to ease my anxieties over the election, i decided to watch Ever After: A Cinderella Story! and to no surprise, i absolutely loved it!!! all the costumes were so beautiful and i really adored the build up between henry and danielle ♥️
im a sucker for Cinderella stories so this version has a lovely spot in my heart~
definitely needed this movie to calm my nerves a little, ill probably remind myself to watch Practical Magic tomorrow after work 🔮 cuz i Really am gonna need it

do any of you also think that this peak late 2010s-2020s culture of packaging EVERYTHING into neat little easily consumable boxes of microaesthetics is also seeping into the music industry or am i just thinking too much
#one more time i see an album/artist being described as somethingsomething-core#without any constructive discussion of the piece's themes/craft/sound#i WILL burst a vein#like....... i love when bands and artists have their own unique visuals and aesthetics etc that *complements* the music they make#but these days for a lot of them... it just feels really not organic. more like “how to get viral on tiktok 101”#i mean you can't blame them especially the up and coming ones bcs that's just how music marketing works now#but i miss when artists/bands did not give a fuck

okay so I am ~2 episodes into The Avengers on britbox (which doesn't start at the beginning - is this a copyright thing or an Oh Yeah We Burned Some Of It thing?) and I know 60s telly well enough that I know there is a zero percent chance that Steed and Peel are ever going to do anything with all that sexual tension but this will not stop me hoping they will anyway.

o think the "if we were really in love you wouldn't have missed" fake quote is like not good but it had so much potential... putting aside the "he would not say that" of it all just as a standalone quote I can see the appeal but a) you don't have to spell out everything in a sentence. context is good. and b) cool quotes are usually punchy and memorable? with the exception of period pieces and cheesy romance monologues (a la pride and prejudice and 10 things I hate about you, respectively), if your sentence is too long and obviously trying to be cool and deep it's gonna come off as verbose and lame. also "in love" is weak I think "if you loved me" is more impactful and fits the sentence structure better
#I think the whole concept is kind of cheesy like the idea of that scene is like. i see the appeal. in a romance. or in a fanfic#but also i think 'i still love you.'/'why did you miss?' comveys the point while sounding less like theater 101 self written scripts
