Somehow I have never read this page on the OG warioware website but today I did and I like it. It's an interview with the wario crew with some insights on their game making process. Here are some of my favorite takeaways

Okay, here’s a question for you that my brain has randomly summoned: If Dream and Punz were experimenting with their own lives before the prison, why would it not show it in the video we get all about the Revival Book?

Because we didn't really need to know, tbh? Like, we really didn't. Most of what we know about c!Dream is always revealed at the latest possible moment: think the revive book, the staged finale, the vikk and lazar experiments, yes, and the Plan in entirety. There was reason to tell us that c!Dream and c!Punz had already tested the book after the prison break, because part of the question pre-staged finale reveal and pre-prison break was how much of c!Dream's ramblings about revival to c!Tommy were genuine, and the fact that he had tested the book before to some degree quite solidly confirms that all his whole "ooh now we know it works! now i can use you as a guinea pig to test revival mwahahaha" moment after reviving c!Tommy was for show and not genuine. On the other hand, we were still entirely in the dark on what c!Dream and c!Punz's goals were at the point of prison break, which iirc was around when that lore video came out. We really didn't need to know that they were testing the book on each other yet, especially because that reveal would only really hit the hardest in the finale where it was looped into the themes of self-destruction and self-sacrifice that followed c!clingy. Keeping that reveal until it'd actually mean something rather than just making it an earlier lore drop kept us guessing for longer and worked better for the story that was being told in those final four streams

I know I essentially never had a proper painting teacher in college, despite multiple painting classes, and therefore actually have no idea how to use oils correctly, but every time I see an oil painting by someone who does know how the oil paints work, I'm like holy shit

me writing a hypothetical short story with my funny main four Lob Corp Captains team (of them dealing with a Pink Shoes possession), leading into them really digging into their dynamics and goals (Rema sees them as a family and it's implied the others do too - even Nine), leading into meta-narrative on the City (Nine musing about what constitutes 'freedom' in the City), looping back into the usual chicanery they're known for (Nine helping an injured Rema up after the fight, Rema teases him about having emotions for once, Nine promptly getting annoyed and dropping his injured ass back on the floor). it is 4:22am where i am btw :)

Traje de luces are seriously peak design, they will literally never get old for me. Every once in a while I'll go on a hunt for more matador pics, and I feel like my art isn't even brushing the surface. Just the amount of poses, colors, situations I could draw is so endless WAUGH
