I'VE BEEN DOING PRETTY ALRIGHT!!!! >:D I've already mentioned this before BUUUT yesterday my grandma came over to do my hair after who knows how long..I think the last time she did it was when I was 12?? so it's been four years :'D and she was a little sloppy in the beginning bcz it's been so long but she got the hang of it pretty fast!

AND IT TOOK SIX. HOURS. tbh that's not that bad--if I actually went to the salon it would've taken longer :p bcz they have multiple ppl to work on ykyk but that's okay. My mom and grandma were talkin a lot about some random stuff while doing my hair like how much my grandma hates her coworker and yadyadyaydaysh and they fought abt a few stuff but got over it super fast--their relationship is just super rocky so a lot of convos they get mad at each other for something xD but it's okay 'cause I was minding my own business playing on my vita and reading tbhk >:D AND I HAD HALF A CARTON OF ICE CREAM!! IT WAS SO GOOD ABSHFBDSAHBF I WANT SOME NOW but I haven't had breakfast yet SO I GOTTA EAT THAT FIRST xD

so now my hair is thisssss black and red mixture?? It looks better than it sounds I promise BAHSBDHSAB the red isn't like neon or anything so it's fine ! It's more of a burgundy to be honest--which looks pretty good with the black! My mom picked it out bcz she wanted me to match her :3 her hair is a similar color :D only thing is I hateeeee having my hair down so that sucked to deal with while it was getting done :'D I just don't like longer hair tbh it gets in the way when I'm trying to do like.anything. and I don't like how it feels when it goes down my back--so I usually have it in either plaits or a ponytail. OOH YES AND ON MY VITA One of the games I was playing was the battle pentagraam and there were a few kyosaya moments I noticed in some stories that were suuper cute <3 !! I wish I took some screenshots!! (I think I took like.one xD I SHOULD'VE TAKEN MOREUGHHGUHGU. maybe I can still show later when I transfer them from my vita to my laptop!! :3). I also played some project diva, im@s and neptunia! :D

Mostly Romani, a lot of family initially from Turkey

Living with her parents who have pretty much always been hands off if not straight up neglectful

Family split mainly between Illinois and Louisiana

Has always been very loud and brash

Similar to Richie, has some weird word choices, says things how she thinks it without regard for whether the other person will understand

Has always been very active, bit of an adrenaline junkie

In high school, treated her volleyball team like family

Was a little more wild and into it than some other girls but they definitely thought of her like family too

Then, junior year, during the season, she got transverse myelitis and could no longer be on the team

Especially with it being such a fucked up time for her, it bothered her that they continued to bond and hang out together in a way she couldn’t

She isolated herself from them, and they tried to fit her back in, but she just dug her heels in further

By senior year, she had fallen in with a much different group that she never really connected with like she did her volleyball team

All of the stress along with the distraction of always feeling pins and needles through her legs tanked her grades, and she ended up kind of lost after graduation

She went from working at a Dairy Queen to a furniture store then it was The Beef that stuck

She got hired at 19 because Mikey could tell from her interview that she would be a blast to have around and hired her on the spot without figuring out any logistics of her chair, including whether she could even get to her station (barely)

She was hired with Marcus, and they instantly hit it off

She did not however hit it off with Tina, she reminded her a little too much of the kids she met in her horrendous job search in Napkins

They got off on the wrong foot, but they definitely got used to each other

She has this sort of tray that attaches to her chair, so if she’s just kneading dough or something, she can camp out closer to everyone else

She had this sort of challenge with Mikey going all the way back to the interview for him to come up with a joke about her she’s never heard

Almost a year later, he did it with “Oh shit, you’re trademarked and everything? Should I have been copyright claimed or someshit for hiring you?” When she told him about her transverse myelitis (TM)

She’s never been the best at deescalation, especially when she’s also pissed off, so her and Michael were definitely not great to have near each other at times

Because she seems so little (she’s really 5’7”/Carmy height), it shocks people that she has absurd, insane upper body strength

She loves arm wrestling people because of this, especially big strong guys

She has beaten Richie, Chuckie, Chi-Chi and Ebra (easily), but Mike and Marcus remain undefeated

She beat Tina and was way too smug about it

Saw what was happening to Mike, and became really abrasive toward him about it “Knock it off, stop being a pussy, and get your ass up” type of deal

Thinks about that a lot, especially since Carmy came to run The Beef

Was definitely uneasy at first, but didn’t mind the changes too much

Loves cooking for people, bringing joy, comfort food specifically

Didn’t super vibe with Sydney, seemed like she wanted to change too much, and Bella was definitely on Richie’s side for that one

Once managed to convince Carmy to do an arm wrestle, and he lost, but it was unclear whether he gave up to stop wasting time or if he really just has that weird bodybuilder muscle without much strength to it

Was kind of obsessed with Carmy’s additions to the dinner menu, just straight up Italian comfort food

With Review, everyone’s positive character arcs are what fucked them up (Marcus finding a passion in baking so he makes donuts instead of cakes and Tina brings Louie because she thinks he can learn here like she did), and her contribution was being more comfortable staying home on days where the pins and needles in her legs turn into definite pain

So she comes back, and suddenly, everyone’s inexplicably on edge

Then she’s the one to spot the fire Carmy started and yells for someone to get the extinguisher

But after they start talking about renovations, she gets kind of worried

It sounds less and less like the home she’s found The Beef to be, especially the menu

When they do the renovations, she gets a lot more space and her own shortened desk space and stove, and it heals her worries a bit, knowing that she’s still included in their plans for the future

She’s happy for Marcus, but she feels like she’s missing something when she tries his dishes, they’re great but they don’t make her happy

Throughout season 3, she struggles to keep up with Marcus’ exponential growth and strongly considers quitting, but she doesn’t want to leave the family she’s found

(And just like every other thing in season 3, we’ll be left in suspense to see how it resolves in season 4 lmao)

I only learned transverse myelitis existed today, so if I got anything wrong about it or more generally, the wheelchair user experience, I’d love to learn more and correct it

But yeah, I feel very strongly about her and I think you should too. I might even write a fic about her, we’ll see

9. General physical contact headcanon (questions here)

I think that between Macha's constant need to be in motion or delegate and Gale's constant need to think or dictate neither of them are particularly into PDA. It's just not practical. That being said if they're at an event where they can't be side by side, Gale doesn't think twice about kissing her in passing and Macha will openly brush his hair back or rub his shoulders for a moment before they both move on.

I think that once Macha really gets that Gale is here, like oh, he's not going to blow up and oh my god oops I have a husband, she becomes a good passive cuddler. Gale will be reading in bed and she'll tangle around him. She'll hug him from behind and rest her head against his back while he is relatively stationary at a task in the kitchen. Gale is very big on little kisses, her temple, her forehead, along her neck, across her arms, whatever way makes sense on the day to day.

I think on lazy days Macha is a chest and back rubber when positioning allows and Gale will pull Macha's feet into his lap and give her a foot massage while he explains whatever new thing he's working on or fills her in on the new deviancy of his worst students (who are all Macha's favorites tbqh).

I imagine Macha's particular barbarian clan having a lot of practical braiding AND ceremonial braiding and I think when Gale has had a rough day or seems tense she makes him sit in the floor in front of her and she braids his hair. He gets so many little scalp massages and she even rubs out the near permanent knots he has in his forehead and brow from thinking too hard all the time.

As they get older I think couples stretches and like... coupled pilates positions becomes a whole thing. Gale is hunched over desks and uses his hands so specifically to cast all day long and Macha's training changes but never stops and both of them had a life chronically in survival mode even before the events of BG3 and that's hard to shake. Practical maintenance becomes an excuse to touch one another and a way they connect at the end of their day, particularly if he has to stay focused for whatever reason and she's maybe in a place where she gets a bit distant and quiet.

OBJECTIFICATION: BOOM! SOLID! NOTHING! IN FACT AMY IS IN HER... 50s? I can't count. She's been there for 36 years. and like yeah, she's maybe unrealistically slim, buuuut they gave her this neat hodge-podge armor that she made which bulks her out and the rest is like, Karen Gillen has slim arms, it's fine, and they did actually age up her face so she does look older and not like A M*ffat Fantasy older either

and younger Amy is also chill in this one, she's just vibing... well, she's not vibing, she's having a terrible time. but see beloooow on how that episode goes about writing her terrible time

PLOT-POINT: aaaand fuckn! winner *dings bell* it's all about herrrrr it's about her abandonment, it's about her relationship with Rory, it's about her ability to survive on her own and what it could do to her as a person, it's about the shit introduced on Day Flipping One (first episode)

and it does it well! scenes that in days of yore might have cut from Amy to centre on Rory and the Doctor (am reminded of her grief over Rory being erased from existence being undercut by the camera focusing on the Doctor, or about everything related to her with her pregnancy and Demon's Run)

this is the definitive Amy Exploration and while I've said I'm not the biggest Karen Gillen fan in the past, I think she was good in this! she has this kind of weariness to her, a bluntness, an awkwardness in the way she speaks and holds herself, the script and the makeup give her so much to do that doesn't mean she has to be attractive all the time, and it's so good for her ability Do Shit

COMPANIONS MATTER: this one sidelines the Doctor for the companions! it's all about them, they make the choices, they drive the plot, the Doctor is there to do a bit of science and facilitate the story for and about them!

“GODLIKE” DOCTOR: see above point! such a good choice to put him in the Tardis and not have him present when Amy makes her choices (also because she might have just killed him lol)

the one Part where he takes control is the tragedy at the end, and he gets pushback for it, it's not a brilliant solve for everything that everyone claps at him for, it's a sad simple necessity that's got a streak of pragmatic cruelty in it and echoes back on his relationship with Amy, and while young!Amy doesn't get to react too much to that, I think it's fine, because older!Amy does and says goodbye to Rory and young!Amy would never quiiite get that emotion I think, simply because she didn't live it

she was a bit antagonist with her older self, but not being too weird about her being onboard, but I imagine there's a small part of her that might be partly relieved or slightly discount older!Amy because she no longer exists

the one thing perhaps is that we won't know what they told her, and because this show has depicted Amy being kept out of the loop "for her sake" before, it's not like... 100% unreasonable to imagine the Doctor and Rory might pretty up the story again

but not knowing how that goes down is fine. it's a little mystery at the end of the episode

PREVIOUS DOCTOR WHO: there's not much of that in here and tbh I don't think there has to be. it's about Amy, not the Doctor's past

it hasn't got anything that's actually "low" it's mainly just that not every episode needs to refer back to classic!who or have big political messaging, it was pretty fucking Solid!

one thing I would say that wasn't covered in the Rating is that I'm not vibing with this title. I understand where it's coming from (referencing back to kid Amy), but I think while it is examining that childhood anxiety, Amy is simply... not a girl. and in the grand *waves hands* everything of M*ffat, he really likes titles with "girl" in them, which is I imagine therefore not this writer's choice

Girl in the fireplace -- okay, it's the first time, it's fine The Girl Who Waited -- ehhh not a fan, but I guess Amy was a girl who waited, it's a bit reductive for the episode The Impossible Girl -- oh, come on this is silly, it's flattening out the whole character into a plot device The Girl Who Died -- *shakes fist* M*ffaaaaat stop!

I talked to George and Sapnap about the possibility of me flying out to Florida from Ohio, just so I could surprise him with my face in real life and see the guy that became one of my closest friends and the guy I also secretly liked. They both agreed that it would be a great plan and I booked my ticket and now was currently on my way.

Dream POV

The countdown was less than two hours. I never knew that revealing my face to anyone would be so nerve wracking, to be honest. Y/N was one of the closest people I had, and she always made my day. The way she laughed, the way she gave smiles, even when she facetimed me crying at one in the morning about a guy she was gorgeous. The so called Ogs are Lamera, ZZZ, J'aimekiel, Grandefel, Kxxxtr, Ngah and Combfa. Everyone after this was designed a notable amount of time later and with much more "process" to them)

I have some thoughts but it's fuzzy and vague? Okay. So I thought I should definitely do one lion (esque?) at least bc *points at old religious art of angels* and they just have those Vibes to me, ykno? I associate angels with certain things that I try to employ in the story's characters (to an extent). Grandefels vibes were.. Guardian, maybe a tad like a sphynx, just ykno, a huge feline statue like entity who guards something and is like a scary immovable force ig? I wanted some ethereal aspects to it, and lots of teeth (hers aren't visible here but the whole underside of her body opens up to a huge ass mouth with teeth everywhere). Now, initially I was gonna have her hair be lilac but turn bright blue in some situations but I WAAAY preferred the blue on her. She's supposed to have Blue flames mixed with galaxy vibes. Like if blue flames were a puddle and that puddle was a lion's mane. And it was all. Cool and semi-physical

Onto how her design adjusted overtime.

I think most firstly I stopped drawing the grooves on her body that would open up to reveal the Teeth, I mean I do still allude to them vaguely but I figured the way I was doing it at first looked kinda.. Eugh? Another thing I quickly started changing was her hair texture. Originally I wanted it to be completely straight and smooth and flowing but it looked way more interesting and more galaxy esque with it being bubbly and cloudy. I guess my initial thought was that I wanted it to look like it was flowing out of her head? Like some water?

(This anthro drawing also demonstrates the way I nowadays moreso "allude" to her hidden mouth but the anthro version here isn't too close to Canon otherwise since I gave her face an actual normal mouth too lol)

Oh yes, and the crown is another major change!

I think my first notable adjustment was made here (note also the flowy hair). If gotten an amino commission (No money, just amino coins lol) of her and really liked the way the artist drew her crown so I took after that and started slowly changing it. It took me a while to be satisfied with, though. In the very beta version, it was supposed to be like a ring/circle. If you look at the older drawings up there, you can see that one horn is meant to be drawn on the "front" and the other behind. It's like if you looked at her from straight up, you'd see the three dimensionality of it, being more like an actual halo instead of one solid headgarment. I do still really like this idea, however I just think it looks better as it is now. I also had a fair bit of finagling with the side horns, frankly I always found them ugly so I'm finally happy with how they look (just realising I haven't drawn her in a bit, so, the anthro pic is the most accurate to her current design if we ignore the uh.. Anthro-ness lol)

One more thing! You don't see her halo too often in these, but it's intended to be drawn tilted. It's not straight (just like her), and tilts a bit down on one side. In universe this is kinda viewed as an imperfection and she used to be ashamed of it. The irl explanation for it was that it couldn't fit straight between the horns, with the way I'd formed the crown, and so I kept it that her halo just is that way! It fits oddly between her crown and I think that's neat!

Apparently on that last picture I decided to draw the halo straight, though? Cringe... :/
