#My art #UT #Sans #Papyrus #Ft. something smol and I do on a regular basis ♪#This could be Handplates or it could be classic Undertale I leave that up to you lol #I definitely picked up a lot of the style quirks lol - but there are some of the ones that I like myself! Like Papyrus' darkmode clothes lol #And Sans' shorts having the stripe in the front haha - little details ♫#Realistically it probably is Handplates tho just based on where my head's at lol - I love the Handplates dynamic :D #Handplates #I talked myself into it! Pfft ♪#I found myself relating a lot to Sans especially while rereading - I want nothing more in the world than for my siblings to be happy! <3 #So I gathered up a bunch of ideas of things especially me and smol do together and this was the most obviously cute one haha #Easiest to do! Tho I did still go a little extra on this lol #I'm trying to do more digital stuff ♪ It wasn't the best art day and I'm still a little nervous to jump right in :')#Not doing any sketches on paper beforehand feels weird but I guess it is thematic in a way lol #And I'm still pleased with how they turned out hehe #It really does feel nice to be drawing them again <3 #And doing silly sibling things! Hehe #I dunno how clear it is since it's so ingrained into how smol and I talk to each other lol family language!#One of us will literally just announce ''bonk'' and the other will prepare for/lean in for a headbutt haha #She is a tiny bit taller than me - it's not quite /this/ extreme but she does lean down for me! #Prowl deserves that #especially since they all keep expecting him to behave like a crazy scared horse/j #I was spending a lot of time watching videos and reading articles about wild and captive orcas #sorry it's a bit unrelated just don't mind the tags kflgmdbd #yeah so. I remember going to aquarium a bunch of years ago and seeing those performances #I was absolutely AMAZED by orcas because as a kid I was kinda obsessed with them haha #watched a lot of documentaries. all about wild orcas #so shortly after I went to the aquarium I tried to look for their stuff on the internet. some recordings and photos and names of the animals #there were A LOT of people SCREAMING around that content. Telling everyone that those animals are abused and suffering #-and shouldn't be held captive. Calling the aquarium “the orca prison” and stuff #I remember how annoyed I was seeing them. Because the staff cheerfully told me that “see they live happy they have a lot of food and-#-and nothing to worry about. What else can they want?“#I was so pissed at those “crazy hysterical eco activists” because they were actively ruining such a fun place #Now when I know better I wish I could meet those people and thank them #they got what they were fighting for. well. mostly they did #Hunting orcas is illegal now thanks to them #and breeding stopped too #they refused to let their last surviving Orca free (she was caught. not born in captivity) but they stated they won't try to get more orcas #Every time I see something about wild orcas it's so amazing and every time I see what humans do to them it gets more horrible #With all that said. If someone is still reading this haha. I now have another idea for a character who's gonna suffer immensely #because I went to see what exactly those activists vere fighting against and now I have some fresh fucking ideas

Maybe the problem with Christian fiction is that it's non-denominational. People are just "Christian", with no effort put into showing what practicing that religion looks like for them specifically. No indication that there are other Christians who could have different beliefs. No wrestling with differing ideas and the struggle of how one should live out their Christian faith. And that makes it unrealistic and unrelatable.

#me reading any christian historical fiction set in england: why are none of these gentry anglican??#they ARE all anglican and if they are not it is extremely plot and character relevant you can't just have them using evangelical buzzwords #but i'm also thinking of this because i started another charlotte yonge book #that is by far my favorite of the things of hers that i've read #because it has characters who have different upbringings and religious opinions #instead of just 'here's a bunch of high church anglicans judging people who don't live up to their victorian standard'#you have the very high church anglican rector whose wife is worldly but still a very good person #the girl raised in a very strict protestant family who is more scrupulous than the anglicans but is still recognized as a good person #you have people who are trying to work out the nuances of different issues #and that makes it so much more realistic and so much easier to integrate into the story #(the politics though are hilarious)#(most of the classics that survive are the ones that were 'ahead of their time' in politics)#(so it's equally fascinating and refreshing and a bit infuriating to see one that is very very of its time with regards to women's rights)#('why did this woman get up at the meeting and explain her very good ideas for rebuilding after the fire? she should have had a man do it')#(meanwhile i'm just screaming 'why on earth SHOULDN'T she???')#(it's almost enough to make a feminist of me)

Because when your Thing––your identity––starts to faulter #it can really make you freak out #And that's not healthy for the project or for myself. I need to find the fun again and I'm sure I will #I'm really appreciative of everyone's support in my inbox and replies it really does mean a lot especially given that about 2/3 of my #followers followed for mlp. But if you're gonna react to me saying “i'm gonna cool down on mlp art and draw my own stuff” with “i'm #disappointed in you." then Leave! I am SO grateful that ed and stede exist as characters exactly as they are. I'm so grateful for these two men who are traumatized and messed up and struggle to even like themselves, who are terrible at communicating, who make enough mistakes between the two of them to fill an entire ocean. I am so grateful to watch them struggle and be seen and be loved and reach out for the things they want and are maybe starting to believe that they deserve. I'm so grateful that the show lets them fall in love and get together exactly as they are, that it doesn't say they need to wait until they've become some unattainably perfect version of themselves before they have permission to have that. i am so grateful for ofmd

yes! some more directly reference ai images id generated than others lol

#these were made in artbreeder (formerly called ganbreeder)#theyre obviously shifting their focus to ai art if u couldnt tell by the name change #which is unfortunate but they still have available the original ai image generator i used years ago #these pics are just the ones i remember referencing #i referenced a ton of different images to get a good idea of how to make the dogs sufficiently fucked up #i have a bunch of older horror art on here that was very inspired by ai images but most of the time i didnt use references #just tried to emulate the effect of ai #i want to start using references more often so i can get a better feel for this stuff and get better at emulating that effect without them #its def challanging trying to draw something that just barely registers as a thing without drawing the thing itself #and that emulates the uncannyness of ai images #i also dont want to just draw the ai images one to one exactly as they are i more so want to create the same feeling that they create #while still having it be my own thing #its honestly kinda hard to explain the process of drawing this stuff just bc of the nature of ai images lol
