genuinely the way rendog talks about martyn like he's the one who got away is actually harrowing to me. he has this wistful self-deprecating serious tone that's rare for him and it sounds like he's at the funeral of a man who he got close to in the war but they both came home and married women and martyn killed himself or something and died closeted and ren regrets never answering his letters and calls at fear of being outted and no one at the funeral knows him so hes standing awkwardly watching his wife and family cry. except theyre coworkers. and he can literally text him. they are both invited to the same irl mcyter hangouts with grian and such. do you think he lies awake at night alone in his bed and thinks about how martyn is in bed with his literal wife and thinks bitterly about how if they had met earlier that they couldve had something. do you think he knows he's bisexual or do you think he's too sad that he can't have that blonde that he has given up on the prospect. i personally think having gay sex wouldn't help but joining an improv troupe would

It's been about a month since I last discussed the zora-situation, and I just wanted to thank y'all for having been so supportive and understanding during that time! (And to give y'all a happy update!)

Though what happened was incredibly emotional and stressful to me, and I found myself conflicted with things that had been said and done, I've been missing Kenne. Kenne the fish, not Kenne as in me... this isn't me dramatically staring into a mirror, my hand touching my reflection's hand, saying I miss myself. This is about Kenne, the sparkly whale shark.

To keep things short, after what happened, trying to think about anything zora-wise, outside of Sidlink, was incredibly painful. Not only emotionally, but I'm STILL finding clumps of hair that fell out during that time.

But thanks to my homie @cassielsunstone for being a fuckin CHAMP, I've been EXCITED to engage with Kenne again. Yes, she is still a deeply personal character to me, and through this situation, I've been able to reassess what I want her story to be, and I'm excited about the changes I've come up with! (And thank you to Cassiel for being excited for it too! And for listening and engaging with my ideas without needing a co-writer's credit haha.)

Anyways, keep one eye open! Cause if you're not paying attention, Kenne MAY just wack you over a railing with her tail! (Again, the zora, not me. Well, okay, maybe me. I have accidentally knocked someone over with my ass before.)

(before starting to read this please consider i do not remember all events and timeline properly yet so it can be inconsistent)

Okay so, my guide to how make vale and Casey even worse and more evil and toxic:

If they start some form of situationship let's say half a year earlier than casey gets to MotoGP (if i remember correctly he was 19 which means that when they start fucking he's 18 which is questionable but than again when marc got into MotoGP he was 19 and it did not stop vale even tho he was even older then).

It starts to involve some amount of feelings pretty fast so when Casey gets into MotoGP his whole "looking up to vale and watching his races" is a bit amplified and generally keeps on longer bc he has influence of not only seeing public vale but also the "private" version which helps to keep him captivated for longer. And it gives even more power imbalance to vale when he starts all of his mind games and manipulations because now he knows more about how Casey's mind works, anxiety and general stuff which helps him but also he has ability to manipulate both public in general and casey in private continuing whatever the fuck is going on between them but at the same time it fucks with casey head even more because he can't escape or even look from outside on this situation bc everything started when he was pretty young and probably without any previous experience.

And for example his phrase about "i told vale that I don't want to end up like his previous rivals that don't talk to him but we didn't speak much since than" can be even more deliciously bad. Anyway closeness to vale doesn't let casey get reality check as fast as he did irl and it probably gone way longer than it should have, probably till that pass in Laguna seca or something
