Quick re-do of a 4 year old piece

#to test my abilities... no jk #I mean kind of lol #I WANTED To test my abilities but then I couldnt think of anything #so then I just redid an older piece #I remembered the old one started black and white and then I did effects over it so I did that again #cause I just wanted to play around with lighting #and I think its pretty obvious how much I've improved #I also only spent like an hour on the second one #wasnt trying to make anything amazing here #just trying t make something that reminds myself how growth can look and feel #important stuff to do as an artist #I'm still sick btw lol #I love how when youre losing your voice everyone goes 'wow you sound terrible'#I get why. I sound terrible. but its so fucking funny like. culturally #like holy shit what the fuck is wrong with you !#but its polite and empathetic #I havent been getting work done on account of is sick #actually not entirely true #I did a good bit of work for we were legion and some for TTA too #but it was just no drawing work #all writing work #which theres just a lot more of to for wwl than for tta #anyways #we were legion #zagan #art redo #art improvement #spent easily twice as long on the original thats a skill upgrade roight there

its kinda fascinating how you can draw something well and instead of learning from it for the next drawing you repeat the same old mistakes that kept you from improving in the first place

(was supposed to the next scene after the previous good painting lol)

its a rly early sketch (i know it wont work out though, too much wrong) but Zaphira (standing) was winning the fight against the guy that challenged her (he also cheated and attacked her weak leg with a dagger despite it being a fist fight) so he ordered the soldiers he hid in the audience to shoot, Shargon is catching the arrows in the air before they can reach her and she trusts him enough to not even react to it

#detective conan #case closed #ran mori #shinichi kudo #shinran #shinranweek2023 #my gifs #episode 190 #really wanted to get at least one thing done during the actual shinran week but alas!#could have posted it while it was still shinran week in hawaii but i disliked the coloring so redid it--think i like this more now #i was drawn to this prompt because 'the desperate revival' recently got remastered! it's so nice to edit with!#and there's a lot that gets me about this...#i liked the 'intimate gestures' prompt a lot too because it makes me think a lot about the love language of physical touch #which i think is really important to shinichi! look at how much he treasures being able to embrace ran here #as himself--in his own body #(and funimation dub only but in episode 42 he even says that he wished he could have held ran in his arms...)#also different note but love how the black organization is associated with black birds and how shinichi's entrance here is black feathers #and in that last one ran really should be the one protecting shinichi haha #but yeah! glad to finally have something posted! hope to finish an amv soon!!!

At the video store Ruth holds the tapes the club wants to impress Josh (doesn’t work).

She works various jobs around Eltingville to save up for college. She also worked at ToysRUs (prefire) then the Supermarket. She's always on that grind and sadly encounters these guys way more than the average human should, but weirdly enough she's okay with that. As long as she can pinch Josh’s acneridden cheeks she's fine.
