sorry if this has been asked before, but would you ever be open to running a fanon queer ships tournament in the future? or would that be too difficult/unrealistic given how many fanon ships there are out there?

well there's definitely that, as you can see how many canon ones there are without getting fanon involved. but i do think there's also already plenty of tournaments out there for ships that aren't canon (although book specific becomes a little narrower for sure) whereas this is a little more niche which also keeps the vibes (mostly) and submissions manageable for me to deal with as one person running the tournament

the biggest reason that i don't think i'd do this though (never say never, but it would probably be on a different side blog if i did because of this reason) is that while the competition is fun and all i do primarily run these tournaments (both ship and character and whatever else might come up in the future) as a way to promote queer literature, which is why i do tend to be less lenient about the canon rule. I've had several people tell me they use this blog as a reading list and i think that's great! because that's kind of what I want it to be. It's why i let in so many ships/characters every time. Most of them will get eliminated in round one because its 4v4 to make it more manageable for me to keep the polls going, but even the most niche unheard of queer book can get promoted -sorry propaganda'ed 😂 if we're using tournament terms- by someone who loves it and might become someone else's favorite. Tons of people tell me in the infodump box that i add to submissions that they don't think their guys will make it past round one but they want to put them out there anyway. and i think that's great! i love watching the propaganda people do work in real time and get others to pick up a new queer book they didn't know before. I've definitely found several books through this tournament as well!

So while i think a fanon tournament could be fun, i think it would be a lot harder for me to do for the reason you mentioned, and it wouldn't really fit the motivation of this blog. however maybe someday if i get more freetime it could be a fun new blog thing to do; i'd just probably have to find some way to be more selective about it

#2 Do you listen to music when you write? What does your current writing playlist look like?

I actually do! And very specific ones, I have a few selected youtube videos which are either lo-fi hip hop or writing/studying music and just run on repeat. I'll link some of my favorites to give you an idea!

Most important is no lyric (especially not if I can understand it, but I usually also don't like the songs that are have people humming or singing to the songs and will skip these), upbeat but I keep the volume low so it really is just a background music (but that means like classical music doesn't really hit the itch), and preferable with ambiance sounds like rain or waves or so.

Sometimes music can be almost too much, so I use mynoise.net for either the Irish Waves or the white noise, depending on what suits me that day. It's my personal recommendation for anyone wanting background noises.

Lastly, yes, I am very jealous of artists who can do their art while watching movies or the like. But I can't even have someone talk to me while I write so that is just the biggest no-go lol

#6 When (and not if) you ultimately finish your WIP and publish, do you picture yourself giving readings and signings and interviews, or would you prefer to stay out of the public eye? 

Hm, complicated. I am not a super private person and I love talking with people (I am an introvert but my family and my job raised my tolerance lol) so I'd probably do well if I wanted to do events. But, if I ever get to finish my book, I'd go for self-publishing so the chances that I'd ever have a signing or reading is just super low because pulling it off on my own just seems... harder. Not impossible but harder. I don't think the genres I want to go into could be picked up by traditional publishing, so it would be a lot of work, and I don't know if I have enough dedication to see it through. Passion, yes, time and resources, no.

However, I think if I did have a book, I might start tableing at my conventions! I see a lot of authors there and that might lean towards my target audience more!

I think I'd still like to sign books though, maybe have a special sale and then sign them and send them to people or something. That would be cool. It was nice to write a special note to everyone who got my Yantober book, so I know I'd really like to do that!

#16 CHALLENGE: Tell us about your current project in three sentences or less. 

Oooh, hmmmm, let's see. It's something all of you guys chose in a poll a while ago, so how do I tease it without revealing too much hmmmm...

It's an isekai story and inspired by an existing manga (manhwa?). The concept is similar but I haven't read the original, I am just turning the core idea around and making it properly yandere (although the idea has been done in different versions a lot). The main character/reader misjudges the effects it'll have to just level up one certain stat and it comes back to bite them in the form of a typical noble getting overly obsessed.

Just to mess with her little fantasy world, Marc, Nathaniel, Lila, Chloé, and Félix run for King/Queen

Marinette doesn’t expect anything, but then Nathaniel starts catching up with Adrien in the polls

So, she actively threatens and sabotages them in private, but none of them are dropping out

Chloé and Félix rake in a ton of votes thanks to their connections

Especially Marc when Lila and Chloé give him a makeover

Lila: You look a lot prettier without all that black hair in your face.

Marc: Hey. I like black hair in my face.

*Cue 80s movie cliche where they take off his glasses, is super hot, and guys throw themselves at him*

Marinette is called in by Mme. Bustier, (You all know what she says if you’ve read Nerd’s Sara Berry au) and is now more determined to win

She orders her “friends” to get her more votes by any means necessary and demands nothing but perfection from Adrien so people will vote him King

Lila’s gym clothes are gone and participation in classes are mandatory to continue running? Chloé loans her a designer set that looks absolutely gorgeous on her

Getting Alya to snap embarrassing photos of Nathaniel? He. Can’t. Stop. Looking. Gorgeous!

Things only seem to go to hell when Lila is now tied with Marinette, and Marinette is just getting desperate

She berates her classmates for not being “good friends” and helping her win. But, little did she know, Aurore and Mireille were recording the interaction (From mentioning the sabotage to where and post it for everyone to see

Mme. Mendeleiev calls the Akuma Class in to discuss a proper punishment since M. Damocles is too lenient. So... M. D'Argencourt is gonna have them do an hour and a half of grueling physical education!... Otherwise, their prom tickets will be denied

Marinette isn't standing for this and urges them all to side with her, but none of them will, so she storms off in a huff while the others continue their punishment

However, some people are still loyal to her, so she uses that to her advantage. Cue Socqueline.

Nathaniel doesn't even care if this gets him more votes or not, he treats Marc to the best promposal ever, and he says yes.

Meanwhile... Marinette, Socqueline, and a few of her lackeys head to a paint store to pick up red paint because... Pigs are adorable and I refuse to kill one off, thank you, very much.

Look at this little baby! LOOK AT IT!

Done looking? Okay.

Prom is only a week away, and everyone is so busy prepping the venue that they don't notice Marinette and Socqueline sneaking up into the rafters with a mysterious bucket

Anyway... It's Prom Night! Yay! Marc, Nathaniel, Chloé, Lila, and Félix are looking gorgeous, taking selfies, dancing with each other, and again, looking gorgeous

Marinette and Socqueline sneak in through the back and hide behind the stage where the rope rigged to the bucket it set. Socqueline's lackeys mess with the ballot box and fill them full of fake cards with Marc and Lila's names checked off

The Akuma Class even apologize to the five of them, and while they don't entirely forgive them for siding with Marinette for so long, they leave it alone so they can enjoy the night

Finally, it's time to announce the King and Queen... It's Marc and Lila

Marc: Holy shit.

Lila: YEAH! Gimme that crown! *Runs onstage*

Félix: She's gonna sleep well tonight.

Everyone's clapping, all happy and stuff... Then Nathaniel notices something and heads backstage where he finds Marinette and Socqueline getting ready to pull a suspicious-looking rope.

He somehow manages to stop them with his noodle arms and pushes Marinette into the middle of the stage... Right when Socqueline pulled the rope.

Marinette is drenched in red paint, and it's only when people start pointing and laughing that she officially snaps. She storms out of the room to go find the fuse box, and cuts off the lights

Students begin to panic, others try to keep calm. Félix decides to treat himself to some punch to settle his nerves... Only to collapse on the floor as someone had poisoned the punch

Amidst the panic, Lila gets bashed on the head with a blunt object, a rock

Chloé's final words are, "Oh, fuck!" when her head is bashed against the wall several times

Nathaniel is found with his torso cut open and his remains were found splayed across the floor, left to marinate

When going to investigate, the teachers find Aurore had drowned when someone pushed her head in the decorative fountain in the corner of the room. No wonder she had been so quiet

And finally, Mireille's unattached body parts were found all over the room

And e's are for the easy ways in five minutes tops, Marc brought an n for end by calling the cops. (What a bitch)

Hi! First of all, wanted to say that you are wonderful for still doing some little fun stuff for RC9GN fandom! I can't say how much I appreciate seeing the activity in the tag from you! Thank you.

Now, the reason I'm sending an ask, is I have a few suggestions/ideas that I wondered you might be interested to hear? If not, feel free to ignore this! ;D its totally cool.

You mentioned in the DTIYS post that you might be getting busy since the break is ending, and it got me thinking, maybe DTIYS could be extended for other artists? Like, if you are busy that week, or do not have an idea for DTIYS (or just dont feel like it, we all have those days lol), you can do a sort of 'feature artist for the week' to do a DTIYS drawing? I understand there might be a contacting/scheduling problem with that idea, but you can always just make a post/notice and see if anyone wanted to do this/next week DTIYS.

If you are worried about the complexity of the featured art, you can also make a list of requirement for DTIYS (like, only a single character, no/little background, props, themed and etc), so it would be relatively similar for everyone?

It also will give you an opportunity to participate in DTIYS too rather than just make it, if you wanted to! I kinda feel bad that you seem to do all the work, even if I know that you are doing it from love to this fandom haha.

Another idea I wanted to offer/discuss is the polls! I actually thought poll/episode bracket idea was a fun one, but i know its not the most favorite one. However, maybe it could be sorta implemented in DTIYS? Maybe a poll for a character/theme/episode-related idea for DTIYS people would want to see next week? It doesn't have to be constant polls every week, maybe just occasional if you do not feel particularly inspired that week, it could give you an idea?

I know that you started these new smaller events, because they were less stressful and urgent than prompt week/month, but still fun enough to engage with! If these ideas seems like too much worry/work, I totally get it.

Sorry for the delayed response!! You wrote a lot of good points and I wanted to make sure I addressed them all <3

The post was getting a bit long, so it's under cut. TL;DR I think I'm going to treat this year as a test run and then create a more formal one for next year! That will involve a Google Forum probably(?), but do note that one of the questions will be on a specific date. One problem I've found with events is the time they take place. Not planning on moving Ninjavember's month, but that for example is sandwiched between October/Inktober and December/Holidays/Finals, so it can get busy. Considering this is a new event, I want to give people in the fandom currently the freedom to kinda pick and choose when this might be done.

I think extending the DTIYS event idea to other artists is a great idea! I know that I started this rather suddenly without warning, so people weren't given a sooner notice, but if I do this again, I can perhaps create a forum for people to submit things to or have people submit things here. Nothing super formal (because organizing that might get messy), but that way it can feel a bit more like a community event :D

For this event, I'm kinda sort of just drawing by the week, so if anyone wants to submit stuff now, that's totally fine too! Worst case is we have more than 5 by the end of April, and that's definitely not a bad thing lol

As for complexity of DTIYS prompts, I wanted to keep it varied for fun, but I also think focusing on simple doodles is fine. At least then, it gives people more of chance to focus on their style first rather than figuring out how to draw a car or something (bane of my existence)

I also like your idea for polls, and perhaps if we do a more formal one for this next year, we can implement that.

My Thoughts on The Sun and The Star.

I’ve organized my thoughts into some lists. Enjoy.

I polled my followers and they said they wanted this so you can’t get mad at me.

I must first emphasize that at 20 years old, I’m hardly this book’s target audience. I am fully aware of that.

Second, this book is fine. It’s not bad, it’s not insulting to queer people, but it’s also not the most interesting work of fiction I’ve ever read.

Third, I never finished the Trials of Apollo. I don’t think it hugely affected my reading experience with this one as I’d read all 10 of the other books and could use context clues for anything I didn’t know about. But I thought I should mention it.

Fourth, a lot of my problems with this book have also been present in all of Rick Riordan’s books post-pjo. So, these aren’t new.

Fifth, I went into this book with basically zero expectations. I’m not active in the pjo fandom (this is an anime blog), so I wasn’t seeing the book hyped up or anything. Before this, I’d basically only talked about it with my family and friends. I also don’t really read pjo fanfics. I have because I’ve gotten curious before, but I haven’t read enough to know about general fanon interpretations of characters.

Okay,

Nico has been my favorite PJO character since I was a kid (yes I grew up gay with abandonment issues shut up), so I was excited for this book.

The queerness is well done. There isn’t any “othering” of Nico, Will, or their relationship due to their queerness.

We got Italian! Nico moments, which I’ve been wanting more of since forever, so I’m happy about that. They did an okay job rounding out Will’s character. And Nico and Will’s relationship got a lot of good exposition (even if I felt that they were unrealistically mature about it). Nico’s experiences with homophobia felt very real.

Okay, now on to my critics:

Without a doubt my biggest criticism of this book is that it is very clearly fanservice. It doesn’t exist because it has a story to tell. It exists because fans wanted more Nico and Will content.

I didn’t like that the book was written from third person. I had this same critic of the Heroes of Olympus books. Rick Riordan’s strength has always been first person POVs, starting with the original PJO series. I feel like the funny chapter names, the breaking of the fourth wall, the sidebars, etc. are the reason that Rick’s prose stands out. A first person perspective is the reason the books are as funny as they are. And this book lacked that spark.

The choice to write from third person is part of what contributes to the fanfiction-esque writing style of this book. As someone who both reads and writes fanfiction, I can tell you that almost all fanfics are written from third person. This is because, for the most part, the characters you’re writing are not your own. First person is way too intimate a POV for that type of writing, and it’s why most fanfic authors don’t use it. That’s what I feel like is happening here. Oshiro is writing characters that aren’t theirs, and that means they can’t bring the intimacy of a first person POV or even a more intimate third person POV.

The book is also very on the nose with its themes and ideas. Generally, this is fine in this type of literature. This is a piece of middle-grade fiction. The target audience is middle schoolers. But also, middle schoolers can pick up on subtext. They’re young, not illiterate. There was far too much telling when they were already showing.

A good example is the title of the book. It’s very clear that “The Sun” is Will and “The Star” is Nico. I assumed that before I even opened the book. That imagery is incredibly obvious, so the authors don’t need to state it in the text. But… they do. Bob refers to Will and Nico as “My sun and star.” It was one of the moments in the book that really made me cringe.

The book has major pacing issues and is too long. I felt like it was going on forever. There were full scenes and segments that I think could’ve been cut without affecting the plot.

This book really put on display that even though Will and Nico work as boyfriends, they don’t work as partners. This contrasts Percy and Annabeth, who do work really well together since they were partners first. But Nico and Will are so bad at working together that their quest dynamic isn’t fun.

Generally, I don’t love the characterization in this book.

Nico and Will are supposed to be on this dark, dangerous quest. One so horrible no one would ever want to undertake it. It’s the House of Hades (Nyx’s Version). Except it really isn’t. It felt like they wanted to make it more psychological than the previous books, but they also weren’t totally willing to commit to everything that would entail.

Despite all the fluff in the book, it takes itself just a little too seriously. Nico and Will are 15-16. I feel like they could have had more fun with it while still tackling darker themes. Again, I know Riordan is capable of this because *gestures at the original PJO books*

Nico and Will have this weirdly mature outlook on their relationship that doesn’t fit their ages.

We don’t get PJO-esque jokes until 80% of the way through the book (yes, I kept track). There’s the “Travel Brochure” joke and the “Saturday Sundae” joke during the Nyx confrontation. Both of which invoked the feeling of reading the original Percy Jackson books. I got really excited.

Immediately after those jokes this became one of the cringiest books I’ve ever read. And I do not care to elaborate on that because I’m just happy that the book is over at this point.

Lastly, I wasn’t sure where to put this, but I read it, so now, you have to too. “‘Will, he said it has to be both of us,’ said Nico. Will hesitated at first, but an epiphany dawned in him, and his eyes went wide. ‘Together,’ he said.” After reading this, I immediately recoiled in disgust and went “UGH!” And there are multiple lines like this in the book. Absolutely horrible -7563/10. Rick, never allow another sentence like that into one of your books again. This isn’t YA. You can’t be throwing lines like that at me out of nowhere.

In conclusion:

I’ve seen people saying the criticisms of this book are the result of homophobia and… y’all no they aren’t. Most of the people I’ve seen criticizing the book are queer, including me! I’m tired of this idea that queer people just have to appreciate whatever representation they’re given without having any criticisms about it because at least it’s something. No! If Nico and Will were a straight couple, I’d still have the exact same critics of this book. I’m gay and it’s my godgiven right to dislike books that focus on gay people if the stories aren’t good.

Something that I do think is sad here is that Oshiro’s name is now on this substandard book forever. They’re a new author, and they don’t deserve that. Rick Riordan will be fine if this book isn’t received well, but Oshiro is less likely to be. That upsets me deeply as a queer writer myself. That sucks. I hate that. Go check out their books instead of this one tbh.

16. What's an underrated fic that deserves more love?

I love this fic. I feel like I rarely see it on rec lists and I really enjoyed it. I like that food is a way for Draco to communicate and ask forgiveness from those he's wronged. I love that he's so determined to get Harry to come to one of his dinners, but it's such a quiet and gentle determination, especially in contrast to Harry's righteous indignation over the whole thing. And it must be said that this fic reminds me of one of my favorite books - Kitchens of the Great Midwest by J. Ryan Stradal.

The worst part is Harry’s got no idea why Malfoy keeps sending him invites. He’s never replied to a single one. And if the whole dinner is as exclusive and sought-after as the Prophet keeps breathlessly reporting, then presumably the only reason Malfoy wants him there is in his capacity as the Chosen One. So, really, he can fuck right off. Harry doesn’t care about Draco Malfoy’s redemption tour. And he’s certainly not going to help him with it.

17. What's a fic that brought you on board with a ship you were skeptical about?

I love Pansmione...for other people. It's just never been my thing. It's a fine ship. I know it's another enemies to lovers ship, like Drarry, but there's never been enough chemistry in canon for me. I also really like Ron and Hermione. I think they fit together well - Ron's heart the match for Hermione's head.

This fic made me open to the possibility of Pansmione. I adored this fic - I loved the fake relationship aspect of it and how it let them get to know one another better. I loved the political drama of it - Hermione working so hard to be a champion of the people. I loved that though it was mostly from Hermione's point of view, she was not perfect. She was still cut-throat in doing what she thought was best and it let Pansy be a little bit softer and sweeter in comparison. I could really see Hermione as a workaholic politician and Pansy as philanthropist. The dynamic really worked for them in this fic and I'll consider more Pansmione in the future because of it!

Hermione’s on track to become the youngest Minister of Magic in history. There’s just one issue-- the polls hate her. Well, the polls hate her gayness, specifically. When a solution is presented that could fix everything, who’s she to decline?

18. What's a fic that made you cry?

I sobbed at this fic. It didn't help that I read it for the first time right after my grandfather passed away, but it was gutting in the best way. Harry and Draco's love for each other is so realistic because it's so ingrained into their everyday life - mugs and socks and pieces of paper left behind after someone is gone, routines that you don't even realize - and I felt every bit of Harry's grief so deeply. Losing my partner is one of my worst fears and this fic made that unimaginable thing so tangible that it left me with heartache for days afterwards.

However, it's not terribly difficult to make me cry. The thing that sets this fic apart is that after the tears, it made me hope too. Hopeful for Harry as he finds his way through this and hopeful because the love that Draco leaves behind sustains him.

There isn't a catch all tag, and that's a extremely good idea. I'm kinda kicking myself for not asking for feedback before making a whole poll about it. We'd still have the poll, but there would've been better options about what to do. Also for not doing that to start with.

Seems like a lot of work, but doable imo. My concern would be actually getting people to vote for the ask games. Also if an ask game wins, but nobody plays it, then what? Do we just go onto the next one? Would there be a time limit? What if people send things after the time limit? I'd feel like such a dick for not posting it because they didn't send it in on time. This isn't really a final exam at school or your office job with time limits. Literally how do I explain it without sounding like a Super Serious Tool?

People do that for holiday things, you can't stop that from happening. The only reason I put a time limit for holidays is so nobody gets triggered after they remove a tag from their blacklist, assuming nobody celebrates Fathers Day 2 weeks afterwards. You know what I mean? Not to mention this blog is very active. People may not see prompts until long after the time limit, and they may still want to participate. Also who thinks up themes, if there will be any?

Though maybe we don't vote on them. Like you mentioned, people might get upset if theirs isn't picked. I suppose we could just do it chronologically, as they're sent in. I'm not sure how to manage this. Save the future ask games to drafts and hope I don't lose them? Probably.

The thing about the auxiliary blog is that it won't have the same amount of traffic and might go dead. Not a bad thing, such is life. But I think part of the appeal of ask games replies and confessions is that this is a fairly high traffic blog. People want to be seen, even if it's anonymous. I think having the ask games be cleaned up and a new system put into place to make it easier to block the tag/find them would be super helpful, but I know that can be stressful. I don't know about the canon call thing, I haven't really seen people implying they should be contacted over x y z happening in their canon due to an ask game reply. Honestly I'm not fighting that battle very hard anyways.

I get the feeling that ask games are going to stay. But we did get some ideas on how to manage them better than their current form.

(I wrote this some days ago, I was planning to post it before the year ended but I FORGOT, so let’s pretend it’s still 2020 hehe)

Morning, morning everyone!!! I’m happy because I’m back after a reallyyyy long time. This year is almost over (THANK GOD).

BUT despite everything that happened, Shuu and Sayaka still had some time for each other.

After four months without seeing each other, Shuu (and Mika-chan) went to see the stage play where Sayaka was appearing!! I cried a lot that day T^T

Okay, I’m gonna explain this very quickly, since I saw many people who didn’t know exactly what it was.

On November (I think) some kind of official Sailor Moon polls came out, people could vote for their favorite characters, episodes and songs, many Sera Myu actors also voted, including Shuu and Sayaka!!

The thing is that this day, December 5th, the final results were posted!

Chapter 137, “Titans”, was one of the most polarizing chapters in recent memory, provoking strong reactions both positive and negative.  When we compiled the results, the chapter averaged 4.09 on a 1-5 scale, which places it 37th out of the 47 chapters we’ve ranked. No matter how you view it, it’s still a solid rating.

While the pacing was somewhat spotty, overall, the chapter was absolutely fantastic and very fulfilling and answered a lot of the things I had wanted answered.

With Zeke and Armin comprising more than 20 pages of the chapter, it’s no surprise the majority of favorite moments centered around them. “Zeke and Armin’s discussing of the meaning of life” garnered one-fifth of all responses (20.2%), followed by “Zeke seeing the beauty of the world” (14.7%).  “Levi making good on his promise” (14.5%) was the third most selected option. “Armin reminiscing about the happy moments of his past”  was fourth (13.6%). everything in this chapter was amazing, there's literally nothing that doesn't makes me happy (except Zeke's death, it made me cry-)

Zeke‘s reflection and death are my favorite panels in the manga. It lives rent free in my mind. This is my favorite chapter of the manga so far.

I liked how Isayama had Jean reuse the suicidal blockhead nickname

I loved seeing Levi take a sort of protective, fatherly role when helping Gabi take out the Okapi Titan. And seeing him finally fulfill his promise and vow to Erwin is refreshing and makes me feel happy.

I loved the conversation between Zeke and Armin. Zeke was always nihilistic, he saw life as dry and meaningless. Armin is on the opposite - he found the meaning of life in the little happy moments. He taught Zeke that life isn't only about multiplication , but about higher, happier and more spiritual things, like love, having fun or watching sunsets and sunrises. I'm glad that Zeke found his own meaning of life and understood that there was nothing wrong about him being born on this world and he would do it once again, if he had a chance. We can add their conversation to the list of the best conversations in the manga.

it was a great chapter, and Armin & Zeke's talk was the highlight for me.

Armin transforming and saying bye to Eren gave me absolute chills.

Looking back at that old sketch, it really does feel like the end of an era. 44.6% of respondents thought Zeke’s end was a good and poetic way to go out. 29% were sad to see him go but were glad he had some agency - even throwing out a last bit of sass at Levi! 12.4% didn’t like how it happened as it was somewhat sudden and maybe not as epic as it could’ve been. 7.6% question if it’s really the end for Zeke quite yet, and 6.4% have no strong opinions about it.

A fitting end for a great character

I think his ending was very poetic but could have been executed much better.

In terms of writing, he was the third best character in the post-time skip section of the story. He deserved a better ending.

10/10 character, one of my all time favourites. In theory, I like the idea of him sacrificing himself to stop Eren, but with the build up he had (mainly the way Grisha said he would save everyone) it was an extremely disappointing death.

I love him and via development. The thing is that the way he was killed was rushed as fuck and kinda killed my enjoyment of his last moments. If worked better, pretty sure I would have cried.

I really liked the way Zeke's character arc ended, and he remains one of my favorite characters in the series.

I was underwhelmed...I hoped to get much more out of him than what we did. But I guess this is expected when you introduce like 10 new characters and try to cram their entire arcs in less than 30 chapters at the expense of the original protagonists' (I'm not salty...I swear...).

47.1% already liked or loved Zeke before this chapter. 22.5% felt much softer towards him after this chapter but not enough to really say they like him. 21.5% enjoyed his chill philosopher side so much they would’ve liked to see more of him after all. I've always found him interesting. I love how his role in the story evolved as time went on. One of the best characters in Attack on Titan.

I mean, when they released his flashbacks as a child, I already started sympathising with him. Also his paths adventure with Eren. But this chapter really solidified it for me. The guy was just a sad boy who wanted love and thought he was doing the right thing.

He was an "end justify the means " person. I don't like him still.

I mean... it was nice to see him realise that he wouldn't mind being born again, but I was still a bit miffed by the fact that he still believed that his euthanasia plan was the way to go (it sort of diluted the impact of the conversation between him and Armin). I've always enjoyed Zeke's character. Ever since picking up the manga after Season 1 what feels like an eternity ago and he's one of my favorite characters. That being said... This chapter made me dislike him a bit.

I loved Zekes character. Even as he attacked Paradis Island you could see his methodical viewpoint on their roles in all of this. He always was working the end game and their ability to not be used as pawns. We may not have always agreed with his path and believe me, there were moments I hated him. So many, but he also knew his moment in this time and what his role was. His death was a righteous one and I loved that Levi was able to fulfill his promise.

I thought his character was probably one of the best in the story, with a very well defined beliefs/viewpoint and a bunch of interesting characterwork.

I'm glad he got to understand that the world is beautiful before dying, I was angry because of all the things he did but chapter by chapter I came to realise  how sad his life was, he only had little moments to be happy and be a normal kid/person, I'm not justifying his actions but I'm not judging him either.

I love Zeke as a character. He is well written on his own and also has a drastic effect on a lot of characters. I think that Zeke realizing that there are other ways to look at life and his way was not the most convenient one makes the viewer realize that no one is wrong and no one is right. I think his death was pleasing enough and he look liked he didn't have major regrets in life, other than the one he discussed with Armin.

At first he seemed to me a very cruel and conflictive character but he has had a great development and a dignified closing for his unfortunate path

He's just like every other character in SnK: War Criminal with a backstory. What he went through as a child and a teenager creates a soft spot for him; but doesn't justify his killings and the euthanasia plan. I would have liked him to go down in a more grandiose kinda way (seeing his brain games, him just giving up on his life kinda felt lame). Overall, a great character from analytical pov.

I liked Zeke's detached approach on humanity, as I completely relate with his philosophy during the conversation with Armin. Even though at first I was repulsed by his sociopathic tendencies (rip Mike) his character definitely stood out. Everything about him felt rational and original, and I still believe his plan was the most logical one. Great character.

I like Zeke, he was represented as a villain but like all the characters, he's the hero of his own story. He was strong, smart, and tried to stop massive killings. I loved his relationship with Levi too (even though he almost killed him) and I loved Levi's expression when he finally killed him. I expected him to die fighting, but I like how he went down.

My thoughts are neutral. I think he had no choice in his life- he too was enslaved. Although, it would have been better to see more of his relationship with Tom Ksaver. That seems to be who he really is, and who he really believes himself to be.

I still would like to see Paths destroyed in the end, though, otherwise they'll be stuck there forever and never be able to move on.

Though Ymir remains quite an obscure character, I've always been a fan of childhood trauma and how this affects the world they are living in, especially in a fantasy setted world. It adds an interesting level of humanity to the story.

Ymir was surprised when she entered paths in 122. She didn't expect but from what we've seen from 122, we can say that "escaping to a world free of even death" holds the most meaning. I never saw it as her desire for safety, Connection of course is existent though.

I don't know, but here's my opinion. I'd say Zeke finally open his eyes to the truth, and now he wished to do as much as he can to stop Eren before his time comes. i love the idea of zeke becoming a "optimistic nihilist" but didn't at all like how rushed it was executed.

I mean, it sure could've been explored more, but we have to take into account that Zeke had been in paths for a long time (maybe for what it felt like millions of years) and by that point he felt hopeless; his dream was no longer going to become a reality, he couldn't change anything and was trapped there forever, then Armin came and gave him a different perspective, he listened and found something of value in it while at the same time not completly discarding Xaver's ideology. Zeke wanted to eugenicize his race. Except Armin said 'look at this leaf, I like living' and he said 'yes you're right life is worth living. I will die for humanity now'. People will joke about this for years to come when they explain attack on titan to their friends.

This change is fine in principle. It's change from his idea of euthanasia and "better not be born" toward "eventhough life is suffering too, it's worth living". But it was rushed, it would have been more believable if the idea germinated in his mind. So between the Yes and No answer.

What change of heart, he was reminded from what he found happiness in life which he was enjoying subconscioulsy before aka playing catch. An activity he started enjoying as a kid. It was a game, something kids enjoy not a heavy burden of "saving everyone" as Grisha implanted onto him.

Zeke had this change coming - it was built up throughout the Paths chapters. The primary boogeyman figure of his life turned out to be a good man, and he apologised, turning his entire worldview upside down (not counting the whole "Stand, dad" thing) He had an eternity in Paths to process the events of ch120-122 (and maybe his entire life before that) multiple times over. Armin found him at his most vulnerable, betrayed and alone once more. Their debate back and forth, all done with mutual respect, was amazingly written. Armin showed him the way, gave him that one final nudge he needed in the right direction. It's perfectly believable, and fitting.

The passed came back from the past to lend the alliance a hand! Now this moment was a little controversial. 42.5% thought it was awesome seeing our old friends take control of their titans to save their loved ones. 29.9% liked what the scene was going for but thought it needed more setup or foreshadowing. 18.9% were not happy at all to see such a shonen scene in this manga. This chapter continued to showcase some more of the past Titan Shifters throughout the ages. What was most interesting of the past Titan Shifters that appeared in this chapter to fight the past alliance members was that some of the same Titan Shifters that appeared during Ymir's flashback in Chapter 122 can be seen fighting the Alliance in this chapter.

I thought it was interesting to finally have Freckled Ymir's description of being a mindless titan get touched upon again. She said that it was like a never ending nightmare. All the shifters Ymir and Eren summoned were asleep in that nightmare, until Zeke and Armin were able to wake them up, if only for a brief amount of time. There was a reason we saw Bertolt crying after Armin ate him. And we were only reminded again in Chapter 135 when Armin saw Bertolt crying again. I don't think these shifters gaining some of there consciousness back is an ass pull at all. We were given some bread crumbs to believe that at least dead shifters exist in some way in Paths after death.

What was the deciding factor in whether or not a shifter returned for the battle? The most popular in world explanation was that  “Zeke could only awaken those he’d met before” (33.6%). On Levi killing Zeke, I feel like that's narratively sloppy and only serves as some shitty ass way to make Levi relevant, since there isn't really much to his character anymore. I'm still hoping that they can have a happy ending. The deserves it after all the fights.

I've heard so many different theories on how this series could end and now that we are on the final chapters almost nothing has gone with my expectations. I was blown out of the water with how this final fight went. With expectations for this series so high its impossible for it to satisfy everyone. But I'm really happy with how everything turned out. A lot of plot threads are being closed up in satisfying ways and I'm content with the character development everyone is getting.

There are a few things I've been disappointed about, like the lack of Eren's point of view. But I'll hold off judgment till the series ends. I think i'll enjoy rereading this section of the story once it's finished. I caught up with the manga around 117 and waiting monthly for these chapters was made everything seem longer that it probably actually was. Overall I'm happy with how everything went.

Zeke sort of reminds me of Johan from monster. both had a messed up asf childhood and life in general. both didn't find pleasures in life at all, like simple pleasures like tea or coffee to life and people. Because they knew for themselves life had no meaning. therefore both of them could do basically whatever they wanted sorta bc life had no meaning to them and was destined to go extinct if that makes sense. To them, their actions were justified bc they had no meaning in life. But armin, this hope in the world, also knew the world was cruel. however he chose to find pleasures in it rather than distrusting it all together. He found hope in his friends and reading and more, even if it meant getting hurt by people. I believe armin will talk. This chapter messed me up man. Zeke used to be my least favorite character cause he was weird but now he's one of my favs. His death was def one of the hardest for me. ugh what a beautiful chapter. I wish they all found meaning in life before.

Gabi has lots of potential, and it was smart to have her as a character study. I mean, not only do we get the perspective of a brainwashed child of war, but through her, it was shown that it's possible to end all conflicts through forgiveness. She is also a replacement for sasha (sharpshooter). Levi is no shooter, but I hope he takes Gabi, and/or the other war kiddies, under his wing. I hope Levi could find another purpose, and I'm imagining being a trainer/teacher best suites him. He cares a lot and gives good guidance with his experience and wisened words…

Honestly, I was always kinda neutral towards Zeke. Never really loved him, never really hated him. Hated what he did to the Scouts and subsequently to Erwin, but that hate really didn't last long. He was just kinda...there for me. He was an interesting character, and brought a lot to the series, but I guess it wasn't until the chapter with him and Eren as they went through his and their father's memories (the BIG chapter) that I started to warm up (?) to him. I don't know, it's hard to explain how I really felt about him overall. I will admit though, that his death, although very sudden with Levi coming out of nowhere lol, was impactful and I think a really poetic end for him. Him finally realizing the true meaning of living, seeing the beauty of their cruel world at the very end, and helping to bring an end to the Rumbling, left a very good impression on me. So, in the end...I liked Zeke. He was a good character.

Zeke and Armin's talk is... decent, I guess. Like everything in the final arc, it suffered from bizarre pacing issues, so while the core of the talk is decent, we essentially have Armin changing Zeke's entire worldview with 1 small speech. Then SUDDENLY DEAD PEOPLE COME BACK TO LIFE LEVI BEHEADS REINER HELOS ARMIN NUKE RUMBLING IS STOPPED... why the hell did we get two fanservice battle chapters just that all this gets stuffed into one?

I was happy to see Ksaver's titan, Armin and Zeke's talk moved me, and I'll admit I never thought the spine creature was sentient until this chapter. I'm sad the series is ending. What do I have left to look forward to each month?

I am very disappointed that is all. I feel betrayed to just read shounen battle manga story at the climax of the story. I thought Trost is over. And trost had less of the naruto tropes.

Worst chapter of the entire series. If eren was actually defeated, and being defeated wasn't his intention, this chapter ruined the series and his character.

I sympathize for baby Zeke's struggles and the trauma he had to experience but honestly he ain't special in this manga, everyone has a sad fucking backstory. He was a pathetic little sadist, always puffed up about how Clever™ he was for double-crossing people and yet never seeing the obvious betrayal coming from Eren. I know the justification for that is "aw he cared for his baby brother uwu" but that was what made him so pathetic - for all his posturing about being smart and pragmatic for the Greater Good (which was his justification for the euthanasia plan) he was just as emotional and fallible as all the people he looked down on. His lack of self-awareness and depth of selfishness disgusts me. This ending was too good for him. He died as a martyr and he deserved much, much less. Tbf, for baby Zeke's sake, I am glad he got to see some happy memories of Xaver towards the end, but I thought his death was tasteless and a slap in the face of all the people he murdered before. (*ahem* Mike)

Zeke is honestly such a masterclass in character writing and it is so impressive that Isayama has written so many amazing characters. I started out really hating Zeke for what he did to Miche, and that impression carried for a long, long time, even until it was revealed that he had his own agenda, that he might be playing the long game helping Eldians, I didn't believe it because of what he did to Miche. In fact, it was Eren's cooperation with Zeke that made me turn on Eren post-timeskip. When we got that hint of Zeke backstory, I was actually kind of miffed. Like no way, Isayama, you're not going to make me sympathize with Zeke. Not happening. Yet, after I read the chapter, my thoughts were Grisha is a shit dad. Absolute shit dad. Anyway, I was still glad Eren bested Zeke in Paths, though once the Rumbling activated, I realized that I agreed with Zeke's plan better. So he's really become an interesting character for me, and I was even really excited to see him return at the end of last chapter. I still don't like him very much, but he is incredibly compelling and interesting, and I'm definitely a bit more forgiving of his earlier actions. Miche's death still sucked though.

Zeke is one of the most well written character of all time

Zeke is so fucked up, but he's hilarious and extremely meme-able. He's a tragic, well-written character who committed monstrous acts. If he didn't die here, he should have been locked up for the rest of his life.

Zeke is such a underrated but sad character. He truly taught his plan was the best Eldians. He was brain wash from his own parents and send them into pure titans, while his half brother had a normal childhood. In the end, he sacrificed himself to defeat Eren.

Zeke is super smart and very strong man ; he was defending his own past and his own sadness ; but he lost when he tried to follow his wrong feeling of sympathy toward eren ; he was thinking that he is a victim either from their father; this makes him lost everything he lived for until this moment..

Zeke is very great and one of the most important character to the story, his development also very good, i'll miss him

Zeke jeager was of course the first of the two jeager brothers and surprisingly the first son of Grisha I think as Hajime Isayama presented him it was awesome but I still not sure about his death is he really dead or is there any twist left in the last two chapters but still 🤞🤞 let’s see what is left in the series.

Zeke just wanted the eldians to be free but the way he wanted to make them free was wrong. That’s why I didn’t like him that much. But I think right now I’m sad that he had to die.

Zeke made many decisions in order to achieve his goal of ending the painful cycle of Eldian life, and because of that I feel sorry for him. I feel sad that he felt that he needed to make those decisions, and I’m glad that he was able to finally see the beauty in life at the end.

Zeke's a very interesting character to me. I love the irony of Grisha teaching him how cruel the world is in the hopes that it would radicalize him, only for it to make him wish he was never born. The guy never got the chance to just be a regular kid, except for when he was with Tom Ksaver. Tom acted like a parent should to a child, and as such Zeke ended up following through on Tom's vision rather than Grisha's. He was supposed to save the Eldian people, but came to the conclusion that it would be better if they were wiped out. I'm glad his past was brought up again in 137 where Zeke was contrasted with Armin. Zeke was born into a role with high expectations, compared to Armin who earned his expectations through repeated successes. Armin was able to grow up as the regular kid that Zeke wishes he was. His past traumas also lead him to project his own insecurities, which we can say by his assumption that all Eldians are born to suffer, and in thinking that Eren was brainwashed by Grisha, both of which aren't necessarily true. Overall I'd say Zeke is one of my favorite characters in the series, and I'm just scratching the surface of why I like him so much.

Zeke was used by others in some way, over his entire life. The restorationists goals. Kusaver using him to ease his own guilt. Marley’s military. Eren as well. I can’t help but wonder how he could have turned out if anyone had sincerely given a fuck about his own happiness.

Hate that Historia is continuing to be ignored.

I feel happy that most people are ok, but I just know that it can't last long. I hope they get a fast death at least if it all goes to hell;-;-;

I hope this isn't a set up for talk-no-jutsu. One thing that set SnK apart from other fantasy/supernatural shonens was the least use of talk-no-jutsu (it was there way early in the manga and anime but still it was least). Overall, I guess when more information/clarification could've been given, we got more talk and a dissatisfying death, I expected more.

It makes me question "what will the alliance do next? Is Eren still alive? What happens to Historia?" Next chapter should answer all of that.

It ould have been longer to flesh out each scenario and make it more believable, Zeke's change would be better if a few pages more was used to add more detail to his change. The fight scene should be fine as it is. As for the death of Zeke it needs to be longer, it would have made the audience much more sattisfies, his death is a turning point and it could have played out better if Isayama paid more attention to it. But overall I enjoyed it.

It was all just so rushed and convenient- levi killing zeke like it's nbd, zeke being dead completely stopping their problem, all these random dead people coming back to life it's like - what is this? why rush things this much in the last 3 chapters?  i'm hoping isayama has something up his sleeve but the power of friendship defeating eren's still as of yet unexplained character change has left me super disappointed.

It was an alright chapter, about what I really expected, as much as I'd like to I never thought Eren would win and the chapter ended the way I thought it would. With so much negativity surrounding this chapter hopefully the next chapter and the finale will ease people's mind, some people just need to remember this is a Shonen not a Seinen of course the alliance were gonna win.

It was good. The way we got emotions and fight scenes all in one chapter is another peak fiction writing skill from Isayama. As a lot of people think tho, some things shown in the chapter were confusing and kinda out of context, but I guess we'll gonna have all the answers in the last 2 chapters. Ngl, there was some obvious plot armor there in the Alliance side but I think Isayama already gave us enough suffering to ask for more deaths (man, just the thought of how EMA might end after this is more than enough). The ending will definitely define if AOT will go down at the best manga/anime of all time.

We're just rehashing the same lessons of previous arcs and we're just supposed to have conveniently forgotten them...both the feeling of powerlessness/futility of living and the message of "true freedom is..." were already covered by Eren himself back in Uprising and then in his convo with Shadis about what Carla wanted for him. Yams are you telling me he didn't learn a thing and we gotta see other people come to the same conclusions? Ok..........

Were in the Endgame now. Eren's seeming death is used to subvert expectations and is from the POV of Armin. He said goodbye to Eren expecting for him to die from the explosion, e does not say it as fact.

While answering a couple questions, this chapter also made me realize that I didn't understand shit :) Maybe once the manga has ended and all my questions are answered, I will finally succeed in understanding this masterpiece.

“Focus, damn it! “you told yourself, hastily writing down some notes on your tablet before looking back up to where your boss was standing in front of the white board. It was the daily morning meeting, so you still were a bit tired, but that’s what coffee was for and it was certainly not the reason you weren’t able to pay attention.

It was him, your boss. Right now, he was showing some poll graphic, but your eyes were fixed on his muscular arms and rolled up shirt sleeves. He looked so good when dressed casually, the top two buttons of his dress shirt were undone, and you desperately wanted to run your hand into the neckline.

Yes, your boss was hot, but he was also really intelligent, kind and funny to no ends. The whole package, and your crush on him was big.

But your boss was also Jake Tapper, the lead anchor of CNN Washington, and there was no way he would ever see you this way. No, he was your mentor, and you basically owed everything you had right now to him.

You’ve met about a year ago at a debate Jake was moderating. Covering the event had been the first major job you’ve gotten from the newspaper you we’re working at back then, and while you weren’t really satisfied with print media, you had to take what you could. But meeting Jake had changed your life for real. You had started talking about what you were currently writing about, and you showed him some of the freelance articles you had done in for various political blogs.

He had liked your work, you exchanged numbers and two weeks later, a job offer from CNN Washington was on your desk, assistant producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper. You had to read the letter three times before actually believing it. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and you had no doubt who was behind it.

You didn’t hesitate for a moment, you directly called Jake to confirm, and two weeks later you were all packed up and ready to move to DC.

Jake went above and beyond to make sure your transfer was smooth in every sense, he helped you find an apartment, gave you a two-hour long office tour on your first day of work and regularly checked up on you in the first weeks to see if you were adjusting. He still did that, to be honest, even now that you’ve worked here for months and had learned the ropes.

But you didn’t mind at all, you have learned so much from Jake, journalism-wise as well as when it came to politics, history and literature. His general knowledge was so impressive, another thing that made him so ridiculously attractive to you.

But considering all the facts, jeopardizing your entire career by making a move at Jake was just impossible. But Lord, you wanted to.

You were so caught up in daydreaming that you didn’t even notice that the meeting was over, everyone already left except for Jake. He was packing up his stuff and looked over to you.

“Y/N, everything alright. You’ve been really quiet today, and you look exhausted. Is there something you need?” He asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

Bless his heart, you thought. There was definitely something you needed from him, but you would not go there. And it wasn’t like you could tell him that the reason for your exhaustion was the wet dream you’ve had of him last night, one that made you wake you up drenched in sweat and with soaked panties, unable to fall asleep again.

So you just dismissed him. “I’m fine, don’t worry. Just a lack of sleep.”

“You know you can always come to me when there is something up.” Jake said, putting his hand on your arm in what was meant to be a friendly gesture, but just got you even more worked up. You had it bad for the man, and that was why needed to get out of this situation right now.

“Of course, I know.” You gave him a tight smile, hoping he would buy it. “But I really need to go now, lots of stuff to do. I’ll see you.”

Later that day, when you were alone in your office booth, you texted your friend who was working in another department of CNN.

I def need to let off some steam tonight. Club? Xx

She texted you back a couple of minutes later.

Run in with the hot boss again? ;) But sure, let’s do it xx

Even though it was a weekday, the club was bursting with people. You already were on your third or fourth round of shots, and the base was humming through your body, blasting away your worries.

You dragged your friend over to the dancefloor when you heard your favorite song starting to play, the alcohol creating a warm and fuzzy sensation you totally got lost in.

When you woke up the next morning, you regretted every decision you ever made. You didn’t remember how you got home last night, and your head felt like someone had smashed it in with a hammer. And on top of all, you were late for work.

When you finally got the office, everyone was already coming out of the morning meeting. You carefully made your way inside the meeting room, where Jake was still packing up his stuff, as always. As you approached him, your heart almost jumped out of your chest, as it usually did when you were alone with him, but now with the added fear of his anger.

But when he glanced up and saw you, he looked…relieved? You were confused, you had expected a telling-off, but he appeared as if he was happy to see you.

“Thank god you’re alright, Y/N, I was so worried when you didn’t show up this morning.”

It was when he took a closer look at you that he noticed your appearance, and undoubtedly sensed the alcohol still lingering. He had a very keen sense of smell, something he told you a while back. You swallowed when you saw his expression shift from friendly to irritated.

“You’re hungover.” He stated matter-of-factly, his voice cold.

“Jake, I’m really sorry, I-“you began to apologize, but he was not having it.

“Look, it’s really none of my business how you decide to spend your free time, but I expect you to act professional when it comes to the job, and that doesn’t include showing up late and hungover. I will let this one slide, but this happens again, and we have a problem, am I clear?” he was definitely angry, and you should be intimidated my that. You really felt remorse, but seeing Jake worked up like that also made your stupid brain come up with thoughts of him throwing you on the desk of the briefing room and working out his frustration on you.

“I said, am I clear?” Jake asked again, you had clearly zoned out again.

“Yes, sure, clear.” You said in a small voice, now immensely ashamed that you had disappointed Jake, after everything he had done for you.

“Again, I am really so sorry.” You called after Jake as he was making his way out of the room, but he just dismissed you with a wave of his hand.

The thoughts you had about Jake didn’t leave your mind for the rest of the day. You wanted him so bad and seeing him constantly when he was so out of reach was getting harder every day. You desperately needed to clear your head, the only way you knew. So, against your better judgement, you texted your friend again, and a couple of hours later you found yourself in the same club, drunk and dancing without a care in the world.

You almost hated how much you needed this, the music, the people surrounding you, the alcohol flowing through your veins, making you forget everything.

You lost count how many drinks you’ve downed, but you lost sight of your friend as well, so you decided to go outside for a smoke and some fresh air.

You picked your phone out of your pocket to message your friend when a fantastic idea hit you.

Why not call Jake? You were having a great time, and it only made sense that you should share it with him, because you really liked him, right?

“Y/N? It’s the middle of the night, what’s wrong, did something happen?” a still sleepy, but increasingly alarmed Jake asked from the other side of the phone.

“Hiii Jake, oh my god, I’m having the best time ever here, it’s so fun, you should come too! C’mon its Friday, you should party a bit.” You basically screamed into your phone, your voice slightly slurred from too many drinks.

“Shit, it’s Friday morning, which means there is still work tomorrow. Wait, are you drunk? Where are you?” Jake asked, his voice was full of anger now, and under normal circumstances you would be really worried about that, but right now, you did not care a single bit.

“Oh, I’m at that great new club downtown, it’s called the red…I can’t remember, something with red, and the people are so nice, but I lost my friend, so I think I’m going home soon.” You rambled on, the alcohol loosening your tongue.

“There is no way in hell you’re going home like this, Y/N. You stay right where you are, I’m coming.”He definitely sounded infuriated now, and even your intoxicated brain understood the instructions.

“Alright, Jakey, I’ll see you.” But he had already hung up.

You kept aimlessly walking around in front of the club for a while, making drunk small talk with other club goers, when suddenly, someone grabbed your shoulder and yanked you around. It was Jake, tired looking and with a deep frown on his face.

“Jaaaaaake, you came!” You exclaimed and threw your arms around his neck. He stiffened against you and softly pushed you away.

“Y/N, you’re wasted. Come on, I’m getting you home.” He said, voice leaving no room for arguments. He grabbed you by the wrist and basically dragged you to his nearby car, pushing you into the passenger seat. When he leaned over you to buckle your seatbelt, he came incredibly close to you, and again, you spoke without thinking.

“You smell so nice, Jake, like a forest.”

He just gave you a puzzled look and walked around the car to get in the driver’s seat.

The drive to your flat passed in tense silence, you were busy staring at Jakes hands angrily gripping the steering wheel, wondering if they would feel as good around your neck as you imagined. You could feel a tingle between your legs and started squirming a bit, until Jake grabbed your bare tight just below the hem of your skirt and snarled “Stop moving like this, I have to focus on traffic.”

You had to stifle a moan at his rough touch, but if he noticed he didn’t comment on it.

When you finally arrived at your building, Jake had to support you while getting into the elevator and to your door, you weren’t that steady on your feet anymore and by now, more of a tired than a giddy drunk.

“That’s mine.” You said and started fumbling with your keys. “You wanna come inside?”

If you had been sober, you would’ve noticed the pained expression that flashed over Jakes face just before it hardened again.

“No, I certainly won’t come inside, but this is what you are going to do. You will drink a glass of water, brush your teeth and set your alarm, so you will be on time at work tomorrow where we can discuss” he gestured angrily between the two of you “whatever this stunt was. Understood?”

“Yes.” You answered meekly “and thank you for taking me home!” you called, but Jake was already on his way back to the elevator.

When your alarm woke you up only a few hours later, you felt like hell. And that was because you could remember everything. No blissful blackout this time, you were able to recall every vivid, horrible detail of how you had made an absolute fool out of yourself in front of the man you admired most in the world. You owed him one hell of an apology, and you were not really sure how to go about this.

You entered the office like a beaten dog, shoulders hanging and praying to the gods you looked better than you felt. Jake ignored you in the morning briefing, so you stayed behind to face his wrath. When you were finally alone, you spoke first.

“Jake, about last night, I can’t even begin to tell you how sorry I am. Not only did I act extremely reckless and unprofessional, but I also took advantage of our friendship, which is something that a value more than anything. I accept whatever repercussion you see fit, I just hope you can see how sorry I am.” By the end of your little speech you were almost crying, your disappointment in yourself and your fear of Jakes reaction were making you physically sick.

Jake stayed silent for what felt like forever, and when he finally spoke, your anxiety was almost killing you. “Yes, I am immensely angry about what happened last night. But most of all I’m worried. The Y/N I know doesn’t act that irresponsible, getting absolutely wasted two nights in a row. I went to talk to your friend down in the sports department earlier this morning. I know, that might be considered unprofessional, but she’s just as worried as I am. She told me you’ve been drinking a lot lately, and always more than you should. What is wrong, Y/N, what are you hiding from me?”

That was the perfect timing to tell him everything, how he was on your mind all the time, how you wanted to kiss him, touch him, be with him in every way possible, so bad that it was keeping you up at night or haunted your dreams. But you couldn’t, there was too much on the line.

“Nothing, work is just stressful, I’ve been working overtime so much; I had to blow off some steam. I’m just sorry I dragged you into this.”

Jake stepped closer to you, and you could feel your heart speed up at the way he was looking at you, something like heated curiosity on his face.

“So, this has nothing to do with the way you threw yourself at me last night, or how you told me I smelled nice?” he asked, his deep voice making goosebumps break out all over your skin. “Or with the fact that you tried to invite me into your apartment?”

“Jake, it’s not how it looks like, I swear. I won’t bother you like this again, ever, I promise.” Your voice starting to become panicked, this couldn’t be happening, he couldn’t know.

But Jake just chuckled and leaned down to whisper into your ear.

“I think I know exactly how this looks, Y/N.”

He took a step back, suddenly looking calm and collected again, as if the moment you just had never happened.

“I have to go now, but I see you tonight. The office party in the bar down the road, you remember? I expect everyone to at least show up for a while.”

Great, you thought, having totally forgotten about the event. You just wanted to curl up in bed and feel sorry for yourself, but obviously that wasn’t in the cards for you today.

And so, a couple of hours later you found yourself in said bar, surrounded by your colleagues. You already had a short talk with your friend, ensuring her that you weren’t mad that she talked to Jake, you were convinced it came from a place of concern.

You kept it at two drinks, but it was enough to lighten your mood a bit. Jake was talking to someone in another corner of the room, and he looked fantastic with a casual blazer and no tie. There were moments when you felt like he was watching you, but you were never able to make eye contact and were too shy to approach him directly.

It got late and people were starting to hit the dancefloor. You decided to give it a go as well, and soon you were totally lost in the music.

Suddenly, you felt a set of strong hands on your hips and the presence of a warm body behind you. You spun around to tell whatever creep decided to grope you to let it go when you saw that it was Jake. He was smirking down at you, moving his body to the music. You weren’t sure what to do, you were incredibly nervous, but having him close felt so good. Deciding to be brave, you just took his hands and put them back on your hips, giving him a small nod. In front of his door, you took a moment to collect yourself before you knocked and entered.

Jake was leaning against his desk, tie and suit jacked discarded, arms crossed over his chest.

You made your way over to him and when you were close enough, he put his hands on your hips, like he was picking up right where you left it Friday night.

“You know.” He said, and his voice was a bit husky. “I’ve been in quiet the state since our dance Friday night. And your little touches here and there haven’t helped at all.”

Sorting Hat Chats - BNHA

For those of you who don’t know, @sortinghatchats​ has a system for sorting people based off of primary houses, and secondary houses. You can find a run down of that here. Today I’m gonna be sorting eight My Hero Academia characters! Probably gonna be a sequel or two to this post. This one got super long...

(Manga spoilers and like two minor movie spoilers which are marked by “in the movie” so if you wanna skip those you can)

(Also get used to Lions because Hero Society tends to reward Lions with places in hero courses)

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that IZUKU MIDORIYA is a true Lion. It also doesn’t take a genius to see that the guy who wants to do the All Might thing of saving people with a smile on his face seems to be very Badger-y. Izuku could be read as a Badger primary but I think that’s a model he took from All Might. Izuku has punched Bakugou in the face despite the fact that they were supposed to be working together because it felt like the right thing to do, he punched All Might later in that same episode because Bakugou’s inspiring words-well inspired him so much (Lion primaries are such suckers for passion filled words[Bakugou is the same way]), he is willing to break the law and fight a villain without permission or license to save Iida, he’s willing to break his fingers just so he can help Todoroki confront his issues with his father, even after he’s beaten down to the point of not being able to use his arms he can’t take a break he has to protect Bakugou in the Training campe, he’s willing to risk expulsion to save Bakugou after his kidnapping, etcetera etcetera.

He does however share All Might’s roaring Lion secondary. The first thing we see him doing in the series is standing up for a little kid who got beat up. He is also however modeling Bird, after his Lion Secondary was burned both literally and figuratively by Bakugou. When his trust in his instinctive charging head first into situations left he fell back on something that’ll help him, notebooking, studying, and absorbing as much information as he can. He’s good at it and uses it to bolster his Lion, but then you put Bakugou in danger and suddenly “My body just moved.” I think a lot about the Mid Term Exam Deku had with Bakugou. At the end he decides not to keep running despite how risky it is and punch his mentor and idol to save Bakugou. Also, I named numerous times he kept charging in and breaking his body in the previous section. All Might has said it before and he’ll probably say it again, when someone (usually Bakugou) is in trouble nothing can stop him from saving them.

FINE FINE FINE! I GIVE IN! I GAVE UP! I TRIED TO MAKE BAKUGOU LOOK LIKE A BIRDLION BUT HE’S NOT HE’S JUST NOT! BAKUGOU KATSUKI is a fucking Lion primary. A true Lion. I give up. 

Y’know he sorta had the shape of a Bird primary, he sorta takes in information and makes conclusions out of it. Everyone is saying I have an awesome powerful quirk, therefore I’m just better than everyone else. Deku is quirkless, there for he is useless. And he followed these beliefs so hard that when they were proven wrong he was heartbroken, literally having a panic attack, he falls before he picks himself back up at the end of the day. That’s very Bird, and also very Ravendor. And we even see later that Bakugou still takes in information like that. He remembers Todoroki’s backstory when Todoroki says there are other ways to get through to kids and he let’s him take the lead. 

(I might end up talking myself back into Bird primary)

But...It pains me to say it, I was wrong. 

Bakugou’s whole thing is that he isn’t in heroism for saving people or making the world a better place, he wants to be a hero to prove he’s the best and strongest there is (in fact I argue that that is the only reason he wants to be a hero, if this world had professional Quirkastics where you show off your strength and quirk Bakugou wouldn’t want to be a hero). He goes after Deku in the first training session because he couldn’t think of doing anything else. He didn’t decide that, he felt it so strongly he had to act on it. He destroys part of the building in that exam because he’s feeling everything at like a thousand percent and he can’t think despite the fact that it’s a bad idea especially for him as the villain. He has to be talked into calming down and not going after the villains because they were after him and going after them would make him more of a target. The idea that in the Sports Festival his win wasn’t an actual win crushes him. He’s willing to lose the whole damn midterm because he doesn’t want to have to rely on Deku all based off feelings. Bakugou sometimes tries to act before he thinks and figure things out, but he usually doesn’t. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the boy feels everything at 1,000,000% and tends to have some serious tunnel vision. And then there’s the movie, where he listens to Deku, not because he’s doing the Bird thing of taking in information, but because Deku’s words are so passionate and he’s so caught up in what Deku is saying.

And on why Bakugou is not a Snake primary. When you look at where primaries overlap, Bakugou’s primary is very intuitive, which means Lion or Badger (and he’s definitely not Badger), but it’s also very internal because he does not give a fuuuck about what people think, so Lion or Snake. But he’s not a Snake because throw fanon and out tell me, who is Bakugou actually loyal to? Deku? A lot of that seems to be because of One for All and not actually liking Deku. Kirishima? Maybe, but we don’t ever see him choose Kirishima over something else. Kirishima is his friend, but any house can have friends. All Might? Yeah he’s loyal to him, but he loves All Might, not Yagi Toshinori. He’s loyal to the symbol he saw as a child, a very Lion thing. Is he loyal to himself? He’d rather lose a tournament or a midterm than win any other way than what he wants. 

I could go on about his primary. About how he doesn’t think critically about the situation when they’re ‘Saving the World With Love’ and just assumes that they’re all bad guys and need to be thrown in jail. But I won’t because this is long enough and I still have to talk about his damn secondary. Except I’m just gonna copy paste what I originally had written. 

I got confused when I was looking at his secondary because he’s really smart and really good at strategy. He thinks at 10 million miles a minute. In Deku vs Kacchan 2 he literally does a double bluff, he knows that Deku will see him swinging with his right arm and think it’s a feint so he does a double bluff and just hits him. Stuff like that, him wearing down Kirishima and Tokoyami in to figure out their weaknesses he can exploit in the sports festival arc, finding out everything he can on Todoroki before his matches in the sports festival so he can get him to use his fire, amassing an array of special moves, and amassing more gadgets taking into account his own weaknesses to make himself stronger (and if we include the art from the fifth popularity poll where he is dressed head to toe in guns and looks more tank than man then that means even more weapons and gadgets). Even going as far back as the first episode/chapter he says that he took and aced the mock exams before the actual exam. That is shockingly prepared for someone who’s main trait at the beginning of the story is thinking he’s hot shit.

This evidence was enough to convince me that he was Bird Secondary who was modeling All Might’s Lion Secondary. I think it’s far more likely however, that he saw a Bird Secondary, maybe even Deku’s specific one. He does say in Deku v Kacchan 2 that he can absorb information to, and said “I can do that but better.” His real secondary is Lion however. 

His first instinct when he finds out that Deku has a quirk now is to charge at him and demand he tell him what’s going on, he blasts off all the time literally into battles, he flat out refuses to lie even to save his ass, when he finds out that the villains are looking to kidnap him he just keeps fighting and fighting, he yells and lets you know exactly what he thinks about everything, and you can get him to do anything by saying he can’t do something. In terms of what is debatably canon, he sees Deku in the first movie and immediately blasts over to him to yell at him and question him, he doesn’t even question the fact that there are villains in the tower and jumps immediately into attacking them like it’s the most natural thing ever, in the second movie he jumps at the opportunity to attack something and is uninterested with everything else. My favorite example is the “Save the World With Love” special episode where Bakugou has the chance to not immediately charge and pull a more strategic move and straight up gets bored with it and bursts in to find a dead fake villain and doesn’t care about finding out who killed him because the villain is dead. The boy has a good Bird model but like hell he’s gonna let you forget that he is a Lion secondary first and foremost. He’ll straight up throw it away if that gets to boring for him. 

(I think I’m gonna make a separate post for how Bakugou and Deku house sharing affects their relationship, also because this post is so long and tangenty already)

ALL MIGHT said he wanted to be the symbol of peace because the people needed one. All Might shoulders the burden and is willing to destroy himself so that the people can have peace of mind. His heartfelt loyal Badger primary mixed with his charging bursting Lion causes him to sacrifice himself time after time.

And he’s a Lion secondary, but that was obvious. United States of Smash. 

TODOROKI SHOUTO is a healing ex-petrified Snake primary. His primary was burned at a very young age so he could possibly be an extremely burnt Badger primary but I doubt that. He does things because his friends are in trouble and he always goes off on his own to do things for himself. He’s the one who let’s a petty grudge get the better of him, and Deku has to yell at him to fucking get his head out of his ass (ah, Lion communication, don’t you love it?[oh yeah and Deku already told him to get his head out of his ass in the sports festival arc, because Todoroki still needs a lot of help]). After Deku’s speech to him he begins his healing process and it’s clear that he’s building himself a Snake community. As of now he’s got Deku, Bakugou, Iida, Momo, his mom, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and (possibly) Endeavor (ugh) in his community which seems like more than it is.

Todoroki is a Lion secondary, and a powerful one as well which means he can totally get away with charging into battle with boring attacks. Todoroki has met very few problems that he couldn’t just throw a wall of ice or fire at and call it a day. And even then the plan ends up being, I’m gonna stick my hand down this dudes throat and flash freeze/absolute zero him to the point where there’s six feet of ice shooting out of his mouth and HOW IS HE NOT DEAD?!

URARAKA OCHAKO is a Badger primary, who makes friends like it’s no trouble. I thought about putting her as a Snake primary because of her love for her parents and wanting to provide for them, but honestly I think that was too much of a reach. She’s a Badger, she does hero work because she wants to provide for her parents, but also because she wants to see people happy afterwards.

We have our first Badger and not Lion secondary with her as well. She almost always uses teams to win, combo moves on the fly are her bread (her first special move was a combo) and butter. When she’s alone she turns to using hardwork and pushing herself to her limits. Although during her fight with Bakugou she does show some Lion charging, which I think is a sign of the hero society enforcing its ideals on people (and also her copying Deku). “I’ll win and be just like Deku!” (Which I hate, way to take her battle away from herself) Still, she’s a Badger secondary first.

IIDA TENYA is feral, the boy is good at playing a Bird primary (it’s his model), but the boy is a strong Lion primary. Either that or he is a very stubborn Bird and vigilantism was totally justified in his truth, but I’m sticking with my guns on the Lion primary. His brother died and he feels that justice is deserved, so he goes to enact some vigilante justice, but then he gets schooled and also in trouble for doing the vigilante justice and he tells himself he can’t do that anymore. His Bird model was probably built to help him reign in his slightly unhinged Lion primary, and I suspect he might’ve gotten it from Tensei who seems to be Bird primary from what little we’ve seen of him. Tenya later also struggles with his Bird model when the gang wants to save Bakugou and he eventually goes with his gut.

(I suppose Iida could be read as Snake primary, but he seems like too much of an idealist to be a Snake)

Iida’s secondary is obviously Bird. He studies, he analyzes what he’s done wrong, he learns skills to help himself as a hero, he’s really good at it to. When planning his revenge on Stain he researches him and singles out his patterns, he finds the skills for heroism in the smallest things like learning how to cook, and he finds out Uraraka’s quirk and how it works so he can prepare against her. Boy is a strong Bird primary.

(The only time I would say maybe he’s not is that scene where he immediately punches Deku, but I think that’s just frustration, and if you wanna talk about the times he kicks at stuff-that’s hero society forcing people to preform Lion)

KIRISHIMA EIJIROU’S got a Lion primary almost as strong as Deku’s. He wants to rescue Bakugou no matter what during the kidnapping arc, when a Badger primary would probably be more content to let the pros handle it. When he was a kid he tried jumping in to fight a villain because he felt it was the right thing to do, he just didn’t because he was scared (he knew he should jump it because he felt that was the thing to do, but he was to scared to). He does things based on feelings, and saving Bakugou is the biggest example.

He’s also sporting a Lion secondary to boot which I don’t feel I really need to explain. He doesn’t plan, he mostly just attacks and takes hits, and he almost always jumps to help or save people (and if he doesn’t it’s because it’s in the past).

AIZAWA SHOUTA is a lovely double Bird and is the only character in this series that I’ve seen thus far without a hint of Lion. Aizawa decides whats right based on logic and as such his ideas are usually really outlandish, especially considering hero society. Who knew that things that are logical could be so out there. He only keeps the kids in class after the kidnapping incident only because All Might retired and he acknowledges they need more good heroes. Most of his other students he expelled he re-enrolled, as he logicked out that it would help them grow as heroes and give them a wake up call. It would also weed out the students who weren’t willing to put anymore work in after the setback of expulsion. Even as a kid we see he was much more cautious and didn’t just do things based off feelings. Now does that mean his logic is always sound? Well let’s just say that the most recent arc is not fun for me. 

“It was a logical ruse~” I wouldn’t say this is a Snake manipulation but a Bird deciding yes that makes sense. Either way he collected skills in fighting and knowledge because of his quirk and it works well. I’d definitely say the becoming an underground hero is also another notch in his Bird secondary belt. He’s got a knife, caltrops apparently, a scarf he can control and grab people with, and cool ass goggles with eye drops in his pocket. He’s smart. I love him.

I intend to keep things varied up like I usually do, but I will consider my options when doing polls in the future regarding these kinds of things.

Miscellaneous Questions and Comments

Starting off, let me address a few things people have mentioned I missed in this survey.

Hyper Expansion

-I kind of include this along with the other expansions, however my personal preferences usually steer me towards nothing too big with my stories. It’s very rare that I go anything beyond the size of a house for anything.

Bodypart tf ( butt tf, breast tf E.T.C)

-I find that very similar to inanimate object TF, but I can see enough differences to make it a different category. That being said, I’m not sure I’m too fond of the identity death usually associated with these.

Femboy

-Noted and definitely on the table depending on if the right story comes along.

Cavewoman/De-Evolution

-I originally had this on the poll, but I decided it’s more lumped into the Personality TF category.

General inflatable transformation like pool toys. Also flattening.

-I consider those part of the inanimate object TFs. As for flattening, nothing against it, but my usual repertoire consists of making things grow, not the other way around.

Head, hand, leg, and other body part inflation

-I’ve done head expansion to a certain extent in my recently done Raven slob story. As for the others, I think they’re a little to niche of a topic for me. Not forbidden, just not something I’m particularly interested in.

-Considering the positive reaction to both the inflation and fart category, I would have to assume this is a definite yes for most of my audience.

-This has always been something I’ve wanted to do, but could never think of a good scenario to place it in. I’ll definitely put it on the table once I find the right premise for it.

-For demons and angels, I feel like those should be included with the personality TFs. As for creatures, that depends on what we’re talking about. May need to do separate polls for each type to gauge interest.

-I tend to avoid going dark in my stories, this is due in part to the prevalence of bad ends I’ve seen in most fetish content, especially things like hentai or doujinshi. Like I’ve said, it’s not off the table, but I usually prefer to keep things on a lighter tone in my stories.

-For stuff I don’t enjoy, it depends. If it’s a fetish I’m not into, I treat it as way to try out some new things and vary up my writing ability. Whether or not I learn to appreciate said fetish is another matter. That being said, I’ve made it well known what fetishes I won’t touch at all such as rape, scat, or vore. I find that I don’t have too much of the second problem since I keep finding ways to vary things up with similar fetishes with either varied scenarios or interactions.

Summary

Thank you everyone who took the time to answer the survey and let their opinions be heard. In the end, we had over 200 people participate to give a pretty sizable sample size. I may consider doing several more of these in the near future to focus on specific topics and cover things I may have missed.

                   Why you should get into Black Clover.

I know some people are undecided on whether or not they should give Black Clover a try, so I came up with a list of reasons why they might like the series, and why I think it’s worth the time. If you have any to add, feel free to!

1. Asta is an amazing protagonist. He was born without magic in a world where everyone had it to the point that the only means of transportation are magic-based (spatial magic, brooms that you have to feed your mana to etc), and as an orphan in one of Clover’s outskirt villages to boot. Yet Asta worked hard every day anyway, and through his own efforts became the 2nd physically strongest character after Yami. Because of this, he got a Grimoire from which (so far) three swords can emerge, and which allowed him into the Magic Knights. Asta’s main sword cannot be held by anyone else both because of its massive weight (which Asta can easily endure because of his physical training), and because the sword sucks the person’s mana out of them (which doesn’t affect Asta since he has no mana).

Despite always seeming cheerful and headstrong though, Asta actually suffers from deep-seated insecurities and depression. Being the only person without magic in the world, he was subjected to ridicule, discrimination and comparisons ever since he was a young child; and in the beginning of the story he almost had his breaking point, had it not been for Yuno’s words helping him get back up, which is when he swore to never come close to giving up again, as well as made sure that his personal issues wouldn’t interfere with his self-image and relationships.

Asta also tries to understand his enemies, where they come from and what drove them to act that way, as well as tries to help them. He doesn’t like going straight into the fighting, and would much rather settle it verbally, since that wouldn’t result in any casualties. He values life, and doesn’t want to see others throw theirs away for something that could be easily resolved with words; so every time one of his enemies dies of their own volition, Asta is shaken by their actions. He also has respect for most of his enemies, and was even seen picking flowers and putting them at the enemy’s grave while being saddened by their death, even though he had no obligation to.

However, Asta does want to hold bad people accountable for their actions instead of symphatizing with their backstory right off the bat. He will understand their motivations, but if they’ve already done the evil deed, they’ll have to deal with the consequences and make sure they’ll never do anything like it again. Like I hinted above, by “consequences” I don’t mean death. Asta never stands for the death sentence, and instead tells his enemies that they’ll have to spend their lives making up to the people they’ve hurt, both by serving time in prison, and by apologizing and outright helping others. After they atone for their sins, Asta is also wholeheartedly fine with becoming friends with them and helping them be better.

Asta is a truly inspiring and refreshing character, and has come to be one of my favorite characters of all time, even though I don’t usually fall for the protagonists. He’s humane, kind and has a certain charm that drags you in; and he’s per overall a feel-good character who motivates you to be your best self.

2. Black Clover has the best fleshed out female characters in all of Shounen so far, and they’re not sexualized. It was made obvious in the latest popularity poll, where we had 5 women and 5 men in the top 10. The only issue I’ve seen from the fandom regarding Black Clover’s female characters is that “they all have a crush on someone”, but that’s wrong. Black Clover has some great female characters that don’t have anything to do with crushes and romance, and the most striking example is Mereoleona. Other than her, we also have Theresa, Puli, Dorothy, Fragil, Nebra, Grey, Mariella, Kahono, Charla, Elf Fana and the Witch Queen.

Noelle may have a crush on Asta, but it’s not her defining trait. She has her own personal issues that stem from her backstory, and she works through them as the story progresses. She gets plenty of character development, and a lot of screentime. The anime tends to exaggerate her crush on Asta for the giggles, but the manga handles it pretty well. Mimosa, Charlotte and Charmy are all strong women whose crushes only come in second place to their actual parts in the story. Their crushes aren’t there solely for the trope either, since they serve as one of the girls’ motivations to get stronger.

To top it off, the women fight on equal grounds with the men, and some of them are even stronger than the best male fighters in the series. Mereoleona for one, is done so well that even the men watching the show had to admit she’s probably stronger than Yami, who is one of the strongest people in the entire series, Asta’s mentor and one of the fandom’s favorites.

As for the sexualization, there have been three instances in over 200 chapters that I can think of, one of which was in the anime and I am fairly sure Tabata didn’t even want to add them in (I’ve read a post once that said Shounen Jump probably has an agenda of a minimum amount of fanservice they push onto all their authors, and it’d make sense if it's true).

3. Yuno is different from the typical Shounen rival in a refreshing way, the rivalries shown in Black Clover are generally healthy and the show makes a point of showing you’re always stronger when you’re supported by and working alongside your friends. Yuno doesn’t “turn evil” & isn’t on bad terms with Asta; instead, he’s supportive and genuinely wishes for Asta to thrive and become his best self. Their rivalry is based on mutual respect, friendship and trust, and they’ve known and lived with each other since their early childhood.

While Yuno does encompass the “gifted kid” trope, he never once thought he was better than Asta, and instead of gloating about his magic, he continued to work hard magic-wise and physically (which many wizards tend not to, especially the gifted ones). He holds similar values as Asta, and wishes to become the Wizard King to make the country more accepting, equal and overall a better place. Because of this, the end of Yuno and Asta’s rivalry could go either way, since both of them deserve the title of Wizard King, and there’s no way to tell which one of them will become the Wizard King for sure, even though Asta is considered the main protagonist (I sure hope Asta will, though).

Other important rivalries are Luck and Magna’s, two misfits who prank but nonetheless still respect each other and who would go to amazing heights to make sure the other is alright; Asta, Yuno and Leopold’s, which helped Leopold grow; and Nozel and Fuegoleon’s, who have a slightly more tense rivalry, but who have competed since their childhood and who care for each other despite some of their moments of animosity.

The Black Bulls are a prime example of the found family trope, and their relationships with each other played major parts in each of their character stories.

4. Black Clover deals with several issues we also face. One of the main themes of the show is classism, and the way the poor and the disabled struggle in the corrupt system made by the rich and abled. Despite being orphans from the country’s outskirts (meaning one of the poorest places with the least amount of magic in the entire kingdom) Asta and Yuno’s goal is to attain the title of Wizard King, who is the strongest and most beloved wizard in the entire kingdom. To do so, they have to gain the citizens’ support and approval, and tear down the walls that oppress the poor and uplift the rich; but because of several centuries of discrimination, most royalty and nobles believe they are superior to the peasants, and that’s painstakingly clear from the moment Asta and Yuno leave their village and head for the more noble-populated cities.

Family problems and abuse are present in a good chunk of the Black Bulls’ stories, but the blame is never put on the victims. Instead, each of them gets their own arc in which they deal with their trauma, and it’s all handled well. Their issues don’t magically stop in their respective arcs either, but rather that’s the starting point of the change.

There are also several instances thorough the show that deal with suicide (mostly from the enemy’s side), as well as Asta’s great distaste of it and attempts to stop his enemies from killing themselves for their cause. Asta’s speeches on this topic are always positive and motivational, and I like reading them since they make me feel better, too.

Another shared issue is the racism, which also delves further into genocide. I won’t say too much as to not spoil it for those of you who will read/watch Black Clover, but this theme is related to the humans and the elves.

5. On that note, there are several races in the Black Clover universe that we know of so far. They are the humans, who the series is mainly focused on; the elves, who play a very big part of the show’s first saga; the devils and the dwarves. It’s likely that we’ll also get introduced to more races as the story goes on, and so far all of them have been done nicely.

6. The art style of the manga is stunning and the anime is also getting good. Per overall, I’d say the manga has the better aesthetics, but the anime does come in clutch with some of the fights (a couple of them were also extended in the anime, which was great; and Black Clover is known for its use of different animation styles in fights), while the music also helps add a certain feeling to the scenes that didn’t hit so hard in the manga. The Black Clover anime’s openings and endings are by far one of the best in all of anime. Even if you don’t plan to watch the show, you should definitely watch those. Currently we have 8 ops & eds, and they’re all bops. They’re one of the many reasons why Black Clover has become famous, anime-wise. 

Also, since I’ve seen a lot of complaints about Asta’s voice in the earlier episodes, it does get much better. The VA was new so his voice acting wasn’t too good, but it’s really come a long way since and it now fits Asta’s character perfectly. You should give it at least ten episodes before you make an opinion on whether to continue or drop the anime version (although I’d say it gets really good after thirty).

7. The series lets you choose what kind of pace you want. If you’re into faster paces, then the manga’s the perfect fit for you. Some people complained that the story moves too fast in the manga, but I personally like it. If you’re into slower paces, you can try checking out the anime. Since Black Clover’s an ongoing anime rather than one split into seasons, Studio Pierrot had to try and stall for time so the anime wouldn’t close in on the manga too soon; meaning the original content got stretched over a couple episodes, but nothing too bad.

8. Black Clover doesn’t have many fillers. People complain that it does, but it doesn’t. As of right now (ep. 96), there have been 5 purely filler episodes, out of which some were recap episodes. Other episodes have had some filler mixed into them, but it’s not obvious and it does add well to the story. We also got Yuno’s first mission (ep. 13) and the Light Novels animated (ep. 55-56 & 85-86), and those are to be considered canon.

9. The mystery of Asta and Yuno’s backstory pre-canon. The series takes a different approach with the protagonists’ backstory, and instead of telling us everything outright, it only shows Asta and Yuno as babies, left at the door of a church in Hage village at around the same time, 15 years prior to the story. At the time, they only had their names written on their clothes, and Yuno also had a necklace. Right now, we still don’t know who their parents are, what were the circumstances of their birth, if they’re blood related or not, and how come they were both left in the exact same spot, nor why there out of all places. I’m assuming this will be important later on in the series, since one of the arcs has already teased a possibility that was denied by the end of said arc.

10. The story mainly takes place in the Clover Kingdom, but there are three others that will become a focus later on. Diamond Kingdom, a hostile country that deals with black magic, human experimentation and wars; Heart Kingdom, a neutral country rich of mana that prefers to remain unseen and whose citizens use an unique style of magic; and Spade Kingdom, the most massive of the four, and also supposedly a militant country of winter. So far in the story we have learned several bits about the Diamond Kingdom, while the information on Heart and Spade is still very new and brief. This does for a nice change of settings. 

Also, since I’ve brought up the ‘unique style of magic’, Black Clover has a great power system, based on the elements and their subtypes, and even the most bland-sounding magic you never even thought of, can do wonders.

11. Black Clover is a funny show and it has various types of humor. Not only does it have comedic relief, like with Sekke, Yami and Gordon, but in the anime we also get Petit Clover, which is a short and usually amusing chibi-styled moment at the end of each episode. This was derived from the manga’s omakes in the same style and I’m guessing it had some success, since earlier in the year we also got an entire Petit Clover-styled series, named Mgyutto! Black Clover.

I’m a fan of both the manga and the anime, so I’d recommend reading and watching the series, but it’s fine no matter which you choose, and I hope I convinced at least some of you to get into this great show!

Pairing: Poe Dameron x Reader Word Count: 4,724 Synopsis: Poe and the reader begin to establish their plans for the Resistance, Poe’s on Yavin-4, and the reader’s on Naboo. “So, what do you think?”

Poe looked around at the remains of the old rebellion base. The frame of the building was intact, but everything else had fallen to shambles. The technology that remained was so out of date that it probably wouldn’t have started up, if not for the fact that thick Yavin-4 branches had grown through them. There was a rustling throughout the entire building, signaling Poe to believe other creatures had taken control of the base since the rebellion abandoned it so many years ago.

Truthfully, it was a mess, but it was the best mess Poe had seen in while.

“I think it’s perfect. It’ll be a hell of a lot of work, but I think we can make some of this stuff work for us.”

“That’s what I thought, too,” Kes said with a smile. The older Dameron surveyed the room with excitement but found that the same joy wasn’t in his son’s eyes. “You okay?”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.”

“You’ll see Y/N again soon,” Kes said. Poe looked up at his father and smiled.

“I’m not so sure. Our lives are on different paths right now.”

“Yeah, but they’ve both got the same destination,” Kes said, giving Poe a reassuring smile. “So, I think we’ll start storing our supplies here. I know that we’ll run operations out of Serenno, but this will start off as a storage hangar until we can find a better location.”

“Sounds good to me. Now, all we need are those supplies. And people willing to fight. And about a million other things I don’t even have the time to list.”

“Relax,” Kes said with an easy smile, “We’ll figure it out. It’ll all come together.”

“Well, I admire your confidence.”

“You should try to embody it sometimes,” Kes said, walking out of the old base.

“So, what do you think?”

“I think we’ve had this conversation before,” you said with a sigh, closing the book in front of you.

“You cannot deny the benefits marrying Lin Ral would have,” your father said.

“Yes, and that’s exactly the kind of thing that one looks for in a marriage. Benefits!” you said, crossing your arms across your waist, the puffy sleeves of your dress ballooning out around you.

“I would be so good for our people. For the galaxy.”

“For political ties, you mean. Once the Senate is rebuilt, there’s no way that a Serenno delegate would refuse to side with a Naboo delegate, I mean, after all, we’d practically be family,” you said, batting your eyelashes mockingly.

“What’s so wrong with political ties?”

“Absolutely nothing. It’s the forcing of marriage in order to retain those ties that I have an issue with. Now, has anyone gotten back to you yet?” you asked.

“No, but we’re still hopeful,” he said, although his tone didn’t convey his message.

“And Mom?”

“She’s meeting with some friends from other planets. Everyone’s still grieving, Y/N, it’s going to take time to—”

“I understand.”

“I know you do,” he said. You went back to working in silence for the next few minutes before Henri spoke again. “You doing alright?”

“What?” you asked, looking up from your book. “Of course. I’ve just got a lot on my mind.”

“Poe?” he asked.

“That’s the first time you’ve said his first name in two years,” you said, watching him in surprise.

“What happened with the two of you?” he asked.

“You made us get divorced, remember?” you said cynically.

“I mean this week.”

“Just Resistance stuff.”

“I just don’t want you to get hurt again,” he said. You tried to take his word sincerely, but knowing that he had been one of the ones to push you away from Poe, causing you to hurt more than you ever had, it was difficult to believe him.

“I still know my place, Dad. I have a duty to Naboo, and until they kick me out, which is entirely possible, considering I left them to the First Order, this is where I’ll stay. And I hope, once this is all done, you won’t push me one way or the other.”

“I only want to do what’s best for you.”

“So let me decide,” you said, giving him a gentle smile. “I’ve been reading up on the reformation of the Republic after the Empire was defeated,” you said, changing the subject.

“Good,” Henri said, pulling his chair closer to yours. “Anything useful?”

“Yeah, the death of the Emperor and Darth Vader was a big rallying cry that it was okay to finally go against the Empire,” you said. Your father laughed slightly and nodded his head.

“Well, we’re making progress. Supreme Leader Snoke is dead.” You nodded your head and studied the text in front of you for a few more minutes.

“What made you decide to join the Rebellion?” you asked.

“There had been rumblings all around the galaxy. In small increments, people were starting to see the progress that the Rebellion was making. No one liked the Empire. We were all ready to see it end, we just didn’t know how we’d get there yet. I was inspired by it all and wanted to be a part of the fight, but it wasn’t until I spoke to Sarsa that I knew what I had to do.”

“Broden convinced you?”

“Yes. He spoke to me about how the galaxy could be. He basically reformed the Republic back then on his own. He had so many ideas, it was hard to say no to him.”

“So you didn’t,” you said.

“So I didn’t,” he agreed. “Broden was charming and persuasive, that’s how he gets people on his side. You do the same. People around the galaxy don’t want to hear what older generations like Broden and your mother and I have to say, they want to hear from the people who will be leading them out of the dark.”

“Dad, I—”

“I know, you don’t want to pursue a career in the Senate, but I think you’d be foolish not to.”

“The Senate is your and mom’s territory, not mine. I can barely do this queen thing.”

“Well, I would tell that to your polling numbers. Since your return, they’ve already gone up by three points. You inspire something in people, Y/N,” he said as he stood. He gave your forehead a kiss. “I’ll see you later. I’m going to Sullust to meet with a friend of mom’s from the Senate. Think you’ll be alright without me?”

“I think I’ll manage.”

“Call me if anything changes.”

“I will,” you said, “And do the same.”

“I will. Love you,” he said, walking out of the library.

“Where is Henri off to?” Broden asked as he stepped into the library a moment after.

“Sullust.”

“To get more allies?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“It’s a shame we can’t bring them all in one space. It would be much simpler to address them en masse, instead of sending what little allies we have all around the galaxy.” You nodded in agreement and suddenly picked up your head.

“Why don’t we?”

“Why don’t we what?” Broden asked.

“Why don’t we bring them all together? We can throw a banquet here, invite all of our friends from around the galaxy, all of my mother’s connections from the Senate, and speak to them all about our cause.”

“It seems rather risky,” he said, “What if someone wasn’t loyal and leaked our mission to the First Order?”

“Then we’ll invite only those we trust, or we won’t reveal too much. The First Order knows that there are people out there who want them gone. Our coming together won’t surprise them.”

“When do you suggest we have this gathering?”

“As soon as possible. I can reach out to my parents and the Resistance. We’ll bring Leia along and a few other Resistance members to stoke the fire. This will work,” you said, touching his hand when he looked less than enthusiastic.

“I think it might, but I’m not sure,” he said with a frown. “But I do trust you. I’ll get the staff to work cleaning up the grand hall.”

“No, no, I don’t want this to be too fancy,” you said. “However it looks now is fine. I can have my handmaids clean it up and decorate last minute, but right now we need to focus on rebuilding the village. Too many of our people find themselves without a stable home. I am glad to keep them in the palace, but I know they would eventually like to return to their own homes.”

“I know. We’ll continue work on the village. I’ll oversee it, if you want to plan this gathering.”

“I will,” you said with a smile.

“Perfect,” he said, smiling back.

“You want me to come to a party?” Leia asked in disbelief as she stared at your holographic image.

“Not a party,” you said, “We’re wasting our time flying around the galaxy to gain our allies. If we have them all together in one room, it would save us time, and they could see all of their friends joining along, and want to join, too.”

“It’s a great idea, but why do I have to come?” she asked.

“Because you’re General Leia Organa. People listen to you.”

“Sure, they used to—”

“They still do. Hell, I wouldn’t have joined the Resistance if it wasn’t for you,” you said. Leia smiled.

“It’s been quite some time since I’ve schmoozed with politicians.”

“Then don’t schmooze,” you said, “Tell them the truth. Everyone here will have been affected by the destruction of the Hosnian System. These people aren’t stupid.”

“Alright, I’ll be there,” Leia said, a little reluctantly.

“Glad I have your support and enthusiasm. How’s it going there?” you asked.

“We’re doing alright. We’ve been flying back and forth between Serenno. I explained to Lin Ral that we’re working on setting up a new base, which he is very excited to hear about once we find it.”

“He’s just eager to help,” you said. “Although, I know what you mean. I’ve put off inviting him to Naboo all day because I don’t want to deal with his excitement.” Leia laughed softly. “So, you’ll bring a few Resistance stars with you, right? I need some people working the room to ensure that we can flip as many people as possible to our side.”

“Absolutely.”

“Thank you, Leia.”

“Of course,” she said, lifting her hand to shut off the transmission.

“Wait,” you called.

“What?”

“How is he?”

“He’s doing just fine. He’s in his prime right now,” she said with a smile.

“Good, good.”

“I’m afraid he won’t be joining me to your party though,” she said. “I’m sending him and Kes to Bespin this evening.”

“Bespin? What do you need from Bespin?”

“Lando,” she said with a smile. “You were, of course, our first choice for this mission, as he took a liking to you so long ago, but Poe needed to return his ship to Grakkus the Hutt anyways, and they agreed on a Bespin drop off.”

“Well, that’s great,” you said, trying to mask your disappointment.

“It is. Lando will be a great friend to have back on our team. He’s one of the most persuasive people I know.”

“Oh, believe me, I know,” you said with a laugh.

“I’ll talk to you soon,” Leia said. “May the Force be with you.”

“You, too.”

As you signed off, the door to the conference room inside of Serenno’s castle opened up, and Poe walked in. He was wearing his formal Resistance clothing, an annoying habit that Leia had asked him to pick up while they stayed on Serenno, surrounded by counts and other high-ranking members of Serenno’s government.

“You asked to see me, General?” he asked.

“Yes, I just wanted to check in with you before your trip to Bespin. Is your father all set?”

“Yes,” Poe said, walking up to the table and sitting next to Leia. “He’s convinced that Lando will be eager to help us.”

“You’re not so sure?”

“He wasn’t so eager when we reached out to him the first couple of times. I still think it was because of Y/N that he agreed to help us.”

“He never could say no to a pretty face,” Leia said demurely.

“Well, then it’s a good thing I’m going,” Poe said, offering her a smile.

“It is. But I’m afraid that means you’ll miss out on a party on Naboo.”

“A party?” Poe asked, “Who the hell is throwing a party in times like these?”

“Y/N. It’s not necessarily a party, but a gathering of our closest allies.”

“To bring them over to our side?” Poe asked. Leia nodded her head. “It’s a good idea. I’m gonna miss it while in Bespin?”

“Yes. But I’ll be sure to tell you all about it.” Poe laughed.

“Well, thank you. When did you hear about this?”

“Y/N called a second ago. You just missed her.”

“How’d she seem?”

“Good,” Leia said, giving him a gentle smile. “She asked about you. I’m sure she wanted you to be one of the Resistance stars I’m supposed to bring along with me.”

“You don’t like this plan?” Poe asked.

“No, I think it’s a great plan. I’m just not excited to have to go back to my old political roots. Politicians can be a nightmare,” she said, relaxing in her seat.

“Oh, I know. Who are you thinking of bringing?” he asked.

“D’Acy, of course,” she said. “Javos is always good with people, and has firsthand experience with our fight, so I’ll probably bring her along. And then I was thinking Finn and Rey. Who better to preach our mission than a reformed First Order stormtrooper and a powerful Jedi who overtook Kylo Ren?”

“I can think of few better.”

“If we had our best pilot, I know we could really persuade them,” she said with a smile, touching his hand.

“I’ll be there in spirit.”

“I’m sure you’ll be in at least one person’s thoughts.”

“She’ll surely be in mine,” Poe said, offering her a weak smile.

“Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be invited to the next dinner party.”

“Hopefully,” he said with a laugh. “I should head back to Yavin-4. Any other advice for convincing Lando?”

“Tell him if he joins he can go to all kinds of parties with pretty politicians,” she teased.

This was the first night in many that you had to once again put on heavier makeup than your regular look. Tonight, you would be speaking to your parents’ friends, grieving family members of the destroyed Hosnian System, and other Resistance-hopefuls, hoping to convince them to join in your fight, and you would need to do it as Bhavisama. Loré stood in front of you, putting the finishing touches on your makeup, while Sondé tied your hair into a long, flowing ponytail down your back. The makeup didn’t cloak your face, it just enhanced every feature you had, as if showing off that you were truly the real Bhavisama, and not Sondé in your place.

“Almost ready?” Nové asked, stepping into the room with your gown in her arms. Sondé came in behind her, carrying the hoop skirt that would go underneath.

“Yes,” you said, standing up, “Just waiting on the dress.” Nové helped you into the hoop and then dressed you into the gown, zipping the back for you.

“How are you feeling?” she asked, as you looked at yourself in the mirror, checking for any unqueenly imperfections.

“Good. A little nervous, but good. You’re coming, too, aren’t you?”

“Of course,” she said, giving your hand a squeeze. “I’m going to be one of the schmoozers.”

“Did you talk to Leia?” you asked, snapping your head around when she used the former princess’s exact wording.

“We may have run into each other in the hall.”

“Whatever. Call it what you want. I’m just glad you’re going to be there with me.”

“Loré and Sondé will be there, too.”

“As silent handmaidens,” you said, frowning, “I wish you all could work the room. It would mean I would have to do it less.” Nové laughed as she looked at herself in the mirror, fixing her matching dress slightly.

“I know,” she said, “But we can never be too careful. We don’t want you completely on your own. We don’t know who we can trust yet.”

“I know,” you said, taking her hand, “It’s just frustrating. All of this is.”

“I know. But at least Lin Ral will be there.” You rolled your eyes.

“He’ll be good at convincing people.”

“Oh, I’m sure he’s good at a lot more,” she said under her breath as she walked towards the door. You picked up the pillow closest to you and chucked it at her head. She very nearly ducked and looked back at you with a quick wink. “See you down there.”

In the first twenty minutes of entering the grand hall, you had already spoken with three former members of the Senate. As you quickly learned, many people were off planet when the Hosnian System was attacked. Although more representatives were lost than spared, and everyone was still grieving, there were still plenty of fighters ready to take on the First Order, albeit a little reluctantly.

“Before you even start,” Senator Avania Rebianakl from Manaan began, “Lin already spoke to me.”

“Oh,” you said, dipping your head.

“No, not like that, child,” she said, taking your hand in hers. “Manaan wants to see the end of the First Order, too. Whatever we can do, we’ll do.”

“Thank you, Avania.”

“Of course. Those bastards deserve to rot for what they did,” she said. You nodded your head and gave her hand a soft squeeze. “I know there are some others here who will be less than eager to join your cause. Go on and talk to them. I’ll try to convince some of my less than enthusiastic friends, too.”

“You’re the best.”

“I know,” she said, giving you a smile as she walked away. You let out a sigh and turned slightly, ready to talk to another member of your party.

“What? Don’t tell me Avania changed her mind. I wasted almost all of my charm on her,” Lin said as you almost ran into him. He grabbed your forearm to steady you and gave you a smile. It was clear he hadn’t wasted all of his charm.

“No,” you said, backing up slightly, “She’s still on board.”

“Good.” He smiled at you, taking you in for the first time that night. “Might I say that you look very lovely tonight, Your Highness.”

“Thank you,” you said with a diplomatic smile, “So do you.”

“How does it seem to be going?” he asked, moving to stand by your side as you surveyed the room. From afar, you could see your father and Leia talking to a few of his friends he had brought along. Commander D’Acy was showing Finn and Rey around the room. The pair never left each other’s side, although many of your party guests tried to break them apart. It wasn’t every day that a reformed Stormtrooper and a Jedi graced the halls of Theed Palace.

“I think alright. I’ve got a few people who swear they’ll help in all of our upcoming battles, but whether that comes true or not . . .”

“It will,” he said, giving you a kind smile, “People are ready for some real change. They’re tired of living in fear of the First Order.”

“I hope you’re right.”

“I am.” You looked up at him and smiled.

“Thank you, Lin.”

“For what?” he asked.

“Your confidence. And for being by my side through this. It is much nicer than doing this with my parents,” you said. He laughed and nodded his head.

“Glad that I could be of some assistance.”

“Y/N!”

You both turned to see Suralinda moving towards you, sporting a dress that only she could have pulled off, bringing along a young woman with her. You and Lin gave her kind smiles and introduced yourselves. She introduced herself as an old friend of Sura, Meg Junari. She hailed from Chandrila, one of the planets that had lost all of its representation in the destruction of the Hosnian Systems.

“I am truly so sorry for your loss,” you said.

“Thank you, Your Highness.”

“Meg thinks she might know of a place for our new base,” Suralinda said. You looked at her, your eyes wide as you tried to keep your regal composure.

“What did you just say?” you asked.

“Meg knows the perfect spot to set up our Resistance base again. It’s got hangars for all of our ships, storage facilities for supplies and food, and accommodation for all of our troops, it’s—”

“Suralinda, can I borrow you for a moment?” you asked, looking from her to Lin. He took the hint and suddenly started up a conversation with Meg about Chandrila’s beautiful flora.

“Don’t you want to hear about the base?” Sura asked.

“No,” you said quickly, as you pulled Suralinda to a quieter corner of the room. She looked into your eyes and began to shake her head.

“What?” she asked.

“The whole point of this dinner party is to—”

“Flirt with that guy from Serenno?” she asked, jutting out her hip. You breathed through your nose as you tried to keep your cool.

“The whole point is to gain allies. Maybe a few resources. Your friend, Meg, seems perfectly lovely, but I don’t know her. Can you vouch for her that she is completely trustworthy? That she won’t turn her back on us and give away this base if given the chance?”

“Yes, I can. She’s been my friend for ages,” she said, her voice getting a little louder.

“Well, then, why don’t you go suggest the idea to General Organa. See what she thinks of it,” you said, beginning to turn away from her.

“I will,” she said as you walked away.

Loré and Sondé hadn’t been far away when you talked with Suralinda, and the second you stepped away from her, they were right by your side again.

“Are you okay?” Loré whispered. You continued to walk around the room, greeting people and thanking them for coming.

“I’m fine.”

“What do you think General Organa will say?” she asked.

“I don’t know,” you said truthfully. You stopped in your tracks and looked around the room for Nové. Once you spotted her, you sent Loré to go fetch her, and together, you and your handmaidens stepped out of the hall and into one of the secret hallways built into the palace.

“Is everything alright?” Nové asked as you all crammed into the tight hallway, tucked away behind a thick curtain.

“Suralinda Javos thinks she has found a new Resistance base location.”

“Why aren’t we more excited about that?” Nové asked.

“Because the person who has procured this base is a friend of Sura’s, who no one else knows.”

“Like Lin Ral was when you suggested a base on Serenno.” You nodded your head, taking a deep breath.

“Well, it still has to go through General Organa, right?” Sondé asked. “And Poe is still working on the base on Yavin-4.”

“I know, I’ve just got a bad feeling about this.”

“Why?” Loré asked.

“Suralinda wants the best story. She doesn’t want what’s best for the Resistance.”

“If that was true, I don’t think Poe and Organa would trust her so much,” Loré said.

“It is true,” Nové intersected, “Jess was telling me all about her. She’s more concerned in the best story than in doing what’s best.”

“I don’t want to doubt her credentials,” you said, shaking your head, “I just need more information. Especially on this Meg Junari. If this really is the best course of action, then I’ll be all for it, but it seems almost too convenient that Junari has the best location to fit every single accommodation we need. I can’t look into her, but . . .”

“Say no more,” Sondé said. “I’ll get started now. I’ll reach out to some of the guards, too.”

“Thank you.”

“Now, we should really get you back to the party, my lady,” Nové said.

“I know.”

So as to not draw attention to the secret passage, the lot of you took the hallway which led out to the terrace outside, and then made your way back into the hall. After another hour of deep discussion with everyone who would talk to you, your mother grabbed your arm and led you over to a Rodian man she knew from the senate. He introduced himself as Barth Hoangid’y, a merchant who specialized in supplying ships to both sides.

“My mother’s best friend was our elected representative,” he explained sadly, “She practically raised me. Whatever you need, I’ll get it for the Resistance.”

“Thank you so much,” you said, grasping his hand.

“Of course.”

Your mother led him away and went to introduce him to your father. As you looked across the room, you found Sura’s unmistakable dress and saw that she was talking with Leia. Her hand gestures signaled that she wasn’t delighted with what Leia was saying, and she quickly turned away from the general, only to run into one of the waiters. She, the waiter, and his tray of food clamored to the floor, turning every head in the room.

You moved towards them quickly, helping to stand them up. A thick syrup now stained the ends of Leia’s gown, but she kept her cool.

“I think maybe it’s time we leave,” Leia said firmly, keeping her face looking as kind as possible.

“I don’t want to go, yet,” Suralinda said, shaking her head. Leia reached for her hand but Suralinda quickly pulled hers away.

“You’ve had too much to drink, Javos,” Leia said, her voice growing more serious by the syllable.

“I’m fine,” Suralinda said with a snort, “Is that why you don’t agree with me? Because I’m drunk?” she asked, hiccupping on the last word.

“No.”

“Is it because she told you to?” she asked, pointing in your face.

“Let’s get you out of here,” you said as the crowd around you started to grow larger. “I’ve got a nice, comfy room you can stay in.”

“Don’t touch me,” she said, shaking you off. “I’m not your friend.”

“Suralinda,” Leia said firmly. You held up your hand to her.

“It’s fine.”

“No, it’s not,” Suralinda said. Your royal guard had started to step closer, but you signaled them back. What you didn’t need was for this to get any worse than it already was. “You got into his head. He only made those decisions because you were there. And now, we’ve lost almost all of our resources and we’re shit out of luck,” she spat.

“What are you talking about?” Leia asked, holding Suralinda up as she started to slump.

“Poe. She got into his head. She brought all that shit to us, and that’s why we’re here now, pretending that everything is fine. We can just party! It’s not like the entire fucking galaxy isn’t in danger!”

“Alright, it’s time to go,” you said, grabbing her arm firmly as Leia grasped her other. Your parents quickly got to work dispersing the crowd, but they couldn’t look away from what was happening.

“Things were so much better when you were gone,” Suralinda said, “When it was just us.”

In the hall, Commander D’Acy was waiting anxiously with Finn and Rey. Finn put his arm around Suralinda, and she didn’t fight anymore as he led her to the rooms you had blocked off for them.

“I’m so sorry about all of that,” Leia said, catching her breath. “She’s not usually—”

“Don’t worry about it,” you said, giving her a smile.

“And what she said about Poe, it isn’t true.” You gave her another smile but couldn’t find the words to say. “I should go check on her.”

“Of course.”

As she walked away, you took a few moments to calm yourself before returning to the hall. Her words had stung, but none more so than when she said ‘us.’ The way she said it – it wasn’t the Resistance she was referring to, or even Black Squadron, it was her and Poe.

I skipped ahead with my video summaries for his Speaks channel because I heard a lot of interesting things about this video and I wanted to watch it myself. After this I’ll go back to where I left off and continue to write summaries for videos I find interesting.

I want to note a week before this video he stopped making his Speaks videos fundraisers / for charity. (You can see the word Fundraiser under the videos if they are for charity.)

He says this is probably the last OnisionSpeaks video ever. He’s jokingly said that in the past and have done a lot of “I quit” videos, but back then he was trolling. This is not a troll and you don’t have to believe it him. You’ll see it’s true when he no longer posts videos to this channel.

(Times the internet called the police and animal control on him stories, pizza delivery trolls.) He implies you guys are hypocrites because you call animal control over alleged abuse toward animals, but then you’ll pay for animals to be killed and sent to him when you would order meat lover’s pizzas to his house. Says they’ll be studying the psychology of the stupidity of the Anti-Onision community for years.

He says he’s going to have his word here because this is his last video on Speaks.

(Shiloh said she was going kill herself to frame him story.) He says we used a video he filmed of her ranting about how he ruined her life. All because he broke up with her. He says you may not know, but some people are really like that.

He compliments his lighting in this video.

You know he didn’t do anything Anti-O accuses him of because when animal control, CPS, and the police show up they all turn out to be a fraudulent cases. You guys harass, terrorize, and bully someone until you get your way. Says it’s ironic because you say he’s a horrible person yet you lie to the police, animal control, and CPS.

There’s nothing attractive about prepubescent children. Someone can’t have a pedophilic relationship with a 12 year old without the 12 year old being a victim. They are nowhere near socially, mentally or physically developed enough for such an interaction. People obsess over this concept, which makes him think they are projecting, and they project that onto him. 

(Shiloh was taken away by the police story.) He tells his viewers to look up the police report. He says his name was Gregory Daniel at the time, he lived in the Tacoma, Washington area, and it was 2011. You might find a report for “boyfriend calls cops on girlfriend for threatening to kill herself and making it look like he did it and was hauled away by police.” He says if you look further back, you will see when he called the cops on Shiloh for other things and police concluded she needs to leave him alone because he was being harassed by her.

People say Onision should be in jail, but if you look at the history it doesn’t make sense. He dumped these people for committing crimes.

(People take pictures of his kids in public.) He says that’s how sick Anti-O freaks are. He’s trying to be a good father and protect the privacy of his children. He never tried to cash in on them or exploit them. [I guess minus all the clickbait videos he made to look like he was introducing them and the videos he made about their medical conditions. I don’t mean to nitpick, I just REALLY hate those videos.]

He has an Only Fans so there’s a pay wall so only adults can see his content. He says unless you steal someone’s credit card but that’s a while other issue and illegal on their part. Anti-O leak his OF content so now it’s available for kids. They’re the most pedophilic disgusting group he’s ever encountered.

He says he has a VPN, so he activates this thing and no one can trace his IP address. He says he used an IP blocker to access- [He laughs] “Most honest Youtuber here.” [This is his first time admitting this online, that’s why he’s stalling.] He used it to access “Ghetto Definitions” or “Street Definitions” [He means Urban Dictionary] “Onision” was ranked as “cuck” and the ones below it were nice. He wanted the nice definitions at the top so he used a VPN to vote for the good definitions to go to the top and it worked. They stayed at the top for a while. He says that was the first time he found out about IP blockers. He’s telling you this because he’s one of the most honest people you’ll ever encounter and lot of you are too stupid to know that. [Yep, pretending to be multiple people to manipulate a website that is based on voting is very honest.]

Says a lot of the people against him have admitted to being liars and he’s telling you he’s honest. That’s how stupid you guys are.

He made a poll asking if he or Hitler killed more people. You guys said Onision did, that’s how rational you are. Morons, cult of inbreds. [He was obviously looking for that outcome. That’s why he made that poll. He knows people will pick him because they think it’s funny and not because they are going off of historical facts. No one makes a serious poll asking if they killed more people than Hitler.]

He says “Ghetto Definitions” is now all filled with evil definitions that call him horrible things.

He says according to the CPS lady, someone reported Onision posted to Twitter that he was going to r-a-p-e and murder his family. He asks why would someone “r-a-p-e”? Murder? Go online and brag about it? He says it makes no sense. He says you’d mask your IP if you’re going to say something horrible online so it can’t be traced back to you. Says he’s never used a VPN to say something horrible, but doing that would be common sense.

This is why he’s quitting this channel. People can’t handle him having a controversial opinion or him kicking people out of his life for cheating and lying.

She took the email he sent and said he’s trying to manipulate her. [I guess I missed the part where she was scared? They streamed three times and he rejected her recently for a stream?]

Blaire White is the one who started the witch hunt against him. She read off a news article that was bull crap. [It was not. You can read an archive of the article here.] She got canceled for admitting to taking hateful online rumors and using them in videos. He says she kind of canceled him in 2016, but he got re-cancelled later on. She was one of the leading voices against him when talking to Chris Hansen.

He says it’s one thing to go after him, but when you go after his family, we can’t do this anymore. You guys are fucking monsters so why would he grace you guys with his insight?

You guys have heroes like Jaclyn, Blaire, Repzion, Hansen and all these people who lie to you. They take your money and piss in your mouth and call it lemonade. The truth is right in front of you, screaming in your face and you only listen to Blaire and Repzion.

She’s a fucking adult and he wasn’t interested in her. The orange shirt guy tried to reach out to the girl after the stream ended. It was actually orange shirt guy who wanted to fuck her and he was projecting.
