i am also dying trying to get the right relics for argenti i need her crit rate to be 50% and with fu xuans crit rate buff she gets there (i have him at 45% rn) but it makes it feel so bad to use her without fu xuan since she needs them for that last 5%
#and like 45% isnt bad but the ornament set i have on her doesnt trigger until crit rate is at 50%#so like without the other 5% the set i have is completely useless.............#BUT THE GAME IS COMPLETELY FUCKING RNG#AND ALL THE RELICS I AM GETTING DO NOT HAVE CRIT RATE BONUSES#AND WHEN THEY DO!! WHEN I LVL THEM UP!!!! IT LEVELS UP THE WRONG STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!#this issue would be fixed if i could roll a 5 star crit rate chest relic#but i have only gotten 4 star rit rate pieces#:-)#whatever. we keep grinding i suppose#fu xuan was so easy bc everything scales off her hp%#but argenti requires more sub stats than just like. attack%#i need pieces with attack% AND crit rate% AND crit damage%#AND SPEED!!!!!! I CANT GET ANY FUCKING SPEED STATS!!!!!!!!!!!

holy shit, could you share some of your ratios/artis because multiple top percents is nuts and I wanna see the stats
HAHA TY! Unfortunately you've activated my yap card, so I'm really sorry about how the rest of this post is going to go. I do want to admit that it actually isn't that impressive because there's ways to sort of "game" the Akasha leaderboard system, usually by sharing high CV pieces between your characters, overbuilding crit rate and ER or finding specific leaderboards that aren't as competitive, but it still is a fun sort of low-stakes, inconsequential PVP mode that I enjoy! This is my Akasha page. As you can see my Emilie and Kinich are not doing well.
One notable way I've "cheated" is the fact that my Chiori's ranking is on the Jade Cutter leaderboard, but that's not a real place, because my Chiori is on a Wolfs-Fang. I'm thinking of going for her sword next time she reruns, actually, so she may lose her ranking soon. The boards only look at your artifacts and then make their own assumptions, so board ranking is a VERY poor reflection of in-game performance. Another example is for any Childe mains who have him on Nymph's Dream: it's not actually that good of a set for him! The boards overestimate the uptime, but in actual gameplay, especially if you look at International speedruns, the uptime is bad and he often performs better with mixed sets. However, the difference is not likely to be felt in a practical scenario outside of speedruns and high-level play, so it's reasonable to keep him there for the valour, since he's still going to be good enough.
the reason my Mualani is so high even though I am not a Mualani main is because 1) she's so new that everyone is still working on her domain and using placeholder pieces and 2) I hit her with the yassify beam (gave her this absolutely stupid Hydro dmg goblet which is by far the best piece on my entire account). It just gets passed around between all my watery guys depending on whose personal damage I'm depending on the most at the time, but since Mualani is a hypercarry and Ayato and Yelan are more supportive, it makes the most sense to leave it on her. I expect her to drop a lot in the rankings once people have a chance to farm the Codex set more.
I'm very chuffed with my Navia's build because I recently crafted a new feather for her with the artifact transmuter. Feathers are not broadly recommended to craft, but Navia's feather was by far the most obvious weak link on my account – in the sense that not only was it so bad that it would be easy to get an upgrade (it had 4 low rolls of crit damage and NO other useful stats, not even lower-value ones like atk% or ER) but the rest Navia's pieces were good enough that I had no reason to still be actively farming her domain. Anyway, I got quite lucky with the crafted feather, though as you can see it's still easily the weakest of all her pieces. This is enough to tide me over until Nighttime Whispers is in the strongbox :D
I've worked really hard on my Xiao's build – I've strongboxed 364 Vermilion pieces to date – but Xiao, being an older character with dedicated mains, has a very competitive board, so I don't expect to ever get much higher than this. Isn't that feather disgusting, though? I farmed Marechaussee domain a lot but never got a build good enough to replace this one, especially considering I'm on Jade and therefore about to overcap on crit rate just by sneezing. He has 97% crit rate WITH A CDMG HAT, I want to point out! I am considering crafting a circlet for him as his current one is relatively weak, but that's a problem for future Phee to think about, since I'll want to rebalance his build anyway once I get Xianyun – he'll need less ER and less crit rate.
What level of nerd am I about combat stats in the video game Jenshin Intact? I do my own damage calculations to see which pieces are best! That's why Xiao is on an attack goblet instead of an Anemo DMG one 😔
Also… see how my Wanderer is top 2%? I still don't have an EM goblet on the Flower of Paradise Lost set. RNG is really so funny sometimes. Anyway, at the moment I've allotted myself 6 weeks of farming time to try and get Emilie at least a good 2pc 2pc, after which I'll probably go back to making my Kinich not suck!
#legit if anyone wants twitch streamer phee to give them artifact/build advice im literally available.#and never has my personal tag been so apropos:#SHUT UP PHEE#q and a time with phee#genshin impact

okay here are the build priorities, from ground up, just absolute BASICS, i know there are a lot of stuff in genshin that can be overwhelming.
Level up your character AND weapon AND talents. Level 90 character with lvl 20 weapon and lvl 2 talent is not doing great.
Any artifacts are better than no artifacts. Use 4 star or 3 star artifacts if you don't have 5 star ones. DO NOT wait for perfect set of 5 stars, using like only 2 and having 3 slots empty. Use the crappy ones and replace when you get better ones, but don't leave it with nothing at all.
When you decide to build a character, look up a build. it doesn't have to be 30 min video, it can be one page article, they are not most accurate, but they will give you general idea better than in game recs.
but that build is not a scripture, its a guideline. Guides will usually give you recs of several full sets, but you can mix and match. You don't have to get full artifact set for most characters.
The only exceptions where you NEED specific full set is anemo supports on full Viridescent Venerer, raiden needs 4 piece emblem and in hyperbloom team, someone needs to have 4 piece Deepwood.
For all others, main stats are priority. Get correct main stat. For attack scaling DPS like Arlecchino or Clorinde 4 star attack sands on wrong set with shitty substats are better than 5 star defence sands with great crit on correct set. DO NOT use goblets of wrong elements. Do not use physical damage goblet on your pyro DPS even if it has insane stats. Use 3 star pyro goblet if you have to.
After main stats, make sure your character has enough ENERGY RECHARGE to burst. It's priority for supports and DPS who rely on bursts. The guide will usually tell you ballpark of how much ER you need.
For DPS, stats >>>>>> full set. I've seen like, Gaming on 4 piece pyro witch set, but with 80% crit rate and 90% crit damage. You have negative crit damage here. Crit damage lower than like 120% is not really doing anything. As baseline, crit rate should aim to be higher than 50% and crit damage 150%+. High crit rate with low crit damage is kinda useless. Again, for most DPS full set is not a priority, unless its raiden.
if you have attack scaling DPS, like Arlecchino and you don't have full set, use 2 piece attack bonus and 2 piece element mastery bonus, or 2 piece attack and 2 piece pyro, or 2 piece attack and another 2 piece attack, etc. or NO bonus at all. Whatever gives you best build. 55% crit rate with 140% crit damage with correct main stats with no set is better than 88% crit rate 94% crit damage on "correct set".
feel free to ask questions

hello! may i ask for advice how to build calcharo and aalto? tysm!
ofc! as always a lot of this is STC, subjective, and i'm always open to editing in any differing information from others
this one'll be a bit long so i'll put the whole thing under a read more ^^
additionally, let me know if i should create a tag for these posts? or if i should be putting them in the main tags (wuwa tags and char tags)?
sources used:
wuthering.gg (most info) | prydwen.gg (echo set effects)
CALCHARO
BASIC NOTION - calcharo is a main DPS (eating up a lot of field time). his kit largely revolves around comboing his skill and heavy attacks (HA), though his resonance liberation also buffs his basic attacks (BA)
as a DPS, calcharo will want attack, both crits, electro damage bonus, and potentially a little energy regen
TEAMMATES - he pairs well with yinlin, whose outro skill will buff electro DMG for the next resonator by +20% for 14 sec or until swapping again
(she also buffs resonance lib. dmg but this only affects his initial burst on lib.)
he can also pair well with mortefi, as his outro buffs heavy attack damage by +38% for the same above conditional duration
-
WEAPON CHOICES
5* - Verdant Summit [CRIT DMG]. (limited - Jiyan's signature) resonance DMG (skill + lib.) up by +12%. when either is cast, HA DMG is increased by +24% up to 2x, for up to 14 seconds.
4* - choose what applies best for you out of Autumntrace [CRIT RATE] and Helios Cleaver [ATK%] -> the former buffs ATK by 10% after BA or HA, up to 3x, for up to 10 sec -> the latter buffs ATK by 3% every 2 sec over 12 sec (6x) up to 4x.
3* - Guardian Broadblade [ATK%]. BA and HA DMG is buffed by +12%
-
ECHO CHOICES
SET – 5-piece Electro (Electro DMG +10% + after HA or Resonance Skill, Electro DMG +15% x2 temporarily) (peak of +40% Electro DMG)
EVENT RECOMMENDATION – Violet-Feathered Heron [3] (see echo summon event post)
at maximum terminal level, 12 cost points can be invested into echoes over 5 slots. your ideal setup may be:
4-cost – Tempest Mephis (not to be confused with Thundering Mephis; Tempest buffs HA DMG after use)
3-costs (2) – Violet-Feathered Heron and Flautist
1-costs (2) – this one is a mixed bag, but i would personally choose Vanguard Junrock, Electro Predator, and Fission Junrock
feel free to also check out sidneymar's guide for calcharo for other opinions! (reddit with image | video)
AALTO
BASIC NOTION - aalto is a DPS (likely sub DPS) that largely utilizes creating mist on certain basic attacks (BA's) and skill. when this mist is shot through, it deals extra DMG
as a DPS, aalto wants attack, both crits, and aero DMG. however, if you desire to play him as a main DPS, you will likely need to invest in energy regen as his resonance liberation has a higher energy cost than most other characters (150 vs 125)
TEAMMATES - he may benefit from taoqi, whose outro skill buffs skill DMG +38% for 14 seconds or until swap. otherwise, he works great as a buffer for other aero characters, being the one to give an aero buff on outro!
-
WEAPON CHOICES
5* - Static Mist [CRIT RATE]. (only 5* pistol as of 1.0) this buffs his utility as a sub DPS for other units, as using an outro skill will buff the ATK of the party by 10% for a short while. also comes with 12.8% energy regen
4* - all have their perks! choose what suits you best out of Cadenza [ENERGY REGEN], Undying Flame [ATK%], Novaburst [ATK%], and Thunderbolt [ATK%].
3* - choose from Guardian Pistols [ATK%] or Pistols of Night [ATK%]
-
ECHO CHOICES
SET – 5-piece Aero (Aero DMG +10% + after Intro Skill, Aero DMG +30% temporarily) (peak of +40% Aero DMG)
note that, if attempting to make him largely stay on the field / main DPS, 2pc Aero / 2 pc Attack is fine, but not covered here
EVENT RECOMMENDATION – Chaserazor (may be called Carapace) [3] (see echo summon event post)
at maximum terminal level, 12 cost points can be invested into echoes over 5 slots. your ideal setup may be:
4-cost – Feilian Beringal
3-costs (2) – choose from Cyan-Feathered Heron, Hoochief, and Chaserazor (Carapace)
1-costs (2) – Whiff Whaff, Hooscamp Flinger, and Chirpuff

Jimmy DPS Build Guide (AKA my "hear me out" manifesto)
Hello Everyone! In this post I will share with you the detailed build guide of the 4-star Pyro Polearm User Jimmy. Before you type your angry comment, just hear me out.
I used to play Jimmy back when I was F2P in 2.0, before the Seven Days Replay set was released, and I decided to see if he's a good option now that we have the set.
✦✦✦ Kit and Playstyle ✦✦✦
Jimmy is a 4-star HP scaling Pyro Polearm user who is very F2P friendly, considering every account has him, and they run him in the store every other month. His kit is based around losing health, so it is necessary to have a healer on the team. He works well on teams based around elemental reactions!!!
◇ Normal Attack: Laying Down the Law
No extra mechanics here. Deals up to 5 consecutive strikes using normal attack. Holding down attack lets him do a charged attack.
◇ Elemental Skills (E) : Changing Tactics
Pressing E makes Jimmy rush forward to attack one enemy dealing Pyro DMG. Holding E charges up his attack, and does more of an arc of Pyro DMG that can hit multiple enemies in a cone in front of him and knock over smaller enemies. Changing Tactics has one charge, and a CD of 5s for press, and 7.5s for held.
◇ Elemental Burst (Q) : Revengeance
The majority of damage you want to do with Jimmy comes from his burst. Revengeance unleashes a powerful AoE Pyro attack with a decent range, and boosts characters ATK based on Jimmy's HP.
Jimmy has an energy cost of 40 and his cooldown is 12s.
◇ Passives
Tactical Retreat (1st ascension) - Using Burst boosts the ATK of the next character to switch on field within 2s. (This is typically why he's considered a support or sub-DPS, but shhh.)
Heating Up (4th ascension) - Revengance does more damage based on the amount of damage taken by Jimmy in the last 30s. (A surprise tool that will help us later!!)
Forgaging Familiarity - Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Ention on the mini-map.
✦✦✦ Ascension & Talent Materials ✦✦✦
◇ Agnidus Agate
Like all Pyro characters, Jimmy will need Agnidus Agate for ascension. Luckily, his boss drops it! Players will need to collect the following amount to get his final ascension:
Agnidus Agate Sliver x1
Agnidus Agate Fragment x9
Agnidus Agate Chunk x9
Agnidus Agate Gemstone x6
◇ Drops from Undead Brutes
Undead are found all throughout the world, most commonly in early regions like Ention or Riveia. Undead Brutes typical spawn in Camps, and can be fought on Ention Leylines. To get Jimmy to final ascension, you will need:
Wishbone x18 (x18)
Bone Club x30 (x66)
Reinforced Femur x36 (x93)
(Parentheses are for all talents to level 10.)
◇ Unburning Branch
Unburning Branch can be claimed by defeating the Young Dragonspawn in Ention. Like other bosses, it costs 40 resin to collect materials. You will need x46.
◇ Red Capped Mushroom
Red Capped Mushroom is the local specialty in Ention that Jimmy needs. You will need x168. They can be grown in the teapot.
◇ Confidence Talent Books
Confidence Talent Books can be gotten from Riftmouth Cave (Ention) on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
◇ Heart of the Machine from the Surveillance Prophet weekly boss
Complete the Ention Archon quest to unlock this boss. This boss cannot be done in co-op.
✦✦✦ Artifacts & Stats ✦✦✦
Jimmy's best artifact set for a DPS build is Seven Days Replay.
2-piece set HP+20%. 4-piece set gains stacks of Knowledge when a character takes damage. Knowledge applies the following effects depending on the amount of stacks: 1-3 stacks, increase DMG by 10%. 4-6 stacks, increase crit rate by 8%. 7 stacks, increase incoming healing by 10% for the next 2s, and reset the amount of stacks.
Sands: HP%/ER
Goblet: Pyro DMG
Circlet: CRIT rate/DMG
Substats: ER, HP%, CRIT rate/DMG, (EM if needed)
ATK is a dead stat for Jimmy
ER: ~120-130%
This is basically the only set that is good for Jimmy as a DPS. Alternate options are any set that give an HP or HP% bonus if you don't have a full 4-piece set for him yet.
✦✦✦ Weapons ✦✦✦
Jimmy's best in slot is typically considered the 5* standard Benevolence, and this is a decent option. For the purposes of DPS, though, getting your hands on Harvest Moon is really good. (Pearl rerun when... [Pearl_Sip])
Good 4* options include Killer Instinct (BP weapon) and Sidepiercer (Standard). His best 3* option is Asclepius, but if you didn't grab that then go with Nighttime Arrow. If you must.
✦✦✦ Talent Priority ✦✦✦
Burst > E. Skill > Normal Attack
A good suggested level for folks who do not want to go all the way is 6/7/9 (edit: put it in backwards! [x_derp])
✦✦✦ Team Comps ✦✦✦
Ention Bros - Reverse Melt team with Jimmy as DPS, BigB for cryo application and sub-DPS, Pyro False for off-field Pyro application, and Netty for heals. Netty is a really good healer for Jimmy DPS teams, and these are all F2P friendly options. Make sure to pile on some EM if you're using this team.
Suicide Bombs - Overload team with Jimmy DPS, Tango for off-field electro application, Xisuma for electro application/electro resonance & heals, and the last slot I keep for a flex support. Pyro False is a good option for the resonance, but Cryo False is good if you have her C2 for the automatic shield, just so Jimmy doesn't explode and die constantly.
You almost never want a shield character with Jimmy (Cryo False is the exception), since it prevents Jimmy from taking DMG, and effectively nerfs his burst.
✦✦✦ Constellations ✦✦✦
C1: Gives guaranteed elemental particle when hit.
C2: Using E skill reduces Burst CD.
C3: Talent level increase.
C4: At 30% health, healing bonus for party.
C5: Talent level increase.
C6: ATK boost for Burst when Jimmy is at 30%.
All his cons are good, but none of them are necessary to play Jimmy as a DPS, unlike some other characters. C1 is really good for Burst uptime, so at least aim for that.
◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆
That's all! Just try to keep in mind that this is subject to change once we get release 6.0, since I'm hearing leaks that Sausage is basically gonna be Better 5 Star Jimmy. But whatever. [Sob] Jimmy mains will catch a break some day, I believe it. Comment if you have any ideas for this build or have any success with it! Thx!!
#wizard scrolls#solidaritygaming#genshin impact au#<- which i guess is a real tag on my blog now.#target audience 2 people as usual

𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞
Yayyy, finally got done with this piece!
When Ruan Mei was first revealed, I really wanted to draw the aloof biologist with Philomina. I started sketching out the poses months ago but didn't get around finishing it until now! As you can see, I'm getting more confident in coloring with markers!
I'm quite proud of it.
Phil's color scheme is what I'm still experimenting with, so Phil's colors in this piece is not official.
Also, I wanna give sneak peeks on Phil's kit :D
Like Ruan Mei, Philomina the Patient is an Ice/Harmony unit. She buffs her allies attack, crit dmg, and ultimate damage based on her attack. Phil also gives energy and raises energy accumulation rate. She's best paired with skill-point neutral or positive units because she needs lots of skill points to enhance her basic and skill. Although she is a harmony unit, she can fit in the slot of sub-DPS quite easily.
You can expect a post about Phil's official kit later!

Hey Yami!
I plan to go back to play HSR and tbh with you i didn’t play that far in the game and only still in first chapter of the game so i am basically playing as a new player lol.
What I wanna ask is what type of relics I should get as a new player and what best team I should use?
I know seeing my character levels is a pain but in my defence I never really played the game sooo~ any advice and tips when I play the game again?
zero points! /ref
anyways, hii klai! your relics will heavily depend upon what characters you're using in your team, so we'll create a team and THEN go through what relics to use on them! For the sake of simplicity, we'll go with one team and expand on relics from there.
I shall refrain from my... Dr. Ratio team propaganda (Dr. Ratio, Pela, Tingyun, and Natasha in this case! ... oops I did it again.) and give you. a different option! I introduce to you... the ✨Qingque team✨fun team to play, silly unit to build, my girl is just a DELIGHT to play tbh.
The Qingque team consists of the following: Qingque, Gepard, Pela/Tingyun and Natasha! Gepard will be your sustain, responsible for keeping you alive, Qingque will be your DPS, Pela/Tingyun will be your support character, providing buffs/debuffs, and Natasha will be your healer!
Depending on if you play this team on auto or manual depends on how skill-point-heavy this team will be, unfortunately. For the most part, you can get away with not using Pela, Natasha, and Gepard's skills, thus obtaining skill points for Qingque to use in her next turn. What is the most important for those three are their ultimates, which give DEF down, healing, and shield!
As for relics, here are my suggestions! Since you're still in Belebog, your options will be limited, unfortunately! So, I'll be giving you two relic sets, one you can work with now, and the ideal set once you get to the proper places in the story!
Qingque - For Qingque, I would suggest the Genius of Brilliant Stars set, which boosts quantum damage and ignores enemy defense! You'll find this set in Belebog at the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Providence in the snow plains! As for what to use on Qingque later on... honestly you could just stick with GoBS since it is technically her best in slot set. Alternatively, you can also use Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters on her and still get decent damage. It boosts damage dealt to enemies with debuffs and increases crit rate and crit damage.
Natasha - For Natasha, I would suggest the Passerby of Wandering Cloud set, which increases outgoing healing (meaning Natasha will heal everyone for more HP) and recovers a skill point at the beginning of the battle! Which, with Qingque, you will NEED that skill point. You'll get some of these pieces as you travel through the game, so no need to specifically grind for them! But, once you get past the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone, you'll be able to find the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Drifting if you want to grind for better pieces. As for later on, I would suggest Messenger Traversing Hackerspace if your team is having issues with speed and attacking before the enemy! This set boosts speed and grants the entire bonus speed when they use their ultimate.
Pela - For Pela, I would suggest the Guard of Wuthering Snow set, which you can find in the same domain as GoBS! So, I would start here for artifacts here since that's two characters in one shot! It reduces the damage Pela will take and restores HP and energy when she falls below 50% hp. Honestly, I would continue to roll with this set in late game, since there is not really a better set for Pela since she's kind of a broken set kind of girlie? What she needs is effect hit rate, but there's no set out yet that boosts that specifically... If you do end up wanting to change her, I would suggest Messenger Traversing Hackerspace once again! But, just be aware if you have two MTH users in a team, the teamwise SPD boost on ultimate will not stack.
Gepard - For him, right now, you'll want to run him on the same set as Pela, Guard of Wuthering Snow, since his best-in-slot set is not available until you start the Xianzhou Luofu. This set is the Knight of Purity Place set, which increases defense and the maximum damage a shield Gepard makes with his ultimate can absorb. You'll find this set at the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Holy Hymm and it's Gepard's best set.
I hope this was useful information to you, Klai! If you need any more information like how this team would play on manual mode or anything else, just send me another ask!
Oh yeah.
And build your Dr. Ratio when you get to his stuff. Trust me, having him as an option makes life so much easier and so much funnier. Will hearing "Knowledge is the measure of all things. It reveals truth... and falsehood" and "zero points... next" a million times in an hour's time drive you up the wall? Yes. Will he absolutely kill everything in a 20 mile radius? Also yes.

Jack Builds Spaceboats: The Hyperion Part 3: Kit & Caboodle
Disclaimer: I am not an expert on this game, and some information I present may be erroneous.
So it's about time I talked about the Hyperion's gear. As mentioned, she's built primarily for phaser damage. That said, she also sports one fore and one aft photon torpedo launcher - because also as mentioned, she's a Federation starship. She's not leaving Spacedock improperly equipped, I don't care how much DPS I'm losing.
For the DEWS (Deflector, Engines, Warp core, Shields), she's running an Elite Fleet Intervention deflector (which gives her bonus crit chance and crit damage, a boost to hull and shield capacity, and some bonus speed/turn), the Mycelial-Wave Impulse engines from the Discovery rep (the expected bonuses to speed and turn, plus a boost to engine power out of combat, and to shield power when in combat), an Elite Fleet Plasma-Integrated Warp Core (boosts power transfer rate, makes energy weapons cheaper to fire, and gives a bonus to shield power equal to a percent of my weapon power), and Tilly's Review-Pending Modified Shield from the Discovery rep (enemies I attack take 10% more damage to shields, plus gives me +120% passive hull regeneration for the two-piece Discovery rep set bonus).
Since she's a Miracle Worker ship (I haven't covered that yet, all you need to know at this juncture is that it give me an extra universal console slot), and T6-X2 (two bonus universal console slots), we've got three universal console slots to play with - on top of five engineering console slots. What we do with that is fun.
A while back, STO added "Advanced Consoles," that do really cool things that no other console does. Catch is, you can only have one kind of Advanced console equipped. What we're using here, to maximize our beam damage, is seven Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifolds, with a mix of modifiers that boots either beam or phaser damage.
To elaborate what makes these so good, the damage of energy weapons in STO is based on your Weapons subsystem power level. At 50 power, your energy weapons deal 100% of their damage. Each point of power adds 2% damage up or down, and (typically) your Weapons subsystem caps at 125 power - anything above that adds drain resistance instead. Also, firing energy weapons drains Weapons subsystem power. So naturally, if you want to deal as much damage as possible with energy weapons, you want to keep your Weapons subsystem power levels as high as possible.
What Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifolds do - or Isomags, as they're affectionately known - is provide a boost to Weapons subsystem power, as well as a stacking boost to Weapons subsystem cap. So while the Hyperion's maximum weapon power setting is ostensibly 125, with seven Isomags equipped it's 174. This gives a crazy boost to phaser weapon damage.
The more mathematically astute among you may have noticed that 5+3 is not, in fact, seven. That's because I have a very non-meta console equipped, a Bellum RCS Accelerator that increases turn rate (and crit chance a little). I just like having a heavy cruiser that drifts, okay?
The science console slots, of which there are a grand two, are home to the aforementioned Shield Absorptive Frequency Generator mentioned in Part 2 and a lovely little thing called Experimental Power Redirection. The latter is a clicky that gives me more free attacks along my broadside, +60% energy weapon damage for 15 seconds. It's fun.
In the four tactical slots, we have the classic Lorca's Custom Fire Controls console first and foremost (it give a good boost to shield pen, crit chance, and another boost to weapon power), and three Energetic Protomatter Matrix Infusers. Those little treats boost phaser damage, give a small boost to torpedo damage, and each gives a 25% chance to give me a minor heal-over-time effect to hull and shields every time I activate an energy weapon firing mode (in this case, the BFAW I'm constantly using).
This ship also comes with a single hangar bay, which I've billed with a Valkyrie fighter squadron for gits, shiggles, and a trait we'll talk about in a bit.
Now let's talk about the Bridge Officer seating.
The ship's universal Lieutenant-Commander seat is kitted out with Science Team I for the shield heal and sci cleans, Photonic Officer I for reasons covered in Part 1, and Hazard Emitters III for reasons covered in Part 2.
The ship's Lieutenant-Commander Tactical seat has Tactical Team I for the automated shield redistribution and minor buffs, Torpedo: Spread II (which makes my next torpedo attack a multi-target AOE), and BFAW III which I've already talked about.
The hybrid Lieutenant Tactical/Intelligence seating has Intelligence Team I (which gives some defensive/threat reduction buffs, I'm looking at swapping this for something later), and Attack Pattern: Beta I which debuffs the damage resistance and stealth of enemies I hit for ten seconds.
The hybrid Commander-level Engineering/Miracle Worker seat has Engineering Team I for the minor heals and engi debuff cleanse, Auxiliary Power to the Structural Integrity Field I for reasons discussed in Part 2, Emergency Power to Weapons III for boosted energy weapon damage (plus proccing a trait we'll discuss later), and the wonderful, wonderful Mixed-Armaments Synergy III, which for ten seconds boosts beam, cannon, mine, and torpedo damage by 50% when I fire one (so firing a torpedo boosts beam, cannon and mine damage, and firing beams boosts torpedo, cannon, and mine damage, etc). It doesn't stack, so having two kinds of weapons maximizes the benefits.
The last seat, an Ensign-level Sci seat, is sporting Structural Analysis I (a contagious damage resistance debuff) because I didn't know what else to put there.
Now, the ship traits.
First up, I slotted Emergency Weapon Cycle. On activating Emergency Power to Weapons, this trait increases my firing cycle haste and reduces weapon power cost by 50%. You can see how that's useful.
Next, I've got Over-Powered And Over-Gunned. When I activate an energy weapon firing mode (BFAW), I gain more weapon haste and more weapon power cost reduction. You're probably sensing a theme.
Then, we have History Will Remember which was covered in Part 2.
The next trait I slotted is Superior Area Denial. This is a fun little trait that, when I activate BFAW or Cannons: Scatter Volley, enemies I hit have their damage resistance debuffed even more, and it grants the first rank of BFAW and CSV to me pets as well (in this case, the Valkyrie squadron)
Next up is Calculated Broadside. Whenever I activate BFAW or any Intelligence ability, I gain 35% increased beam damage and increased damage resistance along my broadsides for 15 seconds.
The Best Diplomat is our next trait, which grants +10% to +30% beam weapon damage during BFAW and Beam: Overload, depending on my ship's power levels (which are pretty high, so it's a nice boost).
The final trait is Redirecting Arrays, which we covered in Part 1.
I think that about wraps up the Hyperion, not sure what ship I'll do next. I mean, these posts are less informative and more hyperfocused rants, so yeah.

Nebby talks Genshin Impact part one of many many parts
Neuvillette building and playstyle for everyone who either has him but has no idea what they’re doing or wants him on his rerun (whenever that happens)
SO neuvi is a main DPS character that’s unusual for two reasons:
-his charged attacks are what you get most damage out of (which is why one of his constellations levels his normal attacks up by three)
-he scales on HP
Build guide first - You can build him on 4 piece heart of depths, or 4 piece nymph’s dream for hydro sets, but 4 piece Marachusee Hunter is also really good on him. HP%, crit rate, crit damage and energy recharge are my focus stats, but don’t neglect elemental mastery either. I’ve got him on the weapon Ballad of the Boundless Blue, but I know that’s an event weapon that not everyone is gonna have. Good alternatives would be: Tome of the Eternal Flow, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds or Sacrificial Jade for 5 star and paid weapons, or The Widsith or Prototype Amber for free-to-play weapons
I have my Neuvillette at 1st constellation level, and I’d say that it’s alright but he’s just as good without any constellations in my opinion. If you’re someone who goes for as many constellations as possible, I’d go for 4 on him, as that’ll make more hydro balls and that means more charged attacks.
As for his playstyle, you’re gonna want to concentrate on charged attacks. When Neuvillette’s burst or skill hits an enemy little balls appear, and those let you charge up a charged attack faster. His burst allows for two charged attacks, and his skill for one. Because of his cool-downs, I usually do his skill, then a charged attack, then his burst, then two charged attacks, then skill and charged attack again. His normal attacks are okay, but I tend to avoid using them because they’re slow and clunky. Using his charged attack drains his health until it hits 50%, so keep that in mind. Collecting the balls while charging heals him too, so he’s self-sustaining if you always use the water balls to charge his attacks.
Teams for Neuvillette: crowd control is a must to maximise damage, so one of Kazuha, Venti or Sucrose is good to run with him. I also have a healer with him because of the HP cost of his charged attacks. I use Baizhu, and my fourth slot is filled by an electro or pyro user to have extra dendro reactions. I can see Neuvillette running well in freeze teams, but honestly he’d be good on any team where you need constant hydro applications or have off-field elements to react with.
I’m a really big fan of him, he’s my current main and I don’t think I’ll be swapping him any time soon.

Back on my mission to make Hikari (currently lv 51) the Most Guy Every (while procrastinating his chapter 2), He has Full Power (instant LP at the start), Summon Strength (+50 phys. Attack), Deal More Damage (can go up to 99,999 max), and last but not least, A Step Ahead. Now why A Step Ahead? If i have him defend during this, it ups his BP to 2 BP, so when its his turn-he can 2 Boost Shadow's Hold his Sougetsusen (Unleash a polearm and sword attack on all enemies).
Equipping him with Starsplitter for his sword ( +296 phys. Attack with +91 Crit), Matching Trident (+114 Phys. Attack with +35 Crit) , Victory Ring (more attack), and Finisher's Claws ( more damage when Crit).
Not to mention he's in Merchant Class so Hired Help is <3<3<3. If i have another class (such as Hunter use Take Aim (Raise Crit. Rate and Accuracy) or Inventor use Crit Scope (All damage delt to a foe becomes Crit. damage)) I can become God
Oho? We're bragging about our Hikaris now, are we? Well, while I can't say my guy is at your level at the moment...I assure you I only mean that in the sense that my catboy Hunter Hikari is only Level 45. In every other aspect I dub him superior! Call yourself a god all you want, but I am a believer in only one true power and that is of homosexuality!
See, my personal Hikari strategies center around one man: Inventor Partitio, who himself is equipped with the A Step Ahead support skill. Now, why Partitio instead of Hikari? Well, My Hikari is set up with
Boost Start - Starts the battle with 2 BP
Full Power - Instant full latent power gauge
Deal More Damage - Increases max damage to 99,999
Salt in Wound - 50% to act twice when breaking a foe
In addition, Catboy Hikari sports increased Phys Atk, Accuracy, and Critical with the Hunter secondary job, as well as a Rosary of Redemption, which provides a -60 Crit and -60 Phys Atk. Now, why a negative stat? It's because I've also come across the accessory piece of Blessing in Disguise, which turns all stat negative values into positive values! In addition, while I currently only have him fixed up with a +112 Little Crow, I recently fixed him up with the Fire Dragon's Glaive, which has +318 Phys Atk which is helpful for Twin Serpents (Polearm attack on all foes twice) and Sougetsusen (Sword and polearm on all foes)
With all that set up with my guys, the strategy is this:
Partitio is guaranteed to go first with his extra turn with the A Step Ahead support skill. He also has Boost Start, so by the time the actual battle round starts, he will already have 3 BP.
Therefore, Partitio uses this turn to use Critical Scope to guarantee critical hits on the baddies for Hikari to cut down in the next turn.
Then, during the first actual round of battle, when it is Hikari's turn, he is able to max boost Hienka since he has Boost Start, and the extra round with Partitio gives Hikari his third BP. Hineka then allows him to attack twice, and then act again at the end of the round.
In addition, if the initial attack of Hienka breaks the enemy, he has a 50% chance to act again thanks to Salt in Wound, in which I could set up Abide to increase his physical attack further if I haven't dont that with Castti's weed already.
After the initial attack of Hienka, Partitio's turn then comes in and gives the maximum amount of BP to Hikari, which he has since Partitio has the 3 BP thanks to the A Step Up. Additionally, if I set up this attack a little later in the round, Partitio is still able to give the maximum BP to Hikari because of his latent ability (He's also equipped with Full Power) to summon back all his Boost Points whenever he needs it. So max boost "I'm investin' in ya!"
Finally at the end of the round, the Hineka attack gives Hikari his second turn (Third, if it's with Salt in Wound) and he is then able to max boost again, with Brand's Blade.
This has mainly been my strategy for minibosses and going to places that are a bit out of my level, but it's very satisfying to just stack turns on Hikari. In addition, the same condensed strategy works out with clearing mobs, similar to your Hikari, where I have Partitio's Crit Scope/A Step Ahead set up, then he can max boost on Changeable Catapult (He has Frontier Axe +219 Phys Atk so I usually just go with the AOE Axe attack) if he goes first, or Hikari just max boosts Sougetsusen (with his +318 Fire Dragon Glaive) or even max boost the AOE Bow skill I had him pick up since he has the Protector's Bow now, (+310 Phys Atk)
I'm coming for you! My southern hat man and my gay catboy will beat the shit out of your Merchant lad!! God or no!
#octopath traveler 2#ooooo i loooooveee strategizing frfr#mmm mmm mmm! delicious battle mechanics <33#also I'm copy writing this strategy purely to call it the Kip Kontinual#<- joke. obvious I would name it after partitio#or something alliterated to that sort#i have to think on a word that also starts with p tho...perpetual? persistence?#these boys work so well together its unreal when will they kiss i swear to god#Hikari Ku#partitio yellowil

Help! I Don’t Do Enough Damage (2): Understanding Stats
So I was going to do a post on how to read talents but I’ve realized that people don’t understand stats and the reasons why we pay attention to things like ER. So we are kind of blending it into one post. I’ll say it first: Incorrect Energy Recharge management is how I see most people unable to tackle Floor 12. That’s right! It’s not damage, it’s not getting the shiny new rate up character. It’s having your stats correctly balanced. Anywho, lets get into it!
Let’s take a look at my Ayaka today since she’s an odd case.
So Ayaya here is running a full DPS build on 4 piece Blizzard Strayer. Lets go over her build step by step! (what's going through my head as I say this..please tell me somebody gets this...) Weapon: I run my Ayaka with Layla, hence she gets full stacks from the passive.
Attack: Ayaka’s scaling talent, since it doesn’t list an alternate scaling in her talents. Examples of Alternate Scalings: Al Haitham (EM): 193.6% ATK + 154.88% Elemental Mastery Yelan (HP): 22.61% Max HP Albedo (Def): 133.6% DEF
Notice how it says the alternate stat? Every time? When you see things like this in a kit, it’s a clue to build into that stat. However sometimes, with people like Ayato..the increase is so minuscule, you let it be.
In general:
- For non HP stats you are looking for over 100% in the scalings at lvl 1, for HP stats you are looking for over 10%.
- Healing and buffing characters, you just kind of build into that stat no matter what.
- Characters that transfer a different stat into Attack (Example, Hu Tao (HP -> Atk), Ittou (Def -> Atk)), you build into the different stat.
- For split scaling characters, you build into the higher multiplier.
Confusing, I know and I’m sorry. I can always explain certain characters and how to build them but in general you can follow this formula. Please just read the talents when you pick up a character, I’m begging you. It’ll save a lot of grief.
Crit Ratio: But you say “Alfie, I thought you build 1:2 ratios or at least 50% crit!! You liar!!” Well, it still is!!! Check this out: Blizzard gives about 40% CRIT Rate when ran in freeze comps. Where is Ayaya usually?? Freeze!! So in reality, she is about 61:225. Pretty sweet, huh? Damage Bonus: Very self explanatory in my eyes. Ran on DPS characters due to the fact that they use elemental attacks to do damage.
Energy Recharge: And here is where I go on a lil teensy weensy rant. Clearing higher level content is all about having consistent, high damage output. Whales can clear it in a single burst, but for most people that isn’t feasible. Thus, you need to do it over multiple cycles.
Which is where ER comes in. This allows you to burst more often and often have your burst ready on cooldown. But how MUCH ER, you may ask? And I have a lovely, shitty cop-out answer for you: It’s personal preference.
But honestly! Build into ER until you feel like your desired team runs smoothly. Things like Favonius and sacrificial weapons help a ton soooo don’t be afraid to run those on your sub dps characters. Typically on DPS, I run about 130 <3
Well that’s all for today’s post! If you have any questions please ask me haha..ill just take forever because I'm tired and eepy..

Ooo build review time? Pretty easy to tell which dragon I anticipated getting, and which one I decided last minute to pull. Been farming Marechaussee since I got him to very minimal luck :(
ok listen, please dont take my critique personally, i understand that you really like zhongli and you've prepared his build, but im saying what im saying *because* i understand that you care and i want you to have results: its kind of bad:( i'm not saying dont build dps on zhongli, im saying this is not how you do it
to begin, we need to establish what you want from this:
1.first, i hope you're not planning to normal attack on zhongli? like i see his NA lvl 7 and i get kind of scared. to be clear, normal attack zhongli needs a physical build that is very different and tbh not good. like you can do it for overworld but it needs completely dif team and build, so tell me if you want to on field normal attack him and i will give you options. but THIS is not it
2.if you dont plan to on-field and NA on him, this looks like sub dps shield build? like, someone else is main dps, but you use zhongli shield and sometimes drop his burst. if this is what you want, then this build is also kind of :(
like to start, why do you have 4piece petra? like, do you know what it does and how to use it? bc 4 piece petra is a support set. how it works is that you put status of your main dps on the enemy, for example, you play main dps neuvi. you put hydro status on enemy, you switch to zhongli, you do his shield\burst, you make sure it hits enemy. when it reacts with hydro status, you get hydro crystalize shard on the ground. then, you need as zhongli himself, to pick up the shard. if you do, you get 35% dmg bonus for HYDRO for 10 seconds. not geo, hydro, your zhongli gets no benefit. almost no onew uses 4 piece petra zhongli bc its kind of clunky:(
if you use him with atk scaling dps, then tenacity of mill is better. if you use him with with dps who dont scale off atk like neuvi, then actually natlan support set is better, bc it doesnt require you to pick up shard with zhongli
if you want to use him as shield\sub dps, then you dont have to use 4p petra, but this crit rate is horrible. with this crit rate, you're critting once a patch, so all of your huge crit damage is useless :(
here is my burst dps zhongli top 5% on akasha. its not perfect bc i dont actually use it, bc tbh fav spear is just much more useful on him, but if you want damage zhongli its literally better to use 2 piece 2 piece
you want crit rate AT LEAST higher than 50% on your dps\sub dps, or your huge crit damage is useless:( on sub dps zhongli, you generally want geo dmg cup bc 30k~ shield is usually enough to sustain. ER and atk should be higher than mine
tldr let me know HOW you want your zhongli to function bc rn i'm kind of guessing. again, im not trying to tell to NOT build dps zhongli, some of my fav mutuals are zhongli simps, but this is just not a functional build:(
with your neuvi its tbh much better than your zhongli asdfghjk. marichussy hunter gives him 36% crit rate, so this is actually 80% crit rate build which is more than enough. like yeah obv its mid, but its clear youve been farming for just a week. stay in the mines for like 3 more weeks and it will be better. you need more crit dmg and hp, thats it.

basically: 4 pc of that electro relic set, 2 pc of the crit rate planetary set
crit rate body piece! is a must! - the crit rate planetary set gives you 15 bonus damage for your ult and follow up damage and its really good for his damage output BUT you need to get to 50+ crit rate
ps if you can get to 50+ without the crit rate body set you could totally go for crit damage but itll take a LOT of relic rng to reach that threshhold
id reccomend atk for the feet but if you have a speed one it can work? kind of?
electro orb bc hes electro
and atk link rope but if you have an er link rope, thats also great - er is rare and his burst helps add more stacks to his follow up attacks and more stacks = more damage
gl with relic rng! id do more relic farming myself but i reaaally need to farm for his trace mats and (why is everything so expensive)
The 50+ CR is always so daunting LOL but I’m gonna do my best!!! and hopefully I have better luck for the 5 star pieces than I do in genshin when I finally start going for them.
Ughhhhhh the trace materials kill me, that’s even WORSE. Easy!! But it’s just frickin awful. I feel like!!! HSR’S farming thingies!!!! are more expensive than Genshin’s!!! in terms of farming!!! And I hate it grrrrr
Thank you for the tips!!! Holding these near and dear to my heart hehehe 🤗

Me being sad that my Xiao "only" hits 30k in one plunge attack like "his crit ratio is okay, he's at nearly 2k atk, he got benny and sucrose to buff him... what am I doing wrong???"
but alas, he's not at 200% crit damage OTL, and he may or may not be running 2 piece wanderers because it had better substats than anything I could've used on him... tempted to use my blackcliff pole on him... considering he's ascending with crit rate, I feel like I don't need deathmatch....
#that said#i still don't know why people have energy problems on xiao#i have him on 135 or so#and he's doing fine with sucrose as battery#which u know#comes in handy for the 48% atk buff from thrilling tales anyways

Cleo sub-DPS Build Guide (MUST BUILD 4*!!)
Hello Everyone! In this post I will share with you the detailed build guide of the 4-star Electro Claymore User Cleo. She is rate up on this current banner and since Etho is rerunning next patch, I figured now is the perfect opportunity for you to learn why she is a must build for any hyperbloom team.
✦✦✦ Kit and Playstyle ✦✦✦
Cleo is a 4-star ATK scaling Electro Claymore user who works well as a Physical DPS but really shines on teams based around Elemental Reactions. This guide will focus on her application as a sub-DPS, especially for hyperbloom teams.
◇ Normal Attack: Grave Vengeance
Cleo's normal attack performs four consecutive strikes dealing physical damage. Like the other claymore users, her charged attack Performs a spinning attack on nearby enemies, gradually draining stamina.
◇ Elemental Skills (E) : Expert Puppeteer
Cleo leaves an electro marker on the ground, referred to as an Ethereal Clone, that does periodic AoE Electro DMG, though this amount is very small. This skill has two charges, and two markers can be on the field simultaneously.
◇ Elemental Burst (Q) : Imitation of Life: Destructive Light
Much of Cleo's DMG comes through in her Burst, which really shines when effectively using her E skill. Deals massive AoE Electro DMG around the placed markers, which then become summons who deal additional Electro DMG to nearby enemies. When using this burst without markers on field, the AoE will come from Cleo and no summons will appear, so it is advised to make effective use of her E skill. Summons, referred to as Ephemeral Imitations, deal DMG for 4s.
Cleo's burst has an energy cost of 60 and a cooldown of 20s.
◇ Passives
- Precision and Might: Having maximum markers on the field increases Cleo's EM by 30.
- Harsh Truth of the Undead: If below 50% HP, Cleo has a 25% chance every 3s for one Normal Attack to be infused with electro.
- Deft Hands: 25% chance to refund materials when crafting Character and Weapon materials.
✦✦✦ Ascension & Talent Materials ✦✦✦
◇ Vajrada Amethyst
Like all Electro characters, Cleo will need Vajrada Amethyst for ascension. Players will need to collect the following amount to get her final ascension:
Vajrada Amethyst Sliver x1
Vajrada Amethyst Fragment x9
Vajrada Amethyst Chunk x9
Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone x6
◇ Drops from Undead Hoardes
Undead Hoardes are found all throughout the world, most commonly in early regions like Ention or Riveia. To get Cleo to final ascension, you will need:
Rotten Tooth x18 (x18)
Decaying Fang x30 (x66)
Jaw of the Undead x36 (x93)
(Parentheses are for all talents to level 10.)
◇ Singing Fruit of the Choir of Leaves
Singing Fruit of the Choir of Leaves can be claimed by defeating the Central Leybeast in Riveia. Like other bosses, it costs 40 resin to collect materials. You will need x46.
◇ Glowberries
Glowberries is Cleo's local specialty from Hermitopia. Unlock the Hermitopia Archon quest to be able to travel there. You will need x168. They can be grown in the teapot.
◇ Persistence Talent Books
Persistence Talent Books can be gotten from Mooncalled Depthstrider's Palace (Hermitopia) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
◇ Coin of the False God from the Scourge of the Mirror Factory weekly boss
Complete the Hermitopia Archon Quest to unlock this Trounce Domain.
✦✦✦ Artifacts & Stats ✦✦✦
Cleo's best Artifact set is now Widow's Encore in the 5.3 update.
2-piece set increases Elemental Mastery by 30. 4-piece set increases the DMG of elemental burst when an elemental reaction with electro, such as Electro-Charged, Overload, Superconduct, Hyperbloom, Quicken, Aggravate or Spread, has occurred within the last 2s.
Sands: ATK%/EM
Goblet: Electro DMG
Circlet: CRIT rate/DMG
Substats: ER, CRIT rate and DMG, ATK%
ER: ~130-160%
Another good option for Cleo is 2-piece Thundering Echo set, 2-piece Widow's Echo, which increases Electro DMG and EM respectively.
✦✦✦ Weapons ✦✦✦
Cleo's best in slot is The Twin Splitter (Weapon banner), but other standard 5* options include Forge's Spine and the BP weapon Carrion Vengeance. 4* weapons that are good for Cleo include the forge weapon Whiteout and the standard weapon Bornagain Ashfinder. If necessary, for new players and f2p players, the best 3* weapon for Cleo is the Talking Stick.
✦✦✦ Talent Priority ✦✦✦
Burst > E. Skill > Normal Attack
A good suggested level for folks who do not want to go all the way is 6/8/9.
✦✦✦ Team Comps ✦✦✦
GOATed Hyperbloom - Cleo's best team by far. Cleo as sub-dps and electro application, Bdubs as hydro application and support, and Etho as on field DPS and dendro application. A flex healer is good for this team, especially considering Bdubs's HP mechanic. Personally I use Joe Hills for her grouping abilities, and anemo is always welcome in a hyperbloom team.
Cleo Superconduct (DPS) - Cleo as main DPS, then Xisuma for electro resonance and support, Iskall as sub-dps and cryo application, and Ren for cryo resonance, maybe
✦✦✦ Constellations ✦✦✦
C1: ATK speed up related to E skill.
C2: Increases charges on E skill.
C3: Talent level increase.
C4: Increases Cleo's ATK based on party member HP.
C5: Talent level increase.
C6: Burst duration increase.
Cleo's cons are nice, and she is a perfectly good DPS/sub-DPS at C0, but C2 is absolutely incredible for anyone looking to play and build her long term.
◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆
That's all for the guide! Happy wishing and hope you enjoy the current Rate UP (get those cons)! Let me know in the comments if you're planning on building Cleo and if you're considering pulling on the Etho rerun next patch!!
