Masking and the fake Princy affect
I just like how little Stolas masks in front of Blitz, that the first time he realize that's an option Blitz's horrified. (Prince's should cry. That's an ugly noise).

Think this is why he's so taken in by Stolas' act of being the royal dickhead Prince, with an impish little plaything, in truth seekers.
And I think this one of the reasons this hits so hard for me.

Because Blitz is kinda demanded the social mask.
The one that Stolas puts on as a role, to deal with being around the rest of the Ars Goetia.
For Stolas this is the social script.

(Yer, I'm not unpicking Stolas privage in this one. More just about how the social camouflage he'd developed looks like low grade mimicry of Paimon).
It's one of the things I really love about mastermind; is that Blitz can see through the Princy act now.
And that's makes Stolas able to bring Blitz into his soliloquy, and join it. A little bubble of understanding.
Cus Blitz was falling for the act for a second there. They haven't spoken since the 'break up' after all.

Stolas is playing this exactly how the rest of the Goetias would, if Andy and Stella are any typical behaviour guides. (Which to Stolas they are).

But then even when Stolas going ham, acting the cartoonish (lol) Mastermind behind everything; he stops to do something really familiar.

Stolas just has to check Blitz is ok.

Then has to quickly play it off as something else.
Blitz's little confused wtf expression, as he tries to work out the big tonal shift from what he knows is affectionate. That now seems to be being used to put him and everyone like him down.

Really think this little check in made it easier for Blitz to not just sees behind the mask; but also be on the same emotional page to join in the soliloquy.

đ Basically I was happy about how free Stolas normally is with his emotions around Blitz and Via.
He even gets to stim in public, and mostly just gets to be his slightly cunty self. (Yay)
Without having to put on the larger than life act, with added mwahahaâą musical hall villain. Like he does for the Courtroom, or the Dhorks.
Just getting to be himself.

Also Stolas' cadence is most like it was as a kiddo; when he was asking Blitz to stay with him.

Like it's little Stolas is asking asking wee Blitz to stay. Which is really sweet.

But Blitz assumes it's a request to another game together...đą
This why I love their get a little timeless moment of full understanding for once.
Same as with their dance. We even get Stolas fully laughing, without trying to cover his mouth at all. đ
[Edit note for context: Yer ok, mostly this was prompted by conversations with fellow neurospicy lady I know in real life.
And her having to actively unlearn alot rich person roleplay, she did to survive her upbringing, now she's one of us plebs.
We're from completing the opposite ends of the wealth scales. (I might have had to explain that no-one who had ever had trust fund can be called middle class befoređ
)...
But yer, she had a very similar upbringing to Stolas, and now is thankful no contact.
Her social masking looks very different from mine.
Mostly she only now pulls it out to tell dickheads violating civil rights to spin on it. But it's scarily 'posh lady telling you how things are going to work' lol.
And well... you can see why I thought of Stolas right?]
#helluva boss#stolitz#blitz x stolas#Stolas being autistic#They both get misunderstood eachother alot and I love it when they get eachother

Inside The Episode: Fear No Mort | Rick and Morty | adult swim
youtube
Pretty much confirms that Rick and Diane's dynamic in this episode is canon, even outside of Morty's mind. I believe that she wouldn't have so easily dismissed him, her daughter, and the rest of the family in order to fall for Rick again, but that's obviously where Morty's fears warped what would have been a much longer natural progression. I'm sure they would've fallen again, but only after months of therapy and getting to know her family all grown up. I think Rick's progress would've picked up some speed in hopes of winning Diane back, but he would've definitely had to do more than unage himself and build a romantic little singing robot to bring her breakfast (despite how personally that would eternally melt my heart and proclaim my undying love đ).

It is I, person who asked about the bad car crash one. I have read the one you said! And while yes I think the car crash you described is bad I was wondering if you could do one that's... Worse-? Idk đ
if not I totally understand lmao.
No I think I get you, thanks for requesting and hope you like it!
cw: car accident, concussion, mention of blood, I already know this is not very accurate, but I did not have it in me to do all the research when I wrote this. Sorry and hope it doesnât hinder your reading experience </3

Your own breaths are the loudest sound, which canât be right. Surely there should be alarms, or screaming, or something. Up until a second ago, the screeching of tires and metal was loud enough to deafen you.Â
Your car door squeaks brokenly, a sad echo of the racket from before. The air around you shifts as it comes open, and a moment later there are cold fingers pressing into your jaw.Â
You make a low whining sound. âHey,â you complain. Your lips move oddly, murmuring where you mean to speak.Â
âHi,â a voice behind you replies smoothly. âIâm Sirius, Iâm with NHS. Is your neck or back hurting at all, gorgeous?âÂ
âNo. Youâre cold.âÂ
âLovely. This is my friend Remus, heâs going to push on your hands.âÂ
A head appears in front of you, upside down and shooting an exasperated look towards the disembodied voice. You donât understand how these people are moving around so quickly, without you noticing them coming.Â
âHello.â The other manâsâRemusââgaze softens as he meets your eyes. âCan you tell me if you feel this?â He prods at your hand.Â
âYeah,â you breathe. Your heart is starting to move in your chest, thudding against your ribs like it wants to hurt you.Â
âAlright. Can you try pushing up on my hands, please?â
You do. He nods approvingly, giving you a little smile.Â
âGood girl. Weâre good, Sirius.âÂ
The cold hands release your face, and you breathe a sigh of relief. It makes your chest ache dully.Â
âBeautiful. We ready to move?âÂ
âYup.â Thatâs a third voice, distinct from the others and somewhere you canât see it. âWeâre all set.âÂ
âLet me justââ Remusâ hands come up around your waist and back, his grip firm, near to bruising. âOkay, Iâve got her. Weâre going to unbuckle you and lift you out, okay? Just stay nice and still for us.âÂ
Youâre confused as to what he means, but apparently your silence is consent enough. You feel the buckle of your seatbelt click, and then youâre falling up, Remusâ hold tightening further as he stops your ascent to lift you sideways.Â
Itâs not until youâre out of the car that you realize you were upside down. Your head feels better, though not by much, and the sun glares at you like itâs punishing you for a wrong you donât remember having committed. Your arm, suddenly and to your horrified surprise, is in agony.Â
A pitchy scraping sound tears from your throat, what would have been a scream if you had the air for one.Â
âHere we go, justâyeahââ the third voice speaks as something comes up under your back. âThere we are. Itâs okay, sweetheart. Youâre alright.â
âWeâll get you on pain meds in just a second, doll,â Sirius promises. Someone adjusts your legs so theyâre both on the cot, careful of your searing arm, and then youâre moving, the sky shifting above you until youâre looking up at a gray ceiling instead. Time is an odd, fluid thing, marked only by actions and various pains.Â
âWhen did you get here?â you mutter, to no one in particular.Â
The third voice is the one to answer you. Itâs accompanied by a thick pair of glasses and a sweet face, eyes flickering between you and some equipment heâs messing with. âJust a few minutes ago.âÂ
âI donâtâŠI didnât hear the sirens.âÂ
He smiles like youâre funny. âYeah, I think you mightâve been unconscious for that part.âÂ
You wrack your brain. You donât remember falling asleep. Only the screeching on the road and then being in your car. Then again, you feel half as though you could be dreaming right now.Â
Something sharp bites into your hand. You whimper, the pain small but only adding to every other hurt thatâs already far over your threshold.Â
âI know,â Sirius shushes you, sticking something to your hand. âI know, babe, but this is going to help soon. Youâll see.âÂ
âSo far Iâve got a concussion, open fracture of the wrist, several lacerations to the face and chest, and bruising around the knees.â Remusâ voice is an odd combination of soft and businesslike. You have a creeping sensation heâs talking about you. âAm I missing anything?âÂ
âPossible bruising around the chest,â Sirius says. âShe was breathing funny earlier.âÂ
âRight. Hey, love,â Remus voice gentles as he addresses you, âIâm going to move your shirt down to see if your chest is hurt, alright? Iâll be careful, it wonât take long.âÂ
âOkay,â you manage weakly.Â
âThank you.â He uses both hands to stretch the collar of your shirt, tutting quietly to himself at whatever he sees. He lifts a stethoscope from around his neck, rubbing the metal on his hand for a moment before setting it to your chest.Â
You donât know what heâs listening for, but youâre distracted when the third paramedicâthe one with the glassesâstarts running what feels like a wet wipe over your forehead.Â
âJust cleaning you up a bit,â he says brightly. âFigure we ought to have you looking your best for whoever ends up stitching you up, yeah?âÂ
âJames.â Siriusâ tone is somewhere between chiding and joking and fond, an entanglement of meanings you quite canât wrap your pounding head around. âDonât talk like sheâs not already stunning. You can hardly improve upon perfection.âÂ
âToo true,â the other boy agrees readily.Â
âTake a breath in for me, please,â says Remus, seemingly ignoring the other two and seemingly also used to doing so. âJust as deep as you can.âÂ
You try. You do your best, and as your lungs expand the dull ache worsens and worsens until a sharp pain pierces your middle. The air whooshes out of you in a dry sob.Â
The stethoscope leaves your skin, and Remus fixes your shirt collar, putting it back in place. Your chest radiates a terrible, throbbing hurt.Â
âItâs okay,â James says. His finger brushes your cheek, swiping at wetness you didnât realize was there. âOh, honey, itâs okay.âÂ
âAt least a couple of broken ribs,â you hear Remus mutter to the others. Somehow, impossibly, it makes the pain worsen.Â
âWhatâs happening?â you choke out.Â
âYouâre in an ambulance,â James tells you kindly. âYou were in a car accident, and I know youâre in a lot of pain right now, but weâre here to take care of you. Weâre going to make sure youâre okay, and then get you to the hospital so they can finish fixing you up. Youâll be alright.âÂ
The explanation takes you a while to process, but even then your tears donât seem to want to slow. Your chest pangs with each hitch in your breathing. Eventually Sirius starts talking you through taking slower breaths, trying to calm you down.Â
Someone wipes at your face with a small square. It stings, and it comes away light red with your blood and tears.Â
âI know itâs scary,â Remus murmurs, âbut youâve already done so, so well. We only have to splint your arm so it doesnât move and clean some of your bigger cuts, and then we can go to the hospital. Can you let us do that, please? Will you be okay?âÂ
You take in a ragged breath. âYeah,â you reply.Â
âThere we are.â James takes your head between his hands. Something about his grip reassures you. He touches his lips to your forehead, like itâs natural, like itâs nothing. âYouâve got this, sweetheart. Just need you to be brave for us a little while longer.â

Youâve been friends with Seungcheol for as long as you can remember. Heâs the dependable guy, the one who shows up at your door with takeout when youâre upset, drives you to late-night emergencies, and threatens to "have a word" with anyone who so much as looks at you the wrong way. Heâs also the same guy who will call you at 2 AM to complain about Jeonghan stealing his food or Seungkwan roasting his playlist choices.
Itâs all very platonic.
At least, thatâs what you keep telling yourself.
But hereâs the thingâplatonic friends donât always behave the way Seungcheol does with you.
Like how he always walks closest to the road when youâre together. You thought he did that for everyone until Jeonghan once teased him about being your personal bodyguard. âWhat, Iâm just making sure sheâs safe,â heâd grumbled, cheeks faintly red. Youâd laughed it off, but now every time he switches sides to keep you away from traffic, your brain unhelpfully replays Jeonghanâs teasing.
Then thereâs his car. His precious car. The one youâve seen him ban people from for spilling a drink or even breathing too close to the upholstery. Yet, somehow, youâre the only one allowed to eat fries in it without getting scolded. âBecause youâre neat,â heâd explained once, though you distinctly remember dropping ketchup on the seat that one time. He cleaned it up himself and still handed you another fry.
And donât even get started on the hand thing. He always has a hand on your backâguiding you through crowds, steadying you when you wobble on uneven ground, or just casually resting it there when youâre walking side by side.
Itâs warm, reassuring, and totally not something friends think about when theyâre lying in bed at night.
You tried asking him about it once. âYouâre very handsy, you know.â
âWould you rather I let you trip and fall?â heâd retorted with a smirk.
âNot what I meant, but okay.â
The problem is, Seungcheol seems completely unaffected by all this. He treats you like youâre just another one of his friends, albeit one heâs particularly protective of. Youâve heard him swear up and down to Jeonghan and Seungkwan that youâre just his friend. Jeonghan, of course, doesnât believe him.
âRight, because you hold all your âfriendsâ like theyâre a national treasure,â Jeonghan had said, earning himself a withering glare.
âShut up, Jeonghan,â Seungcheol had snapped, but his ears were noticeably pink.
Then there was Seungkwan, who once asked, âWhy donât you just marry her already? Save us all the suspense.â
âWeâre friends,â Seungcheol had groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
Itâs honestly infuriating. Not because you want him to admit something else (okay, maybe you do, but only a little), but because it leaves you constantly second-guessing everything.
Like when he shows up to your apartment with soup because you mentioned a scratchy throat, or when he lingers outside your building after dropping you off just to make sure youâre inside safely.
Orâyour personal favoriteâwhen he softens. That big, tough guy act he puts on with everyone else melts the second he looks at you.
His voice gets gentler, his eyes crinkle when he smiles, and heâs suddenly the kind of guy who brushes hair out of your face without a second thought.
Itâs maddening.
And apparently, youâre not the only one who thinks so.
âI donât get it,â Jeonghan says one day, while youâre all sitting at a cafĂ©. âWhy are you two still dancing around each other? Just confess already.â
You nearly choke on your drink. âWhat?! Thereâs nothing to confess!â
âExactly,â Seungcheol agrees, but his jaw tightens ever so slightly
Jeonghan raises an eyebrow. âSure. And Iâm the president.â
âJeonghan, drop it,â Seungcheol warns.
âFine, fine.â Jeonghan smirks but doesnât look convinced.
By the time youâre walking home together later, the conversation keeps replaying in your head. Seungcheol is quiet beside you, his hands shoved into his pockets.
âYouâre awfully quiet,â you say, bumping your shoulder against his.
He glances at you, his expression unreadable. âJust thinking.â
âAbout what?â
â...Nothing important.â
You donât push, but as his hand finds its familiar place on your back when you cross the street, you canât help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, Jeonghan was onto something.
You knew it was going to be a long day when your boss handed you that stack of papers at 4 PM. By the time you finally wrapped up, the office was practically empty, the night sky spilling across the windows.
A quick glance at your phone confirmed what you already dreadedâyouâd missed the last bus. Groaning, you stuffed your things into your bag, resigning yourself to the long walk home.
It wasnât that bad. Just⊠cold, dark, and slightly creepy. Youâd be fine.
Totally fine.
But when you pushed through the lobby doors and stepped outside, you stopped dead in your tracks.
There he was.
Choi Seungcheol, leaning casually against his car, arms crossed over his chest like heâd been waiting all night. His head tilted up as soon as he heard the door open, and when he saw you, that familiar, infuriatingly soft smile spread across his face.
âFinally,â he said, pushing off the car. âI thought you were going to sleep in there.â
Your mouth opened and closed a few times before you managed, âWhat⊠what are you doing here?â
âPicking you up,â he said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world
âI didnât ask you to.â
He shrugged. âDidnât need to.â
You frowned, confused. âHow did you even know I was still here?â
âYour light was on when I drove by earlier.â
âYou drove by?â
He had the audacity to look sheepish. âI figured youâd miss the bus. And I didnât want you walking home alone.â
Your heart did an annoying little flip. âI can take care of myself, you know.â
âSure you can,â he said, completely unfazed. âBut humor me, okay? Get in the car.â
You hesitated for a moment, debating whether to argue, but the cold wind nipping at your cheeks made the decision for you. âFine,â you muttered, walking past him to the passenger door.
âGood choice,â he said, smirking as he opened the door for you.
The car was warm, smelling faintly of his cologne, and as you settled into the seat, you couldnât help but notice the little thingsâhow heâd adjusted the seat warmer on your side or how there was a blanket folded neatly in the backseat.
He climbed in and started the engine, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. âHungry?â
You blinked. âWhat?â
âYou barely eat when youâre working late,â he said. âWe can grab something on the way home.â
You stared at him, baffled. âDo you do this for all your friends?â
He smirked, pulling out of the parking lot. âDo what?â
âShow up unannounced, wait in the cold, and then offer to feed them.â
âOnly the ones who miss the last bus.â
Your lips twitched despite yourself. âSo just me, then?â
âJust you,â he admitted, glancing at you again with a small smile.
The ride home was quiet, the hum of the engine and the city lights passing by making everything feel oddly intimate. When he finally pulled up in front of your building, you turned to him, suddenly unsure of what to say.
âThanks for⊠this,â you said awkwardly, gesturing vaguely.
âAnytime,â he said easily.
As you reached for the door handle, he stopped you. âHey.â
You turned back, and his expression had softened, the playful smirk replaced with something quieter, more sincere.
âText me next time, okay? So I donât have to guess.â
Your chest tightened, and you nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat. âOkay.â
You stepped out of the car, his eyes on you the entire time, and as you walked to your building, you couldnât help but smile.
He wasnât just a friend. Not to you, anyway. And maybe, just maybe, you werenât just a friend to him either.
It was supposed to be a quiet night for Seungcheol. Heâd gone out with some friends, had a couple of drinks, and was planning to head home early. But somehow, he ended up back at Jeonghanâs place with Seungkwan sitting cross-legged on the couch, both of them looking far too smug for his liking.
They were up to something. They were always up to something.
âSo,â Jeonghan started, drawing out the word like he had all the time in the world, âguess whoâs out on a date right now?â
Seungcheol barely glanced up from his phone. âI donât know. Who?â
âYou,â Seungkwan deadpanned, then snorted. âKidding. Itâs her.â
Seungcheolâs fingers froze mid-scroll. âWhat?â
âYou know who,â Jeonghan said, raising an eyebrow.
âSheâs on a date,â Seungkwan added, like he was explaining something to a toddler.
Seungcheolâs brain short-circuited for a second. âWait. What?â
âWhy are you so shocked?â Jeonghan leaned back, looking like the cat that got the cream. âSheâs a grown woman. She deserves to have a little fun.â
âSheâsâsheâs on a date?â Seungcheol repeated, his voice louder this time
âYes, and heâs so handsome,â Seungkwan said dramatically, clasping his hands together like he was narrating a fairytale. âTall, charming, great hairââ
âWait a minute. You set her up?â Seungcheol cut in, his voice sharp
âOf course,â Jeonghan said breezily. âYou werenât making a move, so we figured someone else should.â
âIâm notââ Seungcheol started, then stopped, his jaw clenching. âShe doesnât need you meddling in her life.â
âShe seemed fine with it,â Jeonghan said, grinning. âActually, she looked pretty excited.â
That sentence hit Seungcheol like a punch to the gut. You? Excited to go on a date with some random guy? The thought made his chest tighten in a way he didnât want to think about.
âI donât get why you care so much,â Seungkwan said, narrowing his eyes. âI mean, sheâs just your friend, right?â
Seungcheolâs head snapped toward him, but he didnât say anything, his jaw working furiously as he tried to come up with a response.
âRight?â Seungkwan pressed, leaning forward.
Jeonghan smirked. âYou do seem awfully worked up for someone whoâs âjust a friend.ââ
Seungcheol shot him a glare that couldâve melted steel. âShe is my friend.â
âHmm,â Jeonghan hummed, unconvinced. âThen why do you look like youâre about to track down this guy and challenge him to a duel?â
âIâm notââ Seungcheol groaned, dragging a hand down his face. âIâm just⊠concerned.â
âAbout what?â Seungkwan asked innocently.
âAbout her,â Seungcheol snapped. âWhat if heâs some creep? What if he says something to upset her? What ifââ
âOh my God,â Jeonghan interrupted, laughing. âYouâre jealous.â
âIâm not jealous,â Seungcheol said through gritted teeth.
âThen why are you gripping the couch like it insulted your ancestors?â Seungkwan asked, gesturing to Seungcheolâs white-knuckled hands.
âIâm just protective,â he argued weakly.
âRight. Protective,â Jeonghan said, rolling his eyes. âBecause that totally explains the vein popping out of your forehead right now.â
Seungcheol groaned again, sinking back into the couch. He hated how transparent he was, especially to these two.
âLook,â Jeonghan said, leaning forward, his tone suddenly serious. âIf you donât want her going on dates with other guys, then maybe you should finally admit how you feel.â
âI donâtââ
âDonât even try it,â Seungkwan cut in, holding up a hand. âWe all know. Sheâs the only person you drop everything for. The only one you talk to with that stupid soft voice. You treat her like sheâs your entire world, but youâre too stubborn to say it.â
Seungcheol opened his mouth to argue, but no words came out. Because they were right. They were absolutely, infuriatingly right.
âOkay, fine,â he muttered, running a hand through his hair. âMaybe I feel something. But what if she doesnât feel the same?â
Jeonghan snorted. âAre you kidding me? Sheâs just as bad as you. She talks about you all the time, and donât even get me started on the way she looks at you. Youâre both idiots.â
Seungkwan nodded solemnly. âBig, dumb idiots.â
Seungcheol stared at them, his mind racing. Maybe it was time to stop being an idiot.
âWhereâs this date happening?â he asked suddenly.
Jeonghan and Seungkwan exchanged a glance, their smirks returning.
âWhy?â Jeonghan asked, feigning innocence.
Seungcheol stood, grabbing his jacket. âBecause Iâm about to fix this.â
âFinally,â Seungkwan muttered, shaking his head.
Jeonghan grinned. âGo get her, tiger.â
And with that, Seungcheol stormed out, determined to set things rightâeven if it meant crashing your date.
Meanwhile you were having a perfectly peaceful evening. The kind where the air was crisp, the stars were starting to peek out, and the banana milk youâd picked up from the convenience store was hitting just right. Strolling through your neighborhood, you took another long sip, savoring the sweetness.
And then, like something out of a drama, Seungcheolâs sleek black car zipped past you.
You blinked, nearly choking on your drink.
Was thatâŠ? No, it couldnât be. But then the brake lights lit up, and the car slowed before making a sharp U-turn.
You stopped walking, half-expecting someone else to step out of the car. But, of course, it was Seungcheol.
He parked haphazardly by the curb and got out, looking a little disheveled, which was unusual for him. His jacket was slightly askew, and his hair looked like heâd run his hands through it one too many times.
âHey,â he said, jogging up to you, his voice slightly breathless.
âUh, hi?â you said, thoroughly confused. âWhat are you doing here?â
âI could ask you the same thing,â he countered, crossing his arms but not quite meeting your eyes.
âIâm just walking,â you replied, holding up your banana milk as if to prove your innocence. âWhat about you?â
He hesitated for a second too long. âI was⊠driving.â
You raised an eyebrow. âDriving? Around here?â
âYeah,â he said quickly, rubbing the back of his neck. âI was⊠in the area.â
âIn the area?â you repeated, unconvinced.
âYes,â he said firmly, but his eyes flickered to the drink in your hand, betraying his nerves.
You decided not to press him. Seungcheol acting weird wasnât exactly new, but something about him tonight seemed different. Like he was on edge. His jaw was tight, his shoulders tense, and he kept shifting from foot to foot like he didnât know what to do with himself.
âYou okay?â you asked softly, tilting your head.
He froze, then sighed, his shoulders relaxing just a fraction. âYeah, Iâm fine.â
âYou donât look fine.â
âIâm just⊠stressed,â he admitted reluctantly.
âWork?â you guessed.
âSomething like that,â he muttered, avoiding your gaze.
You frowned, feeling a pang of concern. Without thinking, you held out your banana milk to him, your fingers curling around the straw as you offered it up. âHere. This always makes me feel better.â
He blinked at you, caught completely off guard. âWhat?â
âDrink it,â you said, blinking up at him innocently. âItâll help.â
He stared at you for a moment, his expression softening in that way that always made your heart skip a beat. âYouâre sharing your banana milk with me?â
âDonât make it weird,â you mumbled, cheeks warming.
A small smile tugged at his lips as he took the drink from you, his fingers brushing yours. He took a hesitant sip, his eyes never leaving yours, and for a moment, the world felt strangely quiet.
âNot bad,â he said, handing it back to you.
âSee? Instant stress relief,â you said lightly, though your chest felt tight for reasons you didnât want to examine too closely.
He didnât respond right away, his gaze lingering on you in a way that made you feel uncharacteristically shy. Finally, he reached out, ruffling your hair like he used to do when you were younger. âYouâre too good to me, you know that?â
You laughed softly, brushing his hand away. âSomeoneâs gotta take care of you.â
His smile faltered just slightly, something unspoken passing between you before he cleared his throat and stepped back. âIâll drive you home.â
âItâs just a short walkââ
âLet me drive you,â he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
You didnât fight him on it. You werenât sure why, but Seungcheolâs strange mood tugged at something deep inside you.
As you climbed into his car and he pulled onto the road, you couldnât shake the feeling that there was more to his stress than he was letting on. And from the way his grip on the steering wheel tightened every time he glanced at you, you had a feeling he was thinking the exact same thing.
A few days later since that night. You're still wondering why Seungcheol was acting weird but you brush it off, thinking maybe he's just stressed because of work.
Now you're somewhere unfamiliar.
You sighed in frustration, staring at the unfamiliar street signs around you.
You were definitely lost.
The errand you thought would take twenty minutes had somehow turned into an hour-long disaster. To make matters worse, your phone signal had cut out just when youâd tried to pull up directions.
After wandering aimlessly for what felt like forever, your phone finally regained some service, and you immediately dialed Jeonghanâs number. He was your go-to for emergencies like thisâalways on his phone and annoyingly calm in situations where you were about ready to cry.
âHello?â Jeonghanâs familiar voice answered on the first ring
âJeonghan!â you practically wailed. âIâm lost.â
âLost?â he echoed, sounding more amused than concerned. âWhere are you?â
âI donât know,â you groaned, scanning the street for anything remotely familiar. âI think I took a wrong turn somewhere, and then my phone lost signal, and now I have no idea where I am.â
âOkay, okay,â he said, clearly suppressing a laugh. âRelax. Describe your surroundings.â
You rattled off a description of the nearby buildings and street signs, and Jeonghan hummed thoughtfully. âAlright, I think I know where you are. Just stay put, and Iâll send someone to get you.â
âWaitâsomeone? Who?â
But before he could answer, the line disconnected.
Fifteen minutes later, as you sat on a bench scrolling through your now-working phone, your screen lit up with an incoming call from Seungcheol.
You hesitated for a second before answering. âHello?â
âWhat the hell?â was the first thing out of his mouth, his voice a mix of irritation and concern.
âWhat?â you asked, confused
âWhy didnât you call me?â he demanded
You blinked. âWhat are you talking about?â
âYouâre lost, right? Why didnât you call me?â
âIââ You paused, feeling slightly guilty. âI figured youâd be busy with work. I didnât want to bother you.â
âBother me?â he repeated incredulously. âYou think calling me when youâre lost is a bother?â
âI mean⊠kind of?â you said hesitantly. âYouâre always so busy, and I didnât want to distract you.â
There was a brief pause, and when he spoke again, his tone was softer, almost hurt. âYouâre never a bother, you know that, right?â
You swallowed, suddenly feeling small. âI didnât want to interrupt anything important.â
âYouâre important,â he shot back without missing a beat.
Your heart did a funny little flip at his words, but you tried to shake it off. âJeonghan said heâd send someone to get me,â you mumbled.
âYeah, and that someone is me,â Seungcheol said, his voice firm. âIâm on my way.â
âOh,â was all you managed to say.
âStay where you are. Iâll be there in ten minutes,â he said, and then the line went dead.
True to his word, Seungcheolâs car pulled up exactly ten minutes later. He got out and strode toward you, his expression a mixture of exasperation and relief.
âYou okay?â he asked, his eyes scanning you for any signs of distress.
âYeah, Iâm fine,â you said sheepishly. âSorry for making you come all the way out here.â
âDonât apologize,â he said firmly. âJust⊠next time, call me first, okay? No matter what. I donât care how busy I am.â
You nodded, feeling warmth spread through your chest at his words. âOkay. I will.â
He sighed, running a hand through his hair before reaching out to flick your forehead gently. âIdiot,â he muttered, but there was no heat in his voice. âYou scared me.â
You smiled up at him, clutching your phone tightly. âThanks for coming to get me.â
He shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. âAlways.â
And with that, he opened the car door for you, muttering something about making sure you had a proper map app installed while you slid into the passenger seat, feeling safer than youâd felt all day.
The car was quiet save for the low hum of the engine as Seungcheol drove. You sat in the passenger seat, sneaking glances at him every now and then. His brows were slightly furrowed, his lips pressed into a thin line. You could tell he was still annoyedâthough more at himself than at youâbut the silence was starting to get to you.
âAre you really mad?â you asked softly, your voice barely above a whisper
He didnât answer right away, keeping his eyes fixed on the road. You shifted in your seat, feeling a small pang of guilt.
âCheol?â you tried again, a little louder this time
Finally, he glanced at you, just for a second, and thatâs when he saw itâthe faint pout on your lips, your eyes wide and filled with worry.
Whatever lingering annoyance he felt melted away instantly.
How could he ever stay mad at you?
He tightened his grip on the steering wheel, swallowing the sudden lump in his throat.
In that fleeting moment, something clicked. Heâd always known he cared about you, but this was different.
This was deeper.
The way his chest ached at the thought of you being lost, the way he couldnât focus on anything else until he knew you were safeâit all made sense now.
He was in deep. Really, truly in deep.
But he kept that realization buried, locking it away for now. Because what if you didnât feel the same? What if he ruined what you already had?
So instead of saying what was really on his mind, he shook his head and let out a small sigh. âNo, Iâm not mad,â he said softly, his voice losing all the sharpness from earlier.
âReally?â you asked, your pout disappearing as a hopeful smile crept onto your face.
He glanced at you again, his lips twitching into a faint smile. âReally. Just⊠call me next time, okay? No matter what.â
âOkay,â you said quickly, nodding.
âGood,â he said, turning his attention back to the road. But the corner of his mouth quirked up, betraying his amusement at how eager you were to ease his worries.
And as you settled back into your seat, sipping the banana milk youâd insisted on bringing with you, Seungcheol kept driving, silently grappling with the fact that you had him wrapped around your fingerâand you didnât even know it.
Itâs not something you consciously think about, but Seungcheol is the first person you instinctively search for in every situation.
Whether itâs at a gathering, in a crowded room, or even during simple moments like deciding where to sit, your eyes always find him first. And itâs always easy to spot himâbecause, without fail, he leaves a space open beside him, like heâs silently saving it just for you.
He never says anything about it, but youâve come to notice how itâs always you in the passenger seat of his car, you who gets the last fry from his plate, and you who he lets get away with things no one else can.
One day, after an especially long week at work, you found yourself riding home with him again. The car was quiet, save for the soft hum of the radio, and you couldnât help but let your mind wander.
âCheol,â you said, breaking the silence.
âHmm?â he responded, glancing at you briefly before returning his attention to the road.
âDo you thinkâŠâ You hesitated, biting your lip. âDo you think Iâm taking advantage of you being such a good friend?â
He frowned slightly, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. âWhat?â
âI meanâŠâ You trailed off, unsure how to explain yourself. âYou do so much for me. I feel like Iâm always leaning on you, and maybeââ
âStop,â he interrupted, pulling the car to a gentle stop at a red light. He turned to look at you, his expression soft but serious. âYouâre not taking advantage of me.â
You opened your mouth to protest, but he reached over, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear in that way that always made your breath catch.
âI wouldnât do any of it if I didnât want to,â he said firmly, his voice low and steady. Then, with a small smile, he added, âTake advantage of me all you want.â
You blinked at him, startled by the sincerity in his tone. For a moment, it felt like the world outside the car had faded away, leaving only the two of you in your little bubble.
There was something in the way he said it, something in his gaze that made your chest tighten. Like he wasnât just saying you could rely on him, but something deeperâsomething more.
But you didnât push it, didnât ask him to elaborate.
Instead, you smiled softly, feeling your cheeks warm. âThanks, Cheol.â
He nodded, turning back to the road as the light turned green, but his fingers tapped lightly against the steering wheel, as if he was trying to shake off whatever had just passed between you.
And though neither of you said it out loud, his words lingered in the air between you, unspoken but clear.
Take advantage of me all you want.
It sounded an awful lot like he was saying, Iâm yours.
The music was loud, the kind that vibrated through your chest and made regular conversation impossible.
You were at yet another one of Seungkwanâs chaotic gatherings, where everyone was laughing, shouting, and dancing all at once. You were trying to tell Seungcheol something, but no matter how loud you spoke, your voice barely reached him over the noise.
Finally, with a little huff of frustration, you stepped closer to him. So close that you had to tilt your head up to meet his gaze. He raised an eyebrow at you, amused but curious, as if to ask, Whatâs up?
Without thinking, you stood on your tiptoes, your hand lightly gripping his arm for balance. Leaning in, you brought your lips close to his ear and whispered the words youâd been trying to say.
His reaction was immediate. You felt his hands gently rest on your waist, steadying you like it was second nature. His touch was warm, firm, and grounding in the chaos of the room.
âWhat?â he asked, turning his head slightly so his lips were near your ear now, his voice low enough that it sent a shiver down your spine.
You repeated yourself, barely able to focus with how close the two of you were. You could feel the heat radiating from him, smell the faint, familiar scent of his cologne.
When you pulled back just enough to look at him, you caught the small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Without breaking eye contact, he slid one of his hands down from your waist and took your hand in his.
Your breath hitched when his fingers laced with yours, his grip firm but gentle, like he wasnât planning to let go anytime soon. His thumb brushed lightly over your knuckles, and he gave your hand a little squeeze, as if to silently say, I hear you now.
The moment stretched between you, the noise of the room fading into the background as you stared up at him. His eyes were warm, his smile soft, and for a second, you felt like the two of you were the only ones in the room.
âBetter?â he asked, his voice just loud enough for you to hear.
You nodded, your cheeks warm as you managed a small smile. âBetter.â
He didnât let go of your hand for the rest of the night.
As the night wore on, you and Seungcheol gravitated toward each other like magnets. Even in the chaos of the party, you never strayed far, and he made no effort to hide how closely he kept you by his side.
At one point, you found yourself standing in front of him, tucked neatly into the protective circle of his arms. His broad frame loomed behind you, shielding your much smaller figure from the crowd. It was a natural thing, the way his arms rested lightly around your waist, his hands occasionally brushing against your sides.
You werenât sure when you had become so glued to each other, but you didnât mind. You felt safe there, cocooned in his warmth, the noise of the party fading into the background as you leaned into his steady presence.
Seungcheol leaned down slightly, his chin nearly brushing the top of your head as he murmured, âYou okay?â
You turned your head slightly to glance back at him, your eyes meeting his. âYeah, Iâm good.â
His lips quirked into a soft smile, and he gave your waist a gentle squeeze, as if to reassure himself. âLet me know if you need anything.â
âI think Iâm fine as long as I stay right here,â you replied without thinking, and you felt his chest rumble with quiet laughter behind you.
âYeah?â he teased, his voice low and warm. âYou planning to stick to me all night?â
You shrugged, your cheeks warming. âMaybe.â
His laugh softened, and you felt his arms tighten around you ever so slightly. âGood,â he said, his voice quieter this time, almost like he hadnât meant for you to hear it.
From the other side of the room, Seungkwan and Jeonghan stood together, sipping their drinks and watching the scene unfold like it was a live drama.
Jeonghan leaned casually against the wall, a smirk dancing on his lips as his eyes flicked between you and Seungcheol. âYou seeing this?â he murmured, just loud enough for Seungkwan to hear over the noise.
âOh, Iâm seeing it,â Seungkwan replied, trying his best to keep a straight face but failing miserably. His grin threatened to split his face in two as he watched Seungcheol pull you closer, his arms tightening protectively around you.
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. âShould weââ
âDonât even think about it,â Seungkwan interrupted, though he looked like he was barely holding himself back. âYou saw the look he gave us earlier. Heâll kill us if we say anything.â
Just then, Seungcheolâs eyes flicked toward them, sharp and warning. It was a look that screamed, Donât. You. Dare.
Jeonghan, of course, couldnât resist a bit of mischief. He raised his glass in a mock toast, tilting his head slightly as if to say, Oh, weâll see about that.
Seungcheolâs glare darkened, and he subtly mouthed, Donât.
Seungkwan elbowed Jeonghan, barely stifling his laughter. âYouâre gonna get us both killed.â
âOh, come on,â Jeonghan whispered back, smirking. âItâs too good not to say something. Look at them. Sheâs practically in his arms, and heâs acting like sheâs the only person in the room.â
âI know, but...â Seungkwan hesitated, glancing back at Seungcheol, who had now fully turned his body to shield you from the crowd. âHeâs terrifying when it comes to her.â
âExactly,â Jeonghan said, his smirk widening. âWhich makes this even more fun.â
Before either of them could act on their instincts, Seungcheol shot them another glareâthis one so intense that even Jeonghan momentarily reconsidered his life choices.
Seungkwan cleared his throat, straightening up. âYeah, nope. Not worth it. I like being alive.â
Jeonghan chuckled, but even he backed off, holding his hands up in mock surrender. âFine, fine. Weâll let him have his moment. For now.â
But as they watched you and Seungcheol disappear into the night, Jeonghan leaned over to Seungkwan with a glint in his eye. âWeâre never letting him live this down, though.â
âOh, absolutely not,â Seungkwan agreed, grinning. âWeâre just waiting for the right moment to strike.â
And with that, the two of them shared a conspiratorial laugh, already plotting how theyâd tease Seungcheol laterâif they lived to tell the tale.
The quiet of the car was a stark contrast to the laughter and energy of the night. It was just the two of you now, the hum of the engine and the soft rush of air outside the windows filling the space between your thoughts.
Seungcheolâs eyes were on the road, his focus steady, but there was something different in the air tonight. It felt like the perfect moment to finally ask the question that had been lingering on your mind.
"Cheol?" you said softly, breaking the comfortable silence.
"Mhm?" he replied, glancing at you briefly before returning his gaze to the road.
You hesitated for a moment, the weight of your thoughts making your chest tighten just a little. "We're not just friends, are we?" you asked, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
You had been wondering for a while now, but it felt like the right time to ask.
Seungcheol didnât immediately respond. The car continued on its path, the sound of the engine filling the space. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, but there was a quiet, almost amused undertone to it.
"Whatever you want me to be, I'll be that," he said simply, his eyes still on the road, but there was something in his tone that made your heart skip a beat.
You blinked, processing his words. "What does that mean?" you asked, voice quieter now, trying to decipher his meaning.
"It means," he began, "if you want me to be more than a friend, then thatâs what Iâll be. If you want me to be something else, Iâll be that too."
You felt your chest tighten, the air between you both thick with unspoken things.
The rest of the ride passed in comfortable silence, but you couldnât shake the feeling that things had shifted, that the line between just friends and something more was now more blurred than ever before.
"Thanks for the ride," you said softly, unable to hold back a small smile.
Seungcheol smiled back, his gaze lingering on you for just a moment longer. "Anytime,".
The boys had decided it was time for a beach dayâa full day of sun, sand, and chaos. Naturally, Seungcheol insisted you join, claiming it wouldnât be the same without you. So here you were, walking down the sandy shore with a tote bag slung over your shoulder while the boys argued over the best spot to set up.
Jeonghan, of course, found the shadiest area and claimed it before anyone could argue, while Seungkwan bickered about who had to blow up the inflatable. Meanwhile, Seungcheol carried your beach chair and umbrella, glancing over his shoulder to make sure you were keeping up.
When everything was set up, you kicked off your sandals and ran toward the water, the cool waves splashing against your feet. The boys stayed back for a while, caught up in their own antics, until Jeonghan called out to Seungcheol.
âHey, big guy! Youâre really just going to let her wander off alone?â
Seungcheol rolled his eyes but still got up, his protective instincts kicking in almost immediately. He strolled down the beach after you, arms crossed casually over his chest, his broad shoulders drawing attention from passersby.
You were completely oblivious, laughing as you dipped your toes into the waves. That is, until a couple of guys sidled up to you, grinning and trying to make small talk.
âHey, you here alone?â one of them asked, his tone far too confident for his own good.
âNo,â you replied politely but firmly, already taking a step back.
âCome on, just a little chatââ
âIs there a problem here?â
That voice. Low, firm, and unmistakably Seungcheolâs.
The guys froze, their smiles faltering as they turned to see him standing there. His towering frame, sharp jawline, and intense gaze were enough to make them instantly reconsider their life choices.
âN-no, man, we were justââ
âLeaving,â Seungcheol finished for them, his tone leaving no room for argument.
They didnât need to be told twice, muttering apologies as they shuffled away.
You turned to Seungcheol, your eyebrows raised. âThat wasnât necessary. I couldâve handled it.â
âI know you couldâve,â he said, his tone softening as he looked at you. âBut why should you have to?â
You rolled your eyes, though you couldnât hide the small smile tugging at your lips. âMy knight in shining board shorts.â
Seungcheol chuckled, nudging your shoulder gently. âSomeoneâs gotta keep you out of trouble.â
The two of you made your way back to the group, where Jeonghan and Seungkwan were snickering.
âCheol scared off some beach bros, didnât he?â Jeonghan guessed, smirking.
âDidnât even have to try,â Seungkwan added. âHe just exists, and they run for their lives.â
Seungcheol ignored them, guiding you to your chair and handing you a bottle of water. âDrink up,â he said, his hand brushing against yours briefly.
You didnât miss the way his touch lingered or the way his gaze softened when he looked at you. And while the boys continued to tease him relentlessly, he just sat back with a satisfied smirk, his protective streak in full swing.
By the end of the day, no one even thought about approaching you againânot when Seungcheol made it very clear, without saying a word, that you werenât alone.
The sun was beginning its slow descent, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The beach was quieter now, the once-loud waves now lapping gently at the shore. Seungcheol crouched down in front of you, his back turned as he gestured for you to hop on.
âCome on, before the sun sets,â he said, glancing over his shoulder with a small grin.
âWhy do I have to be the one on your back?â you teased, but you didnât hesitate to climb on, your arms wrapping around his shoulders as his hands secured your legs.
âBecause Iâd crush you if it were the other way around,â he shot back, standing effortlessly with you in tow.
He started walking along the shoreline, the sand soft beneath his feet. You leaned your cheek against his, your fingers lightly tapping against his chest as you spoke.
âDid you know that sea otters hold hands while they sleep so they donât drift apart?â
âYeah?â
âMhm. Itâs called a raft. Isnât that cute?â
âAlmost as cute as you randomly spitting out facts,â he said with a chuckle, glancing sideways at you.
You ignored him, continuing your stream of trivia. âOh! And dolphins have names for each other. Like, they have a specific whistle for every dolphin in their pod.â
âDo they have a whistle for their favorite dolphin?â he asked, his voice teasing.
âObviously,â you said, squishing your cheek harder against his. âIf I were a dolphin, youâd have a whistle just for me.â
âI already do,â he murmured, his words so soft that you almost didnât catch them over the sound of the waves.
You paused for a moment, the warm breeze brushing past the two of you. Then, out of nowhere, you whispered, âI love you.â
Seungcheol froze mid-step, his breath hitching just enough for you to notice. Slowly, he turned his head to look at you, his cheek brushing against yours.
âI was hoping Iâd say it first,â he said with a soft laugh, his dimples deepening as he smiled at you.
Your heart swelled at the sight, and you couldnât help but grin back. âGuess youâre too slow, Cheol.â
âGuess so,â he replied, his voice warm and steady. Then, without putting you down, he turned to face the sunset.
âSay it again,â he said after a moment, his tone teasing but with a hint of something deeper beneath it.
âI love you,â you said, softer this time, your lips brushing against his ear as you spoke.
He let out a content sigh, his hands tightening slightly on your legs as if grounding himself in the moment.
âI love you too,â he finally said, his voice carrying all the tenderness heâd been holding back for so long.
And as the sun dipped below the horizon, you stayed there, clinging to each other, both knowing you had everything you could ever need right in that moment.

It's been days. Or weeks? You didnât even know anymore. The calendar on your phone kept reminding you, but you stopped counting. Maybe if you ignored the world long enough, itâll forget you existed. Maybe if you stayed in this apartment, you could disappear into these four walls like you were never here in the first place.
Numbers. You used to count them, obsess over them, keep track of every passing hour. But now, time feels... irrelevant. Whatâs the point of knowing how long youâve been sinking when no oneâs coming to pull you out?
The silence feels... safe. No one to judge you. No one to see the mess youâve become. Itâs funny, thoughâpeople always see what they want to see. The headlines called you a goddess, an untouchable force of beauty and success. But what would they say if they knew the truth? That the girl in their glossy magazines could barely stand to look at herself anymore.
You hated this. The lying, the pretending. Nina thought you were just going through a rough patch, but she didnât know how deep the cracks went. It wasnât supposed to be like this. You werenât supposed to be this anymoreâbroken, fragile, teetering on the edge again. You swore youâd never come back to this place. But itâs funny how easy it is to fall back into old habits, how fast the darkness creeps in when no oneâs watching.
No oneâs watching.
Maybe thatâs for the best. Let them keep seeing the version of you they wanted to seeâthe confident supermodel, the girl who had it all. Let them believe the lie, because the truth? The truth was ugly. The truth was youâve been staring at your phone for days, hopingâno, needingâfor a message, for something from him.
But nothing.
He was in Missouri. Working, you guessed. You didnât even know when he was coming back. He didnât say.Â
You hated him for that. But you hated yourself more for caring. For letting him in, even when you knew better. For thinking, for just one second, that maybeâjust maybeâthere was something real between you, beneath all the lies you told the world.
But none of it was real. Not the dating, not the smiles, not the person they thought you were. You were a fraud. A perfect, golden fraud wrapped up in designer clothes and empty promises. And the worst part was, you were too tired to fight it anymore. Maybe this was who you were now. A girl who hid in her apartment, waiting for the world to forget she existed.
Or maybe it already happened.
The sound of the door creaking open started you, pulling you out of the spiral youâve been sinking into. You didnât even need to look up to know who it was. No one else had the key to your apartment beside her.
âAre you kidding me, Y/N?â Ninaâs voice cut through the heavy silence like a knife. âThis is the third time this week. How long do you think you can keep doing this?â
You didnât respond.
Nina stromed in, slamming the door behind her, and you heard her heels clacking on the floor as she made her way to the living room. âYouâre not answering your phone. Youâre not responding to emails. You missed three shoots! People are asking questions, Y/N. What do you think Iâm supposed to tell them?â
You stayed silent, curling deeper into the couch. Maybe if you didnât look at her, sheâll go away. Maybe sheâll finally get the hint that you didnât want to be saved.
But Nina wasnât the type to back off. âNo,â she snapped. âYou donât get to ignore me, not today. You need to get up. You need to fix this, Y/N. You think you can just hide away forever? Is that the plan? Because let me tell you, honey, the world wonât wait for you to get your shit together.â
She stood in front of you now, hands on her hips, glaring down at you like a disappointed mother. Her usually immaculate hair was slightly disheveled, and you could tell by the tension in her jaw that sheâs been worrying.Â
âTalk to me, honey,â she said, her voice lower now. âThis isnât you. You donât just disappear like this. What happened? Is it Rafe? Is it work? Are you back toâŠâ her voice trailed off, but the question hanged in the air, heavy and unspoken.Â
You couldnât look at her. The shame curled in your chest, making in hard to breathe. She didnât know. She didnât know how badly youâve relapsed, how badly everything felt like it was slipping out of control again. And you couldnât bring yourself to say it. Not to her. Not to anyone.
âWhenâs the last time you even showered? Eaten something decent? Your careerâs on the line. Everything weâve worked for is on the line. You canât just⊠give up like this.â
Her words hit like slaps, each one stinging, but you still didnât move. You couldnât.
Nina huffed, pacing now, her frustration spilling over. âI donât know what happened between you and Rafe, and honestly, I donât care. But whatever it is, you donât get to throw your life away because of it. Youâre stronger than this, Y/N. I know you are. So why the hell are you letting this break you?â
You flinched at the word âbreak.â Because thatâs what it feels like. Like youâre already broken, shattered into a million pieces, and you didnât even know how to start putting yourself back together.
Nina crouched down in front of you, her voice softening, her eyes searching yours. âTalk to me, honey. Please. Tell me whatâs going on. I canât help you if you donât let me in.â
For a moment, you almost did. You almost told her everythingâthe text, the relapse, the endless void youâve been sinking into. But the words caught in your throat, choking you. Whatâs the point in talking when nothing will change?
You shook your head, your voice barely a whisper. âIâm fine.â
Ninaâs eyes narrowed. âDonât give me that bullshit. Youâre not fine. Youâre far from it. You think I havenât seen you like this before? Youâre not fooling anyone, Y/N.â
She stood, her frustration bubbling back to the surface. âYou need to snap out of it. Because in five days, youâre getting engaged to Rafe Cameron, whether you like it or not. And a week after that, youâre walking down the aisle. You canât afford to fall apart now.â
You swallowed hard, the weight of her words pressing down on you like a lead blanket. The engagement. The wedding. The lies. It all felt so suffocating, so inevitable.
Nina crossed her arms, her voice firm. âSo hereâs whatâs going to happen. Youâre going to get up, youâre going to shower, and youâre going to pull yourself together. Because tomorrow, youâve got a charity event with Rafe, and youâre going to smile for the cameras and make everyone believe that youâre still that perfect, golden girl they love.â
You wanted to scream at her, tell her you couldn't do it, that you didn't even know how to pretend anymore. But instead, you nodded numbly, sinking deeper into the fog that had settled over your mind.
Nina sighed, her voice softening again as she headed toward the door. "I'll be back tomorrow morning. And I swear, Y/N, if you're still in this state when I get here, I will personally drag you to that charity event."
The door closed behind her with a soft click, leaving you alone with the weight of everything she'd just said.

You hadnât slept. Not really. Just laid there, staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out how you were supposed to pretend like everything was fine when every part of you was falling apart. You could still hear Ninaâs voice in your head, telling you to pull yourself together, to be the golden girl everyone expected you to be.Â
You dragged yourself out of bed, your body heavy. Your legs felt weak, and your mind feltl worse. Everything was numb, but somehow you still felt the pain. You stumbled into the bathroom, turning the water on without thinking. The cold spray hit your skin like tiny needes, and you stood there for a while, trying to let the string wake you up. But it didnât workâyou were still in that fog.
When you finally stepped out of the shower, you didnât even bother looking in the mirror. It didnât matter. You grabbed the first thing you sawâa plain black sweater, loose and oversized, and a pair of jeans that didnât quite fit right anymore. You didnât even try with your hair, just pulled it back into a bun. No makeup. What was the point? It wasnât like anyone cared what you looked like today.
When you got to the office, the tension hit you the moment you walked through the door. Your stomach twisted as you made your way down the hallway, each step heavier than the last. You could feel your pulse in your throat, your chest tightening with every breath. You shouldnât have cared. You shouldnât. But as you pushed open the door to the conference room and saw him sitting thereâRafe, looking like he hadnât been bothered by a single thingâyou felt the anger bubbling up, hot and sharp.
It started as a familiar ache that had been building ever since the night he walked out of your apartment without a word. Two weeks. Fourteen days of silence. Fourteen nights spent waiting for a text that never came, hoping for even the smallest explanation, something to make sense of the hollow space heâd left behind.
Day 1. Monday, 2:42 AM
You: âHey. Are you home? LMK, just to be safe.â
Day 2. Tuesday, 8:18 AM
You: âIâm still so confused about what happened last night, but letâs talk when you have a minute.â
Day 3. Wednesday, 5.32 PM
You: âLook, if youâre mad at me, just say it! I thought we were good, what the hell?â
Day 4. Friday, 11:04 PM
You: âItâs been days and I still donât understand why you left like this.â
Day 5. Sunday, 3:27 PM
You: âFuck you. I don't know why I keep texting. I know youâre seeing my texts, even though Iâm on delivered. Just tell me if youâre done with this.â
Day 5. Sunday, 10:41 PM
You: âWhy am I acting like Iâm the one who fucked up? I didnât do anything wrong. You left me like I was nothing, and your only explanation was a shitty rom-com excuse. I thought we were friends, Rafe.â
Day 5: Sunday, 11:36 PM
You: âI hope you rot in your shit ass apartment, but trust that I will show up to one of your stupid games with a sign that says âSmall Dick Ghosterâ in big, glittery letters. And I hope Chiara will hug you so hard that sheâll end up strangling you to death. Fuck you, again!â
And there he was, sitting there like none of it had happened, like you were still just strangers playing a game. His posture relaxed, that effortless confidence radiating from him, his gaze fixed on the papers in front of him, completely indifferent.
It infuriated youâthe ease with which he moved on, the way he could look so composed, so completely unbothered, as if he hadnât abandoned you in that moment when you were raw and vulnerable. Like it meant nothing. Like you meant nothing.
Every part of you screamed to confront him, to demand an explanation for the silence, the absence, the complete disregard. You could feel the hurt clawing up from your chest, tangling with the anger that burned hotter with each passing second. He was so close, but somehow, he felt miles away.
So instead, you steeled yourself, locking down the hurt, burying it beneath the anger that simmered just beneath the surface. You wouldnât let him see the effect he had on you, wouldnât give him the power to know just how much his absence had shattered you. Noâhe would get nothing from you. Not a word, not a glance, not a single sign of the turmoil raging inside you.
You walked past him without a word, each step heavy with the weight of the anger you swallowed down. Let him sit there, pretending like nothing was wrong. Let him think he could ignore you, dismiss you, erase you from his life without consequence. Because you would make sure he felt every bit of the coldness he had left you with, every ounce of the hurt heâd carved into you.
Ignoring him was the only power you had left, the only way to keep the anger from spilling over, from breaking you down entirely. And if he thought he could continue on as if the past two weeks hadnât happened, then he was going to learn just how wrong he was.
Nicolas cleared his throat, breaking the silence that had settled over the room. âHi, you twoâweâve got a lot to go over, and the timeline is tight. The engagement is in five days, and the wedding is scheduled for a week after that. So we need to finalize the details todayâfood, decorations, dresses, the guest listâŠâ
You couldnât focus. The words blurred together a dull hum in the background as you stared down at the table. Rafe said something, his voice casual, but you tuned it out. You didnât want to hear him.
Sabrina spoke next, her tone brighter, more enthusiastic. âThe audience is really enjoying you together, by the way. Ever since your date, and especially after the pictures from Kelceâs party where you two were cuddled up? People are in love with the idea of you and Rafe together. So, good job, guys.â
Your stomach churned at her words. Cuddled up. Like you were some happy couple.
âAnd tomorrow,â she continued. âYouâll need to make another public appearance together. Itâs a charity event for cancer awareness. A perfect opportunity for more good press. The public is expecting you two to show up as the perfect coupleâaffectionate, in love, all of that.â
In love.
You bit down on the inside of your cheek so hard you tasted blood. This was the part where you were supposed to smile and nod, agree to hold his hand and play the role of the devoted future fiancée. But all you felt was the tension building, the weight of the lie pressing down on you until it was suffocating.
Rafe shifted in his seat, and you could feel his eyes on you, but you still didnât look at him. Rafe felt an uneasy twist in his stomach. You looked⊠different. Disheveled, almost. Your sweater hung losely over your shoulders, practically swallowing your frame, and he could see dark shadows under your eyes that hadnât been there before. You seemed smaller somehow, your usual energy muted, replaced by something tense and fragile.
Rafeâs gaze dropped to your hands, noticing how your fingers fidgeted restlessly, twisting and tugging at your sleeves. Your leg was bouncing under the table, tapping out an anxious rhythm that only he seemed to notice. Every small movement, every nervous habitâyou looked like you were holding yourself back, like there was something simmering beneath the surface, ready to break free.
You still hadnât looked at him, hadnât given him a single glance, and that bothered him more than he wanted to admit. Youâd been messaging him, and heâd been⊠well, avoiding it, convincing himself it was for the best. But seeing you now, seeing the wear and tear heâd left behind, he couldnât shake the guilt.
Rafeâs chest tightened. Heâd expected you to be angry, maybe annoyed. But this? You looked worn down, frayed at the edges, like you've been carrying a weight no one else could see.
You didnât remember most of the details they were talking about. Your mind drifted in and out of focus as they went on about the guest list, the food, the decorations. All you heard were wordsâdresses, flowers, venues. None of it felt real. It was as if you were watching someone elseâs life unfold in front of you, just sitting there, an outsider in your own story.
âThe wedding will be televised, of course,â Sabrina says, flipping through her notes, her eyes gleaming with the excitement of it all. âAnd with a full press presence. We want every detail to reflect both of your public personas. Elegant, grand, but also with an intimate, personal feelâsomething that tells a story about who you both are.â
Who we were. I almost laughed at the irony. I didn't even know who I was right now, much less who we were.
âWe were thinking of something grand but elegant. A modern luxury wedding. White roses, lots of gold accents. Maybe something at the estate in the Hamptons?â
You glanced at the board, at all the glossy, pristine images of weddings that could belong to anyone. None of them felt like you.
âDo you have any preferences?â Sabrina asked, smiling like this is the most exciting conversation in the world. âColors, themes, anything thatâs important to you?â
"Actually," you finally broke your silence, your voice coming out quietly, but the words landing heavily in the room. "Iâd like the ceremony to reflect... my background." You could feel Rafe's eyes on you again, but for once, you didnât care. This wasnât about him.
Sabrina blinked, taken aback, but she quickly nodded, jotting down notes as if she were open to whatever you had in mind. "Of course, that could be beautiful. Were you thinking about specific details?"
You hesitated for a moment, uncertain if theyâd take you seriously, but you pressed on. "Yes. The colors⊠the decorations. I want there to be vibrant colorsânot just whites and pastels, but deep greens, maroons, and gold. The way weâd have them back home. And for the flowers⊠jasmine and roses. Thatâs what we use for weddings where Iâm from. I want it to feel like... like part of my heritage."
Nicolas raised an eyebrow, as if he hadnât expected you to care about any of this. But he just nodded, his pen moving across his notepad. "We can definitely arrange that. A traditional, multicultural theme would add a unique touch to the event, I think. Itâll definitely resonate with the press and the viewers."
You didnât care if it resonated. It wasnât for themâit was for you, a sliver of authenticity in this whole farce.
Then Sabrinaâs voice broke into your thoughts. "And of course, the dress. Have you given any thought to what you want? Or would you like us to arrange for a stylist to go over options with you?"
Your heart twisted at the mention of the dress. The one thing youâd always imagined as a girlâthe dress youâd wear at your own wedding. Only, youâd never thought it would be for this.
"Iâd like to include some of my culture there too," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "Maybe... a fusion. Something elegant and modern but with hints of traditional South Asian bridal elements. Like embroidery or... beadwork. Maybe even henna if it wouldnât look out of place."
Sabrina seemed to light up at the idea. "That would be stunning. We can definitely work with that! I know several designers who specialize in fusing traditional and contemporary styles."
She was still talking, but the air around you felt thicker, as though the room was closing in. You could sense Rafeâs gaze without even looking at him, the weight of his silence pressing into you.
You zoned out again, your mind wandering back to the last wedding you attended. The colors, the music, the way the brideâs lehenga shimmered under the sun as she walked down the aisle. Youâd always thought your wedding would be like thatâfull of life and celebration, surrounded by people who loved you.
Instead, you were planning a wedding for the cameras, for people who didnât know you.

The sudden, sharp knock on the door cut through the stillness like a jolt of cold water. Your head shot up from the pillow, heart hammering in your chest. For a moment, the world felt like it was still. The quiet of your apartment, the thick fog still clouding your thoughts. You didnât want to get up. You didnât want to face the world outside of this bed, this cocoon of emptiness youâd wrapped yourself in for days.
Another knock, this one louder, more demanding.
âY/N!â Ninaâs voice came through the door, sharp and impatient. âYou better not still be in bed, because I swearââ
The door swung open before you could even make a sound, Nina storming in, wearing the same determined, unbothered expression she always had when she was on a mission. You tried to bury your face back into the pillow, but she wasnât having it. Her hand reached down, grabbing the covers and yanking them off with force. You shivered as the cold air hit your skin, the warmth of the blankets yanked away along with any shred of comfort youâd been clinging to.
âGet up.â Nina wasnât asking. She was commanding. âYouâve got a charity event today, and Rafe is already at the venue. We donât have time for your pity party.â
You squinted at her, still half-wrapped in your sheets like a burrito, and mumbled from underneath the pillow, âCanât you just⊠I donât know⊠handle it for me? Go in my place. Youâd look great in a gown.â
She cocked an eyebrow. âOh, Iâd look amazing, but you and I both know I donât have that kind of charisma.â
âTrue,â you admitted, peeking out from under the pillow.Â
Nina raised her hands in mock surrender. âExactly. Now, up. Iâm not playing with you today.â
Before you could even protest, she yanked the covers off you with a dramatic flourish, leaving you to shiver in nothing but your oversized T-shirt. It was a miracle you didnât roll off the bed in the process.
âCome on, Y/N. Letâs go.â Nina didnât wait for you to even get a grip on reality before heading straight for your closet, rummaging through your clothes like she was on a mission. âYouâre going to look so good today that Rafe might just start thinking you actually like him.â
You shot her a glare that couldâve frozen water, but she just smirked, tossing a black dress onto the bed like she was some fashion fairy sent to save you from yourself.
âIâm not going,â you said flatly.
âOh, yes, you are.â Nina threw a matching pair of heels onto the bed with the same casual flick of the wrist she used to dismiss your protests. âBecause you will look stunning, and you will show up.â
You sat up slowly, rubbing your face. âWhat is it with you people? Why does everyone keep trying to drag me out of bed? Itâs like Iâm the worldâs most reluctant celebrity.â
âBecause you are.â Nina grinned, holding up your dress like she was presenting the Holy Grail. âBut, hey, guess what? Youâre really good at it. So stop sulking and get your glam on. Youâre the star of the show today.â
You let out a theatrical sigh. âOh, joy.â
Nina didnât even flinch. âIâm not asking for a performance. Just put on the damn dress and show up. You can pretend to be miserable, and Iâll pretend Iâm not a miracle worker for getting you out of here.â
You hesitated for just a moment, then dragged yourself out of bed with a grunt. âFine.â
âOh, by the way, Aishaâs going to be there. She practically begged me to make sure you show.â
Your eyes snapped open. Aisha Patel. Your best friend and, quite honestly, the only person in your life who could drag you out of bed with a single text. Sheâs been your best friend since youâd arrived in the States. Sheâd been away for five monthsâlonger than ever beforeâworking on some high-profile project in Switzerland. You hadnât seen her in ages.
âYouâre kidding,â you mumbled, sitting up and rubbing your eyes. âAishaâs coming?â
Nina smiled smugly. âYep. Sheâs flown back for the event. Can you imagine the drama if you donât show up? Sheâll never let you live it down.â
You sighed, a smile tugging at your lips. âGod, I missed her.â
âMe too,â Nina said, her voice softening for just a second. âBut you still have to get up. Like now.â
You looked at the dress Nina had already picked out, a sleek white gown that somehow made you feel both glamorous and like you were about to attend a royal gala. âFine. Iâm up. Iâm dressed.â
Nina, who was already rummaging through your closet like a pro, grinned. âYou look absolutely beautiful, honey,â she noticed your weight loss but decided to not speak on it, in fear itâll make you relapse⊠if only she knew. âChiaraâs also going to be there...â
You froze, the mention of Chiara Romano sending a cold shiver down your spine. Youâd told Nina everything about the Chiara encounterâher subtle digs, the way she made you feel like you were just another passing phase in Rafeâs life. Sheâd made things uncomfortable enough at Kelceâs party, and now you had to face her again?
âWhat? Fucking why?â
âHer fatherâs the one running the whole damn event,â she explained. âIâm surprised you havenât heard of her or her family because theyâre pretty famous, especially in the entertainment and events world. So, get ready for a day full of small talk, fake smiles, and people who will pry into your private life.â
You sighed. âHow perfect is that?â
You stood in front of the mirror, trying to shake off the heavy weight of everything swirling in your head. You glanced at the clock. You were running out of time.
You reached for your hair tie, pulling it through your tangled locks. Your hair had grown longer than you remembered, and you decided to tie it up in a messy, yet elegant bunâone that would allow a few soft, curly strands to escape and frame your face. It was casual but chicâclassic you. You let a few strands fall loosely, giving the bun a less formal, more effortless vibe. After a moment of satisfaction, you moved on to the makeup.
A soft, dewy glow covered your skin, nothing too dramatic. You didnât want to feel caked in layers today, just enough to enhance your features. You applied a touch of blush to your cheeks, just a hint, to keep the look fresh. A thin line of mascara lengthened your lashes, and your signature lip combo was the finishing touch. Simple. Comfortable.
As you turned to check yourself one last time, you heard Nina's voice from the other room.
âY/N! We need to go now. Rafe's texting me and heâs getting antsy. Heâs apparently already at the event!â
You sighed, feeling the familiar rush of anxiety settle into your stomach. The mirror reflected a version of you that was ready for the world, but the world, especially tonight, wasnât ready for this version of you. But as the pressure of the event built up, you couldnât deny the uncertainty gnawing at you.
When you made your way into the living room, Nina was pacing, her phone glued to her ear. She shot you a quick, approving glance. âLooking good. Letâs go.â
As you grabbed your clutch, ready to face whatever tonight had in store, the doorbell rang. Your heart skipped a beat. Was it Aisha? Maybe sheâd arrived early, wanting to meet up before the event?
But when you opened the door, your breath caught.
Standing in the doorway wasnât Aisha.
It was Rafe.
He was in a suitâsharp, looking like he belonged in a magazine ad for high-end fashionâbut his eyes, dark and intense, held something more than just a desire to impress. He had the look of a man who knew he had messed up.
His words hit you before you could even process them. âYou look stunning. I wanted to make sure youâre okay... before all this.â The sincerity in his voice made your heart thump a little faster, and you hated yourself for it.
The words caught you off guard, and for a moment, you just stood there, blinking at him. You hadnât expected him to show upâespecially not with that kind of intensity in his eyes.
You exhaled slowly, your arms instinctively crossing over your chest, your posture defensive. The audacity of this guy.
âReally?â You scoffed, trying to mask the vulnerability creeping up your spine with sharp sarcasm. âNow you care?â
Rafe seemed to falter at that, but he quickly recovered, taking a small step closer, but not enough to make you feel cornered. âIâve always cared, Y/N. You know that.â His voice was quieter this time, and the sincerity in his eyes almost made your resolve crack.
âDo I?â you shot back, stepping out of the doorway and giving him a once-over, your gaze icy. âBecause you sure had a funny way of showing it.â
Rafe winced, a flash of guilt flickering in his eyes. He ran a hand through his hair, his jaw tight. âI messed up, okay? I shouldâve reached out. I didnât know what to say, but I shouldâve just... shown up.â
You rolled your eyes, the anger simmering beneath your skin rising again. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest, not from the sight of him, but from the frustration that had been building over the past two weeks. âYou didnât know what to say? You think showing up fixes two weeks of silence? Just like that?â
He took a step forward, his face tightening, as though he was bracing himself for a confrontation. "I wasnât sure what to do," he said, his voice lowering. "I thought... maybe you needed space. I thought if I gave you time, it would be better." He ran a hand through his hair, frustration clear in his expression. âI was trying to do the right thing.â
You stared at him for a long moment, the audacity of his words settling like a lump in your throat. âSpace?â you asked, your voice low, incredulous. âYou thought ghosting me for two weeks would give me space?âÂ
Rafeâs face twisted in guilt, but it didnât matter. You werenât going to let him off the hook.
âDid you at least see my texts?â you demanded, anger rising in your throat.
"Y/N, youâre needed at the car right now!" Nina called, stopping Rafe in his tracks of answering. Before you could walk away, Rafe reached out, his hand closing around your wrist, pulling you back gently.
"Wait," he murmured, his thumb brushing your skin.
You stared up at Rafe, your breath caught in your throat, uncertainty swirling in your chest. The air between you two felt charged, a thousand unspoken questions hanging in the balance. Your pulse was racing, but before you could voice any of them, Nina practically shoved you both into the elevator. Her hand pressed the button for the ground floor as she threw your heels at you, the sharp click of the stilettos punctuating the tension.
You caught them on instinct. The elevator descended, and your mind was still spiraling, trying to piece together what the hell was happening. What the fuckâthis distance between you and Rafe?Â
But just as the elevator doors opened, the sound of a familiar car door slamming outside caught your attention. A quiet thud, followed by the sound of heels clicking against pavement. Your instincts were on alert, an uneasy feeling crawling under your skin.
And when you turned to look, you saw someone stepping out of the car.
Someone who shouldnât be here.
âI was wondering when weâd get the chance to catch up.â

COOKED. BAKED. BARBECUED đ thank youâ
Thank you! I enjoy writing shorter fun blurbs amidst my giant ass stories.
Anon I have been looking for an excuse to write about this smarmy asshole for a while. Excuse me while I run with your compliment đ
đ
Phillip Graves loved heading home after jobs. The shift from dry air recirculating air of the plane to the moisturizing soup that passed for oxygen in the south east of Texas was the first sign he could relax.
The second sign often was his sister's incessant calls to his phone as she circled the airport waiting for him. Lillian hated waiting for her little brother. She complained he took an excessive amount of time to escape the airport despite him never checking a bag and having the skills and leg length to stride past hordes of others attempt to escape the liminal hell that is the airport.
If ever you meet a powerful man and want to be reminded he is no more than a man, you should see him with his family. They do not care if their brother can topple governments. He is just a person who flinches when his sister points a wooden spoon at him too aggressively. He can't forget the times it connected before.
The third sign that Phil had arrived home was the smell of BBQ drifting into his nose. The owner of the food truck had found a perfect spot to set up three times a week; the parking lot of a local gym. Stupidly smart businessmen.
Phil could hold himself back from many things. Fall off the bone ribs after a hearty work out could never be one of those things.
He has noticed you inside the gym. Of course he did, it was his job to notice. You were strongly built, a feast for his eyes.
Phil had learned dainty was never going to pull him in quite like the ability for a woman to lay him out if he mouthed off. Or tie him down and edge him to hell, whatever her prerogative happened to be. Mmm his last girlfriend hadn't been interested in strapping him to the bed and fucking him within and inch of his life. Yeah, that's what he needed on this leaveâdays without leaving the bedroom and a woman who would fuck him like she hated him.
Now Phil is an opportunist; he won't take shots that will likely miss. He noticed you in the gym but only let his fantasies run wild and not his mouth. He finished up his workout and left the gym, presumably leaving you behind for good.
He would have left you behind, but it seemed you also had a hankering for some of the best BBQ in the state. You seemed smart enough not to say that out loud though. Highly contested titles were highly contested for a reason.
Having gotten his overfull styrofoam box Phil settled in the one patch of shade near the food truck. Everyone else piled back into their cars and drove away to enjoy, but Phil didn't want to wait. The meal settled on his knees he dived in.
When you join the queue, spandex pulled snug across your body, Phil watches. Taking in the view of you moving with a purpose and smiling at the man taking your order, he adds these to the mental files for later. Creepy? Maybe. But he didn't make it your problem.
Tucking into his meal Phil is pleasantly surprised when the sound of shoes slapping concrete pulls him from the haze of good seasoning and moist meat. Looking up, it's you.
Instead of offering a smile like southern hospitality instructed, you point to the shade next to him.
"That free?"
Phil lifted a brow and gestured to the open space with an elbow. Swallowing down his bite, Phil lets you settle before he speaks up. The rib pinched between his fingers has a bite left. He didn't learn much from his father, but he did learn not to waste his food.
"That accent is too strong to have been here long." Phil presses the knuckle of one hand to his mouth he cleared his throat. "What brought you out this way?"
"A cheating man, why else does someone move here?" You give him a hard side eye as you dig into your mashed potatoes.
He opens his mouth to continue the conversation, ignoring the clear 'I don't want to talk about this' vibes you are throwing off.
You cut him off before the air can leave his lungs to form words.
"I'm going to a sex party tonight."
Ah so you had learned how to get the religion folks to back off. Interesting. Meant you had been out this way a while.
"Interesting, which club?" Phil keeps his eye on his food as he names off a few larger ones and several smaller ones. He clocks the slight twitch when he picks the right one.
"You sure know a lot of clubs out here," you glance over to him with narrowed eyes before picking up your own rib.
"Mmm. Maybe I'll see you out tonight," Phil drops the information casually like he hasn't adjusted every plan he has in the hopes of wearing you like a mask.
"Maybe," you reply noncommittally.
Silence between the gusts of wind is all that is between you until Phil suckles the sauce from his fingers and closes his box. The best thing about this food truck is the leftovers.
Phil stands, throws you a wink, and walks to his lovingly restores 1960's Chevy truck.
Imagining the look on your face when he is introduced as one of the owners of the club you are going to tonight got him through. Through the rest of the day with his sister, through dinner with his family without punching someone out, and through the traffic that would normally have him cursing people out in all his favorite swear words from across the globe.
He had been wrong. The look on your face was better than anything he could have imagined.

Drunk confessions when he comes home drunk (feat. Bang Chan)
Chan practically dragged Hyunjin up your front steps, both of them laughing as Hyunjin leaned heavily on his shoulder, âHeâs completely leglessâ, Chan said with a grin, easing him into your arms. You blinked, âLegless?â. Chan chuckled, âIt means drunk. Really, really drunk. Youâll manage. Good luck!â. And just like that, he vanished, leaving you with an overly affectionate, mumbling Hyunjin pressing his face into your neck like a sleepy cat.
You guided him toward the bedroom, stumbling every few steps as he clung to you with a surprising strength. âYouâre heavyâ, you grumbled, pushing him down onto the bed. âI feel light as airâ, he said, slurring slightly, arms spread out dramatically across the mattress. You rolled your eyes, kneeling to untie his shoes and slide off his jacket. Then your fingers found the buttons of his shirt, and you hesitated for a second. He was flushed, warm, and clearly uncomfortable in all those layers. You were just helping, that was all
Even so, you couldnât help but think that his body was... art. His bare chest was rising and falling slowly, collarbones catching the soft light, abdomen flexing slightly when he shifted, revealing the delicate curve of muscle and skin. You swallowed. Youâd seen him shirtless before, but somehow this felt more intimateâ more vulnerable. And something about it made your breath catch.
Just as your fingers brushed his waistband, Hyunjin cracked one eye open, a mischievous smirk tugging at his lips, âAlready trying to take my clothes off, huh?â. You roll your eyes, flustered,âYouâre drunk. And âIâm just helping you get comfortable, dumbassâ. He hums, head tilting as he gazes at you with that teasing look typical of him, âToo bad⊠I already have a girlfriendâ.
You play along, lips curling. You narrowed your eyes, matching his playful tone, âOh, yeah? Who is she?â. He closed his eyes again, smiling softly, âSheâs the most beautiful person Iâve ever seen. Has this laugh that makes my heart do this weird fluttery thing. Always puts her cold feet on me at night, says itâs revenge. But Iâd do anything for herâ. Your heart pounded, a silly smile grew on your lips, âShe sounds luckyâ. âSheâs mineâ, he said quietly, like it was a vow, âAnd Iâm hersâ.
Your heart melts, the atmosphere shifting into something more tender. You help him settle into the covers, but as you lean in to fix his pillow, his hand brushes your thigh. It lingers just a second too long, âI bet sheâd like it if you stayed right here,â he murmurs, voice low and heavy with affection. You laugh, your cheeks warm, âHyunjinâŠâ. But his arm snakes around your waist, pulling you closer until your legs tangled under the covers. His lips brushed your shoulderâ not quite a kiss, but not nothing either. You could feel his breath against your skin. âJust to hold you. Thatâs all. I want to feel you closeâ, he admitted. So you laid down beside him. But that wasnât the end.
Your heartbeat quickened as his fingers danced along the edge of your shirt, the lightest touch just barely brushing your skin, âDo you want me to stop?â he asked, the words coming out quietly, âWhy would you stop?â. âDid you knowâ, he whispered, voice dipped in sleep and desire, âThat you drive me crazy when you look at me like that?â âLike what?â âLike Iâm more than a drunk idiot in your bedâ âWell, you are more than a drunk idiot in my bedâ. Hyunjinâs lips curled into a smile, and before you knew it, his hand was tracing the curve of your bare waist, soft and warm. He tugged you gently toward him, his face inches from yours. His breath, warm and intoxicating, mixed with yours, and you could feel the tension building in the air. You could sense something building between the two of youâ something that made your stomach flip.
And yet, despite how close you were, he didnât push it further. He let his fingers wander lazily across your back, pushing the fabric of your shirt higher, but never quite enough to expose you completely. His touch was gentle, as if he was savoring every moment of this closeness, âI think we should sleepâ, he whispered, but there was a slight tremor in his voice now, as if even he wasnât sure how much longer he could hold back. âI was trying to help you get into bedâ, you said, voice soft but with a teasing tone, âGuess I got a little carried awayâ. He laughed quietly, pulling you even closer, âGuess I donât mindâ, he murmured against your skin, his lips brushing lightly over the exposed curve of your shoulder.Â
The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension now. His fingers grazed your ribs before traveling lower to your hip, not quite touching anywhere private, but still leaving a trail of goosebumps wherever they went. Your heart beat faster as you shifted beside him, feeling the bond between you grow stronger, the air electric with unspoken desire, âAre you going to make me beg?â, he whispered, his voice rougher now. âYouâll have to waitâ, you teased back, giving him a small push, though you werenât sure if you were trying to distance yourself or draw him closer.
In the quiet tension that hung between you, words didnât seem necessary anymore. It was enough that you were there, and he was there, and everything in this moment felt like it was on the verge of something more heated, but also something soft, something slowâ a new kind of intimacy.
And when the air finally seemed to cool and the tension dissipated just enough for sleep to creep in, Hyunjinâs arm slid around you, pulling you close. His lips whispered into your hair, soft and warm, and though nothing else happened that night, you knew that the connection between you two had changed, âStayâŠâ âWhat?â âStay here with me foreverâ âIâm not going anywhere, Hyunieâ. He chuckled quietly, pulling you closer into his chest, âI love youâ. You could feel his smile against his skin, as your eyes closed softly, âI know. I love you tooâ.Â

God Complex | Lestat x Reader x Louis
à· you want out, realizing your little family isnât as perfect as you thought, but they would never let you slip away so easily.
i definitely went overboard đ

âLestat, you donât have to do this,â Louis stressed.
âShe has to learn, itâs either this, or we are exposed,â Lestat said, shutting the coffin. Under the pebbles you laid, crying, begging for forgiveness. Despite your attempts to break free, the coffin wouldnât budge.
âLouis, please, Lestat, Iâm sorry,â you screamed, your voice falling on deaf ears, as he shut the door of the basement, leaving you alone at the bottom of the townhouse.
âNeither of you are to let her out, a few days will teach her a needed lesson,â he pointed at the two. Louis looked distressed, knowing his companion was right, despite his desire to argue. While Claudia frowned, saddened by your cries, but knew better than to go against her fatherâs words.
âIâm sorry,â you kept crying. If only you could take it back. This was your second time acting so careless, and you knew better than to think Lestat would let you do this a third.
From the moment Lestat turned you, you were a wildflower. He loved how animalistic you became, while Louis enjoyed how sweet you remained. Claudia was happy to finally have someone new in their lives, other than the two.
You were exceptional at hunting, and Lestat became lenient, oftentimes letting you wander. Youâd find your meal, and quickly and efficiently discard the mess. However, when the arrogant salesman came into the bar, speaking to everyone as if they were beneath him, your tongue tingled at the sight.
The thought of him submitting and begging for mercy turned you on beyond comprehension. Biting your lip, you stood, approaching him, intentionally bumping his shoulder. His hand went to your waist, as he began to apologize, while his eyes not so discreetly roamed.
âGarret Anderson, darling,â he introduced, as you shook his hand.
âHi,â you smiled, mischievously.
âNot him, choose someone else,â you heard Louisâs voice. Usually, youâd listen, but you couldnât this time, not when the smell of his blood made you feel feral in the best way.
âWould you like to dance-
âCome with me,â you ignored him, grabbing his hand to pull him out of the establishment. He grinned, thinking he had won a prize when he was walking straight into the trap.
Pushing him into the dim alley, you slipped your tongue into his mouth, pressing your body against his own.
âOh, I donât think I got your nameâ
âYou donât worry about my name, sugar, just focus on my voice,â you told him, as he looked into your eyes.
âOk,â he nodded, hypnotized.
âY/n, Lestat doesnât want you to choose him,â Claudia said, as you bare your teeth.
âItâs too late,â you spoke, biting his neck, drinking his life away.
âPlease,â you heard him inaudible beg, his grip loosening from your arm, as his form began to weaken.
âWhat part of not him did you not understand?â Lestat asked, snappily, standing behind you, as you released the man, watching his corpse sink to the wet ground.
âWas I supposed to play with my food?â You pouted, the action usually worked, but this time he kept the harsh gaze.
âThis man is related to Tom Anderson and the last person he has been seen with, was you,â he said angrily.
âI didn't know, and I always clean up after myself,â you defended.
âThat isnât the point, you get the order to choose another and you still chose to disobey, putting all of our lives at risk, again,â Lestat said, trying to keep his composure, feeling himself about to yell.
âWe can talk about this when we get home, Claudia and I will clean up,â Louis said, hoping to de-escalate the situation.
However, after the body was burned, Lestat continued to yell, before deciding to bury you in the rock-filled coffin, as a punishment. ïżŒ
You werenât sure how long you were locked away, starving. It could have only been days, but on an empty stomach, it felt like weeks. You cried for too many hours, begging, trying to communicate with Louis and Claudia - but no one ever came. No one would come, youâd be left here to starve to death until Lestat was ready to release you.
You began to dream, imagining yourself on all kinds of adventures. Traveling to different countries, tasting the different people, none of which Lestat planned on doing soon. He made the rules and you all went along, occasionally finding compromise. Finally, after what felt like forever, the coffin was opened.
Louis worriedly pulled you out, Claudia dusting the rocks off of you. Lestat didnât say a word, standing behind the two, watching as they tended to you. Slowly approaching you, he placed his hand under you jaw, making you look up.
âI hope youâve learned your lesson,â he said, before making his way upstairs.
âY/n,â you jumped, snapping out of the trance as Louis opened the coffin, holding his hand out for you to grab.
âSorry,â you smiled sheepishly, as he grinned, helping you out.
âItâs alright, why donât you get dressed, and weâll be waiting on you,â he winked, leaving you to change.
As you made your way down the stairs, you kept your eyes down, feeling his gaze.
Claudia was first to swing the door open, excitedly skipping out of the house - Louis not too far behind. Gulping, you went to follow him, when Lestat grabbed your waist, stopping you.
âYou look nice, ma chĂšrie,â he complimented.
âThank you,â you smiled, rushing to join Louis.
You didnât wander, staying close with the group, choosing the easiest target. Youâd always preferred your meal flamboyant, the loudest in the room always had the sweetest blood. However, you were too afraid to upset Lestat, ending up in the cramped coffin again.
Cleaning your mouth, you sat on one of the many benches in the park. You were still hungry, starving actually. The pathetic excuse of a human was no where near filling. As Lestat and Louis approached, their meals close behind like lambs being led to the slaughter, you got up.
Entering the house, you were about to follow Claudia upstairs, when Lestat grabbed your hand, leading you back down.
âI want you to be more vigilant about prey, not neglect and starve yourself, come, we have a plus one,â he told you, before announcing to the trio of men youâd be joining them.
âDo you think there is more to life than New Orleans?â You asked your coworker, Carol.
âI ainât got time to think about that Y/n, Iâm 24 and already a widow with an infant,â she huffed, wiping the table.
Opening your eyes you stared up at the coffin, trying to think back. You didnât remember too much about your mortal life, not even your family. You worked at a bar when you met Louis and Lestat, both incredibly charming. You were interesting to them, this wasnât anything new for Lestat, he had no problem admiring multiple people. Louis on the other hand, was surprised by his interest. You were easy on the eyes with the kindest soul, lighting up the room with your presence.
You ended up getting pneumonia and despite taking the needed medication, you began to succumb. On the brink of death, you saw him, was he a god? angel of death? You didnât know, tiredly watching as the two men exchanged words of agreement, before he lifted you, biting your neck.
You remembered the agony, throwing up as your body rejected your soul, killing itself. Louis carried you, while Lestat led the way, and the rest of your memory was gone.
Opening your coffin, you looked around the room, each side of you was a black coffin, empty. Noticing the small note on Lestatâs as you climbed out.
âLouis and I have business to attend to this evening, I trust you will hunt with Claudia, ma chĂšrieâ - L
Sitting the letter down, you walked down the stairs. Knowing Claudia, she had already left. Slipping on your shoes you began to walk the streets. The memories replayed in the back of your mind, as your feet aimlessly moved. Recognizing your surroundings, you slowed down, staring into the bar youâd plucked the Anderson relative from.
Suddenly, someone bumped your shoulder, catching your attention. An older woman, holding shopping bags.
âOh my, Iâm so sorry-Y/n?â You were stuck like a dear caught in headlights.
âGod has brought my baby home, donât just stand there and give your mama a hug,â she sat the bags down, as you cautiously approached, letting her tightly wrap her arms around you.
You were thankful for the times you practiced restraint and self control. It had been nearly three years of being a vampire, stuck at 26 and you grew better and better at controlling your urges around mortals, despite the occasional slip ups.
âMama?â
âOh baby, I knew youâd come back eventually, how was New York?â She asked, wiping the tears from her eyes.
âNew York?â You questioned, confused.
âWhy donât you come home, just for tonight?â She asked, hopeful. Slowly you nodded, letting her lead you to her car, handing the bags to her driver, you sat in the back seat next to her. Looking around, you hoped your surroundings would seem familiar but you had no clue where you were headed. After nearly fifteen minutes of driving, and your mother gushing about how much you were missed, the car began to slow down.
As the large house came into view, you frowned, unable to remember living there. The driver parked, and the front door opened.
âDid you get-Y/n? Y/n is back,â the younger boy who was exiting the house stopped, jumping for joy, screaming inside. A few more people came out, a familiar face catching your attention.
âY/n,â the woman screamed, running to you, colliding into you, as she wrapped her arms around your waist.
âCarol, can you make sure Y/n is made comfortable,â your mother asked.
âOf course, mama,â she nodded, grabbing your hands, leading you into the house.
âWhatâs with your eyes?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âNothing,â she let it go, as you stopped near the stairs, seeing all of the portraits. Family portraits. You stood amongst them, in the photos, even a painted portrait of yourself, along with your siblings.
âDaddy is going to be very happy to see you,â she smiled, pulling you up the stairs to a bedroom.
âWhere is he?â You asked, eyeing the room before you sat next to her on the bed.
âAt the sugar mill, duh, you know heâs a workaholic,â she laughed, before sitting up.
âSo how have you been? The last time I saw you, you were going on and on about that De Pointe Du Lac,â she smirked, biting her lip.
âIâm fine, Louis is fine,â you nodded.
âMy god, you married him? I hear he has a popular business in the quarter-
âNo, we have aâŠcompanionship, if that makes sense,â you mumbled, as she raised her eyebrows.
âOh? Thatâs nice-
âDaddyâs home,â the younger boy burst into the room, his eyes focused on you.
Standing up, you followed Carol from the room, down the stairs. Seeing the men and women standing downstairs, you stared plainly. These were your siblings and yet you couldnât remember or feel a thing.
âItâs good to see you,â the man, your brother, smiled, pulling you into a side hug before you followed them into the dining room.
Your father sat already, at the head of the table. Turning to face you, he stood up, you could hear his heart pounding, trembling. Slowly approaching you, you spoke up.
âDaddy,â you tried to sound as normal as possible, when he slung his arms around you. He began to cry, while you listened in on his thoughts. You were his favorite.
âYou two come sit, stop crying before I start too,â your mother laughed, as your father pulled away in agreement.
âSo how was New York?â
âYeah and why didnât you say goodbye, like you send a letter and disappear for three years,â your younger sister interrupted.
âDeloris, stop it, Iâm sure Y/n wanted to stop by but couldnât,â your mother interjected.
âI-New York was fine, very beautiful,â you said, accepting one of the many bowls of food being passed along. Taking a small piece of meat, you sat it on your nearly empty plate.
âYou came just in time for Josephâs engagement, heâs met a fine young lady from Gretna, Sarah, sheâll be here in a few days,â your mother pointed at your brother.
âFinally, heâs nearly 30 and we never thought heâd get married,â your younger brother said, making everyone laugh.
âCongratulations,â you told Joseph.
âThank you, and have you married, or are you with someone?â
âI have companions,â you smiled, nervously.
âMultiple?â Your father asked, stunned.
âOne of them is Louis,â Carol clapped.
âThe De Point Du Lac? I hear he lives with that French man-
âLestat De Lioncourt, god to be under him for a nightâ
âDeloris, watch your mouthâ
âSorryâ
âYou managed to stay in contact with him, but couldnât reach out to your family?â Your father spoke, a saddened expression.
âItâs complicated,â you mumbled.
âYou donât think itâs a bitâŠscandalous to have two lovers, who is the other?â your mother asked.
âLestat,â you said, clearing your throat, bracing yourself as nearly everyone gasped.
âLucky,â Deloris snickered.
âY/n, where are you?â You heard Clauiaâs voice, but you didnât respond.
âY/n, please tell me you're joking,â your father shook his head.
âI donât think this is a laughing matter,â you said, straightening your posture.
âY/n, where are you at?â Louis asked, making you clinch your jaw.
âYou kept in contact with those peculiar men, but it never crossed your mind to come home,â he slightly raised his voice.
âI said it was complicated,â you screamed over him, stabbing the fork into the meat, breaking the plate, before standing up, going to storm out of the house.
âY/n, wait,â your mother chased you, stopping you before you could leave.
âIâm sorry I came here,â you apologized.
âNo no, everyone is handling you being home differently, stay, you can go up to your room, here, I have something for you,â she reached for your cold hand, her warm thumb brushing over your veins. Leading you upstairs in the room, she went to the nightstand, pulled out a diary, handing it to you.
âI kept it, in case you ever came home, and I made sure no one read it,â she smiled sadly, kissing your forehead before she turned to leave.
âMa chĂšrie, enough of this, come homeâ Lestat said. You knew they were probably worried, for him to also use his powers to reach out to you.
âI wonât be home tonight,â you spoke, sending the message.
âDid you say something, honey?â Your mother stopped, turning to face you.
âNo, maâam,â you shook your head, watching as she exited the room.
Opening the book, your fingers traced down the words, the minor annotations, and little drawings on the side. You could still hear your vampire family faintly in your head when the room door opened.
âHey, Daddy is sorry, heâs too ashamed of how he acted to face you right now, but Iâm just letting you know, that Joseph, Antony, and Loretta left,â Carol spoke.
âOk,â you chuckled.
âAlso, I apologize in advance for the noise, Frankie is coming home soon and he is still a handful,â she laughed.
âFrankie?â
âYes and he is going to be so excited to see his favorite Aunt,â she said, before shutting the door.
Closing the curtain, grabbing a pillow, and climbing under the bed, you read the diary. Entry to entry, you consumed the thoughts of your former self, your heart growing more confused as you began to remember. By the time you finished, Claudia and Louis became silent while the sun was peeking into the room.
Slamming the book shut, your mind ran wild, questioning everything you thought youâd known. Your nails digging into the floor. Feeling the bloody tear slip down your eye, you quickly wiped it, as a you heard a soft knock.
âY/n? Y/n?â Your mother called out, a bit of panic in her voice.
âIâm under here,â you called out, waving from under the bed.
Lifting her dress, she moved to the floor, her eyes widening seeing you.
âWhat are you doing under here, honey?â She asked.
âIâŠI recently was diagnosed with a disease, my skin doesnât react well in the sun anymore, burning, irritation, the doctor says I should avoid it altogether,â you said, almost feeling guilty for lying, hearing how much it saddened her thoughts.
âI see, give me a few hours and Iâll make sure things are more comfortable around here, you try to get some sleep, love youâ
âI love you too,â you said, watching as she left the room.
âY/n, please tell me you are okay, we canât sleepâ you heard Louisâs voice.
âI am fineâ
âWhere are you?â
âThat is none of any of your concernsâ
âDonât be like that, what's the matter-
You shut your eyes, blocking out Louisâ voice, taking deep breaths, you thought about the words from the diary, as the sleep passed over you.
âMama and daddy have been arguing as of lately. Iâm 25 with no boyfriend or engagement, still living with them. Daddy doesnât see a problem with it, I have more time to find the perfect husband he argues, while Mama thinks Iâm not even looking. I havenât been, but thatâs because as special as New Orleans is, no one seems special enough to catch my attention. Since the issue has come up, Iâve found myself with Carol more. She is trying to find a new husband, a new father for Frankie, since his dad died in the Navyâ
âAll of the bachelors come here, you just might find yourself a treat,â Carol giggled, as the two of you sat at the table. The fancy restaurant in the French Quarter wasnât too interesting to you. You were already wealthy, and guaranteed quite the inheritance, while all of the women stood around, almost looking as if they were waiting on their lottery ticket.
âDo you ever wonder if there is more to life, than New Orleans?â You asked her boredly, as she made eye contact with the banker, waving at him.
âI ainât got time to think about that Y/n, Iâm 24 and already a widow with an infant,â she told you, standing, before walking to the man, sure to sway her hips, reeking of seduction.
Now alone, you sipped your wine, leaning back in your seat. The few men who looked your way eventually backed away, as you kept a scowl on your face.
âIf you keep your face like that, it might get stuck,â you heard, making you turn to face the crĂšole man.
âIf only I could see the appeal of this restaurant, then I wouldnât frown,â you told him, as he sat down.
âI agree, everything is so tasteless and looks so-
âCheap,â you and the blonde-haired man said at the same time, making you smile.
âIâm Y/n,â you held out your hand.
âLouis de Pointe du Lac,â he accepted your hand, his thumb brushing against your knuckles.
âAnd you, do you have a name?â
âLestat De Lioncourt,â he said, taking your hand from Louis, kissing your knuckles.
âWould you like to get out of here?â Louis started.
âSorry boys, I hope you didnât think I was that easy,â you pouted, laughing as Carol approached.
âYou ready to go?â You asked, seeing the look of disappointment on her face.
âYeah,â she said, crossing her arms.
âIt was wonderful to meet you both, goodbyeâ, you told them, standing up, and walking with Carol back to the car. Looking back, your eyes met theirs once more before you were on your way.
âLestat and Louis, there had been plenty of rumors that the two were lovers, even I was sure they were. However, they continued to reach out, inviting me to spend time with them. Carolâs friend, Lucy, thinks they might be competing to win my hand in marriage, but I think itâs far from that.â
âMr. De Lioncourt hasnât taken his eyes off of you all night,â Lucy bumped your shoulder, as you stood amongst the women. You were trying to not be âshamelessâ keeping your contact with Lestat and Louis to a minimum. However, their eyes had been glued on you from the moment you entered the party, and they werenât even hiding it.
âDonât flatter yourself,â one of the women rolled her eyes, perking up, as they approached.
âMa chĂšrie, you never responded to our letter,â Lestat told you, as you stared at the two of them surprised but confused.
âWith your flowers,â Louis said, as you gasped.
âOh, Iâm sorry, I didnât even notice a note with them, they are in my room, Iâll look when Iâm homeâ
âPlease do, weâre dying to know your response,â he told you, slinging his arm around Louis as they walked away. All of the women frowning in jealousy, while Carol laughed at them.
âThey are together, Lestat and Louis are together, but they like the idea of sharing? After a night of passion, I think itâs best that I stay away from the fabulously handsome men. I could never explain what happened to anyone without being judged, and so I will keep it to myself. They have been trying to reach out, but I am throwing every letter away. I hope they can understand.â
âIâm assuming youâre not a party girl?â Louis asked you, making you jump, swiftly turning around.
âThis kind of party isnât my thing, all of these people, hoping to get on my fatherâs good side, it's pathetic,â you crossed your arms, as he approached.
âHow did you find where I was?â You asked him, tilting your head. You were hidden in your motherâs miniature hedge maze, sure no one would find you.
âI followed your scent, you always smell nice,â he grinned, while you rocked back and forth on your heels.
âYou shouldnât have followed me, what if I was a monster? luring you away from everyone,â you smirked at him.
âTrust me, you wouldnât be the monsterâ
âWhy do you think that?â You squinted at him, making him laugh.
âYouâre too cute, too precious, you should be more careful, you couldâve been being followed by a big bad wolf,â he taunted.
âI can defend myself perfectly fineâ
âIs that right?â
âOf course,â you smiled, watching as he leaned forward, his lips pressing against your own. Wrapping his arm around your waist, you moaned, before he pulled away.
Gasping, you noticed Lestat standing only feet away. Taking his usual confident strides, he stopped in front of Louis, the two sharing a passionate kiss. As the kiss broke off, he walked around to you, his hand softly going to the back of your neck, before he pulled you into a kiss.
âBe our companionâŠâ
âOurâs aloneâŠâ
âOk,â you agreed, not understanding at the time, the situation you'd put yourself in.
Standing in front and behind you, they took turns, kissing from your neck to mouth, slowly removing the articles of clothing. By the time you were finished, they laid in the grass, smiling, praising you, while you hurriedly dressed.
âI have to go,â you told them, running away, your hand going to your neck, where a bite mark resided.
âMy intuition was wrong about the two, Lestat and Louis are dangerous. Lestat seemed possessive, he didnât like the idea of me entertaining another man besides him or Louis. But Louis, he seemed convinced I was perfect with the two of them, they both just seemed delusional. I recently caught the pneumonia virus and Iâm trying to heal, and get over the fact that I was sick for my birthday but their constant sending of gifts isnât making me feel any better.â
âY/n, honey,â your mother called out, making you open your eyes.
âYes?â
âIt is safe to come out,â she said, as you slowly made your way out, noticing the windows covered by a board.
Leading you down the stairs, you felt uncomfortable seeing your siblings stare at you like an animal in zoo.
âMama told us about your skin condition, Iâm sorry, I-we can have the engagement at night,â Joseph offered.
âI couldnât do that to you-
âIt would be a pleasure, I want you there, and Sarah wonât mind, sheâll be here tomorrowâ
âThen Iâd love that,â you smiled, nodding.
âWonderful, I have something you can wear,â your mother clapped.
âI was hoping I could talk to you, about something,â you told your mother, as she sat on the sofa.
âOkay, whatâs on your mind?â
âDo you remember when I was sick, with the pneumonia?â
âYesâ
âWhen I was staying in the hospital-
âHospital? You didnât stay in a hospital, you were in your room. We were so worried, when you first caught it, but your body fought hard, you were better in no time,â she said, her hand on her heart.
âHow long was I here before I left, for New York? Reading the diary has my brain a little foggy,â you told her.
âOnly a few days after, I believe, before you left your letter,â she said, looking away at the memory.
âIâm sorry,â you apologized, trying to remember what happened. The fuzzy memory slightly coming back.
âItâs okay, honey, youâre here now,â she waved.
Sitting up in bed, pillows propped up behind you, you listened to the vinyl jazz music. Playing low in the room you hummed lightly. Everyone had left the previous day, going to see relatives, but you were still too sick to go. Although you were already feeling better, no longer bed-bound with a nasty fever. Hearing the sound of the front door opening, your ears perked up, as you climbed out of the bed. Stopping the music, you slowly tiptoed out of the room, stopping at the top of the stairs
âMa chĂšrie, it isnât nice to ignore people who care about you,â Lestat said from the bottom of the stairs.
Shaking your head, you went to run, bumping into Louis. Who also, didnât look too happy, backing down the stairs, you froze, seeing Lestat slowly walk up to you. You were trapped, dropping to your knees, you shielded yourself.
âPlease,â you covered your face, gasping in confusion as you were lifted, carefully brought to the sofa in the living room.
âYou havenât seen any of our letters?â Louis asked angrily before Lestat spoke.
âYou ignored us out of society-inflicted shame,â Lestat started.
âNo, it was nothing more than casual sex,â you said before he squished your cheeks together.
âIf you werenât so afraid of being judged by society, would you continue to deny yourself the pleasures you deserve?â Lestat asked, sitting next to you.
âOne of you bit me, I donât think I want either of you,â you told him as he chuckled before you noticed his abnormally sharp teeth. Fangs.
âShe doesn't want us, hear that Louis, weâre being rejected by our companion,â Lestat laughed loudly, as Louis stared at you as if you had two heads.
Suddenly, the front door opened, and your parents and your younger siblings entered the house. Doing a double take, your father frowned.
âWhat's going on in here?â
âNothing Daddy, we're just talking,â you stood up, moving in between him and the two peculiar men. Looking at them, you noticed the fangs in Louis's mouth.
âI don't think so, you two boys need to leave my house,â he said, the look on their faces showed they were highly offended at the choice of words.
âI am no boy, I am much older than youâŠâ Lestat stood up.
âDon't hurt them,â you told them, your eyes going from Louis to Lestat.
âPerhaps we can get to an agreement, they are spared, in exchange for your companionship,â Lestat offered. You searched for his face, trying to see if he was serious, while he stood, waiting on your response.
âFine,â you sighed, watching as Louis approached your family, putting them into a trance.
âYou came home and went straight to bed, Y/n was feeling better and decided to spend time with some friends tonight-
âYou should grab your things, ma chĂ©rie, and don't worry, that shame and fear instilled into you will be no more in a short while,â he told you, ushering you to go upstairs, while Louis made up a story to your family.
By the time you finished packing, they were gone, only Louis and Lestat waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs. Not saying a word, you followed them to the car, trying to let the realization sink in, but it still all seemed surreal.
Entering their home you nervously followed them, into the bedroom.
âYou can meet Claudia later,â Louis said, as they stared at you.
âYour daughter?â
âOur daughter,â he corrected you, but nodded.
âOkâ
âY/n, the love that weâve grown for you, itâs inhumanly, meant to be shared for an eternity, we can give you that,â Louis told you.
âYouâre scared, I can make sure you donât feel any pain, I can give you a piece of everlasting life. None of the things you have in this life hold any value to you, but I can give you something you will cherish,â Lestat told you.
âChoose us and weâll choose you for the rest of eternity,â Louis said, before you hesitatingly nodded.
âYou wonât be in pain for long,â Lestat told you, before he pulled you close, biting into your neck. Falling limb in his arms, he laid you on the bed, cutting his wrist, feeding his blood to you.
Shortly after, your body felt like it was on fire, your vision blurry. The two men stood over you, talking, Louis asking for a favor and Lestat debating on if he wanted to give in.
âDo it, before itâs too late, please,â he said, before Lestat looked at him, nodding, and facing you.
âLook at me, ma chĂšrie, you used to be a waitress at a barâŠwe were frequent customers when you met usâŠ.â As Lestat told you the fabricated story, he made sure to completely conceal your memory of your mortal life, as Louis requested.
As the memory came to mind your hands went to your eyes, trying to stop the bloody tears from leaking. The memory that changed the way that you viewed your maker and companions.
âAre you alright dear?â your mother asked, worried.
âI'm fine, mama, just happy to be home,â you told her, making her smile.
âAwe, honey, I'm glad that you are home, we all are,â she gushed, pulling you into a firm hug, before continuing with her conversation with your sibling.
âY/nâ Louis called out to you.
âExcuse me,â you said, getting up, going to the bathroom.
âLeave me alone, pleaseâ you told him.
âWhere is this coming from?â
âI just need this time away, itâs just me timeâ you told him, staring at your reflection.
âY/n, are you coming home?â You heard Claudia.
âEventuallyâ
âAlright, love youâ
âLove you tooâ you told her, before leaving the bathroom.
âY/n, I just wanted to apologize for my outburst last night. What you do in your private life is your business, and Iâm happy youâre home,â your father said, nervously, as you came back into the living room. Smiling, you didnât say anything, approaching him, pulling him into a hug.
As night fell, everyone turning in for bed, you went to the backyard, thankful to find a few rodents to feed on. With your hunger satisfied, you went to your room. Sitting at the desk, you ripping a piece of paper from the diary, grabbing an envelope from the drawer.
âI donât think this companionship will work out anymore. Lie after lie, neither of you have been honest or truthful with me. I thought relationships were built and thrived on trust. Not ours, a big lie to feed both of your delusional obsessions. Stay away from me. I will be leaving New Orleans soon, probably headed back to New Yorkâ you wrote, placing a stamp on the envelope.
âHey,â you called out, as you went outside stopping the teenage boy on his bike.
âBring this to Lestat De Lioncourt, his address is 1132 Royal Street,â you hypnotized the boy.
âBut thatâs all the way in the French Quarter,â he said in a monotone voice.
âI know, you will go right before the sun rises and it is okay because you were paid to do this,â you told him, watching as he smiled.
âYouâre right,â he nodded, accepting the letter, before taking the money in his other hand, stuffing it into his pocket.
âGo on now, itâs getting late,â you told him, as he nodded, riding home to his house as you went inside.
âY/n, you okay, darling?â Your father stood at the top of the stares.
âIâm ok, daddy,â you smiled, going upstairs to your bedroom.
Just as the sun began to rise, the young boy peddled his bike, careful to stay out of the way of any cars. For a second he wished his dad could have driven him, the 30 minutes bike ride would have been much shorter in a car.
Finally, he arrived, panting, he approached the townhouse. Opening the gate, he approached the door. Knocking softly, before speaking.
âMail for Lestat De Lioncourt,â he said, pushing the letter through the mail slot, before he left to peddle home.
Still wide awake, Lestat stood from his piano, approaching the door, stopping. He watched at the young hand slipped in, the letter floating to the floor, before the sound of the footsteps became distant.
Reading the letter, he felt a series of emotions, sadness, rage, disappointment.
âLouis,â he called out, his companion jogged down the stairs in confusion.
âYeah?â
âY/n remembers,â he gulped, as the two looked at each other.
âLooks like weâll have to make a stop tonight,â Louis said, before going back to his coffin.
âYouâre just as beautiful as Joseph said you were,â you gushed to Sarah. The house was filled with guests, the sun had set not too long ago, and the night was still young.
âOh my, thank you, he talked about you all the time, I never thought Iâd meet you,â she said.
âY/n, come here,â Carol called from the kitchen, before you excused yourself, joining her.
âWhat?â
âMr. Alexandre is asking to see you,â she lightly pushed you in the direction of the living room.
âWho?â
âHeâs one of Daddyâs associates, heâs young, rich, and handsome,â she said.
âAnd why donât you talk to him?â
âHe wants to speak with you and Iâd prefer his brother, I hear heâs a widower,â she whispered, as you turned, walking towards where the man stood, amongst a few other businessmen.
âMiss Y/n,â the man called out, stepping forward.
âMr. Alexandre,â you said, accepting his hand.
âIf I could have a moment with youâŠâ
âYou may,â you said, walking into the hallway with him, near the stairs. You could feel his colleagues staring at the two of you.
âWhat is it?â
âI was hoping I could take you out for dinner, perhaps the steamboat, there is a nice band that plays-
âI am sorry, but no thank you,â you shook your head, about to leave, but he gripped your forearm.
âA little birdy told me that you have a thing going on with the European and crĂšole man in the quarter, I thought they were homo-
âMr. Alexandre, my personal business is none of your concernâ
âThen to have that little girl with them, like sheâs their daughter, itâs twisted. You donât need to get involved with them, tarnishing your reputation,â he said, making you think back to the society-inflicted shame Lestat spoke about.
âDo not speak about my reputation or any of them,â you shoved him, watching as he collided into the wall. A few people gasped, coming to see what was the commotion.
âY/n, what happened?â Your father asked as the front door opened.
Along with a gust of wind Lestat, Louis, and Claudia all walked in, heads turning as everyone murmured about them. All of the eyes were on them and they never looked their way, solely focused on you.
âY/n, why havenât you come home?â Claudia ran to you, pulling you into a hug. You could feel how tense she felt, you frowned at the thought of her being upset.
âIâm sorry,â you told her, closing your eyes and taking in her usually sweet scent.
âY/n,â your mother called out, now standing next to your father, a confused expression in place.
Before you could say anything, Lestat turned her way, gasping, you stepped up, when he turned facing you. Immediately you stopped, your eyes going down, while he moved closer.
âMadame,â he held out his hand, accepting hers, before placing a soft kiss on it.
âGet away from my wife,â your father said, taking her hand back.
âSo you was gonna leave home?â Louis asked you, taking off his glasses.
âYou lied to me, both of you did,â you told him.
âLouis, what is she talking about?â
âNothing, go wait outside Claudiaâ
âLouis-
âItâs okay, go wait outside,â you told her, watching as she walked away, bumping the shoulder of a few guests, scaring them.
âYouâŠboth of you, did this to me, and for what? to satisfy your fantasies-
âTo save you, you donât belong with these people, their rules and principles, your nature goes against all of it. You could have never been happy with the way they wanted you to become,â Lestat told you.
âY/n, itâs not safe to be around any of them, how long do you think youâll be able to resist your urges, itâs best to leave them where theyâre at,â Louis told you.
âIs this the brainwash they both feed you, two queer men trying to destroy and isolate everything youâve known. I wouldnât burden you with such ideologies,â Mr. Alexandre said, standing up, limping off the pain.
âAnd what are those ideologies, you speak of?â The tension thickened in the room as Lestat was in front of him within a flash.
âI-I-â he began to stutter.
âThese ideologies include being unapologetic even if it goes against society, not putting limitations on yourself, and redefining what family is. None of these things you know anything of because you think Y/n is as brainless as the rest of these women,â Lestat said before roughly grabbing his jaw.
âYou could learn a thing or two before you let your mouth run so loosely,â he said, shoving him, watching as he collided with the wall, breaking through the wallpaper.
âNow you-
Lestat raised his hand, freezing everyone in the room, as your father began to yell.
âYour memory was wiped away, but everything has been real. Our love, Claudiaâs love, nothing was forced. These people have caused you nothing but anxiety and shame, but if you want to throw us away, for them, I wonât stop you,â Lestat screamed, storming away, as the bloody tear slipped from his eyes.
âI thought I could balance both lives, it isnât possible,â Louis told you, as you kept your head down.
âIs it possible to take away their memory, I wonât kill them, if they could just go on with their lives like before I was here,â you asked, while he immediately nodded.
Lestat had been right about so many things, how different you were, the restrictions you felt in your previous life. You werenât ready to be on your own, you still needed your family. Perhaps it was better for you to not have been aware of the truth, to begin with.
âThat can be arranged,â he said, motioning for you to go outside with Claudia. Stopping in front of your mother, you kissed her cheek, before leaving the house.
Getting into the backseat of the car with Claudia, she intertwined her fingers with your own. Lestat didnât say a word to you, walking back into the house, as everyone unfroze.
After nearly 15 long minutes, the two left the house. You could see the party continuing, Carol could be seen with a small boy in her arms, accepting him from an older woman. The entire ride home was painfully quiet. The faint music from the locals could be heard as the house came more into view.
Claudia went to her room, while you meekly followed the two to your shared room. Stepping out of their clothing, they were preparing for rest, when you stopped.
âLestat, I-please make me forget again,â you asked, making them look at each other, before staring at you.
âAfter all of this-
Moving to your knees, you crawled to him, prepared to beg to him, as if he was your god. Raising his eyebrow, even he looked surprised by your actions.
âPlease make me forget, and we can go back to how we were,â you told him. Reaching for his hand, your head laid upon it, begging for your wish to be granted.
âStand up, ma chĂšrieâ
âHow was the hunt?â Louis asked as you and Claudia both entered the house.
âWonderful,â you laughed, plopping next to him. Lestat sat at his piano, idly pressing the keys that still managed to sound effortless.
âWhat are you doing?â You asked Louis, leaning your head on his shoulder.
âCatching up on the paper, gorgeous,â he smiled, flipping the newspaper.
Your eyes widened at the image of the article, L/n Sugar Mill family home is burned down, leaving no survivors after an extravagant engagement party.
âWow, and that was such a nice house,â you said, pointing out the picture, before picking up a nearby book.
âIt was,â Louis agreed lowly, the trio briefly making eye contact.
With your memory wiped once again, the last thing any of them wanted was another situation that could cause you to want to break away from them. No one could ever come close to loving you like the three and they made sure there was no would who would awaken your memories, tearing you away from your little family.
this may or may not be deleted later âŠ

hi! I just wanted to say I think your writing is so good and you seem like a lovely person đ„° Iâm hoping to request a post prison Spencer smut. Basically itâs when heâs just been released and heâs so touch starved and possessive over you? Iâm such a sucker for prison Reid I canât đ
A/N: Nothing hotter than a man who looks like he has been through hell, and dear GOD, is post-Prison Spencer DELECTABLE. Thank you for your request!
Warnings: 18+, minors dni. Penetrative sex, creampie, slight dom/sub themes, use of pet names, spoilers for s12 of Criminal Minds, mentions of prison, mentions of blood/ wounds and injuries sustained in prison.
The seconds ticked down as you waited for the key to be pushed into the lock, the door to swing open and for your life to be put back together. 84 days and you were on edge, almost three months without him.
Your leg shook as you waited, heard the footsteps coming up the hall. You stood, wiping the sweat off your hands and taking a deep breath.
You hadn't been allowed to visit Spencer in prison, his teammates taking priority as they worked to keep him safe, to get him out. You hadn't seen him in three months, though you'd moved yourself into his house to be able to wrap yourself in his scent, haunt yourself with his presence.
He wasn't a ghost anymore, as he opened the door and you found your eyes on Spencer Reid for the first time in too long.
âSpencer,â you voice was pathetically small, as if you didn't trust him to be real anymore. You supposed that was probably justified. Your entire body was on edge as you looked him up and down.
Before, he'd keep himself clean shaved, but you found yourself greatly appreciative of the stubble framing his face. He'd never been the best at taking care of his hair, and now it looked perfectly ready for you to run your hands through. His clothes were still messy and by god did you want to grab the lapels of his jacket and pull him back into you.
âYou're still here,â his voice was nearly as weak as your own, as if he'd not used it for nearly as much as it should've been used. âI know they said you were but⊠god I'm so happy you're still here.â
He took a step closer to you and pulled you towards him. You weren't used to Spencer initiating physical contact like this, his hands strong and certain on your hips as he grabbed you, one hand coming up to the back of your head to cradle it and push you further into him.
You melted into the touch, finally feeling warm after the coldest spring of your life.
âYou can't get rid of me that easily, Spencer.â
âGood,â he said, tilting your head up and not hesitating even one beat before he pushed his lips against yours. His grip was hot as you let out a soft moan into his mouth, taken aback by his sudden affection.
Before prison, you'd been quietly intimate. A soft kiss here and there, and some awkward and tender sex. While you didn't mind your earlier boundaries, you certainly weren't mourning them now, gripping his shirt tighter as his tongue began exploring you. You'd been happy just to be in his presence before, but now you needed to be so close that you could no longer find where his body stopped and yours started.
When you lifted your leg, he instantly took your hint and pulled you up, holding you in his arms as you wrapped your legs around his waist.
Not breaking from your kiss for longer than a breath, he dropped everything to carry you back to the bedroom.
â84 days.â You gasped between kisses as he dropped you on the bed, falling down with you as he moved his attention to your neck, your chest, your bared throat.
A growl was all the reply he had to that, knowing instantly what you were talking about, but needing to feel you more, to pull comfort from the warmth of your body.
â84 days and I thought with each of them that I would never do it again. You're never leaving me again, I wouldn't survive. I'd refuse.â
â84 days, 7 hours, 23 minutes. Every lone moment thinking about this and you, and being here again,â he said, pulling back again to stare directly at your bared soul.
âI need to feel you now, Y/N. Please, be a good girl and let me.â
If you could will your own clothes away, you would've at that moment, already aware of the mounting pleasure pooling between your legs.
Instead, Spencer handled it for you, tearing where he couldn't unbutton fast enough, divesting you of shirt and skirt and beginning to work your underwear slowly down your legs. At the same time, you pushed yourself up, scrambling to unbutton his own shirt, moaning in frustration as you struggled to get it pushed off his shoulders.
âSpencer, clothes off, now,â you begged, and he finally paused for a second.
âI'm different. Not a lot, but there are someâŠwounds. Don't be alarmed.â
âSpencer, if you think a few cuts and bruises are going to dampen the absolute desire I have burning for you, you are dumber than I thought.â Taking his momentary surprise to your advantage, you pushed him up and straddled his lap, sitting together with him as you rid him of his clothes.
You traced hands over every ridge of his skin, trying to document every change and appreciate every line. Tracing your way downward, you let your hand disappear into his lap as you looked up at him again, catching his eye as your fingers unbuttoned his pants.
His hand stroked lazily across your cunt but his eyes locked with yours and you found yourself aching with a need for him.
Before, he'd been thorough about foreplay, making sure you were absolutely ready for him, ensuring your pleasure and bringing you to climax before he even palmed himself through his pants.
It was generous, and everything you didn't want right now. You needed him to get everything he'd missed, needed to see him relaxed, pleasured, sunk deep inside of you and losing himself with each stroke.
You softly pressed a kiss to his lips, releasing him from his pants. A few strokes was enough to have him at full mast, and in another moment you were pushing yourself up on your knees and sinking back down.
Three months and you'd almost forgotten how perfectly he filled you, steadying yourself with hands on his shoulders as you bit back a whorish moan.
âGood girl, just like I rememberâŠâ his words came out slurred, as of he were drunk on the feeling of you, intoxicated as you began rocking your hips up and down his length.
âI'm better than you remembered,â you mumbled, stroking the small soft curls at the base of his neck. It was ridiculous being jealous of your past self, but god did you want to grab the you of January and shake her within an inch of her life.
You'd tell her to grab Spencer Reid and never let him go, to make him spend his entire life filling you up, to pleasure him until he hadn't a single thought of going anywhere.
You kept up your pace, riding him at an even pace, making sure to lower yourself down as far as you could manage without becoming a moaning mess, but soon the pleasure became overwhelming.
Spencer kept one hand working over your clit, and you had to resist falling apart in his hands, determined to pleasure him before you thought of taking that same ecstasy for yourself.
âIt's okay, Y/N, you can let go. I know how long you've waited for this,â his words were soft but his tone was demanding, ordering you to cum on his cock. He lifted his hips slightly, grabbing your hips in his hand as he took charge of the pace and strength of your thrusts, going harder and faster than you'd been able to manage.
You loathed to give up control, bit your body betrayed you, thighs shaking as you gave into his wishes, cumt clenching around him as you rode out your orgasm.
âThat's it, nice and tight for me.â He grunted the words into your ear as he really took control. Tipping you until you were again flat on your back, he lifted his hips up and let his pace speed up, rutting into you deeply as he breathed in your scent, head buried in your hair, arms tight around your waist.
You moaned for him, knowing he loved every sound that passed your lips, knowing that he craved the knowledge of your pleasure.
He, too, didn't hold back. His voice filled your ear, filling your brain with every fantasy, every memory of you that had kept him alive for 84 days of hell.
Each story was lustier than the last, your mouth dropping open in a moan as you, too, imagined him in each of the scenarios he'd spent time on in prison.
You across his desk, his head between your legs in the morning, you in his cell, him inside you in public, the red scratches your nails dragged against his skin that had been commented on in the showers.
You'd guided his through 84 days of hell, and you were finally embracing him on the other side.
âY/N, I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna- shit.â
To your surprise, he didn't pull out as he usually would, but instead slammed himself deeper as he began releasing string after string of his sperm into you.
âShit. I'm sorry I should've asked if that wasâŠâ
âI don't care. Just next time, make sure you do that again.â The feeling of his cum inside you was enough to push your body over the edge once again, and you panted as the aftershocks continued milking his cock.
âI missed you.â He whispered, pushing a few stray hairs behind your ear as he stared at you with all the love in the world.
âI missed you more.â You whispered back, and you meant it.

Papa lll's special kung fu
After watching a lot of Terzo footage, I've noticed his amazing talent for turning disadvantages into advantages. And here's what I mean.
âž If you love Third Era acoustic performances as much as I do, you've probably noticed that very often things went wrong on them. Tangled wires, dropped sound, wrong mic height, forgotten song lyrics đ
Every time something like that happened, Terzo amused the audience while the problem was fixed, and now we remember those moments as the most touching. He didn't hide the problem, he made fun of it.
âž Philadelphia Incident, 2015. Pope Francis arrives in town at the same time as Ghost and makes it so they have to cancel the concert. At the next show, Terzo praises the audience for their support and says he is by far the second greatest pope in the world. He says ânumber twoâ in such a voice that you absolutely believe that being number two is the coolest and sexiest thing in the world.
âž March 28th 2017. Papa falls off the stage into the pit and immediately uses this as an opportunity to approach the crowd and hold their hands. Papa, fall more often. Your ass looks really fine.
âž He almost falls again, but pretends it was part of a dance move.
âž The legendary hole in the shoe is the result of his ability to turn problems into advantages. Anyone else in his place would have thought, âDamn, my shoe's worn out, now I need a new one. I've got to change it without anyone noticing.â But Terzo thinks about turning it into an event and makes it iconic. Sometimes I think he could be a successful businessman with the most creative ideas. One of those people who can make a fortune from used cans.
âž How to resolve situation if you passed out during a concert? That's right, compliment the ladies who are so beautiful that you fainted, and make their hearts melt.
Now let's dig a level deeper.
Radley and I have already written quite a bit about the theme of loneliness in Terzo's monologues. It all boils down to the fact that, according to Papa, ghosts can be pretty good company if you're lonely. Here are a couple of telling quotes:
We can't always get what we want. You know that, huh? But one thing that can keep you company in a lonely hour⊠are the ghosts inside. Let them be your friend rather than your enemy. It's that darkness that sometimes makes the person, eh?
Lawrence, Kansas, USA (October 5, 2015)
And
You have a lot of things in your life, huh? We all crave so many things. If we list⊠in order to feel as if⊠we all get all these things and then everything will feel better. Ain't that right? I am exactly the same. But I do know one thing⊠is that if you have the spirits and the demons inside you that causes a little⊠wreckage. That can be to your favor. Believe me. An empty shell is nothing, so...
Chicago, Illinois, USA (October 3, 2015)
Usually ghosts are associated with something scary, or they're a metaphor for memories of people you've lost. It sounds like Terzo was able to âwin them overâ to his side, make them his allies in a lonely hour, turn them from tormentors to trusted companions. Sounds like a profound reinterpretation of the experience of unhappiness. Someday I'll learn to do the same.
A phrase from the classic comes to mind, You have to make the good out of the bad because that is all you have got to make it out of. Maybe Terzo would argue with the second part, but would agree with the first.

OMG. Hiiii. I love Tom Riddle and Theodore Nott. So I am totally going to ask you if you are comfortable to write either Professor Tom or a Professor Theo x fem reader fic with smut. Feel free to ignore this but I really struggle to find Professor Tom fics and Idk how to write them đ
Professor Tom Riddle x f!reader
Warnings: strong language, toxic behaviour, manipulation, SMUT reader is a student in the beginning (still over 18!), reader becomes a little bit unhinged towards the middle (who wouldn't after meeting TR?) 18+MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
Author's Note: Wow, this took me ages to post! I was having a break from this blog due to my exams, but I promise I will be more active from now on. Also, this is actually my first smut! (Idk how to write them either, so I do hope you like it.) I tried to build some plot into it, so it is not just filthy p*rn, haha. Thank you so much for your request! <3
There are moments that change your life. Moments when you realise you will never be the same and your whole existence is divided into two parts - before this, and after this.
For you, this moment was meeting Tom Riddle.
The memories of that rainy day when your gazes crossed for the first time continue to haunt your thoughts almost every second of your existence. And no matter how hard you try to forget, they become more and more vivid. Sometimes you wonder if you are actually reliving it or if it is just a fruit of your imagination.
The rain was so cold that day, that your whole body was shivering under your soaking clothes. You were running across the courtyard, trying to get inside as soon as possible. Both of your hands were clutching your bag on top of your head, trying to prevent the water from getting into your eyes. You were almost at the door when your body collided with someone, and you lost your balance falling into a muddy puddle.
You looked up, ready to give a piece of your mind to whoever made you end up like this, but your words got stuck in your throat the moment your gaze crossed his.
Eyes as dark as the night. Skin as pale as the moonlight. Hair falling in elegant curls on top of the most beautiful face you have ever seen. He silently offered you his hand, before he took off his jacket and wrap it around your trembling figure.
"Are you alright?", he asked. His voice was smooth like honey, yet deep. You couldn't do anything else other than slowly nod before your cheeks turned a light shade of red. He offered you a small smirk, before guiding you inside the castle. No words were exchanged between you after that.
Looking back, you are sure that this was the moment that changed your life.
You didn't know who he was at first. He looked so young, that it was natural to assume he was your age. You have not seen him before, so he must be a transfer student, just like you were a year ago. "He did not wear a robe, so he must not been sorted yet", you said to your friends later that day and they just shook their heads. No one has heard of any transferring students this year, yet here you were claiming you have seen in the flesh the man of your dreams.
And you were almost convinced you were dreaming a few days later when you found yourself sitting in the back of the class, while he was neatly writing his name on the black board.
Professor Riddle.
"As your new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, I would like to establish a few ground rules right now", his voice was calm but dominant, "Always come prepared. I do not tolerate lazy students. No talking during class. No questions during lessons. If there is anything you do not understand, you can either conduct your own research in the library or visit one of my additional sessions every third Friday of the month."
Unlike you, the majority of the students have already heard of Tom and some even knew him personally, as he graduated just a few years ago. They carefully listened to all his rules, noting everything they should do to stay on his good side. No matter the house, the respect and fear felt towards Tom was felt by all students. You would lie if you said that this did not include you.
Yet in two weeks time during his first Friday session, you found yourself leaning over your notebook, while Tom was calmly explaining the lesson material to you. You were nodding your head, not paying even a little bit of attention to what he was saying. All you could focus on was the sound of his voice and the tingles that covered your whole body every time he lifted his eyes to your face, checking if were actually following.
"I am curious, miss, for the real purpose of your visit today", he said once you started packing your bag. You immediately froze in place, cold sweat forming on the back of your neck. Your trembling hands closed your bag before you turned to him with a tight-lipped smile.
"I am not sure I understand what you mean, professor."
He offered you a small smile, before grabbing his coat and briefcase and making his way towards you. Stopping just a step away from you, he lifted his hands toward your neck, making you gulp. You stood still, expecting him to wrap his hand around your throat, while his eyes burned into yours. His long fingers inched closer and closer to your skin, before wrapping around your tie and adjusting it so it could be centred.
"I am a patient and understanding man, miss", he said, his hand resting on the piece of cloth for a few more seconds, before moving away, "But I am no fool."
And you knew his words to be true. Because if there was a fool here, that was you. You knew it was wrong to pursue the foolish feelings that started to blossom in your chest. Despite the age difference being only a few years, falling for a professor was never a good idea. But how could you stop yourself when every time his eyes laid upon you there was a feeling of longing behind them? The small touches on your arms, every time he tried to explain to you the parts of the textbook you claimed "not to understand", the way his lips curved in a small smirk every time you volunteered to help during demonstrations in class, the way his gaze darkened that time he saw your friend's arms wrapped around your shoulders during dinner...
He may have thought he was subtle, but you knew there was some part of him that desired you as much as you did.
"What do you think of me, professor?", you asked one day, while sitting on the desk, arranging papers. As you were the only student who showed any interest in DADA sessions outside the scheduled classes, Tom moved the Friday meetings to his private office. They also started to happen every week, rather than once per month. And often, you were helping him with work, rather the other way around. "Why?", his gaze lifted from the papers he was grading, eyebrows furrowing in suspicion. He laid his pen down, crossing his arms in front of his chest and resting his body back on his chair. You sat next to him on a smaller wooden chair, but your hands did not stop arranging the graded exams, and neither did your focus move from them.
"I am...", you took a deep breath, thinking how to phrase your explanation, "Curious, I guess."
Tom watched you with interest, noting the way that your voice trembled in the beginning. Looking up at your face, his eyes trailed every single one of your features, before stopping at your lips.
"You are a good student", he finally said, his tone flat. Your shoulders immediately slumped and you let out a quiet "Oh.", your fingers now pressing the tower of papers on its sides to make sure it is stable. The silence between you grew longer as you tried your best to hide the disappointment you felt from his answer. Tom, on the other hand, was still staring at your face, trying to read your emotions based on your pursed lips and furrowed brows.
"All finished. I think it is better if I go", you finally said, unable to sit in his presence anymore. You stood up, ready to grab your bag from the floor, when cold fingers wrapped themselves around your wrist halting you in place. Tom stood up from his chair, moving behind you. Laying his free hand on the side of your waist, he leaned towards you, nose just a few inches from your hair. He took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet scent of your perfume, and let out a low groan.
"What I really think...", he murmured, the fingers on your waist digging into your flesh, "is not something I shall voice out loud. The thoughts that flood my mind every time I see you are too..."
Your breath hitched.
"Too?"
"Sinful", you felt his breath on the back of your ear and your body involuntarily shivered. Before you could think of an answer, his hands left your body and he took a step back. You turned around, eager to close the distance again, but were stopped by him grabbing your shoulder and gently pushing you away.
"Do not", he warned, "do not make this harder for both of us."
"But I-"
"I think it is best if you leave."
You gulped. And the first time your eyes did not cast down in shame - instead you held his gaze, your expression hardening.
"You cannot do this to me", your voice trembled, "Toying with my feelings , then pushing me away."
He raised his brow and his hand fell from your shoulder. You stood in place, not making any attempts to get closer.
"I did not do such thing", his voice sounded low and dark, his eyes suddenly turning colder, "In fact, I am telling you now... Whatever hope you hold in your heart about anything happening between us, you should kill it now."
"But you said-"
"I know what I said", he interrupted you impatiently, "And I mean it. But whatever affection I have towards you does not change the fact you are my student."
Your fingers wrapped around the edge of your skirt and you clenched your jaw, moving your gaze towards the door. The rational part of your brain was telling you to just grab your bag and dash through the door. The other part, the one led by your heart, was screaming at you to stay and confront him. It did not take you long to decide which one to listen to.
"Why does it matter?", you snapped, "I am an adult already. And you are only a few years older. It is not illegal or anything!"
Tom let out an annoyed sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose, before running his fingers through his dark curls. He turned around and walked around the desk, before slamming his hands on the hard surface.
"Merlin, you just do not understand!", his voice was full with irritation, "I can not lose my job. I can not lose everything I have worked for!"
"We can hide it", you protested, gluing yourself to his side and gripping his bicep, "Only for a few months! Only till I graduate!"
The man tore your hands away from his arm, cupping them in his palms instead. He tilted his head, searching your eyes, which were now starting to form tears of stress and frustration.
His face suddenly relaxed. The air between you felt lighter and a new spark of hope started to burn inside of you. His finger made its way to your cheek and wiped one of the tears that started to trail down your skin.
"Is it not curious, how weak love makes a man?", his finger trailed down to your jaw, before cupping it, "And no spell in this world is strong enough to save a man that has already fallen."
Your head instinctively leaned towards his hand and you closed your eyes, enjoying the feeling of warmth of his skin on yours. If you could only freeze time, you would stay in this moment forever.
"I don't want to be saved", you murmured and despite not being able to see him, you could feel the small smile that grazed his lips once you said it. You freed your hands from his and wrapped them around his torso, burying your head in his chest. It took a few seconds for him to embrace your body, resting his chin on the top of your head.
And if you could only see the satisfied smirk and cold gaze on Tom's face, you would have known how true his words are. There is no spell in this world that could save you not that you have already fallen...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't say exactly when the dream had turned into a nightmare.
Private sessions became everyday afternoon meetings, where you talked about different random topics. Tom never opened up about his past, even his Hogwarts years. On the other hand, he was a good listener and without you realising it, he managed to unravel your whole family history just within a week.
His silent nature did not bother you, however. You finally had someone who listened to you. You slowly started to detach from your friends, excusing your unnatural behaviour on all the extra academic work you were taking. They were worried, but every time they tried to voice their concerns, you rolled your eyes, before running to Tom to tell him about their words. "They are just jealous of you, my dear, " he would always chuckle, gently stroking your cheek, "because you found what they would keep searching for a long, long time."
Soon, he was the only person you really trusted. And he claimed he felt the same.
This is why he couldn't ask anyone else to sneak into the Headmaster's office and get the little leather diary in one of his desk drawers. This is also why you had to find a way to get the books he was interested in from the restricted section without getting caught. This is also why you had to lure the naive fifth-year Hufflepuff into the Chamber of Secrets and leave her there.
There was simply no one else whom he trusted to do these tasks. And you gladly completed each of his requests without question, doing everything in your power to keep him happy.
But soon this was not enough. And once you graduated all the promises he made to you broke into thousand little pieces, which were discarded into thin air.
"I don't need you anymore", his cold voice said, his eyes glued to the papers in front of him, "You can leave. Make sure you close the door."
Without sparing you even a glance, he grabbed the pile of papers and left for class, leaving you to gather your thoughts and pieces of your heart by yourself.
What did you do wrong? Why did he change so suddenly? Was it all a lie?
These questions continued to poison your mind for the next few years, while you tried to rebuild yourself. You did not realise how dependent you were on him, till you were left on your own. The weight of all the unsaid feelings within you was forcing you onto your knees, making you unable to get up and continue with your life.
And this is how two years after your graduation you found your way back to Hogwarts. The place where it all began...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wooden clock on the wall was ticking dangerously close to midnight when Tom finally got to his office. The teacher's gathering has been prolonged unnecessarily due to Dumbledore's ramblings and him finding problems where there are none. The amount of control the young professor has exercised to endure this long meeting has left him completely drained of energy, but he knew he still had to do some research about the Founders' Relics. After so many years he was finally getting close to achieving his goal and he was ready to sacrifice as many nights of sleep as necessary.
He knew something was not right the moment he opened the door. The lights were still off and everything seemed to be in the exact place he left it... but there was just the faintest sound of someone breathing which made him immediately reach for his wand.
"Ah, look who finally came", your giggle reached his ears before he saw you turning on his chair, fingers moving towards the small lamp on his desk, "Terribly rude of you to make me wait this long."
Tom's lips pressed into a thin line and his grip around his wand tightened. He traced his eyes over the visible parts of your body, noting the little changes that had occurred since he last saw you.
Your hair, which was usually neatly combed and put in a bun, was now in a messy braid, the front pieces framing your face. Your lips, which usually curved in a shy smile, were now forming an arrogant, almost sinister smirk. Your eyes, which have always looked up to him full of admiration, were now staring down at him with a glint of insanity.
"Get out", he commanded, striding towards you with his wand pointed towards your head.
Your raised your eyebrows and your mouth shaped an "o" in a mock horror, before you reached for your own wand, pointing it back at him.
"Now that is not a way to welcome your ex-lover, is it?", your eyes squint.
Tom scoffed at your words, stopping at the edge of his desk, before his expression hardened.
"You were never my lover", he stated, his head tilting to the side, "And I thought I was extremely clear when I said last time I saw you that you are not welcome here."
You hummed, eyes moving to the ceiling. Still holding your wand towards him, you relaxed further into his chair, lifting your legs onto his desk. With a curious gaze, you followed the stone patterns of the walls around the room, while scrunching your face in disgust.
"3 years, Tom", you finally said, landing your attention back on him, "3 years you have been here and your office is as bland as it was when you first came here. It brings my mood down, you know? It's so grey!"
"You can leave then", Tom hissed through his teeth, making a few more steps till he stayed right in front of you. The tip of his wand rested under your chin and he pulled it upwards, making you look up, "I am giving you exactly a minute to leave, before I take your life."
A loud giggle left your lips and you pressed your neck further into his wand.
"How generous!"
"45 seconds."
You gently put your own wand back into your pocket, not moving your eyes from his. Tilting your head, your mouth formed a wide smile.
"Okay."
His brows shot in confusion, his jaw clenching. You could see his on the wand became tighter, his knuckles almost white.
"Okay?"
"Do it", you shrug your shoulders, "My ghost will be eager to see how are you going to explain why your new assistant went missing after coming to your office to drop a list of all the students that are going to be in your... our class this year."
Before you know it, his free hand flew to your face and gripped your face. His fingers dig into your jaw, lifting it dangerously close to his face.
"My assistant?", he let out a dry chuckle, "Good try, dear. And a terrible way to waste that minute I gave you."
With lips already starting to form the words of the deadliest spell, his fingers dug deeper into your face, before his eyes landed on the sparkling object in your palms. The unforgivable words quickly died in his throat and he withdrew his wand, stumbling back. Eyes full of anger met yours, who in contrast were sparkling with playfulness.
"How did you get that?", he demanded, reaching towards the object, but you pulled it back, before laying it on your head. Putting your elbows on his desk, you fluttered your eyelashes, smiling brightly.
"Do you think it suits me?"
"Stop playing around."
"You are such a bore", you rolled your eyes, "I went on a holiday to Albania. And I found this gorgeous, gorgeous diadem, which turned out to be Rowena Ravenclaw's. What are the chances?"
Tom seemed unamused by your story, instead twitching his jaw. His eyes stayed glued to the diadem on your head, the reflection of the sapphire on it sparkling in his cold eyes.
"How did you know where it was?", his gaze moved towards you, his hand putting his wand back in his coat. His tall form moved towards you again, this time taking a seat on the empty surface of the desk in front of you. With a smile, you took the diadem out of your head, twirling it between your fingers.
"You don't think you were the only one who managed to charm the famous Helena Ravenclaw, do you?", you raised your eyebrow, moving your tongue across your top lip, "You underestimate the power of women's empathy and love for gossip, Tom."
He let out an airy laugh, running a hand through his thick curls. After two years, he hasn't changed anything about his appearance. His face, his haircut, and even the suits he wore were the exact same ones he already wore when you were a student. You would lie if you said you didn't enjoy it - that meant that the Tom you loved was still somewhere inside of him. Your Tom.
"I'm impressed", he finally said, moving his hands towards his knee and locking his fingers around it. His face dropped into a serious expression once again, "Give it to me."
You tilted your head, pursing your lips. Your eyes moved to the diadem, before landing back on him.
"Oh, I can't do that, Tom", you rested your palm on your chest, looking up at him with doe eyes, "He would be very disappointed if I don't bring it back to him."
Tom took a deep breath, his upper lip twitching.
"He?", he pressed his tongue to the side of his cheek, "Who is "he"?"
You twirled in his chair, pressing the diadem closer to your chest.
"My Lord, of course", you let out a giggle, resting your cheek on your shoulder and closing your eyes. You still managed to see the way Tom's body tensed, however.
"He sent his regards to you", you smiled, standing up, "If you hadn't left me that day, he wouldn't have met me and subsequently learned all about making horcruxes."
The man's eyes immediately darkened and his hand flew towards your wrist, stilling you in place.
"Name."
"Huh?"
"Tell me his name", Tom hissed, his nostrils flaring. You stepped closer to him, noses almost brushing.
"And why would I do that?", you raised your brows, your voice turning into a mocking laugh, "Do you think I would betray him... for you?"
The sudden feeling of his arms wrapping around your waist and pulling you forward made you almost lose your balance and you grabbed his shoulder in reflex to keep you from falling on top of him. Nesting his head in the curve between your neck and shoulder, Tom pressed his lips next to your ear before muttering:
"You, my dear, are a liar", his teeth grazed the end of your earlobe, "And a very bad one."
Your whole body froze and you tried to push yourself away from him, but his arms were holding you firmly in place. Suddenly all the confidence you have displayed in his presence so far melted under the warmth of his touch, and you were left only with the hope you could still lie your way out of this situation.
"I am not lying", you protested with a quickening breath.
Tom lifted his head from your shoulder and rested his forehead on yours instead. His eyes stared deep into your own and his warm breath on your face made your whole body involuntarily tremble.
"I have already told you I am not a fool", one of his hands slid from your waist towards your arm and then hand, where you were still clutching the diadem. His fingers wrapped around it and pulled it out of your grasp with ease. Without looking at it, he placed it on the desk behind his back, before his hand found its way to the top of your head.
"I know you better than you know yourself, my dear", he muttered, his hand gently stroking your hair, "And I know there is no room in your heart for anyone but me. You would not be here otherwise."
He pulled back enough to be able to take a better look at your face. His gaze fell from your half-lidded eyes to your parted lips.
"You are mine. Always were, always will be."
A loud whine escaped your throat before it was swallowed by Tom's mouth on yours. His plump lips were chapped, a result of hours of his teeth sinking into them, trying to hold back all the snarky remarks he had for his fellow colleagues. The rough feeling made your knees buckle and you closed your eyes, relaxing fully in his arms.
Without breaking the kiss, he turned you around and with a swift move of his hand, pushed the diadem and a few books out of the way, before laying you on the cold surface. Your hands found their way into his hair, tugging the soft curls.
A low growl left his lips and he lifted his lips from yours, a trail of saliva connecting them, before it was broken by his fingers cupping your chin.
"This is what you wanted, is it not?", his voice was suddenly deeper and darker, "For me to take you on the same desk I once you graded you."
His words made a loud moan to escape you and your back arched up, seeking nothing more than to be close to him. With a low chuckle, he pressed his palm between your breasts, pushing you flat on the furniture beneath you. You opened your mouth to complain but were quickly silenced once he pushed his index and middle fingers in your mouth, almost making you choke. Fixating your gaze on his, you closed your lips around them and started to suck, making sure to flatten your tongue in the process.
The image before your eyes was something you had dreamt of countless times before - Tom, with his messy curls and parted lips, panting while the fingers of his free hand were skilfully unbuttoning his vest. You did not waste any time in helping him, focusing on shakingly unbuttoning his belt.
"So impatient", he clicked his tongue, withdrawing his fingers from your mouth, so could remove his shirt. Once his torso was in full view, you did not hesitate even a second before you lifted yourself in a sitting position and attached your lips to his neck. Nibbling and sucking the smooth skin, you started to nibble and suck your way down to his chest. His head fell back and he closed his eyes, his muscles relaxing under you.
Tom Riddle may not be a man who was capable of love, but he was a man after all. And it would be a lie to say he has never thought of you in a more... erotic way. You have always been so obedient and good, doing everything for him without any hesitation. He has always found that incredibly attractive, but not enough for him to act on his desires.
Now, however, the sight of you has ignited some primal urges within him that he never felt before. Maybe it was the few drinks he had consumed prior at the gathering or maybe it was the idea of the the crazy lengths you were willing to go in order to get back to him...
Tom Riddle would probably never know the reason for him giving up control for the first time in his life. To you, nonetheless.
His mind came back to reality when he felt you pushing him on his chair and nestling yourself between his legs. Looking up at him, you tugged his pants and boxers down, letting his erection free. You let your index finger gently caress the length of it, making it twitch. A small giggle left your lips before you repeated the gesture.
"Stop teasing me", the man groaned, and his palm rested behind your head in order to push you towards his member, but you swiftly moved to the side dodging it. You squinted your eyes, moving your hands to his thighs and digging your nails into them.
"You", the word was hissed through your teeth, "are in no position to order me around."
Tom scoffed and was about to argue when your mouth unexpectedly wrapped around the head of his penis, twirling your tongue around it. He let out a choked gasp and he tried to put his hand on your head again before you smacked it away. Swallowing his pride, he rested both of his arms on the side of his chair, bucking his hip forward.
Carefully watching his reaction you wrapped your hand around him, slowly moving it down and back up again, following the movement of your mouth. The feeling of him filling your mouth was causing some saliva to start dripping your chin, but rather than pulling away, you pushed him further into your mouth till your nose was buried in his dark pubic hair. The feeling of his swollen head hitting the back of your throat made you gag, causing Tom to groan in pleasure.
"Fuck this", he muttered, before grabbing you by your hair and pulling your head up, before pressing it down again. His hips buckled in harmony with your head, making sure you were taking all of him. His dick was now coated in your saliva, making it glisten in the dim light. You closed your eyes, the lack of oxygen making them sting. The rapid pace with which he was moving was making it hard for you to breathe through your nose and you tried giving him a warning slap on his leg, which he purposefully ignored. Instead, he moved his other hand towards your chin and held your head still, while he continued to thrust his hips up and down. Sloppy wet noises filled his office, being interrupted only by his heavy breathing.
Your thighs clenched together in a weak attempt to relieve the burning ache between your legs. The way he was using your mouth to satisfy himself was making your underwear damp, yet you knew better than to touch yourself yet. After so many sleepless nights during which you tried to relieve yourself, imagining how would it feel to taste him, you wanted to focus all your attention only on him.
Feeling he was close, Tom finally pulled your head back and examined your face. Both saliva and tears were smeared all over your chin and your cheeks were flushed in rosy colour.
"What a pretty sight you are, my dear", he smiles, wiping some of it with his thumb. You licked your lips, getting up on your feet.
"And you are such a smooth talker", your face leaner just inches from his, "I wonder if you are as good with the action as you are with words."
Taking this as a challenge, he stood up and pushed you back onto the desk, before lifting your skirt. His fingers hooked under the elastic bands of your panties and with one tug they snapped, leaving you completely exposed in front of him.
Tom gulped, burning the image of your waiting arousal into his mind. His fingers made their way towards your slit, gathering the wetness before easily sliding his middle finger in. You moaned at the contact, fluttering your eyes closed. He pumped his fingers a few times, his eyes carefully observing your facial expression before he slid it out. You whined at the loss of contact, opening your eyelids only to find him smirking down at you.
"Do you really think you deserve me wasting time on your pleasure?"
"Fuck you!", you snapped, resulting in him grabbing your neck and squeezing so hard, an airy cough left your lips.
"Such a dirty mouth", he lifted your face up, his jaw clenching, "but such a weak mind. Look at the pathetic mess you are..."
Your lips parted to offer a snarky response, but your mind quickly went blank the moment he slid fully into you. Arching your back, your hands found their way around his shoulders, while his rested on both sides of your head.
Tom did not waste any time in developing a quick pace, which made you roll your eyes back. With each thrust the head of his cock was brushing against your cervix, making your whole vision white. His left hand moved towards one of your breasts, pinching and twisting the oversensitive nipple between his fingers. His other hand made his way to your pussy, where his thumb started to draw sloppy circles over your clit.
Never in your life have you felt such pleasure in your life. Of course, you had previous lovers during the past two years while trying to get Tom out of your mind, but nothing compared to this. Curling your toes, you lifted both of your legs and rested them on his shoulder.
Both of you groaned in unison when you felt him going even deeper than before. His upper body collapsed on top of yours, his lips immediately latching onto your other nipple. Still gripping his shoulders, you dragged your nails down his back, leaving angry red marks behind.
The knot in your stomach started to tighten and your moans became louder and louder. Moving your hips so you can meet Tom's thrusts, you looked at his face, only to find him staring back with eyes clouded with desire. His fingers were now working faster on your sensitive bud and you let out a shaky breath: "Tom, I...", you could not finish your sentence, your vocabulary suddenly consisting only of his name.
"Shhh", he whispered, his hand moving from your breast to your cheek. He gently stroked it with his thumb and suddenly you saw in front of you the same Tom that charmed you years ago, "I've got you."
His words were enough to cause the knot to snap and your whole body went rigid, squeezing and pulsating around him. A few harsh trusts and Tom suddenly tensed on top of you, as he painted your insides white. You both held onto each other, fingers digging into soft flesh, as you melted into your shared euphoria.
It was not romantic.
It was primal. Rough. Dirty.
It was everything you have imagined.
Finally relaxing on top of you, Tom buried his head in your shoulder, trying his best to calm his breathing down. You laid under him, crushed under his weight, yet enjoying every second of the contact he allowed you to have.
Against your better judgment, you lifted your hand and started to gently stroke his hair. Against his better judgment, he allowed you to and closed his eyes in the process.
Tired from the long day and your office activity, Tom lifted you in his arms, his now soft member slipping out of you and he sat back on his chair, adjusting the backrest so you can both take a more comfortable position.
You lifted yourself from his chest and raised your eyebrow, but bit back your tongue the moment your gaze crossed his stern one, warning you not to voice whatever you had in your mind. Letting out a small chuckle, you shook your head and laid it back down on his skin.
There was an urge burning inside of you to mock him about showing gentleness, but deep down you knew this was your only chance to enjoy it. So you closed your eyes and relaxed, finally being able to fall asleep without the haunting dreams of what could've been.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sunlight was painting the whole room in a beautiful gold colour and Tom let out a low groan when he felt it hitting his face. His hand made its way over his eyes, shielding them from the light, while his mind slowly started to become aware of his surroundings. The uncomfortable chair was making all of his muscles ache and he immediately regretted not gathering the energy last night to make his way back to his room. The chill air coming from the window has not helped too, especially when we was only partly covered and-
Tom's eyes shot open looking down at his body and finding his suit jacket thrown over his waist and private parts. You, however, were not to be found. Not on top of him, not on the desk, nowhere in the room.
He immediately stood up, grabbing his pants from the floor and furiously putting them on, while breathing heavily. His gaze fell on the stack of books he pushed from his desk last night and he immediately fell on his knees, scanning the floor around him.
"No, no, no", he hissed under his breath, pushing his hair out of his eyes, "That little serpent!"
Not only you have left, but you also have taken the diadem with you. No matter how much he searched for it, it was definitely not here.
You tricked him.
Getting up back to his feet, Tom kicked one of the books on the floor, before slamming his hands on his desk. His breathing was hard and he could feel his blood boiling in his veins. Suddenly, his attention was caught by a small parchment of paper placed next to his quill. Unfolding it, he could have sworn his heart stopped for a second.
"My dear Tom,
Thank you for our wonderful night together. I did not want to leave you so early, but I had to be out of the castle before everyone else woke up. To be truthful with you, I am not going to be your new assistant. But your already knew that, so I guess it is not shocking news. I sneaked it yesterday when all of the teachers were having a party (or what you call a gathering, ha!). Neither do I have a new lord. You already knew that as well.
Do not stress about the diadem, as it is safe with me - if there is one thing I learned from you is that I need to take good care of horcruxes once they are made. I know it was probably foolish of me to bring it to you last night, as it does hold a part of my soul, but I promise that from now on I will take better care of it.
Without doubt your paths shall cross again. Remember Tom: You are mine. Always were, always will be.
Love, y/n
P.S. - I hope you do not mind that I helped myself by getting your keys from your jacket and getting a shower in your room. Also, I think you need to follow your own advice and start putting your objects away. I found your diary resting on your bedside table, so I had to take it with me. Do not worry - I promise I will keep it safe...
for now."

would you be willing to write something along the lines of casual dominant Carmy taking care of his girl whoâs injured, maybe working at the restaurant with him? like maybe heâs super pissed at the carelessness causing injuries but also super concerned and caring
(may or may not be inspired by me breaking my finger and having it taped up, chipping the bone in my ankle and hurting most of the toes of the same foot đ
)
i tweaked the plot just a bit but same scenario lol. hope you enjoy!
"Hands!" Carmen yelled, plating the finished bolognese for Tina to grab, nodding at the perfected response. It was busy today, far busier than he expected with the stormy, summer weather, but he couldn't complain. The team was moving like a well oiled machine, customers were happy, and even Richie was in a good, upbeat mood.
"Corner!" Sydney announced, turning the corner abruptly, hand on the store's phone. "Chef, I need you."
"What?" Carmen looked over, adding the finishing garnish to the dish before putting it on the serving station. "What's the matter?"
Sydney hesitated, turning to Tina. "Tina, can you cover please? Just for a second?"
"Yes, Chef." Tina nodded, moving to Carmen's station, and ripping another order out.
"What's goin' on? Is it the freezer again? Fuckin' Richie-"
Sydney shook her head, nodding towards Carmen's office. "It's for you." Nodding to the phone in her hand.
"For me?" Carmen's eyes bulged, heart skipping a beat. "Are they mad?" His voice dropped low, eyes cutting to her's.
"No, no, not like that." Sydney shook her head. "It's a personal call. Look, I-I'll go cover for you."
Then Carmen was left, standing alone in his office, cradling the phone with a blinking hold line. He recognized the number nearly immediately- your number. Why would you call him at work? On the store phone? Suddenly, he was taken back to New York, standing in the kitchen after the dinner rush, looking at Sugar's name flash over and over and over on his phone.
His stomach turned, hands shaking when he answered it. "H-Hello?"
"Hi, Carmy." Your voice sounded small, a little wobbly- like you'd been crying. He was sure he was gonna be sick now.
"Hey," Carmen breathed, trying to still the beating in his chest. "What-What's goin' on? You alright? I-I didn't have my phone on me, but-"
"I'm alright." You soothed. "Well, I mean, for the most part. I... I'm at the emergency room."
That was all Carmen needed to hear, snatching his things out of the top drawer and bounding around the corner towards the back, shouting at Sydney to handle it, and cursing furiously when the line went dead.
Carmen walked through the dreaded halls of the emergency room, under the sickening fluorescence until he found your room. You looked up at him, eyes still red rimmed with left over tears, your friend chatting next to you.
"Hey, you alright?" Carmen pushed through the door, clumsily bounding towards your bedside. He still had his apron on, drove here in his fucking clogs he could barely press the pedals on, mind racing too quickly to care.
"Yeah, 'm alright." You muttered, looking down at your bandaged arm. "I burned myself and it was pretty bad. Jordie got scared and wanted to make sure it was treated." You nodded towards your friend.
Carmen felt the lump in his throat, bobbing with every movement of his head. "Yeah, I, uh, I see that." He looked carefully at the gauze.
"I'm gonna go," Jordie said, looking over at you gently. "If you're good with that."
"Yeah, I'll be alright now. Thank you." You hugged her with your good arm, Carmen muttering a thank you as she left.
Carmen sat beside you, hand falling over your leg. "How'd you do that, baby? What happened?"
You sighed, frustrated, maybe a little embarrassed. "It's so stupid." You could feel the tears flooding your water line again, Carmen's hand soothing them with tiny rubs. "I was making brownies for me and Jordie so we could have, like, a chill little movie day. And-And I wasn't even thinking, we were just talking, and I grabbed the tray out of the oven without a mitt." Your lip wobbled.
Carmen's eyes softened, cooing at you lightly. "And-And I freaked and didn't want to drop the tray so I threw it in the water, and then I ran my hand under cold water, like you said to do, but it was blistering really bad already and-and I don't know it looked like it was bleeding, and we were both freaking out because it hurt so fucking bad, so she took me here."
"That was good." Carmen nodded, your watery gaze meeting his. "No, that-that was the right thing to do. Could get infected."
"It's gonna cost so much." You muttered, looking down at your feet. "I-I should've called you- I tried to, but you didn't answer and... I just got scared."
"Don't worry about it." Carmen shook his head, reaching out to wipe a stray tear with the pad of his thumb. "You got insurance, we'll figure it out, alright? Just... You did the right thing, baby."
You took a shaky breath, curling into his touch, cheek to the palm of his hand. "The doctor said it was third degree." You muttered.
Carmen sucked a breath in. "Ouch. That's gonna hurt tomorrow. They give you anything for it?"
You nodded. "It's at the pharmacy. Some cream and bandages and something for the pain."
"Good." Carmen nodded. "We'll stop on the way home, ok? You gotta make sure you keep it clean, alright? Be gentle with it. Take it easy, ok? Can't get it infected."
You rolled your eyes lightly, rubbing your eyes with your free hand. "I will." You nodded.
"I know you will. I'll make sure you do, alright? I'll help you, baby." Carmen cooed, taking your wrist gently in his hand, pressing a soft kiss to the bottom of the bandage.
"I didn't mean for you to leave, Carmy." You sighed, blinking at him gently. "You didn't have to leave for me-"
"-Yeah, I did." Carmen said, a finality in his tone that left no room for argument. "Don't say that to me. You know I'm gonna come check on you. You're hurt."
"And it's dinner." You countered. "I was just letting you know."
"And I'm glad you did." Carmen said sincerely. "But I wanted to come. Syd's got it. I called Sugar on the way here, and she's gonna help Richie out front, and I'm gonna take you home. Make sure you're all good."
Carmen took extra caution, listening to the doctor's orders before your discharge- as if he didn't know most of the protocol. He was meticulous about your schedule for the next few days, texting you when to take your medicine, clean your gauze, not hold your phone in your injured hand. Everything he could to make sure you felt better, even making those brownies for you- from scratch, this time, which beat your Betty Crocker box ones.

TRUTH BENEATH THOSE SCARS
-> SPIDERMAN!KENJI SATO X READER
WARNING(s): NOT PROOFREAD, Mentions of injuries, blood, a bit of cursing, a lilâ suggestive ;)

I type away in my laptop, finishing a project I was given, to publish soon. It was a newspaper article about Spiderman, of course. I couldnât help but laugh silently knowing I have to act suspicious about his identity as I type down words.
I hear a loud tap coming from my window, I shook my head knowing itâs probably just some birds, continuing to type. After a few seconds a knock came back, a little louder this time.
I sigh, turning my chair to look, noticing it was him, Kenji Sato. I smile, turning my chair back as I continue to type. âThe windowâs open, Ken! Come in, Iâm just finishing off this article.â
You hear the window open, no response from him. That was weird, heâd usually reply after you speak, cracking a joke or distracting you from your work.
âKen?â You call out, about to look but still typing, feeling a bit weird from the silence. You hear a small thud, making you stop typing, looking at him as he struggles to sit on the couch. You notice the blood on the side of his forehead.
He could go back home to get tended but of course he chose to come to you. Is he really there for you to help him or something..More?
You quickly rush to him, hitting your leg on the chair in the process, falling on the floor. Kenji couldnât help but laugh, feeling the pain on his chest making him wince.
âStop laughing!â You say, embarrassed, quickly getting up to check up on him. âWhat happened?â You look at him worriedly, seeing the big scratch on his chest, that tore up his suit. âKaiju attack..â He struggles to say, leaning his head back on the arm of your couch.
âWhy the heck canât you just sit properly?â You mutter, your hands shaking at the sight of his bloody injury. He chuckles, âYouâre really scolding me right now? I need some help, ya know?â He teases, moving his hand to your wrist.
âIâm okay, stop shaking.â He smiles softly, earning a sigh from you as you tried to calm down. âRight.â You say, before hearing a knock from your door. I curse silently, searching for my mini refrigerator.
I quickly run to it, opening it as I grab a cold can of soda. âHere, uhm.. Maybe itâll stop the bleeding for a while?â You panic, giving him the can of soda as he quickly moves away from the couch, hiding, just incase the person that knocked will come in.
I walk up to the door, glancing at Kenji before opening the it slightly. âHeyyyy, Ami!â Kenji furrowed his brows at your greeting, right, you were best friends with Ami Wakita, the person that interviews him way too much when heâs out with his other job, a famous baseball player.
âChiho wants to play with yââ
âSorry. I canât Iâm busy!â You say, slightly raising your voice, after an awkward silence, you lean your body against the door frame, one hand holding the door behind for it to stay in place.
âI mean..The project you gave me is just sooo difficult! I just need to work really hard and think. I need to publish it as soon as possible!â You say, trying to sound convincing. âIâll play with Chiho tomorrow morning! I can babysit her, if you want.â You smile sheepishly.
Ami gives you an amused look, âUhm, okay.. Iâll be in the kitchen. Do you waââ âI donât need anything!â You quickly cut off, laughing awkwardly afterwards. âI could just bring it into your roomââ âNope! All good, thanks Ami!â You smile, earning a nod from her.
âUhm..No worries, [Name]. Good night.â She smiles before leaving. âGood night!â You close the door after, locking it. You glance at Kenji who was still behind the couch, now drinking the can of soda.
âKenji!â You scold, going to him as you try to grab the soda which he swiftly moved away. âWhat? You gave me a soda, might as well drink it.â He shrugs, drinking the can again as you pull away.
âSeriously? Drink water!â You huff, walking to your cabinet, finding a cloth, towel, bandaid, and some ointment. âSays the one who drinks anything but water.â He retorts, sitting back on the couch improperly.
âYeah, yeah.â You sigh, grabbing a chair as you place it in front of him, placing the things you got on your lap. You brush away his hair, holding it in place as you grabbed the wet towel and gently wiped the blood off his face. He winces from the pain, closing his eyes.
You canât help but stare at his face, heâs incredibly handsome.. And knowing he was a famous baseball player, surely a ton of pretty girls would agree. Your train of thoughts cut off as Kenji smirks, making you realize that youâve been staring for too long.
âLike what you see?â He teases, earning an eye roll from you. âNo.â You say after, âThen you probably love it then.â He chuckles, making you deepen the towel on his head. âOwww!â He whines, grabbing your hand as he pulls you in making your upper body, lay on his chest.
âDonât do that.â He says in a stern voice, making your cheeks heat up. âGosh,â You clear your throat, sitting back up as Kenji moves his hand away from yours. âCome on, letâs hurry. You need to defeat that Kaiju.â You say, putting the ointment then placing a bandaid on his scar.
âYeah. yeah.â He says, removing the upper part of his suit so you could tend his injury. You pause for a moment, taking in the sight in front of you, he slowly puts his hand on your head. âCome on, you could see more of that later.â He teased.
You slapped his hand away, grabbing the towel as you softly wipe away the blood. He sigh, feeling relief, yet pain still present as you move the towel around his bloody chest. He stares at you for a moment, your messy hair, pretty face, your hands so gentle as you help him.
âYouâre gorgeous..â He mumbles, earning a glance from you, âHm?â You say, gaze back on his wound. âNâNothing.â He stutters, before clearing his throat. There was a peaceful silence between you, the sound of you wiping was the only noise present.
He felt his hand move towards your face as you start putting ointment on his wound, gently putting a strand of hair behind your ear. You freeze, shivering at his touch. He slowly puts his hand back, continuing to stare right at you.
You notice his longing gaze, yet continue, to finish tending his wound. After a while, you were finally done, him wearing his suit properly again. He groans, adjusting himself on the couch. You put away the things as you gave him small glances.
âThanks, [Nickname]. Youâre the best.â You felt your heart beat fast, walking back to the chair as you smile softly. âNo problem, just.. Be more careful, okay? I donât want you sneaking in my room all injured again.â You huff, earning a soft laugh from Ken.
âYou should go.â You say sadly, âI donât want to.â He declines. âYou should. The city needs you.â You look away, feeling disappointed of how you were pushing him away now. âI need you.â
You felt your heart drop at his words, mouth agape as you couldnât find words to speak. He has that signature cocky smirk of his, plastered on his face as he gently sits up, slowly moving his face towards you. You felt a hand on the back of your head as he caresses it gently.
âNâNo. You need to go back to the city. The kaiju willâ I mean, it mightââ You stutter feeling him slowly closing in the distance between your lips, his other hand gently placing it on your chin, his thumb brushing your bottom lip softly.
âLet the KDF handle it for a while, I need a reward for being such a great superhero. And you need one for being so good to me.â He says before closing in the gap between your lips. You melt into his touch, feeling your hand snake around his neck as he pulls you in closer.
It took a while before you both pull apart, panting for air as he moves away your hair from your face. âBug boyâ you mutter, smiling at him. âHm?â He smirks, his arms slowly moving on the sides of your chair, leaning down as you move your body backwards.
âPretty girl.â He smiles, making your cheeks heat up. You both hear the Kaiju screeching, making you both wince from the loud sound. Kenji groans, making you laugh. âGreat timing, I was just getting started.â He sighs, standing up as he walks to the window.
âStay safe, Spiderman.â You smile, earning a grin from him, he pecks your lips one last time. âLucky charm.â He winks before putting on his mask, spiderweb coming out from his hand.
âIâll be back.â You look at him surprised before he leaves, making you look at his figure, slowly disappearing into the city.
âSee you, Ken.â

Heyyyy, listen I'm obsessed with someone older...OBSESSED!!?! I'm not very creative with drabble ideas but I'm a hĂžrny whĂžre and I wanna ask for more intimate scenes cus the last one left me high n dry heheh đ
so like can we get maybe a drabble after the sofa scene in her apartement, when they went to his apartement đđ
Your wish is my command đđ
--
You were supposed to put up the tree. Hang up the Christmas stuff that's stuffed into two bags left at the door- one of them tipped over in a hurry, left aside for now just like your shoes and coats, carelessly on the floor, creating a trail of clothes.
It leads into his bedroom, where he's already eagerly kissing you, still high on your confession, and the fact that everything clicked into place for you both. How his home feels warmer already, how his life feels lighter, less about work and the force of having to stay alive, and more about finding appreciation for being alive to experience this with you.
Jungkook isn't innocent. He's had sexual encounters before- has fucked in some rather risqué ways and has surely accumulated quite the experience. And sure, he's also had some mind blowing moments he'll always remember- but this?
This is different.
Because as cliche as it sounds, he's drunk off of love, the realization of it, the fact that he knows right now with your body beneath his that you're it for him. You're his final destination, a young woman he believes might just be exactly what he'd dreamed of when he pictured out his life in the future back when he was younger.
Breaths speed up, this time there's no holding back as he already has the condom wrapped around his aching length, pulling you closer by your thighs. You're beautiful like this, in between his sheets and pillows, a lot more of them here after you'd mentioned how little he has- and how many you possess. A small detail, a tiny hint that you would appreciate a more filled bed- and he happily provides just that for you, if the reward for it is such a beautiful sight beneath him.
You're reaching out for him, helping him find his way, but he teases just a little, runs the head of his cock through your arousal slicked lips, before he pushes himself in, claims you once more. But this time, it's not so unsure. This time, he's not hesitant.
This time, he's sure. He wants to mark you up, leave remnants of his affection with you to look at tomorrow and the days after. Jungkook isn't usually this hasty with things, but right now, his head is empty, not even lust fueling his actions, but the need to have you as close as he possibly can manage.
He wants your head to be filled with him, just like you fill his own every minute he isn't occupied with something else.
So when he thrusts into you, it's a lot more forceful. Never agressive, never uncontrolled- simply more confident, sure of himself. And you clearly thrive under his care, eyes closed and lips parted as his name leaves your lips in every second breath you exhale. You're free right now, no sign or trace of insecurity or fear on you, and he prides himself in being the person to gift you such a moment of bliss.
You deserve it. And one day, you'll always feel like this around him. He'll get you there.
Your legs wrap around his waist as he leans over you, kisses you with hunger, open mouthed and a lot less careful as he did before. He's taking control of the situation, and you gladly let yourself fall into his hands.
He can do as he pleases- you trust him to handle you with care.
His lips wander, from the edge of your jaw to the side of your neck, hands on your breasts as he grabs and touches, thumbs occasionally playing with your hardened buds. You've never had someone pay so much attention to your body, and you can't help but simply arch your back to aid his hips in their angle- rolling up into him, causing him to breathe out deeply, a sign of his own growing pleasure.
"I love you." You breathe out and he can't help but grin, chuckle as he picks up his pace, growing sloppy as he finds his end sooner than you- but he's not one to leave you hanging, instead pushing himself in deep as he cums, hand between your body traveling down to your core, using your slick that's coating the inside of his thighs to flick your pearl, making you whine beneath him.
"I love you." He responds, hiding his face in the crook of your neck, kissing your skin while he still can't wipe the smile off of his face as you clench around him.
You're spent, surely a bit too exhausted to really do much more than clean up and take a nap- but he doesn't mind staying up late with you afterwards. He's taken time off after all, to spend it with you-
And he plans on making the most out of it, making every second count.

Notes: Happy birthday, @house-of-the-moving-image! I hope you have the most wonderful of days. I'm so happy to have found you as a friend and partner in crime. Hope you enjoy your extra long chunk of Upside Diner, even though it turned out quite gritty for a birthday fic. đ
đđŒ
Eddie grumbles under his breath as he locks the office door and steps out into the dark street.Â
Donât get him wrong, he loves his job. Hellfire Records is his baby. Making music, working with all sorts of different artists and bands, helping them make a name for themselves - itâs everything he ever wanted and never thought he could have growing up in the smalltown hell of Hawkins, Indiana.Â
What he doesnât love is the meetings and the paperwork and the phone calls, especially on days like this, when it all drags on until well into the night.Â
The echoes of his boots bounce off the empty streets as he makes his way towards the little diner at the corner. Checking his wristwatch, he swears again. Fuck, itâs even later than he thought. What if Steveâs shift is already over? The thought makes his stomach clench with an unpleasant feeling that distinctly feels like disappointment. The realization makes him pause and furrow his brow.Â
Maybe itâs a little bit pathetic, how quickly his visits to the diner have become the highlight of his day. Maybe itâs a little bit weird that he hasnât had dinner anywhere else in literal weeks. Maybe itâs a little bit creepy, this obsession with a boy he knew fleetingly in highschool. An obsession that makes him come by every single day after work, without fail, just to chew on soggy fries and greasy burgers and watch said boy waiting tables, gliding around like an angel in chunky roller skates and stupidly short shorts.Â
Maybe he has a problem.Â
And maybe he doesnât care.Â
Because for all his initial reluctance and bite, Steve has actually started coming around. Has been accepting Eddieâs money and attempts at conversation with barely a complaint. Has even stopped asking why Eddie keeps ordering way too much food for one person alone, taking the leftovers behind his counter to munch on. Hell, last week when Eddie came in, he even looked up from the order he was taking and flashed him a wave and smile. Eddie rode that high all night and well into the next day.Â
Itâs the memory of that smile that makes him pick up his steps. Maybe, if heâs lucky, heâll catch Steve at the tail end of his shift and convince him to stay around for a little longer.Â
The diner is empty, except for a lone person in uniform wiping down tables behind the neon-lit window pane. It isnât Steve. Eddie spares one glance at the bored-looking girl and turns away with an annoyed groan. Thatâs it, he thinks, pulling his headphones from his pocket and slamming them on with a little more force than strictly necessary. Tonight officially sucks. Time to go home and fix himself some SpaghettiOs, turn on a late night show and fall asleep in front of the-Â
For the rest of his life, heâll thank fate for making him fumble with his discman. Because if heâd hit the play button a second earlier, he would never have heard the voices. But this way, he does, and this way, he halts his steps, peering into the narrow side alley with a wrinkled brow. The light of the streetlamps only reaches so far, and everything he can see are the dumpsters and old cardboard boxes at its entrance. Beyond them, everything is dark.Â
âDude, get your hands off me, I said no.âÂ
Steve.
Eddie is halfway around the dumpsters before he even knows it, heart beating in his ribcage like a jackhammer. The alley reeks of piss and rotting garbage. At its far end, almost hidden behind another dumpster, are two figures. Eddie canât make out their faces, but he also doesnât need to. The colorful uniform is unmistakable, even in the murky half-light, even though itâs paired with a pair of sneakers rather than roller skates. And besides, heâd know that ridiculously floofy hairdo anywhere.Â
He doesnât know the other man. Only knows that the guy's hands are grabbing Steveâs arms and shoulders hard enough to leave marks as he attempts to wrestle him to his knees.Â
âCâmon, donât be like that,â the man hisses just as Eddie rounds the dumpster. âIâll make it quick.âÂ
âAre you deaf or stupid?â Steve sneers, trying to struggle out of his hold. âI said get your fucking hands off me.âÂ
The man slaps him across the face. Steve makes a pained noise and loses his balance, going down on his knees on the dirty ground.Â
The man laughs, curt and mean.
âThere you go,â he coos. One of his hands grabs a fist full of chestnut hair while the other reaches for the half-undone fly of his pants. âNow be a good little slut and-âÂ
The force of the impact sends the discman tumbling from Eddieâs pocket. It shatters on the ground somewhere, parts flying in all directions, but he doesnât have eyes for it. Instead, he grabs the asshole by the lapels of his cheap suit and hauls him against the nearest wall. The back of the assholeâs head hits the bricks, and Eddie thinks he hears something crack. Good.Â
âEddie?âÂ
While the man sags against the wall, groaning and cradling his head, Eddie whirls on Steve. Steve, who's just swaying to his feet, eyes wide and shocked. His cheek is flushed and starting to bruise.Â
âShit,â Eddie swears. âAre you-âÂ
Pain explodes inside his skull, sudden and all consuming. He stumbles, trying to keep his footing and cracks his head on the hard metal edge of the dumpster in the process. He manages to blink the stars from his vision just in time to see the man's fist flying at him. The blow makes his ears ring and copper flood his mouth, and when he regains his senses, he's on the ground with two hands closing around his throat.Â
âThought you'd play the hero, huh?â The man's grin is a manic grimace. A glob of spit hits Eddieâs cheek. âWell, how'd that work out for you, you stupid little-âÂ
âHey, shitface!âÂ
The man snarls and turns. Eddie doesnât see what happens, just knows that something goes crunch and suddenly the hands pressing down on his windpipe are gone. The man's voice turns into a high-pitched wail of pain.Â
Eddie rolls around, coughing and gasping for air, and props himself up on his elbows. The man has shrunk against the next wall, clutching at his face. Crimson blood is bubbling out from between his fingers, hitting the alley floor in a steady pattern of drips.Â
âFuck off,â Steve says and lowers the hand holding the roller skate. His voice is deadly calm, his face steely. âRemember to put away your dick first.âÂ
The guy stares at him. Steve raises the roller skate again, just a little. The asshole whimpers and scrambles upright, mumbling something to himself. Eddie thinks he catches something about fucking lunatic fags, but he can't be sure, what with the way his voice comes out all wet and garbled. And then he's gone, nearly tripping over his own feet in his haste to get away.
Steve drops the roller skate.Â
âFuck,â be whispers, crouching down next to Eddie and brushing hesitant fingers over his split lip. Ten minutes ago, Eddie wouldâve given anything to feel those hands on his face, but now he winces and recoils at the sting of pain.Â
Steve retracts his hand, flopping down on the ground with a heavy sigh. The shorts ride up with the movement, exposing strong, muscled thighs. His knees are scraped from hitting the asphalt, little droplets of blood beading on the torn skin.Â
âWhatâd you go and do that for?â Steve asks, scrubbing a hand down his face. All of the steel is gone from his voice. He sounds tired instead, infinitely tired. âI had it under control.âÂ
Eddie canât help it, he barks a laugh. âOh, did you, big boy? When was that, exactly? When he backhanded you? Or when he had you by the hair and was about to shove his cock down your-â
âYeah, well, Iâm not the one who got punched and choked half to death!â Steve snaps.Â
Eddie opens his mouth to argue, then shuts it again. The boy has a point, sort of. He doesnât need a mirror to tell which one of them is looking the worse for wear right now, not with the white-hot pain still throbbing through his face with every heartbeat.Â
âHe didnât choke me half to death,â he mutters lamely. Steve huffs a humorless laugh.Â
âThanks, anyway,â he then says. It comes out so quietly that Eddie nearly misses it, and when he looks up, Steve has averted his eyes. Eddie has an acute flashback to their first meeting at the diner, when Steve reluctantly accepted his tip money. âCouldâve gone a lot worse if you hadnât shown up.âÂ
Eddie feels his mouth tug into a grin, even though his lip stings like an entire beehive.Â
âAnytime, Stevie. Now câmon, letâs get outtaaaaah, shit.âÂ
Trying to stand is a bad idea. The moment heâs upright, another firework of pain goes off behind his temples and the ground tilts out from under him. The only thing that saves him from going right down again is Steve jumping to his feet and looping one of Eddieâs arms around his shoulders.Â
âShit, he got you good,â he mutters. Eddie can only hum in agreement, too preoccupied with keeping the meager contents of his stomach down. âWe should probably get you somewhere with a first aid kit at least.âÂ
ââs okay,â Eddie slurs, inadvertently leaning closer into Steveâs warmth. He smells of shampoo and frying fat and blood. âIâll be fine, I live nearby.âÂ
Steveâs eyes flit over his face, then off to the side, then back to his face again. He licks his lips and even in his dazed state, Eddie can clearly see how he wars with himself. Finally, he gulps and straightens his spine.Â
âOkay,â he says, adjusting Eddieâs weight on his shoulders. âLetâs go then.âÂ
Itâs weird, Eddie thinks as they start to hobble their way down the dark street. He mustâve fantasized a thousand times about taking Steve Harrington home, but never once did he think itâd play out like this. Then again, things in his life rarely go as he imagines, so he supposes heâs just gonna roll with it.

A not so little Essay, about my love for Spawn Astarion

First of all, I want to write this bit, because I wholeheartedly agree with everything @michanvalentine wrote!
This post inspired me, to write my first own bit about my Love for Astarion and how this came to be.
Everything, that Astarion embodies, what we experience together with him during his story...
It is all pure Beauty.
First, I can agree, that to me, he is the most beautiful man I can possibly imagine.
Like you said, simply looking at his face and this beautiful hair or his expression, the way he moves and expresses himself (verbally and nonverbal)
I still catch myself beaming with joy, whenever I forget to play the game, to just look at him during dialogues or even in the background of other's dialoguesđ
I'm an obsessive collector of screenshots of him, to catch every possible expression and angle of his face.
But that would certainly not be enough, to feed my obsession with him, for longer then a few weeks.
So, what is even more important?
Why do I have to admit, that I just love him?
It is strength he can find in showing vulnerability, in finally really feeling his feelings.
Experiencing his journey through all the bloodlust and pain and misery.
To fall for his simple plan (I certainly did. I remember feeling SO flustered by the first night we spend with himđ«Ł)
To look beyond his mask during the mirror scene.
Even more so, by the time he proposed to spend a second night together.
What did he say? âI love you?" and why did he look so sad all of a sudden?
Did he even mean anything he said to me before?
Then suddenly, he hits you with a freight train!
His Act Il confession.
My palms were SO sweaty and I couldn't stop crying.
I was personally involved.
I, too, felt all these feelings.
It was like I was there with him.
Just wanting to comfort him, show him how much l care.
That I would wait forever, for any kind of physical touch.
This seductive, cynical, funny, strong man suddenly became a vulnerable, raw, precious, truly deserving of love and understanding, (REAL!) person.
Oh and how much I could relate to that.
How much strength and willpower it takes, to become vulnerable!
Even more so, if you are a man.
And a man, who learned so much vile behavior in his live, only to survive.
Vulnerability kills you!
Vulnerability gets your feelings hurt.
Because people aren't soft!
They aren not understanding.
These are all âfairytale princes", they don't exist!
So can you imagine the strength and trust you must possess, to make such a confession?
I don't know, if I could do that, after all these disappointments and all the hurt I personally experienced over and over again in my life!
And he clearly states it, when you decide to be with an other companion:
âYou were a mistake! One I won't be making again!" Even if the confession didn't even happen yet, even if you aren't even âa thing" yet.
He got invested in this relationship.
Can you imagine this pale elf, being nervous all the time he is with you?
Because he has so much to say to you, but simply doesn't know how?
Or maybe he doesn't even know it himself yet.
There has to be a positive or negative trigger, to let the urgency within him become so strong, that he can't go on with out talking to you, about his feelings.
Which leads me to one more thing, that makes him stronger than you could give him credit for.
Imagine a feeling, an idea so abstract and foreign to you (like his affection/ love towards Durge/ Tav), that you can't even process them yourself.
But nonetheless, you take this step, trying to express them to the other person, because it became so important to you.
And all this with the expectation to possibly be turned down, hurt or even humiliated, by the other person.
Because you feel like you aren't lovable!
Because you are just there to be used.
Not to be cared for or loved or to be seen as a person.
But he confesses!
No matter the circumstances and his self- loathing.
Because he came to trust you and your heart.
This is one more thing, that will haunt me forever!
How beautiful this tender, slowly blooming love between him and Durge/ Tav is shown...
Once you avowed to be his partner, he is so devoted.
Because you don't want to fix or change him.
You agreed, that you could learn to love, to LIVE together!
Not just to love in general.
But to love each other.
In a unique, specific way that pays respect to both their necessities.
What it means to be alive.
Not stuck in survival mode!
But free and relaxed.
Not afraid of what the future holds or what other people may do to him.
Because you got each other's back!
And that's why his way to live physical attraction and intimacy changes so much over time.
How he learns to publicly display his love for his partner in every possible way.
When you kiss him, he leans into you.
Maybe even a little bit too much, because he goes like 2/3 of the way.
He grabs their hips (even both butt cheeks, if you look at it with the free cam) or softly cradles their head during the kiss.
He lingers just a bit longer after their kiss.
Smiling, taking in every detail of his partnerâs face, not ready to let go just yet.
Although we both know, that I will ask again, if I can kiss him, within the next three minutes.đ€
Even the companions comment on Astarion and his partner not being able to keep their hands and mouths by themselves.
Because it isn't tainted.
It's pure, real and everything it means to be alive.
You are always by his side.
You care for him and support his path, to finally be free from his shackles!
Defeating Cazador may be the climax to his personal journey.
He frees himself from his control, mentally and physically.
He doesn't have to fear him anymore.
He can do whatever he wants.
But that's just, where the most important part of his story starts!
Because he wants to share his freedom, his LIFE, with YOU!
He can do whatever he wants and he chooses to be with you!
Because you are equals and he trusts you so much!
He even tells you, that only six months with you, are The counterweight to 200 years of misery!
What a statement!
What a thing to digest, again!
Imagine the importance of this statement, from a man, who wasn't able to understand his own feelings or the concept of being in love, just a few months ago!
There is still a long way to go.
He isn't healed, at the moment when the game ends.
But he became so much more, then what he was made to be!
And more importantly:
All by himself!
No matter if you romance him or not.
Unascended Astarion will always be âRadiant Hopefulâ by the end of the journey!
He found himself and found out, what kind of man he wants to be!
Not formed by a ritual or other people!
But by himself!
And that takes all strength and courage and willpower, one could possibly possess.
He is right and speaks for all of us when he says:
âThis is a gift! I won't forget it!âđ„č
