dark academia in my life

little to no makeup, dark circles always on display

long hair, either down or in a low bun

high waisted trousers, oversized sweaters and knitted jumpers, turtle necks, long trench coats, black boots

minimalistic jewellery, if any, and a vintage watch around my wrist

studying english literature and taking many electives because i want to know more

cloudy and rainy days, as well as soft autumn and winter sunlight, watching the leaves fall

enjoying the quiet of the misty november mornings more than any other time of the day

reading a book with a big mug of tea

poems suddenly appearing in my mind and hurriedly writing them down

the contrast of blue hour outside my window and all the warm lighting inside my room, either candles, fairy lights, or other small lamps

bookshelves overflowing, creating stacks of books on top of more books

classical music and hozier, but also occasionally nothing but thieves

but more often than not enjoying the quiet
