Doing this because it pains me to see people hating on him, while it’s completely valid to dislike a character, my baby gets over hated 🙁

Firstly, the reason he went to the games. For his mother. Not only that but he felt so ashamed of what he did so he wanted to get the money to show his mother that he was successful in something.

Secondly, why he betrayed Ali. I’m gonna be so fr with yall. He just met him. Like, they only knew each other for maybe 5 days? And in a life or death situation, it would be any normal persons reaction to take out someone that they barely know. And he didn’t even kill him, sure he was the indirect cause but some of yall make it seem like he’s the one who shot him.

Thirdly, why he killed 067. Let’s be honest, she was going to die anyways. She got mf hit in the stomach by a huge glass shard, and I don’t think the frontman or any guard would fix her up for the last game. Now, we have to remember that this is a survival of the fittest sorta game, so logically, yes. It makes sense why he killed her. He took out a weak opponent, sure it’s a little heartless, but he had given up on humanity long before the games. Not only that, but you can see the pain in his eyes after he did it PLUS after he betrayed Ali. Not saying her death wasn’t sad also, just made sense.

Lastly, why he killed himself. This one’s gonna hurt me to talk about, because he’s my favorite, but.. He did it because he literally, could not leave without the money. If he did, he wouldn’t be able to support his mother, and he’d get caught by the police for what he did before entering the games. He’d just be cooked. His last words to Gi-Hun were literally to take care of his mother, so it irks me when people say he didn’t care about his mother. (bonus for the Sangihun nation: the way Gi-Hun held Sang-woo after he killed himself was just.. so sad. I cried the first 3 times I watched it, they don’t make yaoi that doomed everyday fellas.)
