He was jealous of LBH for getting to join a sect and improve his cultivation at the best age and for having a mother who loved him. That's it lol. He also feared Binghe's power and potential which is why he made sure to sabotage him at every step. (ch 1)

SHEN QINGQIU

SQQ’s disciples

The number is not specified. Only Ming Fan, Binghe, and Ning Yingying are mentioned by name, but there were at least a few more (eg. Ming Fan's lackeys, the disciples waiting by SQQ’s bedside when SY transmigrates, the group he passes by on the peak). Ming Fan is (presumably) the oldest and about 16 at the start of the story, Binghe is around 14 (or 12-13; mentioned in svsss-fanon-exposed post here) Ning Yingying is the youngest (svsss-fanon-exposed post here), so all his disciples are presumably between ~12-16. no new disciples were taken in after Binghe - he's still the newest shidi when SY transmigrates.

NYY might not be the only female disciple on QJP - in the bingge/bingmei extra, SQQ refers to some disciples as “a group of teal-robed boys and girls”, however, the Chinese word used for "boys and girls" here doesn't actually specify gender. NYY is referred to as "Shen Qingqiu's youngest female disciple" but it's hard to tell if it's meant to be interpreted as "youngest of the females" or "youngest and also female, unlike the others".

Ming Fan was never head disciple - he is only ever specified to be the oldest disciple/the first one to become their master’s student. however, if a head disciple isn’t chosen, is it usually the most senior disciple who does their work - which in this case is Ming Fan. svsss-fanon-exposed post here

There might be "outer disciples" on QJP, in which case Ming Fan would be SQQ's earliest disciple, not necessarily the first on the whole peak. However, there is no outright mention of any outer disciples on QJP; the only mention of outer disciples is in regards to An Ding.

SQQ’s eye colour

In the novel his eyes are described as black. however, in many official illustrations they are green, grey, or some other lighter colour.

novel: LONG. Its posting time spanned 3-4 years (SY says 4 years in chapter 1, Airplane says 3 years in the Airplane extra). Airplane allegedly “updated ten thousand words a day, every day, for three years straight” with “periodic burst releases of eight whole chapters”. He had also written other works before PIDW.

MISC.

how did Airplane die?

He spilled noodles onto his laptop while laughing at Peerless Cucumber's forum posts and electrocuted himself when he pulled the plug out trying to save his half-finished file. This is kind of weird because if Airplane had an unfinished draft on his laptop when he died, SY couldn’t have finished reading the entire novel; unless the system somehow finished the chapter, uploaded it as the final chapter after Airplane died, and did such a bad job that it killed SY. Alternatively, he could have been working on a bonus chapter after finishing the main story, in which case SY was already dead by this point :0

but yeah TECHNICALLY you could argue that cumplane indirectly killed each other lol

However, Airplane transmigrated into a baby Shang Qinghua; he spent probably at least 30 extra years in "PIDW" compared to SY

Character relations/opinions!

Alright before I post any more Battle Addict stuff I should probably explain what a League Council is. Here's a summarized diagram:

A Pokemon League is a region's network of specialized skilled trainers. It is run by the League Council, which includes finance, HR, marketing, PR, and other managing departments which are divided into different branches depending on who they work with.

This is all to say that everything gets messy very quickly when news of the diagnosis spreads through the network. Originally the diagnosis was supposed to be private information for only the Battle and League departments, however certain higher ups felt it was a safety risk and notified gym leaders as well in the event of future collaborations.

The network is mostly divided into people who are positive/neutral about the news, and people who feel negatively about the twins as a result. Coworkers who were already familiar/close with the two tend to be positive, or at least supportive, whereas those who didn't know them got another reason to avoid them. Some people think they should go on leave for "recovery", but some are more forward and want them terminated.

If you're wondering where Cynthia falls in this, she's a foreign top league worker (Sinnoh Champion) who is hosted in Unova. Basically she has dept. employees assigned to help her connect to people around the region and get different services if requested. She's basically watching everything unfold from the sidelines, with every interview about her opinion boiling down to "lol if you're scared of people stronger than you then get good". She does also bring up historic accounts of CM/HCCM though, mostly to clarify that CM is not a new or scary thing. She's not for or against the twins, rather just hoping to use this as an opportunity to teach others.

I didn't end up drawing her because I got tired but Elesa got the news too!! She actually got it before everyone else since the twins decided to go tell her beforehand. The general scene basically had Ingo and Emmet deliberating in the car, Ingo telling Emmet it's not too late to turn around and go home while Emmet was hesitant but adamant that they needed to tell her first. She probably took it the worst out of everyone but that's mostly just cause it caught her off guard that her friends would just randomly drop in to deliver the news. She's still rooting for them though, mostly trying to support the Subway with more collaborative events to make the twins look better after the hit from the media. She also tries to rework Emmet's restraints where possible, usually trying to make them look more cohesive with the rest of an outfit or trying to make them less visible (cause as much as Emmet says it's not a big deal it's still the first thing he looks at in his reflection).

Headcanons: Roller Ricky General and Relationship Headcanons

A/N: Yes, I know I got done with a whole x reader fic with this man recently, but I got more ideas. This will include expansions on headcanons I mentioned in the fic and ones I didn’t. And yes, some of these will be relationship headcanons because I can’t help myself lol. That’s all for today. Bye!

🛼-It is implied that Roller Ricky would be in his mid-late thirties at the time of the game, but if I were to give him a specific age, I would say that he is 36-37 years old

🛼-He absolutely loves animals, and he occasionally volunteers at an animal shelter near Gallows Creek. While he has a preference for dogs, he doesn’t mind cats. Especially kittens, they are a close second to puppies when it comes to “warming his heart”

🛼-Speaking of animals, I should probably mention Maxy since he and Ricky are a package deal. I headcanon Max as being a German Shepherd. Idk why, that was just the first dog breed that comes to mind when I think of him

🛼-Ricky has a bunch of fun shirts that he sometimes dresses Max in. He even has some matching shirts of his own

🛼-Though he obviously doesn’t play the sport anymore, Ricky still enjoys watching football. He even bought a jersey of his favorite team for Maxy

🛼-While of course he loves roller disco, he also enjoys going on drives with Max in the front seat as a way to clear his head or get away from Gallows Creek for a bit

🛼-I can see him and Sandra being on good terms. While he’s not as crazy about jazzercise like she is, he doesn’t mind jogging with her from time to time

🛼-I see Ricky as being bisexual with a 50-50 spilt preference for men and women

🛼-This is because he is just looking for a person that he can hang out and have fun with. He wants someone who he can wake up with in the morning and go to bed with at night. Someone that he could see himself growing old with, and it doesn’t matter if that person is a man or a woman

🛼-This man is a massive cuddle bug. No one can tell me otherwise. Now, obviously he knows there is a time and a place for snuggling up with you and will respect your wishes on the matter, but if your down, he’ll be down. He also makes adjustments based on if you are shorter than him, taller than him, or the same height as him (I see him being 5′ 10″ / 178 cm)

🛼-While he does have his preferences when it comes to music, he’s not a music snob. If you listen to a genre or artist he’s not the biggest fan of, he’s not gonna tell you that “it sucks”. He’s more than happy that you can hear something in a song that he can’t

🛼-Speaking of music, Ricky will definitely make a relationship mixtape that contains songs that are significant to both of you

🛼-Dancing with him at the roller rink when it’s just you, him, and Max. That’s all. Just imagine that

🛼-This man is so good with kids. While he offers lessons for both adults and children alike, he often finds himself teaching kids. He’s encouraging, fun, and patient, which makes children like him. He also knows just what to say to calm down a kid that hurt themself or are getting discouraged at constantly falling over

🛼-All I’m saying is that if you and Ricky decided to have kids whether it be through adoption or ,if possible, getting you pregnant, he’s gonna be such a sweet dad  ❤️

🛼-As we know, he is apparently not too good with keeping secrets, so he would accidently tell you if he was going to propose to you. He’ll feel terrible about it, but you couldn’t care less. You’re happy to be his fiancé no matter how he pops the question 

🛼-His favorite movie genre is comedy, but he can sit through mostly anything. He’s not the biggest fan of horror movies. Especially ones that involve a masked psycho killing people. You can imagine why that might be a bit triggering for him. He’s cool with Universal monster movies like Dracula or Frankenstein tho

🛼-Ricky has a preference for spicy foods. I mean, he loves food in general, but the way to his heart is any dish with a bit of a kick to it

🛼-His love language is quality time. He loves spending time with you whether you’re going out to eat, taking Max for a walk, dancing with him at the roller rink, or just simply staying inside and watching TV

Alias: Araknos of this generation. (Araknos is a title passed on to the strongest members(s) of each generation that gives them some special perks)

Age: considered to be in his late thirties/mid-forties (I.E middle aged) by Soul eater standard. from human viewpoint, he's between 100-150

Height: 195 cm

Occupation: Tattoo artist (Artisan level)/full-time single dad

ABOUT TATTOOISTS: In his world they play a more important societal role than just being specialized artists. ;here are 3 ranks with tattoo artists, known as Artist, Craftsman, and Artisan. ARTIST: The basic level of skill, basically similar work to human world tattooists. Mainly means they do not use any magic in their craft as they aren't certified for it (yet/don't want to/Can't train further for whatever reason) CRAFTSMAN: Advanced level of skill, applies cosmetic magic into the tattoos, such as giving them color shift, glow, and movement. ARTISAN: Highest level of skill needed, includes more serious applications for magic, such as creating protective seals, or aiding medics and doctors with healing spells, exorcisms, etc.

Family: mother Yui (A popular jazz singer) Father Harrow (A fugitive of the law) late sister Meredith, nephew/adoptive son Ichirou, adoptive son Caelan, Biological daughter Hitomi. Distant cousin family the Murasakis. (the exact relations are veeery complicated, so they're just called his aunt/uncle and cousins) Even more distant relative Taiga (A kitsune)

Friends: Closest friend Shura, a special type of magic spirit. Shura's beloved Shika, a chimera. He's also friendly with his staff at the parlor, Claude and Avane.

Love interest: Alois Faydream, a Dream-eater running a cafe next to his tattoo shop. he also had a short relationship with Hitomi's human mother Saeko before this.

Abilities:

Soul Devouring: As a soul eater, he can devour the souls of anything that has one. He also has the rare and forbidden ability of "God Eater" which means he can even devour the soul of a Deity, something they normally can't do. (think beings from ancient Greek/Roman/ Egyptian mythology basically) He's also naturally very resistant to possession as a Soul eater, and can devour any soul trying to do so.

Transformation: being a Spirit type Soul eater allows him to give himself sharp spider like limbs on his back, create massive spider-like monsters from his shadowy demonic aura, use spiders to deliver messages and so on. He even has a demonic form, which has very sharp claws that can even cut through metal

Inhuman body: He is incredibly durable and can basically only be damaged by light magic based weapons and attacks. He's also physically strong, able to tear people to pieces with his bare hands if he wants to.

Soul Link: Like most Soul eaters, he can create mental links with people he trusts, and sense if they are in trouble. Soul eaters do this automatically with family, but outside them Jurou currently only has links with Angus, Shura and Shika.

Summoning Stone: Like most soul eaters, he creates "summoning stones" naturally, that appear in random places in human realm. He has no control over this process, apart from occasionally willing for one to appear in a specific place, such as the stone he gave to Hitomi's mother before they parted ways.

General magic knowledge: He knows some old dark magic spells that allow him to open portals to the human world even from the deepest parts of the Mirror World normally inaccessible from human realm.

Artisan tattooist skills: Jurou has the required knowledge to create complex magic tattoo seals as well as undo them if necessary. (example; create one to ward off possession, remove a curse tattoo, etc)

Araknos title priviledges: As the current holder of the title, Jurou is capable of contacting their ancestral spirits - including the original Araknos sorceress herself - and has access to a special secret library with all the forgotten/obscure knowledge their family had gathered over the centuries. (Jurou isn't actually aware of this until later on in the story)

Weaknesses:

He has gone through a lot off loss in his family; his father suddenly committing a seemingly atrocious crime and being jailed, losing his sister to her sickness, and having to leave Hitomi's mother behind, later finding out she'd died. All these things have left him wary and not liking to open up to new people easily in fear of losing them again. He's also very protective over his family he does have left because of all this, and they could be used as a leverage against him.

Because of people's natural fear towards him, he tends to be easily irritable and blunt towards those who don't know him well, having little patience for nonsense and feeling self-conscious over being perceived as something he doesn't see himself as (evil/dangerous). This makes him difficult to approach for many, which in turn worsens their fear towards him unfortunately.

He tends to be the type to not share his woes openly, often being the person everyone is leaning on for support, so Jurou doesn't feel like he's allowed to show weakness most of the time.

He has somewhat of a turbulent relationship with his father where he's easily irritated by his father's antics and argues with him a lot, something Jurou does wish wasn't a thing. He's still bitter towards Harrow for doing what he did, and not at least telling them the reason.

Personality:

Jurou is mostly very calm and collected person who isn't shaken easily by anything. He has very little patience for pointless chit-chat outside his close ones, and tends to get easily annoyed by someone's incompetence.

Beneath his intimidating facade, he is a very gentle and caring father who wants nothing more but to be a good parent to his kids, and do better than his father ever did. He is more affected by people's fears and suspicion towards him than he likes to admit, having the tendency to get hostile if someone accuses him of something he didn't do, occasionally not helping his case.

When he's with people he trusts, he tends to be relaxed and even teasing, and has always been a good flirt (ask Alois or Hitomi's mother). He's quite a thoughtful person and enjoys deep conversations and pondering abstract concepts.

BG Story

Jurou was the first child born for Yui and her husband; he was given the Japanese name "Jurou" (tenth son) because he was born on the tenth day of the tenth month (October 10:th). For a name from his father, he went with Alistair, meaning "protector of people."

His sister was born couple years later, and they named her Meredith from Harrow's language, whereas her Japanese name ended up being Hanae. (She mainly used Meredith as her name)

Jurou was always close with his mother, whereas Meredith was close with their dad. He rarely had time for them though, due to being very busy with his job most of the time. He still did his best to try and spend time with his children anytime he could, such as teaching Jurou how to play a piano.

His father was a member of the Overshadower Council responsible in handling the matters of dark beings, such as Soul Eaters, but did not really like how things worked, feeling like people were being labeled as "evil" just for being born a certain way by the said council. He rather advocated for returning back to the ways of old where there was no such oversight needed, and each Soul Eater could do as they pleased, good or bad, and get treated/punished accordingly rather than be immediately suspected of being bad just for being born.

He ended up thrown in prison after supposedly murdering some of his fellow council members, having snapped without warning. (it is later revealed that these Council members had found out about Jurou's God Eater ability and were contemplating on confiscating the boy from his parents to monitor him closely, potentially imprisoning him for safety and trying to erase his powers) This had a huge impact on Jurou growing up, as he was now known as the child of a murderer. He'd already been treated with suspicion by his peers due to being a Soul Eater, and this made it worse.

The only things keeping him from going down a dark path at the time were his mother and sister, and his childhood friend Shura, a Vigour Spirit who for some reason chose to be his friend despite their opposing natures (Cue introvert getting adopted by an extrovert).

He and his family did learn the true reason behind Harrow's actions eventually, which did also somewhat help him mellow out towards his parent and see things in a different light, though didn't do much to mellow out his frustrations towards his dad.

Years later, Jurou moves on to live in the "entrance city" of Mirror World, the Chrysalis, the only place that can be accessed directly from Human realm. during this time he ends up going to the human realm on his own volition, eventually meeting a human woman whom he falls in love with briefly, though eventually realizes the relationship was too dangerous for her. He leaves her with a summoning stone though before leaving, stating she could use it anytime she needed help.

Unknowingly to him, she had gotten pregnant, and years later Jurou does get summoned, but not by her, but their daughter, Hitomi. He rescues her from cultists who had found out about her powers, taking her in to the Mirror world to raise her, as she had no other place to go, and needs help learning to control her unique powers.

(Before this event he'd already adopted both his nephew who'd lost his mother to an illness, and a water serpent child Caelan, whose family - sans his cousin - had been killed by a pollution spill caused by humans.)

Fun Facts:

Jurou has been asked to join the Overshadowers council by Alois' brother Lawrence, but he always refuses due to what his father did. He's not aware that Lawrence is still planning on getting him to join, and is observing him to find a moment of weakness he can utilize.

In the same way, Jurou is ALSO not aware that Alois and his niece Ava are both trying to protect him from this.

Jurou has a complicated relationship with his father Harrow, as while he's been absent from his life for the most part, and did cause them lot of trouble with his actions, he can't really hate Harrow for his choice given he'd done the same thing had he been in his dad's shoes. He knows his dad loves him, he's just....really impulsive and stupid sometimes.

The rare times they do interact, Jurou tends to get annoyed at his father, as their tempers somewhat naturally clash and he feels like his father doesn't always think before he acts.

Jurou's more calm, less eccentric nature comes from his mother rather than father.

He tends to show his theater kid tendencies only in the human world, when he's Alistair.

You can tell he doesn't actually mind his father's personality that much, given the two other, highly important people in his life. They somewhat share Harrow's eccentric, impulsive qualities, though to a lesser extent (His bestie Shura, and his love interest Alois)

Jurou is extra protective over Hitomi/any woman in his life, because he's already lost two important ones (his sister and first lover)

He and Caelan sometimes duet to have a small-scale concert for the younger kids, with him playing a piano and Caelan his violin. Sometimes if Yui is visiting, she joins in as a singer.

Harrow in fact was the one who taught Jurou to play piano, one of the few rare bonding things they managed to do between his duties, and later being in prison and a fugitive eventually.

Jurou drinks his coffee black, of course. His favorite tea is black tea too, though he also enjoys an occasional Chai latte

Jurou tends to use Alistair Blackthorne as his name when in human realm. This sometimes confuses people because his Asian heritage from his mother is visible on his features, but then he is able to speak with a perfect English or Scottish accent (His family owns a mansion in Scotland).

Despite having Japanese relatives, they ironically are not related to him through his actual Japanese mother, but his father.

Their home is in the same building as his tattoo parlor; the entire two floors upstairs are his home while the bottom floor is for the parlor.

The old mansion in human world Scotland is where his father currently lives in, and it is staffed by four people; two humans and two nonhumans.

He was always creative and since he is good with spells and part of him wanted a job that'd allow him to connect with people more/a more lowkey work, he ended up as tattooist. (In mirror world, tattoos can have magic effects applied to them, such as glowing, shifting and moving images, color change, etc)

Generally his clients tend to be nice and less afraid of him than most others, not to mention his and his staff's work quality is top notch.

Most of his tattoos were made by his staff in fact.

Yes, after my great-grandmother, who died when I was a baby. When I turned 16, I also took my great-grandmothers last name, simply because I didn't want to carry my father's last name, and she had the most beautiful last name from my entire family.

2. when was the last time you cried?

No. I follow the philosophy of antinatalism. While I would love to have children, I believe it would be cruel, especially with my genetics. If I had a choice, I wouldn't want to be born, what if my child grows up and feels the same as I do now?

Never played any sports in my life. I have some breathing problems so physical activity is harder for me than for a healthy person, although I do fitness consistently (lifting and calisthenics) for the first time in my very unfit life. Funny enough, I have the war to thank for that. This winter, when we had blackouts, I was looking for something to do in the evenings, when it's dark, cold and dreary. I tried to do yoga for relaxation, but soon discovered just how weak I was. So I started to include more and more strength building exercises, HIIT workouts, until finally switching to lifting weights. It's amazing how much easier it is not to quit if your goal isn't to lose weight / get bigger butt or flatter stomach, but to get stronger and have fun. Modern society (yes, we're getting into the "society" talk) is trying to convince you, especially if you're a woman, that you should do fitness for looks. I'm sick of seeing all the female-oriented videos on youtube captioned like "get tOnEd muscles for the summer" or "burn belly fat in SEVEN DAYS" (it's impossible btw). Because god forbid you want to actually grow your muscles, not get them "toned", whatever that means. God forbid you want to become stronger or more flexible, not skinnier with a bigger butt. I've never been able to stick to a routine because I hate boring repetitive cardio, and it can be very disheartening to see no change on the scale when your only goal is to lose weight. So I thought I was just not a fitness kind of person. But when you feel your body getting stronger, when you realize that your progress depends only on your efforts, it becomes so exciting and fun.

Voice and smell. I'm autistic, so I almost never look in the face, but even when I do I usually don't register person's appearance very well. For example, I pass by my neighbors every day, but I have no idea what they look like, so I will never recognize them if we ran into each other somewhere else.

Scary movies, preferably with happy endings.

I'm very good at remembering song lyrics. And I can immediately think of a song for any situation, any prompt.

Random Scooby Doo Thoughts My Brain Had in the Middle of the Night

I don’t know why but my brain decided to come up with this whole thing at like midnight-1 am, and I’m not even like, a huge Scooby Doo fan (meaning I have watched several episodes of the original and What’s New Scooby Doo, some movies, the Supernatural crossover ep, and all of Mystery Inc, but I’m not super knowledgeable on all the lore and there’s several versions of Scooby Doo shows and stuff I haven’t watched), so keep that in mind with the rambling going on below, lol.

So as of seeing the discussions on Velma, and various people talking about how it was meant to be a more “adult” version of Scooby Doo and how well that turned out /s, I figured I’d throw my two cents in about what I personally would like a more grown-up/adult version of Scooby Doo to be.

The kind of more adult version of Scooby Doo I’d personally like to see, would be something along the lines of like a combination of Criminal Minds/Supernatural/Stranger Things. Meaning, the Scooby Gang would be adults, probably in their late 20s or early 30s, and solving mysteries would be their jobs, and the mysteries would be perpetrated half the time by humans, and half the time by monsters (or some other kind of split, but I think the addition of the supernatural would be key) but they never know which it is until they’re already on the case, obviously. However, the government would be paying them for the human crimes, and covering up the actual monster crimes. I would’ve gone with the freelancer type business where the government isn’t involved, but I think having this dynamic could open up some interesting plot lines of corrupt government and such.

The mysteries/crimes they’d be solving would be less “masked person scares people off the land they want to steal” (though this could still obviously be part of it), and more like, legit murders and kidnapping happening. The stakes should be bigger, and consequences more severe. It doesn’t have to be super gory, but I think keeping it along the lines of the shows I mentioned would be good.

The tone of this would be obviously darker than most versions—including Mystery Inc—but it would still retain its humor. I’d want it to reference other versions of Scooby Doo, either through characters coming back from older versions, or as past mysteries they’ve solved and talk about.

When it comes to characterization and their roles on the team:

I’d see Fred as for sure the Trap Guy, but he also takes on a more leader-like role (like Hotch from CM) but also still be a little silly (I’d also think of him a bit like Dean from SPN). He’d be the one coming up with the main plans still. The key is that he’s a good dude! A proper Himbo, not a manbaby.

Daphne would mostly handle the PR aspect of the job, though she also is capable of fighting if need be (think a combo of JJ and Prentiss from CM). She would obviously still be going out “in the field” with the group. I think she and Fred would be the ones that would be taking the brunt of actually talking to local government officials and “upper class” witnesses/victims wherever they go for cases.

Velma is their tech girl, and does a majority of the research. She’d have hacking skills, too, but she wouldn’t be left behind, she’d still go with the rest of the gang (think a combo of Garcia and Reid from CM, but also Sam from SPN). Her research handles the more human crimes than monster crimes.

Shaggy and Scooby would still be cowards, but I think this would lend well to their roll in the group. I’d have this be why Shaggy actually has a lot of knowledge of the monsters/supernatural. Due to being scared of so many things, he wants to be ready, just in case the crimes are being committed by monsters.

Scooby would talk in this, due to being of supernatural origin himself. I’m unsure if the alien lore for him is only in one version of Scooby Doo, or if it comes up in multiple versions, but it would either be he and his family have alien heritage, or some sort of fae. Either way, in this none of them would know at first, but Scooby would have the natural ability (though it’d need training) to sense the supernatural.

Eventually we’d get Fred and Shaggy, and Velma and Daphne becoming couples. Because I say so, lol.

When it comes to the actual setting of this, I’m kind of split.

I think one interesting way of going about it could be setting this in the 90s, where they would’ve been born in the 60s/70s (ya know like when the original series came out ;) ). With this, Shaggy would’ve grown up in a hippie family, perhaps nomadic as well up to a point (settling down when he reached middle or high school allowing him to meet the others and forming the gang). Maybe Daphne or Fred’s parents were Reagan types, causing them to rebel against them. Perhaps Velma’s parent(s) were the conspiracy theorist types, thus her desire to prove that it’s only humans committing crimes (though eventually realizing that monsters are real).

Obviously, the other option would be setting this in modern times. Shaggy would be considered more of a hipster in this than an outright hippie. We could still keep aspects of what I said above, but with more modern equivalents, you know? While I’d personally lean more towards the first one, this does allow some fun things. Example: Potential crossover or reference to ghost hunting shows like Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and/or Ghost Files/Buzzfeed Supernatural. The mental image of the gang coming across Shane and Ryan does make me snort (Shane saying he doesn’t believe in demons or monsters, and Scoob in the background is just staring at him suspiciously lol).

Though of course, if we go with the first option, there’s no reason they couldn’t make reference to the Warrens.

Either way, the backstory for them all would be that they met and formed the gang in middle/high school and started solving mysteries. Then they just continued as they got older and turned it into a proper job, with the government allowing it due to how many cases they solves and how well they did. We'd explore this through flashbacks and such.

Kind of going back a bit, I would love to see the return of several characters/plot lines: The Hex Girls, Ravencroft, Scrappy and other Scooby relatives, the whole Zombie Island thing (I think more could be done with it, or referenced in some way), something to do with the 2000s live action movies, the girls from the Ghoul School, maybe have Shaggy get turned into a werewolf (in a darker way than done in the cartoon).

This sort of show would have the Monster Of The Week, but still have over-arching plot lines each season (assuming this would go on for multiple seasons). I’d imagine some of it would deal with the government corruption, and whether they should keep covering up the supernatural or if it would be better for people to know the truth. Other plot lines could deal with Scooby’s powers and family. We could also have plot lines that deal with how doing this sort of work puts not only the gang in danger, but their family and loved ones. I'd like to see it tackle how doing all this since being teens has affected the gang, too.

I don’t know whether this would be better to go live action, or keep it a cartoon, but I think it could be done well either way. Matthew Lillard is playing Shaggy regardless, lol. I do think there'd be more freedom in a cartoon, but only if the art style was good.

Anyway, that’s all my brain came up with last night.

I’d love to know what people think about this, if it makes sense with the Scooby Doo universe or whatever, or if it seems like a bit much for them, or if this gave any of you ideas of how this could be done. Just keep it kind, regardless of if you agree or disagree, this is all just for fun.

Currently reading: Uuuuhhhh I don't read as much as I should, but when I do I've been bouncing between: The Death and Life of Schneider Wrack by Nate Crowley, which I really enjoy but have been trying to finish for like a year and half (it's not long i'm just lazy). An inventive nautical zombie romp with a dash of social commentary.

Asian Ghost Short Stories: An Anthology of New and Classic Tales. The intersection of folklore, horror, and culture was the topic of both of my undergrad senior papers, though they mostly focused on Japan. I've already read most of the traditional Japanese stories in this book, but I don't know very much about ghosts in other Asian Countries, so it's been an interesting read! I was also drawn to it because it contains translations of new short horror stories by unpublished Asian authors. The Black Bestiary: A Phantasmagoria of Monsters and Myths from the Phillipines by Budjette Tan (Author), David Hontiveros, Kajo Baldisimo (Illustrator), and Bow Guerrero  (Illustrator). See above. This book is really interesting, because it's an illustrated compedium of myths and monsters, but the entries are written from the perspective of modern-day monster hunters recording their experiences in a journal. Apparently it's a sequel to a book called The Lost Journal of Alejandro Pardo, which I'll have to pick up sometime. The art is very cool. One of the illustrators, Kajo Baldisimo, is the main illustrator of a comic series called Trese that semi-recently received an animated adaptation with audio available in both English and Tagalog. I've been meaning to consume both of these at some point as well.

Last Movie: Uuuuuhhhhhh.... I'm not much of a movie person, so I don't really remember, but I guess maybe Dune?

Esteem from FFXIV, Alisaie from FFXIV (though I also really like Haurchefant, Y'shtola, Hilda, Ysayle, and Fordola.)

The last place you traveled: Uhhhh I guess my last major trip was to... here (America)! My last "vacation" was to Sapporo (that was right before the pandemic.) Style Arc - Sable Boyfriend Cardigan

So this project started with me ironing paper. The applique pressing sheet I bought earlier in the year sure is handy. Then I tried to be sustainable and printed the print-at-home pattern on some scrap paper, but my printer didn't like feeding through some of the pages that were formerly stapled, so I had to get a bit creative when putting it all together. Should be fine right, not like it's a close fitting garment 😋

After putting it all together...damn am I like super short or something? The promotional image shows the cardigan going not quite mid thigh, but this looked it it would go past my knee 🤨 I guess since all the sizes are the same length they are trying to make sure it suits very tall people too? But would be nice if they included a 'lengthen/shorten here' guide like I commonly see on commercial patterns. I ended up reducing it by 10 cm for the prototype. Btw, my first time seeing the term 'cut 1 pair main' instead of 'cut 2'.

It turns out the fabric I was planning to use for prototyping was only 1 m, so I ended up using a knit I bought from Homecraft Textiles for a blouse, except when I received it, I decided it was too weighty. But would work as a light cardigan. It was probably an odd width...the pattern specified 1.8 m of 148 cm for size 8 but I only barely managed to cut all the pieces (actually had to split the neckband into 4 pieces...the pattern helps disguise this though). Btw, I hadn't come across this method for constructing pockets before, it works quite well. The extra reinforcing makes sense too! nevermind that I was too lazy to actually implement that part...

I was pretty happy how it turned out! except for the part where I accidentally pushed a shoulder seam forward instead of back and realised too late Only thing is....damn it is huge 😂 'relaxed fit'...to the extreme. I read reviews for this pattern saying to drop 2 sizes so I dropped 1 but I seriously think I need to drop 3...

Overall though, this was a nice relaxing project for a weekend. I started Friday night and finished it before the sun started to set on Sunday, and I only really worked on it for 2-3 hours each day. It would have been faster if I actually read the damn instructions properly. Seriously, there was like barely any instructions and I still managed to miss parts LOL. I mean, look at this:

In conclusion, I'm gonna keep this and see if I actually ever end up wearing it. But at least now I will have a size 4 pattern ready and tested for when my actual fabric arrives 😊

Gloria starts her journey at 14. But is 15 by the time she meets serena, and has been champion for a couple of months by then

Serena has no clue gloria is galars champion for the first... several times that they meet?? Like.. theyre already pretty solidly in flirt-ville by the time she finds out. And theyve probably had atleast one casual battle against each other

Serena's middle name is 'petnames' and Gloria's is 'pda' lmao

Gloria actually does get a lot of anxiety about showing affection but she'll just make herself do it. Like serena will have been talking for 5 minutes about her day and gloria tuned it all out fighting with herself in her head about whether it's a good time to hold her hand. And then serena will be mid word and gloria will just shove there hands together

Serena would also like to be more touchy feely with gloria. But her anxiety stops her from doing it. She just cant work up the nerve.

To make up for that she instead just showers gloria in verbal affection. Lots of comments on all the cute stuff she does. Sudden declarations of love. Gloria is constantly tormented by the sweet words that pour out of her gfs mouth

Serena is more naturally charismatic, but. They meet in galar. Which gloria is the champion of. So shes more popular lol

Serena is more confident and self assured then gloria is. (Shes still got anxiety tho. She just tries rlly hard to ignore it) But shes more spacey. She can zone out a lot during conversations. So actually both of them probably do the speaking depending on the situation.

Both of them know how to cook pretty well. Gloria is better at baking then regular cooking tho.

Gloria doesnt know how to express her feelings with words. Like even attempting to will give her a fucking panic attack cuz she cant convey her feelings the way she wants too. So she sometimes feels bad about not giving serena the same verbal affection that serena gives to her. But serena understands and tells her it's fine. And that gloria communicates her feelings very clearly in other ways. Ways that she wished she could do as easily as well. So. Since they both understand each others ways of showing affection. They shouldn't feel bad about those ways being different, that's just the way it is

Serena has this whole speech prepared about how it's fine because... she has to tell it to herself all the time lol

Kyla Matthews (2004. Canadian) She has played a character similar to Cress on Anne with an E.

Jade Pettyjohn (2000. American) She can sing.

Both of them are pretty short too: Kyla at 1.55 cm or 5'1 and Jade at 1.52 cm or 5'0.

Thorne (age 20):

Froy Gutierrez (1998. American. Half mexican) Note: he is one of the popular casts that have been around for years and I just have to agree.

Matt Cornett (1998. American) It's the stubble for me. Shoutout to my sister @frozen-orbit for recommending him.

Marsai Martin (2004. American) She is my favorite out of all my casts. She is exactly like I imagined Winter, and also a great actress. And there's her beauty: if there was a face that people would write songs and poems about, I feel like it would be this one.

Jacin (age 19):

Mitchell Hoog (1999. American) He is also a model. He has rocked the ponytail hairstyle too. He was training to be a snowboarder. Not related at all but I wanted to mention it lol

Louis Partridge (2003. British) I have nothing to say he just... gives me Jacin vibes

Not extremely satisfied with this one honestly but yeah. Obviously picture both of them with white-ish blonde hair.

I wasn't sure about putting my Iko fancasts because they're pretty much the same as everyone else's. I have no reasons to disagree about China Anne McClain (1998) as her. And also as @whimsicalxdragons noted, she's designed as an escort droid so probably she looks older than a teenager (otherwise maybe it would be a little weird), so I also agree with the popular opinion of Keke Palmer (1993) for her. Also I loved these pictures of them <3

I'm amazing at sleeping. I swear, I can sleep anywhere, outside, under a bridge, in a hallway, on a plane. Like, I can lie down, and with a little effort, bam, out like a light. (This may have less to do with any intrinsic skill and more to do with the average amount of sleep I get on a regular basis though 😭)

Reading, writing, doodling...making/doing things with my hands is a big one, so I used to like tinkering with cars, and now I'm into bookbinding haha...

My first year in uni, I got into an argument (friendly) with my flatmate, in which he insisted that "school" only refers to education before university, while I'd always used "school" to refer to any type of education, up to and including post-grad. That is to say, if we're going by his definition of school, then I'd have to say literature and history, and if we're going by my definition of school, I'd have to say...probably more sociology, or sociology-adjacent. The classes I liked the most were pretty much all in the social sciences anyway haha

14. Dream job?

Something which allows me to develop and use my skillset to the best of its ability, while helping people. At the stage I'm at right now, I'm looking less for something long-term/stable, and more for anything that'll provide me with interesting experiences to learn and grow, but I imagine that'll change in the future.

The last time I called my parents...I have a good relationship with them, but it just happens sometimes 😞

And referncing Mine Craft lore, there was an apocalypse, people went zombied, places went to rubble. And you may ask if Evo is the beginning why was there people and structures? I’ll explain that later, in my personal absurd way.

Though I would put the duo between mini and salem. BUT BACK TO SALEM. Now Salem ALSO gives modern vibes, but like, they all do, cause they modern irl. and I wanted Salem to have her own thing.

But taht’s AFTER Eo though, so we’ll put that aside (puts into brings up later pocket) But also his skin gives off those major Steampunk vibes. He is also did a lot of how to build before Evo. hence the industrialisation. So I placed him there.

Thinking about these two broke my brain and how I saw the tineline, cause suddenly it became 10x more confusing but made A LOT MORE sense.

First Why.

Welp I could relate both of them to pre Evo and post modern. 

BigB skin is literally based on a zombie apocalypse, and he just felt like a type of guy to just have been there at the beginning. BUT, he is so modern that it’s constricting. This man is cookies and guns and all other roblox things lol. 

Now Pearl, she is also definitely pre-evo, with so many  Watcher!Pearl Headcanons, and she is ALSO very modern too like Grian. and she’s like a bad omen of the apocalypse too

And i personally couldn’t choose, DIDN”T WANT TO CHOOSE

So i didn’t. :D They are both a part of the same apocalypse

I have no clue what this will look like for you all but it’s a loop.

The apocalypse happens, everything from evo to modern happen until the apicalyse happens again. Therefore people in the Nature era knows of things like GUNS cause the modern era was only a few era ago, and etc. Villagers know magic, writing and a lot of other things, some blocks in MC are a lot more modern than others etc.

Also loops seem to be a theme when it comes to the Watcher, as in Martyn’s lore, the 3rd life/last life is an endless loop, or something. Hence what i got major inspiration from.

You have experience from the previous loop, but this loop is new. And anytging can happen.

And so, instead of seeing it as a loop, I started seeing it as a SPIRAL

What do you mean by that 3rd? 

Welp if it was just a loop, the same things would repeat over and over, but that doesn’t work right. Becuase there would be nature era’s that DON’T know what guns are, there are modern eras that have never touched magic. 

Look at the loop above and imagine that as the timeline (kind of)

The red is the apocalypse, that is the beginning and end.

And each apocalypse parallel each other.

But what if it took a couple looks for TSI (orange) era to be introduced/

What if it took even longer for a loop to reach modern (blue)? 

And magic to many loops is still a new concept, while to others it’s an old legend?

Basically. Remove Evo from the repeating thing, let’s say evo only appears on the 2nd loop, and that is the loop everyone is sent to.

But Mini and Martyn, while both from the nature era, one of them might be a bit more assoicated with TSI, while the other is more magical, CAUSE OF THE LOOPS and SPIRALS.

It’s all parallel but also all new! SANTA EXIST EVERYWHERE, HE IS OLD AND NEW!

While I was looking at your fantastic art of Kero x Idia, I couldn't help but imagine the ghost marriage event, lol. A bunch of students is trying to seduce a ghost and the everyone elseis trying to prevent Kero from finding out.

KeroIdia makes me days brighter so I’m not stopping any soon about shipping them together lmao. AND YES AHHH LISTEN. Ghost marriage would be A CHAOTIC THING FOR THEM BOTH. So just everyone knows, Ghost Marriage spoilers ahead. Because I actually have a huge headcanon about this event with Kero there. I like to go alongside the overall funny context of the event (despite Idia fearing for his life lol) so I think it would be natural that both Ortho and Kero would find about Idia being kidnapped, since they are the ones who are closer to him. Kero would no hesitate and would try to fight ALL THE GHOST BY HIMSELF. But won’t work because they are too many, so he got overwhelmed (poor boi) Sadly, he would go with Ortho to Crowley and everyone else asking to help them to save Idia. He would get really mad and offended that none of them want to help tho, and actually would try to throw hands with everyone (Leona, probably) that badmouths Idia, making the situation even worse. Thanks goodness that Crowley and Ortho are there to stop him. They come out with the idea “seduce the ghost bride so we can get rid of them” and Kero meet the heaight requeriment of being above of 1.85 cm, but the conversation would go by this Kero: What?! I am not gonna go. Crowley: Didn’t you wanted to help your dorm leader? Kero:  Of course I do, but I am not gonna try and seduce her. She is my rival!!! Everybody else: ...Rival? Kero: Also, won’t it be faster if I just try to eat her? That might work. Everybody else: No that won’t work. She is a ghost.

So anyway, first round of grooms go to see if they are succesful. They are not. So Kero gets even more mad to see Eliza saying Idia is “her perfect prince” and listen, HE HAD ENOUGH. He goes with the second round of possible grooms to try and make Eliza change her mind, and when Idia sees Kero there he has A LITTLE BIT OF HOPE. “Ah this might work!! Kero is very protective of Ignihyde’s residents and he is always saying he is my best friend... He is tall and kinda attractive, so he is going to try his best this time, right?! I might be saved here!!” But that’s just Idia expectations. The reality is very different: Eliza: What do you think you are better than my Idia? Everybody else: *Become quiet, not really knowing what to expect from Kero. Is he gonna try to fight her for kidnapping Idia? Is he really going to go along with the plan??* Kero: ...Listen. I know. Nobody is better than him!! Trust me!! I know how you feel!!! BUT--!!! Eliza: !!!! *Freaks out and slaps him confusedly* So yeah, everyone is dissapointed, but not surprised, including Ortho. Idia is speechless because he doesn’t know why he had any hope in him. Because Kero had the right feelings, but like always, he does not proceed how he should. Floyd: Haha, you were even worse than the lil’ cocodrile! Leona: Weren’t you the first one who said that will save the raddish sprout? What a pathetic watchdog. Kero: Shut the hell up. Idia: What was that... *sighs* Kero: Idia, I am really sorry... I lost at the war that is love for your heart... Idia: Excuse me what are you talking about?! You didn’t even tried properly!!! Kero: Don’t worry, I won’t ever give up on you! Idia: Well, you will have to if I end dying!! You are not even listening to me. Anyways, the final group of grooms appear and apparently Ace saves the day (to Kero’s disgust but well, it worked) so when Idia is released, Ortho and Kero are very relieved to see Idia safe and not going anywhere, so they hug him happily. And probably they won’t leave Ignihyde for some time after that. So that’s it anon, that’s how Ghost Marriage would go with Kero there. Nothing would change because I always rather prefer to fit Kero’s interactions with the whole thing than be different. I hope you liked this entire huge headcanon!! After this I think that nobody would doubt that Kero will fight passionately for Idia’s love again lol
