Basically, my philosophy around disability fakers is: I would rather a thousand people fake a disability than have one disabled person suffer without care, aids, compassion, or any help.
#disability#disability advocacy#and there's a difference not many people seem to recognize between faking and realizing you don't have [x] problem...#...such as realizing you don't have [x] disorder because it is instead [y] disorder...#...or you haven't completely understood your care needs/your symptoms/what helps you...#...and some people see ANY change in your understanding of your disability as proof of maliciously faking...#...when i suppose in my personal experience people don't *maliciously* fake disability...#...i'm not saying it could never happen but that i don't think it's the *only* thing motivating people called fakers#i just think (like most everything) this is complex and nuanced because it's a *human* experience#like for me personally i /know/ i still have a lot to learn about my disabilities...#...like... i realized recently that my hands shouldn't be in AGONY when warm water is ran over them when it's SLIGHTLY cold inside or out...#...and i realized that i likely have a Noticable limb difference that needs checking out. does this sound like i'm faking...#...or that maybe i just didn't really explore my own needs and body because of a variety of factors?#i can assure you it is because i haven't really thought before about how i deserved to understand how to best help myself

#in stars and time#isat#siffrin#josh art tag#happy pride yall!#getting to play as a nonbinary protag who is also ace was just so so cool#im hoping to draw the main 6 with their flags for pride#cuz this game and its lgbt-ness makes me so happy and its awesome that its canon!#i also really love the varied relevancy of the lgbt themes#cuz its certainly not the plot of the story#but some characters lgbt-ness is quite important to their backstory or their current struggles!#while for others its just kinda there!!#and i think thats great#its a good reflection of real life and how different people have different experiences being lgbt and how it affects their lives differently#and works well with the story#it doesnt get in the way at all while still being important to the characters#and it even fits into the worldbuilding so well????#truly if there were no mentions of the Gender Themes i think the worldbuilding wouldnt have been quite as good#mirabelle specifically really gets to me...#prolly cuz im. yknow. aroace too#but seeing how she felt she was betraying her religion? how she fept she needed to change to fit other peoples expectations?#and how earlier in the game she does actually say breaking traditions is also a part of the change belief#but she doesnt realize that can extend to her#it all hits really hard for me

#mine#origami#manticore#RED#what a lovely sendoff to this red wax pastel.... completely different feeling depending on your screen I'm afraid.#for me it's sharingan levels of hurt on mobile and almost disappointingly orange on desktop.#do switch around your devices for the complete manticore experience.#this is adapted from a winged lion model by Mauricio Flórez Pinzón#I'll make a post with a link and some photo resources#basically the only changes needed was a modification of the tail and a bit of unfriendlyness added to the mane#his was more inspired by st marc's lion i imagine#too much of a cherub vibe for my purpose#otherwise absolutely excellent model#very easy collapsing#GREAT weight distribution: despite my moving the tail to the center and the head being pretty voluminous is still stands on its 4 legs#i had no problem of the model opening up and flattening itself or anything#and there are plenty of sculpting possibility#all the while the shape is pretty understandable already from the collapsed model

You know what also doesn't make sense?? People are translating or clarifying the offer katsuki made and saying he was asking Izuku to be a SIDEKICK, and not open/partner at an agency.
But you know what, that doesn't really make sense either!
Bc they're also saying that in the MHA universe, sidekicks do not get hero ranked. And in the case of being katsukis sidekick, Izuku would be working under Katsuki.
So hold up!
You mean to tell me that Katsuki, who wanted to compete with Izuku, and race him to the top, who has long, LONG since gotten over his desire to put Izuku in his place/lord over him/boss him around,
You mean to tell me he wanted Izuku to be his SIDEKICK?
How can they compete like that?
Why would he want Izuku in a position where he couldn't compete on an equal ground? That was what he always wanted and worked for.
I'm just saying it's fucking weird that thats what katsuki asked for, because that's not what Katsuki has been trying to work for.
Isn't Katsuki wanting him to be a sidekick under him kind of defeating the purpose of his development, of the whole 8 hear process he went through to get Izuku back out into the field? Is this not inconsistent?

MK’s monkey form doesn’t feel right to me so i wanted to break up his transformation into stages. Maybe as he learns to accept that side of himself it becomes part of him, instead of changing between human and monkey randomly (which is probably painful). Love yourself, NOW!!!

I’m going to put way too much thought into it and say its some sort of repression#also I made the hair on the sides of his face more attached or growing on the cheeks so it kind of frames it#maybe it’s because his design is so top heavy on his head and that’s why the sideburns feel wrong to me#like it’s fine with Swk and macaque because their hair is more like a tuft. but MKs hair is longer it just feels less balanced shape wise#I also don’t see his tail being very strong right off the bat because it’s. a new limb so the muscle has to be underdeveloped imo#I’m still a firm believer in the face mark XP system though. that is his Minecraft experience bar fight me#ALSO ALSO going back to him flashing between human and monkey. lately, i've seen more people in the online autistic community acknowledging the struggles of people with higher support needs, which is of course an important development. but for some, that seems to come with the implicit assumption that low needs autistics "have it easy" or experience no stigma at all, which is just wrong??? people with low support needs are still disabled by their autism and still face discrimination because of it. sure, they are impaired to a lesser degree than those with higher support needs, but that doesn't mean you can just erase their struggles, y'know?
#sometimes i see posts that are like 'its unfair to say that autistic people have it easy and arent really disabled...' and go yes! exactly!#but then they'll continue like '...because not all autistic people have low support needs'#and i'm like. okay nevermind you dont understand this at all#i have comparatively mild autism (was diagnosed with aspergers back when that was still a thing)#and my autism has still significantly impacted and impaired my life#i think its important to acknowledge the huge range of experiences in the autistic community#and that many others have struggled much more than me#but that doesnt mean its all easy breezy for me and other lsn autistics yknow?#(i guess i would technically be considered medium support needs or something but that's because of my chronic illness not my autism)#i wish people would just. like. listen to other peoples experiences before just assuming that they know everything about their lives#ofc a huge part of this is also some lsn autistics distancing themselves from hsn people and pretending that they're not actually disabled#but not every lsn autistic is like that. and even the ones that are are usually (consciously or unconsciously) downplaying their symptoms#autism#actually autistic#actuallyautistic#this isn't really about the post i just reblogged btw it just reminded me of it#because some of the notes on it went in that direction

Art should be a comforting experience!#No matter how long it takes smhh#I remember my partner had a really bad art block for like a year but they are still going strong with their art! Never feel discouraged!#Also another one is sometimes a messier lighter sketch is better for more dynamic pieces#If ya work too hard on your base it can lead to your piece feeling flat and too stiff#Go crazy go stupid! You might be surprised with what you can accomplish!#Don't be afraid to go outta your comfort zone with art stuff! You might find details you quite enjoy!
