to any era, which would you choose? THE 80S!!!! PLEASE, let me go back to the 80s, I would’ve killed it. High waisted shorts, hi-tops, the music, the lack of internet…sounds dreamy.45. What is your most used emoji? 💕 47. How would you spend your ideal day? Go to a morning movie stoned, perhaps by myself, get some killer lunch, hangout with my family for a bit, maybe get dinner or make dinner, end the night with a smoke sesh with my girls and in bed by 10:30.49. What do you regret the most? Not getting closure with a lot of people.50. Invent your own word. What does it mean? Uhhhh……..I’ll get back to you on that one.

I’ve been sticking to the ketogenic diet nicely. I believe I’m down 19 lbs today after a month or so if doing it.
I’ll have to start integrating in some exercise.
I’ve even been able to combat the munchies by making adjustments to what I eat. Mostly pistachios. But I gotta cool it on them too because I think they’re screwing with my bowels when I eat too many and get up in the morning.
—-
I stare at the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. I get this shit every day currently. No sugar, cream only. I swirl it like wine; watch the white cream mix itself with the brown. Ice cubes clanking against each other and the plastic cup.
I consider reducing my carbon footprint. How though? I imagine getting containers with the same dimensions as my favorite foods/drinks: the coffee stuff, chipotle bowls, metal straws.
I’ll add it to the list.

Drank an assload of wine with my boy Mac from work. We are going for our level one sommelier in December. Long story short we were supposed to work a party, but we ended up getting cut and hanging at work and drinking wine instead.

I smoked so much out of the oil pen last night after getting out of work. From the parking garage all the way to the house. Tina was already smoking and drinking shit red wine from Walgreens. Yellowtail merlot. Tina is the lady I live with for the moment since getting back to Orlando.
—
I met with Frank yesterday. It was good. We hung at the house for a while; I spoke to his wife Jess for a while also. They have a dog named Microchip. Hes like 15 years old. Little scraggly looking thing. Hes on his way out: can’t see, can’t hear, shits himself, back legs barely work. Frank and his wife were debating on weather to put him down. He’s ok with it, Jess doesn’t want to. Time is probably going to take care of the decision for them.
So Frank and I left and went to our old Starbucks haunt up the road from him. The Starbucks right there boy the chipotle on Colonial. We chatted about music and listened to some old shit of mine: Brightline Spectrum (I was in this band with my boys Earl Hoback and Adam Heidrick. We ran through a string of bass players until we got Frank on board); also, a band called Gift to the Greedy, which we can appreciate now as older adults.
Frank and I don’t meet too often, but that is going to change. We are what I would call musical soulmates, in the sense of we probably are the most adaptable and accepting of new and different genres of any music. We’ve always been fans of the cream of the crop across all the genres.
The short stories here are:
I want to become Frank’s protege: I want to get caught up on his production techniques, and start making my own music again.
Frank wants me to become his manager of sorts. Just to facilitate shows etc; his sticking point is the marketing side of things so Im gonna come in and start attempting to handle some of that.

(I meant to write all this last night but smoked too much so here it is)
So we all aired our grievances ( mostly Tttt and Aaaaaaaaa) and had a drink. I had some johnnie walker black label, as I’ve been on a whiskey kick lately, mostly due to the keto diet.
So then we all leave the bar around 1:30 and head to the parking garage. Tttt has her husband on the phone who has been waiting for her, so she’s occupied, and goes her separate way as we walk to the Orange garage (Disney Springs has lots named after fruit haha orange, lime , strawberry)
Aaaaaaa and I go to her car on level one; she drives me over to where my car is on the other side of level one. We get to chatting in her car.
Mostly about her likely soon to be ex xcvbnm. I’m not saying I’m waiting to swoop in but I’m kind of waiting to swoop in.
For some reason about a week ago, I just felt compelled to walk up to her and start talking. It felt pretty natural. So I went with it and suggested we should do something in the future. And we got on the topic of her doing art etc. So she’s crafty like that also, which is a bonus because I had no idea.
Anyway, we chatted in her car for probably over an hour. Mostly her getting the bf troubles off her chest. I feel like she has no one to talk to on these matters so I just let her go off.
I know I’m treading the line of being the ‘gay friend’ shoulder to cry on. But I continue to make it know that my involvement is romantic in intention. And she’s down from what I can tell.
Her sticking point is that she has been drawn in to this narcissists web of gaslighting and the like. He breaks her down and then continually reels her back in. They’ve already broken up once and had mini break ups also.

Continuing wine studies for the level one class / exam coming up December 7-8. I gotta lock in my spot and pay the $600. Semi pricey but def worth the investment. It’ll look good at STK and also on the resume if and when the time comes.

1:30 or so am. Aaaaaaaaa, the girl from work I’ve been chatting with, we finally made it out after work for a drink. We went to raglan road, which is right next to STK. Another girl Ttttttttttt (who I also work with and, is a rat in Chinese zodiac, same as my brother) came along as well, as she had a bad night at work behind the bar.

About three days ago I started talking to this girl Aaaaaaaaa from work
She started there when I was In Alaska.
So we got to chatting at work and I learned a little about her: 36 and divorced finally, 17 year old daughter, and apparently she can’t hang on to a man (according to her), and self proclaimed low self esteem. But the last three days we’ve gotten a little close at work and want to make plans.
Shes seems cool, she has some ‘on again off again’ guy in her life but she said she hasnt heard much from him the last few weeks. Although I just hit her up now after she got out of work, and she said he may come over or something to see her.
All that bullshit aside, I think she may not be too too emotionally invested at this point, but maybe hanging on for some last scrap of whatever, hopefully closure. I mean I don’t mind seeing her while shes still invovoled with someone, but if he continues on his trend of not showing her off publicly etc (this is according to her, which was a point of contention for her of course), the situation is gonna sort itself out.
Im going to press on either way. Not wait in the wings, but try to get her out of course. And always escalate with male/female intent. She knows im interested that way so its all good.

Tune out from all that's happening
Nobody deserves empathy
Nobody feels for me
We've all been trained by our worlds
I cannot see no one but me
No one can feel my emptiness
Everybody must fend for themselves
There is no openness
We've all been claimed by our worlds [x2]
But I have heard of ways
That say there's light beyond the darkness
And everyone can keep their children warm
And togetherness will guide us safely
Through all storms
Unyielding conditioning
Remove all trace of memory
No one needs justice anymore
No voices raised in anger
We've all been tamed by our worlds [x2]
But I have heard of ways
Where people topple all injustice
No one lives their lives on bended knees
And all bigotry is like a disease
Drowned in the sea
And all can hold their head up high!”

Ive been watching wine and champagne videos lately. Just been trying to step up my game at Stk. also considering going for my level 1 in sommelier. Its a huge undertaking but the benefits and the street cred would be worth it I believe.
I have to get better. At everything in life. The last couple weeks I have been stepping things up at work. Getting in that groove of talking about the gig every day.
I need to get a vehicle. Ive been renting a new car from Enterprise for $200 a week. Putting that shit on credit. Been putting a lot on credit since returning to FL. But no worries. The STK will provide. Just taking these baby steps.

All of the emoji asks?
🐰 what is one secret that you’ve never told anyone?
When I was 8 or nine, I pranked my father by switching my father’s hair tonic with hair dye. He was not pleased, but he never figured out that he hadn’t just done it accidentally, so I was off the hook.
💗 if you could hug anyone, who would it be?
My friends, my sister, and my grandmother

💁 if someone was rude to you, would you be rude back?
Most likely not.
🌟 what do you like about yourself? (must choose at least 3 things!)
I like my soft hair, my passion for learning, and ?
🐾 what are you scared of most? how will you overcome it?
I’m scared that I’ll never live up to the expectations of others, and that I’ll never escape the shadow of my family… But I’m doing the best that I can to make my own way, I just need to keep moving forward.
🎁 what never fails to make you happy?
The happiness of the people I care about
💙 what annoys you about some people?
If they are cruel to others for no reason. Or if they’re rude to to waiters, retail workers, or other employees.

I’m constantly daydreaming about the future or traveling and seeing the world…
🌻 if you could change 3 things about the world what would you change?

Keep moving forward; you are going to be happier someday.

Intelligence or bravery. I never tire of learning new things, but I’d also like to be able to be more assertive and face my anxieties.

Dino Babers is here to ‘strike fear into defensive coordinators’
If you’re writing a movie about the Syracuse head coach, you’re gonna want to make it a thriller.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — “A., I like movies, but B., it’s a time for me to go out in public, when the lights turn down and no one can see who I am,” Syracuse Orange coach Dino Babers told SB Nation.
“And I can actually be like everybody else and just laugh and make a noise in a theater and be normal. Because as soon as the lights go back on, I’ve been a head football coach in smaller towns, and everybody knows who I am, and I’m back on again.”
He’s far ahead of his fellow football coaches when it comes to keeping up with pop culture, but movies are about more than that. Movies were his escape as a young man and a constant for the son of a Navy man whose family moved often. Now, trips to the “movie house” are an offseason indulgence.
Dino isn’t a nickname, either; he’s named after the Italian movie star Dino Verde. Not many head coaches see Oscar winners until years later, but Dino’s seen Moonlight. A former wide receivers coach, Babers noticed the in-cut route run by Get Out character Walter, the one that spawned the viral Get Out challenge.
Back when he was a kid, sequels weren’t the backbone of the movie industry that they are now. Babers’ career has twice been propelled by second acts. A 7-5 Eastern Illinois became a 12-2 FCS quarterfinal squad. His 8-6 Bowling Green Falcons went 10-2 the next year, before he left for Syracuse.
The opening of his Syracuse tenure was a 4-8 2016. He admits his offensive system lends itself to leaps in aptitude the second go-around, but it will not be easy in Part II. Our protagonist faces his toughest antagonists yet, with LSU, Miami, Florida State, Louisville, and Clemson on the schedule.
If you’re writing the Babers biopic, your title character is complex.
To play him, perhaps you’d call Denzel Washington (his choice) or Will Smith (whom his wife and daughters think it should be).
You’d have to find someone to channel both old-school and new-school sensibilities. There’s a record player in his office with vinyls under it and music from his home state of Hawaii playing softly. He says he’s selfish with his music, but his players get to choose everything that plays during practices.
Of course, there are two exceptions.
“The first song is ‘Smooth,’ Santana,” Babers said. “The last song: ‘I Feel Good,’ James Brown. Every black guy, white guy, pink guy, green guy will learn the words of those songs. Now, in between those two songs, they get to play whatever they want, as long as there’s not cuss words or N-bombs.”
Babers does not run his team like a former military brat and says he doesn’t care how long your hair is.
“I want [my team] to be loose,” he said. “I want them to be freewheeling, and I want there to be interaction between them and their coaches. Now that being said, there’s a discipline to this game, and that’s where all that stuff kicks in.
“But the discipline — go to a baking analogy — discipline is in the cake. It doesn’t have to be in the icing. All that baking you do — the cake, ‘Oh, what kinda icing you gonna put on there?’ — it doesn’t matter what you put on it if the cake’s no doggone good. You bake the cake.”
(Babers can bake, although he doesn’t eat chocolate.)
As you develop the screenplay, you’d have to channel the most theatrical moment of his career so far, the speech after last year’s 31-17 victory over Virginia Tech. Appropriately, it looks ripped from a sports movie.
youtube
That moment was close to the vision he’d promised. In his introductory press conference, Babers asked those in attendance — even the media — to close their eyes and envision a team that could win in all three phases and bring a din to the Carrier Dome.
youtube
“I think that defensively, that was probably the closest that it came,” Babers said in his office about the win. “I would say offensively, I’d probably go more to the Pittsburgh game [a 76-61 loss]. I think [the VT game] was a fabulous defensive game by us. We did some things on offense and we made some plays, but I really believe that game was a defensive win.”
You probably don’t associate Babers with defense.
Babers has been a product of many systems during a career that goes back to 1984, when he was a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Hawaii. But this system is an air raid variation that can be categorized as the veer and shoot.
“It absolutely strikes fear, in my opinion, into the defensive coordinators the night before the game,” he says.
The system was honed at Baylor, where Babers coached wide receivers from 2008 to 2011. It was borne out of necessity when former BU head coach Art Briles was a high school coach during the 1990s in Stephenville, Texas. Briles pushed for Babers to go to Eastern Illinois and told him to bet on himself.
“We’re not big phone guys,” Babers said of his contact with Briles. “But we text every blue moon. Recently. I’ll say that.“
The events and reporting most frequently associated with the sexual assault scandal that rocked Baylor and resulted in Briles’ 2015 firing occurred mostly after Babers left for Eastern Illinois in December 2011.
Babers was on staff while Tevin Elliot was a member of the Bears. Four months after Babers left, the defensive end was arrested on two counts of sexual assault and removed from the team. He was sentenced in 2014 to 20 years in prison. Baylor was later sued by five women who say Elliot raped them from 2009 to 2012, four of them testifying against him.
When asked about the scandal, Babers said:
“I can talk about from 2008 to 2011, and Tevin Elliot was there. Heard he did bad, heard he got kicked off the team. And I became a head coach. And that’s not, how do I say this? That’s not to cover me. It’s just what happened.
“I’m military. Boom, boom, next. There are certain things that you don’t get second chances for. I got four daughters. I’m down with that.”
If you made the Babers biopic, you’d have a ready-made heart-stopping moment.
The car crash nine years ago, on a recruiting trip for Baylor, should have killed him. A tire blew out, and a panicked Babers hit the brakes at 80 miles per hour. His car spun, and he ended up facing oncoming traffic on an interstate near Houston. Babers recalled in detail the face of the semi driver who swerved to miss him.
“I don’t use the word s-c-a-r-e-d anymore either, because I nearly died nine years ago. Since then, I don’t use that word,” Babers said.
He was content to stay at Eastern Illinois for 25 years like his predecessor, Bob Spoo, who gave Babers his first full-time job as a running backs coach in 1987. Both started their head coaching careers at Eastern at age 50.
But with experience playing DB in college and so much time as a WR coach, Babers brings a WR’s sensibility to teaching the system he took from Baylor. Despite his background, he’ll tell you the QB is still the most important part.
“When a quarterback throws a receiver a ball, a receiver should be able to throw that same ball back to that quarterback,” Babers said. “And that is what’s been missing. What that means is that you and I have played catch so much that you’re the pitcher and I’m the catcher. You throw me a ball, I throw you a ball, you throw me a ball, I throw you a ball. We take our mitts off, and you’d have to say, ‘Which one’s the catcher, and which one’s the pitcher?’ because we’ve exercised that skill so many times.”
He calls plays without a sheet, takes calculated risks on fourth downs, and recalls the little things, like the fact that his quarterback got hurt on play No. 14 of the Clemson game. I checked, and he’s right, if you don’t count punts as offensive plays, which many coaches don’t.
“Our quarterback has to be a thrower, not a runner,” Babers said. “It’s not a wishbone offense. It’s not Navy’s offense. We do want to run the football, but our quarterbacks need to be NFL quarterbacks. They need to be guys that, after they have a fantastic college career, they go to the pros and they have a pro career.”
Under Babers, EIU’s Jimmy Garoppolo threw for over 5,000 yards and 53 touchdowns as a senior against only nine interceptions. He would finish in the top three of FCS’ most meaningful statistical categories and lead the Panthers to FCS’ most prolific offense. Garoppolo now backs up Tom Brady and appears in major NFL trade rumors, with the assumption he could be a franchise QB.
“Now, all that being said, if they do have legs that can get them out of trouble, that’s an advantage. But that’s the No. 1 thing. The No. 1 thing: has to be able to touch the entire football field; 53 and a third wide, 120 yards long. They’ve got to be able touch it all.”
Since Babers’ relocation to New York, he’s been able to see Broadway shows for the first time.
He wanted to see Hamilton last offseason, but there was a problem: his whole family wanted to go too.
“They were so fricking expensive,” Babers said. “This was like in the last two weeks of the original cast before they were about to close down. I’m like, the heck? One I mighta saw, me, but they were all like, ‘We wanna go.’ We’re talkin’ about six big ones. I’m like, ‘oh heck no.’ Because I know it’s supposed to be good, but to me the best Broadway show is West Side Story, which is my favorite movie. So I’m like, I’m not gonna go see this Hamilton thing.”
Tickets for that performance were going anywhere from $5-$20,000 each on the resale market, but he did enjoy the cast’s parody of Garoppolo.
youtube
Babers did see The Lion King and Jersey Boys with his family. In the latter, he saw the future of his program.
“The thing that cracked me up was the opening line of Jersey Boys. Now I’m sitting here, first and second Broadway show, never been to one live,” Babers said, “and in the Jersey Boys, the opening line says — they’re singing — but the first time the guy talks, he goes, ‘Hi, my name’s Tommy DeVito, and I put New Jersey on the map.’”
Babers was recruiting a young quarterback by the same name from the same state.
“And I’m sitting there going, ‘Are you sending me a message?’”
One "Jersey Boys" name sounded familiar,but I can't put my finger on it... #TheyPutJerseyOnTheMap #Broadway #AWEsome http://pic.twitter.com/rhqarrTQG3

DeVito ended up signing with the Orange, an Elite 11 participant and the No. 15 pro-style QB in his class, per the 247Sports Composite. He’ll arrive in the summer.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
QB recruit Tommy DeVito believes Syracuse can return to greatness
Our partners with SB Nation College Football spoke to QB recruit Tommy DeVito, who is all-in with the Syracuse Orange. He explains why and what his future plans are in this video.
Posted by Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician on Thursday, July 7, 2016
For now, Eric Dungey leads the team through spring. Dungey ran Syracuse’s option system in 2015, then shifted to Babers’ system and improved his completion percentage while more than doubling his pass attempts.
Babers told his future QB to go see Jersey Boys. He’s not sure if that’s happened yet, but they can see it together later this offseason.
