I saw a theory recently that the reason Gregory dropped Cassie down the elevator is because he was worried he was actually talking to The Mimic. What's your opinion on that?

I think that's a super good reason and would make more sense than dropping the elevator to prevent the mimic from escaping WITH Cassie, since theres another elevator underground. that plothole would be explained if Gregory cut the elevator with the intention of crushing the mimic in the crash if he thought it was the one in the elevator (or that it wasnt him who cut it at all but that's not what this is about)

EDIT: So honestly. Contrary to final poll results and my initial lean toward the grosbeak, I think I might just go with the crow. The design’s grown on me and in the last week I’ve collected many bones and observed many local crows and found myself just quietly very drawn to them. Nothing’s set in stone, but. . . It feels more right than the grosbeak- there are still things that draw me to the latter, and I still really love them and might switch in the future, right now I relate more to crows I think.

Rose Breasted/Cutthroat Grosbeak (female)

Similarities (between myself and the bird) - small and chunky - eats mainly seeds, fruits, and nuts - elusive and relatively solitary aside from nesting season - very intricate, unique nest type - monogamous - take care of young for a month after fledging (which is longer than quite a few birds) - dwells mainly in deciduous forests - I honestly think I do look a bit like a grosbeak overall - there is limited information on them (which is obnoxious, but kinda goes with my aesthetic honestly)

Things I Like About Them - very pretty markings, especially on face which makes for fun character design - they were my favorite bird as a child and I would get so excited during the brief period that they would be at our feeder

Differences - females don’t sing as much as males - I am very much a mimic- I echo other people’s words as well as animal noises a lot, mostly without thinking, and grosbeaks do not mimic. The males learn songs from their fathers, but that’s different, and I’m not male anyway.

Black Billed Magpie (cinnamon)

Similarities - eat a lot of fruit and grain - they are skilled mimics - mate for life something I aspire to achieve one day - have only been seen in Michigan ten times in the last hundred years, so it fits the “elusive bird who’s sightings should be documented” narrative - parents allow their young to stay with them as long as needed, sometimes even years - males and females are both very vocal and sing, talk, and chatter quite often - wary of new things and will shy away from bright colors and flashing lights (yes, that includes shiny things) - many widely believed myths spread about them (such as tendencies to thievery, attraction to shiny objects, and hoarding things tho I am guilty of that last one)

Things I Like About Them - Gorgeous wings and tail (though rather plain facial markings which is sad) - they’re just nice, funky little guys and they were one of my favorites when I was younger as well

Differences - not a bird I’d really call chunky lol - they eat meat (mostly bugs) and meat is not my favorite honestly - while some do only stay in groups of two, many others have tribe of up to twelve

Common Crow (cinnamon)

Similarities - will bring people they like random bits of things such leaves, rocks, lost keys, and bones, as gifts - stops for roadkill (though I don’t eat it, I’m just there to steal feathers or check opossum pouches for potential surviving babies) - bones is good, we like bones - also talented at imitating human speech, other animals, and just random noises they find intriguing - mate for life - very family oriented and good at taking care of each other. They’ve even been known to adopt unrelated fledglings - stay in the nest up to forty days after hatching and often remain with a family group for two years, helping their parents look after younger siblings - males and females are very vocal - wants to eat rocks - scavengers - likes fruits, nuts, and seeds - seen as weird or gross by the majority - slow to trust humans, but is very loyal once they do - could be considered chunky - cinnamons tend to have blue or silver eyes

Things I Like About Them - they are just. very good. - wing markings of cinnamons are very interesting, and while I’d like more intricacies to work with for facial markings, they’re still good and simple

Differences - they are very social birds (but most of that social time is spent with their family, which is where most of mine is spent as well, so I’m not sure this is a true difference) - consumes a lot of meat (which, as stated, is not my favorite) - they are very common in Michigan and easy to spot almost anywhere

Hey do you have any general writing tips? Or tips that helped you along your journey? You write very well and in this very specific way that itches my brain juts right. How do you do it?

practice.

I know it sucks, but practice is like The Answer. I've been writing like, compulsively since I was around 10 years old and I started my first novel. It was bad. It was very bad back then.

below the cut is a more deep dive into my thoughts on this (written at midnight after a 16 hour shift, bear with me)

I have attended a lot of writing workshops, I took the advanced literature and language classes, I went to writing bootcamps, i did Nanowrimo several years in a row. I have written just. So much crap. (objective crap.)

I feel like a lot of the tips that have helped me progress aren't things that I've implemented, but rather, have given me the tools to describe what I'm already doing, and allow me to do them more intentionally. Because, at the end of the day, if you're trying to force something, like using different dialogue tags, or varying your sentence length and structure (which is helpful in making your writing engaging!!) it will kinda sound forced.

I feel like my personal style and voice is impacted a lot by what I read, as well. It used to be much worse, I would basically just steal the style of whatever I just barely read (and I read a lot of Not so well written things) but it would literally change my own internal narrative. But as I've gotten older and I've expanded outside of YA literature (and read a lot more. like. a LOT) I've settled into a more consistent and personal style. Read a lot. And read good books? obviously i still love a good trashy romance novel (my Kindle history should never see the light of day) but by and large I do try and read a wide variety, including a lot of non-fiction (specifically scientific literature. I looooooooove science non-fiction and I do think that's provided a significant impact on my work)

in terms of more concrete things that i've done to improve my writing- still just practice, but with direction

-stream of consciousness writing for 30 minutes every day (I no longer do this, but I did daily for several years)

-stealing (not really) when I was in middle school, one of my english teachers had us take samples from several genres and mimic sentence structure as a way to really internalize the literary devices they were using

-annotation and analyzation. Picking apart media that I like in order to understand What is prompting What reaction. I write in all my books, i put in little notes, I break down if it's a structural thing (in the prose proper) or a story element, and how it contributes to the wider purpose of the text. It's fun.

tldr: it's practice. the answer is practice ^that is how I practice more or less tho

CATS

sebastian (sebby!). 10yo. the favorite and is very aware he is the favorite. shy around strangers but very sweet and clingy with people he’s familiar with. if one of us is on the bed, he has to be on or touching one of us at all times. very chatty and trills to his name being called every time. will literally let us move and toss him around without complaint he’s so chill. very mean to other cats when there’s treats or catnip involved.

sherlock (sherl!). 9yo. absolute chonker of a cat (20lbs). loves head rubs and belly scratches and WILL demand them if you’re in his sight longer than 5 seconds. announces every time he uses the litter box?? so we’ll know??? has his head in the food bowl or asleep on a pillow 99% of the time. only meows when he’s going to the litter box or wants pets.

prompto (prommy!). 3yo. MENACE. wants to play all the time and will swipe at you if you walk past him too many times in a short time span. thinks any small sudden noise is a toy and will run over to pounce on it every time. teeniest tiniest meow i have ever heard oh my god it’s so cute. likes to snuggle and suckles on patches of his own fur while he does it?? but then he falls asleep while he’s doing it and it’s real cute.

misty (mismis, ms. miss!). oldest animal in the house at 14yo. can’t see very well at all, so we think she’s going blind. very sweet and loves to be around people. comes running in to say hi when she hears us in the kitchen or living room. also loves head and belly scratches. does NOT like other cats so she doesn’t come in the bedroom even though she really wants to :(. we’re worried she’s on her way out.

DOG

rumlow (rum, rummy, rumple!) the only dog ! 3yo. clingiest dog i’ve ever met. literally has to be up someone’s ass at all times if he can see or hear them or he’ll die (whine and bark nonstop). thinks he’s a teeny tiny puppy still and not a 90lbs adult dog and tries to climb into people’s laps. has a big scary bark but is so sweet and lets the cats bully him (he’s terrified of prompto). neediest animal in the house honestly.

BIRDS (idk exactly how old any of them are so they won’t have ages)

matcha. my personal favorite of all the birds (i got to name him). chatty chatty chatty. knows how to say a lot of things but his favorites are “pretty bird” “pretty boy” and “gimme kiss”. he will actually give kisses if you put your finger up to the cage (sometimes he’ll bite instead if he’s hungry or cranky tho so you win some, you lose some). loves to be around people. WILL try to take your phone if he sees it, whether he can carry it or not. loves to splish splash take a bath.

bucky. sweetest of all the birds honestly. only has one little foot so he hops around everywhere. loves the color red and will sing to you if you have something red in front of him. knows the andy griffith theme and the addams family theme. loves head pets. the best flier of all the birds, though he doesn’t do it much. mostly just wants to be held.

pineapple. used to be in the same cage as bucky but bucky didn’t like her so we moved them. she’s still obsessed with him though and spends most of her time staring at him from across the room. pretends to be mean but mellows out after a couple head pets. terrible and landing when she flies and just smacks into shit. the only other bird that likes her is ramen noodle.

ramen noodle. hates everything but his bell toy and pineapple (who doesn’t even like him). very quietly mimics all the other birds and they hate it. usually if the other birds are screeching and we can’t tell why it’s because of him. idk he doesn’t do much else.

apple jack(lyn). i couldn’t get a good picture of her because she’s a bitch and wouldn’t be still. meanest bird of all time. yells at anyone that walks in the room. will try to bite you if you come within 8 feet of her cage. obsessed with her little bell ball toy and will get PISSED if you touch it for any reason. we thought she was a boy but when we found out she wasn’t, she became apple jacklyn instead of apple jack.

While I said that the new chapter of the fic is FINALLY coming this week(or veery early next week) after having to write it, scrapping parts and doing a bit of a rework and a rewrite as well...

What I really wanna say is. I had the fortune of being able to play the DLC myself right on release instead of watching a letsplay as my first impression, which would be a first when it comes to FNAF! YAY!!

I just finished playing through it finally(still missing the tird ending tho), and my mind is a scramble trying to make sense and assemble puzzle pieces on a sleepy brain. Without going into detail, I feel like it neither confirmed NOR denied any of my personal fears on it and it just leaves me in a picky spot of observations, assessments, ideas, hypothetical possibilities of explanations that could go either here or there...

In other words, I enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun despite all my reservations, but story-wise(and as a person not the fondest of book lore or a couple fan theories) I'm in not even sure how to sort my feelings appropriately xD

In any case thankfully it didn't make me change my opinion on lil Gregs to be quite frank, tho he does have me thinking him over more now.

Now a lil more detail under the cut, with SPOILERS this time!!! Still not too much tho.

First, Eclipse had me FREAKING jfnjngrde I did NOT expect to see him there, that caught me SO off-guard.

Second, the V.A.N.N.I. thing still has me curious, but damn i loved that visually tho. Happy to see a Helpy in some shape way or form. With an "i" instead of "y" lol

Then there's Roxy. Though she's not my fave, I still love her to bits, so I was SO VERY HAPPY to see the way she was treated in the DLC. The bond with Cassie was just so qwq

Then oh god, the headless Freddy thing... At first I was abt to get sad abt it. Then I was like, what he doin in Fazer Blast if this is the Burntrap ending. And then I read the word "prototype" on his foot and was like, ooooh. Okay xD

I do wonder how our good old Fred is doing tho, hope he's fine, since we didn't actually see a hint of him in the game. And on the same note as that is Vanessa of course.

Okay next is the whole thing with the comic panels. Not rly a fan of basically saying all the other endings except one are less of an alternative timeline type of thing and more of, well, fiction, kinda as a much smaller extension of my pet peeve of "it was all a dream/fiction/whatever" but oh well. Don't think it's gonna stop anyone tho, least of all me.

Curious about the one that had two Gregory's in it(I know it's one of the ending panels but like, interesting choice of a panel there xD) but I suppose it could be a bit of a thing hinting to the fact that there ARE kinda two, "Gregory" guiding us being a sham

The whole thing with Gregory supposedly being stuck or trapped reeked of suspicious way before any of the Mimic stuff became known to me, since way back when I first saw the poster. Him guiding Cassie to Roxy Raceway in the game I was guarded on it the whole game, even just the littlest things like a weird and unnatural-sounding tone on a word or two and the everything... Doesn't take a genius is what am sayin. So my bestie who had to tolerate watching me play and ramble on about what i think may be happening being my witness, the reveal was an "i knew it" moment

Then post reveal when he says he's not even in the Plex anymore, there's a small part of me that is like "but what if it's also a fluke" still but under the assumption he IS the real one... He said "we" and "us" and there was someone with him, wonder if it's Fred or nah... Honestly never sure abt anything with this franchise and I'm not a big lore person or a theorist either.

And the whole betrayal thing... Not saying what he did is right, but considering the threat of the Mimic I can't really entirely blame him either. If it's genuinely him and him in his right mind (we don't talk abt ggy here thanks), and even if it's not the case, I can already smell people hating on a child cuz of a decision like they like to do

Welcome to my blog! I'm not set on a name for myself yet, but Void, Zero or Mimic works for now. I am an almost 21 years old individual with BPD, ADHD, phases of depression and anxiety (due to the BPD) and lots of other crap that comes with those disorders.

Because of my BPD, I identify as plural and (partially) nonhuman - technically I am psychological otherkin. The in-depth explanation for both is complicated and confusing and doesn't really matter to anyone who doesn't live in my brain, so I won't bother trying to explain it (/lh). My nonhumanity and plurality are purely psychological and caused by BPD - I used to be in spiritual communities but they weren't good for me and to be honest, I never truly believed in all of it. I 100% respect and support any spiritual beliefs and religions tho, in my opinion that kind of truth is personal and there isn't just "one true way" or something.

A Potentially Plausible(?) Luz Palisman Theory (for fun)

Okay so a while back I fell down a rabbit hole while researching will-o’-wisps and I came across “Boitatá”, a creature from primarily Brazilian mythology whose legend was inspired by the same phenomenon as the Wil-o’-the-wisp, and I think it would make a really cool palisman for Luz. With Season 3 now having an official release date only a month away, I thought it was about time I shared this little thought.

(Under a cut bcuz it’s a lil long, I tried my best to summarize tho ;-;. Also MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE S2 FINALE)

Small note: Ik the snake palisman theory doesn’t have a lot of evidence, but since we’re dealing with a flaming serpent just consider this an extension of that. Also plz tell me if I got smthn wrong abt Boitatá, I only found info through research, not personal experience so I’m really sorry if I anything is inaccurate!

To start, a quick explanation of Boitatá’s legend, and the ways it reminds me of TOH (there are a few versions of the story with slightly different details, but they still convey the same overall idea. So, for the purposes of this, I’ll use the version that I thought fits with Owl House the best.):

The story tells of a flood sent to wipe out the inhabitants of a forest, covering it in darkness. Some of the animals from the forest fled to a high-up cave to escape and wait for the flood to pass. Among them was a snake who had always lived in caves, and was the only creature in the group who could see in the dark. It took advantage of this to attack the rest of the animals (as well as the bodies left in the forest after the flood had passed) and eat its favourite treat: their eyes. Eventually, the snake had eaten so many eyes that the light in them made its own shine as bright as suns, and its body burst into flames. Now it roams the forests and fields at night, protecting the land and the animals within from poachers and other humans who wish to do harm.

Tbh I think that’s such a badass story I love it sm. But also the setting kiiinda mimics where we left off after King’s Tide. Luz, who lived most of her life in the human realm, has fled back to it with her witch friends after the draining spell was cast to wipe out everyone in the Boiling Isles. Just like the animals used to living in the light were suddenly trapped in darkness, the witches used to living in a world that was practically made of magic are now trapped in one where it doesn’t even exist.

A few other little points:

“Luz Noceda” translates to ‘night light’ in Spanish, which is similar to a lot of nicknames for wil-o’-wisps and the other myths based on the same phenomenon. “ghost light”, “spook light”, and the Argentinian/Uruguayan version “Luz Mala”, to name a few. She also has a big connection to light in the fact that it was the very first spell she learned, so having a palisman tied to all of that would be fitting.

Super dumb addition but, the whole “sweet potato” thing. Like, the only time it was said in spanish was when Amity used it to refer to Luz. So I just think it’d b kinda funny if the girl who got referred to as “batata” had “Boitatá” as a palisman.

the thing that makes me so sad about hw2 is how hw1 was also the exact same format of storytelling as hw2 but hw1 was so much more creative in how it told its story and how it built the story on the foundation of it being a VR game so it worked. but hw2 has absolutely none of that at least right now, but I dont think the dlc will do much to turn that around

like hw1 was literally you playing as a beta tester for a single copy game that canonically is about the old story so it using clickteam fnaf games makes sense. there being a weird glitch that can invade peoples minds makes sense since theres just one copy. the glitch existing at all makes sense bc Fazbear ent cuts way too many corners so of course itd use a decades old program (mimic1) to speed up the process of the game with AI.

glitchtrap existing at all and hw1 feeling like an amalgamation of fnaf games that usually dont fit (like baby in the fnaf 4 bedroom) makes sense bc it's an AI making these decisions with a prompt to do so and it doesnt actually know what its going. mimic taking the form of springbonnie makes sense bc he was a huge part of all the rumors and story of fnaf, even in universe.

also, hw1 had the TAPES!!!!!!! god I miss the tapes. peak SW storytelling in them

and it even makes sense to this day with all this new lore, but even tho hw2 is the most recent SW release it literally is incomprehensible. theres none of that thoughtfulness used for hw1 in it even if it could have a very similar plotline. if mimic1 invaded the Pizzaplex's employee training simulation after the pizzaplex got destroyed, it makes sense bc mimic1 is notorious for being all across the pizzaplexs network, & glitchtrap was still alive with mimic using him as cover probably

but it also doesnt really because outside of pizzaplex related minigames theres also ballora gallery and helpy training dummy and stuff like that, which does not fit into the pizzaplex training simulation theme

but the story is so all over the place bc theres wildly different narritaves ppl believe. ppl like me believe it takes place post ruin with cassie becoming vanny, other people believe it's a prequel to ruin but sequel to SB and you play as Cassies dad. if people can have that different ideas of what's going on it's not a good thing, and they swapped out tapes for candy cadet stories which are sooo much less good and interesting. they dont tell you anything and for ruin it was literally just a recap of what just happened in the same game

I'm just hoping so hard that hw2s dlc makes the story a lot more linear and understandable and like. anything at all. I have my personal hopes for what it's going to be about but at the end of the day I just want it to progress the story in any way and also make sense

Techno just. won’t. die. It’s not an immortality quirk or longevity, he’s not that old. No one really knows why Techno is so… Techno. Or what his quirk actually is, but it must be a powerful one. The amount of times Techno has survived when he really shouldn’t is staggering.

Dream has the ability to convert Experience into items. Like doing everyday actions gains him small amounts of EXP that he can trade for just about anything. Swords, wood, TNT, whatever. The more complex an item the more EXP it costs and the bigger ripple effect his action has, the more EXP he gains. So a similar quirk to Momo, but with a gamer athestic. A good way of containing his quirk is by imprisoning him, since there’s little he can do in a cell that’s worth much exp.

George: Sleeping fog. His quirk lets him send out a sleep inducing fog, similar to Midnight, but one that’s thick enough so he can use it for cover. If he concentrates he has the ability to place the location of any people within the fog and focus certain areas to be thicker than others, if he wants to made the fog more potent. He’s strongest in inclosed areas.

Sapnap: Combustible mushrooms. Pretty straighforward, he can send out spores in a certain area around him that grows into mushrooms, which will burst into flames on command.

Karl has the passive ability to visit and learn about events in the past through his dreams. But the visits come at the cost of his present day memory, which sometimes return after a period of no-quirk-use and other times are gone permanently. He also has a small chance of seeing the future.

Sam: Imprison. He can summon small amounts of netherite, which are great for containment or weapon forgery.

Charlie: Is he human? We’re honestly not sure. He might be a weird mutated creature pretending to be a human. But if he was a human, he’s a very dabber and slimey one. He has the ability to reattach any cut off limbs and split into two identical versions of himself for a short period of time.

Niki: Weapon enchantment. She can make any sort of weapon stronger when wielded against someone else. If the person thinks of the object as a weapon it counts as one. In the early days she mainly used her quirk to strengthen her friends, but now she mainly uses it for herself. She only has a certain 'amount' of energy she can enchance weapons with each day.

Fundy is able to silence his footsteps and generally does great at stealth. As a secondary quirk, he has the fox-like traits and appareance (similar to how Ashido has horns)

BBH has the ability to grow several times his base size, taking on a demon-like appearance and gaining slight fire and heat resistance. In his normal form, he has red eyes and small horns that grow much more prominent in his demon form.

Callahan has ability to mimic the voice of others, but only by taking it away from them and using it as his own. (therefore not having his own). He never does and hasn't used his quirk since he was young.

Connor has passive reality bending quirk that makes everything close around him seem comedic, like he is living in a cheesy sitcom. No one inside the radius thinks it's strange until they're out. Connor doesn't know about the quirk and believes himself to be quirkless. The quirk is self protective and hostile towards anyone who tries to tell Connor the truth. One time someone got crushed under an anvil and another got lost inside a strange sudden animal parade.

Skeepy has the ability to cover the surface of his skin with a rough diamond-like material, which gives him protection and higher durability.

Antfrost has cat-like physical traits, which includes a slightly higher flexibility, more sensitive hearing and a better vision at night compared to the average person.

I'm still missing a few, since I don't know every character well enough to make a proper quirk (and this post is getting long)

Ok so I have an au idea that I really want to (probably won’t tho) write

So their is this person (Tim) from a reality like ours. They appear in the one of the tma reality alone. They were about 14 when they arrived in tma world 2015 (I think it’s this year but I’m not good with timelines).

Well after that they were sent to high school where they met a group of 3 people (Alex, James and Jess) who were intrigued by horror and the paranormal. They became friends and Tim shows them the Magnus Archives and over a length of weeks listening to it sparingly, when they met up weekly to just hang out and discuss the paranormal, they finished listening to it. Despite how horrible and evil the archives were, it sparked all their interests in it and they all wanted to one day work for the institute. Now they started to go out looking for the paranormal, making tapes about their findings.

Cut to 4 years later.

Now their group of 4 had grown to 7; due to Tim’s boyfriend(Jack), James’s & Jess’s girlfriends (Sunny & Jane) All of them now looked like they were just a rag tag group of aspiring avatars of the eye but now rag tag group of aspiring eye avatar who were also related to the others fears. Tim with their ability to uncannily mimic people’s voice and, thought the use of makeup, wigs and clothes, look like a completely different different person. Was looking like a great avatar of the stranger. Jack who accidentally became the distortion of the spiral.

You’d think with a name like James Graves he’d be an avatar of the end right? Well no James was an avatar of the flesh. Sunny was an aspiring avatar of the slaughter. Yes James and Sunny do go on romantic dates where Sunny slaughters people and James cooks and eats them. Jess is a tall, broad, intimidating avatar of the hunt with Jane being a short, dainty, petite avatar of the web. Alex of darkness.

Well they all still make ‘mock’ statements for themselves: Tim on voiceovers, Jack on music and background sounds, James on filing. Alex and Sunny on editing. Jess & Jane on research & info gathering. Overall they’re probably in someways more efficient than the achieves. Oh yeah, they also steal from the achieves on regular initials. They might get caught very soon.

I made those modern Jack and Fitzy headcanons over a year and a half ago. I started writing a modern!AU fic since then so I developed the headcanons more and I wanted to share some of them. Keep in mind this may be a little different than what I present in the actual fic. I’m making some shit up on the spot.

So picture this: The young Jack Sparrow books taking place today and all the characters are in high school in Tampa, Florida, and the school is called...

Barnacle High School

Jack the “I was at the door when the bell rang” Sparrow:

He’s one of The Boyz🥶🥵😎 But like the stupid kind who thinks they’re better than everyone else.

He’s a troublemaker and creates a lot of mischief around campus.

Mischief includes but not limited to: pulling the fire alarm multiple times, drilling holes between the boys and girls gym locker rooms, defaced a bunch of textbooks with The Boyz drawing dicks on every single page, one time he snuck into the office and played pr0n on the schoolwide intercom speaker, a time he gave everyone “shits and giggles” (laxative and weed) brownies at a school dance and caused everyone to shit and puke all over the gym floor and it made the news,..... How tf isn’t he expelled?

Unsurprisingly he gets in fights. The fights are half of the time started by other students, but gets in trouble anyway.

Constantly interrupts the teachers to the point where they write him up or kick him out.

Sometimes fucks with the quiet kids like “Hey, mate, do you know what we’re doing?” “Can you like teach it to me?” “You can do it for me, right?” “Why don’t you ever talk, mate?”

He’s actually pretty smart but the teachers don’t like him and home sucks so he gave up.

Probably has ADHD.

Wears layers, like leather, denim, flannels, t-shirts, hoodies, jeans of various “tightness”, studded belts, many pairs of combat boots or knockoff timbs. Half his shit is from Goodwill.

Undercuts for dayyyzzzz. Think Coming Storm cut but the bottom is shaved off.

Still wears his nasty ass bandana even though the teachers always tells him he can’t wear it in class.

His makeup literally always slaps.

He likes to collect random things and sometimes puts them on his clothes or his backpack or in his locker.

Obsessed with dead things (furs, pelts, bones, stuffed animals, etc)

Has a fascination with the sea and likes the nautical aesthetic.

Bonus: Yeah he totally vapes.

Arabella the “Shut up and let me work” Smith:

She’s the “good kid” and sometimes the “quiet kid.” Jack definitely fucks with her in class sometimes until she pops off and they both get written up.

She’s an honors student and exceeds well in her classes.

She’d rather blend in with the crowd and not many students really notice her. She keeps herself contained in a small group of friends.

If she’s not with her friends, she’s probably in the library.

She’s really into Art and History.

Kind of a conspiracy nut and likes reading into urban legends and stuff.

Infodumps about her interests to Jack and he gets hella annoyed.

Jack sometimes follows her around and she gets hella annoyed but she gets sad when he’s not around.

Mediates between Jack and Fitz.

Jack and Fitzy fight over her. Jean has shown a little interest in her too.

She ate the “giggles” from Jack’s brownies. She got so fucked up she had a panic attack and left the dance really early before all the chaos began in the gym.

Kinda looks like she hasn’t really left 2015...like basic white girl with knit sweaters and cardigans, t-shirts and tanks, leggings, boots or sandals, etc. Sometimes also wears hoodies and jeans.

Headbands and beanies and cottagecore-like bandanas.

Yeah her makeup slaps too.

She works for her father after school at the Tortuga Tavern, formerly named Faithful Bride before it was forced to change to something more “PC.”

Fitzwilliam the “My uncle is the principal” Dalton (the third):

Basic snobby rich kid.

President of every “snobby kid club”; the Chess Club, the Key Club, the Student Council, and Yearbook.

Also an athlete and is in the school’s track team and soccer team.

Is in a clique with his equally snobby friends.

Yeah but he’s like hella proper.

He’s well educated and knows several different languages.

Hella ignorant about certain shit tho.

Big fuckin FLEXER with his expensive name-brand clothing and tech.

Lies about being friends with celebrities and online influencers and shit.

Ate one of the “shits” brownies....Just leaving that to the imagination until I make a one-shot.

Drippin’ Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Coach, etc... Literally like full fucking tracksuits, knit sweater over button-up combo, fancy coats, name-brand t-shirts, jeans over hundreds to thousands of $$$, shoes costing almost as much as rent.

The pocketwatch from the books is a fancy golden $30,000 Rolex wristwatch.

Jack keeps taking his watch.

Wears his hair up in a manbun like it’s still 2015 and Jack keeps teasing him about it.

Yeah got like a brand new iPhone and and iPad and a really expensive laptop and an iWatch even though I already got a regular watch on my other wrist.

Jean the “I swear to god she’s like my sister” Magliore:

Y’all know it, he’s in the Anime Club.

Jean and Tumen are best friends, and in my story, foster brothers.

Likes video games and always has his Nintendo Switch with him.

Internet memelord and low key has “band kid” energy.

Always be sending Tumen or the “Barnacle Crew” group chat memes.

Being from New Orleans is a personality trait and is very enthused with his Creole roots and loves creole dishes.

He runs a foodie Instagram account with a large following. Self proclaimed foodfluencer.

Sometimes sells candy and chips at school. Gets in trouble for it.

Yeah he ate multiple brownies at the dance....

Jean has a cat Constance, named after his deceased sister, he brings to school hidden in his backpack.

Constance will literally eat just about everything, mimics human noises, and her expressions are very human-like according to Jean. Her traits are so much like his sister, Jean believes she is his sister born as a cat in a new life.

He made Constance her own Instagram account.

Jack HATES Constance. Constance LOVES Jack.

Hoodies, jeans, headphones, beanies.

His hair is the same but a bit shorter.

“Suspiciously quiet kid” Tumen:

The quiet kid sitting in the back of the class and drawing while listening to music.

He is also in the Anime Club with Jean.

Since Jean is into video games, Tumen is a weeb.

Jean is the only person he really hangs out with at school.

Tumen doesn’t have a phone in my fanfic but for the purpose of this headcanon and the group chat, he does have one.

He’s more of a “lurker” in the GC.

Jean’s #1 meme reactor.

He watches anime crack videos.

Tumen is the most “immature” than the others since he’s the youngest.

The only one who didn’t eat the brownies. Got interviewed on the news.

He takes pride in his Mayan heritage.

Has a random interest in geography and wants a career as a cartographer.

Anime t-shirts and hoodies galore.

Always has his hood up in class.

Teachers always telling him to put his hood down.

Tim “the newbie” Hawk:

He eventually transfers to Barnacle High.

I don’t have a full headcanon written for him yet.

Principal Lawrence Norrington:

Principal of Barnacle High.

Fitzwilliam’s uncle.

HATES Jack Sparrow.... Again how tf is Jack not expelled?

Brings his kid James to work sometimes even though the kid should be at school himself.

Jack sitting in the principal’s office in trouble again and James keeps bugging him. “Do you play Fortnite?” “No. Beat it, kid.”

Tia Dalma:

The school nurse.

Jack is buddies with her and he goes to her and pretends to be sick when he wants to ditch class.

Has crab parts in jars in the cabinets. No one questions it.

Joshamee Gibbs:

The janitor.

He’s in the Navy but he’s on off-duty employment.

Jack is buddies with him too.

He writes Jack fake doctors notes or signs permission slips or covers for Jack when he’s ditching, in exchange for booze Jack has at home.

He had to clean up the gym after the brownies incident ☹️

I don’t know how to write Davy Jones into this.

For the sake of this headcanon, it would be funny if Torrents was like a science teacher or something. Or if Madame Minuet was like an economics or math teacher. Or if Silverback is an English teacher. Or if Left-Foot Louis is a PE teacher and he’s all running in circles because he’s got two left feet lol.

Alright ya’ll know the drill, today is day eight.

Today we have some Legend/Red platonic fluff with a side of “Why the fuck is Four now... four?!?”

“Where’s my sword?!” Four yelled, jumping up from his seat, his eyes a vibrant green. “Um… here?” Wind wearily handed Four his sword as the hero smirked.

“This is probably a bad idea but…” Four trailed off and suddenly there was a blinding light.

“Why the fuck is Four now... four?!?” Wild yelled from where he sat with Hyrule and Twilight, being bandaged up. That one sentence gained everyone’s attention.

“Four, what the fuck?” Warriors was extremely confused.

“Hey! We match!” A voice yelled. It sounded like Four’s usual voice, but a little higher.

“Red, leave him alone.” This one was a little deeper than Four’s.

“No, no. We do indeed match.” Legend said.

“Stop trying to sound smart Legend, all four of us know you’re as stupid as the captain-” “Hey!” Warriors’ voice cut in. “Okay, maybe a bit smarter than him.” Everybody looked to see a boy wearing a violet tunic, holding a book.

He closed it lightly.

“I’m Vio, that’s Blue, that’s Red and- hey! Where’s green!” The other two, now introduced, boys shrugged. “I think he went to set shit on fire.” Blue said. “No, that’s Red’s thing. Green is the ‘leader’ remember?” Vio made quotes with his hands. “Good point.” Blue shrugged.

Everybody was still so confused but Legend and Red had engaged in conversation about tunic colours.

“Okay I like the colour red because if I get hurt, the blood blends in.” Red said. “Exactly! Like nobody get’s it!” Legend exclaimed, throwing his hands up. The two boys were sitting across from each other on logs as they laughed and talked.

“Y’know, when us four were a main body, we had to mimic Green’s voice. It was so annoying. I wanted to talk to you guys myself but we didn’t want you guys to think we were crazy. I don’t know what came over Green to split us up.” Red said, placing his hand on his chin with the last sentence.

“Well whatever it was, I’m just happy we got to meet you guys. It really explains a lot about Four.” Legend said, looking toward Blue and Vio. “Anyway, are you like… the leader of you four?” Red went quiet for a couple seconds.

“Me? The leader? Goddesses no. I’m far too emotional for that.” Red said with a slight chuckle. “What do you mean?” Legend asked, tilting his head to the side. “Okay so basically, Vio’s the smart, calm, collected one. Blue is hot-headed, short fused, and stuck up. Green is focused, leader-ly, confident…” Red trailed off.

“And then you’re all the other emotions?” Legend asked. “Well… yeah. I get excited and upset way too easily. I guess pretending to be Green helped me control that though.” Red said with a small smile.

How much had Red been through? It’s like the person he described doesn’t exist.

“Guess so.” Legend said.

They sat in silence, chuckling every now and then as Warriors looked like he was about to pass out. Hyrule and Wild left with Blue to ‘explore’. Legend knew they were gonna light some shit up. Vio was talking with Time, Sky and Twilight as they sat near a sleeping Wind.

“Do you like it?” Red asked quietly. “Like what?” Legend asked, slightly surprised by such a sudden question.

“Like it when we’re one?” Red was staring at the floor. Legend shrugged. “You guys as one makes it easier to keep track of you - as proven by Green - but as four, you guys can talk to whoever you want and fight separately.” Legend said before continuing. “Overall, I think I like this better.”

“Really?” Red was surprised.

“Yeah, it means you don’t have to pretend to be Green and if that makes you guys happy, it makes us ha-” He was cut off as a red tunic filled his vision. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Red pulled back from Legend a little. “Finally, somebody that agrees!”

Legend was starting to recover from the shock.

“Why wouldn’t I? You guys, especially Blue, have made it extremely clear that you don’t like sharing a body.” Legend smiled slightly and looked away from Red.

“I like hanging with you anyway,” he punched Red’s shoulder, “you’re pretty cool.” 

“Goin’ soft Vet?!?” Warriors yelled out from the other side of the camp - he was hiding there because he was confused about the whole situation and was still trying to recover from Vio’s stab at his knowledge.

“Nah, us boys in red gotta stick together!” He pulled Red into a one armed hug as he smiled. Red closed his eyes and sighed.

So this is what it’s like to be liked for who you are.
