- I take hundreds of screenshots + download promo art and a create collage of it , use it as a ref sheet. I study on the shapes , proportions , and style of each character.

- Then I pick an image from the pile to see if it’s a good pose (if not, I find poses from other resources to draw) or expression I want to use as reference for my drawing

- then I start sketching , adding the sharp details . Clean up on lineart and color later

Other Notes :

- Tales of the TMNT artstyle uses sharp sketchy lines to give it that sketchbook artstyle

- In some frames from the show, Their eyes are pentagon shaped & pupils are not fully colored in. Mask tails have different styles too

- Each turtle not only have different headshapes , they have different plastron shapes too (these are fugly examples I accidentally deleted the OG layer of this and had to redo it LMAO)

- Looking at Tales crew art also rlly helps! (There’s a lot of them on the #/talesofthetmnt tag on insta & twitter)

the Tales of the TMNT artstyle is easy to nail imo , it’s like more of a simpler version of the rise of the TMNT artstyle if that make sense ?? That’s how I personally feel lololol

If you never drawn TMNT before , just go slow on your art process , look at references, & take your time . Draw the characters in your own style first if you want :] just to feel more comfortable and less stress trying to replicate the iteration’s style . overall , have fun <3

This position, however, is solely because his parents were world-famous villains. THIS IS MY VERY FAVORITE BABY BOY So Wally is a sweet kid, but because his parents were world-famous, he never really got a choice in who they raised him to be. This resulted in him having a BUNCH of self-worth issues that he tries to deal with on the side because he doesn't want to get his friends involved. He has two (2) major points in the plot (OUT OF 40 CHAPTERS)- one plot point where he ignores the main antagonist to get a boyfriend instead, and one where his entire arc finally culminates in "Wally Learns How To Say No To People." Outside of that, he does NOTHING regarding the main plot and is a C plot character at best. He is simply involved and there in the background because I love him so much and he is my precious little baby boy and yeah sure maybe I loved him so much I made 27 alternate universe versions of him that all have plot relevance in all my stuff but *this* wally is simply a boy and he is blue and he is lovely and I would kill and cry for him every day

Despite the fact all he desires to be is just some guy the universe keeps trying to make him more than some guy. He's supposed to be a hero, a prince, but he keeps running from the idea of it so much he ends up in another world entirely and all he wants is to go home and be normal, all he wants! He's not looking to save his sister, she can save herself she's strong. He just wants to go home :( that's all he really wants in life and he's getting really tired of the universe saying otherwise

TUA Season 4 Spoilers

Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but it feels like some of Klaus' story was cut or changed in post or else rewritten and reshot. And I think that plot was was about Dave or at least his dog tags.

At Sy's dry cleaners, when he presents the box of alternative timeline objects Diego goes through it and hands items to Viktor and Ben. No one else grabs any items except Klaus who runs over the box excitedly and goes straight for one item - dog tags.

I wasn't able to read these (which feels like a mistake, wouldn't you want them legible in close up to hammer the point home?), but I think it's safe to assume these are Dave's dog tags, especially considering how Klaus interacts with them the rest of the scene (did my best to crop these so you can see him a bit better without totally murdering the quality).

Which really confused me because Klaus was wearing his dog tags at the end of season 3 right? And then I went back and looked at the scene and realised Klaus is wearing something on a chain but at no point do we see what it is because whatever is on the end of the chain is tucked into his shirt. And yes his dog tags are tucked into his shirt at other points in the season but it always just looks like they slipped into the shirt as he moved around, as they're often off to the side or at an angle...

...and even at times switching between inside his shirt, outside of his shirt and then inside it again within one scene (which is not a criticism, it's just the nature of having multiple takes and multiple angles, it can lead to inconsistencies)...

...whereas in the final scene of season 3 they're perfectly placed, hanging straight down and remain inside his shirt the entire time, even when he bends down.

So then I thought oh, it must be intentional. What he's wearing isn't his dog tags, Reginald rebooting the universe clearly erased what happened with Dave. We're going to get a scene something like the scene below from Ain't No Place (To Call Home) by Hara_Kiri.

(Sidenote: Very much recommend this fic, don't love how it ends, but don't still love the majority of the fic and it's a better ending then what we officially got tbh, also dont know if the author has a tumblr but happy to tag them if they do)

But then that never happens and the dog tags are just never seen or mentioned again. But then why have the scene of him finding them in the box? When he should have already had them? And then he still doesn't wear them?

But what really makes me think part of Klaus' story was cut, was the birthday promo video we got on October 1st last year. The cast are all in costume and it says 'previously recorded' because it was released during the SAG strikes, so it was likely filmed on set either between takes or at the end of a day, with the cast just in whatever costume they were in that day. And Klaus is in clothes we see him wear in the season....with all of his tattoos, except the Umbrella, clearly visible.

But then we never see him get his tattoos back in the show??? And this can't just be an error, there's no way a make up artist would accidentally apply four whole tattoos, and then Robert Sheehan wouldn't question it, and no one else on cast or crew would pick it up as a mistake. Like even if this was for some reason actually filmed separately to the show, he starts the season without his tattoos, there's no reason for them to forget that when they come to post the promo. Which suggests there was more to his plot with him somehow regaining his pre reboot body, but it didn't make it into the show.

The Bear, Season 3 PREDICTIONS

OKAY! So with The Bear premiering slightly earlier now, I wanted to go ahead and get my predictions (and maybe some delusional wishes) out on here because I just saw the still where Syd and Carmy are drinking tea after Carmy gets out of the fridge and I definitely had Syd being there when he got out of the walk-in. I never did get my fanfic out before the new season (although who knows. There’s still time!) so I hope I’ll still be in the headspace to finish it after I see the new episodes!

My Predictions:

Let’s start with Sydcarmy first. Oh, hell. This season is going to be one that drags us through all of the emotions. It’s already giving angst galore from all of the promos. A lot of us are worried about this ship, but I have to believe that while Storer may have not initially been on the sydcarmy train, we have a believer in Calo and loves love. We’ll be okay but it’s not going to always be pretty. We’re about to go through it, 100%, but I think the arduous emotional jouney will be worth it in the end (the end perhaps not being this season…). 

As mentioned, I predicted to myself that Syd would be waiting for Carmy when he finally is freed the walk-in refrigerator before I saw the image. To add to this, I believe this will be a very tense moment. Syd is incredibly disappointed with Carmy, but we’re going to get a hellava moment between the two in the very first episode. This moment is going to show just how deep Syd’s love (and I actually do mean in the friendship sense here) runs for Carmy. Despite Carmy already fucking up by not get the fridge fixed, we will get to see Syd give Carmy more grace than he deserves. But she is going to be skeptical as hell of him. He is going to seemingly change overnight and ignore all healthy ways of coping and go straight into this maniacal version of himself. 

They are about to put us through a Sydcarmy fight for the ages after Carmy does his whole partnership shit. But when I tell you this is going to remind us of the most dramatic romances we read on our Kindles, I mean it. Imagine this trope as one of those whole ass agreement list things that one or both of the romance leads (in a friends to lovers, especially) have. The agreement is done when the friends have an insane, amazing friendship and there’s more there, obviously, but they’re afraid to admit it. Sometimes they truly don’t even know that they like each other! In the case of Carmy, he is so avoidant of all of his feelings, he doesn’t even allow himself to think he likes her in this way. And even if he does recognize it, he certainly doesn’t know how to properly channel that into a romantic relationship with Sydney but he is 100% cognizant of the fact that he doesn’t want to lose her. That he CANNOT lose her. This agreement is done under the guide of a professional work agreement, but what he is proposing sounds more initamiate this just a work agreement. I honestly think it’s going to be jarring because on one hand Carmy believes this will lead to a star, but on the other hand what he’s trying to do starts to look and sound more like a non-platonic relationship.  

There is going to be a DREAM sequence that will make sydcarmy shippers happy. I just have this feeling or maybe this is me in delululand. Look. There were one too many damn dream sequence jokes for me to not take it seriously. I’m always a big believer that dream sequences should go big or go home; in fact, I’m trying to go through all of the dream sequences I’ve watched before in my head right now. I can’t think of one that did not involve kissing OR the wake-up-right-before-they-kiss moment at least. Think back to last month’s Polin (Bridgerton). I hope we get the kiss but I’ll even take the latter. BUT I’m going to go big and say that this may not even be a all heated and sexy dream. Um. What if it’s a Sydcarmy wedding!!!  

Syd and Carmy will sit next to each other at the funeral. There will be some comforting hand holding that is going to put us in a chokehold. I think Syd cries and Carmy comforts her. 

Ya know how Carmy helped Claire move whatever the hell furniture last season? Yeah, we’re gonna see a parallel of the moving thing when he helps Syd. We’re gonna get a Sydcarmy moment inside Sydney’s apartment and they’re going to talk about the future. This will be a great scene and will be use in all the future edits for sureee. Fantasyland me wants Carmy to say some shit like, “Syd, I don’t even know why you didn’t just move in with me?” “Carmy, use your head. You have one bedroom ? ? ?” “I would’ve taken the couch, nbd.”

Carmy sees Syd’s tattoos. I hope!! Perhaps this is in the dream sequence? Or maybe they have an actual conversation. Carmy tells Syd what one of his tattoos means. She does the same. But, forreal, this is a headcanon for me. 

To end the season, Syd and Carmy forreal do something that makes it hard to deny they are 100% in the platonic love category. They kiss and there is a conversation that rivals the under the table scene. Richie is the one who helps them get to this point. 

Sydney makes the decision to step away from Carmy a bit. Does she go to Ever? God, I hope not. But I think her health problems are going to be crazier (PLEASE STORER do not make her sick!!! I beg you!) and she can’t deal with Carmy’s shit any longer. I honestly think we’re going to see the season span months and the angst will be rough. Hopefully it’s one of those, “Three Months Later” things so we don’t actually have to see it. LOL Just get me to the end. 

Carmy is about to piss everyone off. I think we’re going to see Tina, Natalie, Richie, Sweeps, even Pete get into it with him. 

There will be a good number of flashbacks this season:

*Mikey in his last few months, weeks, and/or days leading up to his death 

*But also we’ll see some fun, sweet memories involving Mikey. Moments with Richie, Nat, and Carmy.

*Carmy as a chef before The Beef/The Bear. I’m so looking forward to these! 

*We are finally going to see Syd’s mom in flashbacks! 

Emanuael and Carmy meet. Syd’s dad will not like Carmy. He’s not gonna be impressed at all. They are going to talk and Carmy is going to do everything in his power to convince Emanuel he will be better for Syd and that she’s everything to him. Emanuel is going to give him some advice to win over Sydney. 

Richie is going to start dating and at least semi-successful. I think his redemption arc is still happening and specifically related to his relationships. Not gonna lie, I do actually like the idea of Jess and Richie and so I’m going to keep that in the mix and say Richie is the one who sets up Syd with the Ever guy. Richie will attend Tiff and Frank’s wedding. 

Syd and Marcus grow so much closer. Syd is going to serve as a supporting, loving friend to Marcus. They’re going to bond over the dead mom club. It’s going to be wonderful to see their friendship.

Donna is there for Nat. Perhaps she goes into labor and Donna is there to ease her nerves. It’s a wild moment for sure but a pretty poignant one. 

Luca. Dude. I don’t even know. I LOVE his character. I want him to, like, I’d love for him and Marcus to hook up. That would be the absolute best. Hell, I’d really love for Luca to be Sydney and starting flirting with her and with get to see jealous!Carmy! (PLEASE!) but I’ll settle for some flashback scenes. I guessss. Perhaps Luca comes help out at The Bear? I’d love that.

I’ve seen a lot of people say that The Bear will struggle greatly and close. I cannot deal with this LOL. I don’t want this to happen so I’m not going to predict it, but I think there will be some struggling. 

Tina’s story is gonna be emotional. Her journey into the kitchen is going to be one that happens because she desperately needs a job. We’re going to see her with Luis’ father. We are going to see her with Mikey. We’re going to see that she has always been bright and so capable. 

Claire. Man. I don’t like that she is even in this season, but I appreciate a great story and don’t think we can fully wrap this whole thing up if the walk-in fridge breakup was it. Fak is starting to get on my last nerves with his matchmaking shit lol but I think we will see Claire in at least a slightly different and enhanced light. Chris Storer is intentional in everything he does and I don’t believe for one second this doctor can be so surface level. Carmy may have this guilt eating him up and his trauma keeping him from  wanting anything good, but ultimately Carmy doesn’t actually want her. She’s meant to represent this nice person and serve merely as (physical) relief. But I don’t even know. I don’t think she and Carmy are endgame at all. I want Claire to tell Fak to stop his nonsense. I want her to understand her worth and not go back to Carmy after he said all of this shit about her (and not just because I love Sydcarmy but because I’m for the girlies knowing their worth!). 

What I would really love to happen is Claire cursing Carmy tf out. I’d love for Claire and Syd to have a one-on-one conversation and Sydney says something that exposes how she feels about Carmy to Claire. Awkwardness ensues. 

Okay. Damn. I started typing and I couldn’t stop. It was as if I was ten years old again and typing my predictions for the upcoming Harry Potter book. Dang. Take me back to those days! Those prediction threads were unreal. Tell me your predictions!

Tag Game Tuesday Monday: 911 Lone Star Fandom Edition

It took me nearly a week to get to it, but thanks Anne @thisbuildinghasfeelings for tagging me!!!

When did you first start watching Lone Star? Who or what introduced you to the show?

Funnily enough, I was watching the Super Bowl in 2020 and was folding laundry when they showed a promo from Lone Star and it was the part where they were talking to the old lady and I heard "Sure ma'am but just so you know I'm a homosexual" and I looked up because that was VERY random for a commercial to say and I the rest of the scene aired and I thought it was one of the best things I've ever seen lmao.

I actually did not start watching the show until 1x08 when TK got shot and I was HOOKED. I remember having to miss the season 1 finale to go to the grocery and checking my twitter account to see if Tarlos got together in the end ajkdhafdas

Which season is your favorite?

Season 3!

I'll never forget the EXPERIENCE that Push was. I was on a whole rollercoaster of emotions and I remember watching the TK waking up and Grace giving birth montage live and when it went off, my husband sitting behind me and very quietly going "whoa." We were both SHOOK. And then the proposal happened in 3x18 and I slunk off my couch because I was dying happily.

I think my rank is 3, 4 bc of the wedding and SOULMATES!!!, 2, and then 1. I really did like season 2 but you can tell Tim kind of bum rushed the ending dalkhdf

Who is your favorite character? (Bonus: If you answered TK or Carlos, who is your favorite besides them?)

TK and Carlos will always be number one and I cannot pick a favorite between them. They're both so complex and interesting.

I think my second favorite has got to be Tommy. She always just *fit* in the show better than Michelle and I think she's hilarious and smart and her friendship with Grace and Judd are my favorites. Plus, I love how she and Owen play off each other.

If you could pick any character to be given a "begins" episode, who would it be and what would that episode look like?

After season 4- I kind of NEED a Carlos one. I always want one and I think we learned a lot about him last season, but 4x18 opened a lot more questions about his childhood for me. Especially since he genuinely doesn't seem to remember a lot of the good times with his dad and it makes me curious if there is some underlying reason why other than just distance as he grew up.

But also NANCY. What is her backstory?? Her dad told her to start saving when she was little and she has thousands of dollars that she can lend out?? I want to know if there is more to it! And how did she get her start? Was she with the original 126 paramedic squad?

What is a scenario or storyline that you would like to see in season 5?

Obviously Gabriel's murder being solved and it would be great if Tarlos did it TOGETHER. And if one of them is in dangerous peril at the same time in front of the other- would not complain. I'm all for a "being threated and stalked" kind of storyline- I was thinking of along the lines of The Watcher by @ladytessa74 I want to be scared!! And to watch them be scared and IN LOVE AND A TEAM

I saw this earlier, but an episode from like B-shifts POV. You know that Owen and the firefam respond to the most INSANE calls, so I want to see what B shift and Captain Harper's POV is towards A shift. I think it would be hilarious.

Also- give me some silliness within the Catan Crew. Like maybe someone gets a little TOO into a game and then we have an episode of them all pranking each other or a little funny divide- similar to 4x16, but without them actually fighting.

What do you think is going on in this still?

I think it's either about Gabriel's murder or them finding out that Robert is dead. Rob Lowe said we'd see part of that day so I wonder if we will see the aftermath since I don't think Robert necessarily died within a week after the wedding.

We all know about the elusive 5x05 spicy scene that has been teased, so what is your prediction for how it could possibly top 1x02?

I think it could DEF be some *spicy* shower sex. If TK get's injured in 504, Carlos should help make him feel all nice and healed in the SHOWER

Where was the Tarlos honeymoon in your mind?

I think somewhere in Texas like Galveston. It's not too far away, but I think it's far enough to where TK and Carlos would feel okay leaving both their parents for a short trip. I headcanon that they spent A LOT of money on a quick 8 week wedding *cries in timeline* and so they'd have to save up for a bigger and longer honeymoon.

More clarification on Dybowski's position within Ice Pick Lodge today from IPL ex-employee Luchin, after yesterday's comments.

Sorry for posting so much in the patho tag, but unfortunately it's what's best for visibility. I have, and will be, using the "Dybowski Allegations" tag for any post on this, so please block that tag if you don't want to see it.

Since my post yesterday on Alexey Luchin's comments/allegations against Dybowski, he has given Reddit some updates and clarifications. I'll summarise the Reddit thread, but quote Luchin in full for transparency.

The thread is on the topic of Dybowski's current involvement with IPL/Pathologic 3. Commenters stated that he has sold the company, and hasn't been very involved with the games since The Void (2008). Whether this is a valid interpretation of Luchin's earlier statements was discussed, and the fact that he's been a main P2 writer and involved with a lot of promo stuff over the years was brought up. Luchin, after being pinged, showed up to clarify:

Russian companies often use a "fake owner" for various reasons, this is the case here. Motivations may be to avoid alimony, to ease money transfers between the main company part in Kazakhstan and the original main company and it's Cyprus subordinary. It is not illegal, and even not a loophole, though. I wouldn't dwell on that much. It's important what people work in the studio factually.

Yep, I'd say it's up to the currently employed to shed light reliably. But in general around after the Void he was more of an broad ideas guy — and a good one, it wasn't my intent to downplay him in that regard. At the same time, game development is a multistage process, and from my personal knowledge, I can attribute a lot of the new games qualities to "fresh blood", and the other co-founders acting more professional. E.g. Alphyna has covered a decent chunk of actual writing on Pathologic 2 and had a pivotal role in maintaining the timeline of events of the game, charater motivations, etc together. Ivan Slovtsov carried the detailed game design and balancing with his team — which gave him a good position in tinyBuild after, etc. IPL is to some extent an autere game company, with the source and numerous modifications coming from Nikolay, but in my time his input was irregural, disrupting, and in my personal opinion wasn't often for the good of the game. At the same time, the fresh blood in the studio grew on the principles on which the studio was founded and successfully carries its legacy already. This is an opinion, though, still. Personally, I'll still play Pathologic 3, it's great, from what I know / have seen. And all my posts here are done with a heavy heart — it's not easy to be dissapointed in a talanted figure such as Dybowsky myself.

So, based on this (keep in mind Luchin himself has stated to have no contact with Dybowski himself since 2018, although it feels fair to assume he'd still be in contact with other former coworkers) the exact role of Dybowski in the creation of these games seems a little unclear. But I also don't think anyone's been debating whether he's been involved up until p3, as much as how deeply involved he is in p3.

Ultimately, it's up to everyone to decide for themselves where they stand in terms of opinion on p3, buying the game, sticking around in the fandom, supporting the studio, et cetera., but that's the new info.

To just give my own personal two cents: I am still in the position I was yesterday, which is that I believe IPL has to make a statement on all of this, and cut ties with Dybowski, before I'll be completely comfortable giving them money. However, I do also want to acknowledge the fact that this is not a black and white situation, and that the discourse surrounding this does warrant some level of nuance. I'm, of course, speaking in relation to the other people working at IPL.

It's incredibly easy to say both, "Dybowski is not his team; they should never be punished for his actions," and "they may have helped cover for him for twenty years; they should be held responsible." Silence is, to a degree, complicity, and if Luchin is to be believed not just in his "open secret" statement but also here, in reference to the student grooming allegations:

That's the Nema-Soda episode around the same time previous accusations surfaced. Well known in the Russian segment of the internet.

That's bad. If this truly has been this out in the open and known, that's really fucking bad, and I want this company - at least its management - to be held responsible for their potential silence and complicity in this.

But, at risk of sounding like I'm excusing any of this, I do also want to remind you that according to Luchin, as well as earlier testimonies including Renata's, this is also a person who is also known for being incredibly vindictive. He is also pretty rich by Russian standards, and has held a level of influence in academia and the Russian game dev community for many, many years. I don't know exactly how his vindictiveness would take its form, especially not against employees, but I've been in toxic workplaces before - it can be scary, downright terrifying, to go after or even up against someone like this. No matter how shitty they are, especially if you're not in a country with good whistleblower laws (and just, in general, a system which will take the original allegations seriously, which... I'm not Russian, but I'm allowing myself some possibly problematic doubt that you'd be able to comfortably know that. I come from a significantly more progressive country, and I would absolutely not take it for certain) it can be incredibly difficult to stand up for what's right and take that risk to your livelihood, safety, and future job prospects. Especially in a job market so (relatively) niche as Russian game development. I'm also pretty damn sure there's not a union, or anything like it, to back you up if you get inofficially retaliated against.

Human being end up in abusive situations and find themselves, for one reason or another, not doing anything about it all the time. SA victims don't always report their perpetrator. Fraud victims don't always come forward. People subjected to wage theft don't always call their union reps. And others, those who witness it, don't always do it either. Sometimes because it's not their place, sometimes because they don't care, and sometimes because they're afraid. I don't think it's fair to assume everyone is in the second category, just as how I wouldn't think it's fair to assume everyone is in any of the others - it'd be absurd to assume every IPL worker doesn't want to out someone else's victimhood, which is why they haven't said anything publicly, for example. However, not reporting is an incredibly common blame to put on a victim or witness, because it's assumed that by not reporting it, they're essentially enabling the perpetrator to do it again. And I personally just don't think that's just - not without knowing what else weighed into a person's decision not to speak up.

I'm not saying this absolves all of IPL. I especially don't think it absolves the people at the top with Dybowski, who would have been more protected than the bottom-line workers. I simply am asking for some honest-to-god nuance. Personally, I'm still not happy to give IPL any money - not until I know Dybowski is not getting any of it, and measures have been taken to protect their other employees. But I'm also not interested in broad brushing an entire company of twenty years as evil, because the employees haven't made (english) publically available attempts at getting this guy out. We know, by his own accord, Luchin didn't - we know nothing of the others. A conversation with a manager that went badly is not likely to become public knowledge. People lamenting their powerlessness to stop someone to their colleagues or friends won't reach us. Someone quietly resigning because they can't do this anymore, but not being willing to put themselves on the line, is not a detail we're going to have.

I'm happy the silence has, hopefully irrevocably and undeniably, been broken. I'm hoping some people, Dybowski in particular, will face justice, or at least consequences. I hope Renata and her son, as well as Dybowski's other children, are safe and happy. I hope that IPL will do something, and move forward as a better company.

I want them to make a statement about this. That's non-negiotiable, for me, personally. I also want to see a change, and a better company with a better work culture going forward, making games and nurturing a community safely away from all this shit.

However, I accept the grim possibility that this will never happen, and am trying to decide on what that means for me personally moving forward with the fandom. I don't have any moral qualms about piracy, that's not what this is about. And that's the wider conversation I think I personally will need more, moving forward, in regards to my relationship with Pathologic.

That's my two cents.

It was now 10 am both Y/n and Rhea never went back to sleep. Everyone was now awake in the house. Dominik decided to make strawberries and cream crepes as it's y/n's favorite breakfast to eat. She didn't feel sick the rest of the morning and because of it being smackdown tonight and it just so happened to be in the city where the couples home was they didn't have to travel far today which made Y/n very happy. All 5 of them were members of Judgement day but the group already knew Y/n wasn't scheduled to be on the show tonight so she called Hunter (triple H for those who don't know) and let him know she wouldn't be in the building as she didn't feel good. The others however all had either fights or promos to do so Rhea took the lead and called in reinforcement. Who was the reinforcement you may ask well it was three of Y/n's best friends in wwe who they knew weren't scheduled to be on tonight. They were Becky, Seth and Liv. All people who either helped train her or had been by her side dating back to her NTX days especially Becky and Liv they were her best friends and Seth decided to come with Becky to come help cheer Y/n up. "So how exactly did you feel last nigh" Liv asked curious as she had a cousin who was a nurse so she knew a bit about health and medical stuff. "Well it was kinda just out of the blue I woke up and felt super sick and like throwing up" Y/n said "Ok well have you felt like that at all the rest of the day" Becky now asked as the wheels in her brain started turning. Y/n replied "Nope I've actually felt fine the rest of the day just a but restless and sleep and haven't been tired since I woke up" "ok and remind me what time this was again" Seth now said now believing he was thinking the same as his wife. "Ok I get you guys are trying to help but what's with all the questions" Y/n asked slightly agitated now with all the questions. Becky replied "Well what's your description sounds like morning sickness which is common in pregnancy" "That's exactly what I was starting to think" Liv and Seth said at the same time. Seth chimed in again "I remember Becky struggled with that a decent amount when she was pregnant with Roux"." Wait so you guys think I'm pregnant " Y/n said in a shocked tone "Well I'm not saying you 100% are but it's possible especially if you guys have been having unprotected sex especially recently" Becky explained. Silence filled the room Liv was the one to break it "Do you have any tests here or do you need to buy one or two" "Two would be more ideal because it's better to do two than one I remember my first test was negative then I took another it was positive I went to the doctors later that day and turns out I was pregnant" Becky said. "I can go drive to a store real quick and pick up a two pack if you don't have any" Seth offered. "Well this was never expected this early so we don't have any so if you wouldn't mind running to grab some I would appreciate it" Y/n said in a hushed tone. "Ya I'll go run right now" and with that Seth left the three girls alone while he went to go buy some pregnant tests.

Guess who completely missed I've been posting on Ao3 for over a year now, so to celebrate that almost two weeks later, behold! Self-promo!

I know, I know, but I suppose since I've been going for a year(???) now I might as well give a little Summary on what the hell I've been doing over on the Ao3, and also have a bit of fun with it in the process.

So, who the hell am I? I'm Manda Shiroselia EquestrianEquivalent, and apparently I'm an Ao3 publisher now. Sentence I never thought I'd say, but here we are!

What do I write? Well, primarily I write for Fire Emblem, Honkai Star Rail, and Star Stable Online. More precisely, I'm a character dynamics connossieur, which means I'm mostly writing character interaction and/or ship-focused fics because that's what I find the most fun! I generally average about 3-5k on my oneshots, but there are shorter (and longer) ones, so if length is something you're particularly picky about, you'll have variety in there, promise.

My personal favourite choices of the Fire Emblem variety are, coincidentally, my two most recent Fire Emblem fics! Soft Pegasus Feathers, and Dream of Me.

In terms of HSR, well, I've written. a lot of those, but I'm particularly, well, well-known might be a stretch, but those of you who subscribe to JingFu might recognize me for my most popular fic, Better Luck Next Time, or for my newest piece of insanity, KONTORSRENOVERING.

Better Luck Next Time is probably the best introduction to my writing style you will ever find, especially since it's kind of responsible for me finding my style, and it's also incredibly funny, if I do say so myself.

KONTORSRENOVERING is a great introduction to my particular niche, which I like to describe as "It could've been a fanart, but I'm glad it's a fic." If you read it you'll know exactly what i mean by that! Both of them are fics I hold very near and dear, so obviously I recommend each of them in particular.

And as for what I write for SSO? Well. I don't know if you have ever sorted that tag by word count, but if you have, you might have come across a certain little fic called A Quintessential Jorvegian Summer Vacation.

Which is, well, a lot of things. It's the entire reason I started publishing on Ao3 to begin with, my life's work pretty much, arguably my magnum opus really, and the entire reason my friends both discovered and has since never let me live down how fucking nuts I am.

It is the most taxing out of all my works, since, you know, check that chapter count:word count and you'll understand. I'm currently in the middle of reposting the last 4 chapters, because yes I've rewritten every single one of the first 24 chapters and counting, and once that is done, I'm going to rewrite the entire fic. Which is really just a first draft into a second draft, but considering how much I've changed as a writer throughout the 10 months I wrote this behemoth of a fic (first draft clocked in at 280k words so you can imagine how much effort this fucker took), it needs some maintainance.

With that being said, even if you don't know what the fuck a Star Stable Online is, I genuinely suggest you check this out anyways, because I legitimately think it works really well as just a standalone horse adventure magic fantasy. And a tragedy. Apparently. Supposedly. According to my friends who know too much about this fic.

It's going to take a fuck ass while to publish this entire thing, and I talk about it all the time on this blog, but there is so much love put into this fic, and I'm not abandoning it ever, it will be published, mark my word.

So that's essentially a "quick" summary of what the fuck I'm doing over there at the Ao3s. This mentioned like half of the roster, so there are a few more things over there if you're curious. And there's more to come, like a lot more to come.

For example, I'm currently working on two longer HSR fics, one starring Himeko and Pom-Pom, and the other starring Jiaoqiu featuring Bailu and Lingsha. I've also gotten way too into Zenless Zone Zero, and I'm definitely going to write a few fics for that, so far every one of them featuring Nicole. Other than that I have a lot of silly Fire Emblem ideas lying about (most of them related to Awakening, which means more Chromia in particular), and I'm no stranger to just throwing out a fic for the hell of it, so you might even be surprised!

That said I was thinking about how it’s weird I’ve never made either a Buddie adopt another kid or Buck obtains a child fic, I love making up children for characters…. Maybe that’ll get added to the slate…

And of course we’ll see what inspiration the new season brings…

--Day of the Exhibition--

The exhibition center is packed with staff running around, everyone trying their best to set up the final details for Joshua’s exhibition - and you couldn’t be more anxious about it.

“Liz, have all the invitations been sent out?”

“Yes ma’am, we’re only expecting the guests to arrive during the opening” one of the assistants confirms, doing her best to help you.

“Thank you, sweetheart, you can carry on with the rest” you pat her back, watching her walk away. You sigh audibly, your hands resting on your waist, when you suddenly feel another pair of hands on top of yours, turning your head around to see none other than Joshua resting his chin on your shoulder.

“How is the best PR of the universe doing?” 

“She’s trying her best to promote her boyfriend’s hard work” you exhale, looking around the venue, all of the pictures now hanging off the walls, framed and secure.

"I think she's doing a wonderful job" Joshua pecks your cheek, "Try not to exhaust yourself in the process though, love, I want you to be stress-free and enjoy it tonight, okay?"

"Don't worry about me, Shua, I'll be okay" you return the kiss, "Besides, you know I can handle it, right?"

"Never doubted your skills, love" he hugs you closer to his body, "I'll leave you be now"

"See you around, Joshie" you bid him farewell for the time being, focusing on the tasks at hand. You suddenly remember you had forgotten your phone on silent mode and check for any notifications, your expression turning sour when you see a lot of unread messages from Mingyu.

"Tch, that bastard…." you curse under your breath. Despite knowing how he texts and speaks when he's with you, it still irks you, especially when you're in such a close proximity to Joshua - let alone the venue for his exhibition.

Part of you wants to reply to him and shut him down, but the urge to completely ignore his messages eventually wins, so you choose to do that, sliding your phone in your pocket.

You do one last check around the space and you nod off to Liz, waving goodbye as you exit the center. 

Right before texting Joshua, your phone rings and you check the caller, just a number flashing on the screen - but you know better to decline it, because you're sure as fuck it's Mingyu calling you.

You wave for a cab to take you home, hoping the ride won't be tiring, so you can get enough time to rest before the grand event.

Mingyu feels frustrated. And it's been a long time since he last felt this frustrated.

He knows you're busy, but it's not like you haven't dropped your stuff for him before. 

One of the things Mingyu absolutely despises is being treated as a secondary character in his own game.

"The audacity of this bitch" he scoffs, throwing his phone on the couch and moving over to the large windows, enjoying the view of the city, casually sipping on his coffee and preparing for today's schedules.

His phone rings and he smiles when he sees a familiar name on the screen.

"Jeonghan hyung! It's so good to hear you"

"Good morning Mingyu! How's your morning going, model boy?"

"It's…hectic, I gotta admit"

"Busy schedules?"

"Yeah, got a LV photoshoot in an hour and I'm not even done with my coffee" Mingyu groans.

"Well, that's the life of a supermodel, Gyu, you gotta stick with it" Jeonghan chuckles from the other end of the line.

"Oh I'm not gonna drop this shit any time soon - too many pros with this job" 

"Speaking of which, it reminds me - The opening of the club is tonight….and…"

"And you want me to attend?"

"Well duh you genius" Jeonghan laughs.

"Truth is…" Mingyu walks towards his closet, opening it to check his available options, "I really wanna attend because you've put a shitton of money and workload in that club and I trust your taste in alcohol"

"But…?"

"But I don't know if I'll make it, because I have to attend an exhibition tonight" 

"Aw come on, you and your artsy shit!"

"What? I like photography! Can't I have a hobby?" Mingyu whines in protest, eyes shining when he notices a red suit and matching dress pants in his closet, taking it out and examining it carefully, devious thoughts crossing his mind.

"Hey, earth to Kim Mingyu? Are you there?"

"Yeah, still here - Gotta go now though, time is ticking and I don't wanna be late to the shoot"

"Okay, I won't pressure you, kid - Hoping I'll see you tonight!" Jeonghan ends the call.

Mingyu keeps staring at his striking red suit hanging in front of his closet, smirking like an imp, already knowing how he's gonna put it to use.

"I'm so gonna fuck up everything tonight".

–Exhibition opening–

People have already started filling the venue, their attention already gathered around Joshua's photos and you actually feel calm, after a long time, which is a wonderful change.

You can see the happiness and pride written all over Joshua's face, watching him discuss with some of the guests, congratulating him for his work.

All of a sudden, you hear commotion at the entrance of the venue, noticing the flashing cameras go into an amok, some muffled screaming echoing through the door.

Your blood runs cold when Mingyu enters the venue, dressed in a long black coat, a flaming red, fitted suit, a professional camera strapped around his body.

He notices you and locks eyes with you for a brief moment, before walking over to the pictures, seemingly looking at them.

So much for being calm, I guess.

Mingyu feels beyond satisfied with your reaction, watching you from afar, struggling to keep your perfect facade on, while every single guest in the exhibition has their eyes set on him, making him the center of attention once more.

He must admit, though - he enjoys looking at the pictures Joshua has taken, snapping a few with his own camera. 

Fucker has talent, I'll give him that, he thinks with a small scoff, accepting a flute of champagne from a passing by waiter.

He takes a walk through one of the corridors, until he reaches the end, a large black and white picture of a body shadow sitting next to a window frame.

All of his blood rushes towards his head, the veins on his neck starting to bulge, his hand gripping the delicate champagne glass to the point it starts creaking.

He's getting mad, because the body shadow belongs to none other than you.

The amount of jealousy he's experiencing now is nearly pathological - he knows you're taken, he knows you're not naked in the picture yet he feels a borderline unhealthy possessiveness over your picture and indirectly you - no one should be able to look at you in moments like those, except for him.

"Beautiful, isn't she?"

Joshua's voice snaps Mingyu out of his trail of thoughts, the sweet tone making him mentally gag, but he manages to keep a neutral expression on, preparing himself to start a civil conversation.

"Exquisite, if I'm allowed to say that" Mingyu laughs, raising his camera to snap a picture, "You've done a wonderful job, Hong"

"Why thank you, mr. Kim" Joshua chuckles, "I'm glad to see you here tonight - You always had a knack for photography"

"True" Mingyu adds, instinctively looking behind him, noticing you looking towards him and Joshua, your expression unreadable.

"I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for her, you know" Joshua comments as he looks at you, sharing a small smile with you, noticing Mingyu's jawline flexing from the corner of his eye.

"Not everyone is lucky to have a muse like her" he scoffs, downing the rest of his champagne.

Joshua doesn't respond to Mingyu's snarky comment - he merely pats his back, walking towards the center of the venue, gathering the attention of the guests as he's about to speak from the podium.

“First of all, I would like to thank everyone who is here tonight, seeing so many of you attending this exhibition makes me feel extremely happy and honored - feels like I’ve actually done a decent job with these” he jokes while pointing towards his pictures, the crowd sharing his amusement.

“I’ve made lots of decisions in the past - I’m not proud of all of them. But there is one that I’m the most proud of - and that’s not ditching my first date with Y/N” he adds, looking at you with such fondness and love, your heart jumping at the direct compliment in front of everyone.

Joshua puts down his champagne flute, walking until he’s in front of you, right in the center of the venue. Loud whispers and chatting erupts among the guests, effectively covering the scoff Mingyu lets out, his gut churning at the still unfolding scene.

“It took me a lot of courage to ask you out for the first time and it took me double of that courage to ask of you one more thing” he gulps down, Adam’s apple bobbing as he bends down on one knee, taking a small jewelry box out of his pocket.

“Shua, what are you doing?” you ask him with a shaky voice, your brain short-circuiting.

“I think it’s pretty obvious, angel” he chuckles, opening the velvety box to reveal a beautiful ring, a small diamond snuggly sitting on the top of the silver band.

“Y/N L/N, will you do me the honor and marry me?”

Gasps and all kinds of surprised noises fill the venue, but it feels like you’re going numb, head spinning and blocking out every single noise, focusing only on Joshua.

“Fuck, yes, yes, a million times yes!” you yell between your tears, falling into his arms, your now soon to be husband catching you.

The crowd is cheering on you and the cameras go crazy, happiness and enthusiastic clapping filling the atmosphere.

But Mingyu is far from happy. On the contrary, he’s fucking fuming.

You've barely spared a glance at him tonight, not to mention ignoring every single one of his messages - and now you added the cherry on top. Or the knife through the cake, because he feels like he’s been brutally backstabbed. 

He storms out of the exhibition center, blatantly ignoring the flashing cameras and the paparazzi microphones pushed towards him, ducking into his car and sprinting away without hesitation.

"Fucking hell…" he runs his hand through his hair, pulling it in frustration. He couldn't believe his fucking eyes - of all the things, a wedding proposal? 

He knows you've been with Joshua a long time now, but something inside him makes him so infernally mad and jealous.

Who the fuck does she think she is? 

Who the fuck does she think I am?

Those are the things running laps in Mingyu's brain now - he started this game, yet he got played in the worst way possible tonight.

"I need a fucking drink" he groans in annoyance, easily manoeuvring through the streets, thinking about his options to drink his feels away and then it clicks - 

Jeonghan's private club.

Coincidentally, the opening is ongoing and he's already well dressed - a perfect situation.

Fifteen minutes later, Mingyu is parking right in front of the club, choosing to discard his coat and the camera, sliding out of his Mustang and making a beeline for the club entrance, flashing some quick smiles for the cameras covering the opening event, yet he brushes off the complaints of the people waiting on the seemingly endless line.

“Well shit, you actually made it!” Jeonghan exclaims as soon as he sees Mingyu walk past the tinted glass doors of the club, greeting the younger man with a tight hug. 

“There was no way I’d miss it, hyung” Mingyu reciprocates the hug, ”Besides, I could use a few drinks right now”

“Rough night?”

“You could say that”

“...Girl trouble again?”

“Sort of? I dunno, man” Mingyu runs a hand through his hair, a kind of stressed exhale leaving his mouth.

“Come on, Gyu, relax - The night is still young and you’re here to have fun!” Jeonghan pats his back, leading him to the VIP section of the club - a black velvet couch with a love seat, a glass table with porcelain legs and gold linings - fitting for a celebrity of his caliber.

“Try not to ruin everything, model boy!”

“No promises!” Mingyu yells back with a cheeky smile, making himself comfortable on the lavish seat.

He starts by ordering a bottle of Double Black, pouring glass after glass, drinking without stopping, in hopes to forget the events of the exhibition.

It hurt his ego - badly, at that. 

About an hour and an empty bottle later, Mingyu starts feeling numb enough to enjoy the loud music, laying back on the couch, manspreading as he watches over the dance floor, the crowd drunkenly dancing and grinding on each other, without worries.

"Life's fucking good, man" he takes another sip of his drink. 

Mingyu notices two girls looking towards him, giggling and drinking their cocktails, his chest swelling with pride, knowing how smitten they already are over him - the red suit was definitely an excellent choice.

He raises his hand, waving at them with a lopsided smirk, the girls reciprocating the gesture.

It doesn't take them long to walk over to where he is, both of them sitting next to him.

"Hey there handsome" the blonde girl left to Mingyu, the brunette sitting on his right. 

"What are two beauties like you doing here tonight?" Mingyu takes a sip from his glass, looking back and forth between them.

"Exactly what you're doing, mister hot red suit" the brunette giggles, clearly tipsy from the way she's trailing her hand on his thigh.

"We're just here to have fun and get drunk!"

"Is that so?" he playfully raises his eyebrow, one hand on the blonde's inner thigh, the other draped over the brunette's shoulders.

He gets up and walks over to the bartender, casually throwing his black card on the marble counter, swiftly asking to charge the henny bottles on the card, along with the drinks the two girls ordered, returning to his newfound company within a few minutes.

“We could have fun and get drunk at my place, if you want so” he proposes with a devious glint swirling in his eyes, the other two girls immediately catching onto what he means.

They look at each other, smiling like two little devils as they pick their stuff and they put their arms around his waist, giggling about their newfound luck.

Mingyu waves farewell to Jeonghan before exiting the club, the older man exhaling dramatically before turning back to his own drink.

"This kid will never learn."

“Good morning, angel” Joshua greets you with a soft kiss on your lips, “Slept well?”

“Went out like a light” you smile back, heart sinking when your soon to be fiancé is so sweet with you, beaming with happiness and you're just…lying right into his face.

You didn't sleep at all last night - The image of Mingyu leaving the exhibition the moment you said yes to his proposal, a stern, almost disappointed expression on his face before he disappeared from the exhibition.

"So, what's on the plan today?" Joshua asks, casually taking a sip from his coffee.

"Hmm, I haven't thought about it yet, to be honest" you hum, opening your phone to do the usual scrolling through the news.

Your phone screen is filled with online magazines and posts reproducing the same pictures and headlines, your body suddenly buzzing with rage.

"Supermodel or troublemaker? Kim Mingyu causes ruckus once again"

"Kim Mingyu goes viral for his sexcapades"

"Goddamnit…." you grit your teeth as you look at the pictures of Mingyu drinking with two other girls, touching him inappropriately and then you see the Instagram stories posted by one of the girls, drunkenly dancing on his lap while he's smoking - most likely in his apartment.

She's half naked, holding a bottle of expensive whiskey, drinking from it and laughing like her life depends on it.

"What's wrong, love?" Joshua notices your strained expression.

"Nothing, I'm just….Ugh, remember that old friend of yours? Mingyu?"

"Yeah, he was at the exhibition last night"

"Seems like he didn't visit just the exhibition" you exhale, showing the articles to Joshua, a disgusted look making its way on his face.

"I don't like using those words for other people but…He's such a manwhore" he spits with a slightly venomous tone.

Joshua's words don't make you feel any better though - you were fucking this so called manwhore behind his back like, four days ago?

But now you're about to get married to your lovely boyfriend, right?

So why do you feel like rushing out of the house and going to find Mingyu?

Ironically enough, Mingyu feels way more jealous than you do.

The girls on his king sized bed are still sound asleep, but he has never felt so restless and jealous before.

You were supposed to be his and his only - but you just discarded him like a torn shirt, rushing back to your charming prince. 

"Fucking bitch…" he scoffs, downing his umpteenth glass of scotch, groaning in annoyance when he realizes the bottle is now empty.

Mingyu throws it across the living room, smashing it to tiny pieces, the loud noise startling the girls in his bedroom.

They rush into the living room, panic written all over their faces, looking at him with wide eyes.

"What the fuck are you two looking at? Get out of here" his speech is slightly slurred, the two girls frozen in their spots.

"Are you deaf or stupid? Get the fuck out of here! Now!" Mingyu yells and they both yelp, scrambling to pick up their clothes and shoes, hastily disappearing behind the door of the apartment.

Silence falls in the space, but it's louder than any other noise he has ever heard in his life. He gets up, picking up his lighter and the half open pack of cigarettes, sliding one out, balancing it on his lips, swiftly lighting it up. He leans down on the couch, puffing out a cloud of smoke, mindlessly staring at the ceiling.

"God, I'm so fucked up."

I'm pretty sure Squid Sisters were already pretty popular back in the Splatoon 1-Splatoon 2 days. After all, their relationship, agent lives and family drama was the main focus of the plot (among saving the squid society). And even nowadays, people still love them. They're THE Splatoon icons. Have you forgotten how people went crazy over the Reporter Callie outfit? There were fanarts everywhere!

Off The Hook are also really interesting - they played a huge part in Octo Expansion (you know, the DLC with the biggest, darkest, most liked lore and aesthetic?) and in Side Order, we also know their backstories (especially Marina's backstory is pure fanfic material, people love the angsty deserter trope + she was a breath of fresh air and a mystery as a first important non-enemy octoling character ever). Not to mention that they're literal canon lesbians with healthy and interesting dynamics.

What do we know about Deep Cut?? They've got nothing going on. They were villains in the Splatoon 3 storymode but mind you, not even the main villains. They grew up together, they come from some prestigious families that aren't mentioned ANYWHERE outside of the Sunken Scrolls, we know nothing about them. They don't have backstories, they don't have interesting dynamics (they're just 3 random people and their bond isn't even shown to be that strong, of course people prefer the SS family drama or OTH lesbian romance). Deep Cut is boring, of course people don't care about them, don't blame us, blame Nintendo for neglecting them.

Also, stop acting like you're better than others because you don't care about the icky romance and give deserved equal attention to every poor idol that gets overshadowed by the lesbians. People DO care about other Splatoon characters. There are fanarts of the Agents (Agent 24 is problably the second most popular ship right after Pearlina), non-idol Splatbands, even Craig Cuttlefish and Octavio! Maybe you'll see all this content if you stop exclusively browsing only the pearlina tag. Also accept that Deep Cut is boring.

Okay, I don't have all the time to type up an entire essay (tbh I lowkey admire the effort of writing four paragraphs just to bitch on me for having an opinion), so I'm gonna summarise my result.

I don't follow the pearlina tags. The only Splatoon tags I follow are Splatoon and the promo kids tag. Used to follow more but I have my reasons for unfollowing the other ones. (They were mostly agent ships, for clarity.)

I know other people care about the others. I'm just saying that when stuff like this rolls around it's never seen because everyone talking about pearlina gets top spots on this site and no one gives attention to anything else, so everything else is hard to see. This is mostly a recent development with grandfest, but even so Pearlina overshadows a LOT. For me, the Callie suit was actually a rare case of the community not focusing on them.

i know the Squid Sisters were popular in their first games. That's the point. Y'all are sitting out here talking about the old idols and ignoring the ones we're supposed to be paying attention to.

So what if the deep cut members don't have much lore to their names? I'm in the promo kid fandom! They have literally only their names and people don't have a problem coming up with headcanons and engaging stories for them. Just be creative. That's what fandom is for.

Believe it or not, I know Pearl and Marina featured in side order and octo expansion. I know they have a healthy dynamic. Surprise surprise, I've played the games too. I have both DLCs and have completed both. I know. That's not my point.

i also know that there are poeople out there caring about other characters. Like I said, I'm in the promo kid fandom. It's just that whenever pearl and marina appear on screen, any trace of that is immediately overshadowed and made ten times harder to find. And I rarely have the time to go hunting through tags.

I'm not trying to act like I'm better. I'm not guilty of pearlina posting, but I'm not much better either. I'm just stating how I feel and how i see things. If you've got a problem with that, great, but don't insult me for my feelings. It's your choice how you react to things. If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say it.

So in order to try out the format I started with Marcus and what is now the Sweet Jane series. I have plans for those two, I have how they met mapped out in my head, that I hope to explore soon!

It started as a one-shot, that then was three parts, then four and finally finished at five. It’s also the only series I’ve managed to complete 😆. I’m so proud of this one, it has a special place in my heart - this is the ending Joel deserves, living on a little farmhouse being taken care of and a reluctant chicken dad.

This was a late night epiphany - where I realised that I was trying to force writing and make my two OG series’ fit into more palatable moulds for others consumption rather than writing the story I wanted. It’s also a good reminder that it’s okay to take a break from something that isn’t currently serving you. If you come back to it two day later, two weeks later or never - it’s okay. You’re not beholden to anyone. This is all supposed to be fun first and foremost, if you’re not having fun then it may be time to step back and re-evaluate.

I made the decision to watch a walkthrough of all the cut scenes of TLOU2 and it broke me. I knew what was coming, but knowing and watching were two different things. I do like that I left this one open to interpretation - meaning I can revisit one day if I want, so who knows.

before the Night Springs DLC comes out in supposedly 3 days [fuckin christ] i wanna share my quick lil theory on the versions of Sam and Casey in the Dark Place

i wanna fully believe that both Dark Place Actor Sam and Dark Place Book Casey share the same body. this is probably a theory that some people have but, i havent looked into the tags in months so i wouldnt know. but i know of a lot of good pieces of evidence to support it.

first one being the obvious; they're never in the same place, at least physically. every scene where Alan meets Sam or Casey, they're never together and have no indications of ever inter outside of the scenes theyre in. i bring up the physical part because, technically, they were both in the second episode of the Talk show together where Sam is sitting next to Alan and Casey shows up as an echo "promoting" the movie, and in the small loop in the theater where Sam is tied up and Casey is just a voice and his echo verbally fighting himself. i'm gonna come back to the theater part later tho.

second, i believe its implied that the "audience" in the Dark Place believe Casey taking over the body is Sam "slipping into character", when really its a cover up. when Sam is on the talk show and him and Door show Alan the lil "promo", it shows Sam dressed as Casey, not moving his mouth, but monologuing in Casey's voice. this is important to note since, when Alan meets Casey for the first time in the allay way, he hears the Casey voice and automatically assumes its Sam. as if he thinks a man with a normal pitched thick Finnish accent can accurately replicate the voice of a gruff low-pitched American man. this scene is crucial in letting Alan know Casey is an actual person, not just an actor playing a character, and Alan isnt the only one to know this.

third, Sam and Casey dont realize they're in the same immortal body. this is where i go back to the theater loop scene. Sam is tied up in the chair likely by the members of the Cult of the Word, and when found by Alan, says "you've got the wrong guy, i'm not Alex Casey, i only play him the movies." remember before this though that Casey was looking through the theater before Alan, and he was face-to-face with both Dark Place Ilmo and the Cult of the Word ring master. this could also mean that they dont remember what happens to them when the other takes over the body. its quite literally what would happen if you swapped two peoples brains in the same body. this ALSO explains why Casey remembers dying multiple times but not Sam. only the Casey brain remembers dying because hes the one dying, while the Sam brain isn't involved and is basically switched off.

the only details that cant be covered with this theory is how does the body come back after dying, which honestly you could chuck that up to writer Alan just bringing him back, why Casey and Sam had to share a body instead of getting their own, or if the Sam in the Dark Place is just a Dark Place version of the Actor Sam, or if thats ACTUAL Actor Sam that was dragged into the Dark Place same as Alan. but these are questions that arent solvable yet anyway, so it dorsnt really matter

and thats pretty much it! hopefully at least one of these mysteries get solved, for now i gotta black out

tw: racism, use of the n-slur (hard r for context) proceed with these things in mind and also don’t go and bring him attention by going to his page as he should not be on the internet for his own peace and everyone else’s. this is going to be long and have a lot of receipts/descriptions. do not send him shit on my behalf i ain’t move like that.

before i start, i want it to be clear that this is not confirmed. however, he has a history of doing fake anons to himself and to his (ex) moots from what i learned to either start drama, topics, or fw them so he can act as a supporter or victim if he sent the anon to himself. and this is NOT me jumping on the rashad toxic gossip train of tumblr 2023 but this type of behavior is disgusting and inexcusable. i am very convinced that it was him and want to share it to you all while leaving it open to criticism and speculation but PLEASE be careful and pick up the warning signs with these people from everyone coming out with stories about him.

me snd rashad became moots after he noticed me like a post of his i think. his first inbox to me was him trying to do self promo for a fic of his he was writing which i thought was odd and a little weird so i ignored it but he ended up continuing to inbox me random things (which i don’t generally mind) so we ended up building some mutual association or sum on here.

however, around 9-10 days ago, rashad had got “sent” something in his inbox about afro latinos. this was the ask:

now, i am not going to invalidate afro latinos who have experienced this. as a latino, i have experienced prejudice but that is never comparable to a black latino or a black person in general who is mixed/has another ethnic group of origin. these things are said to people and have been said to me in a different context. however, this ask was directly after he had posted it and on top of that it simply is not something someone would say as an ask. i don’t know how to describe it, but it’s too directed, crafted in a way that it’s wording seems like someone trying to be racist, and so on. we had never talked one on one either so i was confused when i first saw he had tagged me in a post since i hadn’t seen what it was about yet. i don’t know how to describe it but there’s something in the wording and just the context of it all that made this ask so in genuine almost as if it was something he had asked himself on another account.

i of course reblogged and said my peace and now disgusting and ignorant it was because afro latinos are a minority even in their own community because of generationally taught racism from colonization and just our traditional way of life and teaching stripped from us and our culture. but at the time, i had no idea of his “track record” of doing this type of thing or even the drama he was getting messy with behind what everyone knew of him.

i wanna say this as it’s very important as to what i have to show next. i am not black. i have never stated that and my day one followers and moots know that i have black family and in fact most of my relatives are afro latino but i, myself, am a lightskin latina which is something i feel i have always made known at least in sum damn context clues. i also want to add that this took place september 18th and that’s alway really important to the story.

ok now lemme get into why this is even a post.

shortly after this, i had gotten sick and ended up going on a break from just the internet in general because i needed to rest my ass up before even doin a thing like school and writing n allat. i was gone for around 3-4 days. so this post was long “old” or at least not being seen by anyone. and the thing is my spam posts never get hella reblogs unless i add hashtags or say something that makes everyone and they mama wanna join in on the conversation. so tell me why, exactly three days later, around the day i came back, i receive this in my inbox:

i had not seen this the first day i came back because my inbox was flooded with my actives rambling to me, compliments, requests, etc until yesterday morning when i was taking the time to reply to some stuff and it had come up. i was gagged like this language was so vile, nasty, ignorant, and dumb as fuck. why? for starters, i am not afro latino or black. me and others believe that rashad was under the impression that by the few posts he saw of me talking about the issue that he just assumed i was afro latino as well. i am not and people that follow me from long before all this know that.

and like let’s really read the text and what it says because it’s speaking about black latinos not being latino because they have no “true” spanish or indigenous blood, which is something that this man is always talking about and presents, to me, as an insecurity (a valid one DONT get it twisted) as a afro latino. he, or “anon,” goes on to call me the n word with the hard r multiple times and tells me i should have stayed a slave and then goes on to bring up taino ancestors (my ancestors) which i just found beyond disrespectful and crossing a big ass fucking line. im not sure if im describing this well, but just by the way that these anon asks are worded they seem very “fake” as in not that this couldn’t happen or hasn’t been told to anyone, but it doesn’t feel organic and just feels like forced racist comics to give you content.

he also texted me for the first time in tumblr dms the same day as this post or the day after the ask was sent to me, i believe, so coincidence or not …

i am 85% sure this is rashad.

to me, it feels like he did this as a way to maybe validate how he feels as a afro latino with other mixed latin im him since afro latinos face so much prejudice. however, to seek validation by doing an anon to yourself about your own post to get others to hype you up and validate YOUR ethnicity is completely unhealthy especially in this way. THIS was vile. THIS was uncalled for and beyond einstein level comprehension skills. THIS is inappropriate and a sign you shouldn’t be on tumblr.

rashad has been involved in a lot of drama public and not and has a constant thing to blame it on his “episodes” and such. while i think that self diagnosing is valid because people, especially poc, can’t get proper mental care rn, to state it as a fact is something that self diagnosers do not do and acknowledge it isn’t right. even so, it is not valid to blame bad behavior on your mental health. and even if you did “take accountability,” in your so called apologies rashad, you go from saying you don’t use your mental health as an excuse but at the same time use it in that context for why you shouldn’t get hate and we should all stop criticizing you and your actions because it should all be forgivable in a way where we can just move on with no consequences.

yes, rashad does suffer from mental illnesses or some type/types of mental issues whether they are underlying or not but the problem is that the internet is literally his scapegoat from this and is feeding into his problems which is why he does the anons, the posts putting people on blast, etc. if you have not seen he has taken this drama from tumblr to discord to instagram. but it is clear he does not feel any microscopic ounce of guilt or genuine sorry in this specific situation. he says he’s “acting like the big person” but goes to attack people who tried to talk some sense into him in his petty onika miraj type posts sayin shit about shoving ice dildos into peoples puss puss and sneak dissin mfs who have a right to see what he’s doing when he is continuing to be petty in the heat of this whole thing by talkin abt people.

he’s struggling with so much and the internet is not for him and it shows in the way he handles confrontation, parasocial relations w people online, and how he copes with his issues by running to tumblr or any other social media. he has stated before he is an ex manipulator and so on and a place like this is not where he needs to be. so do not feed into the anons he sends, do not feed into the petty and compulsive posts he puts together, and just don’t interact with him. he needs to find his own inner peace on some preacher to the church type shit like this a tyler perry movie and not effect those around him with his own internal mess.

so don’t take this as me trying to like ride off this situation or just me saying these things just because all my moots or in it and i wanna be involved on some nosy bitch shit. but something like this is very serious and i was gonna be quiet on my suspicion but something as disgusting as this being said to me and not put on some blast by my classy ass just didn’t feel right. do not go to his page like he his “gone” just take this in a way to educate yourself on the typa person he is and as an example of why you shouldn’t get emotionally attacked to the internet or get involved with people like this.

pay attention to how ppl act and the red flags so you can just cut them off and save y’all both the “i survived” trauma. again, this isn’t confirmed (the racism post) because i have no way to prove it but he has a history of it and i just wanted to come out with this because it made me uncomfortable and disgusted.
