😘Kiss and tell the multiverse - this one's just a concept so far but it's basically inspired by the running joke in the fandom about Tim's infinite dating pool. So the premise is that Tim has a different partner in every universe so people who hop through the multiverse have started to use him as sort of a signpost to tell which universe they're currently in. Mostly a crackfic ngl xD

⏳7 minutes - your classic 7 minutes in heaven TimBer fic 👍 there's a party, the bottle is spinned and Tim drops into the circle at the last moment, just in time to end un the target of the bottle on Bernard's spin (effectively taking the spot from Darla). A snippet from the wip:

Feeling more bored now and willing to make stupid decisions, Bernard calls the bottle and gets the usual round of cheers.

A sound of protests and the rustling of clothes grabs his attention just as he sets the bottle into spin, and he looks up just in time to see Laura pulling some guy down next to her by his collar.

The dude nearly faceplants but manages to steady himself enough to fall into a sitting position and when he looks up, Bernard stops breathing.

Tim. Fucking. Drake. Is looking straight at him with blue eyes and a flushed face.

There is complete silence for a second before even more cheers erupt and Laura is clapping and Tim is…there and Bernard looks down so fast he thinks he'll get whiplash to see where the bottle has stopped and-

Like some deranged magic trick it's pointing directly at Tim.

Bernard is too dumbstruck to even notice that the bottle would have landed on Laura had she not pulled Tim down.

There are too many things happening.

🔥Burnt - This one's slightly on the more suggestive side. TimKon fic where Kon has feelings for someone on his team (coughcoughTim) but refuses to do anything about it so Lex, asked by noone, decides to take matters into his hands and mess with him. This one's actually being posted :D albeit slowly.

Robin puts his hand on the back of Kon's chair, preventing any escape attempts and leans down so they're the same level. The white lenses of his mask are practically boring into his own blue eyes.

"Any effect right now?"

It's at this moment Conner realises he has stopped breathing.

He wants to punch Tim so hard right now. He's lucky they're friends.

Still without breathing he manages to squeak out a small

"Nope!"

The white lenses blink and linger for a bit longer before retreating.

"Huh. Maybe it's not the pollen then."

Tim, the bastard, shrugs and walks away again and over to the coffee machine.

Kon realises he missed the beep signalling that the beverage was ready.

He sends a death glare to the other's cape covered back.

"Yea no need to respect my personal space, Wonder."

The sounds of metal against porcelain fill the space as the sugar gets added to the coffee.

"I had to check, didn't I?" Tim simply shrugs his shoulders again and takes an experimental sip. Kon silently hopes that he burns his tongue.

Unfortunately the robin looks satisfied with the taste test.

Noticing the silence and glaring from his friend he puts the cup on the counter.

"You're sulking."

It's a statement.

Conner continues the silent treatment. How Tim can be so blasé with this whole situation is beyond him.

❣️Heartbleed - This is an AU where Tim is Robin for like a Year, then Jason returns and he goes on to help/apprentice under Oracle instead because BARBARA NEEDS MORE LOVE AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO HELP HER RUN THE DAMN COMMAND CENTER!!! Anyway he gets rly good at programming and tech and is basically Oracle's backup and has access to almost everything that she has access to so he frequently pops up in places. Batman also has him run missions from time to time and takes on the alias Heartbleed.

Meanwhile Jason gets to join Teen Titans with Bart, Kon and Cassie who have been on and off in several teams but just can't seem to work in a team for too long (because they're missing 1/4th of Core 4).

Anyway Tim gets a mission to bring something for Jason to the titans tower and gets in because he literally has the access codes and runs into Conner when raiding the titan's fridge for a snack.

⛷️Skii resort - Tim is benched but is trying to sneakily keep working on a case involving kryptonite smuggling and catches that the smugglers are bringing the stuff somewhere out of Gotham. Coincidentally his school's annual skiing trip is coming up and oh would you look at that it's in the same place the smuggling is being taken! Naturally he employs the help of his best friend Conner Kent who he just tells people is from a different class and fakes a file for him in the system.

Meanwhile Bernard, shocked that Tim is actually taking part in school activities, decides this is the perfect chance to confess his feelings for the Wayne... Except he can never find him after the last group activities of the day end, and when he does see him it's always with some curly haired guy with glasses.

And ever since Tim was outed as bi there's been a steadily growing competition for the Drake-Wayne boy.

'

"Well it's about the crush actually." He starts in a hushed tone as Darla groans in the background. He may or may not have sought her guidance when he realised his feelings, completely bypassing the fact Darla herself also used to have a crush on Tim.

"So you know how this trip was supposed to be the perfect chance for me to …well… you know." His voice drops to barely a whisper "ask him out. He's actually right across the room right now so I have to be discreet."

"Oh? Then why are you calling me instead of cuddling up to the heartthrob?"

Bernard bites his lip as he sneaks a glance over to Tim.

He would love nothing more than to cuddle with him right now. Unfortunately however…

"Because a new challenger has appeared."

Another boy enters the room, carrying a steaming cup of coffee and makes a beeline straight over to Tim. He plops down next to him without any hesitation, and to Bernard's dismay Tim immediately leans into him.

Bernard feels like crying again.

"Okay and? Plenty of other boys and girls are crushing on him. You know this." Laura's voice washes over him in a calming manner.

"This one's different." He responds without letting her go on, eyes still trained on the pair on the couch.

Tim somehow looks more at ease now, the previous tension having left his shoulders, and the glasses guy is wearing an amused look as he peers over Tim's shoulder to see what he's doing on his phone.

Glasses guy -no- his name is Conner. Conner nudges Tim with his shoulder, but gets no response.

Bernard wonders if Tim is going to shoo him away, as he always does when someone bothers him when he's busy.

Conner's smile only grows into a cocky (admittedly handsome) smirk and he lightly shakes the styrofoam coffee cup in his hand. Styrofoam? Did he go to a coffee shop? How is it still piping hot then?

"Tired?" He hears Conner ask.

"Mhm." Tim's response is barely audible, though anyone could guess it from the dark shadows under his eyes. Bernard wonders just what his friend is doing during the nights.

reviews of every movie i’ve seen in theaters lately, because this is what i do with my friday nights now. maybe spoilers or whatever if you care

-Elvis: i do genuinely believe austin butler made some faustian pact for an oscar because there’s no way that he managed to turn out a performance like that when his resume to that point consisted of supporting roles in Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure and Vanessa Hudgens’ Coachella appearances. anyway it was unfortunately good, bc Baz Luhrmann is the hollywood purveyor of grandiose spectacle and tragicomic fairy tales, and for that end chooses his source material very well. costume design was objectively perfect, because of course it was. staging a montage representing elvis’s hollywood years to an instrumental britney spears mashup before punctuating it with the sound of a gunshot and cronkite’s voice announcing the assassination of MLK is probably one of the most insane creative choices i’ve seen on a screen and shows that baz knew exactly what kind of story he wanted to tell. the unfortunate part is that baz is also a wildly wealthy white australian who, despite a well-intended effort, was extremely out of his depth in trying to portray the nuanced realities of race in mid century america as they pertained to Elvis Presley’s career, but this effort still led to objectively the best musical scenes in the movie. stan yola and go stream her album right now. 8/10

-Don’t Worry Darling: literally so much fun. Harry Styles didn’t quite sell the character for me thru most of it, until the ending sort of gave some justification for why he might have come across as less than wholly convincing—but tbh i doubt that was an intentional performance choice. his press conference soundbite about how DWD “feels like a movie” got rightfully clowned on but it’s actually like. the most apt assessment of it lmao. definitely sets you up to know there’s gonna be some big shocking final twist, and while idk how i feel about it, at least it kind of resolved my biggest issue throughout watching most of it which is the glaring fact that not a single person in this movie convincingly looks like they’re from the 1950s. everyone in the movie has a face that knows about texting and the costume design doesn’t help either, literally like an online brain poisoned person’s mental image of what 1950s suburbia looks like, so that works. messy plot that didn’t really know what to do with itself. nevertheless Miss Flo ate and left no crumbs, as the kids say. also the supposed controversy abt the behind-the-scenes drama was one of the first truly enjoyable entertainment news cycles in a good long while. not a great film but genuinely a great time. 7/10

SMILE: viscerally creepy at a few scenes but that’s rly all there is. freaky premise on the surface but overall not very good and didn’t have anything to say about its central theme of trauma that hasn’t already been said much more effectively by plenty of other, much better movies. 3/10

Pearl: slapped, went absolutely insane, spoke to the soul, talented brilliant amazing showstopping spectacular never the same un-afraid to reference or not reference etc etc. never seen X and don’t particularly care to bc there’s truly nothing i could ever imagine in any way adding to what that movie did for me. didn’t breathe once during mia goth’s entire 8 minute monologue, literally exited the theater feeling like that “girls with they ____” meme, in the best way. she named her murderous pet gator after Theda Bara. absolutely zero notes. 10000/10

Moonage Daydream: A good movie to go see with your mom, if your mom’s celebrity crush growing up was David Bowie. 9/10

araki hours... going to talk abt his covers of villain and call boy bc they have some of my fav arrangment choices. which is ABSOLUTELY one of the reasons he has some of my alltime favorite covers and is my fav utaite in general. in addition to the fact that i just like his voice lmao. will keep this under a cut bc i babble

ok so villain can be up first. one of my favorite songs, and one of my favorite covers.

first off: his voice is just... so good for this song. i think thats exemplified in both here and call boy, because both of them really suit a voice thats kind of... yknow rough, a bit disinterested? which araki can definitely do. his voice just flows so well with the emotions to me like with the “nee” bit in the second verse, the way he gets like audibly louder and more aggressive? great. one of my favoriteeeee parts in this is around 1:05, where araki does this fun “ooh”ing over the whole “villain villain villain” bit, and it’s so. it made me go back and check the original and i’d thought the part he was singing was just an instrumental line but listening back it actually really sounds like flower’s voice with a lot of effects on it! and i think it is So Cool to be like. re-voicing that bc it sounds sooo good when its brought out like that. and then!! and then at the first chorus with the “ageku no biran” line, there’s just this nice added part in the back that extends to “no” into “no-o-o” and it sounds so good for real. but bc its like. a bit quieter it doesnt rly detract from the silence between “ageku no” and “biran” that the first chorus has... to me at least. i think smthing abt villain that i really love as a song is that its got soooo many lil flairs and flourishes that rly add to the whole thing, and it feels like araki rly commits to showing those off? like all the doubling thats here in this song. its so good. like the way the hits on “life” in the “dakatsu life” really, well... hit. the layered vocals sound so good.

secondly: call boy. gahhh again his voice just sounds sooo good w/ this song. like the whole song itself is this thing of like. oh fuck everything im in a destructive spiral and araki just totally embodies that callous feeling to me. im sure anybody who’s listened to his cover already knows what im talking abt but the line around 0:40 (”naa nandemo yaru kara sa”) is so. like the laugh between “naa” and “nandemo” ABSOLUTELY characterizes the song so well. its such a good detail and doesnt feel out of place at all, especially bc call boy also has a bunch of like those little vocal flourishes and interjections(? idk how to describe them) within the song. other things i LOVE though. in that same line when the “sa” is held out right before dropping into the next line and then the chorus, the instrumental has this little like. it walks up a few notes to build tension. and araki just voices that with lil “ooh”s! it sounds so good. then theres the chorus which is like. it sounds great. again lots of layered vocals which is great! it sounds absolutely explosive and also like, a party so very in-theme for the song to me. and then! the chorus ends with “don’t stop / kamawazu ni mou ippai” which gets repeated with some variation after each chorus. love that line. but araki also adds like some “ooh”ing vocals here which kind of... matches the instrumental? like its working off of the same base structure but it’s really not a one-to-one. but again it like really adds to the impact and it sounds good and I really think it makes it so like. the thing he did before feels consistent and reasonable instead of just random. these lil vocal additions right before and at the end of the chorus happen for all three times the chorus comes around! such a nice detail. and OF COURSE i have to mention the last line (”won’t stop / shinu mae ni mou ippai”) because oh my god. in the og this line is basically sung how it is in the first chorus, but the “i” in “ippai” is accented/held just a lil for some oomph. araki goes and like. changes the rhythm a little and ends up landing on a much higher note than how the usual line ends and it absolutely is just like. oh great that had so much energy to it that i’m ruined for other covers now.

hi! im having the struggles of my life with my writing rn.

i was wondering how you got your writing to this good. what i mean is how do you use such descriptive words and sentences and still make the story so cool and creative.

first of all i just wanna say, omg, this ask have been sitting in my inbox for AGES (maybe even years, oh god) and anon i really hope my reply finds you safe somewhere somehow!!! 😵‍💫

honestly, im not always satisfied with my writing too! like, it takes a reaaaally long time of editing, revising, and even rewriting before im truly ‘okay’ with putting anything out (as you can probably tell) — and even now i seriously hate reading some of my older works bruh

but that aside, i sat down and tried to compile a list of things i usually take note of. below are some tips that help me through the process!

when you first begin, you might start throwing in a bunch of flowery language etc. to ‘fancy’ everything up a bit (i was guilty of this lmao) BUT too much of a good thing can be bad too, so you don’t wanna risk wasting time on extensive, unrelated descriptions of things that you realise you didn’t have a purpose for in your story… so i think it helps to remember your end goal (by the end of this scene, what is it that you want to establish? what kind of emotion are you trying to capture with your writing?)

to give a concrete example on how: try tapping into the five senses! say i want to write about a creepy murderer in my house (just an example :p) and i situate my mc inside the closet. how do i convey their terror? fear? i would write about their lack of vision — the sheer darkness of the closet. maybe the smell of clothes detergent filling their nose. the muffled creak from down the hallway that makes their heart jump to their throat. adding realistic details increases immersion & absorbs the reader into the story. try to imagine yourself as the characters — what would you experience, feel, see, hear, smell etc.?

of course, this should be done in moderation so you don��t overload the reader’s senses lol ^

secondly, whenever possible, try to play around with your sentence structure. what do i mean by this? short sentences & long sentences both have their own effect (it sounds rly obvious, but it’s important to keep in mind while you write so you don’t lose sight of the progress, or the tone of your writing). when i write, i try to keep a natural flow of sentences (double-checking by reading it aloud in my head) so it doesn’t sound awkward. and of course, this is just my style of writing, but i like to include tons of what is called ‘free indirect discourse’, because i enjoy writing exclusively from a chara’s point of view. (it’s when your character’s opinions and thoughts seep into the narrative, so in this regard it makes it easier to convey their thoughts/feelings about the subject matter)

^^ there’s a famous quote by gary provost worth checking out about the varying ways to utilise long, short & medium sentences. that way, even when you’re throwing in abstract ideas / descriptions, it rarely gets bland or vapid to read :^)

but the best advice i can give you that most people will agree with is to read!! read more! find your favourite authors; what about their writing do you adore? is it their word choice, the clever way they utilise dialogue, the flow of their sentences or the creativity of their plot? there’s definitely merit in identifying these points! then you can apply them to your own writing (not copy, but take inspiration from! there’s a huge difference)

that’s about all i can think of off the top of my head. in the first place, i’ve only now started finding my motivation for writing after a looooong slump 😭 hopefully i can get back into the rhythm of it soon!

My god. where do I even start. Buckle up! We’re going on a legendary rant!!

First off... the series opens with a shot of the earth getting hit by a MOTHERFUCKING METEOR. Apparently that is the sole cause of the giant fissure that opens up and where the story takes place in

By the way, take a shot every time they say fissure (alcohol coma guaranteed <3)

So the gist of it is that this fissure opened up, because of the meteor, and some capitalist company invested ONE BILLION MONEYS into making a research center there (we're never told what they even research at all. "project icarus" gets mentioned once. they just happen to have like... LOADS of drones???), so all the researchers that work in that station move there with their children and live in the domes.

Btw the main character has hiccups helmet in his moving boxes for some reason? and the inside of his house is filled with viking shields and mjolnir/celtic tapestry looking things

anyway uh. in the first episode has someone send a drone flying into the fissure from the structure that overlooks he abyss, but fucks it up and the drone flies up into the structure, explodes like it was loaded with dynamite, and the structure starts collapsing. A woman who was there controlling a drone almost fucking dies by falling in. They added no sound effects to the scene also it was just. quiet. 

And the protagonist sees the dragon i guess, and becomes obsessed with finding out wtf it is 

so like. he climbs down into the fucking fissure, DUDE JUST GRIPPING ONTO SHEER ROCK LIKE A GECKO?? Finds the dragon, dragon kidnaps him, whatever. The dragon, thunder, the dude to a cave where they literally copypaste the forbidden friendship scene from httyd1 LITERALLY BEAT BY BEAT, BUT SPED UP, AND WITHOUT SOUNDTRACK 

(the soundtrack for this whole thing blows asshole too its so bad)

instead of feeding him fish he ends up feeding him........ frozen fish nuggets. but not before hes literally brought down every food item ever and thunder just keeps slapping them out of his hands?? also at one point he eats spaghetti and then projectile vomits the pasta on the protagonist.

oh yeah, “funny dragon burp/vomit joke” gets used like, 5 times. its bad. Also at the end of the episode they just straight up find “the hidden world” (its just a big cave filled with crystals i guess) 

the next episodes are honestly a blur, the asian girl/dragon duo gets even worse, here’s a screencap of me talking about it to my friends 

oh yeah, not mentioned here is how she goes on and on about ‘the legends of majestic dragons my uncle told me about’ and demanding the dragon listen to her (which it doesnt) until she realizes that doesnt work and its like aww... you dont wanna be controlled 🥺i understand you now

anyway uh. the show has six episodes. the first one is the world building setting etc. The next four are how each of the kids befriends their own dragon (all of them are extremely stupid). They explain the tech girls sad backstory and why she refuses to go outside.. is cause a dog bit her once. yep!! yep. 

They just straight up mention quetzacoatl by name when referring to the feathery dragon too (and the girl who tames him is latina too <3 the laziness is actually lethal) Her moms are lesbians tho so thats nice. Diversity win! The dogshit dreamworks show has an actual proper lesbian couple!

Theres a rly fucking funny bit in the episode where the black kid gets his gem dragon where they heal her from a grievous injury (itty bitty crystal shard stuck in her exoskeleton, was making her unable to fly or move properly ????????) where once shes healed they give her some space and more beetle dragons get close to her, the asian girl goes “awww they recognize her!!” and the other dragons immediately start beating the shit out of the other one LKKLSFKJLHDFKLHDF JUST LIKE THAT NO BUILDUP OR ANYTHING

There is also a reference to fight club (YES, REALLY) and it is literally word by word “the first rule of dragon club is you dont tell anyone about dragon club” 

Anyway, the shenanigans go on... awfully long. For five episodes straight. And then we get to the very very last one, the climatic fight!! 

Turns out all the earthquakes that had happened across the episodes were made by a big fucking dragon that just like, flies in a corkscrew and burrows into walls. The people at the project icarus building have no fucking clue what it is but theyre like “we have detected the epicenter of an earthquake that just moves along the cliff wall. They call in a cool lesbian to intimidate the protagonists mom (who is the lead researcher) or something??  And the mom is like “ok hear me out i have an idea. what if we just send a probe down to where the earthquakes are happening, and blow it up with dynamite. that will make the quake stop” and she gets, rightfully, contested by the other guy like um. i feel like that will make us fall into the abyss faster

shes like no no dont worry, theres no caves right below where we are. the explosion will do nothing to our base. it might fuck up some of the caves around though (and suddenly everyone is on board with this plan. the plan also involves doing this from a fucking diving bell reeled down like a probe into the abyss and just shooting the dynamite into the hole like a missile) 

AND  THEN. I SHIT. YOU. NOT. THE KIDS GATHER AROUND.... and the protag is like. “we have to send the dragons off to the hidden world. we have to say goodbye” cause if they stay out theyll die or something i dont fucking know

so they get Thunder to lead the others to the hidden world and have this whole ass sad scene.................. and then. two minutes later. two. they see the big fucking dragon come out of the fissure, and they revoke their decisions and go back to fetch the dragons to help them fight. 

The big bad dragon is so ugly by the way..... its like if Malefor was the dragon from shrek. 0/10 

Anyway they end up beating its ass i guess, it falls into the lava or whatever, no one saw the dragons because everyone thought the probe plan worked (it didnt) and the show ends.

There’s a reason you don’t like working with solo idols.

There are a lot of reasons, actually, but the main one is currently sprawled on the floor, chest heaving as he scrolls through his phone. Shirt soaked through with sweat. Scowl on his face. Pointedly ignoring your demands for him to get up and go through the choreography one more time.

“I’m tired,” he huffs.

You roll your eyes. “I don’t care.”

Jeongguk looks like you’ve just slapped him. “You’re fired.”

Stalking over to him, you kick him in the shin. “Get up, Jeongguk. You specifically requested to work with me. Stop wasting my time.”

With a groan, he pushes himself into a sitting position solely so he can glare at you more effectively. “Yeah, because you-know-who hired you-also-know-who and I need to keep up. If I have to read one more fucking article about him being the better performer, I’m going to—”

“Park Jimin is also a brat,” you retort, grabbing the back of his shirt to haul him up. “You want to be a better person than him, right?” Jeongguk seems to mull this over. Pushes his tongue into the fat of his cheek and nods. “Great, then get your shit together and stop complaining.”

Jeongguk does not stop complaining, but at least he gets his shit together. The two of you occupy the practice room long into the night, going over the choreography time and time again. It’s nearing two-o’clock in the morning by the time you call it, sending him off with a thinly-veiled threat that you’ll see him in two days and he better stay on top of the routine.

What you get in return is a first-class view of Jeongguk’s back as he stomps out of the room, nothing but his middle finger and an irked do you think Park Jimin takes days off? tossed over his shoulder before he disappears.

There’s a reason you don’t go after him, and it’s this:

The mutual beef he has with Park Jimin? The one that probably started off as this innocent thing not to be taken seriously before oops, it took on a life of its own and now it’s Very Serious? Yeah, that’s you and Jung Hoseok, too. Jimin and Jeongguk are the two hottest soloists in the industry, and you and Hoseok are the two hottest choreographers. Anyone who’s anyone works with Jimin and Jeongguk and Hoseok and you. So, Jimin and Hoseok? You and Jeongguk? Unheard of. Groundbreaking. A cultural reset. A trending topic for weeks.

You’ll deal with Jeongguk’s attitude if it means besting Hoseok once again.

On and on it’ll go, ad nauseum, until one of you finally calls it quits.

(Won’t be you, though. RIP to Hoseok’s career, but you’re built different.)

Still, you stare dumbfounded at the door, Jeongguk long gone, taking the last few strands of your sanity with him. “Fuck this,” you grumble as you begin to collect your things. “Girl groups only from now on.”

Running into Hoseok, purposely or accidentally, is not something that happens often.

However, when it does, it goes a lot like this:

“Fuck off, Hoseok.”

You spare a smile for the barista and grab your coffee. Jeongguk had texted you in a panic, said the café at the company was temporarily closed for cleaning, and since you’re much less famous and therefore able to go out in public, would you please grab him an iced americano on your way in? No mention of repayment, of course, because Jeongguk is a brat.

Hoseok chuckles from behind you, low and raspy in a way someone so insufferable has no right to sound. “Don’t be like that. All I did was ask how you are.”

You spin on your heel. Some petty, oft-used part of you hopes you’ll slip and spill Jeongguk’s coffee so you have nothing to give him, but you’ve been cursed with a dancer’s balance. “Right, and you don’t give a shit how I am, so you see my issue.”

He’s leaning against a table, a long-sleeved shirt and a loose pair of joggers dwarfing his lithe frame. That demonic Supreme headband is keeping his hair out of his face and you have to suppress a shudder. Hoseok may not be your favorite person, doesn’t even crack the top fifty, but you’ve got eyes. “Heard you’re working with Jeon Jeongguk.”

“Your point?” you prompt. A text comes through on your watch from the man in question: a ‘HELLO?? COFFEE????’ that you ignore.

You know Hoseok’s trying to get under your skin. He confirms as much when he says, “That’s a big get for you, huh? Taking a break from making the girl groups do half-assed hip thrusts so they don’t get banned from TV?”

Still, you can’t help but stoop. “You’re talking real big for a guy who got fired by the last girl group he worked with. If you can’t choreograph women just say that, Hoseok.”

Despite this rivalry being long-lasting and perpetual, Hoseok seems taken aback by your jab, like he didn’t expect you to be so blunt. His face falls for half a second, blink and you’ll miss it, and he resets it into something unaffected and cool. “I can choreograph women just fine,” he hisses. “Don’t forget—”

“The routine you did for that one group that became a TikTok trend.” You wave your hand in dismissal. “Yeah, yeah. You don’t forget who had to clean up your mess after you got fired. Took me weeks to sort out that mess.”

Hoseok doesn’t respond, just situates his drinks in the cardboard carrying tray and glares at you all the way to the door.

You wonder, briefly, if Jimin pays him back when Hoseok buys him coffee.

You take a deep breath. Try to remember all those calming mantras you used to do back when you still had time to attend your yoga classes. It doesn’t work. Weeks of pent-up frustration quickly heats to a rapid boil. Your body flushes hot, anger licking at your heels. It’s not Jeongguk’s fault, not really. It’s not even that the choreography truly isn’t good enough, it’s just—

“You saw his Studio Choom performance, right?”

Of course you had. Viral would be an understatement, and you knew as soon as you’d watched it what a headache it’d be for you. ‘Choreographer—JUNG HOSEOK’ had just been the shit icing on top of a shit cake. “Yep.”

“Then you understand why this routine isn’t good enough.” Jeongguk grimaces a little as he sees the expression on your face, immediately apologetic. “Sorry. It’s not you, I promise, it’s just—”

Jaw clenched, you restart the song. “Run it through again.”

“But—”

Truth be told, you’re kind of tired of everyone second-guessing your direction. Hoseok thinks he’s better than you, Jeongguk thinks he knows better than you. “The choreo is good. Better than good. If you want to change it, do it yourself. Otherwise, run it through again.”

A beat of silence. Jeongguk looks like he wants to challenge you, wants to find the bruise and press on it, but he doesn’t. Just pushes his sweaty hair off his forehead and gets into position.

“You look rough.”

You don’t bother looking up from your phone. You’d know that voice anywhere. “Ah. Well, I’m about to look a whole lot worse now that my sleep paralysis demon is here.”

Hoseok snorts, helping himself to the empty chair across from you. “Don’t be like that. I’m trying to be nice.”

You quirk an eyebrow. “You’re never nice. What do you want?”

“Nothing,” he answers, hands held up in defense. “I just saw you sitting here—”

“Looking rough,” you interject.

Hoseok nods. “Right, looking rough. And I thought to myself, ‘Wow, she looks like shit. I should see if she’s okay.’”

Irritation needles along your skin. “Well, good news: I’m fine, so you can fuck off.”

“You don’t look fine,” Hoseok says. He pops the lid off his coffee and dumps two sugars in. “Trouble in paradise with Jeongguk?”

Yes, you want to say. Nothing’s good enough and we spend all day talking in circles. I’m questioning my work and my worth and they’re not paying me enough for this bullshit. I haven’t slept properly in weeks. My entire body aches. “Jeongguk’s fine,” you say instead. “How’s Jimin?”

Hoseok studies you for a moment. Seems to see something floating just beneath the surface because he says, “Jimin’s fine,” and, somehow, you get it.

The next time you run into Hoseok, you don’t even have the energy to exchange barbed jabs.

You’re exhausted, to put it mildly. Beyond exhausted; something that’s bypassed your muscles and tendons and settled into your bones. Jeongguk hasn’t let up. Whatever Jimin does, he has to do ten times better, and the problem with that is it’s just not possible. Jeongguk is talented in the same ways Jimin is. They’re never going to outdo each other the way Jeongguk wants to.

No sense trying to explain that to Jeongguk, though. His skull is way too thick.

“I don’t have the energy to deal with you.”

Hoseok snorts. Sets a large coffee in front of you and doesn’t say a word about it. Just sets it down like he buys you coffee all the time and this is totally normal for the dynamic you have. “Good, because I don’t either.”

You hum. “Did you poison this?” you ask, peering into the cup. It’s exactly what you would’ve ordered for yourself.

“Only one way to find out.”

Traitor, your brain chastises as you laugh at Hoseok’s retort. “At this point, I think I’d walk willingly into death’s embrace.”

“That seems dramatic.”

You think about all the nights spent in the rehearsal space, Jeongguk red in the face as he watches some stupid TikTok video Jimin uploaded that he’s decided to take personal. You think about all the pitying looks your cat gives you when you don’t stumble into your apartment until 3AM. You think about all the coffees Jeongguk still hasn’t paid you back for. “Is it, though?”

Hoseok seems to be going through it, too. “Hm. Maybe not.”

“Working with Jimin is fucking awful,” Hoseok continues, his confession soft around the edges like his mouth is tired, too. “He keeps saying nothing’s good enough, that Jeongguk is doing this and Jeongguk is doing that. Like, wow, fuck me, I guess. Didn’t know I was hired solely to contribute to this weird vendetta you’ve got.”

“Jeongguk’s doing the same thing.”

“Really?” Hoseok asks, the surprise evident on his face.

You nod, taking a cautious sip from your coffee. Not that you care if it’s poisoned, but you’d like to avoid burning your tongue if you can. “Yeah. I’ve been spending sixteen hour days in the studio with him because he’s not satisfied with anything. Keeps watching all those fucking TikToks Jimin’s been posting.”

Head thunking onto the table, Hoseok lets out a strained groan. “He only started posting them because Jeongguk did first.”

“Don’t tell me that,” you nearly whine, “because now I’m gonna have to kill him, and I really don’t want to go to prison. I won’t survive in there.”

Hoseok picks up his head just enough to smile at you. “Yeah. You don’t really have a face for prison.”

“The fuck does that mean?”

“You know.” He gestures vaguely, cheeks reddening. “People in prison look like Post Malone.”

“So I should or I shouldn’t get the face tattoos?”

Hoseok clicks his tongue. “That’s a trap. You’d never catch me out here telling someone what to do with their body.”

The real trap, you think, is that fucking smile of his.

You don’t see Hoseok again until the end of season award shows.

You put on a pretty dress and have your hair and makeup done to perfection. You mingle and schmooze and make small talk with the people you’re seated next to. You watch Jimin perform with a polite smile. You watch Jeongguk perform with your heart in your throat. You watch both of them win and accept awards with what you’re sure is a pinched expression that belies your relief.

It’s over.

You never have to work with Jeongguk again.

“Back to girl groups?” Hoseok asks. The two of you have found yourselves alone in front of the hors d'oeuvre table, the draw of the bruschetta too strong to ignore.

You shrug. “I’m taking some time off to work on my failing mental health.”

“Good for you,” Hoseok says, smiling around a meatball on a toothpick. “Self-care and all that shit.”

“Mm, maybe, although I think it’s more like self-repair. What about you?”

The thing about Hoseok is that he always seems to catch you off guard. Always makes the move you least expect. It used to bother you, used to get under your skin something terrible, but now, when he says, “I’m working with Jeongguk for his next music video,” all you do is laugh.

“Good luck,” you say, reaching over and squeezing his bicep, and you’re surprised to find that you mean it.

Now you’re sitting on an uncomfortable wooden stool with a clipboard in your lap, Hoseok diligently jotting down notes on your right. “What’d you think about the second girl?” he asks. He’d foregone the contacts today, a pair of thick-rimmed frames sliding down the perfect slope of his nose. When you don’t answer, his brows knit in confusion. He snaps his fingers. “Hello? You in there?”

“Sorry. What’d you say?”

But Hoseok’s a bastard. Puts on a shit-eating grin and double-checks to make sure the cameras aren’t rolling. “I asked what you’re doing after this.”

That doesn’t sound right, but it’s not like you’d been paying enough attention to refute it. “Oh. Nothing, I guess. I was probably gonna grab a takeaway on my way home and hang out with my cat.”

“Ugh,” he retorts with a fake gag. “What are you, sixty years old? Live a little. Come to dinner with me.”

Now it’s your turn to fake gag. “Why would I do that?”

“Because you like me now,” he answers confidently. “Because you can’t stop staring at me and all this unresolved sexual tension is going to make for an uncomfortable work environment if we don’t do something about it.”

Your jaw drops. “What the fuck, Hoseok!” you hiss. “There is no—”

“Come to dinner with me.”

And if you agree a little too easily, a little too quickly, who can really blame you?

hello <3 since i got these asks at the same time i decided to combine my thoughts on them in this post. yet another annoying sjw essay from yours truly on this blog 

before i get into these i think i need to preface why im like. i guess overly hyperfocused on a certain unproblematic base (same age au / platonic canon) for them and avoid the ped0philic content like the plague lol

tw for pedophilia ment, rape ment if that makes you squicky. ALSO THIS IS LONG AND RAMBLY

as i’ve mentioned a couple times already, ive been into the ship since i was 12, back when it was very very common to not only post untagged (nsfw) canonverse content of the two in writing and in drawing but also non con and the like, so you can imagine how bad my first impression online was. thinking back on it ...as a child i found it disturbing but didnt really register how problematic it really was?? (i know, but i also lived in the middle of nowhere and had no one explain this to me) 

skip to 2014 aka me coming back to naruto at 17ish and i had kinda become hyper aware of the fact that there was an increasing amount of people online who had come forward with explaining how fictional problematic content, mostly pedophilia, had been used to groom them into starting relationships with adullts. it was also a time where a lot of people didnt believe these victims, not registering how common it was for minors to be online friends with adults who had no boundaries and no qualms exposing them such content. not gonna get into my personal life here but i was lucky to not having gone through this myself. like... it kinda was my first time truly realising how fiction can EASILY be used to manipulate others irl (and yes i will not argue this, if you dont think fictional media can form and manipulate people’s opinions on attitudes, countries, cultures and virtues, pick up a book about the effects of propaganda media at least once please) 

i, being young, still liking the dynamic but not really the romance, would point this out here and there in the fandom and get into fights with grown adults in their mid 20s who assumed i automatically hated the ship(s) and tried to restrict their freedom of speech or whatever, heard everything from the “age of consent doesnt exist in naruto” to the “sasori looks like a child what does it matter” despite people clearly playing on him being older and experienced. it made me so upset that people were just consuming all this content uncritically and exposing children to it tbh?? not really just sos but a lot of minor/adult ships in naruto in general. and thats where i sat down and thought, i do not want to be a grown adult talking down to children that point out how unsafe the fandom is. theyre absolutely right in drawing these boundaries and calling out adults who defend the uncritical consumption and creation of this content. i do not want to consume or create content that predators could use to groom minors, and i absolutely do want to let younger people in fandom know that i am respecting their comfort zones and want them to have a safe and fun experience. after all, naruto is not an adult show and i think a lot of people forget that!!!! i am not perfect in that regard but its something that i, at the age of 23, am very passionate about and strive towards to.

and i guess thats where same age au was born for me and i have been sticking to it ever since. 

so finally we can move to the first question 

aside from the fact that we both dont like canon sos, i dont think it would work out even if i wasnt prejudiced to it anyways. in all honesty, 35 year old canon sasori is not a redeemable character to me, given the fact that he’s easily amongst the cruelest villains in naruto (torturing and killing and taxiderming people for his own fun personal gain, never for a goal that served anyone but himself. how do you redeem having over 300 corpses in your backpack that you felt absolutely no remorse for killing). sasori was legit one of the only cruel villains that didnt had someone else pull the strings, which sends a clear message on kishi’s part, who absolutely loves to redeem villains LOL.

being that old, he obviously had already been very manifested in what he believed in, even if it was shakey, to the point where the first crack in that world view (sakura and chiyo protecting each other) immediately had him give up on his life all together. that, in my opinion, is not a man who’s going to know what healthy relationships would look like, regardless of it being romantic or not. 35 year old sasori to me has the same appeal as an expired can of tuna and he’s probably very happy 6 feet under. he’s supposed to be a failed gaara in that sense that he had no one to look out for him and therefore was never going to experience anything but a bad ending in life. its fine that hes dead honestly, it wraps up his short character development the best IMO.

adding to that, seriously, sakura was obviously interested in knowing why he was that way, and called him out for being seriously fucked in the head, but it’s weird to me that people assume she had any interest in actively rehabilitating him, let alone starting a serious romantic relationship with him. sakura who’s not only very, uhm, immature and straight forward when it comes to her romantic viewpoints also, as a big bootlicker, wouldnt soil her standing in the village by starting anything with a disgraced and far too gone criminal like sasori. shipping that version of sasori with sakura intimately is still going to set her up for a huge power imbalance that would be difficult to handle imo, even if she was the one in the fight ultimately exerting her power over him. i would still look at it and think damn she deserves better than having to play therapist for man like that lol.

additionally, even if you ignored all of this, you cant really ignore that sasori had already known her as a child, and that had been his first and most impactful impression of her. i dont think that sasori would look at 35 year old sakura and see her as a grown woman and not the little green girl she was in the fight. plus, you easily fall into predatory comparison territory between the “childish” and “womanly” and i have seen way too often in fic just being boiled down to her now being fuckable. a lot of of ships do this and i would just like to remind yall thats it not normal for adults to want to start relationships with children they have seen grown up or known as a child when they themselves were fully grown adults. therefore, maybe if sakura hadnt met sasori before it would be less of a problem? but that also obviously defeats the point of the dynamic and the reason he died in the first place. so yeah, it sounds kind of doomed especially if you were to make it romantic. 

WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE SECOND QUESTION

let me preface this that im not fundamentally against age gaps, even if im not super interested in it. after all, colorblind had a 5 yr age gap (with sakura being 21), even if, say, i wrote similar fics today i probably would make it smaller lol. i think it can be handled well if both parties have enough life experience to deal with it, and the author is cautious of where the age gap starts, i think a 10+ year age gap would be fine in a scenario where the younger party (i guess sakura) was at least 25-27ish, meaning she has completed most of her most formative life stages and probably had been in relationships before, meaning she would be able to handle it without having to fear a huge power imbalance. the older the younger party is the less the age gap is going to matter tbh .TsukiHoshino and AngelOfDeath10 both handle age gaps in their fics really well imo, so i do not mind reading about them.

unfortunately, a lot of people in this fandom think making sakura barely "”””legal””””” (18, not even 20 which is hilarious to me because the source material is obviously japanese) because they both cannot stand her being past her “prime years” of being young fertile and fuckable to much older men as well as thinking a 20 year old is automatically old enough to handle that type of relationship. ive seen a lot of unironic takes that believe it will absolve them of callout posts if they throw around age of consent and “shes 18 now suckers!!!” enough lmfao. absolutely hilarious. aging a minor up without aging the adult down seriously reeks of predatory “cant wait until youre 18″ narratives and thats why i find it similarly disturbing as straight up pedo shipping.

ultimately, sasosaku is and will always be a inherently problematic ship in canon, which is why i think it should always be handled a little more responsibly in fandom spaces, ignoring or outright excusing the main problem factor, which is sasori, isnt going to convince anyone that the dynamic in itself is well written and interesting enough to explore in aus, like giving sasori the redemption most of us wanted him to have by aging him down to a point in time where he was still realistically going to allow being positively influenced, similar to gaara. 

so really, what i think is well handled age gap and how most people handle age gap in the naruto fandom are two different worlds at times lol 

tl;dr

canon shippers have never been anything but gross when i was younger and i didnt wanna be like that, even if youre “smart”enough to differenate, actual creeps dont really care and might use your content to blur the lines, sasori isnt rly redeemable so romantic canonverse realistically wouldnt make much sense and is still iffy, age gaps are fine if they are handled well, but given that the dynamic doesnt really need the age gap to still work im not that invested on making that an essential part of my shipping experience.

The thing no one tells you about heroes and villains growing up is how eerily similar they are. After all, they’re both fighting for what they think is right. No matter how they tried to justify it; whether it was for the good of humanity, their own self interest, or based on their own beliefs, they all truly believed that they needed to do what they were doing. That was part of the reason why the Avengers scared you.

There were many reasons as to why they unnerved you, but it’s not like you could say that to them when you could barely manage to be in the same room as them.  All they knew was that when they rescued you from that HYDRA base, you were bruised and beaten, and too scared to let Bruce touch you. Now, you couldn’t say more than one word to them and it had been almost three months.

It’s not like they expected you to welcome them with open arms. In fact, most of them expected you to be like Bucky; with a cold and hardened exterior used as a barrier to hide your emotions and protect yourself.

“Hey, Y/N. How’d you sleep?” You flinched as Steve spoke behind you, despite knowing he was behind you before he spoke. You were trained to have good instincts, but fear overrides that mechanism, it seemed. The cabinet your hand had been on slammed shut, and you jumped at the added sound. Steve gave you a concerned frown, leaning closer to check on you. “Y/N? Are you-”

“I-I’m fine!” you squeaked out, scrambling backwards away from him. You darted back to your room before he could reach you.

Obviously they forgot that you are in fact, a teenager.

“Maybe she’s homesick?” Clint suggested, but Tony snorted. “What does she have to miss? HYDRA?” Tony, Natasha, Clint, and Steve were upstairs on the catwalk, watching you train. You weren’t dumb, you knew they were there, and you knew they were talking about you. You weren’t angry. They were probably just discussing why you were so scared of them again.

You huffed, punching the bag in front of you again. Why couldn’t you just ignore the feeling you got in your stomach whenever you saw them? You were able to pretend you didn’t have nightmares, so why couldn’t you pretend like you weren’t scared of them? You landed another hit, this time harder. They kept telling you they were good guys, one of them was even a doctor, so why couldn’t you find it in you to trust them? Why did it feel like they would hurt you no matter what? Your other fist slammed into the punching bag this time, with more force than the blow before it.

It had been months and you were still too scared to be near them for too long. You had flashbacks every time someone came near you, and if they managed to get close enough to actually touch you, you were terrified you’d hurt them, because that’s what you had been in the process of being trained to do. You were just a kid at one point, but now it felt like you were just a mess stacked on top of problems and tied together with thin rubber bands. Why couldn’t you be normal?!

You heard footsteps directly behind you and your body went into autopilot. Your foot swept behind you, locking behind their ankle and tugging so that they’d fall. They wrapped one arm around your shoulders pulling you into them and twisting as they fell. In two moves and three seconds you were on the floor and Bucky Barnes was hovering over you. You were shaking, and there was an emotion in his eyes you couldn’t read.

“I’m not going to hurt you,” he said quietly, getting off you. He moved until he was at least three feet away from you. “See? I’m not going to hurt you.”

You scrambled up, but didn’t dare take your eyes off him. “Why did you sneak up on me?”

He held his hands up in a surrender motion. “Because your hand is bleeding and I knew you didn’t notice.” You risked looking down at your hand only to find that he was right. You were actually bleeding pretty bad on your right hand. You must not have wrapped your hand right.

“You don’t have to punish yourself.” Your head snapped up to look at the older assassin, but his expression was still the same somber, familiar expression he always wore around you. “It took me a long time to realize that, too. I thought I deserved it all, the injuries, the remarks, the judgement, the nightmares.”

“You get nightmares, too?” Your voice was small, and Bucky hated it when he looked at you. You were so young, and he hated that you were able to relate to what he had gone through. No one should have had to go through that, much less a child.

He nodded. “All the time.”

You didn’t seem to know what to say to that. “Are they ever, uh-”

“Yeah.” He knew what you meant. Are yours real, too? “But it gets better.”

The skeptical look on your face made him feel like he was looking in a mirror to the past. “It does?”

“Yes, as long as you try to trust me. Do you think you can do that?” It felt sort of like he was talking to a toddler, but he knew starting from square one was his best bet. You needed to know that there was someone that wasn’t trying to deceive you, and he could be that person for now. “We can start by fixing your hand with Bruce?” He suggested. “I’ll be there the whole time,” he added seeing the flash of fear in your eyes. When you took his hand, he knew you were going to be okay.

For the next few weeks, the Avengers watched as you followed Bucky everywhere. He went for a run with Steve? So did you. He watched really bad comedy shows on the television in the lounge? You were there too. They watched you slowly become a little happier, until one day they were all just talking, not really doing anything and you came running in and almost tackled Bucky in a hug. “You’ll never guess what happened today!”And as you started rambling on, he couldn’t help but smile. Yeah, you would be okay. You just needed a little help.

- Whenever he kissed you, he made sure to bite you lips just enough to draw a little blood form it, praising your sweet, rich taste as you were shouting for him for doing that.

first: WAHHHHHHHHH 😭😭😭 I got so emotional!!! so emotional!!!! so much that I can’t even do this first second pattern bc I have SO MANY thoughts!!!!!!! I’m writing this in my notes instead of straight into the askbox so u know it’s serious business™

ok so debut night!!! I was like ahah yeah it’s a tragedy whatever it’ll be fun to start out with and then the voice acting was SO good that it knocked me out of the park and I almost cried haha. it’s crazy how good the voice acting in a3 is like I love how the dialogue and voice acting works well together bc like it’s limited but so effective!! u can so very clearly see and understand the style they’re going for. especially like tsumugi’s death scene... the Talent jumped out it really did... uh and ok so. I think I may be a littleeee confused abt the play bc I had always interpreted tasukus last lines as raphael to be like abt his being secretly in love with michael. but now that I’m actually reading the line that’s like oh don’t fall for a human it only ends in misery I know that all too well or whatever... ig the implication is that raphael was in love with another human / the same lady michael was in love with in the play. side note I had to go back and edit the proper names in instead of tasuku and tsumugi lol... but speaking of!! speaking of the voice acting and the play itself I 1) love how blatantly obvious it is when tsumugi goes for that grander, tasuku like style of delivery!! like u could just so easily feel the difference it was wild... and 2) tsuzuru is once again spot on with his writing, lol... I felt that like raphaels inability to save or help michael really parallels how tasuku feels abt tsumugi so well, and it’s wonderful that they r able to resolve things and tasuku can properly compliment him on his acting where the angels fail to do so. it’s very good. and I think the play rly highlights (for me at least) that like. to tasuku, it was tsumugi who was sort of an unreachable existence. like were he to idolize and respect someone’s acting, it would be tsumugi. and I think that like caring carries over into their roles really well, because I think in michael’s love for a human tasuku sees like... tsumugi’s style of acting. the heart that he’d lost while within the god troupe. mb I’m losing my mind a little but ah. the play rly works with their relationship so well!! im very excited to see the other winter ppl get main roles tho—same for all the troupes!!! now this ask is too long so I’ll have to do another part lol

going to start off this second part of the ask abt hisoka bc oh my GOD. hisoka. like I was just thinking “hm where r the winter troupe cgs anyways” and then BAM. hisoka CRYING???? especially since he doesn’t seem that emotional it was a really hard hit!!! and who tf is august.... ok well actually theory time!! skipping ahead to the end theres that note that like mentions December and April and. not to expose my friend but very many years ago (a couple years before a3 was launched, at the very least) she wrote this story where there were like 12 orphan assassins and they were all named after months. I remember the main dude was named dec lol. coupled with my “hisoka is capable of murder” bit? listen.... I’m not saying anything but I’m also not not saying anything if u feel me. also I feel like assassin / thief with mysterious background is a common trope!! that was silver from the pokémon adventures manga too... why is this my reference point lmao. anyways I’m unclear if assassins would make it into a3 but like.... if the yakuza and supernatural stuff makes it in...

okay moving away from conspiracy theories and into emotions!!! the quotes from like EVERY mankai actor before the final production made me SO emo... and yay!!! they won!!!! (though admittedly I almost had a heart attack when no one clapped) but they won!!!! that ending cg!!!! and I adore how sakyo immediately goes after god troupe man (I know his name is reni I just don’t feel like calling him that) for the money lol it’s just so sakyo-like. also I love the lil mixed troupe interactions!! I found the game night ch so fun.... ahh, now I wanna reread that ch since it was so good lol

all in all I was super satisfied ahh!! I am SO excited to start up spring troupe again (HELLO character development!!! and chikage) and I’m even MORE excited to get thru all the act 1 events!!!! as a final note, is there any way to reread or replay the flair conversations? I didn’t want any spoilers for the plays while I was doing the practices for them so I kinda sped thru the first time ahah...

HELLO FRIEND IM SO HAPPY TO GET SUCH A LENGHTY ASK ABOUT WINTER IM LKDJFLKDJFLKFD  Winter makes me feel shrimps emotions (i know the whole “shrimps can see more colors than humans can’t comprehend” thing has been disproved but i’m not letting go of that expression, i REALLY feel emotions humans can’t comprehend anymore and i’m going to make it everyone else’s problem)

1) First about the voice acting, rIGHT this is just so fascinating to me!!! I remember after act 2 i came back to reread the main act 1 chapter and i was so thrown out by how GOOD the voice acting was, especially for the first few troupes having to convince you they’re not comfortable or good at acting yet. Winter whole thing is that they’re more subtle and mature and you really feel that with their voice acting, Tsumugi’s voice especially knock it off the park anytime he’s on screen. 

2) Second: what does it say about me that i’ve never, ever considered your reading a possibility because i was so set on “oh Raphael you’re in love with Michael sooooo bad you see it as a tragedy already because you can see him throw his life away” i didn’t even consider “maybe Raphael went through that too”. Though i guess if we’re going with that reading i can totally see “The Woman” they let themselves consumed by easily be a representation of acting or even more the God Troupe, with Raphael/Tasuku knowing to step away before it consumes him completely while Michael/Tsumugi, by his love and passion, pushed himself until he broke, which fits and it hurtsssss god Winter plays hits so hard.

3) Third: oh god yeah when Tsumugi goes for Tasuku’s acting it’s just. It makes me SO uncomfortable, i’ve experienced this scene like three times by now and the third time i was just “can i skip it i can’t go through this again i can’t Tsumugi i love you i can’t do this”. It doesn’t match the play at all and it just throws everyone off balance, and Tsumu you could have told theM YOU WANTED TO DO THAT.... god

4) Fourth: I LOVE YOUR READING SO MUCH I LOVE IT I LOVE IT YES YOU’RE RIGHT!!! Just as we follow Tsumugi let his passion consumes him until he breaks, Tasuku’s character arc really jumps out in Raphael, like, everything you say!!!  The way Tasuku/Raphael knew how the feelings Tsumugi/Michael felt would hurt him on the long run but he didn’t know what to do about it until it was too late, the regrets and the way Raphael voices his frustrations.... Tasuku struggles to be honest without acting (Tasuku pls i love you) but having such a role really help him expressing all he feels about Tsumugi and i’m HHHH this is so good so so good!!! but yeah i also love that Tasuku finally manages to actually compliment Tsumugi naturally, that he understands he can’t let him destroys himself again and it’s just gnhhhhh Tasuku is so kind and considerate and i care about him so much....!!!

5) Fifth: “i’m losing my mind a little” winter mood, winter mood winter mood- (though every troupe’s mood tbh but Winter is gnhhhhh kdhd hdhjf??? you feel me) (i am BIASED i can’t help it TwT) but yeaH i’m looking forward to see how you react to the others plays because the roller coaster juST BEGUN!!!

Onto part 2... Winter Troupe Chapter Feels... 2!

6) Sixth: DLFJDFKLDF HISOKAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE HIM SO MUCHHHHH. Hisoka crying fucked me up so bad!! so so bad!! Like on my first read i didn’t know what to think of him as he starts out very apathic to his troupe and then the more it goes on the more you can feel he starts to open up and i’m soft for this sort of slow burn, but then this whole scene happened and it HIT ME IN THE FACE, he was crying, i was crying, we were all crying, the Unopening Door opened a flood of emotions i can’t cope with. He sounds SO VULNERABLE during that scene and i know all of the Winter Troupe united on “taking care of him” but that’s really the moment i went “i care you and i will keep taking care of you” and look at me now. Thanks funky little scene for ruining my life. I’m glad you liked it i’m aldhjflkjdfkd Hisokaaaaa.....

7) Seventh: I am not commenting on the theory but 👀 that’s so highly specific your friend has a galaxy brain i love it. and i love the idea of “well we have yakuza and supernatural entity what’s an assassin adding himself to it” dLKFJDLKF i know everyone in Mankai calls Izumi out everytime someone joins but that’d be peak. I’m not going further about what December and August and April are all about but i love this plotline sO much, the few mentions of August when Hisoka regained his memories for a minute still haunts me, the guilt he seems to feel and this pain i’m just... godddd such a good set up. I love this plotline.

8) Eigth: EMOTIONS!!  Oh GOD YEAH THE ENDING WITH ALL THE OTHER ACTORS... I cried so hard it’s just. It really shows you it’s not just the culmination of the Winter chapter but of all the act 1 main plot and it really makes you feel how much of a journey you’ve been onto!! A3 is so good at showing you the growth of its characters that especially by the end of Winter you really saw how all of them grew in their respective chapters and how cozy they felt in their new home in the remaining chapters, and the fact this chap has those defining character arc’s lines really drive home “oh my god that was a journey” i love them sO MUCH.... 

9) Ninth: wE WOOOON!!! They’re all so good i just. i’m gonna cry just thinking about it dlfdjlfk i know like, the game has so many content so you know it can’t end at the end of Winter but the suspense really was there. BUT YEAH LMAO I LOVE SAKYO DOING THAT IMMEDIATLY, man sure has the eyes on the prize and we love him for that.  AND THE GAME NIGHT SCENE they are all sO CUTE and sWEET and they’re a family now and i’m hHHHHH i love a3 a normal healthy amount that isn’t just making me cry thinking about how all of them grew so close even through mixed troupes.

10) Tenth: I am SO happy you were satisfied with the plot so far!! I’m genuinely so happy that you decided to take that journey with us and that you shared all of this with me, and i’m so so happy you liked it!! There is still so much content and all of it is so worth it! 

11) Eleventh: Yes!! The flair conversations are all readable on the Mini-Chat tab! So they’re easily accessible and they’re sorted in a way that’s easy to read so you can feel comfortable skipping the flairs if you want until you have seen the stories the flairs are all about. They’re all kinda set during the rehearsals (except for some crosstroupe conversation that wouldn’t make sense if they were like how the Summer Troupe talks with the Spring Troupe in their Flairs DKLFJDF but it’s okay what is a timeline anyway) so some of them are set pre-development and it’s wild to get back to them. I love rereading Flairs i get emotional everytime.
