Listen. I think. I think it would work. I think we could've still won. The physics probably would've been a pain, but if I think about it as an echo of the red iin his costuming in the play at the start, and link it back to how the plot of the play comes to represent part of his life, it would [unintelligible]

But no for real, the sliver you can see of the snakeskin on Jo and the fact it's the lightest thing you can see on his whole outfit feels purposeful. It's still incredibly funny to me that whole thing was treated as a twist at all. But.

And the progression on account of the timeskip is sick too from a symbolic perspective. It's things like the 2019 tie having the exact same pattern as in 2000, but it's also now the only real color in his entire ensemble, the purple from his shirt relegated to the tie and the pink completely gone. Hanging on to the past (although I guess this is more RGGJo's thing), forcing his "self" into a smaller and smaller space, that kind of thing. If we go with Sololiquy for a moment, maybe there's also something there about things being livelier when Ichi was around, for better or worse.

All the leather is ostensibly much more luxurious, befitting of his rise in status, but it's also burying him further in these additional layers of security. The gloves DO pull it together, and they also leave him basically completely covered-up from head to toe, which I can't help find fascinating.

So, you know, he looks sick with the gloves on, but there's also a different Flavor when recognizing he had them on the first battle when he was hiding so much from Ichi, but in the second battle, where he hopes to come clean, he's bare-handed ("Ichi-vision" notwithstanding).

And I think it's also worth recognizing that the gloves would've offered some protection when he went to grab the blade, but he grabs it anyway in his bare hand. With the amount of force you apply when you swing a blade and it actually connects, that'd hurt him just as bad, but it shows he's past the point of caring about what happens to him even before he says so. (I still think we should've probably seen his hand cut and bleeding when out of Ichi-vision, but y'know.)

Much to think about...

The evolution of Jo's outfit in conjunction with the surrounding environment and circumstances really is mad interesting, and as someone who really enjoys 'storytelling' (idk if that's the exact word rn but i aint ever been good with words in the first place) through character design/wardrobe. Any note I coulda said you've already said for me, yet I still wish I had some more words to express how much I love the changes in his outfit and how it reflects himself and the story at that particular point 😷

Mitsuri Kanroji

She doesn't really wear heels unless she's going out somewhere

Mitsuri will wear heels if you take her to a club, a date, a restaurant, and any other nicer event

But honestly, she prefers running shoes!

They're convenient, comfortable, and they tend to match their outfits more often than not

Do not get me wrong, Mitsuri can definitely rock a pair of heels

I would say that the highest she can go is six inch heels and that's it

Anymore than that and she's wobbling

Mitsuri's favourite pair of heels is a knee high gladiator sandal that's all gold, and maube about 4-5 inches high?

It pairs lovely with her favourite dresses and skirts, especially when she's going out of her way to turn a few heads

I also think that she's the most graceful out of everyone here

Overall 9/10 she absolutely slays this

Obanai Iguro

He thinks it's stupid that he needs to clarify this at all

Can Obanai walk in heels? Without a doubt

Your next question should be if Obanai chooses to wear heels

And shockingly, he does

I think that Obanai will sometimes wear a two inch loafer heel just for some added height

Hella confident in them too, look at him go

Obanai will totally wear them to work, class, or anywhere he feels like putting on a little bit of effort into what he's wearing

I think on more fancier occasions, like a high end date or club, he might wear some pointed toe stilettos with a nice pair of slacks

Honestly he's not really one to exclude heels from his wardrobe, he's just weirded out by how fascinated people are on this topic

Do I think Tengen can wear heels? I know for a fact he can

But I just think that he never does because he can never find any in his size

Poor guy

To be fair, this man is fucking huge

I even have problems finding boots that fit my calves, deep down in my heart I know that Tengen has it so much worse

Cause even if he manages to find something that fits his foot, it might not fit the rest of his leg

He's actyally really devestated about it

All he wants is a nice pair of pumps to match Hina, Suma and Makio

And maybe a pair of lobster claws...

3/10, a slay in theory but not in practice

I WILL GIVE HIM THIS, if he manages to pay for a custom pair of heels, he will probably rival with Mitsuri in who looks the best in heels

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He says he can walk in heels

But I assure you, he cannot

I think that Sanemi is lowkey intimidated by the results of the other Hashira on this list and now he's in too deep to back down

So when asked if he can wear heels, he will lie to your face

"Obviously, you think I'm gonna allow a pair of shoes to get the best of me?"

Sanemi, you've got a big storm coming

All his machoness goes away the second that he puts them on

They don't really suit his style so he'll never go out of his way to wear them

Can absolutely strut in six inch heels no problem

I think that Shinobu wears heels often, especially if she's going to be out in public where she is certain she's going to encounter someone she knows

But I don't think she enjoys wearing them

In some way I think Shinobu wears heels on a semi-daily basis to compensate for her short stature

She wants to be on equal standing with others and in a way, this is her way fo tring to achieve that

Two inch boots aren't going to stop her from being taken seriously

She does try to find some light in her circimustance though

Her favourite pair are these cute mary janes, and she has another pair with a platform sole

So even if you see her wearing heels, please don't mistake that she finds them powerful to wear

It's more of a social thing really

Kyojuro Rengoku

I am going to say this as nicely as I can

Please be patient with him, he's learning T_T

He can still get to where he needs to go, he just looks a little unstable???

Kyojuro would really appreciate if you held his hand a little

Though I will say, he is enthusiastic about learning!

In a few months he can probably walk just fine in them

I don't think that he would wear them to work or on a date, but he might if he's going to a particular event where you try to look better than usual

Like a high end club or exclusive event, he'll probably wear something classy

I think his go to is wither a pair of corset heels or high blocks

Obanai is lowkey jealous because Kyojuro doesn't really need the extra hight

Giyu Tomioka

My first instinct was to immediately put Giyu on the 'Not Allowed' list

A hunch just told me that he would somehow cause more trouble if he wore any

But I considered it further and came to this conlcusion

Giyu can and will walk in heels, just nothing above three inches

He tried walking in four inch platforms and he was nearly tripping every two minutes

And if Tengen sees him exiting his apartment wearing them again he will not hesitate to put those things back where they came from

Giyu does like wearing heels though, even if he's not allowed to wear very high ones

Only wears them if he's going to a club though

His favourite pair is a professional looking pair of blue, beige and black slingbacks with a three inch heel

5/10, but he's walking on thin ice

Gyomei Himejima

I don't think that Gyomei could walk in heels smoothly, but he can certainly get from point A to B

He just can't do it gracefully

If Gyomei walks in heels, he won't ever admit that he's struggling and he'll insist that he's walking just fine

But he has his arms outstretched like he's walking on a tightrope

It's honestly just not his thing, and I don't think he would be able to incorporate it with his current wardrobe

Even if he had the desire to learn, I think he would hear the struggle that Tengen's going through and just give up

He already has to go on a lengthy search to find anything to fit him regularly, let alone a pair of heels

2/10 I can't say I would recommend this for him, no

Muichiro Tokito

You know those pictures of kids wearing their mom's heels?

And their foot barely fits in the shoe?

And they just look so awkwardly out of place?

Poor baby

I think he has some growing to do before he's going to learn how to walk in them

But Muichiro definitely wants to learn!

Given how his sense of style is usually baggy or loose fitting clothes, I can see him maybe going to Obanai for style advice in the future

Probably nothing high or flashy either, just probably a pair of classy heeled boots

I just don't think it's for him right now, at his current stature

Muichiro just looks a little bit out of place in them right now though...

He'll groan and pretend to be annoyed about it (he really isn't that much) but he'll comply anyway because he just can't refuse when it's coming from you

To be honest teasing you probably also is one of his main activities

But the second someone else than him tries to tease or mock you he's shooting them death stares

Moonlight

Waking to the immediate reassurance of Spencer in your arms is something that you’ve grown accustomed to, but have never taken for granted. Usually, his head would be on your chest or in your neck, with his body half over yours, but for the past few months that hadnt been possible. Instead, he sleeps further down the bed at his own preference, his head permanently resting beside your stomach as he slept soundly, one of his arms wrapped around you as you cradled his head, your fingers playing with his hair even after you had both fallen asleep.

More often than not, what wakes you is the gentle kiss that Spencer places on the side of your stomach every morning. Your eyes flutter open, welcoming the sight of his already beaming smile as he cups your face and kisses you, before pulling away to say “Another morning with the love of my life, how did I get so lucky?” in whatever way he saw fit. Most mornings he would say it, but on others he would so overcome with emotion that he couldnt find the words, and he would simply stare at you with adoration in his eyes, tracing his fingertips over the lines of your face, unable to comprehend the beauty that laid before him.

Every look, every touch, makes me wanna give you my heart.

And every morning, without fail, you are reminded of exactly where your heart has found solace. Because prior to even opening your eyes, you have gifted your heart to him all over again.

No matter when it is that you hold him, whether it be morning, afternoon, evening or twilight, you remember the first time you ever held him this way. You had been on your allocated holiday, two weeks away from work with which you could spend however you wanted. Naturally, the team pestered you with questions of where you would go on your holiday, and you refused to answer any of them, because for a while you just wanted to be away from everything, living the bliss of alone time. You told Spencer the truth though, of course. He had been respectful enough not to ask where you were going, he didnt want to impose, which meant you had to find a way to casually drop it into conversation.

“Im not going anywhere, y’know.” You blurted out as you cleared your desk, coincidentally situated right beside his.

Spencer frowned in confusion.

You continued “For my holiday, Im not going anywhere. Im just gonna stay in my apartment, probably binging every episode of Doctor Who.”

He smiled at this “Why are you telling me the secret you’ve chosen to keep from everyone else?”

Because Im in love with you.

“Because...I feel like you’re the only one that wont make fun of me for turning my holiday into the one thing I want most: to be locked away in my own apartment.”

Spencer chuckled and wished you a wonderful holiday, then the conversation was over. Despite it being what you thought was completely useless information, it made you feel good to have a secret that only Spencer knew, no matter how pitiful that secret was. You never imagined that it would lead to him arriving at your door a week later, after a particularly harrowing case, and immediately crumbling when he saw you. The man you loved more than anything broke in front of you. Without hesitation, you pulled him into your arms and kicked your door shut. Neither of you said anything as you led him into your bedroom, you knew it was a completely non-sexual situation. You laid down and pulled him on top of you, playing with his hair and shushing him quietly, reassuring him in comforting whispers, but not asking him to talk about what had hurt him so much. You awoke in that position, with Spencer on you, both of you fully clothed, and you smiled down at him as you gently caressed his cheek.

‘Cause I never knew, I never knew, you could hold moonlight in your hands, ‘til the night I held you.

How odd it felt, and continues to feel, to hold such a uniquely beautiful light as dawn breaks; a time when nobody else is looking for it, so you alone cherish the light in secret. It’s a pity that people cant look past the daylight to see the moon that remains behind it, but he wouldnt wish for anyone to, apart from you.

You rest your head on Spencer’s shoulder, accepting the guilt of not being able to pay attention to the film playing on the television in front of both of you, because you’re cuddled up on his lap. Feeling his hand move, you glance down, to see him subconsciously running his thumb over your stomach, the rest of his hand remaining still under yours. The light from the television catches in the jewels of your engagement ring, and reflect off of the wedding ring that sits beside it on your finger. You smile, feeling a sudden wave of emotion wash over you, swallowing you completely as your chin begins to wobble and tears fill your eyes. The moment Spencer hears you sniffle, his eyes are searching your face, and his arms are pulling you closer.

“What’s wrong? What did you think about? Did you see a dog today? Are you craving something? Do you-”

You shake your head at him and he immediately stops listing all of the many possible reasons you could be crying, thinking you’re going to answer him. Instead, you tearfully lift his hand and bring it to your lips.

I kiss his fingertips as I'm wishing he's all mine.

Moving his hand slightly, you nuzzle into his palm.

“Just want you, forever.” You mumble, and you watch as tears enter his own eyes.

“And you’ll have me, forever.” Spencer answers, his voice hoarse with emotion as he cups your face in his hands and leans in to capture your lips with his.

You are my moonlight.

But the moon doesnt know how to light up on its own, it seeks the assistance of another ethereal being. And to Spencer, there you are.

You disagree, because the sun is so much more powerful than the moon, it can stay alight all on its own, and that is not how you see yourself.

As he stands a few feet behind you in the doorway, watching you examine your reflection in the mirror as you stand at different angles, he sees everything he could possibly have dreamed of, and so much more. He approaches you from behind as you continue to judge whether or not this dress makes you look like a tent from the stomach downwards, and his arms wrap around your waist effortlessly, proving to you without words that you havent expanded beyond human possibility, as difficult as that is for you to believe every time you catch sight of your reflection. He rests his head on top of yours, places a kiss there, and then looks into the mirror, straight at you.

The way he looks at you, the eyes that are hypnotised by nothing but love whenever they glance in your general direction or at the mention of your name, it is reciprocated. Holding you, treasuring you, loving you, in the same way you do to him. You need someone to ignite you as bright as you possibly can, just like Spencer. And to you, there he is. You are one and the same. Could it be?

He calls me ‘Moonlight’ too.

I swear every time I turn around you’ve posted another masterpiece I’m jealous you can draw so fast it takes me like 3 days at least for a piece lol

AHH i keep being asked this and im flattered yall think this?? ill take a bit to explain the choices that help with my speed and circumstantial stuff that helps a lot

obligatory YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THINGS FAST taking your time is good!! i just get bored easily so i like being done with things and moving on, but i'm very aware of the fact that social media rewards this and punishes inconsistency so i get it lol

long ass ramble under the cut lol

okay so things i deliberately do to draw fast-

i specifically have 2 distinct styles because i constantly have too many ideas, and most of them don't need to be several hour long illustrations so i try to pick my battles and go for a simpler more expressive style for shitposts/memes/etc and reserve my more detailed style for ideas that actually benefit from having that extra time and effort. ofc this won't work for everyone but i tend to have 50 styles at any given moment anyway so giving myself the freedom to switch between them has been really nice

not necessarily deliberate??? but theres no perfectionism in this house, which helps a lot so i don't spend ages fussing over minute details (im a perfectionist at heart but a lazy one LOL)

giving myself time deadlines is also really helpful, like "i have to finish the lineart im the next half an hour" has been really good for getting me to focus and get things done, even if i don't make the 'deadline'. i think generally being conscious of how i use my time is good

okay so circumstantial (?) things-

ALSO USE REFERENCES they help a lot!!! stumbling around trying to figure things out on your own is time consuming, don't be scared of using references!

this isn't a speed thing but i think it's important to note that i spend like ALL my free time drawing, probably to a ridiculous degree. i draw during my work break, i draw after work, on the weekend, speed is nothing in the face of time lol. im usually tired after work but im also stubborn so i try to push through and draw anyway (50/50 chance it works and i get something done or i just sit there in a daze wishing i was asleep LOL)

im also a dumbass who takes on way too much, i have a whole buncha zines and commissions constantly at all times cause i can never say no so i kinda just HAVE to be fast to keep up with everything. i don't recommend it but it's a thing ashdjfj

i also used to be on tiktok and for some god forsaken reason i spent like a solid few months consistently posting 3 times per day which burnt me out SO fast and i absolutely don't recommend but it definitely required speed lol

i will also say that as i draw more and feel more comfortable in my art it comes to me a lot more naturally, and i'm able to make decisions on the fly a lot easier

also okay so starr lore my dad used to be really against me drawing so i would have to sneak onto the computer when he was out of the house hahaha, this gave me anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours per day to do whatever i wanted, so i had to quickly adapt to that and be super fast if i ever wanted to get anything done

again speed isnt the be all end all of anything, tbh most of this is just my brain working in weird ways that prefers the quicker pace so please don't compare yourself!!

hiii monica!!! hope your day is going great :)) i have so many thoughts and feelings about lt and mohkday, i thought it'd be better to tell you than make a post of my own (i feel like most of these things have been said already, but just so i can get em off my mind) hope it's not too much :D - just so much of how the plot being what drives their relationship forward than tropes. we got the 'sharing a bed' and for what! in the end, it dint act as a catalyst in any way. rather, it's the casual intimacy, of day feeling what mohk is wearing, remembering his scent and being able to recognize his touch that invokes the flutters. all of which are basically essential considering day has to rely on his other senses to be able to single out mohk from a crowd. and yet. it's how the touches start to linger, as they gain new meanings. as they begin testing the waters. all while mohk has the most smitten smile (that day doesn't see). - it's their little spontaneous outings, and mohk only selecting the most perfect spots, so day can make the best out of them with his other senses, where his deteriorating vision only feels like a mild inconvenience. a flower market (touch and scent), a bridge with a prominent railing (day can feel his way along), rooftop (you can probably feel the breeze in your face, and it's totally empty, perfect to clear your mind after a rough night). - mohk planting jasmine in HIS house, and bringing the book home to practice??? how do you even come up with the second one? day's reactions when he found out!!! lmao he never stood a chance. (also giggling, kicking his feet, twirling hair day is asdajkdhjf, every expression is. i am.) - the goldfish slippers. if day's at home, he's cozy in them and it's simply the most endearing thing (day is, who am i kidding) - anywhere day has to be and he's pondering out loud, basically about to wave it off with some or the other excuse, 'it's a hassle anyway', mohk will catch on immediately. 'what are you waiting for? i'm here to take you' something about that is just. i know you want to do this and i'm not going to let petty things hold you back - their story develops from their natural day to day interactions. but it's so immersive. seeing mundane gestures gaining magnitude as feelings come to light. someone needs to write a 50k fic is all i'm saying. - the intimacy thing? god where do i even begin. to the bed scene with them covering each other's ears, i saw someone comment 'hope day's walls are thicker' and i haven't been fine since. and if you remember, one of your tags, i guess around the ep 3 dressing room mark, you said something like 'they're gonna touch one naked shoulder and have to go lie in the grass to calm down' and i know the vibe bw those two statements are wildly different but i haven't been able to get it out of my mind. you hit the nail, because it's exactly what's going to happen. it's just SO them. and that's SO. that extent of treasuring one another, the adoration, the pure raw emotion behind finding people in life, that you want to keep forever. it's the finding someone who sees you differently from everyone else, who never takes you for granted, who is elated to be in your company every single time. who above all, makes you feel safe. - everything about them is so. for lack of better words, natural. like second nature. like falling into place. you're so right. they invented romance. and i think no one could've captured it better than jimmysea, cause no one does gentle, comforting, homely like them. but that's just me. -Skate

AND SPEAKING OF YOUR THOUGHTS!!!!!!!! i absolutely agree with you about tropes in last twilight not being used to further mork and day’s relationship. we still have a few of them (the 'there was only one bed' like you said, the 'trip and fall into you', the 'wipe the corner of your mouth') but they blend into the narrative almost seamlessly: they're not the focus of a scene and the flaw of the story doesn't stagnate around them by lingering on how the characters react to the trope. rather, they're used to either give the audience a subtle clue about what those characters are feeling or give more weight to a scene. the simple fact that mork and day are gonna sleep in the same bed carries in itself a certain kind of tension because the viewers recognize the trope and with that recognition come a whole series of expectations which p’aof then proceeds to subvert. if it were any other show, we would have probably had mork offering to sleep on the floor only for day to say it was okay for mork to sleep in the bed as long as he kept his hands for himself, and still they would have somehow ended up cuddling. but the trope is only a set up. p’aof refuses to use it as a plot device and lets his characters build intimacy in a different and much more genuine way: it’s mork giving day the thinner blanket so he won’t be hot and day recognizing mork’s scent on it, it’s mork having a bowl of water and jasmine flowers at the ready to help day relax, it’s day offering mork one of the flowers to smell and getting flustered at the feeling of mork’s breath brushing his fingers…….. it’s just so refreshing to have, on one hand, tropes being used as the framework rather than as the subject of a scene, and on the other, intimacy naturally developing from day to day interactions (again, like you said) without having to rely on said tropes

last twilight is also the proof that you don’t need an intricate plot to make a show interesting: even the most mundane acts like eating a meal or cleaning a fish tank or smelling a flower can gain magnitude and keep the viewers attached to the screen if the director knows what they’re trying to tell. and while i do want jimmysea to explore and be able to portray different genres, i do think this type of story is where they truly thrive. one of the major complaints i still see about vice versa is that the fantasy aspect of the story is put in the background to favor puen and talay making movies with friend credits instead, but to me that’s actually the strength of the show, because, to quote you, “no one does gentle, comforting, homely like them (jimmysea)”. AND GOD DO I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS. the mundanity of everyday life is often seen as boring but it’s in that quietness that their chemistry shines, giving us one of the most natural and soft kind of intimacy i’ve ever seen portrayed in television. that’s why i would love to see an intimate scene between mork and day but i also pray that we never going to get it because YEAH I REMEMBER THOSE TAGS I WROTE AND I STAND BY THEM. the kind of intimacy jimmysea can bring to the table paired with the intensity that p’aof can put on screen and the depth of emotions that mork and day feel for each other (the vulnerability the understanding the acknowledgment the recognition the seeing the wanting the care the love)??????? actually im gonna spit out some JMV headcannons before i post the Lucidity stuff (it's still not ready btw)

Because of how dangerous Obsidian and his team is, and how long he's been at it, pretty much every universe has a way to quickly get out that Obsidian has been spotted so people can try to get somewhere safe. There's also an alarm that goes off on the local level, to immediately tell everyone in town that the bastard and/or his retinue has showed up. This alarm is different in every city, village, whatever, and it's supposed to be something innocuous that can be passed off as, like, random background noise. this one is relevant to like. one sentence in the rambling essay I have. so far, anyway.

The larger 'alarm' also goes directly to the resistance. Even if they can't directly interfere (which is every time Obsidian himself is there, though the team without him is a little easier to deal with), they can monitor the situation, help people evacuate, and/or assist with dealing with the aftermath. this isn't so relevant and it actually only just occurred to me that the resistance would want to know about that stuff immediately.

The resistance in incredibly careful about being spotted by any of the team, but Obsidian in particular. While they have a multitude of ways to GTFO when spotted, the chance of being captured once spotted is greater than 0. And that's far too much. They're fairly sure most of the team doesn't want to be there, so there's a slight chance they'll intentionally lag behind so they don't have to bring whoever it is to Obsidian. Still; if they're caught, they're going to be interrogated. And there's a very good chance they're not going to make it out alive.

Due to #3, they've all probably spotted resistance members (that they recognized as resistance people) a few dozen times, and Obsidian only has seen as many as he has because he's been doing this for decades. He rarely ever sees them at all. They're very good at hiding.

They have a lot more info on the team than Obsidian is comfortable with; not that he knows. They still don't know enough to be comfortable confronting him yet. However, on a few occasions they have managed to dissuade the team, and once even Obsidian himself, from causing trouble. They're very proud of this. They really, really wish they could manage it more often. Unfortunately, after the one involving Obsidian, he got wise to their shit and they've had much less luck.

Peridot's whole personality is a big ???? in canon so pretty much any traits, motivations, morals, etc that people give her are headcanons. I'm pretty sure we weren't ever even told what Dot's gender and pronouns are, im just gay and think she's a butch lesbian (not necessarily strictly a lesbian). But I think she's probably the type of leader who's willing to sacrifice a few people if she absolutely has to, but does everything she can to avoid that. Enough people have died to this bastard, she'd really rather not add more to that count. unfortunately there's quite a few people with her who are more than willing to sacrifice themselves. This is could be relevant, but I'm not sure yet if the event that it would be relevant to would or will happen.

Because of a number of factors, Dot hardly ever goes out into the field herself. If she does, she is very careful to conceal her identity and to never, ever be anywhere that Obsidian is. As a spirit, he'd sense something's weird about her immediately. And that will narrow down his search considerably. Even if she has nothing on her to identify her as part of the resistance at all, she's really sure he'd assume she's at least close to the leader, if not the leader herself. It's much, much easier to search for someone that you can immediately sense as being Different without even having to see or hear them. And since Obsidian is the only one who'd be able to sense her, that means he's going to have to search for her himself, which means he's going to be out terrorizing the populace more frequently. She'd rather he knew her face and name than the fact that she's a spirit.

1. Who has been your favorite muse to play?

ughhhh this is hard...im gonna cheat and go for nostalgia ok

although i think i missed the mark with her muse in some places i have a special fondness for dahlia hawthorne and her specific brand of caustic sarcasm.

i don't think i've ever come up with so many different creative insults during her runtime...also she had the neatest mix of relationships with random muses, not just in AA cast (tho i remember her tormenting at least 3 different feenies??) but beyond, notably izaya and edward cullen comes to mind.

i also really liked my run as kasen kanesada because he's a very lyrical sword (or at least works hard to cultivate that image) so i had to express that in writing and ended up having a lot of fun doing flowery replies and making up poetry and generally going big ham. (it did take a lot of mental energy though so i started losing steam later on.)

i remember he had a thread with FGO Shakespeare that was pretty nice cause we got to be nerdy and talk about eastern/western literature lolololol, then for his challenge he had to kill like 5 ppl in 24 hours so i actually got 5 volunteers to get decapitated and RP'd mini threads with them all, which was wild (and again a very, very random mix of muses including X-Files Fox Mulder)

i didn't RP OCs back then but i like them a lot now too! the lack of art is an unfortunate reality but the amount of customization you get in exchange...so powerful.

5. What is the most difficult thing about writing your current muse?

So since there was a bit of interest going around, i thought i should finally bring this to the world and share about it. Soooo....

What is CGG?

Cgg stands for college greek god. The name for this au is still a wip bc this was during school time and i just needed a quick name to call it jfuieujdjd. This au is basically a slice of life au, following the sextuplets in a bunch of goofy (or even angsty)  college situations 👀(yes, they're actually in college here dndjsj). 

Now, I know the name can be a lil confusing. But no, the bois aren't born as gods. They are not reincarnations. And they are not possessed. They're just their normal selves along with everyone else. It isn't until a field trip to a museum in their elementary school days that their, and so many other people's, lives have changed. An artifact they were exposed to somehow caused them to embody divine beings. But they don't know it happened. One day, something triggers the being to "wake up" inside of a person and now this person has special abilities, along with some characteristics, instincts, and even a sense of memories from the being that now sorta resides in them. Whoever has been affected can have a god, goddess, nymph, titan, etc in them now (i don't know if i will add monsters to this). The bois have 2 gods each (I'll explain later as to why). Being gods, these new consciouses have a big influence on the bois, probably leading them to make choices they never would've faced on their own. But really, everyone who has been affected is just trying to live their lives like everyone else. It's their choice to keep trying to fit in or not.

Like I said before, each Matsuno brother has 2 gods residing in them. That is because there are a few canon Greek god aus, but the gods the bois represent are not always the same. There are a couple I had to choose myself, but this is all mostly guided from canon aus and art. If a person was affected they can have 1-2 beings in them

This au is originally intended as a friend au. All the Matsuno's are already paired with a sona belonging to my friends. I'm not saying that your sona/oc can't join in and be paired with a Matsuno or interact with them in any way, I just ask to respect that this au was and is ORIGINALLY for my group of friends to enjoy. They also help me with a few ideas to make this au better and more fun fjekfkdk

Another thing i hope that you respect is that there is NO PROSHIPPING and NO NONCON/DUBCON in this au. Yes, i know Greek mythology gets a little.....much, but I don't want that anywhere in my au. So don't make the excuse that since 2 gods were lovers before, that's an excuse to bring in blmatsu or whatever else. frank has a TON of songs about that relationship, or that at least mention it? i think sometimes his songs reference multiple things but like there are soooo many songs that are at least partially about gerard. weighted (more about the end of the band, at least in part, like i said), stitches, guilttripping, all i want is nothing, diluted, why is love so disastrous?, choke on one another, where are my fucking pills?, underneath it all, possibly i dont know much but i know i loathe you, world destroyer, they wanted darkness, ill let you down, oceans, the resurrectionist, viva indifference, young and doomed (lol), fever dream, the host, basement eyes,ode to destruction, medicine square garden, record ender.....im serious i know i probably sound insane but there is at least one line in all of these songs that i believe are about that. gerard has way less solo stuff first of all, but also just doesnt write about it as much i thnk because its not the heartbreak perspective, from his perspecting at least in millions like hes not nearly as torn up about it so like hes just not giving it quite thhe same brain power, plus his lyrics are more like metaphor and storytelling than strictly personal like franks so it makes sense. but the bridge of no shows is VERY about the band to me.

i tend to try to avoid talking about family members of the band who are not public figures, because i think thats the most respectful option. and that stuff isnt my business. but frank has talked about being in an open relationship at the beginning of the band before, and also theres the swinger allegations. ill just say that i dont think he was ever cheating, physically or emotionally, and that everything was known and communicated.

i think that things were a little stiff at the shrine due to nerves mostly tbh. they hadnt done it in so long and they didnt know what the reception would be. i really think it was all nerves. because i think they absolutely had to put in work to repair that relationship before making the decision to play a show and go on tour. so i do chalk it up to more just being out of practice and being nervous rather than them not being close/friendly at that time. i think theres also a level of like anxiety around being to affectionate/friendly in fron of fans these days and they were still trying to figure out then how they would approach that. because i do think that thats a thing, but sometimes they also slip through that and now they DO show each other affection on stage sometimes so. you know. its a process i guess.

Mishima and Akechi are watching a tv show together. Mishima checked his phone about 4 minutes in and never put it back down (the show was uninteresting, to say the least). And suddenly perked up upon coming across a specific post.

"Oh!" he exclaimed before whipping his head to look at Akechi with a grin so jubilant it made the detective just a little fearful.

"What?"

Mishima turns his phone toward Akechi's direction, displaying a tweet from a "What National Day is it?" page. Today specifically, was Pocky Day.

Akechi stared dully at the screen, the implication of doing something so useless and lovey-dovey making his stomach churn.

"We don't have any Pocky." he intoned.

"We do, actually. I went grocery shopping yesterday."

"Thats... why are you grocery shopping for me?"

"Unimportant. I'll go grab it now!" Mishima scrambled off the couch and into the kitchen, clearly thrilled with the whole idea.

The opening of a cabinet and rustling of various foods as Mishima assumedly searched for the Pocky caused a small sense of anxiety settle in Akechi's gut. He shook it off, clearly it was just anticipation. He shook that off too, this was nothing to anticipate. It was just normal, boyfriendly behavior.

Mishima came back with the box, and hopped back into his seat. Quickly unpacking it, he places the stick into his mouth and looks at Akechi expectantly. Shaking off his nerves for the last time, Akechi leans forward, chomping down on his side. He'd been too wrapped up in his own thoughts to see the actual box, Mishima had gotten his favorite flavor...Probably just a coincidence.

Okay you see yeah the video is strange in itself and it’s clear one of them knew that person was there, or both, obviously Carlos looked to be ahead of her, so obviously he noticed the person (if he didn’t know about it), and obviously it’s Carlos he grew up in the spotlight in Madrid cause of his dad and he’s in the spotlight now cause of his career, so he knew people were gonna record him regardless of where he is, but it seems as he saw the person and didn’t think much of it and he just continued on with his day. Maybe he knew that person was there cause obviously meetings are a thing and so they probably told him that person would be there.

Now I don’t want to say Carlos O. Called someone to wait at the bar or whatever to film them, cause let’s be realistic here, Carlos Sr or Carlos O. Calling anybody to sit there for maybe hours just waiting for this moment, is weird as shit in itself if they were to ever do so, cause people are gonna go up to Carlos Jr and ask for pictures the moment they recognize him cause guess what, the Sainz are well known in the Motorsport world. Especially in the surrounding areas of Madrid we have seen that, now I think her and her team are opportunistic, cause she’s a nobody influencer who needs the fame that the Sainz carry.

Now about only one gossip page on Instagram getting that video (cause I saw it there first) is odd in itself cause you would have to really pay attention to what gossip page has the most followers and the most engagement and that takes time cause there is a fuck ton of gossip pages on Instagram about the drivers and teams. Also why did they supposedly wait weeks to post? I think they truly got paid or something to say that, cause the moment you get sent something interesting you are gonna post it if you have a gossip page right? Now another thing, Carlos’ family and team know about that gossip page on Instagram hell his parents used to or still do follow it, why would they take such a long time to share it? Obviously if you don’t know the page engagement you are gonna wait and see how popular they are so you are holding on to something that might interest them enough to post about it.

Now you see that’s the other thing, if it was truly a fan that recorded them or whatever why didn’t the fan stop Carlos and ask for a picture , it’s not like his gonna say no, he would have told whatever fan who asked for one yes.

So all in all here, yes it’s a very staged thing all of the Rebecca shit, in my opinion I just can’t see Carlos’ team doing all of this, her and her team I could see them trying to do it. But case is let’s say they dragged Carlos into this, he must be getting paid a good amount of money for it, cause you have to pay the party you are adding to your pr relationship. So like my question here is who started this relationship and who the hell is getting paid to be in it? Cause like if they approached him, obviously his gonna ask for the bucks to be in it cause I can’t imagine how tiring that shit.

Also side note; I find it really hard to believe Carlos would actually jump into another relationship a couple of months after ending his 7 year relationship with Isa. Paintbrush, PlasGlue, and Holy Clippers: Sparse Marns Part IV: Basecoats Part I

Heya! So my painting project's going well, but the steps are... So Much, and my time to paint each day is So Limited, and the photos Im taking are So Numerous, so I'm changing the terms of the deal and covering the painting in multiple posts instead of one OvO

Ok So: Here's an idea of how they all looked just before I started painting, via Stumbly and Done, with I think two days of the prime drying, and in Crispier, more artificial light than I've been shooting:

Brushes

These are two different packs, from two different brands, from the local Michaels, in a paintcup from Lowes. I think the orange ones were 5 bucks(Hodge-Podge I wanna say?) and the white ones were 8? I should have probably recorded prices at time of purchase -__-

Next: Some towels for wiping my brushes with and general cleanliness-Utility:

These are disposable microfiber cloths, again from Lowes. Im pretty sure paper towels would work just as well but I've found myself in the painting section often of late, was curious how these would do, and they were EXTREMELY cheap.

Then: some jars for cleaning my brushes.

I used two so that I would have a jar of absolutely CLEAN water for wetting my brush after I've washed it in the other one and dried it on the cloth. Im using exclusively water-based paints so it's just water in these jars; there's no reason to use a mask for the painting part of this project as no turpentine or other such solvents will come anywhere NEAR this project(except for Mr. Dissolved, of course, and we're passed that uwu uwu uwu)

Ok next I wanted to try using a wet palette, something I've never done before, and, while I COULD just go buy one, I figured I'd try making one instead as it seemed fairly easy to do(actl it seems easier that the official version? Looking around at Michaels the "Acrylic paper" they use for wet palettes requires soaking in BOILING WATER for like 15 MINUTES before use??? Maybe I found the wrong stuff tho). So, I went and got a rubbermaid box I wasn't using

(Pentel R.S.V.P. bk90 Fine for scale), Put a paper towel in it like so

Got it wet(just damp; not soaked), poured off(and wrung out) any excess, then cut a piece of waxpaper to shape and pressed it in

The idea here is that the paint will sit safe from slurp and dissolution on the waxpaper while water wicks up SLOOOOOWLYYYY through it from the paper towel, keeping it moist without diluting it. This generally worked well, tho it took me awhile to get used to it and to working with the paint, which I got anxious/paranoid over a few times.

And lastly, of course, because one should NEVER go ANYWHERE without at least 3-5 notebooks on their person, a memobook and pen

Obvsl I'd include these purely on Principle, but as a practical matter it's useful to have a method for recording how many Parts of Which Color go into any colors you might mix in the course of painting u_u u_u

OK: Now it's time to make some Motherfucking CHOICES >:3

Originally, my plan was to paint these as Ultramarines. They're a Pretty Basic Blue, Red, Gold(with some white accents; GEE I wonder where that color scheme comes from???) scheme, which are all really Solid, Vibrant, Reliable colors. This subfaction is also quite literally the Model Spess Marins and posterboys for the whole model line/faction, and so there are LOTS of painting tutorials and examples out there for them and also-also I could use the box art as a handy painting-reference :> :>

If I ever decide to play WH40k, I wouldnt want to do it with Gillman's Legionnaires(no offense to them; they're about the closest things to 'Good Guys' as Spess Marins[and WH40K humans generally outside the Adeptus Custodes/sisters of silence] GET), but rather with mine own Best Lad brainfruits: the Nova Paladins uvu uvu uvu

if I painted them as Ultramrines, I could never use them as part of that army(well I could, but only as an allied detachment, which would cause all sorts of complicated rules Shenanigans that I dont want to get into, unless I played the NPs under UM rules cuz, obvsl, you cant just PLAY your own madeup ruleset with other ppl--- It's Complicated Alright >:| >:|)

This is supposed to be a Fun and Learning experience and, as Dear Old Bob was so fond of saying, painting is about Doing What You Want; this is my own world with ALL the Happy Little Trees I WANT godsdammit so:

I decided to paint them as the Nova Paladins :3

But this Immediately presents a problem! The Nova Paladin paint scheme is (a skeletal, yellowish)white, yellow, and orange, and these are the three MOST finicky and difficult paints to paint with(allegedly u_u u_u and, spoilers, they SORT of are but theyre not THAT bad u_u u_u u_u) u_u My solution was simple: I LIKE difficult and finicky things and thus Do Not Care >:3 >:3

The Paints: and oh no! The initial pictures I took of these SUCKED so I just took some new ones with better, more LEGIBLE, lighting X| X| X|

These are my basecoats. I Know this looks intimidating but plz calm down!

The general concept for the Nova Paladins is a Bright, Warm, Friendly, almost EXPLODY(hence the name) "Heroic" color scheme: Knights in Shining Armor, vaporizing everyone they meet with the fury of 10000 Suns(ie: concentrated plasma rifles). The majority of each model(like 90% of them) is going to be the corax white there on the left: that's the "Primary" color which I planned to use for their armor. Then the imperial fist yellow would be my secondary color, for their pauldrons(the big shoulder bits), and for the sergeant's helmet. The Orange I planned to use as an accent color, tho at the time I hadn't really decided WHAT I'd be accenting with it. The mid-brown(bloodreaver flesh) I'd use for any leather details, such as their belts and pouches. The light beige there(Zandri dust) I'd use for any scroll or ribbon details. The red is a sort of secondary accent I planned to use exclusively for their grenades, and I held to that. Next to it, entirely illegible(X| X|), is Screamer Pink, which Im going to use for the seals/rosettes(which they are is a question whose answer properly lies only in the heart of each individual painter, and dont let anyone tell you different u_u) any ribbons will be attached to, and then the abaddon black I planned to use on the joint-bits showing through the armor, any tubing, and the Iron Sights on the guns, because Im Insane -__- I would MOSTLY follow this plan, but not entirely u_u u_u u_u

So, using This brush

I applied the white-layer, and here's Sarge to show how that looked

Pretty Spiffy! This was, I think, after the 2nd coat, and unfortunately a mouldline managed to survive through my ministrations on this one |:T It's not a HUGE deal; it disappeared as I built up layers.

I didn't find the white PHYSICALLY difficult to work with as others warned(it pretty much went where I wanted it too and didn't slink around), but it DID take me awhile to figure out the proper paint-water ratio with the brush, and I had a really hard time seeing it on the palette. Also, most painting vids will tell you to paint in "two thin coats" of each color, both to avoid globbing/unruly paint and to get a smoother, fuller finish without visible paintstrokes, but I ended up doing... A LOT of coats on these. Somewhere between 4 and 6 per model, and some sections maybe even more. Probably should have taken notes in my memopad during the painting for the sake of later accuracy :p :p That MIGHT have been the paint, it might have also been me using the wrong brush(I felt it worked fine, but it's a little short and bristly and its possible that's meant as a drybrush) but honestly it felt more like a combination of my learning how to properly work with the paint and my obsessive meticulousness. Building up progressive thin layers to a creamy full coat was... Satisfying OuO

Also, obvsl, I really struggled with workflow on this bit. My idea was to do All The Armor on one, then All The Armor on the next, etc etc, but I kept both circling back to sections I wasn't satisfied with AND forgetting sections I intended to paint with that approach which is BAD cuz you need to give the paint time to set; it was simply Too Broad a remit for my brain's Tendencies and I needed to pare it down. I would Form Resolves, considering this.

This step was my longest; my painting times have been deeply uneven day-to-day, but I'd say I easily spent 8 hours spread over 2.5 just on this. Again: I AM VERY DETAIL ORIENTED AND FINICKY: most ppl would NOT take this long on the primary base coat on their minis, even using white paint(which I'm pretty sure I was thinning down WAY too much at the start), and nor should they. But: I got the results I wanted, gained valuable experience with the paint and brush, and realized I needed to think harder about my workflow to get it Efficient. Also I think the black-grey-white tonal I used for the priming may have been too dark for such a bright scheme, but I'll get into that in my concluding/future projects post.

Once I was satisfied with the white coat, I turned to the yellow, and a different brush

This fellow. It's a longer brush, but the tip is finer and I thought that would help with the more detailed work. Generally I feel it worked well, tho there were moments where I or it slipped, and it painted where I didn't want it to. Not to worry! The base layer's just the start and touchup is always possible later. If, in your painting, you do get paint where you dont want you can either just paint over it once it dries with the color you like or, if you're fast enough and have a clean brush handy, try to swipe some of that paint off onto a brush, or even push some water into it to dilute it.

Immediately I recognized that Imperial Fist was too thin for what I wanted, especially with the prime I'd given it. tl;dr: Imperial Fist is a "Contrast Paint" and Contrast paints are a new line by GW meant to compete with "speedpaint" lines from other manufacturers which,building from a full-white prime, allow you to quickly paint up allot of figures. As thin paints(practically inks and nearly washes, imo) they settle into the recesses of the model giving you, as the name implies, good Contrasts and gradients across the model as a whole with just a few coats of a single color, and eliminating the need for lots of shading thereby. Imperial Fist just did not work with the prime I had. I thought this might be the case(despite some of the GW painting guides I'd found reccing it) so I bought a backup yellow which I now turned to:

Yriel yellow was much thicker, though "cooler" and not as red/orange/redgold a yellow as I really want for this scheme(IF absolutely has that sort of punch). I decided to give it a shot though, and it worked fine.

As I began to paint, I put my Resolves from the white layer into action. I would start painting section-by-section model-to-model (ie left shoulder on all of them, then right shoulder, then gun, etc etc). This approach worked allot better, for Me: it helped me to stay focused on One Thing and to move btwn the miniatures, letting each layer lay as it lie, knowing I could come back to "fix" any issues I had with it once dry, and preventing me from endlessly circling one model, trying to get everything Just So. Also: I began to move the minis from one side of the workspace to the other as I finished a layer, which helped me to keep track of which ones were done and which ones still needed work, and gave a satisfyingly tactile, concrete, and repetitive aspect to my progression. I feel like this approach would have sped up the white layer SIGNIFICANTLY.

It took about 3-4 coats until I was satisfied with the intensity of color on thier shoulders and the sergeant's helmet...

...and that was when I decided to do their guns in yellow too. GW aims for a bit of a 'Tacticool' aesthetic these days and as such the guns tend to be dark and metallic, but back when I first started following the hobby they were much more colorful and cartoony(with DANGER STRIPES, Even!), and I thought it'd be kind of a waste of that great yellow to just put it on the shoulders, and and I always preferred that more colorful approach anyway, so I painted the gun casings too :> :>

...and THEN I decided to paint their knees, also, in this yellow, cuz why not >:> >:> >:> Sometimes having one knee painted in the secondary color is used as a rank signifier for Spice Mariners, but I didn't care and different chapters do thing different all the time so It's Fine.

... and THEN-then, I decided the circle bits at the ankle of Primaris marine boots would look Neat in that yellow, too, so I painted THAT yellow also >:D >:D AND the matching interior circles >:D

Then, glutted with my POWA, I took some pics maniacally giggling ONLY SLIGHTLY:

Starting to come together >:> >:> I thought this looked really nice, but I still wanted that reddish PUNCH the Imperial Fist yellow had, and it occurred to me that, seeing as it looked like a wash and ACTED like a wash, I might as well try USING IT as a wash, so I did! And this is after that:

I think that IF contrast wash really gave the yellow bits a fuller, warmer, Snappier tone ^v^ ^v^ ^v^ Or at least I hope so: again, the pics are pretty blurry in the editor so idk how they look to y'all.

i bingewatched the entirety of hamefura in 3 days and playing the game now

it doesn't go with turnip drivers so i have to sacrifice all of the quality and smoothing just to not get stutters, with the system driver

which is something like <480p and i can't even use the smoothing that makes the text readable cause that chops 10 fps off immediately and yet the screen still flashes black every ten seconds

painful for the eyes to be honest the game doesn't have anything in it that's worth so much gpu power (ui sucks!!! the pause menu should cover me up and it doesnt!!! the shortcuts don't make any sense!!! how the hell am i supposed to play in class???)

playing geordo and well i never liked him, im on 5th or 6th chapter rn i think the recommended route order and my willingness to maxx the game out didn't go anywhere, i can't just skip him
