2. What were their expectations going into the Conclave?

Conall was... I'd say cautiously optimistic going into the Conclave. I think if there wasn't a part of him that genuinely thought that good could come out of it, that the war could be ended, then he simply wouldn't have gone. He would've stayed on the run. But as it is, I think Conall, for all he doesn't really believe and for all he hates the way the Chantry has treated people, still has a part of him that wants to see the Chantry as an institution that can bring peace, if the right person is at the head of the operation.

4. Was there anything in their life they were looking forwards to doing once the Conclave was done?

Going home. Conall up until this point has spent the majority of his life in the Ostwick Circle, with extremely infrequent communication with/visits with his family. Part of this is on him, part of this is on his family members, but also a part is obviously on the nature of the Circles. He misses his sisters, man. But at this point, it's been so long that seeing his sisters no longer entails going home, and while I think he knows that he's not quite registered the fact that they won't be there anymore. So a lot of the time leading up the Conclave is filled with him thinking "at least I get to go home when this is over".

14. What type of Inquisitor are they? What are their motivations? How do they lead?

This is a weirdly hard question to answer for me and I don't know why. Conall starts out very compassionate, driven, and trusting. He wants to help as many people as possible and he wants the other mages to be free and he trusts far too frequently. As time goes on, I think the wanting to help as many people as possible stays but it becomes so much harder to do, to believe that he can do it, and he gets significantly more jaded.

6. Is the Herald impacted by Justinia's death? Or do they move on quickly?

Yeah, I'd say so. I don't think Brigid had a relationship with Justinia or anything, but she respected Justinia greatly and certainly mourns her. And there's also the immediate onset anxiety of "Hey, so what the fuck happens now?" that comes when the Divine and every single potential option for the next one is killed in on fell swoop. Not a good time for her, is what I'm saying.

10. What are the Herald's opinion on the Mage Rebellion and on mage rights?

Deeply, deeply complicated. Brigid isn't a die-hard, "The Chantry can do no wrong" Andrastian, but she is a sister, she does believe, so I think she really wants the Circles to be a net good for the world. But she also has a little brother who she hasn't seen in years because of the Circle, who may or may not be alive because for all she knows he was at the Conclave or he's been killed by some templar in the woods or he was killed by another mage when the rebellion first began. She also talks to a number of people in and around Redcliffe before making any firm decisions about whether to ally with the mages or templars, so their testimonies do not do great things for her already tumultuous thought process.

The thing about Brigid is that if things were a little bit different, I think she would side with the templars, or at least wouldn't take the mages on as full allies. A part of her, despite herself, is wary of them and the power they hold. But right now, despite a whole lot, I think the templars seem like the less reliable option. They don't want to follow the Chantry or the Inquisition, and Brigid being a sister makes her a very weird intersection of both, she does not make for a good leader for them. And on a much more selfish note, a part of her really wants to believe that her brother is alive, that he's out there somewhere, and that if she makes it clear to the world that the Inquisition supports the plight of the rebel mages (even if it isn't entirely true to her own values), then maybe he'll show up at their doorstep one day. She can hope.

16. What are the Inquisitor's thoughts on their advisors Leliana, Josephine and Cullen? Who do they listen to the most?

I think she's closest personally to Josephine. There's just something about the Josephine and her sense of humor that I think charms Brigid immediately. I think she trusts Leliana implicitly as her spymaster (Justinia wouldn't have chosen her if she wasn't good for the job, she clearly has loyalty to the Inquisition), but she's very wary of her as a person, probably until her personal quest. Despite my opinions on the matter, I think she trusts and genuinely enjoys the company of Cullen.

And because Jason is irritated, and his tongue runs loose in his anger, he screams back that he is nineteen, and Bruce just freezes, because... Oh. Jason is nineteen. He is a fucking kid - his kid - that lost years of his teenhood, and was forced back without anyone giving him a space to catch up, with everyone else already treating him like an adult... When he isn't.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.
