every jadis scene pissed me off, so I won’t go into detail too much. you guys know how much i hate her. anyway, michonne using the axe to slice jadis like a cold cut… mother. love her. ALSO her rage when speaking about haircut too, yeah that was the perfect amount of dialogue that i wanted to see from her. her stealing rick’s time of seeing rj’s birth, first steps, etc. UGH. so excellent, you could feel her burning anger in her voice.

all of these callbacks throughout the episode but the best, most important and evident one was the mere fact that they’re a team again. kicking ass, and simply leading each other because that’s what they’re the best at. before any of their romance began, they were trusted confidants who worked so well side by side, and in this episode we got to see and feel the satisfaction and elation of having that back again!!!!!

i felt like i was at a drive thru restaurant ordering the entire episode. can i get some flirting, with a side of ass kicking, and ummm let me get a side of poetic, confessional yearning from rick grimes. yeah, that’ll be all.

rick telling gabriel that he wanted to marry michonne on the bridge. 🥺……. 😡 AND THEN EVERYTHING GOES TO SHIT AFTERWARDS. IMAGINE THE WORLD IF JADIS NEVER KIDNAPPED HIM. THEY WOULD HAVE FOUND HIM EVENTUALLY LIKE HE WAS RIGHT UP THE STREET?? oof — i cannot. we waited so long to hear this admirable dialogue but at what cost. it’s so sad, but at least we’re here now as michonne would say!!!!!

AHHHH GRAY OMGIE ILY AND TYSM FOR ASKING N BEING INTERESTED 🥺♥️ hmm you asked for a day in the life, so i will give you a particularly special day, erm..night ?

okay so as you know, museum au jadetham is exes to lovers (breakup was Not amicable lolz), so there’s quite the bit of tension + even lingering bitterness, when alhaitham is first transferred to the museum—it does mellow out a little as we get used to each other again though.

enough that, while working overtime on a friday, we successfully complete something n it’s the first time we were genuinely happy around each other again, and it brings up such a Weird sense of nostalgia, that he asks if we should get dinner together afterwards, and i agree—but ofc it is just as colleagues since we aren’t particularly friends either… so we walk to a little restaurant, have dinner, have a couple of drinks… (at one point, he’s about to order for me based on what he remembers i used to like but unfortunately things have changed, including my drink order, and it's the first instance tonight that he REALLY notices.)

after that, we walk around the city towards the same direction home, and there's one of those immersive art experience museums…..maybe it's the buzz from the alcohol but i insist we check it out. (he recalls how i never really cared for these sort of exhibits, but i just tell him that when you work in a museum all day, sometimes a change of pace is good.)

okay HERE is where, if it were a tv show, the ost in the background would be coolest place in the world by suki waterhouse, to set the tone

it feels so surreal when we just sit and take in the art and light and quietude—and again, maybe it's the alcohol—but the projections make you feel like you're in the painting, like a respite from reality that, in the moment, i finally apologize for breaking up w him like that a few years ago. it's very a very pensive heart to heart, and it goes a little smthg like:

“i’m sorry...” “...what for?” (because he genuinely doesn't know what's coming) “for ending things like that. i didn't mean to hurt you, but i did. i’m sorry for giving up on us when you never did.” (imagine more pauses in between okie)

and that kind of becomes an official end to the previous chapter of us, because the old me would have neverrrr apologized like that ! so it's like we've finally buried the hatchet, and it sets things up for even a possible friendship ?! 😱 anyways he walks me home since it’s on the way to his place, and we say good bye with a little wave, small smiles, and a whispered “see you” instead of “bye.”

and the met gala! honestly they looked fantastic because they’re them and they’re gorgeous even in trash bags. lee know, love of my life, i cannot continue gatekeeping you </3 the looks were okay but underwhelming. i absolutely love fashion and met gala (even if i have my beef with it) really shows some designer’s creative sides. tommy hilfiger really failed the theme imo (as well as many other designers). i think felix was most on theme. he looked like a fairy. my most toxic trait is thinking i could’ve designed better outfits for them😪

and the paparazzi😡😡😡😡 i swear im so pissed at that. those comments were so out of line. i feel so bad for all of them, but especially chan & felix, as native english speakers who register the negative connotations faster. i’m so sad that we can’t have nice things here :(( it really sucks bc i want them to actually like coming to the us </3

but other than that, im so proud of them for literally making history at the met gala. i hope that if they go next year their outfits will be better and the atmosphere too.

Not us both reading up about hobipalooza on Reddit to prep for skzlolla LMAOOOO I am on Reddit like it’s a full time job I swear I’m simultaneously so excited but SOOO NERVOUSSSSS 😭 I’m just hoping I get to see them even the tiniest amount from whatever spot I get but I’m also way too scared of crowd crushing to camp out or anything !

Agreeeeed about their outfits! Apparently Tommy Hilfiger was the most talked about designer of the night (thanks to skz of course) so it’s unfortunate the outfits were a little underwhelming but they still looked fucking fantastic. I will NEVERRRR GET OVER FELIX….. he straight up looks like Legolas was pulled from lotr and put on the red carpet. The little braids in his hair too !!!!! I’m so glad they’re doing interesting things with his hair while it’s this long. Overall not my favorite red carpet looks of theirs but I am beyondddd proud of them 🫶

I shed some happy tears when Aloy and Seyka kissed in Horizon Burning Shores, so...the 20th of April.

I used to compete in Surf Life Saving from ages 10-16, and also did pool swimming comps. I was pretty serious about my training too! I don’t know how I did it.

I really don’t know. I guess their energy level/enthusiasm.

Scary movies. I rarely watch movies but when I do it’s usually horror of some variety.

Idk about special. I used to be pretty good at classical guitar but it’s been like six years since I played. I used to play double bass in high school too. Other than that, I think I’ve developed a decent eye for colour when I’m painting that comes pretty naturally.

It was English until about halfway through high school when I started liking Physics, Chemistry, and Maths a lot more. I once took a video game design class where the teacher just let us mess around with Unity and 3D art programs, and I put a heap of effort into that.

15. Dream job?

Welllll, I used to want to be an academic researcher in AI and wanted to go into a PhD program after undergrad, but I decided it wasn’t for me. I’m not sure that influencing AI development in a positive direction is something I would have been able to do effectively from a technical position anyway, so my dreams of becoming irl Elisabet Sobeck are on hold.

I guess I’m reevaluating dreams at this point. I just want to do something that helps people and helps the world transition away from the current systemic rut its dug itself into. That’s not a salaried position, though! My current field is secure and pays well, but I’m hoping to maybe go public sector in the future so that at least my work is benefiting public services. Actual positive action has gotta come from somewhere else.

so to be honest, I struggle a lot with building in general, but I have fun with it regardless, but I can NEVERRRR make the plants and stuff around the home look nice, im good with dirt and terrain paint (sometimes), just never can nail the plants and trees.

here’s the only other thing i can personally say abt d.e.h. because im not really #into musicals, i take them on a case by case basis, anyways:

so obviously i have ~volume issues~!!! don’t like loud ones in general tho its nbd if it’s like a consistent volume or supposed to be happening In A Good Way( like a concert or smthing); i can be kinda “mild” ptsd-y abt sudden sounds of any volume or even someone suddenly speaking even if i expect them to and/or it’s at regular speaking volume; i generally HATE people speaking loudly and yelling even if it’s to shout something to someone across the room; and i never raise my voice myself, i only yell if i’m like on a roller coaster or at a concert and wanna be like Hell Yeah (which i do. i like to be loud when it means you’re having fun)

and in fact i generally Can’t raise my voice. i only kind of speak louder than a sorta-on-the-quiet-side conversational volume if i’m enthusiastic abt something and with ppl im comfortable enough with: aka rarely to never. when i’m stressed in certain ways i can also sometimes just not speak at all, and/or speak a even quieter than usual

oh i forgot to mention that i also hate any time ppl’s choice of venting frustration is to be fairly genuine in violently cursing and being angrily loud in general. can you not if you aren’t completely alone!! thanks!!! yet i keep encountering this. it’s “fine” but very unpleasant and unnecessary stress on my end thanks again....

anyways back to ME being quiet!! approx half a year ago (may? yeah) there was this afternoon where there was nobody around for probably like. several hundred feet. fantastic. for no particular reason i decided i wanted to sing!! LOUD BABY!!!!!

i like to sing, and i don’t even mind singing loudly, but you usually don’t have places to do that unless you are alone in your car, or are one of those theatre people who does this with impugnity. and see where i am going with this? how musicals have those either Fun And Boppy or Dramatic Anthem which are meant to be even louder than usual? and don’t sing them at me unless we are all in agreement to do so and its a party basically? segues are my specialty

anyways even when using choir participation as an excuse to hang out and get Proper Catholic I Swear Lol points and/or help out good buddy nuns while the soprano and bass section fumble around and you, a perfectly competent tenor, are just hanging around to save the whole situation—even then i could never truly belt it out b/c as a single tenor you have more Power than like fifteen sopranos, even if that’s probably a good thing and your harmony is great and everyone should know it

anyways here is my point. since for once nobody was around i decided i wanted to absolutely yell-sing at the top of my lungs, which i don’t believe i have ever done before, even when singing pretty loudly, like in the car at 2am or at a concert when you can’t even hear your own voice. and the songs from deh i know are WTAW (the one everyone knows if they know one) and sincerely me, it being the other song everyone knows if they know another one, and as it is also the real Upbeat Fun One it was one of the songs i Yelled, like five times b/c it is so in my range and i like to try to do all the parts / harmonies for every song ever no matter what, and i like to put songs on repeat. I’m Good

I.THE PLAY-IN TOURNAMENT

This NBA season a new gameplay mechanic was introduced to the league( I don’t know why I’m making this sound like 2K lmao). The NBA now has what is called the “Play-In Tournament” which lower seeded teams compete in a mini tournament for the last two slots in the NBA Playoffs. Unfortunately my guy Bron and his Lakers found themselves in the tournament, after being ranked the number one team at some point earlier in the season. Nevertheless the Laker Boys season was on the line as they scratched and crawled to defend their NBA title ( and we still celebrating that to this day….to..this…DAY!).

Lakers v. Warriors became the marquee match-up for the evening, a match up that seem fitting to be a finals game itself! Steph Curry vs Lebron James, it never gets old…yes I mean NEVERRRR! The Lakers does as they usually do drag the entire game out until your heart is jumping out of your chest like a looney tune (go see Space Jam: A New Legacy and put more money in my guy pockets please and thank you!)

The final play comes down to a Lakers possession, tied up, desparately needing a shot. When the ball hits KCP hands in the paint, the Warriors defense proved to be too much as he is forced to kick it out to KIng James. With under two seconds on the shot clock while defended by Wardell Curry, he hoists a three from the Whole Foods off Fairfax and drains a very Curry-Esque three! Victory was secured and the Lakers earn a spot in the playoffs (only to end up eliminated but that’s not the point of this article).

II. THE REAL TIME REACTION

Later Lebron James posts the magnificent shot sequence to his instagram page. When I saw the posts I said “I love that athletes can do this”! So many great sports moments missed the social media window, it would’ve been so cool to see athletes react in real time. What if we could’ve gotten a tweet from MJ after he shook Byron Russell out his boots?(Yeah you wasn’t pushed my boy). What if we could’ve gotten an IG Livestream from Ali? Hell what if we even gotten Deion Sanders making statuses about his performances while hopping from sport to sport like its double dutch.

Social Media as we all know can be a deep vacuum for negative energy located smacked in the middle of East Hell. However, social media is great when we get to see GOATs react to something they just did on the court, their reaction hypes up the next game, gives sports commentators more to discuss, its just an overall good vibe for the sports community. I definitely won’t be taking these moments for granted. I can see my goats relish in the moment and not wait until a documentary 30 years later. Its their flowers and they need it now!

Any special talents? I can move my ears, and twist my elbow around 270* outwards if that counts. I am also good at crafting the most random stuff. I can also write fluently in Kerch (that one language in the grishaverse)

What are your hobbies? Drawing, painting, crocheting and making stuff from shows, playing my guitars, reading, listening to music and scrolling on tumblr.

Do you have any pets? I have a big adorable blond dog. He is 10 month old , as tall as me, and the love of my life.

H: How would you describe your style?

ohh tough hmm. i think it kind of depends on the mood i’m in when i set myself down to write, and on the goal i’m trying to accomplish with my writing. sometimes my style leans very heavily into the poetic/borderline philosophical realm (like “hold my whisper in your lungs”), whereas other times my style is more straightforward, humorous, plot-focused, etc (“home depot catalog” or “and maybe i climbed it for you,” for instance)... plus i think the PoV i’m writing from has an immense impact, right down to the type of vocabulary used to describe a character’s surroundings. so i guess i would call my style... fluctuating? adaptive? idk. i’m super bad at figuring myself out so fdkgfjd i’m not the most reliable source for a description of my style

but i will say i love love love mood-setting when i write. i love writing in a way that paints a picture of a scene, that really captures a whole image and bottles it up into one or two paragraphs, so that you can understand everything about it, from the color of the sunlight to the sound of the breeze to the dimple on a cheek, etc... at least in my slightly longer fics, i always try to include at least one moment just wholly dedicated to immersing the reader in a vivid snapshot.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

my guilty pleasure is definitely langst. i admittedly see elements of my own insecurities in lance, which is why i love him so much, and so i like seeing his weaknesses tested, his limits pushed, and his willpower brought low. seeing him hurt and fail is cathartic for me because it makes it all the more satisfying when he comes through on the other side and conquers all of that. it’s my way of living out my own fantasies, i suppose, of battling and overcoming similar difficulties in my own life. this is all dependent upon happy endings of course though--which are a must for me! i need a happy ending otherwise it’s not worth it imo.

oh, also--small guilty pleasure: lovebug fics/drunk fics/etc! just fics where they lose some or all of their inhibitions or whatever... idk what it is about that, but i just love it. i haven’t read anything like that in a while but i’m considering writing a lovebug fic once i have a bit more free time on my hand (which, tbh, with school and zines i’m not 100% sure when that will be). but if and when i do write it, i want it to be lance who gets bit because i neverrrr see fics where lance is the one bit and im!!! agh!!! i need it. so u know what they say, be the change you want to see in the world and all that.

(1/2?) Never not gonna take the opportunity to compliment one of my favourite writers (and people) to exist. 😘♥️ SO, Telli… what do I love about your writing, let me count the Everything. I swear on all that is holy, you have to be the only person on earth who could make me love Doug even for five minutes, which is a talent in and of itself lmao. Before I read TWD….. could not have possibly imagined a reality in which Doug and Carlos being friends would be super cute, actually. But here we are! I am forced to contend with this reality thanks to your powers of fix-it characterization. ;)

Anyway, now that I got that off my chest jkldjlakjlkgsd…. you knowwww I adore your Jaylos, but of course I’m going to tell you that a million more times anyway. Your Jaylos fluff is alwayssss gonna be at the top of my list when I’m seeking a comfort fic at 3 AM. I feel like your writing just exudes warmth, if that makes sense. And well, you are a warm person (very much so 💕), but it’s something I felt from your writing before we actually talked, so… hmm, I think maybe that’s just a part of you that slips into your work, since IME the essence of a person is always visible through their writing. It’s kind of difficult to articulate ‘cause it’s more *felt* than anything else, but… warm, yes. That’s how I’d describe it. 🥰

With regards to the more technical side of things, some characteristics of your writing that always impress me are, 1) how gracefully you handle a large cast of characters, as with TWD; you give Jaylos and Malvie the sense of importance they deserve without sacrificing the other dynamics and I really admire that because I *know* how hard it is to pull that off and you make it *look* so easy and feel so real and natural, which goes into, 2) which is that your writing is so immersive because literally everything is so realistic but not the sense of… Reality 2.0, if you will? Like…. actual reality can be boring sometimes, but you know how media realism never has a dull moment when it’s done well and idk, that’s just your writing for me… TWD feels like it could be an *actual* wedding event IRL, and that brings us to 3) which is that you render such powerful and believable emotions, it’s impossible not to feel invested in what the characters are experiencing. I really, REALLY appreciate that in writing because my attention deficit ass cannot cope with an emotionally dry narrative. I need to be able to lean all the way in to what the characters are feeling or I’m gonna get bored in 2 seconds and your writing neverrrr fails to give me that kind of an anchor.

Your writing is so flowery and poetic and descriptive and beautiful - it’s purely unique to you and SO, SO good! No one in this fandom can paint the pretty pictures that you do in my mind with your words...not to mention the pretty pictures you actually create as well! You are the total package, an artist with your words AND drawings, and I know I’m not the only one if this fandom that is in complete AWE of your talents 🤩🤩🤩

And on top of ALL OF THAT, you’re also just hte sweetest, kindest, most loving and genuine person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Despite going through the loss of your beautiful little Jasper this year, you try so hard to put everyone here first, and make sure we’re feeling loved and supported even when you are going through your own things.
